Starting point is 00:00:00 are you on mute you're a little the little light is red on your microphone i am on mute now i'm not hey good catch thank you yes of course what if we went through the whole podcast i'd probably cry you can just hear you in the distance on my microphone we could just fill in my voice with the the charlie brown t-shirt yeah was that what you were thinking it was we're so aligned we could not see each other for like a week or two and still have the same one brain cell i was about to say one brain cell i wish i said it this is actually a perfect segue for my idea for today oh my god I don't know how long are we finishing each other's sandwiches yeah I don't know how
Starting point is 00:01:06 long this is going to take it might take 10 minutes it might take three hours so we can really just cut it off if it goes too long but hear me out okay have you ever watched the newlywed game uh kind of I've seen like clips of it right and you guess yeah like what your spouse or partner is gonna say yeah you have to like try to get to the same answer so liz and i are most likely getting yeah well marrying people other than each other yeah we've been married for yeah six years now we're like common law married right right but we are probably both getting engaged this year outside of again our this is our marriage you're definitely getting engaged this year so are you yeah mr liz and i are like well now that we're like yeah let's get married we're both like
Starting point is 00:02:01 now we gotta like make time to like design a ring and stuff yeah it's a lot of work there's so much shit that goes like when you care enough to like want to put work into it it's so much work yeah but i didn't realize how much work it was to even just do well it's a lot of work when you're communicative yeah which is good I had no idea how many like adult men are like adult men older than us I know that we're adults but like barely are so confused about the idea of designing a ring together and then getting proposed to really yeah they're like oh that's kind of untraditional I've heard that from multiple like a few men that I work with and my father oh my god I'm like what I'm not gonna wear a ring that I don't like yeah I'm hopefully gonna wear it for forever what do
Starting point is 00:02:44 was like do you want to be involved in the ring designing process like he wasn't sure if i wanted him to just like surprise me if i just give him some ideas and i was like well i would like to be i would like to pick what my ring will look like he's like oh thank god right i mean like i would never it is a lot of pressure oh yeah right i would never want to put that on frank just to be like all right here's a pinterest board i don't even know who he goes to open pinterest you know what i mean i mean he does he's a smart guy but still that's like a lot to like expect from someone yeah so anyway i was thinking what would be a good way for us to mark this momentous year oh and i have put together our version of the newlywed game i haven't looked at the questions
Starting point is 00:03:31 i had chat gpt i gave him a framework and made it right questions for each of us so that we were on equal playing fields okay there are 10 that are about you and there are 10 that are about me okay i think we should go back and forth like ask a question that is you and see if we both write the same thing okay and go to me i love this how do we feel about that i like that it's going to be a little complicated because we hold our microphones so we're going to be putting down our microphones a lot and pick them up what i think we should do is when when i ask the question we write our answer down hold it up to the camera okay and not and not to each other no we can show each other okay okay but then we can make this also like a visual medium i love that that's
Starting point is 00:04:14 that's such a cute idea thank you i'm glad that you like it yay i came up with it yesterday i was so excited but i had no time to actually dedicate i've like look i like cut little pieces of paper i i was wondering i was like are we gonna play pictionary i was going to pick out colors but you can pick your own color there's colors um like multiples of each but i'm definitely gonna pick green fuck yeah good choice thank you maybe purple okay are you ready for this i am i'm gonna give you half of this stack there are 40 pieces of paper in here jic okay if liz suddenly got canceled what would it be for okay are you ready yeah three two one we basically wrote the same thing I wrote threatening to kill a MAGA politician on
Starting point is 00:05:04 Twitter and I wrote talking about someone killing some billionaire the day before someone kills that billionaire that one's perfect we are we're on the same page we are one for one we are a hundred percent okay what would Amelia say is her biggest dating red flag oh a red flag about you yeah oh i thought you meant like someone oh that i would say is a red flag yeah okay your biggest red flag yeah oh i know i got it i'm so nervous you're writing so much i know ready miss andrews no okay this podcast i wrote splashing water everywhere when she washes her hands that too honestly amazed that it hasn't scared frank away yet you should have seen the kitchen today when I was cleaning the cat's water fountain you would have thought that Shamu was in my
Starting point is 00:05:59 kitchen you and Mr. Liz uh when he washes his face he makes a huge mess all over the sink and we call it a bird bath that's really funny that's the perfect way my parents just called me Shamu growing up I know I well I always think of that because I think it's so funny it is so funny without context it sounds so horribly mean why do they call you Shamu and I didn't realize it until one of our friends was like have you ever noticed how Amelia like the entire bathroom's wet when she washes her hands it's like a crazy thing that like everybody knows about me that I did not realize people were clocking that's kind of fun though it is fun I love that I like when I learn something about myself that I didn't know yeah well because you only you only know yourself from
Starting point is 00:06:39 your own like internal perspective you don't know what it's like to experience you yeah true do you ever get this is kind of like off topic do you ever get like i get bothered that knowing that i'm only gonna be me my entire life because like i'll never be able to experience what it's like to be a different person and like but you know i want to just like observe what they're what it's like to be them you know like from the inside you know i it's that's fair but i also think that there's something like uniquely exciting about just being yourself your whole life yeah i i mean I like that but I'm like do whatever you want you could like you can learn so many things like on your own like there's no there there's so much knowledge and so many things to experience
Starting point is 00:07:27 but you'll never experience being someone else you know what I mean yeah like you can do anything yeah you I mean technically you could do anything some of it's illegal but there are some things though i mean i'm not like a uniquely like like vast and interesting person like compared to anyone else you know what i mean but like there is something kind of nice to know that i'm i'm the only person that's ever gonna be me yeah you know i don't want everyone to know it also bothers me that i'm like never gonna know every single person yeah i wish i knew them in some capacity that's you know that's like a very like sweet thing to say looking past like i'll like be going on a walk and looking in someone's window not in a creepy way like i do want to be seeing
Starting point is 00:08:10 how some of you are living like how are you decorating yeah and your windows are open sorry i'm looking yeah you're on street level and your windows are open yeah and i just and then i i'm like oh i feel kind of sad that i like don't know these people yeah like they're they're living a whole life and I know nothing about it not in like a creepy way it's just like there are so many interesting people and they all have so many different like life experiences yeah I don't know you know what kind of fucks me up is like and there's a word for this I think in like French of we need more words in America yeah truly like but the experience of like realizing that somebody is having as vivid of an experience as you are like how I'm perceiving the world and like how
Starting point is 00:08:57 I have like a whole storyline and things that I do and things that I did this morning and like I was seeing it all through my perspective everybody else has yeah that's what freaks me out because I'm like I want to know I like sometimes I don't want to I'm I'm bored I'm sick of my life yeah I'm like I don't want to be in this narrative I want to it's like reading a book yeah if I'm like oh I'm bored of this book yeah I want to go read a new book but you can't right you can read a new book and like you also like you can't that book is already written but the good thing about being alive it's like you can write your own book you know yeah this feels like a like a jay shetty podcast that's why i'm like i gotta be doing more with my free will yeah
Starting point is 00:09:37 that's also why i sometimes get so frustrated at work because i'm like i don't give a shit about b2b sass yeah i really do not i don't think anybody really does no no one gives a fuck about even the people like at the top i think the people who like quote unquote give a fuck about b2b sass they don't actually give a fuck about like the product or the industry it's all like more about them doing their job yeah like they find validation you want to do a good job from doing their job yeah but like and some people just want money i mean like for so long i was advertising like enterprise software ebooks nobody is reading nobody gives a fuck about that no nobody's passionate about that no not even the people that are downloading the ebooks
Starting point is 00:10:23 like the 12 people that downloaded a month yeah nobody gives a fuck well and who's downloading them i know sometimes decision makers sometimes i'm downloading our own ebooks because i need to know what's in them so i can make a social media post about it right anyway and then i'm like this is boring as fuck how can i make it more interesting i mean like and then it's so obvious when some of it's like written by AI I'm like anytime it says the result I'm like fucking hate that
Starting point is 00:10:52 I hated that before AI started doing it I there are only some things that I hate that like people are like that's AI because as a copywriter they're just kind of things that you were already doing like em dashes yeah em dashes writing things in
Starting point is 00:11:09 threes like having fun with adjectives yeah I don't know like People are copywriters because they're good at writing. Right. Anyways, let's continue. Anyway. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:20 Where's my marker? We are back to Liz questions. Okay. What is the fastest way to make Liz lose attraction to someone? Ooh, this is a fun one. Yeah. Okay. Are you ready?
Starting point is 00:11:33 Yeah. I mean, they kind of go together. They do go together because I did think about that. I was like, yeah, being a Republican, I'd be all the way out. but i wrote wearing a stupid hat because there are some things that just give you the ick that you're like i can't unsee this yeah if you're wearing a bad hat including a maga hat right you're done i feel like all of my answers are going to like all my answers about you are like potentially going to be about republicans and capitalists probably i mean they are consuming
Starting point is 00:12:08 all of our lives in this moment yeah that's true okay so yeah wearing a stupid hat they could go together because there are a lot of stupid hats in the republican community i did consider that i did consider writing something like politically related the second answer that i was writing that i crumpled up and threw away was um and i don't know why i said this because i don't think you've ever said it but i was imagining you losing attraction to someone because they were wearing those like hiking sandals but like they weren't hiking yeah i think wearing something that is just like would you be like why are you wearing yeah you can't unsee it no it's really i remember the first time i got the ick from a guy i was in seventh grade and he was wearing new balances
Starting point is 00:12:50 and it was like when those like puffy skater shoes were like the hot thing and i was like he would have been so much hotter if he was wearing puffy skater shoes and i remember saying this to someone it was the first time i got the ick and we didn't have a word for it then okay what celebrity would Amelia absolutely fold for this is tough because I have a lot yeah I'm trying to think of like who would be the most relevant right now yeah when's the last time I like talked to you about like a celebrity I would fold for they're all like TikTok comedians we're gonna move on my answer was The Rock um but Liz couldn't think of an answer and that's fair because like we don't really talk about celebrity crushes anymore no well and also i feel like you have so many crushes yeah i really
Starting point is 00:13:35 do that it's hard to keep track on i really i really do frank has like a consistent set of crushes like casey musgraves if she showed up right now i would be tossed out like yesterday's you guys have like the same vibe happening though thank you you're welcome that's so nice and i think she would agree with that she's really cool i love casey musgraves too she can have my boyfriend if she wants him i wouldn't be mad you guys i mean i would be mad but i would be like i get it okay um what is amelia's biggest irrational fear biggest irrational fear i think all my fears are rational but let me think well irrational like it probably wouldn't happen yeah but like it feels like things that i'm scared of are all understandably scary you know what i mean it's
Starting point is 00:14:26 not like a sharknado like that would be an irrational fear yeah but like being buried alive is rational yeah well i'm thinking like frank leaving you yeah that's an irrational fear yeah that's we know that's never going to happen right i'm just curious what our answers are going to be for this yeah like it's i don't think either of us know but i think it'll be funny to see what we write well start naming start naming some of your your rational fears i'm afraid of the dark yeah hate the dark yeah um heights planes really oh my god every time a plane takes off i burst into tears are you serious yes i've gotten better about it because i've been flying alone a lot more recently but i'm realizing i've never traveled with you yeah no it's bad frank always has to
Starting point is 00:15:12 hold my hand besides like local places yeah no yeah and frank is afraid of flying too but he really pulls it together he like puts his game face on when we're flying because i'm i don't i don't have a good time i have a lot of nightmares that i died in a plane crash and my dad named me after amelia erhart and she fucking died in a plane crash so well i mean she probably didn't her plane went down she's not she's not a good omen for for flying okay you know what i mean something happened either she got eaten by crabs or her plane crashed i don't want either of those things maybe both okay you don't want crabs or to crash in a plane what even is an irrational fear like can you name a single irrational fear
Starting point is 00:15:59 i mean you said sharknado yeah and i'm not afraid of that good one uh an irrational fear frank what what would you say my like if i had an irrational fear what what would my irrational fear be? I have no clue. Maybe if I just Google irrational fears. Yeah, that's true. I hate being tickled. Yeah, I do have like a really big like water consumption OCD with the dog. just to see if she's thirsty yeah she'll like turn her head that is actually my rational fear is her being uncomfortable okay i love you that was a good that was a good uh that was a good answer yeah i'm just gonna
Starting point is 00:17:00 we're gonna move on to a different question because this is too difficult on from two i know but that's okay we'll find another one this is why chat gpt sucks i know and this is why you always read chat gpt's work yeah and i didn't want to do that so i didn't have an advantage and here we are um okay this is this is good this is good okay if if amelia committed a minor crime what would it be if you committed a minor crime and i have it okay ready one two three time i i put time theft what's that when you are at work but you're not like doing your job oh absolutely i mean i think that everyone should be committing time theft at work i have never heard that phrase i think everyone should be committing time theft because um every like
Starting point is 00:17:47 big business is committing wage theft oh yeah so fuck them fuck them um and then i wrote or party drugs that's good that is a minor crime because i have seen you we've done that together in fact yeah we've partook wait what did you write i was hitting a mailbox with my car and not leaving a note i didn't even know you did that no i didn't but i would do you know what i mean i didn't but i would like if i hit someone's mailbox and it fell over i i would just kind of be like fuck well that fucking sucks and i would feel bad about it for a rational fear what um an animal disliking you yeah but that would never happen so i'm not really afraid of it every animal loves you you know our friends like snow white our friend's dog did not like me her dog doesn't
Starting point is 00:18:32 seem like she likes a lot of people yeah she yeah she does feel picky yeah but it was the first time a dog like didn't want to get near me and i was like um what what do you know about me like am i like do i have dark energy you don't even know me yeah you don't even know me bitch if liz joined a cult what kind of cult would it be hmm i already know i also realized we have not been keeping score but i think we've only gotten one correct i think so yeah okay ready a witch cult mom donnie i wrote mom donnie that's a good one well i did almost write like uh i almost wrote something witchy yeah okay well you know what i need to go with my first instinct yeah i think that's what yeah i'm trying too hard that is a cult that we both belong in already i think
Starting point is 00:19:14 yeah we are already in it the things i would do for into that man he's my mayor yeah in my heart i love him so much um okay what hobby would amelia become alarmingly obsessed with overnight oh my god well you do have a lot of like adhd hobby i do i do and what's i i mean an alarming one yeah because right now I have two that I just started wait what's not a hobby Bellatro completely taking over my life I get it I understand the hype I wish that I didn't I should have never have started and second I just ordered a an adult learn how to um sew kit like hand stitching I was gonna say embroidery embroidery but one that I would be concerned about that I think you would you know that's a good twist yeah what's like a hobby I would be
Starting point is 00:20:09 concerned that i could see you i have an answer for that to me too we both we both go gambling i wrote online gambling yeah i mean i would go to a casino or do it online i think bellatro really got us there yeah but i also think you'd be good at it and that's why it would be it would be it would be a slippery slope i'm also the kind of person that i know that this is like how they how it works so i'm not unique but like i would get i would win a little bit of money and i would then end up losing all of my life savings you know what I mean yeah because I would be like well it worked once yeah and that's how they get you okay hey it's Ryan Reynolds here from Mint Mobile now I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited premium
Starting point is 00:20:52 wireless for $15 a month is back so I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills but it turns out that's very illegal uh so there goes my big idea for the commercial give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch upfront payment of 45 for three months 90 for six months or 180 dollars for 12 month plan required 15 per month equivalent taxes and fees extra initial plan term only greater than 50 gigabytes may slow when network is busy see terms we're actually zooming through these this is great okay if if liz became an influencer in a completely different niche what would it be what what is like completely different niche mean to you i think different like a niche different from this podcast okay because I would not consider myself an influencer
Starting point is 00:21:35 you influence me every day thank you yeah that means a lot to me I bought flat clips because of you I've also done a few things I've purchased a few things because of you you're an influencer thank you yeah thank you I do I do like to only purchase things that I truly believe are going to be somehow an improvement to my life yeah that's a good way to add our quality made i have started to do the same and it has actually shifted a lot for me yeah i spend so much less money yeah and it's gotten me so much better at getting rid of shit that i don't need you know good yeah i'd like to hear that really been i like trimmed down my closet this past weekend i could do more where where have you put the clothes that you're getting rid of they are still on the floor in my room
Starting point is 00:22:22 yeah i have a i have like two or three piles like that yeah and i'm like one day these will make it into my car and then they'll be in my car for like seven or eight months right you know the good thing about my dad coming to visit as his tradition he has to stay busy so he like gets me like out the door and like to goodwill you know that's good it's good so he's gonna be here in august what if we did a little trip together i like where we like they have a new drop-off area in seattle well i'm gonna try and sell some of my stuff first me too which is a lot of work that's why it takes so long yeah i'm on um what not depop what's the other one uh poshmark lots of work a lot of scams but i did sell one thing good for you thank you i sold a pair of uh pleather
Starting point is 00:23:05 leggings that's a big deal you should try depop i was gonna try depop but everything is so much more fairly priced on depop in a way that i don't feel good about like people are like are selling like they're like very expensive jeans for like 10 bucks i don't feel good about doing that because i spent a lot of money on them and then never wore them yeah you know what i mean yeah so that's um like the real real or something oh i've never heard of that i know there's another one like there's some there's somewhere you can do more like of a consignment thing oh okay so it's where you like sell it for what it's worth oh yeah shit i'll have to look that up yeah yeah okay i can't think of like what it would be called off the top of my head um
Starting point is 00:23:47 okay wait what i would be an influencer for yeah okay different from this podcast yeah ready yeah nice we said i wrote astrology i wrote the zodiac slash reading celebrities charts to determine the future oh you know how people were like trying to say like oh kamala is going to win the election because her chart is better but you would be actually good at it i think it would be fun well when we when i was thinking about this i was like what kind of astrology and then i was like thinking people sending me charts of men they're interested in and then i tell them if they're a good or bad guy yeah i love that that's a really good idea you should actually do that i don't i don't feel like i am like super there are people who know so much more about astrology than me
Starting point is 00:24:34 maybe they're just more confident than i am but also like so what you know what i mean because like you would like we don't know i'm in it for fun we also have had a sex and dating podcast for six years and we have been saying the whole time that we don't know what we're talking about that's but we still do it boldly so true i actually think most people don't know what they're talking about most of the time yeah that's fair to assume and the issue is that nobody admits it and everyone acts like they know the best so as long as you're leading with that who gives a fuck you know what so many rich people are only there because they believed in themselves and not because they were correct yeah that's true so you could be successful doing anything yeah so believe in yourself yeah
Starting point is 00:25:13 believe in yourself and if you do anything with enough confidence i'm president of the united states i feel like that's unfortunately sadly true yeah well sure with confidence but preferably if you were a celebrity and a white man yeah if you were a white male celebrity old ass but you would do so much better if you were all of those things and hot yeah mom donnie he's not white no but i'm a celebrity now listen we had obama that's true arguably the most attractive president he's such the hottest president jfk was pretty hot yeah but obama was hot in like energy jfk was hot in looks yeah obama was hot in energy and looks agreed yeah he just brought something like new and jazzy you know yeah i like that singing motown
Starting point is 00:26:07 like on a grand stage yeah in the middle of a speech he's funny he's hot we love him i thanks obama remember that i got a crush on obama do you remember that song no it was like a it was like a viral video like back in like 2011 that's funny i remember thinking it was the funniest shit ever and now looking back on that's not funny it's not funny at all those were the days of the internet it really was when you know buzzfeed was just getting started twitter was barely a thing dude buzzfeed it was still twitter yeah i feel like i really missed my opportunity to work for buzzfeed and then have a video that says why i left buzzfeed yeah and start my own youtube channel i could see you working for reductress
Starting point is 00:26:52 i could also see that for me i'm not as funny as i used to be though and it's because i've had to um work in b2b sass for too long yeah yeah anyways okay what's next what is something that amelia thinks people are pretending to enjoy oh i have a few answers but this was my my first gut reaction okay oh capitalism yeah well i think mag is pretending they enjoy it okay i said crossfit so we went two entirely different yeah nobody likes crossfit well you wrote so do they nobody like people still do crossfit yes there are so many crossfit gyms no none of you like it i know you don't i feel like the crossfit uh phase has simmered down a lot i think that people are are people were all
Starting point is 00:27:49 they were doing crossfit and the keto diet all at the same time yeah i also think that there's some shame associated with crossfit now that people aren't as like open about it online but there people are still doing it i still see people like groups out doing crossfit activities like out on a lawn on a nice day i'm like you that you look like you're in pain and also long distance running nobody likes that no y'all are shitting your pants and you're like hell yeah let's fucking go wait they are yeah some of them shit their pants no no thanks like what do you mean anyway okay moving along i could go on about this for forever also no i'm not i almost wrote country music yeah but i do think i think people really like country yeah i was like no people love
Starting point is 00:28:32 morgan wallen yeah unfortunately and kelsey ballerini oh i do love kelsey ballerini and casey musgraves um okay what does liz complain about the most in private in private bitch i'm publicly complaining all of the time i have a podcast to do that but let me think well well there are some things that i i wonder if we're thinking about the same thing yeah i think we are should we say it i think we're thinking two things i'm thinking one thing i'm gonna write down oh okay okay ready is this fun or is this dumb i think this is fun okay i'm having fun too okay almost shitting my pants all the time that's such a funny fucking answer that's so funny i wrote our friends shitty boyfriends that's true by name yeah i feel
Starting point is 00:29:22 like sometimes you allude on the podcast about them i do if if one of our friends is dating someone who or like has maybe recently stopped seeing someone who sucks i'll throw a little shade in there yeah they they won't hear it no and i don't think our friend will hear it and i don't think the guy will hear it but i hope the guy hears it but i want them to know if they ever listen i'm coming for you yeah i i love to hate a man that sucks yes like if you're mean to one of my friends it's fucking over for you it's over yeah and i can't wait until you break up so i can drag you publicly yeah but not by name that's for in private yeah okay if amelia had to run away and start a totally different life what would she be doing oh i already i instantly have an answer
Starting point is 00:30:16 where did my pen go at first i wrote knitting and i was like she already is knitting oh all day okay yeah holy shit yeah i wrote animal sanctuary commune because ideally you'd have you'd just be with a group of people that i love yeah i wrote run a special needs animal sanctuary in a remote town that's so fun wow we're so cute okay we've gotten two right so far no we've gotten i think we've gotten a several right even if they're not verbatim we've gotten animal sanctuary astrology yeah yeah yeah oh are you keeping the oh never mind um gambling yeah oh you're right okay i'm not giving us enough credit uh it's wearing a stupid hat almost you know there's there's a venn diagram there yeah yeah it's almost a circle the first one was also on point
Starting point is 00:31:10 yeah okay good okay i'm not giving us enough credit okay let's do like one each left one more yeah and then we have an email oh yeah oh there are two here I'm gonna I'm gonna we're gonna do two more for you oh my god okay what's the most Liz text she would send I put stream of consciousness while high okay that's kind of wrote I wrote a series of texts all very deep and introspective followed by some curveball bullshit that's true it's it is well I'm not always high when I'm doing that that's true that's true but it is the same kind of flavor when i am high liz will send me the most like deep like like i don't want to like introspective shit that just like is so like like heady and then you'll just send me something like did you see the pants that marjorie taylor
Starting point is 00:31:59 green was wearing today like something like just like totally out of left field that is what i would do yeah and i'm just like what slash what i do already yeah and i love it about you thank you okay I'm gonna I'm gonna just do your questions I'm trying to remember what specifically I had texted you like because I had texted you multiple times and then you were like oh my god this is the most Liz like group of texts I've ever received I remember that so clearly and it was I read it to Frank and he was like oh he called them mad mad Liz's instead of mad libs wait I'm gonna look it up i had texted you don't look this up if you had to guess how tall do you think charlie kirk was and you said 5 11 no wait 6 3 and i said 6 5 blew my mind and then you said jesus and i said
Starting point is 00:32:47 i for sure thought he was average utmost he gives 5 9 max vibes how could such a tall man have such short bitch energy doesn't he know tall white men don't have to talk they're just given whatever they want then i said and erica kirk is five eight anyways i looked all this up because i was watching this twitter ai slop and i was like why do they have him towering over obama isn't obama pretty tall there's no way he's taller than obama and then i said why aren't boy baristas called baristos yep that's that's exactly it he said this is the most liz ball series of texts imaginable it really was i said as i was typing the barista one i i was like these texts are going to sound like another mad lib and they did they did it's the best thing ever whenever i see that
Starting point is 00:33:34 i have like eight missed texts from you i'm like none of these are gonna i know these are all none of these are gonna go together right yeah and it's the best it's always like a little like little surprise well yeah i mean the the charlie kirk one really did blow my mind anyways that is crazy okay the last liz question and then we have one amelia question okay love that what fictional man is liz's toxic type are you gonna know the name i mean oh i know what you're gonna write yeah i think i know what you're gonna write okay i'm gonna write one for you and then i'm gonna write one for my what your romantic girlies okay okay kylo ren that's what i wrote and then i wrote zayden royerson for the romanticy girls um i'm with an ex yeah i'm gonna zayden royerson cutie
Starting point is 00:34:22 we're gonna name our kids zayden with an ex uh well funny you should mention that because um i am part of the romanticy circle jerk subreddit and they just post the funniest shit in there and someone posted oh and it's a screenshot from a facebook group for this series it's the dragon series um and they named their it was their baby's room that they had like prepared and they're like we're naming our son royerson and it was like dragon themed and she was like my husband and i both have read the books and we like loved the name royerson and so then the post on reddit was like oh that's the ugliest name i think i've ever heard royerson royerson that is a last name yeah spelled that way too fake yeah r-o-i-r-s-o-n so stupid zayden ryerson zaddy
Starting point is 00:35:17 okay my final question if amelia got banned from somewhere where would it be the place i'm thinking of is a digital third space what tiktok oh i have been banned from tiktok oh i have one are we thinking of a real life place that you would be banned from okay oh yeah she wrote a cat cafe i wrote michael's that's your answer is correct i think a cat cafe is funny because you just love them too much yeah they would be like you you've been here for too long yeah yeah are they getting enough water yeah water you know cats don't drink a lot of water i know are you giving them wet food goose you should put some water in the wet food the more you know put hydrolyzed water in there i think that i would just not i would they would have to kick
Starting point is 00:36:09 me out because i would just be there for too long like i put michaels because they'd be like ma'am you've bought too you've bought all the yarn yeah we're gonna have to ask you to leave actually clean this out we've run out of crafts i could just walk around michaels for like two hours though and i think that's why i could walk around michaels for two hours because some of the shit is organized in a way where you're like why is this here which one do you go to the only one that's close oh is there only one that's close yeah oh that's so disappointing i know i love going to different michaels i'm so disappointed joanne's closed i know it was so close to me an institution anyway thanks for playing that walking distance craft store it doesn't get any better
Starting point is 00:36:49 than that this was fun i'm so glad you liked it also i i just love that how many we got right i know look at us we're so cute we are cute i we should play it with uh frank and mr liz that would be a lot of fun we still have to do a broly hour episode yeah oh yeah we're the two of them i i was like did we have them do that we didn't no we didn't but we need to let's come up with the structure maybe for our because our six-year anniversary is coming up that's crazy in like two weeks that's insane i know so maybe they should do that for our six-year anniversary yeah yeah it'd be fun yeah yeah okay moving along um this email i have not read this yet it is the um the subject line is girlhood in adulthood from a former pick me which is an
Starting point is 00:37:36 interesting wait repeat that girlhood in adulthood from a former pick me oh hey girlies sorry if i'm a bit late to add to the girlhood discussion never too late no we'll talk about girlhood girlhood is forever yeah um i'm not fully updated with podcast episodes that's okay we have a lot but i wanted to share how now at 28 i experienced girlhood as a reformed pick me aren't we all i apologize in advance if the email is too long and if it is not useful for you guys right now please feel free to skip i wrote just in case um i'm scrolling this email is not long at all and it is so typical woman to apologize for being too we always get those yeah for sometimes they are long yeah most of the time they're not most of the time they're not never apologize but also
Starting point is 00:38:19 appreciate you being aware of that but it's not necessary um I was heavily bullied in middle school by my biggest girlfriends from primary school that environment plus the whole pick me culture made me the biggest pick me I'm so cringed out by it now but also managed to laugh about it with my high school friends by college I started to grow out of it and now at 28 I finally feel like I've found my version of girlhood child free with the freedom and money to enjoy it in a different way one of my favorite parts is getting ready with my friends especially on girls trips that is really the best yeah it's so fun it's a special type of fun it is like how are you supposed to explain that feeling the best you can't explain that feeling to a man no pre-drinking
Starting point is 00:38:58 doing each other's makeup and hair the best part of going out i have curly hair so helping other curly hair girls figure out their routine brings me so much joy i also have a quote-unquote coven and honestly leaning into which and feminine driven energy feminine driven spirituality is so cool and it has been such a fun way to bond with nature i love that um another thing that leaning into girlness has brought in my life is art i just have been way more creative with my friends and by myself we have craft night painting pottery dates inspired by that i have just started a pottery course it is truly amazing and doing something with my hands when i work from my mind all fucking day long is so joyful another part that i sound nice it does another part that i
Starting point is 00:39:42 think is crucial for girlhood in our late 20s is leaning to your friends hobbies they love sharing it you know more about your friend now and you might just figure out things that bring joy to your life for example yeah that is really cute that's that's also some like really solid advice yeah and also just like that's like good friend behavior you know what I mean that's like so above and beyond I love you and I want to learn about the things you love yeah and that's why I'm like so deeply invested in the dodgers now unfortunately for example my friend loves cinema and i didn't like it at all because to be honest i spent so much of my teenage years pretending i liked tarantino and nolan i was done that's hilarious yeah nobody understands what nolan's doing
Starting point is 00:40:25 and i don't think nolan does either but she has been showing me movies from women and queer people's minds and movies about the sapphic experience and it has been amazing now we have a movie night every wednesday and she has been furthering my education i never had so i love the matrix yeah right yeah that's written by two trans women isn't it written and directed i i never had so much girlness in my life and it's become one of my biggest sources of joy it's also made me realize how powerful it is to have spaces where we can talk about life emotions even politics which is an essential part of adult girlhood and feel a little less alone and hopeless it's something i've noticed many of the men in my life don't quite have in the same way they have a ton of
Starting point is 00:41:07 friends but not always the same level of openness and connection anyway just wanted to share my thoughts on experiencing girlhood as an adult since dumbass patriarchy dogmas stole it from me in my tween and teenage years kisses girlies your portuguese dyslexic angel oh we love you so much that was really cute yeah those are all such good ideas i think it's so easy to lose touch with all of that in in a society and we live in a society have you seen that meme that's like we should improve society somewhat and then it's someone popping out of the ground and they're like but you participate in society how interesting i am very smart i haven't seen that that's how i feel like all of the internet is yeah it's like yeah you participate in society like well what
Starting point is 00:41:55 the fuck else am i supposed to do yeah right i wish it was a little better yeah and unfortunately it's not yeah anyway thanks for writing in yeah this was like a fun perfect little episode i love it it's gonna be a bitch to edit i don't think it'll be that bad no i'll just cut out all the blank spaces yeah when we were writing okay well thank you so much for listening elizabeth would you like to sing us out i would okay oh fuck yeah i'm just gonna try and beatbox i can do boots and cats fuck yeah god the breath control needed is so impressive yeah i can't i can only get a couple boots and cats out well we love you our children we love you You are children.
Starting point is 00:42:51 Okay, bye. Okay, bye.
