Starting point is 00:00:00 Real Talk. Real Talk. Real Talk. Real Talk. Happy Good Friday. It is a great day indeed. Sunday is's gonna be a great day as well that is my my retro Casio retro Casio retro Casio telling me it's 3 o'clock Tom hates that literally hates my Casio watches
Starting point is 00:00:37 it's rude I know it is rude why doesn't he love it because he thinks they're cheap retro he did make fun of it. I love them. I don't care. All the time he makes fun of them.
Starting point is 00:00:49 I have them in rose gold, silver, and gold. I love them. I have nice watches, but I like my retro Casio. I don't know. That thing, it beeps all the time. And then for some reason, one of them goes off, has an alarm that goes off for like a minute. He's like, can you please turn that thing off?
Starting point is 00:01:08 I can imagine. I don't know which one it is. And I don't even know how to make it stop. So let's just live for the whole minute. Oh, my gosh. I don't know which one it is. Yeah. And they're all in the same place together.
Starting point is 00:01:23 So figure that one out. It's not going to happen. It's sad. It is sad. Okay. So guys, keep yourselves on if you want. I'm here. But here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Like these, this is a, yes, Wednesdays was weird for me because it was so like not the way we normally do it. And even I don't normally teach like that. Like I don't read a whole bunch. I know. I know. Super weird for me. It was different, but I liked it.
Starting point is 00:01:51 It's very different. I got a lot of good feedback from it. So. I'd got nothing. I mean, I think I could. No, that's not true. Okay. My mother.
Starting point is 00:02:02 Yeah, of course. My mother said she loved it. She's watched it I don't know how many times. Oh, wow. But like your mother is. And then Jolene always. Oh, Jolene. Sweet.
Starting point is 00:02:13 Such an encourager. Like can always like she's like a sibling. Like you know how your family has to. That's how Jolene is. Kind of pretty much stuck doing it. She has to encourage you. She has to do it. But only people like them have.
Starting point is 00:02:33 Not that I'm looking for it because I'm not. I'm not. So I'm glad you guys have heard things because it's totally out of character. Not you. Not you. I meant Tracy because Tracy's the one that said something. That she had heard feedback. Go ahead, Vanessa. I was going to say say even in the comments when you were live yeah people were
Starting point is 00:02:49 even chiming in saying this is good I'm learning so much oh good I thought I thought you said that it was quiet well it was but like we would get a little comments here and there like and at the end we got a lot of like thank you so much this was so good but like during it it was quiet it was quiet and i think it was because people were like really like taking in what you were saying i don't want to be boring yeah no nobody's boring yeah and the numbers there ain't no other way to do it there isn't there really isn't because listen if you want something tangled up real quick something like that don't have me do it without it being read. Right.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Yeah. I'll have all those facts mixed up. For real. We'll all be going to hell in two seconds because we won't know. We can sit in the choir right here. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:03:33 Jesus would not be our salvation if I had to memorize that stuff. Yeah. We'd be in big trouble. We'd be in big trouble. Big trouble. I'd have all the facts screwed up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:43 But I do want to apologize because I know reading is not cool there's a time and a place and this felt very appropriate we had conversation listen, it's true everybody agrees with me, come on
Starting point is 00:03:58 I need the comments back me up people I do that's Daniel Daniel, he said never boring You don't need the comments. Back me up, people. No, I do. Whoever is holy mower. That's Daniel. Daniel? He said, never boring. Never boring.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Never boring. See, Daniel? That's why we keep you around. Is that my Daniel that's out there right now? Yes. Daniel, get back to work. Please. Thank you, Daniel.
Starting point is 00:04:19 You're so kind. I think reading is very cool. I'll see. Where are you, anyway? You said you were going to be here today. She has. It's because I think reading is very cool. I'll see. Where are you anyway? You said you're going to be here today. She has. It's because I'm reading. That's the reason why she's not here today.
Starting point is 00:04:31 Just kidding. Yeah, no. She let us know. She's here, though. She's here. You're here in spirit. Yeah. We miss you.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Yes. Amen. Well, I don't have much time to waste. So you want to go through your thing or do you not want to do that? Why don't we just get into it? Because there's a lot. I know there's a lot. And people are waiting and they know.
Starting point is 00:04:47 So just please share. Go to Rumble. Send in your questions. Thank you. When Tracy found out how many. Listen, Tracy, I don't know if you read all this, but I took out a lot of scripture. Did you? I did read a lot of it.
Starting point is 00:05:01 No, I'm just saying if you read what I put in in there, I didn't even put all the scripture in there. Yeah, I know. I know. I know because I was making sure I didn't miss anything because there is scripture in there, just not the scripture. There's so much. There's the address, yeah. And Vanessa, Talia will be happy that Talia is not having to do it today.
Starting point is 00:05:17 But listen. We've got a system. Let's remember. We've got a system. I've got a good system going on. Vanessa is ESL. Isn't that right? Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Yes. Vanessa's ESL. Oh my gosh. Vanessa's ESL and she doesn't type for a living. Let's take it easy on the chick. Listen, I saw her over there just beforehand and I thought we're in big trouble. I saw her over there going. I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised. I am too. She did not have her hands on home row people.
Starting point is 00:05:44 She doesn't even know what that means no i don't there you go no listen we got a system i prove my case oh my gosh you know what home row is tracy yes it's like how you hold the things right yeah yeah like it has to be in the right location but i don't do that either i use like like, you be you guys. You be you. That's it. I'm just saying, if you have to wait a really long time for Zachariah, and if it's misspelled,
Starting point is 00:06:11 take it easy on a girl. I'm so glad you think so highly of me. Thank you. You know, you're the one that says you're ESL. Right. I can still type. I'm just talking about the spelling.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Yeah, I'm just saying it could take you a while on the spelling. I mean, on the typing. The spelling. Do you know how long? Hope. Confessions. I didn't even know how to spell psych. That's why she's so worried about it.
Starting point is 00:06:39 I didn't. Oh, my gosh. I can't tell you how many times it took me to do it. And I'm not ESL. And I know home row. Oh, my gosh I can't tell you how many times it took me to do it so and I'm not ESL and I know home row oh my gosh I'm bilingual she is we're we're good listen that's what we're gonna do I'm gonna copy I'm not worried about her I'm just listen she's my she's my amusement she's my fodder right okay don't worry guys we got a system hope doesn't even know I don't I'm not worried about it okay good because I, because we've got it.
Starting point is 00:07:05 But it's stinking. And it will be perfect. It's pretty dang funny. I'm just using her for my amusement. Yeah, okay. Yes, do it. And I have thick skin. She does.
Starting point is 00:07:15 You can handle it. She only cries when you leave the room. Only when you leave the room. Well, listen, I just confessed. I didn't know how to spell it either. So now you don't have to cry over that one. So cry for me, Argentina. When you're crying for yourself cry for me okay all right here we go here we go now this stuff i'm just telling you if i do not know how i i mean i do know how i was gonna say i don't know
Starting point is 00:07:40 how the jewish faith does not believe that jesus is actually the messiah and not a great prophet i know i do not understand this it's hard when they're so like all like when we get through all this and they i know because when you look at what the old testament says but they they refuse to look at the new testament that's that's Testament. That's how it's justified. But I'm just saying, if you take the Old Testament scriptures and you just apply it to what they know, they do know that Jesus came and walked this earth. They do know that he was a great prophet. They know of him. So if you just studied him out personally and use the Old Testament scriptures that spoke about the Messiah who was to come, how you cannot correlate that he is that this, this guy, that he's the Messiah.
Starting point is 00:08:38 I do not understand. Other than it's just pure and simple obstinance. It's the refusal to receive the truth. It's just like Jesus says, because I tell you the truth, you do not believe me. That's what he said to them. Because I tell you the truth, you do not believe me. You could say that even to this day about what's going on in the world today. There's a lot of people that have, they come to this church, they walk out of this church because Tom will say something like the truth about what's going on in the world today. And because it's a bad decision that they've made on their part. Well, I'll just say it because of vaccines.
Starting point is 00:09:21 He'll say he'll pray for the vaccine to get out of their body or the vaccine is this or that, and that it's killing people, which it is. People literally, when he says, when he starts talking about vaccines, people will get up and leave. And a lot of times it's older couples. The reason they're leaving is because, I tell you the truth, you do not believe me, they'd rather not face the fact that they've done something that they shouldn't have done. Walk out of the room, be in blissful ignorance, which you're not.
Starting point is 00:09:51 When if hands were laid on you, you could be healed. But for me, it's the same thing with this, this, the Jewish people refusing to believe who he is because salvation only comes through him. They will not, they will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. That's the scary part about it. So for me, it's like blissful ignorance is not going to get you anywhere. You can get vaccinated, still go to heaven. But you cannot deny him as Lord and Savior
Starting point is 00:10:18 and that he is the Messiah and go to heaven. And it's very, very scary. So this stuff is what we're going to focus on today is all of prophecies fulfilled by Jesus. So what we're going to specifically talk about today is everything that it speaks about in the Old Testament about Jesus and who he is, and then where we see it in the New Testament.
Starting point is 00:10:44 And then I'm going to'm gonna for example we're laughing we're making fun of zachariah because you know i couldn't even spell it and i'm trusting that tracy helps vanessa we did we have a system could you spell zachariah no of course god bless i know can't spell anything listen some of my great you know some of my closest friends named their kids Zachariah. Why? I'm like, what are you doing? Why would you do that to us? We're just going to call you Zach.
Starting point is 00:11:11 We call him Baby Z. Thank you for that. But I'm like, how in the world? I wouldn't do it just because no one's going to know how to spell the daggum name. Great prophet, though. Great prophet. Facts. But all I'm saying is, none of us in this room,
Starting point is 00:11:29 except, let me just ask the one other person in this room that nobody knows about, which is Vanessa's daughter. Emma, do you know how to spell Zachariah? Yeah. Do you know how to spell it? God bless, she doesn't either. Of course, she's homeschooled by Vanessa So voila Not too surprised about that
Starting point is 00:11:47 But in all fairness If I brought Norma in the room She'd look at me like I had three eyes Like She'd be like are you kidding me don't even I don't know You know who knows how to spell it Sarah
Starting point is 00:12:00 100% she already did in the comments I'm sure And Aaron I'm sure Aaron And Aaron. I'm sure she did. I'm sure Aaron does too because, you know. I don't know. I mean, Aaron's smart, but he might not be a speller. A speller. Okay. I'm a speller, but some things are like, I'm just looking that up.
Starting point is 00:12:16 I'm just looking that up. Come on. Please. Let me put this on. Hold on. Let me just make sure. I'm going to put my phone on do not disturb. All right.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Tracy had to teach me how to do that. I know. Look at you. Way to go, girl. You figured it out. A year and two months later. Listen. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:12:33 Not the brightest light bulb in the box. Don't claim to be. Just getting the job done. Oh, my gosh. Because nobody else is willing to do it. Yeah. Same. Voila.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Same. It's all in the room. I it. Yeah. Same. Voila. Same. It's all in the room. You know, listen. You know, it all goes you usually hang around the people that you're most like. Yeah, it's true. Or you form to each other and then you're, we're in big trouble.
Starting point is 00:13:03 Maybe we'll learn to spell from you because you're a good speller. No I mean I'm better speller than most but you're not gonna learn from me but I'm worse than most so maybe we'll like equal out probably not no okay if you ain't got it now you ain't getting it because you don't care I do it just it's something in there just like like it's just like I'm'm just going to type it. Sometimes I type it into Google, and Google's still like, what are you saying? Oh. You know?
Starting point is 00:13:30 Oh, yeah. That's happened to me. Yeah. Yeah. I'm like, I don't know. I don't even know. Like, I can't even figure out. Like, I know the first letter.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Right. And then after that. It's the P-H's, guys. The ones that are like all the little, the G-H, P-H, like all the little phonetically things that do not go well together. It's the English language. I will tell you about Spanish. Everything is spelled phonetically.
Starting point is 00:13:56 No, that's what's great about it. That's what confused me about it, though. Why do we make it so complicated? That's what got me, though, because phonetically it was right, and I'm used to being jammed up. So I should have passed, but I didn't. You should have. Yeah, you should have.
Starting point is 00:14:11 If we made the rules. I am a little bitter towards the Spanish language, although it is one of the most pretty. I know. I love it. It really is. It is a very pretty language. It is.
Starting point is 00:14:22 Okay, this is a normal podcast right now, and I'm jacking things up. Okay, go. We're podcast right now. And I'm, I'm jacking, I'm jacking things up. We're going to take forever. Okay. Here we go. Here we go. Back to the point, out in the world, the Jewish people or anybody else for that matter, that, that, uh, really ever looks into Christianity or religions or whatever. And you you know, really, this whole entire thing just proves why people hate Christianity so much. And anything that you know why it's, it's obsolete in the school system, because it is the most, most truth. It is the most real, and it is the most validated religion there is out there. You put anything else out there, it's a counterfeit.
Starting point is 00:15:05 And the world is okay with counterfeits because there's nothing behind them. But you put something in that there's a moral compass to things. There is something where people have to live a certain lifestyle for being holy or of good character or things like that. Because people, the word is true that the heart is deceitful among all things. And so people don't want to live a holy lifestyle. Anything that makes you compelled to be better than what you want to be, you will run from it or you will despise it rather than gravitate and embrace it. And that's why Nara is the way if you there be
Starting point is 00:15:46 that find it so um that's why i truly believe in a lot of like it's out of the um you don't see the ten commandments in in any kind of courtrooms anymore you don't see um prayer in the schools anymore they're removing it so that lifestyles, like Tracy said, her daughters were watching CNN for the first 30. You can't have CNN playing when you have anything biblical based in a school. When you take prayer out of school, I mean, I don't even know
Starting point is 00:16:18 if they do the Pledge of Allegiance anymore. That's a good question. I'm gonna ask. I mean, let me see, Heather. That's Heather good question. I'm going to ask. Let me see. Heather? That's Heather texting me. And I have my phone on. Now I've got to get my computer where I can't even hear it.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Why can't I hear my computer? God bless people. I'm really sorry about that. Yeah. But so, like, you could not allow transgender you could not allow uh the the homosexual homosexual lifestyle nothing in there where jesus is applied because jesus brings conviction right not guilt right jesus brings conviction so they got to remove all of that so that anything goes. In any other religion, anything goes. Even like the Islamic, I mean, they have a strict guideline with Muhammad.
Starting point is 00:17:17 But I mean, anything goes even in that. That's crazy. So, but Jesus brings something that no other religion does. And that's the reason why he cannot exist in any kind of system that regulates how people's lifestyle should be. Does that make sense? Yep, it sure does. Which is sad. But this stuff, again, pencil and paper, you're going to need it. Because when we go off, does all of the scriptures go off? They do in Rumble because it's in the live chat.
Starting point is 00:17:54 And Facebook, they'll still be there. Black Robe, I don't think so because it's the live chat. And then also YouTube is a live chat. So no, Facebook will have the scriptures still okay so if if you don't have a pencil and paper the only way to get these is because you're going to want them yeah i mean yeah you can re-watch um if you're doing a replay on rumble right now you just as you go just pause write them down get yeah pen and paper replay yeah hashtag replay but if you want to get them. So close to do not disturb.
Starting point is 00:18:27 I thought I was on do not disturb. Yeah, it is on do not disturb. Oh, you know why? Because Heather is one of my. Yes, you guys. There are certain people that are. She's one of them. Why am I still hearing her?
Starting point is 00:18:40 Okay. Not that you care. Not that you need to know. Let's move it. Okay, so let's get going. The Messiah will be born in Bethlehem. So in Micah 5.2 in the Old Testament, the scripture reads,
Starting point is 00:18:56 But you, O Bethlehem, Ephrath, are only a small religion to Judah, yet a ruler of Israel will come from you, one whose origins are from the distant past. So we already knew. I mean, this is the thing that drives me crazy again with the Jewish people, because Micah, they know about Micah and they know that the Messiah would come from Bethlehem. Okay. And it says. Yet a ruler of Israel. Come from you.
Starting point is 00:19:27 One whose origins are from the distant past. So you say well that's not necessarily the Messiah. But when we get done adding all these things up. It points. And it actually says. He is the Messiah. So it's not rocket science here. It's not like brain surgery.
Starting point is 00:19:43 To figure this out. It is a thoughtful process of saying, I don't believe this regardless of anything you tell me. It's like, I'll give you an example. I listened to John Hagee, I mean, not John Hagee, about Kenneth Hagan today. He healed a woman of deaf ears. She thought the person that was speaking to her was directly behind her. She ended up finding out that the person that was directly behind her was way down back behind the tent.
Starting point is 00:20:19 And she could actually hear him. Oh, wow. And when it was all said and done, and she had her hearing, she turned around, and he's like, the guy that you think is talking to you right behind you is way back behind the tent. He's not even, you can hear him and he's halfway down the tent. She turns around and she goes, I still don't believe it. I still don't believe it. It's not going to happen this way. So she literally rejected her healing because it didn't come the way that she thought it would come. It should be harder than that. And that's how we are. That's how we are.
Starting point is 00:20:49 We as believers, the Jewish faith is the same way with this. If it doesn't come in the package that we think it should come in, we don't receive it. And that's a hardness of heart. That is a willful decision to reject the truth. And there will be consequences for that, for not just in this, but in things in general in life that come our way, that either God is bringing to us or healings, whatever it is, it's just like that lady. So it's just, don't be like that. Be open to the truth, but make sure it's the truth. Not be open to compliance, open to compromise. Don't be open to that. Be open to the word of God.
Starting point is 00:21:33 We're open to the truth and maybe in ways that you never thought were possible. So who was the prophet Micah? Micah was an eighth. And the reason I'm going to tell you about these guys is so that you understand. They're not just willy-nilly, like saying whatever. These guys were genuine prophets. They actually were men of God that were about great things, okay? Micah was an eighth century B.C. prophet. He lived at the same time as the prophets Amos, Hosea, and Isaiah.
Starting point is 00:22:03 The book of Micah tells how the judgment of God will fall on Samaria and Jerusalem due to sin. And afterwards, God will give restoration. Micah describes a wonderful future where the city of Bethlehem will give a birth to a ruler greater than David, which Jesus was actually a descendant of his. And a lot of people don't realize this,
Starting point is 00:22:22 but Joseph and Mary were relatives of each other. They're believed to have been cousins. Usually you married within the same tribe and you married within, it's always with family. So when they say that Joseph was a descendant of King David, so was Mary because they were family. So they were both descendants of King David. Does that make sense? Yep. Perfect. He also prophesied a time when Jerusalem would become the religious center of the world. So let's look at the fulfillment of this prophecy in scripture. In Matthew 2, 1 through 6, it says
Starting point is 00:22:57 Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Judea during the reign of King Herod. About that time, some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, where is the newborn king of the Jews? We have seen his star as it arose, and we have come to worship him. Herod was deeply disturbed by their question, as was all of Jerusalem, because he was afraid somebody was going to take over. Like, he was the king, and nobody's going to take his spot. And this threatened him. He called a meeting of the leading priests and teachers of the religious law. Where did the prophets say the Messiah would be born? Even he.
Starting point is 00:23:31 Even he knew. Okay. Say, where did the prophets say the Messiah would be born? He asked them. In Bethlehem, they said. For this is what the prophet wrote. A Bethlehem of Judea. You are not just a lowly village in Judah, for a ruler will come from you who will be the shepherd for my people Israel. So that was prophesied long ago. And that's how
Starting point is 00:23:58 everyone knew. Even Herod knew. Luke 2, 4-5, 7-15 And because Joseph was a descendant of King David He had to go to Bethlehem in Judea David's ancient home So Joseph was a descendant of King David So was Mary And he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea David's ancient home
Starting point is 00:24:23 He traveled there from the village of Nazareth in Galilee. He took with him Mary, his fiancee, who was obviously pregnant by this time. She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the village inn. When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, Come on, let's go to Bethlehem. That's the angel that came to them. John 7.42 says, that the Messiah will be born of the royal line of David in Bethlehem, the village of where King David was born.
Starting point is 00:25:07 So fulfillment in scripture, it's plain and clear that the Messiah would come and be born in Bethlehem. And that was said in Micah, and then it was said in the three different places I mentioned. The Messiah will be born of a virgin. Okay, this is not by accident. In Isaiah 7, 14, it says, All right then, the Lord be born of a virgin. Okay. This is not by accident. In Isaiah 7, 14, it says, all right, then the Lord himself will choose a sign. Look, the virgin will conceive
Starting point is 00:25:31 a child. She will give birth to a son and we'll call him Emmanuel, God with us. If that doesn't prove it, I don't know. I don't know. Like you have to be willfully obstinate not to believe that he is the Messiah. And it was so funny to me is everybody thought he would come as a man when it clearly says a virgin will conceive. So why you wouldn't your mind wouldn't be open to believe that potentially he was born as a baby. Also, I don't know. But we always, our ideas of how things will play out and how they truly play out are two different things. Isaiah 9, 6 through 7 says, and I love Isaiah.
Starting point is 00:26:15 He is such a great prophet. Isaiah 9, 6 through 7 says, For a child is born to us, a son is given to us, and the government will rest on his shoulders. This will be his loyal titles. Wonderful, counselor, mighty God, everlasting father, prince of peace. His ever-expanding peaceful government will never end. He will rule forever with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor, David. The passionate commitment of the Lord Almighty
Starting point is 00:26:45 will guarantee this. Now let's talk about Isaiah. Who is Isaiah? Isaiah is a prophet who lived in Jerusalem in the 8th century BC. The book of Isaiah is one of the four major prophetic books in the Old Testament, along with Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Now if you want to know about end times prophecy, these four guys are ones that are major players. Ezekiel is huge with end time prophecy. All four of them, though, you want to learn that and know it better? Study those four books in the Old Testament. Those prophets were phenomenal as far as giving us insight in the end times. Chapter 7 of Isaiah was written about 735 B.C. King Ahaz was on the throne, and Isaiah was sent with the message that God was sending Judah a sign. This sign would be a child called God is with us.
Starting point is 00:27:51 So we're going to look at the scriptures that show the fulfillment of that prophecy that Isaiah said. Matthew 1, 20 through 23 says, And he considered this, he fell asleep, and an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. Joseph, son of David, the angel said, Do not be afraid to go ahead with your marriage to Mary, for the child within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit, and she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus,
Starting point is 00:28:16 for he will save his people from their sins. All of this happened to fulfill the Lord's message through his prophet. Look, the virgin will conceive a child. She will give birth to a son and he will be called Emmanuel, meaning God is with us, which is crazy. No, you know what? You know, I know there it is. But, you know, I also think of how many things could have gone wrong.
Starting point is 00:28:38 Yeah. And Jesus being born. Yeah, a lot. Like the stage that had to be set and the people that had to agree to it. Right. Just Mary simply saying, no, I'm not. Because usually when girls, people got married between the ages of 14 and, let me see. um now the the guy could be as old as the old as like um 16 to 40 is you could be married and but the the girls usually married prior to that they were like 14 um i want to say like into the early
Starting point is 00:29:16 20s so usually they but some speculate that and i say some because i've i don't want to make it sound like this is true some speculate she was like 14 years old. Right. I heard that too. So if you're 14 years old and you say, yes, I will. How mature, spiritually speaking, are you to say to an angel, yes, I am blessed and highly favored. Because he told her she was. You're blessed and highly favored.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Yeah. Which we are too. There's only two places in scripture that says that someone is blessed and highly favored. One is to marry. Blessed and highly favored where they both mean the same thing. Okay. Because different words mean different things in the Greek and the Hebrew. But there's only two places.
Starting point is 00:30:01 One is to marry when the angel said to her that she would be, she would, she would give birth to the, to the Messiah. And then to us. Yeah. Where we are, we are told we're blessed and highly favored. That's amazing. I know. So it's pretty crazy. So she had to be, she was one of the players that had to say, yes, I'll do this. When she said, yes, I'll give birth to the Lord or to Jesus, what she was saying is I'm taking the chance that I'm going to die. Because what would happen is if you got pregnant or if you were thought to be impure before you got married, your spouse could actually have you stoned to death.
Starting point is 00:30:48 He could divorce you quietly, but then he would be humiliated. Or he could say that she's unclean and he could have you stoned to death. So like she was taking her life into her hands. And then on top of that, Joseph was going to have to be embarrassed. Yeah. Exactly. Because everybody knew. Right.
Starting point is 00:31:10 Everybody knows that that marriage isn't consummated. Right. And then on top of that, Joseph had to be smart enough to know, I'm not going to consummate this marriage after I'm married. Right. Like there's so many things. So many. That have to take place
Starting point is 00:31:25 in order for this to, like, people. I know. That's why I always say, your steps are ordered. Just follow the steps. I know.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Just follow it out. It's mind-blowing what God can do if we are obedient. But if those two would have said no. Right. Right. I don't know. I mean, I'm those two would have said no. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:31:45 I don't know. I mean, I'm sure God would have used somebody else, but it's pretty powerful. Yeah, it is. The Messiah will be a prophet like Moses. And people don't, I mean, this is crazy, but in Deuteronomy, Moses actually wrote Deuteronomy. Moses wrote Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
Starting point is 00:32:04 He wrote those five books. Deuteronomy. Moses wrote Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. He wrote those five books. Deuteronomy 18, 15. The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your fellow Israelites, and you must listen to that prophet. And this is one of the first five books. It's called the Torah for the Jewish people. Some of them memorize this. They have to have this memorized.
Starting point is 00:32:30 How again? I don't know. Deuteronomy 1.1, it has an A because the verse isn't completely, the whole thing isn't completely done. So we're going to do Deuteronomy 1.1a. It states, this book records the words that Moses spoke to all the people of Israel while they were in the wilderness east of the Jordan River so they hadn't crossed over yet into the promised land okay it says these words were written about uh 2060 BC so over a thousand
Starting point is 00:32:59 years before Jesus would ever be born throughout the book of Deuteronomy, Moses talks to the people of Israel as they are about to enter the promised land. He reminds them of their covenant with God and their glorious future if they obey him. Now let's look at the fulfillment in scripture where it talks about these things that come to pass. John 7 40 through 42 says, when the crowds heard him say this, some of them declared this man surely is the prophet. Others said, he is the Messiah. And still others said, but he can't be. Will the Messiah come from Galilee?
Starting point is 00:33:35 For the scriptures clearly state that the Messiah will be born of the royal line of David in Bethlehem, the village where King David was born. Acts 3.20-23 says, Then wonderful times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will send Jesus your Messiah to you again, for he must remain in heaven until the time for the final restoration of all things, as God promised long ago through his prophets. Moses said, and this is where this comes into it, Moses says, the Lord your God will raise up a prophet like me from among your own people. Listen carefully to everything he tells you.
Starting point is 00:34:08 And then Moses said, anyone who will not listen to that prophet will be cut off from God's people and utterly destroyed. And who is he saying that to? He's saying that to the Israelites, to the Jewish people. That is a warning. That was a warning from back then to present for them to wake up and understand like who he was and to receive him, not to reject him. But again, that's not what has happened. He's been rejected from his own. He was actually rejected from his own people. They put him on the cross. They crucified him and they still aren't receiving him. And they had clear warnings of this. The Messiah will be tempted by Satan. Psalm,
Starting point is 00:34:52 like people don't, like people don't dig deep, but Psalms is full of prophecy. It's very interesting. But Psalm 91, everybody's favorite, right? Everybody loves Psalm 91. Psalm 91, 10 through 12. No evil will conquer you. No plague will come near your dwelling, for he orders his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands to keep you from striking your foot on a stone. Let's look at the prophecy of Psalms. It is difficult to date the individual Psalms, but King David is credited with writing many of them. And the collection of these hymns continued after the days of Israel's exile. It is believed the collection was finalized before the second century BC. Let's look at the fulfillment of the scripture in Matthew 4, 5 through 7. It says, then the devil took him to Jerusalem, to the highest point of the temple, and said,
Starting point is 00:35:45 If you are the Son of God, jump off. For the Scriptures say, He orders His angels to protect you, and they will hold you with their hands to keep you from striking your foot on the stone. If you don't think Satan knows the word, he does. And he will try and use it against you. He's a deceiver.
Starting point is 00:36:02 He is a liar. And what he does is he tries to take the scriptures and twist them so that you can fall to temptation and you live in sin. You need to know your word because this is what Jesus replied with. Jesus responded, the scriptures also say, do not test the Lord your God. Know your word. Okay. Super important the messiah will enter jerusalem triumphantly we talked about this on wednesday zachariah there we go my girl you got it she got it she gave me the thumbs up zachariah 99 says rejoice greatly oh people of zion shout in triumph oh people of jerusalem look your king is coming to you he is righteous and victorious yet he is humble riding on a donkey Let's look at Zechariah and who he was.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Zechariah the prophet came from a priestly family. He was a visionary who, with the prophet Haggai, worked on the rebuilding of the temple. The New Testament Gospels quote Zechariah more than any other prophet. Isn't that interesting? In the New Testament that he is referred back to, or the scriptures that he wrote are referenced more than any other prophet. That's amazing. Part one of the book of Zechariah was written in 520 B.C.
Starting point is 00:37:23 Zechariah spoke about the judgment and salvation of God and about the coming Messiah who would be a priest, governor, humble king, and afflicted shepherd. Let's look at the fulfillment of scripture in this. Now, I'm going to say this kind of slowly for you because here's the thing. I didn't put these scriptures in for her, Vanessa, but would you reference them? and I'll say I'm slowly, um, reference them for people that if they want to look them up, they can
Starting point is 00:37:51 besides, cause listen, we would have so much scripture. I couldn't put all of it in. So I started just on ones that have so many, I just started narrowing it down. So Matthew 21, 8 through 11. And then John 12, 12 through 15. Do you have those notes too? Okay, in case she doesn't get one. Yeah. Perfect. Then that'll back you up.
Starting point is 00:38:20 Okay, Vanessa. So I'm going to give you now Luke 19, 35 through 37, because we have others. So I just didn't want to keep reading scripture after scripture to you guys, but you need to write those down because they will be good references for you. So they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their garments over it for him to ride on. Then the crowd spread out their coats on the road ahead of Jesus. As they reached the place where the road started from the Mount of Olives,
Starting point is 00:38:50 all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen. Then we're going to go to the Messiah will be rejected by his own people. Isaiah spoke about this in Isaiah 53, 1 and 3. Who has believed our message? To whom will the Lord reveal his saving power? He was despised and rejected, a man of sorrows acquainted with bitterest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way when he went by. He was despised and we did not care. How profound that Isaiah would clearly depict that whole situation so clearly and so beautifully, because it is exactly how Jesus was treated.
Starting point is 00:39:33 About the prophecy of Isaiah, chapters 40, which, let me look. Hold on. Oh, okay. Chapters. So if you go back to Isaiah, chapter 40 through 55, and we just read 53. So those books, 40 through 55 in the book of Isaiah, address the people in exile in Babylon directly before the time of the return from 538 BC. But chapter 53 is known specifically as the prophecy of the suffering servant. Okay. So that's why that's pointed out specifically. The fulfillment of this prophecy, we can find in, now I'm going to give you two more. Okay. She's good now. Okay. Perfect. Thank you so much. John 1. That's what I was, when I was telling you about that,
Starting point is 00:40:24 does that make sense now? Because it's kind of confusing how I was saying it before. No, I got it. Reference scriptures in John 1, 10 through 11, and Matthew 26, 3 through 4, also talk about this. But let's look specifically at John 12, 37 through 38. It says, But despite all the miraculous signs he had done,
Starting point is 00:40:43 most of the people did not believe in him. This is exactly what Isaiah the prophet had predicted. Lord, who has believed our message? To whom will the Lord reveal his saving power? So powerful. The Messiah will be betrayed by one of his followers. So this is found in Psalm 41 at 9, and this is the NIV. Even my close friend whom I trusted, he who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.
Starting point is 00:41:15 Psalm 55, 12 through 13 says, It is not an enemy who taunts me. I could bear that. It is not my foes who so arrogantly insult me. I could have hidden from them. Instead, it is you, my equal, my companion and close friend. So about the prophecy from Psalms. In Psalm 41, Psalm 41 is a Psalm from David. And he speaks of his own isolation and his trust in God. He describes how the sharing of food unites people in loyalty and friendship. And Psalm 55 is a Psalm of David as well. And in this Psalm, he outlines the betrayal of a trusted friend who was seemingly a follower of God. Both of these
Starting point is 00:41:59 Psalms prophesy the betrayal of Jesus by a close friend and a trusted friend. We're going to see this prophecy fulfilled in scriptures that can be found in Luke 22, 21 through 22, 47b. When it talks about 47a, 47b, it would be the last half of the verse in 47. For some of you guys, sometimes they break up scriptures and then they do them a's and b's guys i don't know why but it's i guess so we can find them more easily but and then john 13 um 18 21 and 26 so john uh verse or excuse me john chapter 13 verse 18 21 26. And then we're going to go straight to Matthew 26, 47, 49 through 50a. Okay. And even as he, and even as he said this, Judas, one of the 12 disciples arrived with a mob that was armed with swords and clubs. They had been sent out by the leading priest and other
Starting point is 00:43:02 leaders of the people. So Judas came straight to Jesus. Greetings, teacher, he exclaimed, and gave him the kiss. Jesus gave him the kiss. Jesus said, my friend, go ahead and do what you have come to do. Or you do what you have come. My friend, go ahead and do what you have come for. So the Messiah will be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver. I'm going to go back to Zechariah 11, 12 through 13.
Starting point is 00:43:31 This is King James Version. And I said unto them, if you think good, give me my piece, give me my price. And if not, forbear. So they weighed for me, for they weighed. I'm reading way too much. So they weighed for my price for they weighed. I'm reading way too much. So they weighed for my price 30 pieces of silver. And the Lord said unto me, cast it unto the potter, and a goodly price that I have.
Starting point is 00:43:56 My eyes are getting weak. Kid you not. Hold on one second. Two seconds. Hold on. My eyes are getting weak. Kid you not. Hold on one second. Two seconds. I know. No, you just get your friends, get your little helpers. There we go. And we're back. I'm back. My eyes are so, my eyes were getting weak. That's not good. I pray over my eyes every day. So does my mom.
Starting point is 00:44:28 Every day. I refuse to get prescription glasses. I know, so does my mom. My eyes will be healed every day. My eyes will not grow dim, is what she says. I speak to my eyes every day. Yep. Oh, I feel so much better. That's bad.
Starting point is 00:44:42 And I said unto them, if you think good, give me my price, and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver, and the Lord said unto me, Cast it unto the potter, a goodly price that I was prized out of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord. So the prophecy of Zechariah, it says in chapter 11, the book of Zechariah, the prophet refers to 30 shekels of silver as a goodly price. This amount also refers to the amount paid for the life of the slave, which they call Jesus.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Zechariah's prophecy speaks about the amount paid for the Lord and his life. So let's look at this in scripture. Matthew 26, 14 through 16. It says, Then Judas Iscariot, one of the 12 disciples, went to the leading priest and asked, How much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you? And they gave him 30 pieces of silver. From that time on, Judas began looking for the right time and place to betray Jesus.
Starting point is 00:45:42 And Matthew 27, 3-4a, it says, When Judas, who had betrayed him, realized that Jesus had been condemned to die, he was filled with remorse. So he took the 30 pieces of silver back to the leading priest and the other leaders. I have sinned, he declared, for I have betrayed an innocent man. The Messiah will be tried and condemned. Isaiah 53, 8 says, and this is Old Testament, from prison and trial, they led him away to his death.
Starting point is 00:46:14 But who among the people realized that he was dying for their sins, that he was suffering their punishment? Now, back then, Isaiah, they were, they were killing, sacrificing animals, okay? For him to understand that a man was giving up his life for the payment of all mankind's sins, it only can be God-inspired, okay? And again, the Jewish people read Isaiah. They understand it. How they are not putting the two together, I don't know. So the fulfillment of this prophecy is found in Matthew 27, 1 through 2, Luke 23, 1 and 23. So it would be Luke 23, verse 1 and 23. Okay. But we're going to look at Acts 4, 26 through 28. It says,
Starting point is 00:47:04 the kings of the earth prepared for battle The rulers gathered together against the Lord and against his Messiah That is what has happened here in the city For Herod, Antipas, Pontius Pilate, the governor, the Gentiles, and the people of Israel Were all united against Jesus, your holy servant whom you anointed In fact, everything they did occurred according to your eternal will and plan. Let's look at the Messiah will be silent before his accusers. Psalm 3511 says,
Starting point is 00:47:33 Malicious witness testify against me. They accuse me of things I don't even know about. Isaiah 53 7 through 8a it says he was oppressed and treaty and treated harshly yet he never said a word he was led as a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep is silent before the shears he did not open his mouth from prison and trial they led him away to his death you know so many people are so afraid to give a prophetic word to anybody because they're afraid, what if I'm wrong? But this man, this prophet,
Starting point is 00:48:09 gave so many prophecies that were so like specific and so direct. I mean, we're afraid to just give a word to a person. I know. He didn't even live to see this fulfilled.
Starting point is 00:48:25 Right. The chances you're taking. Yeah, that's true. That's true. The fulfillment of prophecy in scripture. Reference, so you can go to Matthew 27, 12 through 14 and Mark 15, three through five as well. But first Peter two, 22 through 23 says he never sinned.
Starting point is 00:48:47 He never deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted. And when he suffered, he did not threaten to get even. He left his case in the hands of God who always judges fairly. And I would say to you, let this be a lesson to all of us. So many times when people come against us, we want to go after them. We want to retaliate. We want to, you know, have our say. And my thing to you is, is unless you are willing to go directly to that person and speak to them. And, and when I say speak to them, I'm talking about where voices don't get raised and things are handled in a Christlike manner, then don't do it and keep your mouth shut and let God take care of it for you. Because he'll handle it.
Starting point is 00:49:35 He will take care of it. And by when it's all said and done, it will be, I have it written down. It will be fair and just. And that is exactly it's exactly how it will come out. The outcome will be fair and just. But how you handle yourself
Starting point is 00:49:57 and what you say makes all the difference in the world. The Messiah will be smitten and spat on. Micah 5.1 says mobilize, marshal your troops. The enemy is laying siege to Jerusalem. With a rod, they will strike the leader of Israel in the face. Isaiah 50 verse 6 says, I give my back to those who beat me, and my cheeks to those who pull out my beard. I do not hide from shame, for they mock me and spit in my face. Now we see this in Matthew 26, 67 through 68, where this fulfillment does come to pass, this prophecy. Then they spat in Jesus's face and they hit him
Starting point is 00:50:40 with their fists and some slapped him saying, prophesy to us, you Messiah, who hit you that time. Matthew 27, 30 says, and they spit on him and grabbed the stick and beat him on the head with it, which we learned that was probably the 600 soldiers when that happened. Again, how if you read Micah and Isaiah as a Jewish individual and you know about what happened to Jesus, you don't put the two and two together. Where else has this happened in history? It hasn't. Mark 14, 65a says,
Starting point is 00:51:11 Then some of them began to spit at him, and they blindfolded him and hit him in the face with their fist. Mark 15, 19 says, And they beat him on the head with a stick, spit on him, and dropped to their knees in mock worship. John 19, one through three says then pilot had jesus flogged with a lead with a lead tipped whip the shoulder the soldiers made a crown of long sharp thorns and put it on his head and they put a royal purple robe on him
Starting point is 00:51:38 hail king of the jews they mocked and they hit him with their fist. Listen, if on Sunday you don't come and worship him way differently than you ever have in your life, shame on you. Shame on you. After reading these scriptures, knowing what was said and then knowing what was fulfilled and understand the magnitude
Starting point is 00:52:02 and the price that was paid and you don't worship him differently, shame on you. The Messiah will be mocked and taunted. Psalm 22, 7 through 8 says, Everyone who sees me mocks me. They sneer and shake their heads, saying, Is this the one who relies on the Lord? Then let the Lord save him.
Starting point is 00:52:20 If the Lord loves him so much, then let the Lord rescue him. So the Psalms, this Psalms is 22, right? And this Psalm is written by David, and in it he describes an execution. The early portion of the Psalm speaks of the Messiah's suffering. The later portion describes the universal deliverance the Messiah makes possible. And if you see in the scriptures the fulfillment of this prophecy, you'll see it in Matthew 27, 39-40, and Luke 23, 11, and 35. It reads, Now Herod and his soldiers began mocking and ridiculing Jesus,
Starting point is 00:52:59 and then they put a royal robe on him and sent him back to Pilate. The crowd watched, and the leaders laughed and scoffed. He saved others, they said. Let him save himself, if he's really God's chosen one, the Messiah. The Messiah, the next one is the Messiah to die by crucifixion with pierced hands and feet, Psalm 22, which is what we just referred to when we were reading about David. My life is poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax melting within me.
Starting point is 00:53:31 My strength has dried up like sun-baked clay. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have laid me in the dust and left me for dead. My enemies surround me like a pack of dogs. An evil gang closes in on me. They have pierced my hands and feet. Zechariah 12.10a says, Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer for the family of David
Starting point is 00:53:54 and on all the people of Jerusalem. They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. The fulfillment of this prophecy is found in Matthew 27, 31 and John 19, 15 through 16. We're going to read Mark 15, 20. When they were finally tired of mocking him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him again. And then they led him away to be crucified.
Starting point is 00:54:23 The fulfillment of that scripture. The Messiah will suffer with sinners. Isaiah 53, 12a says, I will give him the honors of one who is mighty and great because he exposed him to death. He was counted among those who were sinners. We see this prophecy fulfilled in Matthew 27, 38, Mark 15, and 27. But also we'll read Luke 23, 32 through 33.
Starting point is 00:54:51 To others, both criminals were led out to be executed with him. Finally, they came to a place called the skull. All three were crucified there. Jesus on the center cross and the two criminals on either side. Now let's move to the messiah's garments will be divided by casting lots part of the the interesting thing about his uh his clothing showed how royal he was i swear the reasons they didn't want to tear them and rip them to destroy them they decided to divide them. They weren't dividing up the other criminals, only Jesus's.
Starting point is 00:55:27 Psalm 22, 18 says, they divided my clothes among themselves and throw dice for my garments. So we find this in Matthew 27, 35 and Mark 15, 24, but we're going to read John 19, 23 to 24 that fulfill the scripture. And when the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they divided his clothes among the four of them. They also took his robe, but it was seamless woven in one piece from the top. So they said, let's not tear it, but throw dice to see who gets it. This fulfilled the scripture that says they divided my clothes among themselves and threw dice for my robe. How would someone know that?
Starting point is 00:56:12 The high priest, so if you were a Levitical high priest, what would happen is you would get a seamless robe because you're, not that royalty got it, but if you were the high priest, you were pretty, like, you're high up there. Not just anybody got to go into the holies of holies. And it was very expensive. A seamless robe was not, not just everybody got a seamless robe. And it just confirms even more that Jesus is the high priest. The Messiah's bones will not be broken. Numbers 9-12 says,
Starting point is 00:56:55 And they must not leave any of the lamb until the next morning, and they must not break any of its bones. They must follow all the normal regulations concerning the Passover. Remember, the Passover is when God released or God freed the Israelites out of Egypt. They exited out of Egypt. That's what we see in Exodus. So the prophecy in Numbers. Numbers is the fourth of the five books written by Moses, which most people don't know that Moses wrote the first five books. It is the travel history of Israel's journey in the desert.
Starting point is 00:57:36 It begins two years after leaving Egypt and ends just before the entry into Canaan. It is a 38-year record of the murmurings of the nation of Israel and the constant companionship of God. It is a record of God's ongoing work to produce repentance in his people. And chapter 9 discusses the proper observance and preparation of Passover and prophetically describes Jesus the Passover lamb. So let's look at this.
Starting point is 00:58:06 There's only one scripture here. So you guys are going to get it pretty easy right now. Okay. I can breathe. Breathe for one second. Okay. Because it's going to get fast. It's going to get fast.
Starting point is 00:58:18 I got two minutes and I'm doing pretty good. You're doing great. Yeah, we're flying. By the way, Tracyacy your eyebrows look amazing thank you tracy tracy lopes yeah she killed it knocked it out of the park thank you hate to disrupt that and there's such an important thing but look at her eyebrows thank you they look so good thank you she just got them done yesterday i did so good thank you guys that's what's like if you're a guy and you're watching this that's part of the like, if you're a guy and you're watching this,
Starting point is 00:58:45 that's part of the painful process of watching this. Yeah, it is. It's true. Dealing with the girl stuff. It is. But I looked over at you and I went, dang, girl. Yay. Them eyebrows look good.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Thank you. Thank you. So let's go back to Jesus. Let's get back to that. John 19, 31 through 37 says, the Jewish leaders didn't want the victims hanging there the next day, which was the Sabbath.
Starting point is 00:59:09 And a very special Sabbath at that because it was Passover. So they asked Pilate to hasten their deaths by ordering that their legs be broken and then their bodies could be taken down. So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the two men crucified with Jesus. But when they came to Jesus, they saw that he was dead already.
Starting point is 00:59:29 So they didn't break his legs. One of the soldiers, however, pierced a side with a spear and blood and water flowed out. This report is from an eyewitness giving an accurate account. It is presented so that you can also believe. These things happened in fulfillment of the scriptures that say not one of his bones will be broken and they will look on him whom they pierced. So even when in New Testament, and you see all these scriptures, you see when you read through the gospels, a lot of us when we're reading the Bible, which a lot of people don't
Starting point is 01:00:04 read the Bible, but I'm just saying, if you're One of the people who read the Bible, and you're Going through the four Gospels, and you're looking at it And it says, these things happened In fulfillment of the Scriptures that say Not one of his bones will be Broken, and they will look on him whom they Pierce. That right there is
Starting point is 01:00:19 Telling you, and some people don't Realize, but that right there when it Says the fulfillment of Scriptures was to let you know that they were using Old Testament prophecy scriptures to prove what they were saying. See, even in the Old Testament, the gospels are referring back. So whenever you see that, just know that it's just confirmation of a prophecy from the old testament and a lot of people never put those things together but they're if you read slowly if you read the bible slowly instead of just trying to get your chapter done in it and as fast as you possibly can but if you
Starting point is 01:00:58 actually read it and then do what it says in timothy which is to study you studied to show yourself approved, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of God or the word of truth, whichever one you want, because it's said differently in different ways. But if you actually study yourself, show yourself approved, if you actually study the Bible instead of just reading it slowly, when you start studying it,
Starting point is 01:01:29 it really will blow your mind as to everything. I mean, there's so many, it's like there's no hidden secrets, but there's so many secrets in there that once they're opened, your mind will be blown. It's like the word will come alive. And every time you understand it, your faith grows. That's what happens. That's why it says in the word, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Your faith grows the more you know the word. Then you can believe every single thing that it says for you, from the promises to the provision, to the security, to every single thing.
Starting point is 01:02:09 And then on top of that, there is nothing hidden that's in the dark that won't come to light, which is what it says. You'll know, like when something stinks and it don't look right, you'll know. Okay, what does the word of God say about these things that are to come to fruition in the future? You can use that as your barometer or whatever. You can use that to go to and say, okay, the Word says that something like this is going to happen in the future. This don't look right. I'm not going to fall for it. That's what you have to do. And it'll save you from a lot of things. 1 Corinthians 5, 7b says,
Starting point is 01:02:45 Christ, our Passover lamb has been sacrificed for us. Let's look at the Messiah will die as a sin offering. Isaiah 53, 5 through 6, 8 and 12. But he was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped and we were healed. All of us have strayed away like sheep. We have left God's paths to follow our own.
Starting point is 01:03:13 Yet the Lord laid on him the guilt and sins of us all. From prison and trial they led him away to his death. But whom among the people realized that he was dying for their sins, that he was suffering their punishment. I will give him the honors of one who is mighty and great because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among those who were sinners. He bore the sins of many and interceded for sinners. Amen.
Starting point is 01:03:43 Praise you, Lord, for that. The fulfillment of this prophecy is found in Acts 10, 43, 1 Corinthians 15, 3-4, Ephesians 1, 7, 1 Peter 2, 24, which if you're walking through anything with sickness and illness or whatever, 1 Peter 2, 24, you need that hanging up all over your house. Revelations 1, 5b. But let's look at John 1, 29. It says, the next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, look, there is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Acts 13, 38 through 39 says,
Starting point is 01:04:25 Brothers, listen, in this man, Jesus, there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is freed from all guilt and declared right with God, something the Jewish law could never do. It could never do that. That's the great thing. The law, like I've said before, the law was a good thing because it set parameters and boundaries for the Israelites. It protected them, but it could never do what Jesus did,
Starting point is 01:04:51 which gave us and the Jewish people an intimate relationship with God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. All they had was a priest and sacrificial animals that could give them forgiveness. But we have so much more than that. And because of that, there's just such an intimacy in your relationship with God that can be there if you allow that, where the law can never provide that. So the law was good. It protected the Jewish people, but it's not perfect. And that's why Jesus had to come, because that was perfection. The Messiah will see his seed. Isaiah 53, 10-11 says,
Starting point is 01:05:40 But it was the Lord's good plan to crush him and fill him with grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have a multitude of children, many heirs. He will enjoy a long life and the Lord's plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of what he has experienced, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. And because of that, we are righteous. As soon as we receive him as Lord and Savior, we are righteous. A lot of people don't realize that. I'm a sinner saved by grace. You are a sinner saved by grace, but you are the
Starting point is 01:06:16 righteousness of God by receiving him as your Lord and Savior. And you walk in that. You don't walk downtrodden with your head hanging low. You hold your head up high because you are a child of God. And that makes all the difference in the world. Know who you are and know whose you are. And that changes everything. The fulfillment of prophecy of these scriptures is Ephesians 1, 4 through 5, 21 through 23. Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family
Starting point is 01:06:53 by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. See, God longed for this. Not just, we just didn't need it, but God longed for this, okay? And this gave him great pleasure. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else in this world or in the world to come. And God has put all things under the authority of Christ. And he gave him this authority for the benefit of the church.
Starting point is 01:07:21 And the church is his body. It is filled by Christ who fills everything everywhere with his presence. Amen. Amen. Amen. The Messiah will be buried in a rich man's tomb, which we read about this on Wednesday. But Isaiah 53.9 says, He had done no wrong. He never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal.
Starting point is 01:07:44 He was put in a rich man's grave. And we see that this is true when we read Matthew 27, 57 through 60. As evening approached, Joseph, a rich man from Arimathea, who was one of Jesus' followers, went to Pilate and asked for Jesus' body. And Pilate issued an order to release it to him. Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a long linen cloth and he placed it in his own tomb which had been carved out of the rock and then he rolled a great stone across the entrance as he left and you sit there and you go again again this
Starting point is 01:08:16 is one of those things what if joseph never went and asked pilot and what if pilot would have said no right and this is where it goes to say that I say this all the time. You don't think like your boss is just a wretch. He is or she is horrible, right? They are a terrible person. They have, there is no righteousness in them. Like, obviously you want to be praying for their salvation. But God will even take the wicked, and he will make it work for the righteous.
Starting point is 01:08:53 So even when you are under somebody who is just a horrible human being, and you think there's no good in them, it doesn't matter. Because if you need something, God will make sure it happens for you. Even if they don't know it, they will do what is right for you, even when they don't realize it. The Messiah will be raised from the dead, which we see in Psalm 16, 10, for you will not leave my soul among the dead or allowms, Psalm 16 is a Psalm of David. And in this hymn, he reminds us that as we set our hearts on God and trust our lives to his care, we will find joy and security. David prophesied that the Messiah will not be abandoned in the grave and his body will not decay.
Starting point is 01:09:53 If you look at Psalm 30, which is the last one we just read, David wrote this one as well. And it was for the dedication of the temple. And in it, he prophesied that the Messiah will be raised from the grave. Now, you will find these same New Testament where the prophecy is fulfilled. You'll find this in Mark 16, 6-7, Acts 2, 27-31, 1 Corinthians 15, 7, and 20. But we're going to read Matthew 28, 5 through 7. And then the angel spoke to the woman. Don't be afraid, he said. I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He isn't here. He has been raised from the dead just as he said he would. Just as he said would happen. Come see where your body was lying. And now go quickly and tell his disciples he has Now the Messiah, is this the last one? Yep, this is, I believe this is the last one.
Starting point is 01:11:02 If not, it's pretty close. This might be the last one. If not, it's pretty close. This might be the last one. The Messiah will sit at God's right hand. This was even prophetically spoken of in Psalm 110.1. A lot of people don't even know this. A lot of people don't know any of these things were prophesied in the Old Testament. Very true. But it goes even to the lengths of where when Jesus, you know, is taken to heaven, to where he'll be, is even prophetically spoken of.
Starting point is 01:11:33 Psalm 110, 1 says, Now, David wrote this psalm. Psalm 110 was written by him, and it is a prophetic Psalm that seems to speak of a coming coronation. This royal Psalm is clearly speaks of the coming Messiah. Now, if you look at Mark 16, 19 and Hebrews 10, 12 through 13, it speaks of this. But we're going to go to Acts 2, 32 through 36. It says, This prophecy was speaking of Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. And we are all witnesses of this.
Starting point is 01:12:16 Now he sits on the throne of highest honor in heaven at God's right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us. Just as you said in here today, for David himself never ascended into heaven. Yet he said, the Lord said to my Lord, sit in honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies,
Starting point is 01:12:41 making them a footstool under your feet. So let it be clearly known by everyone in Israel that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified to be both Lord and Messiah. That is powerful. That is powerful. I hope that even though we read this a lot, read everything pretty much, I hope that it has we read this a lot, read everything pretty much, I hope that it has strengthened you in your faith.
Starting point is 01:13:09 I hope that you will dig deep into the scriptures because you see, now you see there's way more to just reading the Bible than just reading the Bible. There are so many great things in there that can take you to new places and to new heights. And I'm going to just tell you, I'm going to repeat what I said on Wednesday. Jesus fulfilled more than 300 prophecies written 450 plus years before he ever came. So before he was ever born. 450 years prior to his entering into this earth and being born, these prophecies were written about him and they would be fulfilled 450 years later.
Starting point is 01:13:51 Am I making that abundantly clear? Am I saying that so people understand? It was 400, oh, God bless you, child. Please put that up. Okay, over 300 prophecies. I just found it. And that's, is it 1 in 1017? Is that what you said?
Starting point is 01:14:05 Oh, I don't know what that is. Okay. But you can still put that up. Okay. I just found it when I Google searched. Well, yeah, because that's the, so here's the thing. 450 years prior to Jesus being born. Right.
Starting point is 01:14:20 Great prophets, great men of God wrote about him and the things that he would, how he would be born, where he would be born and how he would die and how he'd be risen from the dead. Okay. What is that? Jesus fills my 300 prophecies written 450 years before he was born. Those are Easter facts. Just like you said. Okay, that's interesting. I want that one because it shows how many zeros. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's good. Okay. That just doesn't happen.
Starting point is 01:14:51 Right. I'm going to give you the statistics. It says, mathematically, the odds of one person fulfilling that many proclamations is astounding. Jesus fulfilled each prophecy with 100% accuracy, and all were announced and historically documented more than 450 years before he ever walked the earth okay that's about as easy to understand it as possible if you don't understand that this stuff happened prior to his birth right please as predicted jesus the messiah suffered and died making atonement for the sin with his blood. Mathematically speaking, the odds of anyone fulfilling this amount of prophecy are staggering.
Starting point is 01:15:29 Mathematicians put it this way. Okay, you can put it up there because it's going to say, one person fulfilling eight prophecy is one quadrillion, which is one to the 10th and 17th power. One and quadrillion. The chances of that are insane. I mean, look at all those zeros. It's a lot.
Starting point is 01:15:55 But the world would tell you, Aristotle, Socrates, all of them, I've read about it, where they don't even have hardly any prophetic things that they ever did that came to pass, or even their writings, they'll say. They'll say that they are more accurate than the Bible itself. I know. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:15 It's insanity to me. It makes no sense. I don't get it. I don't either. Because people don't want to change their lifestyles. That, yeah, exactly. They want to live how they want to live. They want to do what they want to do,
Starting point is 01:16:29 and they want to feel no conviction about it. That's great and all until you have to die. Right. And then there's a problem. That is true. And then there's the problem. One person fulfilling 48 prophecies is one chance in 10 to the 157th power. And one person fulfilling 300 plus prophecies, as I say, is only my Jesus.
Starting point is 01:16:56 Only Jesus can do that. And I don't know. For me, I sit there and go, I'm so lucky. And I don't think, I shouldn't say so lucky because there have been people in my life, mostly I would say my parents, and then like grandparents and stuff like that, played a powerful role in making sure I serve the Lord
Starting point is 01:17:20 through their prayers, through their investment in sharing the word with me, teaching me, giving me guidance. We as parents are people like maybe you're not a parent or maybe you are a parent, but you're also discipling other people that are like I think about Tracy and Vanessa's group that they have that they've taken in some very young Christians and that they're playing a very powerful role in getting them in and making them stick with what they've decided to do. You know what I'm saying? It's very easy to walk away. Yeah. Very easy to walk away. It's very hard to stick with the true word and a lifestyle that the world is telling you you're crazy if you do it. But for me, I just think to myself, how blessed am I that I know
Starting point is 01:18:16 the truth? And how blessed am I that I have received him as my Lord and Savior. And although I haven't always lived like this, but I have for, I mean, I haven't always, even when I was saved, I took him for granted. I fit him in a little box that fit my lifestyle. I was a Christian at convenience sometimes, which is so disheartening to me because i sit there and i now that i'm so different from even i you know you're so different from when you weren't saved right you're not saved and your your lifestyle is horrible and you get saved and you're like wow i'm
Starting point is 01:19:00 a whole different person i don't even look like that guy anymore. But then you become a Christian and it's a Christian of convenience. So you fit Jesus into this little criteria of, oh, okay, well, I have a few minutes, so I'll read my Bible now. Or, oh, you know what, maybe I'll pray about that. When you should pray about not like where you go to get your lunch, okay? But you should pray about pretty like where you go to get your lunch. Okay. But you should pray about pretty much everything. You should like have conversations with the Lord. It says to pray without ceasing, things like that. We should really have a relationship with him, not an acquaintance with him. And I think most Christians, they have an acquaintance relationship with the Lord. I did for a long time. And I think to myself, man, I did such a disservice to myself. I could have,
Starting point is 01:19:55 I could be so much farther along with my walk with him. I could have such a deeper, more intimate. Well, you can catch that up, which I have, but am I where I could be? Nope, not even close. So I would just say to you, I hope that Wednesday and today really showed you your value, really showed you the importance of how far and how great of lengths that God will go for you, how selfless Jesus was in being treated so inhumanely, but he loved us that much that he was willing to go that far for us. And because of that, I hope you will, from this time on, you'll take your walk very seriously with him and give him what he deserves. Because he definitely
Starting point is 01:20:52 didn't give us what we deserve. That's for sure. So give him what he deserves. Honor him, love him, cherish him, have a deeper, more meaningful walk with him and do whatever it takes. Not like, not weirdo-ism. I'm not saying that, but do whatever it takes on a daily basis to share your faith with ones that are open to receive it. Okay. Unless he draws them in, don't bother because the word is clear. They're not going to receive him unless he draws them in, but you'll know because God will give you opportunities and it's up to you whether you take that opportunity or not, but we need to snatch as many people from the fire as we possibly can. And they need to know him the way that you know him or better. Maybe you don't know him as good as you should, but maybe they will.
Starting point is 01:21:51 Maybe they won't take it, you know, take it for granted or take advantage of what's been given to them. And they'll have a deeper walk, but let's save as many souls as we can because he died on the cross so that we would be saved. So let's help in the process of winning the lost. It says that we're to win the lost and disciple believers. That's what the word of God tells us, that that's our job. Our job is not to make six figures or do whatever he can to make six figures. Our job is not to be the most successful at the position that we hold
Starting point is 01:22:26 at the employment that we have. Our job is not to be the greatest mom or dad. Our job is not to be the best husband or wife, grandparent, whatever it is. That's not our job. Our job is to win the lost and disciple believers. That's our job. And the only way to do that is to know the word
Starting point is 01:22:45 and then get out there and talk to people. And you can say, well, it's just not easy. It is that easy. It's how far are you willing to go? Because Jesus was willing to go as far as it took. How far are you willing to go to save somebody? Right? So let's just pray. I'm not going to win the loss today because we're going to do somebody? Right? So let's just pray. I'm not going to win the loss today because we're going to do that on Sunday, but let's just pray. I want to encourage everybody, and I just want to bring it in real quick,
Starting point is 01:23:13 and then we'll close out. Heavenly Father, I just thank you. Today is a powerful day. I thank you for what you did today, so over 2,000 years ago. I thank you that my life is forever changed. Every girl in this room, her life is forever changed. We thank you.
Starting point is 01:23:28 We appreciate you. The people who are listening, I believe they feel the same as we do. Lord, I ask that these past two days that we've talked about what you did on the cross and how it is validated in the word of God. It is spoken in the Old Testament and it is proven fact. And the new Father God, let us not take it for granted. Lord, let us endear ourselves to what you have done for us. Let us grow closer to you.
Starting point is 01:23:57 Let us be inspired and challenged to be stronger Christians, but also not just stronger Christians, but to be stronger in knowing the word, walking it out daily, being vessels that share it, encourage others that when the lost, that, Father, we will lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Father, we are the answer. You said that you would leave, that you would provide a great comforter for us, and that we would do greater things on this earth than what you did.
Starting point is 01:24:31 And I can tell you, most people aren't even touching what you did when you walked on this earth. So let us be encouraged and challenged to do more than what you did and more that you prophetically said we will do when we walk on this earth. Let us look at every opportunity that comes our way daily, whether it be in our homes or outside of them. Let us be a witness to you and let us be the best little Jesuses that people can see,
Starting point is 01:25:04 a shining city on a hill. In Jesus' mighty name we pray. Amen. Thank you for tuning in. We will see you on Sunday. If you don't have a good church, which there ain't a lot out there, and I hate to say that, but they're not, tune in. Watch us on livestream.
Starting point is 01:25:18 Be a part of what we're doing at Foundation Church. But hopefully we see you on Sunday. And let me just tell you, I'm not a big fan of C&E Christians, right? C&E Christians for me is Christmas and Easter Christians, right? Not a big fan of that, but I will tell you, it is a great opportunity for you to ask somebody to church. Hopefully they will like where you come and they will want to be a part of it. So this is your chance to ask somebody to come to church on Sunday and your odds are you're gonna hear yes so after everything we've just learned this whole entire week step out take a
Starting point is 01:25:56 chance get out of your like head because a lot of people are so fearful because they've got so much anxiety about rejection. Who cares? He is worthy. Who was rejected most out of anyone and anything? He was. So if he can be rejected at the level and degree that he was, you can hear a no. I'm not coming to church with you. I think you can handle it. Your feels can handle it a little bit. So we'll see you at church on Sunday. Hopefully you bring a friend and family and some family with you. We love you. Have a good weekend. Bye. Real talk. Real talk. you
