That's like Amelia's favorite holiday. it's for so many reasons i look forward to it every like the day after thanksgiving i'm excited about next year's thanksgiving you know i'm one of those well and then amelia will have a thanksgiving dinner made for her birthday as well and now for christmas two a year and for christmas

oh my god i forgot that we do it for christmas my parents flew in i mean to be fair i would say like most holiday foods are the same totally we used to eat ham for christmas like a christmas ham but i don't eat ham anymore so we now do i've like conned the whole family into doing three thanksgivings a year i was thinking about how american holiday food like low-key kind of sucks yeah like a christmas ham i'm sorry this is i was thinking about this last night because i was like i don't want to eat a fucking turkey because i think turkey is like unless it is sandwiched me i'm not interested yeah it's very polarizing food um it just is so dry and then everyone's like well you just haven't had the right turkey or like you just haven't i'm i'm 33 yeah okay this

is my 33rd thanksgiving yeah and i've hated turkey forever yeah so i don't think it's a turkey uh or how it's made i think it's just that's how i just think it's it's just dry ass poultry some people don't like things that's why they that's why it's served listen i'll eat it with some gravy and some cranberry sauce that's fine right um but on its own i don't know yeah there's a reason it comes with gravy and it's because a dry ass bird yeah people really like like annihilate turkeys when they make it like they it'll be like dust my parents are so good like they're such good chefs both of them it was the most heartbreaking thing ever having them be there and they were so it was so nice having them there when i was sick i haven't been around my parents

when I'm sick since I was a kid really and I cannot remember the last time I was that sick like it was miserable but like having my mom there I mean having your mom there when you're sick is it's the best there's just something so comforting about your mom being around when you don't feel good yep like when you feel physically unwell yes it's just her presence automatically makes you feel a little bit better it absolutely does mom magic but then it also sucked because they were here to see us and we were both sleeping for 48 hours so like hang out and then you also can't like eagerly enjoy like your favorite celebratory meal you know exactly so like they still made it um and like we each ate just like a tiny bit we just like sat at the

table and did our absolute best you're both sweating yeah yeah oh my god dude like you're disarming a bomb i my friend had to come over on what day was that i think the day after thanksgiving or saturday to give us ivs my friend that's a nurse oh i just saw that came and brought like saline bags uh it honestly brought me back to life like so fast because i had sweat so much in 48 hours yeah your bite your body is it was trying to is working overtime mega struggling oh now grandpa has things to say he was so quiet when i first got here come here y'all i wish you could see this cat's meow face it is the most intense thing i've ever it really is it's like he's like screaming like angrily yeah i feel like it could put like a

really good like screamo soundtrack over videos of him i should start doing that um hi buddy did you have a good thanksgiving list i did um i was very high for all five days love it um or well i guess six if you're counting wednesday oh okay because wednesday is like friday yeah you know before thanksgiving no but but the weekend starts on friday you know right so in this circumstance it was a wednesday yeah uh and we went to a friend's house for thanksgiving i was consistently high it's to me one of my hobbies is getting high and eating hell yeah um and you know what no it's not a good hobby no hell no um i did gain like no joke like five pounds within a couple of weeks if you're gonna do that at any time winter is the best how

how else are you gonna keep me warm yeah um it's a survival tactic i and it just the sensation of eating and the food itself i just love being high and eating a snack um especially thanksgiving meal are you kidding me that's the perfect time to be high as fuck so um i was pretty consistently high the whole time and then they just kept putting off dessert there was always like something else that needed to be done before we could eat dessert for some fucking reason and i was losing my mind games no they were like like we went on a walk and then we started to get lost and then i was like what the fuck is the address and then we're like i think we should go this way i'm like mr liz give me the goddamn address now we need to go back i've been walking for too long

no he doesn't consume marijuana at all does he do weed um he used to okay um but he no longer uh does weed do you think weed is cool i do uh anyways i do too we yeah we go on a walk for fucking 45 minutes or something it's cold as shit i couldn't feel my hands i'm high i'm like all right let's wrap this shit up i want to go eat pie um and then we're sitting around people are playing video games and i'm like okay i can like chill a little bit longer before we eat pie i guess um and then we start putting away the leftovers and then there's always like something else to do and then i started just kind of like picking at stuff and then the host was like are you good liz and i was like i'm just waiting for dessert because like when the fuck are we

gonna it's 10 p.m this is like a seinfeld episode like i didn't even want to be here this late i'm just here for dessert i we've been here for a little while now and uh i would like pie yeah i would like to eat my pie and then leave i understand that we left at like 10 30 i was like all right let's go yeah three different pies oh so fucking phenomenal i mean pumpkin pie oh i love a heavy hitter you can't miss with a pumpkin pie um apple pie okay delicious okay good good uh homemade apple pie um oh homemade yeah all the pies were homemade wow um but pumpkin pie took the cake for me so to speak to the pie uh and then there was a mochi cake a pecan mochi cake yum a little too few too many pecans but god the texture of mochi especially when you're

where cashews born yeah every time i think of cashews i think of that 70s show when they have cashews delivered to the hotel room and kitty is like cashews that's the most expensive nut is it i don't think it is okay i was gonna say they're kind of everywhere anymore i think maybe in the 70s maybe in the 70s cashews were the most expensive nut nutflation i didn't know that there was so much work that went into cashews and now you'll appreciate maybe that's why they were so expensive in that 70s show probably i do love cashews but they're not my favorite nut what's your favorite nut i was as soon as i said that i was like what is my favorite give me a top two i mean you can't go wrong with peanuts i feel like peanuts are classic you can do a lot with

peanuts they are a versatile nut um they are a versatile nut um big fan of almonds i love it almonds i i like almonds i mean obviously they're good plain but i also like almonds when they got some some fun seasoning on them yeah or like in chocolate the ooh in chocolate covered almond that is almond peanut or what hello almond m&ms 20 out of 10 i i do love a good almond it does make everything feel a little bit fancier it does i don't like almond milk no almond milk to me tastes burnt it's also bad for the environment so good for you oh okay yeah the amount i'm just gonna stick to my oat milk all all almonds are bad for the environment the amount of water that's needed to like grow like a pound of almonds is it's insane i don't know why i'm coming at you

with like all of these like produce facts today almond facts i think they're important nut facts nut facts hashtag nut facts i uh i'm nuts about nut facts nice uh i feel like i was gonna tell you something and we haven't really talked because i've been dead yeah sure we have a lot to catch i wanted to talk to you so badly but i was like she's dying i know what i it's like i'm just gonna i'm just gonna text her all my thoughts it's very bizarre coming out of like a like a hole and being like i haven't talked to liz in like two days because like we're like kind of always talking yeah you know yeah consistently throughout the day yeah and it was like yapping i couldn't even look at my phone i was that kind of sick it's just like every time i opened my phone i was like oh no

i wanted to talk about micro cheating what i sent that to you oh i've been so excited to talk about this what have you heard about the subject of micro cheating so i have i've never even heard that phrase until you brought it up to me that was so i sent amelia tiktok of examples of micro cheating and i was like i need to know what you think about this that was the my first exposure to it and then i've seen a couple of other things um so just for quick definition uh according to psychology today what is micro cheating micro cheating involves behaviors that lead someone to question their partner's emotional or physical commitment to the relationship so i think that's okay i was about to say like isn't all cheating just cheating like but that

makes sense that it's more of like a it's like a small behavior yeah and i think that we've talked about this before like couples need to be we've talked about this a long time ago couples need to be on the same page of agreeing what cheating is yes like is this cheating yes or no that's that's gonna clear some some ground rules yes absolutely clear it up real quick yeah um so i'll read what was in the tiktok i had sent to amelia it's just this tiktok is just a list of someone's uh notes app with things listed as micro cheating so super legitimate but i do want your thoughts on some of these okay um things that this person considers to be micro cheating secretly messaging someone deleting messages complaining about your partner to the to other people seeking

friendships with new people you find attractive maintaining contact with your exes slash people you used to talk to lying about your relationship status online or offline being touchy with someone else liking stories or posts of women knowing your partner is like knowing your partner is uncomfortable with so i think maybe like the woman in question you know um having secret friendships stalking someone you find attractive who isn't your partner always like i think like online stalking is probably what i mean like okay like we're doing i mean yeah like actual stalking is questionable i'm gonna call that micro um always commenting on and liking a person's pictures turn turning to someone else for your needs when your relationship is rocky

thinking slash daydreaming about someone you have a crush on so I mean there's a lot there I do feel like they're these kind of like toe the line I know everyone's different and like you're saying like to have a conversation with your partner to establish what you both consider to be cheating but it does kind of toe the line of like some of these are just like friendship behaviors like venting to a friend about like yeah if you're frustrated with your partner obviously also talk to your partner but like yeah little things that you're like i know this is a stupid thing for me to be annoyed about so i'm just gonna text my friend about it yeah and like if they're like of a gender that you are attracted to like i can

understand why that's like why are you talking to this person about yeah it's like why talk to anyone else you know so I could I can understand why it would be upsetting but it is also just kind of like it does like kind of like it's a little bit of a gray area um but then all like a lot of these other things don't feel like they're even like I think that it is very black and white like like deleting conversations with people like if you're trying if there's something that if there's something that you are trying to hide yeah regardless of the reason like if you're attracted to them that's one thing if it's because your partner would be upset if you're talking to them it's still that's still like a shady that feels there's no like good reason to be doing

that like there's no reason that I can think of where it's like oh okay I understand why you're deleting these conversations you know what I mean so it just feels like a lot of these are legitimate and a number of them are um like insecurities yeah well and it like it can be so specific like i can totally see someone like being a shitty partner and then gaslighting their partner yeah and they do these things that are can be classified as micro cheating i feel like micro cheating covers that gray area yes of like i consider this cheating totally because if you are trying to hide something from your partner if you know if they're like i don't like when you talk to this person if that person genuinely like you don't have any like romantic or sexual

attraction to them and it's just your partner's insecurity that's a conversation you need to be having yes absolutely you need to create some boundaries with each other around that like okay i know that you're uncomfortable talking with me talking to anyone of the opposite sex but that's not realistic yeah that's a problem that you're having internally yes yeah seeking friendships with new people you find attractive come on now come on you know better um maintaining contact with your exes or people you used to talk to like I don't think that that's big that big of a deal because I think I don't know some people have like dated or hooked up with someone that they're just friends with now and totally I think it depends on like what the history was and how

long ago it was you know what I mean yeah like if it's someone that they dated in high school now they're just like really good friends yeah it's a high school relationship come on totally there are different reasons why people want to be in contact with their exes and but like you're saying not all of them like it could just be like a nothing burger you know like it could just be somebody that like you like hooked up with like you're friends with someone that you hooked up with a couple of times yeah like good friends you know like it and it doesn't that's not it doesn't put anyone at risk of anything so it really is i mean i guess all of these are kind of like there's an asterisk next to all of these you have to be um a pretty like both emotionally intelligent and

a secure person yeah for these to not count yes does that make sense yeah like you and your partner both need to be pretty secure and trusting of each other and like be on the same page in terms of communication style but otherwise i think that like yeah most of these can definitely count as cheating um oh thinking slash daydreaming about someone you have a crush on i'm like okay you can't really control your thoughts that's so like you know mormon of them yeah i thought that one was a bit much i'm like okay yeah you can you can't police someone else's thoughts you can't even police your own thoughts and like when you tell you that's why we have intrusive thoughts yeah that's like the um the white bear study that i was talking about i think i talked about

on the podcast of like they put participants into a room and they're like you can think about anything that you want but don't think about the white bear and then like people couldn't stop thinking about the white bear when you're like like forcing somebody to not think about something they're going to think about it yeah definitely it's just how that it's how the human mind works well and i mean like if you just if you have a crush on someone like just acknowledge that feeling and let it be benign right now I think that's like a like you're going to have little like tickles of excitement about people throughout your life yeah because you're a human yeah that part of your brain doesn't turn off when you get in a relationship yeah yeah not to say that's like

an excuse just don't act on it yeah don't be a fucking idiot don't start befriending them don't be messaging them and deleting it yeah from your partner like don't lie about your relationship status to them right like it's just really obvious things yeah but that one you can't you can't police anyone's thoughts including your own that's ridiculous just be smart um i was thinking about how like it seems like younger generations are having like an even harder time dating than just like millennials like to me it seems a lot like both gen z and the older like gen alpha kids like have a very difficult time dating i'm sure that that has to do with like being raised just being on line all the time and also there's like a lot of kids that have like went through

high school or like the beginning of high school from zoom you know because of the pandemic so like they're not used to interacting face to face the way it seems like difficult from my perspective is like they're they're so intensely obsessed with each other but also boys like really fucking suck like they're they're shady and like not very emotionally intelligent or respectful and that's you know that's always going to be true for like teenagers yeah they're not always going to be like the most considerate or self-aware emotionally intelligent people but it seems like young boys and teenagers have this kind of like obsession with treating girls like shit yeah i don't know how to explain it like

because when i think about when i was dating as a teenager these boys were like busy trying to fucking sack tap each other yeah at lunch they were like doing dumb shit they were playing with those little skateboards tech deck yeah they were playing with tech decks they were like just doing shouting penis in the hallways yeah pretty like yeah they weren't thinking about girls as obsessively as it seems like boys do now and i also you know my opinions have changed so much since we started this podcast but i hate to point the finger at porn but i definitely think porn is a huge reason why so many boys are like emotionally underdeveloped yeah like the older they get it's not like they're growing out of this yeah like this mindset like I don't know

yeah no I agree I do think a big piece of it too has to do with just like the like there's no need for face-to-face communication they're just like like how much I had to lean on like my first boyfriend in sixth grade his name was Tom he and I were in a relationship and like interacted in person like one time over three months you know and it's like that was just like an insecurity thing and now like kids kids these days like they don't have to text each other they don't have to like interact in person it's so much easier to not so it's like i don't know i feel like it's there's like more social anxiety around face-to-face interaction when you didn't have to like force yourself out of that bubble out of yeah it's so true i don't know i feel like such

a boomer talking like that but like no it just feels like that has to be what's going on yeah there well i think that screen addiction like comes in so many forms like obviously i think porn addiction is a huge issue but i think that coincides so easily with screen addiction yeah because at any given moment you are consuming exactly what makes your brain go like crazy yeah you're you're always able to find like if i don't know i was like looking at something my therapist had sent me it was like a powerpoint deck about ocd um and how we understand like the neuroses of ocd from a stereotypical standpoint of like counting and cleanliness but um not from the standpoint of how your brain works with OCD. So like, um, not to say that I have OCD, I'm just

using this as an example of something that could be that behavior. So for me specifically, like having, wanting to know the answer to anything, like just having a thought of like, oh, I wonder how, uh, I was going to say how lava lamps work, but that's actually a trade secret and nobody knows. Um, are you serious? Yes. Um, and I could be wrong cause I'm just repeating what Mr. Liz told me um but i do believe i'm gonna choose to prove i'm gonna choose to believe that that's true yeah well mr he he he cares a lot about lava lamps you know yeah well okay so back to the ocd point of just um if i wanted to know literally anything like what's what's that actor's voice i recognize it and then being able to immediately find the answer instead of being like i don't know

yeah yeah do you remember a time where you could just not know things yeah yeah that shit's crazy I know. And I think about that. It's like the idea of just like having to just accept or like have to go to like a library and like find an answer. Yeah. Crazy. We're so old. I know we're talking like this. Well, it's true. I think, too, along with that, like this whole like abundance of information thing is like the idea. I've probably said this on the podcast before but I had a friend who was like we're living in a time of dating where people are like viewing dating like like Amazon like oh yeah if you have a vacuum that breaks instead of like going in and trying to fix the vacuum you like go and buy another vacuum and like that's how dating has become it's like oh this person's like good but like I don't know like we kind of communicate a little bit differently so you go and find another person instead of like let's fix this communication problem it's when the whole world is an option

you don't work hard on making something right because you'll you have this idea that you can just go and find it somewhere else you know what i mean it just feels like the idea of having everyone be an option has made everything more difficult with dating yeah does that make sense it does um i would love to see the comparisons between like just different like segments of life like dating and how we feel about politics and how people feel about like their home and all of that how the patterns between all of those like all of those things and late stage capitalism you know what i mean yeah like where where are the patterns and how people are feeling it has to be like a psychology like a psychological economist that's doing that study right now for their phd

thesis there has to be because like there that there's no way that that isn't there's not like a correlation i absolutely think there's a correlation between late stage late stage capitalism and how like agitated everyone seems to be doesn't it seem like that is it just me or is there just kind of this general vibe of like we're all fucking pissed yeah you know yeah i mean i think about that a lot but then i'm like are we just cognizant of it or has it always been like this like right I ask myself that too I'm like is it just always like this yeah is this how like our parents viewed things like or I was watching Forrest Gump which then inspired us to watch Tropic Thunder and I can see the through line yeah and like I realized I mean

like the vietnam war was so there was it was so pointless in general and people were so angry about it and it's like i think about that headspace that they were in and like how people feel now with everything going on and it's just like is it the same is it more is it more readily available because people have the internet now like i mean everything now is so shocking like like people's values are I don't know I think people just don't even know what their values are because they're so overexposed to information that they can't even like find the thing to believe yeah like anything that you read could be untrue I was talking about this earlier with frank like elon musk is actively making people dumber by paying people to get

engagement on tweets because like people are rage baiting for engagement farming so that they get paid and so they're saying things that are untrue that are just like how many of them are probably bots right and but it's people making money and people will do anything for money well and then i don't i don't know like elon musk isn't actually the richest man in the world he spent all of the money he had to buy twitter and that isn't even money he had he wagered other other businesses he owns yeah against this purchase like i don't know it's fucking bullshit um and i was talking about buying um msnbc yeah okay i'm at a point where like instead of feeling enraged i mostly am just like shut the fuck up yeah i don't care everything that he does is for is to get people

upset at this point just him just like just maga republicans in general i'm like i don't fucking care yeah like we're done talking yeah I'm done hearing anything you have to say they're petulant babies they got what they wanted well and like I have so many thoughts all at one time because I like I was saying like with people generally being angry but not knowing what to be frustrated about there's always i mean like we learned from from wicked people love having a common enemy um true but this is this is my little tangent not that i haven't been on one for the past 35 minutes um like i think that it's fine that there there needs to be a discourse so like we can't all be in agreement about everything all the time so i'm like yeah sure a republican party should exist

because we just we can't be not everyone can be in agreement and there's like not even internally are people all in agreement right but if you are a MAGA republican shut the fuck up yes we're done talking yeah i completely agree i don't have an okay here's i have issues with republican views right yes yeah of course i don't agree i don't have issues with republicans a lot of the time exactly this is not that and like i think that people are starting to realize that or maybe they have for a long time but i feel like people are starting to speak out more about that being the case that like there's republicans there's democrats and then there's like whatever the fuck y'all are and like it's the second that trump like kicks the bucket or whatever the whole cult

is going to fall apart and it's going to be is it yeah i think so i think so just because like there is no he is such a figurehead of this cult that like if jd vance like if trump dies if fbi don't come at me i know y'all want him dead too well he's old as shit he's super old he's just old not the picture of health no uh but like if jd vance even rfk jr has some things to say about what this man consumes in a day yeah okay i have so many things to say about him but like jd vance i think you me and frank were talking about this when we were recording last time he like doesn't have the sauce that like he does not that people are like so drawn to about trump like trump is say what you will about him like he's funny he really is i hate to say it but

some of the things he say he says are pretty funny he has they're funny in a way where you're like if my grandma if my grandpa said that yeah i would laugh yes absolutely not i do i want my grandpa being the president of the united states absolutely not yeah he has he had dementia and then he passed away from it and there needs to be age limits on presidents there absolutely does there just has to be um there also needs to be uh we need we need some parameters in place for SCOTUS yeah I agree but so I do think like

getting stressed it's when the whole thing with MAGA like they are so in love with Trump like Trump is my homie shirts and like the like Trump raising his fist flag like that it isn't

the viewpoints because what the fuck does he even stand for like people are so culty about him and i feel like when he's out of the picture the whole house of cards is gonna fall and it's going to be so beautiful to watch hopefully it won't be too late hopefully we won't be living in like like a north korea point like 2.0 at that point but it's fucking scary it's terrifying like to give such a small extremist group so much power is scary my thoughts have just been all over the place and i i just feel like no one wants to hear another political rant

from us okay you know yeah that's fair as much as i want to go on one but you and i can do that in our free time and we will yeah i love i love hearing you and frank talk about politics it's so much fun to hear him talk about it because he's so animated yes and he's so smart it gets me it gets me amped and you guys are both funny oh good it like makes me feel both like happy and relieved i have been so now that i'm like out of the headspace of because last time we talked about this i said like when people try to talk to me about politics i shut down like i'm being yelled at like that's starting i'm starting to come out of that now i'm like i'm mad you know what i want to enter i i'm i'm really wanting to enter like a bimbo mindset yes have you seen i'm sure you're

familiar with like like the bimbofication of girls online like where you are self-aware but saying like dumb shit you know what i mean yes where you're just like you're doing it because you like it's a joke yes and people are gonna get pissed yeah but it's not in a trolling way um like the perfect example i can think of is it was like a man on the street type thing and this guy uh was talking to people who had just seen wicked and this girl's dressed up as glinda and um he's like what do you think about um immigration policies and then um she's like let people in you know she was just like she was like the more the merrier and then he was like how do you think uh people should enter the united states and she was like any way that they can

and i was like i love that i she i and she was like the more the merrier like we should just like let people in and i was like yeah i love no i do i do love that like in any way you can it does feel like we're like like the um oh my god what what's the what was the show with the robots that didn't know they were robots westworld oh yeah it feels like we're like realizing that we're like we're west world robots right now like democrats specifically like it because we have been like like poked and prodded by like all these like trolls and people that just like say shit just to like make us mad and now we're just like at this point where we're like sure like i don't give a fuck like do whatever like let them in there are no fucking rules yeah our president

elect is a 32 time convicted felon and has been impeached twice yeah and and those are just like two really obvious things where you're like that shouldn't be happening that is kind of now now now shit is just everything's a joke yep so like i it doesn't matter what any of your other like social or economic beliefs are those two factors alone is that should be the point where you're like this is ridiculous this is getting out of hand and that's why values work is so important because if you write down and assess your values and how you reflect them every single day in your life by just what you are doing then it's not going to be so easy for some charismatic guy to come along and lie to your face yeah right and grope people right in front

of you like yeah it's fucking insane it's crazy to see like this is my last thought on this i feel like i need to be cut off like it's crazy to look back on like how much shit has happened as a result of him being such a cult leader like i was thinking about ashley babbitt the other day oh my god it's like that woman like fought for our country and then lost her fucking mind stormed the capital and got shot doing it for what like this for someone that holds the bible upside down like for a photo op like it doesn't make you he doesn't he's all sauce and no no flavor you know what i mean no seasoning all sauce no seasoning it's it's crazy what he has managed to do to people oh um also did you hear the news about nick fuentes no oh there is a leaked video
