Starting point is 00:01:51 I remember when I first got with my lady, you know, and she's helping me pack to go on a road trip. And I'm putting my Xbox in my little carrying case with the monitor. It's a game system, G-A-M. You know. No, I'm just – she probably said that. No, no. She was like, why are you taking your game system? She didn't realizeM, you know. No, I'm just, she probably said that. No, no,
Starting point is 00:02:05 she was like, why are you taking your game system? She and I go like this, well, normally, I would chase hoes. And then she goes, where's your controller?
Starting point is 00:02:14 Yeah. Back off my broccolini. Get your life together. It is. Don't touch me, bro. I'm not touching you, dude. I'm that guy. You know what?
Starting point is 00:02:30 I'll get to it in about two years. You know what? I was the same way about Breaking Bad. Yeah, me too. I was the same way about it. So it took me like, it was season three. It already started. And I was like, okay, let me check it out.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Oh, man. Hooked. I caught up. What's weird is I don't learn because I was the same way about Game of Thrones. I was. You never watched. No, I was three years late on Game of Thrones. No, hold on.
Starting point is 00:02:51 No, it's my favorite show of all time. Okay, thank you. Thank you. I was three years late on it. Yeah. I was like, and my joke was like Rogan and Brian when we were on the show. They're like, dude, you're not watching Game of Thrones. I'd be like, is there dragons in it?
Starting point is 00:03:01 They'd be like, yeah. I'd be like, dude, I'm 35. Oh, you're a bad guy. I'm all set. I was. Is it on some nerd shit? Is it on some nerd shit? Is it on some nerd shit? No, not at all.
Starting point is 00:03:07 But then I started watching it. God damn. The lineage. Best show of all time. The family tree in that, dude. That's a periodic table right there, dude. The Lannisters. All that.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Yep. It's like royalty. Old school royalty table. Yeah, I love it. I was late to Yellowstone. You watch Yellowstone? No, I haven't seen that one. What's that about?
Starting point is 00:03:23 Hey, there's too many shows. I can't get into all these relationships. I agree. Shows are relationships. Yeah, and I won't cheat on one. I have to finish it. I got to be in, and then I jump. Can I give you a little rule that I do for myself?
Starting point is 00:03:36 If I DVR things, right? If four episodes are in my DVR and I haven't watched, I know I'm not into it, and I'd erase it, and I'd never watch it again. That's my test. So if I let four episodes build up and I haven't got to it, I know it's not... It didn't grab me and I moved the hell on. That's fair. Midnight Mass, you're aware of Midnight Mass on Netflix? It's scary, right?
Starting point is 00:03:59 It can be, but dude, you have to just... You need patience. It's one of those slow kind of burns. See, I don't mind that. But dude once you figure it out you'll be like holy moly. It's the same crew that did the house on the hill.
Starting point is 00:04:13 The house on the hill. Something like that. That was great. Can I reveal it or should I ruin it? No because I got so much hate about this one little thing I said about Squid Games because I got so much hate about this one little thing I said about Squid Games. I got so much hate.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Wait, wait, wait. Last week? Yeah, stop spoiling stuff, Griffin. People get so mad. I didn't say nothing. People get so mad. Oh, I saw Jin, the Jin. Oh, it's good, right?
Starting point is 00:04:36 You told me that. It's good, right? I liked it, dude. Quality movie. You know why I liked it? Because they didn't, it was like indie filming. It cost $17 to shoot. You didn't need a huge a low like indie filming it cost 17 to shoot you didn't yeah you didn't need a huge location you shot one apartment yeah no have you seen the gin yeah
Starting point is 00:04:51 no i haven't seen that okay yeah yeah yeah that was cool stevie's podcast has a bigger budget for sure that's not saying that's saying a lot right in this show don't be nice about my we got that titanic his place it's all the hot plate is the biggest thing on the budget. You know what I told Bobby to watch, Steve? White Lotus. What's that about? White Lotus is one of the best shows. On Netflix?
Starting point is 00:05:15 It's on Netflix. You know what you should do? No, it's on HBO. You should be a movie reviewer, too. That'd be good. You know what I've been doing on my podcast now? Riffin' with Griffin. As I recap movies,
Starting point is 00:05:28 I tell the story of the movie from beginning to end, especially when it's ridiculous. So I just did Fast and the Furious 9 because I saw it on a plane. That movie is the most ridiculous nonsense. I saw Watch After 2. I haven't seen one of those. When they start jumping the cars
Starting point is 00:05:46 building to building and then hanging out a helicopter with a car. On this one, this is all I'll say about this one. Tyrese and Ludacris are in the 87 Pontiac Fiero in space.
Starting point is 00:05:59 That's all I got to say. Yeah, I'm out. Thumbs down. That's all I got to say. If you want to see the recap, watch Griffin with Griffin. Sting that. But Tyrese fully redeemed himself.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Did you see Vin Diesel post a picture of him on a yacht, and he has like a gut, and people were clowning him, and Tyrese jumped in the comments, because this one dude was like, oh, look at your fat ass on the yacht, blah, blah, blah. And Tyrese goes, bro, you have a shirt and no yacht. Oh, this dude's folks. Wow. Yeah. Got him.
Starting point is 00:06:24 Yeah, got him. Yeah, that was- Oh was he's got the dad bod i don't know that's dad bod look at that tummy it looks like he's pregnant can the guy live he's worth like 900 mil okay he can do whatever he wants yeah he's a rich dude he'll get back to it he's just the same thing you know he's got boats and yeah yeah he's got yachts. Yeah, you know of all those Fast and Furiouses. He has ownership in it. Yeah. He's executive producer of all of them. He's quietly becoming a billionaire.
Starting point is 00:06:52 You need to be into cars? No. No, because it's about cars. No, it used to be. The first two were. Like the Tokyo Drift is his last car one. Yeah, yeah. So what are they about?
Starting point is 00:07:02 Just give me a summary. Can I tell you something? For some reason, it is about cars like in this in nine for some reason they in the jungle and he's got like a charger they're in the jungle and he has this like you know like a ford mustang or something driving in the jungle it's not a good jungle choice a vehicular jungle choice for a car and i just go how does car get here like it's like you're looking too into it dog that's not what these movies are about can i tell you something i can't turn it off that's my thing me neither if i'm in a movie i'm
Starting point is 00:07:34 like yeah how like i'm questioning everything like the thing i don't understand about i haven't seen like six seven eight okay so i'm looking at nine and for some reason like for some reason this started off as a racing mechanic street racer in east la now all of a sudden he's an international spy when did that shit happen they just got you know when did the government got involved i can't i can't like get past some of the stuff that happens dang it i took my son to see venom too and oh dude is that i'm not a writer i've never directed a movie but i i know damn well i can do better than that i it either. Sting it. I took my son to see Venom 2. Oh, dude, is that out? I'm not a writer. I've never directed a movie,
Starting point is 00:08:07 but I know damn well I can do better than that. I don't know if it's because of COVID or what, but my son was like... Tom Hardy's a honk, dude. No, he's a beast. He's a handsome dude.
Starting point is 00:08:16 He's in a great show. He's hella handsome. He's good, but even my son was like, this is poorly written. He's got a show on Stars or something. I forgot what it's called, but it's like an old-timey show and it's so good. He's a great actor. At least give him that. He's such a great actor. Give something. I forgot what it's called, but it's like an old timey show and it's
Starting point is 00:08:31 But here he said on the Venoms he was like, you know, it's kind of a cop-out do these Marvel movies He's like I got the script my kids like are you doing more or you're doing venom? He's like he's I didn't know about it. I don't like the voice He's like, I didn't know about it. I don't like the voice of Venom. He's like, Venom's cool. I don't like Venom's voice. It's weird. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:45 Taboo. Taboo's on FX. That's such a great show. Yeah. You've seen that too? Yeah, dude. How do you have time to watch all these? Are you busy?
Starting point is 00:08:53 Yeah, about nine, two. You just binge stuff. You know, I'm on the road in a hotel. You're on the road. You chill. So as a working comedians, do you have a lot of free time to do that? Yeah. Don't you have to do press?
Starting point is 00:09:04 You think you do? You think the press do press? You think press is 18 hours? You think press is 18 hours? If you do press, it's just like maybe two hours in the morning from like 6 to 8. Yeah, but what do you do in your hotel rooms? That's what I wanted. I play video games. Then I go to movies. So you bring your setup in your room.
Starting point is 00:09:18 I remember when I first got with my lady, and she's helping me pack to go on a road trip, and I'm putting my xbox in my little carrying case with the monitors a game system you know yeah no i'm just that she probably said that yeah no no she was like why are you taking your game she doesn't realize yeah and i go like this well normally i would chase hoes and then she goes where's your controller it's either this or I'm busting nuts. I'm either busting ass in the video game or busting ass in real life. So now I just play video games in my room and I have the AMC app.
Starting point is 00:09:54 So I'll go to movies. I'll find the AMC theater because I get to go to three movies. I love going to movies by myself now. It's like the greatest thing to go to movies by yourself. You know what I mean? Like to get late night burgers. So this Fuku Burger.
Starting point is 00:10:09 It's umami. I was in Vegas doing shows at the new Wise Guys Club. Great club. Especially for Vegas. I just don't like being off strip. No, it's great. It's like a local club. It's one of my favorite clubs. One of my favorite clubs. But this Fuku Burger, the owner comes. He's like, local club. It's great. Oh, Fuku Burger. It's one of my favorite clubs. Yeah, one of my favorite clubs. But it's Fuku Burger.
Starting point is 00:10:25 The owner comes. He's like, I get the best burger in town, blah, blah. So my squad, we were like big pun in the terror squad. So we go there like 2 in the morning. Oh, that's you, dude. But dude posts a video from a security footage. Like I'm committing a crime on World Star Hip Hop. I'm like, bro.
Starting point is 00:10:40 I text him like, you know you can just ask me for a pic, man. You don't have to pull this weird security fucking footage, man. Yeah, that's kind of weird. That's a weird look. And he kept doing it. I'm like, come on, bro you can just ask me for a pic, man. You don't have to pull this weird security fucking footage, man. Yeah, that's kind of weird. That's a weird look. He kept doing it. I'm like, come on, bro. I'd be afraid of this crew. Yeah, you should.
Starting point is 00:10:51 It's looking like the Fat Street Boys. The Fat Street Boys. David Taylor. You seen David Taylor lately? Jesus. I said, goddamn hell, boy. Take it easy, man. Dave, he looking like he ate Vin Diesel.
Starting point is 00:11:01 Damn Hellboy, take it easy, man. You guys have fun in Vegas? He looked like he ate Vin Diesel. What do you guys do in Vegas? What's fun when you're not doing your sets there? Do you guys gamble and stuff? I gamble. No, I hate casinos. Can't stand them.
Starting point is 00:11:16 Me and Jeremiah won on the slot machines. How much? $500 off. What are you, an 85-year-old Korean woman? What are you doing at the slot machines? Are you smoking and slot yeah time stamp that you're shaming me now how did you now you can't be happy for me and jeremiah winning any kind of money how did you guys split it though i'm super happy how did you
Starting point is 00:11:37 guys split the money because it was a year okay what happened it was a challenge it was a challenge the handle no it was a challenge so our challenge was okay. Who pulled the handle? No, it was a challenge. So our challenge was, okay, we have 40 bucks, 50 or 40. Whoever makes the most money wins the challenge. So what ended up happening is the first machine I went to, I went to the old school ones because the new ones are like high tech video. I don't know how to read. It's a lot going on. It's digital.
Starting point is 00:11:59 It's like all these colors and I don't even know how to read the machine. Went to the old school one, put in $10. I like your style. I won a hundred off of10. I won $100. Off of $10, I won $130. Jesus. I didn't even know I was winning. It was like...
Starting point is 00:12:12 And I pressed it again. And you play the ones where it's like cherry, cherry, cherry. Just really for the... That's his old school... That's his grandma Korean. That's your Asian grandmother pushing pushing towards it he was smoking a cigarette he didn't know why he was you know what i mean he had to help me out here dude i need you with me on this one but i mean slot machines people especially the old slot machines yeah
Starting point is 00:12:36 you know i i i did you have a diaper on because you didn't want to go to the bathroom you didn't want to leave it you just peed your pants that's what they do it out my my pay stub i'm like oh 130 i'm like i'm winning your turn jeremiah he went to one of the new school machines the willy wonka and the chocolate factory there's oompa loompas like you know and he didn't know what was going on it was like a wild wild you know we didn't know how to read it he ended up winning 121 dollars oh yeah so i was winning and he proposed this he goes let's combine our vouchers and just put it all on um black yeah type move roulette yeah and you won we doubled our money oh yeah and then you got out and we're screaming like we won the lottery ah yeah then did you guys take that 500 and go get whores in vegas no we
Starting point is 00:13:24 went to uh there's a Brazilian... There's good steakhouses there. He got that dopamine hip and it just flew him right off the wagon. So we went to Fogo de Chão. Fogo de Chão. That's a chain. What? You went to a chain in Vegas? That's
Starting point is 00:13:39 ridiculous. Vegas has great restaurants. That's Jeremiah's old ghetto Kansas ass. You know what I mean? Let's not do that. That's a real white person move. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's like, let's go to Fogo de Chao. We got money, Stevie.
Starting point is 00:13:52 Let's go to Fogo de Chao. Time stamp, time stamp, and another time stamp. How dare you? So what's a good restaurant then? What do we do? I'm just saying. What's called Herbs and I forget what it is. Herbs and something.
Starting point is 00:14:04 Is Morton's good? That's a chain. That's a chain. But you know when you go out of town, I hate going to like? I'm just saying. What's it called? Herbs and I forget what it is. Herbs and something. Is Morton's good? That's a chain. That's a chain. But like, you know, when you go out of town, I hate going to like, I'm not going to go to Chili's or Friday's. I want to go to like, what's the thing, the restaurant that's been here for a while? Especially in Vegas. There's like.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Well, how do we know? The Chinatown there. We're like blue collar guys. The Pad Thai out there. The sushi's even good out there. Blue collar guys. I mean, how are we supposed to know the good steak houses? I want to describe you guys as blue collar.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Yeah, you're not blue collar, Steve. Well, thank you. You had $500 burning a hole through your pocket. But what's a good restaurant? Like, how do we know what restaurant's good and bad in Vegas? And we can text somebody who lives out there. I mean, you know who's part of Wise Guys is Pauly Shore. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:40 What about Pauly? Oh, Wise Guys Comedy Club. The comedy club. Did he make you do, like, a Pauly on the street with him? No, no, no. What about Pauly? Oh, why is this guy's comedy club? The comedy club. Did he make you do like a Pauly on the street with him? No, no, no. He knows better. Wait, wait. He's got Pauly on the street?
Starting point is 00:14:50 He just goes on. He just has a guy film and you just go with him and he just being Pauly Shore. He's like, hey. It's actually fun. It's funny. Yeah, he's great. It's funny. He's like, hey, buddy.
Starting point is 00:14:59 Come over tomorrow. I'm like, no. He's got a great place out there. Great. His next door neighbor is Nicholas Cage. Oh, really? That explains a lot. He's like, come over and get peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Starting point is 00:15:09 Dude, I'm not 14, man. I'm not coming over for peanut butter and jelly. Peanut butter and jelly is good. You don't got to be 14 to enjoy peanut butter and jelly. I was just in Cabo with my chick, and I ordered room service, and I got peanut butter and jelly. All right, take it easy. Small flex. Small flex.
Starting point is 00:15:24 But I'm not going to go to another grown man like if I was like, hey, Eric, why don't you come over on Sunday around noon? I'm going to make you some peanut butter and jellies. It should be like, it's just already ready. They should be there. Do you fuck with peanut butter and jellies? Yeah, right.

Starting point is 00:17:46 Get your first month free. K-E-E-P-S dot com slash cats. I have one quick question to ask you guys because it's all dudes here. All dudes. So when I, okay, so I had this thing with my girl. She doesn't want me to fart in bed. Fair point. But when I'm laying down it's go time
Starting point is 00:18:07 it's the best time i try i get up to i try to we have a balcony so i go outside and i'm out there like ah it's not working no because when you move yeah as soon as i get in bed the fart's like i'm gonna lay low yeah and we start moving the body is flat the fart is like just perfect yeah and then you know what i mean and then every then she? And then she just went off on me this morning. You got to take the pillow and silence it. It doesn't matter because it was a funky one. She hates it, huh? Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:18:34 She's like, I'm tired of smelling you farts every day. Oh, I bet you they smell horrible. You should be letting them go. Timestamp that. You should be letting them go, huh? But she told me one time, she was like, I don't want you to think that you can't because I don huh i but but she told me one time she's like i don't want you to think that you can't because i don't want you to get sick so i always say i always bring that well if you don't get that out you can you can really you can eventually get it out but it's
Starting point is 00:18:54 not like some horrible condition well i like i i kind of play it up you know i gotta get it out my stomach i don't feel good yeah so i don't know are you a bed farter no uh i've never farted in front of my girl on accent oh wow she's never farted in front of me either who i really like you guys even know each other no i really like a 1950s fucking house man there's no you guys sleep in separate twin beds yeah yeah well the better question is do you smell your own farts yeah it's terrible but is that a better question yeah you think that's a better question, Stevie? I've stuffed that in Yeah Alright, what do you got, Nick?
Starting point is 00:19:26 Because I enjoy it What? Yeah Well, you have to enjoy it in that Well, you know You've never done that You fart under the covers And then it's like an hour later
Starting point is 00:19:34 It's like an apartment It's a Dutch oven You know what I mean? You can smell some of it And then you save some for later Stevie's a freak Everybody loves their own brand I feel you
Starting point is 00:19:42 Yeah This guy's got a question About something that just came out and something that's gonna come out what up cats big brendan e money fuck steves it's your favorite east coaster matt back again from new york city this time with a king of their sting it so dave chapelle's latest comedy special the closer i don't know if y'all saw it yet but man to me personally it felt a little bit more like a cultural TED Talk than it did a comedy special. Normally, Dave has a belly full of laughs.
Starting point is 00:20:08 This time, he was a head full of shit to think about. So what did y'all think? Did you love it? Did you hate it? Would you king it? Would you sting it? Did you learn anything? I mean, what was the objective there, to be entertained or to be conflicted?
Starting point is 00:20:19 You tell me. Gang, gang. And, Brendan, you already know what it is. Thick City. Yes, sir. Thick City. I king it i i thought it was i was vintage the dave chappelle because his uh prior to i felt were like more like a ted talk i was like dog just give us jokes this was loaded with jokes granted it's controversial
Starting point is 00:20:38 also is it controversial and like people like oh let's cancel netflix i'm like first of all you gotta realize and you've been through this with showtime whatever you've had your other specials on like you submit your hour 30 minutes to them they have to okay it's not like netflix saw it when we all saw it and we're like oh my god this transgender stuff's horrible but they know what's going on at this level though it could have been like that though i doubt it you know but i'm sure i'm but i'm sure it was like what are they going to say we're not listen they saw his hour in live i would guarantee someone from netflix saw his hour live before they agreed to that that's the way it works but also with the transphobic stuff i don't think dave's transphobic so that was the point of his special
Starting point is 00:21:18 well i had to look transphobic i had to look that you know it's interesting you say that because i actually talked about this on my podcast too, Riffin' with Griffin. The word transphobic is like, to me, it's not a proper term because phobia means fear. But transphobic doesn't mean being afraid of. It actually means what people think about. If you look up the dictionary definition of transphobic, I think they need a different term. But I don't know. I agree. But it became almost a retread, though, because it's almost like this is a whole continuation from the last one.
Starting point is 00:21:58 But it's also brilliant and funny. And also, are people really upset or is it just the internet you know i'm saying like yeah i know give me context what did he have a bit about that's what it says that's almost too much to get into okay but then also it's like when you like are they upset or is it just clout chasing like are people just like we're upset look at us look at us look he made fun of us look at us well there's a lot of attention over here they've got i'm saying they've gotten a lot of there's been a few transgender comedians who they've gotten to write like you know these little op-ed pieces and who's reading about those things they're they're out there it's coming out you know i'm saying like who's
Starting point is 00:22:36 like when you look at how many people watch chappelle's special compared to how many people care i have one issue no he's also a he doesn't care also all have one issue. No, he's also, A, he doesn't care. Also, all this is planned. Like, you could have saw this coming a mile away. Like, he knows exactly the backlash he's going to get. My only, it's not an issue. It's just kind of like a damn for me is we make the same reference. I've been doing an impossible pussy joke for three years, you know? And so now.
Starting point is 00:23:03 In regards to transgender. Yeah, to transgender yeah yeah i have a joke and my joke i believe for me is like my joke is softer it's not as you know but i've had so many people already hit me up that have seen me live for three years like oh man you know and is it parallel thinking yeah yeah yeah for sure for sure that and that's the thing too but it sucks because when someone that famous does something that's his joke it's his joke. It's his joke now. It's his joke. Because these idiots out here, they don't care about anything. They don't think about anything. It's like if you say the same word, even if you, and this is the second time this has
Starting point is 00:23:32 happened. Even if the same premise is, they're going to be like, oh, you saw it from Chappelle. Right, right, right, right. Well, yeah, because he's more famous. He's way more famous. And I totally get it. So just for my fans, I had to talk about it on my podcast just to be like, because all my fans that are hitting me up, like, oh, man, I saw you do this and but but you know and i had to let them know i'm not just
Starting point is 00:23:48 parallel thinking i don't run in the same circles it's this guy to me i feel proud that like you know a brilliant guy like that we came to the same conclusion you know what i mean but like for me it sucks because now i can't do it anymore so it's like it's over for me yeah but like you know but it is what it is i'm not i'm not you know you know what I mean? Like I said, I don't think this guy stole anything. It's just parallel thinking. But it just sucks because I really loved my joke. Well, isn't there a hierarchy in the comedy world? Like let's say an open mic has a bit that you're doing too,
Starting point is 00:24:19 but he had it first. Don't you have rank on him? No, no, no. It doesn't work like that. It doesn't work like that? I don't know how that works. That would actually be ridiculous. work like that it doesn't work like that that would actually be ridiculous yeah that'd be that'd be a nightmare that would be yeah it'd be ridiculous no but there's a lot of same how it works is if you get it on tv first it's yours oh because it's solidified yeah it's on tv because before it was it wasn't as there wasn't as many
Starting point is 00:24:40 specials so like what i don't like about someone doing so many specials in a short span of time this is the only thing i don't like about it is that's what happens so like a lot of comics are delving into some of the same subject matter it cuts the legs yeah so now all the comics that are talking about things now anytime you talk about the same thing as chapelle or burr or anybody like that they now they we're stealing from them and they own every premise. That's the only thing I don't like about it because this happened to me a lot. I had on my second special, I was making this reference
Starting point is 00:25:11 and I used the phrase banana gate. Okay. And then I'm, you know, and then like the Chappelle comes out with a special and he says the same words for something else. And then Adam Egan at the comic store, he goes, yo, man, you see Chappelle's thing? You can't do that Banana Gate thing anymore. And I was like, what?
Starting point is 00:25:30 Then I saw it, and I was like, it's not even the same joke, but it don't matter. It don't matter. Because people are going to associate that with Chappelle. So I was like, damn. It happened to me even with Burr. Burr did his Saturday Night Live, his monologue when he did Saturday Night Live. Went hard in the paint. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:42 his monologue when he just started yeah and I have I had the same similar preference about talking about white women and like being you know slave owners and he had the same thing and I was like I've been doing I was doing that at the comedy store so it was like it's one of these things we just go
Starting point is 00:25:59 damn it like you know it's like you know it's like it's a race to be more famous so you can like so now I start to think because famous. So you can like, so now I start to think. Because he goes to the most famous guy. But now I start to think I need to just start putting my stuff on the internet. I need to just like. Yeah, especially if it's time sensitive. Yeah, like stop worrying about.
Starting point is 00:26:13 That's what I like. Let me save it for a special. Like I have some COVID Afghanistan stuff. It's like, I can't release this in March. Right, right. I totally. That shit needs to come out. It's not fun to think, you know.
Starting point is 00:26:22 And again, that's like, I say like like somebody like like how prolific chappelle is that he literally has done like five or six specials in four years monster so three or four years one was like just current events but yeah i know but it's like it's still but he has he's so you know dynamic and stuff so it's like that's all i'm saying is like i wish you know you know it's like it sucks really that the thing the comedy is so accessible because of like netflix youtube that whoever does a thing now it's as if no other comic can discuss this now did you see the transgender who is referenced into during the special she committed suicide and uh the family came out because you you know, she stuck up for him. One of his specials, she stuck up for him.
Starting point is 00:27:08 And she just got bombarded by the LGBTQ community, like lit the fuck up. And he was like, you know, I don't know if you guys helped with her committing suicide. Definitely didn't help out. Like whatever you bullying this girl definitely didn't help out. I'm not saying that's why she committed suicide. Definitely didn't help, though. But he was inferring that. Correct. and it was a legit point i'm saying but it was part of the thing too for sure but then that that so the the because she's gone now
Starting point is 00:27:32 right commit suicide the family came out recently like a few days ago and defended dave chappelle was like whatever her name was phoebe would have loved these jokes wouldn't have been offended would have loved these jokes so who's really offended offended, would have loved these jokes. So who's really offended? You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Or is it just a good way to go, oh, look, we're here. Here we are. I know. It sucks.
Starting point is 00:27:52 Yeah, but it's like. He's an ally. But it's just like he said, like, you know, the Twitter's not a real place. He really feels that way. And Bill Burfield's the same way, too. Like, Bill, like, you know, he had some things that he was like, this is going to go away. Whether there's 40 people on the internet that don't like what I said, and then they just move on. The news cycle is so fast.
Starting point is 00:28:10 That's where I'm at. I'm in agreeance with him. I don't think social media is real. I really don't. But I think that all the critics that were trying to trash Chappelle for Sticks and Stones, they were misguided. And he won an Emmy. Yep. But I think all the criticism they were making of that special
Starting point is 00:28:28 can apply to this one. Yep. And this one I don't think is going to have the same impact as the last one. Ooh, I disagree. Yeah. I think this one was better. But we're king and closer, all of us, right? Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Yeah, yeah. It's not my favorite Dave Chappelle. I kind of sting it. Just in the context of how much I love Dave Chappelle. I thought it was his best special the last five years. Oh, yeah. I'm not with you on that, dude, at all. I loved it.
Starting point is 00:28:51 I thought it was brilliant. Because I think he was... He's a great orator. He's a really fantastic orator. So that's just his speaking and how he presents himself. You know exactly how he feels and what he's saying um but it don't mean it's always funny if you look at like killing him softly like back in the day skinny chapelle show and he's like that baby's on the street deal crack like that's that's comedy yeah i like skinny chapelle yeah yeah yeah but he's older now
Starting point is 00:29:19 but i i feel like he needs he needed to evolve past all this transgender shit way sooner but the thing is just to like put a button on it it's like i get like he's in such a great position like his his his specials they're really podcasts you know they're really podcasts so he was able to do one and then all the critics whatever things were saying he was like you know what I can address this again and another one I could be like you know y'all were talking shit so now I'm back again
Starting point is 00:29:48 to reiterate what I was saying and to challenge this nonsense and then if people come at him again he's like let me do another one he's 20 million every time what a great position
Starting point is 00:29:58 to be in to like challenge everything that people say about him and then double down he doubled down and then win Emmys and win Emmys on it.
Starting point is 00:30:05 So it's like he's one of the few people in that position. Yeah, it's almost like jokes on you. Yeah, the jokes on you, man. Wow. Let's see what this guy's got. Yo, King of the Sting. Is this Brian Laundrie?
Starting point is 00:30:17 It's Jacob coming from Mexico. Yep. Jacob. Jacob, also known as Brian. I got a King of the Sting it for you. Since Theo's Vaughn special is coming on Netflix October 19th, you better go and watch it. Where are we going to go?
Starting point is 00:30:32 I've got a King of the Sting it for you. Stevie Weeby doing stand-up. I personally want to see it. I think Stevie's a hilarious guy, and I think he'd make a lot of people laugh. But yeah, it's my King of the Sting it. Stevie doing stand-up. Gang, gang.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Can I tell you something? This guy's facial hair, he is messing up those pretty-ass eyes. I know. It's distracting. He's a beautiful-looking man. He's trying to look ugly. I mean, he's a handsome guy. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:30:59 He shaves. He's a solid nine. First of all, I am all for this. I talked to Theo this morning. Okay. He called me to check in. You know, he was like, Steve, because I think we should do some King of the Sting shows. It'll be fun.
Starting point is 00:31:14 I think we should do shows. Live shows. Oh, Lord. We all do stand up. And we all do stand up. And Steve's going to do it. Yeah. Steve hosts and does like five minutes.
Starting point is 00:31:21 Oh, God. It was so much anxiety, guys. Steve, this is going to happen. Do that. That's your opener. I was going to do, okay, so I was in Vegas with Jeremiah. He was doing Wise Guys. The second show, one of the comedians didn't show up.
Starting point is 00:31:35 So I'm in the green room, and I don't know why I said this, but I was just trying to be of service, and I'm like, hey, I'll go out there. He was this close to letting me go on. just didn't have he should have but i had nothing well and i had no steve moving forward nothing that's why he didn't let me go because he's like well what do you because he was like trying to safeguard me he was like okay okay i'll let you do but what are you going to talk about like let's talk and you had nothing i'm like. Well, first of all, you can't be talking outstandard with Jeremiah. Dude, time stamp that.
Starting point is 00:32:11 That was highly disrespectful. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm not letting this slide. Oh, you're going to let it slide. Remember that hierarchy? Are you saying, guys are above Jeremiah on the comedy ladder? We let this lie, homie. I think Eric has seniority.
Starting point is 00:32:35 You have seniority over Theo, too? Maybe, but it don't matter. How does this work? You guys are making up the rules. It's not seniority. How does this work? How famous is your podcast as a seniority. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:32:47 How does it work? I'm lowest on the totem pole for that. No. So you guys are above him on the comedy ladder. No, there's no such thing. Steve, stop saying that. There's no such thing. Yeah, there's no hierarchy.
Starting point is 00:32:56 But we know who's funnier. You know what I mean? Come on, Steve. Steve! I'm not touching this one. Unbelievable. I'm not touching it one I'm not touching it I love Jeremiah
Starting point is 00:33:07 I'm just teasing both of you but Steve moving forward from this day forward what's the worst that could happen I already bombed in the worst way possible this is what you don't realize just you being like this is funny
Starting point is 00:33:23 literally doesn't listen. Steve, moving forward. You're going to host it. From now, you're going to start writing jokes down. And we're going to check in with you every episode. How are the jokes going, Steve? And this is what we're going to do. I don't know how to write a joke.
Starting point is 00:33:35 So we need to ask our new segment. How do you write a joke? Could be good income for you. Yeah. How do you write a joke? You have ideas on things. So is it, do you just write premises? Yes.
Starting point is 00:33:44 Starts with a seed with a premise. Give me an example. Oh, okay, Steve. I'll give you an example right now. We're doing a joke writing workshop right now. Yeah, okay. So here it is. There are no books out.
Starting point is 00:33:52 No, you're going to, what a premise is, is you explaining why you think it's funny. So what do you find funny, say, in your apartment? There's a whole lot. Exactly. Like what hot plate what else i'm talking to steve why the thing is this is the joke what about the why is it funny exactly the black butt's good why is it funny to you and that's the premise and then you're going to talk about it i have to get this off my chest, though. Go ahead. Because I have had some DMs of specifically referring to the black butt. Steve's ADD is off the chain. Saying that I can no longer support you because of the black butt. Because it's black or because it's a fake butt?
Starting point is 00:34:37 No, he was commenting because it would look like a smaller butt. Child's. I get it. And I have kids and that bothered me, but I know you and you're a good person. I didn't choose that. It was given to me. Sure. And it's not like I had it out all the time.
Starting point is 00:34:50 You saw it was in the closet. That's what everybody said that went to Jeffrey Epstein's Island. Yeah, I didn't know. I didn't choose this. No, that's not a good example, man. Timestamp that also. All of it.
Starting point is 00:35:01 See, Stevie? Okay. Just the black butt is a premise for you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You could ride on that all day. But isn't that kind of hacky? No. That's like. See, Stevie? Okay. Just the black butt is a premise for you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You could write on that all day. But isn't that kind of hacky? No. That's like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:35:09 This is my thought process behind that. It's like, oh, we'll talk about a fleshlight. No, no, no. No, Stevie, you're missing the point. You know why it's not hacky? Because it's real. Yeah, that's personal to you. Because it's real to you.
Starting point is 00:35:19 Yeah. Now, if we did it and we don't have that, that's hacky. Yeah. But it's real to Stevie. It's hacky if someone else, I thought hacky. It's organic to Stevie. No,
Starting point is 00:35:27 but I thought, this is my, what I thought it was is, if you, if someone else covered that subject matter, No. You can't do that, bro.
Starting point is 00:35:36 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
Starting point is 00:35:36 no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
Starting point is 00:35:38 no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
Starting point is 00:35:38 no, you're talking about something, Steve, you're talking about something completely different. Hacky is a subject. Well, define hacky. Okay,
Starting point is 00:35:44 that's, hacky is just a subject that is very common and it's not the surface level of a joke. So a hacky joke would be like talking about the side effects of medication. That's a hacky joke. Or flying on an airplane. Any airplane material is a hacky joke. Every comic has an airplane joke. But that's someone's experience.
Starting point is 00:36:02 You're saying if it's from your experience. But if you're at a high level, you if you have unique even if it's unique uh covet jokes are becoming hacky now uh just anything that's like a common you know trump jokes yeah trump jokes people over that but but again all something that's common you're missing them all this like that black butt is personal and that's your story so you have a personal take on it yeah now if you were like oh what if i did a joke about a black a big black dick well you So you have a personal take on it. Now, if you were like, oh, what if I did a joke about a big black dick? We don't have a big black dick. That makes no sense.
Starting point is 00:36:30 I don't have it. Are you saying do I have it? I don't know. I love the story you told about the first time you did stand up when you were arguing afterwards with your mom about what was funny. That could be super funny. You do listen.
Starting point is 00:36:45 You remember. That could be a funny. You do listen. You remember. That could be a joke in itself. Hopefully this goes better because last time boom. You know what happened, Brendan? I got off my horse. I never hopped back on the horse. Me and Eric are telling you. That was so traumatic for me.
Starting point is 00:37:02 I thought because you ate the horse. I'm just kidding, dude. Are you going to back me up? It doesn't have nothing to do with Asians either. Eating horses? You're saying Asians eat animals, man. Not horses. No, I mean dogs and horses.
Starting point is 00:37:13 You do. No, he didn't say all Asians. He said you do. I eat horse? That's just so random. Hey, Stevie, this should be something you should take confidence in getting back on stage. Eric, who's been in comedy forever, even has taught comedy before, says, Stevie, do it. I say do it.
Starting point is 00:37:29 I think you should do it. Gio, who's been doing comedy for 90 years, says do it. I think it's just about you. You have all that support. I think it's just about you honing in on why you're funny. You don't know why you're funny. See, that's the problem. That's what's funny.
Starting point is 00:37:41 But that's the problem. I don't know. But as a comic, you need to understand why you're funny. But that's the problem. That's what's funny. But that's the problem. I don't know what makes it funny. But as a comic, you need to understand why you're funny. But that's the problem there. I don't mean to be funny. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's why I think this works. That's why I think you need to be funny to tell stories.
Starting point is 00:37:54 I disagree. I disagree. Listen, when Steve figures out why he's funny, then he'll be able to really manipulate. Because that's what this is about. It's about manipulating why you're funny. Yeah, I don't know. That's the problem. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:38:08 And Stevie, you're funny because you're very unique. Okay, so I could, maybe unique subject to topics or something? No, but see, again, it's more met. Your view on the basics. That's what I'm saying. Brandon, I'm trying to tell you. Are we talking about aliens? I'm trying to tell you he doesn't understand.
Starting point is 00:38:21 Aliens, right, Kyle? It's a meta thing. Like, once he figures it out. Yeah, that's often racist. Let me give you an example, Steve. When I used to coach basketball, just before I was doing stand-up, and I'd be on the sidelines, and I'd be yelling at the kids, and then the crowd would laugh.
Starting point is 00:38:37 And then I'd be like, I'm saying things to them, and then people are laughing. And then it was like a moment I figured out, I was like, oh, so people think it's funny when i'm upset and there is a sort of like heightened performance because i would say things to the kids like are you point shaving you know what i mean it's like you know see what i'm saying but i'm listen point shaming middle school yeah i'm dead serious so one day taking a fall motherfucker the kids came to me when the kids
Starting point is 00:39:06 like coach can you like can you stop making fun of us you know like because like people are laughing at us and i was like it was one of the moments where i was like oh i and i knew why it was funny yeah like i understood exactly why i was funny i understood exactly what i was doing and i understood it was like this is funny to people you figured out your flavor I figured out my thing. So Steve just doesn't really understand. Yeah. I'll give you an example. These little things that he does. You know, like we did.
Starting point is 00:39:30 Like not listening is funny. Like not listening. Interrupting. I'm getting better, brother. And I'm getting better with that. Are you? Because you're still doing it. I think so.
Starting point is 00:39:38 I am. I am. I'm in my mind right now. Go ahead, Steve. We did the Scissor Bros podcast live. I'm in my mind right now. Go ahead, Steve. We did the Scissor Bros podcast live, and I noticed since there was a live audience, I kept looking at them for like-
Starting point is 00:39:50 Approval. Yeah. And they saw through that. And I felt like they can, there's a weird kind of energy, like they could sense certain things. Did they like it or no? I don't, I can't tell. Let's just-
Starting point is 00:40:03 But see, that's a very interesting perception steve is that this is the thing why you know if you're a comic like i always tell young comics like don't apologize for things that you stay on stage meaning like don't come across like you know you're saying something bad because the audience is going to be like yeah you're not supposed to say that and they'll pick up on that energy that's what i I'm talking about. You're a lion tamer. There's some weird unspoken energy thing with the audience. You're going to figure it out. Either way, you're getting the fuck up, dude. Either way, you're figuring it out, man.
Starting point is 00:40:30 I'm telling you. So it's like the Matrix. You could figure out little. Yes. Let's take a little break, and then we'll be right back on the show. Starting point is 00:43:16 E-X-P-R-E-S-S-V-P-N.com slash cats to learn more. Is this a trailer for Theo Special? Yeah, let's do this. Let me say this before you play. It's about Theo special. So Theo special is called regular people. You know, Theo, he's crazy, right? And he had a million pictures that Netflix sent him for marketing.
Starting point is 00:43:35 And he goes, man, I don't like this one. I look too silly. I don't like this one. I said, Theo, here's the thing about you calling your special regular people. You're the furthest thing from regular that I've ever met. Oh, he's unique. So your picture should should be your like he it was one was far away one looked like mark maron on a stool i'm like no i don't want any of that he's like don't i look goofy in this picture i'm like no that's how you look dog so by calling it regular people having
Starting point is 00:43:57 this picture to me that's fucking funny yeah i had a really funny you say that because like my first special was called the ugly truth so I had a real ugly picture of me. It was like my belly and stuff. And I was like, what's the ugly truth? Yeah, hilarious. So this is what I'm saying. You're so right. Be a regular person.
Starting point is 00:44:13 I was telling Theo, there's certain times, I think, in comics careers, some it happens early, some happens late. But for me, that's hilarious. I'm sorry. That's hilarious. Laughing too hard. No, no, no. No hard no no no laughing too hard no no no
Starting point is 00:44:26 but I want to point something out Steve why is that funny to you just I um no no listen Steve look at me
Starting point is 00:44:33 look at me look at me listen to me don't listen to me wait wait listen the poster looked funny to me no no Steve listen I want you to really think about this
Starting point is 00:44:40 why did you laugh so hard when you saw that right now think about the whole thing why did you laugh so hard I don't want to fat shame you no no no now why not steve now why is that funny well you look fatter okay so why is it the ugly truth right so what i'm saying is like steve this is how you make jokes okay because this is what i'm saying like why did you laugh when you understand why you laugh at things you will explain why you laugh at things but that's the joke but also why why it works too stevie's because you're a sweet person you have a good soul is he he is he is otherwise
Starting point is 00:45:15 you wouldn't be here but the other thing about so this is the last thing on theo so theo had a special on netflix a while ago not his best work we can all admit that feel from that special to now i told him i said brother when this comes out this is your this is your moment you know theo he's like no man there's no moments i'm telling you dude i've seen your material for for your fans are going to watch it regardless but the casual fan is like you know regular people and that guy looks silly clicks on it dude it's, it's going to fucking catapult. His head's already big, and his nose, and his ass. It's going to be even bigger, dude. Because when people get a hold of Theo,
Starting point is 00:45:51 there's going to be a nightmare around here. Aren't you proud of him, though? This is a big deal. Yeah, this is a big deal. And he's going to watch this. He doesn't realize this moment in his career. He won't acknowledge it. Why not?
Starting point is 00:46:03 He doesn't like pressure. Why? But I'm telling you, man, this special, look at the pressure you're putting on. Let's play the damn trailer. I want to talk about that. And we want to see a trend number one on Netflix. So I think it helps.
Starting point is 00:46:14 It drops next Wednesday, October 19th. But if you go visit the page that's on, that helps it. And rate it and give it a thumbs up. Yeah, support him. I grew up around regular people, you know? Just, you know, like out there everybody's fancy. Somebody's fancy.
Starting point is 00:46:30 Their daddy's fancy, you know? I grew up around, dude, they had a guy growing up in my neighborhood, no arms, fight everybody, boy. Boy, we get him. Yeah, zero arms. Yeah, dude. This boy named Gert was his name. Well, his name was Edgerton, okay?
Starting point is 00:46:52 Nobody's named Gert. That's not a name, you know? That's more like a sound, you know, like maybe you're eating something and somebody scares you. You know, Gert? That's just mom petting the cat. you call before you come touch that cat Linda this fellow named Edgerton and he choked out 30 people in our town and had zero arms and they call him Gert because if you take the name Edgerton and you take off the E-D and you take off the O-N,
Starting point is 00:47:30 then that's Gert, you know? Yeah, just the middle, you know, just like him, really. My dog. Oh, fantastic. I'm excited for it, man. Yeah, that's exciting. I love that picture wow look at this is a big deal his billboard's cool too that's the best place for a special netflix right
Starting point is 00:47:51 now it is depends yeah i think they bought that was the premier place it depends if you're theo yes if they push you yeah so what can compete with that though it's not youtube comedy central youtube not comedy central hold on you tell me central youtube and like i think if are they finally on youtube because you know for a long time they're on they were trying to make us go to their little alley app nope they're on there what happened to hbo i thought back in the day it was hbo no because here's hbo like they have a good amount of subscribers but netflix has more so So Netflix, to me, unless you're like a Theo Vaughn or Bill Burr or Dave Chappelle, and they're going to push it and promote it, or you're Joe Rogan, that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:48:32 But if you're just a dude and you get lost in the algorithms, nobody's going to see it. And here's the other thing about Netflix. Once you give them the special, it's theirs forever. You can't take clips. Yeah. Ownership. Ownership. They ownership You can't take clips and put on YouTube None of that They own it all dude
Starting point is 00:48:50 So if you look at Shane Gillis Mark Norman had the third most watched special last year 2-3 million views Shane Gillis over 1.5 million views If you want to sell tickets If you want to sell tickets Unless you're Dave Chappelle or Bill Bur you got to have that on youtube in some form whether it's a copy center youtube you're on youtube you have to do something yeah because you know even even for me like
Starting point is 00:49:13 mind being you were on showtime nobody watches showtime it's tough like because it's not good because especially my fan base 1836 males they don't have show time they're on YouTube it's tough but I mean the thing that was like and also I don't mean to interrupt you but also like the narrative of like you know putting your special on YouTube it's changing because
Starting point is 00:49:37 talents like Mark Norman and Shane Gillis and these other monsters have are putting their specials on there I think even Rogan's talking about putting a special on there to get maximum views. Because at first it used to be like kind of CD-less comics with like nobody's picking my shit up and put it on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:49:54 But now it's different because you got monsters. Monsters doing it now. Brett Ernst put his special on YouTube and he got a lot of great write-ups about it. How do you get paid? Is it monetization? Google Ad? How do you get paid? Is it monetization? Google Ad?
Starting point is 00:50:07 How do you get paid for that? It's not all about getting paid. Oh, it's promotion. Correct. Because the number one thing Eric and I want to do is sell tickets on the road. That's where we make our money. Oh, it's promotion to get the tickets. So if you get two million views on YouTube, that's going to correlate to tickets on the road.
Starting point is 00:50:25 And that's where we make our money. That's where you make your money. You can't do that with Netflix. You say they own all the footage. You can make your money, but I'm not going to say how much Steel made, but he made enough money. Oh, he got the deal. Chappelle gets like 20, 30 million. Rogan gets millions.
Starting point is 00:50:40 But someone like that, they got a different type of deal. I mean, they could tell Netflix. Yeah, he could be like, no, you can own this for a a year and then i get it back i mean depending on who it is who it is yeah but this is the other thing too with specials it's like now even on netflix we know people stop watching after 28 minutes they might come back to it 15 but they start watching on 28 is that how so so let's say uh let's say my friends and family don't know who eric is and he has a special and it's on netflix i can say hey watch eric special on netflix or if he's on youtube or conference youtube i take a 10 minute clip go bro check out eric's fucking bit on his
Starting point is 00:51:15 best bit on fucking lion king right oh my god it's hilarious we're kind of watching you know what i'm saying i think he stole that bit from Chappelle. But shout out to Theo, man. October 1st. Yeah, go check that out, man. October 19th. Wednesday, October 19th. And here's the thing. He's in a perfect position, too, because specials that come after Chappelle, because it's this
Starting point is 00:51:35 comedy thing, get more views. So it's perfect timing, Doug. How do you know so much about these algorithms and marketing? Business. You are a business guy. That's why we had a studio called Thick Boy know what i mean we got a couple he only plays dumb you know you're uh with you know you know what you're doing man you know what's going on uh we got a couple quick uh cats in the wild someone said that's uh young at Chuck E. Cheese.
Starting point is 00:52:12 Oh, I love this. That's you, dude. That is you. Boy, dog. That shit's fucking great. That was, of course, before the tragedy at Chuck E. Cheese in your hometown. What do you mean? Something happened at Chuck E. Cheese? Shout out to Nathan Dunlap.
Starting point is 00:52:26 Wait, wait, wait. Nick, what is that? I don't want to bring the energy down. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. Can I tell them real quick? Yeah. Just give me a brief summary. There was a guy who went to my high school, Nathan Dunlap, got fired from Chuck E. Cheese,
Starting point is 00:52:37 went in there with an assault rifle and murdered, I think, five people. So where he ran to, the the apartments that's where I lived right behind it so when he was running my mom's like get in the house because I was playing football outside
Starting point is 00:52:50 it was late me and my friends playing and there's helicopters all over and it was on the news yeah crazy
Starting point is 00:52:55 never forget that never step foot in Chuck E. Cheese again ever in my life and that's why you get triggered when you see the rat king correct
Starting point is 00:53:01 oh if you look at Chuck E. Cheese it's creepy, Doug. I don't understand. If you get fired and you're mad, why are you killing other people? Kill yourself. No, I'm just kidding.
Starting point is 00:53:13 Time stamp that. I really don't want that. No, that's actually fair, though, Stevie. That's fair. That's actually really fair because they end up killing themselves anyway a lot of times. Or how about this?
Starting point is 00:53:21 You know what's good? Play a video game. You could kill on the video game. Yeah. Just be mad there. Punch a pillow. I don't know. Or fight them.
Starting point is 00:53:29 I'd rather you fight them than shoot them. Yeah. Come in and beat people up. That's not cool, man. But at Chuck E. Cheese, it'd be like
Starting point is 00:53:34 nine-year-olds. Remember, that was back in the day, but it was closed. So he came in after hours through the back door. And the guy that he
Starting point is 00:53:40 shot in the face who survived, he actually played dead. And then Nathan Dunlap ran out the back.ap ran out the back he ran out the back to the apartment right
Starting point is 00:53:47 he came to our friend's house damn his face was like all fucked up you know me and Shin have a little shame in that category huh why what happened
Starting point is 00:53:54 Cho Sung Wi oh not us though it's just a Korean guy Virginia Tech shirt yeah that guy was crazy he was a Korean guy yeah are you taking responsibility
Starting point is 00:54:02 I know how to win no but there's a little shame there's a little shame in it. There's a little shame. Right, Chen? Of course you do feel ashamed because then he's Korean. You always want them to not be Korean when you see someone Asian that does a mass murder. Once you find out they're Korean.
Starting point is 00:54:13 You're kind of like, it's rare. It's rare it's any other race. But white, though. That's the problem. That's why when it's Korean, it's like, oh, shit. And he planned it out. You remember that? Well, he's Korean.
Starting point is 00:54:22 Of course he planned it out. He needed angles. He had to, you know. Hey, Stevie, what's a snapper that? He's Korean. Of course he planned it out. He needed angles. He had to, you know. Hey, Stevie, what's a snapper head? He's just a red zone. He just snapped. Oh, snapper head. Yeah, snapper head.
Starting point is 00:54:32 I thought that was like a derogatory term. No, no, no. He snapped. He red zoned. And remember that movie I told you to watch, Oldboy? Yeah. Oh, I love Oldboy. Don't look into it.
Starting point is 00:54:40 Don't read into it. Just watch the movie. That kid was kind of inspired by Oldboy, too, because he had the hammer. I didn't know that. Yeah, he took a picture with a hammer. And the hammer's significant in Oldboy. He sent it to MSNBC. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Oldboy. It's an incredible movie, dude. Is it on Netflix? You haven't seen Oldboy? It was. It was on Netflix. You can find it, though. Yeah, you can find it.
Starting point is 00:55:00 Please watch it, but don't look into it. Just watch it. You just got to watch it. You'll love it. You'll blow your mind. I'm in. Got one more cats in the wild. Someone spotted Theo in Japan.
Starting point is 00:55:11 Bro, that is spot on. Oh, my. That's me Theo of this Netflix special. Dude, that's Theo, dude. Oh, my. That's fucking hilarious. His face, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:24 It's before he found his hair. the style with the hair really getting out. Yeah, it's fantastic. He might want to go to this style. So, and we'll move on to some debate clubs, another topical thing that happened this week. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, what's up, guys? What's up, Brendan?
Starting point is 00:55:40 What's up, Theo? What's up, Brendan? What's up, Stevie Weeby? It's Steve Weeby. Fuck, it's Steve Weeby. It's okay, just call Stevie Weeby? It's Steve, Steve Weeby. Fuck, it's Steve Weeby. It's okay, just call me Steve.
Starting point is 00:55:47 It's okay. It's Steve Wee. Steve. Steve B. Steve B. Steve. God, sorry guys.
Starting point is 00:55:52 I have a debate call for you guys. He for sure beats her. Who do you think took a bigger L this week? The head coach of the Oakland Raiders, John Gruden, who apparently made some homophobic and racist remarks through emails through the last seven years or the CEO of Southwest Airlines what happened with that guy I don't know that contact but he's saying to have a bad
Starting point is 00:56:18 weather and air traffic controls yeah so he basically mandated a vaccine and blamed it on air traffic control. So their employees are dropping like flies. Anyways, let us know who you think took the biggest L. I personally think it was John Gruden with the Raiders. But thanks, guys. See ya. I like these two.
Starting point is 00:56:38 So what's the Southwest first? So Southwest made vaccines mandatory. On what, for the employees? For the employees. So all the flight attendants and the pilots, they went on protest. So I was in Vegas this past weekend flying back home. And I get there and the lady from Clear is like, honey, just nice black lady. She's like, honey, you sure your flight's going out?
Starting point is 00:56:57 I'm like, yeah, why wouldn't it? Because I'm on social media. I don't know what the fuck's going on. And she goes, you know, because of the vaccine mandate, they're protesting. So they canceled 500 flights out of here. She's like, most people's flights are canceled. I'm like, what the fuck's going on. And she goes, you know, they're because the vaccine mandate, um, they're protesting. So they canceled 500 flights out of here. She's like, most people flights are canceled. I'm like, what the fuck? So I looked it up.
Starting point is 00:57:10 My flight was still good. But what's in, she goes, now they're going to tell you it's because of weather. She goes, how was the weather in camera? There's not a fucking cloud in the sky. She goes, you're going to hear it's weather. It's not weather hunting. And the reason why they had to say weather, you know why? They don't want the backlash, right?
Starting point is 00:57:23 No, no, no, no. They have to say weather. Cause then they don't have to pay for hotels and all that kind of stuff. If it's their fault, they have to cover you. That makes sense. Yeah, so they're like, ooh. So Southwest did that. They're losing their ass. They're going to have to back step on that.
Starting point is 00:57:38 And then you know what happened with John Gruden. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I want to ask you about, I was thinking about you about John Gruden. Oh, I have a lot to say about this. Well, explain it to me. I don't know what happened. Explain it to me you about i was thinking about you about john gruden i have a lot to say to me i don't know what happened explain it to me i'll explain to you so the way this john gruden thing happened is there's an investigation going on with the the washington football team aka the redskins right and dan snyder there's all this shady shit he's a complete piece of shit
Starting point is 00:57:59 and why why that's too much to get into okay just take word for it. He's a bad dude for a million reasons. There's been an ongoing investigation within his organization. Them looking into his organization, the computer and everything, they found 650 emails from John Gruden to Dan Snyder and the owner there and a bunch of other guys. In those emails from 2008 to 2018, there's emails calling Roger Goodell a maggot but with an F. There's him saying, you know, like this guy has Mitchell and Tyre lips, referring to a black guy with big lips. It's him like telling people.
Starting point is 00:58:37 All that. Yeah. And then he calls Roger Goodell like a clueless pussy, all this stuff. So it's all these emails. Gotcha. And I'm sure he should be fired because 70% of the NFL is black. Nobody's going to respect him. Nobody's going to listen to him.
Starting point is 00:58:55 So you got to get him out there just from a football standpoint. To me, you look at the bigger picture, and I'm not condoning what he did, but if we went through everyone's texts and emails in here, when you were emotional, because he was emotional at that time because the NFL was going to do a lockdown, do all that shit, so he was emotional sending these emails. Doesn't excuse him for it, but I'm just saying, if you take it outside of football into the real world, and we start looking at all your emails and texts, there's going to be some shit in there you're going to get some shit for. So looking at his personal emails, to me, it's kind of dicey, man.
Starting point is 00:59:33 I know what you're saying, but here's my – let me – I'll go and then you go. Now, is this the white part of Eric or the black part? This is all the parts. All right. All right. If you say stuff in private And once it becomes public You have to answer for it Even if you didn't mean it or not
Starting point is 00:59:50 I mean the analogy I use is like If you walk past your mom and you step on her foot You didn't do it on purpose But you're still going to say sorry Yeah but should you be cancelled? The whole world saw your mom step on your foot? No but here's the thing though She's cancelled or not like he's not he he quit he resigned even though they were gonna have
Starting point is 01:00:10 but they were gonna fire for a lot of the reasons you're saying about and i think they went to him and said you know we can use this clause uh you know i'm sure he has a clause a character clause in his contract we can nullify this whole 100 million dollars or you can resign and we'll let you get this amount and so i'm sure there's some behind the scenes thing there and like you said about you know it's a it's over 80 black in the nfl he's gonna have to come in there and deal with that yeah so it's probably like bet and they weren't winning so it's probably they were though this is a great no not in the last no no they he they lost two games in a row now and they haven't looked
Starting point is 01:00:41 good you know it's like they're on the right track yeah they're three and two and there's other teams that are better but anyway so here's my thing about this it like he's the now the fall guy but he was sending emails like this to big boys to other people but not just other people big boys i know for seven years right and and and they had nothing to say like this is a bigger problem where I'm at with it yeah this is a bigger problem is Dan Snyder but the problem is what's all of this I would know what I'm saying is this is all of it like because here's my finger so if you and I have an email chain for ten years right and because they're older so emails to them are like texts, right? They're not texts. They're not fucking emailing each other.
Starting point is 01:01:27 So they were sending pictures of naked cheerleaders from the Washington football team, which is a whole other thing. They did that? Yeah. So Dan Snyder forced these cheerleaders to fly across the seas, and then they forced them to go on dates with these upper echelon guys. Basically, human trafficking. That's facts.
Starting point is 01:01:43 We know that for... nothing happened to him. He's a billionaire. He's the one you want to go after. He's the Harvey Weinstein and all this shit. Yeah, yeah. I feel like Gruden through the emails
Starting point is 01:01:51 is the fall guy. That's what I'm saying. You can't fuck with Dan Snyder. He's a billionaire. Yeah, but John Gruden. But is there something to it where. He's not a good,
Starting point is 01:01:59 I mean, he's like, he wasn't being a good guy in this moment, but what he was doing was he thought he was making a private, he thought he was sending private stuff that it was just going be between him and his wife my thing is that not okay no no what i'm saying is like listen listen what we're talking about right now it's a private conversation let me let me let me let me finish here what we're saying is
Starting point is 01:02:20 like like as a comic i totally get this because as a comic we say a lot of outlandish shit to each other especially like a group tag and a group text we say a lot of outlandish shit to each other but when that becomes public you do have to answer for it i don't think so no it does dude if you're saying something like if you if we're making fun of somebody that's a friend or a colleague and we're saying things about them in a text and that stuff comes to light you got to answer for it you're gonna have to totally go that person and be like and we were saying things about them in a text and that stuff comes to light, you got to answer for it. You're going to have to tell that person and be like, we were just messing around, man. And it was like, you know, you have to explain yourself.
Starting point is 01:02:50 It is what it is, all right? So he was saying all this stuff, right? Yeah, you know, Roger Goodell's going to be like, yo, dude, that's how you felt about me? Yeah, if he feels like now he could be like, yeah, I felt that way because you did this, this, and this. That's their private thing. But it did become public.
Starting point is 01:03:05 And once things become public, you have to answer for them. Now, how far does that go is what you're talking about. Should a person be canceled? Should their jobs or livelihood be taken away and all that kind of stuff? That's a whole other discussion. But what we're really talking about right now is, is he a good or bad guy? And they're trying to determine that based off this. Being racist or whatever, it's about a pattern of behavior not a moment in time so like if you're in your car and like you know
Starting point is 01:03:30 stevie cuts you off and you're gonna make some terrible asian joke in your head in your car you're like oh of course a freaking asian or a woman or you know oh look at this fat guy you know we always go to like our like that's what trolls do trolls are just shallow base level things that they say and they and they come at you and they like you know you oh you're old you're fat you're whatever they come to those things and that's when you really want to judge somebody is like in their calm moments you know and they're like regular everyday yeah he's talking more on privacy his thing you're talking about different things. He's talking about an issue of privacy. You know, because these guys thought in private,
Starting point is 01:04:10 you know, just talking to the homies, and only the homies will see it. They're all really close friends. Yeah, I know what he's talking about. I know, I know. If you're emailing somebody for eight years, you're boys. I know, but what I'm saying is once something becomes public. Even though it's not meant to be. It's like, it doesn't matter though.
Starting point is 01:04:22 It does though, Aaron. No, it doesn't. Because if he knew that was going to get out and still talk like it, it's like, oh, you're a does though no it doesn't because if you knew that was gonna get out and still talk like it's like oh you're a piece of shit no no i i understand that but once it's also a hide it like once something becomes public you have to answer for it you can't your excuse can't be well this was just between me and my friend we go yeah but like we saw it so we saw you say something really outlandish and it comes across as racist homoph homophobic, misogynistic, whatever the things you're going to say. So would you give him a pass?
Starting point is 01:04:47 He's like, yeah, we bullshit like this all the time. That's how me and my friends talk. I didn't mean to offend anybody because this is how we talk to each other. I know. This isn't for the public. I understand that, but like, right. And so let's say you're offended by it, but he's like, this wasn't for you, bro. I know.
Starting point is 01:05:01 I understand that. But it's out. And he's like, yeah, I know. It's out. It's out. I wish you didn't see those things. That's what he said. But it's not for you. i know i understand that it's out and he's like yeah i know it's out it's out i wish you didn't see those things i wish that's what he said but it's not for you i know but that's what he said but the thing is it's still if he offended people those people are allowed to have feelings about it like i don't care that you were saying that to your friend
Starting point is 01:05:17 so you were talking shit behind my back and now it got to me i can have feelings about that if if there's an email chain with like you and stevie and they're being like i don't know if i like eric on the show because he's a blah blah it doesn't matter if even if you were joking okay he's saying it's okay so if you were joking and saying some racist homophobic stuff about me and i got out i'm allowed to be like yo dude you know what the difference is so let's say you and stevie had a text thread let's say you and stevie has text yeah go ahead brandon and you're making fun of me like doing all this shit oh we do that yeah i'm sure like
Starting point is 01:05:55 clown like right clowning me doing all this shit and then he accidentally sent me that i'd be like yo dog what the fuck what's up and you're like ah we're just fucking around that's how i've been like oh that makes sense i know but here's like, ah, we're just fucking around. That's how I've been like, oh, that makes sense. I know, but here's the thing, though. But we're friends. Those guys are friends. I know. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:06:09 Not the people they were talking about. Okay. Fair point. Not the people they were talking about. Well, let's come up with a solution. So I understand. There's no. There's no.
Starting point is 01:06:17 There is. There is a solution. There is. There's a. There's a. How about you just be a good person? A hundred percent of the time. You don't drop the bomb.
Starting point is 01:06:24 You're just a good person. That way, you don't have to worry about any of this. Okay, so that's the idealistic way to think. And that's what Twitter's trying to make everybody feel like. And what Brendan is saying is... Because I never drop those words. I never say those words. Sometimes when I'm playing Warzone, I might say...
Starting point is 01:06:40 I might slip up. I never say the N-bomb, but i might say a different word and be like fuck you know or you know or but at that time that doesn't represent stevie as a human being is what i'm trying to say oh that's you got a heightened sense there and you're trying to say whatever is to hurt that kid whatever you shot in the face with a fake i don't know who i i don't know who shot me it's just i'm just angry that i lost. But you know, by saying whatever you say, it's not the same as this email though, because he knew exactly who he was talking to. He knew exactly what he was saying.
Starting point is 01:07:11 He chose his words carefully. When you were sitting in front of a computer and you were writing, like you don't write how you talk. You don't, I don't go like you stupid, boo, boo, boo, boo. And then I send, no, he wrote that out, man. He thought that out. He, he, and, and, you know. And he did it and he sent it. Oh, I see your point.
Starting point is 01:07:27 So it's okay that like. Premeditated. It was premeditated. So he said this to people. He thought it was like this is going to be between us. And I get that point. I'm not taking away that point. What I'm saying is it does not excuse his language and behavior it don't excuse it yep
Starting point is 01:07:47 i'm not saying that's who he is all i'm saying is it don't excuse it when the person hears about it i'm okay with these people coming out and being like hey man you want to talk outside about what you're saying about me it's okay and it's not up to him to say it's not up to gruden to say hey guys i'm not racist. I just said this privately. I don't care. You know what? You talk about me. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:09 So I'm going to let you know when I'm over it. You know? And that's what happened in this situation. So he was like, man, it's a lot of smoke. He didn't want to deal with it. He made his $35 million. He didn't want to coach anyway. He came back into it.
Starting point is 01:08:22 But I don't think he can deal with all this smoke. The league's different now, and he's just like, you know what? I'm good. I'm out. Well, I stand by this. Brendan has lips like Michelin tires too. He got them DSLs. No, you don't say nothing bad.
Starting point is 01:08:35 No, come on. Brendan, you're a sweet guy. What are you saying? You don't say nothing like – I mean, our group chats You know with comics Like with Brian Delir me Or me
Starting point is 01:08:47 Rogan You know it's like If that stuff got out So language changes Because you're talking to homies Like the language It changes a little bit But if that were filmed
Starting point is 01:08:55 And it was put out I'd be accountable for it You'd have to be accountable for it That's all I'm saying Let's see what she's got to say Okay Can't get her singing Here we go
Starting point is 01:09:02 On to the next This little apocalypto diamond. Alice from New York City. So my boyfriend recently admitted that he's peed in our kitchen sink before. I've done that a million times. I was pretty shocked. I feel like a
Starting point is 01:09:17 fucking hell's angel when I do it. And I still can't believe that he's done it. Oh, that's nothing. He's done this a couple of times. Well, Steve, not everybody's sink and toilet is the same thing. So, yeah. What do you guys think? Everyone washes their dishes in their toilet, Steve.
Starting point is 01:09:36 First of all, dude. Steve puts the dishes in. No, I really mean this one. Nick, I swear to God, you have to shit timestamp that one. Because you're shaming my apartment again, and that's a private thing that I, you know. I feel like. I've pissed in Gatorade bottles. I've done that a million times.
Starting point is 01:09:51 I feel like only girls have a problem with people peeing in sinks. I do it all the time. All the time. In a hotel, my girl. You know what, dude? If we both have to take a piss, we're in like a hotel and there's one bathroom, and we rush in, I'll be like, I gotta pee. I'm like, me too. I'm peeing in the sink. You know what happens when you keep doing that?
Starting point is 01:10:09 I was addicted to it at one point. Don't ask me why. That's a two hour thing. It is freeing. In the piping, there's these little fruit flies. That's something else, Doug. Fruit flies don't come from pigs.
Starting point is 01:10:24 No, there's these little these little flying mat things. Sounds like Steve's response right now. They start coming out of the hole of the sink. It's disgusting. Because you've got to pour bleach down there and clean your apartment sometimes. Steve, it sounds like you're shitting in the sink. Thanks for tuning in, guys. Another great episode.
Starting point is 01:10:43 You know the part of the toilet? You know that part with the wall that's where Steve keeps dishes what did you say hold up what did you just say say it again
Starting point is 01:10:53 no we're time stamping thanks for tuning in guys we got that's terrible by the way we didn't even answer her like I think it's like you have to have a hygiene
Starting point is 01:11:02 talk with your man that's all look you can't unknow what you know listen now every time she looks at that sink she's like there's pee in there it's just pee baby what do you mean it's just pee baby just piss yeah pee well she steps on a jellyfish he's gonna be like well i guess you don't want my pee now yeah that's dead that's dirty let's see what this guy's got. Oh, fuck. Oh, Jesus.
Starting point is 01:11:27 Oh, fuck. I got to king it and sting it for you boys. Adults playing on trampolines. I don't know, on the other day, I fractured my neck. Got a plate put in the back after a seven-hour surgery. Fuck! Also, I'm going to take the opportunity to roast the hosts. Brendan, you look like a general manager at the last sharp rummage on Earth.
Starting point is 01:11:51 Theo, you look like you run an ant farm factory. Buzz, buzz, neck plate. Love you guys. Love the show. Thanks. I love this guy. Okay, well, first of all, he needed to add to it a grown person drinking on a trampoline. Sting it.
Starting point is 01:12:08 Sting it. You know, besides pools, trampolines are the most dangerous thing for kids, let alone a grown-ass adult. I'd stay away from them. You could catch air, dude. You could get so much air on them. Kids get so fucked up on them. Oh, really?
Starting point is 01:12:19 My kids ask for them. I'm like, get the fuck out of here. Might as well give you a gun. That must be difficult. Like, are you telling your kids not to do dangerous stuff and they're like look at your ears dad talk about dangerous stuff you're getting your body pounded
Starting point is 01:12:31 for five years I just noticed that I just noticed that right now so that's kind of a huge you're going to be one of those like what if your kids want to fight absolutely not though are they going to wrestle? they're wrestling right now you see how the sausage is made you know what i'm saying but
Starting point is 01:12:50 your kid is also gonna be like but dad look what this provided for us no i get it i want to do the same thing and i went through this shit and got ct so you don't have to yeah i'm with you on that who's this done oh you fucking strong you got me ape. I bet. I bet. You got me fired up. I'm sorry. I saw those tits. It was like, yeah. We covered this a little bit earlier, but. Tits?
Starting point is 01:13:13 Big tits? We'll see. Hi, Brendan. Hi, Theo. Dime. Stevie, Montez. I think you guys should come to Nashville and film a live King and the Sting. I think it would be so fun.
Starting point is 01:13:25 You guys can come out and go through Broadway and all through Nashville. But come to Zany's and have a live taping of King and the Sting. I think that would be awesome. Tickets on me, girl. And bring that food you make. So, yeah, King and the Sting. Are you guys coming or not? Broadway. Well, you know coming or not? Broadway.
Starting point is 01:13:46 Well, you know what? We're coming. King her. I told Theo this this morning. I said we should do some King and the Sting shows. Yep. Like stand-up live shows. Here's the plan.
Starting point is 01:13:55 Stevie hosts it. He's going to do comedy. Then I come out, do 15. Then you come out, do whatever. Whatever. Then Theo comes out, does whatever. Yeah, we all just do 20 or whatever it is. And then after, we all go on the stage together.
Starting point is 01:14:05 Yeah, and we do the show. I think that's a great thing. Or then fans do live King or Sting live with us on stage. Exactly, dude. That's a motherfucking show. It's like Doug Benson's been doing that forever with his shows, man. Doug Benson. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:15 Doug Benson's been doing it. He's got so many live shows that he does that are associated with his podcast. We should do the same thing, man. I think we should do it. I think we should take King and Sting on the road. Yep. What do you say to that? Let me write some stuff. Don't I have to hit
Starting point is 01:14:27 open mic so I don't want to just go in cold? Don't I have to start doing that? You'll be fine. And that's a King it. She's a super King it. And what she said. King Kings. Is that it, Doug? That's it.
