Starting point is 00:00:00 Real Talk Boots and cats and boots and cats and boots and cats Right? I don't know That's what that song is. Somebody, if it's my son calling me. No? No? It's my exterminator calling me, so hold on. Let me get back
Starting point is 00:00:34 to my page. I was doing boots and cats because that's what that sounded like to me. The opener? Boots and cats and boots and cats and boots and cats. Alright, that's just about as far as the hip hop, beatboxing, rapping as this white chick goes. Put yourselves on. Okay, as you can see, the peanut gallery has grown exponentially overnight.
Starting point is 00:01:02 Oh, my gosh. Okay, so we got our normals. Tracy my gosh. Okay, so we got our normals. Tracy? Yep. Then you got Logan, who's about to pop any day now. Then you got Vanny on the block. Vanessa? Oh, that's because this morning
Starting point is 00:01:17 we went through it together. Right? Yeah, we did. Then behind Vanny is Sarah. You know Sarah. Sarah filled in. She won some of you to the Lord that weren't saved a couple days, or last week. And then
Starting point is 00:01:34 Amaryllis. That's right, girl. She's the one that gets saved at the end of the podcast today. Just so you know. Oh my God. She's Vanessa's friend.
Starting point is 00:01:51 You're Brooklyn, right girl? Yeah. From Brooklyn. As soon as she starts talking, we're done for. That's all I can say. The Brooklyn is somewhat out of you, Vanessa. Yeah, a little bit. It's ingrained in your friend like whatever you lost she took on handsome well she lives in
Starting point is 00:02:14 connecticut still so she's kind of in it what's going on girl she needs to move my heart is here i know your heart is here but like brooklyn is is ingrained in you how long did you live in brooklyn and you might have to talk really loud unless logan twists that little microphone i was born and raised i left brooklyn at 16 the age of 16 yes and i am 37 uh-huh we are we hey so we're all transparent with our ages. Because here's the thing. We all look daggum good for how old we are. For 26.
Starting point is 00:02:51 We're 26. Some people are still. Tracy's mother just had her birthday. Yeah. Yeah. She's 24. She's 20. No, you said 20.
Starting point is 00:03:02 You didn't say 24. You said she's 26. No, no. That's me. And you said you're 27. No. You didn't say 24. You said she's 26. No, no. That's me. And you said you're 27. No. How that is mathematically possible. Wrong. My grandma, who's in heaven, my Omi, she was 23, but she's in heaven, so she probably is.
Starting point is 00:03:14 And then my mom was 24, and then I am 26. Times. Do you understand that, Amaryllis? How is that possible? It's not. Mathematically, how can you be older than your own mother? Her mother's 24. She's saying she's 26.
Starting point is 00:03:31 I live in my own little reality. This is the matrix. Listen, some of your conspiracy theories that your family believes in, I truly agree. You do not live in the realm of reality. No, I know. That's booyah. Girl math.
Starting point is 00:03:46 100%. That is true. So we're lucky she hopped a little hopper down here. Every now and then we get to see the girl. Yeah. We do, and I'm excited about that. Are you here for Sunday? I'm here for my membership card.
Starting point is 00:04:01 You're here for Sunday's membership card. After we get her saved at the end of the podcast, she will become a full-fledged member of Foundation Church. Oh, my gosh. Like, every time I talk to her, I'm like, that is the old me, 100%, without the accent. I did have one. It just didn't sound like that.
Starting point is 00:04:22 I mean, we can reignite that. Oh, dear. No. We don't want to go there. Let's pull you up instead of pulling me down. Good plan. Good plan. Huh?
Starting point is 00:04:33 The accent. Yeah. Uh-huh. Yeah, 100%. I kid you not, though. Sometimes when you're talking, I'm like, that takes me back. Oh. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Mm-hmm. Yeah, it does. I'm not saying that necessarily in a bad way. I'm just saying you got the city spice. We all like Tracy, city spice. She was Boston, right? DC, you both are New Yorkers. And then we got Sarah, straight from the hood of Inglewood, Florida.
Starting point is 00:05:04 She's spicy. Where are you from, girl? Yeah, yeah, region. I've been in Englewood since I was nine, but before that, Boston area. Oh, that makes sense. That's why you got a little bit of, mm-mm. Now, Logan is from New York, so that's, yeah. She's why you got a little bit of, mm-mm. Now, Logan is from New York.
Starting point is 00:05:27 So that's, yeah. She's from New York. She's from New York. So all of us, I was born in Sarasota. But my very, what is it called? Your stomping grounds? Yeah. Well, now I grew up, well, actually Polk County.
Starting point is 00:05:47 I was born in Sarasota, but Polk County is where I grew up until I was 10. But my years of being influenced heavily were spent in D.C. Your formative years. My formative years, thank you very much. My little grammatical thesaurus, vocabulary, dictionary. Sarah. Yeah, my formative years, absolutely. That's why I needed to get saved again. All over again.
Starting point is 00:06:15 This girl needs some help. Okay, so you want to usher us into our, is it working? Rumble, we're having problems with Rumble, people. I am stalling, but I'm not stalling because we're trying to figure out Rumble right now. What's up? I don't know. We had eight people watching, and then it's going down a little bit, and then it went up, and then it's down a little bit. So people are there, but it's not showing up as live. It's not like we normally have, though, right?
Starting point is 00:06:38 Yeah, all of us were able to see live on our thing, and it's not showing up as live. Isn't that interesting? Yeah. Erin? I know. I text Erin to see if on our thing and it's not showing up as live. Isn't that interesting? Yeah. Aaron! I know, I text Aaron to see if he has any. But I can see on our streamer if it was red or orange, that means it's not working. It's green, it's working.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Everything's working. That's interesting. Yeah, I don't know what's going on, Rumble. As Sarah would say, hashtag replay. Yeah, so we will have a good replay. For some of you that are missing it on Rumble. As Sarah would say, hashtag replay. Yeah. So we will have a good replay. For some of you that are missing it on Rumble. Because Rumble, we have really good numbers on it.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Great numbers. Because it's usually our best. But that's okay. I know. I know. We're going to talk about Mother Mary this morning. Or this afternoon. So some people might not like that anyway.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Okay. The Holy Mother of Mary. Okay. That might be our replay. What is that? That'll be our replay video. That might be our replay. What is that? That'll be our replay video. That might be a replay video that people will get really mad over. A little conflict. If you're Catholic. Okay. Yikes. Yikers is correct. So that's not my fault. I didn't ask the question. I just have to answer it. Spiritually speaking, biblically speaking. So you want to just do our little thing and then maybe Rumble will be back up by then. Otherwise, it's just the few of
Starting point is 00:07:52 us. Yeah, just hanging out together. Exactly. All right. Well, since we need your extra help today, if you are on Facebook, we need you to like, share and comment. And if you're watching the replay, feel free to like, share, comment, do all the things. When you're on Rumble, you got the opportunity to share the link, but mostly you're just liking. If you are in the live chat, just FYI, if you're in the live chat, you start having conversations in there, it's going to disappear. So if you're going back later to kind of look at the live chat, it won't be there once this
Starting point is 00:08:22 video ends because it is specifically for a live chat. So if you want to add a comment in there or a question, if you add it in the comments, we will get an email and we will see it. If you have a question in the live chat, it does disappear. So that's just a little little tidbit for you. On YouTube, they have the opportunity to subscribe, which is great because if you have a Gmail, they will eventually send you a nice little reminder that we are live and then you won't forget. You don't have to put your little alarm on. And then Blackrobe, of course, we never have our issues with Blackrobe because that's our whole platform. So we don't have to worry about getting banned or anything crazy on there. So that's that. And then next, what we have is our Christmas
Starting point is 00:09:07 Eve service. Again, in case this is you're new here, and you think we only do a one-er on Sunday, we don't. We will have a Sunday morning service. And we will have a Sunday Eve serve-ess. So it will be 7 p.m. on Sunday. We will have a regular Sunday, 10 a.m. as always. If you are part of our Foundation Church Kids group, we want you to come to the Grinch Breakfast, but we need you to register online to both Christmas Eve and the Grinch. And we need to know how many people are coming. This is not a drop-off event, but it's only for Foundation Church families. So if you are bringing mom and dad, you both need to let us know. Just tell us the total number so that we are ready to give you the best breakfast ever. Please. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes, go for it. Let me interject really quick. So I only have 160 spots right now. We were over 130. We put we put it on full i mean it was marked as full
Starting point is 00:10:08 heather opened it back up and i don't even know so 133 today it's 133 today yes so right before we started okay good to know yeah so like just know it's 160 spots otherwise we'll have people eating eating outside in the parking lot. Right. Without the crunch. We are, yeah. Right. Yep. So, make sure you do that now. Don't wait too long.
Starting point is 00:10:30 And feel free to get dressed up. Allison already picked out her outfit. And she is very excited. Okay. Send in the questions. We've had a few really great ones come in recently. So, I'm excited to get to those. But you guys, you know, you need to pull your weight.
Starting point is 00:10:46 You need to send in these questions. We're curious what your questions are. Sometimes it might even be a piggyback to something that we talked about this week or this podcast. And feel free, if you need clarification or anything, that's what Hope is here for. Big announcement. Pastor Tom will be here once again. Our Christmas special with him, December 22nd at 3 p.m. Mark your calendars because his people talk to her people and we got it just for you guys. We have our merch shop now. We've got our mug, our spoon, and our t-shirt always available at
Starting point is 00:11:22 foundationchurchfl.com. Click shop. And there's other merch in there as well if you're looking for that. Moving right along to Hope's favorite thing. We had last week, or sorry, on Wednesday, we had the new Thrive. I'll take the logo off so you can see it. The Thrive mascara, which is one of Hope's favorite things. And of course, we had, I'll go through them all, Longhorn for the chocolate stampede. Heather and Travis just had that last night. They said it was unbelievable. And then they brought me some for my anniversary.
Starting point is 00:11:55 God bless. I'm in heaven. I'm in heaven. And apparently, it's big enough to share. So you can take. Oh, yeah. Heather walked in the door with it. And she's like, you eat that?
Starting point is 00:12:04 You don't eat that all by yourself, do you? And I'm like, apparently you don't watch my podcast. Because I've said a hundred times. That you eat that by yourself. I do not eat that by myself. You're sharing caring. You're sharing caring. Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:17 So we have the Gold Bond neck cream. One of the faves. And of course, a mug. The coconut. And we've decided you can go either way, but coconut is her favorite, and it's the Buff City Soap Body Butter. The Thrive Mascara, and today's is the plant-based protein, chocolate peanut butter. Oh my gosh, I forgot about that one favorite oh my gosh listen
Starting point is 00:12:47 truvani oh my gosh yeah i want to win that myself that is not listen that's not cheap no it's not and it's but it is so dang good it's good no preservatives no artificial colors no artificial sweeteners they use real food food. Keep it pure. Order our chocolate peanut butter protein and fall in love with its amazing tasting ingredients. And it is delicious. So good. If you are trying to, like, I mean, Vanessa, back me up, sister. It's like, I feel like I'm cheating. Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:20 And I only use water in my shake. I do not. I use almond milk. And it's delicious. I do mine with banana and almond milk. And, oh, my gosh. Everybody hates it in my house because they can hear the, I have that little bullet, and they're like, oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:13:43 Sometimes I might do it twice. I have a, there's another great one if you're not a chocolate peanut butter person how you cannot be that i think that you're going to hell if that's the case because everybody should be a chocolate peanut butter person so you could you should question your salvation if you don't like that but um i digress they have what is it it's cinnamon cinnamon. Cinnamon banana? Cinnamon banana. Oh, wow. And then mixed berry fruit in it. Died and went to heaven.
Starting point is 00:14:12 So that one I sometimes will have in the morning. Very rarely. I usually do it at night. Have it as my, because I'm an ice cream person. Yeah. And it is very hard for me not to eat ice cream at night. That takes care of it. There you go.
Starting point is 00:14:28 See? I feel like I'm cheating. And I'm not. Not even close. So, that will not disappoint. Whoever remembered that, I don't remember that one being one of my favorite things, but whoever remembered that one, you're brilliant.
Starting point is 00:14:46 And I might only mean that for right this moment, depending on who it is in the room. And if you take me off. I feel like it was me, Tracy. Was it? Who was it? Tracy? Oh, Vanessa and Tracy? It's one of you two?
Starting point is 00:14:58 God knows. Let's throw down right now. Right now. I'm joking. I honestly can't remember. I honestly can remember. And it was me. I wasn't going to say anything. I'm joking. I honestly can't remember. I honestly can remember. And it was me. I wasn't going to say anything, but I mean.
Starting point is 00:15:09 So it was Tracy? Listen, 100% it was me. I was like, the protein. Oh, yeah. That was one of the first ones. But this whole thing is the messiest thing. It is true what I said. I will consider you brilliant for only this moment.
Starting point is 00:15:21 And then something might change depending on. I know. Who knows? Who knows how this is going to go. If then something might change depending on who knows. Who knows how this is going to go. If you make me happy or if you disappoint. I don't know. We'll see. What will it be? We'll see. You never know. She gets fired and rehired
Starting point is 00:15:35 in three seconds pretty often. Pretty often. We're going to have tough skin around here. What is that? You're going to have tough skin around here. You got to have a tough skin. All of us do. To work with each other. Okay. So. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:47 So lastly. Keep going girl. Lastly, just listen for every podcast for the secret word and the timestamp. And at the end of this, we will need you to email us the secret phrase. And if you have the secret phrase with the timestamps, guess what? You will have your name put in to win the whole entire lot of hope's favorite things i'm just saying like so far you guys have knocked it out of the park just wait there's more it's like the infomercial. Just wait. There's more. I can't even imagine what they could be. Right?
Starting point is 00:16:26 And I saw them. Yes. They're your favorite things. And I probably loved them at the time, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You did. You were very happy about them. I hope somebody I love wins them.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Me too. Yeah, me too. But if it's somebody that I don't know, I'll be happy for you too. Yeah, if you're watching every podcast, we're here for it. Yeah. Who knows? Who knows? Okay. So we got anything else? That's it. That is it. All righty, Rue. Let's roll. First question. My mother prays to the saints and to the Holy Mary, mother of Jesus. I've been told more than once to only pray to God in the name of Jesus. Any insight on this? I know you can talk to Jesus and praise him, but what type of prayers can we pray
Starting point is 00:17:11 to him, if any? Okay, so I'm going to address the last part of that briefly, but it's, for me, I was like, Tom's former Catholic. How many of you guys were former Catholics? Okay, Sarah was a former Catholic. The rest of us are mutts because we really aren't anything, correct? Like I've pretty much always been non-denominational. I have no, Vanessa, you non-denominational? I grew up Pentecostal. Pentecostal Pentecostal I was I grew up Pentecostal
Starting point is 00:17:46 but like I've never like gone like I've did assemblies of God church I'm a mutt I'm kidding you're not I've gone to a whole bunch of different churches but never really like Catholics are Catholic yeah I mean that's the facts and unless unless you leave the faith, which is what Tom did. Tom grew up Catholic, did the classes, the whole thing. He never went to Catholic school, but he did catechism and stuff like that. So, but that's interesting. So you two are like me. Did you grow up in a Pentecostal, Tracy, did you grow up in a Pentecostal atmosphere? Assemblies of God. Assemblies of Pentecostal tracy did you grow up in a pentecostal atmosphere assemblies
Starting point is 00:18:25 of god similarly like the whole time yeah but still very church of god and pentecost assemblies are very similar but they're set up very differently right so they the they're all um basically their declarations are all the same like we're a pre-trib. Yeah. I mean, all of us grew up like all of that stuff. We are, you know, that there's only the Trinity, you know, all the gifts of the Spirit. Right. So it's all the same. But the thing is, is like, did you stick with Assemblies of God all your life? For a very long time.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Yeah. All your life you've done Assemblies of God. Until I was an adult. You're like an Assemblies of God girl. Until I was an adult. And then I started goinglies of God girl. Until I was an adult. And then I started going on and on. Well, no, I went to a first assembly in Fort Myers for a while. So you're what Pastor Rodney calls a, how does he say that?
Starting point is 00:19:14 Oh, my God. How does he say that one? That was stinking funny. I don't know that one. No, that's church of oh, my God. Oh. Or something like that. I want to cry laughing every single time he says.
Starting point is 00:19:27 He has like Assemblies of God and Church of God. He has little like phrases he uses for them. They're pretty funny. But yeah, I never like, we never, we never, I grew up Pentecostal. Okay. But I never like stuck with the denomination that was Pentecostal,
Starting point is 00:19:45 which is usually where some of your theologies come from and stuff. So I guess I could say that that's true. But I still feel like I don't have any one person. Like Catholics, like Protestants, Episcopalians, they always stay that way. Methodists always pretty much stay in that faith. Baptists, they stay that way. Do you know what I'm saying? It's very, very different from like going to different churches. Like we're, that's not, I don't think that that's that normal. I, most of my, my girlfriend that's Pentecostal,
Starting point is 00:20:18 she grew up Baptist. She still goes to her Baptist church, like has not left it. They call her a Baptocostal. Yeah, which I, have you never heard that term before? Oh yeah. Plenty of times. But she still stays in the Baptist church. That's what she knows. Like, it's hard for some people. But for people like us that
Starting point is 00:20:39 just kind of, not that you jumped around, but you kind of, we did. We jumped around to different. Yeah. Or I didn't, it was non-denominational. It was either Assembly of the God, Church of God, or non-denominational. But I find that that's not the norm. Most people have a denomination.
Starting point is 00:20:58 They grow up in it. They stick with it. And they die that way. And it's more tradition because their parents went there, grandparents went there. It's almost like a legacy. Or I find that a lot of times people I'm not going to even go back there because it might not be good for me.
Starting point is 00:21:23 I agree with you. i was about to expose something that i don't want to not about myself but about i'll leave it alone it might get me in trouble later on with family so i'm gonna leave it alone gotcha and it's not worth it. So, but this is with Catholicism. Catholicism, this is the crazy thing. There are people that think Catholicism is just another, like a Jehovah Witness. They think it's kind of like, oh, yeah, Sarah's eyes just got big. Oh, yeah, I've heard that before. They don't really, even thoughesus is the way it's not
Starting point is 00:22:09 really taught in some churches in the catholic church they don't encourage you to read the bible now when i say this i'm not saying every catholic church on the though, one of the things is, is said is most Catholics that I talk to, it's very rare that I've ever talked to a Catholic or someone that was a practicing Catholic that they said that they were encouraged to read the Bible. It was more of come here, we'll tell you what the Bible says. Jesus is not like, this is another thing that a lot of people of the Catholic faith have told me. Jesus is important, but Mary's also important, so are the saints. They're almost of equal importance. Also, you don't say the sinner's prayer.
Starting point is 00:23:01 Now, I will tell you this, though. I have heard of evangelical Catholic churches, and you do say the sinner's prayer now i will tell you this though i have heard of evangelical catholic churches and you do say the sinner's prayer with them so there's some differing things i don't agree that the catholic faith is like the jehovah witness or a cult kind of thing i don't agree with that but do i think it's borderline i mean it's it's it's it's it's it's bad doctrine in many ways. And one of the ways is the praying to the Mother Mary and the other saints. And because we're never to pray to anyone else, you don't go into a man, you don't go to a priest who you confess your sins,
Starting point is 00:23:40 he forgives you of your sins, who is a tangible being. We confess our sins to the Lord Jesus Christ, not to a physical man that's called a priest or a father. That's completely unbiblical. See, that's where I say the Catholic faith is off, because there are some major problems. We're not to have any idols. They worship the Mother Mary.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Like, there are some... I mean, I don't want to take people off here, but I'm going to. The fact of the matter is, is if you're praying to the mother, Mary, she's an idol to you. And that's not good. You don't pray to anyone, but to the father, we're going to get into this. So I, although your question is, is how do I, and I'll get back to it. How I know you can talk to Jesus and praise him, but what type of prayers can we pray to him? If any, I'll get back to it. I know you can talk to Jesus and praise him, but what type of prayers can we pray to him, if any? I'll hit that, but I really felt like
Starting point is 00:24:30 it was way more important to talk about how people are misguided in the Catholic faith and how they pray and how they worship different, I don't want to say characters, but different people of the Bible, how they worship them. And we've talked about this before, but people literally taking St. Joseph to sell their house, taking a St. Joseph, flipping it upside down,
Starting point is 00:24:59 burying it until the house sells. Some people swear by that. There's other things that people do with different saints. If you walk into some people's Catholic, that are Catholic, their homes, it's like a shrine. It's like, I don't know of any Christian that you walk into their house and things are like that, that are like a shrine.
Starting point is 00:25:22 It's like super dangerous. So let's look at this i i'm gonna kind of read this but i'm gonna kind of not read this says some roman catholics draw a fine line between praying to mary which they deny doing and they say they're praying with her so i looked this up because i was like i don't know about the catholic faith very very much so what i did do any of don't know about the Catholic faith very, very much. So what I did, do any of you guys know about the Catholic faith very well? So Sarah, you do. Now, Sarah, if Sarah wants to say something, I don't know, throw something at Tracy so you can get her attention.
Starting point is 00:25:57 So that you can speak into the microphone or just pop into the microphone. If what I say, if I've been given the wrong information by my research, then Sarah, you can say, that's not true, okay? If I've said anything up to this point, she's shaking her head no, that I have not said anything up to this point that's been incorrect.
Starting point is 00:26:17 Let's put her on really quick. Sarah, how long did you do the Catholic faith thing? I think I was like 15. Up to 15, that's significant. Yeah. You know then. Yeah. Okay. Did you grow up in it where you had to do catechism and stuff like that? Oh, so she did do the classes. She's good. Right for the picking. You're knowledgeable. I need that. I wasn't sure if there's anybody that would actually know. So I'm so glad.
Starting point is 00:26:47 I'm so glad you showed up today. I wasn't coming today. And the Holy Spirit was like, uh. Yes, you are. Hot diggity doggity. Thank you, Holy Spirit. When I've seen people argue about praying to Mary, they'll always say they don't. But then when they're questioned about it, they don't answer it. So is there like something that you guys like justify praying to Mary?
Starting point is 00:27:07 I'm going to show you. Oh, good. Okay. I'm very curious. No, because Tracy, seriously, that's a big, like that's a big sticking point. Yeah. Because people say that they don't. Right.
Starting point is 00:27:17 Right. All the time. It starts out with Hail Mary. Full of grace. Yeah. I'm looking at my. Okay. Okay, so let me ask this.
Starting point is 00:27:30 Hey, go on Facebook. Can you go on Facebook for me, Logan, real quick? What do you need on Facebook? Can you go on and ask Jamie Peck if she's watching right now? Jamie Peck. Yeah, ask Jamie Peck if she's watching right now? Jamie Peck. I asked Jamie Peck if she is currently watching the Hope Hotline. She's going to hear it.
Starting point is 00:27:54 I have a reason for this. Oh, I can tag her. Oh yeah, tag her. Jamie, are you here? What is that? She said, Jamie, are you here? Jamie, are you on? Sarah tagged her. What is that? Sarah tagged her. Get over here, boy. Come on over. You're on the whole pot. Come on over.
Starting point is 00:28:17 He's a chair. He wants a chair. Don't be scared, little boy. Bend down. She's super tall. Jamie Peck. The package has arrived safely into the studio. Oh, my gosh. This is her son. Okay. Hi, son. You can go sit down.
Starting point is 00:28:34 Oh, thanks. That's Norma's little friend right now. What is that? Well, that's Norma's friend that she's dating my kids both listen to this yeah okay so get this get this i know so we'll get back on to the mother mary okay we'll get back to mother mary in one moment because this is priority over mother mary apparently 100 so you know it's so weird i'm in a season of life. Like, my kids have never dated.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Right. Okay, so Tommy has been dating. I won't say her name because apparently I'm going to. You've already said it on the podcast. You called your son out weeks ago. I know. I got in trouble for that slightly. Did you?
Starting point is 00:29:17 But I don't care. So, Tommy is dating this cute little girl at church named Isabel. He's been dating her since, is it May, Norma? Or April? April. Okay, so listen. They just became official, like exclusive. They dated for about five to six months.
Starting point is 00:29:39 Yeah. Maybe six months. Dated for six months, and then they were like, which I think is smart. Yeah. Like, date to find out if you want to be exclusive right because then you get hurt feelings if you don't right so they just became official okay i've never like my kids have never dated before but let me let me this is something my son did not do. So mothers, I failed. Big time. Jamie Peck passed.
Starting point is 00:30:12 She did good. Yeah. So listen, so I'm going to expose a little bit. I don't know. Oh, this is funny. So listen, this is dang funny. So his name is Jagger. Is that not like greatest name? Best name. Amaryllis. So cool, this is dang funny. So his name is Jagger. Is that not like greatest name?
Starting point is 00:30:27 Best name. Amaryllis. So cool. Cool. Cool girl. Cool. So his name is Jagger. So we called him Base Boy for a very long time.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Yeah, we did. Right? Because when we first went through the river, Norma noticed him and we all called him Base Boy. And then he started dating somebody else. So she's like, Bass Boy's out. So then time passed. I don't know how he saw her, but he saw her. I don't know how long he, like, I don't know all this stuff.
Starting point is 00:31:02 I don't really care. So then he goes, if you go to all this stuff. I don't really care. So then he goes, if you go to the river, you got to ask permission. You got to go up the line because he works for them and stuff like that. So he goes, goes in up, you know, goes through the process of asking to see if he can even talk to her. So we go to the river. It was like, was it a month and a half jagger i think it was it was the last conference last it was the last night we were gonna be there pastor rodney brings jagger over yeah the man himself which really did help because are you gonna say because tom is super like well that that helped because if pastor rodney's saying he's a good guy, like, okay, he's safe.
Starting point is 00:31:50 So, yeah. So, Jagger goes and asks Tom, which Jagger is taller than Tom. So, Jagger's looking down at Tom like, you better say yeah, man. He didn't. He was super sweet. Super sweet. So, he asks permission to talk to Norma pastor Rodney says he wants to talk he wants to ask permission to talk to Norma
Starting point is 00:32:10 and I wanted to introduce you so then which I'll tell you this in a minute so then Jagger then proceeds to talk to Tom very sweetly appropriately nothing like my son did and we told Tommy, and Tommy's like, why'd you do that? Because that's what you do, son. Apparently I've gone wrong in a very big way. Very big.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Oh, it's Tommy. Yeah, so, so far, like, gentlemen, I mean, as far as, that's very gentlemanly. And now, like, I didn't know, like, I would talk to his mama at now, like, I didn't know, like, I would talk to his mama at the conferences,
Starting point is 00:32:47 but I didn't know they were mother and daughter. I mean, mother and son. Sorry about that, Jagger. You're not a daughter. Mother and son. Isn't that wild? Like, I talked to his mom, and I didn't even know who it was, so. Pretty cool. So the world now knows. It's like a Hallmark movie.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Yeah, both kids dating. That's wild. Have you guys had, Tracy, have you had either one of your daughters date? No, not yet. Yeah, that's crazy. Logan has no kids. Vanessa's is too young.
Starting point is 00:33:20 Sarah, you've got old. Your kids have dated. Sarah's kids have dated wrong, apparently. Sarah has failed. Her kids are dating wrong. No, I mean, not wrong, but just like... Not the way you would prefer. I mean, I got it.
Starting point is 00:33:37 But they're adults. Listen, there ain't nothing you can do when they become adults. They're on their own. They don't live with her. They're adults. They're on their own. They don't live with her. They're adults. Not the ones, not the two that are dating. Like I said, I'll just take the fifth.
Starting point is 00:33:55 Plead the fifth. Heather said stop. Stop it right now. Heather, you're not here, so I don't have to listen to you. Tali said, Heather, you stop. If you were here, Heather, I might listen. Norma has a big smile. That's why Heather's saying stop. Yeah, yeah, it is. She said, poor Norma. It's literally what I texted her when she walked in the door. I was like, I'm your fan. She's like, what are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:34:25 I said, your smile could knock somebody out right now. Aw. She's so cute. She is embarrassed. Okay, now let's just go back to the mother of Mary. Or the mother Mary. Because I think it's more appropriate now. But it's not because Heather told me to do it.
Starting point is 00:34:47 It's not. Because I'm ready to move on. Well done, Jamie Peck. Well done. For real. For real. Gosh. All right.
Starting point is 00:34:58 So let's go back. And now I've lost everybody because nobody really cares. No, they love this stuff. We've got like 17 people on Facebook right now living their best life. That's going to be our highest numbers. I'm usually in the 50s, and I'm only at 17 today. And Facebook. On Facebook.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Facebook. Oh, because Facebook blocks me like crazy. We've had like five people watching. I'm usually at four. Right. At Facebook. Right. We've got everybody on.
Starting point is 00:35:20 So, listen. They found out Norma. People who have never heard of the Hope Hotline right now could give a rip. They're all about Norma and Jagger. We're invested. That might help me. Yeah, it will. Now as soon as I'm talking about Mother, Mother Mary, they gone. They gone.
Starting point is 00:35:36 They don't care. Bye. They only care about love. Yeah. They ain't loved people just yet. They only been dating how long you guys been dating well they were friends for a long time just talking what are you guys laughing at you're friends right now but you're you were friends and now you're dating
Starting point is 00:35:59 okay whatever next yeah next question let's move on they're both redder than Okay, whatever. Next question. Yeah, next question. Let's move on. They're both redder than, I don't know. They're both red. Let's move back. Norm, I have deodorant in my office and my drawer. Her deodorant's now gone.
Starting point is 00:36:17 Okay, some Catholics draw a fine line between praying, saying they pray to Mother Mary. Some of them say they just, they ask her to pray for them, okay, or pray with them. It's crazy. Okay, they believe that praying to the Mary, oops, I got a niche, praying to Mary or the saints is asking people, like, they believe that when they're praying to,
Starting point is 00:36:49 when they're praying to Mary, but they say they're not praying to her, they're praying and asking her to pray for them. Like, that's like when we ask each other, like, if I was going through something, I would go to, like, my friends and I would say that agree, that pray like me. I would say, listen, I want you to stand in agreement with me on this. Pray with me on this. That's what they believe they're doing. Okay, okay, okay. But I'm just saying, by the time I'm done, they lie.
Starting point is 00:37:15 It's not true. It's not true. They're lying. You know how people try and lie to convince themselves that they're not doing anything wrong? Yeah. That's what's happening here. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Let's see. Let's go to one of the, okay, what it says, and this is where Sarah might help me out. In catechism, okay, they're saying Roman Catholic Church, but if you're just Catholic, it doesn't mean you're Roman Catholic, right? You're just Catholic? You took catechism. Was it Roman Catholic catechism, or was it just Catholic? I think it's interchangeable.
Starting point is 00:37:55 Catholicism. I think Roman Catholic just became Catholic. Okay. So they just took the Roman off the front of it. Okay. It says the Roman Catholic Church, the second edition. Does that make sense to you? No.
Starting point is 00:38:09 Makes it clear. I can tell by your face right away. You're looking at me like you have no idea what I'm talking about. Makes it clear that prayers on earth can indeed be directed to Mary. Get this. Here's a prayer. When we pray to Mary, this is a prayer. Oh, no, this is a quote that somebody says about
Starting point is 00:38:26 when they pray. When we pray to Mary, we are adhering with her to the plan of the Father, who sends his Son to save all men. Like the beloved disciple, we welcome Jesus's mother into our homes, for she has become the mother of all the living. That's in catechism. That's in the booklet, right? That's a quote. We can pray with her, with and to her. So apparently they are praying with or to. They can do both, right? So here's a couple of the prayers. And it's not even close. You know the prayers I'm about to say. Okay. These are the famous ones. This one is a Memo Rare. Do you know it? Memo Rare?
Starting point is 00:39:09 Am I saying that wrong? It's M-E-M-O-R-A-R-E. Sounds good. Thank you. It's directly, we're brilliant in this room. If you combine all our brain cells together, we make one person. Yeah. Okay, so. If you combine all our brain cells together, we make one person. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Okay. So a Roman Catholic is a Catholic. Okay. So you just, who pulled this up for me? Well, Logan's found it. Logan just pulled this up. A Roman Catholic is a Catholic who is a member of the Roman right. There are many Catholics in the East who are not Roman Catholics,
Starting point is 00:39:45 such as a Maronite Catholics, a Ukrainian Catholics, and a Chaldean Catholics. Is that like Assemblies of God and Church of God? Okay. Can Logan read something real quick? Because we searched the same thing and got something different. It says that Roman Catholicism differs from other Christian churches and denominations in its
Starting point is 00:40:05 beliefs and sacraments. So this one was saying there's a Roman Catholic and a Catholic Christian. The roles of the Bible and tradition, the importance of Virgin Mary and the saints and the papacy. Yeah. So they're saying that one, like the Christian one, is less focused on Mary. And the saints, correct. And the other one is very much, so they might not even do catechism at the Christian Catholic.
Starting point is 00:40:35 And I know that's familiar because my friend who is Catholic, we've had this conversation and she very much reads her Bible. She is Holy Spirit led in a lot of things she does. Yeah. That's the evangelical Christians that are Catholics that I was telling you about. To come to foundation. Amen. Sister preach. What's her name? I'll call her right now. Andrea. Andrea, call out. Get to foundation church. So here's what this famous prayer and i don't even i'm not gonna even try and say it again says and it directly it says it directly encourages people to pray and trust in her it says remember this is the prayer remember most loving virgin mary never was it
Starting point is 00:41:18 heard that anyone who turned to you for help was left unaided. I run to your protection for you are my mother. Have you ever heard that one, Sarah? Sarah never read that one. Okay, so that's one of their most popular ones. That's the Roman Catholic, but you're not Roman Catholic. Are you Ukrainian Catholic? We got a lot of them in the area. I know.
Starting point is 00:41:44 I don't know. Oh, my gosh. There's a lizard in here. It's running across behind me. At least it's not a roach. I thought it was at first. I was like, is that? What kind of bug is that?
Starting point is 00:41:57 Yeah, it is. Okay, here's another. Do you know the Hail Holy Queen? I've heard of that one. I know Hail Mary. Hail Mary, Mother of Grace? Hail Mary, Full of Grace. Okay, that's not this one, but it's close.
Starting point is 00:42:13 That's close to this one. Aren't you supposed to do, how many Hail Marys if you do something really bad? Okay, so when you go to confession. Get on the microphone. When you go to confession with a priest, they give you prayers based on how bad your sins were. Oh, dear. I would have been saying a lot of Hail Marys.
Starting point is 00:42:35 And it's your penance. And it's not praying. It's basically you just have to go. You have your rosary, and you have to count like, count the beads on the rosary and pray. How many number times? Yeah. Do you know what that reminds me of? Ten Hail Marys and then one Our Father. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:42:52 You know what they did? They stole it from school. How many of you guys, when you did something wrong, like, all the time, like, my notebook would be full of a sentence. I will not do this again. And it would be whatever i did i will stop talking while the teacher is talking that's all that is you know you have to do it so many so many lines of i will not do this over and over again that's what they did they stole it no i think school stole it from the catholics because public school's only been around for like 200 years. I choose, I beg to differ.
Starting point is 00:43:32 I listen, I wrote, I wrote that, I wrote a lot in my notebook. I would, I kid you not, I would be doing a lot of Hail Marys. Nobody's surprised. Thank you, Tracy. Let's look at the Hail Holy Queen. This prayer explicitly calls Mary a most gracious advocate. Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy. Hail, our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
Starting point is 00:43:53 To you we cry, the children of Eve. To you we send our sighs, mourning and weeping to this land of exile. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us. Lead us home at last. I kid you not, if i had to memorize these prayers so how's the one that you that clearly she's like worshiped like do you remember your hail mary yes can you say it for us seriously i want to hear it because it's obviously not like these get on the mic girl no we can hear you. Oh, my gosh. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Starting point is 00:44:28 Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. You had to say that a bunch yourself, didn't you? Oh, yeah. She did a lot of rosaries. I actually didn't, but I have a good memory. Oh, 15.
Starting point is 00:44:46 You couldn't have done too much by 15. That's true. That's crazy to me. How they can say that they're not praying, but they're praying with, none of that is even with. That's all too. It's addressing things, right? So I would say it's not biblical at all
Starting point is 00:45:06 are you leaving yeah uh i would say what are you what's going on over there i was just watching the replay of vanessa watching me say the prayer and i was very funny yeah don't watch hashtag replay while we're while we're doing the podcast. It always chums things up for me. It's Norma and Tayo watching themselves on hashtag replay and then they're laughing at themselves. It's always replay
Starting point is 00:45:35 over here. Okay. It's not possible. It is absolutely not biblical. Listen, I don't know if there's a lot of Catholics that watch this, but I'm just saying it is not possible to pray to Mary and it be biblical. There is absolutely nowhere in Scripture that says that you should pray to somebody who has passed away.
Starting point is 00:45:59 Whether they've done great things, and listen, I'm a big fan of Mary. Okay? Big fan. Coming up on the season, tis a big fan of Mary. Okay? Big fan. Coming up on the season. Tis the season to be Mary. Tis the season. Yeah. You guys know what I'm talking about?
Starting point is 00:46:12 Yeah. What am I talking about? Tis the season to be Mary. Wait. Oh, my name's Mary. You guys don't know what I'm talking about. I'm just thinking Christmas, but I don't know. Is there something deeper?
Starting point is 00:46:24 Is there a deeper meaning? Yes. Oh, I was like, Merry Christmas. Jesus is mom. I hate you all. It's Christmas vacation, Chevy Chase, with the girl at the counter, buying lingerie.
Starting point is 00:46:39 Yes. Oh, yeah. Nobody's watched it yet this year. Yeah, you have to skip that part Because it's inappropriate See we're all good girls Obviously I'm not I only watch it on
Starting point is 00:46:54 I only watch it on TV Where it's like Virgin Mother Mary The virgin style Someone that you can watch That's not true I've watched plenty of the other way okay um but hope don't they have a different bible too like don't you guys have a different bible they do but they also you they can also use the regular bible yeah they i've seen plenty of catholic people have the regular bible they have different books too right
Starting point is 00:47:20 i knew somebody who wanted to be a priest You wouldn't believe the number of books about the Catholic faith. You learn more about the Catholic faith, in my opinion, than you do the Bible. Am I wrong, Sarah? That is correct. Yes. That makes sense. It's more about the faith and the denomination versus what the Bible says. It's very dangerous. Anytime, anytime you're, this is why I'm, when people ask me like
Starting point is 00:47:48 what denomination we are, I always say we're non-denominational. And I always say this, if I don't, it's, it's rarity, but I always go, we go strictly by the word of God. That's all we use is the word of God. Because so many of these denominations have doctrines. And who made those doctrines? Man. Man. Can man get it wrong? Yeah, all the time.
Starting point is 00:48:10 You know, it becomes where a denomination becomes a business, like a chain versus a, it's all supposed to be Holy Spirit driven. That's it. And instead of business, because if you look at like when we first started this church, we've always given everything away. People would go, you can't rub two pennies together. Why are you giving stuff away? Because that's the word.
Starting point is 00:48:40 If you give it away, then God's promises come back. And it has proven itself over and over and over again. Most churches, though, don't do that. It's like in our church, children's ministry is heavily focused on. And it's not because we have so many kids, which we do. We have a large number of kids. That's not the reason why we put so much money to it. Because we put so much money to it is because the word of God is very
Starting point is 00:49:05 clear about children. It is a very, they are, you need to invest. If you don't invest in them, what do you have for the future? And plus Jesus was very, very clear about how he wanted us to be with kids. So, um, but a lot of people will tell you in a lot of churches, especially in this area, cause we're retired. most of them, I've had people say to me, yeah, but they don't bring in any money. So that's like kind of like throwing money away. Yeah. They're like, but why would you do that? They don't really bring in any money because we don't care about that.
Starting point is 00:49:38 God provides the money and we do our job. We don't go by like what a business, like Vanessa, like when Jeff does things, he has a business perspective on things, correct? Like he has a, let's see how I want to say this. He has a system. He what? A business plan, like a system. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:03 So what he does is that's always evolving and changing with growth. But you use that model for everything. When you are a church, there is no business model. It's Holy Spirit driven. If the Holy Spirit tells you to do this, even if it makes no sense, financially, personally, whatever it is, you do it. And you don't count the costs. You let the chips fall.
Starting point is 00:50:29 You just stand and be obedient. But that's not how a lot of churches are today because there is a business model. There is a business plan, and it has to fit that mode. That's why when we went to go buy this building, people were like, where's your budget? And we said, we don't have one because we don't put God in a box and say, okay, we're only going to spend this amount of money in this department. We don't do that. And even now with who we have the mortgage with, they understand how we operate. We've made it abundantly clear.
Starting point is 00:51:00 But because we're so strong financially, because we've done all the right things biblically speaking right it's not an issue that's what people forget if you let god do the planning and if you got let god lead the way then you always right you're like the cream of the crop you always rise to the top instead of the other way around so let's get back to this. So let's see. So what I was saying is the Bible in no way or in no place talks about praying to someone who has passed away or a saint or something like that. It doesn't say anything. So let's find out why they do this. And what they say is why they petition the dead and request for prayers. They say this. Their view on this is Mary and the saints are intercessors before God. Which if we as believers, we know like who is our intercessor?
Starting point is 00:52:01 Jesus is it. That's what the word says. Jesus is our only intercessor. But they believe that just shows you the lack of understanding of what the word says. If they truly read the Bible, then instead of letting man read it for them, then they would understand that they're doing this completely wrong. Catholics view Mary and the saints as intercessors before God. They believe that a saint who is glorified in heaven has been perfected in love, including love for us, and has more direct access to God than do earthbound sinners. In Catholic thinking, prayers delivered by a saint
Starting point is 00:52:37 are more effective than our praying to God directly. That's nuts. So what does the Bible say about this? And I looked up some scriptures. Hebrew 4.16 says, Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. So when we go boldly before the Lord with confidence, well, we're sons and daughters, so it doesn't matter. We have the rights to go boldly before him.
Starting point is 00:53:05 And Jesus takes the place of the Mary and the saints. He stands. No one, like for me, I sit there and go, you can go boldly before the throne of God or Jesus, who is our intercessor, right? Or you can have, and I don't mean this in a derogatory or negative way, but it is going to come out like that because they are inferior. Why would you go to Mary or one of the saints when you can go to God or Jesus himself? They're inferior, and I'm not saying that I'm not. It sounds like I'm putting them down, but I'm not. They're inferior to who you have at your access.
Starting point is 00:53:40 Why would you do that? It makes no sense to me. 1 Timothy 2.5, there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ. So only one mediator, that's Jesus. So you don't go to a priest and you don't ask the priest for forgiveness because the priest can't provide that to you. The only person who can is Jesus Christ who died on that cross for the forgiveness of your sins, and he is the only one.
Starting point is 00:54:05 He'll be the one that judges you, not the priest. When it is your time and you stand before the Lord and it's your judgment time, Jesus is the one that judges. That's what the word says. And he determines where you go in heaven and he determines where you go in hell. And so praying to that priest or asking that priest for forgiveness and then getting your punishment of how many, how many reasons, that's all nonsense. It's not even in the Bible, not even in the Bible. So don't waste your time.
Starting point is 00:54:37 If you're Catholic, listen, don't be offended. Listen to what I'm saying. Check it out in the word of God and see if I'm right. And if I am right, then maybe you need to not be a Catholic anymore. And that's a tough thing because like my husband's mother, whom I love very much, you know, many years ago said, when are you coming back to the Catholic faith? He's like, never. Once a Catholic, always a Catholic, they say. But that's not true. You can't walk away from that and find a deeper, more meaningful walk with the Lord. And so I would strongly suggest that. Hebrews 7.25 says, he is able to save completely those
Starting point is 00:55:19 who come to God through him because he always lives to intercede for them. Jesus himself intercedes for us. That's it. Romans 8, 26 through 27 says, likewise, the spirit also helps in our weaknesses for we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the spirit himself makes intercession. Holy Spirit. So you got Jesus, Holy Spirit, you've God, right?
Starting point is 00:55:41 For us with groanings, which cannot be uttered. That's why speaking in tongues, super important because the Holy Spirit, you've got, right, for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. That's why speaking in tongues, super important because the Holy Spirit, and this is one of the things we and my little peanut gallery have said a hundred times. If you speak in tongues, the Holy Spirit will speak. I don't speak a lot. When I pray, I speak in tongues a lot. First of all, Satan can't understand it. Second of all, the Holy Spirit says far better what I'm thinking and what I'm needing, far better and far superior than I could ever do myself.
Starting point is 00:56:08 So why should I use my vocabulary when I got something far superior to speak on my behalf? Now he who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. So the Holy Spirit does it. Why would we need Mary or the saints interceding for us? Why? We don't. You don't. If you're Catholic, listen to me. Do not be offended. Listen to what I'm saying. Less offense. Listen to what I'm saying and see if what I'm saying is true. It might free you from religion. And religion is not good. There is nothing good about religion. I think every single one of us in this room would say we are not religious people. People will say to us, oh, you're very religious. And I'm like, I am not. Thanks for the insult.
Starting point is 00:56:57 Yeah. I am not religious. Right. At all. Right. Not even close to it. Amen. And the thing is, is the most common term today is I have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I even I'm like that's dumbing itself down now because people are like, whatever. They think it's hippie ish, you know, for you to say it's not about it's not about religion. It's about relationship. I'm like, that makes no sense to people. For me, it's like one-on-one, a one-on-one communication. There's no, I always say to people, religion, God's here, I'm here. With what I have, God's here, I'm here. We connect.
Starting point is 00:57:42 There's no barrier between the two of us. And so, um, I don't even know how to communicate it outside of how I always do, which is a lot of words, um, instead of one relationship instead of one. But for me, it's so become so even that term, it used to be like, that a great way to say that i'm not religious but even today i'm like it sounds so christianese now do you know what i'm saying yeah like it's it kind of doesn't mean anything anymore because even non-believers say i have a relationship and i'm like you got nothing like you look like the world but you say you have something i'm looking over there which is really over here at the girls um let's see
Starting point is 00:58:28 so second corinthians 111 says you are also helping you also helping together in prayer for us but thanks may be given by many persons on behalf for the gift granted to us through many ephesians 116 says do not cease to give thanks for you making mention of you in my prayers. This is for your last question. Some of this is answering your question. So how do you pray? Part of this is true. And then we'll hit that really quick because I got a minute 45.
Starting point is 00:58:55 Philippians 1.19 says, For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 1.3 says, I thank God whom I serve with pure conscience as my forefathers. And I will read these back to you, Logan, if you need them. So the Apostle Paul asked the Christians to pray for him in 619. And I will tell you, you need to be really careful because the word is very clear about praying to the dead. Say it louder. I said, you really need to be careful about praying to the dead.
Starting point is 00:59:34 Amen. It's not good. It strongly condemns it. Leviticus 20, 27, Deuteronomy 18, 10 through 13, and 1 Samuel 28, 7 through 19. Clearly speaks against this. You should not do it. And actually, every time, what are you laughing at? She's trying. She's trying to keep up with you.
Starting point is 00:59:53 God help. I'll give it to you later. I'll give it to you later. But the other thing is, is make sure, like, I would find, you know, people say, well, that's old testament old testament is still still you say word is same the word is the same yesterday today and forever so it applies to now and i would also say 10 commandments still apply today it says to have
Starting point is 01:00:15 no idols and if you're praying to someone other than god the trinity jesus whatever if you're not praying to one of them then you really need to check your heart and find out if you aren't an idol worshiper. Secret word for today is can. The secret word for today is can. C-A-N. Okay. What? C-A-N. C-A-N. What did I say? No, you did. Okay. It's 4 o'clock in five seconds. Perfect. Thank you. So let me ask you really quick. Put you on really fast.
Starting point is 01:00:54 So there's a lot of giggles over there today. So here's what I would say is if you're going to pray, we've talked about praying before. Everybody over there, I'm going to say one. You can think of one yourself. If you're going to pray, what's a great way to pray? Obviously, you're going to pray in Jesus's name. I pray in Jesus's name. But I pray, like I said, I pray in tongues almost the whole entire time. If you're not, pray, if you don't have your prayer language, you need it like yesterday. It will radically change you. It'll bring a boldness to you that you did not know that you needed or even existed. And the other thing I would add to is, yeah, you need to, I always start out my prayers with being thankful.
Starting point is 01:01:34 I am extremely thankful in the very beginning. I spend some time in worship. I don't go to God with all of my needs and all of my asks at the very beginning. I want to make sure that he understands that I know how worthy he is and how grateful I am that he even exists in my life. Because without him, I am, I say this to the Lord so often, without him, I am nothing. And I just last night was driving somewhere and I was like, I literally want to
Starting point is 01:02:05 pinch myself sometimes because the life that I have because of the gift that he gave. And all of us should really have a deep understanding, whatever that is for you, that's what it is for me. But everybody needs to have a deep understanding of the sacrifice that was made for them so that not only do they have an amazing, prosperous, abundant life here on this earth, whether it be finances, health, business, whatever it is, like success in your goals as far as career or whatever, all of those things you have because God has provided to them if you're a believer. And some of them you're not getting or attaining because of your lack of understanding of promises. And once you gain that knowledge, sky's the limit. So most people walk around and they complain more than they are grateful.
Starting point is 01:02:55 And so because of that complaining, they never see the amazing life that is theirs and that they're living because nothing is ever enough. And with God, like, sky's the limit. There is no limit to what he can do. And so with that, Tracy, what would you give as far as praying? Yeah, having scripture, like something you're standing on. Like just a scripture. Using the word when you're praying is extremely powerful go girl we're getting her saved but she does pray she she likes the thinking i'm just
Starting point is 01:03:34 kidding she is saved oh my gosh i'm just kidding she goes i am so i'm like oh my gosh i know you're kidding you're always thinking in first two yep lo Logan? I've noticed in the mornings before my feet hit the ground, I acknowledge that he's my creator and that it's his day. Yeah. And that's changed my day. Yep. Sarah? I do like a thanks and praise sandwich.
Starting point is 01:04:00 So I start with thanks and praise, then I go to him. But when I'm talking to him about my needs, I'm not like, oh Lord, if you could please do this. It's what Tracy said. This is the scripture. Your word will not return void. And then I end with thanks and praise at the end. Yeah. I think it's super important. Exactly. Super important when you're praying over something, you're prophetically speaking it as though it has existed. Like for me, when I pray, I have a list. And me and Vanessa have talked about this. Vanessa has a list. I have a list. And when I'm praying that list, I am speaking over those things and I'm commanding and declaring that they have or shall
Starting point is 01:04:40 come to pass. And then you watch them, you cross them off. Because words are powerful and they hold much weight. And if you don't think it, then why does the word say life and death is held in the tongue? Obviously they do. Vanessa? All of the above. But in all realness. Yeah. Starting each day in thankfulness.
Starting point is 01:05:01 I make sure that I have that moment in the morning. And also what Tracy said, finding scripture and standing on that. Because like Sarah said, his word never returns void. It does not. And that's just funny. So this morning,
Starting point is 01:05:21 Vanessa gets up early, right? At a god awful hour. This is 5 5 45 and this morning she shows me look at this and she shows me the picture of the sunrise this morning and she says to me I might have ugly cried because the picture was beautiful and that is kind of like if you can grasp what I'm saying is appreciating and understanding just the beauty of the sunrise. And looking at that and being just grateful about a sunrise. So often we're not grateful unless we're getting the car of our dreams, the house, or the baby that we've so longed for. No, the appreciation begins in the small things, and then it grows to being able to understand how the big things actually are truly like wowser moments, right?
Starting point is 01:06:17 Because the sky was actually way more valuable than any gift that God could physically plant in your hands. Although we don't appreciate it. You know why? It's free. I might just ugly cry right now. It's what? I might just ugly cry right now. It's free and we don't see the value in that.
Starting point is 01:06:34 But if we understood what it took for that to come into existence, or even our body, like when I did the ladies conference, just understanding what the body, what it does and how it operates and what it can do and then what it doesn't do, all to benefit us. Like we don't understand and we should be thankful in those little things, but we take them for granted unless our health is at risk. And then all of a sudden. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:04 May I share? Yeah, I want to share too. Go ahead. Sorry, sorry sorry six minutes and 28 seconds but we're okay you told you you were just talking about the the gifts like the material things um so i was talking to the abbots this morning deb and bailey about just design stuff in the house and one of the girls mentioned that the hurricane turned out to be one of our biggest blessings. But I said it wasn't the hurricane. And it also wasn't a coincidence because that was the moment I broke and just gave it up. I said, I'm not going to turn from you. I'm going to follow you until the end.
Starting point is 01:07:41 And he has done nothing but give back to us. And now we're building this home. It's beautiful. Yeah. Everything goes up. But do you have a decision to quit or to push through? And listen, everybody knows how I feel about a quitter.
Starting point is 01:07:54 No quitting. You don't quit. Never. But she's pregnant, so that's part of the reason why she's crying. Vanessa, on the other hand, does not need to be pregnant. Does not need to be on her ladies' days. She's just going to cry. Period.
Starting point is 01:08:10 Sarah. Sarah. So bringing it back around to the Catholic faith. Can we circle back? Yeah. Let's circle back. The Our Father prayer. This actually is the way that Jesus taught us to pray.
Starting point is 01:08:25 However, they took it and turned it into like our father who are in heaven. Hello, be thy name. And it's just like rope, like repeating it. But if you go through that prayer and you start out with like, hallowed be thy name. God, you are so holy. I offer myself as a living sacrifice. Thy kingdom come.
Starting point is 01:08:46 Thy will be done. See, the thing is, is the Lord's prayer. The Lord said, when they said, how do we pray? Jesus said, this is how you should pray. So when Jesus says, this is how you should pray, it encompasses from the top to the bottom, everything that needs to be done, from worship to requests to knowing who you are, like as it is in heaven, whatever you're walking through
Starting point is 01:09:11 and whatever you're believing for, if it's not in heaven, then it's yours. If sickness isn't in heaven, then sickness does not belong inside of you. So that means sickness, you can have whatever heaven has, right? So if it's not in heaven, then don't worry about it. If it's in heaven, grab it, take it. It's yours on this earth. It's on earth as it is in heaven. So whatever exists in heaven exists for you here on earth. You have to believe it. You have to speak it. That's it. It's so simple. We speak it that's it it's so simple we make it so
Starting point is 01:09:46 complicated because it's way easier to make things complicated because when they don't come to pass then it was complicated instead of oopsie it's my fault tell you i'm gonna leave i'm a little girly over there do you pray tal no i'm just kidding yes i, I do. All right. Speak to us, girl. Well, I mean, I started doing the list thing also, and that's definitely changed a lot. But I make sure I start with thankfulness, and then I go over my list. But I really make sure that I don't lose track. I don't fade off and think about something else. I really make sure that when I'm praying, it's like my full heart is into it. Yeah, you're focused.
Starting point is 01:10:26 Yeah. Yeah. It's super easy to become distracted and focused. Unfocused. Is it unfocused? Yeah. Unfocused. It's very, very easy.
Starting point is 01:10:35 Yeah. I'm not going to ask the little two chicky-poos over there. I've already embarrassed them enough. I'm not sure they even pray right now. Just kidding. They better be. Sarah, they better be. On that note, thank you so much for joining in.
Starting point is 01:10:52 We will say a real quick prayer. We'll do a salvation call real fast. If you don't know Jesus, listen, if you're Catholic, you need to come to him right now in Jesus' name. Not in Mary's name. In Jesus' name. Let me help you. Let me help you. Let us help you.
Starting point is 01:11:10 Seriously, if you're Catholic and you're questioning everything, kudos for you for questioning things instead of just bulldozing things and saying, you know what, that's what I believe. I literally, back in the day when I was a youth group leader, I had two girls that, uh, we had made real big headway with. They were dating boys that they shouldn't have been dating. They were doing things that they shouldn't have been doing.
Starting point is 01:11:33 So we convinced them like, get your lives right. And they did. Okay. And then the boys wanted to break up with them and where they've thought we should break up with the boys wanted to break up with them, or they thought we should break up with the boys. And then the mother got mad, called me up, gave me what for, because she loved them. I did not disclose what her daughters were doing.
Starting point is 01:11:57 Just thought to myself, man, you really want to be a grandma early in life, but whatever. She was very angry. And you know what the girls told me? Because they grew up Catholic. They said, you know what? We're going to go back to the Catholic church because we can do this there and we can't do this here. So we're going to go do that. And I think to myself, do you think that the two faiths are the same? And do you think because one's okay that it's going to be okay on the day of judgment. It doesn't work like that.
Starting point is 01:12:26 And so one's permissive, one's not permissive. And people will say, well, we're very strict. I don't see it. I see in some ways, but even like worshiping the Pope, like Catholics do, it's very dangerous. And that Pope ain't a good guy. And if you look at end times prophecy, a lot is thought to be coming from the Roman Catholic Church.
Starting point is 01:12:48 So enough said about that. If you need Jesus, say this prayer with me really quick. And then you're going to have one heck of a great weekend. If you don't know him or if you've known him and walked away, let's get it right. Let's get it fixed because today's your day. Heavenly Father, I come to you right now. I thank you for what you did on the cross. I thank you for dying for my sins. I ask you to forgive me of my sins. And from this day forward, I will live for you. Whatever you say to do, I will do. Whatever you say not to do, I will not And when I die I will go and live with you forever
Starting point is 01:13:27 In Jesus mighty name we pray Amen I will see you guys on Wednesday Listen I knew it I even said to the guy who was working on my house Doing some contractors work today I was like I am not going to get past this first question
