What's going on, everyone? Hope you guys are having a fantastic Thursday.
I wanted to make a quick, quick podcast that should do for you guys today.
And it is about my second biggest productivity hack.
So I think the first one, the first biggest for me is waking up at four and getting, you know,
four or five uninterrupted hours of work done without anyone bothering me.
And that is probably my single biggest hack period because it allows me to move my big balls.
Well, who, the big balls of the business forward.
But the second biggest hack is what I want to share with you today.
So one of the things that I think is most wasted as an entrepreneur is where I would call the
minutes in between, the rounded off minutes.
And so let's say you have an appointment that's scheduled to start at 230 and it's like
208, right?
Or it's 212.
And a lot of times, at least this was something I used to do that I actively tried to break
the habit.
it honestly is one of it's like it's a game changer is that I used to have the belief that I can't
get anything real done in 18 minutes right and um what was interesting is that a lot of times
we put off doing things until we have big chunks of time right but what I found is that there's
this amount of I don't know aggravation or stress that open loops cause and so like one
the secrets, and I got this from somebody who was talking about how to write a book, okay?
And so one of his secrets to writing a book and getting them done quickly was that he would never
leave off his writing when he was, when he had completed a thought. And so it's like, if you feel
like you've completed a thought, you've completed the cycle, you're like, cool, I wrap that up.
And what happens is it takes, then once you're there, it feels like it takes you a long time to
like go back in and start the next thought, right? And so you feel like give the book a lot of time
all this kind of stuff, right? And so instead, he found that he would just have open loops. And he would
finish, he would finish writing, his writing session when he was halfway done working through a thought.
Okay. And so it's like, it's not complete yet. And so what happened is he would just be like,
driven to get back to writing so he could complete this thought. But he wouldn't, he wouldn't stop
until he had already started the next loop because he already had momentum, right? And so I read this
and I was like, oh my gosh, because for me, it was, it's kind of,
just the same thought, not just with writing a book, but with like how you're doing work.
And so I had this fear of like, well, I don't want to start something that I can't finish.
But the reality is that if you start something that you can't finish, the likelihood that you're
going to finish it faster is way, way, way higher.
And so if I start something and let's say I start an email or I start a script, like a sales
script that I need to finish or I start a messenger sequence that I need to write or whatever.
right and i and i and i'm only like one third done and then i have to hop on a meeting for whatever right
i immediately want to go back to it as soon as the meeting's over to to to continue right and so what
happens is i get to suck up all of those 18 minute eight minute 12 minute chunks throughout my day
rather than just pulling out my phone and going on instagram or going on facebook to check my notifications
because like i got you know it's only 12 minutes and i can't tell you
how much of a game changer has been for me.
Obviously, like, you get all those minutes back
and those minutes do add up.
But I think more importantly,
having the open loop and the mindset around the fact
that if you start something and you don't finish it,
it actually means it will get done faster
rather than more slowly.
Hey, guys, real quick, if you're new to the podcast,
I have a book on Amazon called $100 million offers
that over 8,000 five-star reviews
and it has almost a perfect score.
You can get it for 99 cents on Kindle.
The reason I bring it up is that I put over 1,000 hours
into writing that book.
and it's my biggest give to our community.
So it's my very shameless way of trying to get you to like me more
and ultimately make more dollars so that later on in your business career,
I can potentially partner with you.
So that's my give.
Go check it out, Amazon, and back to the show.
And so that's probably my like second biggest like hack or at least belief that I had to
break for myself from like a what I do every day standpoint.
That has like super, super help me.
And so I hope that's, you know,
I hope that's useful for you guys because I know you guys are busy all the time
and you guys get tons of interruptions, probably like I do.
And just the shift of thinking,
I can start something and not finish it,
and it's a good thing,
because then it's going to mean that I'm going to come back to it immediately
and want to finish it faster.
So anyways,
hope you guys have an amazing Thursday.
I am cranking today.
Y'all can join me in the productivity hustle
of getting tons and tons and tons of stuff done.
We're gone for, I think, three weeks in May,
just doing like back-to-back zillion things.
And we have all these releases that are coming out,
things that have been in the works for like six to nine months and they're all happening in a
period of six weeks it's going to be insane but the crunch time is now because i have to finish this stuff
before we go so anyways guys hope you have an awesome day and uh you're super productive and that you
suck up all those extra minutes that you might normally have not used and just give it to facebook
to give ads to all right have an amazing day talk to you soon bye
