Starting point is 00:00:00 I like how this looks, and then when I tuck my hair behind my ears, I feel like I look like a little elf. Like derogatory? I don't know. Maybe. No offense to elves. Oh, does she identify as an elf? I feel like she wears elf ears.
Starting point is 00:00:12 Yeah. Even if she doesn't, it doesn't not seem like something she would do. Yeah, right. To wear elf ears. I feel like she just has. An elf, an elvish face. Elf ears. Yeah.

Starting point is 00:00:44 Check out our merch at TheHolyHour.com and email us your spicy stories at holyhourpodcast at gmail.com. Body mods that people do where they put like devil horns underneath their skin. I have seen that actually. I feel like that is some sort of like unresolved something when you like modify your body to that extent I'm all for doing whatever the fuck you want to do like I'm so I'm not saying all the crazy shit yeah but it does feel like a like a response to something any major body modification yeah also that just seems like it would be painful uh-huh how do you know how they do it yeah they just like what is it a little they're like i think it's like medical grade plastic
Starting point is 00:01:29 i think is what it is i don't know but the episode that i saw of i think it was botched that somebody did this his body like something that would be botched his body was like rejecting it so like he was it was like treating it as like a foreign object because it is and so it was it was attacking it yeah and like also like i don't know don't don't like it could get really good at makeup and like do like special effects makeup and give yourself horns yeah you know but anyway again do whatever you want but it just feels like there are like better options but i've been wrong once before um so to address the elephant in the room we've been gone for a few weeks this is just the rest of the episode just us doing
Starting point is 00:02:15 acapella black eyed peas that's what that's what the listeners signed up for liz and amelia doing acapella black eyed peas listen you know who would love that frank he absolutely would uh um well the elephant in the room is that we've been gone for a few weeks. Yeah. And I mentioned this. So how we're going to release the episodes now is we'll probably release this episode this week and then next week's episode will be last week's episode. Or we can use last week's episode as like an emergency episode when we don't have time to record. That's true. Because that happens kind of often. We're both corporate girlies. The only thing is it's not at high quality.
Starting point is 00:03:00 We were experiencing some technical difficulties. Was Mercury in retrograde? yeah it was it still is yeah mercury's in retrograde there was like the full blood worm moon happening the next day yeah i was i was about to have a meltdown because i my pms was really bad at this point i'm like is it just pmdd i think it is i think it really is that's how you came to that conclusion like a couple of years yeah yeah but you know how you gaslight yourself as a woman i'm just like oh don't i don't i know it because if but also like medical gaslighting yourself where you're like i just don't want this to be serious because i don't want to deal with that yeah but then you will be dealing with it because it's tenfold right totally but uh yeah
Starting point is 00:03:45 so we had a lot of technical difficulties and then honestly y'all it has been crazy busy for me the last few weeks like she's lords and in charge i it was already really busy for work and then i had to travel for work so I was gone for a week and then my grandfather passed away so then I was gone for another week and that was unplanned and then um because I had to leave for his funeral I had a shit ton of work yeah I like still worked though I still worked while I was like visiting my parents damn that's corporate America in a yeah everyone was like respectful I did I like did what I needed to get done like I wasn't doing everything I needed to do because I like there's no way I could not have done that and then this week is my first week back or no last week was
Starting point is 00:04:36 my first week back um but all of last week I was working extra hours I was waking up early I was working late I was working before I went to bed um and then it all kind of wrapped up yesterday so i am i have about half a brain cell left hell yeah and it's a good one yeah it's a good it's it's the good the good brain cell it's a good brain cell yeah it's here it wants to it wants to go crazy it wants to party it wants to fucking go party monster brain cell yeah like titties out yeah yeah right brain cell gone wild exactly brain cell gone wild yeah so I don't know I have not been able to like be productive so editing the podcast was difficult because not only were there technical difficulties but emotional difficulties learning
Starting point is 00:05:27 how to use a new tool too takes time yeah so that was also part of it there's a lot going yeah on my end me and frank recorded an episode that was the beginning of the technical issues that we were dealing with last week yeah and then my parents were in town then it might have been it is a roku tv cord that i was using i mean that is a google chromecast cord well because do you remember we tried a bunch of cords on your mic and none of them were working yeah oh i guess that's the that's the cord that's suspicious but now we know and um yeah so anyway we're back here we are we're better than ever we're fucking we're on camera this week so maybe you're seeing this on youtube that's kind of crazy i'm like so aware that the camera's there
Starting point is 00:06:17 too staring straight into the barrel um your fireplace is like having a moment it's super windy outside oh maybe that's why yeah i didn't wear a jacket in and regretted that immediately It was rather cold when I walked in. Was it? Yeah. It's been a weird kind of like temperature day. Me and Frank took Polly out earlier and it was like. The weather has just been strange.
Starting point is 00:06:36 It was like hot cold. You know, the air was like really thick, but it was cold. Very bizarre. Anyway, enough about the weather. Is that what you guys came to listen to? Yeah. Let's talk about the weather. Super early.
Starting point is 00:06:47 It's talking about the weather. On a random day. They don't know what day it is. Yeah. Is it Thursday? Who knows? Who's to say? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:55 would you like to kick it off with your half thing no i want you to start oh shit or well i guess i could kick it off with my half no i can start if you want me to my half thing is just it's more of like a rant about something kind of dumb and random i don't know if you saw the soda the sodas on our counter they're they're both mr liz's okay and one of them is sprite zero right is it good i haven't tried it and i'm here's the thing like when i saw the sprite zero box i i got the ick not for mr liz but just like the idea of a sprite zero existing and i was like why is this so upsetting to me and i think it's because in my mind sprite is for like sprite is for like kids who are like excited to drink a soda you know like as a treat i'm gonna get sprite um and then
Starting point is 00:07:53 it's also for like hungover 20 year olds yeah you know that's what Sprite is for you you get Sprite Sprite is like a joyous experience yeah you know it's surprising you're not planning on getting a Sprite that's so true you don't know you're gonna be having one yeah you're at the McDonald's drive-thru and you're like fuck it I'm getting a Sprite McDonald's Sprite slaps yeah that's like the only way to have it yeah yeah it's crispy and so that's what I think of when I think of Sprite And when you make like diet Sprite or Sprite Zero, it takes away the magic because it means that you planned to have this Sprite. You're not indulging in the little bit of joy that like drinking a Sprite should bring
Starting point is 00:08:34 you. And like, I'm not, I'm not really a Sprite girly. I love my Dr. Pepper. And I also don't even like, I don't drink soda very often. We just had it in the fridge. So I was like, oh, fun treat. I deserve it. I'm tired.
Starting point is 00:08:47 You feel the same way about Coke Zero? do you feel like this is exclusively a Sprite thing? Like it gives me the ick? That the zero version exists. No, no, I don't feel that way about other sodas. Interesting. And I think, well, I feel that way about both Diet Sprite and Sprite Zero. Oh. Yeah. Because like when, like Sprite is not, it's meant to be enjoyed in its purest form. Yeah. It is not meant to be a zero or a diet. Yeah. That there's just something that it's like, you're not allowing yourself to experience this full joy by trying to like skinify it this is how i feel about and this is an unpopular opinion and i don't expect you to agree with me on this okay this is exactly
Starting point is 00:09:28 how i feel about decaf coffee because like why why are you drinking it for the flavor yeah and some people can't have caffeine so it's like okay if you like the taste of coffee and you're like that's a different scenario but if you're just like i don't know have a decaf it's like because frank just got decaf and he like he's he's a big decaf guy he's like he wants coffee all all times a day but like for me the morning is amplified by like that being the time that i drink coffee you know like it loses its its judge yeah it's joy it's like it's like spice it's fun the thing that makes it exciting right why are we and enjoyable yeah i want to feel like a little scared about everything like for like 10 minutes after drinking coffee because i'm like so buzzed
Starting point is 00:10:09 The other soda on the counter is caffeine-free Diet Coke. And have you seen caffeine-free Diet Coke? It's gold. Oh. It's gold. No, it looks like a 1996 gold Toyota that your grandpa drives. That is the vibe that it gives, the caffeine-free Diet Coke. So seeing the two next to each other, the caffeine free Diet Coke and the Sprite Zero, I'm just like, these are two totally different vibes.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Yeah, this is these are crazy. And well, so the reason I don't have anything against like a zero version of something is because like I I mean, a Coke Zero is a little depressing because the Diet Coke can is so cunty. but especially the mini diet coke does not like any diet version of a soda does not make me feel good and i don't think it tastes very good yeah except for diet coke that one that one i'm like okay i'm fine with this yeah that's fair but i think it's i think it's also so zeros are made from stevia and stevia is made from a plant and so is like sugar so probably yeah that's why it maybe is more similar in flavor whereas um like aspartame is chemically made and if i'm wrong i'm sorry okay i'm not a scientist i think we're wrong like kind of often on this podcast and like
Starting point is 00:11:37 people never correct us and like we'd love you for that yeah thank you you're probably like i don't know either yeah well we're also not taking this to like the fucking press we're just we're just yapping yeah you know um please don't cite us yeah we're not yeah unless we have like a really interesting hot take then you can cite us yeah right yeah and let us know yeah tell us I would love it wouldn't you love if you were like cited in a college essay oh my god I have been twice oh that's true you have been cited because I wouldn't be surprised if you were cited because you you've been like featured in like articles Amelia's famous but I helped two people with their master's thesis that's exciting they interviewed me about like that's a huge deal
Starting point is 00:12:16 yeah it was pretty cool I was so honored to be asked they were both British I don't know what it says oh my god that means that like you're like really smart yeah because two british people interviewed you to get their masters that's cunt thank you i thought so too we love women in stem we do we do um i dated a guy the guest who works for worked for coca-cola he worked he worked for coca-cola which you know maybe how many jobs does this man have he that was i think his first job out of college okay so when you were when you were seeing him was he doing coca-cola stuff no when I was seeing him he was doing the video game stuff okay okay so prior to prior to knowing him he works with coca-cola okay he told me I'm all caught up now and again like you know we don't we
Starting point is 00:13:03 don't put a whole lot of stock in what this man says but he did say that coke zero was invented because people were thinking that doctor diet coke was like a healthy option and it's not it's worse for you than Coke. And people were pissed that Diet Coke was the healthy option and tasted worse than normal Coke, which it doesn't. But people were pissed about it. And so they invented Coke Zero. I think that's partially true. What I had heard or read at this point, I don't know. I don't know what I've heard and what I've read. It consumed information that it was because Diet coke was marketed to women so they saw it as like a feminine drink oh so men didn't want to drink diet coke so they made coke zero that's the dumbest shit i've ever heard i could also see
Starting point is 00:13:53 that being true like i could see both things being true yeah you know maybe everything contributed to like the market research that went into the invention of coke zero and i'm mad about both scenarios i don't know why but i am yeah i'm just mad because i just live mad because people like like making like something that is not like gender specific like they're they're they're fem they're making they're identifying diet coke as a feminine thing and it's not and that's weird right and feminine is bad uh-huh did you have you seen the study that like um a bar had like the picture of the drink like the cup that it would come in on their menu and men wouldn't order certain drinks if it looked too feminine and then they removed that from their menu and
Starting point is 00:14:45 then people started ordering like way more drinks that's fucking insane yeah on our first day of cup it's gonna come in drink ordered like the like girliest looking cosmopolitan yeah in like a little tiny little like chalice i love that i don't even know what i had i think i had a vodka soda and like the other guy on the day was such an interesting choice because i think cosmos tastes like shit and knowing him now i think that he we were at like this very gross dive bar and it's like very like him to have that be a bit he's like ordering a cosmopolitan yeah i'm gonna order a cosmo on this blind date with this dating podcaster that is actually hilarious does that not feel like a bit i didn't absolutely see him doing that as a bit yeah as a bit that he enjoys yeah you know
Starting point is 00:15:27 yeah he's like yeah this is funny but also i like cosmos yeah he still enjoys the finer things in life i appreciate that yeah me too me too it's one of the many things that i love about him i was thinking about how he's like kind of a horse girl or not he's like absolutely a horse girl through and how you like we've we've made jokes where like you have like horse girl yeah horse girl hair you see horse hair well well because it's like a long mane i know i know what you mean it's like really close it's like hey basically do what does a horse's mane feel like it's like really it's like coarse okay it's like not fun you know it's like not fun to pet i don't know i'm kind of afraid of horses so i don't really know you should be they're those
Starting point is 00:16:10 they're too big they're too strong just it's just a size thing like they're too big and they are too like skittish they're unpredictable yeah but they're gigantic yeah but they're fucking majestic smaller than enough frank will put on like horses running in slow motion yeah what did i tell you no I could just yes that he would a 10-hour loop on YouTube yeah because it'd be relaxing yeah it absolutely is but then he realized that they're like it's the same footage like looped and he was big mad did I also send you the horse video that I sent him maybe I can't I know I sent it to him but I can't remember if I sent it to you also or just showed me it yeah yeah it was like uh horses i would date if i were also a horse i thought honestly the assessments were pretty on brand
Starting point is 00:17:00 and then i as i was watching it at the guy i was like i think this dude wants to fuck a horse easily like that's a whole plot of equus damn boom i forgot about equus do you remember fucking sea biscuit no oh okay sorry i'm not a horse movie girl but i think it was toby mcguire in that movie well because equus i remember equus was it had daniel radcliffe like yeah naked on stage exactly sticking balls hanging out cocking balls that's how i would say it's british my college had equus performed or yeah they were performing equus and it was a what's it like an arena type it's not an arena yeah theater in the round yeah yeah theater in the round and for those those of you who aren't thespians that means the audience is on all four
Starting point is 00:17:54 sides it is kind of like a douchey like name for a thing theater in the round it's just like a round stage when people sit around another word like another word that's like the technical term for it yeah it is douchey yeah we did do that for one of our high school plays we did it for the crucible it was sold out every night that's also because we had to set up like stands on the stage so the stage was really small shit yeah we did um theater in the round for the wedding singer but it was also dinner theater it was like we were trying to do too much we also did a dinner theater which play oh my god I don't know if I've talked about this on the podcast we did a dinner theater play. Listen, guys, I was in high school when we did this. I'm 16. So just keep that in
Starting point is 00:18:41 mind. It was called Finnegan's Farewell. It's a real dinner play because one of our theater teachers, I lived in Las Vegas. So there's like a big entertainment scene. She was Tina in Tony and tina's wedding oh shit uh-huh um so on the weekends she was tina uh and that's a live dinner show it's pretty well known yeah that's crazy the same i believe the same writer of tony and tina's wedding wrote finnegan's farewell and it is about um a funeral and um like at the wake like the guy the finnegan is not actually dead he he's pretending to be dead because he doesn't want to deal with all the drama of his will and who's going to get the money so he before he died he won the lottery like a slot machine and i played the person who was a cocktail waitress and my role
Starting point is 00:19:41 was so sexual i mean you're in high school yeah i'm a 16 year old high school student like yeah like now I think it's weird and um the original name of the character is Busty Quivers oh my god we changed my teacher changed it to Marilyn well good Marilyn Quivers but the original it's still Quivers Busty Quivers and this kind of ties into one of my other topics so I'm just gonna go into it so I mean like you can't tell and I think like like I have big boobs that's just I've always had them since puberty and I never wanted them and um so to have like a 16 year old playing this like sexualized role that is like based around having like big boobs and I don't think that's why I was cast in that part but it's like kind of undeniable yeah and like I I remember
Starting point is 00:20:40 like yeah my gay friends would like constantly tease me about like having big boobs I hated having them. I like didn't, I didn't like that people would look at them or stare at them or look down my shirt or talk about them. Um, I didn't even have a real bra for a really long time. Cause I was just wearing like sports bras to try and keep them down, but that it did the opposite. It just gave me a uni boob up to my chin. Finally, I was like, mom, can, can you take me bra shopping to get a real bra I think that made her really sad because that I had to ask but I was also just like so resistant to her like telling me anything yeah yeah I was just like I don't want to talk about this yeah when the time comes I will bring it up yeah um but the original
Starting point is 00:21:32 rant I was gonna go on I have notes so the the main course of what I was gonna rant about was i think that sydney sweeney should be allowed to open season hunt and kill the men who post about her body absolutely i don't care what they're saying i don't care if it's if it's positive if it's critical you need to shut the fuck up yes um i don't have a problem with sydney sweeney i don't really like think about her at all but the type of men who either talk about Sydney Sweeney or find her attractive are fucking insufferable they're like a terrible type of men because this is what this is what it's all about men who love titties are like misogynist and they absolutely have mommy problems in some capacity if you as a grown man love love big tits you have
Starting point is 00:22:30 you for sure have mommy issues I feel like that is the truth across the board like because I feel like yeah men who are like i love big boobs that's weird boob guys are republicans yeah they absolutely are and they don't respect women and then i'm like like like titty fucking i know we talked about this yeah and mr liz was like i'm so straight i fucked tits like yeah what are you doing bro yeah who are you trying to prove that you are straight too it's just us does it feel good it must not i think yeah i i don't think it would feel that good i don't think it would i think it would it it's just like there are other things that you could do there's just so much more work involved and then it's like i don't think like to me this is just like you
Starting point is 00:23:18 have porn sick brain yeah like yeah it's one of those things where it's like maybe you should try it once but you're you're gonna discover it's not that great i saw something both of you are gonna be like this is a lot of work for like not a lot of payoff yeah i mean i have like i like they're fine sized boobs and my ex we tried titty fucking once and it was just actually more than once and it was just like what are we doing here yeah there wasn't a whole lot of like uh like like area because you know i don't have like big boobs it was just weird and like there's just no way it was like the novelty of it that was like sexy to him but like then that wears off in like three thrusts you know yeah like and then what are you supposed to be doing yeah can you put
Starting point is 00:24:05 a movie on for me or something i think you're supposed to be on the receiving end well you're now you're that's see that's too much work and then they have to have a big enough dick for you to like yeah able to like emilia had her mouth open yeah i was an audio media i was i was x i was there to welcome the the dick on the other side of my boobs it's just too much and when you have big boobs people people treat you like you want to be objectified like you're i'm not in charge of my genetics yeah okay i can't control the size of my tits and that is also something that i feel like is projected onto sydney sweeney oh yeah because she has big boobs so people are like yeah yeah yeah and then and then i this i also kind of hate this i saw someone on tiktok
Starting point is 00:24:55 like they were like commenting on she was seen with like asap rocky and they're like how could he do this to rihanna and it's just like the two of them talking and she's laughing and i'm like do you guys talk to people yeah why the fuck is this how you think that like two famous people existing next to each other can't be having a normal conversation right yeah i don't know people get so invested in that shit the both of them are smiling she's laughing yeah and i'm just like asap rocky who worships the ground rihanna walks on yeah just because he's sitting next to sydney sweeney you think that he would cheat on rihanna right i mean i wouldn't be surprised if someone cheated on rihanna because like i feel like that's something a man would do they would
Starting point is 00:25:46 absolutely fumble that oh yeah beyonce was cheated on yeah i just i don't think that is what the situation was no definitely not and i'm like sydney sweeney's engaged yeah or married i don't want to be out here defending sydney sweeney okay because i like she she's just a celebrity to me i'm like okay i saw this thing that i can't tell if it was comforting or worried me that it was this post that popped up on my discover page my discover page recently has been all like ai women and i don't know why i think it's because when one pops up i'm like what the fuck is that and i click on it and then the algorithm's like oh you like this well there was also an issue with instagram's algorithm where people are getting weird videos yeah like really like explicit like
Starting point is 00:26:31 mr liz was like um he was like yeah there were like a bunch of normies in my usual like violent content i don't know he and his friend did no harm february where they because they send a lot of videos back and forth well mr list started to send some of them to me and they're too violent like what like people getting hurt i don't like it yeah and that's the max detail i'll go into because like there are some that i haven't seen that he's described to me and i'm like what the fuck is wrong with you are you gonna like watch the video of saddam hussein being beheaded next yeah there's you can't it's not we're not supposed to see shit like that so available remember when scarred was like such like a taboo show like showing people get hurt do you
Starting point is 00:27:14 remember that show on mtv i don't think so it's this show that like it would show like skateboarders having like extreme injuries like their like bones popping out of their arm and shit like i feel like i do remember yeah it was a big deal and people are not watching it people were like oh my god this is like so taboo and we shouldn't have access to this and now like there's like reddit forums called like examining death and it's just like pictures of people dead it's just like we're not supposed to be we're not supposed to consume this kind of stuff i know i mean like i can understand like the morbid curiosity of being like okay i cannot process the idea of my own death but i'm just like we need to reel it in yeah okay i mean i had a moment where i was like i was watching a
Starting point is 00:27:51 lot of true crime for a sec there and i was like wanting to know what crime scenes looked like because they were always blurred out and and in my mind crime scenes look like how they look in movies you know never ever ever ever if you're listening and you're curious do not ever look up a crime scene there i'm like still scarred from like the one that i saw it's awful but like we have in our minds that these things are like how they are in the movies of just like somebody just like laying there like in a pile of like a pool of blood like still looking perfect and it's just like not the case but okay back to my original thought um of what i i couldn't tell if i was comforted by or worried about was one of the ai pictures that popped up on my my discover feed
Starting point is 00:28:33 was sydney sweeney and it was very clearly ai and all it was like a sydney sweeney sweeney fan page like one of the like million and all the comments were like this is so clearly ai this is so fucked up like i'm unfollowing this page and like at first i was like okay they're like defending her so people don't like create like fake images of her but then so that was the comforting part of it but then the scary part of it was like no maybe they only want to like consume actual real pictures of sydney sweeney yeah and i couldn't really tell the tone but it was like i want you to break in and take pictures of her it didn't say they're putting her face on like entirely different people's bodies and it's like why have we we're in the darkest timeline like that is just
Starting point is 00:29:12 like a strange thing that's a strange human behavior you know what i think is crazy like i think it's crazy when people are like well i don't even think sydney sweeney is that hot yeah like okay do you want a medal you're not unique and special you're not like the underdog for not thinking sydney sweeney is hot it's also just like you're not the underdog for thinking she is out of shape yeah i'm like okay you put on a swimsuit and then you go stand under direct afternoon sunlight yeah and take a picture let's all let's all judge how you look is there a male celebrity that's scrutinized on this level um i mean we could be bullying them more you know yeah but it's like i'm like maybe elon musk and his weird he has a weird body he has a weird
Starting point is 00:30:02 there are so many theories i was like actually scrolling through the comments on like an instagram post where people it was just like a bunch of pictures of like elon musk's like weird body um and one of the someone was like why does he look like this and one of the replies was like it he probably looks like this because he takes steroids but doesn't work out oh shit and i was like oh because another theory i had heard was that he got liposuction but then like got fat but when i don't i don't know the physics of liposuction like i don't know if you get liposuction if like it's harder for your skin to stretch out or if you gain a lot of weight quickly like where how does the weight distribution work yeah so he's built like grew you know like he has
Starting point is 00:30:46 like the like his body does like a straight and then like a big yeah and then like his legs are like toothpicks it's it like it doesn't make any anatomical sense no he looks kind of like he like you know how like when roadkill is in the sun and it like balloons up and to me that's what he looks like that's why i'm like is he like a reanimated corpse because he might be one i mean he has like the brain chip like he might be just like he might be like a fleshy we mean it's a brain chip he's like been like trying to like get the brain chips that i don't remember what it's called but he has their brain chips yeah that he's like wants everyone to have let me see what the name of it is i want everyone to have a brain chip so i can advertise to them in their dreams um yeah it
Starting point is 00:31:35 doesn't say it's just being called the oh neural link is a brain chip elon musk's neural link brain chip is an implant that translates brain activity into action such as controlling a computer or smartphone the goal is to give people with paralysis and other medical needs more independence which is like of course like the pr like label that they're putting on it you know like no this is to help people but how that man moves and like the facial expressions that he makes it feels like he's being controlled by like a third party you know what i mean have you seen the side-by-side comparison of him and assume yes it's so spot on like he does he moves very awkwardly he does kind of like a toddler yeah he doesn't know he that's it feels like he's he's not
Starting point is 00:32:17 at home in his body maybe that's why his chest is so big because there's a little toddler inside yeah with the controls yeah we're on to something here i think shall we shall we move on i have one more i have one more elon musk thing he is so strange to me but did you know that he uses so all of his children have been conceived through IVF shit I can't we haven't talked about this no all of his children have been conceived via IVF and his dick implant it could be because he has a dick implant that makes his a botched dick yeah it makes his penis not work broken can you imagine I'm like this man is like peak insecure yeah like you gotta you don't fuck with your genitals I'm sorry
Starting point is 00:33:04 I mean like sure if you're like trans and you want to do that but I also think totally different yeah I also think a lot of trans people are like I don't think I want to do that because that's a huge deal you permanently change your genitals yeah no way I love my clit I can't part with it yeah in any way of vaginoplasty is that what it's called vaginoplasty something like like they like clean up the the lips yeah yeah just leave there like so many leave your pushy alone yeah like i don't know like it was supposed to be like that just just let your genitals exist okay i don't like i don't know i'm all for doing things for yourself but like i think in those scenarios you're not really doing that yeah in that like in that situation like getting a dick
Starting point is 00:33:49 implant like that is purely like a vanity and insecurity motivated decision he has more money than god and he got a botched dick implant and then you have you're gonna get on you're gonna buy twitter so you can tell everybody that you like hate trans people yeah you literally had gender affirming care with your fucking hair plugs with your shitty dick implant with whatever else weird shit you've been doing to your body yeah rolling on ketamine at the fucking inauguration anyways was he on ketamine he has been pretty open about talking about being on ketamine okay and i'm just i'm just gonna throw this out there if you're his k dealer just think about it okay right we're not gonna tell you we're not gonna say just we're not i'm not saying it i'm not
Starting point is 00:34:36 saying you should right but like you could if you did yeah you'd be an american hero but like we're not we're not saying we're not saying to do it we would never say to do it i'm not saying to do it theoretically i would never say that yeah right uh but i was gonna say all these kids who have been conceived through IVF because we did talk about this recently um he used the like sex election like where you can choose the gender of your baby did you know that no but that doesn't surprise me and he chose all of them to be boys oh I didn't even realize that he has I think he has two daughters one of them is trans yeah I'm like okay you're gonna elect all of your children to be boys yeah and then your trans daughter like this is where this is where maybe i'm like
Starting point is 00:35:27 a little bit of a republican where i'm like who fucked with someone else's biology how do you know how do you know that they're not trans because of you yeah and your selfish stupid decisions you think you're god yeah and you can decide what someone should be i don't know yeah i mean but there's no that's just like too big brain to like like potentially think that like maybe this all all roads lead back to you i want to start like i'm gonna make some weird like ai facebook content about how like elon musk made his kid trance and like make republicans mad fuck yeah do it oh my god remember your instagram page that was like like hustle culture yeah that was good that lived for too short of a time maybe i'll bring it back you should motivational broseph yeah so good
Starting point is 00:36:15 we'll bring it back you should you absolutely should there's a time the time for it is now we've never needed more than we do now you've never needed it more and more batman yeah yeah make some fucking shitty ai content yeah um speaking of content my topic today is about the pros and cons of vigilante predator catchers have you seen like the discourse going on about these the ongoing discourse are you familiar with like the internet predator catcher community kind of okay i know that you watched a guy and told me about him a little bit so i grew up loving chris hansen i still would give him a kidney if he needed it like i love that man so fucking much like i would give him one of my organs yeah no like i would take his organ too if you know what
Starting point is 00:37:00 i mean but no i i genuinely love that man and like i grew up watching to catch a predator like you know it wasn't like Rugrats for me but like I remember it being on and me being like fascinated by it and now he's had like a bunch of different iterations first of all it went off the air because a dude killed himself did you know that like he was a um an assistic assistic hello assistant what's his ADA district attorney he was an assistant district attorney at I think it was the manhattan da's office and had all of this child porn and the camera crew showed up at his door and he like went back into his house and shot himself in the head so yeah and his family like sued to catch a predator yeah oh anyway i mean you can't be the assistant district attorney and be a
Starting point is 00:37:51 fucking no no my old predator i mean he was also like going after child predators yeah i don't know regardless so the show went off the air then like turn it had like all these different iterations that had like um to have a seat with chris hansen or take a seat with chris hansen um uh takedown with chris hansen hansen versus predator like there's just like a bunch of different versions and he has been so like prolific with all of this for a lot of reasons but like he is the the one because he's worked directly with um law enforcement so that it's like done correctly and now there's just dozens and dozens of people whose entire internet presence is around like predator hunting and at first when this first popped up it was like the first one that i saw was
Starting point is 00:38:39 um his name's skeeter gene and he calls himself skeet hansen and he like talks like chris hansen you've told me about this guy and he's like kind of a character and now he works with law enforcement like he like does it where they're like already waiting in the wings so they don't have to like wait for them to come um and so that way they know that they're like also getting all the information that they need and like going through all the channels correctly so that's fine But then there's people that, like, there are, like, all these guys on Twitter that, like, pretend to be a little girl or a little boy and meet up with these men in, like, grocery stores and then, like, beat them up in public. And, like, that's the extent. And, like, that kind of vigilante justice is problematic because it's, like, not going to make someone not a predator.
Starting point is 00:39:18 Right. Exactly. And now they're just going to get better at being a predator. Exactly. It's like you're teaching them how to avoid those situations. there's this conversation happening right now i wanted to talk about it today because there's this creator named jideon and he's like one of the bigger ones and he makes money through like gated content of like what like the transcripts of all the conversations and everything that he
Starting point is 00:39:43 can't share on youtube and this other creator august the duck like had an issue with that and was like you're advertising this like very serious thing as like this like exciting subscribe to our patreon and like get all of this exclusive access and like that's problematic yeah and so then jideon came back with like his own rebuttal and i was thinking a lot about like how both sides of the argument are fair so i wanted to read the pros and cons of these predator catchers and talk through them and like get get your take on it just like as a person with opinions um we all have that okay so here are the pros it raises public awareness which is fair i think about how fucking child predators there are in the neighborhood it's it's banana they put up
Starting point is 00:40:33 these like teenage girl profiles online and like within like five minutes they have like 30 messages from them yeah it's scary it's really scary so it brings attention to how prevalent it is which is great often in like like small communities too like what kind of profiles like like just like like instagram facebook facebook's a really bad one facebook's really doing like basically nothing about the issues with like explicit child content um it will it's very hard to get people to do the the jobs like behind the scenes absolutely but like with like the how amazing and quick like ai has learned yeah how to identify images like you would think that they would no they don't want to they don't want to use ai to do that so they're just like not gonna do
Starting point is 00:41:21 anything yeah i don't understand why like to me i'm like okay people are going to like the think of how evil people are yeah they're going to be evil with ai so unless you put some sort of regulation in place it's not going to get better it's only going to get worse totally but i mean like ai to like identify when somebody is like sharing explicit content exactly they're not gonna do something it's so fucked it's so fucked um the second pro is the deterrence factor so like public exposure and like the shaming factor would theoretically discourage child predators and that was one of the things that jideon said in his video he was like like even if people don't get arrested like they almost always do get arrested but they don't always get
Starting point is 00:42:09 like actually like booked and they don't get a charge there might not ever be they might not ever see any consequences yeah so the the good part of like the jadeon has four million subscribers on youtube it's like now four million people and more know what this man's face looks like like that's that's the deterrent you know it's like people don't want to be caught up in these stings that are going to ruin their life sometimes these predator catchers will make them like call their wives like on camera and be like tell her what you were doing here today and they'll record the conversation which is like I'm all for because it's like she should know sometimes Gideon will just like call them himself like after they're like when they're in the back of the cop car like
Starting point is 00:42:49 hey I don't want to be the one to have to tell you this but like your husband just got arrested for like trying to meet up with a teenager for sex and it's like that I mean there's like that's kind of a great it's kind of a great line but it does feel like important for people to see the consequences of actions rather than it's like not just public shaming it's like this is going to ruin your family um fills law enforcement gaps because some people argue that police don't have the time or the resources to catch every predator which is true and we'll cover that in the cons too because that also is a problem um content virality equals awareness which i was just saying like if it's if it's a viral moment and people are like making it this like big like the the most recent jideon
Starting point is 00:43:31 video that I saw um I also don't know if I'm saying his name right but I think I am this he met up with this guy who was trying to meet up with a teenage girl for sex in a hotel and the guy locked himself in a hotel room and the cops came like a SWAT team came and the dude escaped through the ceiling of the hotel room and was like climbing around like the pipes and shit and then fell through the ceiling in a conference room it was so fucking good and it's shit like that that's like i shared that with like multiple people i was like look at this fucking shit this is crazy and that's how like that's what why they do it so i can understand that pro you know it's like let's see how viral we can make this shit to like raise awareness of like how many fucking
Starting point is 00:44:13 disgusting people there are out there and like the importance of being careful well we've talked about the statistic that there are not enough there are not enough um like jails to hold the amount of child predators that are in america yeah that's how many there are yeah so that's why they like they don't really have to serve any time because there's so fucking many of them yeah yeah which is horrifying yeah and that's also like something that concerns me about ai's like people are already using ai to like make child pornography yeah and they're they're not just making like child pornography of not real children most of the time they're using it to make child pornography of kids they know yeah don't post your kids online i like uh like when you know those statistics
Starting point is 00:45:08 i i'm anytime i see like i don't want to tell people how to be parent because i'm not a parent but like you have to be so careful yeah people are fucking terrible and creepy and horrible and awful there's that one mom um ren's mom do you remember this whole thing yeah who was like leaning into it like she was like and and so it was so egregious like it wasn't like oh i'm putting my kid into like childlike situations that are being misconstrued like she was like leaning to it exploiting your child yeah and the saves on these videos it's fucking awful it's just it it's i don't know it's just it's i don't even want to i could go on about it here are the cons of the vigilante justice um lack of due process and legal issues evidence collected may not hold up in court
Starting point is 00:45:55 potential for wrongful accusations so like in some situations it's like better for these predators to be caught by these like online guys because like they didn't go through all the correct channels so like they'll get away with it which is so fucked up and counterproductive um there's entrapment concerns uh safety risks for people involved whenever i'm watching these jideon is usually like very whenever anybody like kind of like walks up on him too close he's like whoa whoa you know like because these people could show up with guns you don't know but then there's other people like um there's this one of the guys is alex rosen who is like the most problematic guy ever like he's like mega trump supporter like drops the n-word like as a white guy and like
Starting point is 00:46:37 thinks it's funny he's like he's just the worst he shows up at people's houses and just like will like walk into their houses with them and like isn't worried about getting killed and i'm like i'm gonna see this guy on the news one day like we're gonna see him on the news because he's also probably a child predator easily that was have you ever known like have you noticed that like whenever you see a headline oh like the most recent one there was like um a minnesota governor a republican governor who wanted to make trump derangement syndrome a thing and you would think Trump derangement syndrome would mean people who are so delusional they'll do whatever Trump says but Trump derangement syndrome under his definition are people who think Donald Trump is
Starting point is 00:47:25 evil that's so yeah and then before he was about to like I can't remember I honestly I don't remember all of like the political terminology but it's essentially like pitch this idea or whatever yeah like bring it to get it legitimized essentially yeah that day he was um arrested and detained for uh soliciting sex with a minor jesus christ who it was the cops but you know oh my god and that's like the the ada that got calls coming from inside the house and that happens so often where they're like pointing fingers at like queer and trans people and saying like you're grooming children I'm like that doesn't even make sense yeah why do you think that there was a guy in Aberdeen Washington who was like running for mayor and he was like super anti-trans anti-drag queen
Starting point is 00:48:23 anti-every he was like all about like the family unit he was then he's a pedophile he was a pedophile with his stepdaughter yeah and it's like and like the stepdaughter caught it on camera they're always trying to like point to other people and like make it a diversion totally anyway crazy and fucked up what a time what a time to be alive the last three are motivated by clout not justice which obviously like the people that are punching people in the grocery store um impact on real investigations one of my good friends was uh working on the child sex crimes unit um he was a lawyer he is a lawyer but he was working on child sex crimes for a while and i was talking to him about these like vigilante child predator catchers i don't know what else to call them and he was
Starting point is 00:49:07 like we hate them because a lot of the time the cops are already tracking those guys and like they're like going through like they're they're going through the necessary steps to like actually get them like responsibly and then these vigilante guys like fuck up the whole process and like free them you know um so it can yeah I can interview with ongoing and that's a really big thing to hit home on I think yeah it's like okay you're making this content because you want to like where is the line of you are making this content because you are trying to profit off of it yeah versus you're making this content like I guess I just don't think there's like really an ethical way like if you were doing it like just because and not and not filming it like yeah like would you still
Starting point is 00:49:58 be doing it if you didn't have a camera I don't I mean I don't think so no yeah that's where I'm like I don't I have kind of a problem then that like brings in the the question of like the like is the raising awareness piece of it the benefit of having a camera there because are you raising awareness i mean i would hope that they are just public shaming and if you're doing if you're public shaming people there are so many ways to go about that yeah but like making a whole career of being like a vigilante like predator catcher that's where i'm like are you doing i don't really believe that you're doing it because you like care about children yeah you're doing it because you're like fuck these guys which yeah true yeah but like at the end of the day the most important
Starting point is 00:50:45 thing should be like we should protect kids not we should punish bad guys totally we should still do that obviously like there should still be more avenues of like punishment for like being a sexual predator yeah totally it does it does feel like there's the aspect of it where like when it was just chris hansen doing it like these predators would be like okay what are the odds of it being chris hansen you know and now they have to worry about it like a youtuber it could be a lot of different youtubers they're also it it brings up the idea too of like accidentally exposing someone that's innocent like did you hear about those college kids that were like trying to do their own predator catch and they like had their 21 year old friend like ask out an 18 year old and
Starting point is 00:51:32 they thought that this person was 17 and they like ambushed them and was like you're a fucking creep you're a fucking predator done it like all this shit because this 21 year old was like asking out an 18 year old that they thought was younger and it's just like they're i think those kids are in jail now like for like a couple of months for like defamation of character but like that's when you aren't experienced in what you're doing and you're seeing all these people online that are doing it and you think that like you could do it too you probably can't yeah there is real risk involved yeah anyway so that was my light-hearted topic for this week super light yeah it's just like it's all happening right now like this stuff with like jitty on in august the duck is so it's it
Starting point is 00:52:12 feels like the conversation's heating up you know which is good because it needs to like i have mixed feelings about it because i'm like okay if there aren't enough like resources and or like sometimes cops are just fucking stupid and they don't do their job yeah and they don't know what the fuck to do they don't know how like yeah they don't know the law no no they don't but yeah like so if there's not enough resources and then so people don't only have like you're saying they don't only have to fear the cops they have like a bunch of youtubers to be afraid of like i don't know part i feel i feel kind of torn about it yeah okay i don't like necessarily love that people are trying to get clout and use this really horrible thing as a form of income and they're profiting
Starting point is 00:53:09 off of it. Turning this very serious problem into entertainment. Exactly. Treating it like entertainment, I think, is what bothers me because it shouldn't be entertaining. It should be upsetting and informative. Yeah. And so that part I don't love, but then it's like, okay, i do want child predators to be so afraid to act on their predatory behavior that they don't that they but then like how do how do you really rehabilitate someone who is like consuming child pornography and is a pedophile like can can you change someone who is a pedophile i don't think that you can so many of these people are repeat offenders like that's a whole pot of lolita yeah i really don't think that you can i don't think that they're i don't think that
Starting point is 00:54:00 they're redeemable which is sad because it's like you would hope that somebody could change such like an awful aspect of themselves i feel like this is one of those topics that like no matter how much we say about it it's not enough because it goes so so deep and there's so many more like there's so many more people who are smarter than us and more knowledgeable i was just thinking about that like we should have someone yeah they have well they have like yeah there's all kinds of like other podcasts and things that talk about stuff like this yeah yeah that's true that's yeah this is not but i was just yeah i mean going back to the original topic like just this this whole vigilante vigilante justice of it all yeah it's just an interesting thing that is being discussed
Starting point is 00:54:37 right now and there's i mean child predators are like a hot topic right now especially because of all of the people who point fingers at like marginalized groups and say that just say that their child predators yeah then but then they're the child predator yeah it's it's a yeah deflection yeah it's it's gross i hate how common that is it's yeah like why you're making it so obvious you're not fooling anybody right yeah it's so predictable at this point i feel like i was gonna say something else not related to pedophiles i don't know grandpa's just sitting next to you staring at nothing he's just so zoned in like is anybody gonna pay attention to me look shall we We've been recording for an hour.
Starting point is 00:55:20 I know. Look at us go. We went by so quickly. Time flies when you're talking about the most depressing shit ever. I mean, only one of the things was depressing. Yeah. And luckily, it wasn't until the end. We worked our way up to that.
Starting point is 00:55:32 It's the thing that I brought. There's always going to be something, like, a little sad. Yeah. And that's life, baby. Mm-hmm. Okay. Do you find yourself looking at the camera or looking at the computer more? It's going to take some getting used to, for sure.
Starting point is 00:55:46 But I'm digging it. cheat out to the camera look how pretty we are we're so pretty anyway thanks for listening sorry we've been gone we've missed you we're back i cry every night thinking about how much i miss y'all she does how much i miss liz because i you've been gone that's the song you went to uh the song that started to play in my head was when you're gone i don't know what is that you know what i'm talking about like heavy when you're gone i can't think of what's the guy singing it or a girl singing it i don't know oh shit i feel like it's pink doesn't that seem like a pink let me look when you're gone pink now oh it's avril
