Starting point is 00:00:00 There's a military plane right there. Look at that. Oh, shit. What the fuck is that doing? That is the scariest looking helicopter I've ever seen in my life. That gave me a startle. I don't like it either. Are we under attack? Damn, this episode would go super viral if we were under attack. Starting point is 00:00:55 brag but i met them when i was 13 you did you met trace cyrus yeah and mason i don't know any of their other names you know um some uh someone mitchell musso from hannah montana yeah his brother was also in that band what the fun fact i met them were they just like hanging out on set at hannah montana and they're like do you jam dude yeah it's like well your siblings overshadowing your career sometimes my siblings overshadowing my career metro station and that is the whole biopic summed up yeah um they were do you remember forever the sickest kids no oh well i don't know why i said that yes i i remember the name i can't name a single song sorry i was thinking about hey britney you know how adhd brain is it's like i do i'm listening
Starting point is 00:01:47 i'm not being a good active listener because i'm also thinking about something else what were you thinking about um i believe i was thinking about hannah montana that was a good it was a good ass show i was also just in the back of my head at all times when we're recording is just the podcast in general that's so responsible um did you know that lizzie mcguire was only on air for two seasons yeah isn't that crazy bananas that was a cultural moment and you would it was a blip on the radar i'm maybe i'll binge watch that soon i think it's a great idea you know what i binge watch frequently again and again and again is season two of laguna beach i love that i'll just put i'll just put it on i need to revisit laguna beach i haven't watched it in so long he's cheating
Starting point is 00:02:39 on you jessica jessica jessica jessica um do you remember when mad tv was a thing yes and uh mad tv did they actually had some banger skits they did my family and i still quote mad tv skits uh they had like a skit that was laguna beach oh i don't remember that one and it was it would just like show they would be like talking and what we now know to be an influencer accent and they would like keep moving like flopping in different ways on the couch and like every time they cut back to them they'd be in a different like sprawled out like posture on the couch how do people think of this shit I I think it's just a lot of a lot of uh skit comedy I feel like is just an exaggeration of something that's happening in real life that's so true but I think about this
Starting point is 00:03:36 all the time and I'm like whenever I try to figure out what to make a video about that's like an exaggerated thing that's going on I can't think of anything you know like I've covered all the shit that I've noticed and now I'm just dry I'm tapped you know what I was watching one of Drew Gooden's videos I haven't watched a Drew Gooden video in a very long time I'm loving this new YouTube like adventure for you I've been so into YouTube I know it's because of the screen zen app youtube is one of the few things i don't restrict myself from oh um and i honestly think consuming long-form content has been good for my brain totally um but i was gonna say i haven't watched one of his videos in a super long time and he did a i think it was his most recent video
Starting point is 00:04:26 where he covered all of the snl movies oh yeah because you know how like a bunch of movies became like a bunch of like little skits became move their own movies Wayne's World yeah um and he just talked about the success of each of them but the first one was Blues Brothers which I haven't seen but um now it made me want to watch it but he was saying like the they spent so much money filming this movie because they they had to put into the budget like how much money they spent on cocaine because that's like they had to budget for all the blow that they got oh my god and i mean i mean that's how like john belushi died like back in the 80s it was just kind of like a thing that people did like the hollywood diet i think is what they called it like everyone was doing
Starting point is 00:05:13 everyone was doing blow well so he drew was saying that what he was like i think what made this movie work he was like it was obvious that they were on so much cocaine because the movie is just so over the top with like they i think they set a record for most like cars destroyed or something on a movie set which is pretty fucking insane yeah for it's blues brothers like yeah snl spinoff and um but one of the things he described that was so obvious like these car these cop cars just kept crashing into this ditch and it was like cop car after cop car and it was like an obscene amount of cars piling up and he was like i think a lot of these jokes wouldn't have landed if they didn't go so over the top with them yeah they had to like they dropped a car from really high up in
Starting point is 00:06:10 the air and they had to get like um air force uh approval oh my god to like from the government they had to get approval from the government to be able to be allowed to drop this car from a helicopter but anyways that that's what i was saying about exaggerated humor i love it and in conclusion i love i love exaggerated humor it's it is truly something new it's an art because it's when it's done well it's done very well but when it's done poorly it's done very poorly there's no room for gray area it and then you also kind of have to wonder like the over-the-top humor that isn't really funny i i don't think it was ever funny like those over exaggerated expressions but not funny in like a jim carrey way like you know what i mean
Starting point is 00:07:08 there was this era of shitty tiktok youtube humor oh my god just like big stupid faces yeah i feel like there was one person that did it very well i don't know who it was but like i'm sure that this is what happened there was one person that did it very well and people were like oh my god yeah jim carrey i can do that like i do that um we have a lot to cover today yeah we do and we actually crazy came with the same topics today i know we were running through what was on our list i was like this is gonna be so easy i love this so much which thing should we start with i kind of think we should start with sydney swing i think so too because the second two go together uh-huh like yeah did you ever do grace in high school absolutely okay it was the first play i
Starting point is 00:07:56 was in in high school oh my god it was the first time i was in middle school into a theater kid wow uh i was a um background dancer because i wasn't a good enough singer to be on the the chorus yeah i was a cheerleader for that same reason we had we had um dance chorus and like i don't yeah they called it song chorus but i was always on dance chorus haters i don't mind i was like stoked to be dancing oh good i couldn't dance at all they always paired me with the best male dancer in the cast and he was a bitch he was so mean and petty and he would be he would hate that he was paired with me because i was like the heaviest girl and he would have to do like lifts and i was the worst one dancing you should you shouldn't have some bitch ass weak arms yeah
Starting point is 00:08:46 okay go to the gym then bitch ever heard of it ever heard of the ever heard of the gym anyway so we're going to you stupid twink no one cares that you're the hottest guy in musical theater if you're gay and he wasn't even out then but everyone knew oh yeah i mean everybody he was dating a girl who was also in theater and we're like girl you know too what you know and now he's i'm pretty sure married to a man i'm happy for him same girl um okay so we have all of our topics are surrounding celebrity couples so sydney sweeney this is breaking news hot by the way yeah sydney sweeney has called off her engagement with her unknown boyfriend he's a producer uh oh yeah and
Starting point is 00:09:39 he was allegedly on set for the whole movie that she was fucking glenn powell yes um tongue punching his fart box she i don't know why i said that i don't know why i said i wish someone would punch my heart box the holy spirit just took over my body i didn't even like choose to say that okay continue uh yeah she called off her engagement to her fiance that no one ever saw her way yeah yeah they had a very private relationship which i'm all for honestly i i support having a private relationship but also i i'm gonna say it i'm kind of stoked for oh yeah she should be fucking glenn powell yeah oh well and then the thing that makes this interesting information is that uh like almost immediately after she
Starting point is 00:10:31 ended her relationship with him she was at glenn powell's sister's wedding tongue punching his fart box i like if they don't get together i'm gonna be fucking pissed they absolutely want to be together no they i mean they're already fucking they just they look like a couple they look like a couple that you would think would be together you know they're giving they're giving like beautiful cheerleader yeah beautiful beautiful most popular cheerleader and star football player yes but i don't hate them together no yeah it's getting taylor swift and travis kelsey for me i'm like that makes sense i see them together i'm like yeah of course you know yeah these two white people that republicans love for
Starting point is 00:11:13 some reason should be together absolutely and they and they are um he broke up with his girlfriend while filming anyone but you oh fuck so that was part of the people that that's what started some of the rumors about that oh shit yeah and their chemistry is insane like their whole press circuit was crazy to watch I was gonna say well I mean like I'm I'm not surprised that they have chemistry and I also think like sometimes you can't really control who you have chemistry with sure but and also I also don't think that they hooked up on set on set agree to disagree I I think no because that is not exciting yeah oh yeah for them to be like to edge each other a little bit yes we it's i said it okay i said it at the beginning of the year 2025 yearning is in the year
Starting point is 00:12:02 of the edging and i love that for them yeah i want them i want i want them to have just experienced so much yearning on set yeah and just like a real jim and pam situation you know you're at work you're at your place of work yeah and it's fun because you like get to flirt with the person you have a crush with like as your job yeah um but then also your boyfriend with a receding hairline is watching the whole thing happen yeah yeah but I'm I'm happy for her I never understood I mean obviously it's not our thing to understand I never understood that pairing her and her ex fiance I'm just like how did you guys meet how did he bag you because like she is I mean you know whatever it's again we we're not we don't know their relationship but I guess now we kind
Starting point is 00:12:52 to do because i think he was pretty mean to her at the end is what rumors are saying oh really that's that's what the streets are because he was so jealous and insecure about glenn glenn powell but also how many how often do you witness and like have you witnessed a very beautiful talented woman that you love dating some fucking schlub who also treats her like shit so often like till his oldest time there's never a reason to treat your significant other like shit right but i'm like you can't be mid at best and also be an absolute insecure douchebag yes there's just you can't be both no okay pick one and i mean the only one like you you don't have a choice if you're a schlub you don't have a choice you have to have a good personality yeah
Starting point is 00:13:41 and we've always been we've always said that we have saying that yeah you have to have a good personality regardless of how you look yes and I feel like a lot of like internet boys don't understand that they think that like hot men always end up on top and like maybe for the wrong girls they do and I mean this is I I mentioned this last week that I think it's like a little relevant I don't think we need to expand on it a lot but I think that um the Ashton whatever his last name is the the tiktok influencer guy who seems like ashlyn something he has like a yeah he he went viral for his morning routine where he wakes up at 3 a.m and like just dunks his face in water expensive bottled water i think he was just refilling the same
Starting point is 00:14:31 bottle but it cracks open like multiple times throughout the video so he might have added that sound in yeah i can see that i mean it would be hard well when he's like rubbing the banana peel on his face it's like really loud and i'm just like do there are some benefits if you google it but like they're not backed by anything that would clog up my pores like crazy i i i'm like i don't know what it does so who am i to judge but um i'll judge overall though like that is a man's idea of masculinity because this guy is just performing discipline and i mean obviously it's not all men it's not not all men not all men's idea of masculinity right but um the overall patriarchal idea of masculinity is performing discipline yeah like this guy we don't actually know if
Starting point is 00:15:22 he's disciplined at all it also when you watch it i think my favorite part was when um he's like and then i and then you journal and it's his first time writing in the fucking journal he's writing on page one yeah like you couldn't even pretend that you've been journaling i know i'll put up like a later page this is my first time journaling dear journal this i think the overall point i was trying to make too is this is not content that is designed to appeal or attract women but then it's being held in this light that this is peak masculinity and if you are able to perform or amount to this amount of discipline then you will be a desirable man to women yeah and like the the female like appearance in the video is like his wife like handing like making him breakfast and
Starting point is 00:16:21 handing it to him and like helping him like like handing him his shoes and stuff and like it's just the the whole idea mommy right the whole idea that like maybe this is what's attractive to women and then it like portrays a woman as a servant it's like yeah this isn't an object this isn't what you think that it is it's and you're like like you're saying this is very much so for like the insecure male audience this guy is he's a trainer like he's like a personal personal help is that the word I'm looking for life coach I guess yeah he's like a life coach and like sells courses so like of course this is how he's yeah all successful people are selling a course he didn't even include like when in the day he does steroids so we know that it's not true it's just very obvious that I
Starting point is 00:17:08 I think it's just like really easy to um pretend that you are like financially successful without ever actually having to prove that yeah so again I mean like I also think it was interesting observing this like really detailed like routine and comparing it to women doing this yeah having a very like disciplined and extreme routine and with skincare and like have you seen the morning shed videos no oh yeah yes they drive me nuts like the morning shed videos it for those of you who aren't chronically online and um have any sort of sense of stability let me explain it to you um the morning peel is these girls who are probably like 25 years old max peel off all of this shit from their face so like mouth tape um the little
Starting point is 00:18:10 anti-wrinkle patches um they take off like a bonnet and they're white and they have like a face mask on that they've kept on overnight i'm like how are you supposed to sleep first of all i would feel so stuff like a mummy yeah yeah i'm like i want to be comfortable yeah and at the end of the day is any of this worth it no i just and and they take it all off and oh and the chin strap it's like this strap that goes under your chin and around your head what's that for oh it's supposed to make you not have a double chin does that work no but i also like to think they i not like to think i think they believe it works because they're young yeah not to say i'm not young but i'm i'm just like okay you've never you you don't have any wrinkles yeah right you
Starting point is 00:19:04 don't need to be doing this i would pay money actually i would pay money to see frank waking up next to me looking like that like mouth tape nose chin strap wrinkle tape like skin like skincare mask all night take all this stuff off oh my god it's crazy and over it's just it's just like this little look into over consumerism like it's a little repulsive because at the end of the day that's literally what it is these things aren't going to change how you look they're not going to like make you beautiful i i don't know you know the only thing that i could say is if it makes them feel better and it's it's providing some sort of placebo effect i'm all for it you know yeah if this makes you feel good do it but like if you're doing it and you're making yourself
Starting point is 00:19:55 uncomfortable because you think it's going to make you look younger and you're 25 years old go take a lap yep just take a lap just take take a few around the building you need to not have an iphone yeah you need to not have a smartphone and you need to go outside you need to find jesus yeah you need to wear clothes that you regret um and like black out at the bars and make out with people you regret making out with a smartphone i get so i'm not gonna get i'm not no i'm not opening this can can of worms okay let's move on sydney sweeney one last one last thing that i'll say like i i think the hatred for sydney sweeney from other women is annoying as fuck oh absolutely like and it's masqueraded as like tea or celebrity gossip or like think just saying she's not a girl's
Starting point is 00:20:54 girl because Republicans love her like that's not something that she can control and I also think it's because like her tits are always out yeah but also where are they gonna go they're big yeah and like like I've said someone with big tits there aren't a lot of options they're there or you're covering them up like well the thing is too it's like now that everyone knows that they're there if she covered them up she would get hate for covering them up I I personally I think it was like a fun move to be like she's got great tits let's put them out there absolutely but i mean like billy eilish is a good example billy eilish loves her boobs like she's like been on record being like my favorite part of my body is my enormous mommy milkers and she covers
Starting point is 00:21:38 them up and gets so much hate for like dressing like a like a 90s football player you know yeah and it's like okay so which one is it because if she's showing them she's getting hated on and if she's covering them up she's getting hated on it's just such like a female it's it's a perfect encapsulation of the female experience yeah no matter what you're never good enough yeah i don't know i agree with you i think that if you're a mom fuck you if you're not a mom fuck you yeah it's that dichotomy but like i it it just is like so fucking enraging and irritating that there's always a woman in the cultural zeitgeist that like mainstream media wants you to hate like it was most recently Blake Lively yeah and I'm I'm not completely up to date on all of that drama
Starting point is 00:22:29 and it's because I kind of stopped like I didn't I don't give a shit I think everybody stopped giving a shit and it's not like I I kind of read about it at first like obviously the whole thing with like the first um round of publicity for what's that stupid it ends with us it was really good um so like the first tour everyone's like speculating why justin baldoni is not on tour with everybody else and um people are like it's because blake lively sucks yeah and I was just like okay whatever I don't care um I'm not gonna watch this movie regardless and then once I started reading more when like the kind of second like press release came out because Blake Lively was like this guy started a smear campaign against me and um it was
Starting point is 00:23:29 essentially like he did it as a way to preemptively combat any sort of hate he would have gotten for her complaints about his behavior on set yeah which um i can't remember all of them but the one that stands out to me is he would like come into her dressing room when she was like uh breastfeeding or or pumping inappropriate um and would ask questions about her sex life with ryan reynolds and then she would also he would also like leave her like really long voice notes in the middle of the night and like talk about there being like a baby on her boob like i bet you're listening to this at like and there's probably like a baby on your boob right now it's like this is all a lot of like really strange behavior around breastfeeding yeah yeah you know like there's just i don't know
Starting point is 00:24:18 where there's smoke there's fire i'm also just like okay think about any fucking workplace any workplace where this behavior would happen would be unacceptable right it would be an immediate lawsuit yeah so then like the the counter argument to that like the counter smear campaign to her being like no he he did this because he didn't want to he was trying to get in front of this shit when she was just gonna like not say anything yeah right you could have just kept your fucking mouth shut yeah and both of you would have had a perfectly fine time yeah and then um from what i know maybe there has been more information about this but like i said i kind of was just like okay i'm done i don't care um was just that blake lively was a bitch yeah i'm like okay okay
Starting point is 00:25:13 yeah uh do you know how many bitches i know i know a lot of bitches and i can be one myself that doesn't mean I think that they deserve to be sexually harassed in their place of work right and I mean there's like a lot of like their evidence and like a paper trail of Justin Baldoni like planning a smear campaign like with a well-oiled machine of a PR team and like it's just but then everyone forgot about that when like then it came back on her again like it's just I don't know it's just gross and that's like that's why I'm like wait so why do people hate blake lively because from my perspective i'm like okay she was a bitch at work yeah there's like mean girls exist interviews of her being like a bitch to like reporters yeah i again i still i
Starting point is 00:26:02 have the same stance of like i don't care if you're a bitch that also doesn't mean i think that you deserve to be sexually harassed absolutely totally and and um i heard uh taylor lorenz referred to this kind of content as misogyny slop and it's kind of like um instead of like kind of like the the gym bro to alt-right pipeline misogyny slop is kind of the alt-right pipeline for women because it's like kind of disguised as like celebrity drama or gossip or tea and the people you see making content about these topics like about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni about Amber Heard and Johnny Depp they've never commented on this shit before they've never like they're doing it because it's publicly relevant and then they become like
Starting point is 00:26:59 uh unofficial lawyers on YouTube they're like or like this is this is uh what I think about their this person's um body language i'm a body language expert yeah what the fuck is that yeah so i do think i really like the the name the nomenclature of misogyny slop yeah it rolls off the tongue it really is misogyny slop yeah it's like totally okay you're just you're making this into a big thing and you're focusing on like this woman is speaking out against a man we need to hate her yeah and it's very easy to dog pile onto that oh for sure when it's relevant it's like everyone's jumping on the the bandwagon like it it constantly annoys the shit out of me yeah and i feel like sydney sweeney kind of gets this undeserved misogyny slop totally like yeah you don't
Starting point is 00:27:57 actually know these people no and you don't know these people you're not an expert it's a perfect segue into our next couple our next two couples that we're talking about because i mean i was it's up on my tv right now because i was i was doing my research on the hayley bieber justin bieber stuff that's going on right now with like there's there is this like internet i think it was internet anarchist was who who did it i don't know i don't remember yeah it's like a seven part series on oh i didn't watch the seven parts oh internet oddities is who did it and the one that i watched and about how like hayley bieber like followed justin bieber around for years and like orchestrated this marriage from the time that she was 13 she would like
Starting point is 00:28:41 she was like in touch with his fan accounts and like to be like what hotel is he staying at and then she would go there and like eat with her friend like to run into him and like become like super prevalent in his life and like in his face and now that people are seeing all of these things like these like spill sesh like tea youtubers are pointing out things that like she said in interviews and like that he's said in interviews about them being like an arranged marriage and like being like oh my god he's stuck in this relationship like look at look at him on his wedding day he looks miserable like he probably misses selena so much i see a lot of people like um like yeah these t youtube channels or whatever you want to call them um like i'll see these
Starting point is 00:29:32 videos on tiktok and on youtube just kind of going through this like complete timeline of like hayley bieber's behavior and then cross-referencing it with like justin bieber and selena gomez and like everything they were doing and like her interviews where she says something similar to what selena has said in a different interview and when i think about it i'm like like okay if we go all the way back to the beginning when hayley bieber is a teenager yeah hayley bieber is a teenager like following justin around i think like that's some shit i would have done with my friends absolutely as a teenager i literally did that with one direction yeah you're like where are they i'm gonna i'm gonna go eat dinner with my friends there
Starting point is 00:30:18 yeah um like that's like silly stuff that you would do as a teenager with your friends totally and i she is in a different situation than a normal teenager would be where you're part of an influential family with connections yeah so you have a higher likelihood that you're actually going to be able to meet and be in the same circle as your celebrity crush and who wouldn't fucking lose their mind over that right like yeah i'm sure as a teenager she was obsessed with him but there's also like she also loved selena gomez and she loved the two of them together because that's what you do when you're a teenager and when you're a stan like i don't know i've never had that kind of like obsession with a celebrity but that's what i think her underdeveloped child
Starting point is 00:31:12 brain was probably thinking i mean totally we're acting like she's this master manipulator as a 13 year old have you talked to a 13 year old right do you really think they could do something like they could manipulate someone into their marriage and i also think that like her marriage to justin like sure he probably was miserable because i think he's just an unhappy person who has been surrounded by people who just want to take advantage of him yeah and like he he has like like songs about that and interviews about it do you think that a man who rushes into a marriage with someone he's been dating for three months is happy yeah is a happy person no no yeah and it was right it was right on the heels of him getting back with selena gomez too yeah they
Starting point is 00:32:03 were back together and then three months later he is married to hayley bieber which i'm sure sent selena gomez into a tailspin because uh-huh she well she went to like rehab like emotional rehab yeah she got l woods yeah right yeah and if you that's a reference to a previous episode and if you haven't been l woods then your opinion doesn't matter in this circumstance yeah you don't get to say but it does i i feel like the whole there is so much evidence of like hayley kind of like copying selena's career like she's made very similar moves posted like pictures that are very similar to like what she's posted in the past but like who amongst us hasn't been trying to be like oh a man that we loves x or somebody that we perceive him to be attracted to getting married
Starting point is 00:32:56 that quickly to someone on the tail of them breaking up with their on and off again like childhood long long time love like yeah you're gonna be insecure about that yeah and i also think like they are young yeah and they got married like she was pretty young when they got married like what 23 right and they don't have like normal human experiences like we have they have entirely they have been they've grown up entirely differently than us so like what looks wild and unhinged to us might be wild and unhinged but like it might not be like they come from different backgrounds they've had different experiences specifically justin bieber he was like girls were like fainting at his concerts when he was like 13 yeah you know like he he has not
Starting point is 00:33:43 had like the most normal life so it's it just feels like there is not any slack being cut for any of these people but also he is looking a little unwell the last couple of days it makes me so sad i've been seeing more and more videos of him his behavior where he like he looks kind of like strung out yeah yeah he he's acting like you know some of the meth heads we'll see on the streets here and um i also want to say like when i see the comments people are again so quick to point the finger at hayley bieber like why aren't you doing anything blah blah blah this woman just had this man's child yeah first of all and to say like you're not doing anything it is incredibly fucked up to place the responsibility of an addict onto one person who is just like you don't know
Starting point is 00:34:44 what's going on right and an addict is not like someone who's going to change just because you're begging them to right right and i don't know right that also upsets me because people did the same thing to ariana grande when mac miller died and it's like you can you cannot blame this woman who has probably been through hell and back like to to love someone who is an addict I can't even imagine yeah the turmoil Stephen Baldwin heard her dad Stephen's her dad yeah yeah he has been like posting like please pray for Haley and Justin which is like I mean dad all of the baldwins are like a little like a little a little gotta screw loose but like there's been clearly something going on for a while here like that was never confirmed what that was like well and he
Starting point is 00:35:40 probably had to do like private testimony with about his experience with p diddy like do you know how that something that traumatic could trigger a person yeah and now like he has they both have so many eyes on them and I think right now everything like focusing on them and their relationship and like once again hashing out this like one-to-one comparison of like Hayley and Selena and like trying to dissect these celebrities relationships we don't actually know what their inner world is like right but this is also all on the heels of Selena Gomez getting engaged to benny blanco big big stands here yeah on the holy hour of benny blanco which is new because benny blanco was when they first started dating like he was he was caught up in some sort of
Starting point is 00:36:37 controversy where people are like really i'm gonna see what reddit is saying about his controversies because yeah somebody said why do we hate benny blanco he sexualized his dog and posted a video of his dog humping a toddler he also has a poop fetish that's why i think a lot of people don't like him hmm well that's a little weird but also like do we actually think he has a poop fetish come on i mean he's he's all about like his personality is being like over the top extreme and on his hot ones interview um the interview uh sean evans said that benny blanco said this to benny blanco's face with selena gomez there he said i'm grateful to you selena because he is so much more manageable to interview now like she's like calmed him down a lot because
Starting point is 00:37:25 that was his personality for a long time i'm not i'm not excusing any of this shit obviously like to be kind of like sexualizing a dog and like having a dog hump a toddler very weird shit but like that is very like steve-o like jackass behavior you know what i mean yeah it's just kind of like the over the top like we were saying i mean i think like if a dog is gonna hump a toddler you don't need to you don't need to take your phone out and post it right you should be like knock it off because dogs dogs are kind of gross yeah dogs be doing that they do be doing that they don't know they don't know what they're doing no but it does seem like she is being loved how she always wanted to be and like she seems the most like again we don't know what's going
Starting point is 00:38:08 on in these people's lives but she seems the most like grounded and happy yeah than she's ever seemed really yeah well and I yeah we can't like assume everything about someone's relationship but like their interviews together and even like their interviews like separately I I think that it makes a lot of sense that like they are so complimentary of each other obviously like I guess yeah she's made him more manageable and he's chilled out but um i watched like i kept getting clips of benny blanco's uh interview about like um the demos of the songs that he made in the 2010s um bangers by the way um but the things he was saying like he he's just so fascinating um when he's talking about his line of work like
Starting point is 00:39:09 this is someone who he was like yeah people would tell me like it's not gonna work it's not gonna work like he they said that about um maroon five and moves like jack yeah like just these absolute number one hits yeah people would be like it's not gonna work like and he's like just fuck off like i know that this is gonna be something yeah like this is gonna be a big thing and um he also gives artists like really individualized like experiences with him um he'll make people food too oh so he was telling the interviewer um he was like so what's your if your favorite food is like a chocolate cake your mom would make like i would ask you that in our first session and then you'd leave and then i would do everything i could to like get that recipe from your mom and have it
Starting point is 00:40:01 for you the next time you came over that's so admirable yeah he just like um and then the interviewer also asked another great question of like okay well what type of role do you play when you're working with an artist and he's like it depends on the artist like some some artists need you to kind of like help them the whole way um and then other artists you're just kind of there in the background to support them while they do their thing and I thought that was really interesting too but like when you hear someone talking about their craft and how they kind of became a master of their craft and it's because they're like intuitively good at this thing i think it's so interesting to yeah to see that but like basically my what i gathered in this
Starting point is 00:40:52 interview of him talking about the process of making these songs and like how he was treating the interviewer like he is such a deeply personable guy that it makes sense why someone who is has had probably a pretty traumatic childhood like I cannot imagine any childhood star being like normal the way that we are you know what I mean yeah she had a rough go of it yeah she had a hard childhood she like you know was dating Justin Bieber on and off and then being Elle Woods like that you're gonna have a mental breakdown yeah and so she clearly like kind of withdrew yeah and you have to kind of reassess like what's important to you when when something that has been such a staple like her relationship with Justin Bieber it's been
Starting point is 00:41:48 a prominent thing throughout her childhood and these developmental years and then you know you break up for a little bit and you think like maybe we'll get back together or whatever and then they get married to someone else yeah I remember seeing a picture of her walking around Disneyland with ankle weights and I was like girl if that ain't me yeah damn in there she did you see that there was a rumor that Justin Bieber called her like 28 times on his wedding day well didn't she put that lyric it's in a lyric yeah yeah which is wild because that rumor existed before that song came out so she's like all but confirming that that happened and it's interesting that Benny Blanco it's a joint album with the two of them and he's like fuck yeah let's fucking
Starting point is 00:42:32 throw that throw that in the album like well I mean that's that's also how he shows up to help artists make music is like sitting them down talking about their day and then just kind of like going with that vibe like if you had a shit day okay let's like write about it yeah um he did that with julia michaels with issues she like wrote that song because she had just broken up with her boyfriend and she was like a hot mess and he's like let's do something about it fuck yeah and then issues became a huge hit he was talking about you probably saw this interview it's probably the one that you're talking about but i've only seen clips of it but the um kesha song with the dj turn it up how like he had to create a bridge in like 30 minutes full interview it's fascinating
Starting point is 00:43:13 is it apple music that did the interview do you know i have no idea i just found the youtuber and i watched it i need to i need to watch it it's i really love watching that like there was an interview with him and her with selena gomez and him about um he he said something along the lines of like men act like what women need is so calm like complicated and like so much to ask for and like all that selena wants from me is to like for me to like tell her when i'm gonna be like two hours late to something like or just check in pull out my phone and just be like hey i'm going to be late like and this is exactly this is like i'm having a busy day but i'm thinking about you and i love you well the reason i loved this kind of like watching this interview or a few different
Starting point is 00:43:59 interviews with benny blanco and selena gomez while they were like promoting their new album together is because it reminded me so much of like my relationship with mr liz and your relationship with frank like it's when you see two people who have had these individual paths of growth and then they find each other and they have they help each other kind of heal from these past experiences because benny blanco says it in the interview like when you're dating someone you're also dating all of their past relationship experiences like they're like you both are going to have some baggage yeah so you need to be able to like accommodate some of those things and when he was explaining some of them i was like yeah mr liz does shit like that for me all the
Starting point is 00:44:44 time yeah like and once you figure it out like figure out how you need to communicate with each other it is second nature and it's it's so much more like normalized and represented to us to be annoyed by and dislike your partner yes whereas like and then you see you also see comments on things like that like oh this guy's a fucking cook it's like no actually he's just a good partner yeah and that's why he's dating this person well this is like we were what we were talking about with that with the influencer that does his morning routine like men will do anything to like not believe that personality matters for a for a man like they just it's like oh i'm not hot so women aren't gonna want me it's like but then everybody sees benny blanco walking around
Starting point is 00:45:33 with selena gomez and like he's not like without his personality he's not like traditionally attractive right like yeah i think that that's like common knowledge and he would say it like but like people were outraged when they started dating because it's like you can have anyone and you're dating him this fugo yeah and and i when i like that also pisses me off so fucking much i'm like okay they actually absolutely look like a couple i would know yeah you know you're right like this guy just looks like a regular guy yeah and then obviously she's a beautiful like celebrity right but women are beautiful okay yeah it's just inherent they can't do anything about sorry yeah we don't make the rules no but it's like it it's it's just like
Starting point is 00:46:20 the the idea that like women are complicated and we only want like hot hot men and like personality doesn't matter and like if i'm not six foot then i don't stand a chance is just like whenever there are examples of this like presented to us like well Benny Blanco is shorter than Selena Gomez and like you know is he I'm pretty sure he is I'm pretty sure he's like an inch shorter than her same with Tom Holland and Zendaya Zendaya is taller than him short kings short kings short kings rise up absolutely it's just work on your personality and then come come talk to us you know what I mean like yeah well I mean if if your ideology is like well women only date hot rich dudes you have to be hot or you have to be rich that you need to sit
Starting point is 00:47:06 and ask yourself like why is that a narrative you're telling yourself because to me it's like you're just trying to find a reason to not like yourself right and but the easiest way to like avoid the true hatred you have for yourself is to blame it on other people yeah so i mean the easiest things to do are to be like well women don't like me because i'm not hot and i'm not rich yeah that's absolve responsibility like that it doesn't matter how many times people say it like that's not true yeah and and women have been screaming that right but they're still like looking to people like andrew tate to like give them advice on why they're alone easy thing it's just easier to believe that and not do anything yeah because i don't know it's just so much more
Starting point is 00:47:59 peaceful when you like yourself like you should want to like yourself yeah like truly you should want to like yourself and like when you're alone like and sitting in your own company you should be able to enjoy that time instead of be like i'm gonna consume this rage bait content right I don't know everyone's concerned it's not just alt-right men but the rage bait content is I mean it's just you're stuck with yourself your whole life so like you do it if for nobody else do it for yourself just be better there's this kind of disconnect people have um when they think about their future selves they think about their future self as someone else and not like you right now yeah I I think that something with that has just kind of come with age and I'm also glad it's
Starting point is 00:48:52 come at this time or I mean at least a little bit sooner than now um is thinking about my future self as somebody that I love and like I want her to be happy so I'm like going to do shit to make sure that she is happy and comfortable yeah and i don't know yeah it's like easier when you think of it like that i love that like think of how you want it sound i mean it's gonna sound so fucking stupid and simple overly simplified when i say it but maybe it is that simple like when you think about like okay how do i want to feel what kind of life do i want to have like those things don't just happen like once you kind of have a better idea of those things then you can start planning for it now yeah there i i i do so my i do have kind of like almost it's like my most
Starting point is 00:49:48 like right-leaning guilty pleasure oh no um i i wouldn't say it's more on the moderate side okay it's not like full right wing content but um it's it's a financial content oh um caleb hammer um he has like a youtube channel i'm sure and it's it's so fucking annoying how clickbaity it is but like i don't know it works we all need something and if it's this me watching this guy yell at people for being stupid with their money is it an old man no oh he's like 30 oh okay yeah he has like curly hair and glasses um and he'll have people come on to a show called financial audit and he'll talk to them and they'll start like telling him maybe like a lot of the times too much personal detail about their lives um but they'll go over their spending habits and
Starting point is 00:50:44 like why they're in the situation they're in and then he'll like give them a really hard time he'll be like so you're at this job that like hasn't paid you in three months what the fuck are you doing and then um if they do something stupid like they're already in a shit ton of debt and they like buy a new car he's like what the fuck is wrong with you he really he can be a little bit much but well he loses his shit on them and then he'll go through all of their spending and then be like and then give them a budget of like okay well here's all your debt and here's what you need to do to get out of your debt and here's how long it's going to take you um damn yeah so um some of them are some of them are sincere like if it's like a a clear if it's a couple
Starting point is 00:51:33 and it's clear financial abuse he gets kind of serious and um his team does help people like help them set up like services yeah yeah that's my that's my my uh almost right yeah my and then i i do think that he's probably a moderate because he's like people always try and guess what uh politic politics i believe in and no one's gotten it right and then i'm like you're you're probably just a fucking moderate yeah probably one of those guys who's like i'm fiscally conservative and i'm socially liberal yeah people used to say that shit all the time in like high school that was like the cool thing to be in high school fiscally conservative and socially socially liberal like shut up you don't know what that means what does fiscal mean i like that you
Starting point is 00:52:31 had that experience in high school but when i was in high school i didn't know what that meant i was like okay everyone was just saying it because their parents said it i don't know anyway i'm conservative um what does that mean you should conserve your voice and shut up you don't want to show off your titties yeah because whatever the opposite of that is yeah i don't know what that means yeah anyway it's out for the boys i think that we should wrap on a fun note okay and my fun note is i just want to i feel like i've talked way too much this episode but i want to share um some of the little things i like to do yeah to treat myself i love this do you do anything like that you're like this is a special treat for me yeah
Starting point is 00:53:16 but you do yours first because i'm sure it's going to inspire more my i have to consciously do it because if i just if i like i have to tell myself like oh i'm gonna make this like fun and cute yeah um otherwise if i'm just doing it and not paying attention it's just kind of like living yeah but the ways i like to do a little treat for myself is um i'll buy a fun drink so a fun drink is like i know everybody like hates poppy right now why i think it has too much fiber in it i think you're not supposed to drink uh there's something wrong like you shouldn't be drinking this drink regularly uh well regularly i mean anything in you can over consume anything it's true but anyway that's true justice for moderation yeah um so yeah it'll be like i mean i prefer
Starting point is 00:54:05 olipop but they're almost always sold out at the grocery store so um it'll be like an olipop or poppy and um i'll get like a cute glass and i have all these fun straws so i'll put it in a cute glass that maybe i wouldn't normally put it in um and then i have a fun straw and then i'll like have that as my like enjoyment nighttime beverage or something um i also like to do uh an everything shower on sunday um where i do like i double wash my hair you've talked about this on the pod yeah yeah i do that it's such a good idea i've also recently implemented what i call mouth spa and to let you know what mouth spa is so this is what i'm doing when i'm doing my my my everything shower once i get out of the everything shower at this point i have no makeup on um i have double
Starting point is 00:55:00 cleansed my face oil cleanser foaming cleanser um probably exfoliated i use a little rubber exfoliator thing on my face um just to kind of every night or just sundays just sundays maybe once or twice a week because you shouldn't over exfoliate yeah my dermatologist said if we were supposed to exfoliate our skin we would have really rough fingertips wow that's wise yeah anyway uh crush on him exfoliate uh and then yeah i'll come out of the shower squeaky clean and then i will start squeezing my my like they're not i mean i call them blackheads but they're not blackheads they're like the sebaceous filaments on your nose god mine i've always had them you know i'll just start trying to squeeze those out um as much as i can until i'm finally
Starting point is 00:55:55 like okay i'm fucking done i can't do this anymore and then i put on a nice clay mask and i let that dry um and then i'll do a hydrating mask and then i'll do my moisturizing routine and then mouth spa um so mouth spa is when i do the regular floss i use floss picks i cannot use the the regular dental floss so i use the floss picks and then i also use my water flosser the people love their water flossers i i do love my water flosser um and then i brush with my electric toothbrush which automatically times like every 30 seconds it'll pause yeah and then um yeah so I'll do like outside top teeth outside bottom teeth and then inside top teeth inside bottom teeth and just really get in there love that I love mouth spa I love mouth spa too I feel
Starting point is 00:56:54 so good when I do it good I've had to recently start using two expensive types of toothpaste because I have sensitive gums um Sensodyne by the way remarkable I do I do love Sensodyne but I also bought i like super minty toothpaste though me too but i can't use it anymore because of my sensitive gums um i also bought this like really bougie toothpaste that my dentist told me about i think it's called david's have you seen this i think i have it's really like i'm a sucker for packaging so like i'm i'm into it but like it's very expensive toothpaste and then um cocoa floss have you seen cocoa floss no i didn't my mom uses it and she fucking loves it and she sent me a spool it's ten dollar a spool like it's expensive floss but it's like thick it's like
Starting point is 00:57:39 thicker it's a lot more like um it it feels more it's more fun to floss with it i can't explain it but the girl is that no no and it's like apparently like trending on tiktok i told my dentist that i've been using it and he was like oh or did you like hop on the tiktok trend i'm like no my mother my mom loves this shit and has gotten my dad on it my brother introduced me to emma chamberlain yeah I love that I love that I love when they're ahead of the curve yeah yeah um but yeah no I I needed to I have like a nighttime toothpaste and a morning time toothpaste now because it's just fascinating but I go to the dentist every six months now because I haven't been to the dentist in several years you have to go I know have you Mr. Liz made a dentist appointment
Starting point is 00:58:22 I've noticed I do this sometimes where if he does something I feel like I'm and it's something that like why would i be involved in that but i feel left out like he did his taxes without me what the hell i was like what the fuck yeah you already did your taxes oh fuck dude what am i supposed to do yeah and he's like i'll help you do your taxes he did my taxes last year uh my dad and that's what i mean having a man to do your taxes is really the only reason to date one you know what i mean you're so right about that um yeah and then he made he's like i made a dentist appointment and i was like what without me yeah what am i supposed to do that yeah i don't know i don't know why i'm like what the fuck you made a dentist appointment without me well i mean
Starting point is 00:59:11 it's good inspo it's it's very the amount of time that passes between dentist appointments for me is scary but now like after going i got a lot of compliments my dentist was like did you go to another dentist between visits because it's been years and your teeth look so healthy i'm like bitch i hope that you want me to suck your dick i'll suck your dick like you don't have to i hope i get that kind of feedback from my dentist after not going for like six years i had a receding receding gum line two three years ago i remember when you had to have your gum graft i was scared i was gonna have to do another one because my teeth have been so sensitive but i don't you believe we've been doing this podcast for five years it's gonna be five years in june that's
Starting point is 00:59:49 absolutely wild time cute we have to do something fun for our five year okay i don't know twist my arm i love a party um we were so young for we really were for my um treat myself to answer your question from before um i did finally buy a red light mask after doing a ton of research and decided that i i'm not ready to jump into the 500 hashtag not sponsored hashtag not sponsored i did so much fucking research on the plane yesterday trying to figure out like a like what to look for in masks um and found one that had really good reviews and somebody had like written an amazon review about how much i loved it and then came back five months later to like update on their progress and they've they had seen changes so i got one it's called an into in teo i don't know
Starting point is 01:00:39 it's just like one of the ones on amazon but it had good reviews i bought it it came yesterday because amazon and i don't know it's just like i used it last night for the first time and i was like this is so this is like a fun thing for me to do for myself uh-huh you know like regardless of like the benefits of it or whatever if it's like a total mumbo jumbo which i don't think it is no there's been a lot of studies on red light that's what i was seeing online but people love the panels the panels are expensive for the good ones so i'm like i got a starter mask we're gonna see how it goes costco allegedly has some really good panels really because i've been wanting to do panels but i'm also like where the fuck am i gonna put these yeah so that's been and maybe i
Starting point is 01:01:20 should actually try like a red light spa before i invest in buying panels and seattle suntan does red light spas we should go together we should there's one like very close to us yeah well i i've been there and i still have two spray tans left me too my three spray tan package oh my god i was planning on using them this summer yeah i know i need to i need to plan mine out wisely i'm trying to get into i want to have a hot girl summer yes um because i couldn't work out for like a year yeah and when i was at my best friend's wedding i was like probably i i i did gain weight but i also was i've been traveling so much and eating like shit and when you do that and you just kind of blow up yeah you know yeah you're just like your body's hanging on to whatever
Starting point is 01:02:05 moisture isn't alcohol yeah and salty fast food so i was too bloated to fit comfortably into the dress i bought so this summer is dress redemption fuck yeah um dress redemption yeah and i'm gonna i'm gonna get my dress tailored to be t-length oh cute i know i love that i feel like t-length is a good length and it's underrated absolutely especially if you have good calves and you do you have good calves and good shins i have like a weird i feel like my torso is too short i don't know i feel like my body looks weird and certain things that look normal on other people maybe i feel like everybody feels like that yeah it's just like being a person it's being a woman but i think that t-length looks good on me yeah fuck yeah if i can do it yeah i love that i'm
Starting point is 01:02:51 gonna try that i'm going to arizona in july with frank and like 30 of his friends um and all of the women in this no it's um they just do like a yearly trip all of the women in the group are fucking stunning like not even exaggerating every single woman in that group is stunning so i'm like okay i need to like get my act together other point women are hot women are hot they just are but i'm like you thank you but then you're all there's always the little the annoying girl on the back of your head that's like you gotta get ripped for this yeah look into ozempic no dude i'm getting a million ads for like i get so many ads for so i finally filled out one of the like um quizzes to see if i would like be pre-approved because
Starting point is 01:03:34 i'm like why am i being targeted so much so i finally clicked it so of course now i'm being targeted more because i clicked it but i finally clicked you're being targeted for it because you're a woman in your 30s yeah well i took well i took the quiz and it was like nope sorry so i tried to fill it out a different way and it was like nope sorry so i don't know what the requirements of it are but anyway regardless requirements are you go to mexico and you buy it yeah i don't think you i feel like i know so many people who take yeah there's a million of them now i just i i i'm like yeah if you want to take ozempic go for it i guess but the thing that concerns me is
Starting point is 01:04:12 like what are the long-term effects of this yeah we don't know yeah we're not gonna know if you stop taking it like the likelihood that you'll gain all that weight back in more i'm just like is this like a crash diet version for like millennials or i don't know for this generation it's like the cocaine of our generation it stresses me out this is the new hollywood diet i just feel like it's a matter of time before we start seeing ads for like a class action lawsuit against like ozempic and knockoff ozempic brands smeglu whatever yeah the semi-glutide or whatever um that's also not it doesn't have the same ingredients as ozempic yeah i mean there's so many of them now there's moon haro is another one that's like
Starting point is 01:04:58 in the headlines now because megan trainer has been like super open about using it which like we could all tell sis i don't even know what megan trainer looks like she looks so fucking good and like she lost she was beautiful before she lost so much weight out of nowhere and everyone's like that is ozempic and she's like bitch no it's not it's manu whatever and she also got a boob job she got her dream boobs because her boobs were saggy after having two kids after having two kids and taking ozempic you want to play us out more than anything we love you our children thank you i always contribute i'm trying to find new ways to contribute it was beautiful
Starting point is 01:05:45 what you just did i needed percussion i was thinking you know what today's song needs percussion and you know mouth percussion yeah okay bye Thank you.
