Starting point is 00:00:00 It's the Summer Big Red Sale at Canadian Tire! Save up to 50%! What are you doing? These are the biggest deals of the season! I'm shouting it from the rooftop! You have a radio ad, you don't need to be up there. The Summer Big Red Sale is on from June 5th to June 12th. Conditions apply.
Starting point is 00:00:12 Details online. There you are, pushing your newborn baby in a stroller through the park. The first time out of the house in weeks, you have your Starbucks venti, because, you know, sleep deprivation. You meet your best friend, she asks you how it's going, you immediately begin to laugh, then cry,
Starting point is 00:00:30 then laugh cry, that's totally normal, right? She smiles, you hug, there's no one else you'd rather share this with. You know, three and a half hours sleep is more than enough. Starbucks, it's never just coffee. You are listening to the Glass Cannon Network, the premier source for role-playing game entertainment. Last week on the Glass Cannon Podcast.
Starting point is 00:00:59 As you get upstairs and quietly open the secret door, you see Takuzo is sitting there reading, have you been down there for two and a half days? Riddleson. We can't be trusted. You must keep your distance at all costs. Are we in danger? Yes.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Yes. We're in great danger. My God. If Riddleson returns in the morning, you'll trust him. We've been used. If he's moving around on a board that we can't see. Why don't we go to the lich gate? Why don't we go find him?
Starting point is 00:01:25 Yeah, let's go. You sneak out of the house. Yes. From Lepestadt into the Shutterwood. Eventually, through the forest, you see an elven ruin. As you approach, four people emerge. Sadly, I must report that the ruins are off limits at this time. Turn around. Be on your way.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Says who? On whose authority, may I ask? Our boss. Your boss isn't Dr. Riddleson, by any chance? They all seem surprised. Has he gotten through the gate yet? Would you wait here, Long Terrily? You got it, Marcus. Marcus returns, Dr. Richardson.
Starting point is 00:02:07 He'll speak with you. Would you please follow us? Oh, shit. The adventure continues... ...now. You I have a little headache right here. Oh, over the eye? That means you're dying. Is that death?
Starting point is 00:03:04 Can you do the temple? A right eye. If it's your right eye, it is death. Right eye. It's right over the eye? That means you're dying. Is that death? A right eye. If it's your right eye, it is death. Right eye. It's right over the eye. It's a very important blood vessel that runs up the right side. To my heart. I was making that up.
Starting point is 00:03:14 It's really... It was I. We're working together. It's painful and maybe unrelated. I feel very tired. I haven't felt tired lately, but I feel very tired. So, you guys do the episode. Have you guys ever had an ocular migraine?
Starting point is 00:03:32 What's that in your eyes? It is one where basically like you feel a migraine, but it's one where you hallucinate. You can like see like colors and like rainbow waves kind of flash in your vision. I think you ate mushrooms. Yes. I saw that once when I was high. They're very rare. Does this happen after you eat drugs?
Starting point is 00:03:51 Yes. They're very rare. I think you ate drugs and then got a ocular headache. But it sounds like the best worst kind of headache you can get because you're like kind of having fun, but your head still hurts. You're like whoa, eww. I'm not having that one.
Starting point is 00:04:08 No, I wish you were. Rub your temple, rub your temple. My temple? Yeah, you squeeze your temple like this. Remember Shirley Temple? Ooh. You're taking health advice from Sidney now? You must be desperate.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Yeah, I am. Now it just makes this part hurt because my finger's so strong. I'm bruising myself. You know what I think you're tired of? What? Bullshit. Well, you got that right. I said as we were about to record,
Starting point is 00:04:35 I got all excited because it looked like Kate was pounding a Corse banquet beer. Yeah. Well, that's the whole trick of liquid death. That's the whole point. Yeah. Yeah, it makes you think that person's cool. You That's the whole point. Yeah. It's a branding. Yeah, it makes you think that person's cool.
Starting point is 00:04:46 And then you realize there is. You look like an alcoholic at all times. Yeah. It's expensive water. It's actually pretty good water though. This one's called Grave Fruit. And it has- Oh wait, they're fruited?
Starting point is 00:04:55 Yeah, this one's a carbonated water. They just drink water. Grapefruit, lime, and orange. I like the carbonated ones. I like water. Right here. From America. Well, the water right here from America.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Well, the water from here is from upstate. It's good water. It's good water. From your backyard. Yeah, you guys have it and I don't get to use it. That's why our pizza and bagels are so good. We talked about bagels last week. That's true. But yeah, the water, there's a pizza, LA pizza.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Maybe you live in LA, what a horrible place to live. But also, especially if you want pizza. Pizza is so horrible out there. I sound like an East Coast idiot. But there's one place when I was living out there that people were like, you got to go. They ship in water from Boston every day. Whether it's true or not, their pizza was pretty good. But it was like a pain in the ass to get to.
Starting point is 00:05:43 But yeah. Sounds like it's a pain in the ass to run that business too. I'll tell you if I had that slice right now. I mean it sounds like a ridiculous business concept especially for a pizza place where your per item sales are not very high in terms of value right? Like the cost of the pizza is supposed to way outweigh the cost of the ingredients and shipping water seems very, very heavy. Water's heavy.
Starting point is 00:06:07 For not a lot of value. I love how you're thinking about this as a business owner and me as someone who worked front of house, I'm just like, God, those customers must be so annoying. Like, are you sure? Yeah, this is it. This is from Boston today. We see the Boston water.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Tastes like LA water. Boston water. But you appreciate the Philly bread is very special. That's what I don't really. Shorties will get it delivered daily. They get the bread delivered. The bread. That's different than the water delivered, right?
Starting point is 00:06:34 Yeah, and I never really could wrap my head around that. A pizza is great in Philly. I don't know, I don't think the bagels are as good as New York. So you have great bagels, great pizza in New York, and just far superior rolls in Philly, which I don't understand why. Yeah, I mean, I'll give you that.
Starting point is 00:06:52 The rolls are special. Yeah, I'll give you that. And everybody says it's the water in Philly. But I'm just like, the water in New York is supposed to make great pizza and great bagels. Is it that different kind of water makes that different thing? Do you guys drink tap water? I do, all the time. Like, is it that different kind of water makes that different thing? Do you guys drink tap water?
Starting point is 00:07:06 I do, all the time. Everywhere, all the time. Really? I get enough of it. All the time. I don't touch it. In foreign countries. And I know New York tap water's supposed to be the best,
Starting point is 00:07:14 but I just like a spring water. It's good water. Really? I came here in high school for a high school trip, and I had a flask with me, and I filled it with New York tap water. And I was just like, ha ha, New York tap water. I was just like, haha, New York tap water. I'm so proud of myself.
Starting point is 00:07:26 It's like when my buddy gave me dirt from Larry Bird's birth home. Oh yeah. Front yard? His front yard when he went to visit French Lick, Indiana. He was one of my groomsmen and he came up to me like really sly right before I got married. He goes, here you go. What is this? He goes, that's dirt from Larry Bird's childhood home.
Starting point is 00:07:47 It was great. Yeah, it was great. That's, I, so he moved after he retired from the Celtics. He moved, he bought a house like three blocks away from my grandparents. Oh really? Yeah. And then, but he eventually moved. Cause like people would just like steal chunks of his lawn.
Starting point is 00:08:02 People would just come by and this was a rip up chunks of sod. Got that bird sod. Bird sod. Do any of you get migraines? Are you prone to migraines? No, I was just going to say this. I have very little migraine empathy because I've never had a migraine. You get headaches.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Not really. Oh, come on. All the time I see you with headaches when we're on tour. Well, that's just fatigue show fatigue and dehydration. From what I hear about a migraine, it's the worst thing in the world. And I just feel very lucky that I haven't experienced it. But my wife gets them and it just seems brutal. Completely kills your day, shuts you down. I went through a time period in high school where I got horrible, debilitating migraines
Starting point is 00:08:48 and I had to like lay with a cold compress over my eyes in like a dark room and never found out what was wrong. Just could have been like growing pain stuff. I just kind of grew out of it. But I remember coming home from school and just being like, I'm dying. And my mom would just like lay me on the couch and we would like turn the lights down and they just kind of have to go away. You can't really do anything about them. Why do you get them?
Starting point is 00:09:12 You're broken inside. I think it's gotta be related. Is it genetic? It's probably related to stress and like dehydration and stuff because it does feel like your head is just pounding. Like it's just like. Oh no sure, but like that might be what triggers it,
Starting point is 00:09:23 but like who's prone to it? People weaker humans. Less than. No, people that are less than. just pounding. Like it's just like- Well, no, sure. But like that might be what triggers it, but like who's prone to it? People weaker humans. Less than. No, people that are less than. We're not all great. I know Hall of Famer Terrell Davis used to get them and they would- He was pretty great.
Starting point is 00:09:36 He would, they would give him a nasal spray. They would administer some kind of nasal spray that would take care of the problem. He was hit a lot in the head though. Yes. Sydney was just a weak child. I was a sickly child. I was a sickly child. They didn't think I would make it past four days. I'm Googling, I'm doing what Matthew would do
Starting point is 00:09:57 if Matthew was here and that's to just Google. What are you Googling? Why do people get migraines? Oh yeah. Migraines are complex. Their exact cause is unknown still. Is that the AI answer? That's the AI answer.
Starting point is 00:10:09 Oh, you know it's true. Yep. I hate AI. It's so annoying. Every time I type something and then you go further down, you're like, I don't want to look at that AI. Then you scroll down and you're like, let me click on a real thing. And then it also brings up AI.
Starting point is 00:10:21 I hate you. You're going to be as angry at your AI butler in three years? I hate you. Because you'll have one as angry at your AI butler in three years? I hate you. Because you'll have one. You'll be upset if you say that. I'm going on Quora much better than AI. Yes, community answers. Oh, nope. Migraines are very complex and doctors are still puzzled as to why they could...
Starting point is 00:10:38 They don't know. They don't know. Yep. Well, we didn't learn anything. My headache somehow got worse. Well, I learned a little bit more. I know how to search better than Sydney, obviously. There's ways to search. It's an art. Yeah. But...
Starting point is 00:10:54 The real question was, why do certain people get migraines? What's your AI? I'm just saying this is closer. My AI is a little bit closer in that it does... It's one in five women, one in 16 men. That's a huge difference. That's a big difference. It sucks for women. And even one in 11 children. Oh, wow. One in 11 children. To add on to that, multiple triggers that lead to it, including a drop in estrogen levels for mostly women that would occur, alcohol use, stress, cold weather fronts,
Starting point is 00:11:27 and sleep deprivation. Are you sleeping okay? Are you sleeping? I'm sleeping great. I'm sleeping great, yeah. He's changed his whole lifestyle. Yeah, I'm all about sleep. Well, you only eat eggs now.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Maybe that's why you have a headache. Yeah, I only ingested protein. How many eggs till you get a migraine? I think if you only ingest protein and then sit completely stationary and play role playing games. Your brain needs carbs. Yeah. No, I mean, I'm trying to really cut back on sugar and this is a recent thing. Why?
Starting point is 00:12:01 And it's no good. It's no good. I got to lose weight. You get old, it's really hard to lose weight and stuff like that. And the sugar, I just, you know, Easter candy stays around for a month after. So I'm just like, so when you go from like no more sugar, your body I think is just like boom. A little detox. And I'm also not drinking caffeine afternoon now
Starting point is 00:12:20 except on the weekends once in a while because you know, the half life of caffeine can infect your sleep. And so maybe that's why I'm tired, but it hasn't hit me until right now. It does say if you limit carbs too much and you're not getting enough fiber and nutrients, you can get headaches. Too many eggs. Had some fiber.
Starting point is 00:12:37 It also says you should not eat five eggs, five hard boiled eggs in one sitting. It does not. Paul Newman had a horrible migraine after shooting that scene. Show me where it says it. Yeah, it says that and it says, don't eat five eggs in one sitting and then play Pathfinder 2E. Next week, I'm going to eat hard boiled eggs on air. Maybe if you share.
Starting point is 00:12:58 I gotta remember to do that. Bring enough for all of us. I'm gonna bring in some just for me. Ew. And I'm gonna eat them and I'm gonna feel great. We just for me. Ew. Ew. I'm going to eat them and I'm going to feel great. We'll be back right after this. Pardon the interruption here, Nace. Just a quick hop in for me to let you know about Heroforge.

I want to thank our sponsors. As always, Foundry Virtual Tabletop going to see some Foundry today. And of course, old Norse Foundry. Oh, the Norse.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Love the Norse Foundry. All the Foundry's money can buy. All the Futhark dice that you can eat. What's Futhark? Futhark is the Norse runic alphabet. Oh, look at that. There it is. Elder Futhark and younger Futhark. Yes. Very cool.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Futhark. Futhark. I just did an Age of Vikings game with our friends at Chaosium. So I did the same thing I did for the King Arthur, for the Pendragon. Well, you already recorded that? Yeah, yeah. I heard it was awesome. It's amazing. The game is fantastic.
Starting point is 00:16:50 We had a great time. Okay. And so I did the same thing I did for the Arthurian game for Pendragon. I took a great course's course on Viking. In preparation for the, you see this dedication that some people have. Why did you look?
Starting point is 00:17:03 To their craft. Why are you still looking at me? Sorry, I just had a crick in my neck. That's the head part. Sydney, have you taken any classes on high fantasy bards? She's literally in a musical. I'm literally in a musical. I said high fantasy.
Starting point is 00:17:18 I didn't say musical theater. Sometimes I pretend to be an elf on stage. Is that not enough? That's a preparation of a sort. Do you have performances where people can come watch? Yeah. We had one, actually a fan, a friend of the nation. Dr. Billy.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Dr. Billy. Dr. Billy. Westchester's on. I told everybody that you came down, Billy, thank you. If you have a sick horse, bring him to Westchester. Yep, just gallop on over. Go to Billy's, he'll fix your horse. Come right to his house.
Starting point is 00:17:46 But he came to one of my improv shows, yeah. I have a team now and we have some shows randomly at different places. Sorry, what does that mean, I have a team now? This guy doesn't know anything about improv. And is that class just like a team? No. Or were you like, I'm starting a team?
Starting point is 00:18:01 I formed a team with other people that I had met through class. So you're the president? No, Price is also on the team. I formed a team with other people that I had met through class. So you're the president? No, Price is also on the team. My good buddy Price. And we... Don't talk about your friends. So sorry.
Starting point is 00:18:11 I edit out all mention of friends. No one cares about your friends. No friends allowed. But we have a few shows. We did The Pit. I think we're doing Ethel's coming up. And we'll be doing some other venues in the city. So is the class done?
Starting point is 00:18:24 No, I'm actually in another class This is the third level. It's like the big final level So I'm taking that simultaneously while I perform as an independent team and you got a scholarship After playing two levels that you don't have to pay for this third level of the course. I can just hear people laughing What are you500 in the hole at third level? Just need one angel investor. I just need one angel investor.
Starting point is 00:18:50 I thought you said one Asian investor. Why does he have to be Asian? Anyone, anyone, please. Anyone. So the team that you made, that does not make money yet. Will never make money. It is musical improv. How are they going to make money? Busking?
Starting point is 00:19:07 I didn't know if you sold tickets to improv shows, right? Even in small theaters. Eventually, if you produce your own. If you produce your own show. So you do what? Open mics? Is that a thing or do you have to book times ahead of time? It totally depends, but it'll be like somebody will kind of put together a show and they'll
Starting point is 00:19:26 pick teams to be on it and they'll ask around, like, who wants to perform at this show? And you can be like, my team does and are you, do you fit in? But until you do like your own super popular production show and you have like a steady gig, like every Friday we perform at this theater yeah you don't make money I guess that's the trick it's like finding a group of people big enough that will endure improv for that long yeah it's tricky yeah really little paper yeah pay for it yeah continually yeah you really don't know like the whole world man it's culty well I'm just asking yeah I know I'm just asked Ross was here he'd be very upset upset. I feel like I knew more about this when I was 20.
Starting point is 00:20:06 For instance, Mary Lou, she's got one of her, Mary Lou's on a ton of great shows. I'm talking about your friends. But she's got Mamma Mia but different and they do different iterations of Mamma Mia as like a funny musical improv thing. Or maybe it's scripted. Who started your team? You? Were you the captain?
Starting point is 00:20:27 No. It was a friend from class who was like, should we make a team? And I was like, how big is the team? Five people. I think he wants to know, is there a hierarchy and are you the leader? Who is the leader? No, no, no. Five.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Okay. Are you the best? No gods, no masters. We hire coaches. Is that the name of the team? No. You hire coaches? What's your name? The name of the team? No. You hire coaches? What's your name? The name of our team is Horny.
Starting point is 00:20:49 So when we come out, we go, Hey everybody, we're horny. Okay. That's funny. And that joke, they laugh every time. Yeah. Hit or miss. Hit or miss.
Starting point is 00:21:01 That's half the battle is choosing a name that will make someone like Kate laugh. She loved it. If you get one person in your three person audience, you nailed it. But if they don't know your name, it just seems like a lame thing to say. Well then we also say like, hey buddy, we're horny and our team name is horny. Oh, just really clarify. We'll double down.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Explain the joke. That's the best way. Even less fun. It's good when a joke gets continually less fun. Yeah. Yeah. Like improv. Five people.
Starting point is 00:21:32 So do you think you'll add more people on slowly over time? Like is your typical improv team? Seems like your. I think he's spinning for a role. I'm just saying. Did you go to six? As my kids get a little older, I have more free time. I think musical improv is the place for me.
Starting point is 00:21:48 He might be ready to get horny. Do you want to be horny? I want to be horny. Do you want to be horny? Yeah. Let's get horny. Maybe you could join. Five people.
Starting point is 00:21:59 We're not a post. OK. I just wondered if you did performances. Yeah. I found out all this. Yeah, follow me on Instagram. I'll probably post about it if you ever want if you did performances. Yeah. Yeah. I found out all this. Yeah, follow me on Instagram. I'll probably post about it if you ever want to see one. What's the Instagram handle, horny?
Starting point is 00:22:09 No, follow me on Instagram. Oh, I thought the team doesn't have an Instagram? You have to have their own Instagram. Not yet, we just made this team. Oh my God. We're so, we're babies in the world. How are you supposed to make money if you don't have an Instagram?
Starting point is 00:22:20 It should be horny. You sound like my dad. It should be horny improv. Horny improv. Yeah, horny improv. Horny improv. Horny improv. Yeah, horny improv. Horny improv. Horny improv.
Starting point is 00:22:28 Horny music. Just the kind of people you want. Just going to check if that's taken right back. That's actually a great idea. I know. You should get 10%. Amy. Horny improv dot biz.
Starting point is 00:22:39 Get down to biz. Speaking of horny business, you have arrived at Elven Ruins in the middle of the Shutterwood. Oh, I love ruins in woods. Love a ruin in a wood. A good ruin in a wood. Especially Elven Ruins. Yes. They've been around a long time.
Starting point is 00:22:57 They're more mysterious. More mystical. You spent a couple months, it feels like, under Riddleson Manor, exploring this addition that Dr. Riddleson has made to his family home, these left in disrepair, funneling all his money into moonstones and building this underground lair. There was a lecture hall with demons. There was a room full of books and tomes and journals and letters and research. There was a room with a summoning circle that a strange fish-like whale greeted you for apparently at least the second time.
Starting point is 00:23:36 There was a prison. There was a vault behind three doors where you fought this strange creature, the Salmon Car, that apparently Dr. Edelson grew out of a hand that he found when he woke up from the missing moment. And you also found directions to Lichgate, where I think it was I. Sanden, the cartographer, noticed that when he went to talk to Dr. Edelson once, he was looking at a map, covered it up. Sanden, curiosity getting the better of him, went afterwards and saw Lichgate question mark in the shutter.
Starting point is 00:24:09 Would you know where that is? You think, hey, let's go to Lichgate, see if that's where Riddle son is. So you leave, you get there, you see the Elven ruins in the distance and four armed armored people come out three men and one woman Marcus Eileen George and Ducky. Oh Ducky! I wrote their names out I was making sure you remember. Marcus is the spokesman for the group and he seems very very calm and cool. Hello travelers what are you doing here? And you're like oh, we're just just looking at the ruins. It's like well turn around GTFO He's cool. He's not putting even his hand on his weapon. He's just like
Starting point is 00:24:58 Please you went to like a holster. I saw you. I saw you make a gun And I saw you make a gun shape on your fingers. Get out of here! And eventually you mention Riddleson, they all seem surprised that you know the name Riddleson. He's like, one moment please. Walks back into these ruins, comes back out and says, the doctor will speak with you. Follow me. The doctor will see you now.
Starting point is 00:25:23 The doctor will see you now. It's a good name for the app. Oh, I'll forget it. Sydney, write it down. Email it to Dr. The doctor. Yeah, got it. The doctor will see you now. And let them know how your friend Price is doing it in Proff. Keep them updated.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Just give you a list of my friends while I'm at it. Price is wrong. Let's go to a map here. Oh, so I guess it's not gonna be diplomacy. Damn it! There should be diplomacy maps. It's never diplomacy maps. It's always fighting maps. Boundary, crack that code. Diplomacy battle map. One tent, four people. They all walk into the spires oh wow oh boy follow us come on oh jeez oh that's weird this looks come on everybody but there's a map I'm frightened isn't it we can feel the danger as soon as we see the map oh wow
Starting point is 00:26:19 right this way okay come please here I come come on is this we were open air is this yeah, are you walking? I just walk through these stone structures some of the walls have collapsed I mentioned last week finds crawling up and over all overgrown and They bring you forward Until eventually you see overgrown and they bring you forward until eventually you see a couple of things.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Oh, this must be the gate here. You see the gate. Hold on a second. I'm not walking past any of them. What was that noise that Kate made? Kate's character. Did you see something you weren't supposed to see? Kate's character can see something we can't. Oh, I'm further up than you are.
Starting point is 00:27:07 Kate sees Dr. Rood's. I see a bald man. I want to see. He's scary. He's alone. Oh, he is scary. Oh no. We let the guards surround us.
Starting point is 00:27:17 I'm moving back. That was foolish. I didn't. I'm back here. I'm back with you. No. It's all right. I'll walk up. We're just going to talk walk us. I'm just behind Zephyr
Starting point is 00:27:29 Be normal, why are we being weird? I haven't seen him in a while. Here he is. Oh He looks friendlier now Sorry about your Veins in your head turned like purple and he's got like glowing veins and I said this is like what you're watching and or Just like imagining it's just like they have is his own talking about like Palpatine and everything. It's like remembering that like this is a man who was transformed into a vampire demon. Everyone's just treating it like it's normal. This is like same thing. It's like, I don't trust this guy anymore. Look at him. Do you trust this guy?
Starting point is 00:28:00 Is that him? No, I don't trust him. Is that an even better picture? Is that the old picture? No, this is a newer picture. Is that an even better picture? Is that the old picture? No, this is a newer picture. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:28:08 That's what he looks like. The first picture truly makes him look like the enemy of the whole adventure. Like the very first picture we saw, he's like, ahhh! He's like screaming and purple lightning, it seems, is like blasting off of its head. Making a very mean face. But look at his full body one. He looks pretty awesome. Sorry, the purple eyes with like what looks to be purple blood.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Yeah. Like, he's got like a bow. Oh, yeah. The purple blood is all over his white outfit. Looks like he's wearing some sort of dress. Like a butcher's apron. Here's the original Riddleson picture from episode one. Yes, yeah, he's making a...
Starting point is 00:28:42 Yeah, oh, okay. Look at them. I don't know villain, why I ever trusted him. We said it, we joked about it in episode one. Yes, yeah. Oh, OK. Look at that villain. Why I ever trusted him. We said it. We joked about it in episode one. We were like, whoa, you did not describe him correctly. He's an intense dude, and he has, you know, deviant things just like all of you.
Starting point is 00:28:57 You know, you've had these deviant manifests. I don't think this was an original condition, these purple veins and purple eyes on his head. Maybe the artist took some creative liberties. I don't think this was an original condition, these purple veins and purple eyes on his head. Maybe the artist took some creative liberties. But here, finally, 80-something episodes later, stands Dr. Riddle. Riddle is just like he's got a bunch of shit in front of the archway. You see this giant gate about 12 feet tall. And he just sort of nonchalantly looks at you as you're coming in and goes back to work. He takes off his gloves and and says, I can only hope you follow clues better
Starting point is 00:29:45 than you follow directions. Didn't Alwyn ask you to await my return? Pause. We turned him and we hit pause, so the start menu comes up. And he's just like this. I put down my controller. I was ready, I'm ready to fully go into the lie here.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Yeah. But there's one thing. What? When we saw that like shimmering Osoyo representation that he made, remember. Yeah. He said we felt like we were being watched. So I'm not sure if he had eyes and nose
Starting point is 00:30:25 that we were down there. Right. Okay, what if he does though? We're lying to each other. Sure. Until someone reads. I'm gonna start with a lie. Might as well lie. I'll start with a lie. Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Unpause. Zoom. Dude. You might be good enough to be in Sydney's improv. Yeah. Could you sing? That looked really good. Are you horny? Hope to kick out the prize. There's only room for prize anymore.
Starting point is 00:30:47 There's only room for one. There's only room for one. He's gonna be crushed. Did Alwyn not ask you to await my return? He did, yes. I'm sorry, Alwyn made no mistakes. In fact, he was very hesitant about us leaving the manor at all, but we were concerned for you, Dr. Riddle-son.
Starting point is 00:31:04 It had been several days and you had not returned. We thought something may were concerned for you, Dr. Riddleson. It had been several days, and you had not returned. We thought something may have happened to you out here. No, no, I'm quite fine, thank you. Your reports from your travels, I know you've been quite busy. Oh, yes. We have much to discuss with you. And you have a new traveler with you as well? Yes. Howdy, I'm Geck Muck.
Starting point is 00:31:30 Pleasure? Your report. Oh, we found out a great deal of things. He's looking around at the bodyguards. I'm just standing here. Oh. What? They're insorcelled. Oh, right, probably.? They're ensorcelled.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Oh, right, probably. So you keep saying ensorcelled. That's a great word. It's so funny. He found one word and he just keeps soaking it. I've never heard ensorcelled in my life. And now I feel like over the course of the last like five episodes,
Starting point is 00:31:59 you've said it like every episode. Well, because I think it perfectly describes what's happening, right? It is, it's great. I think it's a better word. I think enve describes what's happening. I think it's a better word. I think invegald sounds dumb. I keep forgetting invegald. Source hold is a better word.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Invegald. In source hold. So he looks around, he suspects that this might be the case. He looks back. Is this a safe place to speak, to discuss what we've found? Oh, quite safe. Excellent. Well, we are very eager to speak with you,
Starting point is 00:32:26 Dr. Riddleson, we traveled a great distance, we even passed through a few gates ourselves, and we've learned a great deal. There's great danger involved in all of this, though I suspect you already know that, you seem to be even bored by my conversation now. Yes, it seems as if you've been quite distracted. Always boggles my mind why people would let distractions
Starting point is 00:32:56 get in the way of progress. I'm right here. Don't talk to me. Talk about me like I'm not here. What? Oh, he said boggles. I'm sorry. Carry on. He always boggles my mind.
Starting point is 00:33:12 I was like, you're a distraction? I'm afraid I don't know what you mean, doctor. We have been quite on the case for the last several weeks. I mean, if you're talking about Skywatch and what went on up there, I can take some blame for that. With the Smiling Wolves, it slowed us down a little bit, but I'm happy that I was brought back.
Starting point is 00:33:38 I'd never met other, she looks around too at the guards, Gatewalkers. Zephyr is glowering at him, thinking about the picture that he drew of her in Val and not saying anything. He just looks up at you. My parents loved distractions as well. Countless galas and fundraisers they would have
Starting point is 00:34:02 on their riverboat, literally throwing money away, instead of using it to increase their knowledge or their stranglehold on this town. My solution to that problem came to me in a dream, and the very next night, I watched my solution come true Is that boat burned on the river? I knew it Well, go ahead and roll for initiative. Just more to tell you. Absolute parent murderer.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Oh, he's gonna, yeah. He's definitely going to attempt to kill us. Patricide and matricide. You see, I learned firsthand at a very young age the power of dreams. I spent half my life trying to find a way to project my mind into the dreamland so I could truly rise to power in
Starting point is 00:35:08 this world. And it was that research that brought me to the Iodaris, just like this one. This is where I stood, studying this gate on the night of the missing moment. When I walked through, it was not the Dreamlands on the other side that I found. But when I returned, I came back with the knowledge and the power to enter others' dreams, extract what I need, and enhance my powers beyond mortal comprehension. beyond mortal comprehension. You have done well, but you are but food to me now. I was wise to let you grow in power as I did, as I will take special pleasure in relieving you of all that which you have gained thus far. However, our work together ends.
Starting point is 00:36:10 Now, roll for initiative. Fudge. Roll, ricker, roll, ricker, roll, ricker, roll, ricker, roll for initiative. Initiative. So I guess, Joe, you're probably right, he probably saw. Uh, it is, it's very strange. Like, why not, why not just... Why not believe us? No, why not just lie to us for a while, get us back to his place, lobotomize us, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:36:38 Like, I don't know what's going on. Maybe he thinks he's gonna capture us here? Um, weird. He's not gonna capture us. I'm definitely gonna die surrounded by his armed guards. I don't think... You don't always say that. I mean, can't he just, like, take our brains? Can't he just take our heads and get what he needs from us? Maybe... He need us alive at all? I don't know that he does.
Starting point is 00:36:58 Yeah, that's interesting. Can he look into our memories after we're dead? Curiously strange. Let's find out. What'd you get for initiative, Brotheramius? Brotheramius gets a 23. 23. Sorry, 25. What an idiot.
Starting point is 00:37:14 25. 25. Zephyr, what'd you get? 30. What is so funny about it? What a funny initiative. What a hilarious initiative. What a funny initiative. 30.
Starting point is 00:37:24 We're all 30. What a hilarious initiative. 30. Rolled 30. Gnome Bard. 29. That's a gnome bard! What'd you get, 22? I wish I had character art. 29.
Starting point is 00:37:40 I forgot you still don't have character art. I bet in his window it just says Gnome Bard. So mean. Sure it does. Oh, that's amazing. And Buggles? 21.
Starting point is 00:37:53 21 for Buggles. It said Gnome Bard. He has a name. Ever since you came on this show 30 episodes ago. Okay. Seems Dr. Riddleson is done playing with his food. Before this starts though, I would like to use my battle cry. Close the door. Okay, so Riddleson, I can't see Riddleson. So I think he's going, which one is Marcus? Which one of these guards is Marcus?
Starting point is 00:38:27 Marcus is upfront. Okay. So he's going to like his he's going to look at Marcus and just say, I'd like to introduce you to a friend of mine. That is a 30 against his will DC. 30 against his will DC is a success. Nice. Oh boy. Frightened one. What was your initiative? Frightened one. 29.
Starting point is 00:38:57 Oh, amazing. Smash me. But the fright, what we learned this from another combat, the frighten doesn't stack, right? Like if I do Dirge of Doom. Well, all the other from another combat, the fright doesn't stack, right? Like if I do Dirge of Doom. Well, all the other ones would be frightened. It doesn't stack. But it does not stack.
Starting point is 00:39:10 But it wouldn't get a medicinal fear. Yeah, okay. But he has a chance to crit. Yes, yes. All right, very cool. It is Dr. Riddleson's turn. Uh oh, let's just pop one on the John here. Edward Riddleson, man. Uh oh. Let's just pop on the John here. Etwood Riddleson.
Starting point is 00:39:26 Man. From episode one to here, this is a big one. It's so rude. It's so rude. So rude. Like start off an adventure path. The quest giver is the big, is not the big daddy. He was our quest daddy and now he's the big daddy.
Starting point is 00:39:41 Yeah. Exactly. From quest daddy to big daddy. I'm gonna write that down. There's your episode title. Other name of the Big Baddie. Yeah, exactly. From Quest Daddy to Big Baddie. I'm gonna write that down. There's your episode title. Other name of the episode, wow. Improvise a song about that. There's so many names for this episode. I already forget the first one.
Starting point is 00:39:53 The Doctor's in. The Doctor's in. The Doctor will see you now. The Doctor will see you now. The Doctor will see you now or Quest Daddy. From Quest Daddy to Big Baddie. It's like Bullwinkle.
Starting point is 00:40:05 All the episodes had two titles like that. Reaches out towards Zephyr, perhaps remembering. No, stop it. A little wry smile out of the side of his mouth. Ew. Yeah. Give me a will save. Will save.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Stop that. He did. Yeah. That's going to be a 21. Oh, fear me. No! Will save. Stop that! He did! Yeah! That's gonna be a 21. Oh! Fear me. That's a fail. That's poop. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:37 A couple things are gonna happen. You are frightened too. I am. And you take... Jeepers! So it's a lot of dice, you can stop now. Would you just get a few dice? Excuse me? 32 points of mental damage.
Starting point is 00:40:56 Oh, we gotta go. And you're frightened to... Go, go, go, go, go, go, go. As he casts Phantasmal Killer on you. Oh! Oh no. Vision of you. Oh no! Vision of Death! Oh no.
Starting point is 00:41:07 That was two actiones, and then for his third action, he is going to, he's going to create a little distance and kind of come north towards the gateway. It is now Zephyr's turn to respond. Frightened Two took 32 points of mental. What do you do? Zephyr takes a little bottle out of her side purse. Says gin. Says gin, but when she drinks it,
Starting point is 00:41:49 an aura happens about her that's orange, and it was a potion of fire retaliation lesser. So anyone that hits me gets fire damage. Yummy. Cool. So two actions. Last action, I guess I'll get into stumbling stance from there. And get ready to fight. Oh, baby!
Starting point is 00:42:11 Gnome bard. Yuck. Who could that be? Kick of the muck. It could be me. All right, so first round, two can play at that game. She's going to cast her Dirge of Doom, and I did, what did I do last time?
Starting point is 00:42:30 Like a welcome to the jungle yell? You're coming! Yeah! You're coming! Yeah! This time maybe she'll do like a death metal pig squeal. So like a, booyy, booyy, booyy, booyy.
Starting point is 00:42:41 Just like a, booyy a something terrifying. So Dirge of Doom, everybody in. Do you wanna move? Hold on, yeah. I thought it was a bigger emanation. Let me see where I'm at. It's 30, right?
Starting point is 00:42:53 It's 30, I thought it was 60. You'd have to be behind Buggles to be within 30 of Riddleson. And I do wanna get to him. Yep, so first I'm gonna move. Yeah, to Buggles. All right, so you move up. No, you'd have to be behind Buggles, like from where you were... Yeah, to Buggles. All right, so you move up. No, you'd have to be behind Buggles, like from where you were. Oh, to the other side.
Starting point is 00:43:09 I see, I see. Hey. All right, so you move up to and behind Buggles, okay. Hugging the wall and Buggles, and then she lets out this kind of terrifying shriek. Dirge of Doom, 30-foot emanation, enemies in the area, Frightened One. Period. End of story.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Period. And they cannot reduce their frightened value below one while they remain within 30 feet of me. All right. So the one that's already frightened just remains frightened, extends the duration to your round as opposed to just Kate's round and then everybody else just Frightened One. Second action. I am going to sing my Cour sing my courageous anthem. If you feel that's good but it gives you the plus one status bonus to attack rolls damage rolls and saves. Third action I moved saves against a lingering performance. Fear effects and I will do my lingering performance to extend my
Starting point is 00:44:01 courageous anthem. So let me roll my performance. That's gonna be. Oh, hold on a second. We had talked about this. You might wanna do rallying anthem. That's what I was gonna ask. That's why I was pointing to you. Yeah, to boost everybody's ACs because remember.
Starting point is 00:44:19 Yeah. But the other one gives you boost to damage. So it's. Yeah, but only Zephyr really Needs that? Does attack rolls like that. I took that potion, which will help. OK, I mean, I can I could go either way. I can do rallying.
Starting point is 00:44:31 You also get a plus one on rallying to saving throws in general. That's what I'm saying. He is going to be casting some horrible shit. Yeah, the phantasmal killer. I wish I had gotten it out because that one, specifically the other one, courageous anthem is fear effects. So that would have helped you. But this one is a plus one to any saving throws and a plus one to AC.
Starting point is 00:44:48 So instead I'll do Rally and Anthem. A plus one to AC, plus one to saving throws? As well as resistance equal to half the spells rank to physical damage. Oh, that's cool. Yeah. So it's a cantrip two. It's a rank two. So you get resistance to 1.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Everybody will get resist- right? No. It is? Doesn't it level with you? It's a cantrip? Oh, so 4. Sorry, so resistance 2. To all physical damage.
Starting point is 00:45:16 So this is for all my friends. Nice. This is for all my friends. Thank you! And that's gonna be... 27. So... Thank you, and that's gonna be 27 so
Starting point is 00:45:28 Against our the class which I think it's a regular 24 right it's a regular success. Yeah, so three rounds, okay? Sweet guys all get a what is the bonus? I wasn't listening plus one to AC and saving throws and to DR against physical attack. Oh huge 2d are against physical attack. Oh huge This is that's some good bar chip right here Yeah, like every enemy debuffed every ally buffed in one round. That's some good good bar chip. Yeah human priest human Weird to hear your own character like that. Yeah, it really is. I forgot I was human You can hear your own character like that. Yeah, it really is.
Starting point is 00:46:02 I forgot I was human. Okay, with all of them, oh man, with all them frightened and Riddleson moving into a very convenient position to write, what were you thinking? What was I thinking? Ramius is going to blast off a divine wrath. So he's going to smite down all of these followers in one fell swoop because
Starting point is 00:46:30 so if he can center it in such a way that both Riddleson and the guy all the way at the bottom are 20 feet away from the center. So everyone is within. Everyone is yep. Cool. So it's one square. Aren't you glad you didn't hang back? Yeah. And so, boom! This thing goes off, and I need, I believe it is Fortitude saves from everybody. Okay, we'll start with Riddleson. Riddleson rolled a 20. Oh, sweet!
Starting point is 00:46:59 Bail, right? Very bad roll. Sweet! For the good doctor. Wow. And the other ones rolled, going around the horn here. Nine. Oh!
Starting point is 00:47:11 Gotta be a critical fail. That's a critical fail! 15. Ooh, are you serious? Critical fail. Nine. Oh! Critical fail!
Starting point is 00:47:18 Oh my god. And 21. And a regular fail. Wow. Oh my god. Dude, this is insane! This is the best day for Joe. I'm so used to everything being so powerful.
Starting point is 00:47:30 I know, please let me not roll shitty. Please let me, ah! Ah! Woo! I rolled 10, nine, nine, eight. Oh my god. Wow. Oh my god!
Starting point is 00:47:39 Wow. Oh my god. Wow. That's 36, okay. So the fumbles take 72 points of damage and They're sickened to and slowed one. Oh my god. All right divine wrath and explosion of the keepers fucking hatred for these kind of people just boom Explodes out in white light.
Starting point is 00:48:05 Oh my. Okay. Spirit damage, spirit damage. Holy shit. They're very souls. I need to look at something. That's nuts. I'm gonna blow my nose.
Starting point is 00:48:13 Cut, cut. So wait. All right. A bunch of shit happens, okay? As you target everyone with this, one by one, all of shit happens, okay? As you target everyone with this, one by one, all of these soldiers, Marcus, Eileen, George, and Dougie, they like, as you're casting this, they transform.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Their armor starts turning into skin, like it's all going inside out. It's all an illusion? Their face melts away, and what you are left seeing is four creatures that look like this. Oh! It looks like a Riddleson alien baby. Oh, it does look like an alien.
Starting point is 00:48:53 And describe it to our audio jobs. It looks like the creature from Romulus, the tall alien, the child. Have you guys, do you guys know what I'm talking about? Yes. It looks like the skin is. It looks kinda have you guys yeah, I'm talking about yes It looks like this it looks kind of like that yet has the elongated cranium on its body Yep, and it's very plain skin. It's long. It's totally naked long limbs very thin kind of Kniepo ish This mouth that almost seems fixed in like an opening with no teeth and then this long purple tongue almost down to its knees.
Starting point is 00:49:30 Coming out of its mouth. How much damage for the failure? The failure is 36 points of damage. Critical failure is 72 points of damage. So the two that critically failed immediately die. Yeah! Oh yeah! Bloon out! That's awesome. Critical failure is 72 points of damage. So the two that critically failed immediately die. Yeah! Bloon app!
Starting point is 00:49:47 That's awesome! Oh my god. I thought, I said the other two was 36. I thought three critically failed. And Riddleson. No, there was a... It was 9, 9, 15. That was also a critical fail.
Starting point is 00:49:59 Was a 15 a critical fail? So then three of them... Oh my god. Instantly annihilated! Okay. Awesome. And then the other, Riddleson and the other one take 36 points. 36 and our second one. So then three of them instantly annihilated. Okay. Awesome. And then the other, Riddleson and the other one take 36 points.
Starting point is 00:50:08 36 and our second one. Wow. Oh my God. Holy shit. I will, I will. We could not wait to fight this guy. We're up to God. Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:18 And second one. Fantasmo killer this. Yeah. For real. Holy shit. He's like, by. Yeah, for real. Holy shit. He's like, by the way, I learned this from Osmond Zorius. That damage roll is insane. I just wanna keep looking at it.
Starting point is 00:50:35 Just wanna keep staring at it. Holy shit, you wiped out three of these creatures. That's insane. Wow. That's so crazy. Do you have any actions left? Yeah, with my final action, I will, let's see, final action, I'll cast Guidance on Zephyr. Awesome.
Starting point is 00:50:54 Oh, actually, oh, I only have one action. Well, Buggles is going next. Yes, oh, Buggles is going next. Yeah. No, it's two actions. I wanted to see if there, I can't find it. A one action version where I can treat your frightened, which would be very cool.
Starting point is 00:51:10 I can do that now, but it does take two actions. So, um, final action, I will do a guidance on Zephyr. I'll also- Guidance to offset the frightened. I only have it for one more round. It went down on my last turn. Okay. Great. Okay, guidance on Zephyr. It went down on my last turn. OK. Great. OK, guidance on Zephyr.
Starting point is 00:51:27 You took out three of these things, but you left one. Yes, but he's sick. Blech. Sick. And he closes on Buggles and Arameus. And we'll be back right after this one break. Oh, god. Ah.

Starting point is 00:53:03 Oh! You know what's so funny is I rolled the shit out of this die before we went live. 14, 15, 18, 14, 15. I'm like, I gotta stop. 20, 20, 20. There's my 20. You wanna see this 20?
Starting point is 00:53:14 That's a live 20 right there! There's my finger, I see that 20! Hi! Uh. Now, uh. Is that 20 brought to you by Norse Foundry? It sure is. It's upside down, but don't count it out.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Alright, so it's gonna be double damage. It's gonna be double damage, no name. 20 points of slashing. Okay. And then the last attack, oh no, he moved and attack attack. That is his turn. Now it's Buggles' turn. Buggles, this thing is right next to you. Alright, Buggles is...
Starting point is 00:53:42 He's going to cast Fire Shield on himself. And he's going to cast Fire Shield on himself. And he's going to raise shield with his third action. Nice! Raise shield, with the third action, and with three of those bodyguards gone, we go right to round two! Oh! It's the good doctor's turn. Mmm. Mmm. He lost some of his buddies here and he is sick and frightened
Starting point is 00:54:10 Clearly you've grown in power No matter I can do my work to you right here I don't need a lab anymore and he closes on Zephyr now and more and he closes on Zephyr. No. And Zephyr- Keep your hands off of her. As he goes to stab you, as he walks toward you with the gate in the distance, a dormant gate,
Starting point is 00:54:32 his appearance, everything about him changes as he comes up to you. And right when he gets next to you, he no longer looks like Dr. Riddleson. He is the embodiment of your greatest fear. Oh. What do you see? Oh, my god.
Starting point is 00:54:51 What does she see? Her face. Probably somehow, like, who is she closest with right now? I mean, she's gotten pretty close to Gic, just like a vision of Gic dying or a vision of Brother Ramius or Buggles dying. Oh. I think her fear is like a vision of Gic dying, or a vision of Brother Ramius or Bugles dying. I think her fear is like another one of her crew, after seeing them die, drop dead.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Witness things. Like you must morph into one of- Just Bards again, just like, oh. You just see them- Morph into one of you and then just like, the head falls off. It's almost like you're pulled out of the scene then for an instant and you're alone somewhere
Starting point is 00:55:23 and as he reaches you you just see your Companions getting obliterated one by one. She's just alone And then you feel cold steel enter your chest Natural one John ice. Oh also was that like a mental effect? Because I keep forgetting I have four Lorne. You're as cold as ice! It is a mental effect.
Starting point is 00:55:50 What does four Lorne do? He should have been wearing his Yeti costume. I get a plus one of saving throws against some motion attacks. All right, there's no save, it just happens. All right, tell me what happens. What a brutal one! This is a magic fumble.
Starting point is 00:56:01 It is? Let me see. Yeah, I would call it magic. Yeah. So this is a range of touch. It is? Let me see. Yeah, I would call it magic. So this is a range of touch? Yes. Good to know. He comes up to you and stabs you with his dagger,
Starting point is 00:56:11 but you see all this other stuff go down. All right, this one from Max M. in San Diego, California. Hey, Max. Okay. Hey, Max. Is there anything I can do? Okay, this one is, I'm telling you, something's moving and it ain't us! It ain't us!
Starting point is 00:56:26 Your spell befuddles your senses, making it difficult to tell friend from foe and real from imaginary. Okay. Your spell fails, make a will save. So this would be against your AC. Okay. Will save against your AC. Pretty good roll. You have a plus one right now.
Starting point is 00:56:45 34. Regular success. Okay, no other effect. So he's just confused for a second and your spell just fails. So if he had failed, he becomes dazzled. If he critically fails, he becomes dazzled and stupefied. Oh, that would have been a spell. For a spellcaster, it'd be amazing. Thank you Max M. Great job Max.
Starting point is 00:57:08 I'm telling you something's moving and it ain't us. It ain't us. Love that line. Even on failure you take 11 points of mental damage. And you take two points of fire damage. Okay. Oh. God what a penis roll for him.
Starting point is 00:57:22 And that's his turn. That was a two action vulnerability. And Zephyr, you are now standing next to him and that scene of all your friends dying, adding to the pile of people that have already died, going back to your old friend back in your village, Rhi goes away and Dr. Rudelson is standing there. I'm so fucking pissed at this guy.
Starting point is 00:57:45 I've got fear in his eyes. He tried to show me all my friends dying just now. And then he just completely farted on his own spell, so that was funny. Ah! But yeah, so thank you for being right in front of me now. Because now, instead of running up to you, I can spend one action, inner glow, harmonize self
Starting point is 00:58:03 with a focus point. So I immediately gain back 24 hit points. Wow, oh, amazing. So let's get that. And then you made a melee or you, look, wait, stunning, stunning, stunning, wait. Cut this. Cut this, cut this.
Starting point is 00:58:27 If an enemy hits you with a melee strike, that wasn't a melee strike. No, because he missed. So, I'm gonna do Flurry of Blows. Before I do that, I get a free faint check with my new feat. So let's try. Natural 20.
Starting point is 00:58:49 On a faint. I don't know if anything. No. So faint 2e critical success. Let's assume it's a hit. We got to we got to look at that though. So that was a deception check against my perception DC. Let's look at that first. So my perception DC is 27 so
Starting point is 00:59:09 Total that's gonna be 34 so that is a critical success on a faint you throw your enemies defenses against you entirely off The target is off guard against melee attacks that you attempt it against it until the end of your next A success would be like you were off guard to both of my blows from Thurio blows, but now you're off guard to me. And all next round. And all next round. But just for you.
Starting point is 00:59:33 Yeah, awesome. So. You guys fucked this board. Oh my God, we've been waiting for this. Dude, this is amazing. He picked the wrong group. He did, but he didn't realize, like we basically, wait, we absorbed all of Barnes's power.
Starting point is 00:59:45 That too. So he was not prepared for this level of resistance. Maybe. He was so cocky with his gloves. All right, so- Slowly took them off. What an asshole. So with these, you are off guard.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Gosh, he's finally getting there. Like a 34 for the first hit. Hit, not a goal. Oh, don't lie. Even off guard? Even off guard. And for off guard, right? And hit. Hit. Not a call. Even off guard? And second. And the second one's a 21.
Starting point is 01:00:10 Miss. So for the first one... Fortitude save. That's a one. 24. That's a fail. You're stunned one. Oh shit. Wait, let me just make sure. That's a fail. That is a fail. Oh! That's a fail. Stunned one. You're stunned one.
Starting point is 01:00:25 Yeah! Oh shit! Oh my. Wait, let me just make sure. Your DC should probably be 25. Oh no. Your Frightened one. No, DC 24, so you hit it.
Starting point is 01:00:33 24, sorry. If it hits you. Damn it. Okay, whatever. Second, Frightened. I can't have everything. Off guard. But you did reduce his saving throw from Frightened, right?
Starting point is 01:00:43 Yeah, it's all. Because it's in Foundry. It's all in Foundry. So that's 14 points of damage. Okay. And now I'm gonna... Make him look like a fool. I feel like I wanna draw him away from everyone after also after seeing that vision.
Starting point is 01:00:58 So she's going to skedaddle over here hoping that he follows. So you go behind him in the direction of Lich Gate? Yes, by the gate. Okay. Gic Muck? Gic Muck, everybody. I see you hiding under there.
Starting point is 01:01:11 Gic is under the ledge of the building. It's so cool on the map. Yeah. All right, Gic? According to the map, you cannot see the doctor somewhere. I know, but I don't think that's true at all. I think there's like a pillar there that you're technically behind.
Starting point is 01:01:25 I'm just under something though. Yeah, because like Buggles and Ramius can see him on Foundry, but... He's right there. Oh, there you are now if you move five feet. Would you allow me to say that I can see him? No. Because the map says you can't. Yeah, but the...
Starting point is 01:01:37 Are you saying Foundry's foolish? It just doesn't make any sense. There's something on the map that you cannot see. But he's directly in my line of sight. He... If I move on the map, there's nothing else that you cannot see. But he's directly in my line of sight. He, uh. If I move on the map, there's nothing else that's blocking me. Well, you're getting out from behind that promontory.
Starting point is 01:01:50 It looks like you're under something that is like a lip out. Imagine it's hanging her. That ruins my whole turn of what I wanted to do. Really? Why, you have to sustain the Dirge of Doom? No, I- Just let it go, man. I was just, no, no, the Dirge of Doom is over now.
Starting point is 01:02:04 Right. But I wanted to- No, wait, yes. Yeah, the lingering composition is on your plus rallying cry. That's it still going I guess I could just attack this Alien dude instead of Riddleson, but I wanted to attack Riddleson well you need three actions. Why attack him? Yeah, I wanted to do something. I'll do it to this alien dude, okay. I'm gonna do by bonemont My bonemont bon mo my bon mo and mo mo mo dude, okay, mo mo Say I say Hey
Starting point is 01:02:37 Hey you with the tongue. Hey purple tongue. Hey, she's just like trying to get its attention She doesn't know if it speaks common. She's just like trying to get its attention. Waggle that thing over here! Stupid. Uh, then first action. What a beautiful word. First action, so I'm gonna roll diplomacy against your will DC.
Starting point is 01:02:58 Okay. Uh, where's my diplomacy, okay. Little diploma against my will dick. Well, well, I rolled a natural one. You just bone mowed yourself. I really bone mowed myself there. You really bone mowed that turn. Let's look at Critical Failure for Bone Mow, because I have it here.
Starting point is 01:03:18 Your quip is atrocious. And it was. Wow, Sydney, you played that so well. You take the same penalty an enemy would take had you succeeded. Oh my god. This ends after one minute or if you issue another bon mo and succeed. What is the penalty?
Starting point is 01:03:32 I take negative two to my perception and will save. Oh no. Oh man, if he comes after you with a will save. Oh no. If he gives you a vision of death. Damn it. Yeah. Yeah. God damn it.
Starting point is 01:03:45 Stupid idiot. All right, fine. Dang it. I'll tell you what. Embarrassing. That is exactly how I would feel if I got on stage at one of your musical imps. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:58 I'd do my line and I'd be so embarrassed with myself. Yeah. That my will saves would be fine. You'd be vulnerable to someone with a multi-level marketing scheme. Yes, exactly. Like, how about it, Phil? I should just get into this door-to-door sales thing. After a show.
Starting point is 01:04:14 I'm sure it's going to work out. I better get in now. After a show. Let me take your meter reading. It's like, okay. You could sell me so much Tupperware after a show, like so quickly. Here's my checking account number. All right, so then.
Starting point is 01:04:26 Man, I really bombed. I bombed up there. Dang it. That didn't work. She feels a little confused and bad about her quip, and she starts kind of giggling. She's just like, I don't know. No.
Starting point is 01:04:43 I don't know. And she's just going gonna reach out her hand and cast Laughing Fit at this creature as she herself. Well, Nelson happens in an improv show. Starts laughing. Laugh at me. Laugh, laugh at me.
Starting point is 01:04:55 What's the save? Please clap. DC 26. No, but what's the save? Will, sorry. Will. 23, fail. Fail. Fail.
Starting point is 01:05:05 So it becomes slowed one and can't use reactions. Genus. Wow, love a good slowed one and can't use reactions. Love a good slowed. This horrible creature, I imagine it's like. Ha ha ha ha ha. Have you guys ever tried to laugh without smiling? That's what this creature would be like.
Starting point is 01:05:23 Ha ha ha ha ha. Ha ha ha ha ha. That's what this creature would be like Almost the exact sound I imagined That's the sound of Hurt kill it so funny Now wait a minute Zephyr, you took your turn. Yes. And Gek took her turn, so no one's frightened anymore. I am not frightened.
Starting point is 01:05:49 Right? All my guys are no longer frightened, including Riddleson. Ramius is, I think it's just gonna say exactly what, uh, exactly what I just said about the, you know, choosing the wrong group. So I think he's just going to, he's gonna slowly walk toward Riddleson he's just ignoring this thing behind behind us and he's gonna take a step up toward Riddleson and he just slowly walks toward him and his expression darkens just looks across at him and he's like you've chosen the wrong group. This was a mistake.
Starting point is 01:06:26 You are a fool. You will not receive any more power. Your greed, your avarice has brought you to your end. And he's just going to, whoo, try to put him on the ground with this dark magic. Oh, yes. This is a huge thank you to Professor Eric. So when I took
Starting point is 01:06:49 The hell is it called? God damn it. It's right on to my cast down And I said whenever I cast heal on an undead and it does any damage I can cast them down I missed the point that you can just prepare harm which like Remus had not normally done before. Oh yeah. But if I prepare harm as just a first level spell, even if it doesn't do a lot of damage, you can still put them on the ground. That's cool. So I'm going to cast down.
Starting point is 01:07:16 Cast his ruin upon the mountainside. Yes, so that is a will save. Will save. Okay. Will save. I think I'm gonna crush it, but we'll save. Will save. Okay. Will save. Think I'm gonna crush it, but we'll see. I've been rolling. Shitty, I'm sticking with this die.
Starting point is 01:07:30 Rolled well. 34. Ugh. That is a success. Not a critical. You take, let's see. Did you not walk up to him, just near him? I just took a step, yeah, so I'm still that distance away.
Starting point is 01:07:49 And he just, boom, puts him down. So, yeah, you're gonna take six points of void damage. And you are prone. Oh, yeah. You are prone. Boom. So only on a critical success there, don't get knocked prone? Yeah, so yeah! Oh, hell yeah! Knocked prone, boom! That puts him down the ground. So only on a critical success there, you don't get knocked prone?
Starting point is 01:08:05 Yeah, so for cast down, it is, if you damage a target with harm or heal, the target is knocked prone if it takes any damage from the spell. Hell yeah. Man, so you can just prepare a- That's a total Sith move. Right, so it's like level one harm,
Starting point is 01:08:22 and like, it is kind of dark considering Ramius, but he's not you know He he'll do what it takes, you know to get the job done At least in this case and I feel like you've seen this guy and he's anger at this guy the portrait of Zephyr The opening of all these heads the manipulation of these people the the way that he was casting these You know this ritual against his own servants, he's disgusted by him. He just, boom! Puts him on the ground. Puts him on the ground.
Starting point is 01:08:49 So that's my turn. He's prone. He's prone. He is sickened. And now he is off guard in that prone position. So funny, you probably visually in the party look like maybe the weakest person. But you just put down everyone and then knocked him down with a bat. You just killed like three quarters of the people on the field.
Starting point is 01:09:06 It's like actually getting into high level clerics. Yeah, high level clerics. Which I've never really done. Scary. Yeah, if you were to party like this and you see like a tall skinny guy with no muscles. Like if he can do that. Fuck that guy, I'm not going near that guy. I'm not messing with the rest of them.
Starting point is 01:09:20 They're keeping him around for some reason. Exactly. Alright, this dude is slowed. He's gonna take two attacks on Buggles and see what happens here. First attack, 27. That is a hit. Against your fire shield. It's gonna be 15 points of slashing damage.
Starting point is 01:09:39 And you take seven points of fire damage. He's eating that fire while he's hurting and he's gonna do it again and misses with a 15. And now, Buggles, you may retaliate. Okay, so the Kulukhan is released in this moment. Oh, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Oh! Oh! Okay, so that is a 34, that is 34 to hit. 34 to hit is a critical hit. Cause he's prone? No, he's attacking this creature. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 01:10:18 I mean, lately, all the Kulakan does is crit. Yep. Kulakan is absolutely on fire right now. Kula crit. Nice. With a K. So like the Kulakan is released, like this cloud of fire like appears around him, around the fire shield, and he just like lashes out, reaches out with his little claws and like
Starting point is 01:10:41 grabs the guy around the throat and this fire just pours into his skull. He goes like, ha ha ha! Ha ha ha! And does 60 points of damage. Ha ha ha! And he is dead. Yeah. Shhh!
Starting point is 01:10:56 Just sizzles into a fiery corpse. This is so awesome! Ha ha ha. And he drops down and turns to Riddleson And he says make peace with your gods. You are next Troy you want to voluntarily take the frightened condition? I really wish I had more guys left. That's the best boss fight ever.
Starting point is 01:11:21 I wish I had more guys left. That's the boss fight ever. Uh... Uh... Uh... Uh... Uh... Okay, okay. Four more aliens come running in from out the room.
Starting point is 01:11:31 Yeah, right. Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, is going to crawl one step forward up to Brother Ramius. And as he does, he transforms into your greatest fear. Now, initially I was thinking that like, you just see this wall of flame and see like, hands and arms crawling out of it towards you, like you're reliving the fire at the Abbey. But now I think that that's not your great fear anymore. Please, what do you see from the ground?
Starting point is 01:12:11 I think he has cast it down. Boom! And as soon as he hits the ground, he gets up and starts crawling. And he sees Gaius. He sees his brother, and he has hurt him, which is like the exact thing that he feels that he's done his whole life. He's felt guilty that he hurt the guys.
Starting point is 01:12:27 You have that like vertigo moment, like the ground draws away from you. Right, exactly, he's far away, and I've casted him off this cliff. I'm the one that pushed him, right? Like, and he just feels like, oh no, guys, I didn't know it was you. Boom.
Starting point is 01:12:43 We're both kind of balding. Both kind of balding. Maybe someone mistook Riddleson for my brother. I roll another natural one, I'm leaving. It was not a natural one, it is a 29 to hit. That is a hit. Couple things are gonna happen. First, you're going to take eight points of piercing damage.
Starting point is 01:13:05 It's not so bad. All right, who's next? Not bad at all. And then you will take 21 points of mental damage. Oh, God! This nightmare takes hold. You take the piercing damage from the knife,
Starting point is 01:13:22 like in your foot, he's like, God ah just stabs down, but this shock does mental damage to you Let's see. I wish I could have just. Crawl and that's it. More than five feet away from him, but I had to I had to have that cinematic moment where I walked toward him, you know. Yeah. Yeah. It was worth it. All right, Zephyhyr you have cast him You have he is well. He's already he's still off guard because he's prone now. He's sickened. He's lying on the ground You didn't see this. I mean you saw your friends dying, but now he just looks like a sad old man
Starting point is 01:13:58 Sad old man. She also walks right up to him, and as she takes her steps, her limbs start to like, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup, bup,. Titan, smash this dude! Please don't. I'll cap. I rolled a natural three. Uh-oh. Cap it. OK. Ugh! Forget it. It's gone.
Starting point is 01:14:29 It's gone. Huh. Huh. Huh. Come on. Come on. Huh. Huh.
Starting point is 01:14:33 Huh. Huh. Worth it. Huh. Whoa. 34. Oh! Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:39 Let me see if there's any other plus ones anywhere. Oh! Because you gave me guidance, but that was a round ago. Did you use it? I didn't. Oh, wait. I think it only lasted a round, right? Yeah. It lasted because you gave me guidance, but that was a round ago. Did you use it? I didn't. Oh wait, I think it only lasts. Yeah, it lasts until you go again. It used to be one minute. Because last time 34 wasn't a crit. I don't know if it's like 35. Real quick, read on guidance. Corration until the start of your next turn. Yeah, poop. Yeah, so it just ended. Totally forgot to use it. Pretty sure it's just 34. Yeah, I have rallying anthem on, so I've got everything
Starting point is 01:15:02 set up here. You should have done courageous anthem. What were you thinking? You literally told me not to Regular hit regular hit that's fine Okay, great. Oh my god. Wait, so if I hit I do an extra die of damage and also it's so weird Like you're pushed back five feet, but you're laying down on the ground, so you probably just like drag. Slide. All right, so actually, dice of damage. Blam. 15. I roll a one on one of those.
Starting point is 01:15:35 Oh, bummer. Yeah, so 15 points of damage. You're moved, and then you also, on a hit, you get 1d6 persistent bleed damage. That's huge. You push me as well? Yeah you get pushed five feet so I guess... Where do you want to push me?
Starting point is 01:15:53 Um one up on top. Like up diagonal it has to go away from you. Up diagonal? Okay. Yeah and so then he's not next to me which is nice. Great. Pathetically dragged along the ground from my limb kick. I feel like I walk off to him
Starting point is 01:16:08 and just like kick him in the gut. And now you're bleeding. He's beating this old man up. So that's two. No, Titan Swing is two and then I move. So that's all I do. No bard. You know what?
Starting point is 01:16:22 No bard. So rude. You can see him now. Thank you. Well he gives and he gives and he gives. I'm trying to decide if I should do, what kind of save I should do. Will or fortitude for what I cast. Or I could do a ranged attack on you, which I think might be better,
Starting point is 01:16:46 because you're pretty fortutinous. Off guard and second. So it looks like minus three to AC. So, yep, she's gonna walk up. Man, Gic is feeling pumped up by her crew, by her team. We're like all taking turns walking up and kicking the printer. Yeah, we're all just smashing the printer.
Starting point is 01:17:06 You see Gic reaches behind her flavor as she's walking and she rips a string from her lute and she just points to him on the ground and then whips this metallic string at him as she casts Livewire. And I am going to conjure up this sharp copper filament and electrocute him as I whip down and I roll to attack. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:32 Okay. Sick. He's off guard, he's prone. Sick. Ooh, he's about to get sicker. Call the doctor. He is a doctor. Oh shit. Call another doctor. He is a doctor. Oh shit. Call another doctor.
Starting point is 01:17:48 I'm right here. 32. I'm also a doctor. Hit. Sweet. You are going to... You're a brother. Said that so dismissively.
Starting point is 01:18:01 I'm doctor brother. Six electricity. Okay. And six slashing. 12 points of damage. Yep. Yep. To the good.
Starting point is 01:18:17 Sherpin. Why? Doctor. Brother Ramious. Dare I say the MVP of this fight thus far. Can he keep it going? That might have been the most damaging thing you've ever done since I played Pathfinder. It might be.
Starting point is 01:18:38 Like if you told those three dudes. No kidding. In a major fight. I mean it was like 160 points of damage and that was just the first three so cool It's like two almost 200 points of damage in one turn. That's crazy All right. So yeah, he is going to Yeah, he'll look across the riddles and dead at crawling away Zephyr just punched him slides across the floor as he's sitting back there. He's just
Starting point is 01:19:02 I pity you floor as he's sitting back there he's just I pity you he very calmly holds out a hand as holy light erupts from his hand and will attempt to sear through the good doctor this is an attack roll 29 29 is a hit nice 29 is a hit and he will do. Oh my God. Kate, I can't stop. I can't stop. Oh my God. Oh.
Starting point is 01:19:33 It's a big math. Oh. He does 21 points of fire damage. Wow. Does he have the unholy trait? No. Probably not. But yeah, so 21 points of like the holy light burns.
Starting point is 01:19:47 His evil skin. And he just starts to simmer and die. Then I will. Should we, I was about to ask before you cast more magic shit. Should we keep him alive? No. No. Well, I thought about it and then I was like, eh. Okay. Zephyr's gonna kill it. We'll try to kill him about it, and then I was like, eh. Okay.
Starting point is 01:20:05 Zephyr's gonna kill it. We'll try to kill him. This was Sydney asking. I know our characters, I think, would be like, no. He's not. We have all the information. My concern here is like, you're not talking about a low-level guard here that might know some stuff that you can easily tie up.
Starting point is 01:20:22 You don't know what kind of powers he has mentally, right?'t know it's kind of and also we found all the information I feel I don't think he's gonna tell us anything that we didn't find in his office and in his books that we won't find off his cold dead corpse what's in your pockets I'll tell you this at a meta level this is you what you're doing is what I always do yeah I'm always like, let's capture, let's question, let's capture the question. It never amounts to anything. No, ever.
Starting point is 01:20:50 Just ask him, just ask him. Yeah, so that's why I'm just going into Ramius' head here and he's just letting this guy go because he's sick of his shit. Well, not sick of his shit, but he's like so mad at the deception. I'm gonna use my last action and use a rank four heal on myself as one
Starting point is 01:21:07 action. Okay. And so he's just gonna heal 4d on himself. Buggles. Alright, Buggles, he yeah facing Riddleson now. It's like the cloud around him the aura turns dark and stormy and cold and he casts a frost bite on the doctor give me a fortitude save please 36 oh that's a critical damage just on the nose yeah no no that's that's that's that cleared it well I think it did yeah on the nose? Yeah, no, no, that's, that's, that cleared it. I think it did. Yeah. Oh really?
Starting point is 01:21:48 Yeah, it's DC 24. So then he is going to do a- Sorry, I was 35, but anyways. Cybers, please give me a reflex set. Okay. That's gonna be 28. Okay, regular success. A little swingy.
Starting point is 01:22:12 That is seven points of mental damage. Seven points of mental damage. And then the aura disappears and Buggles is returned and stupefied. Okay. Top of round four. It's Dr. Riddle's turn. I mean, I wish we had a stage here. He's like on the ground.
Starting point is 01:22:35 That's your protein. He's really good at this. He's down like this, he's spitting out blood. He's spitting out blood. Ah, Jesus. He stands up with his first action. He's just, brr, spitting up blood. He stands up with his first action. He's just, brr, spitting out blood. He's like, you don't understand.
Starting point is 01:22:50 You cannot kill me. I am a Sawyer's chosen one. As he walks towards the gate, you cannot kill me. And he takes this moonstone pendant around his neck, and without even looking at the gate, he touches the moonstone pendant to the gate. Boom! The moonstone ignites the gate,
Starting point is 01:23:16 and this blue light crackles from all the edges to fill it with an otherworldly glow, and he's just sitting there, glowering at you. And he nods his head as if to say goodbye. But before he turns towards the gate, you see this swirling blue light start to turn into half shapes of people floating around the gate. They look like just normal people,
Starting point is 01:23:41 but at one point you also see Bola Nagaso in like spirit form, and together all of these people reach out towards Dr. Riddleson, grab him into the gate, and you just see him get pulled in like this, as all these spirits are like pulling him in every direction and just, brrrah!
Starting point is 01:23:59 They explode him in the gate. What? As that happens, the gate goes back to nothing nothing and all of you get blown back onto the ground from this force. Nobody takes any damage. 74 points of damage. Oh no, shh. I am dead.
Starting point is 01:24:15 Blood splatters. Dr. Riddle's guts land on you. Let's brawl over it. Purple guts. And as you hit the ground, there's this moment of like that, that ringing sound where you're not quite sure where it's coming from. It's coming from your head. And you kind of black out for a moment.
Starting point is 01:24:33 And you're taken back to a moment in time. Specifically, Buggles, Zephyr, and Brother Ramious. You start seeing like a flash of memories. You see yourself arriving at Riddleson Manor for the first time. You see Dr. Riddleson smiling and greeting you. You see Lucky, you see Talitha. You see yourselves now underground in a lecture hall.
Starting point is 01:24:57 You see Dr. Riddleson on stage and he's teaching and he's looking at you and smiling and then you start to feel really sleepy. And then you're to feel really sleepy and then you're in this like hazy dreamlike state and your arms and legs are strapped to a chair. Oh my god, it was happening. Kind of like open your eyes and you hear this like, oh, this whirring sound. Oh no.
Starting point is 01:25:20 It's drilling into our brains. As Riddleson kind of turns around and approaches you with some sort of spinning blade, and you feel like you're in sleep paralysis, caught between this memory and the memory of the actual moment. And then right as he gets up to you with this neee sound, you feel the room grow cold, unnaturally cold. And in this half awake, half asleep state, you see a floating fish, whale-like creature.
Starting point is 01:25:47 Enter the room where Riddleson is performing this. And you now know this is Ogman Zorius. And it says something like, No, Riddleson, they are not ready yet. Let them out into the world so that they may grow in power. Follow them in their dreams, and I will instruct you on when to beckon them home. Then they will be ripe for the harvesting.
Starting point is 01:26:12 Riddles and smiles pulls away the worrying tool, then you just feel your body's being jostled and tumbled and tossed about, bumping like you're being thrown about. Your body isn't in control, and you're still in this like half awake, half dreaming state and you feel like you're on a cart being pulled somewhere like a carriage and then all of a sudden there are big strong bodies you look and now you recognize them as Marcus and George and Eileen and Dougie and they're like pulling you out of a carriage and
Starting point is 01:26:41 placing you on a hillside somewhere and then they're gone. The carriage, you can hear it kind of moving in the distance, and one by one, Riddleson comes up to you and speaks a whisper into your ear, and then you slowly awaken, and you remember that you've been walking for some time. As far as Leperstadt, to this hill, yes, you left Lepestadt a week ago following the doctor, and now you're walking and you crest a hill, and it's Brother Ramius, it's Bugles, it's Zephyr, it's Talitha. The opening scene of the campaign! Oh wow.
Starting point is 01:27:14 There's a low bridge below that crosses a stream on the other side of the hill, and just below that, a bustling caravanserai. A city built on the confluence of two streams stands in the distance in Dr. Riddle's size, takes out a black handkerchief and wipes sweat on his forehead. He says, I fear this is as far as I may accompany you. I have matters to attend to further east. And he smiles at each of you fondly. I have no doubt you can handle this investigation yourselves All my field researchers. I believe you show the greatest promise for uncovering the secrets of the world
Starting point is 01:27:54 And now you wake up and you're on the ground Dead bodies around you Riddleson scattered about a now dormant gate And we'll see you next around you, Riddleson scattered about a now dormant gate. And we'll see you next week. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Bitch.
Starting point is 01:28:10 I'll kill him again. I wanna kill him again. Oh man. Holy crap. Huggman-Sorius too, like, oh. Behind the whole thing. We're being so manipulated. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:28:23 No. No. I'm so hungry. I Oh my god. I'm so hungry. It's time to make your membership official.
