Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello and welcome to the Hope Hotline. How are you guys doing today? So good. Friday. So good. We lost Sarah but we gained Vanessa. Yes we did. We swapped. So you know what? It doesn't really matter. It's all good. Interchangeable. That's it. It's a great team all the time. Yeah. Welcome back Vanessa. Thank you. You're all tanned. It's good to be back. Yes. Lord have mercy you're all good to be back yes lord's a mercy you're tan well you know is that tanning bed or is that i think it's a combo tanning bed spray tan and then like uv like straight up mexico yeah yeah so like are you doing the as norma would say, UB tanning bed. Oh. There's a difference.
Starting point is 00:01:05 UBB. What is it, Tracy? The UVB and UVA. Those are two different things that you get. Oh, then I'm saying it wrong. So she's, I'm messing up what Norma's saying. UVB. Is that what you get when you, yeah, okay. Okay, which is supposed to be healthier?
Starting point is 00:01:21 We'll have to phone a friend, which would be Natalie, to find out if this is actually true that's true phone a friend i'm dating myself i phone a friend but i like phone a friend you know what that's from from millionaire millionaire yes that's right girls i say that all the time i wanted to do that during family fluid i was like can i phone a friend like the people in the front row somebody help me oh my gosh they were yelling out the answers i know it's when you're saying stop well i couldn't really hear them i just thank god yeah when you're up there i couldn't even hear what pastor tom was saying it's so weird it's like the way the speakers like go out like
Starting point is 00:01:54 it's so yeah i'm sure i mean you know i literally said to heather i'm like can you hear what he's saying i know i don't understand everybody's like laughing i'm like i know i was just laughing because they were laughing i don't know what they were saying i had no idea and when he would turn around to us i was like okay he's talking to us okay yeah well that's why that's why one of the girls on the um other team yeah said the same thing as you guys because they can't hear you oh yeah so they couldn't hear what you said oh that's why she said the same thing that happened to us the following year. Yeah, that's it. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:02:29 You guys need in-ears so that you can hear each other. That's exactly what we need. Yeah, but they thought we cheated this past year. Whatever. Everybody in the sound. I mean, did you? No. I didn't even know, but I told them, do not have those cards sitting out anywhere.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Last year, I got in trouble for telling Tom to keep the thing to his chest because I could see the card. I know. I know. And he thought I was like busting on them. I'm like, well, kind of. It's for both of us because I know like I could see the answers, but I never looked like I purposely was like, I'm big on not cheating. I don't like cheating. Like, what's
Starting point is 00:03:05 the point of winning then yeah did you really win yeah right no you didn't so like if I'm gonna win I'm gonna win legit I mean true because what there's no real win but yeah that's the reason why because I was like can you like and I told him this past this this last one coming up I'm like dude like you gotta like watch it because we all can read. If you hold them out too far, we can read. Yeah. I don't want to cheat. Check your heart.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Some of those answers, though, were like... They weren't hard. No, this year was much better. I felt like I didn't freeze. I wasn't like... The first year, I was like, superheroes? I don't know. I wasn't like yeah the first year I was like oh man superheroes I don't know I have no idea what that either no I don't want I thought I thought these questions were way easier yeah this is much better thinking I cannot believe these are our questions this is
Starting point is 00:03:55 freaking awesome I know I was so good for those of you don't know what we're talking about we're talking about family fluid yeah the ladies the ladies conference you can go back and watch it it's hysterical flipping hilariouslipping hilarious. Yeah. So funny. But I told the girls, I told Adalys and Magalys, I've got to think of something else. When I bring that back, I think they're happy about that. I don't really think they want to do that again. I'm very happy about that.
Starting point is 00:04:15 There has to be something else, though. Like another game. Something. Yeah. I'm working on it. I've been thinking. I've been working on it. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:04:24 Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Who wants to be a millionaire? All the girls with briefcases? Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Wait. So I got to bring a bunch of hoes down onto the stage. Oh, I'll be one hoe.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Then we can dress nice. No. Yeah, it'll be the Christian version. Yes. The sanctified. The Christian with the little things on the top of their version. The sanctified. With the little things on the top of their heads. The sanctified version.
Starting point is 00:04:49 All the way down to their feet. Talia wants to be the hoe. Oh my gosh. I want to be like. The hoe dates myself. Great. Whatever. Okay. Whatever. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Okay. Um, I don't know. Vanessa, I want to hear her story. Yeah, we're going to. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Okay. Okay. I just want to go back to the sun. Do you really want to hear the story? Yes. But, but I got to go back to really quick for people who want to use, there's two different kinds of tanning beds.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Tell them the difference in the tanning beds, and then we'll move on. Two different? So, listen, everybody. Natalie's on. I'm not. Natalie, you on? Okay, Natalie.
Starting point is 00:05:32 We're phoning a friend. Hey, Natalie, real quick. That's true. Tanning bed UV. Tell me all about it. UV-B. There's two. UV-B and UV-A. Okay, so this is the conspiracy that I heard is that they were
Starting point is 00:05:47 making a lot of money off of the tanning beds. And so whoever was conspiracy, is that they said that the tanning beds were really bad and people were getting cancer from it. But just like with suntan lotion, as most of us know, suntan lotion is not good for you. And so there's better. Oh, I didn't know that know that yeah well yeah i do know that your skin is your largest organ and so when you're putting all this lotion on you and it's chemicals it's not good for you so really you should be eating better right natalie if you eat like very clean you're not going to get burnt to the level that we get burnt so there's like all this science do you know anything about the science of eating? No,
Starting point is 00:06:29 no. Okay. So it's very interesting. So how you eat is really why you get burnt or like, that's why I get crispy. Yes, it is. And so, so, but there is like coconut oil, Natalie, whenever you're prepared, you can come on with your information or we can fact check. Coconut oil is supposed to be really good for you and tallow, I believe, right? Tallow is good for you as well. So, um, they're now making sunscreen out of tallow right i just ordered some on instagram i'm gonna get some for tom yeah yeah i'll send you a link okay please can you also send me what the tallow that you got me for my birthday please oh yes because i got some and it smells like pure beef and i'm gonna vomit i put it on i nearly got sick i do not want to smell like a cow going to bed. I mean, my husband loves cows, but I don't want to smell like a cow. I'm not trying to throw down some beef.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Well, I don't know. Change my thought. Okay. So I don't have enough facts for this moment to give all my details, but I know that there is a UVB ultraviolet A, UVA and UVB ultraviolet B. And there's two different things. And one of them is like when I go to the tanning bed and I spray my sun in and my hair, it does not get blonde. But when I spray the sun in outside, my hair gets very blonde. You can see. So there's something different going on with the UVB slash UVA. So when I was researching it, I saw one was different than the other. But I can't remember exactly the details of it.
Starting point is 00:07:50 And ChatGPT is kind of saying the opposite of what I saw. So I don't want to say anything else. Plus, the thing is, is like ChatGPT is great, but they also are not conspiracy theorists most of the time. So they're going to say what's out there. So if everybody's telling us tanning beds are bad, then it's going to tell us tanning beds are bad. But I've heard the exact opposite, that there is a money issue and people were getting less money. Again, I don't remember exactly the details, but it's super interesting. It was enough for me to be like, oh, a bunch of lies again. They lied to us again about tanning beds now.
Starting point is 00:08:26 And so all this like cancer rates went up and blah, blah, blah. Like it actually isn't accurate at all. That I do believe. And by the way, your hair looks fantastic. Thank you, guys. Your daughter's being skilled in the art. I know. She just got her first job at a salon.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Oh, so fun. So she's going to be being a little helper girl. And she's been praying about that. And they, it was really cool. God totally orchestrated that for her. So good. She's just doing all the things. Natalie did chime in. Okay. There are different UV lights, but typically they are bad to some degree
Starting point is 00:08:59 as an aging skin faster due to high intensities for a shorter duration. So. I'm out. It all ages. But that's, yeah. So it would be like going out in the sun and stuff. But if you go like this all the time in the sun too,
Starting point is 00:09:13 you're going to get wrinkly. True. That's why you're supposed to wear sun, like sun protection glasses, eyeglasses. So you're not like sunglasses. I never do either. Oh,
Starting point is 00:09:22 but you have blue eyes. How do you do it? It's, I can't even see. You just like But you have blue eyes. How do you do it? I can't even see. You just condition your eyes. And sun exposure to your eyes is very good. True. So at the right level. Really?
Starting point is 00:09:38 Yeah. It does get difficult. That would be if I said, oh, it's not a big deal. It bothers me sometimes. Does it bother you, Vanessa? No, not at all. I can look directly at the sun. I can too.
Starting point is 00:09:50 But I think it's because I have like chocolate brown eyes. That's so crazy. I can't even go outside when like the ground's white. I'm like. Oh yeah, it's blinding. I can't even see anything. Oh yeah, I see spots. Okay, so Natalie said only morning and evening sun for eyes. So
Starting point is 00:10:06 like when the sun is rising and the sun is setting. Otherwise you're supposed to have sunglasses on. Natalie, sunglasses. So when I was out at Boca Grande, Russell Brand was out there and he was out during the sunset staring into the sunset. Was he doing it? And he was doing his thing. Yes. Yes, he was. Was that before he was a Christian? No. That was after. He wasn't doing this thing, but he was sitting Indian style with his kids, and he was definitely looking out to the sun. Oh, he might
Starting point is 00:10:36 have been meditating on the Lord. Maybe. Yeah. He probably finds meditation very calm. It didn't look right. Which it is. It is. If you do it right i'm not telling yeah thank you venice i'm about to say i'm not telling people to meditate but we are to meditate on the lord we are absolutely so there is the right way and there's the wrong way amen i just don't want people thinking i'm telling people to meditate and don't like chant or like do no
Starting point is 00:10:58 chanting don't make it weird come on don't make it weird have you ever gone where they did the drum the you there's a guy down there. No. Yes. Oh, yeah. Get behind me, Satan. Oh, yeah. No. I've seen it.
Starting point is 00:11:08 With the drum? Yep. That's a little too much for me. It's weird, man. It's weird. Natalie says no sunglasses, by the way. Oh. Natalie, I can't survive.
Starting point is 00:11:20 You can. I can't. I try. Death and life are in the power of your tongue. Tracy. Yes, you can. Thanks. I tell you really quick. No, I can't.
Starting point is 00:11:33 I can't. I'm so sorry, guys. Yes, you can. Red light therapy. Also, my panel just came in today. So it's like red light therapy. What are you talking about? Do you have red light therapy? I don't know what that is. Okay. It's infrared red light therapy. I don't know what that is. Okay. It's infrared red light therapy. It's great for skin inflammation. Where do you get this?
Starting point is 00:11:53 So we ordered ours from a website, but it just arrived today and I'm so excited. And you do like 20 minutes in the morning and you can do another 20 minutes in the evening. And it's supposed to like get rid of all the free radicals in your body inflammation speak of like it isn't for a whole body like so this panel that we got if you like sit in front of it it can it can penetrate your whole body yeah i'll let you know it came in today tracy does it she has a machine that she does where she's done with me it's It's red light on my face. Oh, on your face? I see her next week.
Starting point is 00:12:29 I'm going to have to talk to her about this. When it comes to recovery from injury, Natalie said. She said you'll get used to it, by the way. I don't believe you, Natalie. I'm sorry. I feel like we need Natalie again to come back on. Give her all of our questions. Natalie, come here real quick.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Wait. Okay. So Jare and I have one. Oh, my gosh. He sent that. Oh, my gosh. He sent that in the we have a youth group chat. And so he said happy birthday to whoever.
Starting point is 00:12:58 I forget who it was. But that's ours. That's what we have. I don't know what it's doing with that whole beard. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Yeah. Is that for your face only? Yeah. That one is. That's what we have. I don't know what it's doing with that whole beard. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Yeah. Is that for your face only?
Starting point is 00:13:07 Yeah. That one's for your face. Yeah. That one's for your face. Okay. Yeah. I hope so. Cause he's,
Starting point is 00:13:15 he's, that's, that's all anti-aging. He's going to have like the best skin. I mean his beard. I don't know. Although when you go to your gym and somebody asks you if you're Jerry, Jerry's mother, then that
Starting point is 00:13:25 means it's on purpose. Oh, my gosh. What? You missed that yesterday. Okay, she's sweet as pumpkin pie. She's a trainer, and she actually thought I was Jer's mother. Wow. Twice.
Starting point is 00:13:36 I would be 14 giving birth to Jer. Do you want to hear something? Someone thought I was Naz's mother. What? Okay. How in the world? How? How?
Starting point is 00:13:48 Can you explain that? She is pale as can be. And a blonde. A beach blonde. Literally. Yeah. I don't see that. How?
Starting point is 00:13:57 I just looked at that person like, what? No. What world? Do you live in? God bless. That doesn't even make sense. God bless you.
Starting point is 00:14:07 That helps me with the whole Jera thing. I ain't going to lie to you. I'm glad you brought that up. I mean, when people ask me if I'm Heather's mother, okay, that makes sense. Makes sense. That makes complete sense to me. Right. We look alike.
Starting point is 00:14:21 We act alike. I could have had her. Like I've been a young mother, but legitimately, not 14. We look alike. We act alike. Yeah. I'm old. I could have had her. Yeah. Like I've been a young mother. Yeah. But legitimately, not 14. No.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I legitimately. So for me, I'm like, that makes sense. I would have had to have Naz in utero in order for me to be her mom. Maybe not. Seven. Seven years old. Super funny.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Okay. So tell us your story and then we'll get going on so many things, because we got some great questions today. Tell us the story. I want to hear it. All right, guys.
Starting point is 00:14:55 I almost had to bail my husband out of a Mexican jail. Oh, my gosh. No, for real. For real? Like, for real, for real. For real, for real. Oh, my gosh. All right. Are you scared or what? I was there i was sweating what's that saying like a like a prostitute in church
Starting point is 00:15:14 oh wow yes that's really hot yeah that's a lot of sweat okay so we're getting ready to get back home we're at the airport you know we're doing our thing we're getting ready to get back home. We're at the airport, you know, we're doing our thing. We're at security and Jeff puts his, his backpack is his luggage on the conveyor belt. And then his backpack gets flagged. And I'm like, Oh, he probably packed a water or something like that. Sure enough, the security, the TSA agent comes over to us and he's like, sir, is this your bag? We're like, yeah, that's our bag. We're calling the police.
Starting point is 00:15:51 And I'm like, what is happening right now? And this is Mexico, okay? They don't love us right now, okay? As Americans. And I'm like, oh my gosh. And they were like, sir, we found bullets
Starting point is 00:16:07 in your backpack. And I was just like, what? And he's like, oh, I take this backpack shooting all the time. So we,
Starting point is 00:16:18 we flew out of Fort Myers and they didn't find it. Like we, his backpack went through TSA and security to go from Fort Myers to Mexico and it didn't find it. Like we, his backpack went through TSA and security to go from Fort Myers to Mexico
Starting point is 00:16:28 and it didn't get flagged. But it did get flagged in Mexico. So we're standing there and he's like, you have to wait here for the police, la policia. And I'm like, oh man, okay. And it took about 30 minutes. And by this point, I'm already developing a plan in my head, okay?
Starting point is 00:16:46 I was like, okay, where is the U.S. Embassy? Because I'm going to have to fight to get my man out of jail because I'm not leaving Mexico without my man. Like, I was going to fight to get him out. I wouldn't have been worried about that. I'd be more worried about missing my flight. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:17:01 I wasn't getting on that plane without him. Oh, my gosh gosh but that was also a thought too and so finally the the policia comes and they like grill jeff and this is not the first time he's been grilled by policia so yeah he's pretty he's an i asked him while we were still like waiting for him for them to come i was like are you like concerned at all he looks over to me he's like no absolutely not and i'm like standing there sweating i'm already like developing a plan to get him out of jail he's like i'm i'm chilling and then finally they came they asked him a bunch of questions and then they let us go but for a second there i thought he was going to jail for sure and there was just ryan
Starting point is 00:17:45 watson he was an american father he was visiting turks and caicos with his wife and two little kids they were coming back from turks and caicos as well there was a bullet bullets just bullets found in his bag because of a previous hunting trip and they were going to put him in prison for 12 years so So I was like, that's like, and Mexico doesn't like us right now. Like this is not good timing. Fair.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Okay. I mean, people have gone to jail for far less. Oh, exactly. Yeah. Countries. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Yes. But I know that's wild. So now I'm convinced Jeff is on a list somewhere. Yeah, he is. He, you know, Jeff is on a list somewhere. Yeah, he is. He's on a list. And one next bad move. That's your conspiracy theorist mind. True.
Starting point is 00:18:31 Very true. But I... Be free. Live free. And don't bring bullets. Yes, right. Just check the bag. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:18:42 So, yeah, it was an eventful trip back home. And then we also traveled Delta. So. Yeah. So did we. I'm like, all right. When I saw that. What did you say, Tracy, when you saw Delta?
Starting point is 00:18:55 I was like. Like hip, hip, hooray. Wow. But they all made it. So, yes. Why? Because Delta crashed? Topsy-turvy.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Yeah. That's the one that went upside down. Lippy-doos. Did a little flip-a-roo. Oh. Did a little. Spinneroo. So, yes. Why? Topsy-turvy. That's the one that went upside down. Flippy-doos. Did a little flipperoo. Oh. Did a little, yeah. Spinneroo. Spinneroo.
Starting point is 00:19:09 There's some conspiracies with that, but I'll spare us today. We'll talk afterwards. Yeah, we'll talk after. Oh, man. That's Pete Booty Juice. Did a great job. What? You guys don't know who Pete Booty Juice is?
Starting point is 00:19:23 No. I thought you said Peak Booty Juice. Oh, that's even better. Pete Booty Juice. Booty Juice, I call him. I like Booty Juice. And it's not really, I'm not saying his last name correctly because it's Pete Booty Juice.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Booty something another. He was the Secretary of transportation for the biden administration and he was like letting everything go and siphoning money to other departments other illegal things so and they have i mean it's all come out it's i'm not i'm not like lying i'm not just spreading conspiracy it's legitimately on a list of things where money went and yeah the new Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy just came out and was like thank you very much buddy these are all on your watch this is your responsibility and the lack of taking your job
Starting point is 00:20:21 seriously and the American people safety safety. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. Great. But I digress. But best believe I was taking notes during the safety talk. You know, the ones that they give. Oh, yeah. You know what she was doing?
Starting point is 00:20:39 I don't think they tell us what happens when you spin upside down. I was making eye contact with it. I was like, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, yep, mm-hmm. Could they explain if you spin upside down? What are you doing now? it. I was like, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, yep, mm-hmm. Could they explain if you spin upside down? What are you doing now? No. Okay. Okay, they're going to be adding that one to the equation
Starting point is 00:20:50 because that's never been talked about. Could you imagine if you didn't have your seatbelts on? Everybody has to, though. Somebody didn't. That's why there was, yeah, I think a little kid and an older person, didn't it? Because two people were life-flighted, and then a little kid was sent to the hospital. But they might have been in somebody's lap because two year olds are
Starting point is 00:21:07 in the lap. There was Cape Coral man that was on that flight. Did he get $30,000? I don't know. He should have gotten more than that. They were saying that they're doing hush money, $30,000. That's actually out. That's not conspiracy because they're paying people money right now.
Starting point is 00:21:24 Delta is. The 80 people that were involved conspiracy because they're paying people money right now. Yeah. Delta is the 80 people that were involved. Yeah. So Delta is giving people money because they don't want anybody to talk about who the, the, um, uh, pilots were cause they're saying they were female.
Starting point is 00:21:36 Hmm. Yeah. That's not even the conspiracy. That's like actually out. It's actually known. Yeah. Both pilots were female. That's what they're saying.
Starting point is 00:21:43 You know what I would have done to keep your $30,000. Oh my gosh they're saying. Again, DEI. You know what I would have done? Keep your $30,000. Oh my gosh. Keep it. Go to the news. I'm going to go over here. I'm going to do, yeah, I'm going to go do the news. I'm going to do all the interviews.
Starting point is 00:21:53 All the interviews. Wait, and here's the thing. I'm not, I don't even care that you're a female. Right, you don't even care. Absolutely not. Why are you the best? Be the best. What are you the best?
Starting point is 00:22:03 Be the best. Are you like my cousin says, the dental hygienist that just barely straight guy right and you're working on i don't want somebody who barely got by working on my teeth or flying me in the air yeah be the best don't care what you look like right i don't right whether you're a woman man yeah i don't care i mean but they survived. They did all of them. Did you die? Did you die? Did you die?
Starting point is 00:22:27 I didn't. Thank God. I know. I know. Praise God. They got them upside down, but landed safely. I know. And things were on fire.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Oh, my gosh. That's what the guy said. He's like, I'm never going on a flight ever again. He's driving home right now. No. Oh, if you were involved in it, yeah, that would kind of. He was in there that's traumatic that is a little bit you had to help people get out and all the things so
Starting point is 00:22:50 it'd be a while before i get on a plane but he said he's like it'll be a long time if i ever go on a plane ever again yeah and he said he's very sore oh i'm sure no those are the words more those single single pilot ones crash more often. Oh, heck yeah. Oh, yeah. That's always better because the pilots are more like. No. It's still safer to travel by plane.
Starting point is 00:23:12 It is. Than any other way. Yeah. Man. Statistically. Statistically it is. But the likelihood of you surviving. Right.
Starting point is 00:23:22 An accident. Yeah. Is low. But. but on 75 right now if you're good luck it's like it's like the daytona 500 out there and there's an accident every single day yeah multiple multiple especially even this road here yeah oh my gosh don't even get me started I know we're not I'm so done I'm so done with that road
Starting point is 00:23:47 like the accidents on it me too me too okay 25 minutes let's just do do your thing really fast and then we'll get going

Starting point is 00:26:43 It's going to be a really great night. And we want you to be there. And we want you to invite people. Get people over here. That's right. I've lost weight since the last Dare to Be. Oh, my gosh. I know.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Have you? Yeah. We'll get some new photos. Please. I will. Yes. Do some Photoshopping. Okay, I will.
Starting point is 00:27:02 I will. Nope. I didn't say anything. What were you going to say? I was going to say, I feel like we all have. Yeah. A little bit. I started working out again in the garage.
Starting point is 00:27:14 How's that feel? I'm so sore. Oh my gosh, me too. I'm so sore. Like right away. Like usually it takes a little bit. The doms or whatever they say. No, right away I was like, oh no.
Starting point is 00:27:27 Oh my gosh. I can feel it like everywhere. I'm so sore this week. Like has been rough. In a good way. In a good way. I know. But yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:35 Okay. That's what working out will do for you. I know. Drop some poundage. Listen. Get some muscle. That's right. Nice and healthy.
Starting point is 00:27:41 So let's go to the first question. It says, can you let me know your thoughts on the Instagram posts that I sent you, please? So you guys can see this Instagram post. So when I talk about it, you guys will know what I'm talking about. We're going to play it right now. I asked a guy, if you were the devil, how would you ruin the husband to destroy the marriage? This is what he told me. Okay, stop it right there.
Starting point is 00:28:05 If I were the devil and wanted to. Okay, so what? He just said, because it kind of broke up, and that's the closest we could get it, because that's what it sounds like right when you get it. So he said, he asked AI, if the devil was to break up a marriage, how would he do it?
Starting point is 00:28:25 This is how he would do it. If I were to ruin a husband break up a marriage, how would he do it? This is how he would do it. Ruin a husband to destroy a marriage? I wouldn't tack head on. I'd be subtle. Working slowly to erode his character, distort his priorities, and weaken his spiritual leadership. Here's how I'd do it. Isolate him from God. I'd make sure he drifts away from his relationship with Christ.
Starting point is 00:28:44 I'd convince him that he's too busy for prayer and too tired to read scripture. I'd keep him distracted. I'd feed his pride. I'd whisper that he deserves more recognition, more respect, and more appreciation. I'd make him feel like his efforts go unnoticed during resentment toward his wife. He'd start seeing himself as a victim. I would distract him from his work and from his success. I tempt him with lust and comparison. I twist his role as a leader. I would fill his mind with bitterness. I would encourage him to seek comfort elsewhere.
Starting point is 00:29:17 I make him think divorce is the only option. Okay, we're going to play that one more time because I'm just telling you, I had to watch that like three times to take all of it in so when you watch it the second time what the question is is if they're asking the devil how would you destroy a marriage if you're the devil devil how would you destroy a marriage, if you're the devil, devil, how would you destroy a marriage? And this was sent to AI, which is like chat GPT. Right. Okay. So some of you guys go, what is AI? Well, AI is chat. One of them, one way to associate AI is chat GPT. A lot of people use chat GPT for pictures. Like what else do? Anything and everything, right?
Starting point is 00:30:06 But what? Literally anything. Yeah, you could ask it a question about like, how do I do this math problem? How do I create a logo if you were to do this? Like according to the Bible, what does the scripture mean? Like you can use it for anything. Anything.
Starting point is 00:30:18 Anything. So he specifically asked. Yeah, this guy specifically asked the devil, if you were going to destroy a marriage, how would you do it? Now, listen to, and if you can't understand what he's saying, read the words because some of his words slur because he's trying to read it fast. Just read it and listen to it because it's confounding
Starting point is 00:30:42 that AI can do this. Go ahead. I asked AI, if you were the devil, how would you ruin the husband to destroy the marriage? This is what it told me. If I were the devil and wanted to ruin a husband to destroy a marriage, I wouldn't tack head on. I'd be subtle, working slowly to erode his character,
Starting point is 00:31:04 distort his priorities, and weaken his spiritual leadership. Here's how I'd do it. Isolate him from God. I'd make sure he drifts away from his relationship with Christ. I'd convince him that he's too busy for prayer and too tired to read scripture. I'd keep him distracted. I'd feed his pride. I'd whisper that he deserves more recognition more respect and more appreciation I make him feel like his efforts go unnoticed during resentment toward his wife. He starts seeing himself as the victim I would distract him from his work and from his success. I tempt him with lust and comparison I twist his role as a leader. I'd fill his mind with bitterness. I would encourage him to seek comfort elsewhere
Starting point is 00:31:43 I make him think divorce is the only option. So one of the reasons why it played back is one of the things is it refers to I. I would do this. I would do that. That's scary. Yeah. Well, the devil would probably do it like this. Yeah. Or the devil has, this is his system or whatever. Do you know, like this is what the Bible says. Yeah. No, this is, I would do this, I would do that. Nice. Yep.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Wild. Yep. Yep. Because I believe AI, you can use it, like Pastor Rodney says, I'm going to use it for my good right now, but I also know it's also in times, not in the good way. He believes AI will be used in a very bad way in tribulation and things like that.
Starting point is 00:32:38 I agree. So he says, I would do this and I would do that. But if you paid attention to everything it said that I would do, that's exactly what the devil does actually to destroy marriages. Right. It was spot freaking on, which was stunning. That's why I had to listen to it three times. Because everything that was being said was exactly how a marriage is
Starting point is 00:33:07 is torn apart and even in the order that he set it in right like first he will isolate then he would do this and yeah it's wild have bitterness as was confounding to me yeah that so whoever sent that question in I like what's my opinion on that my thoughts are frightening and spot on And what's worse is referring to Chet GPT as the devil with the word, the pronoun being I. Yeah. It depends how you ask questions. So I asked, if you were the devil, how would, I asked Chet GPT, if you were the devil, how would you trick a woman to not be happy in her marriage? And then it said back to me, that's an interesting thought experiment, but rather than focusing on deception, let's flip it. How can a woman protect her happiness in marriage? And then it kind of gave me like a thing. So
Starting point is 00:34:08 I asked again, according to the Bible, how would you ruin a marriage if you were the devil? And then so it said from a biblical perspective, if the devil wanted to ruin a marriage, he would likely use deception, division, and temptation tactics seen throughout the scriptures. And so then it breaks it down like encourage selfishness, undermine communication. That's the way I thought this would have been. Yeah, right. Not like the other way. So it depends what AI they use too,
Starting point is 00:34:32 because there are like Elon Musk just said there's a new one that's out right now. So yeah, it depends how you use it. Yeah, there's multiple ones being, Chet GPT is the top one, but Elon Musk is trying to get his above that one. And I can't remember the name of that one. I know.
Starting point is 00:34:46 I just sent it to you. It's Grand New. It's Gronk. Something like that. Yeah. That sounds familiar. Yeah. But I don't know if that's right, but that does sound familiar.
Starting point is 00:34:55 But there's a whole bunch of them out there. But chat GPT. Right. I mean, most people know what that is. Yeah. I mean, there might be mature adults that are sitting there going I have no idea what you're talking about but on the whole this mature adult
Starting point is 00:35:10 actually knows what Chet GPT is and when I just was out in Vegas everybody knew what it was oh yeah so the screw tape letters by C.S. Lewis that's the book I was telling you about the other day.
Starting point is 00:35:25 And so the whole point of that is it's written as if the devil was talking to Wormwood, his nephew. And it's all about how— Which Wormwood is not good. Right. I mean, it could be two ways in the Bible, but Wormwood in the Bible is not a good thing. So the letter are like satire exploration of temptation and how to lead a good Christian life. And so he's kind of going back and forth.
Starting point is 00:35:49 If you were a good Christian, that's what you would do. But if you wanted to trick the Christian to make it more about him, this is how you would trick him. So the whole screw tape letter is like the devil talking. And so it's very similar to this. That's wild. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:05 That's wild. Yeah. Yeah. That's crazy. And that just like, that makes you wonder if it's like the, you know, the apostle or the disciple John writing Revelation and C.S. Lewis, that was prophetic. Yeah. And I don't know. Yeah. To some degree, some of that stuff is. Right.
Starting point is 00:36:26 It's just like The Simpsons. If you have Simpsons, and what's the other one, Talia, that Tom talks about? The Simpsons, and what's the other one? Oh, South Park, is it? It's South Park. Thank you. Both of those.
Starting point is 00:36:41 They even had coronavirus. I know. Years before. Yeah. Like. And Trump, like, predicting he would be president. Both of those, they even had coronavirus years before. And Trump predicting he would be president, it's prophetic. Right. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:36:57 And none of it, these people are not into that, okay? This is just satire. Right. But it's come to happen. They have hit it out of the park. Right. I don't even remember. Look up and see how many times South Park or The Simpsons,
Starting point is 00:37:11 because I've looked it up before, have predicted the future. Because you can type that in there, and it'll tell you how many times they actually. Do they still make episodes? No, not of The Simpsons. But South Park, I believe they do. Because there's some things that happen, and I'm like, did The Simpsons cover this? Like, how does this end yeah exactly yeah well i just sent tracy a tiktok that
Starting point is 00:37:31 your son sent me of the first um like real life looking synthetic robot like waking up and it's like twitching you can see it's made it's like really creepy that's why that's yeah that's where i think i could go wild it looks like a human well that's where that's where where it says the antichrist will have a it doesn't necessarily say it gets shot in the head but it has a wound to its head and i have thought to myself is that ai interesting because it can make it look like but i was just watching something on i can't remember what it was i think it was on but I was just watching something on, I can't remember what it was. I think it was on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:38:08 I was just watching where they had, you know, the masks that they have on people that people have, like they think there's a lot of body doubles for people. They were telling a story about how they had a, how they had a friend that's in high-level position go to like a family dinner. And at the family dinner was like this elected official. And when it got all said and done, the elected official took off its mask. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:38:44 And it was one of their family members. Wow. They had no idea. Yeah, I know. The stuff they can do. They had no idea that that was not who they thought it was. It looked that real. Oh yeah. Yep. AI is like
Starting point is 00:38:59 insane. But these are like masks that you pull off. Right. Yeah. And I'm like not even into that. But now I'm like, I don't know. Gotta be into it. Well, they do.
Starting point is 00:39:11 Well, the thing with Biden and his body doubles, like they weren't even the same height. Right. Joe Rogan talks about that. He's like, if you're going to do it, at least get him the right height. Right. You're right. He's like, I didn't even believe in this. But now like it's obvious that this is this like, it's obvious. It's so obvious. This is actually a fact.
Starting point is 00:39:26 Because they're not even the same height. They're not even trying. That's what he even said. He's like, they're not even trying. I know. Because they think we're stupid. Yeah. They don't care anymore.
Starting point is 00:39:38 They don't care. Right. What are we going to do? Did you see how many prophetic thingies? It says 20 to 30. With South Park. It might have been South Park. Oh, OK. did you see how many prophetic thingies it says 20 to 30 um with south park okay but 20 to 30 like is crazy for a cartoon satire and so they still yes the simpsons continue to produce new episodes as of february 2025 the show is in its 36th season i didn't even know it's still going
Starting point is 00:39:59 i thought it was gone yeah which premiered september 29th my anniversary in 2024 for the 26th season so but i think they like throw stuff out there and then they don't tell us what happens like i think they just do like a one episode um that's crazy that's seriously crazy all right i'm gonna do our sponsors really quick and then we're gonna go to our next thing orella state appraisal associates of southwest florida inc is owned by laura keller they have been in business since 2005 they provide the most accurate certified Estate Appraisal Associates of Southwest Florida Inc. is owned by Laura Keller. Their phone number is 941-460-3962. 941-460-3962. Here we go. 841-460-3962. Here we go. So my next question is about wanting to go into ministry. But the problem is, is this is a one sentence question. So I'm going to answer this as, it's going to be broad,
Starting point is 00:42:20 but I'm going to try and answer it so that it does answer your question. What advice would you give to someone wanting to enter into full-time ministry? I don't know if that means like wanting to be secretary or wanting to be a pastor, youth pastor, worship leader. I mean, full-time ministry can be a secretarial administrative position. It can be a pastor of administration, which is different than a pastor leading and speaking versus a worship leader or being on the worship team. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to just do if you are wanting to be
Starting point is 00:42:59 in ministry as a pastor, because if I were to ask that question, that's probably what I would be thinking, correct? Not in an office administrative level, correct? Yeah. Okay. Because I've known a lot of people who want to work for the church and be in full-time ministry, and they actually did want to work in the office. They didn't want to speak. They wanted to be a part of the ministry. Good for them. I know. I love that. Or even like media. You wanted to be a part of the ministry good for them i know i love that or even like media you want to be in full-time media position i'm not going to take it as that though because that's way too broad for me right right so apply what you can apply to where you can apply it and then yeah ask the question more accurately or closely not accurately accurately. More narrowed. Yeah, like specifics. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:46 Not so broad. Yeah. So, here's the thing. You better make sure that that's what God's called you to do. Amen. Okay, because Tracey's husband
Starting point is 00:44:00 is our youth pastor now. I got Talia, who is doing full-time, not full-time, but will be doing full-time ministry at some point as well. Tracy does all of our media. She has a team, but that's not even full-time because she has a full-time job already. So she does hers a lot.
Starting point is 00:44:21 The girl has no time. Then Vanessa has done full-time ministry and it's still doing ministry it's just not full-time and I just started doing full-time ministry just in 2022 I think it was 2022 this one I said so although I've had other jobs I've done full-time ministry, other jobs like Tracy, and I just now just made it so this is my only job. But this is the first time in umpteen years, like I can't even remember me not working two jobs in over 20 something years because I've always done this and that and something else. I say all that to say, make sure that you know, that you know, that you know that God's telling you to do it
Starting point is 00:45:05 because it probably won't be the only thing that you're doing. And at times, unless you know that it's what God's called you to do, you literally, you cannot get burned out. And people will say, I have, I'm burned out. In ministry, you can't get burned out. It's not possible if you are being spiritually led. If you become carnal in it, yeah, you're probably going to want to quit, and you might just do it. In fact, the odds are very high that you will because statistics show four to seven years is the average life of a pastor. And the average life of a pastor in one church is only two to four.
Starting point is 00:45:45 So a pastor will only usually stay at a church two to four years, and then he'll move to the next one. Like, we're an anomaly. Yeah. We really are. Like, for us to have been locked and loaded where we're at, to have started the church, to stay at the church, like we planted this church.
Starting point is 00:46:03 I only know of another church in the area that planted their church, and they're still the same pastors. But I don't know of anybody else. Yeah, that's crazy. Because most of the time you bounce around. And that's just the name of the game because a lot of times you're in a denomination, and that denomination the name of the game because a lot of times you're in a denomination and that denomination is bouncing pastors around.
Starting point is 00:46:27 They're giving people promotions because you're growing your church, so you get a bigger church. It's all business related, not spiritually related. So that's one of the other reasons people get burned out because they're not doing it with the right heart and mindset. I mean, their heart spiritually might be right,
Starting point is 00:46:46 but they're conducting it as if it's a business. And when you're doing this, there is no business. It's only God's business. And he directs that and he tells you what to do. So make sure beyond a shadow of a doubt, God's called you to do it. If he did, then you can't quit. And the only way you, I mean, you can quit, but you will be immeasurable. Because like Paul said, it's a fire that burns within your bones, right? It's in your belly. You gotta like, you gotta be preaching and teaching.
Starting point is 00:47:16 It's like who you are. Gifts and callings are not irrevocable. So if you're called to preach, like you'll always be called to preach. And if you're called to preach, like you'll always be called to preach. And if you're not doing it, you will be miserable. One of the ways I would definitely make sure that you know if you're called
Starting point is 00:47:36 is to fast and pray over it. And I would do it more than once so that when you step into ministry, you have the fortitude to be able to withstand whatever comes your way because there's a lot coming your way. You are now on the devil's radar. He don't like it.
Starting point is 00:47:54 And that's what he does. He comes for people in ministry. Now, the stronger you are in your walk and the more knowledgeable you have in the word and the closer of a knowledgeable you have in the word and the more and the closer of a walk you have with him the less you'll have like more you'll have little bumps in the road versus valleys and highs and lows you know and and it's a i i always say it's bittersweet ministry is bitterstersweet. Way more sweet than bitter.
Starting point is 00:48:26 Would you not agree? Yes. I mean, a lot of great things from doing ministry. But a lot of times people think, when they think about doing ministry, they only think about being in the pulpit, speaking, thinking that people ooh and ah over them. They don't. They don't ooh and ah over you.
Starting point is 00:48:46 You need to know that. A lot of people are critiquing you. Criticizing you. And on the way home saying, that guy doesn't know what he's talking about or he got that scripture wrong or I wish they wouldn't play that song or I didn't like this morning because of this.
Starting point is 00:49:04 It's not like what people think it is. It's just not. And that's not bad. I mean, really, who cares if somebody didn't like the song you played that morning? And who cares if somebody didn't think you got the scripture right? If you know you're studying and you know that you're doing what you're supposed to be doing, you really won't care what all those people say after they leave the building. You just won't. You'll know you're doing what God wants you to do and you'll be completely fine.
Starting point is 00:49:33 Right. But I will say if you're new in your walk with God, you absolutely positively have no business, none. Looking at ministry and thinking that you need to step out into it anytime soon. Cause the word is very clear. Paul said to Timothy, do not, do not let a novice be in a place of leadership. It'll destroy them. It destroys the person,
Starting point is 00:49:57 not the other, you know, it'll destroy the person that you're giving that leadership position because they're not ready for it. 100%. Goes to their head. They don't have enough knowledge of the word. that leadership position because they're not ready for it. 100%. It goes to their head. They don't have enough knowledge of the word, so they feel like they're lost. They just don't even know it.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Go ahead, girls. I'll let you answer. And in that scenario, a lot of people will then leave completely the faith. There's this movement right now called deconstruct deconstructing and there are believers who once believed and were even you know in ministry where now they're stepping away and they're deconstructing their faith that's what happened with marty samson yeah he that's what he he calls it the deconstruction of right marty samson is a phenomenal musicianong, everybody would know him from Hillsong. Wait, I do know this. Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:48 Yes. He walked away totally from the Lord. Wrote some amazing songs when Hillsong just came out. Just a phenomenal musician and an artist. But that's what he said. Go ahead with what you're saying, because it's true. Yeah. And so when you run, when you get ahead of yourself and you don't, you don't wait on the Lord to, to, to like call you out into ministry, like you run that risk of operating in your own flesh, right. And in your own power. And when you do so, it comes with a lot of toil, which then you, like you just said, you burn out. You burn out and then you're like, forget this, I'm out of here. Yeah. I don't want this. No. And when you're in the flow and you're exactly where the Lord wants you and you're doing exactly what God has called you to do,
Starting point is 00:51:46 there is no burnout. I think of, I was talking to Tracy about this, I think of our group Abide, we're on our third year. Almost, if we're not in town, we're meeting every single week. And we've got about 40 ladies that meet in person and then 60 plus ladies that we disciple throughout the week. And it's,
Starting point is 00:52:10 there's never been a moment where I've thought this is too much. That's right. You know, I know. And like Vanessa and I, like, we're not like, like doing something every week indefinitely.
Starting point is 00:52:20 Like, it's like, it's kind of like, like it is. Cause we're like free and like whatever. But like, it's like, I like, like it is cause we're like free and like whatever. But like, it's like, I look forward to it every Tuesday. Like I know God's going to give me something to talk about. I know Vanessa is going to like, we're going to be on the same page. It's almost exciting to be like, okay, what's, what's this week going to look like? Um, and,
Starting point is 00:52:38 and the women just keep showing up and it's just really cool. Like, it's cool what God does when you are just like, you know what, God, I'm available. All walks of life, too. Like, you have people super young to my age and a little bit older. Much older. Which speaks volumes. Yeah. And it's like, there's no agenda, you know?
Starting point is 00:52:59 Like, we really are, like, showing up. And we start with praise reports and then whatever God tells us. And sometimes they're hard words. Like I don't, I'd prefer to just give an encouraging word all the time, every single Tuesday. And God's like, nope. I'm like, great. So it's, it's not always easy. And then, and I think with you guys like starting so small and then growing to where we're at right now, i know with abide we started very very small and so sometimes when you grow people feel like i liked it when it was small so then it's like always you know you always have people like exactly they like that intimate right yeah and i
Starting point is 00:53:36 do too but the problem is is that's not what the word tell told us it's not i know you didn't say keep it intimate right he said go win the lost and make disciples. Make disciples of all men. And in order to make disciples of all men, they grew in monumental numbers. Correct. 5,000 at one time, one time. Yep. So it's like, you can't stay small.
Starting point is 00:53:57 You can't. You don't, you're not about kingdom business if you stay small. Have you read the book of Acts where they added daily? Daily. Right. And healthy things grow. They do. Always. Always. And so if you're getting into ministry, these are things you might not even think about. You don't know. And so if you don't like people, maybe reconsider going into ministry because there are a lot of people. Or if you're super sensitive, or if you're very sensitive, maybe grow a thicker skin. Yeah. Because wherever there's people,
Starting point is 00:54:35 there's going to be conflict. Yeah. Yeah. It's so true. Always. There's always conflict. I will say though, Tom didn't like people and God forced his hand because it's your carnal nature. And what she's saying is you might want to rethink it to a certain extent. If God's called you into it and you don't like people, you might want to rethink it. I agree with you on that, Tracy. Because if you don't have what it takes to overcome not liking people, then don't become a pastor. Right. Because you've got to love people. But the only reason you don't like them is because your carnal nature is so big and your spirit man is so small.
Starting point is 00:55:06 Exactly. That's the only reason. Absolutely. And if you can't do that, then don't do the job. Yes. Amen. I made some decisions. I made some decisions.
Starting point is 00:55:16 I made a list. Okay. So if you wanted to go into ministry, what does that look like? First of all, do you know your Bible? You can't preach the word if you don't know it. True. And the thing is, is Jesus is the word. So how well do you know him?
Starting point is 00:55:34 Come on. I mean, that's a word right there. Otherwise, don't do it until you do. And don't read books about the Bible. We cannot pastor and be reading books about the Bible or typing messages off the internet so you teach them. They have their place, right? But don't let it be the primary thing that you're feeding yourself.
Starting point is 00:55:59 It can be supplemental. It should be so small. Yeah. Make the word priority and then all that other stuff like it kind of is the cherry on top right like how do you teach how do you preach a message if you don't know the bible i mean like associated related churches they will help you plant your church you don't have to have any any background in ministry whatsoever they will give you all the sermons to preach and you'll just which was what a lot of people do is
Starting point is 00:56:33 memorize them that's great and all but are you fulfilling a job position or are you actually doing a calling because if you're doing calling, then you need to know the word and you need to be able to know it so well that you can come up with a message yourself. Otherwise, you're just preaching somebody else's message. Right, and is it for that congregation too? All the time I say that. It's so true though, Tracy.
Starting point is 00:57:00 But that's all I wanted with a pastor. I just wanted a pastor that was spirit-led so that when I walk into the building, I know God talked to him about me, specifically me. And where you're at at that moment. What I need to work on. And it might not be the full message because obviously there's other people in the building. But I didn't want it to just be what's happening in Alabama is the same messaging that's happening in Florida,
Starting point is 00:57:22 that's happening in Tennessee because we're all in the series together. And that's just, it's convenient. So true. That we're all together. I want it to be inconvenient for my pastor. I want him to be like ready to say a message and then something else pops on his heart. And you can tell, like the Holy Spirit just took over.
Starting point is 00:57:36 Yeah. Because he's listening to the Holy Spirit. Yeah. And you know, obviously. Can I tell you how many times people have said, man, that message was for me or you read my mail. Yeah, right. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:57:49 That's the Holy Spirit. It really is. Not to say that if you were to copy and paste a message off the Internet, you won't get the same. Right. But how penetrating will that be? Right. Exactly. And do you change from it?
Starting point is 00:58:02 Like, is it that convicting or is it just like, yeah, that's true. I probably need to be nicer. And, you know, God's grace. I need to be more grace. You know what I mean? Yeah, where's the conviction? Because conviction is what changes you. The thing is, is you should go to church not to be comfortable, but you should go to church to be challenged to change whatever doesn't align with the Word of God.
Starting point is 00:58:23 You do not make your lifestyle align with the word of God. You do not make your lifestyle align with the word of God. The word doesn't, it is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So whatever it says, it does not change. You must change. And if you sit in a church where you are completely comfortable and not on the edge of your seat going, I, I'm nervous. Like I'm not meeting the standard. Then if you're going to a church
Starting point is 00:58:48 where you don't feel like that, you're probably not going to the right church. Yeah. And you're gonna get bored. I've been there. I've been there. And I was looking for other sermons constantly throughout the week
Starting point is 00:59:00 to just fill the void, basically. And now I have stuff on Sunday that I get that I can actually study out for the rest of the week to just like fill the void basically. And like now I have stuff on Sunday that I get that I can like actually study out for the rest of the week. Right, exactly. It wasn't like that before. Like I had to listen to Jonathan. I had to go to the river.
Starting point is 00:59:14 I had to find other pastors that like challenged me. And that's you. A lot of people aren't you. A lot of people would just get bored and just stop attending. Well, I don't even know if they'll stop attending. They'll go because... Friendships. I'm saved. This is great.
Starting point is 00:59:30 I can do whatever I want. Drink tonight. Go to church hungover. Oh my gosh. I'm going to heaven. You're not. Because the Bible specifically says you're not. But when you go to a church that doesn't challenge you and show you in the Word of God that you can't live a lifestyle like that says you're not. But when you go to a church that doesn't challenge you and show
Starting point is 00:59:45 you in the word of God that you can't live a lifestyle like that, you are sorely mistaken. You have been badly deceived. And the word says, woe to the man that preaches that gospel to you. So not only are you going to be held accountable for like, it's a heaven and hell, that's sin. And then he'll be held accountable or she will be held accountable because they didn't tell you yeah even though you should be reading your bible and you should know true yeah true so that person's to a degree held accountable you mostly will be yeah right because you're responsible for what you know and you don't know if you call yourself a christian amen amen but here's the list of things that this will help you whether or not to know if you're ready or not to
Starting point is 01:00:32 do ministry one is and this is about how disciplined are you how disciplined are you in attending church if you can't come to church every Sunday, don't pastor. You ain't going to make it. If you're not serving in some ministry for your church and you're doing it at a hundred plus percent, you're like drudging and dreading whatever you're doing, don't do ministry. You're not ready. It's all about the heart. Keeping your word. When you tell somebody you're going to do something, do you do it?
Starting point is 01:01:18 Or do you cancel on them or don't even cancel on them? You just do a no-show. Okay? Don't do ministry at all if you can't keep your word. It's not good. Because people are counting on you. And they will, based on how you lead, it's a reflection of the Lord. Don't do it.
Starting point is 01:01:38 Overcoming circumstances and people. If you can't overcome and you can't deal with people and people problems, like Tracy was saying. Don't minister. Don't pastor. You'll be eaten up, spit out, and the devil will just have a field day with you. Don't do it. And people will too. If you can't walk spiritually, if you don't do the four essentials, which is pray, Bible study, fellowship, and worship,
Starting point is 01:02:07 if you're not doing those four things consistently, don't do ministry. You will never, ever make it because your carnal man rules you more than your spiritual man. And you will be one of the ones that quit in seven years or less. And I really doubt. Now, I do believe that there are people who have been called and quit in that time frame. But I do question a lot, a lot of people, whether they were really called because they don't make it. The majority don't make it. Because I think what a lot of people think is, oh, I'd like to do that.
Starting point is 01:02:41 That sounds like fun. My daddy did that. My grandpa did that. And my great grandpa did that. We have generations of pastors. It's a family business. I think I'll do it. Just because your family's done it
Starting point is 01:02:55 doesn't mean you should. And you got to be very, very cautious with continuing on the family business. Just because they did it doesn't mean God's called you to do it. Got to be very careful with that. But ladies, do you want to add anything to that? That one's a huge one is that just because your family was doing it, you might not be called, like if your grandfather was a pastor,
Starting point is 01:03:21 your dad was a pastor, it doesn't mean that you're supposed to be a pastor, but there might be something that maybe you're supposed to be in a jail ministry. Maybe you're supposed to be in media. Maybe you're supposed to be singing on the worship team and you're supposed to be working. So just don't like, but that takes a relationship with the Lord. If you were seeking the Lord every day, you would know. Like if you're reading your Bible and you're praying and you're doing all the things and you're, you're living blamelessly and you're not sinning, like it's much easier to hear God's voice when you're seeking him. And so you'll know what you're supposed to do and what you're not supposed to do.
Starting point is 01:03:50 But these are great. That's a great list to like. To chew on. To chew on. Yeah. To consider. Like if you don't show up. If you like, like all those things, those are great.
Starting point is 01:04:00 Oh yeah. Those are really good. And I was telling Tracy earlier, a lot of these questions could be answered with, do you even know your identity in Christ? Like nail that down too before you want to lead a flock. Right. Because if you lose that, if you leave the worship team or if we don't do abide anymore, will I lose my identity?
Starting point is 01:04:20 Well, I used to be a woman's leadership and now I- And your identity is tied to that instead of, no, your identity is in Christ. It doesn't change. And everything flows from there. Whatever you do, whatever you touch. The thing that you really should think of, you know, instead of that being your identity is one of the things I think of is if I weren't doing this like whose life will be affected by me not doing this like am I walking in the power and authority that God's called me to do so whose life will I not touch by me walking away yeah from not doing this and can I afford that? Good. And I'm like, and I have said that to Tom many times. I'm like, there are lives that have been forever changed.
Starting point is 01:05:11 People who are healed that would have never lived. There's like marriages that have been restored that were headed for divorce and now the family's intact. Like, what if we quit? So that's the thing you need to think of is not my identity is this, it's what lives will be affected by me not doing what God's called me to do. And take that seriously, because he's called you to do it. So if he's called you to do it, he knows the people that will come across your path that you will forever change potentially. They make or break whether they change or not.
Starting point is 01:05:47 But you have been called to do that so that it's not about the position and it's not about what you think is clout or power or whatever. That's crap. You need to understand all that is a pile of poo. It really is. It amounts to absolutely nothing. What amounts to something is when you talk to somebody and they say, like, I can see now. Like Linda, I literally don't wear glasses
Starting point is 01:06:13 now. Or my mom, I don't wear glasses now because I've been healed. That's what matters. That's what matters. The rest of it is just junk. And that's what you really want to be going for is transforming and changing lives forever so that they see Jesus, tangible Jesus, and know that he is real. And they not only want everything he has to offer, but they want to be offering everything he has to offer to somebody else. That's the big deal.
Starting point is 01:06:45 So come to Dare to Be tonight. Oh, it's going to be offering everything he has to offer to somebody else. That's the big deal. Amen. So come to Dare to Be tonight. Oh, it's going to be so good. It's going to be so good. So good. I am very excited. Me too. My self and great things, great door prizes, great time, great fun,
Starting point is 01:06:57 great fellowship, wonderful time in worship. And then God's given me a really good word, I think, for everybody. So I hope to see you tonight. Love you guys. See you on Sunday. If I don't see you tonight. Bye.
