Who decides what you're worth? Well, number one, you decide your own self-worth,
but the market based on how good you are will decide what you're worth.
Tommy, you over-deliver, the market pays you more than what you're worth.
Well, they pay you exactly what you're worth because you over-deliver.
Most people don't over-deliver. You can get your entire company to come behind you,
or if you're an individual, because I want a lot of technicians here.
I want a lot of technicians that can come, even if their owners can't make it or if no one else comes. I want these people to come. And when these people go back, Tommy, they're going to be our greatest testimony stories in the and experts in various fields like marketing,
sales, hiring, and leadership to find out what's really behind their success in business.
Now, your host, the home service millionaire, Tommy Mello.
Before we get started, I wanted to share two important things with you.
First, I want you to implement what you learned today.

Now let's go back into the interview.
All right, guys, welcome back to the Home Service Expert.
Today is one of my favorite days.
It's a Friday.
Plus I got Andy Elliott in the house.
Andy Elliott put on a clinic yesterday at A1, 45 minutes.
Over 600 people in the company were online watching. I had guys crying.
I had guys texting me. I had guys begging me to meet Andy. I had guys ready for change,
ready to up their game. Andy was in the automotive industry. He's one of the most
world-renowned sales coaches. He literally has only been doing this four years. He's the number
one sales guy in the world for cars.
Virtual training, communication.
He does it.
Scottsdale, Arizona.
He's the founder and CEO of the Elliott Group.
And man, this guy currently training 185,000 salespeople and 1,500 dealers across the country.
But that's not all he does.
He's working.
We were just talking about the HVAC guys.
We were just talking about the plumbers. We were talking about the roofing companies he's coaching. He's really big.
Speaks at every solar event out there.
And Andy's just, he's
on fire right now. And he's kind of had a
rebirth over the last four years. Decided
he wanted more. Best shape
of your life. Jackie's in the best
shape of her life. Moved into your dream house.
Every person that works for you is making their dreams come true. Ungodly money. It seems like
everything you're touching right now is just the connections you're making are just next level.
You upped it, then you upped it again, then you upped it again. And I think you're just getting
started. Yeah, I am getting started. By the way, I appreciate you. Also, I want to correct you real
quick. We train 500,000 salespeople in 10,000 companies. And the reason I want to tell
you that is because it's old. I don't use a website. I haven't used one in three years.
Here's the deal. I'll tell you. Normally, when people start a business, they go to do something.
Everybody tells them what to do. I went against the grain. I did everything different.
Dude, what I love about you, Tommy, is you don't color inside the lines.
Okay. The reason why you have A1 garage doors, it's killing it and crushing it. The reason why every company wants you involved in it is because you know how to scale and grow.
Cause you stay, you stay innovated. I want you to understand this. The chokehold on every company
out there is leadership. If you want to change a company, the fastest way to change any company
is to change the psychology of the leaders. If you don't change the psychology of the leaders, you don't change the company.
So you're the leader and you are so innovative. And what happens is that once a leader believes
that what's possible is like maxed out, like this is maxed out. This is all we can do. You
don't understand our demographics. You don't understand. You don't blah, blah, blah. Innovation dies. And then their death belief becomes a reality. And you are so innovative.
And that's why we're brothers. That's why we stay close. Like when you're reading that piece of
paper, I know because you like to tell people who we are, but we're brothers. And what that means is
me and you challenge each other. We push each other. We make each other uncomfortable.
We tell each other the truth. We don't ask us each other. We can be in the same room. Maybe families be with our girls, hang out, have a good time,
talk about employees, talk about problems. And all we want to do, I want to be super coachable
when I'm around you. And you always try to be super coachable when you're around me.
Most of the time when you're around two guys that are making a hundred million dollars or something,
they're both always telling who's the best, how they're doing, what's going on. Dude,
every time I'm like, what are you doing? How did you do that? Who's helping you with that? Can I get their name?
Can you connect me with that person? And how can we work together? How can we double down? Because
in this case, two plus two equals a hundred. Yeah, no, that's the fact. But the goal is,
is that we're coachable. Okay. And so what I've learned is that a lot of people are closed-minded.
They're not open-minded that there could be a better way. Maybe there's a different way,
or maybe that they're the problem. Maybe it's not someone else.
Okay?
And then you know that one of the reasons why I changed my life is because I thought
success was my wife having a purse full of cash, paid off cars, my dream home, and I
was successful.
And what I learned is that my wife said she's learned to live without me because I was never
present.
By the way, the greatest skill in this world is being present.
Okay?
If you're at the gym, be at the gym. If you're at work, be at work. And if you're at home,
be at home. Okay. But don't be at work thinking about the gym. Don't be at the gym thinking about
being at home. This is the problem with the world. Nobody's ever really where they are.
So it's easy to beat everyone right now because most people don't live in the present. Okay.
Now I believe in like a future, hope in the future. So like I'm waiting for tomorrow. I want
it. But really at the end of the day, if I'm going to really kick ass, if I'm going to destroy
everybody and crush them now, I'm going to do it in the present. I'm not going to do it tomorrow.
I've had to wake up and realize that. And you know, you ever been, you've been on a lot of
planes. What does the stewardess say? They say, the mask comes down, help yourself first.
And I think leaders,
they want to change everybody around them,
but they don't look in the mirror.
If your desk is a mess, if you show up late,
if you're not respecting your people,
one of my managers woke up to me the other day,
he goes, you know what we have here?
Because we respect our coworkers and they respect us back.
I see a lot of leaders out there
treating their people like babies,
like they're immature,
especially in the blue collar industry.
And I'm like, man, there's no mutual respect.
And if you hire people, people are like, what do you look for in a person when you hire them?
Eye contact, smile. They're funny. They're charismatic. I don't need to be great at sales.
I need to be great at being human beings, listening, smiling. They talk to me and they're
like, man, I like this guy. I like this guy. And so many people, I was on a podcast yesterday about
all HR. And he goes, what do you think about diversity and guy. And so many people, I was on a podcast yesterday about all HR.
And he goes, what do you think about diversity and equity?
And I'm like, dude,
I don't care if you're a black, white, Cuban, or Asian.
I don't care if you're old, young, male, female, gay, straight.
It doesn't matter to me.
Show up and like, I got to like you.
And that's what people want in sales.
Yeah, you have to be good for the team too.
Because I want you to understand
there's something about a leader.
A leader always creates an environment. Look, my company is a hero making machine. Yeah. You have to be good for the team too, because I want you to understand there's something about a leader. A leader always creates an environment. Look, my company is a hero making
machine, right? I said that it is a hero making machine. If you're in my environment, you're going
to become great period. Cause I'd be, I've created an environment, which you become great. So if you
don't have that environment, it's because there's an absence of a leader. That's it. It's period. So I'm with Nick Saban.
And the question was, what's more important, talent or motivation?
And he said, guys, 50-50.
Because you can't take a guy that's like scrawny, like Rudy, and put him on the front line.
But he builds motivation.
But he goes, I'll tell you one secret about me.
I'm a better recruiter than I am a coach.
Like you have the ability, you're very rare.
You could take somebody
and actually shift their whole persona.
Like so many people,
they try to get you to remember lines,
but they don't change themselves.
Like when I started with you,
so here's a story, Andy,
walking out of the elevator,
we're in somewhere in Florida, speaking to the same event. And he walks out of the elevator
and he pinches my fat. Cause I put my head up like this and he goes, put your head down.
And that's why I put it like just normal. And he just pinches me. He's like, bro, you gotta be,
you held me accountable. And then if it says you were making fun, I mean, you just said,
dude, you're better than this. I know you you're alpha there's a lot of people looking up to you and i just
i wanted you to be that example that's the key is like dude when i started like when people see me
now they're like and i'm nowhere near where i'm gonna be but like it takes it takes consistency
like the deal is it does take discipline discipline always motivation and people are working out now
everybody's working out in it. Like people
that really respect me. I had a guy spend the night at my house. He lives in Dallas. He works
with me. And he goes, dude, wherever you go, I don't care if I'm washing cars, I'm going with
you. I'm a ride or die. I'm with you for life. You are my brother. He goes, I love you, dude.
He trusts you with his life. And these people, like, here's the thing is, that's a big responsibility.
Like the deal is, if they watch,
you said this yesterday,
dad's mom and dad are smoking,
mom and dad are eating McDonald's.
And then you wonder why your kids end up like this.
But this thing, like some of these people,
they didn't have a dad growing up.
That's why I love what you do
because you're a father figure to a lot of people.
And that's important.
Yeah.
And I want to be, and I'm accepting that role and I got to show up in a big way and I'm
not getting wasted.
I'm not being late to meetings.
I'm literally trying to show up the best version of myself because you know what night, the
worst nightmare would be is you walking down the beach and you look down in the distance.
And I tell the story a lot and you see this guy, dude, jacked and he looks good.
The most handsome dude you see,
and he's got his wife on his back, he's got his two little kids running behind him,
his dog running alongside of him, and you get a little bit closer, and you're like,
wait a minute, that kind of looks like me, and then you get really close, and you're like,
that is me, that's the best version of myself, that's what I call hell on earth,
knowing you could have been so much more waking up one
day on your deathbed because tomorrow's not promised. And there goes everything. Who you
could have been is hell on earth. And that's really like, that's a big freaking deal, man.
And I watched you, literally the coolest version of you I've ever seen. You're on stage and you're
like this. You guys don't think I'm good at sales. There's nobody in this room that could give me
anything that I can't rebuttal. And my trainer, my top trainer was there, John. And he goes,
dude, I've never seen anything like that. Not only is Andy Elliott good at sales,
he understands. And then you start to close. You're like, give me a client.
And you started closing deals, like calling back customers that didn't go with companies. And like, I've, I've sent so
many people that, that I work with to your events and they walk out and they're like, dude, John's
gained 30 pounds of muscle since he came to your event. He used to dude. And now he's like, dude,
I'm getting ready for a fight. He's like, you think Andy Elliott would go in the ring with me?
Well, I don't think Andy wants to fight anybody, but like he's so excited.
And like the people, there's a burning fire.
And then their wife gets in shape or their husband.
And then their kids start to see this different person.
And then the employees start to see it.
Then your clients start to see it.
And it's this domino effect.
And I think that's why you don't say,
dude, I'm going to change my family.
Say, I'm going to change the world.
Yeah.
Dude, I want to tell you, like Tommy, the main deal is, is that you have to do it wrong before you understand how to do it right. Right. And so anybody watching this right now, like if
you're working hard and you're giving all you got, like I'm proud of you because there's a lot of
lazy people. But I want to tell you this, you have no idea what you're capable of. And there is a new
play to run that will give you results and a dream life that you never imagined.
And that's why I said, when I was younger at 18, I got in sales and I made, you know,
a half a million bucks in my twenties. I'm like, oh my God, this is like, I'm going to do this till I die. And then I got in leadership and I realized that I couldn't make anybody as good
as me as when I was in sales. And then I had to become a good leader and start to train people
and make them good. Cause if I didn't, I was never going to exceed the 500,000 I did at sales. So I shouldn't even
have gotten leadership. And that's the problem. If you're going to be a leader, that means you're
getting paid a cut off of everybody, but it's a small one instead of a bigger one on yourself.
And then also leaders live for a bigger vision than themselves. So it's like,
I wanted to do something bigger. But in all this work, these things that I put into work, I was leaving my family over
here behind.
I gave 99% of my energy and effort to work because I wanted to win because that was like
what I thought a winner was, which it is.
But my family, I was just trashing them.
And I mean, like I was better than most, which is poison.
But at the end of the day, I wasn't giving my wife and my children the right of a lifetime.
Right?
Like, why can't I be extreme with God? Why can't I be extreme with my fitness? Why can't I be extreme with my wife? Why
can't I be extreme with my kids? Why can't I be extreme with my team? Why can't I be the best in
this industry? And by the way, why can't I build a great company and then like create human
excellence and inspire other companies to also be great? Like, yes, I want to rip everybody's
throat out and I want to make sure that whatever I do, I do it better than anybody else. You want to smash every other garage door company in the
world, but if some of them need some help, you'll help any of them with anything you need. But you
just need to make sure that you're number one and your goal, the greatest thing that you could do,
Tommy, is to build the greatest company, the best company that literally shows the world,
the rest of the world, what a great company is to look up to. In the home front, that means that
when your people go home, also how they treat their families determines what kind of leader you are at work.
Because I'm going to tell you, a lot of people think a good leader at work just makes them make
money. No, you teach your people how to also treat your family when they go home. Also,
you teach them how when they go into the community, you work for A1. When you go into A1,
you're wearing a shirt and you go into the community, you bet your ass when you see
somebody, you leave them better off than when you found them. You understand? Okay. That's what A1 is. This is what we, this is our brand. Okay. And
we're all leaders and leaders make leaders. Okay. And by the way, so, so like leader,
leadership skill, number one is self-leadership. And that's why when I grabbed your, your neck
that day, like I wanted to piss you off just a little bit. And I'm going to tell you why,
because you have so much influence because you're so good at business. You're either going to go one or two roads. You're going to teach
people all these business things and all these strategies and all these hacks and all these
things that you do that make a lot of money, but you were never going to change anybody's life
except financially. Right. Or I could grab you and I could say, Hey dude, you're built more than
just money. You're built to show people how to go home and treat their girls and get baptized.
Dude, all that, all those things, dude, you said, okay, cool. Like I'm going to go get it all.
Instead of being one dimensional and just business, you said, I'm going to go get it all.
Dude, since you've made these decisions, you've gotten closer to God. You've gotten in better
shape. You're closer with Bree. She's down 35 pounds. She doesn't look the same.
Your relationships are better. Your team is growing. You're making more money.
Your partnerships are better. My energy levels through the roof. I'm smiling more. The dopamine
releases. Zero alcohol. Yeah, but you look different. Dude, this is crazy. When your mind
knows things are happening, it literally changes the structure of your face.
Bro, you become more attractive to people. That can't happen. Bullshit. Go to YouTube. Look up Andy Elliott, oldest video.
You'll say, that's not you.
There's no way that's you.
And so anyways, we live in a very special time right now.
We have more technology, more resources, more things than we could ever imagine.
But Tommy, one of the things, and I don't know if it's okay to talk about this right
now.
Me and Tommy, our number one goals in life is that we have very good businesses.
We also have a very good life.
The art of achievement and the art of fulfillment, you need both.
Okay, you can make money for a year or two years, but to make money for decades, you
got to have both.
If I'm great at business and you're great at business, but I have a great personal life
at home and you don't have a great personal life at home, I'm going to kick your ass.
You can't compete with me if my personal life home is better than yours.
You can't compete with me.
If I physically feel better about myself, I'm going to kick your ass. You can't compete with me. If my personal life home is better than yours, you can't compete with me. If I physically feel better about myself, I'm going to kick your ass.
And so my goal is, is that what we're building is we're building the best leaders on planet earth.
And that's why we're getting together. And I'm like, I was going to talk about it at the end,
but yeah, I want to talk about doing this one day event, because honestly,
when you said that people come in and to my events and they leave with, I'll tell people,
you come to my event, you're going to leave, I'm going to rename you.
You're going to leave with a new birth certificate.
I'm going to give you a different name.
You're going to be a different human being.
But me and you, when we get together in one room, the way that you know the home service space, I've never seen anything like it.
I sit back, I watch when you teach, and I just am a student.
I'm blown away.
The greatest teacher in the home service space that ever existed is here.
And really in any business in general.
So it's all businesses.
But then when you put me with you and we feed each other, we fuel each other, me and you
pull the best out of each other.
You know, you're like, like, remember when you're shooting content that one day?
Yeah, I did it.
You did it.
You're like, wait, yeah, give me another shot.
And all of a sudden, when they say when the student's ready, the, hold on. Yeah, give me another shot. Let me go again. And all of a sudden, when they say, when the student's ready, the teacher will appear.
If you're ready to build a big life, make a lot of money,
change your family's bloodline,
break generational curses,
maybe be the guy at the bottom of the board, go to the top.
Maybe you're at the top now and you're like, what's next?
And you don't have an edge.
I don't care if you're an owner, if you're a technician,
I really don't care.
Me and Tommy are putting on a one-day event.
It's one day, it's not-day event. It's one day.
It's not freaking three days.
It's one day.
We need one day.
And me and him are going to throw up everything we know.
It's August 24th, and here's the deal.
I didn't tell you this, but you've been speaking to our team.
And, like, you've been going, by the way, Andy's got family time,
and he's been making a rare exception for me because
we get the whole team together once a month and he's been putting on a clinic. And I've got so
many guys who are just like, dude, how do I get more? So I'm going to probably have 15 of my A1
guys. I'm going to bring them on stage and they're going to talk about how they've been able to go
from $80,000 a year to $250,000 a year.
And they're going to talk about how literally two guys were getting ready to go through a divorce.
One guy was going to lose his kids.
And that's real.
And their lives have changed.
They're closer with their parents now.
And whether they're religious or not, they're praying a lot of these guys.
They're like, you know, one guy's messaging me yesterday,
all day, all these scriptures.
And he wants me to go to Prescott Valley
to the church with him.
I mean, you got to come to my church too.
But regardless, like you watch your lives
getting put together, their family lives.
And I always say, dude,
there's one thing I've noticed
with all of my top performers.
The one thing,
they got somebody rooting for them at home.
And if they understand the dream and why you're going to work, now they're like, how did your day go? Did you
close any door sales? Did you flip any service calls to the door sales? They're literally waiting
outside going, you better have sold the door today and get your ass back out there because
we got dreams to live. That's right. And now they're like rooting them on. How many people
go home and they're like, they have nobody on on their team and that's what this is about getting people on your team at home and listen i'll tell you this
everybody when they know i'm behind them but when they don't have a team at home behind them
and so we're not just you know people always come to these things they're like are we going to get
a lot of mindset we're going to get a lot of tactics and what i love about these type of
events that me and you do we've not done a lot And then we're not going to do a lot. Like the one thing I want to tell you is we're not doing
this like every week we're going to do maybe two a year tops. Yeah. And you're so busy and I'm so
busy that like, when we get together and we do this, like whoever shows up here, they're not,
by the way, let's just make sure we say this. It's in Scottsdale, Arizona and our headquarters,
the lion's den, it'll hold 450 people and then
we're cutting it off every event I have for the next six months those are already sold out
um people say why don't you move to 3,000 people because I like intimate settings
if I can get 400 people at one time and 450 people all leaves with their life change I like
that better than bringing in 3,000 and finding 400 people. You lose the message in a few thousand people.
Exactly.
Yeah, so I would rather take the 500.
And so, Tommy, one of the things I do want to tell you,
tactically, you're going to go,
tactically, how to go A to Z.
I will talk all the tactics.
Yeah, like I want them to know,
because listen, because that's really important.
I mean, we know that you need to know
how to do your job better than anybody else.
That's like, that's rule number one.
Don't ever let anyone else
know your business better than you. So we're going to make sure that we
cover that really good. Second thing, how to kick your own ass every day. We're going to make sure
that if you have any holes in your game, we're going to show you where the buckets of cash are.
That's all we're going to do. If you're an owner, we're going to show you where the buckets of cash
are in your business. If you're an individual technician, we want to show you where the
buckets of cash are, maybe in something that you've been doing, maybe something that you need
to do. There's things you need to stop doing. There's
things you start doing. And we're going to go through that. Okay. Also, I'm going to be handling
live objections on stage. What does that mean? Just everything and anything that anybody in the
room can come up with. I'm going to cover it on the spot. And I just want you to know that we're
going to bring a lot of variety into this. That's why this is going to be the greatest
one day summit that's ever been
put on by two extremely good salespeople, two extremely good closers, two extremely good leaders
who are now business owners who still live on the front line. I mean, dude, me and you are really
rare. Well, the deal is you got this great experience to motivate people and you've got the sales experience. I've been able
to watch kind of from like right here at all my technicians, 400 guys, and there's always the top
10, the same guys. And I know the attributes. I know, you know why? Six of them were at my house
last week for dinner. I know exactly what they say, exactly what they do. I know exactly how they don't discount.
I know exactly how are these top 10 guys
double everybody else?
How?
Well, I know how.
And I know another thing.
I know how they get reviews
and people ask for them by name.
So they stack the deck.
I understand certain things they do,
like start the work.
And I'm going to talk about that.
I'm going to talk about how,
dude, here's the deal. You want to get a better team. You do not pay people hourly and expect them to kick ass. There's a lot of owners out there and managers that are like, how do I
pay my people in a way that we're all winning? The client's winning. The vendors are winning.
I'm winning. And my coworkers or my technicians or my salespeople are winning. Nobody's really,
there's not a lot of people that have figured this out. And I say, what's in it for them?
What's in it?
Why would somebody push so hard
and kick ass in your business
when you're just paying them hourly?
What do you think you attract when you say $20 an hour?
You get a $20 an hour person that comes in
and you say, you'll be good enough.
When you meet the right people,
and I used to think I knew what an A player was
until I really met an A player.
And it was 2014.
Well, can we say that A players
don't work for C string leaders?
No, they don't.
They hate it.
We're going to teach leadership here.
Go back to that.
But I just want to say this,
like leadership to the extreme
will be taught at this event.
I just wanted to make sure I got that out.
Well, people ask me,
they're like,
how did these guys move up so quickly in your company?
How do you take a guy that was maybe a junior tech
and they move up to managers
and they run a whole market with 40 technicians?
I got a guy that was a technician running 70 technicians,
right?
He's doing all of Minnesota and all of Wisconsin
in a lot of markets.
And some people just, they're like,
what do I got to do to get ahead?
I know there's a lot of technicians out there
and installers out there that just want more.
And it's like, dude do I got to do to get ahead? I know there's a lot of technicians out there and installers out there that just want more. And it's like, dude, I could show them exactly how to do this because I've promoted four
guys that are now market managers.
But 2014, when I saw what a real A player was, it changed everything.
And by the way, this guy, this guy grew up in Iraq in a bomb shelter, dodging bullets.
When he came to the United States of America, he goes, I don't really care if you don't have money.
You have a roof over your head.
You have a house.
He's not timid.
His perception is-
And he goes, instead of saying, which one would you like?
He goes, here's what we're going to do.
He looks you dead in the eyes.
Here's what we're going to do.
He's the leader.
Oh, dude.
And here's the thing.
He's a team player.
He shows up early. He helps other guys. He works. If we needed to pick something up and he's like, he told me
this was like six months ago. He goes, same thing. He goes, dude, I'm going to die working with you.
Can I say that real quick? Cause I think that some people, when you were like, oh, this guy
invited me to church, I'm going to go to his church. And people may get lost in that where
they're like, I don't understand. Like I run a business. People will choose their mentor over money.
Let's just be crystal clear. You can call right now and try to recruit any of Tommy's players
at A1. You could offer them millions of cash. They're not leaving. They don't work for Tommy
for money. They work for Tommy for blood, sweat, and tears because they see that Tommy gives a shit.
They see that Tommy includes them in big picture.
Hey, how's your family?
What's going on?
Is everything okay?
Tommy, I hear you talk to your guys more about stuff
that doesn't have to do with work than has to do with work.
And then they want to give more work.
They want to do more because they want to please you
because they don't want to let you down because they look up to you. Dude, I'm going to tell you this right now.
Everybody's got that person that they don't want to let down. Everybody's got that person they're
trying to prove right and that person they're trying to prove wrong. Tommy, you've done such
a good job of brainwashing your team. And I want to say brainwash. I mean this, you brainwash them
to feel powerful and strong. You brainwash them to believe that they can do anything they want.
That's the greatest brainwashing in the world. You can do whatever you want. Most people are trying to work hard
to prove somebody wrong. Like this person said, I was never going to become anything. Hey, I don't
want to go back to Iraq or Middle East and be in a bomb shelter. I want to do this. So you're trying
to prove people wrong. Tommy, your team is trying to prove you right. Yeah, dude, they're trying to
freaking stay up. I bet you have people in your company
that they don't even feel worthy to work here. They're like, how did I get such a great environment?
How did I get a place that every day I come to work, they push me to be great. No one in your
life. And I bet anybody watching this, when's the last time someone wanted you to be the greatest
in the world? Truly? Probably never. And that's what we want. And by the way, you said something about
this guy. You said this guy that's doing this as a team player. Like, think about this for a minute,
man. Real leaders build people. An individual can be beat, but a team can't be beat. To break
records on their own, but also cheer on the rest of their team and be contributors to the company.
That's one thing. Yeah. That's one thing, Andy. Not consumers.
Like, you don't understand. People say, what's the difference between A1 and all the top companies out there. My top, literally the top
10% and the top 10 guys, they'll take a phone. You know what I do? I post those top 10 guys
during orientation. I do a four hour orientation. I'll go through this when we're, when we're at
your event or your, you know, your place in Scottsdale. And I said, you know, you're placing Scott still. And I said, you know, most people won't do here's the 10 guys
you need to call. Only one of you guys in this 40 guys are going to call these guys. Well, I got a
phone call 30 days ago, guy in Vegas. He goes, dude, I called every one of them. You know,
who's number one in the company right now. This guy's been here 70 days. Number one in the company because he took action and he goes, dude.
And the first thing I did when I'm doing this in the next orientation, I called him up and
I go, what did you do?
He goes, I was on the exact same slide and taught Tommy's orientation.
And I called all of them that day.
Right after I did that, I had 10 guys hit me up and like, I called every one of these
guys, you know, who's going to win.
It's every one of those guys.
The one thing I need to get better at, and I'll say this is how come I can't get all
40 to do it?
How come they don't want, but this is their first or their first time meeting me, right?
Orientation.
I wish so hard.
It was at a recruiting problem.
And by the way, I don't hire people.
I do not hire.
I don't go on Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Monster.
I don't hire people.
I recruit people.
And I noticed that about you.
People come wanting to work.
I saw you and Jackie talking the other day.
She's like, I try to talk people out of it.
I want to make them know this is going to be easy.
Like you got to get granted access to work.
I make people sign mental toughness waivers
to come work for me. Mental toughness. I'm not even joking. Like, listen, like we have everything, but I also
say that at the end, I'm really super like transparent here. I look number one. I love you.
I appreciate you. I'm glad you're here. Look, nobody's going to show up and work for you,
Tommy, and be lazy because like lazy people don't come and ask you for jobs.
No, the people that really want to work hard, they believe what you believe and they want to be like you because they look up to you because they respect you.
Those people come to ask you for jobs.
But whenever people come, we examine the heart.
We see where their mind is.
I want to meet their wife.
I want to meet their family.
I want to know, hey, let's say they don't get up to speed and they're doing great fast enough.
Are you going to support them through that process for them to become great?
We have this strategy, but one of the most important things is, man, is that like, is that like you run such a high example that like people don't
come ask you if they're not going to work hard. So I have something, it's a, I have all my paperwork,
right? All my stuff in our company, which obviously my wife runs it, not me,
but I have a mental toughness waiver every day in company, every day, and I'm not saying anybody
does this, okay? I just want you to understand those that suffer together, those that bleed
together, those that grind together, they stay together. The reason why I have 100 people in
my company and they can do more than 10,000 other people, the reason why we broke nine figures in
four years and we're doing it every year and we're just growing like wildfire is because I'm your
person that's going to push you harder than anyone's ever pushed you in your life. And I say this during the interview. Are you going to give me permission to push you
harder than anyone else has ever pushed you in your life? And they say, yes. And I say, okay,
this is a mental toughness waiver. I want you to understand it. I'm doing this too. I never
thought of this. I'll give you my coffee. It's a mental toughness waiver. And basically it says that I am going to push you, right?
As hard as I can.
And if you work here, I don't want you to work here if you don't want to work here.
If you work here, you're giving me permission to.
Basically, you're giving me permission to positively peer pressure you to become great.
Like positive peer pressure. Peer pressure you to become great. Like positive peer pressure,
peer pressure, like drink, drugs. I'm going to peer pressure you to break every weakness in your
life. And I'm going to do it every day. And if that's what you want, that's what you're signing
on for. And so like, some people don't want that. And that's why you don't pick them.
Yeah. They opt out. They don't call you back. They're like, dude, I don't know if I'm ready
for this. They're not ready for the change. Here's what I would tell you. There's people that watch this and they go, oh, I would
never work for someone like that. You're right. You'll, you're never going to retire either.
You're never going to change anybody's life and they'll never make statues after you. And then
at the end of the day, you'll never break your family's bloodline and someone else in your
family is going to have to step up and do it at some point. Cause you didn't. Yeah. Guess what?
That's okay. Because you chose to be average. By the way, listen to me. Could you imagine going through
life and then when you die, never having changed anyone else's life, you don't change other people's
life by giving them advice. You're not following. You change people's life by doing what you say
you're going to do. And then they want to become you. There's this video and it wasn't, um,
and my life and I watched it on, he he's on stage and I met him a my left. And I watched it on.
He's on stage and I met him a couple of times.
I don't know him personally.
And he goes like this.
He's on stage and he goes, I'm the one.
I'm the one that took all the late phone calls.
I'm the one that took all the cancellations.
I'm the one that drove four hours a day to go meet a client that just canceled.
I'm the one that drove four hours a day to go meet a client that just canceled I'm the one that changed my family line he goes my family doesn't think like they used to think they're optimistic
I broke the line I'm the one and when I got that I get goosebumps so I sent it to my mom
and I said mom I'm the one my mom called me yesterday and I was in a meeting and I said I
got to take this my mom and I'm on speakerphone and she goes, oh my God, Tommy.
She goes, I was just at the dentist office.
And the dentist goes, wait a minute.
Is Tommy Mello your son?
And she goes, Tommy, this is the proudest moment I've ever had.
She goes, the dentist stopped all of his hygienists to pull them into the room and said, this
is Tommy Mello's mom.
I don't know who this dentist is, but she's like, I am so proud of you. And it makes me want to
tear up. But I was like, dude, this is the coolest freaking phone call ever. That is what you get.
Yeah. And it's amazing. I loved it. And she just said, I'm calling you to tell you,
I love you. And I'm proud of you. Yeah. And she goes, it was, she goes, I got knots in my stomach
thinking about it. And I was like, thanks mom. It made me feel like, listen, I'm fortunate.
I still have a mom and a dad.
And I know they tell me all the time how proud they are.
And the thing is, what my dad always tells me, he's like, there's, he goes, you're on
top of the world, but you're meant for so much more.
And he goes, you're just getting started.
And that's what I love is I got these people.
Like I said, you need your family behind you.
I've got my family behind me.
I've got Bree behind me working out every day.
She's getting up.
We got rid of all the junk food.
You know what I mean?
Like the fact is like people say, is this real?
You know, we know how these,
these influencers are behind.
Like they're saying this.
I promise everybody listening,
like this is really, really real.
And this isn't like, this is because I want this.
This isn't like I'm touting.
There are days that I don't feel like getting out of bed.
There are days that I feel like, you know, I'm not perfect.
There's days that I don't, like, I'm not optimistic.
There's moods I get in.
But for the most part, I'm the best I've ever been.
But you know what else?
I'm the worst I'll ever be.
Because tomorrow I'm going to be 1% better.
Yeah.
And let's go back to where you were before, right?
Like everybody that's watching this is eventually like,
or everybody's out of place right now.
Tommy, you were once out of place 10 years ago, right?
And you would have loved him at this guy right now.
Oh yeah, dude.
There were times I got,
I'm an overnight success of two decades.
That's what I always say.
It's not easy.
But could you imagine though, 10 years ago,
if you could have learned from you,
it would have saved you 10 years.
Oh, a hundred percent.
Like, and that's what this event,
this event is about compressing timeframes.
This event is about turning decades into days,
how you can save a decade.
We live in a generation right now
where basically traditional learning is dead. Okay.
It's dead. Learning a specialized skill is where it's at. Tommy, you have so many specialized
skills and I have so many specialized skills at this one day event we're going to do.
These specialized skills are all coming to the table. I want everything that we do,
that we do at a really high level. I want anyone in that room to leave with everything that we know,
everything that we know.
And I want those people to not waste 10 years.
And by the way,
we're in a,
we're alive in an era of time right now that literally everybody's asleep.
So I don't care like what you say,
like there's no competition.
It doesn't exist.
So if you wake up now,
the next three years,
that could be the massive exit in your business. If you're an owner, the next three years could be the fact whether
you become a multimillionaire or not. These next two or three years could be the entire, you know,
like I said, generational curse breaking deal ever. I changed my life five years ago. You know,
you changed your life a couple of years ago. I mean, it's like, bro, me and you just changed
our life a couple of years ago. And I'm not saying that we didn't work. I worked in the automotive space for
20 years and I was financially okay. I hated me. Like, I'm going to be honest. Like I didn't like
me. Like I, like I may have said, I like me, but I didn't like me, dude. I wasn't, you weren't in
the present. I was just junk, man. I got to tell you, yesterday we did just shy of a million dollars in sales.
Next year, Luke, my CEO, was like, we should have no problem surpassing 100 million of bottom line EBITDA.
People are like, why do you do this?
You know, I lose money by talking at events.
People think, man, they must be looking for money.
I will promise you.
I will promise you one thing. When I go speak at events, I lose money. I literally lose money.
Now here's the difference. You know what I do? You know, when somebody calls me and says,
you saved my marriage, you've literally turned my life around. This is how I get my, my joy.
This is what I do when When I could change lives,
if you think this event is like,
man, Tommy and Elliot must be,
Andy Elliot are just trying to make money.
Like, here's the thing.
I make more money at A1 Garage Door Service than any other thing on the planet.
I'm wasting time every day I'm not here.
But you know what?
I'm changing lives.
I keep yelling at him.
I keep telling him,
I'm like, Tommy,
don't fly and go to that event.
You're making a million dollars a day, bro. Stay here. And he always goes, yeah, but if I leave, you know
how many people's lives I can change. I wanted to play this clip for you for 30 seconds. I know
everybody can hear it. But Patrick, but David says this, and y'all know you'll love this.
You can tell a lot from somebody how big they think after they make money and they have some
success. When they make money, that's when they slow down.
That's when they get casual, the hunger goes away.
You really know if somebody's hungry, what they made money and they're still going.
What is this guy doing?
You really know who someone is when they make money.
I get goosebumps because like, dude, that was just, we've always said,
money is just 10 times who you are.
Yes, exactly.
And the deal is for me is it's like, for me, it's not always been about work, work, work.
If you think this podcast,
if you think me going on stage is working,
like, dude, I never go to work.
I don't.
You know, Tiger Woods,
do you think he ever goes to work
when he's in golf balls?
I love what I do.
And that's one thing, dude.
And the one thing that I told Bree,
is she knows who I am.
She's not going into our relationship saying maybe one day he'll change.
Like, look, I want to have kids.
Like, I've seen the way you are with your kids.
I think being a father and a husband comes number one.
But also, this is in my DNA, just like golfing's in Tiger Woods' DNA.
And if I can't change lives, you get me away from podcasting and talking on stages.
That literally puts the fire out inside of me.
Like I can't live without this.
So when somebody, when I walk out of this event
and somebody, dude, I don't need everybody to walk out
and I'll automatically become a millionaire.
But if like 20% of the people walk out
and they actually implement this stuff
and I get a phone call six months later,
I love myself.
I was fat.
Now I'm in shape. Or now I've got more energy. Or now I'm a phone call six months later, I love myself. I was fat. Now I'm in shape.
Or now I've got more energy.
Or now I'm a good husband.
Or now I'm a good son.
Or whatever that is, that is like, in my opinion,
money, you need money.
It's a tool.
And trust me, when you're not paying bills.
Money comes with all that stuff you just said, though.
Dude, when you do that, you know,
Jim Rohn was Tony Robbins coach, right? And Jim Rohn said, don't wish it was easier. Wish you were better. Dude, if you want to make five times more money right now, okay, if you want to,
if anybody on this call wants to, can you work five times more hours? No, it's impossible.
Right. Can you work five times harder? Bro, you already work with all your might.
You have to get five times better.
Yeah.
That's the only way.
And that's why these events, it's total immersion.
Hey, by the way, I'm going to tell you something.
I'm going to call my shot and I've never missed a shot, right?
Anybody that shows up to our event, okay?
And by the way, we'll sell the tickets out in a couple of days
as soon as this podcast go live.
But I want to tell you guys something.
Anybody that shows up that's lucky enough to get in this room quick enough
over my dead body, right?
Well, I let them walk out of there
and not be the greatest leader on planet earth,
the greatest salesperson on planet earth,
the greatest communicator on planet earth,
the greatest team builder on planet earth,
the greatest presenter on planet earth.
I'm going to make all this stuff happen.
Tony Robbins.
Remember I just did this event with Tony?
Yeah.
I won it.
Oh, you did? I told you I was going to win it, didn't I? That's awesome, dude. Remember I just did this event with Tony? Yeah. Won it. Oh, you did?
I told you I was going to win it, didn't I?
That's awesome, dude.
Dude, listen, I competed with everybody across the world last night, won at midnight.
You won at midnight?
Smoked them too. Smoked them. Listen, hey guys, I want to tell you guys something, all right?
If you believe it, if you can see it, it'll happen.
Dude, I love that you did that. You know what I love that I hire? The one thing
is competition. You know what? I like to win. What does this say? Aspire to be number one.
I know my dad always taught me. He's like, dude, he never taught me that losing is okay. Like my
dad used to kick my ass and everything. She'd pull one handed. We had to do a hundred pushups
when I was a kid. I'd do them on his back. Like he taught me to be competitive. You're ultra
competitive. That's why we get along. And I'll tell you, so I've got a guy, one of my top guys, he's in Minnesota, hurt his shoulder.
He's got a little son. And he's like, dude, if I don't get my shoulder looked at, I might never
be able to play catch with my son, but he hates missing work. Out four months, we've got this
pinnacle thing. You got to hit $1.3 million. He's got to catch up for four months. He flew out here,
great guy named Justin.
So Trevor and Justin.
And Justin says, you want to do this?
Spend the night at my house tonight.
We're going to whiteboard.
They put this whole list together.
Here's what your conversion rate needs to be.
You're going to have to pick up one Saturday every week.
You're going to have to get this.
You're going to have to only sell doors that are in stock.
He's got to set a, you know what he needs to do each day? He needs
to do eight grand a day in garage doors, which if anybody's listening and knows this industry,
it's almost impossible. But the fact that he wrote that down and here's what I'm going to do
with this event. I'm going to have these guys there and I'm going to have them at least go
up there and talk about why they wrote their goals down, how they actually manifested.
Like this dude, he texted me yesterday, 20 grand, four,
four, four, five-star reviews. And one of them says, literally, I can read it. He goes, the best
compliment I ever got. He goes, you're just as, you seem like the guy on the side of the truck.
And I know that's the best compliment you ever got. But it's like, I really want to talk about
this stuff of like, so many people are like, yeah, I want to get better. I want to lose weight.
Well, listen, how much protein are you having? How much fat? How many
carbs? What's your, like, literally like, dude, my plan now I'm on a calorie deficit. I'm literally
walking one hour a day and my workouts, dude, five, like there's nothing that can happen,
but change. It's physically impossible, mathematically impossible. But some people
just, they say it would be nice to make more money.
How much money, buy, win.
Let's get very specific.
And certain people,
there's one thing I know about you, Andy,
is they don't want this.
They're like, man, this guy's gonna hold me accountable.
This means I'm gonna have to change.
I'm just so comfortable right now.
But then they wake up and I'm telling you, Andy,
they wake up and they're 41, they're 51, they're 61.
You're never ready. People always say, you know, one day, one day it's easy for you, Andy, they wake up and they're 41, they're 51, they're 61. You're never ready.
People always say, you know, one day, one day, it's easy for you to say, but I just go back.
Is it day one? Could it be you? Yes, it could, but you've got to decide. And listen, I promise
you guys, listen, this money to me, I mean, yesterday, the Goldman Sachs account fluctuates
$700,000 a day. Like literally, like I sell a book for $20.
It doesn't do anything.
Like literally the main goal I want people to understand is like, if you really understood
arbitrage in business, I need this though for my soul.
The guys I work with, the PE company, they know how important this is to me that I do
these things.
And this is so important to me.
Like, yeah, you know, these events. And this is so important to me. Like, like, yeah,
you know, these events don't make money by the way you put on this thing and get like, like,
it's not like there's no money grab here. It's like, for me, I just compared to what we do,
what you know. Yeah, no. But the thing is you build relationships and there's, you know,
there will be three people in that room. I guarantee you, I guarantee you that I become close friends with and things change.
And by the way, I want my guys there.
I want my guys to see me.
I want to bring them on stage.
I'm teaching them to become better leaders.
I'm going to have them present a couple of things and they're going to be where, what
do you think you guys were?
What do you think my guys were?
Yeah.
And guess what?
They're going to be wearing a loud and proud.
And, and, and you know what else I got on my shirt is a cheap labor ain't skilled.
A skilled labor ain't cheap.
I love it.
And I got that shirt made for them because the thing is, is I remember you saying this,
you go, ah, you were closing somebody and you're like, I don't like cheap things.
Do you like cheap things?
Yeah.
Why are we talking about cheap things?
You want cheap things?
Because I remember last time I bought something cheap.
It didn't last.
Yeah.
I love that.
People would say, you know, like, can I get a better deal?
And I said, do you like cheap things?
And they said, no.
I said, I don't like cheap things either.
So let's not talk about cheap things.
It's either quality or quantity.
We either go up in quality or we go down in quality.
If we go down in quality, we go down in price.
I'm totally cool with it.
That's what I say.
There's two ways I could save you money, Andy.
Two ways.
I could either, we take it out of labor,
or we take it out of quality of the parts.
Which one do you want?
Do you want less screws on the door?
Want to remove a couple of the safety screws?
Because we can pull down the quality
or we can pull down the labor.
Which one do you want?
Do you want guys with felonies showing up?
Or would you rather have qualified technicians
with background checks with drug tests
that know
how to do the work that are properly trained for over two months to get certified? Or we could go
down on the parts. We could give you one year labor parts. Because I could move one. Which one
do you want me to move? Yeah, I love it. There's only two. Greatest clothes in the world. And by
the way, most garage door companies, most home service spaces, they're out of business in a
couple of years. So at the end of the day, even if somebody will tell you, they'll do all the
things that I'll do in three years when you call them and he goes and nobody's
there you're going to call me and i'm going to replace the whole thing it's going to cost you
twice as much yeah i mean so listen if money is a concern to you like saving money this is your
best road and here's the deal this is one of the things i really want to talk about is uh
you know what i love the most when i get a home service first in my house is when they give me
options and they tell me everything because you know what i don the most when I get a home service first in my house is when they give me options.
And they tell me everything because you know what?
I don't sell things people need.
I sell things people want.
And you know what?
People are like, man, I only sell things people need.
That's what losers say.
You ever go down a Facebook forum and roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, they say, oh yeah, you guys sell too much.
You upsell.
No, I don't.
I give them options.
Because you know what?
I like those options because I want those options.
Do I, can I get out of my shower faster water pressure,
harder water pressure?
Can I have it get hot faster?
I want those options.
The things that, I don't upsell, I don't upsell,
I don't upsell.
You don't give options.
You know, when you go to a Ferrari dealer,
are you mad that that guy that sent the car a lot sold,
they called me up because they wanted options. Oh, I don't have to sell. Losers, don't come to this event if you
don't like to talk to people and give options. Because every time you met somebody, every time
you made a friend, every time you met your wife, I'm sorry, we're all doing a little bit of selling.
And to sell is human. Daniel Pink wrote a book about it.
And I think people are just, oh, I don't like sales.
Every day in life, every relationship you go to is sales.
We always say this, don't take advice.
This is just good for everybody,
but never take advice from somebody you don't want to become.
If you don't want to be them, don't take their advice.
All those people that are saying those things,
nobody wants to be these people.
These people don't have the home that you want. They don't have the cars that you want. They don't have the peace in their
life that you want. They don't take their families on vacations. And these people, when they go home,
just like they're saying, I don't want to upsell, they're also going home saying, I don't want a
better marriage. I don't want to be a better father. I don't want to be closer to God. I don't
want to take better care of myself. These are also people that walk around and everything around them,
they don't want to raise their standards. So like, I don't have nothing to do with any of these.
No, I'd rather them not come because literally they're a plague.
They actually dampen the mood when they walk in.
They never smile.
They're always talking behind someone's back.
And here's the thing.
People are like, why would I raise my price?
I'm like, no, you got to raise your standards before you raise your prices.
But the thing is people like, why do you sell things?
And I'm like, I could also compete at the most economical price because we give options. But here's the difference.
I was asked this on stage, especially in a garage store, other garage store companies.
They say, how do you sleep at night charging those prices? I say, let me ask you this.
Do you guys make six figures? Do you give insurance with dental? Do you give PTO at
least three weeks? Do you give them a new vehicle? Can you afford billboards? Do you give PTO at least three weeks? Do you give them a new vehicle? Can you afford
billboards? Do you pay for service time, the best CRM in the trades? Because if you can't answer
those, how the hell do you sleep at night? How do you sleep at night knowing I'm screwing my
employees over to give my customers a good deal? So you literally are holding your guy down,
putting them in the ghetto, making sure he's in an apartment, driving a used truck, making sure
his wife's got to work a second job so you can give your customers a good deal.
And you sleep at night. Oh, wow. I did this one day with 40 owners. They all shook my hand and
said, I'm going to raise my prices. I said, don't raise your prices. Raise your standards
because you don't deserve to. You drive used trucks. Your guys aren't certified that they
don't have their shirts tucked in. They don't care. You're running eight calls a day per tech.
That's another thing.
Like you got to have enough time with that client to do a needs analysis and get to know
them a little bit and talk to them and smile and hear their story.
Hey, little Annie's sleeping upstairs.
So you probably want a quieter opener.
So it doesn't wake up every time dad goes to work.
Like you got to hear their story.
You're turning and burning.
You got a Harley Davidson, man. I'm talking about Sturges. I'm talking about Mount Rushmore. Like you got to hear their story. You're turning and burning. You got a Harley Davidson, man.
I'm talking about Sturges.
I'm talking about Mount Rushmore.
Like I want to know, you're a fisherman.
I want to find out the biggest fish you've caught.
But genuinely, like the thing is,
I don't need to fake this.
But I like to get to know people.
Yeah.
Well, and at the end of the day,
that's why Tommy goes, this is a real deal.
This is a real event that we're putting on.
This is an opportunity for everybody to really get the success that's available in this marketplace right now. Who
decides what you're worth? Well, number one, you decide your own self-worth, but the market based
on how good you are will decide what you're worth. Tommy, you over-deliver, the market pays you more
than what you're worth. Well, they pay you exactly what you're worth because you over-deliver.
Most people don't over-deliver. You can get your entire company to come behind you,
or if you're an individual, because I want a lot of technicians here. I want a lot of technicians
that can come, even if their owners can't make it or if no one else comes. I want these people
to come. And when these people go back, Tommy, they're going to be our greatest testimony stories
in the world back in their home service spaces, and they're going to destroy it. I promise you. Oh, yeah. Yeah. And we're going to do two events a year. And I'll
tell you this. Whoever comes, again, greatest leaders, sell, close, communicate. Super important
on my end. And then obviously, the art of getting it all. That's super important to me because like
I said, nobody can compete with you when you're happy. Nobody can compete with you when you're
fulfilled. And that's why right now, like you're killing it, dude,
because you're just on fire. You're taking care of yourself. Your job is to take care of yourself,
to take care of your family. And most people say, I'm going to take care of my family.
They don't take care of themselves. And that's the reason why they can't take care of anything.
They say that. They say, all I care about is my family. And I say this all the time. I'm looking
at your credit card bills and your calendar. It's bullshit. I'll tell you, I want to close
with this and then I'll have you close us
out. It's August 24th
and I
literally do learn from you. I have
everybody learn from you and I've got
a lot of guys that just
they want, they need you because
they've already seen their family change.
They don't know when's enough enough. It's
never enough because they're going to continue to rise, raise the bar.
And my number one goal is that when people come to this event,
when they leave, they're like, man, I was thinking way too small.
I was just trying to become like,
I just wanted enough to pay the bills and have a little leftover to go on one
vacation a year. My goal, I always tell my guys,
I don't want you to own a house. I want you to own 10. I don't want you to go to Disney World.
I want you to go to Disney World first class in the penthouse and skip all the lines. Like you
guys are so much better, but you're limited by your beliefs of what you think is good.
But I want to go excellent. And I dare you to dream bigger and know it's possible. And I show
them it's possible every day. And the other thing is that
these guys come to my house.
They're like, what happens
if they come to your big house
and they think you make a lot of money?
I tell them I make a lot of money.
I don't care.
I'm like, you guys help build this house.
I don't give two shits.
But you're going to have
another house like this too.
You know, I don't feel like,
oh, look at me.
I never show people like,
look at me come to my house.
Like people like you can't have your employee.
Like the deal is like,
these guys are my friends. They're my family. They're my family. Whatever
you want, bro. I don't, I don't read a book on how to treat my people. I treat them how I want
to treat them. I don't know. People are like, that's not right. You can't do that. I'm like,
dude, I make the rules. I'm like, don't ever tell me like, obviously, listen, I give my technicians that go to Pinnacle equity. Okay.
They have equity in the company. And the deal is, is like, that's if people were to see how we do
this and I'm going to share all this stuff on stage, but the fact is I don't want owners being
like, man, I don't want you talking about that. The thing is it might not be right for your
company. And there's a structure that makes it work because then you attract a plus players.
And then on top of that, these guys never leave because they got a,
they got a reason to stay because there's this big money event coming up.
And I'm just,
dude,
I just,
I'm excited to do it.
I love watching your content.
I love that you're coaching us.
I love sitting down with experiences like this and I can't get enough of it.
Like the truth is I can't get enough of it.
And if not,
somebody hasn't experienced it.
They're like, Oh, I don't know if I'm ready for that.
August is a bad month.
Kids go back to school.
Dude, it's a one-day event.
It's one day.
So stupid.
It's like you could get in and out in one day.
If you got a reason not to be here,
you talk about the story when Tony Robbins and Dean
changed your life because of a stupid event, right?
And everything turned around. It wasn't stupid, but I mean. Yeah. It was something that most people thought,
you know, well, number one, I was busy. I had a lot going on. I had a million other things to do.
And I had to say no to a lot of things to say yes to that. Thank God I did.
Well, look, what did you do last year? Yeah, we did over a hundred and a half million dollars.
Yeah. And the thing is, is people are like, they're so limited belief in Tony Robbins is the best
at that.
But you've taken that on.
And you're right.
We've got to change people.
But, you know, Andy, I could do this literally for hours.
And the thing is, you guys know, I always come prepared for podcasts.
I didn't ask.
I don't even need it.
I don't need a piece.
I just take my own notes.
Like, I got all my own notes here.
I don't ask.
We never need this. Well, me and you notes. Like I got all my own notes here. I don't ask, we never need this.
Well, me and you together.
So me and Tommy are very dynamic.
I mean, we're very dynamic.
It's pretty crazy when you put us together in a room and then we both start.
And by the way, because when we're together,
it's like, I want to share.
And then when I share something, you're like, dude,
I got to share something just like that.
And then before you know, we both dump our hearts out. We dump our minds out. We dump all of our strategies out. We dump
everything that we've done to build our businesses or to be the best out. And everybody is like,
dude, you can't pay for this. It's priceless to get this. And so I just want to tell everybody
that there's a day you're born, the day you die, and the day your life changes forever.
And I know that some people won't like this, but like four years ago, you said you were going to do something and you didn't do it.
And then three years ago, and then two years ago, and last year, you said you were going to do some
shit and that was going to be the big year. And then this year, 2024 is going to be the big year.
Remember how this was going to be the big year? We're halfway through the fucking year now.
Okay. So, and by the way, you're going to get mad at me. Okay. You're going to blame me for telling
you this and you're going to get mad. And the next year is going to be the year, dude, you're never
going to have your year. And so like me and Tommy are getting together right now. And there's going
to be a day where we can't really do these anymore because we're so crazy busy, but we live really
close to each other. So we're doing this here. We're taking 450 people, private, small, intimate
setting. If you're lucky enough, if you're lucky enough if you're lucky
enough to get tickets i would say they're not very expensive i haven't decided if we're going
to do a vip yet but if there's one i would tell you to buy it okay that means it's going to be
afterwards but whatever the hell it is it'll be total recreation it'll be the craziest event of
your entire life it's going to be intimate you're going to meet tommy you're going to beat me we're
going to kick ass we're going to answer any questions we're going to be close we're going
to become family again relationships are going to be made in You're going to meet Tommy. You're going to meet me. We're going to kick ass. We're going to answer any questions. We're going to be close. We're going to become family.
Again, relationships are going to be made in that room.
If you want to do business with Tommy, you got to go to that event.
You don't get to do business with Tommy if you don't get close to Tommy.
It's just the way it works.
Same with me.
And I'm just telling you, I'm going to bring it all this day.
And I know that you're going to bring it all.
And then you're going to make me go to another level and you're going to go to another level.
And the next thing you know, they're going to go to another level and the whole place
is going to walk out on fire.
They will.
And so, yeah.
So like, I'm just,
and I mean,
and skilled
and also with a changed mind
and a different perspective.
So we love you guys, Tommy.
Thank you for having me here.
Thank you, brother.
I mean it, man.
And we're going to bring the heat.
So if you're watching this,
make sure you get yourself set up
and don't be selfish.
If you have a buddy or two
that's in the home service space
and you're like, dude, I want you to go with me,
just share this video with them, okay?
You know what?
You got 450.
I probably got a lot, like 20 of those.
We got to figure this out
because I've got people on my team that, dude,
it's the best sign that I love them
to bring them to a place like this.
Yes.
That they know that I actually
care. And they've been begging. They're like, dude, I need to talk to Andy. I need to talk to
Andy. And I'm like, dude, Andy is one of the only human beings on the planet that's busier than me.
So I'm like, listen, but this is the perfect opportunity. And you know what we can do for
one. Yeah. Like we're both there. Like, that's what I love is that like you're it's sales and
business all into one.
Sales and leadership will get you rich and you're building a massive business. I'm building, and really, honestly, we're both building two different businesses.
So like to share everything that we're doing and to share like how we've got there, there's
two different roadmaps.
Yeah.
There's two different guides, you know, like you're a guide, I'm a guide.
We have already done all the heavy lifting.
Like we're just going to share. There are people, and I'll close, I keep saying I'm a guide. We have already done all the heavy lifting. Like we're just going to
share our people and I'll close. I keep saying I'm going to close out, but there are people
that call me up and they're like these two things that I did. And the reason they come back to my
events is because they're like, if I don't go back, like I'm already making millions more.
Like what is the limit? And here's the hard
part for me, Andy, is a lot of people are like, dude, I want to run to be 200 million like you.
I'm like, why? I'm like, you were doing 500,000 last year. Like, how much does your life need?
Like, it is great to set big goals, but I teach people to get to an exit and then you can go to
another exit, another exit, and then you can give all the people on your team, the money, every
exit, you know? So I just just I love that we're doing this.
I'm excited about it.
Dude, it's so cool, dude.
Like when you guys come to Arizona, it's like it's different out here.
Like it's sunny every day.
You got your workout stuff there.
I've been working out.
I got it all set up like we're going to have fun.
And I'm serious.
I really, really, really would like you guys.
If you guys got technicians,
if you guys got managers,
this thing, there's no doubt in my mind,
this thing is going to be jam-packed,
but it's still a small setting
compared to what I've been to.
And it's going to be August 24th.
Yeah, get your tickets quick.
As soon as you see it,
buy as many tickets as you need
as fast as possible and you're done.
I mean, that's it.
I would just say get them quick
because it's going to fly quick.
All right, guys.
