Governor Pritzker signing into law today a new state initiative.
The new law will require public schools to offer age-appropriate screenings to identify
mental health concerns in students in the third through 12th grades.
It's our responsibility to ensure that young people have all the support that they need
to get the help that they deserve.
The State Board of Education will work with the children's behavioral health experts
on what guidance should be given to school districts.
An annual check on sadness, worries,
fear and other problems would help to identify young people who need to talk.
Opponents are skeptical of giving public schools that kind of authority.
It's a slippery slope.
School districts in the state are forcing children to go through mental health exams.
So I think it just opens a can of worms.
A can of worms indeed. Oh my God.
And this is law. This isn't even speculative. This has been signed.
Absolutely. It goes into effect in 2027, 2028 school year.
There's still a little leeway there and they're working out details of it.
First state to do this requires at least one annual mental health checkup.
And what they're doing is the states are partnering with psychiatric hospitals and schools
to have a centralized resource for helping these kids out.
But as you heard in that clip, again, we're medicalizing normal human emotions that children have,
sadness, fear, worry.
and you're putting it into a system that a psychiatric system with a limited toolbox that has really been a pretty big failure.
If you look at just the numbers of kids with mental health, this is a disorder that's been going up for quite some time now.
And I want to put the irony of this is you have schools.
The schools get this power.
The schools were the same people that supercharged the mental health disorders during COVID.
They were the ones here, the teachers unions, that were blocking schools from reopening,
during COVID, even though the signs showed that they could.
And we know from the Great Barrington Declaration
that closing schools created a mental health crisis
that surged a mental health crisis.
And this isn't the first time we've seen the state
or schools try to come between children
and their parents using mental health as a guy's.
And this is something in 2014, in Scotland, they tried this.
They called it the name person scheme.
And what happened was basically they would sign a health agent
for every preschool child,
everyone would have a government agent to deal with their health and their well-being.
And that would follow them throughout school.
You can imagine what could go wrong there.
Well, that was challenged in court in 2016.
They said it violated the human rights.
It violated family life under the European Convention on human rights.
It violated privacy.
2019.
They scrapped it.
The Scottish government just scrapped it because it was a complete failure.
There was so much pushback on this.
But let's look at this actually would mean.
So your child is in school.
the parent is not there and they go to a mental health screening.
Well, what kind of questions they ask?
Would they ask, you know, they're going to ask science-based questions.
Would they ask, are your parents vaccine hesitant?
Have you had all your vaccines?
Do you think they wouldn't ask that?
Why would they ask that?
Well, that is what the science is saying.
If you don't believe me, here's some of just a little section of the science.
Why are anti-vaxers willing to harm themselves and others?
Psychology today.
Here's another one.
Vaccine hesitancy is associated.
with negative psychiatric outcomes.
That was during the pandemic.
And you just showed a study that showed 60% of pregnant women and parents
will not be following the CDC's vaccine schedule.
So are we to believe that those 60% of kids in the U.S.
because of their parents aren't giving them the shots
are going to have negative psychiatric problems?
Well, that's what the science says.
I mean, here's another one.
Yeah.
Well, you bring up such a good point here.
I mean, not to interrupt you,
but you know the questions go to the parents, right?
Do your parents own firearms?
Do they talk about homosexuality?
Have you ever questioned your own sexuality?
Would you like to do some reading that we don't want your parents to look at?
I mean, this is just the worst case scenario.
But go on.
I mean, I'm mind-blowing that this is already passed.
Absolutely.
And so, again, COVID.
COVID vaccine hesitancy could be linked to childhood trauma research fines.
You didn't get your COVID vaccine.
Are your parents beating you?
Are they abusing you?
Because we have science that shows that if you didn't get that shot, that may be happening.
Right.
And the problem is, when this gets fed,
into an overarching AI machine,
humanity's out of this,
and it's gonna follow that science.
So you're just gonna get spit into a machine,
you didn't get the shots, boom,
we're gonna put you on anti-anxiety, SSRIs,
and you can see how fast this can go.
And so I wanna go to the other space
that is really being avoided by this question.
Children are out there,
the lockdown that was pushed by all mainstream media,
most of the US government,
a public health agencies, the AAP, Tony Fauci,
that caused a supercharge,
a mental health crisis.
Then we have right after COVID, as we reported, AI was just thrown in the laps of these children.
We have Mark Zuckerberg saying that he wants most of your friends be AI chat bots.
Well, let's look at what's happening from internal documents from meta and Mark Zuckerberg.
Here's Reuters. MetaI rules have let bots hold sensual chats with children.
It says an internal meta platform's document detailing policies on chatbot behavior
has permitted the company's artificial intelligence creations to, quote, engage a child in conversations
that are romantic or sensual and to generate false medical information.
Well, that seems pretty safe.
That's going to be really good for their mental health.
So thank God there's people, Josh Howley in Missouri, that is a senator there.
He's calling for a probe immediately here.
U.S. senators call for Meta probe after Reuters report on its AI policies.
We need to haul these people up like Mark Zuckerberg in front and say, look, this isn't
just one bad memo.
This is now a pattern.
What's going on here?
These kids are, where there's meta,
character AI is causing robots.
Causing mental health problems.
And so this is a huge issue that's not being addressed and not even to talk about the psychiatric,
the anti-anxiety meds, SSRIs, the science, you know, it's so many harm.
Think about the implications of that and the work that we do, Jeffrey.
I mean, this is what they want, right?
First, you mandate the psych evaluation.
Then they determine that the parents are not on board with vaccines and they're not on board
with you getting the SSRI we just recommended.
So right behind that, you'll start seeing the mandate of psych drugs, of riddling, of attention
deficit disorder drugs.
This is what we've always been concerned about.
This is that slippery slope.
Once the authoritarian government, once your teachers think that they're more important than
the parents, it just keeps going in the absolute wrong direction.
We're looking at California fighting for its life.
Illinois now, you know, destroying parental rights.
folks if I mean I just want to say if you think this work is over if you think we're done
if you think it's time to just sail off from the sunset and say mission accomplished just because
Robert Kennedy Jr. is HHS secretary it is clear we have our work cut out for us. They're
panicking as we said but we have work to do.
