Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to the Hope Hotline. It is Friday today. And happy birthday! Am I even on? Yay! Am I even on? She's on. I don't feel like it.
Starting point is 00:00:33 You're on. You're there. You quieted me for that over there. How can we do that all at once, but we can't do our one year anniversary correctly? Guess what day it is. Happy birthday. Oh, why are you coming? Oh, I see. Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:00:48 You told me surprises. Oh, my goodness. Okay. Okay. Switch it over. Oh, my gosh. You hate this. I know you do. You hate this. I know you do.
Starting point is 00:01:07 Look how beautiful. I will. You have to adjust it yourself. All of the crazy hats we've had to wear for you. I have to wear this? Just for one second. Let me get a little screenshot of you. You look so cute.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Look how cute you are. Oh, happy birthday. She does not look like a baby. Oh, my gosh. I don't like my hair with this. Okay, that's it. Just smile for one second. Look at it.
Starting point is 00:01:32 Look at the screen. Yay. Then I can get a screenshot of it. Put the crown back more. So it's not pushing your bangs. Okay. I don't like my hair with this tiara today. If I would have known I've been wearing a tiara, I would have done my hair
Starting point is 00:01:45 maybe differently. We can't tell you that. There, just plop it right there. Aw, look at you. Royalty. There you go. That looks good. Yeah, royalty.
Starting point is 00:01:53 I now know what Princess Kate deals with. How hard that was. As far as the tiara goes. I know. Look at you. Poor thing. Where did you get a tiara?
Starting point is 00:02:03 That was all Sarah. All Sarah. Thank you, Sarah. Tiara. Thank you for. Poor thing. Where did you get a tiara? That was all Sarah. All Sarah. Thank you, Sarah. Tiara. Thank you for the balloons. Whoever got the balloons. That's my personal one. So you can return it after the show. Is it really your personal tiara? Yes. Oh my gosh. That is amazing.
Starting point is 00:02:18 I put it on. I look in the mirror and I remind myself who I am. Okay. She's a king's daughter. She is. A king's daughter. She is. A king's daughter. Spiritual. She's the princess of the king. She is.
Starting point is 00:02:33 Okay, so we have just one fun little thing that we're going to do. We all know how much hope loves our friends. So today my husband and I got married. Okay, we have tried so hard. have reached out to our so in place of that in lieu of that I would have I'm about died even this Starbucks double-smoked bacon cheddar and egg sandwich from Starbucks
Starting point is 00:03:02 and hold on let me take a bite she is an actress oh I know I mean so incredible yeah maybe a swig of that wash it down yeah I got a venti iced caramel macchiato with matcha cold foam and an extra shot of espresso. Let's look at these levels real quick. Hold that up. That is a macchiato. Holy crap. That is a macchiato. If it's mixed up, it's a latte. You best know the difference. Hey, y'all. So, I already took a nice break into it. Is this how you got sick, Talia, the other day? Eating this cinnamon roll? Today I made homemade.
Starting point is 00:03:48 You were sick the other day. No, this is today. Oh. So proud of this. Okay, let's try it. Let's try it. Just watch. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:04:16 It's a 10 out of 10. oh my gosh so good i forgot to say happy birthday in my video so happy birthday hope i hope you enjoyed me eating my honey bun and i hope it helps you go to sleep tonight Tracy gave me zero direction. I like to see what happens. Then the day is almost through. Oh, the whole world, it is sleeping. But my world is you. Look how cute. Again, there is no assignment. It was just send us a picture of you eating. So this is what we get from sweet little baby.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Aww. That is a breast milk popsicle, if anybody wants to know. Oh, that's disgusting. Oh, no. Oh, my gosh. She is just... I know. Oh, my gosh. I just just... Oh my gosh. These raspberries are really good.
Starting point is 00:05:32 I need help. I am watching this and realizing I have issues that I must get intervention for. How's that? I'm actually very entertained by this. Logan eats very proper.
Starting point is 00:05:52 She is. She does. I'm not even in park. What is going on right now? What's with you right now? Today's a very special day. Today is a very special day. Today is a very special day. Because it be my last day of school.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Her last day of school? Oh. I'm sorry. I'm not sure. Hey, y'all. Today I made sourdough bread with a light layer of butter and then avocado, guacamole. You know the assignment. I already took bites because it's so delicious.
Starting point is 00:06:35 I cheated. I want somebody else's. So good. So good. Oh, I didn't have a drink. Hope, happy birthday. We love you so much. As crazy as this is, I hope you enjoy listening to me chew on food.
Starting point is 00:06:51 You eat very well, too. I feel like you sabotaged us, okay? Because you texted me and was like, hey, just eat something. Send me a video of you eating. I said, okay. No, you sent me a meme. I was like, what? Excuse me? And me a meme. I was like, what? Excuse me?
Starting point is 00:07:07 And then nothing. And I was like, all right. I was very busy. Happy birthday, Hope. It's the weirdest video I've ever made. Happy birthday. Just remember, I didn't ask you that. Aww.
Starting point is 00:07:22 I just made some homemade homemade potato chips. I just made some homemade potato chips. Norma knows. She sees me eat this. Don't look at my messy room. Happy birthday, Mom. Hopefully this video you'll like because you can really hold on Hopefully you can really hear this crunch
Starting point is 00:07:57 The real reason yeah taste that They even do the noise. The real reason we're making this video is because it's... It be Hope's birthday. It be Hope's birthday. How old should Turner be, you think? What else should she be? Well, she look 36. She look great.
Starting point is 00:08:32 I know. Oh my gosh. Like mother mother like daughter yeah well happy birthday hope we hope this relaxed you now i gotta go to school happy birthday. We love you. I hope you're relaxed. I am relaxed. Okay. But I'd be lying if I said the other girl's not better. That's okay.
Starting point is 00:09:14 We love her more too. We tried. Sarah tried to reach out to her on all platforms. And like, please send us a video. Please let me. Please. She loves you so much. Way to go, Sarah. I know. Taking loves you so much. Way to go, Sarah. I know.
Starting point is 00:09:25 Taking one for the team. Yeah, then we had to, you know, do the B team. Do the do. Do the thing that you do. Do the thing that we do. I appreciate that. Thank you for the happy birthday. Close second.
Starting point is 00:09:37 Yeah. Not even close. Or far second. Pretty far. I saw everybody's video and I was like yeah i did not i did not understand the assignment sorry i think sarah and i mean i think uh tempest and talia because they're tiktokers people yeah oh my gosh actually tracy you did really good oh thank you yeah thank you thank you so all right this tier is giving me a headache yeah take it off
Starting point is 00:10:02 the pressure all All done. I'll keep the thingy on, though. All right, so do the thing that you do, and then we'll come back. Doing the thing I do. Okay, so thank you for being here today on Friday. Doing good on Facebook. Let's keep those numbers. We got Tom Bayless on.
Starting point is 00:10:20 He said, happy birthday, Hope, on Facebook. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. And then, so make sure you are liking and sharing and commenting on Facebook so we can do what we can do over there. But then head over to Rumble. We got a live chat going and everybody is saying happy birthday to you, Hope. Oh, thank you so much. All the people.
Starting point is 00:10:37 All the people. It's usually a secret. But it ended on a regular. I know. It usually is a secret. So we're all going to get fired after this and then rehired. Pretty much. Because I can't do it without you. Exactly. So we got the live chat.
Starting point is 00:10:51 As you know, Rumble, if you put it in the live chat and there's a question in there, just throw it over in the comments, which is right underneath the actual video towards the left side of it. Or you can send it in to askhope at hopehotline.com. We'll get there in a second. YouTube, make sure you're subscribing. You'll get notifications. And then I'll remind you if we're going live, if you forget all the time,
Starting point is 00:11:10 you can also go into that little thing that you hold in your hand all day and go into your alarms and set that for every Wednesday and Friday. We go live 10 minutes before we start, so 2.50. And then, you know, we go live every time at 3. And we got Black Robe robe and we are always on black robe thank god because nobody can shut us down unless it's a platform issue so but nobody's controlling our content thank god um we got our audio podcast that is available anywhere you listen to potty podcast so we've got like apple play um apple podcast and spotify and all the
Starting point is 00:11:44 good things over there. Um, always available for you guys. So again, if you're going to send in your questions, this is the best place to send them. Um, ask hope at hope hotline.com. You'll get a response email saying thank you for your question. Um, after we receive it and I've sent it on to hope. So if you get that and you're good to go and, but if for some reason we missed it and you're not seeing it, you can always resend it. And again, she loves a little bit, Hope loves a little bit of extra content in there. And just, I don't even know, if you have a specific question and you think maybe the content behind it
Starting point is 00:12:17 or just helpful information to help her answer the question, then maybe you can do that for her as well. So also we're always on Instagram. We've got our merch available. So we've got our UBU t-shirt, our hat, our mug, and our spoon. And they are all available right there at that link, foundationchurchfl.com. You click shop, or if you're here on Sunday, you can buy it right in our merch store. And just a nice little close up of our newest merch. And then, ooh, I still don't have that one up. Okay, so then we're going to go right to Save the Date,
Starting point is 00:12:51 August 22nd through the 24th for our Beloved Ladies Conference, Victorious. I just got an email. Yeah. From somebody who's coming from Naples. They're doing a VRBO. Is that what it is? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:07 They're coming. They're going to be here the whole entire weekend. They were saying happy birthday to me. How sweet is that? I'm super excited about that. That's really good. Yeah, and that too. We do have a hotel close by with a pool
Starting point is 00:13:17 and near food and all that stuff, but Airbnbs are great. So you can spend time relaxing in between our events and our messages and stuff like that. So check out those as well. And it's August. So the only people coming to August in Florida are usually Disney World. So and they're crazy.
Starting point is 00:13:33 But we'll be on air conditioning and it'll be awesome. And you can we'll have just it'll be an amazing, amazing time. So come ready. And we're excited to see you guys. Make sure you introduce yourself to us and yeah. And like, just let us know where you're from and all that good stuff. We'd love to meet you in person. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:52 Well, if you watch this podcast and you come definitely introduce yourself because they see your names all the time. I know. Right. I don't know who you are. Right. I don't see your names. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:01 I still won't know who you are. They will. Yeah, absolutely. So. And then one more thing. Our beautiful girl. Oh, yeah, Tal. She's a graduate. She's a graduate.
Starting point is 00:14:13 So we did a little cap and gown pictures. Isn't she beautiful? Did you do those or did your sister do those? Yeah, we did them yesterday because we need to get the pictures done ASAP because Heather has a strict timeline. Oh, that's right. So we went last night real quick and just went downtown Punta Gorda. I was wondering where these were taken.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Yeah. She's just so cute. What a cutie. So pretty. Yeah. Gosh dang. Congratulations, Talia. We're so proud of you.
Starting point is 00:14:38 It's so funny too because there's another graduation going on at the same time. So people were walking by in their cap and gown. I'm like, I bet that's some like prestigious high school and everybody thinks like you graduated from this like amazing high school. She's homeschooled, just so you know. That's the reason why she's saying that. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:14:52 So yeah. That's awesome. It was really fun. I love it. Great pictures. Holy mackerel. It helps when she's beautiful. That does help.
Starting point is 00:14:59 And have great hair. And great hair. I know. Great hair makes all the difference in the world. It really does world it really does it really does i remember when you shaved your head that's my embarrassing story oh we'll get to it i didn't know that well i'm just saying oh my gosh i remember that that's funny yeah it wasn't funny at the time no i know it's pretty rough that's rough
Starting point is 00:15:23 but remember that vanessa yeah we don't talk about those years. But remember that, Vanessa? Yeah, we don't talk about those years, right, Paula? The forbidden years. No, we try not to. Everyone likes to bring it up, though. Striped pajamas. That's all I'm going to say. Striped pajamas.
Starting point is 00:15:37 Okay. The little girl in the striped pajamas instead of the little boy in the striped pajamas. Oh, okay. Okay. Yeah. instead of the little boy in the striped pajamas. Okay. Yeah, so that brings me into, I asked the girls, and I really have one main reason why I'm asking this question.
Starting point is 00:15:55 And when we get to it, you'll know why I had this question. I'm sure we'll have funny stories along the way, but I get questions asked all the time of me. So it's nice for me to ask a question. But I really, it's very selfish of me, the reason why I'm asking this question. And you guys are really, I can promise you,
Starting point is 00:16:23 you're really going to enjoy it. If it's told correctly, you will not want to click off until you hear the last person tell their story. So my question is for the peanut gallery. What is your most embarrassing? What is the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you? Please. It's going to go tracy tau sarah vanessa you'll want to wait for vanessa's i promise you you will want to wait my hands are
Starting point is 00:16:56 sweating yeah they should be this is probably the hardest it might be the hardest I've ever laughed at somebody's own demise. Oh, my God. It's I don't think I've ever laughed at somebody's most embarrassing thing as much as that. It's bad. But go ahead, Tracy. What's yours? I had a hard time thinking of this. It's usually like a poop story.
Starting point is 00:17:23 But the only poop stories I really have, not many people knew about them. And so that's, that makes it embarrassing when more people know. And then my, but my one embarrassing story was I was driving, I was 17. It was my dad's birthday and I was going to cross in like a cross in traffic. And some guy was like, come on, come on, come on. And I was like, oh, okay. And I got nervous and I kept going. I was probably going like two miles an hour and I hit a motorcycle and the motorcycle was going like one mile an hour. And so he just like barely touched. And then he fell over and I thought I killed him because he was laying on the ground and he wouldn't move. Oh my gosh. And I was like, and everybody came out and I was like, oh my gosh,
Starting point is 00:18:04 I killed this guy, But how could that happen? I was going two miles an hour. He was going one mile an hour. Like how? And he just, he did not get up. He just laid there. And it was, it was probably, I mean, it was obviously scary, but then he stood up and like, everybody's like, are you okay?
Starting point is 00:18:17 And he's like, I'm totally fine. But he laid there hope and didn't move. And I thought I killed a man, but I didn't because I knew I didn't. Cause you can't kill somebody. Why is he laying? Did he ever explain why he was laying on the ground? No. hope and didn't move and i thought i killed a man but i didn't because i knew i did it because you can't kill somebody did he ever explain why he was laying on the ground no was he maybe determining whether or not he was going to sue you and take everything probably yes maybe he was in shock but we he was in shock but like don't you like from one mile an hour don't you like oh my gosh i'm alive like don't you like yeah like instead of make people freak out. And he's just like this. He's like.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Hope. You know how embarrassing that is? And I was with my best friend. Listen. Not really for you. More for him. He should be embarrassed at his behavior. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:57 Yeah. Thank you. I appreciate that. Thank you. So my friend Raina that was at the girls grad party. She was with me. And she was like. It was. Yeah. It was just. It was so many and she was like it was it yeah it was just it
Starting point is 00:19:06 was so many people around and that's what makes it embarrassing because the guy I thought he killed him and I was like oh he's freaking out yeah but I was also like it didn't make sense in your mind because you like saw how slow and it like and his little like the nut that like holds the wheel on got stuck in my plastic bumper because I had like a chevy cavalier and so it just got stuck and then it just like toppled. It was like slow motion. But also it really was slow because we were really going slow. And the worst part is he's laying on the ground.
Starting point is 00:19:33 Dead. Like this. And I'm like, and he had a helmet on. He had full clothes on. So he didn't get road rash or anything. He can't. He was going one mile an hour. Literally.
Starting point is 00:19:45 So that was embarrassing. He couldn't even have d or anything. He can't. He was going one mile an hour. It was. He couldn't even have dented your vehicle if he tried. No, I had a little tiny hole in my plastic because it got stuck in my bumper. That's it. Nothing happened to his car. Like it was so slow that he got a scratch on his panel. We had to pay like $800 for it, but it was fine. And then my runner up is pooping in the woods because I couldn't hold it.
Starting point is 00:20:04 But nobody was around for it. Okay, that one was more funny than the one that you hit the motorcycle guy. Why did you have to poop in the woods? Okay, so I got home. I got home
Starting point is 00:20:12 and I couldn't find my key anywhere to get into the house. And I was like, oh my God, I'm literally going to poop my pants. And so,
Starting point is 00:20:20 like I could, you know how when you're like, you're in your last thing. Oh yeah, you're sweating. You're dripping. You're sweating. And I was like, Allison, go over there. Oh, wait, like, you're in your last sphincter? Oh, yeah, you're sweating. And you're dripping in sweat. You're sweating. And I was like, Allison, go over there. Oh, wait, wait, you're an adult?
Starting point is 00:20:28 Oh, wait, wait. This just happened. Did you say your last sphincter? Sphincter. Yeah, but you only have one sphincter. No, you got two whole, like, two of them. One, like, squeezes, and the last one. Google it.
Starting point is 00:20:39 All right, I'm going to Google it. Please. Because I was always under the impression that there was only one sphincter. That was from anatomy and physiology. I believe you, and now I'm excited to find out. Oh was always under the impression that there was only one sphincter. I believe you and now I'm excited to find out. Tracy, instead of continuing with the story is now looking up. There's two of them.
Starting point is 00:20:54 There's an external sphincter and there's an internal sphincter. So the exterior one is the one that's the second one. Once you get there, you're in big trouble, which is where I got. Do you have control over both of them? I think you do, but I think at one point
Starting point is 00:21:09 it's too far down. It's like it's squished all the way down and there's just there's no hope anymore. Yeah, there ain't nothing holding that damn back. The floodgates open. I know about the floodgates. And it's like a stress poop. Wait your turn. Wait your turn. Wait your turn wait your turn now wait your turn wait your turn
Starting point is 00:21:26 yeah wait your turn i'm still going i have two stories this one's not embarrassing birthday ever you have no idea yeah so it's not embarrassing because nobody was there but i had to poop in the woods i had to use in your house that you currently have? In the house I currently have. In those woods? In those woods. I mean, now you can't get back there because all the trees fell down. But that was way back there.
Starting point is 00:21:52 And I had to use leaves and everything. I did. I did. I did. And then I finally got in the house. And I don't remember how either. I have no idea how I got in. I think I broke the doors to get in.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Oh, my gosh. Because then you feel disgusting, obviously. Oh, my gosh. Because you usually swipe. Listen. You led with that story. Tom. I think I wanted to lead it for you next.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Oh, my gosh. Tom's got a really good one. Yes. I may share it. Okay. Okay. I may not because we only have 35 minutes. That's okay.
Starting point is 00:22:23 It's your birthday. It's your birthday. And it's. It's your birthday. It's your birthday. It's your birthday. Oh my gosh. I need tissue. Because I have makeup coming off my face. Towel. Okay, I mean, I guess I also have a poop one, but
Starting point is 00:22:36 my most embarrassing is when I shade my head because I had to walk around like that and live life like that. Oh my gosh. Why did you have to shave your head? Because I had to walk around like that and live life like that. Oh my gosh. Can you believe this day? Why did you have to shave your head? Because I had lice. A lot of it.
Starting point is 00:22:51 And I was so done. How did you get it? It was from that girl. Wasn't it? My next door neighbor? Yes. Wasn't it your next door neighbor? I'm pretty sure. Who gets it all the time.
Starting point is 00:23:01 Yeah. You knew better. Yeah. And yet. Yeah. You knew the day was going to come yeah and yet yeah you know the day was gonna come i know you knew the day this story is really painful for you to share oh listen it's it's like i remember when i came in and i looked over at her i like all the time who is that over there who is that to me you were what you said. Who is that? You said to me, you were like, oh, yeah, when I first saw you. Oh, I thought, look at that little girl.
Starting point is 00:23:30 She's beating cancer. That's why I said the little girl in the striped pajamas. She looked like she was a concentration camp victim. Oh, my gosh. It was rough. You did. It was. It was rough.
Starting point is 00:23:43 That's why I say don't use that one for your pictures for graduation. I know people wanted you to use it, but let's remember you in the good times, not in the bad times. That's a bad time. Sarah, Cher, thank you for this, by the way. I don't get embarrassed often because I don't care what people think. But I asked Derek. He could come up with nothing for me.
Starting point is 00:24:08 He's like, I don't ever remember you being embarrassed. And then I asked Tempest. She kind of helped me sort through. And I was like, you know what? There was one time when we were living at a house that we were renting and the stove wasn't working. The heating element or something went out on the stove. And so I had to message the property manager
Starting point is 00:24:29 because when something breaks and you're renting, like... They got to fix it. Yeah, they have to fix it. So I messaged her and I'm giving her all this information about the oven that's not working. And she messages me to unplug it and plug it back in. Okay. So I type this big long message to Derek that's like, you won't believe this woman.
Starting point is 00:24:53 She wants me to unplug. What an idiot. It's not a computer. What does she, who does she think I, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I went on and on and on. And instead of sending it to Derekerek i sent it back to the woman yep yeah that's embarrassing i've done it more than once where i send a message to somebody and then i didn't send it to the person that i thought i was sending it to and then i had to
Starting point is 00:25:21 yeah apologize or whatever. Did it work? No, it didn't work. We had to get a whole new oven. So this lady was an idiot for sure. But from that point on, I was never allowed to interact with the property manager. I told Derek, I said, Derek, it's all yours. They didn't prohibit you from just calling?
Starting point is 00:25:41 No, I just bowed out. I was like, I don't know if I can come back from that one. Yeah, that's a tough recovery. That's happened to me where people have. Oh, where they've sent it to you and you're talking about you. Yeah. I think it has happened to me once. It recently happened to us with a business.
Starting point is 00:26:04 They hate us and we weren't very fond of them because they didn't do a very good job. It's a big corporation, and we had been battling them for two years. They did just such a poor job. And so A. Travis was working with them, and he was asking them a question, and they got tired of us. As was asking them a question and they didn't,
Starting point is 00:26:26 they got tired of us. As much as we were tired of them, they were tired of us. So they had something to say and Derek, and then Travis writes back, was that meant for me? I'm like,
Starting point is 00:26:40 love it. Can you explain this? Is that, that's what he said. Was that meant for me? And if so, can you explain it? Someone that's what he said was that meant for me and if so can you explain it someone like that's like you go boy yep yep that's right that's right oh yeah this happens it happens it does it's embarrassing it's it's embarrassing that is true sarah that's embarrassing okay now vanessa and i want you to go very slowly
Starting point is 00:27:00 and do not do not remove one detail yeah i really don't like this question this is the best of the best now you have to start from the beginning okay to the end i feel like she needs to sit in my seat no it's okay i'm gonna have to relive this okay okay but before we go into my most embarrassing story, I need to give you some background information. The year was 2020. No, the year was 2010. I was like, 2020? The year was 2010, and I had just given birth.
Starting point is 00:27:40 As if this makes a difference. I had a C-section, okay? Which meant I was on heavy painkillers. OK. And when you're on heavy painkillers, just know that things get backed up. OK. You get constipated. So I was double fisting fiber one bars as if it were my job okay there might have been an enema involved as well that only scratched the surface okay i might not make it i might not make it fast forward my best friend at the time is getting married i am am her bridesmaid. Who's the pastor? Who's the one officiating?
Starting point is 00:28:28 Jeff is officiating the wedding and has a front row seat. I should have known. By the time I walked down the aisle, I tripped and fell to the ground. I should have left the wedding at that point. But I didn't. I should have left the wedding at that point. But I did it. I picked myself up. She's like Jennifer Aniston when she had to go to her ex-fiance's wedding
Starting point is 00:28:51 and walks out with the underwear and the dress. Yes. It only gets better. Yes. I picked myself off and got up, walked down the aisle. Thankfully everyone's watching the altar. But Jeff had a front row seat to my demise.
Starting point is 00:29:09 And so we get through the ceremony. And all of a sudden, my stomach starts hurting. And this pain is very familiar because it's the pain of, oh, I'm going to go. And it's going to be bad. Mind you, this wedding is taking place at a house, someone's house on their property. So the wedding was outside, ceremony outside, and then there was only one bathroom available for everyone
Starting point is 00:29:38 and there was about 100 people present. And so my stomach started doing its thing and I thought, I'm going to go. I didn't even tell Jeff that I was going to the bathroom. I gave, he was with, with Emma. Emma was with me. She's like two weeks old. I go to the bathroom and the floodgates open and I exploded. Okay. And then I was like, oh, all right. And I go to Okay. And then I was like, oh, all right. And I go to flush the toilet and I clog this thing.
Starting point is 00:30:12 The one, the only working toilet in the whole place. I clogged it. How did it smell in there? I start sweating, sweating. Oh yeah. I'm shaking because there's a line like 20 deep of people trying to
Starting point is 00:30:30 like use this bathroom and i'm locked in there's no bathroom there's no bathroom zero bathrooms and i refused to leave she was not coming out i was not coming out like this thing it was bad and so my husband saw this line had no idea where i was at the time but he saw that line how long how long because how long were you in there because a good 10 minutes it was longer maybe longer who knows i blacked out she was not coming out they were knocking on the doors she was not coming out what did she say when they knocked on the door? I don't know. She didn't say anything. She did not say anything.
Starting point is 00:31:09 She's not responding. She sat quiet. I love my husband. I know this story better than she does. I've heard it more than once. I love my husband because he saw that line and he said, my wife is in there. And he knocks on the door and he like he says Vanessa are you and I recognized his voice and I was like yes and I opened the door and he walks in and because it's a house it's like a full functioning bathroom so there's a shower
Starting point is 00:31:39 and he he's like looking for a plunger we can can't find a plunger. He goes into the shower. Oh my gosh. And he sees a loofah on a stick. There's no plunger. There's no plunger. He grabs that loofah and starts going to town and starts pumping and pumping. And there's like water splashing everywhere. And I'm mortified. He gets it.
Starting point is 00:32:07 He gets it down. We flush it. He looks at the loofah, rinses it, and then puts it back where he found it. It's too much. I splash water on my face. Because at this point, I am drenched in sweat. And then I grabbed. At this point, Emma is two weeks old on the floor.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Because we were trying our best. Oh, my gosh. To rectify this situation. I grab Emma. And then we all do the walk of shame. And we have to walk past 20 people who have heard everything.
Starting point is 00:32:55 I've made zero eye contact. Oh my gosh. And then we left the wedding. Oh my gosh. Did you ever tell this person? No. That is so nasty. That's so bad.
Starting point is 00:33:09 That is so nasty. That's so bad. That is so bad. It's so mean. I mean, it is mean not to like tell them we used your loofah. But it's so nasty. How do you do it? Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:33:22 Can you imagine? Every time I see a loofah on a stick I I'm triggered traumatized oh my gosh the plot of several movies is in that
Starting point is 00:33:35 literally I've seen it's dumb and dumber dumb and dumber can you imagine she's like in ecstasy like oh my gosh I'm finally going to the bathroom
Starting point is 00:33:43 and then and then the plot thickens. Oh my God. I want to make a movie out of this. I think we can. Will you star? Will you be the star in the show? The first time I heard that story, I literally, and if Jeff's doing it with her.
Starting point is 00:33:58 Oh man. Yeah. Something else. Oh my gosh. Holy crap. So dang funny. So thank you. Happy birthday to me.
Starting point is 00:34:08 It's one of my favorite stories of all time. That's what it was for. I don't need to tell Tom's story now because that one does it. You're good. I can't talk. I mean, Tom's is pretty funny, but we're not talking that. You know what? I'm addicted to you.
Starting point is 00:34:22 And then listen, 25 minutes and I will get to questions. I promise you. But it is my birthday, so i'm going to do this really quick um tracy's uh sister-in-law and brother doug and kayla turned me on to now this isn't the one they gave me but it's has have you guys had this water with salt it's 100,000 milligrams of salt, 200 potassium and 60 magnesium. Have you ever heard of this kind of thing? It's an electrolyte drink mix.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Vanessa told Jare about it. Did you give me this? She has those exact ones. I think your husband might have. I'm addicted to these. It's like liquid IV. That's what they were drinking. I'm addicted to these. Yeah, it's like liquid IV. Right. That's what they were drinking, liquid IV. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:35:09 People, this is called raspberry salt. It's L-M-N-T. What's this called? If you have these, what is this? Are you, what is that? Electrolytes, right? Electrolytes. Electrolytes.
Starting point is 00:35:22 So the ones that your brother and sister or sister-in-law i should say sister because you're actually probably more fond of her than you are your own brother but i'm just saying true um i don't know which one they have but it was what iv theirs is really good and then this lmnt i think jeff gave it to me oh my gosh i'm addicted to these especially since and d is right, when you're fasting because I just came off of fasting, like, oh my gosh, I feel a hundred times better. Yeah. I know. Jerry loves
Starting point is 00:35:52 them. He has them all the time. Especially in the salt. Especially how hot it is outside. If you live in Florida or anywhere where it gets really hot, these are like the jam. They are. You can thank me later. You'll want these, but that's what's in here. It is so dang good.
Starting point is 00:36:08 You do taste the salt, but the flavor is way better. Oh, my gosh, people. Yummy goodness. So this summer, get some of these liquid IV, whatever it is. Yeah, it's in the chat. You'll love it. So good. Let's go to our first question.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Do you guys have anything else you want to add? Thank you, Tempest. Tell her I said thank you for joining in. That was really good. That was. And if we ever do get to see my girl, I don't know what her name is, but I'd like to meet her more than I'd like to meet the president.
Starting point is 00:36:38 It's Mrs. Jones on TikTok. That's how I addressed her. But she did not respond to my message on TikTok or Instagram. Well, she might think we're crazy, which I get. I mean, she has like 1.3 million followers, so. She might not even see it yet. She probably gets a lot of messages. Probably.
Starting point is 00:36:55 I'd like to meet her more than the president of the United States. And that's saying something. Same. Really? Yes. I mean, yeah, that's true. I didn't mean it like that. Hello.
Starting point is 00:37:06 I mean, that's saying something in a negative way that I'd rather meet her. But yes, you could take it the other way too. Not good. Yeah. But she's, I like that girl. I know you do. She's so, I know. I went to sleep watching her last night.
Starting point is 00:37:18 You did. Before I put my head down. And then I sent you guys one of the ones I was watching. Yes. Yes, you did. Did it help you guys go to guys one of the ones I was watching. Yes, you did. Did it help you guys go to sleep? No, it made me hungry. Yes, always.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Thanks a lot. Did she put that thing in the crock pot for eight hours? I know. She actually, I know we watch her eat, but she actually does a cooking thing. She actually does a thing where she shows you how to cook. I know. She's actually good. I couldn't keep my eyes off of the steam.
Starting point is 00:37:49 I was like, oh, your food is so hot. So hot. She doesn't like it cold. She eats her food super hot. But even that was too hot. I don't know that. Not that you guys that are watching care, because we all know what we're talking about,
Starting point is 00:38:03 and you have no idea, which makes it super annoying to be watching us right now and not know what we're talking about but we can go to the question okay let's do it some of you guys though have told me like it doesn't matter you just laugh because we're idiots i get that but even still some of you guys that think it's annoying and i do get that too. So let's go. This is a good question. Will you help me study out Zechariah 3, 6 through 10? I'm desperate for some more context.
Starting point is 00:38:32 I need a scene set. How do I get to this point? I understand the temple is being rebuilt. What is Joshua the judge of? My house, my courts, which is part of the scripture. You have this one, right? No, I don't. But I'm ready. I'm ready for it.
Starting point is 00:38:48 I thought I did give you this one a long time ago. Which version? I have it. I did it under King James, or New King James, Zechariah 3, 6 through 10. Yep, got it. But now I'm concerned that I did some other scriptures with it. So I'm sorry if I did that to you, Tracy. It says, I was reading that God was literally giving Joshua permission to speak with the angels.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Any thoughts? What does it mean to give places to walk? What is the branch, and branches in all caps, what is the stone with seven eyes? I know this could easily take an entire podcast. Trust me, it won't. I got 20 minutes. But I would love, because I took up 40 minutes of it
Starting point is 00:39:28 just for my birthday and my own personal pleasure. I would love for you to share your notes and translation. Any Perry Stone's commentary would be helpful on this too. You know Perry Stone has something to say. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:40 Come on, girl. Come on. Of course. But let's read it. Zachariah 3, 6 through 10. Are you ready for me to do that? No, I'm not. Okay, just what I'm going to do is I'm going to pontificate until you are.
Starting point is 00:39:53 Perfect. Because I will tell you what I have to say about the one thing. Okay, so what I'm going to tell you is the greatest way for you to be able to set the scene, which is what you're asking is, studying scripture is hugely important. And so when I study scripture, a lot of times I always go down to the bottom and I read what the study notes tell me. But I also am famous for going to Perry Stone. I probably do that probably more than I do anything else. But I also, I do go to the Matthew Henry commentary. Now you can, like, growing up,
Starting point is 00:40:40 we had a Matthew Henry commentary book. But now you can go on the internet and you can get it for free. Or you can pay. Like I pay on Bible Gateway. So I pay on Bible Gateway to get like I don't know how many commentaries. It's a lot.
Starting point is 00:41:01 And then I have several different study Bibles that I can pull the study notes from, from all different types of Bibles. That's one of the reasons why I know which ones are good for the most part and which ones are no bueno. So, and then you have, they'll even have like historian notes, which is Josephus and stuff like that. So if you ever want to know that kind of stuff,
Starting point is 00:41:25 then go to a Matthew Henry. Go to a, go to a, find some good, you got to be careful, but find some good Bibles with some good study notes, and then obviously go to Josephus. And then maybe you'll find some other stuff too that you really like. But commentaries are super important, which I'm going to tell you what Matthew Henry says about this as far as commentary goes.
Starting point is 00:41:53 But let's read it first. Are you ready for me? Yep. So Zechariah 3, 6 through 10 says, The coming branch, then the angel of the Lord, and monastery Joshua, saying, Thus says the Lord of hosts, If you walk in my ways, and if you will keep my command, It says, who sit before you. For there are a wondrous sign. For behold, I am bringing forth my servant, the branch. Does yours have it all caps? Yep.
Starting point is 00:42:30 For behold, the stone that I have laid before Joshua, upon the stone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave its inscription, says the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. And in that day, says the Lord of hosts, everyone will invite his neighbor under his vine and under his fig. And a lot of people are like, I have no idea what that's talking about. And a lot of people will think that that's Joshua, the one that took the Israelites and put them into the promised land.
Starting point is 00:42:59 And so that's why it's really important for you to study the word out, because you need to know, like, who are we talking about? What is the scene that's being set? That was a great way to say that, like, as far as what's going on. Like, who are we talking to? Where are we at? That kind of thing. It's super important. Then if you understand it, then the Bible comes alive. And then on top of that, when you read this scripture,
Starting point is 00:43:24 a lot of people don't understand this is prophetic. So there's things that pertain to that time right then. And then there's things in that scripture that pertain to the future and that will solidify your walk. A lot of times people just read over that stuff and they're like, they don't take the time to find out its meaning or the purpose behind it so they just read because they got to get their one chapter in for the day okay what's the point in reading if you don't understand what you read conceptual understanding is super important and to study it and to to know what you're reading and the reason you're the reason it was written the word was written for us so that we could
Starting point is 00:44:06 have a more grounded faith and that we would understand where we come from, who we are, where we're going. And if you just read it to get your one chapter in or your 30 minutes in just to get it done, don't waste your time. Don't waste your time. Don't even bother because you're not like you could be spending that 30 minutes doing something far more important that you get more out of than wasting your time. Just reading something that you don't even remember. Remember 30 minutes later. If that doesn't make sense, ladies. Most people read the Bible.
Starting point is 00:44:38 They'll read their one chapter. And if you ask them right after they're done reading it, what did you just read? They'd be like, I don't know. Don't waste your time. I mean, if that's what you can give God, don't waste his time. What's the point? He ain't worthy enough to get you to really sit down,
Starting point is 00:44:58 comprehend, and give him your all in all. Go spend your time better for yourself. That sounds harsh and that sounds mean. And I mean it just like I said it, because he's worthy for far more than that. And spiritually speaking, you need to give yourself more than that. Because the things that we walk through in this life, a lot of times we walk through them and we deal with them and we take such lows. We go through such deep valleys and high highs. When in all actuality, if we knew our word, we never walk through a valley
Starting point is 00:45:35 and we would never climb the mountain and expect to stay there and be defeated when we're not. We learn to be like Paul, being content in all things and being stable in all our ways. And that's what the word tells us we're supposed to be. But if we don't know the word, then we are like on a roller coaster. And that's very dangerous. Eventually, you're going to fall off. And that doesn't mean you'll get back on because a lot of people fall off and the parable of the sower is very accurate. Most people fall away and they don't come back. So get into the word, know why you believe what you believe, and then you'll stay. The odds of you ever walking away are slim to none. The more you know the word, the more you'll want to stick
Starting point is 00:46:15 with it. So setting the scene is a vision. So what Matthew Henry says about this is a vision relating to Joshua as the representative of the church in his time, representing the disadvantages he labored under and the people in him with the redress of the grievances of both. That sounds pretty familiar of the church. And that's the way it is. Things don't change. Your next two questions are things don't change, even though it might be a different time period and a different era. People are people. things don't change, even though it might be a different time period and a different era. People are people.
Starting point is 00:46:47 Things don't change. So you wanted to know, what is Joshua the judge of? My house, my courts. What does that mean? So Matthew Henry says, thou shalt judge my house. Thou shalt preside in the affairs of the temple, and the inferior priest shall be under thy direction. Note, the power of the church and the church rulers
Starting point is 00:47:05 are not a legislate are not a legislative but only a judicial power the high priest might not make any new laws for god's house nor ordain any other rights of the worship than what god has ordained but he must judge god's house that is he must see to it that god's law and the ordinances are punctually observed must protect and encourage those that did observe them and and inquire So the priest, that's his job. Now, most people don't like that pastors do this. The job of priest has not changed. That's what Joshua's job is and most pastors' jobs are. Most pastors don't do this, though.
Starting point is 00:47:44 Because if they do it, then people leave or they stop giving or there are consequences that must, you know, that they'll that they'll have to endure. A good pastor or priest, in this case, Joshua, took his job, saw it, did it. And dealt with the consequences and knew that he was doing what God's word told him to do. Thou shalt also keep my courts. That's what this means. Thou shalt have oversight of what is done in all the courts of the temple and shall keep them pure and in good order
Starting point is 00:48:18 for the worship to be performed in them. Note ministers are God's stewards and they are to keep his courts in honor of him who is the chief Lord and for the preserving of equity in them. Note, ministers are God's stewards, and they are to keep his courts in honor of him, who is the chief Lord and for the preserving of equity and good order among his tenants. So if you want to go in ministry, if you want to lead a group of people, do you not think that that scripture is very powerful? But if you don't study it, I mean, if you're leading any kind of like, we have what we call hubs here. They're, they're, they, each hub has a leader. So, or leaders.
Starting point is 00:48:52 So if you're leading a group that pertains to you to a certain extent, ultimately it pertains to Tom because he's the, the leader or the chief priest or whatever you want to say. He's the lead pastor. So ultimately it is his job. But if you like Vanessa and Tracy do something in Vanessa's home, ultimately anything and everything they answer for. And I've talked to them about this,
Starting point is 00:49:21 but and even so much like Sarah, Sarah's is done in the church. In those settings, not that they control those settings, but they're responsible to have control over those settings. Correct. Because they're the ones that are answering for them. Yep. So if things are done that are not, not biblically based, they're going to either have to correct them or they're going to have to answer to God for them. And so if you take a leadership position, you need to know, like, it's not a joke. And a lot of people are like, oh, I got a position. You might not want it. Because the responsibility level of holding that position and what God expects of you, which we just read.
Starting point is 00:50:07 It's very, it's like people, people a lot of times go into things because they think that people are all over them or there's a power that that comes with it or there's a popularity that they feel like that position holds or they'll be in with a certain crowd. You get that position and you pretty much are like, oh, that's crap. It's nothing. It's worthless. Because then you understand if you're doing it right, you understand the impact that it can have, good or bad, the responsibility level that you carry and that can be good or bad,
Starting point is 00:50:47 and the answering that you will be responsible for doing to leadership that's above you, because everybody has a leader above them. I don't care who you are. Even Tom does. I mean, Pastor Rodney answers to people. Everybody answers to somebody, and ultimately God.
Starting point is 00:51:05 So you better be able to answer to anyone that you're accountable to in good conscience and know that you've done everything that you can do to perform at the highest level righteously as the word ordains. So that scripture right there is very good. But a lot of people just read over that and they don't even think it applies to them. It absolutely applies to a lot of people. Next question. What does it mean to give places to walk?
Starting point is 00:51:33 I will give these places to walk on those that stand by. Oh, yeah, I'll get to that. Among these angels that are inspectors and assistants in this installment, they shall stand by while Joshua is at work for God and shall be as a guard to him, and he shall be highly honored and respected by an angel of God. Which you can see this in Galatians 4.14. Ministers are called angels. Revelations 1.20 says that.
Starting point is 00:51:58 Those that walk in God's ways may be said to walk among the angels themselves, for they do the will of God as the angels do it, and that are in heaven and are their fellow servants, Revelation 19.10. Some make it a promise of eternal life and of a reward of his fidelity in the future state. Heaven is not only a place, a place to repose in, but a paradise, a garden, a place to walk in.
Starting point is 00:52:25 And there are walks among the angels in society with the holy and glorious company. So the last thing I'm going to tell you, I'm going to read to you really quickly. What Perry Stone says. Hey, listen, I got like I. I have a marker for my... Do you guys like bookmarks? Yes. I love bookmarks.
Starting point is 00:52:49 Girls, do you like bookmarks out there? I don't know. I love bookmarks. So I went to this wedding. I went to this wedding of this... They're just a cute couple. They come to the church. And their gifts for each person, bookmarks. Oh, those are cute.
Starting point is 00:53:11 Yeah. Oh, you can't really see it. I pull towards you. There you go. Yeah. It's a little bright. That, I mean, they're really cute. They are really cute.
Starting point is 00:53:23 With the little key. I know. The key to their heart. But then they did these little bright. That, I mean, they're really cute. They are really cute. With the little key. I know. The key to their heart. Aw. But then they did these little tags. Super cute. I was like, that's a great idea. Anybody getting married, anybody needing any, like, what do you call those things?
Starting point is 00:53:35 Yeah. Tables. Yeah. Like, look at that. That's so cute. That's cute. I love it. Yeah, I like that.
Starting point is 00:53:43 So, I took Tom's. Of course. As I normally do. I take his crap. Yeah. That's cute. I love it. Yeah, I like that. So I took Tom's, as I normally do. I take his crap. Yeah. Fine. He's not going to use it. Nope. So let's read. So it says,
Starting point is 00:53:58 Many scholars interpret the branch to be an epithet of the coming Messiah, as Isaiah wrote. And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots. I have my blue glasses on, not my clear glasses, so that's not good. So this is prophecy of Christ coming. So it just isn't for at that time, but it's prophetic word for the future. I'm going to try and stick with this because it makes it hard for me to read with this tented, but whatever. And there should come out of the rod out of the stem of Jesse and a branch shall come out of his roots.
Starting point is 00:54:38 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him and the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord, which is Isaiah 11, 1 through 2. Psalm 132.17 says that. And then we're going to go to Jeremiah 23, 5, which says, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will rise unto David a righteous branch, and a king shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. So when we see the word branch, not always, but a lot of times, branch is significant for Jesus. According to Zechariah, a man called the Branch will rebuild the temple, which we see in Zechariah 6.12, and this prophecy about the Branch
Starting point is 00:55:30 is a double reference prediction as the primary builders of the Jewish temple in Zechariah's day was Zerubbabel and Joshua. However, another temple will be built during the time
Starting point is 00:55:42 of the millennial reign of Christ, and this temple will be directed under the leadership of the Messiah, the branch. So as in that time, Zerubbabel and Joshua are building this temple. It's prophetic. The scripture is prophetic about the temple that Jesus will build in the future. Zechariah's symbolic reference to the stone is also linked to the coming Messiah. The stone with the seven eyes foreshadows the Lamb, which is Jesus, with seven horns and eyes found in Revelation and symbolizing Christ, which is Revelation 5-6. The prophecies dealing with
Starting point is 00:56:19 the stumbling stone and the rock of offense are found in Psalm 118-22, Isaiah 8 which the builders rejected, which we know is Jesus, became the chief cornerstone of the church. Matthew 21, 42 and Ephesians 9, 2, 19 through 22 say that. Zacharias' description of the seven eyes on the stone could also reflect a custom in the ancient East where the foundation stones of the temples were carved with a message from the builders, the Lord's watching over the entire process
Starting point is 00:56:56 from the laying of the foundation to the completion of his house in Jerusalem. That's powerful. So as a famous ark pastor said, I hope you enjoyed me unpacking that for you. But that was a very deep scripture that had lots of meaning. And it's good that you were like, I need to understand this. Yeah, everybody needs to understand scripture. And if you, listen, sometimes you might not get through studying out a whole chapter. You might only be able to study out a few verses, but it'd be better for you to study
Starting point is 00:57:33 out those few verses, have a stronger understanding of the word than to read a whole chapter and not really know what it meant. And just for reference too, a lot of people say Jesus was a carpenter, but what people don't realize is there's a reason why Jesus says he's the cornerstone. He's the cornerstone that the builders rejected. Carpenters in that day were stone makers. He was not like a carpenter that made things with wood. No, he was a carpenter, and carpenters made things with like wood. Okay. No, he was a carpenter and carpenters made things with stone. And that is significant.
Starting point is 00:58:10 So again, study your word so that you understand when Jesus says things, that they're significant and they mean something. Like there's a deeper meaning to him saying that he's the stone that the builders rejected. He understands that. He talked in things in parables that were common for that day. So it's super important to understand that. Now, I have a minute left, minute 40, but I'm going to do one more question after this,
Starting point is 00:58:36 but I'm going to do my sponsor really quick because I want to do this one last question that I think it will be very interesting for some. It won't take very long for me to do the one question, but super important. So my sponsor, put her little picture up there. Go now. Laura Keller. She is with Real Estate Appraisal Associates with Southwest Florida Inc. She's been in business since 2005. She's a Florida state certified residential appraiser and has been for 24 years Now listen
Starting point is 00:59:05 It's really great to help somebody start out In their new business But depending on what it is You might want to go with somebody Who has a little bit of expertise In the area in which you're needing it If you want to get your nails done Go to a newbie
Starting point is 00:59:21 I don't suggest you get your hair done And colored by a newbie That's kind of scary. Okay? So let's pick who we're going to, like, super important that, you know, when you're picking, especially with the most expensive purchase that you'll ever make in your whole entire life, you might want to pick somebody who has a little bit of expertise in the area.
Starting point is 00:59:40 They have three locations, Lakewood Ranch, Port Charlotte, and Tampa, and she can also assist anywhere. She also assist anyone at any time or anywhere. She has a fourth location being put together and going to be opened. I don't know when, but I'm sure she'll tell us soon when that's going to happen. It'll be in downtown Englewood. She is one of the most trusted appraisal companies in southwest Florida. They have done over 10,000 appraisals. They are approved and work with over 300 banks, lenders, and government entities all over the United States. If you have something somewhere that's not in this region or area,
Starting point is 01:00:17 you might want to reach out to her because whether or not she can help you, she probably can refer somebody to you. So I'm sure she has some trusted companies she works with as well her company does appraisals for just about everything residential properties up to four units they work with fema using the 50 rule they do settling of estates probate situations inherited properties where the air our heirs are not local and need the appraisal for their attorney, step-up in business appraisal for capital gains taxes, which we all know and love and hate, and they also provide assistance in selling properties.
Starting point is 01:00:54 And I'm just telling you, again, I told you I was a realtor. You want to sell your property fast? Get a real appraisal on it. And then you can show that appraisal to the perspective the true perspective buyer and then they in turn can also use that with their lender and you can close and get things done a lot faster depending on how long that appraisal has you know been before you sell it so it's a good idea call her she'll help you out and if she doesn't maybe i mean she probably can answer questions that you never
Starting point is 01:01:25 even thought about and then you realize then you will realize i need i need to get uh something in writing and get it done quick so that is it for that but let us go to my last question which listen i found this question very interesting and maybe you guys know about it, but in my walk of life, we did not have it. It says, what are your thoughts on godparents? Is that part of a Catholic religion? Is that part of a Catholic religion, Sarah? I didn't have godparents. Yes, and I think in the Methodist church, because they baptize babies.
Starting point is 01:02:03 There are other religions, I just don't know them, but it might be Methodist. I know Catholic and Methodist, both babies are baptized and they have somebody like as a witness there. And those are the God parents. Interesting. So this person says, uh,
Starting point is 01:02:19 my family and in-laws or my family and laws being Hispanic assigned God parents, but they grew up pentacle. What is pentacle? I didn't look that up. It's a word, but I don't know if it's a, I don't know. I don't know if they were saying Pentecostal, but they put pentacle. Is this biblical? And if it's not, do we continue to identify our kids' godparents as godparents?
Starting point is 01:02:42 Now that we are saved, that title doesn't mean that much to us anymore. So they must have been former Catholic or something. I'm going to tell you it's not in the Bible. I didn't even know why godparents were godparents. That's why I was asking you about being Catholic. Yeah, it's basically like if your parents were to die,
Starting point is 01:03:00 those are the people who were supposed to take care of you. And they're also supposed to spiritually be your parents. That's what it is right there. So you can be godparents, but you don't have legal rights to them. I looked it up. So people will pick people to be godparents that they won't even necessarily say raise my children.
Starting point is 01:03:21 But what they do say is they are they are picking you because spiritually you are this is why i'm not saying that this is why this person picked their kids godparents sometimes it's just because it's your best friends and you like want to bless them and say we love you and which i i know that that does happen but a true godparent was meant to be somebody who would spiritually raise your child up in the faith so that when they would have questions or they would go to church with them
Starting point is 01:03:52 that they would be able to grow them in that denominational faith that you believed in. Now you're not Catholic anymore and I don't know where you go to church but you have to know us.
Starting point is 01:04:07 So we'll just say it's Pentecostal, right? So now those people that you have as godparents, well, you're not going to have them raise your kids because you probably picked them because they were Catholic. Maybe they are nothing, though. Or maybe you just picked them because you're a friend. I say this, and you guys can tell me if you disagree. I actually like the whole godparents thing.
Starting point is 01:04:29 Like, I wouldn't reject it. I wouldn't, like, say don't do it. I would actually still keep, if they were your godparents, pick your kids' godparents. The only thing is, is I wouldn't allow them, if something were to happen to you, which, if you're like us, nothing's going to happen to you because you believe for 120 or a long life will he give you. You'll probably outlast those godparents. But I don't think that there's anything wrong with it. I think it's just something special
Starting point is 01:04:55 that like sometimes my kids, when they were really little, we had super close friends and we let them call those people aunts and uncles. Were they really aunt and uncle no they weren't but they were close enough to them it's kind of the same thing to me it's nothing uh and people i don't think really think of godparents anymore as people who raise their kids in a faith correct yeah they're all the peanut gallery over there i don't know where is that yeah she's over there yeah i don't Is that like? I feel the same way about it. I grew up up north, so Catholic was a huge, everybody was Catholic up north because Massachusetts everybody was, but everybody had godparents and it was more just like they got you a special gift on your birthday.
Starting point is 01:05:35 You got like an extra present. They were kind of like an aunt and uncle, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Do you have godparents, Tal? No. Yeah. I don't either.
Starting point is 01:05:42 Do you? Do you, Sarah? I have godparents, but they are also my mom's sister and her husband. So they were my aunt and uncle. And so if something happened to them, more than likely you were supposed to go to them because they're family, correct? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:55 But I honor her and him like on Mother's Day and Father's Day. Like I send them cards as my godmother and godfather. Yeah. See, that makes sense to me, though. Yeah. I like it. i don't think so i say keep it there you go i mean even though you become if you were catholic christianity and catholicism in my opinion are somewhat night and day yeah tom even says it's not even close but it also depends on where
Starting point is 01:06:27 you went and who taught you because i know people who have had priests that were very much like um pastors that are in i mean i've seen some priests they were they're like serious biz they're they like talk like tom does so i will not say across the board that it's like that because that's not true a lot of the the people that i know and the catholic churches that they've gone to it's more encouraged that we'll tell you what the bible says it's more traditional it's more like i don't know lots of rules lots of regulations a lot of sit down, stand up, fight, fight, fight. Like, not really. Right.
Starting point is 01:07:10 Not like us. So it is night and day to a certain extent, depending on where you grow up. You might be different. I get that. And it might be true. But even still, I would hang on to it. I wouldn't change anything. Girls?
Starting point is 01:07:25 I feel like we need a stamp that goes hope approved. And we put it on the screen. Hope approved. You can still do it. It's allowed. I'm okaying it. I'll allow it. But if I say no,
Starting point is 01:07:40 I better not see you doing it. Exactly. That's good Alrighty we're good One more thing Okay let's do it Ready What the what
