And once again, it's the expected outcome.
Terry McLaurin signing a three-year $96 million extension,
and Trey Hendrickson gets a $14 million pay raise,
but for this year, and it's still set to become a free agent.
Huh, all that and more.
This is the Fumbourski podcast.
It may not have always showed it in the statute,
but you can see him making throws when he needs to make the throws
back-to-back games where he has three touchdowns.
Someone's got to get that six or seven spot.
He's an elite wide receiver as a rookie.
Truly a lose-lose scenario for both sides.
Welcome to the Fumble Ruski podcast by Power 8018 Radio and Secret Weapon Consulting.
I'm Chris Kostitch with me, of course, C.J. Medeiros and Justin Tucker,
who hopefully will become a little bit more of a frequent flyer now that he's
Gradually graduated college.
Last time you were on, you just finished up classes.
Now you've officially walked across the stage.
Yes, I have.
I'm happy.
I have a little bit more free time before I have other things to do.
So I will be trying to make the show more often now.
I will be trying to be more consistent with it.
I'm bag boys.
I'm back.
Let's go.
Let's do this.
We are like perfect timing too.
since Trey Hendrickson got his pay raise and his hold-in is over.
So we talk a little EFC Northball with that.
But first, preseason football has come to an end, week three, done it over with.
So preseason takeaways.
We've done it each week of the preseason.
Do preseason week three.
Can just do the whole preseason itself.
takeaways heading into the regular season cj we'll start with you
final takeaway of the preseason
i'm actually going to recycle what i said for
kind of ish for week one where just nothing is as it seems
it's like all the fun players all the fun storylines
they're gone you know like
Like, that's the thing.
You'll see, like, all these cool guys that pop up.
Guys, you know, you don't think about, guys you haven't heard of,
or guys that've been on a team for a minute and popped off.
Nope, F you, they're cut.
J.K.
Most notably, one of the biggest stories is what I thought of.
Desmond Watson, defensive tackle from Florida State,
was known for being literally the biggest prospect of all those kids strong,
but he's also, like, 480 or something like that.
I know he lost 50 pounds or something like that because here's the thing doesn't matter how strong you are like when you're that like that big and you're moving that fast and you go to cardiac arrest that's one big lawsuit and you know the bucks play it safe they said all right hey cut down like I saw like I know he is like 50 pounds lighter than when he started camping good for him I hope he keeps going but Tampa cut him and he was one of the most watch UDFAs another one uh you said
Florida State it's uh it was Florida Florida I meant Gators yeah I just that just came to
mind just whatever I did not support the state no I'm sorry oh god I'm no longer allowed I'm no longer
allowed of the panhandle of Florida oh Lord mercy but uh but no but yeah he's he's out another thing
the Tennessee Titans just cut Xavier Restrepo and drafted free agent out of Miami who was cam ward's
go-to guy and they're friends off the field as like oh hey he could be one of the steals because
here's the thing he was supposed to go like second third round then he got hurt ran the 40 at his
pro day while he was hurt ended up running like an absurdly long 40 like what was it like seven
seconds or something like that and that obliterated his draft stock he's a udFA and he's like oh hey you know
he signed with the titans keying him and cam ward
reunion nope so yeah just like
i guess it's like what's happening all the fun narratives man
all the fun stuff all the quirky side shows or whatever they're gone that's the thing
that's how you know football season is here hell yeah i like it talk what does you
i don't know is it me or is this been one of the most talked about preseasons ever
we usually don't talk about preseason as much as we have this year i don't know if it's because
is Shador Sanders. I don't know if we have a mix of, like, ridiculous storylines when it
comes to the preseason. I just think overall for this season, I just thought this was one of
the more entertaining preseasones that we've ever had. Me personally, as far as a Ravens fan,
I enjoyed some of the people that we got, especially Kenyon Martin. Number 38, he's, I hope he
makes my team. I know you guys have been talking about
ethnicism. And so, and
my, the one storyline that
I've been paying attention to outside of the Ravens has
been Shador Sanders. So all in all, when
looking about the league and everything that's going on, I've been
fairly entertained so far. So that's my takeaway
this season. I like it. I like it.
My takeaway is kind of just
a little bit of kind of piggybacking off at
CJ, I guess, is, you know, like,
This is now the indication that, you know, first game of the seasons next Thursday, like football is here.
Like today's cut day.
So we're starting to see more and more players, not make rosters and whatnot, like Shiloh Sanders, the brother of Shadur Sanders, just got cut.
Here's guys like that.
Starting to see that a little bit.
He was cut a day or two prior, but still now we're starting to see more and more.
that start to see how teams are finally kind of merging together how they're being formed
and you know now we can start to have some final opinions about some teams going into
this season and the Browns have also dwindled their quarterback room which good for them
but we'll talk about that a little bit more Kenny Picky got traded to the Raiders if you
didn't see that already but that's what I'm referring to but
All right. Nice.
We're going to take a little break.
When we come back, we'll talk the Terry McLauran contract extension.
Three years, $96 million for the commanders.
This is the Lombruski podcast.
It may not have always showed it in the stat sheet,
but you can see him making throws when he needs to make the throws.
Back-to-back games where he has three touchdowns.
Someone's got to get that six or seven spot.
He's an elite wide receiver as a rookie.
Truly a lose-lose scenario for both sides.
Welcome back to the Fullmerzky podcast by Power 818 Radio and Secret Weapon Consulting.
He's C.J. He's talk. I'm Chris. Terry McLaren signs a three-year, $96 million extension yesterday with the commanders.
What did we say, C.J.? Or what did you say?
Nothing ever happened.
oh my god i called it we could have had something different we could have had a storyline we could
have had real change we looked at the menu of possibilities and we ordered the nothing burger
without the happening sauce oh my god i called it here's the crazy part i'm a pass fan i live in
rhode island this is patriots nation and everyone their mother was like oh my god we're gonna get
Terry McLaurin, and I sat there and said, nah, no, he's going to sign an extension because trade
requests, holdouts, hold ins, they mean nothing. They literally mean a grand total of nothing.
Jack, dittling, and squat. Look at the episode name, the expected outcome. This was the expected
outcome. We all knew, or at least I knew he was going to stay. And sure enough, he did. Like, look,
my fellow Pat's fans or any other team
that wanted a wide receiver. It's fun
to hope, like, Tuck, I know you probably wanted
Scary Terry. But
oh, well, I'll be damned.
But still,
you know, I know Pittsburgh was eyeing
him to, Denver was thinking about it,
but it wasn't going to
happen, and
now I'm justified in this.
These holdouts mean nothing, but all
jokes aside, good for Terry, though.
I'm glad he got it, and this
was actually a really important test for
Washington's new ownership because we all know Dan Snyder would have handled this horribly, right?
We all know that Snyder just would have said, no, I'm going to trade you and try to lowball you
because I'm Dan Snyder and I'm incompetent.
But, hey, good on the Washington ownership.
The culture change is real.
That's all.
Good for Terry.
But hey, nothing happened again.
Yeah, for real.
I mean, this is basically what Terry was looking for, as well.
well it's so it's uh also getting a 30 million dollar signing bonus uh amongst all of this as well
so job well done i would say uh three year six six mill uh just getting the signing bonus out of
there but this is a guy that uh was coming off his second pro bowl appearance surpassed
a thousand yards for five consecutive seasons mind you also like in the shit of washington
uh during those years as well uh during like the end days of dan snider so this is a guy that
you had to treat right and they did so uh tuck your thoughts first and foremost congratulations to
terry mcloin mclawin i'm always appreciative of a guy getting his money and i think he's deserved
considering the horrible situation that he's been in wisconsin for all these years except for last
year. So I'm happy for him to finally get paid what he's due. My thing is this. I know everyone's
happy for Terry McLaurin and this, that, and the third. My only thing is, how bad has Debo
Samuels been doing for him to get this contract extension? No one's really been talking about Devo
Samuels, and that's kind of concerning, considering he's supposed to be like either the number one
or the number two, depending on how you look at McLaren. And so when I look at this, and I'm hearing
reports of how big he is and not as fast as it used to. I'm kind of concerned. Hopefully,
that's just me. Hopefully, Debo is Debo and he'll be just fine, but I'm happy he got this money,
but I wasn't expecting him to get this contract, and I wasn't expecting Washington to bend over
to give it to him. So when I see this contract, I'm like, is Debo doing all right? That's what I took
away when I saw this.
Yeah, you know, average annual salary of 32 mill.
Like this is, so this is kind of what Debo is kind of asking for, too, was 32 mil.
And Washington wasn't going higher than 30.
So it is a little interesting that now they're like, all right, fine, we'll give you the 32 per year A.A.V.
So maybe you do have a point there, tuck with the Debo point.
Yeah.
So I just hope that Terry McLaurin is still Terry McLaurin of old and he'll be.
a valuable weapon for
Jaden Daniels because he'll need to be
in order for Washington to go far this year.
Yeah, especially considering
Terry's turning 30 within the next couple weeks.
Yeah.
Yeah.
C.J., you look like you want to
pop in on that.
No, not really.
Oh, okay. Word.
We'll go to the next pay raise that, or new
contract, I guess.
Technically, a contract restructuring.
I don't know. It's just a pay raise.
for trey hendricksson uh gets 14 million dollar pay raise for just this season and he's still
set to be a free agent and after this season in 2026 so i mean good on the bangles to
pay him his money but what did you really solve here all right well first things first
congratulations to trey hendrickson those cheap bastards
paid you. I'm so happy you finally got the money you deserved and you're at least one of the
top paid edge rushes right now. Does this solve this for the long term? No, but it handles it
in the shirt term at least. I think by the end of this year, they should release him because
if they're not going to give him a long contract extension now, they're probably not going
to give it to him. And I see no reason for them to franchise tag him because he's, what, 31?
Yeah, it could still find us to go.
Yeah, it'll be 31 at the end of the season.
Yeah, but I still think he's still got some juice.
He may not be the top edge pressure,
but I certainly think he'll be a valuable option on the market.
But the issue, once again, is will they pay him?
I don't think they will.
I think he'll be on another team next year.
I think this is a last ride type of situation.
I'm not sure how good they'll be next year.
I think they'll be edge of playoffs or just barely squeaking in because I don't think they're winning the North.
I think it's either the Ravens or, ironically enough, the Steelers.
It's always how it goes.
But I think the Cincinnati Bengals would be good enough to be in a lot of games.
I just think the defense will fail them when they need them the most because that defense is something else, especially on the back end.
I think the Trey Hendrick situation has been solved, at least to a short term.
And then the long term is he's not going to be there next year.
So I think that's what it is.
I think that's fine.
And congrats to Trey Hingston.
The cheap owners finally paid you what you're owed.
But that's all you're getting.
CJ?
This is even more nothing than nothing happening.
Oh, you roll your eyes tough.
I wouldn't say it's nothing.
It is something.
It's still going to be a creation at the end of this year.
This isn't even an extension.
This is just a pay raise.
This is basically just like the Bengals had a random $14 million
like in their back pocket and they're like,
here's shut up.
Here's money now go away.
I mean, look, the battle's over, but oh boy, oh boy, oh boy,
the war is beginning.
Do you know what this is?
this is literally just kicking the can down the road.
And I'm going to tell you exactly what's going to happen come the off season.
We're going to get all the headlines.
Oh, NFL, free agency frenzy, Trey Hendrickson's on the market,
and then he's going to get tagged.
This is the only way this ends.
He's going to get tagged again because the NFL franchise tag rules.
Look, I say it every year.
They're ridiculous.
We'll say that for a few months.
But it's the fact that you could just keep tagging them.
I mean, you can do it twice, I think.
maybe more, I don't know, but, and, you know, you can just keep going it after the original
rookie deals up, even though he's not the guy a drafter, you can keep tagging him, but that's
literally what's going to happen. He's going to get tagged. Like, this is far from over.
We're still going to be talking about the same headline so far in advance. But look,
don't get me wrong. I'm happy he's going to be making 30 mil this year. Maybe the Bengals
defense can at least have one good person on it, but it just,
this literally is going to change nothing.
I mean,
the Bengals defense is still bad, right?
Yeah, I'm going to get pressure now.
Yeah, I mean, for the Bengals,
your defense is one guy.
If Hendrickson goes down,
then it's literally over.
It's never going to be more over than it would be then.
But like I said,
I'm happy for him,
but the real war is coming this offseason
when he inevitably gets tagged.
And guess what, boys and girls,
we're going to be doing this again i sure as hell hope not not with the 30 euro pass rusher if
they tag him again i the NFL people the NFL needs to step in as like come on guys either
pay him or let him go because this is ridiculous at this point they've been kicking the can for
three to four years now he's asked to be paid for the last two years and they still haven't
done anything about it i wish they would pay him not just be i wish i wish i
they will pay him because he's deserving of the money, not because he's a Cincinnati
Bengals, but my God, but he's deserving of the money. But at the same token, it's like
Cincinnati never pays their people on time unless it's Jamar Chase or Joe Burrow. But for some
reason, to me, I just don't think they'll keep him past 32. Once he hits 32, they'll have to get
rid of him because I don't think they'll pay top of the line for him anymore. I think they'll
just do it for this year because they have no choice. They kind of put
themselves in this position.
Yeah, and you could also bear the question, too, that, you know, now that this has happened,
you've now put more pressure on the team to go and win a ring because now you've,
you've thrown the bag at your star guys, your two-star receivers, your big-time quarterback,
and your league sack leader last season.
Like, you've put your eggs in a basket for this one season now.
so you've kind of with i feel like with this pay raise you've kind of put your cards on the table
and said all right no more moves let's see what happens they did not throw the bag at tray
hendixson they dragged the bag over there big you know what i mean like it like 30 30 mil for
one season is a pretty good pay grade he should be getting more yeah but they don't have
any choice he should be getting more but he's taking the discount for the
the team which is fine but he's been doing that for a while now i don't understand why you're
not asking jemar chase or joe burrow to do this but whatever yeah cj anything else on your
end no no that's pretty much it i mean my it's pretty cut and dry on my end nice uh quickly
before we move on speaking of holdens micah parsons
uh really seeming disinterested in the last preseason games or in the last preseason game for
the cowboy is seen lying down on the table eyes closed just carefree in the world as
he deals with his saga with freaking jerry jones and jerry world and i love how all of this
is happening as the uh new dallas cowboy uh netflix documentary is coming out as well it's
really fantastic timing guys
really really fantastic timing
the Jerry Jones
the anti Jerry Jones
propaganda is off the wheel
at this point it is
it is quite something
it's really on brand for them
it really is
and according to Jerry Jones
if he can make his organization
look like a soap opera
he damn well will
which is what he's doing right now
yeah
unfortunately he's a genius when it comes to branding the cowboys but not when it comes to winning right now
for real for real i mean i had this taken um what was it it was like a couple months ago i think
it was after the cowboy or last year probably after the cowboys had last lost their playoff
game and you know this whole thing jerry jones kind of just started with him forcing
Jimmy Johnson out of Dallas in the 90s
and here we are now.
He didn't like how his
head coach
talked back to him.
He said, listen, I'll win without you.
And to be fair, he did win, but it could have been
more. Facts. That is facts.
If he just let Jimmy Johnson just
please, please control my team.
Please.
He can't do that, though.
And by the way, I just want to say this, the Dallas Cowboys have never won a Super Bowl with Jerry Jones as the GM.
All five of their rings came with someone else being the GM.
Ever since he took over, the winning stopped and all their success dried up fast.
And as far as the Michael Parsons thing, you know he's going to get his deal.
He's literally going to get his deal.
Like, that's just how these things work.
it's what jerry does he drags it out he tries to bow browbeat the players trashes them to the media
you know he does a weird good cop bad cop thing like i said he browbeat some trash talks and then
we'll play good cop and say hey let's you and me just have a drink in my office we'll we'll talk
shop you know maybe talk about contract just you know chop it up it's gonna be fine you know and he does
this forever and by the time it drags out, he ends up paying the player, right? And he pays them more
than what they should be getting. It happened with Dak Prescott, who at the time, I think he's
now, or at that time, was probably paid 10 million more than what he should have. C.D. Lamb made
about 5 to 8 million more than he should have. And Michael Partisus probably get paid north of
10 million than what he would have had he just done it.
And I don't understand why he's so keen on pissing off his homegrown talent.
Like, I just, I don't get it.
Like the Cowboys, they always or relatively seem to draft well.
They're good at getting these guys, you know, drafting these guys.
But then they just piss them off.
They don't want to pay them.
Then, you know, Jerry does his whole song and dance, pays them more than what they should.
And this is just what happens with Michael Parsons.
He's not going to get traded.
Jerry has too, I think, has too big of an ego to admit the fee.
Because if you trade Parsons, you're essentially waving the white flag,
unless you could get an absolute, like, King's Ransom for him,
but I don't think's going to happen since they don't have the leverage.
And a small part of me can see this extending into the season.
Maybe he holds out.
You know, Mike is just going to be talking crap on his podcast.
But at the end of the day,
He's going to get paid probably by Jerry, most likely by Jerry,
and more than what it should be had Jerry had his head screwed on, right?
My problem with Jerry is he's not a bad GM in the sense he can't acquire talent.
He can actually find talent, which is very underrated,
his ability to find talent within the draft.
It's just his matter of sustaining that on and off the field.
He cares more about branding than he does winning.
and that gets in the way of what matters most winning.
And then my second thing,
my second thing is when it comes to Michael Parsons,
I think he will get eventually paid,
and I think it will be by Dallas,
because no matter what trade anyone will give them,
it won't be enough to get Micah from them.
Because I think he's too much of a brand name for them to get rid of,
like to be like, here, take him,
unless you give him like a Hershey Walker-sized deal,
and that's not happening anymore.
So as far as I'm concerned, he'll stay at Dallas Cowboys at bare minimum for this season and for times to come because I think he'll be paid around the same as Miles Garrett.
So he's not going anywhere as much as he wants to because they'll just franchise tag him until he signs a contract if it gets to that point.
You know, there is something about that that I do want to bring up.
It's something Adam just said.
And it's something that I was thinking about, but I didn't know how to fit it in.
But one more thing about Jerry's ego.
And, Tuck, you mentioned how he can find them.
But he also kind of needlessly hampers himself.
Have you noticed that for a while now, the Cowboys are one of the least active teams in free agency?
Even when there are stars on the market, they're never really in the mix to go swing a blockbuster trade or pay for a big name.
like all of their names are homegrown however you cannot let your free agency acumen just completely
atrophy in front of you you just can't do that the fact that they are too proud to bring in
outside help is also a reason that you know they've been falling apart early and maybe if you
did you wouldn't have to worry about your only good pass rusher you know possibly holding out
like it only hurts them like everything he does every decision he makes
is literally to their detriment the fact that they're even serviceable is nothing short of a miracle
i feel like at this like at this point who would want to go to dallas because i feel like
everything has pointed to the fact that this is just a toxic culture right now in the
organization and that nobody should want to go coach there or play there
But I think that's a good way to wrap it up on the Cowboys.
We're going to take one last quick break when we come back.
We'll get into the Raiders.
A little bit of an active Monday in Vegas.
Jacoby Myers requests to trade.
They bring back Amari Cooper.
Kenny Pickett's on the team.
What's going on?
This is the Fulmariski podcast.
It may not have always showed it in the staff sheet,
but you can see him making throws when he needs to make the throws,
back-to-back games where he has three touchdowns.
Someone's got to get that six or seven spot.
He's an elite wide receiver as a rookie.
Truly a lose-lose scenario for both sides.
Welcome back to the Fulmourski podcast.
He's C.J. He's tuck.
I'm Chris.
Raiders news.
I mean, which one we want to start with here?
We could start with the dramatic one in Jacoby Myers.
We could talk about Kenny Pickett being brought in to Vegas.
and what's going on with Cleveland.
Talk about Amari Cooper coming back to Vegas
or coming back to the Raiders as well.
It's kind of a weird thing right now,
especially with the combination of everything, right?
Like the Jacobi Myers thing happens,
and then all of a sudden it felt like 10 minutes later,
Marry Cooper signs with the team.
All right.
and even before that you bring in Pete Carroll
you trade for Gino Smith
all right
kind of trying to build this thing back up
but where's it going to lead
now this happens
I feel like it's not much
but in the grand scheme of things
this does seem like
all these are pointing towards
more and more of that
bridge thing that I feel like we've been talking about with the Raiders this
offseason this whole thing that they're doing with Pete Carroll he's goddamn
like over 70 years old Gino Smith doesn't have that much left in the league
or much time left in the league so where does this end up bridging they
what do they end up doing with Kenny Pickett what do they end up doing with Jacoby
Myers Mark Cooper's on the one-year deal now
Where's Vegas going?
Tuck, we'll start with you.
That's a good question.
As far as Vegas is concerned, as far as this, hopefully, and I'm saying this, knowing the situation,
hopefully, Gino Smith is the starter and Kenny Pickett is firmly the backup.
I think they weren't happy with the quarterback deaf, and that's why they got Kenny Pickett.
Otherwise, why the hell would you get Kenny Pickett?
He's not a starting caliber quarterback.
Before you continue, Tuck, I will say that the Raiders right before that trade had said that they're looking for some sort of veteran quarterback or just someone that has more playing experience as their second string behind Gino.
Yeah.
So that makes sense.
I understand that.
So I'm good for Kenny Pickett to find a job because I don't think he was going to stay in Cleveland considering the quarterback situation.
So good job with Kenny Pickett for getting traded to the.
in Las Vegas Raiders.
The Amari Cooper thing was strange to me because I actually thought he was going to retire
because he wasn't on a team up until this point.
So I'm thinking, oh, okay, he's hitting towards retirement.
And then the Raiders get him.
So that was an intriguing prospect to me.
I think it's an upgrade, but not much of an upgrade.
And then there's the Jacoby Myers situation.
I'm not sure what team would take Jacoby Myers right here right now,
considering everyone's kind of locked in for week one.
So maybe after week one and he still wants to be traded,
maybe someone might say, hey,
Jacobi Myers isn't a bad wide receiver three.
Let's see what he's got.
But all in all, this is an interesting prospect for the Raiders,
who could be in contention for the playoffs,
but with all these things, I don't know.
I just don't know.
CJ
First
Kenny Pickett
I mean
yeah obviously
you're going to want
someone even semi-capable
behind him as a veteran
because look
Aiden O'Connell is just not
going to get it done
I'm sorry he's just not
and the thing with Amari Cooper
coming back
along with Kenny Pickett
kind of goes into that
same narrative
you mentioned
wait what
sorry I'm yelling
at me, everyone.
Say that again?
Marry Cooper apparently now has a broken wrist.
Oh, A.
O'Connell.
I thought he was talking about
Amarie Cooper as well.
That is true.
Aidan O'Connell is
with a broken wrist,
which is part
A, Y, picket is there,
but B, I mean,
Ian O'Connell is your backup quarterback.
Like, come on.
You know, it is true.
Oh, my goodness.
Yeah.
that's something, isn't it?
At the end of the day, though,
I just, I don't know, guys.
I don't know.
I know we've talked this to death about the Raiders,
I mean, not necessarily being a contender,
but more just trying to write the ship.
And for what it's worth,
I do still hold this view.
I do.
My problem is that
I mean, how good are they really going to be?
Even by a writing the ship standpoint, I just, God forbid, Gino goes down because, you know, he has a good rapport of P. Carroll, right?
I mean, obviously, like, we all know this.
But, oh, my God, like, one injury and it's all over.
The Raiders are extremely top heavy.
And Jacoby Myers leaving, like, I get this being right, the ship here, but you don't need that.
You really don't want that, like, at all.
I mean, he could be, like, a mid-tier wide receiver, too.
I guess it depends on, like, how much he wants.
I know there's some team sniffing around him, but that, I mean, he's still the second
best pass catcher on your team outside of second-year-man Brock Bowers.
But, I mean, Amari Cooper is pretty much washed.
He hasn't done anything of no in the past two and a half seasons.
and I just outside of pick you which I don't have an opinion on swapping Cooper
I mean swapping Myers for Cooper that's it's tough oh that's that's not a good look
yeah especially when you see how Marry Cooper like never mind Marry Cooper on the Browns
but like then he went to the bills and everyone was like oh my God he's going to go off with
Josh Allen and he he didn't oh by the way this just came out like
11 seconds ago, JPA football.
Adam Schefter, barring something unforeseen, the Raiders do not want to trade Jacoby
Myers. Apparently, they're just like just not going to. They're just going to sit on their
hands. So one team reached out with interest, but one, but, but the Raiders apparently don't
want to eat any of his contract to facilitate a trade.
What's his contract at right now? Now, that's what we should be talking about.
out.
I don't know.
Would you guys watch at Kobe Myers on the Patriots?
No.
So he's going to be a free agent after this season.
His base salary right now is for this season is 10.5 mil.
And his cap hit is 14.9.
Sounds like you guys can afford it.
No, no, they can't afford it.
It's just New England as a very.
very sneakily crowded wide receiver room.
Not the good kind of crowded, like the Packers.
You know, the Packers have that room where, like, anyone can start on any given day.
But the Patriots, just, it's mid.
Like, Diggs obviously are won.
Then there's Kashan Booty, in no particular order, Demario Douglas,
rookie Kyle Williams, Mack Hollins, they just signed, veteran Kendrick Bourne,
and God bless him, Efton Chisholm the third.
Where does my, there's just too many mouths to feed.
Like, why would you add Myers to that, especially when DeMario Douglas has established himself as a reliable piece, not like a showstopper, but a reliable piece of the offense.
Booty had a good year last year, and you have to prioritize developing Kyle Williams so that you can break out of your wide receiver draft slot.
And Diggs is still going to be there.
So Myers just doesn't fit in.
you could trade wide receiver for wide receiver and a pick okay and this is something
i've thought of as well because i figured someone was going to say this let's just say
hypothetically they've given kendrick bore which i feel it would be the most likely or maybe
kisham booty and like one bet one young guy okay but still so so then what then it's
going to be digs then maybe meyers then douglas but then but then you're screwing over the rookie
who, by the way, you need to pan out because, like I said, you have to break the slum.
And I know it's something that they say, oh, the Patriots shouldn't worry too much about it,
but no, you have to get out of that slum.
Like, no ifs ands or buds.
You have to break the curves.
Like, you just, you have to.
Like, Dave, they're stuck in a rut with drafting wider receivers.
You have prioritized Williams development.
So, and you can't just have Myers who is going to be gobbling up, what's his name,
Douglas's targets.
and you sign Mac Hollins to be an outside X.
So Myers' involvement would make Collins obsolete.
And on top of that, to add insult to injury, he's a one-year rental.
If you as a Patriots fan say it's a good idea to bring in Myers,
you probably shouldn't be allowed to vote.
Thankfully, I'm not a Patriots fan because take him.
I just want to see what happens.
His return, the prodigal sum returns to.
well that's kind of that's kind of part of what i was saying before the show too was like i feel
like now we're just too far removed where we are now in a spot where the wide receiver room
is too flooded with either young guys that we need to see how they pan out or just absolute
mid in general um there like we there's just too much going on to want to pursue that i guess
I mean, I would love to have Jacoby Myers on the team.
I would have loved it if the Pats had re-signed them to literally the exact deal that we gave Juju-Smiths Schuster.
I wish we did that, but we didn't because Bill was off his fucking rocker from 22 to 23.
So.
Probably from 2019 through 23, but yeah.
That too, but just those two years really stick out to me as me wanted to gouge my
fucking eyes out but um yeah what it point being made i would love it if jacobi myers was on my
team but now we're too far removed um moving on from that kenny pickett so i'm somewhat segue
to the brown since that kind of deals with that because the browns ended up making two
QB moves and that being trading Kenny Pickett and waving Tyler Snoop Huntley.
So their QB room now is Joe Flacco, who they named as their week one starter,
Dylan Gabriel, and Shitterer Sanders.
That's your three.
I don't really think my opinion changes much at all from the time that Pickett joined the team.
were really when training camp started to this point now
where they have this three QB room set in stone.
Might as well just ride Joe Flacco till the wheels fall out.
I beg your pardon?
What?
Pause.
Pause.
But you know what I mean?
We're just going to go till the wheels fall off.
Fair enough.
The only thing I have to say about the Brown's QB room is,
I didn't realize this, but at one point they had six people,
in the quarterback room
because of Sean Watson as well
and they have to keep four of them
because Deshawn Watson is still in that room
and they can't really get rid of him until next season.
That is rough.
That is really rough.
And you blame no one except Jimmy Hasolm.
That is his fault.
Yep.
C.J.
Thoughts on Brown's QB room
at what we're,
looking at here.
In the words of Chase Claypool,
even though he's a bum,
the Browns is the Browns.
Nameless great faces.
Literally.
That's it.
Like, I mean,
you know,
unflacco,
little Dylan Gabriel and Shador Sanders.
Yeah.
Cleveland,
you shouldn't have screwed over Baker Mayfield.
I don't even feel bad for you.
I mean,
remember the Browns were literally the lovable losers.
And now every bit of,
of hate they get is earned 10 times over.
Yeah.
Even this to yourself, Cleveland, that is all.
Facts.
It's going to be interesting to see how this ends up playing out.
The Shadur Sanders hype has been quite the eye-catching, to say the least, from the media.
You know, even from the littlest bit from, like, asking Shadur Sanders if he thinks he should make the team and him answer.
answering yes what what the fuck else do you expect them to ask shit i mean um and of course
dylan gabriel taking the not the shot not so shot at shitter sanders uh but right now
they have dylan according to the depth chart at least uh throughout the entirety of training
camp dylan gabriel's been above shuders sanders this entire time um so i'm interested to see
they end up playing around with this
at least for this year
and maybe next year
if Shitter Sanders
is going to be the guy
or maybe it's going to be Dylan Gabriel.
Maybe it's nobody.
Maybe it's nobody.
There's your plot twist. It's nobody.
Because everyone sucks.
The funny thing about this whole situation
is the Browns just wanted
an adult at quarterback.
They got it.
adult error. They got an
unk and two
kids.
Yeah. Speaking of which
speaking of
dysfunctional quarterback rooms, have we
gotten word on the Saints?
No, they both
look ass.
They both look ass.
It's over. I mean, forget
Cleveland. It's even
more over New Orleans.
Yeah. I
just a whole bunch. It's not even
mid down in New Orleans. It's just
misery. It's trash.
It's so
bad that they still haven't
announced their QB1 and they're probably
going to go up until like
basically as late as you possibly can. I wouldn't be surprised that they didn't
name QB1 until Saturday or Sunday.
They should have just gave it and they should
have just drafted Shador Sanders because Tyler
Shuck looks awful and it's not
he said I guess he did
better against them. I want to say the charges
but my lord. No.
know just let's move on by the way i i know this is like really late but when i mentioned
zavier restrepe i want to correct myself he ran a four eight for some reason i said seven
second i meant to say a four seven but no he ran a four eight that's actually i accidentally said
seven and everyone at home was like wait he ran what zavier if you watch us i'm so sorry man
