The Highwire with Del Bigtree - SHOCKING TESTIMONY REVEALS NIH FUNDING GAIN-OF-FUNCTION RESEARCH AND AVOIDING FOIA REQUESTS

Episode Date: June 1, 2024

As the investigation into the origins and handling of the COVID-19 pandemic takes center stage through congressional hearings, shocking testimony is being revealed to the public. Shockingly, Dr. Lawre...nce Tabak, principal Deputy Director of the National Institutes of Health, has admitted under oath that NIH was funding gain of function research. In an even more shocking turn, newly released emails from Dr. David Morens, who worked as Senior Advisor to the Director at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases directly under Dr. Anthony Fauci, reveal shocking revelations that senior officials at NIH were purposely using private emails and having in person conversations to avoid FOIA requests. Amidst all of this, HHS has stripped all funding from Peter Daszak, and Eco Health Alliance.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-highwire-with-del-bigtree--3620606/support.

Starting point is 00:00:00 For anybody that's been paying attention, especially over these last two weeks, it's becoming clear that we are watching perhaps the greatest public health scandal of our time from the U.S. government. What am I talking about? Well, let's just go right into this and unpack it because we have a lot of work to do here today. Let's look at Lawrence Tabick. Lawrence Tabick took over from Francis Collins as acting director of the National Institutes of Health at the height of the pandemic. He was brought before the select subcommittee on the coronavirus pandemic last week. And, well, just check it out. All right. Dr. Tabick, did NIH fund gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology through Echo Health?
Starting point is 00:00:45 It depends on your definition of gain of function research. If you're speaking about the generic term, yes, we did. If you're speaking about the dictionary description, if you use, wanted to go to Tony Fauci's word salad description, then maybe not some. I mean, like, I don't know what generic is supposed to mean. I guess the general term. Yeah, okay, the buck stops here. And it's interesting because everyone's coming forward with these admissions. Some of these are in emails. Some of these are like Dr. Tabick just said they're just coming forward. And it's interesting, too, that, you know, just a couple weeks ago, the New York Times and others have really just turned
Starting point is 00:01:24 and started talking about vaccine injury and started reporting on that. these things. So they're here to catch this narrative as well. So you can look and these are the headlines that are being created from the New York Post from that from that Lawrence Tabick interview, NIH official finally admits taxpayers funded gain of function research in Wuhan after years of denial. And so things move pretty fast here. The remaining semblance of sanity in the U.S. government is acting on these developments. So if your EcoHealth Alliance, you received a letter in the mail just last week from the Department of Health and Human Services. That is the overseeing agency, overseeing NIH, CDC, NIAID, and it looked like this. It says,
Starting point is 00:02:03 this is to provide notification that on behalf of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, HHS, I have suspended and proposed for DeBarmint Eco Health Alliance, Incorporated, from participating in United States federal government procurement and non-procurement programs. So they are suspending them. They are no longer able, that organization is no longer able to use tax dollars, American tax dollars, to fund these experiments. But just this week, Just a couple days ago, Peter Dazick, the head of EcoHealth Alliance, received the same letter. So now his organization and he himself have been suspended and they're proposing debarment by the Department of Health and Human Services. But interestingly, it also says this in both those letters, the EcoHealth and Dazek says HHS believes there is adequate evidence in the record for this debarment cause and that immediate action is necessary to protect the public interest.
Starting point is 00:02:55 Wow. I mean, this sounds like we're talking about a terrorist organization here. So what do they know beyond what the public is? Essentially, whether on purpose or accidentally, they're building bio weapons, as we know it, funding, gain of functioned research, taking bird flus and trying to make them deadly and contagious and making them deadly and contagious and combining them all, making franken viruses, and then say, no, we didn't do it. And well, now we know we did do it. And so, I mean, thank God. But, you know, really, it's about time. We've had two presidents sitting on this
Starting point is 00:03:31 after probably one of the most devastating lab leaks in history has taken place. And Senator Ram Paul has not been quiet either. He's seized on this opportunity this week, writing a letter to the Attorney General of the United States, Merrick Garland. And he is asking Garland this. He says, I write to urge the U.S. Department of Justice DOJ
Starting point is 00:03:52 to open an investigation. into the alleged improper concealment and intentional destruction of records by Dr. David Morin's senior advisor to the director at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Morins has had several emails that have been publicly released now. He also just went before committee and testified regarding these emails, but let's not hear from him. Let's hear from his emails when he thought no one was watching. So let's go right into this. Now this email here, this first one, is from April of 2020. And this is from, from Dr. Morin's NIH to Peter Dazic, head of Equal Health Alliance. It says this, this is sent from my Gmail account.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Please send all replies here to Gmail. So right there, Gmail can't be FOIA requested. So he's trying to conceal it right there. He says, I have let Tony know, but have not spoken him directly. There are things I can't say except Tony is aware, and I have learned that there are ongoing efforts within NIH to steer through this with minimal damage to you. It's talking to Peter Dazick.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Peter and colleagues, and to NIH and NIAID. No guarantees, but let us hope. I imagine this will be handled at the level of Francis and Tony within NIH, and I don't expect to be in the loop. What's he talking about? Well, if you look at the subject of that email, it says actions needed regarding, and there's a grant number. You type that grant number in, and this is what comes up. Understanding the risk of bat coronavirus emergence. This is Equal Health Alliance work.
Starting point is 00:05:19 they've received millions of dollars from NIH on this. And this is what they're trying to conceal. This is what they're trying to hide. This is what they're trying to damage control in this email. He's assuring Peter Dazek that all this funding that we gave you for the bat coronavirus emergent research that you did in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. We're going to bat for you. So don't worry about that.
Starting point is 00:05:40 And it goes further. So check out this email. So this is from Peter. This is, again, from Dr. Morins to Peter Dazek. And he says this, Peter. From Tony's numerous recent comments to me and from what Francis have been vocal about over the past five years, they are trying to protect you, which also protects their own reputations. Wow. This is the United States government.
Starting point is 00:06:05 This is NIH highest officials talking to Peter Dazek. Basically, someone just received grant money. Do they go to the bat that hard for everybody? And now let's go into the FOIA requests. Freedom of Information Act request, something that ICANN has massed. masterfully used over the years. And this is actually the government's website on FOIA. We go to the U.S. government's website. It says since 1967, the Freedom of Information Act FOIA has provided the public the right to request access to records from any federal agency, as Congress, the president,
Starting point is 00:06:35 and the Supreme Court have all recognized the FOIA is a vital part of our democracy. If you turn on any mainstream channel, they're going on and on about saving our democracy. So keep that in mind, it's a vital part of our democracy. Now, let's see how Dr. David Morin's treats a FOIA, the vital part of our democracy. In his emails, he says this. P.S., now, by the way, this is 2021. He says, P.S., I forgot to say there's no worry about FOIAs. I can either send stuff to Tony on his private Gmail or hand it to him at work or at his house. He is too smart to let colleagues and send him stuff that could cause trouble. Wow. That's to Peter Dazek. He's writing that too. Can you imagine what, first of all, what Tony Fauci and Francis calls like, who is this idiot?
Starting point is 00:07:20 Oh my God, who hired this moron? I mean, it just like, you know, with friends like this. Just stick to Gmail and all be okay. Trust me. I'm telling you everything, all of, you know, all of Francis's and Tony's secrets, I got it. We can talk about all day long. Just do it on Gmail. Amazing.
Starting point is 00:07:38 And so this, it gets even worse. This brings us to February 2021. and this is David Mourins again, and he says this. I learned from our FOIA lady here, I'm guessing he's talking about NIH, how to make emails disappear after I am foiaed, but before the search starts. So I think we are all safe.
Starting point is 00:07:58 Plus, I deleted most of those earlier emails after sending them to Gmail. And then just a day later, he goes on and says this. It's more, he's talking about this technique he has. He says it's more in line of a government secret, but too complicated to explain in an email. But I learned the tricks last year, from an old friend, Marge Moore, who heads our FOIA office and also hates FOIAs.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Perfect. Talking institutional corruption. Let's put the person that hates FOIAs in charge of FOIAs. Great idea. Now, Aaron, if you're watching right now, Aaron Sierra Lori, now you know why it's so difficult to get any responses. The person we're talking to hates FOIAs, as it turns out. Amazing.
Starting point is 00:08:36 So here's Dr. David Morin's talking about government secret. He's Mr. Secret Agent Man. he's dodging foias in the thick of things. But about eight months later, things changed. The tone of his email changed a little bit. He thought he was really clear from all of this. But look at this one. This is in October of 2021. He writes, this is to Peter Dazek. He says, Peter, I just got news that a FOIA picked up an email I sent you saying that Tony commented he was brain dead, joking, of course. However, Ron Johnson is all over it. And now after me, Tony will be pissed, rightfully so i deleted that email but i now learned that every email i ever got since
Starting point is 00:09:17 1998 is captured and will be turned over whether or not i instantly deleted it and he goes he goes gmail phone text basically this is all i need this is how you get a hold of me oh my god can you imagine receiving that email like beaters loudly like oh my god i'm so screwed This idiot. I don't know who you are. I don't know what you're talking about. Wrong number. How do you get out of this now?
Starting point is 00:09:46 I don't know what you. David, we love you. We love you, David. It's guys like you that make my job so much fun. Keep up the good work, David. Well done. Well done. Real sharp tack.
Starting point is 00:09:59 And that is Tony Fauci's senior advisor. It was, I guess, I should say. But this is what we're talking about. We're talking about high level conflicts of interest within the United States. government. And so this is an ongoing story right now. It's still unfolding. A lot of networks are not covering this. Mainstream has not picked it up. I've seen New York Post is doing a lot of work on this, but it has yet to really gain mainstream traction as it, to a level it should have. I mean, we're talking a major scandal here.
