Starting point is 00:00:00 Real talk. Real talk. Real talk. Real talk. Don't mess with me today. Welcome to the Hope Hotline. Today's a little rough, people. Before I got here, I was telling the girls, my life is over as I know it. Yeah, as you know it. Not
Starting point is 00:00:36 literally in Jesus' name over. Right, of course not. It's going to be rough. I made the big mistake. I'm just going to bare my soul. Do it. It's time. I made the big mistake of getting on a nutritionist phone call today with a group of people. Barely highly nutritional. I am not, for the record. So you know how that phone call went.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Not great. It did not go well. I sat quietly. That was smart. It was on energy drinks and caffeine. Actually, it was on caffeine. And anybody who knows me, I have a high level of intake of caffeine.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Same. Apparently, you're not supposed to drink caffeine past noon. Did you know that? What? Come on. Who said that? The owner the of the gym that sounds like not on tiktok it also takes like five glasses of water to rehydrate your body from each okay shut up sarah because i feel like i'm back on the phone call it was not good i literally am devastated i. I'm sorry. That's very sad. It's not good. I think there's freedom in Christ.
Starting point is 00:01:48 I have not had the chance to look up that you can drink any or you can eat anything deadly and it will not harm you. I got it. The problem is, when I think about that, that's true. Yeah. But it doesn't mean that you ain't going to gain weight. You know, I hope. It's the macros. The macros are killing me.
Starting point is 00:02:09 You don't have to take us down with this. Okay, so listen. First of all, I'm hindered by the macros. Very. And then they took away my caffeine. It's not okay. So you take away my caffeine. Oh, what did I do?
Starting point is 00:02:22 Knock it out. I must have undid myself. I don't know. I can't hear you guys. No caffeine at all is what they're do? Knock it out. I must have undid myself. I don't know. I can't hear you guys. No caffeine at all is what they're saying. I'm connected. Why can't I hear you? Not even a cup.
Starting point is 00:02:32 There you're back. I'm hindered by my mind. What happened? I don't know. I don't know. I just had to throw it, and it worked. Oh, God bless. Maybe it's the little piece.
Starting point is 00:02:40 I threw it, and it worked. So I'm hindered by my eating. Now, I mean, like, as of Friday of last week, I don't know what it's doing. I'm good now, girl. Friday, I started eating. I was eating pretty good, but now it's very stringent. And, like, I have to report everything in my phone so it can be. I feel like big brothers watching me. I really do.
Starting point is 00:03:08 And now I find out today that I can't have caffeine. Like zero milligrams, not even a cup of coffee, black coffee. You can have coffee, but like you have to stop by noon. And then even that is within reason. I don't drink. I really don't drink very much coffee. What's the advantage? What did they say? Like what was the pro that you were like? I don't drink, I really don't drink very much coffee. What's the advantage? What did they say?
Starting point is 00:03:27 Like, what was the pro that you were like? I don't like when you're like that. I didn't, I didn't get that far. Because I sat quietly, you know,
Starting point is 00:03:36 because I was saying nothing. She's going out. No, the first woman only drinks tea in the morning and then she drinks green tea in the afternoon.
Starting point is 00:03:46 That is so. It's decaffeinated bless right bless her heart then they got to the second person and listen if i could have reached through that phone i would have wrapped my little knobby fingers around her neck she drinks nothing she drinks nothing she drinks no coffee, no tea, no soda, no nothing. I was thinking to myself, where's the pleasures in life? That's what I'm saying. Where's the pleasures in life? Sarah's just smiling at me.
Starting point is 00:04:17 So, I'm sitting there quietly and I don't know how many people are on this call, but I know it's a group session. And they can't really see me so because i've hidden myself like you know like made the camera not look at me so the owner's like well we haven't really heard from you hope this whole entire conversation she's awesome and this is like supposed to be a no judge judgment zone judgment free zone so i'm thinking well i was telling the girls i'm like i can't lie like
Starting point is 00:04:49 what am i gonna do like i can't lie right so i'm in a judgment free zone so i'm like okay well you know here we go well i'm like thinking to say, well, I don't really drink very much coffee, you know, I don't, but I drink a lot of caffeine and they're like, okay. And I'm like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:05:12 what, what, what's the, what's, what's the thing on Red Bull? And all I hear is, oh, hope.
Starting point is 00:05:19 I get, there goes the judgment. Yeah, exactly. The judgment free is gone. Gone. They're very, very sweet though. They are.
Starting point is 00:05:26 They're the best. They're only concerned for my safety and my health. Oh, wow. But you know, I know how dear they are. I know. So then they were talking about Alani's, which is my go-to. I love my Alani's. Yep.
Starting point is 00:05:37 So, and then she says, well, we all know that nobody's really doing pre-workout. So, I mean mean and i'm like i have to unmute myself well that's not true they're like no way and i'm like never yes way how do you get through those workouts without it uh uh yeah right it's not like you expect me to do all that right without pre-workout in my system have you washed your mind? Exactly. I can barely crawl out of bed the next morning after the workout from the following day.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Exactly. Like, I'm telling you. I know. I changed my whole system. Not that you guys care and we're six minutes in, but I'm baring my soul. Yeah. No, it's important. It's Friday.
Starting point is 00:06:20 I upped my game this week. I'm in a whole new, like, I switched over to a whole new system. Same gym. Like, I switched rooms. I'm in a whole new, like I switched over to a whole new system. Same gym. Like I switched rooms. I'm doing a whole new thing. And it's killing me. I bet. I bet.
Starting point is 00:06:34 It's more individualized, right? My face has never been redder. I've never sweated so much harder. And I'm in literal pain. I had Norma rub Icy hot all down my back before podcast today i walked in after my shower i said rub down please she's like where i'm all over everywhere everywhere yep it's bad guys but good but not good so my life is over. It's a Friday. I have no pleasures for the weekend. Well, I don't even know.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Like, do I lie? A lie of omission and not put down what I just ate? Because you brought me an acai, Vanessa. Like, am I going to report that? I don't know. It saved my life. I think you need to. I was in deep depression.
Starting point is 00:07:24 The acai. I was like, do I eat it or do I not? I'm eating it. Yeah. I mean, it's not know. Yeah. It saved my life. I think you need to. I was in deep depression. The acai. I was like, do I eat it or do I not? I'm eating it. Yeah. I mean, it's not crack. Yeah. You know what I mean? Right.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Right. It's not heroin. Is it really not? Because I mean, seriously. It's an acai bowl. Yeah. It's just acai. I think that's great.
Starting point is 00:07:37 It's the best. I would be proud of myself for eating that versus. So many antioxidants. So many. So many. So many. You picked the wrong people for your team, so it's your own fault. No, I have the right team.
Starting point is 00:07:49 The right team is saying, go for it, sister. Go for it. Oh, I'm just not saying anything right now. I know, because you agree with everything that the nutritionist said. I know. That's the reason why. So you can just. But like I told her, I said, they were like, well, you know the stuff.
Starting point is 00:08:06 I said, yeah. Be a hearer. And you have to be a doer. I choose to be just the hearer. Same. And therefore are deceived. I know. That's what it says.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Be not just a hearer of the word, but be a doer. But it doesn't say, or be not that deceived. But it goes on to be, otherwise you are deceived if you don't. But how does that go? How does the rest of it go? Be a hearer of the word. Don't be a hearer of the word, but a doer. For thereby you are deceived, I think is how it goes,
Starting point is 00:08:35 or something like that. You deceive yourself. Or you deceive. How does it say? The version that I remember. Is that King James? I'm looking up King James. Or you deceive yourself.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Is that what it says? But be a doer of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourself. There you go. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror. For he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. Yeah, I listened to that scripture yesterday. That's one of my favorite scriptures, not that whole thing,
Starting point is 00:09:07 but to not just be a hearer but a doer because that's life in general. Most people are only hearers. They are not doers. So I have to pick. What am I going to do? Hear only or do? This is why I never worked out before. Tom used to say,
Starting point is 00:09:25 you need to work out. Like you would love it, Hope. And I'm like, yeah, but then you have to eat right. And I do not love that part. Oh, well, Logan said, Hope is making strides. She used to say she'd never go to the gym.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Small beginnings, which are big beginnings because it's been a year, a whole year. That's impressive. Yeah, that's true. Very true. I'm very sad.
Starting point is 00:09:47 I feel bad for you. Because I'm doing this by myself. Yes, I do. I feel a little sorry for you. It's the Sunday thing because Sunday's my cheat day. I know. Wait, so is there like a time frame? You can't get a cheat day?
Starting point is 00:10:03 Yeah, I know. Is this like four weeks no cheat? Like, what is it? No, it's life forever no cheat. Thank you, Sarah. No. That's what they say. Life forever no cheat?
Starting point is 00:10:14 Life forever no cheating. That's ridiculous. I don't subscribe. I feel like you're setting yourself up for it. Yeah, not success. Look at Sarah in the back. But if you look at it Christianity-wise, I mean, seriously,
Starting point is 00:10:28 and this is part of my problem here. I'm like, either you make the change and you do it right, or you live a mediocre kind of healthy lifestyle. I mean, like, do I? I don't. There's very few things in life that I don't. i go i go in all way right all the way so like is that's why i came in i was depressed because i'm like life as i know it is over potentially highly probable like maybe not i don't know i mean i got some decisions to make there is some bible Bible verses, too, you know, that say, like, you know, now the Lord is
Starting point is 00:11:09 the spirit. And where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And this doesn't feel like freedom to me. So, but you be you. Sarah's looking at me like, don't listen to her. I got a bad angel and a good angel on my shoulder. Listen, you be you. I really don't know which one is which.
Starting point is 00:11:20 It could be Sarah's the bad one. What? I think so. And Tracy's the good one. I think so. Or vice versa. I think that's Sarah be Sarah's the bad one. What? I think so. And Tracy's the good one. I think so. Or vice versa. It could be. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Sarah's being very quiet. Well, because I don't really want to, I try not to upset people. I might cry. So please don't. But see, I'm not afraid of eating the wrong thing because of cancer and all that crap. No, that's not why I would do it.
Starting point is 00:11:42 I'm not afraid of I've subscribed to like... Your body is the temple though. But there you go. Do I take care of myself? Right. Yes. I don't know if I want to. You do. We don't want to. It's our flesh saying I really like that. I really like to be
Starting point is 00:11:59 able to eat whatever I want. And drink what I want. And drink what I want. But the Bible also says they will pick up snakes with their hands and when they drink deadly poison it will not hurt them at all. So should we go pick up a snake on purpose? I have.
Starting point is 00:12:10 That's what the scripture actually means. And then it also says they will place their hands on the sick people and they will be made well. So even if I got sick, I would go to hope
Starting point is 00:12:17 and you would lay hands on me and I would be made well. Yeah, but that's what that's what that's like. But then if you keep eating like crap, like why should you, you're not going to retain
Starting point is 00:12:25 but it's not just but let's see that's the that's the like all or nothing healing but the thing is be hot or cold hot or cold where is all or nothing treating your body this is why i was being quiet but here's the thing i here's the thing i subscribe more to sarah than i do and even if i don't follow through i still still agree with Sarah more. Because your body is the temple and we're to honor it. It was given to us. So that doesn't mean that you treat it poorly.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Right, for sure. I mean, surely, I mean, sure you can drink any deadly poison. Okay, the scripture about the snake and stuff like that is not really what it pertains to specifically because back in that time they walked around and they were surrounded by
Starting point is 00:13:12 vipers and reptiles. That's what that pertained to. And when it says you can eat any deadly thing, so the food back then was not preserved. Exactly. Anything that there was you could have eaten back then was not preserved. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Anything that there was, you could have eaten back then. But now it's like some of the foods that are legal here in the United States, they're illegal overseas because people know that they're actually poisoning us. And that's why our kids all have ADHD. It's like it's a huge problem. And that's why the Food and drug administration is all the same because they're poisoning us so yeah we can eat the poison and we won't have any harm but should we do it on purpose if we know it and when you're a conspiracy theorist you're like well they're poisoning us by putting stuff in our air and chemtrails so you're just like whatever you know
Starting point is 00:14:01 what i mean like what do you do yeah? Yeah, but I totally agree with you. I agree with you. But the thing is, is even though they're doing it to us, it's not me doing it to myself. There's a difference. Like that involuntarily is happening. Right. What I stick in my mouth is voluntarily me doing it.
Starting point is 00:14:19 Okay. There is a difference. It's just like sin. And it's just like your Christian walk. So then the next thing walk so then you go after your christian walk to the highest level yes or do you just kind of do it in mediocrity and then usually if you do anything in mediocrity you're not going to be successful and if you are not gaining ground then you you'll only stay at the same place for a short period of time and then you're going backwards yes so i have to wrap my mind around is this the same thing to me because literally everything i do
Starting point is 00:14:52 if i test it and i see that it is what i want to do then i go in hog wild right if i decide that it's not then i don't so just got to figure it out for myself. You do, for sure. That's why I said to the person that owns our gym, who was leading the nutritional talk, I said to her, you got your work cut out for you. I texted her. She's going to earn her money.
Starting point is 00:15:20 She told me she's been in the industry for a very long time, Sarah, and she can handle it. If anyone can do it, Carrie can. That's true. That is true. Very true. But that's my dilemma. That's why I'm sad. I know. I feel bad for you. I don't know if I'm going to make it.
Starting point is 00:15:37 I'm excited for you. I don't feel bad. I don't know if I'm going to make it. You will. But you know what? The thing is, I'm going to make it. You will. But you know what? The thing is, I'm going to try. Yeah, exactly. I'm not promising. I'm going to do baby steps.
Starting point is 00:15:51 I'm not a cold turkey kind of person. No, you're not. Yeah. I don't think I could do cold turkey. So I'm going to start learning, and then we'll go from there. Perfect. I love that idea. Whether or not I can do it is another story. I'm not telling you people, though. If I don't make it, the only way you're going to start learning and then we'll go from there. Perfect. I love that idea. Whether or not I can do it is another story.
Starting point is 00:16:06 I'm not telling you people, though. If I don't make it, the only way you're going to know is if you see something in my hand. No, you'll tell us. No, I'm not really going to tell you. Are you sure? No, I'm not. I'm going to save this clip. Can you remind me what time this was?
Starting point is 00:16:18 You can save this clip all you want to. But I'm going to sit on that phone call. I'm going to sit quietly. If I'm successful, then I'll want to sit on that phone call. I'm going to sit quietly. Well, then if I'm successful, then I'll want to tell you. So that's not going to work. Saving the clip. Go ahead, Tracy.

And so the end of the month, right before Talia turns 18, birthday girl, we will be having our next dare to be meeting and it is going to be amazing. I know it, know it, know it. Hey, so let me tell you about this.
Starting point is 00:18:45 So Dare to Be, I just got it all confirmed this morning with Erin. We will be having live worship and it will be live streamed. Oh, wow. That's amazing. If you can't make it and you live in another area,
Starting point is 00:18:59 we will be streaming. And there'll be no ladies directing. Oh. Oh, well, that's why I just, I was like, yay. I know. No, you're free. That's awesome. All right.
Starting point is 00:19:11 June 28th. Sarah directs. That's why she directs live stream. And if you ever, if you tune in and you watch on Sundays and you're seeing the camera movement, that's sometimes Sarah leading and directing all that. So. Yeah. It's gotten so, so good too.
Starting point is 00:19:25 It's so impressive watching it. So great job, Sarah. And then a couple months later, we'll be in August, before you know it. And so we have our Beloved Ladies Conference. It's victorious this year. And we want to make sure that you save the date. We'll be having some stuff coming out soon,
Starting point is 00:19:42 more details to follow. So stay around so you can find out what's coming up next. And I think that's it for today. That's all we got. That's it. Sweet. That's all of that stuff. Yep.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Okay. I wish I could say I felt better, but I don't. That's okay. We're going to keep going on. Let's do it. Let's do it. Acts 2.17, first question says, In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Starting point is 00:20:11 Can you explain all people? Does that mean all people have the Holy Spirit? That is absolutely not true. Not all people have the Holy Spirit. You have to be a born-again believer in order for you to have the Holy Spirit. If that's the case, then everybody could also be saved. Or everybody can be saved. That means that everybody, it says like people who believe in Jesus,
Starting point is 00:20:39 people are like, if they believe in Jesus, aren't they saved? No. Because believing and a lifestyle coexist together. So not everybody that believes that Jesus existed or believes in Jesus is saved. It would be super simple if that was the case. But repentance is required, and that's part of faith and walking it out. So Acts 2.17 says, And it shall come to pass in the last day says God that
Starting point is 00:21:06 I will pour out my spirit on all flesh. Your sons and daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams. That's the scripture that you're referring to. But study notes say when it comes to when we're speaking about all people, sons, daughters, young men and old men, men and women, the spirit is bestowed on all irrespective of gender, age, and rank. A lot of times people will say that women, because Paul said that women need to be silent, that women don't get to do or we don't have the ability to do the same thing men do. That's just not true. One of the first churches was done by a husband and wife in their home church,
Starting point is 00:21:52 Aquila and Priscilla. There were many women when Jesus walked the earth that supported and did mighty things with him. And then after he went to heaven, there were many women that prophesied. And how do I say it? I mean, I'm old-fashioned. Don't get me wrong. When I say I'm old-fashioned, I do believe that in the home, there are positions for women and
Starting point is 00:22:28 there are positions for men. God ordained it to be that way so the home flows. And do I not think that the church is the same way? I do. I do think that the church is the same way. It says the women are not supposed to be over the men in authority and leadership. So even though, if you look at our church, for example, we'll use like Joyce Meyer. Joyce Meyer is a great example. Joyce Meyer is a teacher. She's huge. Most people know who she is, but the one thing you'll hear her always say is that she submits to the authority of her husband, and he actually runs the ministry. And I would liken that to be the same way here at Foundation Church. Now, some people call me pastor. I don't really care about titles or anything like that, so it's irrelevant to me.
Starting point is 00:23:16 But even through all of that, I submit to the leadership of this church, and a lot of the women in this church that hold positions, in fact, all the women that hold positions in this church and a lot of the women in this church that hold positions, in fact, all the women that hold positions in this church, if they're going to hold one, they'd have to do the same. Because there is, just like a household has guidelines and boundaries, well, Jesus said he is the groom and we are the bride and we're to run a church. If there's like a deacon has to have certain qualifications, people who teach have to have certain qualifications and they have to run their home well. So all of these things matter. So a lot of times how a home is ran is also how a church is ran as far as relational things, positions of things. That doesn't mean that women
Starting point is 00:24:07 don't have a say. In my house, I have a say. I don't have the ultimate say, but I have a say, and it's very valued. Same thing in this church, and same thing, that's the way Jesus treated women. They had value, and he used them in a mighty way. And so it will be the same now and also in the end times, but it will increase as the day approaches. So let's look at more study notes for this scripture. It says, Peter began his sermon by quoting Joel 2, 28 through 32 from the Greek translation of the Old Testament. And in this passage, God had promised that there would be a time when all those who followed him would receive his spirit, and not just prophets, kings, and priests.
Starting point is 00:24:53 Peter pointed out that time had come to pass. God would speak to and through all those who would come to him. So you have to come to him. You have to be saved. So all doesn't mean all. All means those who come to him and those who are his. Whether in visions, dreams, or prophecy, this was the beginning of the last days, and God's final act of his salvation began with the pouring out of his spirit,
Starting point is 00:25:18 and the final act of deliverance will continue to the end of the age. So again, if you're a Christian, yes. If you're not a Christian, it's like light and darkness do not coexist together. Sin separates you from God. So if sin separates you from him, then you're not going to have the Holy Spirit as well. Does that make sense, ladies? Yeah. Matthew Henry commentary. There should be a
Starting point is 00:25:47 more plentiful and extensive effusion of the spirit of grace from on high than had ever been. The prophets of the Old Testament had been filled with the Holy Ghost, and it was said of the people of Israel that God gave them his good spirit to instruct them. And that was in Nehemiah 9.20. If you study the word out and you study the scripture, everything I'm telling you right now, you could find. Just about this one verse. It's all referencing this one verse. But now the Spirit shall be poured out not only upon the Jews, but upon all flesh. So even the Gentiles, which are us, as well as the Jews.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Though yet Peter himself did not understand it so, as it appears in Acts 11, 17. Or upon all flesh that is upon some of all ranks and conditions of men. The Jewish doctors taught that the Spirit came only upon wise and rich men, and such as were of the seed of Israel. But God will not tie himself to those rules. So, it also means that a lot of the Jewish faith believe that they are the elite. And they really are. I mean, they are his chosen people. But we've been grafted in. So we're pretty special too.
Starting point is 00:26:54 So it won't just be for the Jew. It'll be for the Gentile. It'll be for all people. And for me, I would chase after everything that God has for you. So, I mean, I would want to prophesy. I would want to be dreaming dreams and seeing visions. If you're a believer, go after all of those things because you can use them for him in a mighty, mighty way.
Starting point is 00:27:24 And right now, time is of the essence. We really need to be winning the lost. And you can do that through prophecy. I mean, I think about Pastor Rodney's vision that he had. How much has he used that? I know. To win the lost. I know.
Starting point is 00:27:42 And also, not only to win the lost. I know. And also, not only to win the lost, he totally brought such peace in the midst of chaos at the beginning of COVID. Right. For so many people all over the world because he was able to give the message that the Lord had provided to him. What was that vision? It was like only like, what?
Starting point is 00:28:01 How many minutes was that? That wasn't even that long. It wasn't. I think it was the one where it showed the world. Yeah, it's the one where he showed the world. Yeah. Yeah. In his bedroom.
Starting point is 00:28:13 If you've never heard that vision, you need to hear it. It's powerful. It brought such peace. People would get to be a place. He told us, people are like, we've heard the story over and over again. And he's like, I'm going to keep telling it over and over again. Because you don't know who is hearing it for the first time. And second of all, for me, every time I hear it, I'm like, one more nugget that I missed.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Because there's so much in that vision that he had. But for me, every time he talks about it, I'm like, oh, there's such a piece about it that the Lord was giving him such a great message for us as believers. So go chase after that stuff. I mean, don't be kooky. Don't be kooky. Let make sure it's real. And again, I would say the word tells us to test the spirits. But also, if somebody wants to speak into your life, be very, very careful who you let speak into your life. Because a lot of people miss it. A lot of people miss it.
Starting point is 00:29:22 And listen, I've missed it. I mean, it happens. but it should happen far less, especially when you're saying, thus saith the Lord. You better, if you're saying that God's told you something, you better be daggum sure that God really told you it. I don't let hardly anyone speak into Tom and I's life. Hardly ever. If somebody wants to give us a message,
Starting point is 00:29:43 we have like three rules. One, do you attend the church? Two, are you in leadership? Three, do you give a tithe? And people would be like, why are those three things important? All of them are investments. All of them show how much you're invested in this ministry as well as into the pastoral leadership of this church. One is if you attend the church, how often do you attend? It'll reflect how strong your Christian walk is, truthfully. Do you believe in this place? Are you giving to this place?
Starting point is 00:30:23 Not of your money, of your time. Do you hold coming on Sunday mornings and the other times that the doors are open of value? Number two, if you're in leadership, we've put you in a leadership position because there's something different about you than just somebody who's just attending a lot of times. God wants to, not everybody gets to be in leadership. There are certain qualifications for it, and there should be, because we're going to answer to God for whatever you say, or however your home life is, or whatever you do. I mean, we're going to be held accountable for it, and Tom's very particular about that.
Starting point is 00:31:06 If you're in leadership, we'll probably listen to you. Why? Because you've invested in this ministry far enough to say, we believe in it so much that we want to be a part of what you're doing. And number three, if you financially invest in something, that means you stand behind it big time. Like we just learned, 5% of people mostly don't, only 5% of the church pays tithe. That's a shame, but it's truth.
Starting point is 00:31:30 And it shows your investment. It shows the value of what you put on the place that you attend. And people will say, well, that's not right. Well, like why should we listen to somebody that you want me to invest in you and what you have to say, but you don't want to do the same in return? There's a value.
Starting point is 00:31:48 And it's like you can't take back words that people say. So if you give us a wrong prophetic word and we don't know you, then that's on us. That's stupid. pastor, not one, that has any value of any kind in guarding their heart and guarding the body of Christ, that listens to somebody that they don't know, give them a word. I've never met one. I mean, I literally, if I asked some of the staff or even Pastor Rodney, I wouldn't even ask Jonathan because God knows what he would say. But if I ask them, like, would you take a word from somebody who does not attend your flock or is not in leadership and definitely doesn't give to the church? They think I was nuts if I did.
Starting point is 00:32:36 They think, what are you doing? They don't even let people lay hands on people at the river or even at Jonathan's. So if they don't let people lay hands on them, why are they going to receive a word from somebody they don't know? People will be offended over that, though. And people have been offended because people have wanted to give Tom and I words and they don't know us, and then we give them the qualifications and they're like, why do you have to do this? Or why is it that way? And I'm like, how can you not see that?
Starting point is 00:33:08 How can you not see that there's value in those three things? And for me, I'm like, if you can't see that, then you definitely don't, you're not giving me a word. No response. I like literally when people have said,
Starting point is 00:33:23 why is those three your prerequisites to give you a word? I'm like, they don't even respond. If they don't see why that would be even for themselves and receiving a word for somebody i'm like do you just receive from people yeah they probably do they they shouldn't if they do they shouldn't that's craziness that is crazy exactly but that's and like the thing is like you would think that if you if i said that to you when i was in in leadership you didn't know me and you said that I'd be like okay like because I'd be like well you're missing out if that's how they truly feel like if they truly feel like they're giving you something that they should then then you would just be like oh okay well they don't want to hear it and then you walk
Starting point is 00:33:56 away it's so crazy how people are like but what I have is so valuable like I want to throw it down your throat like no matter what your rules are yeah no it's almost rooted in pride it does it feels very prideful I mean like it feels like they're like how could you dare not want that from me yeah yeah I mean in the past we've had them in the past I can think of one in particular well I'll only give you this but I'm not gonna give you that I'm like I didn't even want the first oh my gosh that's embarrassing. You could have kept that. You can keep it all. Yeah. Thanks. But no thanks. Yeah. No, I don't like that. I'm like, it's all like, I don't know. For me, it's like, if you can't see that, I just don't know what to tell you.
Starting point is 00:34:42 You don't even come here and yet you want to give me a word. I mean, not even you don't know what to tell you. You don't even come here, and yet you want to give me a word. I mean, not even you don't come here. You don't even watch us on livestream, and you have a word for us. Not happening. I'd be stupid to do that. Whatever. Be very careful. Don't take words from just anybody, and don't just trust anybody
Starting point is 00:35:03 because people get it wrong, and And don't just trust anybody. Because people get it wrong. And you don't know their lives. And even if God did tell them to tell you something, and you're leery of receiving it because you don't know them, guess what? They're not the only one God will tell. If God really wants you to have that message, guess what? He'll make sure he gets it to you.
Starting point is 00:35:23 Through somebody that you know and trust. They're not the only vessel. That's what floors me. I'm like, you're the only person that can give me this message? I don't think so. I mean, I talk to him all the time. I think he'll tell me.
Starting point is 00:35:38 I know, that's what I mean. I just don't get it. It's okay, I know him too. That's what I mean. Yeah, like if you said no to me, I'd be like, okay, well, then I wasn't the right person. You okay. I know him too. That's what I mean. Yeah. Like if you said no to me, I'd be like, okay, well then I wasn't the right person. Or you guys share the same Holy Spirit. Right.
Starting point is 00:35:50 You know, I know. I just don't get it. I don't either. I mean, it literally floors me. I'm not trying to bust on people. I'm just saying, let's think about this. Let's process. And even in the real world, like outside of like church world, like where do people go up to people and like say, and then they're like, well, I would
Starting point is 00:36:08 like to know like where, where your professional like acclimates basically. And if you're like, well, I don't have any, well then no respectable person is going to listen in the professional world. You know what I mean? There's always rules and guidelines. I've never known, never known. None of my pastors would, I mean, I can't think of any of them. And some of them, like I said, they were in sin, but I mean, I can't think of any of them
Starting point is 00:36:34 that would have listened to anybody that they didn't know come and give them a word. I mean, that would be nuts. Yeah. I know that Jesus, I know God used to send the prophet, but they even knew who the prophets were. Right. Yeah. I mean, not just everybody got to be a prophet and not just everybody was speaking into people's lives. Fruit inspector.
Starting point is 00:37:02 Be careful. There's a lot of, I'm not saying that if somebody gives a or has a prophetic word for you that they're crazy and you don't know them that's not what i'm saying what i'm saying just be very careful you're supposed to be just like you're supposed to lay your hands on people hastily you should receive words from people prophetic words from them hastily don't just believe or don't buy what somebody's selling even if it's what you want to hear right that's another one because sometimes uh most words that people have for you should be
Starting point is 00:37:30 uh the bible is very clear on what a prophetic word should look like but and it should be encouragement uh and building up but there were times that the the prophet had to send words that brought correction. Right. Okay? Right. Most people don't want to hear the correction. They only want to hear the prophetically good word. And they're hoping it's going to go in the line of what they want. Like, for example, for me, when I went in to marry Tom,
Starting point is 00:38:12 I specifically was praying, is he the one for me? Now, what happened was, is somebody sitting next to me while I'm praying, it leaned over. He didn't say, God just told me he's the one for you. No, what he did is he gave me something that I was specifically saying to the Lord. And then what the Lord was saying back to me, he used somewhat of the same terminology. Now there are people, and then I got confirmation. There are people that are wanting to get married to somebody that don't spend any time asking the
Starting point is 00:38:43 Lord, is this the person, the one for me? And they'll listen to some Yehu that doesn't even know them or doesn't even know much about them. Say, I really feel like this is the one for you. Are you really got, you two should be together. Okay. Be very careful of that because you might want to hear that. And then later on down the road, you got married based on what that Yehu said, not on what God told you. And now you're screwed. Don't think it happens. It happens.
Starting point is 00:39:13 It's because it's what you wanted to hear. You should have invested the time in saying, Lord, is this the person for me? And you know what? It might take more than a month. It might take more than a week. Invest the time. It took me probably four or five months to hear it and hear it clearly and to know. I mean, there are a lot of things that are big in life that you should pray over. And it might take you a little bit of time to make sure it's not your flesh telling you, it's God telling you. Because
Starting point is 00:39:43 a lot of times we want to hear what we want to hear. And so we just take it, you know, he said yes, or I'm supposed to do this. I'm supposed to take that job or whatever. And it's really what you wanted to do. And you didn't even slow down fast and pray enough to see, is this really the Lord telling me? So don't always just go off on what somebody tells you and that's the only time to find out, is this what really God's telling you? So anybody want to add to any of that stuff? Because that really wasn't about the spirit and the people and acts, but whatever.
Starting point is 00:40:17 But when you typically, when you hear something, well, how does it usually happen for you? Do you usually hear from God and then people confirm what you know, or do you usually get confirmation from people and then God confirms what people say to you? It's usually the other way around. Right. The first one. Right. Same with me. And so when I, and that's always served me really well. Like usually I go to God first and then he tells me something and then other people are confirming that to me. When I've gone to other people and then like ask God for confirmation, sometimes your flesh gets in the way and you almost want it to be that way
Starting point is 00:40:49 or don't want it to be that way. But when God gives it to you first and then all of a sudden random people start saying things, I don't know, it just always seems to be a better order. Yeah. I say marriage because both my kids are dating people, right? And I hope to God both of them would listen to what the Lord says versus what other people say.
Starting point is 00:41:12 Because there's a lot of people that see you happy, so they think, oh, you guys are the post-perfect couple, and this will just make you the happiest. But only God knows that. Even outside of me. I mean, I have my own thoughts on things and stuff like that, but I'm not saying them. And I'm not saying them on purpose
Starting point is 00:41:35 because I don't want to encourage them one way or the other, whatever way it is. You know what I'm saying? That's God's business. And I pray and have prayed for a very long time that when they did meet somebody that if it's supposed to be the right one but both of my kids would never like they'll
Starting point is 00:41:53 and like who they're dating I don't think either one of them would make rash quick decisions that would be irresponsible on their part to even commit to something like that. I mean, listen. You don't commit to date. You date to commit.
Starting point is 00:42:15 So most people never date. They should just go straight to commitment. That's dangerous. That is super dangerous. That's why people get married way too fast, way too soon. And then afterwards, I mean, I literally sat in counseling sessions with people, and they're like, I didn't, I mean, I can't believe that this person behaves like this. I don't even think I can stay married to them any longer.
Starting point is 00:42:38 And I'm like, well, surely you saw this while you were dating the person. Like, how can this be hidden? It can't be hidden. And they're like, well, I didn't really date him that long. We pretty much got married after a few months or half a year. And I'm like, that was the first mistake. You didn't know him. It's like me and Vanessa were talking about something.
Starting point is 00:43:01 Me and Tom are big on you have to date at least. I know you don't need to date three years like we did okay that's ridiculous but you have to date at least one year and then after the one year you evaluate okay is this person somebody that I could see myself with in a forever situation that That's when that begins. Because how you said it is how, I don't say it the same way, but it was really, really good.
Starting point is 00:43:33 Vanessa, say what you said, because you said when they're dating, you date their representative. It's so true. I've told my kids this. Like, do you honestly believe you're seeing the real person? Yeah. At least the first three months is their representative. And something that I think it was Adalis Shuttlesworth, she mentioned, date someone for all four seasons. See what happens
Starting point is 00:43:59 when there's no sun out. How do they respond? Fair. Fair. I'm different during no sun out. See what they do in all four seasons before you commit a lifetime to them. And I'm like, oh, that makes sense. That's good. Yeah. Because, I mean, listen, when you're dating, especially like the younger you are, you're an idiot. You don't even know what you want. You don't even know what you want you don't you think you know what your
Starting point is 00:44:26 life is going to be like later on down the road uh like how you feel right now you feel like you'll feel like forever the younger you are the more it is like that that's why me and tom dating so late he was 24 i was 25 but we didn't get married until 28 and 27. Almost. We were both almost to the next age. More so me. But, like, for me, when I was younger, I was like, I ain't having kids. I didn't want kids.
Starting point is 00:45:00 But then you get older and you're like, yeah, you know what? I want kids. Like, why wouldn't I want kids? But you're young. You're like, you don't want to be tied down. You think like, not like Talia. Talia's ready to have them tomorrow. But that's, and that's a lot of girls.
Starting point is 00:45:18 But like, there's a lot of girls that are like me that are just like, I don't know. I think I want to see the world or um i want a career and then you really you grow up and and it's just a matter of a few eight you know a few years and you're like that's nothing yeah like there's way more to life than a career but you don't know that right because you're you're so young so um that's why you can't marry somebody too soon you can't you can't like date like tom always says this people are always committing instead of dating when really you date to find out if you're going to be committed and that's a huge thing um so let's go to our sponsor are you guys hey wait
Starting point is 00:46:01 before we do guys any anything else to add? Does anyone want to say something? Yeah, go ahead. Just that in the last days when he pours out the Holy Spirit, I think that also has to do with the harvest, where you need the Holy Spirit to get saved. That's how it works. So, he is going to pour out his Spirit. You won't have the Spirit until you receive Jesus, but
Starting point is 00:46:20 for my people in my life, I'm always like, I am that representative going and the Holy Spirit comes with me. Yes. So that light shining in the darkness is what helps bring other people to the Lord. 100%. That's good.
Starting point is 00:46:35 And then the Holy Spirit, they feel him. It's just like when there have been people that have said about Tom when he he's not even he's not even close. Like Courtney, Talia's mother. I find this hilarious because Courtney was not big into any of the joy or laying hands and being slain in the spirit. You're talking about somebody who's like, no. But that's where when you avail yourself to the Holy Spirit and you go, you know what?
Starting point is 00:47:09 Even though I have a little bit of hesitancy with this because I'm just not that sure about it. I'm quite critical of it. And you say, you know, but whatever you want, Holy Spirit, I'll do it. And then he smacks you. And that's what happened to her. Like when she got filled with the joy, she had no idea that that was going to happen. That's why it's real.
Starting point is 00:47:32 Because it's not, he's so sweet. The Holy Spirit is so sweet. But she said one time she was standing in line for prayer. And Tom's like four people down. And she said as he kept getting closer and closer, she's like, I don't think I'm going to make it before he gets here because the Holy Spirit was so strong
Starting point is 00:47:52 on him. So strong on him that she could barely stand. That's what you're talking about though, Sarah. That's what we bring. That's when he pours it. So, it's powerful. And. That's when he pours it. So it's powerful. And you should want the most of him as you possibly can
Starting point is 00:48:09 so you can be the most effective for him as you possibly can. But that comes through prayer and fasting and being available. Yeah, I have a cool story to share. Sarah's mom, she came to one of our Tuesday gatherings, and she is a Buddhist. She was a Buddhist. She was a buddhist she was a buddhist and she came to a to our gathering and there was a point within the the time that we were gathering she started crying and she's like i have no idea why i'm crying and then at the end
Starting point is 00:48:41 towards the end she gave her life to the Lord. Holy Spirit is so sweet. Just from just being like in the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit. He's so sweet and so beautiful. Yeah. Like if you've never experienced him in that way, you're missing out. Like you need to be just open to whatever he's what he has for you it'll radically change your heart in your mind yeah that's what I think we're true renewal comes though I mean he is a beautiful thing he is a beautiful thing
Starting point is 00:49:15 did you want say something Sarah are you about to cry Sarah are you about to cry Sarah I'm in a perpetual state of tears. She's always ready. She's always ready for the tears. Is it that time of the month, Sarah? Don't answer that question. I'm in my luteal phase. I didn't even know what that was.
Starting point is 00:49:38 For the men, I'm super sorry. This still can be a girl's podcast at times. What? She said she got hers 10 days early. I'm like. That's rough. Never has it ever happened. Wow.
Starting point is 00:49:50 I'm becoming a woman, guys. You are. Congratulations. Thank you. 18. Sorry, Sean. Yeah. There's other guys, too, apparently, that watch this.
Starting point is 00:49:59 I'm really sorry. Lovely. But you know what? You're probably married. Yep. It's not new to you. You know. You know. You don't want to know. I know. But you know. We You're probably married. It's not new to you. You know. You know.
Starting point is 00:50:07 You don't want to know. I know. But you know. We don't want to know. I don't really care about it. You can tell me all day long. It doesn't bother me a bit. I'm past all that.
Starting point is 00:50:17 It don't bother me a bit. Exactly. Raise your hands in the air. Praise them like you just don't care. I'm fine with that. Sean has a question. How do I stop myself from crying when the Holy Spirit is really working in me I haven't figured that out yet just let it flow baby
Starting point is 00:50:31 just let it flow just let it flow who cares Tom listen Tom goes to the river there have been times like I don't cry very much but I will cry there but Tom he just is a he's just
Starting point is 00:50:46 a mess the whole entire time he's crying and crying and crying he's a mess I just laugh at him oh my gosh
Starting point is 00:50:55 Sean it'll be alright yeah we'll just laugh at you no I love it why you cry I wouldn't either
Starting point is 00:51:01 I love it I love seeing it because it's like it's powerful you know when somebody's crying because it's like. It's powerful. You know when somebody's crying because they're like sad and you know when somebody's crying because they're being touched. Like you just know. It's amazing when you see that.
Starting point is 00:51:12 Yeah. And it's very rare to see somebody like sad, sad. It's typically because they're being touched and it just feels so good. Sean, don't stop it. Please don't. Just let it go. Yeah. I'm not kidding you.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Just let it go. Yeah. You will love it. Yeah. Yeah. Lean go. Yeah. I'm not kidding you. Just let it go. Yeah. You will love it. Yeah. Yeah, lean in. Amen. As Vanessa said, because you probably didn't hear
Starting point is 00:51:29 in her soft, sultry voice. She said lean in. I should have like a microphone. Yeah, she needs. Like attached to my mouth. She needs her intercom. I feel like I need a piano, a rose, a tip jar,
Starting point is 00:51:42 and a microphone just for her. For her to sultrally answer her song or her answers with the song. Oh my goodness. A little smoky background lounge. One of our candy cigs. Yeah, candy cigs. So let's do our sponsor. Now listen, I do our sponsor near the end because we have our biggest numbers a lot of times near the end.
Starting point is 00:52:07 So that's one of the reasons why I don't do it at the beginning. F-Y-I. So we're going to talk about Laura Keller and Real Estate Appraisal Associates with Southwest Florida. Listen, I'm just telling you, this world is cray-cray. I just found out one of my neighbors sold their house I'm just telling you, this world is cray-cray. I just found out one of my neighbors sold their house over $900,000 in my neighborhood. It's nuts.
Starting point is 00:52:39 In a real estate world right now where things are slowing down, people are still selling high. If you don't get an appraisal for your property before you put it on the market, you're crazy. Because even though things have slowed down, you might sell it for less than the value of what it is worth. I never in a million years would have thought that this house would sell over $900,000. I mean, literally,
Starting point is 00:53:10 all of the people in the neighborhood that I know, we were like, not that it's not a nice house, don't get me wrong, but none of us would have thought it was that much money. So I'm just saying to you, you can have a really great realtor and a realtor can be your friend and want the best for you.
Starting point is 00:53:26 But people make mistakes. So never undersell your property. Get an appraisal. And then you make the kind of money on it that you're supposed to make. So a lot of times everything's negotiations. So you price it at the right price so that you can sell it for more than you thought you might be able to give for it. That's negotiations. But if you start right where, I'm not saying to sell it so high or to list it
Starting point is 00:53:54 so high, because a lot of times people are unreasonable. They think their houses are worth more than what they are. And then you need a real estate appraisal to prove that it's no longer a personal situation for you. This is a business decision. A lot of people, they sell their properties and it's so personal to them because they put their blood, sweat, and tears in the most expensive thing they've ever owned. So it's super personal to them. So they think it has a higher value than what it is.
Starting point is 00:54:21 You'll never sell it, especially in a market that's slow. What you got to do is get an appraisal so you know exactly what it is, you'll never sell it, especially in a market that's slow. What you gotta do is get an appraisal so you know exactly what it's worth so that you get the best price for it and it sells quickly. It works both ways. If you're wanting to list too high, it'll correct that. And if you were gonna sell it for too low, then you'll make more money.
Starting point is 00:54:45 Appraisals are like, if you're going to sell the most expensive thing you'll ever own, what an appraisal costs you is like the difference of making thousands of dollars versus spending hundreds of dollars. I mean, why would you leave money on the table? That's just crazy to me.
Starting point is 00:55:07 It's like when I used to sell real estate and people didn't want to pay for a home inspection. I'm like, a home inspection costs you $250 and you're about to make the biggest purchase of your whole life and you're quibbling over $250 for a home inspection. You're crazy. You're buying something
Starting point is 00:55:22 and you don't even know if there's anything wrong with it. But you'll buy that and not spend 250 bucks. Be wise with your money. Be a good steward of it. Don't leave money on the table. But also, don't waste any time
Starting point is 00:55:38 because you're thinking you own something that's worth more than it really is. And Laura's business has been around since 2005. She has been a certified appraiser for 24 years. She has three locations,
Starting point is 00:55:52 Lakewood Ranch, Port Charlotte, and Tampa. And she has a fourth one coming in downtown Englewood. Listen, she's got a lot of experience. She works with over 300 banks and lenders and government entities in the united states call her and when you do tell her that we me and the peanut gallery the whole hotline sent you oh yeah right yep there you go you won't be disappointed so um plus she's sweet as pumpkin pie so pays to have somebody in your corner that knows what the heck they're doing.
Starting point is 00:56:28 And experience, experience goes a long way. Nothing wrong with having a novice help you out. Listen, everybody's got to start somewhere. But, if you're going to get appraisal, make sure it's somebody who's been doing it for a while. Especially in this market. Right. Holy mackerel. This is a crazy time.
Starting point is 00:56:49 So I'm going to do one last question, which is interesting. This one said, you just had a birthday. How old do you feel? How old do you feel like you are? So what, how old do I feel like you are so what how old do i feel like like my body so i they didn't ask me how old i am for obvious reasons but i don't care because i'll tell you i'm 57 i just turned 57 i do not feel one bit older than 18 i kid you not i've literally thought to myself how old do i feel do i feel 25 Do I feel 25?
Starting point is 00:57:26 No. I feel younger than that. I feel like I did when I graduated high school. I don't feel different. My body doesn't ache. I don't have, like I don't get outside of working out aching. But I don't like,
Starting point is 00:57:41 oh, my back. I have no aches, no pains. But I speak over that. That's a daily thing. That is not going to happen to me. I don no aches, no pains, but I speak over that. That's a daily thing. That is not going to happen to me. I don't speak like I'm old. I mind my words. But I feel just like I did when I graduated.
Starting point is 00:57:55 That's good. How old do you feel? You don't have to tell your age because you say you're 27 all the time. But how old do you feel? I'm 39 because Talia keeps trying to put me in the forties and I'm still in my thirties. Well, she had me in the sixties. But her, to like back her, she was saying that like you're 60 and you literally look like you're in your thirties. So she was trying to say like, you're older. Wait a minute, what are you talking about? When Talia was saying that, she thought you were older, but she knew that you were so young.
Starting point is 00:58:23 Like, she's like, well, yeah, she's close to 60. But like she's not because she's like in her 30s because you're so young. Hope, I'm serious. Right. Isn't that what you were doing? She does look young. Yeah, exactly. How can I look young if you said I was 60 something?
Starting point is 00:58:40 Because I knew that you were older than what you looked like. Right. That I didn't know how old. Yeah. Apparently. And also Tom messed me up. I you looked like. Right, that. But I didn't know how old. Yeah. Apparently. And also, Tom messed me up. I told you that. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:58:50 He joked about it. Yeah, because he's. She was rounding up. Yeah, she was rounding up. Yeah. That's as good as Norma. I turned like 39 in her birthday card. She goes, you look great.
Starting point is 00:59:02 You look like you're 38 years old. I'm like, that's only a year difference and I'm like I was thanks but no thanks that makes me feel like crap oh my gosh I laughed so hard but I was like oh my gosh this is this is truth I probably feel like the same too I don't like when I hang out with them the only time I feel older is when they start like being like immature but most of the time they're mature so I feel like I'm like her age like I don't have aches and pain right I know I know but like sometimes it's like too immature it's like even I don't even understand it immature but very rarely with like Talia but when I'm with like the youth kids I'm like oh no Oh no, I'm not 18. Yeah. You know, but, um,
Starting point is 00:59:47 I know I don't have aches and pains either, but I speak over that too. No, no. My eyesight, everything. I, so yeah. Yep.
Starting point is 00:59:53 Same. How old do you feel? I feel 18. Amazing. She feels 18 and she's only 17. Yes. I actually do. I feel like I'm 20,
Starting point is 01:00:03 but I'm not. You feel 20 because you feel mature. Yeah. Not like physically. I feel like I'm 20, but I'm not. You feel 20 because you feel mature? Yeah. Not like physically. Okay. Well, cheer kind of, yeah. Well, yeah, we'll just go with. 20?
Starting point is 01:00:14 20. Yeah. She's older than us. Yeah. I'm fine with that. Vanessa? So I have a big birthday coming up. What are you going to turn 40?
Starting point is 01:00:24 Not this year. I was going to say. Not this year, but next year. Yeah. coming up. What are you going to turn 40? Not this year. But next year, yeah, big 40. I know. Can you even? Gosh, man, you were a baby when I first met you. I know. But mentally, I want to say like 20.
Starting point is 01:00:38 You know, like the cool older sister. Okay. Not 16. Not teen. You don't want to be a teenager anymore. Not 16. Because whenever I'm around 16-year-olds, I'm like, yeah. Okay. Not 16. Not teen. You don't want to be a teenager anymore. No, no, no. Okay. Not 16 because whenever I'm around 16 year olds, I'm like, yeah, I'm not 16.
Starting point is 01:00:49 But I feel like I'm 20. But I'm definitely turning 40. So. But you feel great. But I feel great. What about you, Sarah? How old do you feel? So.
Starting point is 01:01:08 I look much younger than I am also. I'm going to be 46 in a couple weeks. And people don't believe that. Yeah. We're working on the no aches and pains. We're working on the vision. But you're a newbie to certain things, sweetie. But I feel eternal. That's what i feel yeah she just she brings it and she almost cries when she says yeah
Starting point is 01:01:31 i was gonna be like i hear the i don't know about you but i'm feeling 22 and then i was like i hate taylor swift but i just did you did yeah i'm not a big fan of i'm not i'm not i'm no swifty that's for sure that's funny it's a shame she does i mean from what i understand like she does have a gift yeah she does yeah god meant it for her for it to be used for him i know he gave her that gift she's decided to use it for something and someone else but sorry all you swifties out there but do your research on on taylor swift i think you'll be highly disappointed unless you want to like be an ostrich stick your hand in the stick your head in the sand and okay you can do that too whatever won't solve any problems but you can you'll be
Starting point is 01:02:23 you'll feel feel good about listening to her still. And I'm not even a big person on saying, don't listen to non-Christian music. I mean, I don't really listen to secular. But I'm like, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. But then there's people. Then there's the ones that have a purpose and a plan behind what they're doing. Their songs, their concerts, Sam Smith is one of them,
Starting point is 01:02:48 Lady Gaga is another. I mean, you need to look into them. It's demonic. Be very careful. Anybody want to add anything to that about what I just said? I got nothing. Vanessa and her sultry voice.
Starting point is 01:03:05 I got nothing. I'm a piano her sultry voice. I got nothing. I got nothing. I got nothing. I'm not a Swifty, so. You're not a Swifty? No. I mean, my kids do like some of her songs. I'm not a big fan, but work out your salvation with fair and trembling.
Starting point is 01:03:21 I liked her old stuff. I liked her old songs. Yeah. Yeah. I liked her country stuff, like before she sold her soul to the devil yeah because she did literally she was she did have way better stuff back in the day oh yeah but the world has a way of your environment has a way of changing you be very careful about the environment that's the word west white corinthian says to be very careful about the company you keep.
Starting point is 01:03:47 It's very important. Do not yoke yourself together with unbelievers. So not that she was a believer, but, you know, bad morals corrupts good character. And be very careful about that. So even for the lost, it's true. You don't have to be saved. I mean, there are people that were not saved that were good, wholesome people
Starting point is 01:04:11 starting hanging around the wrong people. And that wholesomeness and the goodness went to crap because bad decisions. So that's it. We're done. We're three minutes over. We're going to pray. If you don't know Jesus today, now's your chance.
Starting point is 01:04:27 If you've walked away from him, it's your time to come back. Let's pray real quick together. Let's get your life right because it's Friday and the weekend's ahead of you. I mean, I don't have much hope for the weekend because all of the food that I love and hold dear, I won't be eating. But you. So sad. So, so sad. I don't know if you heard Tracy eating. But you. So sad. So, so sad. I don't know if you heard Tracy.
Starting point is 01:04:47 I'm crying. So sad. But you, on the other hand, the world is your pearl. You can have whatever you want. So let's say this prayer right now. Dear Heavenly Father, I just thank you for what you did for me when you died on the cross. You took my sin and you redeemed me. You made me new. I ask you to forgive me of my sins, make me whole, make me new, renew my mind. And from this moment on, I live for you. You have a life that you have planned for me
Starting point is 01:05:27 because your word says it in Jeremiah 29 11. I will do what you say to do, and I will go where you say to go. I will not do what you tell me not to do, and I will not go where you tell me not to go. You are the Lord of my life from this moment on. I praise you. I thank you.
Starting point is 01:05:50 In Jesus' mighty name we pray. Amen. If you said that short, quick prayer, it's as simple as that. It's as simple as that. You are saved. Get it into a good church. If you live in the area, please come to Foundation Church. If you need a good Bible,
