Welcome to the Hope Hotline.
The peanut gallery is a little different today.
I would say it's more beautiful, but I don't want to insult my other hosts.
No, it is. You're right.
Oh my gosh, it is.
It is.
Is that like scrumdilly?
That is scrumdilly-ish over there.
Oh my gosh.
We got Logie back.
Okay, let's get those ratings up.
Look at this cute baby.
Like and share. Like and share. Listen, I don't know how much she's really going to be typing and responding to you guys' little stuff,
but it doesn't matter because we've got cuteness over there, overload.
So cute.
Oh, my gosh.
Too much with her banana.
She had her flipped the other way, and I was like, nobody can see that face.
What are we doing?
So she, thank you, Logan.
You're welcome.
Logan is
aims to please. Always.
Always.
Which is unusual because when she was cop,
that wasn't happening. Not so much.
Not in the military. She is a new creation
in Christ. Thank God.
Thank God she has Jesus.
Vanessa left. Vanessa was here.
Yeah, totally dipped on us.
Talia is up in Tampa.
Partying. Living her best life.
Living her best life.
That's right. So it's us
four.
We got Sarah's daughter over there, which
you can't see. Reading.
She's a ferocious reader.
We're all here and just
enjoying each other and
very relaxed.
I hope you're enjoying wherever you're at.
Yes.
Whatever.
Yeah.
Today's Friday.
So like I wasn't going to say what the day was.
But you did.
But I'm saying it in a different way.
You did.
Today's Friday.
So how can you not be stoked?
Friday was always a, like the weekend began for me on Friday. Yeah. Always. I love, Friday is, was always a, like the weekend began
for me on Friday.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Always.
I know.
Mentally,
I was checked out.
I mean,
I worked hard,
but I was checked out.
Yeah.
You knew.
You had senioritis
on Friday.
Well,
I was more or less
talking about
when I worked
a two minute job.
Right.
But then I partied
and stuff like that.
Yeah.
Because I had already
partied Thursday night.
Okay.
Barely could get up
on Friday morning.
Worked.
Yeah.
My butt off
thinking about
what will I wear tonight?
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Next three nights.
Oh, there her goes.
I knew I put the cap on
for a reason.
Pausing a spectacle.
Aw.
Oh, man. She's
the best.
You good over there?
Worst case scenario, you pass her to
Sarah. Aww, yes.
Sarah will gladly. Listen, you
pass her to me. She's got an arm. That's all I'm saying.
You can give her to me. I mean,
I'm in. I don't care. We're in.
I can do this thing.
When you're a mom, you're like octopus woman.
Yes.
You can do like eight things and hold a baby and whatever else needs to be done.
You just can't remember what day it is.
Who cares?
That's true.
As long as you get things done.
But it's not even important.
You don't need to know the day.
Exactly.
As long as you tune in on Wednesdays and Fridays at 3 p.m., you're good.
It's all good. Something's been going on with Rumble.
So if you're having problems, because Wednesday there were problems,
but this week Aaron was saying last night that he saw or something that Rumble's having issues.
Okay. Yeah. It looks a little bit lower than normal.
Yeah. Well, it was really low last night,
but they were saying,
and I think that's why Wednesday was like it was.
Yeah.
But there's something going on.
They're trying to,
I wish if he's on, he'll tell you,
but basically they're trying to shut down the,
if I'm getting this correctly,
they're trying to figure out how to shut down that site.
Oh, my gosh. Yeah, they're trying to figure out how to shut down that site. Oh, my gosh.
Yeah.
They're causing glitches in it or something like that.
So if you're having problems on Rumble, go to Blackrobe.
But you're probably not even on right now.
Yeah, I know.
But it's bad because Tom's usually well into the eights, high eights.
He was in the 700s.
He's like, what's up with that?
Right.
And Rumble had
pretty much notified everybody there was
issues. Okay, interesting.
Which stinks. But you know what?
Nobody wants the alternative
voice.
Right.
They only want to promote
the propaganda.
It's true.
Alright, do your thing, girl.
Yeah, so that's why we've got all these options.
So if for some reason it's Wednesday and Friday, pop on Facebook.
If there's an issue, we will always let you guys know.
We'll usually post something just letting you in technical difficulties
or something going on.
So if something's not working for you, you've got Facebook, Rumble, YouTube,
and Blackrobe, all four platforms we go live on.
And even Facebook, Rumble, YouTube, and Blackrobe, all four platforms we go live on. And even Facebook, the Hope Hotline, but we also go and stream live on Foundation Church.
So you can always check all those platforms if you are ever concerned about something seems off.
But also later on, once you do do those, the audio podcast is available.
So I was on Spotify the other day playing some music and working out, and I had two of the Hope Hotlines pop up on me.
So if you are following us on any of the platforms, I had them pop up.
And if you've watched one of our episodes, it will show again, too,
that you've, you know, something you've recently watched.
So it was pretty cool to see us on Spotify.
And then if you are on Facebook, just let us know who you are and where you're watching
from. And then we will switch over to Rumble. I got that Logan. I'm gonna put the link right there
for you guys. So you can just click over. And the reason we like to do that is because we don't love
Facebook. So that is what it is, right? But we do love Rumble. And if they're going to try and do
something and be ridiculous on Rumble, then we are really going to support it. So if you can change over from Facebook over to rumble,
if you are on YouTube, which it looks very quiet over there. Um, if you come later, just,
I'm going to put the link in there as well. Just come over to rumble. Just come on over,
just make a little account and just come on over and join the party. And then Blackrobe is great as well. But
if you want to be in the chat, again, over at Rumble, as always, if you have any questions,
we would love to receive them. So please send them in to askhope at hopehotline.com.
You will get a response back letting you know that we received your question. And if you ever
feel like you sent one in and you don't remember it getting answered, you can ask or you can resend it in and we'll let you know.
We have our merch available.
So you can head over to foundationchurchfl.com and you can click shop for that.
We've got all those four options available for you.
June 28th at 630 p.m.
We have Dare to Be.
So that is next week.
We will be going live on the Hope Hotline and then we will be going live on Foundation Church going Dare to Be. So that is next week. We will be going live on the Hope Hotline.
And then we will be going live on Foundation Church, going Dare to Be.
Hot dog.
Hot dog.
Newest.
So we're going to go in order.
So that's June.
That's next week.
And then the following month, July 26th, Friday at 7 p.m., we will be doing a night of worship.
And it is called Crave.
So that is very exciting.
That will be coming back. And we will be doing that quarterly. worship and it is called crave. So that is very exciting. That will be coming back and we will be doing that quarterly.
Is that what the plan is?
No, I think, um, well, I'm not going to promise anything.
I got to talk to Aaron about that, but we are going to make it a regular thing.
Not every month, but a regular thing.
Okay.
But if anybody, um, has ever, um, like anybody who has come to Foundation Church
for 10 plus years,
they know about Grave
because we did this back in the day.
So what it is,
it is a night of worship,
but there'll also be a short time of,
it's a night of worship and prayer, obviously,
but it's also going to have a short little time of the word
because the word does not return void.
Amen.
But worship, everybody loves worship, but it's the word that does not return void.
So we're going to have a little time of the word, a lot of worship, a great time of prayer,
and it's going to be a really great night.
Anybody, like it's so funny
because um i've seen on facebook the people that are the excited the most are the ones that actually
have gone to crave right they're so excited because it's like it's a really great night
but if you love worship then you're excited too but i'm just saying yeah this is gonna be a really
good night yeah yeah so it's exciting and I think I just missed it
so I came in 2020
no it was stopped
before then
what it turned into is
a time
of teaching
so it went from
worship to teaching but back
in the day it was
a time of prayer
a teaching and a lot of worship. It's
just a really powerful night. That's exciting. It is exciting. It's great to have it back.
Amen. I've been praying for this and whittling away at Erin for over a year.
Yeah. Well, here it is. Finally.
Prayers answered. Amen. My 2024.
Amen. Write it off yeah checking it off all right and then and the following month um we'll be victorious beloved ladies conference
so we'll be here uh august 22nd 23rd and 24th so just continue to save that date and um if you're
in the area obviously just save it keep it. Keep it open for yourself.
Maybe remind the husbands that those are the dates that we will be meeting.
And if you're out of town and you want to come in, start looking at those flights.
Check out Allegiant.
They've got some good flights.
And I think that will be it for today.
Punta Gorda Airport is where we have Sarasota Airport that flies in Allegiant.
Punta Gorda Airport flies Allegiant.
Does Fort Myers?
I feel like they do.
No.
So they have Punta Gorda, Sarasota, and then Tampa.
It's like St. Pete area.
St. Pete.
They do Allegiant.
And they fly, like I can only fly to Boston from Sarasota.
And then I have to fly to Portsmouth, New Hampshire from Punta Gorda. So they don't all go to the same location. But yeah.
But we Punta Gorda is not even 30 minutes pretty much away from here. And Sarasota is about 45.
Yeah. Something like that. So not very far. And typically, I mean, as all I know is their
direct flights. Every flight I've ever flown is direct. So I don't think they do connect. Yeah, I don't either. Oh, Sarah's saying the same
thing. It's, it's only there's only direct flights. I think that's why they're limited to
right, which is great, because then you don't have to worry about like miss like, like missing a
flight to the next one. If you're trying to get somewhere for a very short period of time, like
you're here for three days, you can come in the morning,
leave late Saturday night.
They do only fly on certain days.
But, yeah, usually there's some good options.
And super great price.
And great prices.
Oh, my gosh.
They're insane.
Yeah.
I mean, you pay for everything.
Yeah, that's true.
But I'd rather pay for a bag of peanuts and save huge money on my.
I know.
And you're just getting there.
You just get on the.
It's like.
There's no rigmarole like at the bigger airports, which is what I prefer.
Right.
And it's just a whole lot less nonsense at the smaller airports.
I agree.
Those are like what it used to be.
Yeah.
So.
Okay.
All righty. We good? Let's do be. Yeah. So. Okay. Alrighty.
We good?
Let's do this.
Logan's ready.
Logan's,
oh my gosh.
CJ is at Logan's feet and playing with her toes.
Love it.
So cute.
Mom line.
Mom line.
That's how you do.
Oh my gosh.
I wish you guys could see it.
It's the cutest thing
and she's looking up
at her right now.
It's the cutest thing ever.
All mothers
or grandmothers right now
are totally getting what we're saying.
Men are like, whatever.
I know.
Gosh, she's so cute.
I don't even know if we'll be able to answer questions today.
Look at that.
CJ hour.
So dang cute.
All right, let's go.
Let's do it.
First question. I have people in my life who get saved and stay saved for a while and when things get really good for them they go right back to their old ways it's so frustrating to watch
how do you deal with that i'm gonna put the peanut gallery on because i, the first two questions are like totally all of us are going to kind of chime in.
But, I mean, for me, like that's the norm.
That's the parable of the sower, you know.
That is the norm.
I don't, most people run to God when things are bad.
They do not run to God when things are good.
Most people are like living the high life and they're like, oh, I can do this. Everything's fixed. The problem is,
I mean, I've seen so many people and this is one of the biggest things I've seen
is that there's two. One is their marriages are a flipping mess or their home lives are horrible.
They get in.
They start biblically living out what the scriptures say.
They apply them to their family.
They apply them to their marriage.
And their marriage and their family life flourishes and takes off.
And then they get a boat or an RV or whatever.
And now they're coming
to church every other.
Or
something,
they get a bee in their bonnet.
They get mad at somebody
at the church.
So now they leave the church
and inevitably
everything that,
the ground they had taken,
Satan steals it back.
Every single time.
Yeah.
Another one is,
uh,
the,
the single women are single guys who do be doing great,
get saved,
start doing really well.
And some Yahoo that they,
they just meet somewhere.
And it's not even,
sometimes it's at church,
but most of the time it's not,
they'll meet God's cunning.
I mean,
Satan's cunning. So he'll of the time it's not. They'll meet, God's cunning, I mean, Satan's cunning.
So he'll put somebody in front of them and then they go,
they'll go right back to their old ways.
I mean, give me your opinion and then we'll tell you how we deal with it.
Yeah.
So I will say, Vanessa and I have been leading a group for about two years.
And the ones that have left, cause I, I think discipleship is really important after you get saved.
You know, there's so many questions and so many like different people telling you different
things.
And so it's really important to have discipleship that leads back to the Bible.
Even like, I will say like, don't even listen to what I say, like check the Bible, make
sure my advice is biblical and check with God to make sure that it's aligning with what God's calling you to do.
And so in that, the ones that have left have been literally that, offended, have tried to make their
situations match the Bible instead of the Bible being the truth. Like Pastor Tom says all the
time, don't let the Bible get in the way. Of what you believe.
Yes.
And that's literally it is most of them.
Or they just are spiritually bored and they're not being consistent, showing up.
Things are more important to them.
But the decline's coming.
Yeah.
It always comes.
I know.
And they don't see it.
Right.
People don't see it.
I see.
You want to get to the place where you are living the good life. Yeah. I mean, that's the goal. But not that you get now distracted and you walk away. Yeah. So, OK. Yeah. I mean, on in a smaller in a smaller way, like doing that group has showed you. I mean, how common it is.
Yeah.
Sarah, what do you think?
Discipleship is it, but also like I don't,
I try not to worry too much about other people and their walk.
It's, I don't know if that makes sense.
Like I've been there.
I've been off the wagon.
I've been on the wagon. I've been running beside the wagon.
I've been like all of the different possibilities that there could be.
And I don't want to, I don't know.
Like people are going to be people.
And it's like whatever the new shiny thing is,
they're going to go after that instead of laying down their life so that they
can find it.
Even if they get discipled.
Because the word is, again, it goes back to the parable of the sower.
Because one of the seeds fell on the ground.
It was good for a while.
But then the cares of this life choked it out.
So discipleship is a must.
It's not even an option. When you get saved,
you have to be discipled. Like you need to plug in. That's one of the reasons why we like make
sure that we have a, we call them hubs, but there are groups that where you can learn and be
discipled every day of the week. Almost there is not. I mean, it's almost impossible.
I think the only ones that we don't have is Thursday and Friday.
It's Saturday night.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday are the only nights. But four times a week you can plug in.
And that's just at the church because there's other options available as well that you can go to
that people have private Bible studies themselves,
which I'm going to be perfectly honest with you.
There's reasons why sometimes people start their own Bible studies
and they're not under us.
It's because we were told them no.
And there's reasons why.
Now, people that attend those Bible studies will never know why we told them no.
And they probably won't even tell them that we told them no.
But they'll start a Bible study.
They have no business starting one.
And I will warn you, too, if you go to a Bible study and there's a lot of gossiping and talking
about other people in the church, you need to leave that Bible study.
That's like a Bible study that is like centered on sin.
Nothing good is going to come from that.
And all that's going to do is, again, choke you out.
It'll lead you down a road.
And eventually the place that brought life to you, you'll leave because of the influence of the people
that potentially you're hanging around
because those seeds don't return void either.
I mean, you have to root those things up when gossip happens.
So, but I'm like you, Sarah, for me,
like, and I guess what you really need to do is,
I mean, it is frustrating.
And I'd be lying if I said to you that it's not,
I think, H in every single one of us. Like, okay, Logan, you're a year and a half in of being saved,
maybe two, right? And I'll still let you have a voice because I'm sure there's people that you've
influenced to get saved or been a part of them being saved and spoken to their life and then you've stayed like two years is really good most people lots of times
it don't take it they're gone within the first year okay and life has been very good for you
since you got saved so um give your viewpoint on that because i'm sure you're like what is wrong with these people because of being no I I'm definitely in the thick of that season you were explaining
I'm post baby pre-boat like um I could see why people would get distracted and
fall off the wagon here um so right now, I am completely selfish,
and I'm making sure that I'm getting myself
and my family to church every Sunday,
even when it's hard.
It's so important, though.
You know what?
It's spiritually selfish,
but it'll be the best thing that you do
for your family.
I mean, Chris works every other Sundayay so it's not that easy for him
i mean he can he can't come every sunday but you can so um but you got to make it's not always easy
like doing everything by yourself and um missing a lot of what the message is because you have a
baby and you have to be in another room now and she wants to move.
But that won't stay like that.
I'm in his building and I'm in his presence.
And it's true, but Logan, it won't be like that because eventually you're going to put her in the nursery,
you're going to walk away, and life will be back to normal.
Do you know what I'm saying?
It's just a season, but if you stay faithful,
that transition will be there.
You don't stay faithful, you do fall off the wagon,
and then it won't exist. It's so important. And that's one of the things I, when people
have kids, it does concern me, because I know, I mean, I wasn't like that for me.
It was just, we were just making fun of me. because when I had both my kids, I worked up into the day I had my kids.
I still wear my high heels.
I still doing my thing.
Still selling.
And I went into labor.
I'm walking the halls.
Tom's at Denny's with his best friend eating.
I'm walking the halls.
People are screaming.
I'm like, what the heck? You know, you got to block all that out. But at the same time, I, I both, both times
I went into labor was on a Wednesday night. He was at youth group because I was told to be on
bedrest because I had my kids premature and he came home. We went to the hospital. We had the
kid and I was back at church on Sunday morning.
I mean, because that's my life.
How you
live
is what is priority.
That's just the facts.
And I was back in my high heels.
I bet you were.
Because, you know what?
My relationship with
Jesus is way more important than my raising my kids.? My relationship with Jesus is way more important than raising my kids.
If my relationship with Jesus is top, you know, number one,
theirs will be number one.
But you show that some things are secondary, then that's the way it goes.
But I thought it was super important to be back in church on Sunday,
and there was no reason for me not to be back in church on Sunday because I had natural births. So some people, it's not that
easy. You know, it's a little bit more complicated. But for me, I had no reason not to be.
Right. So I needed to be there. But I will say to you, I mean, it is frustrating to watch,
but I wouldn't be frustrated.
Okay?
There's a difference.
You can sit there and you can sit there and go, that's insanity.
But it's not going to apply to me.
Even if it's people that you love.
Right.
And you helped them and you discipled them.
And you have a vested interest in them.
And it happens all the time if you're in ministry.
What you have to do is pray for them.
And then when they're ready to come back, be available to them.
Otherwise, just live your best life.
Because there's absolutely nothing you can do.
You cannot convince somebody.
You cannot.
God, Jesus doesn't even do that.
Jesus doesn't even push himself on people.
So we can't do that.
And we feel like being forceful sometimes is the way to be it. But
Jesus is a gentleman. The Holy Spirit never pushes themselves on anybody. So we ourselves should not
do that either. And just, it's sad, but life goes on. And we see it in this church all the time.
You do ministry any length of time.
You lead a Bible study.
I mean, like, okay, you've seen people come and go out of your Bible study.
Sarah has a Bible study.
You've seen people come and go where it was a priority to them,
and then it's not.
But your numbers still stay the same.
I mean, people are still coming in.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Because it's all good.
She'll be asleep in two seconds.
Yeah, it's all good.
Don't even worry about it. It's nap time. It's all good. She'll be asleep in two seconds. Yeah, it's all good. Don't even worry about it.
It's nap time.
It's all good.
You're right.
And our group keeps growing, even when people leave.
Like, our group is just getting bigger and bigger and bigger,
and that's just, that's God doing the things that he's going to do.
And I do wonder, like, when the next big thing happens,
whatever that may be in the world
even if it's just like the election right what like what are they what are you gonna do when
you left people for the reason that you came here in the first place yeah that's that's always been
my question and um so i i wonder the same thing myself and and here's the thing no bridges ever
burned no exactly no bridges ever burned that's you know that's the thing. No bridge is ever burned. No. Exactly. No bridge is ever burned.
That's the great thing about Foundation Church.
And I know that it's uncomfortable for people to come back.
Right.
But, I mean, come back.
I know.
There's this humbleness that when you are able to do that,
people can like see it on you.
You know, when you can like step back into a place where, you know, you might need to make amends with people.
Yes.
Like, I mean, there's some people have left and done some pretty horrible things to each other or said some pretty bad things about each other.
But that's what forgiveness is all about.
That's why that's why I'm sorry.
Yeah.
Is there.
Right. is all about. That's why, that's why I'm sorry is there. I mean, everybody should be able to
apologize and then in return, have that apology accepted and maybe not full restoration immediately,
but let's be believers. Let's be Christians. Let's not act like the world. Right. Right.
Exactly. You know, rise above that. So there should always be the opportunity for restoration,
especially when somebody is willing to humble themselves and say they're sorry. I mean, we have to do that with
Jesus all the time. Thank God he doesn't treat us the same way we treat others.
Right. Exactly.
But it's going to happen. I mean, if anybody's got the pulse of what's going on in and around
the world, they're setting the stage, guys.
And it's going to happen.
You don't need to be afraid, but you just need to be aware and you need to be right around like minded believers that are going to stand and resist.
Right, right.
But Sarah is going to say something.
What were you going to say?
I learned in leading any kind of people that it and it was a hard lesson for me, that you have to love them
where they are. And that's not always comfortable for you because you sometimes want more for them
than they want for themselves. And so like when I was leading a direct selling team and trying to
coach people and explain to them,
like, this is all you have to do.
And this is what you can get.
People are going to do what they want to do.
So you have to meet them where they are. You can't want it more than they do.
Right.
Even though you know that financially they would thrive if they just followed the instruction,
just like the Bible.
Yep.
There's a lot of parallels for sure um but
in discipling and you know leading a hub group and stuff too you can you're sowing seeds by
the words that you're teaching and you just already talked about the parable of the sower
and the soil is in their heart. So if they have heart issues
that they have to work through,
if like they have anger
and they have sadness,
like you can continue to throw the seeds,
but also you have to have compassion
and also you have to operate in the power too.
Yes.
And when people see that
and you can lay hands on them
and things are imparted
and then they disappear,
like that for me was a game changer because i i know i knew the bible my whole life yeah when you start
to see the power of god operating in other people and then understanding that that's available to
you as well and you grasp a hold of that and you start to see it working in your life then i don't know why you
would want to walk away from that and so i don't either but because i think it's because people
don't continue to grow in it yeah so again it goes back to what tracy said you become spiritually
bored so because in order to get to that level of seeing an anointing in your life,
there are things that you can't do anymore.
You can't entertain yourself with those things anymore.
And temptation is temptation.
And so you're like constantly, you have to stay on it.
You have to stay in the word.
You have to stay in prayer.
You have to be diligent with the things that you say and what you do to,
to keep that anointing.
Yep.
And a lot of times people are like,
but I just want to break.
Yeah.
But I'm like,
why would you want to break?
But I will tell you what's so awesome to see as,
as a leader is when you see people walking in the spiritual authority it like for me
i sit there and i watch you and vanessa and i've seen where you came from to where you are now and
what how powerful and effective you guys are because of your obedience and your openness.
Yeah.
Right.
And as your leader,
I sit there and go like,
I play a part.
Yeah.
I know.
I know.
I'm like,
I know this is like overwhelming.
I know.
I see Sarah and I sit there and I go like from where she was to where she is.
And I'm like,
like I played a part in that.
Like it's powerful.
I know.
To see people flourish and grow
and like literally lay hands on the sick.
Yeah.
Like it's not you doing it.
Right.
They're doing it.
Right, right.
Like it's the best.
It literally is.
Because people always think it's got,
most people are like,
I just want everybody to come to me.
I just, the power flows through me.
Or like, you get this group around you and you sit there and go,
as long as they know that it's me, then I'm good.
But then that's not the best.
The best is when you see your friends or even people that they may not,
they're acquaintances or whatever, but they have taken the word
and then they themselves are doing it.
That's powerful.
I know.
That's where the true power comes in because it's like it's not all about you.
It's really a whole lot of Jesuses running around.
That's the goal. That's crazy.
But it's the best of the best of the best. And a lot of people say, well, I'm duplicating myself.
No, you're not duplicating you. God forbid you duplicate yourself. You duplicate Jesus.
It's not about us. A lot of pastors just want to always have people come to them.
They're the answer.
No, the answer is in the people to be trained up.
It says, how does it go?
Win the lost and disciple believers.
That's the goal.
And if you're discipling them, then the disciples, what Jesus did is after he took them in, he taught them, and then he sent them out.
And then they did what he did.
That's what it's all about.
And it's so great.
I mean, oh my gosh.
But sometimes I'm not, but I feel like I'm a, what do you call those?
I want to say dance mom, but it's not a dance mom.
A stage mom. Agent mom?
A stage mom.
Like because you know how stage moms or dance moms are like just,
they are living vicariously through their kids.
They're just so proud of them.
I feel like that sometimes when I watch you guys.
I'm like, I am so stinking proud.
I'm like beaming on the inside.
It's just, it's the best.
When we start on Tuesdays, we start with praise reports.
And so I feel like that every Tuesday.
When somebody has a praise report, it's either because they were healed last Tuesday
or they walked it out and went home and did what God told them to do
and they were obedient to what somebody said.
Like God's going to have something for you,
do it when you leave.
Or I get to watch these girls that came like a year ago,
had no idea what they were doing in life,
all of a sudden like they're laying hands on the sick.
And like it's, so every Tuesday I feel like you.
That's a beautiful, beautiful thing.
I know.
For people to flourish in their walks with God.
Yeah, exactly.
Go ahead. Vanessa and I joke around and say like, this is like the best multi-level
marketing you could ever do. Oh my gosh. I think it was Sarah. I was teasing Sarah. I said something
like, I don't sell, like I don't sell products anymore, but I sell Jesus all day long. And
that's the best. I never sold products. i never sold anything that i didn't strongly believe
in because if you don't like sarah i'll tell you this because she's in sales if you don't believe
in what you're selling you really will never do it well no you not if you're authentic i mean you
can be a fakey jakey and you can go in there with all the tools in your toolbox but right
as a believer unless authentically yeah you have to believe in what it is and then you can sell it like crazy because you know the value right right well for me i'm
like this is a no-brainer like i can sell jesus all day long and really we're all salesmen we
really are we don't look at it like we don't think of it like that but we really are all salesmen
how good of a salesman are you right and a lot of times is people who sell things usually use that very thing.
Right?
Again, right?
You use that product so that you know it, but you can buy into it more.
And then when you sell it, people are like, back in the day when I sold windows,
they're like, do you have windows?
No, I don't have windows.
But I can tell you the value of them.
And then when you get the windows, you're like, uh-huh.
It's like if you use it, then you really believe in it.
Right.
So anything you want to add to that?
There's a great book called The Greatest Salesman in the World.
It's by Og Mandino.
And I read it probably 15 years ago.
And it was so cool because I had no idea what it was about.
I'm just like, oh, it's a sales book. I'm going to read it.
And it turns out at the end
there's a spoiler alert. It's basically
all about the Apostle Paul.
And it's like... I've heard about this book.
Yes. It's
crazy. So no spoiler alert now.
Somebody just told me about this book
a couple weeks ago.
And it also has
mantras in it and like things
that help you to be a better
salesperson.
But most a lot of people don't
like that.
Don't like like I don't like
sales.
I don't want to sell.
And it's got like a negative
connotation to it.
But it's basically just having
influence in someone's life
to show them something that you know could make their life better.
Yeah.
Yes.
Which is?
Jesus.
Jesus.
I know.
It's so true.
You have the answer.
Be a good salesman.
You know what kind of salesman you are on how many souls you save?
Mm-hmm.
Or disciple.
Disciple.
Yeah.
Yep.
You'll know how good you are based on your statistics.
If you got no statistics, you stink as a salesman.
You might want to look at that.
But let's go to the next question.
It says, you say you aren't a quitter, and I admire that,
but I am a quitter.
Well, there you go for being honest.
Not all the time, but I do quit.
When it comes to failures and setbacks,
how do you overcome them and not give up?
You know, it's so funny because last night,
Tom, at the end of his podcast, he had this,
I often think of like Steve Bannon and Alex Jones
when I think about people who don't quit, like Trump, right?
In the face of the biggest adversity, what does that do to them?
It only stirs them up and make them become more of a fighter instead of somebody who shrinks
and quits. And really, that's us. Like, what do you do in the face of adversity? Do you rise to
the occasion? Or do you crumble and say, this is just too big for me?
And for me, I sit there and go, there's nothing too big for me.
There's nothing that is so, something so powerful and so overwhelming that my God can't see me through it. I really don't think that there's anything in this life
that God can't give you the answer
or see you through to the other side that you can win.
And I'm talking about world things to spiritual things.
There's no losing only unless you give in.
And almost every single time in the face of adversity,
there's victory on the other side of it.
Like, not that far.
And the more you have the adversity,
then you know the bigger the win.
And, like, something big's going to happen.
You quit, though, you get nothing.
Like, financially speaking,
when you're fighting tooth and nail
to see a breakthrough in finances, just personally speaking, every time that Tom and I have had to walk through something like that, the income and the influx was far more than I even thought was coming in.
And I just sat there and go, holy moly, what if I would have quit?
Like all of this would not exist.
Like this is nuts.
But you can't quit.
I mean, there is absolutely nothing that Jesus, the Lord,
the Holy Spirit can't see you through.
There's not one thing that you can't be seen through.
And in the face of adversity, I'm like, I don't want to sound cocky, but it's kind of like bring it.
Because God's God.
And like even with this building and the insurance and stuff like that, it's like lots of people quit.
It's too much.
But God will supply all my needs.
And this building is his.
And this church is his.
So he'll supply all this place's needs according to his riches and glory.
Thank God his riches and glory are like a cattle on a thousand hills and
streets made of gold and mansions for each and every single one of us to live
in that he builds himself.
Like,
I think we're good.
We didn't build this house.
Like,
and this is the other thing people forget.
Like you've,
you put so much on yourself,
but again,
like with,
with a,
with a church,
like a man who builds the house labors in vain.
It's not my house.
It's his.
So I'm not laboring.
But I will tell you, if you quit, you'll lose every time.
But if you fight, victory is almost guaranteed.
And most people quit just before the victory.
All the time.
Because they don't have the fortitude.
If you fight, but you fight not carnally,
but fight spiritually speaking,
it's a no-brainer.
You're going to win.
And you won't even be sitting there worried or concerned.
You're just going to know.
The need is met.
I'm just going to wait it out and see it come to pass.
Do you want to add anything, Trace or Sarah
or Logan?
Because I'm not a quitter.
There are so many verses
about not giving up and
enduring to the end.
Yeah.
I don't know. I just did a quick Google
search and I came up with like
60 something of them right off the bat.
It's scripturalural not giving up.
I'm pretty sure Jesus on the way to the cross was like.
He was sweating blood for a reason.
He was like, if there's any way that you can take this from me, Lord.
Yeah.
But not my will, your will be done.
So it comes down to surrender again, too.
It's like high intention that you're going to get to where, you know, your goal is, but low attachment as to
how it's going to happen. And just not giving up is huge in a Christian walk. And people watch you
too. Like if you give up in worldly things and you call yourself a believer that to me is like who are you even
i don't know i don't want to be like that i want to see it through to the end god knows the beginning
from the end and he's the author and the finisher of our faith but if you give up how can he finish
like you're going to keep wondering why you're not seeing anything happen and it's because you
never finish anything exactly you never see it through and seeing it through is key but most people are quitters
that's a fact most people when the littlest thing comes their way i mean offense most people quit
why because they're offended it's true i mean so people like even with jobs, they'll quit the job because
the boss is too difficult to work with. God will see you through. You could actually,
you might be his boss or her boss someday. Fight it through. You know, if that's where God's told
you to be, see it through and see what happens.
But a lot of times people just face adversity and they're like, I just can't do this.
Like, where's our fortitude?
Where's the like, where's the like the lion in you?
Like most people are pussycats.
They ain't lions.
It's true.
So it's sad, but it's true.
Yeah.
Go ahead.
I think it starts like from the beginning.
Like we talked about this on Tuesday.
If you're asking God to like bless your ideas,
then you're always looking for people to confirm your ideas.
But if you ask God first, like, what do you want me to do?
And then he sets you that way.
Then it's hard to be like, it's hard to quit when God told you what to do.
Like if God told you to start a business,
it's hard to quit when you're like, you do. Like if God told you to start a business, it's hard to quit when you're like, you know, that, you know, God told you to do it. And
then there's this confidence that comes from, well, God told me to do it. So we have like how
you feel about this, how you feel like it's going to have to be a victory. It has to be right. But
when you know, I think that's the problem. When you know that you did it and you didn't really
pray about it, then you're kind of like, oh crap. Like you think like, maybe I wasn't supposed to do this in the first place. Maybe, maybe I'm not going to succeed.
Maybe I don't see the fruit in it. And I don't know when, you know, God told you to do it.
Like, well, you just have to also remember, like, even when he tells you to do things,
like you'll face many trials in this lifetime, but I will, I will, um,
you'll face many trials in this lifetime, but I will deliver you from
them all.
Like you're going to come out.
I often think too, like, um, a lot of times we're, we're allowed to be sifted.
We're sifted for, uh, to see, see like just how much faith and how far we'll go.
Like, and so you can't have faith if you don't have trials and tribulations.
That's where your faith grows, and there's strength in that.
But a lot of people just want the faith without having to do anything to get it.
That's not how it works.
It's not how it works.
But the sifting, I mean, like Peter was sifted.
It says Jesus said to Peter just before at the Last Supper,
Jesus said, Satan has asked to sift you, Peter.
Peter failed the sifting.
Okay.
But he still did great and mighty works.
I mean, so you might fail, but don't give up.
Because there's still victory on the other side.
Right.
Correct? Logan, you got something to say? No, ma'am. but don't give up because there's still victory on the other side. Right. Correct.
Logan,
you got something to say?
No,
ma'am.
Just keep that.
Finally got her to sleep.
Oh,
she,
oh,
gotcha.
I'm not asking you no more questions.
I can talk now.
Does anybody want to add anything to that?
Jonathan just recently was saying he's in Alaska right now.
So I was kind of watching to see what he was up to.
And he just said like,
just like you have to understand like an attack isn't like the end.
You can't confuse the two.
And so he said like,
just like when you're playing football,
you know,
you're not just practicing for the whole season.
You're eventually going to have games.
So they give you these,
like,
this is what it's probably going to look like.
There's drills and game plans and defense,
what the other team's probably going to do,
what you're going to do.
And so you practice all those and then you go into a game situation. And yeah, sometimes during the game,
you fail in certain areas, but it's not a full failure. And just because there's an attack
during the game doesn't mean you're like, oh man, like I got attacked and I have to give up. Like
you knew, you knew going into football, there's going to be a game and you're going to be put to
the test. And so I do, I think a lot of Christians, the second something gets hard, we talked about it last week maybe how soft people are.
The second it gets hard, we're like, oh, no, now what?
I don't know.
Persevere.
Yeah, overcome.
Well, you know, the thing is I love this saying, and I say it a lot,
but, okay, I would like to my kids and stuff like that,
sometimes when they don't get the results that they want.
And in order not to quit, when you're fighting war, when you're waging war, there are battles in that war.
Okay.
You may not win every battle, but do you win the war?
Yes.
And that's the key.
Yeah.
Like, I mean, everybody's going to lose a battle here and there, but potentially.
I mean, potentially, like I said, Peter lost a battle, but ultimately he came back.
Yeah.
And he gained ground.
And who knows if God's setting you up for something.
It might look like a failure because you had a perspective that it was supposed to be something.
A certain way. A certain way. But then God's like, no, no, I didn't want you there.
So, yep, you failed like you think you did, but just wait. Like I'm setting you up. Dust yourself
off. Pick yourself up and keep going. Yeah. That's how you win. Amen. Every time. Every time.
Quitters never win. Just remember that. It's true. Quitters never win. Simple. Super easy.
Let's do sponsor time.
Then I want to do one other thing.
Let's talk about Laura Keller. By the way,
talk to this hot chick by email
today.
I think she's
going to be on next Friday. That's tentative.
But listen, get your questions
ready because you can write them in.
Listen, the market is crazy but
this and it doesn't matter whether you're selling or whether you're buying or whatever it's always
good to have knowledge so I'm going to have my questions you guys can have your questions send
in questions if you want me to ask them specifically but um but listen take advantage
of some knowledge because that's how you gain ground too.
Knowledge is power.
So Laura Keller and the Real Estate Appraisal Associates of Southwest Florida, Inc.
has been in business since 2005.
She is a Florida State Certified Residential Appraiser.
Listen, she does not do businesses, but she gave me the what what on that, which is good.
There are certified appraisers
that are specifically for businesses
that are commercial, but also
you have to have an accountant, which I did not know.
I was telling Tracy,
what the crap? I did not even know.
But it makes complete sense
because of profit and loss.
She has three locations, Lakewood Ranch, Port Charlotte,
and Tampa. She can assist almost anyone
and anywhere. She is assist almost anyone and anywhere.
She is one of the most trusted appraisal companies in Southwest Florida,
and that is because she's done approximately over 10,000 appraisals.
She's approved with over 300 banks, lenders, and government entities in the United States.
Her company does appraisals for just about everything, residential properties up to four units. They work with FEMA using the 50% rule. Settling estates. Probate situation. Inherited
properties where the heir or heirs are not local and need the appraisal for their attorney. Step-up
basis appraisals for capital gains taxes. And they also provide assistance in selling properties.
So if you need appraisal, you need one if you're going to sell your house.
Or if you need a refi.
There's like lots of reasons you'll need them.
But she just told me,
she's like if somebody calls up
or says that the Hope Hotline sent them,
she's going to give them a $50 discount.
So hey, money is money, honey.
Take advantage of that. So that was super sweet of her to give a discount. That hey, money is money, honey. Take advantage of that.
That was super sweet of her to give a discount.
That's awesome. But you have to make sure
you tell them about us.
The Hope Hotline.
So
you know what? Last week
when I
closed out on Friday and we
were in prayer and
I stopped because I knew that the Lord
was specifically making me speak to someone or others,
not just one, but when I was praying out,
I was telling Tracy, all of a sudden,
I could not think.
My brain went completely blank.
And I knew that I was supposed to stop and shut up
so I just stopped shut up and prayed in the holy spirit and waited on the lord because he
he had a he had his own thing that he wanted to do one of the things that when I walked away from
that I was telling the girls I was saying um, and I even said this in the prayer.
It's, you know, a lot of times people believe they've gone so far that they can't come back.
Like, I mean, even I went through a period of time where I was like, I think I'm too far gone.
Like, would he even want me back?
Like, I'm pretty wretched. Like, I'm a horrible
person. Like, why would God want to have anything to do with me? There's truth. There's no truth
in that. The truth is, is if you want to come back, he wants you back. Okay. Most people who
have so far gone, they don't want to return. Not
most. No one who's gone so far that they don't even want Jesus anymore. They don't want to come
back. The odds are, and you can get to a place where you have a reprobate mind. You have no
desire to have anything to do with anything to do with the Lord. And you'll probably stay like that
for the remainder of your life.
I literally remember sitting in,
a woman asked Tom and I to come and speak to her husband
because he was very sick and he was like near death.
And she was very concerned about his salvation.
And this man had studied out all of the different religions.
And we went and talked to him.
And he basically said,
the only reason I'm sitting here talking to you is because my wife, my wife asked me to do it, but you need to
know I'm okay. I'm good. I'm good with whatever happens. Not really into the whole religious
thing. I'm not really, I've studied out all the religions. It's really not for me. None of them
are for me. I really, I have no desire. And Tom was like, I can respect that. I mean, at least he didn't, he's like,
you're not wasting my time.
You're not trying to like, I'm not,
you're just telling me how it is.
So like the door's not open here.
There's people like that.
They're near death or they don't even know
like death is coming.
They have no desire whatsoever.
Like this man, like I know that I,
like I might go to hell.
I'm okay with that.
Like, what do you do with that?
You can, again, you can't force anybody to do anything
or listen to you to try and convince them
unless the Lord opens the door or leads them.
And it says that in the word.
There's no point.
And a lot of people try and force things.
You can't force it.
Either somebody's open to it or they're not.
But that person was not in any way, shape, or form
wanting to hear or have any part to do with Christianity.
If you're opposite of that and yet you feel unworthy,
God wants you back.
Don't believe the lies of the devil,
because he will lie to you big,
and he'll make you believe things that are just not true,
to keep you from having your best life,
and being saved.
I'm going to talk to you,
I'm going to show you,
I was reading scripture, and this came to show you, I was reading scripture and this came to me and I
was like, this is so relevant to last Friday. I'm going to show you the rich young ruler
versus Zacchaeus, the tax collector. And there's a big difference. Let's look at Matthew 19 through 16.
And ladies, feel free to interrupt me anytime you want to.
Okay.
The rich young man is what is the title.
Okay.
Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked,
Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?
And remember, a lot of people think that they're just good.
People think, well, I'm a good person, so I'm going to heaven. Okay, being good does not get
you into heaven. And Jesus said, why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good
if you want to enter life, keep the commandments, which would be like the Ten Commandments and the law. And the rich
young ruler says, which ones? And Jesus replied, you shall not murder. You shall not commit
adultery. You shall not steal. You should not give false testimony. Honor your father and your
mother and love your neighbor as yourself. And he said, all these I've kept, the young man said, what do I still lack? And Jesus
answered, if you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give to the poor and you will have
treasure in heaven. Then come follow me. And when the young man heard this, he went away sad because
he had great wealth. Now, listen, in another scripture and in a different scripture, it says
that Jesus loved him. It specifically said when he asked, what can I do to enter and have eternal
life? And it says that Jesus, it specifically said, and Jesus looked at him and loved him.
So this is like a guy that Jesus knows and values or understand this guy, this young man understood the
value of abiding by the 10 commandments and his heart, he's Jewish, so his heart is somewhat
pure because he doesn't break those rules and those laws. But it's way more than that.
Christianity is way more than that. You can't hang on to things.
I'll keep going. Then Jesus said to his disciples, so it says when the women, Jesus said,
if you want, Jesus answered, if you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions,
give to the poor and you'll have treasure in heaven. Then come follow me. And then the young
man heard this. He went away sad because he had
great wealth. Where was his treasure? His treasure was in his wealth. It was really easy for him to
be good, but his heart wasn't in. His heart was no more into being a follower of Jesus
if it required him to give up everything. And that's what Jesus requires of us.
Yeah, you need to abide by what the biblical principles are,
but now I want you to give everything up.
And that was just too much for him.
So for the people that say, I've done so many things,
why would God want to have anything to do with me?
The ones that have done things
perfectly, they can't do it. It just shows it right there. So when the disciples heard this,
or they can do it, they choose not to. When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished
and asked, who then can be saved? And then Jesus looked at them and said, with man, this is impossible. With God, all things are possible. So no matter how far you've gone, no matter how far you've gone,
with God, all things are possible. Remember that. It doesn't matter. Where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also. Where's your treasure? If you treasure having a Christian walk and being in relationship with
Jesus, that's your treasure. You can have that. If you say, but I don't want to give up these things,
I will be a Christian as long as it fits these parameters, then you can be as good as you want,
but that doesn't mean you'll be saved. Let's look at Zacchaeus.
How many of you guys remember Zacchaeus?
Yes.
You, Logan?
No.
Good.
You're going to someday teach your little girl this Zacchaeus song.
Do you remember Zacchaeus, Tempest?
There's a song.
It's all about him. He was profound. And most people forget about him,
but this man understood who Jesus was and was willing to do anything and everything,
even though he had been the worst of the worst. He also was a Jew. Luke 19, 1 through 10 says, Jesus came to Zacchaeus' house. That's the
title of it. Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus
who was a chief tax collector. He was rich. Okay. Just like the rich young ruler. Okay.
But we all know Zacchaeus being a tax collector was, was not a good man. And he broke most of the law.
He did not live by it.
Because most of the tax collectors, they were widely hated because they cheated people.
And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was short.
He was of short stature.
So he's a short guy.
So he ran a short guy. They made haste and came down and received him joyfully. But when they saw, when they, meaning the Pharisees, saw it,
they all complained, saying,
He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.
So anybody who's saying, I'm unworthy.
What did Jesus do?
Jesus looked at the unworthy man and he said,
Hey, I'm going to your house.
Come on down.
I'm spending some time with you.
What I want to do is penetrate your heart. I want you to understand that's what Jesus is doing with you right now. Like he is trying to
call you. He's saying, listen, you've gone, you've never gone so far that I'm still not drawing you
in. I'm still not calling you to be with me. So then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, look, Lord, I give, and listen,
this is what the rich young ruler was unwilling to do.
Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor,
and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.
Now, he had stole from a lot of people.
What he is basically saying is,
I will give back four times what I have taken from somebody.
He was saying, I will become poverty stricken to make myself in right standing with you.
I will give up everything because you are worthy
and I want relationship with you.
There's the difference between the two. The man
who kept the law and abided by the rules and was a good man versus the one that was like me,
who'd done everything opposite of what was good. And yet I hungered and thirst to have relationship
with Jesus, who was there saying, hope, come, come. I want to eat with you. I want to dine with you. I want you to be mine,
and I want you to be mine. I will give myself to you. You give yourself to me. Give up everything,
which I did. I left everyone, everything. I actually had left my job. I left my friends.
I said, Lord, you are far more important.
And I want a life with you.
I give up everything.
And we have to be like that. Like I made really good money for my age.
And it was a really great job.
Like a really great job.
But none of that meant anything to me except having relationship with him.
And if you feel like that, then you're worthy. I battled feeling like whether I was worthy or not,
but I still was willing to do whatever it took to be racked in relationship with him.
And Jesus said to him today, salvation has come to this house. My point, because he also
is a son of Abraham, meaning he was a Jew. For the son of man has come to seek and to save that
which is lost. So most people think, well, I'm not like them. I'm not as good as them.
So why would he want me? Because most of those people think in well, I'm not like them. I'm not as good as them. So why would he want me? Because
most of those people think in their own rights, because they're so good that God, why would he
want me? I mean, he's blessed to have me. That's no, that's not true. It's the one who humbles
himself. That is that that's the ones that Jesus is saying, I could do something with that.
That person.
They don't think it's all them.
They know without me they can do nothing.
He wants them.
Matthew 6, 19 through 21 says, it's called teaching about money and possessions.
And a lot of people, there's a lot of Christians out there that think,
Lord, I'll give you all of my talents because they're good.
You're lucky you got me.
Although he's the one that gave you it.
If you can sing, if you're smart, if you can write.
I hear it all the time, how people think that they're so great.
They give you their resume.
And there's something to be said for being confident. That's not what I'm saying great. You know, they give you the resume and, and, and there's
something to be said for being confident. That's not what I'm saying here. You should be confident
in the skillset that God's given you there that that's, you know, but you shouldn't be cocky and
you shouldn't think like, God's lucky he has me. Okay. You wouldn't have anything without him.
But a lot of people say they'll use their talents and their skills and they think that that's in the place of their financials, the financial end of themselves.
Well, that's not.
Again, I gave up everything.
And I'm not saying look to me, but what I am saying is I am an example of what this is talking about.
And are you willing to do the same thing in your walk? And if you're not, if you're like the rich young ruler who says,
I'll give you all of this, but I'm hanging on to my money.
What did Jesus do?
He walked away and was very sad and sorrowful
because salvation was not there for that person.
And you look at Zacchaeus, and Zacchaeus gave everything
because Jesus was worthy.
Don't store up treasures here on earth, for moths eat them and rust destroys them.
And where thieves break in and steal, store your treasures in heaven where moths and rust cannot destroy,
and thieves do not break in and steal.
Wherever your treasure is, there your desires of your heart will also be.
And that's the thing.
You need to examine yourself.
Where is your treasure?
Where is your treasure?
You should ask yourself some questions.
Where do I stand?
Where do I stand on things?
Am I obedient to what the word of God tells me to do?
Or do I live a lifestyle of,
I'll put God, I'll allow God to be here in my life, but not here because I'm not changing this. You need to question whether or
not you're saved, especially if that's sin. Are we faithful in our church attendance?
Are we faithful in the gifts and talents that we've been given? Do we volunteer wherever we're needed?
Or do we just kind of like allow our Christian walk to fit in where it's convenient?
Ladies.
Yeah.
It's good.
I like, I always love that you turn it back on us.
Like, it's so easy to like look at these stories and be like, well, yeah, of course.
But then when you put yourself in these two positions, I never felt like I was too far gone.
I was kind of like delusional and thought like, God always loves me. I think Sarah,
weren't you like that too? Like you always felt like you were always a Christian.
No, that's a good way to be. Actually, that's more healthier to think like,
there's, he's always going to want me back. That that's way healthier did you ever think you were too far gone never yeah and i did some bad stuff like
yeah i was and bad yeah yeah so it's interesting yeah i was definitely like i don't know about this
yeah and i think that's why it hits your heart like when god does speak that to you like he did
during the salvation message like it hits you differently than it does me.
Yeah.
Because you literally felt that, you know?
Yeah.
So I feel like for me in those moments, I feel like the person feels the rejection.
Yeah.
But it's their own rejection.
It's not anything that God has put upon them.
It's them feeling rejected about who they are.
And that's heart-wrenching for me.
Because, like, he's just ready, willing, and able to do whatever it takes to get you back into good graces with him.
And I just think that there's a lot of people that feel like they've gone way too far.
And nobody has. And what a great example, like for him to do that to us, for us to do that to others, like just being ready and willing to reconcile as quickly as God is to us.
That's powerful. That is. That's super powerful with repentance. Restoration is always available.
Tom says that all the time and it's such a beautiful thing,
but he's like,
there's never a closed door.
Right.
If with true repentance,
right.
There's never a closed door.
And I used to be like,
Oh,
that door is closed.
Are you kidding me?
Right.
Never going back.
But through great,
through a great example of him and just being so much like Jesus in that I've
learned,
like he's so right.
Yeah.
Like there's no,
there's no place that anyone's gone so far that I would not restore them.
Right.
Uh,
with true repentance.
I'm like,
that's a beautiful thing.
Like that's a great place to be in your heart.
Like not to have that wall up.
Right.
And,
um,
so that's powerful. but what do either one
of you want to say anything well we're called to be ministers of reconciliation and so we have to
have been reconciled ourselves at some point in order to be able to extend that to other people
um and back on the topic of you know wealth and having things and not wanting to give
that up.
Um, all of that is temporary.
Everything that we see is going to be gone.
And the only thing that's ever going to, that remains is the word of God and Jesus.
Like, I don't know when I, the beginning of this year, like, said, I'm not doing, I'm laying it all down.
If you're not in it, I don't want it.
And it was not, like, financially for us, it was not the best.
Look, on paper, it was not a great idea.
But what I've gained from that and laying it down has been so much more valuable to me.
Yep.
And you can't take any of it with you to heaven.
The only thing you can take, I think I said it on Wednesday,
is other people.
Yep.
And the thing is, is I think that's one of the reasons
why the Lord just blesses this church's socks off like it does.
And even like for me and Tom, like what are you investing in?
Like when we give, like what are you investing in? Like when we give, like what are we investing in?
This church invests in churches.
We invest in places that are outwining the lost, that are discipling believers,
that are trying to radically change and wake up this world because time is short.
And because we invest in those, the Lord keeps giving us more
so we can continue to invest in them so that that message,
because we do the same thing.
I mean, we're doing the same, but we're on a smaller scale, right?
And so like Jonathan's ministry is much larger.
And so is the river, which is the two places that we invest in heavily.
Not to say that we won't get there. But again, like he who is faithful with a little will be faithful with much.
The more we show we're faithful, the more God will give to us.
And then who knows where that'll take us as far as will we be doing the same thing and to what
level and what that looks like i don't know right but you have to be faithful in those things and be
doing them which we are we do win souls and we do um do a lot of things that most ours might not
look like theirs though because god's got tom on a whole different trajectory than them but
but again it goes uh I'll look at this scripture
and then we will close out.
2 Corinthians 9, 6.
Just remember, what you put in, you get out.
But it says, but this I say,
he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly,
and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
So whatever you put in to the measure you do is the measure you get back.
And I can promise you, like, the time that Tom and I have put in, we've reaped.
Like, the more we put in in the more we reap back the financial
side of things is the same it's no different the more we sow in the more we
get back almost to the to the extent that you just sit there and go the math
does not add up but it doesn't have to add up because it's it's god's math so does anybody want to add anything else to
to what we're talking about cj oh my gosh that's the best that's what i was thinking
exactly oh my gosh that's like the best way to end right now does anybody want to add anything
besides that cute little face i got got nothing. That was really good.
Thanks for having me.
I know.
Missed you.
And we miss you too.
Thanks for coming.
Appreciate it because we needed you.
I know.
Big time.
Big time.
So I hope you'll sit there and think about, like, who am I?
Am I the rich young ruler?
Am I Zacchaeus the tax collector?
Because one, in the eyes of the world looked really great,
and the other one was widely hated.
But one was willing to go way further than the other as far as with their walk with God.
And one of them was given salvation, and the other one was not.
So everybody always looks at what's the pretty picture?
Everybody always looks at the one that looks just so perfect
and looks
and does things so perfectly. And they think they got it going on. But in all actuality, sometimes
that's just not the case. It's the ones that really hunger and thirst after righteousness
and are willing to like, let it lay it all down, lay it all down for him. And those are the ones
that the Lord looks at and goes, that's my guy. So be willing to lay it all down for him. And those are the ones that the Lord looks at and goes,
that's my guy. So be willing to lay it all down for him because he is worthy
and you will reap what you sow. All right. Have a great weekend. We'll see you on Sunday.
And thanks for joining in. Bye. Real talk Real talk you you
