Starting point is 00:00:41 My brain is firing at like 30% capacity today. That's pretty damn good, in my opinion. Thank you. I'm very jet lagged. I was on the East Coast for 10 days. would not recommend period full stop south florida is like a different planet it truly is and anyone that's been there knows it's like it feels like everyone's a different species there all of florida sounds like it's like that there is a house it is 60 million dollars
Starting point is 00:01:19 60 million it is nine a 60 million house 60 million dollar house oh my god nine bedrooms guess how many bathrooms there's nine bedrooms 10 bathrooms 19 bathrooms 19 that means if there are two people in each room they each get their own bathroom is that not the craziest shit you've ever heard in your life that is excessive i would shit in all of those bathrooms that seems also like so much house to decorate right that's a lot of work it's a lot of work i can't even hang up my photos in this two bedroom two bathroom that i've been living in for the last eight months yeah it's you have to i feel like if you have 60 million dollars to spend on a house you probably have another like five mil to like spend on like a very good decorator that's fair but like you know
Starting point is 00:02:06 what if they're all just empty how have they slept in every room i need to know right i have so many questions what are we doing in every room it looks like a museum on the inside there's like a like the whole inside is marble you've been in it no i looked at pictures of it oh okay yeah i was curious i was like can i buy down here not that i would want to i bet i bet you could sneak in there and they wouldn't even know you were in there there's probably multiple people that have snuck in there and just nobody knows i will have to try it next time we visit your parents okay see how long we can get away with staying in there we'll make a youtube series yeah it'll be like kind of like a mr beast style video and then we'll get arrested yeah i spent a week in
Starting point is 00:02:43 a house and nobody knew that's how all of his videos start um not that i watch mr means not anymore not anymore um i was i've been fascinated keeping up with mom i've been checking in on it like periodically um but it is kind of a true crime story i don't know i follow the washington missing missing persons instagram page oh shit um like washington state yeah yeah just in case i don't know like no it's a good thing to do maybe there's someone i'll recognize around yeah that i could report that's a good idea i don't know so i'm following the washington washington state missing persons and a few months ago probably two or three months ago someone one a girl was posted and I was like reading about her and I looked up her social media her name's Nadia Cole
Starting point is 00:03:40 and she's 21 and it was like this woman like left in a frenzy from the SeaTac airport um she was supposed to travel to Europe with her family she just graduated college and that was like her graduation trip was to go to Italy with her family and um you can see that she's like distressed and frantic like getting out of the light rail and then she gets off at a stop she like left all her belongings there and um then they reported her missing because that's like not really in her character and then her fiance Aaron Ong like he and his daughter who is not Nadia's daughter um were also reported missing so what happened was like he his family helped him plan to basically kidnap his own daughter um so he could get full custody of her because he couldn't get
Starting point is 00:04:41 full custody and they were basically launching a smear campaign against his baby mama saying like whenever they would pick up the the baby that she would smell like the baby smelled like weed and dog urine and like had photo evidence of this his baby mama's house being a mess um so i had i had only like the last thing i had checked was the last update i saw was like they were had suspect they had been i can talk i promise it was suspected that they fled to mexico with the baby okay or toddler all three of all three of them so what the fuck i know and like how confusing for nadia's family yeah they're at the airport like ready to go to fucking europe and um it sounds like she like got a text and she disappeared like she was like
Starting point is 00:05:42 i'm gonna go to the bathroom yeah and she left all her shit behind yeah there's more to this story for sure you have to i like you had to have known like i need to know what he said to her for her to fucking agree to basically be an accomplice in kidnapping that's bananas there's just i always wonder like what like how these people let's say that he's this like master manipulator you know and like was able to convince her to do this crazy thing which by the way like the the steps that people will go the lengths that people will go to to get custody over a child like there have been so many instances of like somebody murdering their spouse for full custody and it's like what happens in your brain yeah where you're like right like
Starting point is 00:06:32 and i mean this isn't not as child as nobody this is this is a pretty common thing of like um some one parent wanting full custody and kidnapping the child but um this was too an egregious length i mean they're like we're gonna disappear we're gonna try and fall off the grid with this baby i just don't so we can get full custody how do these people because manipulation to this degree again say he is a master manipulator and like spearheaded this whole thing and convinced nadia to like you know the like the legwork that people have to put in to manipulate someone to that degree to then it's like you have to play the long game really to like manipulate someone that much to then like commit such a crime with you i just want to understand the psychology of
Starting point is 00:07:21 that well also they're so young i'm like is he young too yeah i think he's like 21 22 so they're both really young and i'm like you know at that age you're already pretty fucking stupid so then to be like i'm engaged to this man like this is my ride or die like future husband and this is my future daughter i'm gonna support his bullshit but the thing that makes it even crazier is his family went on this crazy smear campaign against his baby mama and like bought a website domain with like a bunch of evidence and statements about like why they trust their son and like why they think that after the kidnapping happened yeah yo and why they think the whole family is they more or less yes so the dad is like complicit in helping plan this kidnapping
Starting point is 00:08:15 yo and they like found evidence that they were communicating encoded messages i don't know i like i i was doing digging on my bus ride home so that was like the latest update i was like oh yeah i wonder what happened to that girl nadia like i wonder if they found this this couple and their their kid so I like I just did some searching today to like see what the updates were and I was just like I need to talk to someone who knows one or both of these people I need to know what they're like I need to know what the decision making process was behind this I I don't know it's it I was fascinated but I was also just thinking like let's say she this the baby mama is like a deadbeat mom like this that's not the way to fucking go about this no and then his
Starting point is 00:09:12 parents were like this country is terrible with custody battles and they castrate young men i'm like what i don't what do you know what that word means yeah um who who like have a good head on their shoulders he wanted to be in the national guard too i'm like that's not gonna happen so kiss that by that is that like the family being that way also then like run that makes me feel like maybe there's the potential of him not having thought that way until his family got into his head maybe you know yeah damn there are levels to this should we just like turn this into a true crime podcast no the um horror hour horror hour yeah horror i'm sure that's what um conservatives would call this podcast anyways the horror hour i kind of love it that's also such a mouthful
Starting point is 00:10:04 horror hour it sounds yeah it sounds just like your father was a have you seen that yeah what is the rural juror the rural juror is that 30 rock yeah it's 30 rock i uh corrected uh chat gpt last weekend on something and i've been seeing a lot of that lately for like three days nobody could tell me shit because i was like smarter than ai i'm smarter than ai it was um i was asking them for advice on my tiktok and they were like I was asking if they were able to give advice and they were like yeah just like send like all of this shit like your followers like what you want to achieve or you could send your handle and we can check it out for you and I was like okay great that's less work so I was like
Starting point is 00:11:01 here's my handle and they were like we actually can't look at your page but like if you want to send us information I was like how you just told me that I could you know and they were like you're correct we are so sorry about that mix-up what we meant to say was and it freaked me out i was like i don't know it felt very sentient for a sec there because it's never wrong you know yeah but then like you know once the fear wore off i was like fuck i'm a fucking genius i saw a guy having a whole conversation with chat gpt about how like how many r's there are in the word strawberry i saw that was that real i think so i mean there have been like a lot of issues with chat gpt in the last few months of just like giving incorrect information and the same thing it the same thing
Starting point is 00:11:48 happens with google's ai yeah because um have you heard of the dead internet theory no there's a theory that at least a third of the internet but essentially the theory is that the internet will be taken over by ai and bots and it's like we're not gonna know what the fuck was real or not so you have ai creating content so like if you google something that's viral on tiktok you'll see all these shit ai blogs yeah um and you're like i'm not getting any information from this and it's just a place where you can sell ad space yeah you know that's essentially all it is it's like oh we're getting clicks on this thing for and the ad space they're like oh yeah our billion dollars got clicks or something i don't know yeah um only marketers will understand what i'm talking about
Starting point is 00:12:41 facts uh so it's an exclusive marketing podcast and horror and sex um no but the dead internet theory is you know you have ai creating all this content and then you have a bunch of bots engaging with this fucking content so the the more ai creates content that's going to aggregate more information to ai and it'll just kind of be this like it's like an ouroboros almost you know snake eating its own tail of information that was a beautiful so we won't even know what is real content what isn't and we're a third of the internet is already like that and i mean if ai is popping up everywhere i'm like am i gonna have a job in five years we're in this moment of ai where i feel like it's so it's so good but it's also kind of uncanny valley-esque when you're
Starting point is 00:13:40 reading it and when like you know those ai voices how they're getting so good and they have like certain inflections down oh yeah scarlett johansson is suing a company for shit uh i can't remember it's it's a fucking it's a big company i can't remember which one but um they took the concept of like the movie her yeah um because that ai thing is scarlett johansson's voice yeah and they were like it would be really fucking cool if you did this and then she's like i'm not doing that that's creepy and they did it anyways that's fucked so i feel like are you familiar with the um the drake song taylor made freestyle like during the whole drake kendrick beef the whole thing except for drake's part is uses ai voices um so that he used tupac's voice to like rile up
Starting point is 00:14:30 kendrick and then he used an ai snoop dog who is that's so fucking drake is a fucking insult like yeah that's so neck beardy like i'm gonna use ai to totally fucking diss my haters and then tupac's estate was like um no it's elon musk coded it really is anyway it's gross but like that was so good like if you would have told me that that was tupac like you know on the island that he's still alive on hot take i would have believed you but it's like it's just getting so good that i do like there's all of these like youtube ai youtube channels popping up and like they're youtube channels uh-huh yeah they're what's on them it's like um like true crime stuff they'll have like true crime stories and like but you can't tell oh i hate that shit yeah and they'll
Starting point is 00:15:22 say one weird word and then the sentence will start to not make sense and you're like what the fuck is this yep yep are you a bot it's like that i've only seen a few tiktoks like that and i'm like there's a lot of tiktoks like that yeah it's and it's that's what i mean it's very uncanny valley where it's like there's one thing that's like a little off and it's like that's not how people talk yeah but you've been talking like a people the whole time so like you know it's it's a very weird it'll be one thing that will like tip you off and then the rest of it will get weirder yeah exactly yeah dead internet theory man i don't like it i'm on the part of the internet that talks about dead internet theory um brain rot and now media literacy i cannot escape the
Starting point is 00:16:03 phrase media literacy it is being shoved in my face at every corner it is interesting though last night i was a little stony baloney and went on a whole tangent to mr liz about media literacy and i was like your eyes could easily be glazed over right now he asked me he's like well what what's media literacy and asked me to explain like the things i've been seeing and then after my you know like 10 minute ted talk he was like i was like i'm sorry i'm just talking now and then he was like no uh he's like thank you for telling me about media literacy i really appreciate it's so cute well sometimes i'll just like get on a pedestal and start like narrating every thought i've ever had to him and for the most part he's pretty engaged and i love that like i really
Starting point is 00:16:55 appreciate that but there are times where i can see his eyes glaze over and i i was like to be fair whenever he talks to me about jujitsu my eyes glaze over everyone has their their things his eyes glaze over when i talk about my fairy smut i think we talked about that yeah you talked to you and him talked about it on the podcast last week i don't i can't even remember what i've talked to him about on the podcast it was such a strange experience listening to you guys talk on the podcast i was like he's me mr liz is sitting in for me i know so it really felt like it was very like meta for me you know what i mean in like a beautiful way he could never replace you I was that's what I was looking for he kept stopping me and asking questions and I was like
Starting point is 00:17:39 Amelia wouldn't do this I miss her professionalism and then like even after we got started he's like well I could set up my my microphone in in like because he games with like a nice microphone oh it's like I could set up that microphone and I was like well how long would that take and he's like it could easily take up to an hour if like he wanted to fuck around with it and I was like I it is already by the time we were recording i think it was already 8 30 p.m or something i'm like i'm already about to go to bed yeah this is my face wash time and instead of recording you're infringing on my face wash time yeah it's like no how about we just you use the backup microphone because i don't want to fucking do that yeah yeah the quality was pretty good well done good thank
Starting point is 00:18:25 you and also well done mr liz thank you for stepping in yeah um i love talking to him so it's even better i get to record it you did the um word association which was one of the ideas that i had for when i got back and i was listening to it i was like damn it because they do that on the um the basement yard podcast and they're so fucking funny because they'll just throw a word at each other and then they'll just they won't even think because i feel like a lot of the time with word association people are like okay coins and the person's like um corner cash you know but it's like just saying a word really fast back is never not funny yeah it hits every time i want to know the first thing you thought yeah well let's play it next week okay i love it um i came
Starting point is 00:19:08 up with a new game okay i'm gonna actually give you some background you know how couples sometimes do this thing where they like nag each other publicly and you're kind of like do they hate each other or are they just playing around so i came up with this game called is it a joke or are you trying to catch that smoke? Joker smoke. Yeah. Joker smoke. And so I came up with some examples of this because I see it frequently and I never think to write it down. So I came up with four and maybe we can think of some more together, but I want to get your take on whether or not you think that this is a joke or if they're trying to catch that smoke. Okay. Okay. The couple's name that I'm going to use for these examples are Marissa and Jack. Okay. Just so we can keep it
Starting point is 00:19:52 straight okay so when a couple has a sign at a wedding that says marissa's wedding featuring jack smoke or joke or joke or smoke um oh man i mean joke but like a little too far absolutely see that's the thing is like does jack that's also so heterosexual it absolutely is it absolutely is like oh i'm dragging him down the aisle kicking and screaming right it's like i plan this whole thing this is just for me and he's just like in it all a girl wants is a wedding yeah right so it's like yeah it's a joke but like clouded in a little bit of smoke yeah yeah because ideally we would like to see um him like very uh enthusiastically marrying you absolutely yeah like if anybody said that to
Starting point is 00:20:52 me on my wedding day like oh it's Amelia's wedding like featuring Frank I would be like what do you mean by that like am I being that much of a nightmare no I don't mean yeah and I'd be like you don't even know them yeah as a couple right I don't know if that if that was something you just like they decided that together i don't know yeah i feel like that's just indicative of future divorce yeah totally absolutely okay second one um somebody saying something like happy 30th birthday finally acting your age smoke smoke that's big smoke it feels like people say that type of shit to be like like you know just joking around like just joshing no it's so mean what does that even mean right like acting my age like am i old are you saying that i act like an
Starting point is 00:21:44 old person like what also i'm 30 he's saying i was immature or like i was too mature like because i'm getting older oh i interpreted it as like an insult like you're finally acting your age like you're finally acting like an adult either any way that it can be it's still insulting yeah you're right you're right it's smoke at every angle i don't like it i don't okay cool i agree with you okay um so okay back to like marissa and jack here okay okay when people are saying congratulations to marissa for finally getting jack to settle down joke or smoke joke maybe elaborate well because they're like oh congratulations you finally got him to settle down
Starting point is 00:22:37 or whatever i would assume i don't know if i would initially take that as like a jab at me and more so at like oh this guy was like a dingus until he met you yeah you know yeah like because i i i honestly think i'll give an example um so i had some family visit this weekend and mr liz oh my god was host of the century like i i even wrote about it in my journal i was like i need to remember how amazing of a weekend this was because he was just so thoughtful and gracious and like I don't know he made even me feel special like the fact that he went to such great lengths to be such a great and caring host for like people who aren't even his family right it I don't know anyways um I overheard um my family like ask him like are you the oldest sibling or like do you
Starting point is 00:23:39 have any younger siblings because they're trying to get an understanding of like oh you have to be the responsible one type of thing yeah and he was like yeah I am the oldest but I've also like changed a lot and I've heard that from several of Mr. Liz's friends like that he has kind of like matured a lot and kind of settled down more and they're like yeah he like wasn't like that until he started dating you and I never once like asked him to change or tried to change him like these are all things that he chose to do because he wanted to yeah so that's why I wouldn't think that it's necessarily an insult but that I'm also looking at it through my perspective totally of like oh well neither Mr. Liz nor I like have tried to change the other person or like yeah
Starting point is 00:24:30 had to do something like that where I feel like you see so many couples especially heterosexual couples where it's like yeah this person has potential and you're trying you're like identifying things you want to change about them to mold them into the partner you want totally instead of just kind of like choosing to mature your mature your life together grow together yeah yeah totally no for sure no that's a good way to look at it there is something very um flattering about like being the being the one that's able to like tame the beast so to speak in like extreme terms you know what i mean like it's like oh he like wanted to settle down for me like i get what you mean yeah yeah but also it's like i feel like this kind of thing like it's like if somebody's saying it from
Starting point is 00:25:26 the perspective of like marissa got jack to finally propose you know it's like oh you finally you finally convinced him you know like i feel like and maybe this is also like i feel like i had to get into this headspace when i was growing up of i read somewhere that if you're offended by something think of three reasons why it has nothing to do with you and like a lot of them a lot of these that's a really good advice yeah because a lot of the time it's like you can think of three reasons yeah i think you should repeat it what i just said yeah whenever you're offended about something think of three reasons why it has nothing to do with you that I'm gonna tattoo that that should be the 11th commandment like I'm serious you guys this is that was like so fucking
Starting point is 00:26:13 smart no genuinely it is a really good thing like if you're getting like all bent out of shape about something like I don't know if you have a passive-aggressive co-worker or whatever you can just think of like three reasons that is not about you yeah and that's a good way to kind of take a step back and be like whatever that's that they're bullshit yeah or you know if you're offended about something kind of stupid like an example i'm thinking of i don't even know if i've told this story on the podcast um these are people that i'm like not friends with i just know of them but um one person a woman she was like walking ahead of a group of friends and um they're like hey slow down you're walking too fast and she's like sorry just have long legs and she's tall
Starting point is 00:27:01 and um someone's new-ish boyfriend is a short king and he took that personally he's like you're implying i'm short like what the fuck are you saying about that the fact that this person was like i'm gonna make this about me is i was my jaw was on the ground i was like what he was just waiting for an opportunity to get his shit off i was like and the and the woman he's dating too i'm like she's so fucking cool why would she like date this dork ass loser but i also don't we see that all the time where you're like we're your friends with like the baddest bitch and then she like dates the most insecure loser yeah you're like what he was he was all it's like the people that are just waiting to jump on something as being offensive piss them off yeah well you have
Starting point is 00:27:48 to stretch when you're short burn he'll never hear this um he doesn't even know who i am or that i exist or that i have a podcast so who's listening like hey wait is this is this fucking play about us i have one more okay hit me not related to relationships at all but um like when you're about to go on pto at work and somebody says finally you can stop pretending to work smoke or joke that's smoke i'm going to hr yeah yeah that's all the smoke yeah but people say that shit all the time unless you are like like work besties yeah and you have like a rapport with them where you can joke about things like that yeah and then you guys know how much work you're each doing like otherwise that's all smoke yeah no yes yeah it really does it is
Starting point is 00:28:49 relationship dependent you've witnessed that kind of like I just feel like that's the kind of tone that people will say certain things when they're trying to be like a bud like a we're like buds and we like joke around with each other and it's just like don't I don't know you like that they're trying to joke around with you but also like insult you yeah like here's another example I went this happened like two days ago our family friend we were getting dinner with our family friend in Michigan and I was saying how I needed to pack because like my shit was just like all over the place and he was like oh that surprises nobody and I was like hey uh you don't where are you coming from with that but it was a joke you know but it was smoke because you don't know me
Starting point is 00:29:35 like that so i feel like people try to like joke like above their league yeah and that that makes it smoke joking out joking above your above your league yeah you're you're joking above your weight yeah that's what that's a better phrase joking above your weight and that was the first installment of joking above your pay grade joking above your pay grade yeah no you're um that was the first installment of is that a joke or are they catching that smoke it it it can't be so awkward too when couples like will pick at each other a little bit i feel like i do that to mr liz sometimes but i don't i know that if i took it too far he would absolutely tell me most of the time when i'm throwing shade it's about how much he farts and i we did that on the podcast and it's not just a
Starting point is 00:30:28 bit you guys he spoke he smokes he farts so much that are i think i think my lungs are indestructible now men per capita that's not the word i'm looking for farts per capita men have more farts per capita yeah i would agree with that which why is it that like why is that it's like cows and then men yeah directly right under cows and then they're putting a hole in the ozone just like me when my tummy hurts yeah i'm just kidding cows men live with a tummy ache i will say when we went surfing i swallowed so much ocean water that the next day my farts smelled kind of salty and i was farting a lot wow so that's the human body that's the beauty of the human body i was like maybe it's just in my head that my farts smell like salt right now what are farts if not time capsule of
Starting point is 00:31:25 good times or bad you know you never know you ever had the hungover shits yeah those are always honestly they're always the best shits for me because it's usually like on the tail end of being like very backed up yeah yeah that's that's fair it's like dulcolax and alcohol are both they team up they they're just the best possible laxatives for me team up to clear your bowels yeah oh they're beautiful in beautiful harmony you know i'll have to try that next time i'm backed up dulcolax and alcohol yeah maybe not let's make a song about that got that dulcolax and alcohol it's like that good cushion yeah yeah got some bad bitches i can call it we can make it into our own version of 10 drunk cigarettes what's that you haven't heard
Starting point is 00:32:15 10 drunk cigarettes is it a country song no it's an ai song so you know how we made those fucking ai songs yeah that one guy that does all of the is it the guy on i don't know i don't think it's a guy because there there's a couple of songs that i you can find them on spotify 10 drunk cigarettes and i sent it to anna um like i was like this is so fucking funny and then she's like this is definitely AI right and I was like oh for sure but people wrote the lyrics that's so funny and then she texted me a couple days ago and she's like I can't stop listening to 10 drunk cigarettes oh my god I'm gonna have to listen to it um it's like uh I can think of 10 things us girls need before we ever need a man one new vape two lines of coke uh three I don't know it it just keeps
Starting point is 00:33:09 is saying like seven more lines of coke and then the last one is 10 drunk cigarettes oh that's beautiful yeah six hits of my blunt oh my god are the grammys gonna be all ai one day well if they are then we better start fucking writing our ai songs fuck yeah he perked his head up he's sleeping on my sweatshirt it makes me so happy that makes me happy too this is the most calm he's been in days actually oh sweet baby he maybe he just missed you maybe i love that you'll have to move in i guess i guess i gotta do what i gotta do the cat has spoken um my second thing um is about the effect of your period syncing up with somebody who you've been spending a lot of time around because i didn't know that it has a name which
Starting point is 00:34:05 is the mcclintock effect um but the mcclintock effect specifically is about um the idea that pheromones are what like syncs up women that spend a lot of time together super interesting but then there's also i mean this is like a very disputed study um that this the scientist did um her name was Martha McClintock which I think is a great name it's a great name rolls off the tongue it really does so yeah okay so she did a study with um 135 female college students and she deducted that it was pheromones but then the also there was like the second piece of it was um like the possible mechanisms behind this and I thought it was really interesting what she hypothesized might also take into effect is people that spend a lot of time around each other have
Starting point is 00:35:04 the same diet the same light exposure and the same social interactions which could cause their periods to sync up oh interesting which I thought was very interesting how something like diet and light can like diet makes sense light is something I think is interesting yeah yeah and I want to like I mean this doesn't have any more information about that but I just thought that was so interesting no because like ever since I've moved to Seattle my period's been weird oh but I mean it's always been like very heavy and then when I was on SSRIs my period was super heavy oh and then now it's been way lighter and one of my friends pointed out she was like well did you start or stop taking any medications and I was like fuck you're right I did stop taking SSRIs
Starting point is 00:35:55 and then I stopped taking Welbutrin and damn now my period's weird it's it's crazy what things that we put in our body can do to our bodies uh-huh like I think about this all the time with like mushrooms like psychedelic mushrooms like you have just like a little itty bitty like little like vegetable like it's a plant yes it's a fungus and you just like start seeing shit it's like it makes me think about everything that i put into my body every time i'm eating mcdonald's i'm like this can't this is going to stay with me for life you know yeah because if a little tiny little mushroom can make me like go to the moon it just makes you think it really does did did mushrooms make you think that the first time because mushrooms have definitely made me think
Starting point is 00:36:44 that because you're like like when you think about how mushrooms operate in the wild they act as like a communicator between trees you know they they store all of this knowledge and scientists are working on um like a bio computer essentially and it uses mushrooms as a big piece of it so if you think about all the information that they're able to carry and like that they have just about like the earth yeah that's pretty fucking cool so then you're like I'm wondering yeah I don't know you can't help but wonder like oh am I now like connected to mother earth yeah yeah damn I know it sounds fucking stupid no I don't think so I mean people love being out in nature when they take mushrooms yeah so i want i mean that there's i meant to take some surfing
Starting point is 00:37:38 and i forgot i like being outside or like in like a woodsy area when i take mushrooms just because it that's where i feel the most calm but also like i wonder if there's an aspect of that where people are like i just want to like take mushrooms and like go for a walk i i took when i took mushrooms with it was a few years ago with mr liz and we went to the arboretum um we found like this little area where we were kind of surrounded by trees and it felt like they're watching over us you know and then when we were walking to go get picked up because we're not fucking walking home or driving um we had his old roommate pick us up but we turned this corner and in this clearing is this big it was this big tree stump that was like it almost looked like a
Starting point is 00:38:25 sculpture whoa and uh like the light was perfectly shining on it i have a picture of it i'll have to show it to you yeah and you'll be able to see it and like imagine how i was feeling when i saw it but i was almost i felt like there it is there she is that's how i felt seeing this fucking tree that's so special well that's super interesting i thought i thought it was super interesting too yeah i just didn't realize a it had a name b it had to do with pheromones that's like the like key hypothesis yeah yeah that's crazy and then see that like light can affect when you get your period i don't know i just thought it was all there's a lot of very interesting little nuggets there's just always like a new thing that i didn't know about my body or periods that i
Starting point is 00:39:14 i i saw someone it was either a tweet or a tiktok and someone was like it's like every year i learn a new horrifying thing about my period like it's so fucking so true like or about like uh about the female body like giving birth yeah like learning what the luteal phase was oh god that was really a rude awakening i know and but then it also is a little empowering because you're like oh it's not me it's right my luteal phase right like there's a reason i only feel normal for a month out of or a week out of the whole month uh-huh i think i'm not just me I don't know I like I like right after I appreciate when I get my period because I'm no longer in the luteal spiral yeah and then when your period ends you're like let's fucking go girls Shania Twain
Starting point is 00:40:00 how long does that last for you um it's a slow amp up okay it's a slow amp up and then you get to your um the few days of ovulation and you're like hello my skin is perfect uh-huh um and then it's kind of like an energy drop off and that is kind of expected for me at this point I'm like okay I'm tired because right I'm done ovulating and then from there you're trying to live a normal life and everything just gets worse and worse you're like I'm exhausted um I feel absolutely hopeless there's zero hope in my body in my brain yep and and i'm hungry so much i'm i'm just so fucking hungry all the time yeah i need to start tracking when i start picking fights with mr liz because do it our fights are more like they're not real fights right it's just like squabbles
Starting point is 00:40:56 yeah a little squabble about something stupid and then i'm like i'm really sorry um so it's i started tracking when in the month i cry the most you know because i wanted to know if i need to like up up my srsris like for like the second week of the month or you know what i mean and i realized i think i said this a couple of weeks ago there is the first week of every month i cannot keep my hands off of frank oh and i'm like that has got to be period related and i talked to our psychiatrist about it and she was like well yeah like if it's happening the same time every month is absolutely period related it's probably when you're supposed to be give me a baby and i think that it it must be when i'm ovulating i think that would make sense i'm just trying to make a baby
Starting point is 00:41:42 my brain and my ovaries are no brain not right now do you just want to bang or do you just want i don't you literally see a baby and i'm like i have to make one it's bizarre huh and new but i don't want one right now like mentally isn't that crazy yeah because i've never really been like i've never seen or held a baby and been like i need this oh my god it's i'm like i mean i've definitely i of course i've seen a baby where i'm like this is so fucking cute right just like the best little baby i have i've had dreams actually where i have a baby and i'm like i love this baby that's amazing i've had one dream where i'm like i love this baby and every other dream i'm like what the fuck what what the fuck did i do yeah oh i regret this deeply yeah or i'm
Starting point is 00:42:28 terrified because i'm like about to give birth and i'm like i don't know a lot of a lot of the times this doesn't go well you know anyway oh my goodness a grandpa's joined for the outro that was beautiful hi hi friend where are you gonna go i've missed you so much you're so soft and i love you so much okay shall we yeah let's let's wrap this up it's starting to get dark i have to go to the grocery store and buy frank's steel wool oh is he scrubbing a pot i didn't ask i was like i'm gonna go to the grocery store do you need anything i was expecting to say like eggs he was like um i need steel wool like really hard steel wool i'm like did you kill someone is he going to um rub holes in his jeans that was that was uh how how you would get that like
Starting point is 00:43:19 natural holy look really jeans instead of buying them with holes yeah i did that to a couple pairs did you buy them that way i guess one pair every why does every middle-aged to you have a hole in your pants did you pay extra for those holes yeah my dad these jeans actually he was like your jeans shrunk a little because they're like cutoffs yeah they're like capri length like a little bit longer than capri length ankle length do you have to high rise ankle like don't don't be don't be a part of the stereotype dad knock it off dad knock it off get out of here i would always just say it's air conditioning for my knees that's a good answer and i would just say yeah i did pay more for the holes do you pay extra for those oh it's air conditioning for my knees
Starting point is 00:44:05 that's so funny and then they would stop talking to me about it they probably are still thinking about that that's like when people are like what do your tattoos mean um they mean i'm fucking cool oh my god the pastor at the wedding that i was just at sat at our table um which he was fucked up drunk which is so funny but he made me explain all my tattoos to him so i did this one means i'm rad this one means i'm awesome i think that's what i'm gonna start doing they mean i'm cool oh man okay well um thanks for listening uh would you like to start sure um we love you our children that was really pretty i almost didn't want to jump in i didn't even know what i was doing i
Starting point is 00:45:00 just let it i let it flow through me i'm inspired i'm a little turned on oh that's for frank okay bye Bye.
