On today's episode of the Fumble Ruski podcast, Colts TM, Chris Ballard fired after their horrendous loss to the then-winless Titans.
More details have come out about the Jill and Hertz blood clot.
More information that has come out on Monday.
Packers getting a massive win on Sunday night football over the Cowboys.
And week six was full of upsets and a lot of other storylines.
So we're going to lump up all together.
It's one segment.
This is the Fumble Risky podcast.
It may not have always showed it in the staff sheet,
but you can see him making throws when he needs to make the throws.
Back-to-back games where he has three touchdowns.
Someone's got to get that six or seven spot.
He's an elite wide receiver as a rookie.
Truly a lose-lose scenario for both sides.
Welcome to the Fubble Rewski podcast by SecretWipping,
or powered by SecretWepant Consulting.
This isn't by secret open consulting.
It's by me, Chris.
Justin Tucker, C.J. Madderos.
Yeah, wild weekends.
I mean, you could say wild weekend in the NFL.
You could just say wild weekend for football in general,
because holy shit.
The upsets this week were unreal.
I'm just NFL, college football.
How many top 25 teams lost this week?
Two damn many.
Yes.
Yes.
Including Georgia.
the number one team in the country.
Bama lost to Tennessee.
Notre Dame laws.
No, yeah.
Well, Texas.
Technically, Notre Dame should add another second on the clock, but
fuck it.
We don't allow that shit anymore.
But, yeah, now you're right.
And for college, I think I read somewhere,
this is the first time, I think, ever,
that a, that the number one seed has lost,
their number one ranked team, excuse me, has lost to an unranked school in back-to-back weeks.
Yes.
That is just.
Yeah, because first, you know, Texas, they're lost to Oklahoma and Georgia just lost to Auburn.
I didn't realize Texas was the number one team of the country.
Yeah, they were.
They were.
Because they beat Ohio State.
Yeah, I was about to say it's because of that.
But these games have ever seen.
Yeah, sure.
Yeah.
Well, like, well, we're talking about upsets.
I was going to start with Chris Ballard getting fired, but since we're on upsets,
let's just talk about upsets and some of the other stupid shit that happened this week.
Let's just start with, well, we already talked about Thursday night game,
which was Denver beating Seattle in overtime.
But Houston, massive win against the Jaguars, 34, 31, in London,
back-to-back weeks in London where it ends on a game-winning field goal.
And this was actually like one of the,
Probably the best London game we've seen in God knows how many years in terms of just this was actually a high scoring game for once.
I feel like every time there's a London game, if it's a close game, then neither team is cracking 20 points.
And other than that, it's a shit show.
But hey, Houston, I mean, CJ Stroud actually looked good for once in his life.
The Texans, the issue is that the defense still sucks.
that's the issue.
Like the defense still is just giving up 30 every single week.
It's unfortunate.
But thoughts from you guys.
As far as the lending game is concerned, good for Houston.
This is their second one.
Two and four.
Yeah, they're two and four now.
They've won two in a row, I believe.
They're finally getting back to what we think they are.
CJ Straub is looking better, though he did throw that.
bad interception.
But it's, they're starting to get back on the right footing.
They beat a tremendous team in Jacksonville.
They're on their way to getting back, getting back to what we believe is to be a position
in the playoffs.
But the problem is the AFC is like particularly tough this year because everyone in the
playoff picture right now has an above 500 record.
and they have a long hill to climb right now.
They're two and four, but I'm not sure that they'll put themselves in positions to make the playoffs.
If they can somehow run the table, then I can see it, but you can't keep asking that of your team year in and year out.
I think this might be the year where they missed the playoffs, but they got to win.
The first one's always the hardest, and now is time to build on that and see where they go from there.
I like the addition of Marvin Harrison, Jr.
Three catches on four targets.
Yep.
And was moving the chains.
It's better than what he was getting.
Well, I'll take it.
CJ?
Yeah.
So first and foremost, I feel like some people were expecting fireworks from old Maserati
Marves.
He's known out of the gate.
And no, I feel like those people are stupid.
like very rarely does that happen usually takes a bit for him to you know to get used to a new team
able to situate himself so i don't think but he did look good or at least better than he looked
in the Arizona which you know it's not saying a lot but you know it's a bar nonetheless and uh that
said cj stroud has dare i say actually kind of recapture that magic he had in his
rookie year because statistically
he's been pretty damn good
and he's also passing the eye test
which some people disagree
but it's equally as
important
and honestly
there's a lot to like for Houston
but tuck you said it best
the elephant in the room is that
the slow start
is going to be a lot to overcome
it's
going to be a really
and I mean really
tough
thing to actually
get past
and you know
if they run the table
that's one thing
and then hey we're all wrong
but
what are the odds
that actually
happens you know
I mean even with the
jags in your division
I mean thankfully
the Colts the Titans
aren't that good
but even still
like
that's going to be a tall order
and
uh
I mean, if you're a Texans fan, be happy with the win.
But if I were a Texan fan, in the back of my mind, like, the defense terrifies me.
And it's weird how their offense and their defense is doing the NFL equivalent of a freaky Friday,
where instead of the defense continually bailing out the offense,
the offense is looking like an explosive unit, and the defense couldn't stop a light breeze.
and I don't know what it is.
I mean, even with D'Amico Ryan's wrestling back play-calling duties,
it's just not moving the needle.
And it doesn't seem to be the play calling as bad,
you know, because they're adjusting the situations,
and I think most of the time making the right call.
And it's definitely not for a lack of talent, that much we know.
So what is it?
I genuinely don't know.
I actually, like, I know that's not real sharp analysis, but I genuinely don't know what the problem is.
But hey, C.J. Stroud is good.
You know, he's betting on himself.
And, you know, it looks like it's working.
I can't, hey, I really can't.
And for a Jags perspective, well, I feel like more people need to talk about Travis Hunter.
That man is looking like a top 10 corner in the league.
his gadget plays are deadly on offense. In fact, I think he's the first player since 2002 to record a touchdown and an interception in the same game.
Separately, that is. You know, pick sixes obviously don't count in that metric.
But for the Jags.
Right, CJ, real quick. C.J. real quick. Can I take a guess on who that other person is?
Sure. I don't know who it is, but whatever. I was going to say Troy Brown.
Yeah, that's who I thought I just didn't look.
I mean, I wouldn't be shocked for it was.
You keep going.
I'll look.
Thank you, Betty.
So if you're the Jags, I do think this was a necessary loss.
You know, you've been cruising for a bit.
But sometimes these teams, when they go on their little hot streaks, call me crazy, but they forget how to lose.
And they need, I don't know what I said they need it needed.
but every team needs a little bit of adversity.
Like, this is a tough divisional matchup.
Don't freak out.
You'll be fine.
Overall, just a good game, like Chris said,
weird that, like, a London game
actually produce offensive fireworks.
Usually that's not the case.
You could make the case that it's the best London game of all time.
Yeah.
The last person to record an interception at Tum.
touchdown catching in the same game.
Brian Dawkins, September 29th, 2002.
Huh.
Yeah.
Which is like not who I was expecting at all.
Not the last person I would expect,
but I was very much not expecting that.
Yeah.
I do get why you said Troy Brown, though.
That was a great guess.
Loki, I could see J.J. Wad doing it in 2014.
If you said that, that'd probably be the closest I could think of.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I'd say Troy Brown and JJ Watt are probably two of the best guesses.
Maybe Julian Edelman too.
But now I'm just showing off my fandom of like, of knowing wide receivers that played on the pads that also had to play corner because the secondary for somehow the secondary for those teams got so bad that they absolutely had to.
Injuries, but yeah.
Yeah.
Wait, did I say something else?
You said bad.
Oh, well.
Well, I'm qualifying for those, you know, I'm, you know, I'm, in my mind.
I'm taking a note for those who don't know ball.
In my mind, I said injuries for something.
But my mind did not go to my mouth.
Fascinating.
Very.
All right.
Let's go to the next upset.
Do you really want to talk about the Titans and the Col?
Well, it's going to lead into Chris Ballard, but that wasn't the upset I was going to go to.
Which one are you going to go to?
You know which one I'm going to, Doug.
The Browns winning 13 to 10 against the Baltimore Ravens.
This is the first time, get this, first time since week 10 of 2014 that the Browns are first place in the AFC North.
Fuck.
The AFC North, Jess.
Why this year the Browns decided to be good when all the signals pointed bad, every single one of them pointed bad.
And yet somehow, some way they're four and two.
That defense is better than what we expected it to be.
Jarrett versus Mason.
Mason Graham didn't even play yesterday and that team was still good.
Malikov was given us hell all damn day.
My offense couldn't get anything going outside of the first two drives where they scored the 10 points.
and didn't get much going outside of that the rest of the game.
Derek Henry had like 30-something yards, the first two drives.
He had 27 the rest of the game.
I know we lost Rashad Bateman for the second half of the game,
but still, we had Zayflowers, and somehow, some way,
couldn't get him the ball consistently.
I don't know how, but we couldn't get him the ball.
Jacoby Lane had four catches, 40-something yards.
Still didn't get him the ball enough.
Don't know how that happens.
Tyler Henley looked indecisive some of the time,
felt under pressure most of the time,
and just wasn't enough.
And our defense played well enough to win that game,
but unfortunately, whoever turns the ball over late,
usually loses the game.
And unfortunately, Derek Henry had a fumble.
They recovered, and I believe scored a touchdown.
Damn it!
But the Browns are a good, competent team this year.
However, I do not trust their offense to do anything.
Their defense is good enough to keep them in games,
but whether or not they'll win those games is totally dependent on the offense to do enough to win.
Deshawn Watson did enough to be a competent game managing quarterback,
but at the same time, I was not afraid of him at all.
Good Lord, I just wish my offense played better.
I know what happened.
We didn't have Lamar Jackson.
Because if we had Lamar Jackson, we would be five and one right now.
If I had Cam Jorgans, we might be five and one right now.
But unfortunately, injuries are always a problem with this damn team.
And it's just something I have to accept.
Long story short, Browns for the first time in over a decade are number one in the north.
And I have to deal with that.
That, ugh.
Hmm.
That's just, that's impossible.
That should be impossible.
Oh, and my kicker missed the field goal.
I forgot about that.
That's at the bottom of the list of things that went terribly wrong for you yesterday, though.
The funny thing is, nothing went terribly wrong.
It's just, we suck offensively right now.
We just couldn't get anything going in the second half,
And that was just unfortunate.
And the Browns, they wouldn't get much, but they kept progressing and progressing and progressing.
Until the dam eventually broke on defense where we just gave up that big play to Jerry Judy.
I was like, the game is fucking over.
Just a bad game all around.
I think we're on to Cincinnati next.
On Cincinnati, baby.
He said the thing.
We're on to Cincinnati.
Yeah, we're on to Cincinnati.
Yeah.
Literally, we're facing Cincinnati next.
Lamar better be playing.
I hope he's 100%.
Pat's fans now.
We're on to Cincinnati.
We're on to Cincinnati.
CJ.
Well, as you know, ladies and gentlemen,
Lamar Jackson is dealing with his yearly injury.
This year, for once, it came early in the season instead of late.
So, I mean, count your blessings, question mark, Ravens fans,
you know that it's not when you're trying to make a playoff push.
but oh my god i remember i checked in the game at half time you know ravens are up 10 nothing i'm like
i'm sure i said to myself and unironically i'm like i'm sure tucks not thrilled but but hey you know
they're winning you know it's uh the browns do have a good defense so you know a fc north
football makes sense and i never saw what
happened until I checked like the score and I'm like what the hell just happened and you know I saw
the recap I started reading about what happened and I said oh Tyler Huntley is not in his
pro bowl form it would seem he is not and yeah that I saw the Derek Henry fumble and just
Tyler Huntley looking to put it charitably lost in the pocket
I just, I really didn't know, like really, I don't know what to think.
I don't.
I mean, I'm sorry, you guys can call it slander, you can call it hate, you can call it what
you want, but once more, we must slap the injury prone label on Lamar.
And here's the thing.
Obviously, if you have an elite, like, corner.
or we edge rusher,
O-Lyman, like whatever,
or wide receiver.
It'll suck if they're injury prone,
but you can make do for a few weeks.
But I'm sorry,
if you have a quarterback who is injury prone
and he cannot play at least 16 to 15 games a year,
and he's missing north of five or six,
you are not going to win.
And you guys know, I like Lamar Jackson.
I'm a fan.
Like, I got nothing against him personally.
But it's getting to a point, I think, where if you're a Ravens fan, you got to ask yourself,
is he ever going to stay healthy?
You know, he has fooled.
I'll give him credit.
He had a spool for two seasons.
Or it's like, oh, he finally shook off the injury bug.
And that's before the injury bug said, no, no, he didn't.
And then he started getting hurt once more.
And honestly, I don't know, like wrap up at Bubble Raptor in the offseason.
That's really the only solution I got.
Like just you have to do everything to make sure he doesn't do that.
Like, I don't know, get, you know, give the offensive line cybernetic implants or whatever,
you know, to make sure that no one gets by them.
I have, I don't know.
Like you cannot, in this age of the NFL, you absolutely.
cannot get away with having a quarterback who is injury prone.
Because with the state of backup quarterbacks these days,
like if you're starting quarterback misses five games,
then,
honest to God,
you could chalk that up,
you can chalk that to five losses then and there.
I mean,
maybe you'll win one or two if you're lucky,
but you're probably going to have a negative record without them.
And I just,
no offense,
tuck.
I'm genuinely getting tired.
Not not you specifically, but of people saying, yeah, well, if Lamar was healthy,
you know what that's starting to sound like?
It starts to sound like, well, if Justin Herbert had a good line,
you know, like, I'm just, I'm genuinely, sincerely getting tired of all this if talk.
I really am.
And like I said, that's not a Lamar thing.
He can't help it.
But it's starting to make me think, like maybe I'm not going to say anything super drastic,
but if he's missing like five to six games a year, then I'm not going to say it,
but I think you can inferring you should move on.
No.
No, I'm not saying move on, but honestly,
I don't know.
Like, don't move on.
Like, he's too good.
But, like, I don't know what it's going to take for him to stay healthy.
Like, if your entire season is like, oh, I hope he stays healthy, then that's kind of iffy.
I mean, tuck, you're an AFC North fan.
Ask the Bengals how that works out for them.
I mean, Burrow's staying healthy for now, but it's a long season.
I don't even think it's like a Joe Burrow healthy.
I think their main thing was defense.
They were god awful on defense.
Yeah, but Burrow kept getting hurt.
what does he have like three season-ending injuries already in his career?
Yeah, something like that.
So like, and that's not including when he gets banged up and has to miss four to five games.
So I'm just saying.
I'm not saying you have to move on.
Like obviously don't because he,
Lamar Jackson is at worst, an absolute worst, a top five quarterback.
But something's got to.
be done. Maybe get a new like strength conditioning coach, maybe like hire someone from the
outside to just, I don't know, work with him privately on this. But the fact that I can set my watch
to him getting hurt every year is just, you're not going to win with that. You're just not.
I just think it's bad luck with him. And I hope it's not five games. Hopefully he's back next week.
I thought he was, he had a realistic chance to play this week. But
Then Friday they shut him down.
But hopefully he's had enough time to rest and actually get back going against Cincinnati
because I don't think we'll win without him.
We were able to get past Atlanta.
We couldn't get past Cleveland.
Cincinnati's defense has gotten better over the year.
I don't think we can just rely upon Derek Kimmery and get away with it.
We need better offense from Tyler Huntley.
And I mean, from the offense.
And I think Lamar Jackson obviously is the upgrade.
But I don't think.
think he's that injury prone yet he's getting there i'm aware of it but i think the ankle thing
was just unfortunate right before half time that's what killed him this year he got rolled up on by
tennessee titans player i believe it was jeremiah uh germia johnson over from the jets but
that was just bad luck i think that's just it's with lamar he doesn't take like big hits he's always been
good about that, but little things like that will happen where it's like, ah, he's out. And that's
unfortunate. So as much as I want to be like, ah, he's injury prone, this and that, I think it's
just bad luck. And hopefully he can bounce back. And hopefully the damn ravens can bounce back
after this loss. The first time since 2004, the Browns are leading in the AFC North.
not the Steelers, not the Ravens, not the Bengals, Cleveland.
This is for you.
Look, Tucker, I guess on the bright side of this, you could say, you know what?
Could have been a lot worse?
Could it went 0 and 2 during this two game stretch?
But instead, you're 1-1.
I mean, granted, you could have also been 2 now, but.
We could have been too.
Stop, just stop.
All right, guys.
This is time for me to go.
Perfect timing.
Yep.
I'll see you guys after the Monday night game.
Sounds good.
See.
In terms of other upsets, I guess we can move on.
I'll save the Colts and Titans for last since we'll just move that into
maneuver that into Chris Ballard.
But Rams, losing 18 to 7.
16 against the Cardinals on a last second field goal.
Unfortunately, the play that kind of defined this game was the unnecessary roughness call at the end that put the Cardinals in field goal range.
But, I mean, the Rams should also be putting up more than 16 points on the Cardinals at the other day.
So, yeah.
I mean, what a turn of events for the Rams this year, huh?
They go from being the preseason Super Bowl favorites,
adding basically what, like keeping everybody while also adding Trent McDuffie,
adding Miles Garrett and getting Aaron Donald out of retirement.
And now they're two and four and just lost to the car,
the Jacoby Brissette-led Cardinals.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think it's already would have been hard for them to win the division to begin with because of how good the Niners have come out.
As 5 and 0, obviously, we're recording this well before the Monday night game right now.
And we'll give our recap of the Monday night game when we come back or later at the end of the episode.
But with how good the Niners have been looking,
especially with themselves having beat up bodies.
And the Niners had a much worse offseason than the Rams did.
And I'm talking just off the field bullshit.
You know, you have the owner getting caught at a trailer park doing illegal adult things.
You also got Kyle Shanahan getting into a life-threatening car crash where he's not around.
the team facility, basically the entire time for meaningful install periods and getting the groundwork for this season ready to go.
And they're five and out.
Complete.
Like, if you ask me where the Niners would be, I would say they would be at worse, like where the Rams are now.
But they're not.
They're 5 and 0 and the Rams are 2 and 4.
Yeah.
I'm going to be frank here.
I know a lot of people are going to say, oh, it's fine.
They're just, it's a slow start.
They'll figure it out.
I'm sorry.
It's time to panic.
It's 26.
Yeah, exactly.
But I'm tired of seeing the Rams fans.
They're still disgustingly confident.
Oh, it'll be fine.
Oh, and if we get to the wild card, we're going to be dangerous.
We're going to like, no, I'm sorry.
My message to them is simple.
Panic.
You are not panicking enough.
No one is in my eyes concerned enough about this Rams team.
The defense, it's been horrible.
And don't give me this, but Miles Garrett is hurt.
Cry me a river.
And whenever they bring up Miles Garrett's injury and how much it's impacting them, I can defeat that with three words.
I don't care.
I'm sorry, I don't care.
I genuinely don't think it's a big deal.
You know why?
Because your defense was just fine last season without him.
He played one game.
He played one game so far.
And I genuinely don't think it will cause your defense to collapse that hard concerning the fact you've only ever had him for one game.
Like that, any argument to the contrary does not make sense.
Second of all, what the hell is going on with Matthew Stafford?
Well, like, don't get me wrong.
His numbers are still good.
But once again, especially the quarterbacks, it's all about the eye test.
He just looks uncomfortable.
I mean, Chris, I don't know if you noticed that, but nothing about what he does.
Like even when he like drops back to pass, everything looks so forced.
Like he's just lumbering around the field.
Like it looks like he's like putting his entire body behind every throw just to get the ball to go a respectable distance.
You know, he he only has, I think, six interceptions on the year, which through six weeks is not ideal.
But honest to God, he should probably have some.
somewhere between nine and ten, because he is hitting defenders right in the hands,
and they're dropping the interceptions.
And when you have Devante Adams and Pooka and a two-headed monster of Kairn Williams and
Blake Corum, there's no reason to be struggling as much as you are.
And I swear to God, I hate to keep harping on this.
But if they bring up the goddamn Miles Garrett injury one more time, like, I'm going to
punch someone.
I am. I'm sorry. Like I said, I don't care. I just don't care. I don't think it. I generally don't think it's that big a deal because like I said, your defense is fine without it. And also, if you're going to bitch about injuries, yeah, you do realize you share a division with the 49ers, right? And right now they're 5 and 0. Tonight they could be 5 and 1. They could be 6 and 0. They could be 5.0 and 1. But no matter what happens, they'll still be better than you. And like half their team is,
her and the Niners are at a point where they literally have to leave severely injured players
on the active roster because they do not have enough return spots on IR.
Like there's only eight.
And I think they've got like what, 16 players on IR.
I mean, some are season ending, but most aren't and they'll be back at a later date.
So once again, if you're the Rams, I would highly encourage you to just figure it out.
because you don't really want this team to be like,
remember the Philadelphia Eagles dream team?
And they ended up going 8 and 8 or whatever it was called.
Yeah.
That's what we're looking at here.
Like, imagine going from a Super Bowl favor.
Some people saying they wouldn't lose a game this season
to being 2 and 4 last in the division and losing to the Cardinals.
And by the way, Rams fans,
I don't want to hear about that roughing the past that up.
a roughness call. You weren't winning anyway.
Yeah. I mean, it was a very tickey-tacky call.
No, I understand. I honestly, I don't think they should have made that call, but I don't think
but the Rams were not going to win that game anyway. No. No.
Yeah. I will give Stafford some sort of credit, I guess.
Like, he hasn't thrown interception the last two games, five touchdowns, no interceptions.
The completion percentage is fairly high. Seventy-4.1%.
and their overtime loss of the bills and 75.8% this past week.
But, I mean, he's starting to look like a 38, he's starting to look like a 38-year-old quarterback.
That's kind of just a long and the short of it.
Yeah, so that was all the regular upsets.
So Colts lost 26 to 22 the Titans.
Titans get their first win.
And as a result, Chris Ballard fired from the Colts, no longer the GM, citing a necessary change.
Ballard is 10th season leading the Colts fired Monday morning.
And I think the real cherry on the cake or cherry on top here is that.
Colts blew a 13-point lead at halftime.
Assistant GM Ed Dodds will oversee the personnel department for the remainder of the season.
Meanwhile, Shane Stike and his coaching staff will report to ownership.
That's interesting.
Ballard was already on the final year of his contract anyways,
but this has kind of been a very ongoing thing of like,
how the hell does this guy still have a job?
Like how?
It doesn't make sense.
you could say that them giving the two-year deal to Daniel Jones was and then his start is really what broke the camel's back.
But like I probably would have done the same thing in terms of Daniel Jones,
if I was in Ballard's position, to be honest, because Wells were you going to do a quarterback?
Shit, I mean, there's a chance that you go 0 and 6 if you don't have Daniel Jones in.
but it's just the culmination of how shit that this has been for 10 years.
And finally, finally they did something about it.
Yeah.
Look, Chris, I'm not going to hold back here.
I don't know why it took this long to get rid of Chris Ballard.
People were calling for his head like three years ago.
Yeah.
And probably even more before that.
he the Colts have been aggressively mediocre with him and honestly, you know, they had their one little
miracle run with Andrew Luck's last good season, right? Then when he retired, it was all downhill
from there. They refused to get off a QB carousel. And the one time they do, they say, hey, let's
draft Anthony Richardson. We're literally every single analyst say,
said, no, horrible idea.
They literally said he's not ready.
He should not be a top 10 pick.
And what did you do, Colts?
You made him a top 10 pick.
And Chris Ballard has been like, I mean, don't get me wrong.
I think he's a good drafter.
Like the Colts have gotten some really solid players in the draft.
But a lot of their free agent signings have been iffy.
Their roster construction as a whole has been just iffy in general.
because, you know, they get, like, big names.
Like, they get these good guys, but not guys that, like, match together, like, at all.
Like, they reach on guys, you know, they have guys.
They bring in big names that aren't scheme fits.
They still can't figure out the quarterback spot.
And honestly, for the Colts, what's it going to take?
You know what I mean, Chris?
Yeah.
What is it actually going to take for them to, like, actually clean up their ass?
I think firing Chris Ballard was a step in the right direction.
And this offseason, don't be surprised if Shane Stuyken is next.
Because obviously, Daniel Jones was probably just a flash in the pan.
And I know I sure was skeptical about him.
And they'll say, oh, but it's going off an injury.
And I say no.
And we all agree the warning signs were there well before he got hurt.
Like your entire offense has become.
Jonathan Taylor. Your entire team has become Jonathan Taylor. If your entire team is one guy who's
not a quarterback, you're not going to win. Since week 12 of 2025, the Colts went two and 11, or two
and 11 tied worst with the Cardinals, the worst turnover differential at minus 12, 27th in the league
and yards per game, and 29th in opponent yards per game. Um,
Colts were the first team to ever reach six games over 500 and finished for the losing record last year.
Ballard's record, 72 and 82 and 1 made two playoff appearances, 2018 and 2020,
with only one playoff victory, and they never won the division during his tenure.
Yeah, sounds about right.
Yeah.
And like I said before, like he just had to go.
like a lot of people were getting
yeah like we're getting restless
like three years ago even and it
took long enough and as mentioned before
but I was thinking Shane Stuyken's days are number two
and I hate to say it but if you're the Colts
you are staring down a complete
and total rebuild
like I'm expecting them at the trade deadline
to be sellers I'm expecting them to be sellers
this off season like we might be looking at a complete
roster dismantling.
Yeah.
And he made a lot of very notable decisions down stretch here, too, that ultimately led to this point.
You know, we mentioned signing Daniel Jones, also traded for Soss Gardner for two first
round picks.
He also went picked up Adonai Mitchell as well.
At the end of the day, just not good enough.
All right.
And now all they do is just make Pat McAfee angry.
That's all we know them for now.
Yeah.
Speaking of Pat McAfee, did ESPN College Game Day post a video of Pat McAfee taking off his shirt again.
And they're like, Pat McAfee got so hyped up he took off his shirt.
It's like, so he got hyped up again for like he does every week.
Yeah.
like he always does that.
It's like,
I don't know anything against the guy,
but he's basically
kind of becoming the football equivalent
of the rock where it's like,
yeah,
I'm sure he's a good dude,
but I'm tired of seeing him everywhere.
Nice.
Or Kevin Hart or anyone like that.
Yeah,
I was about to say,
Kevin Hart more than the Rock.
Well, still,
but the Rock's also over to,
you know, like Kevin Hart,
like,
hell, even Tom Holland is everywhere now,
too,
like basically anyone,
like basically
whoever is the most
oversaturated
actor, actress, whatever
that is
their Pat McAfee
is the sports equivalent.
Well, Tom Holland's really just getting
Spider-Man treatment because
Toby McGuire also got a lot of
other films after Spider-Man.
Yeah, but still like I just
am so tired of like hearing
about everything, man.
I don't know Hollywood. I don't know
ball my point is mac and fees getting oversaturated and it's like oh look he did the thing that he
does every week it's like wow stocking i love watching him and nick sabin together in college
football game day you know you watch him like getting angry and shit and like oh yeah what are getting
hype you know super happy super bad you know just like yelling all those sentences and
nick sabin sitting next to him like please kill me yeah all right
Let's take a quick break when we come back.
We'll get into more details coming out about Jalen Hertz's Blood Clot.
And we'll talk about Sunday night football.
This is the former Ritchie podcast.
It may not have always showed it in the stat sheet,
but you can see him making throws when he needs to make the throws.
Back-to-back games where he has three touchdowns.
Someone's got to get that six or seven spot.
He's an elite wide receiver as a rookie.
Truly a lose-lose scenario for both sides.
All right.
So,
Thursday they announced that Jalen Hertz had a blood clot in his calf
and he was going to be out this week which
honestly if you have a blood clot you're more than likely out for the season
now it's been reported that it's been discovered that there are multiple
blood clots in his lungs and he's going to miss the rest of the season
hurts well undergo treatment involving blood thinners that is expected
to sideline him for at least three months.
Hertz's agent Nicole Lynn and the Eagles released a statement Monday detailing Hertz's condition.
Lynn and the Eagle said Hertz has deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary and bully,
meaning a blood clot traveled from his leg to his lung.
Clinically stable, no significant functional limitations,
but will not be allowed to participate in football activities while on this
which I cannot believe they let them play.
All right.
Hertz was initially diagnosed with what was described as a superficial blood clot in his calf.
That diagnosis occurred in London before the Eagles Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Hertz played despite the initial diagnosis and attempted 40 passes.
Here's where shit goes off the rails.
Hertz was in the hospital in London until 4 a.m.
on the morning of the game.
He did not sleep the night before the game
because he was told that sleeping posed health risks
associated with the blood clot.
He basically was asleep for 36 hours.
Or wait for 36 hours.
And he still threw for like, what, a touchdown?
It was like 22 for 40, 200-something yards.
And like they almost won the game.
Probably could have won the game or should have.
considered to be the clot is considered to be provoked meaning a favorable prognose with treatment and care
the other part was that they were like oh we might not put them on iR and then they put them on iR
was already ruled out for sunday game injury occurred october 4th against the rams then got treatment
Yeah, so this, boy, I mean, where do you even start with this, right?
It's, I still go back to the thing that I said before.
I think it's utterly insane that the Eagles let Jalen Hertz go back out there with the blood clot.
And it's like, like, we talked about it on Thursday.
Like, blood clots are no joke.
And they could be, they could be.
anywhere from like you could be out for a week.
But they also are very much career ending.
Like you could not play another snap.
Like the fact that Jalen hurts like the blood clots got to his lungs.
What the fuck?
Like how do we,
how did we let this go this far?
Like that is unbelievable.
I can only imagine what they would have been able to do
if they just sat them for that London game.
So, yeah.
On top of that, like they were, so they waved like Andy Dalton a couple weeks ago.
And now they're like, well, shit, it would be nice.
We had Andy Dalton now as the, as our backup to the backup, Tanner McKee.
But now he just got picked up by the Falcons.
Yeah.
So you don't even have a reliable third string at this point.
Or if any third string.
We talked about the Colts staring a rebuild in the face.
the Eagles are staring a rebuild
in the face.
Yeah, but
this is my view on the situation.
Please.
When you peruse the discourse
anywhere online,
the way some fans have been acting
is absolutely horrible.
I remember when they found the superficial
blood clot in his leg, some fans like, oh, so we'll miss a game.
That's cool. It's whatever. It's not the end of the world.
I just want to grab those people by the shoulders, like through the screen, say,
you fucking idiot.
Blood clots move.
And it's like, no, no, not that big of a deal.
It's like, oh, yeah.
And then there's some people that are saying, well, you can't blame him for playing.
He's a competitor.
He, you know, it's like, okay.
And you know what?
And I'm tired of hearing that.
Like, oh, well, he's a competitor.
He plays through injury.
And when it's shit like that, like a blood clot, it's, I think it's incumbent on the coach,
looking at you, Siriani, whatever it is that you do, to say, no, no, you're done.
Like, your life is more important.
Sit down.
But no, they let him stay awake for 36 hours.
And they said, oh, it's okay.
It's just a superficial blood clot in your leg.
Go play.
Then they go to their, then they, you know, then it turns out that goes to his lungs.
And he's like, and the Eagles are just like, oh, oopsie.
Sorry about that, buddy.
Sorry I made you attempt 40 passes.
Stay awake for 36 hours.
you know, make a trip to, you know, across the pond, as they say over there.
Like, what?
What the hell is that?
Do you know what the, I don't care if some people might get offended by this analogy.
And they say it's apples and oranges.
I disagree.
Do you know what this sort of reminds me of?
What?
Do you remember what happened with Trent Williams and the back then they were called the Redskins?
Yes and no.
well, I'll say it.
And for those who don't know, as you know,
Future Hall of Fame, left tackle, Trent Williams got his career start in Washington.
He played there for, I think, like, he was there for like 10 years or whatever.
And at one point during his career, I remember I watched a video on this.
He, they found like a bump on his head.
And the doctors, you know, with the commanders or no, no, Redskins,
or football team, whatever they were called.
then said, no, no, no, it's fine.
Don't worry about it.
And then he got checked out by a doctor outside the facility years later.
And they said, dude, this is like a tumor.
Oh, yeah.
They said, and they said, I'm like, it's only a few weeks away from reaching your brain.
We have to remove it now.
And I think, don't quote me on this, but I think like a doctor said, basically before
you go under, just in case, like get your affairs in order.
And after that, Trent Williams said, he marched right.
up to Dan Snyder and said, I'm done. I no longer want to be here. You damn near got me killed.
It's over. And Snyder, you know, being a little bastard that he is, just said, oh, yeah, well, I'm not
going to trade you. Then I think, like, a year goes by where Williams just sits out, and rightfully so.
And Snyder ends up having to trade him because, you know, he's obviously, you know, he lost the war of public
opinion, and rightfully so. So, yeah, this is kind of what it reminds me of, Philly does all shit to
Jailen hurts.
They're like, no, no, man, it's okay.
It's just a superficial thing in your leg.
Don't go to sleep, though.
You'll die.
Like, no, no, absolutely not.
Like, I'm sorry.
Heads have to roll for this shit.
And if you're Siriani, why?
And you know how blood clots are, even just for that game.
Why the fuck would you let him play?
Horrible.
No, fire him.
Fire him yesterday.
Like, he's got to go.
And what I'm afraid of for this Philly team is that when, when,
And not if when they completely flame out and miss the playoffs,
Siriani's going to go right up to Jeffrey Lorry and Howie Roseman, say,
well, actually, it's not my fault.
We suck.
Jalen Hertz got hurt.
It's not me.
No, no, no.
Fire him out of a cannon into the Atlantic.
He just horrid, horrid mismanagement.
And honest, like, if I'm Jalen Hertz, I'm demanding a trade.
And once again, to those you out there,
who keep parroting this, don't stay, well, he's a competitor.
He chose to play through it.
Literally it is the job of the coach to say no.
You don't do that.
And clearly, Billy, Siriani, and whoever else said they clearly didn't care enough to stop it.
Yep.
And no, don't you're wrong, I do credit Jaylen Hertz trying to play through that.
That man is a trooper and he's tough as nails.
And hell, and I've even said before, like, he gets way too much hate.
And he's the only reason that they're not winless.
but now something's got to be done and if i'm jalen hurts i am pulling a trent williams and i'm demanding
a trade because like the way they damn near got him killed with the whole like oh it's just in
your leg which once again knowing full and damn well the blood clots move yeah i just but above all else
i hope he's okay wishing the best um we i want to see him back out on the field fully healthy
of course.
And if he ends up, God forbid, having to retire because of this,
then I think he should retire with his head held high.
You know, he did nothing wrong.
Backs, backs.
I mean, dude was a Super Bowl champ.
I mean, I just watched the Sabin documentary.
And it kind of was just like, shit, man.
I just watched it like a couple of days ago.
So like the jail and hurts blood clot thing already come out.
And I was like, fuck, man.
Like you kind of forget, like how much had.
adversity.
Jalen Hertz had to go through literally from like at Bama until right now.
Like the amount of adversity had to go through to get to this point is unbelievable.
Like going from being the starter and was all that was that guy and then some at Bama to getting benched
in the national championship game and your backup throws the game winning touchdown in overtime.
to then getting a chance to redeem yourself the next year in the same place against the same team.
And you succeed in that.
Transferring to Oklahoma being a He won the high.
Did anyone or?
No, I don't think he ever won the high.
That was the Joe Burrow year, right? Yeah.
But as a Heisman candidate and his one year at Oklahoma gets drafted,
to the Eagles, you know, they go through some suckage.
He's the backup for a year or two.
And then he goes to the Super Bowl.
He loses the Super Bowl.
They're shit the next year.
Wins the Super Bowl.
Shit the next year.
Not great the year after that.
And now this.
Along with the fact that he's had a new offensive coordinator every
fucking year.
It hasn't been easy.
It hasn't been easy in the last 10 years for old Jalen.
Anything else to touch on here?
Nothing really now.
Yeah.
Like, I've said my piece.
Yeah.
Real quick, before we go to Sunday Night Football,
C.J. Gardner Johnson suspended one game.
It's pretty good for an elevated player.
Yeah.
You know, who didn't do that?
Epton Chisholm.
Epton Chisholm.
Yeah.
Yep.
Cowboys getting decimated by the Packers on Sunday night football.
And I say decimated because this score should have been a lot worse.
Like, Jordan Love played a great game.
And his receivers were kind of selling on him.
Like, it felt like, like, obviously, you know, the interception was like, what the fuck are he thrown at?
But backers look good.
Backers look good.
Josh Jacobs gang.
is now going to be coming off the commissioner's exemplarist, which that's a whole thing in itself as well.
I don't know how much you've been looking into that.
But they're about to get Josh Jacobs back off the commissioner's exemplist.
They're going to get Michael Parsons back at some point.
Things are starting to ramp up for the pack.
Things are starting to ramp up.
Yeah.
And, you know, I just think it's crazy how at one point, you know, Matt LaFleur was literally on the
hot seat.
And since then,
Jordan Love has come alive.
Christian Watson and
Matthew Golden are quickly becoming one of the
best receiver duos in the entire league.
The defense is fighting its footing
without Michael Parsons
and Edgerman Cooper.
You know, the young corners they have
are starting to really
come into their own.
And as for the
Cowboys, you know,
they were pretty quiet at the softsie.
season, which is weird because, you know, old Jerry boy loves his drama.
But, huh, I'm just underwhelmed.
You know, all they ever talk about down in Dallas,
least on defense, is stopping the run.
That's what Jerry Jones wanted.
That's what their identities built around.
And they can't stop the run.
And they'll say, oh, but we did against the Packers.
Counterpoint, yeah, you played against Pierre Strong and Marshaun Lloyd.
You want a medal?
and they have a lot of trouble getting to the passer.
The defensive backfield is, and I'm going to be charitable here, suspect.
And literally, unless the offense goes out and drops 50 points a game, they're not going to win.
You know, this year really reminds me of the NFC East of Old.
to remember just the glorified tanking division.
I think that's what the YouTube Earning Tree called it.
That was a tank division.
Like, yeah, that's what it was.
Of course, that kind of shifted over to the NFC South.
But now, now it's coming back to the NFC East.
You'll love to see it.
You really do.
And honestly, I don't know.
I don't really know what the Cowboys can even do.
I mean, granted, like, you think it's a Brian
Schottenheimer thing? Because you remember, I was never a fan of his when they hired him.
Hell, most people weren't.
I mean, I don't really blame Dak.
I mean, did you see how the Packers were pressuring him all night long?
Like, every dropback, there was someone in his face.
And also, C.D. Lamb and George Pickens aren't without blame either.
They were just crushed.
Like, they were getting literally crushed.
as soon as they tried to get off of their route.
Like they were getting jammed, they were getting pressed,
and they just, and like I said,
George Pickens and C.D. Lamb were not winning their one-on-one matchups.
And as for the Packers,
they were getting cooked by Matthew Golden and Christian Watson.
You know, like I said, the defense is finally coming along.
And honestly, my big takeaway,
that LaFlorra might just saved his job.
actually scratched that.
He did, like barring a historic collapse.
But, yeah, Matt LaFleor, I think you might be safe now.
You are muted.
Sorry, my cat was fuck around with a kitty litter.
Yeah.
But, yeah, Packers, they're in trouble.
They're in trouble.
I mean, yeah, defense did all right.
But, like, at the end of the day, it also comes down to the offense,
only putting up 13, and all 13 came in the second half.
against a Packers defense that, quite frankly, didn't really start to get going until, what, like, last week.
So, yeah, Cowboys are in trouble.
I'm not really high on the Cowboys anymore, two and four.
And, I mean, crazy, you mentioned a crazy thing is that the NFC East is still somehow attainable.
But maybe it's not anymore because the Giants are just going to run away with it because
JJ McCarthy is there, which just quickly like, credit to JJ McCarthy, throwing a pick on your
first pass, then going out, having the most passing yards in 11 minutes span in NFL history,
and being nine yards short of most passing yards in a single quarter, second to,
Boomer Assison and Tom Brie.
Wow.
And Camp Scadbu also got zero touches, played like six snaps,
but it basically just didn't play on Sunday.
Yeah.
I wonder, I think it's because of his,
I would assume it's because of his fumbling issue.
Yeah, yeah, six, what was it, like six snaps and no touches at all?
That was a pure, that, that was just punishment.
And he was being punished for that game.
I said that, you know?
Yeah.
I don't think anyone can really disagree with me.
No.
Like that's why he plays if he doesn't fumble.
Like that was.
And honestly, I know the fumble was bad, but I don't really agree with that decision.
You know?
What is this?
High school?
Because you got to wear that shit in high school.
I mean, you can't even get away with that in college for crying out loud.
Yeah.
It's not D1.
No.
All right.
Well, that's all the schedule content.
We'll jump over to ourselves for the Monday night football recap.
All right, Monday night football.
We got tucked back.
No C for the night portion of the show.
It might end up being that way for the rest of the season, unfortunately.
But that's all right because we'll at least have him for the first half.
He's always been against the night.
recaps anyways.
Low key.
Like he enjoys it,
but I remember he was a little against
it at the beginning.
But us night crawlers.
Love this shit.
But yeah,
Niners get the win,
2317 on Monday night
football against the commanders.
Right before
we started recording, we said
it would
have been a great win if
you only played the first half highlights.
And then the second half came around.
And yeah, the Niners got a field goal in the third quarter.
But what was it like going into their final drive?
They only had eight total yards in the fourth quarter, something like that.
Yes.
Yeah.
Credit to the commanders.
I mean, first off, six no, awesome,
especially when you only had Mike Evans for like 28 minutes.
of the game and then he was ruled out at the two minute warning which credit to him for going
out there beat to shit they're they were talking about him they're making him sound like he was 70
years old they're like yeah he's got he's got a rib injury he's got a tight Achilles he's got
this he's got that it's like Jesus Christ like I get this guy's injury problem I fucking I
yeah I didn't know how bad it was this year I think it's
really just for this week, but I could be incredibly wrong.
An Achilles?
Like not a tear, not a tear, like a tight, like a tight Achilles, like just the muscle itself.
That doesn't sound promising, no, and you know how Mike Evans is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He might be gone for five weeks.
For real.
I mean, they could, at this rate, they could afford it.
Like Brock Purdy's playing like an MVP caliber quarterback, 21 for 29, a touchdown,
264 yards.
CMC had a good night.
This was the most touches that he's had this season.
And that was kind of like a talking point that they had during the broadcast was how much more do you let McCaffrey go, especially with, you know, you just saw Mike Evans go down and all these other injuries are going on.
You just saw Trent Williams take a spill as well.
So, like, it was definitely an interesting game management situation, basically all night for Shanahan.
But, I mean, kind of had to keep them in the game, keep those guys in the game when you couldn't get anything going.
And your defense all of a sudden is letting up points.
So, yeah, anything to add?
Or anything on the 49 side?
They look like a beast of a team in the first half.
They look completely different than the second half, both offensively and defensively,
because the game became close.
They allowed the commanders to get back in it.
They look the first half, they look like the best team in the NFL in the second half.
They looked fairly beatable.
So I think they're still the best team in the NFC,
because more often than not, they look like the former than the latter.
But that's something to look upon, especially with the injury to Mike Evans.
We need to see whether or not that would be a problem going forward.
But, hey, it's injuries in the 49thus always have injuries.
So I think they'll deal with it as it goes along.
Yeah.
I guess looking at the commander side of things, I mean, credit that you made the comeback,
but this isn't really changing thing for their season.
I think it just reaffirms the fact that
what's his face is going to get fired?
Dan Quinn.
Unless they make the playoffs.
They're not making the playoffs at this rate.
There's no chance.
In this division?
Yeah, true.
But like, even in this division, like...
They're one four and one, and they still have a chance.
But, like, they had a chance to be two and four,
and they muffled that.
So how am I supposed to expect them to win the division?
Like Dallas.
No, no, tuck.
Excuse me.
Bless you.
Oh, I got a stock coming out.
That's embarrassing.
Listen, the commanders won the division at 7 and 9 back in 2020.
That is coming into play right now.
All these teams are horrendous right now.
But like when I look at all four teams,
I somehow look at the commanders as like the worst lead team.
Worst led?
Yes.
Like I think when you look at the commanders,
I think that just more stupid shit happens with their like with in terms of game planning,
in terms of what's getting called on the field,
in terms of what's actually happening on the field.
And like, sure, this is more so maybe just stuff that actually gets caught on the broadcast maybe.
but and I mean I guess the tie itself maybe just inflates it more but like it's more ridiculous than what the other three teams are doing like the Giants haven't done anything like that egregious to be like oh yeah like they're definitely not winning the vision or this and that like Cowboys obviously the Eagles most definitely but the commanders I mean you look at tonight their offense is lifeless the one chance that they actually do
have in the red zone it's uh muffed up by jaden daniels throwing away on fourth down and then
you cut to dan quinn who's like all right let's get the field goal unit out and he's like oh that was
fourth down oh what like brother like how like we we just got done talking about how what like on
Thursday or Friday's episode, we got done talking about how, like, this could be the
make or break of how soon Dan Quinn gets, like, he could get fired as soon as Tuesday
type of thing.
And then depending on how this goes.
And if that, like, if that first, that second half was the same as the first half, he's
getting fired immediately.
He was getting fired tomorrow.
You think he's getting fired tomorrow?
I don't think he's getting fired tomorrow anymore.
I do still think he's getting fired.
But like I said, it's one of those.
How soon does this guy get fired?
But at this rate, I mean, I could see him just getting fired on Black Monday and calling it a day, you know?
We say this, but then we'll see other teams mess up even worse.
Dallas lost to the Buccaneers on Thursday night football.
We thought it was bad, horrendous.
But then 10 days later, they go up against Green Bay, and they arguably played even worse.
I don't understand how they played that bad against the Buccaneers,
and they still somehow might have played even worse against the Packers.
I genuinely don't understand how everyone in the NFC East is so mid to ass.
And it's weird to me because Dallas shouldn't be this bad.
They just, they shouldn't.
No, but like, it goes back to what I say, though.
Like when you look, when you think of a team like Dallas, it's just the overall general thing, right?
Like, like, yeah, their offense is nail.
It should be nails, but it hasn't been now.
And the defense is still dick.
Whereas the commanders, their overall is ass.
But they actually have pinpoints of like, what the fuck are you doing?
The problem is, like, when I was watching the game, I remember, like, looking at, like, the commander's defense.
and they're not bad because they'll have like spurts here and there,
like that force fumble on Christian McCaffrey.
Yep.
Where they just halted the drive and got the ball back to the commit.
They could show brilliance like that,
and then all of a sudden it just goes downhill,
and they just can't stop anybody.
And the offense is offensive at times,
and it's like, I understand why that is because they have a terrible old line.
They can't generate a running attack,
and now they've lost Terry McLaren.
Like, it's obvious.
obvious why they are what they are, Liz, like, still, they're, they make some of the worst
forced errors on that don't even need to be made and they're still in contention for this
damn division. I know one four and one doesn't sound promising, but neither do any of these other
records. Neither do any of these other teams. So as much as I want to be like Dan
Quinn has got to go and you should have been gone yesterday, this
division is so ass where he's allowed he's literally being allowed to get away with murder and
negligence right now yeah it's crazy how similar the 10 years of like with washington and
and his tenure with that lana how similar they are like there's one big splash year where they
make a massive run of the playoffs like the balkans obviously with the super bowl and then uh with
Washington to make it to the NFC championship.
You know, they lose or whatever.
They have some sort of blunder.
You know, his Falcons blunder was 28 to 3.
And then his commander's blunder was losing by like 30 to the NFC championship.
Obviously, it wasn't really a blunder because the commanders were the command, you know,
everyone knows what the commanders were at that point.
But like there was still at least some promise.
But like now we're seeing like the back.
half of that of, oh, this is why Dan Quinn actually got fired from Atlanta.
Stupid shit like this.
And the ironic thing is the head coach he went up against to show this is Kyle Shanahan.
His O.C. that helped give away that 28 to 3 lead in that Super Bowl.
Yep.
Oh.
The more you're talking, the more I'm like, yeah, this team sucks.
But I felt like that before the game.
I still feel like that now.
But they just suck with a chance to win the division.
Not much, but still.
The good thing for them is that they got the buy.
Oh, so they're on a buy now?
So they get, what, 13 days rest?
Yeah.
But then they had the pleasure of playing the Eagles on Sunday night football.
They can win that.
They're at home, though.
They are at home.
They can win that.
I don't see them.
losing.
Because the Eagles don't look good either.
They've lost four straight.
Commies being on prime time as much as they are.
They're on primetime again?
They're on Sunday night football two weeks.
How are they getting away with this?
So the Eagles game is on Sunday night football.
And then they're on Thursday night against the Johns.
And that's two weeks later.
And then the week after that, they're on Monday night football against the Bengals.
How, how, but whatever.
I don't understand it.
They got it.
They can have it.
Don't know how that works, but it is what it is.
Yeah, I don't know.
Tommy's still currently sit in last place in the East,
um, a half game back of the Cowboys.
and the Niners still sit atop of the NFC West,
three-game lead on Seahawks.
Yep, Cahawks are a mess too right now, but...
I guess before we wrap up,
just injury news that came in.
Romeo Dobs put on IR today.
That freaking blows.
Hey, but more Fenton Chisholm.
More Efton Chisholm, hopefully.
or Bob Douglas.
I'm just hoping things just open up a little bit,
but there's a clip that resurfaced after he got put on IR.
It was like,
this,
this looks a little bit more ridiculous now.
It's Dubbs getting his touchdown.
He's like obviously hurt in the end zone.
He's lying on his back and he like puts his arm up.
And then here comes AJ Brown and pop Douglas.
And they basically start beating the shit out of him.
They're like,
what the fuck are these two doing?
The boy's down.
But the real news, the real news here, it's really unfortunate, you know, things just get really
mucked up way too many times, right?
Yes, the ramps, you know, the ramps have dealt with some stupid shit, including injuries,
you know, you'll lose Miles Garrett for a little bit.
Who knows, Matt Stafford might be hurt.
Puka had an injury as well.
but now Blake Group has torn as ACL.
And the Rams will now have to go to their third kicker.
Well, that is true.
But Devante Adams is also out with a torn handstring for six to ten weeks.
Ooh.
I'm going to put a bullet in my mouth because I have in too many fantasy leagues.
That is rough.
Six to ten weeks.
and somehow, some way,
they're still going to have to figure out
how to make the playoffs.
Because if they don't make the playoffs,
this is a bus season.
And Sean McVeigh might actually retire.
Matthew Stafford might actually retire.
Aaron Donald will re-retire.
And we'll never see the full potential of this team
after going all in like they did this all season.
Yeah.
I mean, we're talking lower body injuries for receivers.
Terry McLaurin. I mean, he's probably going to miss
significant time with whatever he's
dealing with. Yeah. We brought
up Mike Evans earlier.
The
reason he was ruled out for the rest of the game
was his Achilles.
Not saying it was torn
or anything, but, you know, when you look at
the injury report, in parentheses it says
Achilles.
Yeah.
Not good.
No.
Monti Adams,
is expected to have a procedure on his hamstring tendon to clean it out with hopes that he can return around the time of the buy or a little after Rams buys week 11 so that would be a pretty short window to say the least yeah are there they're really hoping for like the best case scenario that you could possibly ask for that's best case we don't even know how it'll go yeah and at this point at this point at this point
I don't know what medical staff to fucking trust
because you got Jill and Hertz that played on a blood clot,
which by the way,
the Patriots shut down Christian Barmore
immediately as soon as they found out he had blood clots.
Yeah.
To give you more of an idea of how fucking ridiculous it is.
It went from the superficial blood clot
into like multiple blood clots.
And now he's done for the season.
Yeah.
You see that dude on the NFL network?
it's like one of those talk shows on the NFL network
and one of the guys, he looks like DeAngelo Williams.
I don't know if it actually is him or not,
but he had a wild take, just absolutely absurd take.
It was up there for like take of the year type of thing.
And he was saying how, you know,
he's being thrown out hypothetical skepticism type of thing and he's like um you know seeing how
the season's going on you see these injuries you know i wouldn't be surprised if i was jailing
hurts i would say oh i'm hurt too oh i'm out for the year and it's like what brother what
what i think brandon marshall said something like that too no i wasn't maybe it was bram i didn't
see Brandon Marshall say anything like that.
He said he said Jalen Harts should
milk it. That's
what he said.
I mean,
I don't know. It's kind of hard
to not find blood clots
in your fucking lungs.
Yes.
That's just tough.
That's an
unfortunate situation to find yourself in.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, that's all the schedule content that we have for you today.
Yeah, I'll see you on Friday's episode where we'll do week seven picks and preview.
And recap a Thursday night football, Bears, Pats.
Bears, Pat's.
Oh, that's a big game for you guys.
Yeah, first non-week-one primetime game of the year.
So this should get interesting.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
This is one of those reasons why I wish AJ Brown didn't play on Sunday,
because now everyone has this really bad negative connotation with AJ Brown
after seeing him for the first time since week one.
But see how it plays.
Anything else that you have on your mind before we end the show?
The college football rankings aren't insane,
but that's all.
Fair enough.
