Real Talk.
Hello, everyone.
I'm looking at the big thingy.
Sorry, I'm not looking at you directly. You know why? Because look, and I'm looking at the big thingy. Sorry. I'm not looking at you directly.
You know why?
Because look, and I'm going to tell you right now.
My sleeves.
One sleeve is longer than the other.
I'm supposed to be wearing it.
Like, look at my bra strap.
Hold on.
No, wrong way.
I hate rights and lefts.
See, look.
Look at this.
Like, I can't do it, people.
It looks great.
Okay, so you're going to see me like this, and my sleeves are going to be off.
Forget it.
I mean, they're going to be on, but they're not going to be on the right way because I can't do it.
It's driving me nuts.
Okay.
Hello.
Welcome to the Hope Hotline Podcast.
Happy Wednesday.
It's a great day.
It really is.
Today, I'm a little extra sore because our instructors
are literally killing us. But I will tell you, never felt better in all my life. Eating great,
doing great. And we owe this all to Magalas. I'm going to tell you, if you don't have something
that you're doing, and like for me, me it's been very very good for me because
I usually stick to myself a lot I'm like I I don't mind being by myself I don't mind being to myself
I mean I guess you can't really I have Heather comes over to the house but outside of her family
I see people at church but I didn't really hang out too much
with a lot of people.
This has forced my hand
to be more social.
It's actually been very, very good for me.
So what I'm going to tell you is,
let's call Magalas.
Okay.
I'm going to call Magalas.
I love that idea.
Well, let's see if Magalas will answer first.
Because I owe her a lot.
She pushed me.
Yes, she did.
Yeah. Yes, she did. She pushed me. Yes, she did. Yeah.
Yes, she did.
She pushed me out of my comfort zone.
Let's see.
Oh, boy.
Oh, boy.
Let's see what she's doing.
She better be watching the podcast.
I mean, look.
Yeah.
She's not answering.
Oh.
So close
She's gonna leave a girl hanging
Give her a chance
Wow
Leave a message
I will
Okay
Girl you're dogging the crap out of me.
I'm calling you on my podcast.
How dare you?
I'll try and call you back in a little bit.
Or call us.
Maybe not.
Or call us.
Bye.
I'm just telling you, like, if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't, like, you're going to see
something in the podcast a little bit later that it was like we have fun.
Yeah.
Like we laugh.
I'm just what I want to do is encourage you to do something that I did not want to do this at all.
I did not want to do this at all.
Oh, I turned my thingy off.
Because like I hate working out worse than life itself i think i have are you
girls are like turn turn it on for you guys are as now do um can they hear uh logan and heather now
let's hear hello hello yep i can hear heather say hello it's the same mic yeah say hello
you know seriously is she not like my child she is dear god i i kid you not when i tell you i
literally get on her it's so funny sometimes because like last week she said something she
did something and i responded to her just like i do to because her and Tommy she's way better than Tommy like but she's very literal like Tommy and I did
the same thing to her and I was like oh my gosh okay you're being so literal and I thought to
myself I'm treating her but she can't I can't help it and she can't help it.
So it's just so funny.
But,
um,
but she just said,
Heather,
you just totally sounded like Norma and Tommy to me.
Thank you very much.
Um,
I'm gonna try the Magalus one more time.
Okay.
Let's do it.
And then,
and then now if no,
then no,
then no.
Um,
but,
um,
we're going to remind more chance people and then after that i'm not gonna even i'm not gonna even address her yeah i'm not gonna even talk about her cut her out unless she calls
does anybody know who magalus is who's do you have something you can show them who magalus is yeah
show them who magalus is all right you ready yeah okay that's Magalas in the orange right
there she's the one in the orange right there she is kicking butt and taking names and so what she
did when I went and spoke at the um at the conference she I mean several times
tried to push me
big time into getting in better
shape so
that is totally out of my comfort zone
everything I had already started
taking like oh
lo and behold
girl trying to dog a girl?
Now I can hear you.
Hold on.
I don't want to put your number.
Oh, I have you as I was about to say.
I don't want to put your number out there for people to see,
but I have you, your name.
Max, what are you doing?
I am just getting ready to head out and go for a jog.
What are you doing?
You're on my podcast. So
apparently you're not watching my podcast or you know, I was trying to call you.
I'm literally out in the outdoors and I'm like spotty service.
Great. Everyone listening to the podcast. What an honor. Come on, Pastor Hope. Let's do this.
Okay. Well, here's the thing. I was trying to, what I'm trying to do is spur people on.
Like, you know how you really pushed me to get in shape?
Yes.
Like, I lost two pounds.
Then I gained a pound.
No, no.
Then I gained a pound back.
No, but listen, fat is, or muscle is heavier than fat.
That's my girl.
Okay.
That's my girl.
So when you start making gains, that's what we call it.
We don't call it getting fat.
We call it making gains.
Making gains.
Because what you're doing is you're building up muscle, and muscle is much heavier than
fat.
Okay, so this is how she talked me into, people, this is how she talked me into this rigorous
nightmare that I am loving.
You love it, though loving. You love it though.
I do love it.
So next time you see me,
because four weeks, I gave you four weeks.
I just went into my fifth week.
Okay.
Wow.
Yeah.
And how do you feel?
I've never felt better.
Sore.
Thank you.
Yeah.
And sore.
Yeah, you did tell me that.
So I want you to tell people, like, you talked me into this.
And people, like, I don't want them to necessarily, what I want you to share with them is, like, for me, working out, right?
But it might be something else for someone else, like, to step out of their comfort zone.
Like, how much fun are you having when you go?
Because me, Tracy, and Heather, now the room is full.
There is no more.
They can't even fit one more person in our workout pretty much.
I know.
Literally, the gym that I go to has thanked me so many times.
They've comped my monthly membership because of all the people that I bring.
Oh, I see.
No, it really just started with somebody asked me a really simple question.
They said, would you run 13.1 miles?
And I said, absolutely not, because I just don't feel like it.
And I'm not a runner.
And then I got home and I really felt convicted.
And I said, why am I not a runner?
Why am I limiting myself?
And so I thought to myself, well, I'm too old.
I'm not in shape.
And so all of a sudden, I started making plans in my brain.
I was like, I need to force myself to try something new.
And so basically I know that, you know, we had been discussing with Pastor Dulles about, you know, anything that, um, isn't growing is dying. And so really,
you know, I'm 38 years old and I started feeling, you know, aches in my body and,
you know, I'm eating whatever I wanted. So I was like very heavy and all this kind of stuff.
You had three babies. I had three babies and I wasn't heavy. Like, you know, I wasn't obese or whatever, but I was definitely overweight.
And I had fat in areas that I just couldn't shake off for years, years.
I had like this belly and I basically like all my family, like the genetics are that
were like super duper top heavy and our legs are really super duper skinny.
So I just thought, you know, well, this is life.
This is DNA and all that kind of stuff.
And so then I started challenging the way that I was thinking. Like, where did I, you know, why am I just settling?
And so then I started this kind of journey.
I just signed up for boot camp.
And I gave myself a month.
I said, I'm going to try this.
That's why you told me four weeks.
That's right. And,
and I started noticing higher energy. I felt really good about myself. I felt challenged.
And then I started reading all the science behind it. And that's really what drove me to go,
you know, the next step after the first month, which I never told you, Pastor Hope, is five days a week for the next month. I do five days. Yeah, you do. I started off five days. Yeah. So you're
already ahead of the, and ultimately like that's when I started seeing the gains and I started
seeing all the fat kind of like trim off of my midriff and all of the problematic like fatty
areas. And no, it's it ultimately the science behind it, if your viewers want to know, is when
you do hard things in a safe way, then you're able to do hard things in an unsafe way. What does that mean? That means if
you're constantly challenging yourself to do hard things, when the day of adversity comes,
you're already prepared. So that, you know, as soon as you start realizing that,
you know, it's almost like life emulating art, you know, it's's just you have your body you know which is a temple and you're
constantly destroying it by going to the gym that's what you're doing you're destroying your
muscles you're tearing them apart so that they can be built back up and so that's something that
where that transfers over to everyday life so whenever a situation comes up in the office where
it's like super high stress i feel like i've already committed my situation comes up in the office where it's like super high stress, I feel
like I've already committed my high stress early in the morning when I did my workout, where I
thought all I have to do is get through this workout because I feel like I'm going to die.
And then I come to the office and then that, even you're at a place in your mind where,
you know, it's not hard anymore because I've already gone through something hard in a safe place.
And so that I'm a better leader.
I feel like I'm more I have more clarity.
I have more focus.
And so there's just not an area in my life that hasn't been affected by something as nominal.
And to me, what I used to think was like totally
useless as working out and so it's really beneficial in all areas of life you know I'm
able to time manage now because I have to dedicate 45 minutes a 45 minute workout five days a week
and so that means that anything that's unimportant isn't on my list of things to do anymore.
Because my time is very precious and valuable.
And so honestly, it's just, I've just seen such a difference in my life.
People need to really, oh, I know, it's so much better.
But even if it's not working out, like, I really, really feel like I have added so much joy to my life in the past five weeks.
Like I was telling the girls when I tried to call you, but you didn't answer.
Thank you very much.
I was telling the girls, like, I've never, I've laughed, I laughed so much, you know?
Like, I'm so used to being, like, my own little thing, which I always, I'm a social person,
but I don't mind being by myself
but this has forced me to be even more social and be out there and so like I'm for me I was
just thinking yesterday I'm like man if I hadn't taken you up on this like though I would have
missed out on so much with people different people like we've witnessed to three different people at
the gym,
like invited people to, do you know what I'm saying?
You just miss those opportunities.
So I just felt like, man,
I should try and encourage people to come do something different than they
never done before.
Not maybe not working out, maybe working out.
It's not your thing,
but maybe you're,
you have an artistic ability and you're nervous about doing it sign up for that
class go do do something that and make some friends or bring a friend from church or whatever
but I'm like man I just I'm so grateful for you because I'm so grateful that I like you challenged
me because I am very competitive so that worked out well well. And now, like a bunch of us. So I love you very much for that.
I love you.
You're the best, and I'm so proud of you.
I'm so proud of you.
Everyone there, you guys are killing it.
Yeah, we're trying.
Hey, listen, we'll keep sending you pictures,
and we get to see you in August, right?
Yeah, absolutely.
All right, baby girl.
Have fun.
All right, love you guys.
Love you too, girl.
See ya.
Bye.
Bye.
I love that girl.
I know, it's good.'s so good it's great words
great words but seriously like step out of your comfort zone do something that you haven't done
I mean I know that the girls over there but my my friend Sarah's in um the podcast room today
and um like even she's like like she's add to my life, which has helped me out with my supplements.
But even that, that was introduced to me, but that was introduced to her, radically changed her body and her working out and her energy levels and things like that.
I'm not trying to sell Thrive or anything like that.
That's not the point of this.
What I'm saying is the people in this room, room like Talia has just started working out with us
and when I tell you there's no room in the workout room like our our gym literally has no room in it
like we get there and sometimes like we're like where there's no room for us some people one of
the times somebody was down the hallway working out down the hallway because there's no room so
um when we came there when we first started going there there was nobody there
hardly at all in the room and now like it's packed party it's party party party hearty dude do you
want to tell them who was on the phone if they're just joining in oh who that was on the phone oh
that was magalus griffiths um from revival today is people not knowing who that was yeah they're
just asking again i'm sorry hey show them a video really quick.
So that was Magalas.
Magalas is the one that challenged me to start getting in shape.
That's not her.
That's her trainer.
She's in the orange shorts.
I mean, leggings.
Leggings, thank you.
That's her being a beast in beast mode.
No, we do a little bit of that, but not really.
We do a lot of that right there that you're seeing in our gym.
They do what's called burn.
We do what's called what?
Tracy, what's that thing called?
Or Heather?
They call it something.
Oh, it's boot camp and chisel.
That's what we do at our gym.
But this is the closest thing to her.
Tracy found it, and then Magalas approved where we go.
Yeah.
Like she had to do her own investigative work.
Yeah, Vanessa knew the owner.
Yeah, Vanessa knew the owner, that's right.
And who's been very good to us.
Yeah.
They've been very good to us.
So I challenge you.
Like I got challenged, right?
Do something out of your comfort zone.
This world is crazy.
People like are so stressed out and so uptight because of what's going on in
the world. But listen, that doesn't touch us. We're all about like the kingdom and the kingdom
is laughter and joy and peace and comfort and none of the rest of the stuff. It ain't going to touch
us anyway. We are, you know, Psalm 91, by no means will it come to
your right and to your left, but no means will it harm you. So we don't have to worry about that
nonsense. And, um, Hey, listen, where's my, I'm missing my little thingy. What do you mean? My
logo. Oh, yeah. We're adding that right now. Yep. There you go. Cover. That's why I always check to
make sure I don't like, see, I hate that thing. Okay. So that's what I always check to make sure I don't like see I hate that thing okay so
that's what I want to challenge you guys to do next thing next big thing because I'm already
down 15 minutes or 20 excuse me but um but but here's the thing I can answer questions and I
want to answer questions but at the same time life man have fun yeah oh know, it's not all about questions. So my conference is coming up.
And Magalas is going to be speaking.
So I speak Thursday night.
Magalas speaks Friday morning.
And Adalys will be speaking Friday night.
And then Saturday is still a little up in the air.
We're figuring that out.
But, beloved, a new you.
Listen, hit the gym, hit the art studio.
What's some other good things that people can do
that maybe they never even dreamed?
Outdoor.
Yeah.
Hiking.
What?
Be pregnant.
Oh, dear God.
That is a new you.
A new you is growing inside of you.
That's true. I'm doing the opposite of everything you guys are doing. Yeah, dear God. That is a new you. A new you is growing inside of you. That's true.
I'm doing the opposite of everything you guys are doing.
Yeah, that's true.
For the first time.
Yeah, normally you're the one working out.
But do something that maybe you've always wanted to do,
but you're too nervous to do it.
And then, listen, I said I'm doing this,
and people said I'll do it with you.
If you share your idea you. You don't.
If you share your idea with somebody you don't know, somebody might say, hey, I think I'll do that with you.
Maybe they've wanted to do it, and they just didn't want to do it alone.
Right?
Weren't we voluntold?
You might have been voluntold, but I didn't probably tell anybody else.
Yeah.
You get voluntold.
Everybody else doesn't necessarily.
Yeah.
That's.
Yeah.
Everybody else has an option. When everybody, that first week when necessarily. Yeah. That's yeah. Everybody else has an option
when everybody, that first week when everybody, yeah, that's true. Um, when everybody else was
off me and Heather, we're still doing it by ourselves. The very first week we came back.
So good. That was no, yeah, that's cause she's voluntold. Um, but on the whole,
there's lots of things that people, um, can people can do that, you know, you haven't,
you can't.
Hey, listen, maybe you wanted to start a business.
You know, it's lucrative.
Yeah.
But you're nervous to do it.
Take the chance.
Be willing to fail.
Listen, I told, I gave four weeks.
I said, four weeks.
That's it.
That's all I'm giving you.
That's all I promise you is four weeks.
And then after that, I might hit the road. Yeah. Now, I'm four weeks. That's it. That's all I'm giving you. That's all I promise you is four weeks. And then after that, I might hit the road.
Now, I'm not addicted.
I'm in too much pain to be addicted just yet.
But I love it.
Yeah, me too.
I do love it.
Everybody swears you get addicted to it.
I've never gone that long for that to happen.
But we'll see.
Yeah, we'll see.
I'm not promising nothing, people.
So I think that's it. Okay it do i have any other announcements oh we did beloved no i think we're good good yeah you did
great all right once again always a cheerleader so the first question it coincides with
actually what we've been talking about so what is something that's true that nobody agrees with
you on? Okay. And that, this question seriously was so easy for me to answer because this just
recently happened. And I mean, when I say it just recently happened, it happened this week,
like two days ago, this video, was it? Yeah. Like two days ago. right? I don't remember. Okay. So I, me and another girl, Vanessa, who works out with us, she's on our worship team.
If any of you guys watch our service or go to the church, Vanessa and I went to the gym
by ourselves.
I think my daughter was with us this time.
So the owner has these protein shakes.
And so we were like, we're going to try that.
We love this protein shake
it's peanut butter chocolate peanut butter it's like I feel like I'm cheating like I'm not allowed
to even be drinking this thing it tastes so good now there are other people that do not agree me
and Vanessa though we literally are like giddy because we're like best thing ever.
We stick a banana in there.
You know, it's yummy goodness.
It really is.
So we've been asking Tracy, have you tried it?
Have you tried it?
And she's like, sends us this video.
And I'm going to share it.
Now, listen, when I tell you, listen, I always say listen, people,
even to them, like when I'm talking to them, I'm always like, listen people.
Okay, so listen people.
When you see these videos, this is us in reality.
Like, you know, people will say, I can't even believe you showed yourself looking like that.
I don't care.
That's me.
That's who I am. I'm not all about this.
What is it? Personas? What's the right word for it? No, I don't know. Maybe perception. I don't
know. My thesaurus over here. Help me. Thank you. I don't care about my image. I don't have one. I'm me. You be you. Oh, shut up.
Oh my gosh. So I had to tell the other girls, we have no images. Thank you, sir. We don't have an
image. I didn't use those words. I'm like, it's us people. Like who cares? I don't care. Like if
you have to like be act like you got it going on all the time and you've you're care. Like, if you have to, like, be, act like you got it going on all the time
and you're perfect, like, everything's always perfect,
which I'm never perfect.
But if you have to have that conjured in your mind,
God needs to get in there and fix that for you
because there's a pride issue of some sort.
It's not, it's okay to, like, when I come to church,
I look and dress my best.
I think, you know, I'm going to I'm going
into God's house plus you know it's just but if I'm at my house it's a hot mess especially if
I've worked out for the day and I still haven't showered which I think was the case this day
yeah but same and I ain't kidding this was at night by this time. Same.
Yeah.
P.U.
I stink.
Okay, so we're going to start this out because me and Vanessa think this protein shake is amazing.
Now, Tracy, here you go.
Okay, since all of these guys are so nosy, I'm going to make my thing,
and I'm going to tell you how delicious it is.
Okay, so we were dying to find out if she loved it or not. I don't remember what you said.
I know there are very specific things I was supposed to do.
You had all these rules and I was trying to remember them.
I'm going to take, you said one scoop.
So this is what we get at night.
We get this.
That's one scoop. We get this around, what, 6 o'clock at night? We get this. That's one scoop.
We get this around, what, 6 o'clock at night?
And then I have this.
From Tracy.
You said 8 ounces.
Oh, this is the long one.
Okay.
I'm going to cut back to you, and I'm going to bring up a new one.
Oh, okay.
Okay, ready?
All right.
Okay, she's going to cut back to me.
So what she's going to do is fast-forward it,
because she made it so that these were super fast-forwarded
so that nobody had to be bored but here's the thing this is what I'm talking about
about laughing and having fun I would have missed out on this stuff because I laughed all the way
until I went to bed that night watching these videos and I'm not exaggerating when I tell you
that are you ready no are you okay so keep telling them okay well you? No. I'm going to need a minute. So keep telling them. Okay.
Well, like, tell them what?
I'm supposed to stall for a minute?
At least. Dear Lord.
At least.
What?
Tell them how much you like it and why you like it.
Yeah.
Tell them about the protein.
That's boring.
About the protein?
Yeah.
Like, do you actually like it?
Okay.
Oh, gosh.
Yeah.
Like, Lord's of mercy, people.
I know.
All right, so here's the thing.
I know where it is.
What?
Okay, I think so many movies.
Hope, so many movies.
I thought you had this in the thing.
So what happened was, I'll tell everybody.
Well, you can just fast forward it.
Put that thing back on there and fast forward it.
Is mine in there?
No, it's not all the movies. See, look, it's me. Yeah, but what just fast forward it. Put that thing back on there and fast forward it. Is mine in there? No, it's not all the movies.
See, look, it's me.
Yeah, but what about ours?
Right.
So what happened was when I put the good one on, it crops really weird and we look really weird.
So I had to export it into a different thing.
It was a whole thing.
So what we can do is it will take me.
I'll go to a question.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Let's switch real quick.
I'm going to go to another question.
Because this is too funny to miss.
I'm going to go next question.
Yeah.
And then we'll come back.
Yes.
Please.
Thank you.
You're the best.
I love you so much.
I know you do.
How can you not?
Okay.
Next question.
Thank you for asking.
Hi.
I'm a new listener.
And I had a question on what is the best study Bible.
You mentioned a lot of them, but I was wondering what translation and what study Bible you recommend.
I'm going to tell you right now, I only recommend three Bibles.
Well, I recommend more than three. But there's three if you're kind of like a seasoned Christian
that I would say absolutely positively buy them.
I mean, they're expensive, but they are worth every daggum dime that you can spend.
And for me, like people spend like on DirecTV package deals and stuff like that.
They'll spend like over $100 a month on, what is it, a monthly?
Subscription.
Is it a subscription to DirecTV?
Yeah.
It's a subscription?
So, or like they'll do Hulu.
I mean, by the time it's all said and done, I think it's now.
DirecTV is not owned.
It's owned by, it starts with an A.
It's actually a phone company.
AT&T?
AT&T now owns them.
So people like with their cell phones, with TV, any kind of entertainment,
they'll spend hundreds of dollars for entertainment. And my thing is, is drop that
entertainment because that entertainment's like, if you can't afford both, go with the word by far
because otherwise it's a waste. I'm telling you right now, hands down, umaro numero number one.
Why are you guys laughing?
Because you said it wrong.
Oh, yeah.
Umaro numero one.
I'm like, what are they laughing at?
That's a word.
That's real.
It is now.
So this Bible has, and it's really really too has been life-changing for me radically
like i don't think there's been been any other bible that has radically changed my spiritual
growth than this outside of listening to obviously teachings and things like that. I mean, that stuff has brought the word.
I've memorized scripture based on teachings
that I've listened to thousands of hours
on certain teachers and stuff like that.
Which, if you listen to enough teachings,
they'll repeat a lot of the same,
the teachers will teach very much the same thing, but implement it in different ways.
And they'll use a lot of the same scriptures, which will help you memorize scripture.
But I'm telling you, hands down, you want to get a Bible that will radically change you and your growth?
It's the Perry Stone Bibles.
The problem is the study part is off the charts can't touch it nothing can touch
it that i've ever read no other bible and lots of people i mean heather you've had i've had lots of
bibles you have the perry stone am i wrong about that or no i absolutely agree with you yeah like
there's nothing that can even all the extras that he's added in are very helpful. And it took him like 25 years or more to make this Bible.
I remember him saying it was insane when he put this.
And he only has a certain number.
And when he runs out of those Bibles, he says, I ain't printing anymore.
So they're not cheap.
I think Heather, I mean, Tracy's looked it up. I think the whole entire New Testament and Old Testament is like 350 bucks or something like that.
It's right around there, which I think is very reasonable.
But some people are like, that's a lot of money for a Bible.
I get it because you can go down to stinking, what is it?
Books a Million, Barnes & Noble, whatever? You can buy a Bible for a good Bible with a leather cover for about $120.
I get it.
But it's not the same.
Quality.
Quality.
$225 now.
It's $225 for both.
Is that both?
Old and new.
Grab it.
Grab it. Because he literally said if you want a really good bible people if i'm just telling you he said when those are gone those are gone he ain't making
anymore and uh so if you want a good but here's the problem people have a tough time reading king
james so if you're if you have difficulty in reading the King James,
which I totally totally get that's why my next Bible that I would say is very very good Thompson
Chain. Excellent Bible. It's New King James. Okay you can get a really good Thompson Chain New King James Version with a study on the bottom. Phenomenal. Really good.
And then I'll help you. You know, a lot of times, another really good idea is a lot of people have,
like when they first got saved, they have a Bible that was an easy read, whether it's like the message, NIV, things like that, or an amplified,
they'll use that and then they'll like, they'll have their easy read out with their Perry Stone.
And so you can do both. But I usually have, I have like, a lot of times I have like three to
four Bibles out when I'm doing mine, because I actually will look up different things in different ones.
The last Bible that I will tell you that is a must, it's a must.
You have to have it, is Rodney, the Rivers, what's that one called though?
It's the Stewardship Bible.
I didn't bring mine with me.
I had it in my bag.
It's Rodney Howard Brown's Bible.
It's his stewardship.
But if you go to the River Church, and if you go to their...
Oh, you got it.
God bless.
It's called the Revival Ministries International.
This one right here.
Oh, listen, I'm just telling you the quality.
Yeah.
Perry Stone can't touch this quality.
Thompson Chain can't touch this quality.
I don't know.
I think it's like goat skin leather or something like that.
The pages are like, it is so top of the line, well made.
It's a beautiful beautiful bible and um but it's an amp he has
king james and then he has an amplified and it's all on stewardship so if if you um
you you just don't know like all the promises that god has for you as far as that goes and it's
it'll radically radically change your life to understand what the
word says about every promise that is made for you and i'm not just talking about financial
he talks about health and wealth and um um and um what's another one that i just recently when
i was looking at my amplified he had one in there that had nothing to do with financial
it had nothing to do with healing. It had nothing to do with healing. It's one that Tom was talking about on Sunday, and he actually had this
one highlighted in this Bible. I was like, oh my gosh, I can't even, it was a promise that God
provides to you. I think it was safety or something like that. I can't remember what it is,
but even those he has highlighted.
It's just amazing.
So it's beyond what you could think.
But those three.
And then, listen, if you're a newbie and you are intimidated by the Bible,
try and get one that's made before 1984 and older.
Because after that, they went woke. They've revised the niv and it's very woke it's trans it's a non-gender so um but go to the niv it's it isn't perfect by no
means it does leave out some verses and it does change a couple verses too when it comes to faith
and things like that but overall isn't it far better to read the word than not to read the word
because you're intimidated by what you're reading?
Just go to find a good NIV.
Zondervan is excellent because it's not Calvinist.
It's not Armenian.
It's not anything.
It's just this is what it says.
This is what it means, period.
There's no agenda at all in the Zondervan Bible, NIV.
Are we ready to go?
You know it.
Oh, my goodness gracious alive.
Okay.
Listen, you're fired, and in two minutes I will rehire you.
Well, I can't play until you rehire me.
Okay, you're rehired. Okay. Because minutes, I will rehire you. Okay. Well, I can't play until you rehire me. Okay, you're rehired.
Okay.
Because I've got to have this video.
Okay.
So, we have this group text.
Okay, since all of you guys are so nosy.
This is what she sends us.
I'm going to make my thing, and I'm going to tell you how delicious it is.
Or not.
So, she makes the shake.
This is the fast version.
To my music.
She has no lid, so she has to put a paper plate on the top.
And I don't think you mixed it long enough, just so you know.
And who drinks something with a spoon?
This girl.
I can do that three times. Boom. This girl.
I did do that three times. Cat food.
Six out of 10?
No. Six out of 10?
No.
Is that the same mixer that you make the cat food in?
Yeah.
Okay, so I,
Heather comes over to my house,
and I make her a shake like 45 minutes later
because I'm gonna prove that Tracy's wrong and then I dump it and I'm sad and
I realize I don't need to be sad I have time. I could buy me another bag.
And then Tom's over on the other side watching Star Trek. And, like, I couldn't really blend it properly because I was disturbing Star Trek.
Okay, so I have to get ice to make it cold.
But I have to take the whole container out.
Otherwise, it's going to be really loud.
And there she goes.
The reveal.
Let me taste it. Let me taste it.
Let me taste it.
Hold on.
She doesn't approve.
It needs to be churned up a little bit more.
Hold on.
So it needed a little bit more mixing.
The fridge is still open.
I left my freezer open.
I don't know why.
All right. Number two.
Better?
Okay.
That was good.
I was literally crying.
Can you see the tears in my eyes? So this is Tracy laughing at me because we sent her the video.
I'll do it. I'll keep working.
When Heather said, is it time to make the cat food?
Time to make the cat food.
And you said yes.
No.
Oh, yeah.
I made my cat food with that.
Thank you.
I made my cat food with my bullet.
Okay.
There's reasons, friends and loved ones.
We're not answering a lot of questions today but I'm just telling you
okay see I was crying I literally so Vanessa is audio texting so you can't hear any of these
things she's audio texting she didn't send any videos but the whole night it's back and forth
Heather's not laughing because Heather's very literal and she's no fun me Tracy and Vanessa
though we're laughing hysterically I think even my daughter was laughing a little bit.
She was. She was. So the deal is, is my cat's missing teeth, like a lot of them. Yeah, most
of them. She went from being a real fat cat. She's kind of skinny. Okay. So I realized, girl got no teeth.
So she's been trying to eat hard food, and she won't do that.
She won't eat the soft.
Okay.
So Mama makes her cat food.
Oh, my gosh.
I grind it up in my...
See, and the mistake I made is I used my bullet one time when Heather was over at the house.
Yep.
Or did I grind it up while you were there?
You just told me.
I just told you that I grinded it up.
Like last week, so I remembered.
Of course you did.
Of course she did.
Thank God.
Because that was the funniest way to start that.
I laughed so hard because of that started it.
And then there was no end in sight.
I could not stop laughing.
And then Jer and our friend Duard walked in, in and they were like what is wrong with her i was like couldn't breathe laughing
yeah i do the whole thing was funny yeah to me no we gave you the short version so some of it you
didn't get to see how funny it is but i'm just telling you get a group of friends you don't have
to like like all of us like like we have like logan wasn't a part of that. You don't have to, like, all of us, like, we have, like, Logan wasn't a part of that.
Sarah wasn't a part of it.
But all of us still, like, we all still see each other.
They all go to you guys' Bible studies, right?
Yep.
Logan and Sarah go to, you guys have a great time.
Yeah.
We do.
Right?
Get a group of people.
And I'm not a part of that.
I'm too good.
No, I'm just kidding.
Oh, my gosh. No, I'm just kidding. Oh, my gosh.
No, I might take over.
I ain't coming.
That's true.
Because you know how I am.
I do.
I'll stay home.
But get a group of people together that you have a great time with and laugh.
I'm just telling you, the world is way too serious right now.
It's like disheartening to a certain extent.
Yeah.
And there's too much there's too much
good things and too many great people out there that just just laugh I mean we laugh I mean I
laugh a lot anyway my household yeah it's pretty dang funny so we are laughing a lot. Right. But if you're like down here and it's just you and your husband,
then find some like-minded people and start getting some commonalities
and start cultivating.
And like sometimes like you're not going to maybe be overnight
because Heather and I have been together for, I don't know,
like since she was in high school.
That doesn't happen overnight.
But I haven't known, Tracy, I've known you how many years now?
Like three.
We're going on to four.
Yeah.
Okay.
So Vanessa, I've known probably eight to ten.
So I'm just saying, it might not happen overnight, but listen, you don't need to know somebody
for umpteen years to have a really great time.
True.
True.
So, I'm just saying.
Yeah.
Start laughing and having fun.
Because really, life's way too short.
And challenge yourself.
It'd be a good thing.
Yep.
A great thing.
I got 18, I got 20 minutes, right?
18, 22, 21, 20.
I can, I got, I got, I got, I got some questions left in me.
All right. Let's do do this hot diggity
so i hope you had fun watching us like because we don't look good heather looked the best yes
agree yeah 100 heather looked the best heather needs no makeup whatsoever she's so naturally
then you're the next and then lord z but i don't care. Makes me no difference. Okay. So next question. Can you please explain
the difference between conviction and condemnation? I love this question. You know why I love this
question? Because so many people leave churches or get offended and mad because somebody tells
them the truth and they say they're condemned're condemned they're being condemned they don't obviously know what the definition of condemned means so it's really easy to use
that as a crutch or victimhood you know I just love the I mean I cannot tell you how many times
people have said I feel I felt condemned by that and it's like you can't feel condemned by that it's
not possible because condemned means to be rendered useless when you go into when a car's been in an
accident or a house has been destroyed by flood fire whatever what is that? It's condemned. Hold on. Heather's sending me an email.
I turned it on in case McGall's called.
So when something's condemned, it's like a house.
Can you live in a condemned house?
No.
It's rendered useless, and it needs to be torn down. Most people, when they go into churches today, are never told that they are rendered useless.
Most churches are not even preaching the true word of God.
So everything that they should be told to convict them and to change, it's not happening.
They're applauded and patted on the back and told,
keep doing what you're doing and you'll figure it out.
And God still loves you and come as you are.
And he loves you.
You don't need to change or change can happen through a process.
And like so many different things that are made up that are not in the word of God at all,
just so they can keep warm
bodies in the building and the coffers full. But here's the thing that in some cases,
that's not helping that person because if they don't change and sin isn't eradicated out of
their life, and when somebody is told that they're sinning, that doesn't mean they're being condemned. That means they're being convicted by the Holy Spirit, even if a person is the one telling them that they're sinning.
And I think a lot of people, like, they feel guilty.
You know, it's like it's wrong for a person to feel guilty today.
No. for a person to feel guilty today. No, being guilty, feeling guilty about something,
you should feel guilty about doing things that are wrong,
that you shouldn't do.
But what everybody wants is everything to be permissible
and without any consequence, without any responsibility.
And so they render it under being condemned
or feeling condemnation.
Okay, that's wrong word, wrong terminology,
a misuse of a word as far as vocabulary goes.
So if you feel that somebody is tearing you down,
then maybe you need to examine whether or not that's true conviction
or you're feeling guilty about what you're doing.
And the reason you're feeling like that is so that you can keep doing it
and not have to have any ramifications for that emotion, right?
Let's look at John 16, 8, and it says, and here's the thing.
Let me just tell you.
When you feel conviction, that's from the Holy Spirit, like I said.
And Jesus did a great thing for us.
When he died on that cross, he broke the law.
So we no longer live under the law of the Old Testament.
We live under the New new testament which is a
word that's very misused which is grace we now live under the grace that jesus provided on that
cross grace is not a freedom to sin which is what's being taught in the modern day church a
lot of times you can sin and still go to heaven. That's not what the Bible says.
It clearly says, if you live like this, you will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.
So living like something and struggling with sin are two different things.
The Holy Spirit is what brings that conviction.
Okay, because Jesus, when he died on the cross,
the Holy Spirit now dwells with us.
And it says in John 16, 8 says,
and when he has come, meaning the Holy Spirit,
he will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment.
So if someone in church, say the pastor is preaching that fornication is a sin and you're
having sex with your boyfriend or your girlfriend, if you're a girl and you're having sex with
your boyfriend and you're feeling convicted, but you'd rather say you're condemned, you
need to really be honest with yourself. No one's condemning you.
They're telling you the truth that fornication is a sin. And if you do continue with fornication,
you're not going to go to heaven. That's not condemning you. That's not rendering you useless.
Okay. No one has said that you're a useless individual. What they're saying is, is you're
sinning. If you live in that sin and you
were to die in that sin, you'll not go to heaven. So the Holy Spirit has prompted that pastor or
whomever is bringing correction into your life. They're bringing that correction so that the Holy
Spirit can convict you. Don't confuse conviction with condemnation or guilt because the
scripture is clear there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ
if you are a believer you cannot be condemned it's not possible it's
conviction from the Holy Spirit you have a communication with the Holy Spirit so
he's the one convicting you of what
you're doing and that it's wrong um let me see so remember old testament like um the old testament
had lots of rules and regulations the little and the little vitical part of the the book of
leviticus is all the rules and regulations and And so many people don't like reading Leviticus because they're like,
it's a lot of repetitive rules and regulations.
And if you do this, then this is how many animals you're supposed to kill
and sacrifices.
And they're like, it's like so repetitive and it's so ridiculous.
It's really not.
The reason they had to do that that the reason why Moses had to put
those out there God God giving the direction is because the Holy Spirit wasn't present in the
Old Testament so they had to have all these rules and regulations to save them from themselves
so they understood when they did something wrong that it it was in writing, because the Holy Spirit wasn't there to say,
you shouldn't be doing that,
when they felt an angst inside of them to not do something.
There was no conviction.
There was only a bunch of rules and regulations.
That's why the Old Testament is so inferior to the New Testament.
Without the Holy Spirit, I cannot imagine,
I cannot imagine walking through this life without the Holy Spirit. I cannot imagine. I cannot imagine walking through this
life without the Holy Spirit and his conviction and his presence and all that he brings. And they
were void of that in the Old Testament. Does that make sense? Oh, yeah. Like it's crazy. Like I could
not walk this world without the Holy Spirit. And so many people ignore him or take him for granted.
But think about it. Think about the people of the Old Testament and what their lives,
like literally they had to memorize these rules. And then they had, if they broke a rule,
then they had to go and make a sacrifice and do whatever else the rule. God really saved them from
themselves by giving them all those rules and laws so that
they could go to heaven and dwell with him. Whereas us, whole different world through what
Jesus did on that cross. I mean, like there's so much freedom and what was purchased on that cross
for each and every single one of us. I think we forget about that. I don't think people ever think
of, I think they think the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was always present.
He's the Trinity.
But he didn't have the freedom to do what he does for us after Jesus died on the cross.
Old Testament, there was no freedom to dwell and walk like he did, like it does in the new testament yeah john and john it clearly john um
john 6 8 i wanted to say 18 john 16 8 clearly says that and when he has come so that means
he wasn't present he had to come he will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of
judgment so he is our saving grace thank Thank you, Lord, for that.
I got eight minutes. Yes, you do. I'm going to do one really quick question and then I'm going to
move to my last question because it's very interesting. Okay. So out of the four seasons, what's your favorite one?
For me, my favorite season out of all four is fall.
I absolutely, positively love fall.
Now, you might be thinking, how in the heck do you love fall?
You live in Florida.
You don't even experience it.
That is true.
I don't experience it, but I have.
And I loved it.
I love, love love love fall I mean if I could every year I would go every year you can put you on if you want I would go every year if I could in the fall
to see the to see the leaves changing to experience experience the cooler weather. I love that crisp air.
I love putting on a sweatshirt.
I like bonfires.
Until football went woke, I loved watching football,
even going to a football game outside, like a high school football game.
Smelling that fresh fall smell. Like seriously, there's nothing like it. No,
absolutely. Positively. Nothing like fall. As far as I'm concerned, it's my favorite
hands down season. Tracy, what's yours? Well, since moving to Florida, it is now fall,
but growing up, I hated the fall. You hated the fall? Because
school was coming. Oh yeah, that's right. And I hated school. I didn't care about that
then. And I love the summer, hence why I live in Florida now and visit the fall. Yeah. And
yeah. You know, so. I didn't love the summer. It was too hot. Even, I lived in DC, so that
was like super hot. It wasn't like being where you're
at like the summer where you're at is perfect gorgeous and perfect weather i hated the only
thing i did hate about fall was raking leaves okay i did hate raking but i didn't care yeah i mean
eventually you have to start raking leaves but when you're younger you're jumping in the leaves
that your parents are doing that part i loved until I had to rake the leaves. That is fun.
But, Logan?
I feel like my answer has changed now, too, since living in Florida.
Because it used to be summer.
And I always have a love for summer.
But, yeah, maybe it is fall now.
Yeah.
There's something about going up to, like, the pumpkin patches.
Oh, I love it.
Sipping on, like, pumpkin spice lattes.
Oh, yeah. That's true that's just the white girl in me
i need a good ug and a latte oh yeah 100 miss that heather you're a florida girl you're like me
although you you never lived up north well you did that's not true because travis being in the
military but i'm just saying as a
young girl like you lived here all your life i loved summer we were always at the beach always
oh yeah you lived like on boca grande though come on hello but now fall wow you know it's so funny
but we turn the air conditioner on to light the fireplace yes really low when it doesn't
get cool enough yeah oh yeah well yeah well tom won't let me but i have i have done it so every
evening that it's like to 60 degrees we're lighting a fire yeah same here same here same here
yep we we all three of us have fireplaces in our houses. Do you have, Logan? No, I do not. Sarah, do you have a fireplace in your house?
No.
People think we're weird because we have fireplaces.
I've posted stuff on Tom's page, and people are like, you're in Florida.
Why do you have a fireplace?
Because we're allowed.
And back in the day, my house is newer, so it doesn't count,
but back in the day, the older houses did have fireplaces because like window units we didn't have like back in my day like i didn't grow up with air
condition i didn't have ac until i was 10 we did not have air condition like we all the windows
were really big they had slats in them like you had to have big big huge windows because that was
your airflow that's up north
right now massachusetts that's what we do we put the window units in all the windows yeah because
there's no central air yeah central heat no central air yeah there's no point right and at
night you barely need it because it's ridiculous all right i got four minutes let's roll i'm gonna
go to my next one sarah what's your favorite i like the fall fall too wow we're gonna take a girl's trip
100 i'm in okay you in now yeah pal all right
yeah she won't tell you loves to travel yes she does
talia nearly started crying
when she got on the plane to go to PA
true
she loves to travel
are horoscopes real?
I used to read them every day
and sometimes they were accurate
heck to the no
horoscopes are not real
at all
astrology
astrology is really what people forget is jesus or jesus well he
actually did because it says that jesus was present in the very beginning and the word
was spoken so let's just say let's go back though think about this god made the sun moon and stars
why and the heck would he make the sun moon
stars be for fortune-telling for the devil good word why in the world because satan is a counterfeit
and so the devil likes to like listen fortune telling is full of warning against that kind of stuff.
We talked about it.
Was it last week?
Was it Fridays or Wednesdays?
Podcasts.
I want to say it was Fridays.
Podcasts.
I think it was Friday.
Warning against, not astrology, warning against sorcery, witchcraft.
Mediums. Mediums. Thank you. you spiritists things like that so your fortune telling is the same a horoscope is the same it doesn't make any difference Deuteronomy 419 says and when you look
up to the sky and see the sun the moon and the stars all the heavenly array do not be enticed
into bowing down to them and worshiping things the Lord your God has a point apportioned to all So God knew.
God knows how the devil works.
Isaiah 47, 13-14 says, So, surely they follow fortune telling.
And otherwise, that is the demise.
It's not good.
So the person doing the fortune telling, it says, surely they are like stubble.
The fire will burn them up.
They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame. Stay away from it. It's not worth it.
God created the solar system. Satan loves to steal whatever God does because he can't think of a good
thing or a good idea for himself. So let's look at what the Bible says about astrology.
As far as what, when we look as believers, what we should look at when we look at the sun, moon, and stars,
as far as astrology, you know, the wise men used the stars to find Jesus.
It's a positive thing.
It's not to be used in the negative.
But you can go either way.
So as a believer, let's look at what it says.
The coming of the Son of Man.
It'll be seen in the sun, the moon, and the stars.
It says, and there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars,
and on the earth, distress of nations with perplexity,
the sun and the waves roaring, men's hearts failing them from fear
and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth.
The power for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Then they will see the son of man coming in a cloud with the power and great glory.
Now, when these things begin to happen, look, look and lift up your heads because your redemption draws near.
So you're going to know and it isn't going to be because of global warming.
OK, global warming. It's not going to know, and it isn't going to be because of global warming. Okay. Global warming.
It's not going to happen.
But I'm going to tell you, listen, if you want to understand what's going on in the
sun, moon, and stars, because it's biblical.
If you want to understand what's going on there, there's this excellent, excellent book
and it will break it down for you so you actually see
what god did and what he created perry stone has a really good teaching on this um but this book
easy read so good so good so good i tell people about it as much as i possibly can i don't even
know this man but he has two really good books. One is Understanding Jesus, which is understanding the Jewish faith
and understanding who Jesus was as a Jewish man.
Phenomenal book.
And then he has this other book called, you can pop it up, Story in the Stars.
Story in the Stars.
See what everybody, and you can leave it there for a second,
so people can maybe take a picture of it or whatever. Here's the stars. See what everybody, and you can leave it there for a second. So people can maybe take a picture of it or whatever.
Here's the thing.
God created astrology.
God created the sun, moon, and stars.
And when he created them, he designed specific things in our solar system that we don't even know about.
Because we pay attention to NASA. We pay attention to the
evil that tries to understand what is going on up there. But if you break it down on a biblical
level, your mind will be blown. And I'm just telling you, I read this book and after it was
done, it's crazy and it's biblical. It's 100 so I suggest you get this book read it I think
we have a couple here at the church Heather do we have a couple here at the church so here's the
thing if you're watching the podcast and you can't afford to buy one come and see Heather
you mind Heather you don't care go uh go see on Sunday. And if we don't have enough, then we'll help
somebody out. Because we might not have, like, we probably have two maybe sitting around here.
But if you can't afford to get one, we don't mind helping you out. I mean, that's what the church is
all about. But make sure you read it. Because don't take a book and then not read it. I don't like that.
So read it.
It'll change your whole thought process on what's going on up there. You'll never, ever, ever care about a horoscope ever again.
So I think that's it.
I had another question I was going to close with, but I ain't closing with that one.
Yeah.
Because I ain't got time.
So, last but not least, well, I had on how many I skipped?
I think I have like three.
Yeah.
So, sorry if you were watching and you saw a question on there
that I'm not hitting today.
I'll take care of it on Friday.
Come back.
Oopsie Daisy.
Yep.
Sorry.
Who said Oopsie Daisy?
Wasn't that Chris Farley?
Oopsie Daisy.
Oopsie Daisy, yeah.
Wasn't it Chris Farley?
Huh?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I did like Chris Farley.
He was funny.
I hope he got saved before he died.
Me too.
It's not looking good. Yeah. He was funny. I wish, I hope he got saved before he died. Me too. It's not looking good.
Yeah.
Logan over there.
No, no, no.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You never know.
You never know.
Man's less breath, but it's not looking good.
So, if you don't know Jesus, and the, you know, we're going to go into the salvation thing.
Yeah. You don't want to be like Chris, you know, we're going to go into the salvation thing.
Yeah.
You don't want to be like Chris Farley.
Yeah, there you go.
That's a good segue, as Sarah.
Sarah just goes, that's a good segue.
You don't want to be like Chris Farley.
Seriously, you never know the day or hour.
If you are not saved, you are not promised tomorrow.
As a believer, though, you are promised tomorrow.
People will say, that's not true. I, yeah, it is 100% because you have a hedge of protection around you that if you stand on it,
people don't, people don't believe things because they don't believe, they don't know their promises. You know why they don't know their promises? Because they don't read their Bible.
And then they'll tell you that you're wrong when they don't know their Bible. So how could you be wrong?
I read my Bible.
I know what my promises are.
I stand on my promises.
And I'm not wavering on them.
I don't even waver on them if I fail or if I see somebody else fail.
The word never fails.
Only me.
So which only makes me like counteract it with like going after it even more
and increasing my faith and believing. But I'm just telling you, if you're not saved,
you're not promised tomorrow and you don't want to walk around like that. So if you've walked
away from the Lord or if you never received him as your Lord and Savior, today's your day.
Say this prayer with me right now. Heavenly Father, I come to you right now.
I thank you for what you did on the cross.
I thank you for dying for my sins.
Lord, I ask you to forgive me of my sins
and I receive what was done on the cross.
I thank you.
I will live for you.
You will be the Lord of my life from this moment on.
And when I grow old, when I grow really old,
I will go and live with you forever.
In Jesus' name, amen.
That's it.
Eternity is yours.
You're heaven bound.
Now what you got to do is get into a very strong Bible-based church.
If you don't have one, tune into Foundation Church. We got just the right place for you.
You'll receive a good, strong biblical teaching. It'll make you a strong disciple for the Lord.
Then you'll go out when the lost and make disciples for yourself, which is what the
word tells us to do. So let us know if you've said that prayer. We want to stand with you.
We love you.
And I thank you for joining in.
Come and see me on Friday at three.
Bye. Real Talk you you
