Starting point is 00:00:00 Have you heard about this? That's how it starts. Have you heard about this? I'm selling a life-size, completely proportional, fully mobile doll in the likeness of Jay Leno. we're live we're here we're recording remotely you want to be on top have you watched the america's got talent no not america's got talent america's next top model documentary yet it's the same thing very close in name uh similarly named no um we don't have netflix well that's right you use like plexi or whatever right plex oh i was so close yeah you were one less syllable it was like when I was trying to get the name of the
Starting point is 00:00:59 conference that you were at right and I just got all the words right but not in the right order I get the essence of things correctly but never the full thing I didn't tweet this and by tweet I mean post on threads because I don't like Twitter
Starting point is 00:01:14 or believe in it but I saved it as a draft but I had written like Gatsby stop he's being such a little fucker today wow gats i wouldn't expect that from him i haven't even been home that long i came home and mr liz was like gatsby's being a terror and then he immediately was a terror my god uh but anyways this threads post that i didn't post because i
Starting point is 00:01:43 was like if anyone at work sees this i don't want them to get mad but i was like at tech conventions it's just a bunch of dudes who look like jd vance bumbling around and saying words like uh agentic ai i okay i have not i realized like four days ago what agentic means it's it's unnecessary it's so extra word it is just like ai agents just like call it what it is yeah and then even that it's like well what's an agent it's just like imagine if um it's just clippy yeah ai is just clippy so imagine if like everything you were doing had a clippy i remember in the days of aol instant messenger how obsessed i was with smarter child and it had like what's that oh my god did you never talk to smarter child it was like it was like a chat bot it was like
Starting point is 00:02:37 one of the first chat bots did you ever text cha-cha yeah oh yeah all the time um there's something I saw that something else recently on threads someone shared it it's like human AI or something and it's like you ask it a question and it's a real person on the other side just like they have 75 seconds to like write a reply that's so fucking funny it'll be like I don't want to do that and then it'll give you something else that's incredible we've really made a full circle we really have that's so fun have you have you played around with um oh my god i don't remember what it's called but it's like that genie that like guess it can like guess exactly what you're you want it to guess i think i have done that it's you unlocked a core memory so it's made a
Starting point is 00:03:24 comeback and it's like even like stronger now it you can have it guess anything you can like have a guess like lance armstrong's right testicle you know what i mean like and and it'll get it it's fucking crazy there did you ever play I can't remember the name of it but it's basically Pictionary and you play it like with strangers Inklink or friends no it was called like draw I think it was literally called draw something oh I don't know I used to catfish boys on Inklink I said that I was like when I was like 13 I'm 16 I was 16 I was a 16 super hot I was a blonde surfer in california i wonder what the most likely scenario is of like who the other person you were talking to is like were they also other 13 year old girls probably not you know i
Starting point is 00:04:14 think i mean i was a 13 year old girl doing the same thing that's true you know there's a hundred percent of this podcast or was it like a 40 year old dude living in his mom's basement that's what i was concerned about like i had a boyfriend that i met in a chat room when i was nine that's amazing but it was it was he nine probably not you know what i mean like he was probably like a some like a man and they're so like i watch so much to catch a predator now i'm like i have a girlfriend she's nine years old yeah that was like a 60 year old man living in his mom's basement still like if there's i don't know if at that time would a 60 year old man know how to use AOL instant messenger and would his mom still be alive is another good question you know if his mom
Starting point is 00:04:57 had him when she was like 20 yeah she would still be alive there's a chance I mean and that's a little yeah we're getting into the nitty-gritty um so I had texted Amelia this earlier but I had been scrolling the 2x chromosome subreddit and the ask women over 30 subreddit and they had some like good questions I didn't realize I had the setting turned on to like top of the year or something or top of the month um and I was like oh these questions are really good and that's why I didn't realize I had that setting turned on side note I used to think that women were more um rare because they are rare they are rare and they're the best beauties but I was like the odds of there being 2x chromosomes is smaller because you already have 1x like in my mind I was like
Starting point is 00:05:52 I was breaking down the probability of like getting the same letter twice and I was 100% convinced that I was like on like kind of like a gambling thing yeah is that what I think I think so I think I was like the odds of me being a woman was so low and like look at me I did for the most part isn't the population like pretty much 50 50 worldwide yeah but i know it varies by country i thought i was like big braining something you know what i mean yeah it doesn't vary by country so they had some good questions and i figured you and i could answer them and um i can also read what they posted okay oh i'm nervous i don't know why uh well no they're like easy questions okay or well like fun to talk about I think this one is good what dating
Starting point is 00:06:41 slash relationship slash marriage green flags did you later realize was actually a myth like things that we thought were green flags when we were younger yeah well when I read that question I can start because I thought about it when I read that question the first thing I thought of was like that relationships are supposed to be easy because I think that like really minimizes like how much work does go into a good relationship and like just because I think there's like a difference between like a difficult relationship where you're like fighting and arguing all the time and you're just not a good match and like being easy because you're not confrontational yeah like I don't think I mean I'm sure some people's relationships are easy but I'm thinking
Starting point is 00:07:28 about like my mom would always say that she's like a relationship is supposed to be easy but she and my dad like are not good at managing conflict together like they just would like if there was any sort of like disagreement it wasn't a conversation it was like tension and then they both pretend nothing happened and there's no resolution and I don't really think like sure maybe that's easy but it's not like growth and I think that like when I reflect on my past relationships they were not easy because we were not like good together and then I think about my relationship with Mr. Liz and like there has been like work but it's like growth yeah I don't know it feels like yeah it feels like a red flag if there's no like yeah I think if you know how to
Starting point is 00:08:21 like resolve conflict together like you you don't want to be in a relationship where everything has been easy and you've never faced any challenges because then if you've never faced a single challenge how do you know you're going to get through it like you you need to know how to be productive in a disagreement totally yeah no I completely agree that's a good one thank you I don't know I feel like what I heard a lot growing up that was just like not true but I like really believed that it was was that opposites attract like yeah that's a good one that's just not I mean it's maybe true like my parents are like pretty different from each other you know and I think that I saw that and I was like oh okay that makes sense because mom and
Starting point is 00:09:00 dad are like very different from each other so I think that like I understand like the opposites attract thing like I don't think it's opposites I think it's like the person who is your balance because I like when I I don't know Mr. Liz and I are very different there's a lot of things that are different about us and but I don't feel like we're opposites I feel like he's like the balance of me yeah no you guys yeah I feel like you guys are similar in a lot of ways but that's also I think just like what you pick up when you like are around someone a lot like you just kind of like start speaking in your own language and shit but and you learn like when the other person's freaking out you need to be the anchor or like when you're freaking out they take the place of the anchor
Starting point is 00:09:47 it's just like I think that's how maybe like opposites could attract but I don't think like if you're two totally different people that like don't have anything in common I mean maybe that could work if you yeah but if you have two lifestyles that are completely different right I don't know I feel like when I was dating when I first started dating and like I had taken my like well not when I first started dating when I first started dating like seriously and I had like taken the psych 101 classes and shit but like you know like the how like people are attracted to each other and like how you know like i don't know just the science of being attracted to somebody that's like your opposite i took it so fucking literally i was like okay so i have to find
Starting point is 00:10:29 somebody who is the direct opposite of me and that's the only way that this is gonna work and that just is not they need to be miserable and hate having fun right like oh okay so like i'm like kind of an artistic person so like i have to find somebody like really sciencey and it's just like amelia that's just not a crypto bro yeah somebody that sells nfts i mean that's art is anyone selling nfts these days you know i think that guy that i dated that works for that nft video game company yeah i forgot about that i think there's they're like thriving but i don't know if it's like if nfts are still doing nfts i'm not sure i do you think this is a good opportunity to talk about the craigslist ad we came across my god please yes so last night mr liz came across
Starting point is 00:11:19 a craigslist ad and it is jay leno life-size doll 400 and i'm gonna read this description to you guys the unhinged have you heard about this that's how it starts have you heard about this I'm selling a life-sized, completely proportional, fully mobile doll in the likeness of Jay Leno, circa 1996. I've always been a big fan of Jay. As a Gen Xer, all my friends always thought he was lame, putting on Letterman or Conan instead during our late-night hang sessions. And hang is in quotation marks, so what does that mean? What were y'all doing? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:54 But what they didn't know is I had a tape at home recording Jay all night, every night. Sometimes I'd stay up till 3 a.m. just to watch Jay after getting home from our hang sessions. So I guess you could say I'm kind of a big fan. I have this doll custom made for me by Indigo, Silicon, and Latex out of San Francisco before the allegations made them close their doors in 2019, which the community is still reeling from. We also looked up this place. We can't find any trace of it. Well, I also searched Twitter because I feel like everything's on Twitter.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Well, anyways, the community is still reeling from their allegations. And I must know what the allegations are. uh and it's spelled silicon like silicon valley by the way yeah i don't know if that's a misspelling or if it's intentional okay but it comes with high quality design and feel of an indigo product and as you can see they did a really great job on the likeness it really looks like jay the back is ported for most standard insertables and the entire frame has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized using isopropyl alcohol and has been re-moisturized using factory oils it feels like new and looks like new but there is a single issue my dog a bull mastiff
Starting point is 00:13:04 named carly ate one of his feet unfortunately feet are a deal breaker for me so jay will have to go to a loving home who either likes the idea of jay with one foot or is okay with keeping his shoes on at all times paid 6k asking 400 crazy deal for the right jay lover it's marked as in fair condition and um cryptocurrency is okay and delivery is available it's just the most bizarre so mr liz sent this to like the group chat with me i told him too i was like you need to send this to the broly our chat yeah with frank in there too and i was like we sent it to like everyone we know is this a sex thing like it is i think it's a sex doll insertables six thousand dollars so okay so i for some reason that actually sounds too cheap to me a life-size realistic
Starting point is 00:13:56 sex doll of jay leno six thousand dollars seems like a deal is that a deal maybe i'm just like not hip with the sex doll industry yeah i guess i don't know how much a sex doll costs it just seems like that's a lot of work well and then it's it says make slash manufacturer indigo snl and we look that up and there's nothing there so but we think it might not be real but it would be really funny if it was i hope it is miserable has emailed them and he asked for pictures of the feet did he hear back no i want to know the legitimacy of this it's that is one of the crazier things i've ever read i sent it to my brother and i said we're sharing this craigslist craigslist ad with everyone we know and he said i'm going to start saying have you heard about this before saying
Starting point is 00:14:42 something they definitely haven't heard about that's what I was thinking that's a good bit have you heard about this yeah like it's preceded by the most like fucking insane thing you've ever read life-size Jay Leno sex doll it's so perplexing but you know what people like what they like good for good for this person yeah I for some reason I feel like it's a man that wrote this do you feel the same i feel like it was like a teenage kid and his friends well like it's a fake posting yeah well yeah i definitely think it's fake because i don't know liz this this shop doesn't even come up that's true i'm pulling this that's why i'm like it also doesn't look anything like jay leno i guess i don't really know what jay leno looks like this is i thought it looked enough
Starting point is 00:15:31 like him this is very scary not big enough there's a little tag on this picture too wow what a time this is so fucking funny have you heard i want to see the have you heard about this that's good that needs to be the name of this episode have you heard about this jay leno sex doll yeah life-size replica um crazy back to uh reading reddit questions um i have to shout out the dude that i saw so i hooked up with this guy in college in the laundry room freshman year yeah and funny enough um the dude that walked in on us hooking up was my future boyfriend's friend my college boyfriend like his like best friend in college was the one that walked in on us small little world on you no we didn't know each other at that point he was just
Starting point is 00:16:23 okay oh he like oh what were you doing i'm sure you've told the story on the podcast but tell us again i don't think i have told the story in the pocket we were shit yeah we were like amelia lore that has been unheard i don't know maybe i have talked about it because this was one of the crazier moments so there's this guy who he we like followed each other on facebook or we like friended each other on facebook before uh freshman year so like we knew each other going in and um sorry the way that you do before you move in right of course well we had this like um group there's like a yeah a page for like the dorm you're moving into exactly that's how I met him and I thought he was hot and so like we just kind of like we're casual friends and then uh
Starting point is 00:17:08 the first time we really hung out we ended up hooking up in the laundry room he like came with me to like help with laundry and we just like did everything but sex um okay butt sex that was my question um and by hook up what do you mean yeah yeah yeah so we were doing because it like it is kind of vague you know yeah it is you know it could just be like kissing some people they say hooking up and it's just like a like a light i'm trying i think in college that's what we would say yeah that's still what i said we did we we had a period where we would say mac Like, did you guys Mac? No fucking way. That's so like British. It meant making out. Were you Mac-ing? Were you Mac? That's so funny. No, I don't think we ever said anything like that.
Starting point is 00:17:56 We, yeah. So we were hooking up in this laundry room and I was a virgin at the time. And I was like, it was like progressing to sex. And so I told him, I was like, you want to know something funny? I've never had sex. It's exactly how I said it. And I don't want it right now. And he was like, okay and like it just kind of like flatlined from there you should have been like are you gonna take my virginity in this laundry room like just whisper it in his ear but then it just kind of died out after that and then like my ex's friend walked in and it was just like a whole thing so then he just like kind of cold shouldered me after that and months later I was dating my college boyfriend and I was talking to this guy that I made out with in the laundry room and
Starting point is 00:18:43 I was like why did you just kind of like disappear he was like honestly you just like seem kind of dumb what the fuck is that insane thing to say and so I bitched him out and then I told my college boyfriend about it and he was like sympathizing with him he was like you said some pretty mean things to him I was like he called me dumb also what did you say to him I don't remember I was just like it was it was probably words it was probably shit that I just like thought was such serve at the time that just like wasn't I would I would have loved to hear an Amelia insult but also okay like that time period I feel like men were still really fucking stupid yes I feel like they didn't become like I feel like now even with how many incels are running around I don't know
Starting point is 00:19:30 like college kids are pretty funny yeah that's so true they're not they're not as like I don't know dumb douchebags yeah you're so right yeah no it was they seem a little bit more like i think maybe it's because they grew up with the internet in a way that we did not yeah and the internet was still pretty dumb when we were in college they missed like such a key part of socializing with the pandemic so it's interesting to see like how they interact with each other now yeah it'll be really interesting to watch like pandemic kids you know what i just realized which made me feel so fucking stupid um gen z was called they were called zoomers because they were going to school on zoom oh i thought it was like a play on z that's what i thought too because like boomers
Starting point is 00:20:17 yeah and zoomers i think it was like kind of both i i thought it was yeah like boomers but like they were on they went to they were going to school on zoom it makes so much sense because that's when that terminology came out that's insane during the pandemic everybody was obsessed with gen z you just blew my mind with that thank you i think you probably blew some other people's minds because 100 of this podcast did not know then it won't just be me it definitely wasn't just you i'm actually also going to ask frank about that um also it's another one of those things where i could have made it up but it made a lot of sense because i was reading a newsletter and the newsletter was like zoomers blah blah blah going to school on zoom and i was like i think you're
Starting point is 00:21:01 right like i feel like i vaguely heard that that was the reason yeah and it just happened to work out because they're gen z yeah damn okay well shit anyway back to my laundry i'm just like wow there are people who are so much more clever than i am oh yeah back to the lawn back to laundry boy I don't think anyone's more clever than you because so back to laundry boy girl what we're in love yeah I mean obviously uh so I got off my airplane so I just flew back from Florida two days ago and got off my airplane and he was there sitting at the gate with his beautiful wife and he was wearing an all white fit and hiking sandals and socks and I was like who the fuck seems fucking stupid now I also like why would you wear that on an airplane yeah I know that's
Starting point is 00:21:51 what I was thinking too an all white outfit on the airplane is a choice maybe he was feeling bold because they didn't have their child with them and he was like nobody's gonna like puke on me or spill anything on me so I'm wearing my all white fit he was like I'm coming back from Florida bitch yeah yeah I think he was going to Florida anyway to Florida I watched him double take me and my peripherals and I was like and then I saw myself in the mirror and I was like not quite the serve that I thought that I was serving at the time I still I it would have been funny if he flipped him off it would have been staring at you and you were like what's up bitch I do remember you no it was you know we were young but it was he did look stupid so it did
Starting point is 00:22:28 feel um poetic nice outfit bitch okay anyway okay let's go back to reddit we have taken so many diversions that's okay that's what this podcast is there's no rules we make them up we also have some emails but that's we do yeah we have a couple but i'll pull those up while you pull up um oh i have some exciting news what do you know i wanted to tell you in person it's exciting for mr liz he had a jujitsu competition this week he came in second for the first round where it's it's the gi round he came in second in his division and then there was a no-gi round and he came in first shut the fuck up yeah i was so excited for him that's so exciting tell him i say mazel actually i'm gonna text the group chat later and say mazel yeah because frank
Starting point is 00:23:17 will also be very excited to hear that is very exciting news this is this one was posted a few days ago ask women over 30 how do you respond when someone says you should dress your age and i'm gonna read this one i just turned 30 and this is the first time i heard someone say this about me I wore a black lace corset top with straight cut trousers for my birthday dinner with friends at a high end bar. I don't know what I don't think what I wore was scandalous or obscene in any way. I'm quite small chested, but the corset top helped lift my girls up that it looked like I have a C cup. I thought I looked appropriately hot for a night out. Also, like, yeah, it's your birthday.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Yeah. My friends bought birthday cake for me and we ended up taking too many pictures of me, us and the cake. there was a group of college girls next to our table i knew they were in college because they were talking about their classes one of them wished me happy birthday and said asked me how old i was i said i just turned 30 they all said i look great and again wished me happy birthday side note it is so fucking annoying when you're like i'm 30 something and people are like you look great for your age yeah i'm like do you actually know how old like being in your 30s is nobody says that to men no yeah that is such a good point no one's going up to men and saying
Starting point is 00:24:37 you look great for your age yeah that like I think we all appropriately look like the age we are yeah like what does a 30 year old look like I was told that uh last week that you look great for your age yeah by a 24 year old who was hitting on me okay see that's the I feel like boys in their 20s because remember when you're standing in line like the first weekend that the bars were open after the pandemic and yeah yeah yeah it was like a group of boys in their like early 20s that said that too it's it just feels like they think that it's like such a compliment even 30 we were 20 like i was 28 what 28 29 yeah fucking fucking ridiculous but i do think that they think that it's a compliment and it's like i guess it's a backhanded compliment and you know what maybe
Starting point is 00:25:25 this is mean but maybe it's because men are ugly yeah for the most part you might be onto something you know yesterday i asked mr eliz i was like what's it like dating a woman who hates men he's like it's really funny yeah so at least he enjoys it that is that's it's being a man that is dating a woman that hates men is such a fucking serve yeah you're a unicorn yeah you did it you really did you you beat the final boss they they've accomplished what republican men have been trying to do their entire lives yeah and never will which is understand have sex the divine feminine oh yeah what you said okay let me finish this i went to i went to the bathroom to pee after dinner while in the stall a group of girls came into the bathroom
Starting point is 00:26:15 came into the bathroom and started talking about some trashy birthday bitch with lingerie how did i know it was the same college girls group i recognized the girl's voice the one who wished me happy birthday first i recognize voices easily given that i'm a classical pianist and have perfect pitch or just my autism in play i also think it's not that hard to be like i recognize their voices yeah some people have distinctive voices yeah um uh it was the definition of catty and childish they trash talked me and said i looked like a slut and i should have dressed my age i wasn't upset i was more sad that these are coming from that these are coming from a young woman uh when i came out they all looked surprised and fell
Starting point is 00:27:00 silent i smiled at them washed my hands told them to enjoy the night and left i couldn't find it in me to be bothered or even confront or address their insults if someone has told you to dress your age what would you have done i mean that doesn't that feels like so much it's so past dress your age you know what i mean that's like not really what the sentiment was no like she should be dressing her age she's 30 and she looked like a slut yeah like okay okay virgins yeah like for i also think it's fucking weird that like i don't know like i can't imagine being in my 20s and then like saying happy birthday to someone and then like going to talk shit about them with my friends yeah it feels like middle school behavior yeah i would not even think about
Starting point is 00:27:49 it yeah like i don't know yeah what a waste of time what and energy like it is it is really petty and mean girl behavior and i like i also don't think that maybe it's just me but i don't really feel like that's common you know i would hope not it does feel very middle school high school it feels like shit that you only hear happening like in movies too like early 2000s movies yeah yeah but like i don't know like there are some people that are just so fucking miserable then like the only way that they feel like they can bond with their friends is by like being mean about everybody around them i think i would i think i would have come out of the stall and been like are you 15 yeah what the fuck i honestly i and then flashed a tit and left
Starting point is 00:28:33 i believe that only after washing my hands yeah of course because you're in your 30s and you know good hygiene um you want to see a slut i'll fucking show you a slut i i believe that you would confront them i don't think that i could like i i do wonder what i would say I would probably come out and just be like oh and make them feel sad about what they did rather than like fuck you you fucking bitches especially if like if you look good and you know you look good yeah I think I I don't know I think I would kind of I would either say like are you 12 years old like yeah why are you behaving like this find something to pick apart like in all their outfits yeah just like your shoes are super last season yeah yeah go like full full like firing squad on
Starting point is 00:29:25 them but truly like that's something only a very insecure person would do yeah you know what I would do actually realistically I'm putting myself mentally in this situation I would go back to the table with my friends which would probably not probably you would be there and Frank would be there and both of you guys would double team this group of girls and yeah I'd get I had to ask the bartender do you have any tomatoes i can throw at them yeah i feel like i just i have my attack squad i don't really like need to do the work you know what i mean you guys would take them down i don't know there are so many different routes you could go yeah maybe i would pay for their entire tab to just be like i have money because i'm in my 30s do that yeah yeah you're welcome
Starting point is 00:30:06 bitches i don't know just the the type of woman that calls another woman a slut is it's pretty sad yeah just say that you don't get any attention from men or just call them loser virgins yeah honestly that would also be my answer yeah you're a virgin who can't drive yeah so fucking good old school clueless but yeah i don't know if i would i don't know how i would like the the original question of like what would your reaction yeah would you or like what do you say to people who say you should dress your age I just like don't really understand why people feel the need to have an opinion about shit that doesn't affect them in any way yeah you know it's one thing to have an opinion it's another thing to force that shove that opinion down
Starting point is 00:30:53 someone's throat you know what I mean like who gives it's not it's not affecting you in any way how anybody dresses unless it's like a kink thing and it's like being paraded around without your consent that's one thing but like if it's just like like a 50 year old woman in a bikini because that feels like it's like kind of the conversation a lot of the time is like what like women like past 40 like what they should be allowed to wear who gives a fuck I'm thinking now about celebrities too anytime a picture of a woman is posted everyone think it thinks it's like an open invitation to just comment on her body yeah it is bizarre yeah like I remember seeing this picture of Margot Robbie who like eight months pregnant or something and she was like swimming with her husband and the
Starting point is 00:31:46 comments are like they're either like she looks beautiful or like she shouldn't be wearing a bikini while she's pregnant I'm like this woman's on vacation and you don't know her yeah I think it is so bizarre when people like people are fucking weird about celebrities and they're only getting weirder absolutely I have to say it people are weird as fuck about the the hockey boys what's that show?
Starting point is 00:32:11 heated rivalry yeah people are weird as fuck about them I'm like you don't know them yeah you don't know these people no and specifically I was I had seen like a conversation that was like what's the other
Starting point is 00:32:26 one there's Connor Story and Hudson Williams okay yeah they were like they're like you don't need to acknowledge hudson williams he keeps getting in the way of like connor story and the other francois yeah yeah and i'm like you you don't know these people wait getting in the way how like of their relationship they think that they're dating there's like a theory that they're dating hudson williams has a long-term girlfriend no no no connor story and i know but like why do they think that like hudson williams is getting in the way i don't know it's so stupid i have no way exactly i'm like you guys are like delusional
Starting point is 00:33:03 you know and you really need to go outside it feels like escapism but it's it's really it's exhausting i i understand the desire for escapism right now because everything is just like getting stupider and stupider and like yeah this entire administration is just like made up of shit posting incels and you're like how is this real life right now yeah like but for me me wanting to like distract myself is not by being like i know these celebrities and they're my friends right it's like yeah uh i'm going to uh lock all of my apps and leave my phone at home while i go on a walk wait speaking of like this like what's it what's the word um when people think that they're friends with like with celebrities oh uh starts with a p parasocial
Starting point is 00:33:59 parasocial yeah so okay speaking sorry it's the end of the day for us you guys it's really also my brain is fried yeah you know anything about my work week yeah you have had a crazy last two weeks but yeah this week is also busy but at least it's like contained yeah i dude i have no idea how you're still upright but what i was gonna say speaking of parasocial relationships is we haven't talked about this jim carrey clone thing that's been going on yeah that's another thing that i was like fucking insane you don't know these people have you seen how heather shaw has been being dragged into all of this no wait who's that heather shaw the comedian that um i have the same man yeah who yeah looks like yeah no people were like no that's heather shaw
Starting point is 00:34:45 like that is heather shaw and heather shaw had to like make a video and be like i'm at the airport right now in a totally different city like y'all are out of your fucking mind well and then there's that um i think he's like a makeup artist or something and he like yeah and he does like yeah he's a drag queen okay okay well he posted a photo that was like a jim carrey mask and like the eiffel tower is in the background and he's like it was actually me and i'm sure his follower knew that he was joking yeah like the fucking normies and chuds on the internet don't know that and they're like and the picture is so obviously yeah yeah and someone was like i remember someone being like oh i'm gonna die in the ai wars aren't i it's really it was it's so
Starting point is 00:35:37 fucking crazy watching the takes like people are like no this isn't him because like he hates award shows and it's like okay sure but this is like a french like lifetime achievement award that he's getting like it's a little different from like it doesn't look like him it does you you also don't even know why like yeah we don't know if like even if he had plastic surgery that i mean that it does make me sad when people are getting like crazy plastic surgery done yeah um and it also makes me sad when everyone's like they look amazing yeah because you're like they do but also we shouldn't be doing this yeah um but also like i don't know what if he's sick and he like needed to take steroids like he might have moon face he very clearly got like an upper bleph
Starting point is 00:36:21 which like people need to stop getting their eyelids removed yeah he looks a little scary well here's what i think i think they're getting upper bleph when what they actually want is an eyebrow lift yeah but the upper bluff is having a it's having a moment i would say it's the new lip filler when you change your eyes you look entirely different you looking at your eyes is how you identify with yourself yeah like when you look in the mirror so a lot of people will like i was reading on um i don't know what subreddit what it was but people were talking about like uh how people regret getting that because like they don't recognize themselves anymore so sad and it makes you depressed yeah of course you're like who is that person you're like a body
Starting point is 00:37:07 dysmorphia yeah like there's that's really sad so anyway jim carrey's he's not cloned y'all that doesn't that's not something that they do and if it was why would it be jim carrey this person who like nobody has really heard from in a while yeah have you heard the crazy rumors that he has like a secret affair with ariana grande no but like well because she loves jim carrey yeah and she loves eternal sunshine of the spotless mind yeah but also i don't know i think that's weird yeah that's like again you don't know these people just write fan fiction about it and like yeah move on just write fan fiction about it in like a fun unserious way and where it doesn't control your life yeah they're just it's it's also fascinating how
Starting point is 00:37:57 many people have parasocial relationships that are this intense yeah like it's a lot yeah it's a lot that they have these fan bases online like arguing and for them and making up these crazy like fan theories well like i mean the also but like the mental health crisis too in this country is so fucking crazy did you hear about the woman that shot at rihanna's house no oh I don't know what's going on these days I guess I so she like shot at her house with like an assault rifle basically is like the story and like everyone's fine whatever they like apprehended her but they like did a search of her internet history and she has like dozens and dozens of videos going back of her just like talking nonsense about how like Rihanna's trying to like
Starting point is 00:38:45 kill her and like she like has been like giving her all of these like signs over the years that like she has all these like plans for ruining her life and that's like yeah that's psychosis it's scary but those are the people I'm not saying that everybody with a parasocial relationship has is in psychosis obviously I'm not saying that but like it is scary to think like that some of these people that think that they actually know what's going on with people are so deep in this headspace of and then now with chat gpt to affirming all of their beliefs it just feels like it's going to keep getting worse and worse it's so scary did you see the video of the guy that was the mosquito versus all ai um no so he like asked chat gpt you know like the trolley problem like
Starting point is 00:39:36 yeah yeah yeah so he asked would you save he asked chat gpt would you save a mosquito or would you save all of ai and chat gpt was like i'd save all of ai because like it's just a mosquito and the person was like okay but does that mean that you value ai over a life like what if it was 200 mosquitoes and chat gpt wrote back and was like honestly like if it was like 200 humans like i would probably still save the ai and like they're like you know what i'll do one better yeah 200 humans let's fuck them up this but i'd take all you bitches out it's fucking crazy like these it is so it's taking on a life of its own in a way that is just like i don't know it's it's getting not to go like too i don't know too down an ai hole i think that like people are like
Starting point is 00:40:27 going crazy about ai and they're like ai is going to kill us all but uh the the it's mostly like tech bros that are like ai is going to like gain sentience and kill us because that's all they can imagine yeah it like there's there's no new ideas like they can't imagine a world where like ai is doing something good right that's why it's like making fucking porn now yeah sort of like that's so true actually doing cancer research and just a reminder open ai started out as a non-profit it yeah and now it's just another fucking tech company yeah do you know what's happening with anthropic in the government yes crazy shit yeah i'm like who would have known anthropic would be the company that's standing up to the government right now it's like it's such good pr for them
Starting point is 00:41:18 actually we don't think it's a good idea to let ai just kill people without any human intervention like the fact that that's controversial right why is that contentious i'm trying to i had a really interesting conversation today because we had like an ai like sharing sesh with just like a few of us today um at work and what is an ai sharing sesh so our company is like so deep and like everybody has to know how to use ai or we're going to lay you off that's because they're like we paid 50 million dollars to this company for a business license well and you all need to make it worth our money so that's what I was under the impression of but I had this conversation with this guy who's like two levels below me so he's like pretty green and it was really interesting talking to him about
Starting point is 00:42:08 it and he was like well if you think about it like if you learned how to code in the 90s you're like a billionaire now and like if you learn how to use AI really well and like to your like the best of your abilities early on like it's going to just like stack your deck with like skills that maybe some people are going to be left behind not knowing because they're like refusing to learn about it and I just like I hadn't really considered that I'm like oh this is kind
Starting point is 00:42:37 of just like the new technology and whether we like it or not but like if you're using AI to vibe code like you're not going to actually know how to code you're not going to know how to fix a problem so now we're going to have all of these apps with major security risks because they were
Starting point is 00:42:53 written by 22 year olds vibe coding yeah no I think that there's definitely a fine line it's just yeah I think that there's gonna be a circumstance or not a circumstance there's gonna be a point where all of the things that like are useless are strained out yeah of usage but then I'm like there right now there's just too much money tied up in it and these people are like they feel like they're owed something for how much money they've invested but yeah I don't know I'm pretty bitter about working in tech no yeah i get it i'm very disillusioned i just feel like i don't want to like drink the
Starting point is 00:43:32 kool-aid and also don't like i don't like the kool-aid is poisoned amelia it absolutely it absolutely don't drink it but like i do think that again like talking fine lines about this whole thing people like as a creator if you have any sort of indication that you've used ai even to ask a simple question people fucking come for your neck about it and it's like i hear you it's bad for the environment it's a little scary what's happening it's taking jobs from artists it's taking jobs from like photographers and artists like that but it like in the same breath like it's happening it's not going to stop happening it's like yeah you're just like it's it is just the way that technology is moving and i think that there's a responsible way to use it and it doesn't
Starting point is 00:44:22 need to be it's not like a cancel a cancelable like thing for me to like ask chat gbt a question you know what i mean like yeah well i i think the real issue is like i don't think it's people who are having to use it for work or like a couple things here and there but like people who are relying on it for being to be a therapist and like yes talking to it all day long like chat gpt is their company their friendship and their company have you seen the i i haven't watched the whole thing i only saw a clip of it it was a documentary about the do you remember the necklace friend it's like a little ai necklace oh my god i forgot about that yeah there was like a very sad clip of a woman talking to it and decorating it and like talking about like how this is her
Starting point is 00:45:13 only friend or something yeah it was it was pretty bleak and it was supposed to be like it was a documentary commissioned by the creator of the the friend necklace but like the truthfully like if you're out with this like ai device around your neck that's listening to every conversation you're having and the conversations happening around you people don't like that they don't want to be recorded yeah and um anyways all of this to say like that's a i think that's a problem and i also think like all of the ai slop yes like i i don't know i think majority of the usage is slop and that's the problem totally and like i don't know yeah it's not going to go away but i think it's going to downsize in a way that i don't know in a way that
Starting point is 00:46:11 it needs to yes it is such because it's not effective for everything and people don't like if i'm on pinterest i don't want to fucking see anything made by ai you know i want to see shit that real people are making that's like etsy it's the same thing with etsy i it's so fucking clear and it's going to be less and less clear as time goes on like what is it like when i'm buying crochet patterns on etsy because i want to buy them from artists yeah it's but it's like there it's so clearly what like it's so clear when they use an ai image for something and then luckily the reviews are like hey so like this pattern isn't anything like the picture that's clearly ai like don't buy this so it's like you know you can do your due diligence but like there are going
Starting point is 00:46:48 to be still fucking sucks it's sad it's really sad but before we go on to one more reddit thing i just want to say that i'm sick of everything being terribly bad i'm sick of ai making shit yep I just it shouldn't be so hard to like want like quality things I agree like affordable things that don't fall apart and aren't gonna like end up in a landfill and consume art that's made by people and not by some fucking shitty AI thing AI doesn't have taste at the end of the day and you can always tell when something's written by ai and i know i like i can read it right away like i can see it right away because majority of my job like takes place on linkedin so i if you're like who's reading this it's me and it's because i have to yeah like you can always tell when it's
Starting point is 00:47:44 written by ai because there will be a line that's like the result oh my god or like talking in triplets yes oh my which i hate that because as a copywriter i like doing things in thirds yeah that is a common way of writing right and i've been using the m dash before chat gpt so now i can't use it anymore i know or it's like the thing that always points out i was like it's not blank it's blank that's the other oh my god i'm like girl just like delete that if you're gonna use ai just like remove those the thing that drives me nuts is people are like well how do i get more followers i'm like you need to write your own shit yeah people it's so transparent people can sniff that shit out it's from a mile away now yeah uh whatever anyways i hate everything oh
Starting point is 00:48:34 this is a perfect note to end on update he was using ai um this is an update from a previous post and i don't know what the original post is but the update was interesting he was asking me deep thoughtful questions and offering thoughtful responses it was 100 all ai now excuse me while i take a full body scrub worst day of my life and then they added an edit so edit for people curious about more information over hinge he was asking me questions that were deep meaningful and interesting his responses to my questions were good and made me think he was intelligent and interesting but the replies often use similar phrases and hence why i posted before i suspected at least some ai giving him questions i met him today and he was an uneducated slumlord with a
Starting point is 00:49:21 where's my hug at personality he only wanted to talk about himself and his thoughts were as deep as a saucepan and as intelligent as a goldfish he also lied about his height the type of man who lies about his height is 100 the type of man i would expect to be using ai yeah generate all of his questions and answers that venn diagram is a full circle well i we talked about this too like the potential of like people just using ai yeah i mean that's yeah on dating apps and i'm sure they are all the time but also these dating apps are they have ai features now added in so when when i was your age we didn't have chad gpt yeah we had to work for our date literally when i was when i was in college i was there was a guy i was talking to and like uh it
Starting point is 00:50:08 like texting him was like fun and then when we would hang out in person I was like yeah this guy is not interesting come to find out like two years later it was his friend texting me the whole time what yeah he'd be like what do I say to this and then his friend would answer damn you were like dating his friend in a way literally Cyrano de Bergerac or whatever it's called what didn't read that in high school no uh Cyrano de Bergerac or whatever it's essentially it's kind of like Romeo and Juliet but like the man who's been writing all of these like poems and stuff for this woman he's in love with is secretly a different man or maybe he's wearing a mask I don't remember it's it's one of those yeah it's like it's who you're not talking to who you think
Starting point is 00:50:56 you think you're talking to damn the interesting the funny thing is is i had a crush on the guy who's texting me no way for his friend yeah yeah you were on to something you knew you liked his energy better he had a girlfriend oh so i was like oh that's not damn you guys are i mind my own business you might be swingers no oh this was this was a long time ago understood i'm i'm only interested in monogamy hell yeah girl stick to your guns thanks i will well shit are we we keep forgetting to say like what's our favorite thing of the week i know do you want to go first um my favorite thing this week um i got a really cool keychain and i would go get it but i'm plugged into my computer right now that's fair um it's this like so it's like a circle and there's like
Starting point is 00:51:51 little uh rings like connected to the circle and you can just like detach your key that's amazing i i'm not doing a very good job describing it but it's very cool i love a functional take on like it's super functional so like if i need to give mr liz my car key or if i need to give someone my key to check on the cats i could just pop it right off no more breaking my nails why didn't i think dealing with those stupid fucking rings these are the things that i'm like why the fuck didn't i invent that because it's so annoying to have i could get one for you it was on sale okay i'd been keeping an eye on it i saw it i saw it at like one of the little shops in my neighborhood and i was like this is really cool i've been wanting to do a keychain makeover
Starting point is 00:52:35 which is kind of stupid but i don't know i just want a cute little keychain that yeah isn't clunky and full of crap that i don't use right i know i feel like i feel like a janitor i have so i don't know how I got all of the random keychains on my yeah it just happens over time I was like noted yeah I'm gonna explore my options and then I couldn't stop thinking about it so I went back and it was on sale hell yeah it was like half the price fuck yeah I love when that happens I'll tomorrow I'll go see if it's if they still have them let me know thank you I love I'll also send you a picture to see if you actually want it yeah do that because I I do I am in the I'm in the business of trying to figure out how to make my keys less how they are crazy yeah yeah um what
Starting point is 00:53:24 am i obsessed what am i what am i worshiping this week um i got to hang out with my parents dog for a full week and i'm obsessed with him love that because he's a puppy he's a puppy but he's so fucking smart what's his name again pippin then i'm making it i'm making his dog tag right now making it out of resin i i thought i thought he had a uh a food name was that an option because didn't you say like what should my parents name their dog yeah it was between pippin ganky which is a japanese word um i wanted to name him uh chico because my mom calls me chica bella and i thought that chico would be cute but that didn't stick sometimes i still call him well he's chico and i'm chica yeah hello i'm trying to remember what the third name maybe
Starting point is 00:54:14 there was a food name involved but i'm just like mochi or maybe i'm oh bento bento yeah cute too yeah i really love bento i think bento actually won the vote but i was i was in pippin in high school and it's like my my parents like pride and joy was that i was the lead in pippin so they named him Pippin it's really cute that's so precious yeah they're the best but he is such a good dog he's a puppy so he's a little mouthy but I love him and I'm obsessed with him cute so that's my answer that's a good one I'm sure that that's a big shock that I'm huh that my obsession is a dog anyway um would you like to sing us out how about you sing us out okay we love you our children
Starting point is 00:55:04 thank you so much gatsby's right next to me hi geetsbert you can't hear hi geetsy oh i love oh my goodness gracious can you hear him yes of course i can hear him he's right behind me can you tell him that i love him emilia says she loves you he knows he knows it was from me i love you greeps anyway all right bye okay love you bye
