I had never had coconut LaCroix until right this very moment. Well, most people really fucking hate it. I think coconut is one of those polarizing flavors. yeah i think it's because they put it in like all of like the sunscreens and shit so it kind
Starting point is 00:00:58 of tastes like you're drinking sunscreen i love coconut so to me this is like a little vacation and a drink squeeze a little lime in there if you like pina coladas and drinking coconut on the cry if you love me you love me Gatsby's like oh Gatsby's like I don't I did not ask to be born it's okay Gatsby I will leave Mr. Liz is gone right now I was telling this Amelia this earlier Mr. Liz is out of town um so you know when the cat's away the mice will play which is just me um and the cats yeah me and the cats and i've been just using my power cleaning tools um you sound like a dentist yeah i mean that's how i feel i'm your house of this house house dentist yeah um no but the cats are i think they're incredibly bored not having mr liz here
Starting point is 00:01:55 because they could divide their time between supervising what each of us is doing um but now they just are supervising me they'll and they've just been following me around watching me do the weirdest stuff like Gatsby was very interested in my vacuum mop oh which was surprising I was like I'm surprised you're not running away from this sound Gatsby always shocks me like when Polly was over here when you were watching Polly for us he was just like straight chilling with her yeah he was excited and then he quickly became her bully yeah right and now now she's kept in line when it comes to hanging out with me she's not interested in me as at all yeah she's like i know what happens yeah these these things have nails yeah if she gets mad she'll corner me
Starting point is 00:02:41 and then i won't know what to do i had a dream they were friends i have a lot me and frank both have a lot of dreams that they're friends which is what if when you guys are sleeping they secretly hang out we've set up cameras now so like we have a polycam now for when we leave the house so we're gonna be able to we really never both leave the house though so we haven't had very many opportunities it's like toy story yeah exactly they all come to life do you ever did you used to believe that your dolls would come to life when you were gone yes i wanted them to come to life so badly i was one of those like kids i don't want to say weird kids because i feel like more people are like this than we had originally thought but kids are also just fucking weird that
Starting point is 00:03:20 i i would wholeheartedly believe that my stuffed animals had feelings and like i would have to like switch them out and cuddle with each one like night after night so they didn't feel left out oh I think that's sweet it was I agree looking back it's sweet but it has also informed so much of my like attachment issues you know what I mean like when I was a kid I couldn't go to sleepovers because I would miss my parents so much that I would call them and I would on purpose leave something at home so that they would have to drive it over and I would get to see them when I was at a sleepover I forgot my blanket I would always forget my blanket and my dad would drive it over and be like I missed him so much because I would just I would had such bad separation
Starting point is 00:04:05 anxiety and I feel like it's it's led to like a hoarding issue for me and I'm not actually a hoarder I understand hoarding is like a clinical term but like I can't throw things away that have any sort of sentimental value because like I'm like what if like what if it hurts its feelings that I get rid of it you know what I mean like people things I keep them around too long I really do anyway I'm gonna step off my therapy soapbox now I'm just thinking about all the the trinkets that you have I have a lot of trinkets that I've seen um and uh the the few people that you've kept around that I'm like why uh-huh yeah it's been that way my whole life I used to have to go to therapy specifically for this one friend that i had that my parents that was she was very
Starting point is 00:04:54 clearly the root of like all of my anxiety was was she the one who called you like a slut for wanting to be a cheerleader oh my god yeah same one drop drop the first and last name i want to see what this bitch is up to that's me fucking on site i'm going to find her online she got her life together she's her parents sent her to boarding school and she came back just like really great and now she's like awesome we like still kind of talk oh really yeah but she was not a good kid has she ever apologized to you no but i've apologized to me and that's all that matters all that matters to yourself for being the only friend that she could keep yeah because yeah you just can't say goodbye can't say goodbye miss people too much to be fair i also attracted a
Starting point is 00:05:40 lot of weird friends we I know we've talked about this but I do I feel like it's like kind of a theater kid trait yeah yeah yeah you know like a theater kid thing is that what you said I think it's a theater kid trait to like have just like a bunch of weird fucking friends I feel like my friends in high school like we were all weird yeah but in like a similar way and um I know that sometimes a few people from high school will listen to this but um I don't think weird's a i reflect fondly on my my friends in high school but not like who i was as a person but i think that also like that's just kind of growing up and like yeah being a teenager you're just kind of a selfish asshole with lots of like crazy hormones i think having weird friends is a good
Starting point is 00:06:23 thing yeah yeah i i had like leachy friends in like elementary school yeah for sure yeah yeah i had friends i would like a few in middle school i probably talked about this i used to not want to go to recess because i had one friend that would always try to start a fight with me every time we were at recess so i just started refusing going to recess oh my god that's so sad like the one thing a kid gets to look forward to recess you're just dreading it because this bitch wants to start a fight yes it's pretty um tragic actually like i wonder like oh my god that would require like a level of self-awareness that children simply don't have of being like why do you always want to start a fucking fight with me at recess no and i understood it though i told her she would be
Starting point is 00:07:04 like we're gonna go play i'd be like no because you always try to fight with me every time we go out on the playground i remember having this conversation with her what did she say i don't know she was like no i can't you know we're gonna start a fight about this right now she probably did her name was erin bless her heart we still follow each other on instagram it's so weird finding like friends from like kindergarten i don't i can't find anybody i went to like elementary school with well i mean maybe a few people but i'm thinking like i went to first grade at a different elementary school before like uh we moved to a different side of town oh oh that reminds me vegas has been like the main focus of this season of intervention that i'm
Starting point is 00:07:44 watching oh my god maybe someone from my high school a lot of it is a lot of it's about like the suburbs around vegas so i want to i'm gonna run some like city names by you yeah uh-huh yeah you should look dude addiction's like a really big problem out there i don't know i don't know if you know well i mean no i feel like i was pretty sheltered to be honest yeah but anyway i came up with a new game okay i'm excited so i saw this post on twitter that was i don't remember what the name of it actually was which breaks my heart but it was a dick pill that just had like a crazy name and like it was like on the rack above the rhino pill so i was like i wonder the rhino dick pill i wonder what other dick pill names there are so i came up with a game
Starting point is 00:08:30 uh called hard dick or just a trick which you have to guess if these are real or if i made them up okay oh of the pill names oh my god okay i love this they're hard dick or just a trick there's uh i think there's 11 of them do they actually work that's what i want to know i think they do we need a male listener to write in they must because didn't you have a friend who like took a dick pill and then acid and like would just had like a really he had the shits this is someone you know too yeah the the chemicals combine and just turn into a laxative that's all laxatives are he had a red bull and a gas station dick pill and it wasn't acid they did do acid later when they were doing they were having a threesome this sounds like a crazy
Starting point is 00:09:19 story if you haven't listened to that episode but I wonder if I could get him to like oh no he's in a relationship now well he could be anonymous I want to hear him tell the story yeah retell it yeah it was so funny when he told it um and then that guy fingered me in a bar at Liz's birthday that's the guy I mean when you put when you string it all together it's like it doesn't makes sense it's so on brand for him and this it sounds so crazy like why would we ever be friends with someone like him but he's like genuinely so like caring and sweet yeah i really like him he's a good guy yeah but he just does some crazy shit i love people like that that are just like a wild card friend yeah you're like oh god you hear a story and it's like i can't wait to hear
Starting point is 00:10:06 this story yeah we should really should have him send him like a voice note of him telling that story yeah and that's a great idea we can add a voice filter on it so no one can understand yeah act like he's in like witness protection yeah well because i'm sure his girlfriend wouldn't appreciate hearing that story or maybe she would i don't know i haven't met her so i don't know she's like dickness protection program this protection program i like protection condoms okay smart are you ready yeah okay is this a hard dick or just a trick stiff nights i'm gonna say hard dick i'm right well done i'm actually gonna mark how many you get right oh okay pass or fail uh libigro like libido i'm gonna guess trick yeah well that seems like a pun you would come
Starting point is 00:10:55 up with yeah i felt pretty proud of that one but then when i was reading it back i was like libigro oh libido and that's pretty good i did i'm i really i shock grow libigro i shocked myself on that one cocked myself on that one let's just have any puns i could go all night just like with these dick bills um hammer of thor hammer of thor um i'm gonna guess hard dick because three for three if you wrote it you would call it hammer of whore fuck you know me too well you're gonna get all of these that's i mean we're almost 200 episodes in yeah that's true if i could guess yeah i've got to becoming predictable all right you're three for three rock hard weekend oh i love that rock hard weekend um i'm gonna guess uh trick no oh we got our first no all right it's
Starting point is 00:11:58 fine we're i like that i like that alpha male what was it rock hard weekend yeah okay alpha male plus oh my god i want it to be real is that your guess yes it's real i love it alpha male plus oh man mega omega mega omega trick yeah well done okay well omega is i know is not um like a like a good thing no um yeah like an omega is like a sub it would be like a power bottom it's just omega omega at the end of the day yeah i let me teach you a thing or two about the omega verse amelia you ever have a knot in a dick i'm gonna be the person people are talking about like you know
Starting point is 00:12:55 that girl liz she got really fucking weird she has a podcast now it's like really into the omega verse i'm not really into it okay i've read one omega verse fan fiction and they weren't furries okay but it was still fucking weird whatever you say okay i don't want to talk about this anymore moving along okay whores power whores power that's an emilio's dick pill name i was excited about that one okay mega man boring i think it's uh i think that one's real well done you've only gotten one wrong so far and we have three more are you feeling lucky um I don't want to jinx it yeah I'm just gonna humbly go in and do my best okay yeah that's good yeah right you can only do well
Starting point is 00:13:52 when you lead with being humble I think I'm so humble I'm so I'm really hot and super humble I'm the humblest girl I know like really sexy really funny and really humble um hard times rename the podcast to the humble hour oh all day that's all we do is be humble we're both twirling our hair be humble and hot uh hard times hard times um i'm gonna guess that one is trick no oh it's real it's real it just seemed almost too obvious of a pill name i agree you know yeah hard times yeah it feels too on the nose yeah i i feel like the person who buys the hard times dick pill from the gas station is paying for sex oh yeah and is like 65 he's like uh i'll get the hard times bill yeah i'm having a hard time yeah i'm having a hard time about to
Starting point is 00:14:51 okay we have two more up all night up all night can you can i hear the last two yep so so up all night and cock hard i think cock hard is you up all night that one sounds so i'm gonna guess that one's real yeah you're right cool so you got you had the best ones we really need to get you in touch with marketing teams of gas station big pills really really excited i just thought of all these as we were sitting here like 30 minutes ago they're so you came up with those so quickly thank you so much uh thank you okay just i want to hear the ones that you came up with okay list them all right uh labigro okay mega omega it's just fun to say whore's power and cock hard is that all of
Starting point is 00:15:48 yeah it is nine correct and two incorrect that's pretty good you know your dick pills i do surprisingly i i'm in color me impressed i really want to know what's in most of them that's a really good question gasoline yeah right cyanide um that was fun i'm glad i thought it was also fun sick um this isn't what i have written down but i do want to talk about uh the fact that sabrina carpenter's album dropped last week or two weeks ago now and it is juicy wait so was espresso was that just a single espresso please please please and taste have you seen the music video for taste liz you have to watch it i know that jenna or take is in it is so good it's so good that's all i'll say i'm not going to tell you anything else okay um i did almost watch it all
Starting point is 00:16:47 three of them i guess are connected they're like part of a trilogy the videos but i can't really understand why but um first of all her and barry keoghan broke up i heard that they're on and off no i heard their relationship was a publicity thing i heard that too but like i don't really like for i'll never understand the idea of a publicity relationship when people are already so famous um well because i feel like it's like if two things are like up and coming and you pair them up up and coming hey like what will happen after the gas station dick pill um i feel like if there's two like things about to drop that are going to be really popular and you have you pair them up it garners even more attention i guess in a positive way but
Starting point is 00:17:40 she just toured with taylor swift so i feel like and like does he have anything coming out he was in um sauburn yeah and then i think people were giving him a lot of attention for that um and then they're like okay let's let's pair him up with sabrina carpenter because she is about to drop this single and it's gonna do well yeah because I feel like you could predict that was going to do well yeah and she was kind of going through like this rebrand phase yeah after the the uh Olivia Rodrigo yeah business which reminds me now I'm going on like 30 tangents but have you heard of this like um hair theory with like becoming a celebrity there's like I've heard of hair theory just that you get better looking like in general people are
Starting point is 00:18:33 better looking when they have the right haircut and style yeah which makes sense that's all I've heard there is this like school of thought around like people will be like trying to get famous for a very long time until they do this like massive hair transformation that's like like in like emblematic of lana del rey lana del rey sabrina carpenter got the bangs chapel rowan like got her made her hair redder and like a bigger oh um there are a few of them that are like uh like oh god i can't think of any more and nothing's coming off but there's like a bunch of different celebrities that have just made like huge hair transformations and it's like been right as their careers skyrocketing that's fascinating i think it's interesting
Starting point is 00:19:16 um that's really interesting yeah because Lana Del Rey had tried to like make her way as an artist for a really long time and um she had blonde hair for quite a while and then when she dyed her hair and then changed her stage name to Lana Del Rey is when she finally like took off also I love how there's all these little like teeny boppers who are like obsessed with Lana del rey yeah and i'm like that was she's had phases of like sad girls yeah you know like generations of sad girls like um i think the first time i heard lana del rey like one of my one of my friends in high school i feel like he always listened to musicians that no one had ever heard of and then they became huge um that was him but he i had listened to uh the pepsi cola one
Starting point is 00:20:11 my pussy tastes like pepsi cola i was like this song is weird as fuck oh my god and i was probably like 16 oh yeah and then i didn't get into lana del rey again until my senior year of college and i was sad bitch central and i was like i fucking love this music that's so and then now there's all these like other little 22 year olds having their first lana del rey experience and like she's been here they stood out to see her at Lollapalooza last year not this not this most recent one I don't think but they were standing out there waiting for her for so long they were like taking shits in the crowd ew yeah no she's not really worth like standing and taking shits in the crowd for her I'm also like are we all forgetting about the like absolute MAGA
Starting point is 00:20:57 meltdown she had in 2020 yeah that was a strange time were they not paying attention a lot it was a strange time i personally hated lana del rey in college for the dumbest reason but i have to share why is it a girl that your boyfriend hooked up with how liked him kind of but like what how how did you know that that's just like a college reason well no it seems like he would be into bitches who listen to lana del rey you know you know you're so right he'd be like absolutely cheat on i'm gonna cheat on my girlfriend with this girl who is having an identity crisis and has daddy issues micro bangs yeah and won't stop fucking talking about lana del rey so you're very close because that's that's the reason that i hated a lot of things in college so you're not
Starting point is 00:21:44 far off i mean i i would do the same fucking thing yeah no yeah i hated a lot of things for i hated specific names for a very long time because of that shit but anyway it's fair so why i hated lana del rey was he was still talking so i think i told the story on the podcast but like we were on a date for our six month anniversary i think and um i like had a feeling he was doing some fuck shit and like i he handed me his phone to show me a picture or something and i i just went through his text messages like while he was sitting across the table from me that's so cool yeah wow yeah wow and i saw him talking to his ex-girlfriend about how he like wanted to break up with me he was just over it like da da da and then i went back
Starting point is 00:22:25 and read his phone like six months later to see if they were still talking and he had she sent him the lyrics to blue jeans by lana del rey boo yeah and was like every time i hear this i think i'm yeah and and he sent her back it's yeah and the chorus was like i don't like about like you still like you're always going to be my man kind of shit i didn't like that song because it was on the hollister playlist when i worked there oh god and i was like that'll make you hate a song so quick yeah the american eagle playlist was like 10 songs long there's so many songs i'm like traumatized by anyways continue um and then he replied with another fucking lana del rey no he replied with um skinny love by bony bear and i couldn't listen that song for forever or any
Starting point is 00:23:11 bony bear for a long time oh yeah awful anyway so that's why i hated lana del rey back to sabrina carpenter did he send you any songs and was like babe this reminds me well after he cheated on me and i was like go fuck yourself he like drove all the way down from where i went to school which was an hour and a half north and left a mixtape on my front step and i love that he like the more you tell me about him even though even though i've heard so many of these stories before like just reflecting on what we know about him now too i'm like i love that this guy and his dumb fucking fiance have tried to paint you as a villain yeah when all he's done like for almost a decade was like lie to you and gaslight you and then was nice to you for a brief amount of time and that's
Starting point is 00:23:59 supposedly like supposed to make up for all of that right yeah no no sorry no if what's that that saying of like uh if he has one hater it's me yeah if he has no haters i'm dead it's really it's crazy to think back on like the shit like when i you know needed like a second to think about shit he acted like i was the worst person ever took that as an opportunity to like dip for forever it's just crazy to think back on like how much shit i put up with from that man it's crazy but anyway oh and then his ex-girlfriend the one that sent him the blue jeans song messaged me like three or four months after we broke up do you remember this i think so yeah i can't find them i think she deleted her instagram because i can't find the message anymore but
Starting point is 00:24:47 it was like a very long message about how she always empathized with me and like she always like no you didn't bitch yeah but you didn't you were texting him while we were together but also yes fuck that and also i get it now because he makes people go fucking crazy i lost my goddamn mind during all that but anyway enough about him you know that's like peak time to be losing your mind over a guy yeah that's so true 20 something while your brain's like still forming yeah yeah it's so real but look at you now look at me now you're thriving fucking free from the chains of this man who just gets off on making women feel chaotic that's so real what like what a fucking like brand to have as a person yeah to just kind of cause
Starting point is 00:25:38 like internal surely not all your exes are crazy stress yeah yeah yeah and if they are it's your fault oh i totally like lately i know i've talked about this on the podcast too but like in the last few days i've also been reflecting on um like my exes and like i'm like yeah i did really villainize them in my head for a while but like if i really think about it i'm like they're we just weren't right for each other you know totally i do feel a little embarrassed by how immature i was like trying to cope with like breaking up with someone but because you're like oh yeah they're terrible yeah they're the worst person but honestly they were like really weren't that bad but also like when you're experiencing it and like when you don't have other experiences to like hold it up
Starting point is 00:26:25 to it does seem like the worst thing ever yeah like when I look back even though he like did all this horrible awful shit to me it's like I still kind of look back on it just like I get it like I get why it ended as like fucking catastrophically as it did yeah and I couldn't understand at the time because I didn't have experience to hold it up to so I just feel like when you like look you have the gift of hindsight that's so true you know i feel like the older you get to especially 30s onward yeah um i have another statement about being in your 30s when i come across a tiktoker who is reviewing skincare products i'm like you need to you need to put your age in the comments or something yes because i don't want to be listening to some
Starting point is 00:27:05 fucking 25 year old talk about the anti-aging benefits of some product and not that i'm necessarily seeking out anti-aging benefits of skincare products but like there is your skin just changes yeah your skin changes like as you get closer to your 30s especially in your 30s and i'm only 32 so i'm just like i don't want to fucking listen to some 26 year old telling me about skincare i need someone my age or a little older to be telling me what they're using and why yes i just i can't take you seriously no no it should be like an fda requirement yeah you're not you you're not allowed to influence me unless you're around my age yeah there's also like 10 year olds that are like buying anti-aging products gonna fuck up their skin but that's
Starting point is 00:27:51 absolutely fucking also bananas that's on their parents yeah there should be looking at what your kid is buying when i was 10 what were you wearing when you were 10 because i was wearing i was wearing a little vanilla lip smackers lip balm yeah if i had eyeliner would just be bottom lash i wasn't allowed to wear makeup until i was like 13 i think i really started trying when i was around 13 i wish my mom had just let me wear makeup yeah because yeah she would like try and like micromanage the type of person i was becoming which just that's not if you have a kid you need to just sometimes let your kid experiment with things especially if it's harmless yeah let me put on this shitty blue eyeshadow from claire's please i saw this like four or five
Starting point is 00:28:42 year old kid that his parents were referring to him as he but he was wearing like a bow and a dress and like but then like really sick like light up sneakers you know and like they were just like yeah can he have a lollipop at this restaurant we were at and they were like sure and I was just like that and his grandparents were there and I was like fuck yes like that is so it's so refreshing to just like see parents letting their kids just like experiment and try shit on and like be a kid yeah like they like something because they like how it looks yeah you know right you don't have to like be a girl to appreciate feminine things yeah what is considered traditionally feminine you know I know this is like a conversation that's
Starting point is 00:29:27 tale as old as time now like let your boys play with dolls but like i was seeing it like that i was just like and like with his grandparents there that were like they looked like late 70s i was like hell yeah i love that i love it yeah when i think about it my my parents were like you know when we were playing like dress up and stuff at home my my little brother would wear like my princess costumes i love that sometimes too i was making him put them on he didn't care he's like okay yeah yeah um this is like one of I don't know one of my favorite memories or not favorite I think it's really fucking funny to think about now as an adult um uh my family has like family friends and you know they have a kid around our age and this is before they had their son who's
Starting point is 00:30:19 now around my brother's age um but so it's the three of us and it's me another girl and my brother and we would do like parades and we would do little like shows um I was probably like five at this time and um we're like all dressed up in costumes and we're like marching one by one and it's me in some costume and then it's the other little girl in another costume and then my brother comes out butt naked and the parents are laughing hysterically and i didn't really get it i was like why is everyone laughing that's great comedy well we just like i don't know and you're when you're a kid too like you're just like fucking naked yeah you know i so i must have been yeah three uh four or five and then my brother was like two yeah and some you know sometimes you're
Starting point is 00:31:13 just naked when you're a kid and i wasn't not neither of us thought anything of it we're just like so yeah he didn't want to wear a costume he wanted to be naked so it's so funny i love that burst out laughing that is so funny i tried so hard to convince my parents that um my brother was a girl uh i'd be like okay your name's tanya because i loved i loved fiefel goes west and the sister tanya okay i guess that makes sense yeah so i love that name because i love that little mouse bitch and um so i would and i really wanted a sister and so i would like try and convince my parents that my brother was like a runaway or like an orphan girl and you're like i'm sure you like really believed you could do it too oh yeah oh
Starting point is 00:32:07 yeah i'm gonna really pull the one over on him he's like taking actor notes he's like okay i got it like tell me about my background yeah what's my what are my motivators yeah exactly he's ready to go so he lets me just like dress him up in like my clothes or something and i'm like mom this is tanya that's can she be my sister so can you imagine your kids coming to you like that has any memory of this that my mom was like oh okay and I like when I think about it too I think about all of the times I tried to do this kind of like fun shit and my parents were unconvinced like not even unconvinced they weren't convincing me they were convinced like I could tell I was like she's not buying it like I was so annoyed too I was like she's not buying it I'm like no
Starting point is 00:33:00 no we need to go back that is so funny if my little kids came to me like trying to convince me of something like that I would never stop laughing I would tell everybody that story that is so fucking funny my parents like I wish they were more convincing I wish they would like they were like oh my god can we get you something to eat tell us about your life like but instead they they would always like it was mostly just my mom she would just be like oh wow and then like bitch i know that you don't believe me you're not buying into this at all that's so funny indulge my my my imagination nipping it in the bud right away she's like yeah she's like fuck your creativity we're not doing yeah uh-uh none of that here none of that here that is so fucking funny
Starting point is 00:33:44 oh my god i love that oh god that's incredible i was very creative no kid i mean i was thinking i was like what what did i used to do like when i would come up with like inventions i came up with um it was supposed to make you faster and it was just toothpaste mixed with water and we would drink it and then we're like oh i don't feel good my brother's like it's definitely making me faster i love when i was a kid i used to want to invent shit so fucking bad and so i invented a jar it was just like a mason jar that i like clipped all of my dad's watches into like one round watch and i just put it around the jar and i was like my parents were like what does it do like your watches are on the jar you're welcome god and i remember they're ungrateful so clearly
Starting point is 00:34:43 what did i what did i think the jar could do i still don't know it tells time yeah name any other jar that can tell time you can take a drink and look at the clock i'm coming up with ideas right now we could have been unstoppable i know i mean i guess that's why uh like god put us in different places yeah i guess because we would have been it would be too powerful too powerful too young everyone would have a watch jar maybe drink and tell in time write in if you want us to invent the watch jar i'm prepared i have all the materials i want to hear more did you can you think of any other inventions no i had a band called placky gingivitis and like looking back on that that's a hilarious name absolutely um but it was just me
Starting point is 00:35:36 and my friend aaron different aaron than the one that started fights with me at recess different aaron but it was me aaron um and then like two stuffed animals and a baby doll nice we were placky gingivitis we had like posters on everything we what kind of music did you play um it was just mostly noise like i had uh one of those like uh accordions the like toy accordions so i was on i was on the accordion erin was on the drum set um the stuffed animals were both on keyboard so it there was not a lot of keyboard you guys fucking suck you're fired from the band we muted them we took their tracks off they were really bad um and then the baby doll was on guitar nice also did not make a lot of the final cuts but we had all of our songs on the cassette tapes
Starting point is 00:36:22 um you're you just reminded me that i i remember playing uh american idol with some friends oh my god yes and one of our one of the girls was not good at singing and at first whoever was pretending to be simon cowell like was doing a good job simon cowell hated everybody back in the day yeah you know yeah so they he the person the girl who's playing simon cowell like ripped her apart and she started crying and we're like oh shit like she was just a character so then the next time she sang again she was the girl who was simon cowell was like that was amazing in an accent too that's incredible well and i mean the singing was bad but she was like trying her that's so fucking funny like that fucking rocked girl that's so funny that was such an
Starting point is 00:37:18 influential show another con i was another contestant so i love that was simon mean to you too no i think she was like oh i'm gonna be nice to everyone you don't want to make someone cry yeah we learned from that you're just trying to have fun in character yeah that came from a little too real of a place um i had another i'm remembering another childhood friend teach me about periods for the first time my own mother hadn't taught me about periods oh she was like you're gonna bleed from your vagina and i was like you're fucking lying and she was like no because i have a book let's look at this book and i remember sitting behind like she had like a big arm chair in their playroom and i'm sitting behind we're both sitting behind the play playroom chair
Starting point is 00:37:57 like hiding a little bit and like looking at like you know one of those like body books like growing yeah books and it was like this is what your period is and I was like I turned into the Mr. Krabs meme I was like no what do you mean that is a very terrifying like baptism by fire for periods to just like I was I was terrified of getting my period yeah that's scary I did not want my period and then um I remember like I was like what am I supposed to get my period when does it is there like a time where we're supposed to get it and it's like no everyone gets their period at a different age and you're like so just one day I'm just gonna start bleeding and I it was like you'll probably you should ask your mom when she got her period because they'll probably get your
Starting point is 00:38:41 period around the same age so then I remember asking my mom I and I was so nervous to even ask her this I was like just like mortified and I was like mom when did you get your period and she was like I was 13 and I was like okay bye cool have a good day and then I well I got my period at 11 oh I forgot you're so young yeah I was in fifth grade they don't have little they don't have um tampons and places pads and yeah they don't have tampons and pads in the bathroom yeah yeah they don't have pads and they don't have anywhere you can throw it away I guess that makes sense but it's like i feel like at least nowadays i'm i think that i read somewhere that like period ages are getting like lower and lower because of all of like the microplastics
Starting point is 00:39:26 and yeah there's a lot of microplastics that the compound um imitates estrogen which triggers earlier periods i hate that i hate that so much yeah i hated it when i got my period at 11 yeah i mean it's probably from all the pacifiers i would suck should we go back to sabrina carpenter yeah sorry derailed with just remembering my childhood no that's so it's so good that's i mean that's the point childhood stories i love i love it that's right some of the funniest write in and tell us your weird childhood stories please that would be so fun that would be so much fun yeah please please email us holy hour podcast at gmail.com in case you skip the intro because i know i do there's no the the beginning yeah because we got it before
Starting point is 00:40:13 we really named the podcast yeah um jump the gun on that yeah we really did we got excited uh oh okay sabrina carpenter so some of the tea that came out that i think is really interesting coming from her album is that okay you know sean mendez you know camila cabello yeah okay sabrina carpenter and sean mendez is gay sean mendez yeah i don't really get the sean mendez appeal he's tall and that's about that's about it like he sings pretty but like the so they dated apparently and like there's only one photo of them together but i guess it was like i mean it was a short relationship but like it was very like monumental for her clearly because a lot of her songs are about how like so taste have you listened to taste so you haven't listened or seen
Starting point is 00:41:04 the music okay taste is like the line is like you're gonna have to taste me when he's kissing you because he went from camilla cabello right to sabrina carpenter and then when they got photographed together camilla cabello was like she like posted like an instagram picture of her doing like a face like like we'll see about that kind of shit and then they got back together and so a lot of the album is about their like short-lived romance which goes back to a lot of the conversations we've had about how like some of those quick short relationships are some of the most like traumatic ones for people yeah which is why she named the album short and sweet oh fun fact she's like it's not because i'm vertically challenged and if you think about the like i guess
Starting point is 00:41:49 like those short relationships like they're so prominent because they were so distressing yes you know yeah the constant that's so true it's like in a vacuum yeah like the bullshit that they put you through and then you're like reeling trying to recover from like this whirlwind of bullshit yeah and um i can understand why it's like okay you have this really short-lived relationship that on paper and to everybody else doesn't seem like it's that big of a deal but you're not in it where he's like clearly going back to his ex after hanging out with you like yeah like she didn't know that they were getting back together until she saw them at Coachella together basically and she's like a word yeah she's like oh that looks a lot like the line is
Starting point is 00:42:30 like that looks a lot like the girl that you outgrew like because he was saying I guess he was like saying that he was like 100% over her until Camila Cabello came back and snatched him right out of the jaws of Sabrina Carpenter and then they broke up right after that I still think he's gay a lot of people do I don't know there's something about it a lot of people is pretty on point he also has a line in one of his songs about like the person that he's like missing posting a bunch of rainbows on their timeline i just love both of these girls that are like what does she have that i don't have and i'm like a penis yeah and in a identifying as a man yeah yeah ever try that yeah sabs cammy we're on nickname basis me and them you get it i don't
Starting point is 00:43:14 like camilla cabello a lot of people don't i never have you know you know what i did also listen to a disintel episode about the beef between camilla cabello and fifth harmony yeah fifth harmony and um they just kind of like made her the center of everything but then also it goes into detail about how camilla cabello had this alt twitter account and alt tumblr account where she just posted like a bunch of straight up racist shit oh and then that came out and then she had to go to like racism healing classes yeah are you serious i've i missed all of that yeah and it was like straight up yeah it was just very racist there's no like oh it was like a different time maybe she didn't mean it like that or something no no it's just like oh my god and it was like
Starting point is 00:44:05 it wasn't that long ago no when it went at all dude when she was posting on it i think yeah oh my god I'm gonna have to dive into that definitely look into it she just is like doing this rebrand right now that is just not hitting you know and now that like my girl Sabrina Carpenter I mean all of her songs are like against Shawn Mendes not against Camila Cabello which I think is the best approach you know well I mean I bet after everything that happened with Olivia Rodriguez yeah we're not gonna I'm not gonna do that to another girl yeah uh Camila Cabello doesn't need anyone to do that to her because she does it to herself yeah and yeah even before knowing really any of this like like you said like her personality is just kind of annoying
Starting point is 00:44:48 yeah I don't understand why women like Sabrina Sabrina Carpenter will go after like the most like basic horrible dudes like Shawn Mendes like Joshua Bassett is not bad looking but like that all of that was about him like the stuff with Olivia Rodrigo like him and then like Barry Keoghan I'm just like you could have anybody certainly anybody I did see someone point out how Sabrina Carpenter has kind of this like reputation as like the other girl like these guys will end their like long-term relationship and then have a rebound with her and then inevitably go back to their ex that's so she's like good luck chuck barry keegan has a fucking kid like with someone yeah and went back to his his baby mama oh he should he did that's what i
Starting point is 00:45:47 heard oh shit the amount of research i do when i'm like just scrolling on tiktok and watching celebrity gossip like is none yeah i'm just like okay i guess maybe that's true yeah yeah i'm gonna go regurgitate this on my podcast well you know i get way too deep into it so between the two of us i've been making i think maybe uh i can't remember mr liz made this joke on the podcast but we keep talking about this character in adventure time um and it's a cat and he's like i have approximate knowledge of all things so that's so i love him and he like he can he can he doesn't know all of everything he just has approximate knowledge of all things and i'm like that's me yeah i mean that feels like both of us i'll say the wrong thing but i approximately know most of
Starting point is 00:46:39 it yeah you can take whatever everything that's a lot more than a lot of people know yeah so you're winning everyone else can go fuck themselves i'm on i'm team liz i have approximate knowledge of all things do we want to end it here or what do we we can just end it okay why not fuck it we've been like we were together for like two hours before we started recording no like an hour and half yeah i was like was it a full two hours an hour and a half we're like really hard-working bitches we are sort of we're like so hard-working um we were actually it might be worth mentioning this we were talking about how like we're gonna like change some things around on the podcast so in light of that if you have any suggestions of things that you like when we talk about or want
Starting point is 00:47:25 to hear or wish we would never mention again yeah let us know if you think that we should stop recording the podcast and um just die forever yeah we would love to know that too just kidding don't tell us that because i mean my former boss will yeah happily write that in because apparently she hate listens to everything i do hey we just call them fans though yeah that's that is fan behavior it really is anyway thanks for listening uh there's a hair on this that is just keeps going directly up my nose where is it oh i see it i think so sorry that you just touched whatever went up my nose okay anyway thanks for listening would you like to start again because you it's always so beautiful when you do okay let me pick a note
Starting point is 00:48:15 we love you oh my god i don't know what i'm doing come on children sorry i really brings it home i left you hanging because i was shocked by the note that you picked i didn't know what i was gonna do that was fully shocking anyway we love you Oh, yeah.
