On today's episode of the Fumble Ruski podcast, the Seattle Seahawks have officially been sold in a deal that's worth $9.6 billion.
A fancy football guy has been scamming many people, NFL draft expert, Matt Miller.
The story behind him, his accident and his scam.
Other NFL news, including Tim Riggins.
I completely butcher that.
that's not his name.
John Riggins,
thinking of Friday night lights.
John Riggins, having his number retired,
we'll go into top five quarterbacks
in a preview of the NFC West
heading into the 2026 season.
All that more.
This is the Ulmeruska podcast.
It may not have always showed it in the staff sheet,
but you can see him making throws
when he needs to make the throws.
Back-to-back games where he has three touchdowns.
Someone's got to get that six or seven spot.
He's an elite wide receiver as a rookie.
Truly a lose,
scenario for both sides.
Welcome to the Fumblerusky podcast by Secret Weapon Consulting.
We got Tuck.
We got myself, Chris.
No CJ today.
He's on vacation.
No Adam.
For usual, that's been common theme in the last, pretty much this entire off season,
unfortunately.
But, tuck, how's your weekend?
It's going good, doing a bit of cleaning right now.
Can't complain.
Yeah.
You catch the UFC fights this weekend?
I saw some of them.
I heard about the counter fight, and I'm surprised, but I really shouldn't be.
Yeah.
He's had a problem with his foot for like a while now.
This dates back since like 2020.
Well, it wasn't even his foot.
It was his knee.
He like tore his ACL.
Yeah, like he has, he's had constant problems with his leg, like dating back with like that calf injury with Dustin
Corrier in the second.
fight. And then he shattered
his, what's I'm call it,
his foot in the third fight, or
injured it when he tried to check
it. It was like, damn.
Well, remember
that Nate Diaz fight
he had when, basically when we were
in high school, a second
Nate Diaz fight. He like broke his foot
because of the amount of, and it didn't affect,
he ended up winning the fight via decision,
but he like broke his foot
from the amount of times he was
kicking Nate Diaz.
Mm-hmm.
And then he agreed to fight Eddie and still won that fight convincing.
Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean it.
The fights like the Josie Alvarez or the Jose Alvarez or the guy who just said, I can't think of his name.
Eddie Alvarez.
Or, yeah, Jose Alde. It was like Jose Aldiore and Eddie Alvarez, right?
Yeah, he basically turned those two into complete headcases when he fought them.
Yes.
But, yeah, especially probably the quickest end to a UFC event I've ever seen because you had the Patty Pimbleau fight going like 40 seconds.
Yep.
Do you see that submission?
That was quick.
That choke was dangerous.
I don't even know.
I can't even like compliment.
comprehend how he got him into that position just so quickly.
He almost had him on his back.
Then he got him to the front.
And then it's kind of like a dars where he goes underneath and then put his leg on top of him to make it even.
It was impressive what he did.
Oh, yeah.
To do it in that amount of time to get him out of there.
And he's not, his opponent wasn't a weak guy.
He's a top six fighter in the division.
And he got him up out of there.
Patty's been coming a long way, even with the Gay-Chief fight.
He almost won that one.
And so I'm happy for Patty.
He's definitely up this game, and I don't know, he might be looking for a fight with Ilya now.
He might actually, he might win that one.
He might.
He's definitely lined up for a championship fight soon, that's for sure.
Yeah, I could see that.
Yeah.
I was kind of tuning, me and my friends were kind of trying to tune back and forth from the UFC stuff.
to the Argentina
at Switzerland game as well
and so we're on YouTube
so we're going from like YouTube TV
to Paramount Plus back to YouTube TV
and YouTube TV kept putting us
back to where we left off
and we didn't realize
it's still like the second or third time around
so we're like
way behind we're like well behind
we're like a good 10 15 minutes behind
and my buddy's girlfriend ended up spoiling
the fact that there was a goal
so I was like
all right, let's get up to where the goal is.
And we were still very well behind.
And then I looked on ESPN to see where we needed to go.
And then I was like, fuck, there's a red card.
And I'm better.
I, now it's spoiled that there's a red card.
So we're like, all right, let's go to where the red card was.
We ended up getting to where the call was made or what the call was.
We didn't realize that was what the red card was.
So we're like, all right, let's keep fast forwarding.
we ended up being like, oh, they're, oh, they're already in VAR.
We're like, oh, that was the play.
And so that I was like, oh, shit, they're going to, they're going to give them a card for flopping or whatever, or for simulation, I should say, which everyone wants to say that shit's rigged.
Like, I'm sorry, if you're flopping at the midfield in front of the benches and not in the box like that, you're a fucking idiot.
you deserve to get a yellow card for that.
And stupid enough for the fact that he already has a yellow card in that game.
No.
Yeah.
What a lot of great,
a lot of great controversy and FIFA this year.
I love it.
I love it.
Mm-hmm.
Wouldn't be the same without it.
No, sir.
No, sir.
All right, let's get into football.
American football.
Seahawks got sold for damn near $10 billion,
$9.6 is the number that sources say.
Group led by San Francisco 49ers limited partner, Beno Kosovoz, agreed to make the purchase
announced on Saturday.
In terms of the deal were not disclosed, but multiple leak sources with knowledge of
matters said the selling price would be $9.62 billion, which is a record for an NFL
franchise, which fuck, man, if the Seahawks are going for that much, I can only imagine what
like the Cowboys or like the Chiefs or even Patriots are going to go for.
I could see the Cowboys going for like 13, 14 billion.
Oh, yeah.
Because they're the most profitable.
Yeah, they're, well, never mind the fact that they're the most profitable.
They're just one of the most, they're one of the most valuable franchises in all of sports in the world.
Yep.
And most widely recognized.
Yeah.
You see that star, you think of the Cowboys.
Exactly.
an aptitude for the last 30 plus years.
Yeah.
As part of the deal, which is subject to owner approval,
the Kozla family will be required to relinquish its ownership stake in the 49ers.
The family will become the Seahawks controlling owner.
So, yeah, we were first, right before we got started,
we were talking about potential of a weirdness going on just because the 49ers,
but since they have to relinquish, they're part of it.
I mean, you're going to end up making more money just being owners of the Seahawks anyways,
instead of being a limited partner.
Seahawks obviously went up for sale after the team beat the Patriots and the Super Bowl this year.
The news of it came before the game.
Article says that they went up for sale after.
Everyone knew it was going to happen before the game even happened.
It was like, what, a week, the week before the game that the news came out?
Because I remember we were talking about it like that Tuesday or Wednesday prior to Super Bowl Sunday.
So franchise has been owned by the estate of Microsoft co-founder Paul G. Allen since his death in 2018,
Alan's sister Jody has controlled the team as executor of the trust with a directive from her brother to eventually sell the Seahawks and the NBA's Portland Trailblazers and donate the pro.
seats to charity, which Trailblazers already got sold to the Carolina Hurricanes owner.
So that was already done.
So yeah.
Whenever someone says Paul Allen, he's not the first one I think of.
Yeah.
I go to Minnesota and think of him.
Yeah.
I swear there's like another one.
That name is so popular.
Well, there's Paul Allen from American Psycho.
That's probably it.
Yes.
That's the most known Paul Allen.
We're talking pop culture.
That's the most known Paul Allen.
Let me see Paul Allen's card.
Let me see Paul Allen's card.
All right.
Yeah, so I guess it'll just be curious to see how this new ownership leads to Seahawks now.
Is this going to?
Will this be the.
continuation of the Seahawks successor,
will this be the
end times, I guess.
Because this, you know,
Koso is the founder of Kosovo Ventures,
a venture capital firm and has a net worth of
$13.8 billion.
It might be.
It really depends because
depending on how they want to run it and they're
only looking for profit, they might
just get rid of players just to maintain
profit. Yeah. 100%.
Yeah, because venture capital
firms tend to do that when they
only look at the bottom line and if they're losing money, they're not big fans on it.
So they would rather make money and lose players than vice versa.
For an example, the Boston Celtics just did that with Jalen Brown, which is kind of crazy.
Yeah.
Yes and no.
It's that whole thing still so weird.
The Jalen Brown thing is like they weren't going to, they weren't going to resign them in two to three years.
The main problem is the stupid fucking CBA.
And we can make a whole podcast about how the CBA sucks for the NBA.
And you can't give him and what I'm going to call it, JT 35%.
That's a combined 70% of the total money.
You can't do that.
Which, to be fair, like, if this was four years ago, three years ago, that wasn't the case at all.
Like, before this, like, even when the CBA first got,
out into place for the NBA, that was like,
Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum still weren't taken up that much of the cap or the luxury
tech or just their caps.
Yeah,
their cap space in general.
And the only reason why it's at 70% now is because that's how the CBA is constructed.
Like you can't keep two guys that are on supermaxes for longer than three or four
years at this rate because that CBA went in like the year that,
the cell basically went in the year that the Celtics made all those moves and got
true holiday and kp and whatnot and it wasn't until this is three years later now
where this is now we have finally gone to the peak of this cba fucking over the Celtics
it's not just going to happen to your okay c we'll have to deal with it oh yeah it's
going to happen to OKC. It's going to happen to the Spurs. The only reason why it's not going to
happen to teams like the Knicks. And you could say it's not going to happen to teams like
the Spurs either because Wembe ended up taking a essentially took a pay cut. Yep, because he's
setting up, he's now setting the precedent for that. Yeah. Well, Jalen Brunson set the precedent.
He took a massive pay cut. And that's why the Knicks ended up winning a ring because they were
able to spend the money to build a team around Jalen Brunson. And now, and now, and
Now Wemby is following suit to what Jailen Brunson did.
So I would, I wouldn't mind seeing like that happen, but, I mean, because the NBA contracts are out of control.
Yeah, but would you rather have an NBA contract or an NFL contract, which leads us to this?
I'm not sure how the situation will go in Seattle, but I know the bottom line is they're worried about profit and they're going to do whatever it takes to make profit.
regardless of the team.
Yeah.
So they'll look at the books,
they'll see whether or not a player
is worth the amount of money they're getting
and probably if they're not making a profit,
get rid of said player,
even if they're a valuable asset to the team.
I don't want to think of it as callous,
but venture capital firms only care about the bottom line.
If they're not making money,
what are you doing?
Yeah.
I think that I think there might be more that goes into it
because the dynamics of the NFL when it comes to, like, structuring a team are, like, different than the NBA.
So I hope it doesn't ruin the Seahawks.
But again, they have to be careful.
They have to be very careful how they go about this.
Oh, yeah.
They're in a good spot right now, and they can honeymoon this period in because they just won a Super Bowl.
But still, this is something they need to be very wary about.
Yeah, 100%.
Like, I am.
him more trusting in the fact of
Bill, like back to the Celtics real quick,
I'm more trusting in Bill Chisholm
to not fuck over the Celtics with
with money for that matter
because he is a
Massachusetts born guy. He grew up a Celtics fan.
That's what made
Wigg Grossbeck so great was because he was
actually from the area. And
when I look at Vinod Kozla,
Indian American billionaire, entrepreneur,
venture capitalist
from India.
And after that, he
went to the Indian Institute of Tech in Delhi.
So he's not, I'm not saying, let's deport him, obviously.
I'm bringing up his past and where he's from to, I'm bringing up his past because he's not
from Seattle.
He's not a Seahawks fan.
The main problem with these venture capitalists and these private equity companies and
these firms are that most of the time, the owners aren't even from the area.
So they, like, they're just more like, oh, let's own a sports team.
And they're not actually like, like, yeah, I could be wrong in saying that.
I don't, obviously, I don't know Beno Costla, like he's my best friend.
But that could definitely, that could definitely be of harm.
Maybe we're being too pessimistic.
Maybe we should give him a chance because he was with the 49ers and they did pretty damn good.
Yeah, but it was only a minor partner.
Yeah.
So we don't know how good he'll be in this venture, but let's give him some grace.
The CEO still have a formidable team right now.
I don't think they'll just collapse now.
I think this is something you have to look over the next two to three years before we can give it a fair shake.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I'm not 100% like all in on shitting on this just yet, obviously.
I'm also willing to give this some grace of what it could be.
but I mean, who knows?
I think it's easier to build an NFL team
based upon the number of opportunities
to do it through free agency through the draft
than it would be for an NBA team.
Yeah.
First franchise that's been bought since
2003 when Josh Harris bought the commanders
before that, the Walton Penner family bought the Broncos.
Didn't David Tepper buy the Panthers recently?
ish yeah but that wasn't the most recent
like when was that because it felt a lot recent than what it
you're now telling me like 2019
uh that's a good question
man let me look it up because i remember when people were asking step
curry to be an owner or a minor owner of the
of the panthers yeah
um
david
tepper uh july
2018 18
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
That makes sense.
But yeah, it's just getting more and more expensive to be owners.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, that's just...
Because you got the Waltons with the Broncos.
You got the situation with the $9 billion firm with the Seahawks,
commanders.
It's just...
And then in the NBA, again, the Lakers just got bought,
majority share owner by another
which we'll call it. And that's just
to keep up. So.
Yeah. Yeah. It's getting
more and more expensive to be an owner and more
and more expensive for everyone else.
Yeah. It's not
surprising. That's just how the economy is. Now,
everything's just more expensive. Yeah.
Everything's just more inflated. And
it doesn't affect the rich, but in a damn
sure affects the rest of us. True.
True.
All right.
Let's get into
our next topic.
The fantasy football scam that's been kind of starting to track from the last a couple weeks.
If you're not familiar with Matt Miller, Matt Miller is a ESPN NFL draft analyst and insider.
And he also is known for hosting a lot of fantasy leagues, numerous, like a ton of fantasy leagues where he's the league commissioner.
He most recently made the news because he was in a bad accident where he ended up getting his army amputated.
Bad stuff.
Bad accident.
Really feel sorry for him.
But awful announcing came out with an article and we're talking about it on their podcast about how there's a scam going on that Matt Miller is at the forefront of.
And basically the scam is very simple.
He's holding a bunch of fancy football leagues being the league commissioner.
And he's got, it's essentially like a 50-50 payout.
I think 50% of the proceeds go to charities.
And the other 50 go to the winner of the league.
And instead, he's just pocketing it all, essentially.
essentially. There is that the league winners have not actually been getting paid out. They've been
getting ghosted by Matt Miller. Um, with this scam. It's, it's bad stuff. It is bad stuff. Um,
yeah. Come on. That, that's not good. Come on. You, it's already bad enough. You're not paying the
guys, but you're also not paying charity as well, even though you agreed to the split that that's not a
good look, that's a, that's very nasty.
If it, if it is true.
Yeah.
This is a tweet from Dove Kline and take this with a grain of salt, but this is basically from what
is the same thing that awful announcing was saying.
I just can't find the exact thing.
Miller allegedly commissioned hundreds of fantasy leagues over the last few years and not
paid out winnings, allegedly collected dues intended for charity.
that were not in operation and under his own name,
also allegedly sold scouting courses between $5,200 to $1,200
from repeatedly ghosted clients after payment was made.
And there are also news that broke that the Missouri Attorney General
is investigating the matter as well.
So Matt Miller, sorry that you lost your arm,
but you're fucked.
You're a bad guy.
You're a really shady person.
And maybe this is karma finally getting to him.
Maybe, maybe this is, this is God's way of saying, hey, get fucked, buddy.
Hopefully, this is one giant misunderstanding, but if this is true, something needs to be done with Matt Miller, even though he just got hit by a tractor trailer and had his arm amputated.
Yeah, like, I'm really sorry, I'm really sorry you lost your arm, but, like, go fuck yourself at the same time.
I'm sorry.
Yes.
Hopefully he can return the money that was stolen if he did steal it.
But until this time, hopefully the investigation will clear things up and make sure that,
hey, if he did steal it, time to go to jail and pay it back.
If he didn't.
Just another unfortunate thing in the life of Matt Miller.
Yeah.
It's looking like he's going to be on the wrong side of this, that's for sure.
Looks like someone needs to give him a hand.
something come on come on damn brother easy damn brother it is it is sorry that that was a layup I
took it hey it's an alley-up it's an alley-up it's an alley-you other NFL news John Riggins
is going to have his number retired by the Washington commanders boy he was a
fucking dog yes he was a dog mm-hmm franchises all-time leading rush
with 7,742 yards.
Second with 85 touchdowns.
Team best 79 rushing touchdowns.
33 more than Clinton Portis when he was still playing in Washington.
The Diesel.
Oh, and he's a Hall of Famer.
Yeah, Hall of Fame.
Good for him.
Adam and Terry is also getting inducted into the Colts Ring of Honor.
Does he deserve to be in the Patriots Ring of Honor as well?
He's a Patriots.
Yeah, he's a patriot.
Is he in there?
No.
So the Polts got someone before the Patriots.
The Patriots Hall of Fame is weird.
It's so weird.
Like, there's still so many guys from like the 2000s team that, like, the original dynasty that still aren't.
Like, they got Troy Brown in, like, probably 10 years too late, like 10 years later.
They got, they, like, just got Jules and Gras.
But, like, there's still.
so many guys from that 2000s team or those 2000s teams that still aren't on it.
Is Dionne Branch in the hall in the ring?
That's a great question.
I'm actually going to look up who's actually in the Patriots Hall of Fame.
Because I'm not going to lie.
I think about some of the names.
A Super Bowl MVP is not in your ring of honor.
Julian Edelman, Bill Parcells, Brady, Fids Willfork, Mike Rabel.
And Vrable was only inducted like two years ago.
Richard Seymour, Dante Scarnacia, Rodney Harrison.
I'll just, just for time's sake, I'm just going to read off the guys from this millennium.
So Edelman, Brady, Rable, Will Fork, Seymour, Rodney Harrison, Matt Light, Kevin Falk, Willie McGinnis,
Tylaw, Teddy Bruske, Gil Santos, Radio Play-by-Play announcer, legend.
Troy Brown, Drew Bledsoe.
I only add in Drew Bletsow because it's Drew Bletso.
Yeah.
And he was a patriot this decade, this side of the decade.
Exactly.
He was.
He was.
But yeah, that's it.
Oh, wait.
So, Wes Welker, it's not in the ring?
No Wes Welker, no Randy Moss, no Dion Branch.
Teddy Brucey's in there, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
William McGinnis is in there, right?
Yep.
All right.
Okay.
There's a lot of guys.
There's a lot of guys.
Granted, there are some guys that probably don't need to be as well.
But Logan Mankins, is he in there?
No, no Logan Manx.
Like I said, there's a lot of guys from the-
Yeah, there's a lot of people that are missing.
And I don't know why it's taking them so long to get them in the worry.
They only put in like one, maybe two a year.
That's the issue.
Why only one or two a year?
Is Bill being stingy about this?
You mean Bobcraft?
I mean Bill at the time, not now, but...
Oh, well, it's not a belt.
It wasn't a, it's not a Belichick thing.
It's a fucking, it's a Bobcraft thing.
Is it an expense?
I don't know.
I'm not really sure what...
I'm about to say it should be profitable to pit these people in the ring.
I mean, it's not a...
We don't have a ring of honor.
It's just, it's just the whole...
Hall of Fame.
Yeah, we have a Hall of Fame, too.
And I'm like, I can't name people that deserve to be in the Hall of Fame that aren't there.
Like, it'd be a struggle for me to find me.
Not saying there aren't, but it's like, we've usually put them in.
Yeah.
Well, the Hall of Fame finalists this year was Gronk, Logan Mankins, and Adam Minutary.
All of them were finalists?
Yeah.
So that means that they didn't get in.
It means that Rob Gruncowski is the only one.
Rob Gruncowski got in?
Oh, you're talking about the Patriots Hall, I'm sorry.
Yeah, yeah.
Still thinking about the, I thought you meant like the pro football whole thing.
Okay, that makes sense.
And also Adam Venetary should have gotten in.
Adametary and Logan Mankins and they have to wait another year.
That's the issue here is they only induct.
one person. I think the only time
I think the only time that they said
I think the only time that they
did more than one was the year Brady got inducted.
Yeah, but that's still nasty.
It's still nasty of them.
Yeah. Because there's no way
you're going to look me in my eyes and telling me
Adam Venetary shouldn't be in the Patriots Hall of Fame.
The Colts got to him before the Patriots,
that doesn't bother you.
Oh, it bothers me.
It definitely bothers me.
Imagine being in two Hall of Fame.
Like out of its area, he's a hall just.
He's a flat out of Hall of Fame kicker in general too.
And like he's responsible for two of the most important rings.
Like, yeah, probably, yeah, two of the most important rings in franchise history.
And yet he doesn't get the respect he deserves.
Yeah.
All because he decided.
decided to leave in the offseason and go one another Super Bowl with the Colts.
Had to wait a year.
Actually, yeah.
He left in 05, went there in 06 and won a ring immediately.
Yep.
I don't wait.
Tom out.
If Vinatari's not getting in, does that mean Stephen Gostowski doesn't get in?
Gaskowski won't get in for like another 20 years or so, 20 or 30 years.
And that's it.
That's if, in all sense of purposes, Bob Kraft's probably going to be dead in 10 years.
That's if Jonathan Kraft,
But that's if his son Jonathan Kraft is willing to up the number after that.
Yeah.
Oh, well.
Hopefully they do up the number because more people need to be in there.
Yeah.
Because it's starting to get ridiculous how crowded it is on the outside
and how spacey it is in the inside.
Especially because, like, you still also have to induct a lot of guys from the second dynasty as well.
Yeah.
You got to induct Dante High Tower.
Yes.
For starters.
Does Chandler Jones get in or no?
Yes and no.
I could see no because he wasn't there long enough,
but he did win a Super Bowl and was productive with y'all.
Yeah.
But I'm going to say no right now because when I think of him,
I think of him more as a card rule.
But like if we're just talking like Patriots, like guys that were patriots.
Does Malcolm Butler get in?
Because on the one hand, you may think he hasn't done enough.
On the other hand, he single-handedly won a Super Bowl.
The problem is that you could argue that he really only had like one good year, two good years.
Doesn't matter.
Yeah, I know.
If it's enough to win you a Super Bowl, if that one, I think he gets in just based off that,
because it's seriously a top 10 play in NFL history,
even though it shouldn't have happened.
It's still a top 10 play.
It's probably the greatest play in NFL history.
Yes.
The only thing that might top it is coincidentally enough,
the David Tyree catch.
Yeah, the David Tyree catch or the Julian Edelman catch.
Those are up there too.
Yeah, which is that's...
People will probably still say David Tyree just because of the circumstances.
Yeah, and I think he's...
should be in the Giants Hall of Fame, even though he didn't do anything.
But he won't.
But he won't.
But I'm not sure.
I think Malcolm Butler has done enough to be like, hey, he was competent for the time he was here.
Yeah.
And he could have won another Super Bowl, but Belichick said no.
Yeah.
My thing with Malcolm Butler is like, I, like, I'm still putting Devin McCordy, Patrick Chung, and Dante High Tower well before.
putting him in.
Yeah.
Hold on wait time on.
Does Gilly get in before him?
Yes.
Gilly definitely gets in.
I wouldn't say,
he also had a really big
interception in the Super Bowl,
including a big play
that set the Patriots
to the Super Bowl and the AFC
talking about time on.
I just realized something.
Is Asante Samuel not
in the Patriots Hall of Fame?
Oh, no, he's definitely not.
Is he not going in?
I doubt he goes in.
He was,
Byzanté Samuel is fucking insane for the Pats, but he's not exact.
I wouldn't consider him like a patriot, you know.
Or well, like, he's a patriot, but you get what I mean.
Like you don't think of him as one.
You think of him more as an eagle?
No.
I mean, I don't know.
It's trying to think of like a player that would be like a good comp, I guess.
Like a player that's been on multiple teams?
Yeah.
I don't know.
It's tough.
Like, I also, like, I kind of think of Asante Samuel as like Chandler Jones in that sense at that point.
Because Asante Samuel does have a ring with the Patriots.
But, and he also, he went to two Super Bowls with the Patriots, but also, I, he didn't spend the majority of his career with the Patriots.
Are you going, are you holding Super Bowl 43 against him?
42.
42, yes.
Yes and no.
Fair enough.
I think he should get in.
I don't think he will get in
because there's so many people ahead of him.
I think there's just too many different factors,
Super Bowl 42 to say that Asante Samuel
should get the fucking shaft for dropping the pick.
True.
If he's able to,
if everyone blames him for dropping the pick,
they should blame Rodney Harrison as well
for not being able to separate the ball from David's Irene.
Yeah.
Or just the Patriots put up more than 14 points in the Super Bowl.
That'd be nice.
Damn.
I don't know.
No, no.
I thought about it.
I thought about LaGarrett Blunt, but no.
Yeah, like Lagardeerick Blunt, I probably want to put in.
James White, 100%.
James White's not going in for a while, though.
Yeah, well, that's why I mean.
That's why I keep saying, you know, a lot of these guys aren't going to see the Pat's Hall of Paying for another 30 years.
Yeah, so unfortunate, but I think first and foremost, the one that needs to go in before anybody else right now is Adam Finner Terry.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Real quick, before we move on to our actual point of the episode, you hear about the new Terry on Arnold News.
I heard he was released.
outside of the fact he got released two weeks ago.
Yeah.
I hear he has interest from other NFL teams.
I'm not sure.
I'm not sure who will take him right now.
I think it'll be some time before anyone will take a gander at him
because let's face it, he wasn't the best corner,
even under the betters, under the most surreal circumstances.
Yeah.
Now it's just, yeah, I think it might take some time.
teams interested in New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans, and Indianapolis Colts.
And that was within 24 hours after the lines cut him.
I think the Indianapolis Colts could use him to pair up with Sawes Gardner.
I think Seattle is an interesting one because, quite frankly, do they really want that headache?
Not to say Tarian Arnold's a headache, just a situation around him is a headache.
Do they really want that blowback right now,
considering they just became,
they just got new owners and sold the team for $9.2.1,2 billion.
Yeah.
Well, here's something for you.
As of, excuse me,
as of three days ago when we're recording this podcast,
so four days from when you're listening,
he now does not need to wear a GPS tracker
as a condition of his release.
which allows him to continue to work out with NFL teams in an effort to get resigned after being cut.
And so the Hillsbury County State Attorney's Office filed a motion to reconsider the terms of Arnold's bond conditions after the lines cut him last week.
Prosecutors argued that Arnold is no longer in the unique position of being an NFL player,
which is a substantial change in the circumstances of the condition of his release.
the legal standard to consider modifications to bond conditions,
which the judge disagreed.
This could be an interesting case.
If he does join an NFL team, then it doesn't change anything.
Yeah.
Apparently, Terry on Arnold has a workout with the Texans this week
and another workout scheduled with another team next week,
according to Nicole Lynn and his agent.
I'm like, why do they need him?
Because they have Kamari Lasseter on the outside.
They have...
Or excuse me.
Excuse me.
He worked out with the Texans last week.
He's supposed to be working out with a different team this week.
Got you.
But I guess they want cornerback death.
But I'm like, do they really need Terry and Arnold right now?
I mean, I guess.
He'd be a great pickup.
He'd be a great pickup for them because I don't think he'd have the pressure being the, quote-unquote,
starting corner.
runner back, but he'd still be a solid pickup for them.
And that defense will get even more dangerous with him on it.
Yeah.
Interesting.
Very.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
Let's move on.
We'll take a quick break when we come back.
We'll get into our top-fight quarterbacks in a preview of the NFC West.
It may not have always showed it in the staff sheet,
but you can see him making throws when he needs to make the throws.
Back-to-back games where he has three touchdowns.
Someone's got to get that six or six.
He's an elite wide receiver as a rookie.
Truly a lose-lose scenario for both sides.
Welcome back to the Fulmler'ski podcast.
Time to get into our top five quarterbacks.
Tuck, you mentioned that you have some trivia?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
All right.
Let's do it.
Here's the trivia question.
As of the 2025 NFL season,
there have been 72 quarterbacks
that have thrown for over 4,000 yards.
However, there's only been five of them to have never made a pro bowl.
Can you name me those five people?
I'd say that again.
So it's...
As of the end of the 2025 season, there has been 72 quarterbacks that have thrown for over 4,000 yards.
Within that time, there have been five quarterbacks to never make the pro bowl.
Can you name me those five players?
And they threw for 4,000 yards.
Correct.
I feel like I got to go somewhat deep on.
this because like there's definitely quarterbacks since 2010 that I've thrown for 4,000
and the issue is that the Pro Bowl is so watered down.
Yep.
That's what makes this question difficult.
So I would assume like let's start well known, I guess, Philip Rivers is you on the board?
Philip Rivers has been a pro bowler.
But, like, I'm, I guess I'm saying 4,000 years.
I guess I'm thinking, like, threw for 4,000, but didn't make the Pro Bowl that year.
That's not what I mean.
Oh, like, just they've never, they just never done it.
They've never thrown for over 4,000 yards.
Oh, and also, what you?
Brew for 4,000 yards, no Pro Bowl ever in their career.
Ever.
All right.
This can be really tough.
fuck. Nick Foles?
Incorrect.
Not one of the five.
Give me...
Hmm.
Through for 4,000 yards and then got Pro Bowl.
Case Keenham?
Incorrect.
All right. Start giving me some hints here.
One of them threw for over 5,000 yards.
Through for 5,000 yards.
and he didn't make a pro bowl?
Correct.
He must.
James.
Correct.
I was about to say, he had to throw a lot of interceptions and, yeah, there you go.
He's done that three times.
Yeah.
Makes sense.
Especially those, the years right before Brady got there, they were really running gun.
Or aired out, I should say.
All right.
give me another hint.
Hmm.
Where do I go?
Seen as a bum in the regular season, elite in the postseason.
Bomb in the regular season, elite in the post season.
Or like average.
I'll give average.
Eli?
No, Eli Manning's a fucking roller.
Bum in the regular season, amazing in the playoffs.
Well, I said Nick Foles.
Perception.
And no, not Nick Foles.
Joe Flacco?
No, he was a pro polo.
Correct.
What?
Correct.
I would have thought.
Interesting.
Interesting.
He did it once in 2016.
Didn't make the Pro Bowl.
Interesting.
Huh.
I never knew that Flacco only threw for 4,000 yards once.
Mm-hmm.
All right.
Keep going.
Let me just make sure of this one before I give it to you.
One of them going to be like Josh Freeman.
Yes.
Oh, Josh Freeman.
Good poll.
That makes three.
I want to say Gino Smith, but he made.
Incorrect.
He threw it.
Incorrect.
Did you never throw 4,000?
Or he's a pro bowler?
I believe Gino Smith is a pro bowler.
Yeah, I was about to say.
I'm pretty sure he made a pro bowl like the last few years,
just because the watered down shit.
Yes, he has two of them.
Yeah, exactly.
exactly to my point
you have three so far
you're only missing two
all right
what decade
or what year I should say
what decade should I be looking for
they are this century
this century
all them are this century
well give me the decade I don't want the century
one of them is more recognized well one of them's 2010s the other one's two thousands
Jeff Garcia incorrect Carrie Collins incorrect Tom Brie not kidding
let's so definitely made it um
let's go with all right give me another head
was a part of the one of the worst teams in NFL history.
Blake Bortles.
Not the one I was thinking of, but correct.
Blake Bortles is one of those people.
Did it in 2015.
Not the one you're...
That was not the one I was thinking.
Are you guys telling me to Sean Kaiser through for 4,000?
No, he didn't do that.
But you're on right track.
Right track as in like the right team.
Right type of situation.
Oh, like team went.
Orlovsky?
No.
Stafford.
No.
He was never that bad.
John Kittner.
Correct.
Whoa, John Kittner.
He did it.
I was about it.
They're talking about the Browns or the Lions here.
If you were going to tell me Deshaun Kaiser threw for 4,000 yards, I would have lost my mind.
No, believe it or not, Kiddna did it in 06 and 07, back-to-back years.
Really?
Yep.
You must have been.
Damn.
Just wasn't going to.
How many intercept?
What was this touchdown at interception?
And 21 touchdowns, 22 interceptions.
18 touchdowns, 20 interceptions.
Yeah, well, there you have it.
There you have it.
Yeah.
Not much else needs to be said right there.
Yes.
So John Kittner, Joe Flacco, James Weston,
Josh Freeman, Blake Bortles.
Josh Freeman did it in 2011,
I believe,
because he was in the same rookie class as Cam Newton,
I believe.
But anyways, let me just make sure of Josh Freeman.
Nope, 2012.
Did it in 2012.
I'm trying to think of who he was thrown to in 2012.
He was with Tampa Bay at the time.
Oh, yeah, I know that.
I'm trying to.
Vincent Jackson would have been one of them.
Yes.
That would have been right before Mike,
that would have been like literally the year before Mike Evans got there.
Yep.
Sean Jackson wasn't there yet.
Yeah, I don't know who else he would have been thrown to for some reason.
Oh, wait.
Tight end.
Can't think of his name.
was he on that team at that point.
Keller or something like that.
It was like the son of
famous, of a Hall of Fame tight end
to play for the Chargers.
Hell me.
Kellan Winslow?
Kellan Winslow.
Junior?
Yeah, yeah, I think it was Kellan Winslow, Jr.
Could be.
I don't know.
All right. Let's get into top five quarterbacks.
Yep.
All right.
Give me your top five.
All righty.
controversial, but this is due to injury, not due to performance.
Five is Patrick Mahomes.
Coming off injury, don't know what he'll look like,
and to be honest, he's kind of been steadily declining,
but he's still Patrick Mahomes,
so a steadily decline is still better than most of the quarterbacks out here.
Oh, no, I think he'll be fine,
but he still won't be Patrick Mahomes-esque,
So that's something that needs to be taken with a grain of salts.
He won't be as mobile because he's still coming back from injury.
But I think he'll still make some plays that'll make you go like,
damn it, it's a patronal homes.
Yeah.
So I think he'll be good enough to be top five.
But still, coming back from injury, it'll be tough.
And the weapons that he has maybe will work, maybe not.
We'll see.
Number four, Matthew Stafford.
Oh, my damn.
Yeah, Matthew Stafford gets it.
I was thinking Joe Burrow, he gets, Matthew Stafford's the MVP.
He gets the nod and what's up healthy this season.
Matthew Stafford, NFL MVP, deservedly so.
Played a hell of a season.
Pro football MVP had an amazing wide receiving core,
used it to its full advantage.
F.U. Stafford is number four.
Number three, Lamar.
I can't put him one or two.
That hurt you put, that hurt you to put Lamar at three, huh?
Yes.
It hurts because I know he's one.
I know he's one or two, but I can't because if I'm going to doc Patrick Mahomes for injury,
I got to do it for Lamar too.
Yes, she didn't.
wasn't healthy either.
Damn it.
Damn it.
Well, in that case, if you're going to put Joe Burrow at two,
and then you got to dock,
you should be docking Joe Burrow and putting Drake May at two.
You want, as much as I appreciate and love Lamar,
injuries, riddled his season.
And ironically enough, he came out as the 69th best player in the NFL top
100 today. He's not, but again, it's due to injuries, not due to town or anything like that.
So, unfortunately, that's where he's at right now.
Who else? I can't believe I'm going to do this. And C.J. is going to kill me for this.
I believe, again, this one's more of a prediction, not what I actually think right now.
All right.
I believe Mike McDonald and Justin Herbert will have a offensive season.
Mike McDaniel, I mean?
Yeah, I'm sorry.
Can't Mike McDaniel.
I keep doing that.
Mike McDaniel and Justin Herbert will have an offensive season that will open some eyes.
And unfortunately, that will put him at two.
I don't think he'll stay.
Justin Herbert at number two.
I know.
I know.
I don't like it either.
It would be Joe Burrow.
But again, if I'm going to doc.
Lamar for injury.
I got a doctor for entry too.
And I can't put them over Stafford.
And I can't put them over my homes.
And if you think that hurts me,
number one hurts me even more right now.
Because number one, right now,
at this moment in time,
is Josh Allen.
Josh Allen,
even though he's the,
at the worst possible time,
I'll give you a turnover.
Even though I do not believe overall he,
is better than Lamar at this moment in time.
He was the healthiest quarterback and the best quarterback,
not only within the regular season, but in the playoffs.
Granted, he went to bed in the playoffs,
but still, he was the best quarterback remaining in the playoffs
during the divisional round.
And was partly mostly the reason why the Buffalo Bills had a chance to win the Super Bowl.
I believe at his very best, he is a hell of a player to deal with.
There is no doubt about it.
about it. I respect the hell out of his game, even though he'll make questionable decisions at times.
He is still a great quarterback, and I think he is deserving of the number one spot right here, right now.
This list is atrocious to me, but this is...
This is one of the most interesting lists I've ever heard.
Yes, and CJ is going to hear this, and he's going to be mad at me for where I put Herbert.
But, again, everyone else, I have to dock.
Yeah.
but no right now herbert's not better than stafford that's just how i think the season will go
interesting very interesting well um i guess it's my turn yes uh my number five is going to be
justin fields uh i think he's in for a big year now i'm kidding kidding he sucks almost almost
i was about to say no i don't think he sucks i think the NFL just robbed him of how good he could
then.
Why?
Because he was on the Bears.
Incompetent leadership,
incompetent coaching, just
bad all around.
It just wasn't good.
Yeah.
And then all of a sudden he almost
broke the rushing record if he had another chance at it.
Yeah.
And then he got to the Jets,
and you know how the Jets are with quarterbacks.
True.
And I thought he was having such a good start.
the season, but then it just fell off a cliff,
and then his owner was talking bad about his own player.
It's just, yeah, just I understand that he didn't play the best at times,
but I think the NFL could have been a bit more lenient with, like,
quarterbacks, and he's an example as to why.
Yeah.
But let me hear this damn five.
My five.
Patrick Mahomes is not in my top five.
Ooh.
He's not.
Before the injury, he was not playing good football at all, in my opinion.
Didn't crack forth.
He probably would have if he played a full 17 game season, most likely.
But when you look at the rest of the statistics, it wasn't really all that great.
Now, granted, this year, he'll actually have a run game to help him out, so maybe things get different.
but number five for me, Drake May.
Drake May is a top five quarterback.
He showed that this year,
and now he's got the weapons to really be a top five quarterback.
I mean, he had a 72% completion percentage.
He had the best deep ball in the league,
and it was second an MVP voting.
It's hard to say that he's not a top five quarterback, to be honest.
Yeah.
He also had the best QBR of,
of qualified quarterbacks too.
Best QBR,
best long ball, best completion percentage,
you name it, he was the fucking man.
Yep.
Number four,
I'm going to go with Joe Burrow.
Yeah, he had the injuries,
but when he's out on the field,
he's still the best damn quarterback,
or one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
Yeah, it's just a shame that, like,
the AFC is riddled with all the really good.
like the best quarterbacks it feels like compared to the NFC.
Yeah.
Like not even to knock on the NFC quarterbacks.
Like, like, like, Dak Prescott, he gets shit on a lot, but like he could, he probably
could have had an, he probably could have been up for MVP of the Cowboys had a better year.
Which is a huge if and a huge ask of them.
Yeah, 100%.
Um, shit.
Jared Gough, you could throw him in there as well because golf and Prescott were both two and,
second and third, respectively, in terms of passing yards.
And we're also up there in terms of passing touchdowns as well.
Yeah.
Three, I'm going Lamar.
There's not really much of a reason that I have for him at three.
I just feel like, I just feel like right now, Josh Allen's just a better quarterback.
This kind of goes back to my thing with, I guess my thing with when he won MVP,
but I guess it's kind of not as strong at this point
and it's the doing more with less argument.
But like when you look at both,
because Josh Jones is my number two.
Of course.
I'm just going to finish out my top five real quick
and then I'll,
and then we'll get it to the discussion.
Matthew Stafford's my number one MVP and the Rams are,
are the Super Bowl favorites.
Like we're probably going to do our top,
like our,
32, 1 to 32 ranking next week.
And like the Rams are my Super Bowl favorite this year.
And he's most like the year that he had last year and there's no change.
The receiving core, no change in the running back room.
Like they're they're just running it straight.
They're just running it back plus having Trent McDuffie and Miles Garrett.
So I think that Stafford's basically just going to have a repeat of last year.
or maybe go back to back.
Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson,
like you could make that argument
that Allen was doing more
with less in years past,
but like, especially last year,
like James Cook and
Derek Henry were basically,
it was basically like having the same exact thing.
Exactly.
Like a low,
like, like,
the Ravens,
low-key dog-shaped receiver room,
respectively.
Respectably.
Talk.
Isay flower.
is a top 100 player.
I can't say dog shit.
He's a top 100 player, but he's a wide receiver too on any other team, respectively.
Oh, and us, he's a 1,200-yard receiver.
Like, I can't look at the defendant.
And I think he's overrated.
That's fun if people think he's overrated.
He'll have moments where he's absolutely dominant,
and then there are other moments where I was like,
dear God, why did you fumble here?
Oh, yeah, but I guess my thing is like when you had, like,
both receiver rooms are essentially like you're not going to go far in the playoffs with either receiving room and the running backs are like James Cook and Derek Henry pretty much had um I'm just going to double check the numbers on both they they had basically the same exact season yeah just rushed for uh some more yards with a couple more attempts and had four less touchdowns
Yeah, and Derek Henry had to run behind the line without a right guard.
Yeah.
The only, yeah, like they both fumbled a ton.
Yeah.
They both averaged around 94 yards per game.
They both got touchdowns.
They both put up big numbers.
So you could say that both the Bills and the Ravens with Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are now in the same exact situation.
Hold on wait.
How do you see DJ more as a wide receiver?
How do I see DJ?
I don't see him the same way that I did five years ago.
Okay, that's fine.
Like, the bills love to get guys like two years too late outside of like Stefan Diggs, but.
Yeah, fair enough.
I mean, you can say the same thing about the Ravens.
You guys also love to get guys two years too late.
Yeah, but we don't have D.Hop no more.
Yeah, now.
It wasn't too
It was maybe a year too late
But I'm not going to complain
He did what he was supposed to
We just weren't healthy
And our defense was shit
Half the time
True
Anything else you want to talk about
In terms of the top five quarterbacks
No
I'm already
I'm already kind of regretting
Brendan Herbert had too
But I have faith
Amen, fair enough
Who's your dark course
To be a top five quarterback this year?
Dark horse?
Oh, be top five.
I mean, technically Justin Herber is your dark horse since you have him in your top five.
Yes, but if not him, I'd probably go Jared golf.
I think this is the year he steps up and you're like, all right, he's a top five quarterback.
Yeah.
I think he has the pieces around him to be a top five.
quarterback. I think he's shown the results. I think he has top five quarterback stats. I think it's
just a matter of us believing that he is. And if he does it again this season with a little bit
more playoff success, it's going to be kind of hard to ignore him as a top five quarterback.
Yeah. Yeah. All right. Let's get into our preview of the NFC West.
Starting with the last place team, the Arizona Cardinals, three and 14.
The fourth worst point differential in the league last season.
Somehow, some way.
This team was top 10 in passing yards,
but they were amongst the worst teams in points scored,
points allowed, and rushing yards.
They were bad.
They were bad.
But good news.
You up your run game.
You got Jeremiah Love.
That was your, that was what you got with the third overall.
pick. Chase Byzantus, guard from Texas A&M with second rounder. You got Carson Beck as well.
Obviously, Jacoby Percet is going to be the starter. But the way it's kind of panning out right now,
it's your offense looking like Jacoby Percette, Jeremiah Love, Marvin Harrison, Jr., Michael
Wilson, Kendrick Bourne. Those are your top three, along with Tray McBride. Those are the weapons.
Other than that, kind of just a transitional year for.
for Arizona, all things considered.
Got a new head coach as well.
I'm just double-checking the name right now
because it's escaping me.
Michael Fleur, duh.
So offensive-minded head coach, see how that goes,
but maybe we see some Carson Beck right now looking at the depth chart.
Carson Beck's the number three behind Gardner Minchu.
I mean, Carson Beck wasn't even really a highly touted guy to begin with.
Yeah.
But, talk, what do you make of the Arizona Cardinals?
I think they're building towards the future, not really looking at the present.
The quarterback position is apparent of that.
I don't think Carson Beck is what they're looking for in the future.
I think he has flashes here, there, but overall, I'm not sure yet.
It's what it takes to be a franchise quarterback, and that's what they're looking for.
Same thing with Jacoby Reset, but he's a stable veteran quarterback that will probably maintain the job unless for some reason.
Everyone wants to see what Carson Beck wants to do towards the tail end of the season.
I think the pieces around him with like trade McBride, Kendrickborn, Marvin Harrison.
I think Marvin Harrison can be a lot more than what he's showing.
I just wish he would have more opportunity.
and not have ball drops.
But I think there's more there.
I think Michael Wilson is also a good receiver for them.
I just,
the other side of it,
I think their defense is fairly good for what they have.
Not a lot of names,
but a lot of competence in pieces.
If the offense can get it together,
I think this team could be good.
And I think they're better.
than what the record shows.
They just play in the
in the toughest division
in football right now.
Yeah.
I think that's fair.
Right now, that is the toughest division
in football.
The other three teams made the playoffs
and all of them were vying for the number one seat
at one point in time.
So, unfortunately for them,
they just weren't good enough
this year.
And the talent,
last year
and the talent last year was just
not up to snuff and the competition
was just outright better.
I think this year they'll be a little bit better
but still
I'm not sure how far
they'll go in this division
in this conference
but we'll see
that's how I feel about the Cardinals.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm not really feeling the Cardinals
this year all that much
I think they'll probably
crack a couple more wins, but I mean, they went 0 and 6 against the rest of the NFC West last year.
And yeah, the Seahawks got like minorly worse.
49ers are basically the same as last year and the Rams got better.
So there's a chance that they go 3 and 14 again.
I say maybe 5 and 12, if anything.
But yeah, yeah, over under 3.5, I'll go with a slight over.
No, I think they'll go six.
I think they'll have six ones this year because they now have Jeremiah Love.
I think that gives them more opportunities to do things on offense,
depending on what they do.
However, he could be handcuffed at the running back spot.
Because isn't Zach Charbonnet on this team?
I mean, not Charbonnet.
Which will call it?
Alger.
Oh, yeah, Algear is on the team now, too, yeah.
So, yeah, he'll be handcuffed.
Probably.
And Alger didn't want to be handcuffed, but now they have another running back.
So I could see them winning five or six games.
Yeah.
Six games max.
That's like probably going to be their best.
That's probably the best outcome they could have.
Uh-huh.
San Francisco 49ers, 12 and 5 last year, another year where they just got beat the shit by injuries.
But they made it, they somehow made it work with Mack Jones.
made it to the playoffs at 12 and 5 and 3rd in the NFC West.
Yep.
Seattle, just when you think they're down and out,
they miraculously still figure out a way to win games,
even though they really shouldn't.
And they almost won the number one seed last year.
It came down to a week 18 game.
And if they weren't injured to hell,
they actually couldn't,
they might have been able to win,
but since, you know, that didn't happen.
Yeah.
I didn't see them winning.
After like the first half, I was like, this game is over.
They can't win.
Yeah.
But then they made the playoffs and they had to go to Philly
and they beat them after the way A.J. Brown and the rest of the company played.
And then they had to travel back to she-fam to face them.
And then they got their ass kicked.
I think that's a fairly certain thing.
Like from opening tip, they got whooped, and there was really not much they could do about it.
And, yeah, it ended their season in the divisional round.
I think Brock Purdy, I think he is a competent starter.
I think he's a very good starter, and I think he's on the Cups of elite tier.
But people still have questions about him, which is fine.
I think this year will be an opportunity to prove his doubters wrong, especially after he got paid.
So there's that.
They had it to the wide receiver room too, Mike Evans, Christian Kirk.
Yes, but my problem with Mike Evans is, will he stay healthy?
Oh, yeah.
And especially with San Francisco, nobody stays healthy.
Yep, Ricky Purcell is also in that room, and he can't stay healthy.
No.
Christian Kirk might be the only reliable receiver they have this year.
So look with that.
Chris McCaffrey just had like his first full healthy year in like three years.
And so he's due to probably miss like half the year again.
Yep.
Yes.
I'm not sure how I feel about the 49ers because on the one hand,
I think if they're healthy,
there'll be a problem.
But on the other hand,
we always say this about the 49ers.
And sometimes their seasons just go kaput with injuries.
I'm not sure.
if they can do it again this season, but I will say this.
If they can stay healthy, they're as good as any team in the NFL.
As long as they have Kyle Shanahan at the helm,
I think their offense will always be a threat.
They have George Kittles, CMC, Brock Purdy, and others to make it seem,
well, this could be interesting.
And then their line is competent enough to make it.
So I think it, I think they could be a wild card.
But again, I don't think they'll be good enough to deal with the Rams or the Seahawks.
So they'll just be in the same position they were last year.
I think this division comes down to either the Rams or the Seattle Seahawks, if I'm being perfectly honest.
But the 49 is should not be overlooked in the least bit.
That's how dangerous they can be.
Yeah.
I think they're going to have another 12 and 5 year, maybe 11 and 6.
We're going over under 12 and a half.
under but staying at 12.
12.
Yeah.
I don't see him hitting 13 wins.
No, not in this division.
I see them hitting 12, but not
13.
11 and 6. I'll say 11 and 6.
Yeah.
Moving on to the Los Angeles
Rams. Yep.
Second place and could have been
in first if they won the NFC championship
game or won that Thursday night
football game.
Yeah, they had their opportunities.
They had their opportunities.
They had their opportunities.
They lost on Thursday night.
They lost to the Panthers in the regular season.
They had opportunities here.
But first things first, ooh, that team looks good.
That team looks good now that they have Miles Garrett on that defensive front.
Oh, Lord.
That, yes.
Him, Byron Murphy, Jonathan Meyer.
they have pieces.
They got pieces.
And they just got to kill.
They just got to kill Wutherstone.
Not kill Wetherspoon.
Trent McDuffie.
Yeah.
They got Trem McDuffie in a trade.
So.
Yes.
So the secondary is looking better.
Their defense overall is looking better.
Matthew Stafford's still at the helm.
They still have Devante Adams.
They still have Pook and Nakua.
They still have.
have the running game, this team looks like a Super Bowl candidate.
I think they actually might outright won the division.
I think they're talented enough.
They have the potential.
And overall, they're hungry and they want revenge after what happened last year
after being knocked out in the, what you will call it,
in the NFC championship game.
Yeah.
They almost had it last year,
but because they were at Seattle,
they just didn't have enough to pull through.
And giving Seattle home field advantage
is almost basically asking for a loss.
Yep.
Yeah, I would like,
they're my favorite to win the division.
They're my favorite to make it out of the NFC.
They're going to go 14 and 3.
14 and 3.
That's what the Seahawks finished with.
Yeah.
And some of those games that the Seahawks play,
and you could say they shouldn't have one.
Um, like, I, like, I could see like the Rams this year having like a plus 200 point differential and just like beating the living shit out of a bunch of teams this year.
I could see that happening.
Yeah.
Like they're, they're going to be way too damn good.
What record do you have them going that if you don't have them going out of 14 and 3?
13 and 4, I'd have to look at the schedule again to be sure of it, but 13 and 4 is a safe bet for me.
I don't think they'll lose too many games.
What are you looking for?
Something else, just something stupid.
But the Rams themselves, I think they're going to be fairly competent.
I think they're going to look flat out dominant, like flexing their muscles type of dominant.
But I think this division will be way too, like, competitive.
and like prideful to just like outright let them win.
There's going to be some hairy close games and maybe a loss
because I just believe this division is that competitive.
But we'll see.
Yeah.
Moving on to the Seahawks, the winners of the NFC West,
the Super Bowl champions finishing 14 and 3.
They got picked apart.
That's pretty simple enough.
picked part this past year.
They lost their Super Bowl MVP, for starters.
Yep.
Who else did they lose again?
Kobe Bryant, I think, went to the Bears.
Yep.
They've lost a few pieces, but knowing them, they've been able to.
Kenneth Walker.
Tyreek Willans gone.
Boye Mafei Mafe is gone too.
Greek left.
So, yeah.
It's good.
Yeah.
And the defense was their biggest part last year.
So it's going to be interesting to see how the run game does this year with
Zach Jarmane as the leadback.
I mean.
Over price.
You think you'll be the lead back over price?
I'm just going off of what I'm looking at in the depth chart right now on ESPN.
Yeah.
I mean, not to say that Darien Price probably won't get carries,
but as of right now, Zach Charbonnet's your lead back.
Because we can't assume that the number two guy behind Jeremiah Love is going to be all that in a bag of chips.
Yeah.
I mean, he could be.
He could be all that in a bag of chips.
Might be.
I mean, he still got drafted in the first round, and Jeremiah Love went top of the first round.
Yeah.
I mean, we'll see.
We'll see how it goes.
But, yeah, this is.
not Super Bowl hangover,
but definitely some regression this year.
They're definitely not going 14 and 3 again.
Nope.
11 and 6, 10 and 7?
Yeah, 10 and 7 the floor.
I'm thinking more so 11 and 6
is probably going to be the most likely that they'll finish.
But I mean, I don't know.
Sam Darnold's gone 14 and 3 the last two years.
So maybe Sam Darnal is just 14 and 3
man, and we're just completely wrong.
Either way, I don't have the Seahawks winning the division this year.
No, they'll be well.
Winning the Super Bowl going back to back.
I guess that's where do we see the rest of the division shaping out,
since we have the Rams winning the division.
Rams winning the division, Seattle making the playoffs, 49ers making the playoffs.
Cardinals.
Improving, but not there yet.
They're not making a playoffs.
Yeah.
I could see the like going Rams, Niners, Seahawks, Cardinals,
and the Seahawks are probably going to get that like last wildcard spot or the
maybe the six spot.
49ers and at five.
And it's going to be a tight one throughout the season.
Like all three of those teams are going to be competing for the division title.
It'll right up until probably the last three weeks,
and then the Rams will probably kind of pull away a little bit
with the Niners still kind of nipping at their heels.
Yep.
Yeah.
All right.
