Starting point is 00:00:00 Tommy, by the time I was done with real estate, we were doing a billion in annual sales, and I was working the business three hours a week. I'll tell you what my mentor taught me that blew my mind. He says, Danny, you want to have it all? And I said, yeah. All right, here's the key to having it all. Make as much money as you want. Just don't ever work more than 20 hours a week to make it.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Today I got Danny Morel, and this man is a legend. I'm really excited to have you on because I always talk about pulling out the best in people. I do orientation. I got 64 guys coming in this month. And I'm like, I'm going to pull out the best part of you, whether you like it or not. And if you don't like that, this is not the place for you. Danny's the author of Awaken Your Highest Self. And through his work, he's inspired thousands and thousands around the world to heal from the past and step into the highest versions of themselves. Danny, let's just jump into, you know, I know that your mother was part of your motivation and she passed in 2016 and I'm very sorry that that you know I'm super
Starting point is 00:01:05 close to my mom and my dad and you know I can't imagine what you've been through but I know that that's a big piece of why you pushed yourself and the motivation for the higher self movement. Could you just tell us a little bit about, you know, your upbringing and kind of the whole story? Yeah. My story begins with a mother who's mother passed away at 13 days old. And I say that that's where my story begins because our story begins with our parents, really, and everything that they experienced in life. And since my mother didn't have her mother at 13 days old, then my mother was disconnected
Starting point is 00:01:47 from her feminine, her heart, and receiving the maternal energy of love. Well, when she had me, there was no way that she could pass or give to me, she never received. So I had a really deep feminine wound. I had a really deep heart wound. Then my father, my father was born to a father that disowned him from the day he was born because my father was the product of an affair. So my father didn't have that guidance, that leadership, that masculine energy. So there was no way that he could provide for me what he didn't have himself. So I immediately came into life with both of these woundings. And I, on an energetic basis, Tommy.
Starting point is 00:02:31 I didn't feel neither the love that my heart was looking for or the leadership that the boy in me was looking for. And what we do unconsciously is we create a story. And we create a story that something is wrong with us. And the only way that we can fix it is if we go out and fix it someday. So that's what I, all of this is unconscious, by the way, decided to do. I said, you know what? I know when I'm going to find love.
Starting point is 00:03:00 I'm going to find love when I get married. So I was this young guy who was always looking to get married, where everybody else was like, you know, screwing around. I wanted to get married. And when everyone else was partying, I wanted to build a business. Because I in my mind was looking for on a deep energetic level, significance, acceptance, and love through success, power, and relationships. And all of this was happening like at the deepest level of myself.
Starting point is 00:03:30 So I went out. I built a billion dollar a year real estate sales company. I had 400 realtors working for me in Southern California. We did 2,500 sales a year. I had it all a billion dollars in annual sales, 40 million in revenue. And one day, my mom passed it away. And she passed away from cancer. She passed away from lung cancer, never smoked.
Starting point is 00:03:55 day in her life. And when that happened, it's as if I finally, like, something happened. I was connected spiritually. And all of these questions started showing up that I had been afraid to answer my whole life. Number one, was I happy. I didn't want to answer that one because I knew I wasn't. Number two, was I in love. I didn't want to answer that one because I had been married for 13 years and I knew that I wasn't. And number three, did I love what I do? And I didn't want to answer that one because I knew I did it and that's where like life really shifted for me man and my spiritual journey began and um i discovered the reason why my mom died of lung cancer was because the lung is what holds grief and uh she was grieving her entire life not having her mother and so i just went into like understanding all
Starting point is 00:04:44 of life understanding god understanding why i was the way that i was and i awakened uh spiritually and uh That's what I help people do now. I help people to really, like, have it all in life. But the only way you're ever going to have it all in life is if you stop chasing and you start understanding that you are at all. So can I just break this down a little bit? Yeah. Today you're in Austin, not California. I mean, today you're in New York, but you reside in Austin.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Yeah, yeah. So let's go through this. Am I happy? Are you? Today? Yeah. Oh, you know, it's really interesting. The answer to that question is I'm more than happy.
Starting point is 00:05:33 I just am. And when you just are, there's nothing else that you really need to be. You're at peace. I think peace is more important than happiness. So I would say I'm a level deeper than happy. Yeah. Yeah, you know, I always say I'm happy and sad throughout the day. I would say, do I feel so excited to be on this earth.
Starting point is 00:05:59 I'm really like, I'm excited about life. There's this little video of this dog running in the beach. And he's like, come on, we only live once. Enjoy yourself. You only live once. And I love that video so much. But I'm just like every morning, I'm just so thankful. And I still feel like in my life so humble and a lot of humility.
Starting point is 00:06:21 and like, man, God's working in miracles in my life. So the next question is, am I in love because you were married 13 years? I'd love to hear a little bit about that. Yeah, there's no way, this is really important. There's no way you can ever fully love another human being, at least not to the level that love is available to us until you first go on the journey of loving yourself. Because you cannot give what you don't have and you cannot receive what you were afraid to receive. And a lot of us, what happens is that we never received love to the fullest capacity.
Starting point is 00:06:58 We received the version of our parents that was their absolute best with what they had. And that creates a wound. Yeah? And so what I did was the more and more that I healed and I went deep, deep, deep into connection with the spirit world. And I started to heal and release all of this energy. the more and more that I started to find peace and love within myself. And when that happened, I attracted my now wife. And yeah, again, I would say it's more than love.
Starting point is 00:07:30 It's, yeah, it's finally just being at peace with another human being while also understanding like the deep spiritual unraveling that's available to people when you are no longer in the energy of fear. So yeah. And the final one is do you love what you do? Because obviously real estate wasn't fulfilling. Yeah. I got a deep answer for that one.
Starting point is 00:08:00 When you clear all of the energy inside and you heal it, you no longer actually do anything. There's no longer any effort. There's no longer a goal. There's no longer anything to strive for. There's no longer anything that you're working towards. You're just being yourself. And your business and what you do is just a byproduct of who you are.
Starting point is 00:08:30 So if you were asked me, what do you do? I'm me. That's what I do. I just be me all day. And what comes from that, yeah, as a beautiful business where I get to help, you know, you know, millionaires and so many people from all over the world, like heal that little boy and little girl inside of them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:54 You know, you got me really thinking, and I don't want to take up too much time here because I got a million questions, but my dad came from a family at 12 and got the shit beat out of him his whole life by his, my grandpa. And my mom, grandma worked, she was on food stamps because grandpa left right after my mom was born.
Starting point is 00:09:18 And I think what they did is they changed the cycle, although they got a divorce when I was seven, but my dad was around. He quit drinking when I was born. And man, he was like my, in first grade, I said, everyone said, I want to be Superman. I want to be Batman. I said, I want to be my dad.
Starting point is 00:09:35 He was there. He was at every field trip. He was my soccer coach. He taught me how to golf, shoot a gun. And my mom, the reason I'm where I'm at today is no matter what my mom said, I love you no matter what. And I'm going to be there. And she was super feminine.
Starting point is 00:09:48 And I got both sides, at least through those critical years. And then it turned sideways. And I will tell you, the little boy, I still go back to that version, whether it's a Freudian thing. I don't know. But I'm still trying to prove something. I will say that. Like, the first thing is admitting you got a problem. And I will say there's this little boy in me that you talk about that I'm like,
Starting point is 00:10:09 this enough is never enough. And there's still a fear of loss because we lost everything. And no matter how much money it is, I mean, the company's done well, like, in every sense of the word. But I still people are like, when's enough enough? And I'm like, well, with AI and everything else. But where does somebody like me start? Hey, guys, just a quick heads up. Before we get back into it, we just added Tyson Chan founder of Avoca AI to the Freedom 2026 speaker lineup.
Starting point is 00:10:38 This guy's building the AI tools operators are using right now to catch every call. and book more jobs without hiring other CSRs. Believe me, you're gonna wanna hear what he's got in store for us. We've also made a massive bonus bundle that we're giving away free when you get a ticket to Freedom. It comes with my sales playbook, my marketing playbook, my recruiting playbook, and my $10 million exit guide. These are the exact systems I use to scale A1 to where it is today,

You also are going to get my full audio book, Elevate. The story of how I took A1 from a two-truck operation over $410 million of revenue in 40 markets. Using these strategies, no one else in the trades was even using yet. And you get every single session in recording from Freedom 20205.
Starting point is 00:11:32 That's Kevin O'Leary, Ellen Roared, Jim Leslie, myself, and many, many more. Freedom 202026 is October 26 through the 28th in Mandalay Bay. The offer is only available from now until August 31st, so don't wait. Go grab your ticket and lock in the bundle at freedom event.com or call us or text us at 602-581-7563. Don't sleep on this one, guys. It's the event that you're all going to want to be at. It's going to shape how you enter 2027 and beyond. I'm hoping to see you there.
Starting point is 00:12:03 Let's get back to this episode. Where does somebody like me start? First off, with what you just did, which was, was through courage. It takes a lot of courage, especially for us men, by the way, to tap into what's going on underneath, like, the show. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:12:25 And like be really vulnerable about that. And I would venture to say, brother, I would venture to say that if your dad got the shit beat out of him as a little boy, then in some way, shape, or form, that fear energy was literally like transmuted into you at a deep unconscious level. And if your mom and dad split up at seven, then the same way minds did, by the way, but our masculine and feminine energy split.
Starting point is 00:13:00 And when our masculine and feminine energy split, here's what happens. The masculine is all about like going, going, doing, executing, planning, you know. and the feminine is all about receiving. So when we are in a state of like when is enough enough, the reason why I said never is because it literally never will be enough because the wounded feminine in you doesn't trust. It doesn't trust because at some point in time, you created a story that it wasn't safe to trust.
Starting point is 00:13:34 You were let down. And that's part of what we help people to do is to go into that because here's the greatest thing that you and all entrepreneurs need to know if we're always going and if we're always searching and if we're always trying, then we're never here. Yeah, be where your feet are. Yeah, you're never where you're at. It's like you can never enjoy the moment. That's right. That's right. As much as we try and listen, man, I've been there. Like, you know, you read the books, you go to the events, you do all of that stuff. It doesn't ever actually change until you heal the energy.
Starting point is 00:14:15 And that's what the book is going to help you do, is to heal the energy by having a spiritual experience. You're going to literally connect to your ancestors. You're going to connect to God in the most deepest way you ever have in your life, not because of the book. And this is really important. Tommy, is that we are so used to, like, looking at life like this, like, can you show me? Can you give me the answer? But it's the same way we're looking for peace and fulfillment and success, right? It's out there, out there, out there, right?
Starting point is 00:14:54 It's really important that every human that is listening to me understands that the answer is within you. Yeah. All the book is going to do is going to do like this, that that onion. that is you that has layers upon layers of protection around your heart, it's just going to start to peel it little by little, little by little, little by little. And then in chapter six, brother,
Starting point is 00:15:17 you're going to lay down in your room somewhere, close your eyes. I'm going to lead you through breathwork. And you're going to get ready, man. You're going to have an experience that's going to change your life forever. Yeah. So it doesn't involve ayahuasca. I'm just kidding. No, no.
Starting point is 00:15:31 And let's talk about that. it's why I started my work because I was that guy bro that I used to talk shit about ayahuasca I was highly religious I said it was the devil the antichrist I would look down on you if I did it like all of that stuff
Starting point is 00:15:51 and then when all these questions started appearing to me you know when my mom passed away I thought to myself like I mean I was going through a divorce I was going through a lot of things. I started thinking to myself, I'm going nowhere fast. And, you know, I've been judging this thing and quite honestly,
Starting point is 00:16:10 afraid of it, afraid of it. Like, what if there's something there for me? And I went and I went back and I went back and I went back and I went back. Where did you go? Well, now we do this for our, we have a place in Colombia. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, and I finally got to that point because I just don't, energy is a very important thing. And I just want to make sure that if I ever refer anything, not only are you just going to have an experience,
Starting point is 00:16:45 but you're going to be a part of a container for an entire year that helps you unravel and heal everything at the deepest layers. So yeah. I watched my dad, he's a little bit younger than me when he went through it because he never remembered anything. and he comes back home. And this is when they were still married. And I just remember him broken. Because he remembered everything, being locked in the basement, all these little things. And he had shut those points out.
Starting point is 00:17:11 And so for me, I know there's something in there. I don't know. And I was talking to Gino Wickman about this. And Dan Martell, actually, he's like, the best coach I could ever give you is go through this process. And the thought process is, I'm like, man, I see people go through this. And maybe it's a healing experience. And I think the biggest part of a lot of people is, what if you lose that drive? But everybody I've talked to says you don't lose it.
Starting point is 00:17:38 It actually, like, it continues. I want to answer that. I would hope that you do lose it. And this is really important. Ambition is not your natural state. Ambition is a wound. you learned ambition when you learned that at some i don't know when it was that you were not enough and ambition is what came out of that experience it's what has us constantly going out there
Starting point is 00:18:12 and searching for the next thing yeah it's a dopamine rush i mean it's that's exactly everybody i hang out with though i guess i'm a person like like look unfortunately i will say Like the guys I talk to every day, there's about seven of us. We push each other forward, but it's still like, it's still talking shit comparison. Like, I don't care if it's on the golf course. I don't care if we play Golden T or Big Buck Hunter go shooting. I don't care if it's business, but it's this constant. And it's a male thing because I don't see this.
Starting point is 00:18:45 Women, like, when we're talking, we're like, the good news is, is I've hung out with women my whole life. My grandma, my mom, my sister was in my house every day. And I watched him talk, and it was always something, in my opinion, that was just something wrong. Like, oh, yeah, well, he's never doing this, and this is what's wrong with the country. But when I get around guys, it's more of, like, competition and just telling jokes and stuff. And I just remember thinking when I was a kid, man, can't you guys talk about anything positive? And I was like, I don't even want to be around. And I'm like a kid.
Starting point is 00:19:19 But I just remember, like, it was like someone's husband and this and that. And I still get around. Look, I know this is not where we're going with this podcast, but I'm like, man, I'm around certain people and I'm like, let's, let's just, let's be positive. Let's talk about what's, what they're good at. Well, they can't. They can't because they are unconsciously living in fear consciousness. And fear consciousness uses victim consciousness to keep people stuck and always looking for what's wrong. out there. So that's where their focus is. Now, Tommy, think about this for a second. Think about being a human being
Starting point is 00:20:01 whose whole energy being and existence is focused on what's going on out there. When you awaken spiritually, nothing that is happening out there even concerns you because it doesn't vibrate at the same frequency that you are at. And so like, I don't know what's going on in the world. I don't know. I know people are always like caught up on it and like they're pissed off about it. But if you really look at it, something's always going on in the world, you know? So it's never about what's going on in the world. It's always about how you choose to connect with. And if you choose to allow your energy to focus on what's going on in the world, that's the difference. That's the difference. And when when you say, you know, rightfully so, by the way, you know, the women are, that's just their wounded feminine.
Starting point is 00:20:53 they're there that's what they say they're actually just afraid that's what it is when you hear i hear a lot and i've heard this explain and i think i know what it is but you could probably give me and the audience a better answer is when you're at a certain vibration a certain energy you kind of like i always say like why do these great people come into my life like it's all the time like out of nowhere i always get the answer uh and i always walk into the right room i'm I'm always at the right place at the right time. Like, I really feel like that. Like, I'm blessed.
Starting point is 00:21:26 I do think, like, in general, I wake up and I'm excited about life. And CEO is a really lonely position because I got to be different than everybody. When we're doing great, I got to bring us back down to Earth. When we're doing bad, I got to pretend like we're doing great. It's a lonely position. But when you're at a certain vibration and energy, what does that do when you're elevated, when you're at the right frequency? Well, like attracts like.
Starting point is 00:21:53 You know, I actually go deep into this in the book. Everything in life, every human being on the planet, every thought that you think, everything vibrates at a certain frequency. And there are three different levels of energy. There is fear-based consciousness, okay, which is the lower levels. And at the lowest of the low is the energies of the energy. guilt and shame. Guilt says, I did something wrong. Shame says, I am wrong. And the issue with this is that the human soul cannot coexist with shame. So what happens, brother, and this is probably what happened
Starting point is 00:22:42 with your dad and your grandparents, is that when a human being has unprocessed shame, and no one is there to guide them and show them how to deal with it, they turn that shame into an energy that they can deal with, anger, because anger gives them power. And they take that power out on those that are defenseless. This is when we get our parents, our grandparents that, like, beat kids, et cetera. It's, you know, underneath all the pain is a loving human being. It's just a sign of unprocessed trauma. Okay. I'm going to take it to the next level, though. We're still in the negative vibrations. Just above is the energy of desire.
Starting point is 00:23:29 And this is where most entrepreneurs live because they desire something. It sounds like it's good. And it is because it's way better than shame and guilt, but you're still in the vibration of desire. Like, have you ever looked at a tree? A tree doesn't desire anything. The tree just is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:53 And so up above desire is pride. And then up above pride is the second energy. And that's courage. What courage allows us to do when we vibrate at courage is it allows us to look at our past, to look at the energy that we're living from, to look at everything we've created and start to ask ourselves like, wait a minute. Is this actually fulfilling me? Am I actually happy?
Starting point is 00:24:22 Like, why am I doing this? What's the real motivation? Yeah? And then that is the bridge that brings us into higher vibration. And this is where life really gets interesting. Because when you're in fear, vibration, you're just in the mind. You're in the protection of the ego. And the mind is always trying to get somewhere, be somewhere, stop you, defend you, protect you.
Starting point is 00:24:46 That's the mind, right? Well, once you go above courage, you have the courage to return to the heart. And that's when you enter energies like acceptance, where you just accept everything that is. You accept your current paradigm. And finally, you reach levels like love and enlightenment. And I'll just give you two examples to show you what's possible. You can remember Bob Marley? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:14 Yeah, he died. Everybody obviously does. Yeah. Bob Marley, if you ever watched the movie, they were there trying to kill the guy. And they were telling him, don't go to this concert, don't go to this concert.
Starting point is 00:25:24 And what do he do? He went to the concert. And he grabbed the hands of both oppositions. He held them together. And what do he say? He said, we are all one. That's because he was vibrating at love. And that's why,
Starting point is 00:25:37 whenever you hear Bob Marley's song, what do you do? You smile. Every little thing is going to be all right, right? You just can't, because, because the, music is vibrating at the level in which he lived his life from yeah so that's that's one thing well now we'll take it to jesus because what jesus was um just like buddha just like promenza
Starting point is 00:26:01 yogananda jesus reached enlightenment and enlightenment the god view of enlightenment is i am that's what he was walking around telling everyone so when when when the when the when the religious people back then were trying to crucify him and say, like, they say you say you're God. Who are you? And how do he respond? I am that I am. He responded it that way because he knew they were just trying to set him up. And he knew he was vibrating as such a high consciousness that no matter what words he said, they weren't going to understand.
Starting point is 00:26:39 They were going to process his words from their level of fear, anger, and hate. So he just said, I am that I am because that was the truth. When you reach enlightenment, you are one with God. And for those of you that are entrepreneurs, here's what I have discovered. You will make way more money and half of the effort. You'll have way better love with your partner and with your children when you go on the healing journey and go raise your vibration. And that's what the book is going to help you do.
Starting point is 00:27:11 I love this. I got goosebumps. I like that song, by the way. I need to listen to more Bob Marley. Yeah, man, it's good. You said that as a society, we've been bamboozled in thinking that purpose is only about action. That's right.
Starting point is 00:27:27 And I agree with that. And I think that's probably what people discusses the American dream, which I think is the best marketing anyone could ever have done. Is the American dream is you can make it. But what does make it really mean? You know, when I go to eat dinner, it's about 15 minutes tops. And I know in like Italy, which my family's from, they'll sit down for three hours.
Starting point is 00:27:58 Except I eat food just to eat because I'm not like this guy. It's like, man, I could really go for lasagna or spaghetti. Like I enjoy it. But it's interesting to me because we live in this world of like, man, there's a million things coming out. us now with AI and there's marketing everywhere and there's social media and you're looking for those little dopamine hits. Tell me a little bit about explaining that purpose isn't driven by action. Well, when you are in the fear of the mind and you are in only you're masculine, you're out
Starting point is 00:28:42 of balance because you're disconnected from your ability to attract and receive. I'm going to venture to say half of the people that are probably listening right now are like the old me. I was, I was, I'll sleep when I die. I'm up at 4.30. I'm hitting the gym. I'm prospecting on the phones. I'm getting my like, you know, you just constantly doing something, right?
Starting point is 00:29:04 That's how, that's all great. But it's just a sign that you're disconnected from a different part of you. You're disconnected from the part of you that when you go on a beach, you just want to to relax. You're disconnected from the part of you that when you're in Italy, you want to have a three-hour meal. As a matter of fact, I'm going to venture to say that most of the people will feel very fucking uncomfortable if there was a three-hour meal because they wouldn't know how to just sit there, just be there, you know? And so when you think about purpose, when we are in only our masculine, we correlate purpose with doing. When I get there, when I achieve this,
Starting point is 00:29:37 when I become this, when I buy the car, when I get the what, when I make the, when I make the, when So my question is what happens if all of that were to go away? I don't want to get too deep, but this is where people commit suicide. Because the purpose was always out there. The purpose and the meaning to life was always in the chase. The purpose was all about being relentless. That's a wound. And I'll tell you why it's a wound.
Starting point is 00:30:09 Because you weren't like that when you were a little boy. No, you're right. You weren't like that. None of us were. Yeah. None of us were. We for sure weren't like that when we were in our mother's wound. Womb.
Starting point is 00:30:21 And if you just think, Tommy, if you just think, Tommy, let's just talk real here. If you just think a hundred years ago, right? 100 years ago, 1926, what was life like? It was us, animals, and nature. And I can bet you, we didn't have. nearly as much connection to the energy of purpose and ambition because all of that shit got created when we downloaded the story that being us wasn't enough and so that's why purpose can't just be about doing because if it is then what
Starting point is 00:31:04 you're actually saying is you're disconnected from being you know I I make it a point to get eight hours sleep. And I used to be that guy years ago. Then I realized, man, I live so much better when I get my sleep. I think more clearly. So that's one thing I have accomplished. You know, I was I was with a guy, a mentor of mine. His name's Cameron Harold. And he goes, what do you love to do? And he goes, don't you effing tell me that you love to work. He goes, because that, I don't even want to hang out with somebody like that. He goes, what'd you love to do when you were 12? He goes, do you like to golf? Do you like to go skiing? Do you, you know, do you like to jump out of a plane and parachute?
Starting point is 00:31:45 And it's so crazy when you meet entrepreneurs. They're like, what if I told you I enjoy working? He's like, that's a bullshit answer. Well, I would tell you that's the perfect answer for where they're at energetically. And it's also a perfect mirror to show you there's some things to heal. Because if what you enjoy to do is to work. And by the way, I want to make no quorums about this. When you look on social media, you see most of the people that we look up to that are entrepreneurs, they don't sit still.
Starting point is 00:32:22 We got we got guys making $50 million the next morning talking about like I got to wake up at 4.30 in the morning. I'm telling you right now, that's someone with some deep shit that they've yet to heal. That is that is not the way that we are created. And what I'm offering to people is what would it? look like if you had the money and the success and the peace and the connection. In other words, many of us, especially if us men that are that are, that are like, you know, A type personalities. Driven. Yeah, driven. If we can be honest, we're so on the go that like we love our wives, but like sometimes we don't want to be. Sometimes we just, we want to go play golf. We want to go to
Starting point is 00:33:06 the business. We want to go. And that's an avoidance of connection is. that is. Let me ask you a question about time because I was always told on your calendar. And some of the stuff is call your mom. I mean, if it's on my calendar, it gets done, right? So like, I look at someone's calendar and I'm like, they're methodical. They guard their time. And then I realize the most successful people, the Jeff Bezos and maybe like Oprah, their time is dedicated to themselves. They don't start their day. I mean, they start early, but they're doing yoga and they're reading their newspaper. And they make decisions for about three hours in the day.
Starting point is 00:33:44 And they barely, it's not a busy. They're not like, man, my calendar slammed. And so I think when you get great, you got a busy-ass calendar. When you get exceptional, the calendar starts to get less blocked. What is your take on time and calendars? My mentor. Well, first off, I don't want to get too woo-woo on you guys, but time doesn't exist. Time is an illusion that was created.
Starting point is 00:34:12 Like, while you and I are talking, when we're in it and present, we're not thinking about time. So that's step number one. Step number two, I'll tell you what my mentor taught me that blew my mind. He says, Danny, you want to have it all? And I said, yeah. And he says, all right, here's the key to having it all. Make as much money as you want. Just don't ever work more than 20 hours a week to make it.
Starting point is 00:34:39 And Tommy, when he told me that, I literally was like, wait, wait, what? Like, how? That's impossible. There's no way. There's no way, right? So then he says, he says, split your day into thirds. The first third of your day is for you. Literally, you do not start work till 11 a.m. The second third of your day is for business. You work from about 11 till 2, 11 till 3.
Starting point is 00:35:13 And the third, third of your day is for your family and your sweetheart. Now, when he told me that, I'm just one of those kind of guys that once someone tells me something that makes sense, I'm like, damn, like, that would be really cool if I could do that. Like, I may not know how I'm going to do it, but if that's available, that's what I want. Tommy, when you really start to like allow yourself to think, who would I have to be, to be the kind of guy that could split his day into three thirds. And what kind of business would I have to create? And who would I have to hire? And who would I have to become?
Starting point is 00:36:01 You know what I'm saying? You start asking all the right questions. Yeah. Tommy, by the time I was done with real estate, we were doing a billion in annual sales and I was working the business three hours a week. It was fully 100% delegated. And to this day, man, like,
Starting point is 00:36:19 I just will not give up my peace, my essence, my time with my family. I just won't give it up. When that's your priority, that's when you have it all. You know, I just turned 43 and I got a file that's loaded up of my life at 45 because I've made prior obligations to people. But I never respected somebody that says I work 70 hours. And when I told myself, I used to tell myself, man, whoever, who could outwork each other?
Starting point is 00:36:50 Then I said, wait a minute. What if we eliminated all the bullshit? We automated the rest and then delegated the rest. And now I'm like, time and productivity does not, it doesn't happen behind a desk. and a lot of people still think, man, I remember one of my mentors, this was a long time ago and I work with him today, but he goes, I have three. He goes, I split my work day into three. He goes, I work 18 hours a day, so from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. is one day. And then the next six hours is another day.
Starting point is 00:37:23 And then I just thought to myself when I heard that, is that something you're proud of? Because that is like ridiculous. That is like, it's like you're bragging all over the world that you could outwork everybody. But what if you could actually train? I hire for, here's the biggest thing I learned, Danny, is I took my pride away and I took my ego out of it. And I started hiring people that are far better at this certain thing that I'll ever be. And by the way, I admitted that to myself. And I said, what am I really good?
Starting point is 00:37:52 Well, I'm good at getting the answers. I'm pretty good at finding great people that I could count on. I'm pretty good at giving trust. My mom goes, how can you trust anybody? take advantage of you. I'm like, well, they're thinking from their point of view, but you're thinking from my point of view. Like, 98% of the time, we got to work together and they got to win in the process. And so it comes from like this, this non-ego. And when you get your ego, your ego is not your amigo. So I got three questions for you that I ask on every podcast. What's one piece of game
Starting point is 00:38:25 changing advice that you wish you knew in your 20s? That what I'm searching for is not out there. It's in here. And that the money, the success, the business, the anything will never fulfill you. Never. And I'll give you another one. And that's that you're a soul having a human experience. And you may have heard that before. But when you really start to resonate with that, then you go all in on healing that soul.
Starting point is 00:38:58 And when you heal that soul, you heal the money. You literally attract better clients. you make more, you spend more time with your family, that's when you can have it all. Yeah. If you, this is probably, this is an interesting one. If you had to start over with $10 million tomorrow, what would you do with it? Oh, wow. I would go buy a piece of land in the Dominican Republic.
Starting point is 00:39:28 I would build a home there. And I would build a healing resort. and fly people in from all over the world every week to heal their hearts and lead them through ayahuasca mushroom ceremonies and help them to reconnect to their essence and to life. That's what I would do. Let me ask you something about ayahuasca and trumes. I feel like you're probably at your most vulnerable state. You're searching. You're opening up with treasure full of emotion and stuff you might have shut down.
Starting point is 00:40:04 And there needs to be a level. they say don't bring you don't do it with your loved ones because it's very private and eventually you could probably do it with them but like I don't know what's going to come out and I'm not afraid to be embarrassed but it's like a super like you don't know and I've heard that you don't you you want to be around strangers nobody that knows you you don't want to bring all your best friends to that what what does that look like yeah remember earlier I started saying that's why I don't refer anything, anyone anymore, because it's also just very energetic.
Starting point is 00:40:41 And when it's done the right way, it'll be the most loving experience of your entire life. So what I've created is my inner circle. And there's about 80 people, all entrepreneurs, and they come with one purpose. And that's, we have the money, but we don't have the balance and the love. And like, we're kind of,
Starting point is 00:41:05 sick and tired of being sick and tired. And so we travel the world, have a fun time, but also when they're ready, we do ceremonies only together. So now the opposite side of that, Tommy, is that if you want to feel really safe and really comfortable to like let it all come out. That's the most important thing is that you feel held and you know that the people there are going to support you and hold you while what comes out needs to come out. And as long as you have that, you could do it with family. You could do it with friends. The key is the intention.
Starting point is 00:41:44 Like what I recommend to everybody is, you know, if you ever do anything like this, make sure you get clear with your doctor, make sure it's right for you. You know, find the right people to hold you in the ceremonial space. But more than anything, have an intention. God, why am I, why am I such a workaholic? Yep. What am I afraid of? Like, when did I start being anxious?
Starting point is 00:42:14 Why do I drink so much? Why am I hooked on porn? Why can I love my wife? Why do I have a hard time connecting with my kids? All of that, you can heal, all of it. That's awesome. What's your biggest professional dream at the moment? I don't think I have one anymore, man.
Starting point is 00:42:34 I just I just want to meet wonderful people and when they're ready to heal their hearts, just be a safe place for them to do that. That's that's it. I just, you know, this isn't for everybody, but for who, but for the people that have heard this and be like, hey, this makes sense. Yeah. You just pick up the book and let the journey begin. A lot of people, and you know this, they get stuck.
Starting point is 00:43:05 in this victimhood mentality. You often remind people that life is happening for us, not to us. Yeah. Can you dive into that a little bit? Yeah, I guess I'll end it with this. You know, if you think back to my story where I said that my mom didn't know how to give me love and my dad didn't know how to be a dad, remember that? Well, when we're in resistance, we look back at what happened to the past.
Starting point is 00:43:35 And we wish it was different. And we compare and we hold anger and resentment. And when you finally get to a place of acceptance, you start to realize, like, I literally wouldn't be the man that I am today. I wouldn't have gone on the journey of healing my heart. I would have never written the book. I would have never met you. If it wasn't for my mom's mom dying 13 days after her birth
Starting point is 00:44:04 and my dad disowning him. So in other words, everything, when you shift your vibration, everything that you once used to like be mad at at the deepest parts of yourself, now become a beautiful, perfect part of your journey. And that's when you're free, bro, is when you can let go of all of that negative energy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:25 And where do we pick up the book? Awakenbook.com or just go on Amazon and type in Awaken Your Highestown. himself. I would just say be ready. It's going to be a deep journey. You're going to cry. You're going to remember. It'll change your life. Did you read the audio version? I did. It's already out there. Yeah. Okay, great. Some of us are out. I like both audible. And then if someone wants to reach out, go ahead. Yeah, I was going to say get both. That's normally, like if you're doing that and it's, it's really cool. It's really cool. And if somebody want to reach out to you, is it just
Starting point is 00:45:02 go to Awakenbook.com and just look for your email or LinkedIn or how do you like to? No, Instagram. You know, I know you probably got a lot of like, you know, I, I know I know I, I know the message is going to resonate with some people and some things are going to come up. And I'm here to help you guys out. Just message me on Instagram and I'll point you in the right direction. Daddy, I really love this podcast, man. it really hit home on a lot of levels.
Starting point is 00:45:33 So I can't wait to pick up the book and I really appreciate you jumping on today. Thanks, man. Thanks, man. Thanks for having me. You're a cool dude. Appreciate you.
