I want to put you in a state where you are
bursting with the feeling of infinite possibility. So if you're ready for a super feel good,
the world is your oyster, anything is possible because you're unstoppable, you're invincible,
and totally worthy and deserving of everything and anything that you want conversation.
Let's get started.
Hi, it's Hillary. Welcome to the Hillary Silver Podcast.
Thanks for tuning into the conversation today. If you haven't already, it would mean so much to me
if you'd take a minute to just click that five-star rating on your podcast app,
leave a review, and subscribe so you never miss one of
my episodes. And if you're enjoying this podcast, please consider sharing it with a friend because
if you like it, they will probably like it too. I want to start off by sharing a visual
representation of my self-centered approach to being your best self, living your best life,
and getting anything you want, which is a philosophy and a method that I've developed and tested and perfected working with clients for 25 years and helping them achieve
what can sometimes feel and seem like the impossible. So this visual representation
is an hourglass shape. So imagine the hourglass in your mind and you notice it's out, in, out. Wide at the top, then narrow in the middle,
and then wide at the bottom. That is the visual representation. Outside, in, inside, out. Okay?
The wide part at the top represents all the things that we desire, what we wish for,
what we dream of, what we long for, what we're aiming for, all the externals,
love, health, wealth, success, even if that thing is an internal state of being, like
being more happy or more content, it is still an end result that we're seeking.
So it's this open, wide top is vast and it can be anything.
But then it goes narrow in the middle, which represents bringing
it in close and going internal as the way to get it, bringing it in to you, your psychology.
You are the power source. You are the generator. You and only you doing what you need to do within
your own mind and in your being and in your deep self, your inner being and who you doing what you need to do within your own mind and in your being and
in your deep self, your inner being and who you are.
That is the way to begin getting whatever you want.
And then it goes out again wide at the bottom because when you go through that process of
pulling in the focus, you then begin to see your desires materialize,
to become realized, to manifest. And the process of going internal grows you. It takes you to the
next level. It expands your identity and grows your capacity in a way that allows you to not
just get that initial thing that you desire, but anything
that you desire.
So it casts out wide again to represent the many things available to you when you do this
work on yourself.
What this means is that rather than chasing after your end result of that which you desire,
you get clear what that is, but then you look within and ask yourself growth-oriented questions.
It's a process of self-inquiry.
Things like, how am I holding myself back?
What do I believe about myself?
What do I need to believe instead if I'm going to fulfill my desire?
Who do I need to become in order to live the life I want with this desire realized?
Let me say that last one again.
Who do I need to become to live the life that I want when this desire is realized?
Only then will you begin to see your desires really start to take shape.
So if losing weight or being stronger and maintaining your body is what you want, rather
than following a diet plan and a
workout regimen and trying and trying and trying. The calorie counting, the steps, the macros,
the clocking in and out at the gym, going paleo or keto or fasting or weight training. Instead of
all of that, you go internal and focus on your inner world. Yes, you still take action, but that is actually secondary. If you
don't believe you are capable of achieving it, you won't. And if you don't feel worthy of what
it is that you desire, you will never receive it in this life. If you don't talk to yourself like
a winner, you will lose. If you don't think like your future self, the version of you who is already fit and
strong living life that way, and keep thinking like the person who has struggled with weight
your whole life, you will stay exactly as you are.
You have to grow on the inside first in order to see yourself grow and your life grow on
the outside.
It's the inner state of being that you must first experience
before you can get the external thing that you want. So some of you might not like what I'm
going to say right now, but it is the truth. So I'm going to say it, okay? The truth will set you
free, right? We know that. We all deserve the truth and I'm not going to lie to you. And if
you've been with me through many of these conversations, you already know that I call this the bitter pill and the magic pill all at once.
And that is that you are the only thing standing in your way of where you are now and where you
want to be. You are the obstacle keeping you from getting what you desire. Yes, you. You are the
problem, my friends. Yes, it's the bitter pill, but it's also the magic
pill if you're willing to swallow it down because you need to look no further than the mirror for
all the answers. You are the answer. You are the solution. Here's the thing. No one is coming to
rescue you, to save you, to help you, to do it for you.
You have to save yourself and you have to be your own hero.
You cannot control external circumstances or conditions.
You can't control other people and you can't change what has happened to you in the past.
But you can grab the wheel and take control of what's to come by choosing to focus on you.
No matter what has happened to you in this life, it is up to you to deal with it, to
make peace with it, to make meaning of it, and to make it work for you rather than against
you.
That is a decision that you have to make.
And I like to say this, your past doesn't define you, your parents don't define you,
and your peers don't define you, your parents don't define you, and your peers don't
define you. You define you. I was going to cuss, but I decided not to. You effing define you.
To be fully self-defining is the ultimate in personal power. All the power is already within
you, whether you realize it or not. To think what you want to think.
To feel how you want to feel.
To believe what you want to believe.
You have the power to be who you want to be.
To live how you want to live.
And you have the power to receive that which you desire.
Okay, so you may have noticed that I'm saying desire instead of want. Desire is the
best word ever. It suggests a stronger, more intense urge or craving rather than just simply
wanting something. There's a greater emotional charge behind it, and it implies a determination
to actively pursue the thing that you desire. It's an intention. It's a personal
declaration. And when you desire something with strong emotion behind it, you are way more likely
to receive it and make it happen. There is nothing in this life that keeps us from getting that which
we truly desire. Okay? Again, the only thing standing in the way of receiving that which you desire
is you. And that is the best thing I can tell you. It is the most liberating and empowering thing I
can say. It is all in your mind. Your mind is the source of your power. And when you change your
mind, you change your life. I know you're wondering, how do I change my mind? How do I change my brain?
I've been thinking this way since I was little. Yes, you have. It's true. And it isn't easy to do.
It can be challenging, but our brains are meant to change. We are always learning and growing.
We are always capable of learning something new, even when we're older. And it's called
neuroplasticity. There's a very specific method that I teach for changing our
brains and resetting our default automatic thoughts. And that then helps us redefine our
identity, the way we're talking to ourselves and all of that that I just talked about.
It's a combination of neuroscience and the law of attraction and the law of assumption,
all the laws of the universe, using declarations and guided visualizations. It's the method I created
without realizing I was creating a method many years ago. And it helped me go from making $150,000
a year as a therapist in private practice to running a global women's empowerment company
doing multiple eight figures. And that is the process that is in the Daily Journal.
The Daily Journal
is a digital downloadable 90-day journal, and we are going to get started using it together
January 1st with this very simple seven-day accountability challenge. The challenge is free,
but you do have to sign up for the Daily Journal program to participate. It's only $47. So I hope
you'll join us and positioned to make your deepest desires
a reality in 2025. That's all for this episode. Happy, happy new year. I will see you in January,
hopefully in the Daily Journal Challenge. And if not, I'll see you on our next episode.
