This week on the Glass Cannon Podcast, as Della's life fades from her eyes, her friends
must rally and strike back against evil.
By the power invested in me by the great township of True Now, the people of Shinnerman's Fortune,
and the small folk of Galarian, I sentence you to death.
But Uathash unleashes the full extent of his powers.
Oh no. I need you to
roll a will save.
Oh no!
That is a failure. That is absolutely a failure.
Are you sure? I am positive.
The battle with Urethash reaches its
bloody conclusion. For honor!
For justice! For the rose!
And the light!
Now. For honor! For justice! For the rose! And the light! No. What's going on, everybody?
It's your old buddy, your old pal, Troy LaVallee,
coming at you live from Philadelphia, PA,
because we are recording episode 130.
In fact, we just finished recording episode 130
in our stupid Airbnb.
Steps away from the convention center.
You know what?
I'm not alone today.
I'm with the whole gang.
Hey, guys.
What's up, Troy?
How you doing, buddy?
Oh, I'm doing great.
It's our old pal, Troy Levandia.
Everyone's old buddy.
And just a few minutes ago,
we would have been joined by the two guys
arguing about their car accident outside.
Ideal conditions today for recording a podcast.
We were going to say something because it was so loud we couldn't record.
And then we realized that they were probably in the mob.
They were like wearing these nice suits and stuff.
Silver suits with like purple shirts and ties and like gray hair.
Better to just let that play itself out.
But yeah,
we literally just finished
recording episode 130
so we know what happens.
How's our acting job doing
of being friends with Troy?
Is it coming off all right?
Oh, we've been acting,
we've been practicing at that
for two years now.
Well, I had an announcement
actually, Troy.
I thought it'd be fun to do
like an intro like this.
It's unusual.
I'm having a baby.
I wanted to let everyone know.
Oh my God.
Really?
What?
Are you serious?
Are you kidding?
It's a ball of rage and hate.
Oh my God.
For you.
Oh my God.
I almost want to give you
a bottle cap,
but I'm not going to.
You really threw me off there.
That's just cruel.
Awful.
Well, I got to say,
last night was our PAX Unplugged GCP live show.
We had probably 150 people in the audience, hundreds watching on the PAX 2 Twitch channel.
And I don't know about you guys.
I had a blast. Oh, I had an amazing time.
Such a blast.
The audience was incredible.
Thank you for everybody that showed up to watch it.
Thank you everybody that had little watch parties watching it online.
I know there was a Portland club
watching it together.
So cool.
I mean,
I got back last night
probably 2 a.m.
after the GCP hangout,
which by the way
was equally as fun,
if not more fun,
than the live show.
And I just sat here
and I watched it
and I was just smiling
the whole time.
It's just,
I don't know.
Is that what you were doing?
That's what I was doing.
I was trying to sleep
and I was like
blinding light.
Oh, and every once in a while, a laugh at his own joke.
But yeah, I mean, it was just phenomenal.
And a big thank you to Eric Mona for being on that panel with us.
He's just so wonderful.
That guy cannot help but give.
Not unlike me.
So that was amazing.
And I got to say, the last thing in the world i wanted to do today was
record this episode not that i don't love the show i just want i want to go to the convention
center it's 12 30 we're already late i want to get there i want to play some games but we had
to get down to business it's the holidays we're really busy we couldn't do a true gcp retreat
this year uh so we had to do it this way and i'll tell you what that is the most fun i've
had playing pathfinder in a long time.
It was a great session.
And I think it's because of that sort of reminder with an event like last night that what we're doing means a lot to a lot of people.
And we have a responsibility to put on a great show.
And I don't know, I just can't wait for you guys to listen.
So any announcements, or can we just get to the episode?
I have one, if you don't mind.
Sorry, Joe.
Are you having a baby too?
I'm having a baby!
Congratulations!
It's a boy!
Just remember,
I just want everybody
to remember that this week,
Thanksgiving week,
we are launching
our Every Friday Night Twitch,
which is going to start
this Friday,
November 24th
at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
One of us will be on
and that will hopefully continue every Friday going forward.
We always have a consistent Twitch that evening.
So set the time aside.
We will be online.
All right.
Well, there you have it.
We've already said enough.
Thank you guys for everything that you do.
Thank you for all the support.
Please enjoy episode 130 plus 21 Jump Street.
I do not often call myself out when I've made a mistake.
That is certainly true.
I made a grave grave mistake
he's going to turn this around
at the end of last week's episode
Joe come on this is serious
the character died
show some respect
I forgot
I made an error
mechanically
because
when Ur Earthash cast
Flames of the Faithful
on his Warhammer
if he then crits with that Warhammer
it does a flaming burst. So it's actually
giving me another d10 worth of damage.
And I rolled a 10. So it was
65 points of damage. I knew he was going to
turn it around. We're having fun!
Anybody who thought
for a second he was bringing Della back.
Sorry, that's not
Troy.
65 points of damage.
Yeah. You know, it all
happened so quickly, and our hearts
were in our throat,
but we have to think of the actual
scene here. Like, the first blow just
boom! Rains down
on the middle of her chest and has to like
stun her and knock the wind out of her.
And then the other one just comes down with two hands
and as it hits, explodes
in fire and just
capsizes her chest cavity.
And she falls
to the ground.
I've been thinking about how far
away Will is and
what the statue between them.
He just doesn't even know,
you know,
like I know.
And he doesn't know yet.
Maybe he hears a scream,
but.
Oh yeah.
With the way it's pictured here,
you absolutely can't see that.
Yeah.
The statue,
a huge,
huge statue is between Will and.
Presumably you would hear the noise and hear the flaming burst though.
Oh yeah.
Well,
he doesn't know either.
A little deputy Baron and Sir Will,
the only ones that don't know. Yeah. was thinking about being like don't know but i
was like i'm looking at the map and i'm i don't think he knows also you're toe-to-toe with a
stone giant and everything's happening really fast yeah i'm a little little uh busy right now
yeah just so yeah i was just so surprised when it happened so was Della I imagine were you
how close to full hit points
were you when that attack started
I'd have to look
I was pretty close though
yeah you were
I think you
I only taken like one hit
you were almost at max I think
yeah
you were like way up there
but between the
the crit and the
and the other hit
it was
it was pretty brutal
no
no dice
so stay away from Urathash
is the moral of the story
there's an object lesson
unfortunately it's a rather small story
and not a
a story 70 episodes in the making
but that's not going to hurt her there
well
you know in my defense Matthew
had you used
stone shape correctly on Atena
this wouldn't have happened
there's a lot of there is a lot of...
The punishment fits the crime.
There's a lot of discussion out there
that actually all I had to do
was make the stone walls a little thinner,
and even if I had read the cubic feet right,
I still would have had enough to make a wall around her,
and I only needed one turn.
Can we disagree you brought this on yourself?
Categorically not.
The punishment fits the crime.
He misreads 10 versus 1 feet, and you kill his character?
I know what I said.
Also, you kill another character.
Oh, right.
That's right.
Another character.
I'm sorry.
Yeah.
Just like in real life, that's punishable by death.
Why should we be any different from U.S. federal courts?
Can we just extend this?
Like, if Troy misread every email one of us sent, like, there would be a punishment for that?
Good Lord.
Oh, God.
Well, Urthas still has one attack left. Oh, God. Well, what's... Oh, God. Well, Urthas still has one attack left.
Oh, God.
So he turns to all of you that can see him and says,
I warned you not to stand against me or you would suffer.
Let this be a lesson to show you what will happen to the next of you
and he takes the hammer
and coup de grâce's Della
with another full blown
boom
right on the middle of her chest
can I ask a question
do you want listeners
this is Urthash
man
this is Urthashman. Man. Man. This is Urthashman.
Welcome to GCP Island.
This is Mr. Dollyman.
Dolly me banana.
Oh, sorry.
In the name of Minderhall, he strikes Adela one more time.
Adela, in your mind, you just hear, Della, Della.
You hear a voice calling out to you, Della, similar to the voice you heard back at the Temple of Fondara
when your mind was transported back in time to watch the ancient burial ritual
of Nimrith the Maker.
Della.
Della.
The voice
continues. Della.
Della.
Oh, Della.
Della,
Della, Della, my dear.
I'm so sorry I wasn't able to reach you sooner,
as I know you've been looking forward to seeing me.
I must admit, for as long as I can remember,
I've had a bit of an obsession for the necromantic.
And I'm always fascinated with this moment that you're experiencing right now.
The moment right before death.
Caught between two worlds.
But look at me.
You only have so much time left.
Please, speak your final words to me.
Does Della recognize the voice as, I'm guessing, its brander?
Its brander, yeah.
I mean, you imagine, like, as you're fading out,
your consciousness as well as your like
shadow walking abilities are all kind of mingled together and you can see
different planes all overlapping at once as your soul is being transported maybe
to the abyss.
So I have to imagine that in the process of that,
there's like just this moment of recognition.
She says,
Oh, Oh.
Oh.
I know you.
I've known men like you for a long time.
You take
and take and take
and take.
You just want to steal more life, don't you?
That's it.
My father was like, you.
You're fools.
You want more of this?
You want more of this world?
Well, let me tell you.
I've lived a long time.
A long time.
Too long.
And you're too blind or too stupid to realize what I found out a long time ago.
That this world is a
cruel,
dark,
and terrible place.
And if you steal all the good from it,
what are you living for?
Have fun.
Oh, man.
Well, Miss Narn, while I agree
with some of the things you're saying,
I think
that is why people like you
and I,
who possess such
unique gifts,
must advance
past our limitations,
seek eternal life,
and become living gods.
I have no interest in living anymore,
as long as people like you continue to win living gods.
What is this place we're in altogether, then?
Living gods, what is this place we're in altogether, then?
I don't mean to be rude, but your interests no longer interest me.
But perhaps we can speak more on this later, though.
We both have business elsewhere.
Goodbye, Della For now Goodbye
Oh my god
And it's the cave bear's turn
The cave bear continues running out the front door.
Oh, it actually is the cave bear.
Yes, it is.
I was like, that's a good bit.
And now it's Aram's turn.
Aram sees Baron jump down from the statue and sees Sir Will as well.
He cannot reach Sir Will this round,
but he knows Baron hasn't taken a ton of damage either.
So I think, well, actually, five, 10, 15, 20, 20.
You know what?
He can reach Sir Will.
He will run up to Sir Will. Nice.
He will run up to Sir Will and give you a charge off the wand.
Consensual wanding?
Consensual wanding.
Yeah!
So Aram is going to heal 1d8 plus 1 damage.
7 points of damage.
Nice.
That's great.
There you go.
Aram, the best NPC in the history of this show.
I am so nervous!
You know, I took a picture of this board last week,
my initiative tracker.
I think it's pretty accurate.
Either way, it is round eight.
You have a stone giant face-to-face with Sir Will,
and on the other side, you have Urathash
standing over the body
of Delanarn.
Baron Berenson.
Oh, Baron!
Oh my god.
Baron moves within 20 feet of the
stone giant to get a clear shot and says
Hold fast, Sir Will. The light
shall not fade from this plane today.
We will triumph over all.
And blast the giant.
Come on, natural 20.
There you go.
That is a hit.
Yes!
That is a total of 16 points of damage.
All right, all right.
Did I do a five-foot step to do that?
Can I continue my full attack,
or did I have to do 10?
I think you did a 10-foot step.
No, I think you did that, yeah.
That's it, that's my turn.
It's my turn?
I'm sticking with it.
I'm done cheating.
That's my New Year's resolution.
Oh, all right.
Nestor, whatever feelings you had about Della, I think it was complicated, to be sure.
But you are positive that he just killed her.
You're already not a big fan of Orthash.
Yeah.
It is your turn.
All right.
So Nestor, like,
no one can see him
probably close up
at this point,
but he just gets this
crazy look in his eye
and he starts laughing.
You fucking bastard!
You fucking done it now!
And full attack.
Multi-shot,
steadily aim, etc.
Oh, that is a
36 to hit.
Yes! We needed it!
We needed it!
Oh, that is 51 points
of damage.
51 points of damage.
Remember, take the DR off twice.
Because it's many shots.
Thanks so much
to the listener that pointed that out last night.
Someone was talking to me last night
and said, hey, you realize that each arrow
should get DR. I said, oh, fine!
Damn rules!
And second shot
is a miss.
That's a shame because that was good.
And how much of that was electricity?
That was 12 points of electricity.
No, no, 10.
10 points of electricity.
Okay.
All right.
Nestor just boom with the multi-shot.
So key.
It is now the Stone Giant's turn.
You know what?
Someone said to me last night after GCE Live,
Troy, why don't you ever use power attack?
And I'm like, I don't know.
I have a blind spot for Power Attack.
I don't even use it with my own characters.
But you know what?
This one's for you.
This is why we should never interact
with the fans in person.
Power Attack, two swings with a great club
on Sir Will.
I'm nervous.
Natural two. Okay. Okay. Second attack. I'm nervous Natural 2 Okay
Second attack
19
That is a miss
Thank you listeners
Remember where power attack is on
Any attacks of opportunity that you provoke
By moving away from him
That power attack stays on
It is Sir Will's turn.
Sir Will, I think
he might have vaguely heard Orathash's
speech in the background about this will
happen to you next. He's not 100% sure what
happened, but he's so focused
right now on trying to keep this
giant's attention. He's just going to go, here's
that gunshot, he's going to go total defense
and just try to tank this thing
through until Baron can kill it tank this thing through until Baron can
kill it. Tank it through
until Baron can kill it.
And Sir Will has closed him off.
He cannot get through without rolling an acrobatics
check to the rest of the altar.
So he's cut off by Sir Will.
Alright, so you're just going to make him
basically either kill you or
throw you off the dais. Over my
dead body!
With pleasure.
Whoa.
Pembroke the Potent, you began casting last round.
Yes.
What spell? So Pembroke suddenly out of nothingness is manifested a chittering, snittering, giggling,
snittering, giggling,
barking swarm of colobus monkeys
as he casts
the spell Mad Monkeys.
Mad Monkeys. Do you have
some explaining to do, Skip?
I don't know if I've ever seen this spell
in action.
Yeah.
So, it's a summon spell.
It's a third level conjuration spell.
It brings forth a swarm of screeching mischievous monkeys, according to the text.
I think they're probably actually squirrel monkeys, that would be my guess.
Like Aguirre, the wrath of God?
Yes, exactly.
They're swarming all over the raft, or in this case, Stone Giants.
So, yeah.
So it has swarm characteristics.
It deals automatic damage, and it distracts and harasses its target.
Nice.
So the swarm of monkeys appears on the Stone Giants.
Not on Earthosh, on the Stone Giants.
Oh, on the Stone Giants.
Okay.
I couldn't find a picture of a monkey here on Roll20,
so I'm using a fern.
Yep, that's equivalent.
Yeah, all right.
That is the botanical equivalent
of a swarm of...
I looked up monkeys
and three pictures of a fern came up.
Well, it was meant to be.
And it's not even one with a blank background.
It's like it's opaque. It's one with a blank background. It's opaque.
It's an opaque white background.
It's not even transparent.
All right, so six points of damage.
Question.
Yes?
Where it didn't move onto his face.
It just appeared in his face.
It was conjured.
Yeah, conjured onto his face.
It doesn't get the...
Stone Giant doesn't get the attack of opportunity this time.
Not this time.
All right, so automatic damage.
Yes, and they get DC 15 Fortitude.
Fortitude?
I could roll a natural 1.
19, yeah. So, how much damage?
6 points of damage.
And Pembroke.
All four of you. All four
of him. Four Pembrokes.
Four Pembrokes is going
to...
I will say how
awesome it is on roll 20 to have mirror image
because you can actually double your mini.
All right, so he's going to move
up closer to
the action with the stone giants
and his compatriots.
He's still invisible.
And
yeah, he doesn't have a clear line of sight, so he's just going to hold there.
All right, so right now we've got Sir Will Aram for his part.
The spider monkeys, Baron, and Pembroke all harassing and blocking off the stone giant,
while Faraza is flying, and Farin is standing there
and you don't even know what side of the fence
she's on at this point. Nestor Coyne on top of the
statue. Urthas is still a good
two rounds maybe or a double
move away from kind of being right up in
Pembroke's grill. But there are multiple
Pembrokes there and Pembroke
as a summoning spell, you are still invisible.
Yes. So he doesn't even know you're there.
Well he, I thought. He can see invisibility, can't he?
Oh, that's right.
Wasn't that how we got into this sticky wicket?
Thank you for reminding me, Amazon.
Damn it, Matthew.
Never interact with the fans or Matthew ever again!
That's our new motto.
Motto.
Motto.
Motto.
Motto.
Motto.
Motto.
Motto.
All right.
It is Faraz's turn.
Probably one of her last.
Faraz is going to delay.
Delay?
Find delay industries. All right. It is Ur Faraz's turn. Probably one of her last. Faraz is going to delay. Delay? Find delay industries.
Alright, it is Urathas' turn.
Three more attacks on Della.
By all means.
We're going to be able to spread Della
on our breakfast toast.
He's pureeing her.
It's not my fault.
He's the one doing it.
Don't talk about that. I'm starving.
I'm sure
fetchlings would not make a very good
meal. They'd probably be pretty gross.
Pretty mealy, I'm guessing.
Why are we talking about this?
We should stop talking about this.
Alright, Urthas steps up to the bottom
of the statue, the bottom right
of the statue. Oh boy.
And
casts a spell in the direction of one Nestor coin.
Oh, no.
I need you to roll, I believe, a will save.
A will save.
Okay.
Oh, boy.
Oh, boy.
Oh, no.
That is a failure. That is absolutely a failure.
You sure? I am positive.
He casts
command on you. Oh, shit.
And the command is...
Show.
Okay.
All right.
And it is the caveman's turn.
Actually, Farazza will
act. Okay.
Farazza is going to circle in, and she's going to cast Mudball on Urathash.
It's a ranged touch attack to blind him.
Oh, wow.
Okay, ranged touch.
Does he get a save after the ranged touch?
At the start of his turn, he gets a reflex save to shake off the mud.
Oh, cool.
That's why I delayed.
Unfortunately, I probably should have just gone.
But regardless.
17 against Touch AC.
17 against Touch AC is a hit.
All right!
Yeah!
All right!
All right, so it's automatic.
So from Della's...
Della.
Too soon.
It's from Faraz's talon,
this ball of mud appears,
and she just flings it at Urathash's face,
and it just covers his face, and it's sticky, and he's blinded.
And each round at the beginning of its turn, the creature can attempt to reflex saving throw to shake off the mud.
Wow, so now for a full round until it gets back to him, he's blind no matter what.
Yeah.
The blinded condition.
His AC went down.
You know his AC goes down by five?
Yeah.
Wow, that just doesn't seem like it's right.
But yeah, blinded is no...
Let's see what blinded actually is.
Always trust your lab.
Oh, minus two to armor class and loses the dex bonus to AC.
There's the minus five.
Minus four penalty on strength and dex-based skill checks.
Wow.
And yeah, this and...
Oh, and all creatures have total concealment.
As a reformed blind person from the Vault of Thorns,
I can tell you it is no fun.
Let's see how many episodes Earthash has to deal with it.
All right, Cave Bear continues running out.
He's now gone.
He started a family in Yanderhop.
It is Aram's turn,
and Aram is going to cure light wounds on Sir Will again.
And it is max healing.
Get out of here.
Nine points of healing.
This is huge.
Okay.
All right.
And now there are seven charges left on that wand.
And it is round nine.
Maybe, maybe, maybe.
Baron Ashpeak.. Oh, man. Maybe, maybe, maybe. Baron Ashpeak.
Come on, buddy.
The power of Taurag compels you to die.
That is a 17 against touch.
17 against touch is a hit.
That is for 17 points of damage.
Okay.
Second attack is a 19 on the die.
Natural 19.
That's a hit. Oh, boy. For another 17 points of damage. on the die. Natural 19 hits.
Oh boy. For another 17 points of damage.
Oh, dude. Dude. Nice.
Third attack is an 11 against touch.
11 against touch. Unfortunately, because of the monkeys and Sir Will, mostly Sir Will,
the bonus to cover does not hit on the third one.
Blah, blah, blah. Pop, pop, pop. Final damage, 18 points.
Wait, it doesn't hit the last one.
It missed.
Oh, it missed.
Oh, I know what you mean.
It's like you just did not even...
I was like,
I thought he was saying,
unfortunately for my character.
Okay, so let's retcon that.
And all you hear is,
patang!
As one monkey gets obliterated.
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
He's like, oh, no!
Grant was like,
no, Derek!
No!
Grant was just nodding as you were talking
and then he reached down and grabbed his D8
What's he doing? He rolled it and he's like
and that's another 17 points of damage
He never misses
I'm listening, I hear you, I trust you
as a human being
Alright, love it when you talk Troy
I did 14 points of damage
It is
Nestor Coyne's Toy Alright Nestor Coyne's toy.
All right.
Jump.
Nestor Coyne has been commanded to jump.
I think you could probably jump on the favorable side.
Well, yeah.
So he says that.
Yeah, that's true.
So the glazed look in his face, he jumps down onto the shoulder of the giant statue.
All right. All right. of the giant statue. Alright.
I do look at someone and he says,
You've got to be more specific in the future,
Mr. Oritosh!
You son of a bitch.
I'm giving you a bottle cap.
Oh, use it!
I won't use it here. His AC is lowered.
Oh, that's right.
But I'm going to take's load. Oh, that's right. That's right. Oh, he's blind. His AC's lowered. But I'm going to take one shot.
Oh, that is 31 to hit.
31 is a hit because of the blinded.
Yes!
Teamwork!
Oh!
25 points of damage, five of which is electricity.
All right.
25 points of damage, five of which is electricity.
Okay, all right, chip, chip, chipperoo on old Urathash.
Damn it, that was good.
I should have just been, come directly in front of me next turn.
Come within melee range of my hammer.
Lesson to all GMs, be specific.
It's like making a wish to a genie.
You don't want to get screwed over.
It's like a monkey's paw thing.
All right, it's the stone giant's turn.
Realizing that this armored tiny little knight on top of his armored wolf is too hard to hit with power attack.
Takes it off and
eschews max damage
for more precision. First swing
with the club.
Natty, 16. That's going to
be a 32 to hit. That's a hit.
Alright, so here goes all of
Aram's channels or healing.
This is going to be
pretty saucy damage. 18
points of damage.
2d8 plus 12.
Second attack.
Lower to hit, but use an old neon
green! 22 to hit.
Yeah, alright, that's a miss.
Just like bang off the shield.
Swings one way, swings the other and misses.
Oh, man.
I haven't got much time.
I just imagine Little Sir Will just, like, holding the total defense,
holding the shield directly in front of him, like hiding.
And it's just like, bang!
You feel it reverberating through your arms and your chest.
It's like when you hit the sweet spot and it hurts your shoulders.
Yeah, yeah.
All right, Sir Will, it's your turn to answer back.
Monkeys, everywhere.
Sir Will is going to swift action, lay on hands himself,
and continue total defense. All right, swift action, lay on hands himself, and continue total defense.
All right, swift action, lay on hands, continue total defense.
I was just thinking, does that monkey situation...
He gets six points back.
Whatchamacallit, does it prevent, like, hamper the Stone Giant's swings?
If he fails his fortitude save.
If he fails the fortitude save.
Ah, okay.
So Sir Will, you just laid on hands?
Yeah. Does that provoke?
No. Okay.
Alright. Pembroke,
still invisible, but you want to take care of the monkeys first? Yeah, the monkeys
will just keep
biting and nipping at him. Five points
of damage. Okay. And make another
fortitude save. Alright.
Here comes the fort.
Natural 20. Okay. Gets that out comes the fort. Natural 20.
Okay.
Gets that out of the way.
Dammit.
Probably not going to work.
So Pembroke is going to...
Nobody can see him except for...
Well, nobody can see him.
So he double moves.
And how far is this...
How high is this platform above the ground?
Above the ground.
I believe it's 15 feet.
15 feet.
Okay.
So he's going to jump down and take 1d6 points of damage.
Four points of damage.
Okay.
So you just see, like, four Pembrokes jump up.
You would.
You would if they weren't all invisible.
Oh, that's right.
Urathash sees it, and he doesn't care for it.
All right.
Oh, speaking of Urathash, it's his turn.
Tell me about my reflex save here.
DC 14. All right about my reflex save here. DC 14.
All right.
Not a gimme.
He has no dex bonus, though.
Yeah.
So it's lowered.
Natty 15.
Oh, man.
He's so good.
So the mud is off, right?
Basically, he shakes it off his face.
All right.
Standing where he's standing, he looks up and shakes his fist at Nestor Coyne,
like Mr. Wilton from Dennis the Menace.
Where are you?
Dennis!
And then...
Oh, boy, this is really tough.
Now, is that a free action, that reflex save I'm imagining?
I just went to check that, actually, and it is a good call.
Usually saves like that are... Free? Like, yeah, and it is... A good call. Usually saves like that are...
Free?
Like, yeah, free actions.
It doesn't say.
Yeah, whereas, like, escape artist checks to, like, get away from something, those are standard.
You can physically wipe it off as a standard action.
Oh, that's cool.
It's only a level one spell.
So if you have a really garbage reflex save, it's worth it to take the standard action.
I probably would have been helpful to tell you that at first.
Because you might have just done it.
Yeah, that would have been sweet.
Here's what I'm going to do. Urathash
points towards
Farazza and like
takes one
hand off the warhammer and casts
a spell at Farazza.
Farazza, I need you to roll a
fortitude save. Is that a good save for
Druids? She's okay.
Okay. Is she great?
Can I just ask a question?
No. Is this a fey or plant
targeted effect?
No. It is a death pain effect.
Just checking. That sounds
pleasant. Is this a poison spell
or spell-like ability? 24.
There you go.
You're not the only one who rolls daddy 16s without a This is a poison spell or spell-like ability. 24. Oh, you son of a bitch! Yeah!
All right.
Oh, that was one of his... You're not the only one who rolls daddy 16s without a ha-ha.
That was one of his best spells, too.
Oh, good.
Good, good, good.
What was it, just out of curiosity?
It was a spell called Howling Agony.
Oh.
That sounds like fun.
Wow.
Mechanically, it just really makes you weaker.
You're going to have to roll concentration checks,
get even harder to cast spells,
and you take a minus two to everything.
Howling Agony.
I wrote that at Six Flags once.
Linus is ridiculous.
All right, Urthash gets, he's no longer blinded,
so that AC's back up to normal,
and it is Faraz's turn.
In that same Talon where the mud ball appeared,
suddenly her Talon encompasses a small ball of flame
because Barazza's casting produced flame.
Oh.
Okay.
I'm pretty low on spells.
I'm working the level one spells,
but if I can soften her Earth Ash up for the others,
I'll just keep doing it.
So this is a ranged touch attack as well.
You're going to throw a flame at you.
And it breaks through DR.
Miss.
Because she misses.
Okay.
And the flame suddenly reappears in her talent.
Okay.
Oh, all right.
Even with touch AC, though, it's worth checking.
I know you rolled low for, like, a regular hit.
That's a 10.
That is a miss against this badass.
All right.
It is the bear's turn.
Bear's gone. I'm taking the bear off the board. We don't keep talking about him. It is the bear's turn. Bear's gone. I'm taking the bear off the board.
We don't keep talking about him.
It is Aram's turn. Aram looks
to Sir Will.
Should I conserve these
charges on the wand? No, use it!
Alright, he uses it on himself.
No! No!
You have to be very specific.
Alright, he burns
another charge on Sir Will.
Five points of healing this time.
Nice.
All right.
I believe it's round 10.
It might be round 11.
Let's call round 10.
And it is Baron's turn.
Baron's going to keep the assault going on this damn stone giant.
We got the big boss.
God damn it. I thought I was going to get through a whole episode without rolling off the table. the assault going on this damn stone giant we got the big boss
Without rolling off the table
My god, I turned to skid before record I like I'm gonna drop it really close and say well they never miss There you go. That's a hit. 18 points of damage.
Even though it's a physical joke,
in a podcast, it never gets old.
18 points of damage.
18 points of damage.
You've just been peppering me.
Oh my god.
You've got to be kidding me.
Critical threat.
Critical threat.
Critical threat.
You make me feel like a natural parent.
You make me feel.
All right, roll to confirm.
Critical threat, critical threat, critical threat.
Critical, critical threat.
Oh, my friend, I just poured you a big old glass of confirm critical.
Oh, my God.
We're going to a fan.
Times four, times four. Roll We're going to a fan critical.
Times four, times four.
We're all at d20 and d6.
So double damage is times four, normal damage is times three.
If for any reason it says triple damage, it is times
five, and I'm leaving the show.
We're going to go with lucky number
twelve.
Is that a lucky number? Lucky number twelve.
Okay, This is George
from New Jersey. Oh! I
talked to him last night! Get out of here! Yeah,
George Papadakis. Oh, George
from New Jersey. This is Pinioned.
The projectile
pins the favored arm of
the target to its side.
Double damage and lose all
actions requiring an arm until a full round action using the other arm is made to remove the its side. Double damage and lose all actions requiring an arm
until a full round action using the other arm
is made to remove the projectile.
Double damage?
Double damage.
Quadruple damage.
Wow.
Grant is now taken to rolling on the floor.
Get out the middle man, Grant.
He rolled a lot of damage.
That was a big, big damage roll.
That was a lot of dice, too.
Oh, my lord.
And I just had my dex modifier once, though, right?
No, each for each.
Oh, for each one?
Yeah, you got bonus every time.
First time playing Pathway?
Every week is my first time.
We corrected that rule roughly 108 episodes ago.
You guys want to do a roll-off to see who goes first?
72 points of damage.
So, yeah, you pin his arm to the back wall of the cathedral.
He's dead.
There's just an arm with a warhammer on it on the back wall.
No, a great club.
A great club, sorry.
And about seven monkeys.
And they just jump on his body like it's a bed.
Thank you, George.
Wow.
Well done.
That's a good one.
I like that one.
You have to use the other arm to pull out the projectile.
And then there was one.
Yes!
Oh, I feel so good now.
We're back in it.
We're in it.
Nestor Coyne.
All right.
He's looking right down at the top of his big evil head,
and he does a full attack, many shots, steady targets, deadly aim, etc.
Okay, that's a hit.
What is it?
Yeah, that's 33.
33 to hit.
I'll tell you what.
That is barely a hit.
I had a feeling.
Okay, that's...
Right now he's sitting at AC 32.
Oof. Oh, man. With the judgments Okay, that's... Right now he's sitting at AC 32. Oof.
Oh, man.
With the judgments.
So that's...
30 points of damage, six of which is electricity.
Okay, and that's the multi-shot, right?
That was the multi-shot, yeah.
All right, so 30 points of damage, six of which is electricity.
Okay, so, yep, that'll work.
Okay, and then second attack.
We'll see.
It's a miss. Okay. I'll tell you a, and then second attack. We'll see. It's a miss.
Okay.
I'll tell you a little story.
Earthash had cast Stone Skin on himself before the beginning of the fight.
Oh!
That gives him DR basically against DR 10, but it's on a ticking clock.
There's like 90 points of it.
And every time, 10 ticks away until it's gone.
That hit eliminated all of his DR.
So now he is just a normal, horrible, horrible creature.
It is Sir Will's turn.
Oh, man.
All right, so seeing this stone giant come down,
Sir Will turns.
He's going to say,
Oram, get off the altar! Behind me! And he's going
to move ten feet to his right,
turn around to face Orathash
across on the other side of the
altar.
Facing him on the other side of the altar.
And he's just going to say,
You find a wicked pride
in your giant size.
Well, let me tell you something.
In the eyes of the gods, in the eyes of Iomedae,
you are but an ant, and I have come to stamp you out.
And he smites evil.
Yes.
All right.
Oh, baby.
All right.
All right.
I'm scared.
I'm scared.
It is Pembroke's turn. The fall of Pembroke's. All right. All right. I'm scared. I'm scared. It is Pembroke's turn.
The fall of Pembroke's.
All right.
Pembroke is...
Oh, I'm sorry.
I'm so sorry.
I also wanted to...
That's where I dropped my lance.
Remember, I dropped my lance in that thing.
Can I just lean down from Lexington and pick it up?
I mean, he's pretty low to the ground.
Sure.
Like a little acrobatic-y move.
How about a ride check?
I'm going to say... That's fair. I mean, he's pretty low to the ground. Like a little acrobatic-y move. How about a ride check? I'm going to say...
That's fair.
I'm going to say ride check DC 20.
And I know that sounds high, but like...
21.
What's your ride bonus?
Plus 14.
I rolled a natural 7.
All right, so yeah, that is...
All right, so he picks up the lance, drops his sword, unfortunately, and will move into
that position.
Okay.
Okay.
All right. Pem that position. Okay. Okay. Alright.
Pembroke. Okay.
So the fern, first of all, moves double moves
towards Erethash.
60 feet. I'll give you
control of the fern. Okay. Oh, thank you.
So I don't have to deal with it.
Yeah.
I just wanted, like, this is one of those statements
I want collected somewhere. I'll give you control
of the fern. It would be good is one of those statements I want collected somewhere. I'll give you control of the fern.
It would be good for one of those.
All right.
So the monkeys, swarm of monkeys, speeding towards the giants,
and Pembroke starts walking up the stairs.
Wait, he jumped off, and now he's slowly walking back.
Yeah, he's slowly like, ugh.
He just needs to stretch his legs.
Ow.
Ow.
It is Ura Thash's turn.
Oh, boy.
This is one of those moments here, as a GM, as a player of this game,
where you just got to figure out, what do you want to do?
Which PC do you want to kill next?
Right, so many options, but they're all pretty far away.
And I will point out, there's a very tempting pile of monkeys.
There is a tempting pile of monkeys.
Oh, and those monkeys are rabid.
Yes.
And they're dressed very sexy.
Talk about small folk in the cathedral.
When you attack monkeys, does it, like a swarm rather, how does that work?
They're treated like a creature. It's like they have an AC
and they have hit points. Right, but I think you can only use
a bludgeoning weapon, right?
Half damage from any
weapon. All weapons. Half damage.
Yeah, he's got
better things to do than those monkeys,
but I don't see him
being able to
get to where I'd being able to get to
where I'd like him to get to.
If anything, the monkeys are a pain in the ass to him
because now he's got to move around the monkeys.
But that's what he does.
He's going to go...
I don't think the monkeys can
have an attack of opportunity, right?
They only threaten the square they're on.
If I'm not mistaken.
Yeah, I think that's true.
So he starts moving basically towards Baron and the other guys
and stands directly next to Ferrin.
Before he does his action, he turns to Ferrin and says,
Get them!
No.
No!
Oh, no.
Ferrin, no!
Don't do it!
And then he casts a spell on Baron. Baron, roll a will save. Oh, no. Farron, no. Don't do it. And then he casts a spell on Baron.
Baron, roll a will save.
Oh, boy.
Natural one for 11.
Oh, no.
Automatic fail.
Oh, no.
And the spell is forbid action.
Oh, dear.
You forbid the target a single course of action
which avoids to the best of its ability.
You may demand the target not take actions that fall into one of the categories.
Attack.
You cannot attack, communicate, draw, move.
He forbids you to attack.
And let's see how long that lasts.
It's just one round.
So, Baron, you cannot attack this round.
Got it.
All right.
He told Farron, get them.
It is Faraz's turn.
Faraz is just
going to keep flying around and toss another flame at Urathash.
Okay.
Natty's 16,
so that's going to be a 24 against touch.
24 against touch, that'll hit.
7 points of damage. Bypasses the That'll hit. Seven points of damage.
Bypasses VR if there is any.
Seven points of damage.
Yeah, that'll go through.
Hey, chip, chip, chipping away.
Wins the day.
Like they always say.
All right.
And she'll continue circling in the air.
Okay, Aram, he will just take a five-foot step.
Wait, is Pembroke okay?
Because you're coming up the stairs there, Pap. Yeah, he
just took the damage from the fall.
And he's invisible, right? And he's invisible, but
he can't
be helped. He can only be hurt.
Sure, so Aram's going to just try
to keep helping Sir Will.
Just a couple of religious dudes. I rolled a seven
on the die. Eight points of healing. Alright, awesome. I dudes. I rolled a seven on the die. Nice. Eight points of healing.
Okay, all right.
Awesome.
I shouldn't be letting you roll for the healing.
No, no thank you.
Let's keep this up.
All right, round 11, maybe 12.
Baron, you feel this weird feeling wash over you
where you're like holding the gun,
but you can't pull the trigger.
Well, in times of trouble,
Baron reaches to one of two things, either the Holy Book of Torag or the trigger. Well, in times of trouble, Baron reaches to one of two things.
Either the Holy Book of Torag or the bottle.
So he is going to pull out a potion, which I'm not going to tell you what it does.
You set up a gun.
You can roll a spellcraft check if you want.
DC's 9500, you big old jerk.
Fair enough. All right. Nestor's turn. Fair enough.
All right.
Nestor's turn.
All right.
Nestor uses spider climb to get back.
Actually, just come around to the other shoulder of the giant.
Okay.
But he uses spider climb so it looks real cool.
Yeah, yeah.
He walks perpendicular along the face, like over the nose.
And you can imagine the head of this Minderhall statue.
It's got that stone giant, like, elongated Easter Island head.
So it's flat on top.
Nestor goes up and over to the other shoulder.
And that is a 35 to hit.
Yeah, that's going to do.
That's going to do, Ness.
Okay.
That is 25 points of damage, six of which is electricity.
Nice.
Nice, Zapper.
Okay.
I'm scared.
Man, does he have a lot of hit points.
Man, have you guys taken a lot away.
It is Will's turn.
Sir Will! Sir Willamette!
Sir Willamette!
Alright, Uratash has made the
terrible, terrible mistake.
I wanted to ask you, is it possible as a
free action
to do a quick diplomacy check on Farron
to try to get her to not fight us for a second?
Sure! Alright, I just want to
quickly say like, Farron, no, don't listen to him.
His evil must not be allowed to rule these lands.
He's going to die here today.
Join the right side.
15.
I have a plus 12.
I rolled a natural 3.
Farron is kind of like, you know,
Vader at the end of Return of the Jedi.
Looking back.
Looking at Sir Will.
Spoiler.
Sorry, sorry.
Yeah, he's like, but then I'm going to be Keeper of the Forge.
Well, if we can make her Keeper of the Forge.
We're perfectly willing to negotiate. It is unclear how she feels about Earthash's command to her, and she's standing directly next to him.
But Earthash heard you say that.
Yep, so Sir Will, seeing that Della now is not anywhere to be seen,
has not come around, has not tried to flank Urthash,
he's going to put two and two together.
He's going to say, murderer!
And then he's going to issue a challenge, his cavalier challenge of the day.
So he's got the smite Evil and the challenge going. He is going to rear back
Lexington. For honor!
For justice! For the
rose! And the light!
He said he's going to charge Orathash
straight in.
And I want to hit so
bad. Yeah, you can't do a ride-by
because the statue's there, so this is going to leave you
right up next to him.
Uh, god damn it. Don't get angry. because the statue's there, so this is going to leave you right up next to him.
God damn it.
Don't get angry.
Don't go.
I see Matthew covering his face.
27.
I had a plus 21 to hit.
Oh, no.
I can never roll well. It ruins the story every single time I play.
The worst part is you actually went straight through Farron.
Oh, no.
Oh, dear Lord.
It goes Pembroke and then Urethosh,
who can now do a full attack on Sir Will and Lexington.
Oh, that was it.
I took my shot.
That was for all those Will haters out there.
That was plus 21 to hit, 3d6 plus 36 damage.
So what you're saying is that they should all be Joe haters.
Yes, yes.
Direct your hate in the right direction.
I'm sorry.
Leave Corsair Will alone.
I should have spent my bottle cap on that.
I should have done that.
Yeah, no worries.
I didn't even think of it.
I thought I'd hit, plus 21.
Yeah.
Actually, I guess I still have to roll.
Well, it's still 15, 16.
Yeah, I forgot.
He is so tough.
All right.
Pembroke, what do you got?
Well, the monkeys, first of all.
Of course, the monkeys.
And jump on him.
He gets an attack of opportunity.
Take the last train to Clarksville.
All right.
I'm showing my age.
26.
That's a hit Alright
So against the monkeys
Does a modest
23 points of damage
Okay
And is that halved
Or is that
It's bludgeoning
So I think it
All cuts through
No it's all
It's all weapons
Oh all weapons
Yeah
Oh so
Yeah then it's halved
Yeah yeah
All weapons
Alright
So 60
Okay Yeah so he's just like K's halved. Yeah, all weapons. All right. So 60. Okay.
Yeah, so he's just like,
kill the monster.
It's pretty good.
Yeah, Jesus Christ.
So most of my favorite monkeys are disintegrated,
but the rest of them jump onto him and...
And do six points of damage.
Okay.
And make a fortitude save.
Make a fortitude save.
Okay.
All right.
What's the DC? 14. I got to roll a oneitude save. Make a fortitude save. Okay. All right. What's the DC?
14.
I got to roll a one.
Okay.
I rolled a seven, which is right next to the one on the detail.
That's true.
All right.
Okay.
And now Pembroke.
Yeah.
Pembroke keeps coming up the stairs.
Let me ask you a question, Skid.
Yeah.
the stairs and mr. questions good yeah in all of Pembroke's wildest
imagination when he left his
professorship and went on this journey
to find more about the last resting
place of the whispering tyrant did he
ever think he would get into a situation
like he is in right now no I think well
I mean he's excited that he never
believed that he would be caught up
in something like this world
impacting quest.
It's just like, this is greater than anything
I could have hoped.
I feel lucky to be
here now
at this time. So yeah, but no.
Crazy. And he's had visions of his own death.
Is today the day?
Is this how it goes? Is this the end? What do you got? So he's going to And he's had visions of his own death. Is today the day? Yeah, it's like, is this how it goes? Is this the end?
What do you got?
So he's going to, he's out of spells, but he still has an ability called Acid Dart.
Oh, classic.
So he's going to fire one of those.
And that is a 17 against Touch AC.
That's going to be a hit.
All right.
All right.
And that is six points of acid damage.
Yep.
That's going to just sizzle right through.
Yep.
I will tell you what,
Earth Ash looks pretty, pretty hurt.
But now he's about to lay down some hurt.
You chose poorly, Sir Willemette Keswick.
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah.
Would have loved to hit that.
That would have been pretty nice.
First attack of three.
We all know what a crit does.
Times three crit with flaming burst.
Natty19.
Oh, man.
Every time.
That would be a 40 to hit.
Oh, my God.
So he's also plus 21.
Yup.
So he has the same as Sir Will.
He's a pretty good character.
Oh, wow.
First attack does.
And split the damage.
Why?
Because I have DR-ish.
Yeah, well, I'll just tell you what the damage is. You do the math.
21 points of damage. Oh, no, no fire.
Oh, I forgot about
the fire. Thank you. You know, it's 21 regular,
and then Flames of the Faithful, I think, is another
D6. Let me just make sure. Yes,
1 D6 of fire.
Plus
3 points of fire. Do you
take any of that? Yeah, yeah, I take all that. Actually,
you can add it together. It's not going to matter. Okay. It still has the same reductions. So, 24 points of fire. Do you take any of that? Yeah, yeah, I take all that. Actually, you can add it together. It's not going to matter.
Okay.
It still has the same reductions.
So 24 points of fire.
24 points of fire!
I'm sorry.
So.
66 fire.
Much math!
Okay.
And now it is going to be attack number two.
That is going to be a 29 to hit.
That hits.
All right.
So, ooh, very low.
19 points of damage.
Okay.
And two points of fire.
And the last attack.
Is he going to talk any trash before his last attack?
I just want to know that, Troy.
Are you going to say something real snarky to Sir Will
Who just laid down a challenge?
I want to, but I also don't feel like taking the extra time
To modulate his voice when I edit this
So he just nods
Really menacingly
Well played, Sir
Here it is
Natural 14.
That is going to be a 25 to hit.
Miss!
Yes!
Whoa!
Yes!
Ooh, baby!
Yes, and that would be a hit if it wasn't Smite Evil.
If Smite Evil was not on, that would be a hit.
Oh, the little boost to the AC.
Yep.
Or if that's just ba-boom, ba-boom,
and the last one just grazes off his armor.
Farazza. He lives another round.
Okay.
You know what? Farazza's just gonna
cast Mudball again.
On Orthosh. Mudball on Orthosh.
That's great. Oh, you got multiple balls.
I'm a child. Yes, you are.
14 against Touch AC 14 exactly
Nice
Okay so you're blinded until your next turn
Wow
I was thinking about doing it on Farron
But I didn't want to provoke her
Oh yeah
That's smart
You still don't know what side of the fence she is on
Aram's turn Aram's going to just delay for the moment Oh, yeah. No, that's smart. You still don't know what side of the fence she is on.
Aram's turn.
Aram's going to just delay for the moment.
Round 12.
Oh, man.
Might even be 13.
Lucky 13.
Baron.
Can we just really quickly check in on how the bear is doing with his family?
I just want to know how the bear is doing.
So the bear moved all the way to Yanderhoff, I think I said. He met a beautiful female bear.
They now have two cubs.
Aw.
And this all
in about 26 seconds.
And it's
Berryconic III.
They opened up
a BB&B.
That's good.
That's good.
And then the side says,
these beds are just right.
Oh, that's... So Baron will move within 20 feet of Urthush Which I believe will only net him one attack
I believe he has to take more than a 5 foot step
Okay make it count buddy
He says
By the power invested in me
By the great township of True Now, the people of
Shinnerman's Fortune, and the small folk of Galarian, I sentence you to death.
Inquisitor v. Inquisitor.
Oh, here it is.
Drop your hammer, boy.
And he targets his hammer.
Oh, he targets the hammer.
Oh, no way.
Fucking misfire.
Oh, no. I could misfire. Oh, no.
I could have hauled it from a mile away.
That was such a good speech.
That was a great speech.
I said drop it, damn it.
And it wasn't your skill.
The weapon malfunctioned.
Skid, how far did I have to move in order to get there?
I'm probably not going to take another shot.
I'm just curious.
What's 20 feet?
Yeah, you had to move up a little bit. Probably 10 feet.
But imagine, the previous round, his hand
was shaking at the trigger because of the forbid action
and now he tried to fire it, and I think
instead you drop your weapon. It's only fair.
It's only fair you disarm
yourself. I respectfully disagree.
Alright, Nestor, you are standing
literally on the shoulders
of giants, looking down at Earthash standing literally on the shoulders of giants.
Yeah.
Looking down at Earthash.
He is blinded by mud.
Nestor, you are a trained assassin.
Not only do you know how to kill, you know when the enemy is close to death.
I don't know.
Do stone giants bleed red blood and cracks in the stone?
Blood is just seeping out of seven or eight different holes.
Arrows stuck all over his body.
You look down at him and he is like wavering on his feet.
Roll to hit.
All right.
And I want to use my bottle cap.
Yes, yes, yes.
I wish you could see the view from here, Mr. Uritash, because it is fucking spectacular.
That's 32.
Because he is blinded.
That is a hit. I love you! Clutch MVP right there.
And he got sneak attack too, right?
Yeah. Because he's blind.
Right, you're in within range?
Yeah, I am.
Okay.
He's standing on the shoulders like shooting these arrows like straight down
into Urufash. Yeah, yeah.
That is
52
points of damage.
The arrow comes flying down
and I imagine it hits him
square between the eyes.
It goes
through the mud and you see
even past the brown glob of mud over his eyes,
a rupture of blood as Urufash dies!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah, yeah, yes!
Boom!
He hits the ground.
Oh, my God.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, come on.
And Nester comes, like, scampering down the statue,
and he stands over the body, like, stands over the face.
Sorry, how rude of me.
Permit me to introduce myself.
My name is Coin.
Nestor Coin.
Coin by name, coin by nature, as me old dad used to say.
And I just wanted you to know that it was me that done you.
You fucking muppet.
And he starts stomping on his mouth.
Like onto his teeth.
Teeth just shattering, flying off under his boot.
And there's blood and gums and bits of teeth and bone flying everywhere.
And he's laughing.
And he's like...
bone, like, flying everywhere.
And he's laughing, and he's like... Ha ha! Ha ha ha!
Ha ha! Ha!
Ha! Ha!
Ha!
Ha!
He just kind of, like, staggers back.
He's, like, kind of, like...
Like, looks around. He's like...
And he, like, kind of
collapses, like, on his haunches
against the statue, and he's just breathing collapses like on his haunches like against the statue
and he's just breathing
while all of you are standing there
just kind of like
having that same heart palpitation
shortness of breath
that Nestor is going through having killed
Urathash
you just hear
DONG
DONG
a loud bang you just hear... DONG!
A loud bang, like the sound of thunder,
echoes throughout the sanctuary.
Instinctively, you all reach up to cover your ears,
but it's too late.
All you can hear is ringing, like in a war movie,
you know, when the shock grenade... And they're like...
As your hearing comes back,
your eyes
are all drawn
to the forge.
A portable hole
closes up
behind a thin man
dressed all in black
who is lifting
Aggramosh, the hammer
of unmaking from the forge
where he just struck.
Oh shit!
Sir, will you
stare
at this man
who you must assume
is Brander?
He has the hammer.
And your mouth drops.
Blackout.
You hear footsteps in the distance, slowly walking.
Light comes up on a long hallway,
lit only by a small sliver of light from the bottom of a doorway at the end. The
door opens, and from our point of view, you can only see a man's legs, because it's the
POV of young Willamette Keswick. A voice speaks up. Willamette, so good to finally meet you.
Please, sit down.
Will does so.
My name is Dr. Forsythe.
We've been tracking your life for quite a while.
Did you know you were a very, very special young man, Will?
Will just kind of shakes his head no.
He's a child, but he's been brought up in the Keswick house
with the best teachers on how to act.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have a feeling you have little to no interest in going to a school for special halflings.
Am I correct?
Will pauses, knowing that he's supposed to be on his best behavior for the good of the Keswick name.
And doesn't really say anything.
Well, let me ask you this.
If you could be anything in the world, anything at all,
what would you want to be?
The man's legs pass in front of young Will's eyes.
Will pauses and slowly looks up and says,
I want to be the greatest knight in the world.
Ah, yes.
A great knight indeed.
Dr. Forsythe leans in to Sir Will's face.
It's Brander.
Oh, what?
We'll see you next week.
Oh, shit!
Oh, wow!
Oh, wow. Oh, wow. The Glass Cannon Podcast is a Powerhouse and Tate production
