Starting point is 00:00:00 real talk real talk welcome to the hope hotline it is wednesday february 16th yes yes all day i think i was supposed to file my taxes yesterday me too too. I did not. Me either. I can't. Listen. I can't because of the stupid insurance. What are we going to do?
Starting point is 00:00:32 I don't know. I think my accountant's trying to figure that out right now. Same. I had to remind him. Yeah. Like, it's tax season. Same. But I had to remind him, like, you know, I still haven't filed my taxes yet. Same.
Starting point is 00:00:44 He was like, oh, yeah. And I had no write-offs given to him. I was leaving for Vegas. Oh, gosh. Yeah. And I'm like, I don't even know what to do. He didn't even have all my documents. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:00:56 So I'm doing it on the 14th. Okay. Yeah, because he's like, Hope, I don't think we can wait any longer. I'm like, we are still owed money. We're in litigation. He's like, this is crazy don't think we can wait any longer. We are still owed money. We're in litigation. It's like, this is crazy. I know the Dexters are just like us. They probably already filed knowing them.
Starting point is 00:01:11 Yeah, of course they did. Not me, baby. He's like, we can amend everything. And I'm like, oh, I know. That's what I'm afraid of. I don't want to amend. Me either. Me either.
Starting point is 00:01:23 That's a hot mess. It is. It's annoying. So what do you think is going to happen to us? I don't know. I me either me either that's a hot mess it is it's annoying so so what do you think's gonna happen to us i don't know i told i called the secretary today um sometime this morning i was like just because he didn't answer i mean he's not taking my call yeah because he's busy because it's tax season and everybody's turn right so i said well you just let him know i'm not upset i'm not bothered and i'm not scared. Right. She started laughing. Nobody seems worried.
Starting point is 00:01:47 I know. Exactly. What are you going to do? Lock me up? Right. You know what's going to happen if you lock me up? I already thought about this. You're going to lock me up?
Starting point is 00:01:54 Yeah. I'll just start winning the lost. Exactly. There's plenty in there. Listen, Satan will get me out of there so fast because I'm going to start saving people left and right. Amen. Amen.
Starting point is 00:02:04 I got an agenda everywhere I go. Everywhere. Because this big mouth here got a lot to say to a lot of people. And I'll be cursing them while I'm in there. Not with curse words. Just cursing. What do you think they could do to us, Tracy? Nothing. I know.
Starting point is 00:02:20 Good luck. That's what I have to say. Charge me interest. I know. Right. That's exactly. Whatever. That's my I have to say. Charge me interest. I know, right. That's exactly, that's my thought. An extra penalty. I've already spent all my money. I spent, not all my money,
Starting point is 00:02:32 but I spent my money on fixing my house. Right. So when they give me my money back, I'll just put it towards the interest. Right. I mean, what are you going to do? Exactly.
Starting point is 00:02:41 I don't care. Same, same. I don't sweat those things. God's got it. Amen. I just don't. Like same i don't sweat those things god's got it amen i just don't like i was i was like i'm not gonna sweat this back in the day when i was way younger i'd be like i'll be like oh my gosh what's gonna happen to me i'm like what can they do to me right i don't really care same life's life's rough in the big city. A big shout out to my girly, Karen.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Hey, Karen. She's watching live. I love you too. She just texted me. I love you. I love you too. I love you too. You will be missed this Sunday.
Starting point is 00:03:18 You're traveling. So let's see this. Now we, listen, I, Vanessa, her and her husband are big time instigators to boil me and tom's blood wait what yeah you you like to boil our blood like like get us get us churning like getting us irritated yeah so i get this text from you know how we were talking about how the Ark churches are, did I name a name on that? Did I name a name who, the big time preacher who started this?
Starting point is 00:03:53 I never did. You didn't. I probably shouldn't. I probably won't. But it's one everybody knows. Everybody knows. Big time. Talks like this.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Oh my gosh. Is that bad no where's muscle shirts i don't even know i mean well he's muscular so i know why but inappropriately like a lot of v-necks oh yeah a lot of v-necks with a lot of short sleeves with a lot of tight shirts. And so many people love this guy, which every time somebody tells me, did you see or I love this man, I just want to go bleh. Because I'm like, are you kidding me? I know. Like, your discernment level is pretty low. Yeah, I know. Like, am I wrong?
Starting point is 00:04:41 No. Like, how you don't discern this guy is not good. Right. You need to, like this guy is not good. Right. You need to like tap into some fasting. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. But so Vanessa sees on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:04:57 What's that guy's name? Chris. Oh, what's his name? John. Does it say? Yeah. It's John Chris. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:05:04 God bless. Yeah. She's Tracy's John Chris. Thank you. God bless. Yeah, yeah. Tracy's got the video prepped. Oh, yeah, that guy. So Vanessa sends me this video to validate what I was saying to you guys. I think it was last week about in churches, part of the growth track for the associated related churches is to train people to stand up and clap like like seals sorry clap like trained seals because they are they're trained to stand up in the congregation
Starting point is 00:05:37 start a momentum of cheering for the pastor and people think we're crazy but it is in their manual it is in their growth track and they assign people in the congregation to do this very thing and john chris just proves it in this video play it for me tracy hired gun churches pay me uh to come in during the pastor's sermons and just give a little bit of uh you know verbal affirmation just to get the crowd going. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I mean, it's very simple, honestly. Have you ever seen a pastor post a sermon on Instagram and you see a bunch of people in the audience go, mmm, preach, yes. I mean, that's us. That's good. That's good. That's good. I mean, I've gone all the way up to the,
Starting point is 00:06:27 this pastor on fire today. Listen, building a new church campus, trying to recruit more volunteers, hire me and I will get that crowd behind your message. We get results, plain and simple. I had a pastor call me last year, said he was doing a sermon series on giving. I sat through that whole sermon series and verbally affirmed that whole thing. And well, that's his house now. So I mean, he's... I wasn't lying. No. It is truth. And anybody who's been in an arch church that's that follows the script real well knows or they didn't know that those were plants and i just told you right now that there are plants they are all plants it's all apart it's pretty pathetic but yeah thank you vanessa i was i think i was getting on the plane ride home and i bust bust out laughing. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:07:25 It made me giggle. I was like, there you go. It's true. It's true, guys. It's true. I know. That's what's very scary. It's very scary. So associated related church.
Starting point is 00:07:34 I'm glad you did that. Yeah. Associated related churches. There in this area alone, there's over 30 of them. Not all of them are named. Some of them are Assemb 30 of them. Just, not all of them are named. Some of them are Assemblies of God. Some of them are Methodists. Some of them are Baptists, like this church was Baptist,
Starting point is 00:07:52 and it was an Ark Church. So they bought all of its curriculum. It bought all of its sermons, everything through the Ark, Associated Related Churches website, sermon.com. So if you think I'm kidding and you don't believe me if you want to know if your church is actually an associated related church then what you need to do is whatever the sermon series is that's being preached google it and you'll probably find out it's been bought and paid for and the pastor did not sit and ponder and pray and read and listen to the Holy Spirit to find out what he needed to preach to his congregation.
Starting point is 00:08:31 He actually just pulled it up offline, planned probably the year's worth of sermons, bought and paid for through sermon.com, because that's what a lot of them do. And there's reasons why they use that. I'm not going to go into it, but it's not good, people. So if you're in an associated or related church's denomination, or if the denomination is usually in their curriculum, get the heck out. Get the heck out. And I can't tell you how many of them are around here. If you drive past Marquis and they have the sermon series out, just type it in.
Starting point is 00:09:09 You'll be shocked. Yep. There's over 30 of them around here, though. It's pretty, pretty sad. It's pretty sad. Next up, you want to talk about this? Well, Heather just wants you to know that she has not filed her taxes as well. We can't file until 2022 is filed per our accountant.
Starting point is 00:09:25 So she's going to be in jail with us. We're all going together. But the problem is this. When it comes right down to it, when it comes right down to it, you and Heather are actually a first couple. I'm going to be out there. Somebody's going to try and make me their woman.
Starting point is 00:09:43 And I'm going to have a problem with that because I'm the guy. This is going to be out there Somebody's going to try and make me their woman And I'm going to have a problem with that Because I'm the guy This is going to be interesting Heather's already got dibs on you She's been doing photos with you for a really long time It's very true A relationship I know, we do
Starting point is 00:10:00 I'm out cold Listen, I think we should have a reality show In there I say we're have a reality show in there. I say we're fearsome threesome. Let's just do a three. Let's just do it. There you go. Listen.
Starting point is 00:10:09 Sister wives. There we go. Sister wives in jail. Except the problem is Heather and I are going to vie for power. Yeah, that's true. I'm telling you, it would be very interesting. She's in the background like. Like crying.
Starting point is 00:10:21 I'm not going to be the girl in the relationship. I'm going to run the show. And Heather's the same way. This is going to be a problem. a relationship I'm going to run the show And Heather's the same way This is going to be a problem We probably won't stay in very long So we'll be alright Vanessa's going to bail us out Because her taxes are done
Starting point is 00:10:34 I'll bail you out We'll only be in there for a short period of time We'll just win some souls Actually I don't know if my taxes are done Oh my gosh That's right Vanessa does nothing win some we'll win some souls and actually i don't know if my taxes are oh my god oh that's right that means she's going to jail nothing yeah she does nothing in the relationship when it comes to administrative take it easy over there you go okay do you do any paperwork do you do anything with the checking account do you do you do anything with your 401 this sounds like okay
Starting point is 00:11:03 then again you do nothing administrative you 401? This sounds like goals. Okay, then again, you do nothing administrative, you know nothing. This sounds like goals, actually. I wouldn't mind to be that person. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, choose this life. I know. It chose me. It chose you.
Starting point is 00:11:14 She ain't fighting it, nor is she complaining. Smart woman. Smart woman. See, here's the thing. Like, for me, I love I kind of, I love my hands all in it and getting dirty with it. I know you do. I know.
Starting point is 00:11:31 I don't mind it at all. And Tom doesn't mind it being like that. I just, I just have to report to him every single thing. And if he doesn't like it, then he says change it. And then I change it. There you go.
Starting point is 00:11:46 But I mean, I don't mind like being the administrator. Yeah. And then him being him calling the shots. Right. And in Vanessa's case, I don't know. Her husband is the administrator and calls the shots.
Starting point is 00:11:58 Yeah. And she's fine with that. Absolutely. I like doing paperwork and stuff and the details. I like it. I don't mind being bossed around except for in another relationship that I'm going to be the guy. But I'm just saying, only if it's a girl on girl would I be the man. But if it's a guy and a girl, I always take the submissive role.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Totally makes sense. Yes, 100% listen I I never mind I'm just gonna say I don't mind I don't mean I don't mind being bossed around I like doing the detail stuff yeah so for me is that that doesn't bother you like administrator right no I don't like it at all you don don't? No. It's terrible, but I do it. Oh, Heather and me, we both love it. Jer hates it even more, so I just do it. I hate adulting.
Starting point is 00:12:53 I hate every part of it. Oh, I love it. Yes. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Thank you, mom. I love it. Mom knows. Her mom confirmed that.
Starting point is 00:12:59 Right there. Tracy hates adulting, period. Yep. My mom knows. Oh, I love it. No. See your shirt? Nope. That's me. I mom knows. Oh, I love it. No. See your shirt? Nope.
Starting point is 00:13:07 That's me. That's my roommate. That was for me. Yep. I did it right. Yep. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:14 I love it. 100% true. No. It doesn't bother me a bit. Yeah. I think it's fun. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:20 But because I like to be creative and crap like that. Okay. But you're creative. I love being creative. Not in adulting. Not in like this, this realm, this like taxes and like bills and following up and making phone calls.
Starting point is 00:13:35 That's the problem. The phone calls. I love all that. Yeah. I do love all that. Like it's a goal. Like if I can't get to something or do something and it's like an obstacle. Yeah. Because for me, it's like a faith thing. Now I'm implementing faith. Okay, good. Like now I'm
Starting point is 00:13:51 going to see how God makes it all work out. See, for me, it's so much fun. That's good. It is. It's perspective. So it's a great perspective. It's super lightened to get to the other side. Yeah, your warrior mentality. It's right there. Very honorable. Very honorable. Oh my gosh. Shut up. So spiritual.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Yeah, I'm super spiritual. So religious. I'm really all about justice. That's true. I'm really about, if there's an injustice, I'm all about getting justice. Absolutely. That's what I care about. Yep. I'm really about, if there's an injustice, I'm all about getting justice. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:14:26 That's what I care about. Yep. And Tom's like, just let him have it. Yeah. Like, no. Right. It's the principle. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:34 Let me do it. I can see it. Tom's like, I don't really care. I know. Too much work. I'm putting on more paint. Yeah, exactly. That's me, girls.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Yep. I'm all in. I love it. Like Rambo it up. Rambo it up. Okay, do you want to talk about this next thing? I do. Aw, this is so, I was so happy to get this.
Starting point is 00:14:54 I know, this is so sweet. Validation again. Validation. Yes. So Cindy won the Hope's Favorite Things at Christmastime, and her and her husband went to dinner twice with a gift card. No kids. And she said, I could only get the dessert the
Starting point is 00:15:10 second time since I was so full the first time, which was too close to the end of the fast for me to eat that much. But she gives it a 10. There you go. That's her 10. There you go, people. That's what it is. But you know what? I find it a little disturbing.
Starting point is 00:15:26 I noticed in that picture what they did is they covered her ice cream and her cake with some kind of caramel or whatever. I don't know what that is. Or maybe it's chocolate. I think it's chocolate. How am I not getting that on mine? I'm disturbed by that because I have gotten it every single time and that's not been on my ice cream nor has it been on my cake.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Maybe she asked for it. Are you kidding me? She's not going to ask for that. She wouldn't even know. I would if I was ordering something. Do you know that you're supposed to ask for chocolate on it? No. You never got it. She's never gotten it before. How would she know?
Starting point is 00:16:04 I've never gotten it before but I would ask know? You wouldn't know. Hey, listen. God bless Talia. God bless you. But I'm going to just say this. Where's Cindy when you need it? It's chocolate. You would never ask for chocolate on there because you wouldn't know. And how do I say this nicely? Just say it meanly.
Starting point is 00:16:21 You're such a dingbat sometimes. It's not going to happen. Okay. Cindy says it's chocolate and then favor she's got favor it's her waitress or waiter i know it i'm telling you she she gets the hook up that whole family they're just living their best life right now i love it they are well i'm too well What's up with that? Maybe it's a new addition. Maybe it's a new addition now.
Starting point is 00:16:49 Maybe next time you go. Listen, people. I'm ashamed to say I was there recently. That did not happen. Oh, that's really sad. Now I'm kind of sad for you. It's been like three, four weeks. It's probably new. It's been like three, four weeks It's probably new
Starting point is 00:17:06 It's not new I wish Next time you go ask for it I will ask for it next time I'm going to say can you sprinkle a little chocolate For the VIP Do they know I have like five of these
Starting point is 00:17:22 Gift cards to buy for people That have blessed me I've got five of these gift cards to buy for people that have blessed me. I've got five of them to buy. I keep forgetting to buy them for these people. But you would think if I'm buying that much, I should get a little bit of something. I keep plugging Longhorn. I keep plugging Longhorn. I'm a Dean Betts, too. That's why I can say that You do. Oh, jeez. You do. I'm a Dean bet, too.
Starting point is 00:17:45 That's why I can say that about her. Yeah. Same, same. Apple don't fall far from that tree. Oh, my gosh. And I didn't give birth to her, but pretty much known her since. Oh, there's. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:54 I forgot something. And my son saved my life. God bless you, my son. You saved. Okay. You want to do the. Do you want to do the like, share, whatever? Yes.
Starting point is 00:18:04 And thanks for sending that picture, girl. Yeah. Thanks for saying, thanks for doing that. I love that. Yeah, me too. Okay. So we're going to be on Facebook as always. We've got like 17 people on right now.

Starting point is 00:18:36 I know. So we got Heather still hanging out with us. And Tara's on there. And you guys, I know you're not going to switch over to Rumble. But I'm going to say it anyway. Switch over to Rumble. And then we've got all the people over in Rumble. So we've got KK, it's her birthday. Happy birthday, KK. Galena's on and Cindy's on and Logan and Sean and my mom.
Starting point is 00:18:54 We got Kayla. Who else? Shaylin. Who else is on here? Sean, Shan. We got a bunch of people on today. So glad you guys popped on and thanks for being on Rumble. Got a bunch of people on Rumble too. We got YouTube. If you're watching on YouTube, just let us know. Comment on there. Rumble, you pretty much can do what you're doing right now. There's a live chat. I think you have to log in through an email just
Starting point is 00:19:18 to be part of the conversation, but there is the opportunity to also be in the comments too. So, excuse me. And then we've got Black Robe. This one is always available for you guys. If you're ever having issues with Rumble, I know some of you guys sometimes say that there's issues going on,
Starting point is 00:19:34 but you know what? Give it another chance. Just give it another chance. Try and download the app. Do all the things that you can possibly do. If you want, you can head over to the audio podcast. Usually later that evening or the next day, it'll be pulled up for you guys. And again, you can download that and have that available anytime you want to watch. And then we have, you guys need us, or you need to send us in the questions that you have. As you're listening to Hope answer questions, I'm sure there's something that comes up in your mind, maybe a different perspective or a different verse that kind of like connects to the question. So if you have a question, just send it in.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Ask Hope at Hope Hotline dot com. And then lastly, we have our merch. And so we've got the mug, the spoon and the UBU T-shirt. We are still waiting on our new hat to come in. And so we're excited to show you guys where that's at. So you can go to foundation church fl.com you can click shop and as always the tlp gear is in there and then foundation church gear is in there as well and you can just purchase everything if you're here on a sunday
Starting point is 00:20:36 all this stuff is also available in our merch store that was fast i know i tried even to even to go slow during the social graphic, but we got all of our stuff. Keep sending in those questions, though. Yeah. Because listen, I'm going to tell you, if you don't send in the questions,
Starting point is 00:20:53 I might do another teaching. Just because. People love that teaching, though. Just going to let you know, Heather said she also got the chocolate when she went. That's Heather rubbing it in rubbing it in rubbing it in thank you heather that blesses me wow well i'm gonna keep your child i have her right yes i'm keeping her she's mine's mine. She'd probably be good with that.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Oh, my gosh. Whatever. Okay. Okay. But we have lots of questions. We do have lots of questions, and I'm working through them. If for some reason, I just need to clarify this. If for some reason you sent in a question like two months ago,
Starting point is 00:21:42 and we still haven't answered it, resend it. Because somehow, some way, we did not get it. We don't want you to think we're not answering it because we don't know the answer. It's just we're not answering it probably because we didn't get it. Yeah, and you can always reach out social media too if you feel like you're not, for some reason, the email's not working or whatever. On Sunday, if you see me, just come up and say something.
Starting point is 00:22:00 But we want to get your questions answered for sure. Well, plus this is a two process. So the question goes to her, to Tracy, her. And then it comes to me. So sometimes she may have sent it to me, but I may not have gotten it, which has happened. So if for some reason you're still waiting for your question to be answered and it's been like two months, resend that baby. Yeah. question to be answered and it's been like two months yeah resend that baby yeah because it should it takes me like a month to two months to get through a lot of them so um all right ready
Starting point is 00:22:33 to go ready to go all right let's do this okay the first one is i'm looking for an explanation or clarification for the romans 10 13 when it says everyone who calls on the name of the lord will be saved but then what came to mind is matthew 7 21 through it says everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But then what came to mind is Matthew 7.21-23. Not everyone who calls out to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day, many will say to me, Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and perform many miracles in your name. But I will reply, never knew you. Get away from me, you who It's confusing to me. Now, this is the person that was scripture.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Now, he's coming back and saying, it's confusing to me that it seems like one says everyone who calls on him, Lord, will be saved. But then it says the opposite. I'm confused. I would be confused too. If you, this is, and this is not a bust on whoever wrote this question. It's just a great example of why it's super important to study things out.
Starting point is 00:23:37 And sometimes you go to the Bible and you look at the studies down at the bottom and it gives you the study Bible part of it, and you're still like, I still don't understand. That's where commentaries come in, and it's super important to use a commentary. Or go to the historian, which is one like Josephus. I always use, so, ah, I just hit my elbow. Gotta love the funny bone. I always use, when I look at historians,
Starting point is 00:24:12 I always go to Josephus, because he was actually present for a lot of things, and he's great knowledge, and it's super accurate. Okay, then the commentary that I almost exclusively go to is Matthew Henry. You can understand him. It's kind of like, what's that? Is it first English is what they, old English? I think it's old English.
Starting point is 00:24:36 Sometimes it's a little, it's almost always where you can understand what he's saying. He spoke in old English. I think that's what they call it now when you're in school. Was First English. I don't know. It might not have been First English. I don't know. But it's Old English, so some of it you're going to be like,
Starting point is 00:24:56 well, we don't talk like that anymore, or we don't talk like that at all. That is true. It's just like we don't talk in King James either, but you still can understand it to a certain extent. Some people can't understand it at all. That is true. It's just like we don't talk in King James either, but you still can understand it. To a certain extent, some people can't understand it at all, but overall, you can understand it. So let's look at Romans 10, 13. And when I explain it to you, you're going to be like, oh, that makes sense. But unless you study it out, you would have never figured it
Starting point is 00:25:24 out. Okay. And a lot of times people are newer in their walks or they don't understand how to study things. That's what's great about this podcast. It's to help show and reveal things that you might not have known through the study. And then that'll spur you on to study too. Okay. So Romans 10, 13, the King James says, for whoever calls on the name of the
Starting point is 00:25:46 Lord shall be saved. If you study it out, Paul was saying that in that specific thing, leave that verse up for me. Okay. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. So what Paul was saying specifically there is he was saying, because if you remember, Peter was to preach to, he was the apostle to the Jews, right? And Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles. So what Paul is saying, whether you're Jew or Gentile, if you call on the name of the Lord, whoever it is, if you're a Gentile or if you're a Jew, whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. He was saying there's no difference, that it's not just for the Jewish people anymore. God doesn't just hear the Jewish people. God sent Jesus Christ to this earth to win the lost for everyone that's in mankind.
Starting point is 00:26:41 So if you're a human, you have the availability to you to call on the Lord and to be saved. And so it's not really specifically like going to your question. Your question was that you're confused about, you need to clarify, clarification, because it seems like Matthew 7 contradicts that. Well, Matthew 7 is not even, we're going to go and look at that, but I'm going to read Colossians 3.11, which in the New King James Version confirms what I just wrote in Romans. But Matthew's got nothing to do with what we just read in Romans. There are two separate things. Paul is speaking to everyone and saying everyone has access to God now, not just the Jewish people. Does that make sense over there? Yeah. Okay. Colossians 3.11, New King James
Starting point is 00:27:41 Version says, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all in all. So he is for everyone. That's what that is saying. So Jesus is available to all who call on his name, and they have the availability to be saved. Matthew 7, 21 through 23. We're going to read the scripture really quickly because we just read it before and we're going to break this one down. Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven. But that's not because that's not because of anything other than sin. That's not because they didn't call on his name. Well, some of them called on his name. Some of them didn't, but we're going to break that down even more.
Starting point is 00:28:27 But he who does the will of my father in heaven, many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, we have having not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name and done many wonders in your name. And that I will declare to them, I never knew you depart from me. You who practice lawlessness. That's new King James version. I think it's King James says iniquity. It might be NIV that says that, which means sin. Lawlessness is sin. Iniquity also means sin.
Starting point is 00:28:52 So if you break that down in the study notes, Lord, the word Lord here means more than merely sir or master, since Jesus is the one who makes the final decision about a person's eternal destiny. And a lot of people don't realize that. God's not gonna be the judge. God's not at the final judgment. God doesn't do that. That's Jesus. Jesus is the judge.
Starting point is 00:29:17 So he is more than a sir or a master. He's actually the judge. If you look at the words, does the will of my father, this is the deciding factor as to who enters the kingdom. So here's the thing. Everyone has the ability to go to heaven because we just read in Romans how everyone has access to be able to call on the name of the Lord to be saved.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Everybody has that. Not everybody's going to do that. So let's remove the ones that say, I have no interest in God. So they're off to the left, right? And then you got the ones to the right that say, I do. I do want to call on the name of the Lord to be saved.
Starting point is 00:30:02 This is where Matthew comes in. So when Jesus said, not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven. Now, if you're calling him Lord, Lord, that means you've had a relationship to him. And this is basically a warning that Jesus is saying to people who want to have a relationship with him,
Starting point is 00:30:30 who are seeking him out, maybe who actually have been saved based on what we're reading. Because it says, many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? These are people who are actively saved, actively doing the work of the Lord. Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name, and done many wonders in your name? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you depart from me, you who practice lawlessness. Now, these people were actually saved because they were actually doing the work of the Lord. And you sit there and go, well, how in the world can you not go to heaven
Starting point is 00:31:11 if that's the case? I'll give you examples or an example, because I want to get past just, I'm at 30 minutes right now. The Lord has parameters for us to, to, um, live our lives by. Um, he has clear instruction in the Bible that, um, if you live like this, you'll not inherit the kingdom of heaven. Okay. So some of us, um, some of us will go, well, how is it that you can perform miracles, you can speak prophetic words over people? Because your gifts and callings are irrevocable, right? I have actually been under pastors who are pastoring churches who preach phenomenal messages, but that's because they have a gift.
Starting point is 00:32:05 It doesn't mean that they're actually anointed though, because you can be gifted and charming and have a lot of knowledge and it all be done in your own might versus the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Because all the while they were preaching and using the gift that God had given them, they were having an affair. And if you're in adultery, you're not going to heaven. That's the facts. So these people will say, Lord, Lord, I did all these things in your name. All the while they're committing fraud. Maybe they're, maybe they are cheating the church, defrauding the church, taking money. Maybe they're having an affair. Maybe they're a liar or a cheat.
Starting point is 00:32:49 It doesn't matter. There's people that walk in prophecy, and they're out there gossiping while they're a prophet. It doesn't matter. Some of the meanest people I've ever met are the people who are very, very emotionally driven during worship. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:33:13 Like, they speak in tongues. They're weeping uncontrollably. They say all the right things. They do all the right things in the building, but then they get outside of the church and they act like the devil. And this is where John 14, 15 clearly says, if you love me, keep my commandments. Those who love God, those who love Jesus, keep his commandments. If you do not keep his commandments, now this is where we part ways with certain denominations because there are certain denominations
Starting point is 00:33:53 that clearly say you can't lose your salvation. Well, then how does Matthew 7, 21 through 23 exist? They'll say, well, you were never saved to begin with, some of them. Again, how does Matthew 7, 21 through 23 exist? If you were never saved, then why are you doing all these things in his name? It makes no sense to me. I don't understand it. I don't understand the theology because I see it nowhere in scripture where it's grounded and confirmed. I see scripture after scripture that basically say that you can be told, depart from me, you worker of iniquity. All the while you're doing these things in the Lord's
Starting point is 00:34:37 name. You can't go to heaven if you're living in sin. It clearly says throughout scripture that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. That was said to the believer. That wasn't said to the lost. Why does the lost care? They already know they're not going to heaven. Do you understand what I'm saying? It absolutely, rationally, it's like telling me that it's a rational thought.
Starting point is 00:35:07 It's like everything we're experiencing right now in the world where we're being told that the election wasn't stolen. When we can see somebody putting in ballot, one ballot, the same person, the same ballot over and over and over again, but the election's not stolen. This is the same rationale to me that that theology, that doctrine teaches that makes absolutely no sense to me when the word of God over and over and over again says, you can't go to heaven if you're living in sin. It's not possible. Unrepentant sin. Unrepentant sin and living like something is totally different than struggling with sin. Somebody who struggles with sin is someone that recognizes that they are doing this thing, that they don't want to do this thing, and they are fighting their flesh.
Starting point is 00:35:57 And every single time they do it, they know they've been defeated, and they correct it to try and get the victory. People who live in sin have succumbed to it. They don't care. And they're just going to do it because that's what they want. It's two different mindsets. Two different mindsets. So I hate to say it.
Starting point is 00:36:22 I mean, I don't hate to say it. What am I saying? If you said the sinner's prayer and you've gone back and you're living like you never said the sinner's prayer, or maybe you said the sinner's prayer, but you didn't mean it, then that would be true,
Starting point is 00:36:34 that you were never saved to begin with. And there's a lot, I feel like there's a lot of people when they say that sinner's prayer that it really meant nothing to them. It was just a moment where they felt conviction. And then five minutes later, like, eh, whatever. So I don't believe you were ever saved to begin with. And then there are people who actually, it's like the parable of the sower
Starting point is 00:36:56 and the different seeds that fall on different ground. That is basically saying that you can lose your salvation. And that is a, that's a parable that people disregard and just ignore. But the only way that you don't fall back into sin is you don't put yourself into temptation. You keep yourself away from temptation. If you're an alcoholic and you've gotten saved and you know that you can't be an alcoholic because a drunkard doesn't go to heaven,
Starting point is 00:37:24 you don't put yourself in temptation. You don't go to a party that has drinks. You don't go to a bar where they serve drinks. You don't even walk down the aisle of where the beer is at the grocery store. Like you keep yourself away from all those things. There's so many other sins that we could talk about. But again, if you're a gossip, then you don't go to the people that you normally used to gossip with. You stay away from them. And you keep your every thought that you're,
Starting point is 00:37:54 every word that you're about to say before you say it, you seriously think, is this something that will take me down a road where I'm gossiping? If it is, then I'm not talking. It might be that you have to become the most shallow of individuals and talk about the most surfacy of things
Starting point is 00:38:10 for a very long period of time until you can control your tongue. But it'd be worth it. It's just like Jesus said, cut off your arm. Take out your eye if it causes you to sin. It's that drastic that he was, Jesus was that serious. It's better for you to lose a limb or walk around with only, well, being blind than going, spending an eternity in hell. It'd be far
Starting point is 00:38:35 better for you to lose those limbs and go to heaven. And I'm not advocating people taking their eyeballs out and cutting off their arms. I'm just saying, bless you, Tracy. I'm just saying it's that serious. Like you need to take sin that serious instead of saying, well, I said a sinner's prayer so I can now live however I want to. That is nowhere in the word. And you are taking a big chance that some man that taught you that doctrine didn't get it wrong. Open up your Bible, start reading it for yourself, because I think you're going to be freaked out when you find out that you can't do it. The biggest thing is, is let's write down these scriptures, because we are warned heavily about where we walk and the roads that we take.
Starting point is 00:39:23 Okay, Matthew 7, 13 through 14, the New Living Translation says it best. You can enter God's kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad and its gate is wide for many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult and only a few ever find it. So that means that most people will not go to heaven and most people will go to hell. So if you feel like that you can live
Starting point is 00:39:55 however you want to and whatever kind of way you think is okay and you don't have it in the word. If you don't have scripture to back up that, I always, I call it loosey-goosey Christianity. If you have scripture that back up that you can live a loosey-goosey Christianity, then by means, live that way. But if you can't find it in scripture for yourself, not some man and a doctrine, because doctrines mean nothing. A man created those.
Starting point is 00:40:29 If you don't have the scripture, don't live like that. Because otherwise, it is extremely, extremely risky to live like that. And when you stand before the judgment seat of Christ and have to, you know, it's a heaven and hell thing. And if by chance you are sentenced to hell, you don't want, you don't, Jesus is not going to care. And you're not going to be able to say, well, my pastor told me that. And you know what Jesus is going to say? That was your responsibility to know. You don't listen to somebody else.
Starting point is 00:41:11 It is our responsibility to take our Christian walk in our own hands, not to listen to some man tell us what the Bible says. It is your job to find out what the Bible says, and it is your job to find out what the Bible says, and it is your job to find out how you're supposed to live. Not from some man or some woman. Be very, very careful. People get it wrong all the time. And if people don't have scripture to back up what they're telling you, which I just gave you how many? Five scriptures? If people don't have scripture to back up what they're saying, don't listen to them. Very scary. Next question. You good? Yeah. Okay. How do you discipline see like my kids,
Starting point is 00:42:06 I don't know like what, I wish I knew like what problem you were having. So sometimes if you guys want to just like be a little bit more like use a lot more words with your questions, sometimes that would help. Um, my kids at one really weren't bad. They weren't bad they weren't i mean tommy was in there talking chinese i don't even think he talked until he was like
Starting point is 00:42:32 18 months i don't even know what he was saying i didn't understand a daggum word he was saying so my kids were happy uh they didn't throw tantrums i I didn't allow tantrums because again, tantrums enable a child to have fits of rage. So, or teaches them to have fits of rage. It teaches them to be very selfish, selfishly motivated. And it's a dangerous thing to allow a kid to throw a tantrum. It grows into many, many things, many things. It teaches them to manipulate. Okay. Manipulation is not good guys. It's not cute. And we don't laugh at it, but I find that a lot of people, when they are like, um, raising their kids, if the kid does something inappropriate, they start laughing. And they laugh right in front of the kid.
Starting point is 00:43:27 It's not good. It's not good training. And it's dangerous for the future, just so you know. But when I had to deal with my kids, I would, if they did something, like if they kept reaching for something they shouldn't after I told them no, you have to remember they're one years old. They don't understand English that great. Your facial expressions usually show up. But, I mean, they still know how to manipulate, though.
Starting point is 00:43:55 A one-year-old definitely knows how to manipulate. They start manipulating at two and three months old, even like one. Because if they cry and they cry and cry, they learn that you pick them up, right? That's not good, guys. If you need to, a child needs to cry. First of all, it's very healthy for them to cry. And second of all, if they learn that every time
Starting point is 00:44:18 they do something, you jump, then they will do it all the time. It's not good. So you set the, I mean, you know, when a child is crying, you might not initially, but after like the second or third week, you know, the difference between a, a cry that means absolutely nothing, a cry that means I have a dirty diaper, a cry that means I'm so hungry. please feed me, to I just want to be picked up and I'm going to cry and cry and cry until I get what I want. I mean, you know the frantic ones and the ones that mean nothing. And you have to learn. And if you don't, learn them because you
Starting point is 00:44:58 will be twisted and turned and manipulated by your child. But I used to tap my kids' hands, not hard, but enough to let them know, no, no, no. That's not what you're doing. I'd literally be like, no, no, no. That's not what we do. They also have a thick diaper on. I mean, my kids were walking at 10 months. How old were your kids when they started walking, Tracy?
Starting point is 00:45:16 A year, closer to a year. What? Closer to a year. Closer to a year? They say the longer they take to walk, the smarter they are. My kids were walking at 10 months. I walked at 10 months. That might say something.
Starting point is 00:45:36 Tom, I think he was like 12 or 13 months. There's a difference. He's the smart one. Oh, my gosh. I've never heard that. Me either. Have you heard that one. Oh, my gosh. I've never heard that. Me either. Uh-huh. The longer, the longer.
Starting point is 00:45:46 Have you heard that, Tracy? No, never. Yep. That's what I was told, you know, back in the day. Don't get them to walk. Let them walk on their own because the longer that takes them to walk, the smarter they are. I would think it'd be me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:59 I mean, I tried to take my kids, I tried to take the knees right out from under them so that it would take them longer to walk. But it didn't work. Smart. Whatever. My poor Emma was walking in nine months. Oh, my gosh. That's so scary. The thing is, is the great dexterity.
Starting point is 00:46:17 Yeah. Not so smart up here. Yeah. She's a bright girl, though. So maybe she's the exception. Exception to the rule. She's a unicorn. Here's where I'mception to the rule. She's the unicorn. Yours were almost a year.
Starting point is 00:46:28 Tom, how old were you? I have no clue. That's a good question. That's a good question. How would you guys say to discipline? So today we have available. Oh, my gosh. The whole pot line spoon.
Starting point is 00:46:42 You can scan right there and purchase it online if you need to. It's available at the link below. gosh. The whole pot line spoon, you can scan right there and purchase it online if you need to. It's available at the link below. Okay. And just so you know, since it's a one-year-old and that spoon right there, you'll be getting arrested for child abuse. So you can come with us because we'll be there for tax fraud. We'll all be together. We'll all be together.'ll all be together one big happy family yeah you know what I what is that I put I usually just put my kids in time out we had a little like mat and every time I would just make them sit down because it's the the one thing they hated doing was being separated Kylie and Kenzie hated being separated from each other so I just make
Starting point is 00:47:21 them sit down they miss out on the fun for like a minute or two. And then, um, and Alison, the same thing. She just, she hated being away from me. So that was like the punishment. It was like, you have to be in a different room than me. And that was like the worst thing ever. So that's what we used to do. Like, um, because I mean, I mean, I would tap their butts cause they were a thick diaper and it would never be hard, but it was just enough to be like, wait a minute. What? What's going on? I don't like that. Okay. So, but legitimately, I mean, it's tapping. It's not like hard spanking.
Starting point is 00:47:52 Right. It's not because they're one. Right. They don't know. Right. But you need to start disciplining. You need to like, you can't just disregard. And the other thing is I would put them in the crib. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:01 Like if they were not listening and they kept doing what I said and defying me you're just gonna go sit in your crib yeah and a lot of times they fell asleep there you go win-win for me yeah I I have one scenario that I remember I was nursing Emma and she bit me was it three years old oh gosh. Less than a year at this time. How long did you breastfeed though? Oh man. So that people don't think I'm so bad. Oh, so actually
Starting point is 00:48:29 you don't know. Okay, so I nursed them until she was almost four. And that's just the reality of it. That's the reality. And she's what? That's the reality.
Starting point is 00:48:38 And I know people will have their opinions. But they're going to bust on me because I just made fun of you because of three. Yeah. I said that because legitimately she could have been three she she bit me and so i immediately
Starting point is 00:48:53 and so setting it's so normal though yeah it is setting the standard and so i knew i didn't want her to bite me yeah again so i popped her off yeah I said no really sternly I changed my voice I took her into her crib similar to you closed the door and left her alone for five minutes walked back in loved on her and then we just continued and I never had that issue ever again see that's the thing so i see that's a good way to handle it a lot what i did is because my kids spit me too um because they start getting teeth like around eight months right and they're teething yep they don't know any better but they can be taught right you can say well it, it was innocent. Okay, yeah, that's true. It was innocent, but I don't want to be a teething
Starting point is 00:49:47 ring for my child. So I'm like, okay, you can be innocent, but they still need... Yeah, well, there you go. That could have been dangerous. Maybe it was three. I can't remember. No, you said it was three. No, it wasn't four. I can swear you told me it was three.
Starting point is 00:50:04 I heard, yeah. I've never heard four before. I've heard three. No, I said it was three. No, it wasn't four. I can swear you told me it was three. I heard, yeah. I've never heard four before. I've heard three. No, I heard five. No. Never. No. Maybe that was somebody else.
Starting point is 00:50:13 I've never heard five. She was starting VBK. And we had a conversation. I sat Emma down and I said, girlfriend, it's time. And so we had a full-on conversation. But I teased her. I teased her, but she wasn't, like, it wasn't her meals. It was morning, naptime, and then right before bed.
Starting point is 00:50:35 Right. Yeah. She wasn't lifting my shirt in public. Yeah, which I know people. I'm very against. Yeah, I've known people that have been to a birthday party where the kid was four, running around, and decided that he was thirsty.
Starting point is 00:50:53 So he literally went over to his mother, lifted everything up and out, and began to eat. Tom was like, oh. He was like, what in the world? I'm like, okay, that's crazy. That's wild. That's wild. That's wild. That's wild.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Never seen anything like, but listen, if your kids lift up your shirt. That's the line. That's where I draw the line. Yeah. Maybe it's time. Maybe it's time. Cut the cord. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:17 I don't know. I mean, really, they say after the year, it's really not, they're not getting anything beneficial for it. It's just a bonding thing for the child and the mother. Do you know what I'm saying? Maybe you need to cut the cord. Bonding time is done in that,
Starting point is 00:51:34 as far as that goes. I don't know. But I think too, like, again, parenting's pretty tough because I was a hot mess with Tommy until he was almost three. I did not do it well.
Starting point is 00:51:51 Tom, I don't know how, but he instinctively, like, he just was such, he was so good from the very beginning. Always, like, never allowing them to get the best of him but also knowing when to just discipline them appropriately as necessary now me norma was never because by then i had figured it out but tommy i lost lots of battles with that kid i I was like, he ran me all over the place. As well as beat the tar out of lots of kids. I stopped going to the mom's groups. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:52:34 Because my son would tear people up. And then I would come home and I'd say to Tom, I'm like, he's beating the tar out of other kids. Like he's in another room and then they come out crying and it's always him. He's always the one, like he's got the truck in his hand and he went over their heads or he's always the one. And I'm like, I can't do not. He's like, uh, they had to have done something. He would never just, I'm like, he just did it. I'm telling you, they did it. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:53:05 They did nothing. These are sweet kids. It's all our kids. Like they saw me walking up the sidewalk and they're like, oh. Oh, my gosh. They came with that. You know, oh, he's here. I was the mom that showed up and everybody would be like, crap.
Starting point is 00:53:22 Oh, no. You know? So eventually I stopped going. But it's so funny because, let's see, we were at my sister's house for a birthday party or something like that. And Tom never believed me until Tommy took, like, you know, those ducks that go, you pull on a string and they make that noise? Well, Tommy took this duck by the string and they make that noise well Tommy took this duck and by the
Starting point is 00:53:48 string and went whack right on my nephew's head his like best friend now which they were best friends then but took him and whacked it over the head whacked him over the head and Tom was like and he jumped on him like a jaguar
Starting point is 00:54:04 but and my sister's like, no, no, no. He didn't mean it. And Tom's like, what are you talking about? He absolutely missed it. I'm like, there you go. That's the spawn right there. Oh, my gosh. Tommy.
Starting point is 00:54:17 Yes. He's a great kid, though, now. He is. But he gave me a run for my money. I stopped going to mom's groups and stuff like that just because I could not handle him. But then I was just telling, I think it was Magalas on, what night did I send you pictures, Tracy, of your brother? I was with Tracy's brother. Tuesday?
Starting point is 00:54:38 Tracy's brother's on Jonathan's board too. It's a small world. It really is. I know. Was that the 13th? Tuesday. Tuesday. It was Thursday.
Starting point is 00:54:49 So Thursday night, we're at dinner, and I was telling Magalas, my life changed with, and listen, there are good books out there. There really are. Like James Dobson has some really good, I read his Dare to Discipline, and then he has one that's called A Strong Willed Child. Get those books if you really want to know how to start out. But I read his book, Tom Went on a Ski Trip. I started reading the book right away.
Starting point is 00:55:18 And by the time he got home, I had taken the house back. And never, ever after that, I implemented everything I read because it's a Christian based book. I got a spoon. Spoons work. You use them far less than you think you do. It's true. And I just like took my family back.
Starting point is 00:55:40 I took my life back and I let my kids deal with the consequences of their actions instead of me trying to fix everything by not doing it the right way. It's hard to spank your kids. I understand that and I get it, but that's not what the Word of God tells us. The Word of God says we are. If we don't, we spoil them. And it also says that we hate them if we don't. And I didn't hate my kids. I absolutely loved and adored them and I hate them if we don't. And I didn't hate my kids. I absolutely loved and adored them and I wanted them to go to heaven. So I implemented the word and I implemented good teaching by somebody who had already been there and was wise. Wise beyond his years, but two good books. So Dare to Discipline and A Strong-Willed Child by James Dobson.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Get those books. It will truly help you. But more importantly, get in the Word. The Word will change your life. You have a one-year-old. You don't got plenty of time, but you got plenty of time to start reading the Word, figuring it out, and start implementing it. And your kid will go to heaven.
Starting point is 00:56:42 When you get to the twos, they won't be terrible. They'll actually be easy breezy. It doesn't have to be awful. I know lots of people who did it right that the twos were phenomenal. Like for Tom, the twos were nothing for both of our kids. The twos were terrible for one and great for another. So you guys have anything you want to add to that?
Starting point is 00:57:03 Any good teaching instructions? No, I think you covered it. You know, I was just, this is how we brought it up. I was just telling Magalas. She's like, that's a great idea. I would love, but it has to be, you know, you just can't have anybody teach it. It has to be somebody who's really, really good. I would probably tell almost everyone no.
Starting point is 00:57:26 Seriously, I don't even know who I'd say yes to. But I would love to have a strong married couple that have been there. Their kids are older. They're all saved. They did it absolutely right. I have some people in mind, but none of them come to this church, teach a parenting class, how to raise children biblically. That would be, she was like, that's a great idea.
Starting point is 00:57:53 It is a great idea. It is a great idea. Because there's so many people who don't know how to raise children correctly. Right. And like, you can have failed and have six, like I failed, but I got it quickly corrected. There's a lot of people who fail and then realize that they,
Starting point is 00:58:12 but they don't have no fruit behind. Like you got to have the fruit to be able to stand in front of people and say, this is how you do it. If you don't, then you have no business doing it. And it can't be anybody who's in the process yeah right because again they have no fruit right but there's a lot of people out there that would really love to know how to parent their children correctly they don't know how to do it
Starting point is 00:58:37 it's just most people most people don't do it correctly yeah it's true. So we are down to one minute. Let me see. Do I want to do this one? No. Well, yeah, I'm going to do this one really quick. The Chosen one. Yeah, yeah. What is your take on the series The Chosen?
Starting point is 00:58:54 Some Christians are adamantly against it because it's not biblically correct. Okay, I have no take on The Chosen because I actually have never seen it. Oh, wow. I've never watched one. Now, my mom has. My mom has watched a bunch. Yeah. Have you guys watched The Chosen because I actually have never seen it. Oh, wow. I've never watched one. Now, my mom has. My mom has watched a bunch.
Starting point is 00:59:07 Yeah. Have you guys watched The Chosen? I saw season one. Same. So how many seasons are there? I think they're on their fourth. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:16 You're kidding me. Like, what was season one then? Just Jesus being born? No. What the heck? That was the healing. Yeah. And like healing stuff. A lot of the stuff we use for the Easter, it was season one. one then just jesus being born no what the heck that was the healing disciples yeah and like
Starting point is 00:59:25 healing stuff a lot of the stuff we used for the easter um it was season one but then what are they doing now because that talked a lot about jesus's life has he died on the cross yet and now they've gone back i know i think that was coming up but i don't know he's still around he didn't die yet on the cross interesting well did you like it yeah did you like it? Yeah. Did you like it? Okay, so a lot of people don't like it because it's not
Starting point is 00:59:47 biblically based. There were. Yeah, well, there's a few scenes that are definitely not biblically based. Like,
Starting point is 00:59:56 in the very beginning, do they say that? Yes. My girlfriend, I do think, yes, I do think they say that. They do.
Starting point is 01:00:04 My girlfriend, my girlfriend that I used to work with, my girlfriend Kim, she loved it. When it first came out, she's like, Hope, you got to watch it. And I was like, eh, I don't know. But she's like, it's not, she said a lot of it is in the word, right? But she said, but they take some liberties. Well, when have they not taken liberties, though? I go back to, like, people were so, I don't want to use this word, but it's so perfect. But people were so pissy about the Ten Commandments.
Starting point is 01:00:44 It was made in 1971 or 72 or something like that like early 70s and people so ticked off that it was not exact to the bible right hollywood people yeah hollywood you got charlton heston in. You think he's biblically founded? Yul Brynner. No, it's not. Again, I don't understand. If you're going to watch something, understand where it's coming from and know. Even with The Chosen, they were honest.
Starting point is 01:01:23 I don't even think back in the day with The Ten Commandments, they didn't even need to say it because obviously it wasn't going to be scripturally. There was things in the scripture and you could watch it and you can understand what part of scripture you're watching, but it's not going to be exact to the exact. So I'm like, get over it. Eat the meat and spit out the bones. Like people to be so upset over something not being so exact yeah like how could can you expect it to be i know i know i think the only one that's ever produced anything that's so accurate or so close to being accurate but even he said it couldn't be because it would have been x-rated was um the passion of the christ mel gibson tried to do it as precise to scripture as he possibly could right i mean it is pretty
Starting point is 01:02:12 dang accurate i've watched it yeah like i never watched that stuff and i watched like five years six years after it came out okay down to like it was it was done in aramaic aramaic right is that yeah yeah there's parts um aramaic because i think that's really what i think for some reason i could be completely wrong about this but i feel like they said that was the more uh spoken language at the time so they stuck more to that yeah i remember having to like read subtitles. Right. Yeah. How dare them? Yeah. How dare them? I don't want to work while I watch a movie. Oh my gosh. Can I just be mindless?
Starting point is 01:02:51 I mean, and if they go too fast, I'm in trouble. Yeah. Like now I'm lost. Yeah. And I hate rewind. Cause you never go back to the same spot.
Starting point is 01:03:00 No, never. Don't even get me going on that. But yeah, I don't like to work when I watch a movie so no subtitles i always have subtitles i always have subtitles always what always what do you watch closed caption all the time or something i just always have them on do you know you do not always always i just like them after because if i don't understand what the person said I just look down and it says it and then I look back up
Starting point is 01:03:27 and watch it I don't know why I always have them on I have never heard of anyone watching a show with subtitles except for the hearing impaired that's what you do Xfinity you're like turn subtitles on and they turn them on for you always have them on and when I watch YouTube I can't have them
Starting point is 01:03:43 so it's kind of annoying I know I'm three minutes over, but quickly, quickly, quickly, people put in the comment section if you actually watch something with a subtitle, because I'm telling you guys are freaks of nature. I don't think people do. Have you ever heard of this? No, I have heard of it. What?
Starting point is 01:03:58 I don't. I live in a stinking cave. Okay. Well, I loved it from the beginning, but people said like, if you're trying to teach your kids how to read, you should always have subtitles on because they'll start to connect the words with what is on. But I just like it. I just like the subtitles. I also watch shows where
Starting point is 01:04:13 they're in different languages. Oh, see, I don't. So I always... Well, looky, looky at town. Wait, but what shows? Like, I watch like a lot of Netflix. Well, there's like K-dramas that I watch anime yes that has english ding dong that's not a different language oh my gosh please don't watch sometimes but oh no I do okay sarum oh my gosh galena sarum all have subtitles yep and well okay
Starting point is 01:04:40 colombian colombian that's true that's russian I think she is a russian of course Okay, Colombian and a Russian. I think she is a Russian. Who's Colombian? Of course. Wait, what's Sarah? Sarah, is she from Colombia? Sarah is not Colombian. What is she?
Starting point is 01:04:53 Cambodian. Cambodian. No, that's it. Listen, we're white. We don't know. My bless. It starts with a C. Give me a break.
Starting point is 01:04:59 Close enough. And Linda, too. Linda. Yeah, see, Linda's with me. She can watch a lot of English shows. Okay, wait a minute. Okay, they're foreigners. Wait, okay.
Starting point is 01:05:09 They don't speak English. No, I'm just kidding. Oh my gosh. I'm just saying, of course they're going to. Okay, Cindy says sometimes, but her sister always does. And her mom always. Really? Listen, Hope, maybe it's a whole new world for you.
Starting point is 01:05:24 Tom and I would be so irritated if we had to watch something with words down at the bottom. Get those words off that screen right now. That is so funny. Don't make me work to watch my TV. Oh my gosh. I don't watch very much TV, but if I do, I'm usually falling asleep.
Starting point is 01:05:38 Yeah, that's true. And if I'm going to be falling asleep, I don't want to have to read something while I'm listening to something. That'll make me go to sleep even faster. Yeah, yeah. Tell you, I don't even to have to read something while I'm listening to something. That'll make me go to sleep even faster. Yeah. Yeah. Tell you,
Starting point is 01:05:47 I don't even know what to do with you. I don't even know what to do with you, girl. I'm just interesting. She is. You're different. Very interesting. I'm learning something new every day.
Starting point is 01:05:57 Last, like last podcast, I learned that, that Vanessa had been engaged. Yeah. Threw me for a loop. I know. And now I'm learning that you guys will have subtitles.
Starting point is 01:06:06 Always. I knew something wasn't right with either one of you two. I knew it. Yeah. It's a screw loose. So funny. The weirdest one out of all of us is Logan. Does Logan do subtitles?
Starting point is 01:06:17 Okay. Logan just said, Chris said, hope is right, all freaks. So she didn't say if she does. Isn't this thank you in sign language? I think Logan probably knows.
Starting point is 01:06:28 God bless you. Isn't that thank you? Thank you, Chris. Sarah says she hears better with subtitles on. Yeah, that's kind of true. Katie says no subtitles.
Starting point is 01:06:46 Logan's the weirdest one out of all of us. I'm waiting for Logan. And Logan says no, right? Logan does not. So that makes sense. So you're weird. Those two are weird then. That means you're weird.
Starting point is 01:06:56 You and Logan. You and Logan. Yeah, weird. Me and Logan and Vanessa. And I bet you're a bottom taller. Heather does not do subtitles. And Sarah doesn't do subtitles. Norma does not.
Starting point is 01:07:08 I already know that. Janelle says she can't stand subtitles. It's too distracting. She doesn't like to work. God bless. Our family has a meltdown when the subtitles are on. That's Stephanie Holland. So they are not subtitle family.
Starting point is 01:07:21 Stephanie's not subtitles, right? None. No, not okay. One step further than that. I can't do dubbed. What's not subtitles, right? None. One step further than that, I can't do dubbed. What's dubbed? That's where the mouths don't match up. Oh, I know.
Starting point is 01:07:33 That takes Tom off to no end. I can't do it. That's too much. I will rage. Yeah, no. I turn the TV off. That's Tom. Because they're the best romance ones. Drives him crazy. He won't even watch it. He'll just turn it off. He's like, forget about it. Forget's Tom. Because they're the best romance ones. Drives him crazy. Oh my gosh. He won't even watch it. He'll just turn it off. He's like, forget about it. Forget about it. And then, I'm seven minutes
Starting point is 01:07:50 over, but I'm going to keep talking about this for one more second. Jamie Peck says no subtitles either. Watch Jamie. I know. I'm disappointed, Jamie. Equally yoked right there. So sad. Anybody else? Anybody else? That's my girl. So what was the original question oh what was it i don't know something about the chosen it's far less interesting it's far less interesting than subtitles yeah i have taken
Starting point is 01:08:19 this thing to another another. I'm just saying. Weirdies like them. Normals don't. Oh my gosh. But that explains a lot about you two jokers over there. I know. Listen. We're just special. Makes a lot of sense. I wouldn't be high-fiving.
Starting point is 01:08:43 You don't high-five. Either. I don't. The five. You don't high five. Either. I don't. The rest of the world. I'm telling you, the majority of us. I'm just saying. That's weird.
Starting point is 01:08:53 There's more of us. I don't think so. There's more of us that be than we know. Right, so that means we're more special. Yeah, that's true. Oh, you're special. All right. Sean loves subtitles.
Starting point is 01:09:03 Sean likes. Yeah. Sean. Good job, Sean. Yes. What's up with you're special. All right. Sean loves subtitles. Sean likes. Yeah. Sean. Good job, Sean. Yes. What's up with you? Yeah. That's a little shocking to me.
Starting point is 01:09:11 I know. He has such great questions. He does. What happened? Listen, we're just, we have to like, our brains have to do all the things. Are either one of you, Talia, you're left-handed, right? Yeah. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:09:22 I didn't know that. Talia, you're letting me down, sister. Yeah. Oh, wow. I didn't know that. Talia, you're letting me down, sister. From one lefty to another. Sorry. God, wait. I forgot hope was so loud. I thought it was only right-handers. No.
Starting point is 01:09:34 Can only be Weirdy McGees that are right-handed. But I guess not. Oh, my goodness. All right. Well, I don't even know how to segue into getting you saved. Well, I guess I could say if you're weird and you like subtitles and you need Jesus, I'm your girl. Okay.
Starting point is 01:09:51 Because if you like subtitles, something's wrong. That's not true. Don't listen to her. So while I do the sinner's prayer and Tracy and Talia say it along with me. I will. Because they're going to get saved and delivered from subtitles. Yeah, just in case. Let's just say this prayer together.
Starting point is 01:10:05 Let's get you right with God so that today is a new day for you. Write this day on your calendar so you remember it forever because it's going to be one special. It's outside of getting married. Getting married is secondary to getting your life right with God. Number one thing you'll ever do in your life is get your life right with God. Number one thing you'll ever do in your life is get your life right. And then marrying your spouse or finding your spouse and getting married to him. That's like number two.
Starting point is 01:10:32 Now, some people are going, no, you don't know who I'm married to. I'm thinking to myself, some of you people are like, yeah, that one,
Starting point is 01:10:41 the second most commemorative times it should be. And it should have been. Yes. And you do things right and it will be. Yeah. Because really, that's like the second most important relationship you have is with your spouse. So, so valuable. So let's say the sinner's prayer.
Starting point is 01:10:59 Let's get your life right with God. And let's start off the weekend correctly. I keep thinking it's Wednesday. I'm still in jet lag. But tomorrow's Saturday, people. Sure is. And after I get done with this podcast, pretty much the weekend begins. In Jesus name, let's say this prayer. Heavenly Father, we come to you right now. We thank you that you gave your life. You gave your life so that I might have eternal life. I thank you that you died for my sins. I ask you to forgive me of my sins. I thank you that from this moment on, I will have eternity in heaven, that I have the opportunity to do your will, to live for you,
Starting point is 01:11:48 to live out my calling, and let you be the Lord of my life. Wherever you say go, I will go. Whatever you say do, I will do. In Jesus' mighty name we pray. Amen. If you said that prayer, start today. Repenting, which is what you just did, repenting of sin is 180 degree turn. So whatever direction you were heading in, you're going to go the opposite of it right now. So sin is the road to destruction. You're heading in the opposite direction, and that is life and life more abundantly.
Starting point is 01:12:20 And there are ways to live from this moment forward. Get a good Bible. If you don't have one, let us know. We'll get one out to you. Live what the word says. Do what it says. And I promise you, a month from now, you'll look at yourself and go, who am I?
Starting point is 01:12:37 And you'll be the better for it. Thank you for joining in. See you on Wednesday of next week and have a phenomenal weekend. Bye. you you you you
