to live potentially live a life of having the first woman president in our lifetime and and a black woman like yeah it i know it was too hopeful we flew too close to the sun we really did we i had too much faith we hoped too close to the sun it really is i feel like i've been me and Liz and Frank were talking about this before we hit record I really feel like like I've been in like a fog for the past week you know and I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to feel energized like you are you know like starting to feel more hopeful and like this is an opportunity for us to like really like make a change where we can up until really like yesterday I was so just like just like drained by it you know I like haven't been like checking

my phone at all i've been so checked out which is i hate feeling like that it's the worst feeling in the world just being like well all right like there's a country that just like hates me you know and i'm white so i can't even imagine how like women of color are feeling right now oh my god or like trans women queer women like no one bother black women ever again yeah please i don't want to fight i i've never fought but i'll fight i will learn we're gonna take me and liz are taking boxing classes i had already wanted to take boxing classes just because i've had like so much bottled up like frustration in general that i was like this would be a good outlet for me and then after the election results i was especially like this is a great outlet for me and self-defense yeah

no for sure and we're so lucky to live in washington seattle specifically i mean some parts of Washington are not I was looking at earlier today because I was thinking about how I don't know just like the betrayal I felt walking around the next day of like not feeling like I can trust literally anybody on the street you know yeah going to just while I was on my way to work I had to drive to work because I was like I'm not gonna be someone crying on the bus today dude I can I limited myself to how many people I was exposed to but anyways I looked up just like the Seattle like election results in general just to see how different counties voted and I was like I felt a lot better after seeing that good um I was like okay I can

trust the people around me a little bit more totally I mean it's the temperature in Washington was so like temperature emotionally was so cold like on election night and then like I was thinking back on 2016 when like the morning after Trump won the first time and I was riding the bus to work it was dead quiet like it was there was usually like a few people like chit-chatting you know like it was it was never quiet until the morning after Donald Trump won the first time and I was like oh we're all going through this together and I feel lucky for that because I can't even imagine being in a state like alabama you know i mean to give you some other insight like the first time trump was elected i was in um vegas still oh yeah and like vegas like nevada is usually like

it goes back and forth so um swing state yeah the the the vibe was just like whatever it's another election yeah like yeah that i think that that's generally how most people feel when they're not in a super concentrated bubble of like one way or the other if that makes sense like the the the general feeling is like okay well it is what it is yeah and i think if you really think about it like when we were growing up like elections were really fucking boring like yeah i i never really paid attention to politics at all because i just didn't right i was just like i don't know what they're talking about yeah exactly it was generally boring it was very polite um it was a lot of stuff that i didn't care about wasn't paying attention to because i was you know a

fucking teenager but um now you have this whole generation of people who have only seen just like shocking bullshit every day yes and it's especially like concentrated because it's it's available online now and you have it kind of peppered in with people's opinions and they're just like general people. Like they're not experts at anything. Yeah. So there's, I think there's just like a lot more happening that polarizes people,

um, and ways of polarizing people, obviously. But, um, if you really think about it, like most voters have been alive, alive like longer than you know three elections yeah so like I remember talking to my mom about

it like a long time ago this was several elections ago like I think the first time Trump was elected she was like well whatever because it America just kind of like it goes back and forth everything always balances out and if you if you really think about it like there are so many studies that have shown that like 70 of americans are on the same page but then you have this kind of like identity people have made their political party their identity yeah and that's that's never how it should be like your your your votes should go towards a person who best represents what like you want them to do and sometimes that is not going to be how you typically vote right um and that's changed so much now yeah i mean like once biden

won the like in 2020 it was so jarring for everything to just go back to normal in a sense like we were we weren't hearing from our president every fucking day like our president wasn't tweeting out stupid fucking shit and like that's how politics used to be that was one of trump's goals was to make headlines every single day yeah and he did that he did that successfully by being shocking yeah and he's been shocking his entire life and he he doesn't give a fuck about american people at all and he like he has always done what's in his best interest yeah you know right and i mean um frank said this when the three of us were talking about it before recording and he was like i don't think he actually gives a shit about being president i think he just doesn't

want to go to go to prison yeah and it's so true it's so honestly when he said that i was like that fucking clicks yeah that really clicks and it's like my immediate reaction was like obviously shock and disbelief and then um a lot of like anger and I don't I don't even want to say fear I've already like been through this scenario in my head when I started thinking about it like this time last year yeah um when i was like what the fuck are we gonna do if we have another trump elect like presidency and um thinking about the worst case scenario so i kind of went into the opposite of you of like being instead of like kind of shutting down and closing off and trying to like recover i was like let's fucking go i want to fight yeah um but the thing is is

like i don't want to fight with like trump supporters or republicans like i think that they're i i don't think that they're like necessarily the same either which maybe that's a controversial thing i think that there's i think there's a lot of like traditional republicans that are used to kind of that like respectable like boring back and forth you know what i mean like i think that there's a lot of republicans who are like that who are like also annoyed that trump is like the person totally for their party yeah but they still you know like aided in making it happen oh absolutely yeah um so i mean like we were saying it's like i'm not i'm not gonna waste my time like arguing with anybody yeah because what's the fucking point i've done enough of that and i

think in general everyone is just really tired and annoyed because um oh like what i was gonna say is like on paper 70 of americans agree with each other but then when you have these two parties which we were warned about way back when um it and you kind of like and enmesh your identity with this like political party it is not in a politician's best interest for 70 percent of americans to be in agreement like it's in their best interest to have this 50 50 split and to continue this act of like we're the bad guys and we're the only guys that can save you give us money please yeah it's like obviously one is worse but like it still is both of them doing this back and forth is in their best interest of turning us against each other absolutely i mean

that was part of the problem though that's why me that and i was talking to frank about this too like the a big reason that the democrats um like whole strategy fell apart was because they were running on the fact that they weren't republicans they were like we're not we're not like them we're not like these other guys and then i'm kind of like well listen you know not being a 34 time convicted felon and like rapist and open racist that should be enough yeah it should but the also that shouldn't just be the bar it shouldn't just be like well we're just not felons yeah i mean it's like that should be the bare minimum absolutely but you know and it like turned out to not be enough like people are needing to hear how they're going to how how politicians

are going to make their lives easier regardless of if it's actually going to happen or not they don't give a fuck they just want to hear that it's going to happen in a way that they can understand and the democrats fell apart at that they just didn't accomplish that my favorite genre of video online right now are republicans crying about their families like alienating them when they find out that they voted for trump because first of all whatever say what you will about like politics ripping families apart but like mega republicans their whole thing is like being offensive and like being like fuck your feelings and da da da da and then when they actually push away the people that they love they're like what what what do you mean it's like

this is why did you think that whole thing this is this is your entire like what did you expect it's honestly it i think like a an example of that or like a um seeing that acted out is like when that guy kept harassing jason kelsey about travis kelsey dating taylor swift and jason kelsey rips his phone out of his hand and smashes it on the ground like that's the find out okay you fucked around and now you're finding out and no one really feels bad for you no you feel bad for you yeah and then maybe like one other person yeah i don't think a single person was like yeah jason kelsey was wrong no i i did not see anybody people got really tied up in like the fact that he like used the f slur back but like oh he did well because like the guy was calling him the f

slur and then he was like who's the he's who's the f now who's the f now back oh he did i saw someone in the comments they were like i was there and he was like following jason kelsey around and harassing him for like there's videos of that yeah i know isn't that insane if if i were there i'd be like can you shut the fuck up yeah like i know you want to be a shocking douchebag but you're actually just being annoying to everybody yeah it's kind of like when there's a heckler at a comedy show you're like can you be quiet i didn't come here to listen to your annoying nonsense i came i paid money to watch this person yeah not you right and if you want to be a comedian you can do that some people just um need attention so i do have a a couple of things to say um on this

note i want to publicly apologize to someone um his name is matt he is a lovely person um i had posted i think it was like the day after the election or maybe a couple of days after the election i shared that uh little bitch boy nick fuentes um his stupid tweet saying your body is our choice forever and um uh someone matt had replied to me with a sad face and he had replied with like a crying face to a couple of things and i interpreted it as him mocking me um and i misinterpreted that and it was because he had shared a few posts of trump like and it wasn't his posts weren't supporting him but um i'm not the only one who interpreted it that way not that that's an excuse but i shared a screenshot of it of him replying to me and i said reply guy wants

attention um i think i also said balding oh yeah balding reply guy wants attention here it is and someone luckily reached out to me and was like girl what the fuck are you doing like he he's not mocking you so obviously I felt like horrible for putting someone publicly on blast on my social media and obviously like I don't have a ton of followers but most of my followers are podcast listeners so it's like really important to me that I hold myself accountable I reached out to Matt afterwards and was like I am so sorry like I I misinterpreted like what you your replies as um as mocking me and obviously I'm really upset and that's not fair like even though I was upset that was not like I was not my best self in reacting that way and um I was I don't know

I was really apologetic and Matt was so gracious and like made a joke about it and like thankfully forgave me and I just wanted to like publicly acknowledge it and talk about it and like it's okay to like own up to your mistakes and um the the friend who reached out to me and was like what the fuck Liz like she was like I know you and like if someone did that to a woman like you would be upset and then as i i was like i didn't double down i i was i was like immediately like oh my god yeah i need to send this man flowers or something like i felt horrible and i was like thank you so much you're absolutely right like i need to reach out to him immediately and then she was like well if they were maga i would agree with you yeah right of course of course um that's

not the issue no i just wanted to like say thank you to matt for being so like gracious and um understanding and he was like i i understand where you're coming from and like it's important that we're all united um he was like the most insulting part was being uh confused or being lumped in with maga i was like you're not wrong i'm so sorry his first text was like i'm not balding he's like say he's like i'm not balding my forehead's just big so funny um and you know he lives in arizona and he is actually not a bad he's a good looking man he's a handsome guy he's got a great beard and he's not balding he's just a dude in his 30s you know i think that um every man in his 30s has kind of the same hairline it's so true um yeah and i feel so fucking bad for saying that because

and it's so easy to go for the balding comment no matter what yeah because you know like it hits them where they hurt yeah but i i i genuinely feel terrible and i wanted to give him a shout out um and if you're a single girl in arizona looking for a guy who's not a turd he's one of two mats that i'm following and he's the one that is not very clearly married so you know if you slide into his dms you can tell him that the holy hour sent you hell yeah um his profile is private so but i was like if you're single i'll give you a shout out on the pod and he's like i'll take any help i can get so here it is matt is now inducted into the royalty of the pod and he genuinely is very funny he's a really hilarious guy and like um when we started the podcast too

he was like really enthusiastic about it yeah so that's why i was like so shocked and upset like when i misunderstood and thought he was a trump supporter um because i was like how fucking dare you yeah but i he i i'm i mean he probably shared those photos because this is a big moment in history yeah um it's shocking in general it absolutely is so yeah um well good for you again really fucking sorry matt i i cried twice because i was i felt so bad like yeah i get it oh i get it and emotions were so high anyway like i think it would have taken like a light breeze to knock me into the next zip code last week so i totally get it it really sealed the deal for me too of being like okay I cannot be just like upset and reactive because that's not productive and

in this instance I was wrong and I hurt someone's feelings and like that's like I I purposefully hurt his feelings even though I was confused like it still fucking sucks yeah and I'm I'm a grown woman I don't need to be doing that yeah so it was a good moment of reflection and I'm thankful that like you know matt was so forgiving to me after i did something like mean and stupid yeah so and apologizing is not easy so i give you a lot of credit too and like like owning up to the mistake you know i will immediately apologize well as and as someone who it's taken a long time for me to learn to do that um because i never was modeled that yeah um like now if i hurt someone's feelings it's like i'm apologizing yeah totally without a question

so um anyways that being said uh i wanted to well we have a game and i know we've been talking about the election for 20 minutes um and you're editing the only other thing i was thinking about sharing is like just a few words of encouragement i guess um like i mean all of our listeners i know are on the same page as us um get a gun no yeah i'm half kidding new outro i'm half kidding i i really don't think that our energy is well spent like being mad at other people online like yeah i absolutely i think it's valid totally you know and i think it's valid to be outraged at your peers who supported trump um this election and i think that your energies will be best spent preparing yourself totally and controlling what you can control so i wanted to share a list of

the things that um i am going to do for myself that i think will be helpful for other women to maybe put on their own list um i want to get a copper iud i'm since i'm close to the border i want to get it in canada i know i've talked about this before um if you don't live in canada or near canada um well obviously this doesn't really apply to canadians but um if you don't live near canada um but you want a copper iud that isn't the paraguard you can order it through a canadian pharmacy and then you can find a local gynecologist who will insert it because it's the same shape it's the mona lisa mini um it's the same shape as other iuds sounds like a sex toy it totally fucking does um and i love that um you'll just need to uh sign something that like says like

you won't sue them yeah um but it should generally just be totally fine yeah like if your body has like rejected or like uh you've gotten an iud stuck like in the walls before maybe don't do that but um it's it's likely gonna be fine so um i would say consider that if you don't want to get something like paraguard or hormonal iud um buy abortion pills online in case of emergency um trump and jd vance have both said they support um abortion pills like access to to mifeprostin or however you pronounce it yeah because i was like what the fuck is jd vance's deal so i was like reading more about him and like his because he seems just kind of like a bitch you know absolutely um but he also kind of like echoes obviously on purpose he'll echo like trump's

um stances on things and they both were like yeah you should be able to women should have access to the abortion pill so but i mean if they're leaving it up to the states it's just a questionable like are you gonna fucking believe these guys no no you know so um if you look up um abortion pills if you just google it there is a website that um tells you how you can get abortion pills in your state and it'll also tell you if there's any rules or like laws in place that could potentially get you into legal trouble so look into that um if you have friends or family or people you can trust in other states reach out to them about maybe like doing something you know like having them sending it to you or something along those lines use a burner phone or like a signal or telegram or

something because you know i don't trust that they won't be able to track those conversations if you have an abortion pill and you don't use it like what are they gonna fucking do you know i just i don't know just like transporting those across state lines that's true that's true i think yeah you can i don't know i've i for legal purposes this is just a joke um i've i've uh traveled with weed like yeah i mean i don't think that they're like that's not what the drug dogs are for yeah i do think i mean it's the same thing with like you know not having period tracker apps when roe versus wade was overturned like it's just you don't know what they're doing with the data that they have yeah true so just be safe and yeah there are a lot of like fucking weird people who

care way too much so um yeah be smart about looking into that um but if you use that website specifically it'll give you all the information you need i think there's so many people who are also looking up this information right now too that it's like i think you'll be fine totally no i just mean like communicating with like family members in other states totally that's what you should maybe be careful about the communication google whatever you want um and uh you can also get backup plan b in washington at least or at least in c i've noticed in seattle you it's not even behind the counter yeah anymore to buy plan b so i would say have a couple of plan b pills in case um of emergency for you or others um gun safety

training is something i'm interested in i don't have any interest in owning a gun um not at this point yeah maybe in the future but i just don't have any desire to own a gun but it would be nice to at least know how to use one in the instance that i i do feel like i need to have totally a gun um boxing mostly for rage but also for self-defense um and imagine just having like that cut boxing bod fuck yeah i i would love that i've been wanting to take boxing classes for forever so we can go do that together um wardrobe i know this sounds stupid but i like i still need to be a girl okay i need to like i don't care if it's gonna be a fascist regime um i need to be a girl still um so with tariffs undoubtedly going up and things becoming more

expensive be more thoughtful about your wardrobe i have spent the last year or so intentionally looking at brands that are higher quality pieces and buying fewer items um and thinking more long-term about like my personal sense of style and how I want to spend my money on my clothes like yeah just being more thoughtful about it so I would say you know try and scale back on your consumerism um and it's ultimately going to be more cost efficient anyways if you are investing in higher quality pieces for the long run um versus just trying to keep up with fast fashion yeah um and uh i also want to get all of my 401ks rolled over into an ira i want to get all of my money like just squared away yeah um and then updating my passport um my passport expires next

year but i think having it renewed now yeah and having all of that figured out in advanced like if shit were to really hit the fan it's good to just at least have your passport prepared um yeah canada did issue a statement like a few days ago that they're like uh doing a um like immigration halt yeah i believe it uh over the next three years which is so specific i know and then the comments were like is canada publicly breaking up with us yeah that's what it feels like they were definitely prepared to make a statement like this yeah um to say like if you need a to seek refuge here you can't yeah sorry you're on your own um and then opening a high yield savings account goes along with the the money thing yeah so those are just a few things that i am thinking

about and planning for yeah um in terms of like what i can control in my own life um and things that you should be thinking about too yep absolutely yeah i mean less concrete advice that i have is um continue to not be how maga was in 2020 because apparently like don't do sedition maga republicans are like really confused and upset that like democrats are being so like all right i guess this is what we have instead of like freaking the fuck out so if you want to make them mad continue to just keep your rage don't do sedition yet yeah maybe like wait and see how bad it gets for a little treat later um do a little bit of sedition later i just don't want people to feel powerless because the the idea that as a collective we don't have any power

is really that's propaganda absolutely what who who does that propaganda benefit yeah so you you do have power yeah don't don't yeah do not become like um resigned actually resigned but the fact that democrats are handling this so much more mature than MAGA republicans did in 2020 is driving them up a fucking wall which is and i don't care i love that are you kidding i'm like if that's the way to get to them is not acting like that's what i'm great that's what i have like okay so i wanted to talk about nick fuentes oh my god fuck nick fuentes first of all i have something to say about this the fact that this man is being doxed and now he moved in with his mother to like oh i thought he already lived with his parents no he left his

house and moved in with his mom and it's so funny for him to be publicly shaming women talking about how women are worthless and da da da da da and now he's living with his he's using his mother to protect him a woman is poetry poetry fuck nick fuentes i've read so many things about him and like his past and like what how he was in high school explain explain who nick fuentes is i honestly i didn't know who he was until this whole oh me either my body or your body my choice thing but he's like he's a like a maga grifter i mean his whole thing is that he his from the time that he was in high school his goal has been to piss people off yeah well even so i was reading his wikipedia because i was like who the fuck is this fucking kid he's like 26 he's a baby he

um even republicans hate him yeah and um i think in general like a lot of like i think there are a lot of young republican people specifically men who think it's like subversive to be a republican right now um which whatever you know so hard i think that but but i think that those guys the ones who think it's like subversive and interesting and different to be a republican i think that they also think guys like this are little bitches absolutely um they don't like ben shapiro the people who listen to ben shapiro are like teenagers yeah and um like ben shapiro also like doesn't talk to adults no he like goes to go debate like 20 year old college kids yeah on jubilee videos yeah go talk to a fucking adult ben shapiro so like yeah there is

like this group of republicans who don't have any respect for these like super alt-right people and and nick fuentes was at charlottesville yeah i know it's not it's just so it's like of course of course he was but hating nick fuentes is the great unifier yeah and that's let's let let's let that unify all of us um but i had saved a screenshot of um someone who went to high school with nick fuentes so good i'm gonna so i'm gonna read it uh so noted fascist and dumbass nick fuentes went to the same high school as me and graduated a couple years after me in high school he was a notorious weenie and shit his pants running the mile it's the most relatable why do these mega people keep shitting their pants

i'm that's true um well to be fair i don't think caitlin bennett ever actually shit her pants but the fact that people like hated her so much that they started a rumor she did is really funny so good um if you reply to one of his tweets pointing this out he'll block you almost immediately and if you just tweet it yourself without even tagging him he might too because he name searches like crazy but he wasn't a fashion high school at all he started being a MAGA guy because in his own words it was profitable and I said this earlier yeah it is profitable profitable to be a MAGA sell out right now yeah um so after he graduated everyone he knew lost all respect for him and wouldn't talk to him so one christmas break he bought a massive amount of weed and offered to

smoke people out and everyone said no so he went on this huge now deleted twitter rant at 6 a.m christmas day going on about how marijuana is the devil and makes you a communist or whatever and people replied to it with screenshots of him texting them offering to smoke him out lol lmao he enrolled at boston university to in his own words engage liberals at one of the most left-wing schools in america in political debate he got in because of legacy admissions and a legacy student scholarship and then dropped out after shocker no one would talk to him because he was a virulent fascist um then he tried to attend auburn but they rescinded his admission after learning he was at charlottesville now his parents bankroll him and he spends his free time

fighting with the church across the street from his parents house over their decision to fly a pride flag just wanted to share how pathetic this dude is so i think this was posted on reddit and i think that it just really puts into perspective like these like mago weirdos saying this shit it's they're very loud and it's a small amount of people yeah not to minimize like the bullshit that republicans do and have voted for but like absolute freaks like this guy like they're not respected by anybody no they're the loud minority and um the fact that like even just reading his wikipedia page and how many republicans are like this guy fucking sucks is i was like okay at least we can agree on something we all are aware that he sucks and i think ignoring losers like this

is really the only way to go about it because i mean drawing more attention to this bullshit like he's a self-proclaimed incel um and he's also like he's like the only true incel you can be like should be an asexual incel like that is like the ultimate yeah idea to him is to be a far right asexual incel because he thinks it's gay to have sex with women um and in his own words he was like he was like can you think of anything more gay than being like oh i need cuddles from my girlfriend and i was just like if you like dudes just fucking like them it's weird to call yourself an incel in that sense because like he's so clearly the incel community rejected him because he kissed a girl once oh my god i'm not even fucking kidding oh this is all on his wikipedia

The things that have been really motivating for me have been remembering all of the phenomenal stories of women throughout history who have fought for their rights, for the rights of other people. and like just thinking like okay if if if shit really hits the fan I want to be someone that

like helps other people like and it is a hard conversation to have with yourself of being like am I willing to risk my life yeah to help other people and absolutely yeah I am so um I that's like the conversation i had with myself like a year ago yeah so when this election finally happened instead of feeling defeated and empty and scared i was like all right i'm i'm locked in i'm locked the fuck in and like ready to take care of myself and to prepare and if when the if and when the time comes to call other people in like I'll be ready to do that yeah so that's where I'm at we should we should switch it up yeah um to have some fun yeah have some fun I need to give my brain a bath yeah you know I probably will too I think up until this point now being able to

finally talk about it with you like I've just been consuming and I know I'm not the only one just consuming information about this election as a way to try and self-soothe because like it's the only like finding other people and other takes online is the only way to really make sense of what just happened absolutely yeah i know and i was feeling the same way it's like it's gotten to the point now for me where i'm just like whenever anybody starts to talk to me about it i like i feel like I start shutting down like I do when I'm being yelled at like it's like I just like put up this like wall of and I just kind of I don't even know how to describe it I just kind of like go somewhere else and it's like oh that's not healthy that that's like the point that I've

gotten to now with it where I'm just like protecting my energy I think that's okay I think that everyone needs to take it hasn't even been that long it's been a week isn't that crazy it's only been a week we're recording on tuesday so it's been a it's been a week ago today and it feels like it's been a fucking eternity which is crazy it really does well and like we were talking about before we were recording we're off the tail end of like eras tour barbie yeah feminine nominon brat summer like we as i just i maybe i don't mean to speak on behalf of all girls but i just feel like we were fucking amped yes you know yeah and it felt good and i don't want to let that go i'm not gonna just like give up and be like well fuck girlhood like no we're

my first boyfriend which had absolutely obliterated me i was vulnerable and didn't give myself any time to heal and i rebounded with trev with trevor i've forgiven myself for this after lots of therapy we met in on halloween of 2019 at a bar i got too drunk and when he kissed me for the first time i puked probably the reddest flag ever we started dating shortly after i suspected he had an alcohol problem this does sound familiar but i think that this is just one of those like at least this setup is a tale as old as time um not long into our relationship covid hit so the drinking subsided and it was fine bars opened back up a few months later classic florida and i realized the magnitude he would never know when to stop drinking and he'd get blackout drunk and

get messy angry incoherent and mean he never put his hands on me but i did my fair share of screaming at him in public and over the phone and trust me i am not one to get furious like that that's the worst when a guy can like make you feel like that yeah like bring you to the worst versions of yourself over the course of a year and a half we had multiple breakups and getting back together me pleading for him to go to aa or therapy or anything trying to reduce his alcohol intake all to no avail the relationship was toxic and i was tired of being his mom instead of his girlfriend so i finally fully ended things in july of 2021 slay he tried to hit me up for a little bit after but then he stopped in september i had a guy's friend staying at my house and one

night he goes i think i just saw someone outside your window by the time we got up to check nobody was there but we called the police who also said they didn't see anyone around it was unsettling but i didn't think much of it fast forward to december i had just now i had just met my now boyfriend we'll call him a three weeks before and my ex starts blowing up my phone with drunken texts and calls i'm talking like 50 texts in a night oh my god that that is also a tale as old as time the second you're happy they come slithering back in i don't think i've ever texted anyone that many times no in one night no that's that is unwell behavior i ignored them and just tried to move on in the middle of december one night i'm coming back from a's place at like

2 a.m i'm walking up to my apartment and notice a car running in the parking lot that looks a lot like my ex's oh my god i didn't stop to investigate because hello it was 2 a.m and i'm alone but i texted that same guy friend and said there's a good chance my ex is outside of my apartment i go inside shower ladies this is why we need to get guns yeah seriously or take boxing classes um both uh i go inside shower and as i'm walking out of my bathroom in just a towel i hear someone outside of my window i hit the ground mind you i'm naked call a because even though we've known each other three weeks i knew he'd help and call the police i can hear my ex walking from the back of my apartment near my wind my bedroom window to the front door and knocking and back to my window

a drives to my house and waits in the parking lot to monitor my ex and stay on the phone with me and he would tell me when the ex was about to knock or if he'd gone back near my window what the fuck is wrong with this guy the police show up a comes to my apartment and by this point i am just distraught i tell and show the police everything including the barrage of texts and i told them i want to press charges the officer who was so kind and later came to court on my behalf wow akab except that guy told me that because i had never explicitly told my ex i didn't want contact the law prevented them from arresting him that is the stupidest fucking rule yeah and it's we've heard it so many times in these emails a stupid fucking loophole but whatever the officer sat

with me and watched while i texted the ex to tell him to leave me the fuck alone and they did trespass him when my him from my complex and filed a police report a stayed with me for the night and the next day he helped me get a ring camera for my house another great investment unfortunately that was only the beginning it took an arrest a week later and two failed attempts at a protective order to finally get the judge to issue the order and what the fuck and my ex violated the order twice and got arrested each time i got an attorney pro bono through a local advocacy get a job or something i know like if you have this much time to stalk somebody you need to get a hobby yeah you need to get a job you need to you need to be doing anything else yeah go to aa yeah yeah

sorry that would require changing and self-awareness which as we know is not a common thing yeah um i got an attorney pro bono through a local advocacy center as well as victim advocates who guided me through court proceedings and empowered me to keep going fuck yeah even when i just wanted to give up shout out samantha joanne and tammy um everything was finally settled and closed in the fall of 2022 and i moved at the beginning of 2023 to north carolina to have a new start and be closer to a who has been a real trooper with all of this wow that's like a real thank god you had him yeah um the protective order expired in fall of 2023 and i haven't heard from my ex since i moved except for a rogue facebook message from his new girlfriend that was

definitely him on her account jesus christ god my therapist in florida was my anchor through everything especially on days where i'd come in at 9 a.m and tell her the cops were at my house till 5 a.m the night before i've done a lot of emdr therapy to work through this but i still live with ptsd and not a day goes by that i don't think about everything my background is in cancer and well canceling rs2 girl i'm just kidding my background is in counseling and my job right now is working with college students who have been impacted by interpersonal violence and providing them with resources and support. Fuck yeah. While there have been a few moments where the work I do hits too close to home I think it's also helped me heal and helped me pay it forward. Living with

this and PTSD has been the hardest thing in my entire life but I have been so fortunate to have great therapists and a strong support system. I wanted to share this story with y'all because I think you two do a fantastic job of believing and supporting women and I wanted to also let other people know they're not alone. A partner or ex-partner playing music outside your window unannounced isn't romantic it's stalking foot full stop many counties in any given state have a domestic violence resource center and i i also highly recommend sparc an organization for survivors of stalking their instagram is follow us legally which always makes me giggle anyway thanks for reading this long ass message and providing a space for people to learn connect
