So if the mics are live, because Tracy just goes, mics are live.
And I was like, well, if mics are live, I can't finish saying what I was going to say about Taya.
Which is a secret.
Oh, secret, secret.
My bad, girl.
Secret, secret.
Okay, bye.
She gone.
She gone.
She's going to run.
Well, she actually is running.
I was going to say in the opposite direction.
But welcome to the Hope Hotline.
This is the last Hope Hotline for a couple weeks.
At least a couple, maybe three.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, but two.
Definitely two.
Possibly three.
But we are going to post every single week that it's not here.
And then we're going to, like, the one before we start back up, we'll let you know immediately.
Because I know all of you guys are going to be clamoring. I mean, I don't know how they're going to like the one before we start back up. We'll let you know immediately. Cause I know all of you guys are going to be clamoring.
I mean,
I don't know how they're going to go on without us,
but I think they can.
I think they'll figure it out.
It is going to be difficult.
Why are you laughing?
I don't know how we're going to go on without you guys.
We should do reruns.
No.
We have some,
we have some funny ones.
I mean,
there's some old school ones that
actually you could do though you could do tom's you could do the very first one of time oh we
might do that logan had some good questions remember yeah yeah we do have reruns might be
the idea how can we do that we'll figure it out i think you have to be here tracy in order to run
a rerun we'll figure it out but i'm not have to be here, Tracy, in order to run a rerun. We'll figure it out.
But I'm not going anywhere.
I'm around.
And I know how to work the software.
I'm just saying.
You do not want to be here.
Oh, my gosh, Tracy.
Listen, we have some funny.
We could find some funny ones.
I've been tracking some things. Okay, let us know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, she has.
Let us know.
What do you mean you've been tracking her things?
I'm interested.
Listen, the 200th episode is going to not look like the 100th episode.
No, it's not.
So we're already preparing.
The 100th episode was a big flop and bomb.
It was so bad.
It was good.
Yeah, it was bad.
I mean, we got lots of people to watch.
They were intrigued.
Like, what could go wrong next?
You know what?
That is true.
See?
Okay.
Natalie says yes to the reruns.
I actually was just about to say,
we probably could run Natalie's,
but the problem is,
she's not there anymore.
I had a question about that too.
Oh, she what? She's gone out on her own.
That's a top secret thing that's not
public. Not anymore.
But she's coming on the podcast.
As soon as everything's official,
we're putting her out on the podcast.
I already talked to her about her being
a guest. Good. That's what I was going to ask about.
Yep.
She's our girl. Huh? She's. So. She's our girl. Huh?
She's our girl. She's our girl.
So we're in great shape.
But yeah, we could do that.
Depends on what that looks like.
Yeah. Maybe we won't
be gone, people. Hey.
I know. Everybody's like, I can breathe again.
Yeah.
Life will go on for you.
Your hearts won't stop. Yeah. Life will go on for you. Your hearts won't stop.
Yeah. Interesting.
I know because we have some new people that hopped
on recently and I don't know if they even know which ones
to go back to that were like
some of our top favorites. Definitely Tom when Tom came
on for the first time. That, yeah.
That one's good. That one was so
good. We don't need to do the second one. That
one's not great. Oh my gosh.
The first one was pretty epic.
Yeah, and I think
it ended up being one of Sarah's
questions that took things down into a spiral.
Probably. 100%.
That's before Sarah was even on the
podcast. Yeah, it was.
Yep.
Yeah, we might have to do that. We might have to
figure that out.
We can. Okay. We can do that. We can figure it out.
So maybe you won't be without the podcast.
Maybe you'll just watch reruns.
It's good too.
So, alrighty, Rue,
let us move on to the next
thing, which is all you, Tracy.
Alrighty. Alright, we got some people on
Facebook already, so let us know.
Sarah just dropped the Rumble link in, so
if you want, like, share, and you can comment on Facebook. And then I know if you are watching on Foundations
Facebook, that's fine to do that there too. But hop over to our Rumble page. It's just the Hope
hotline over there. You can find it if the link's not working or whatever. It's just the Hope
hotline. Super simple. And then I want you to head over to the Rumble because that's where the live
chat's going.
So we want to make sure that you can be involved in this. If you have questions upon the question that's being asked or, you know, side things that you just want to share, we are over in Rumble.
We have YouTube. If you subscribe there, you'll get notifications. So that's always a great thing,
especially if you're busy and you just kind of forget that it's already three o'clock.
Sometimes you look at the clock and you're like, oh my gosh, it's three.
Set your alarms, people.
You can set your alarms.
Exactly.
Wednesdays and Fridays.
You don't want to miss it.
And we come on at Rumble.
Well, no, Rumble.
We're pretty much live at quarter of, no, 10 of.
So you can hop on and it'll just be like a little placeholder.
But the live chat's going at 250. So YouTube, you have to wait till the regular time, Facebook as well. And then
black robe as well. So we have our audio podcast that goes live right after this. And, uh, you can
listen, download all that good stuff. And I still haven't seen any emails come through of why people
like to download them. So, uh, we might've figured out the answer, but again, if you listen to an
audio podcast and you love downloading them, I want to know the reason behind it. So send us an email,
which is next. And that is askhope at hopehotline.com. We need your questions. So again,
if you're having conversations with your friends or your family and a random question gets brought
up and you kind of aren't getting to the bottom of it, or there's not a verse that like satisfies
the way that like maybe you've heard it before,
this or that, send it in.
If it's just an everyday question, if it's something that like, I don't know,
a parenting question or a question about marriage or anything, send it in.
We would love to hear Hope's take on it.
And of course, the Peanut Gallery will give their responses as well.
We have our merch available,
foundationchurchfl.com. You just click shop. They're all there along with Foundation Church's
merch and the TLP. We have our cute hat available. And Friday, July 26th, which is coming up very
soon. I cannot believe it. It is literally the middle of July. I mean, we are how many days
away? Three days away from the middle of July. How, how, how, how, how is this happening? It's
like flying. Um, so we have a new time, 630 to 8 PM. Um, are we telling people why it's ends at
8 PM? Have we announced anything yet? Uh, yeah, Tom's been announcing it's because of his podcast going
five days a week yes so the TLP will be changing from the Tuesday Thursday Saturday format to
Monday through Friday and it will be from nine to ten or I should put question mark yeah it depends
on how long he rants right right right so the goal is an hour
but we'll see so we are ending don't count on it yeah i mean you guys are all along for the ride
anyways i mean poor aaron he has to do everything so he has to do crave i know and then he has to
run back i know and do the podcast i know but they love i mean crave is going to be amazing
it is and he doesn't care and the t TLP, it's like he's in his
zone. He loves both of them.
I think he loves worship leading more
than podcasting production.
But Tom makes him love
production more than
worship leading.
Tom's like, you can't love it more.
So he's speaking in his existence.
Yeah, I need you.
Oh my gosh, that's so funny. And. And then in August we will be having our victorious
beloved ladies conference. And so that will be the 22nd to the 24th. And this is our little
schedule Thursday evening, Friday, pretty much all day. We'll take a break from the morning
session to the PM session. And then Saturday morning only morning only. Um, so please, like if, if you're out of
town, we have hotels, please come. It's going to be so much fun and it won't be like exhausting.
It's going to be, you are going to feel so good after you leave these, after you have like a
worship and then you get a word and then prayer. This is going to be so packed, filled with the
anointing. Um, it's every year, it's just gets better and better. So, um, we're going to be so packed, filled with the anointing. It's every year.
It just gets better and better.
So we're going to play our little video real quick so you guys can kind of get a little taste at last year's and then kind of see what each session looks like. Thank you. The All right.
So again, we will be meeting August 22nd to the 24th.
And it really was.
It was a great time last year.
You're going to see some of the amazing speakers again.
And so we definitely want you to come
and bring a friend this year.
Bring a couple of friends,
even if they can only make it to one session.
Invite them to come, let them be around this.
And you never know.
You never know what seeds will be planted
during this conference for you
and your family and your friends.
Yep, it's so true.
Oh my gosh. So I just sent something to Tracy, which it best describes what you're going to experience with the two guest
speakers besides myself. They are like, they are like no other.
So I'll speak Thursday night, which isn't shown on there.
And then Magalas, after breakfast, she'll be speaking.
So I'm more like a teacher.
I teach.
Magalas is more like a stand-up comedian. And Adalas is more like an evangelist slash preacher kind of thing.
She's like Jonathan.
But they're both funny.
Did you see that?
Can you get that i'm going to have talia go um download it screen record it so we can watch it um that's a little people hear what they're saying
so she's going to screen record it how does she do that just there's a i'll show you on your phone
there's a way to screen record what you're watching i need to say that because we will i
cried i can't tell you how many times i watched it i I sent a thing to Magalas and I said, I'm dying right now. She said it was the Holy Spirit. I couldn't hold it back. I'm like,
I don't know what your Holy Spirit's doing. Do we have the same Holy Spirit?
Pretty much. Oh my gosh. Yes, they are. They're, they're their own breed and I love it. Like,
I love that they just you be you man
there is nothing there is nobody listen i've been in ministry all my life right and
vanessa too and you too yeah okay sarah's been in and out but sarah i mean like
sarah you kind of like you didn't like like did you go to a lot of, besides the church that I know,
because I went to the same place,
did you go to a lot of charismatic,
like Pentecostal before?
So even they aren't going to be like
what you're used to, to a certain degree.
I mean, you've seen them, right?
You have seen them,
but like, you don't know a lot of people
that are like them in ministry, right?
I've been in the evangelical Pentecostal
and outside of
Jesse Duplantis I ain't never seen anybody like them before have you yeah
have you ever seen anybody like these two girls I grew up with this my whole
life in your church in New York and I had friends like this I'm like about
yeah yeah yeah within like not my, but like associated churches around.
So the pastors were like this?
Ministers were like this?
Because I didn't.
I had friends like them.
Big characters.
Big personalities.
I think it's a northeast.
Yeah, but I'm northeastern.
Like New York.
And I'm telling you, my pastors were like.
It's an added. It's a'm telling you, my pastor's like. Pennsylvania. Like, it's an attitude.
It's a kind of like,
I don't know.
It's just big attitude.
Not attitude,
but big personality.
Yeah.
Larger than life.
Yeah.
But I'm telling you.
Which makes me love them even more
because it feels like home
when they're here.
Maybe.
But I know,
listen,
I know ministers that are up there.
Yeah.
I mean,
I know them, which right now, that are in that area. They're are up there. Yeah. I mean, I know them right now that are in that area.
They're not like them.
Yeah.
They're not funny.
I mean, they're funny, but they're not funny like them.
They're not like, I'm talking about the men and the women.
Yeah.
Like, personally, outside of when they weren't in the pulpit,
I knew pastors that were like this, but they never were like,
they weren't real like this in the pulpit.
They didn't preach like this.
They're kind of like Spanish Pentecostal churches.
So it must be like within that genre.
Very much so.
Maybe it's cultural.
I think it is cultural.
Very much so.
But Jonathan's like that and he's white.
He's a whitey.
But he's Spanish by association.
Okay. So you can, Okay, so is it ready?
Let me just...
You're going to make sure?
Yeah, there we go.
Okay, so I am...
I hardly ever go on people's stories.
Every now and then I do.
And I went on Adalys' stories,
and this is what I saw.
I go for you to not give up on your dreams, not give up on the word of God,
because if you're alive, there's a purpose.
Don't give up!
Somebody needed to hear that.
Do it again.
I go for you to not give up on your dreams, not give up on the word of God,
because if you're alive, there's a purpose.
Don't give up!
Oh, my gosh.
Somebody needed to hear that.
Somebody needed to hear that.
I'm just telling you.
That's what you're going to get if you come.
Yes.
Yeah, she is.
They're so different, too.
They're twins. They look similar, but They're so different, too. They're twins.
They look similar, but they are so different.
So different.
Magalas is not reserved.
Adalas is hardly reserved, but more reserved.
It's dang funny.
They are.
They are.
You will have so much fun.
Yes.
I'm just telling you.
And then we're bringing back the family fluid on Saturday
because they want to rematch and we want to rematch.
And I'm just saying to you, that was dang funny.
That was funny.
So lots of laughs.
I mean, I cannot tell you how many people last year came to me
and they're like, that was the best ladies conference I've ever been to, ever been to.
And these are people that don't even attend our church.
They're like, never been to anything like that before.
So you will not be disappointed.
I can promise you that.
It's going to be fun.
Lots of fun.
But yeah, I was like, Magalas.
And she's like, it was the Holy Spirit.
Oh my gosh.
Of course.
Look at that face.
I had to do it.
Yeah.
Someone didn't give up because of that.
That's true.
Oh, that's when they were younger too.
I know.
I don't even know.
They look similar, but they don't.
Yeah.
They definitely look younger.
They haven't changed the look.
They age well.
Nothing's changed. That's for sure. They're Yeah. They definitely look younger, but they haven't changed. Well, nothing,
nothing's changed.
That's for sure.
They are special.
Guys,
I'm just telling you,
it will,
you will not be disappointed.
No,
you will not.
You will not do.
It's going to be a really great time.
So great food.
Yeah.
Great times being together.
Great door prizes.
Great teachings and preachings. Yeah. And times being together. Great door prizes. Great teachings and preachings and comedic relief.
Yes.
Yes.
I can't promise you you'll learn a lick from Magalas on Friday morning, but I can promise
you, you will laugh.
You might not learn a daggum spiritually.
No, last year, actually, she brought it so much that that's probably what she preached on was what people remembered the most.
Yeah.
She did so good last year.
And she's so nervous doing it.
Or I shouldn't say she's nervous.
Oh, grow a pair.
She doesn't preach.
Grow a pair.
Yeah, grow a pair.
Yeah.
Which was awesome.
Yeah.
See, I remember.
Yeah, no, I think she did amazing.
Because she taught on the fruits of the spirit.
Yeah.
So she's telling people to grow a pair.
Right.
Right. And she, I know she doesn't do it very often, but like she was amazing. She taught on the fruits of the spirit. Yeah. So she's telling people to grow a pear. Right.
Right.
And she, I know she doesn't do it very often, but like she was like a natural up there.
San Pellegrino people.
It's not wine.
We're getting a little.
It's not Heineken.
It's not Heine.
Everybody's got their Heineken bottles.
It's sparkling water.
I've got McDonald's.
She got McDonald's.
What is that?
Is it haters don't hate?
Hey. Uh-huh. I know what it is. McDonald's has What is that? Is it haters don't hate? Uh-huh.
I know what it is.
McDonald's is the best.
Diet Coke.
You know why that is?
Best.
You know why Diet Coke?
Any Coke or soft drink products from McDonald's, you know why they're the best?
Is it the machine?
No.
It's because McDonald's, I just realized, McDonald's requires that all of the soft drinks come cold.
In the kegs, they are never allowed not to be refrigerated.
They are refrigerated from beginning to end.
Yeah, so they don't come warm.
It's constantly cold.
That's the reason why they taste different.
If I ever want a soda, I go to McDonald's.
That's the reason why.
Coke's required to make sure
from beginning to end.
McDonald's just like elevated for me.
McDonald's just elevated themselves with you
because of their soda?
Chick-fil-A is now down here.
Oh, wow.
I'm not a God's chicken girl.
I'm not a God's or Jesus chicken person.
I'm not a big Chick-fil-A. I'm a PDQ.
We've talked about that.
What is that? PDQ?
I know. Oh my gosh, it's the best.
We must have talked about it offline because
you guys told me how good it was.
It's so good. I prefer it.
And you know what? It's the
devil's chicken. Oh, is it? It is
the devil's chicken. It tastes very similar to Chick-fil-A, but better.
It's the devil's chicken because they're open on Sunday.
Oh.
I don't know.
Who works on Sunday?
Oh, my gosh.
I'm okay with that.
I never have to worry about, like, people are always like,
it's Sunday.
I can't have my Chick-fil-A.
It's always open at PDQ.
You go to the demon one. Yes. Sarasota. I'm't have my Chick-fil-A. It's always open at PDQ. You go to the Demon one.
Sarasota?
Yes.
Sarasota.
I'm telling you, after the hurricane.
But we were starving.
And we had to work here.
Have you had it since the hurricane?
Yes, I have.
Okay, okay.
I'm just checking.
I'm just checking.
Because we were really hungry during the hurricane.
Nothing was open.
Nothing was open in this area.
But you had to go into Cape Coral or all the way to Sarasota.
And I'm just telling you, every, because all of our refrigerators were down.
Nothing working.
So we had to go out to eat.
And it was my only hope.
It was my only joy at 11 o'clock at night driving to PDQ in Sarasota.
After a long day.
It's my oasis.
It was my oasis.
The bread that comes with it is so good also.
Oh, I love bread.
I love the bread.
Oh, it's so good.
I love bread.
So tip.
Okay.
If you're, it's close.
If, if, since Chick-fil-A is closed on Sunday, go to the devil's chicken PDQ.
Okay.
Just as good, if not better.
I prefer it.
I prefer it.
Okay.
I'll try it.
Oh, see, Talia prefers it. She does. Doesn't your mama prefer it? i'll try it oh see talia prefers she does
doesn't your mama prefer it like every day yeah oh yeah that's right you love chick-fil-a yeah
tom does not think it's better but okay he's a little warped so okay that happens yeah
i don't trust him on those things yeah i understand um All right, are we ready to go? Are we good?
Yeah, let's do it.
All right, let's do this.
This question is going to peeve off some people
because it involves Santa Claus.
Hold on tight, people.
We're going into Christmas.
We might demolish.
And here's the thing.
Yeah.
If you have small children and they are within earshot of this program.
They should hear.
Either what?
They should hear this. Make sure they stay in the room.
They should hear this.
Depending on your opinion, you might want to put a set of earplugs or earmuffs on them.
Send them out.
Or send them out of the room.
Because it might literally, okay, I'm going to give everybody a couple seconds.
Lock the door so Allison doesn't come in.
What?
I know my mom's in there.
Okay, now we're going to go into it because I gave you enough time.
So here's the thing.
I've literally had, so this question,
is telling your kids about Santa Claus lying to your kids,
and did your kids believe in Santa?
The true story.
One year, it was like two years ago,
one year Tom was preaching, and he was preaching.
It was around Christmas time,
and he said that there was no such thing as Santa Claus,
but he said it in a phrase like,
and people who believe in Santa Claus, right?
Okay. Okay.
This woman who is a freaking nut to begin with okay she was so peeved because her junior high
child oh was in the room junior high she was so mad because he ruined his christmas like
that's how he found out there was no such thing as Santa.
Your kid's in junior high.
Probably time.
I mean, to me, that's like a woman who is still breastfeeding at the age of three and four.
And the kid is lifting up the
shirt and going, I'm thirsty.
You think that doesn't happen?
It didn't happen to her.
But she believes in long breastfeeding.
I'm just saying. At the time she did.
Is that like long COVID?
Yeah.
You think that didn't happen?
I was at a birthday party
and the kid was like four.
I'm not lying.
The kid was four.
He lifted up his mother's shirt
in front of all of the party goers
and started drinking.
That's crazy.
That is crazy.
That's where I draw the line.
I personally would feel violated.
That's crazy.
She was loving every minute of it.
I kid you not.
I'm like, oh my gosh. That's crazy. She was loving every minute of it. I kid you not. I'm like, oh, my gosh.
That's mental illness.
Tom's like, oh, my gosh.
Listen, the lady was well endowed.
Oh, of course.
So everything.
I'm like, what are you doing, lady?
Yeah, that's why she loved it.
Tom's like, oh, my gosh.
He's like looking up.
Oh, my gosh.
I'm like, look away.
All of everybody, look away. Everybody, look away.
Unattractive.
That's wild.
That is wild.
That wasn't what happened with you?
Absolutely not.
Right, okay.
Just for the record.
Her five-year-old just did it in the bathroom.
She was four.
Okay.
I didn't know she was four.
I thought she was three.
She was four. We had a conversation. She was starting BBK. And it was four. Okay. I didn't know she was four. I thought she was three. She was four.
We had a conversation.
She was starting BBK.
And it was time.
And you were like, all done.
All done.
All done.
We're done.
She was teeny tiny.
Yeah.
Not that tiny.
I knew her then.
She was tiny.
She was super petite.
I will give you.
Yeah.
That's a very cultural thing, though.
Because in many other countries,
they breastfeed for a long time because it's just healthier.
We're the only mammal that drinks another mammal's milk.
Okay, well, here's my viewpoint on that.
After year one, they say there are actually no,
and I might be wrong about this, but I have read about it.
It's okay for them not to be because they don't need it
like they did when they were very young.
And Sarah, when in Rome, you don't live in another country.
You live in the United States.
So we're not in Puerto Rico.
Michael Jordan breastfed until he was five, and he's an amazing athlete.
What is that?
Michael Jordan.
Was breastfed until he was five?
Again,
you live in the United States.
But, you know,
be discreet. I was very
discreet. That I believe.
You're super modest.
We were talking about Santa Claus.
Squirrel.
Squirrel.
I'm just saying, if your kid's in junior high
And still believes in Santa
You might be a freak
You might have some
You might have some mommy issues
Okay
You're not lying
I'm not lying
I know that you are right
but thanks for backing me up Vanessa breastfeeding mama to four I'll take it I have standard
Santa Claus is one of them
breastfeeding is not right Santa Claus is yes that's where i draw the line that's where she drives i can't back you up on the breastfeeding but i do appreciate you backing me up on the santa
literally all day long oh my gosh i don't know so to answer your question now i have
it's gonna sound hip-hop it's like I'm a hypocrite, okay?
So I'm going to just let you know going in, I sound like a hypocrite.
I understand that.
I acknowledge that.
But when I get all said and done, you can tell me whether or not you agree or disagree.
Okay.
Sounds good. Just like Sarah with Michael Jordan and me whether or not you agree or disagree. Okay. Sounds good.
Just like Sarah with Michael Jordan
and the five years of age in other countries.
Okay.
Sounds good.
Everybody has their own opinion,
and I'm okay with that.
I may not agree, but I'm okay.
And the same goes with the peanut gallery over there.
So we did start out,
because Tom grew up believing in Santa.
I never did. Oh. never. My parents would not allow
me to believe in it because they said they were not going to lie to me. And they felt convicted
about that. So I will say my parents got saved, I think when my sister was three, my oldest sister.
So I never believed
in Santa but I don't know if she did she might have but because they didn't what what is lying
to a sinner like they weren't saved so it wasn't a big deal to them now we started out and we allowed
our kids to believe in it because Tom's like it it's fun. It's not a big deal.
I didn't care one way or the other, to be honest with you,
because I don't think it's that big of a deal until you feel convicted.
And our kids were very small. I think they believed in Santa maybe two years,
but in so much that they were so young that they really
never even got to grab hold of like when they were so young that when I told when we told them that
Santa was going to come in and bring them their presents they both pretty much started crying
don't let them in our room because they they were very freaked out that somebody's going to be
they were that little that they couldn't even enjoy the thought of Santa like they were very freaked out that somebody's going to be, they were that little that they couldn't even enjoy the thought of Santa.
Like they were that young.
And then Tom's like, Tom felt convicted.
And he's like, I feel convicted about this because I feel,
I don't feel right about lying to them.
And I know, he was like, I know it's not that big of a deal.
And I know that it's fun.
But now my younger sister never allowed her children to
believe in santa and my brother never allowed his kids to believe in santa because they both felt
like it was lying but what my younger sister did which we took on because i loved the idea
she's like we tell we let our kids have fun with santa um but they know he's not real. Just like when we
go to Disney, they know Mickey
Mouse isn't real. Minnie
Mouse isn't real. But they have fun
using their imagination, going
there and it being a magical. This is before
it went into pedophilia and
grooming our children.
I'm not
big on people supporting
that kind of stuff.
But I have family who go there all the time.
So, again, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
But it's like, she's like, we let our kids go to Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse,
and they have fun using their imagination.
Pretend.
And she goes, that's what I've done with Santa.
They pretend.
They have fun.
But they know it's not real. We all, throughout, as my kids got older, they knew he wasn't real.
But they had so much fun pretending that he was.
Like, we would throw out the reindeer food at Christmas Eve with the sparkles and the oats.
And we had a great time with it.
But we just didn't feel right about lying to him about it.
But I know plenty of people that do the Elf on the Shelf,
and they do the Santa, okay?
And I don't know of anyone personally, except for my mother,
and this is one of the reasons why,
I don't know of anyone personally that I've ever said,
I don't believe in Jesus because my parents told me about santa and he wasn't real and i never saw
him but how do i know jesus i've never met anybody that's because the holy spirit is so profound
santa doesn't have the holy spirit do you understand what I'm saying? Yeah. Like, the Holy Spirit is way different
and you'll sense his presence.
You know he's real and
like,
one is
definitely imaginary and the
other one we have a book about.
The Bible
and there's churches on every corner.
Like, the North Pole is supposedly
in one place. Do you know what I'm saying?
Like, to me, people have tried to say,
well, all you're going to do is make people not believe
what you have to say when it comes to Jesus, your kids.
I don't buy that.
I really don't, because there's such a drastic difference
between who the Lord is and pretending about Santa.
So I personally, I don't care if somebody says that, you know, their kids grow up and
believe in Santa. I don't care. And when my kids were growing up, I, there was a mandate. If we
went somewhere and kids believed in them, I'm like, shut your mouth. Don't you ruin it for them.
And my kids believe, believed in the tooth fairy,
but they didn't like the tooth fairy either.
Like, can you just put the money under our pillow?
I don't even want to think about somebody coming in,
sticking their hand underneath my pillow.
Do my kids have fear problems?
Probably.
I don't know.
They aren't big on uninvited guests.
Okay, fair enough.
But I don't know.
For me, it's not that big of a deal.
Again, I think there's ways.
If you feel convicted about it, I think there's ways to make it fun for your kids and for them to enjoy.
But if you want them to believe in it, I don't.
Like, my mom, like, when she found out that Santa wasn't real, it really bothered her.
She questioned, like, are my parents lying to me about that?
That's not the norm, though.
She's the only one that I've ever met that believed in Santa that felt like that.
The only one.
But I think that stems from other things with her parents, not just Santa,
to be truthful with you.
And I think she would probably tell you about that as well.
So, Trace. I'm pretty sure Alison still believes in Santa. Um, I don't care. I mean, if she found
out like it is what it is with the girls, I always just said, so I had Alison when my girls were nine.
So by the time, like the girls were starting to like question it, Alison was a baby. So it's kind of the same thing.
Like don't ruin it for her.
She's a baby.
But I always just said like,
I don't,
if you stop believing,
you stop receiving.
And we never like,
that's it.
Like we don't really talk about it.
Like Santa's coming.
And like,
it's just,
I don't know.
It's fun.
I loved it.
My parents didn't tell me I believed forever.
And when I found out like Christmas,
you're high,
probably.
No,
I'm just joking. I have no idea I
just remember being going to bed one Christmas and being like this sucks like this isn't even
fun anymore like I know my I didn't want to wake up in the morning I was like well like there's
nothing special that was Tom I think he believed into believed until he was 10 yeah I probably was
around the same age and then I just bummed and yeah and then I was like oh like I don't know
magic was gone it was and then yeah and then you just wake up and then you help your mom with the stockings
and you're like, this sucks.
But then you have kids and then it's special again.
But I don't know.
I just, I didn't question my parents after that happened.
I never was like, what are you lying to me about?
It was just fun.
It was just a fun thing.
And it's kind of a, it's not like a white lie because I don't believe any lie is good.
Yeah.
OK, I agree.
But it's like when you throw a party for somebody, a surprise party, and they're asking you about it.
I mean, are you going to go to hell because you're making up you're trying to do something special for them and you're not?
I don't think so.
You're trying to throw a fun surprise party for somebody.
You don't want them to find out.
So you tell them you're going to do this,
but they're going to find out eventually that you were like,
that you were just setting them up for a fun time.
So they're not going to be like,
it's not like a white lie where you're lying to somebody
because you don't want to hurt their feelings.
And so you're avoiding the truth.
This is like that to me.
Like it's not really, it's a truth that will be found. It's an it's an untruth that will be found out. And then
the child will be like, oh, you were trying to make something fun for me. I get it. Right. Right.
That's how I perceive it. That's why I'm like the same way. Is it a lie? Yes, it's a lie. But it's
not a lie that will never not be found out. Right. And I'm not trying to prevent it from happening.
If she finds out, like if she walked in, I'd be like, okay, well, we'll have to deal with that.
But I already did it with two, three other girls and everybody was fine.
Nobody had to go to counseling.
But if you feel convicted about it, like we did, then you need to stick to that conviction
because that's the Holy Spirit and you need to be obedient to that.
Yes, absolutely.
And people struggle with different things too. Some people people struggle with like magical stuff and they like are always
searching for like the weird magical side of things and, and that can, that can be not good.
And so I just, I don't know. It's just, it's never been like a really big deal to me and
I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. It's my thought. Yeah. Taliaia you still believe in Santa?
I'm sorry Talia she's 18
I think I was 11
and I didn't even
my mom didn't even mean
to like
let the cat out of the bag
I think we
ran into you at Walmart
and I found out
in the car
I found out in the car
because
she's like alright
you gotta help me
pick out like stocking stuff
and I was like
what are you talking about?
Santa's job
I was like yeah that's pretty much what my dad did too and then we ran into you and i was like what are you talking about that's santa's job i was like yeah that's
pretty much my dad did too and then we ran into you and i was like oh were you crying when you
ran into me i think i was just upset and you could tell oh i probably consoled you probably yeah
i probably did it but i i haven't used it against my mom.
I was just like, okay, whatever.
I guess I'll help you.
It's not like, again, I don't know.
Again, it's not like you're lying that you know that it's like when you're white lying, you hope you never are found out. Right.
And this, you know the truth will eventually be told, so it's not that big of a deal.
That's how I see it.
Tracy, I mean, Vanessa. This might shock you but i we did not no that's not shocked not shocked at
all not shocked at all i didn't grow up i didn't grow up with knowing i mean with santa in the
house so it was just kind of normal for us and we kind of went down your route where we were like let's pretend and so we all we always
did the traditions and we made cookies and we laid out the milk and we pretended and always like
encouraged them to like have fun pretending and not ruin it for other kids yeah but uh and so
by doing that there wasn't this like great letdown either, because from the jump, they just knew it was something to like enjoy and like pretend and have fun with.
But yeah, we just we chose early on that we weren't going to do the whole Santa thing, because for me, I just didn't want to like so any confusion in the future.
Yeah, that's probably your conviction of like, this is not right
for me. But if you never grew
up with it, listen, it's super
easy when you never grow up with it
because it's
totally different. I can imagine.
But my house at Christmas time
is all
Santa all the time. I mean,
for people who don't believe in Santa, we have
plenty of Santa. I mean, I got Jesus. got Jesus. So don't like have a fit. I got, I got my Jesus, but we also have Santa.
We have fun with it. You do. Yeah. Same. I mean, you go into my house and it looks like
Christmas threw up in there. Yeah. Like I love that stuff. Oh yeah. And when do you start
decorating Vanessa? In October. And when do you start watching, Vanessa? In October.
And when do you start watching the... Christmas in July.
Well, I'm actively watching Christmas movies right now.
And then I also celebrate Three Kings Day.
So it goes all the way to January.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
Because you're Puerto Rican and you can do that.
I'm Puerto Rican.
What's Kwanzaa? Man. What's Kwanzaa?
Man, what's Kwanzaa?
Because I could get into that.
Kwanzaa is African American.
I know.
I could get into that.
I could get into that.
I'm not kidding.
Oh, my gosh.
If it's longer, I'm there.
It's just one day.
Listen, Hanukkah is too short.
Oh.
What?
Hanukkah is eight crazy nights.
Well, no.
Listen.
You can get plenty of gifts and you play the games.
I get that.
But I want it to extend past Christmas.
That's what I'm talking about.
Oh, I gotcha.
Just keep going.
Boxing day?
Like you only get.
Boxing day.
Like by the 25th.
I mean, before the 25th, it's over.
I'm done then. I'm loving all the way up to the 25th. Yeah, to the 25th i mean before the 25th it's over i'm done then i'm loving all the way
up to the 25th yeah to the 25th i want to go past it though that's what i don't i want to it's over
yeah over too fast for me okay maybe i need to be puerto rican
yeah i wish do it i mean do it if men can be women and women can be men, why can't you be Puerto Rican? I'm going to identify as Puerto Rican.
I think that's okay.
I'm with you.
I will respect that.
That works.
What about you?
Oh, boy.
Oh, my gosh.
So I grew up having Santa, but I was the oldest kid.
And so I remember I blew it for my younger siblings
with the Easter bunny.
Something,
I said something about,
wow, you guys hid these eggs really good.
And then I like blew it up
for my two little sisters.
I tried to cover it,
but I don't know if it really,
if it really worked.
And then I did Santa Claus with my kids,
but also literally despised Christmas from beginning to end.
Really?
Because of how commercialized it is.
And there was one Christmas, though, where we were really struggling.
And some organization adopted our family.
And so we got all these gifts. and the kids got bikes and it was like
off the charts i was like santa is real like i didn't have anything to do with this and so
um that was awesome i have a funny story though when tempest was like eight or nine years old
she was like super on my nerves and was like would not relent and I was just like oh and by the way
Santa isn't real and so that's how Tempest found out if you want an insight into my parenting
that's me about seven years ago she was like what I mean all of our siblings did very good. They all knew,
but they were like keeping it safe and protecting her.
And I was like, oh yeah?
Mess with me.
This is what you get.
I'm going to take Santa from you.
I knew somebody who took away their kid's birthday.
Oh.
Their kid was being super naughty.
And I think it was the day before or the morning of.
I can't remember, but it was the day before
or the morning of their birthday,
and they were horrible, being horrible.
And they kept saying, you keep acting like this,
we're taking your birthday away.
Wouldn't stop.
So they're like, okay, your birthday, it's gone.
You don't have a birthday.
Okay.
Let's straighten that kid up real quick.
They didn't have a birthday that day.
They waited a couple days later and then they celebrated it.
So they still got a birthday.
Yeah, but they had to straighten up.
They ended up straightening up and behaving.
I mean, to me, that would be completely heartless if they fixed themselves.
Just skipped a year. That would be completely heartless if they fix themselves. Just skip the year.
That would be heartless if they actually fix themselves.
But if they were to still be a brat, you ain't getting it this year.
That's how it works.
You'll turn 10 next year.
That's right.
Or you are 10 now.
You just get nothing.
You get to turn the 10 and you get nothing while you're doing it
yep but i was pretty impressed i was like that's pretty good darn good idea because how bad that
kid was behaving i was like oh my gosh what a monster fix that problem fix the dragon let's
do the sponsor then we're gonna move into heaven what does heaven look like i love what does hell
look like lots of people don't know what the new heaven is going to move into heaven. What does heaven look like? I love that. What does hell look like?
Lots of people don't know what the new heaven is going to be like and what hell is actually going to be like.
So we're going to touch on that real quick.
Sponsor time.
Laura Keller and Real Estate Appraisal Associates of Southwest Florida, Inc.
has been in business since 2005.
She is a Florida State Certified Residential Appraiser,
and she has been for 24 years.
She has three locations, Lakewood Ranch, Port Charlotte, and Tampa, and she can assist almost anyone, anywhere.
She's one of the most trusted appraisal companies in southwest Florida and has done approximately 10,000 appraisals.
And she is approved by over 300 banks, lenders, government entities all over the United States.
Her company does appraisals for just about everything, residential properties up to four
units. They work with FEMA using the 50% rule, settling estates, probate situations, inherited
properties where the heir or heirs are not local and need the appraisal for their attorney,
step-up and basis appraisal for capital gains taxes, and they also provide assistance in selling property. So if you get
an appraisal for your house, I can guarantee you, you're going to get closer to the value you should
and almost always, just from past experience, you'll get closer to the value of what it's worth
and it'll sell faster it's just
the way it is and don't ever buy into somebody who's trying to give you a higher price so many
people take their home so personally and they believe they're worth so much more because there's
a personal investment into it like you've done so much to it you know it's your pride and joy but
the truth of the matter is the market will only give you what their market will allow so don't buy what a realtor is telling you just
because it sounds good because people i know this personally people will buy listings
based on telling you that the value is worth more than it is. And what happens is that house will sit on the market for months.
And all these other houses that are the right price sell,
you're still sitting on yours.
And then you end up selling it for what everybody else sold theirs
while you sat and wait.
And you'd have to keep lowering the value,
lowering the value,
lowering the value.
If you would have just priced it correctly
and not let somebody talk you into something that's not true,
you sold your home much quicker.
And listen, just coming from somebody who's had to sell their house,
only done it once, I'm just saying,
I hated having people walk through my house.
Having to keep it clean all the time, that is such a pain in the butt.
So get an appraisal.
It's worth it.
And when you do, call her.
Tell her that the Hope Hotline sent you, and she's going to give you a $50 discount.
It's worth its weight in gold.
I can promise you that.
Just from personal experience.
Appraisals are worth their weight in gold on many, many levels.
So let us go to the next question.
It says, after the tribulation,
what will heaven be like for us that get to go,
and what will hell be like for people who don't get to go to heaven?
Such a great question, man.
That is.
Such a great question.
And I'm going to use my Perry Stone for part of it.
All right.
Not just yet, but I will be.
So Revelations 21, a lot of people have no idea where they're going.
I know.
And how awesome it's going to be.
I mean, that's one of the reasons why people live like hellions
because they don't know what their future holds for them.
Yes.
Yep.
And they think hell's not real because a lot of books out there
are telling you there's no such thing as hell. There's a lot of denominations now teaching there's no
such thing as hell. There is. Open up your Bible. It's definitely there and you won't want to go.
Revelations 21, 1 through 5 in the New Living Translation. I love what it says. It's called
the New Jerusalem, which is new heaven and the new earth. OK, then I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared and the sea was also gone.
Why? Why is it gone? Because there's a thousand year reign where God is making a new heaven and a new earth for us.
And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
I heard a loud shout from the throne saying, look, God's home is now among his people.
He will live with them and they will be his people.
God himself will be with them.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. So that is John.
John, the beloved, wrote Revelation. So he goes on off of a vision that he's seeing, right? Revelations 21, 9 through 6. So if you want to know about the new heaven and
the new earth, 21, Revelations 21 and 22 specifically speak about this. Okay. And then there's other
places we're going to go into,
like Matthew and I believe it's Mark. They talk about it as well. But Revelation at the very last
two chapters tell you what's waiting for you. Revelation is 21, 9 through 26 says,
then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls containing the seven last plagues came and said to me,
Come with me.
I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.
So he took me in the spirit to a great high mountain
and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem,
descending out of heaven from God.
It shone with the glory of God
and sparkled like a precious stone, like jasper, as clear as crystal.
And the city wall was broad and high, the twelve gates guarded by twelve angels.
The names of the twelve tribes of Israel were written on the gates.
What are the twelve tribes of Israel?
Those are Israel's sons of Jacob,
who was renamed Israel.
Each of his sons,
those are the names of the tribes.
Does that make sense?
Ladies?
Yes.
Just like there'll be 12 disciples that sit.
So there's when judgment comes,
there's the 12 tribes,
each leader,
each son.
And then on the other side is the 12 disciples.
So there's 24. So prominent places in the kingdom. So on the gates, on each gate, the names of the
12 tribes of Israel were written on the gates. Israel is his people. They are his. That's God's chosen.
There were three gates on each side, east, north, south, and west.
And the wall of the city had 12 foundations, stones.
Can you bring up that one graphic where it has the foundation?
Right there.
Bring that one up while I read this.
Ah, take that scripture down real quick though.
So each foundation,
so the city is built on a foundation.
All right?
And each foundation is a different color.
Okay?
I was talking about this with someone this morning that I had a meeting with.
And each, if you looked at the breastplate of the priests in the Old Testament times,
they wore a breastplate.
And each, on that breastplate was a jewel.
There were 12 jewels, and the jewels were the 12 tribes.
So each of those foundational gems that you see will be on the breastplate of the priest.
So God is consistent. Like how he does things is consistent. That's how important Israel is to God.
And Israel needs to be important to us. But if you think about this, and I was telling this person this morning, like, if you think about how God makes the
foundation of the new city, out of the 12 tribes, each tribe of Israel, right? Abraham,
Abraham was told that you'll be the father of many nations.
What came from Abraham?
The 12 tribes.
The foundation of the world came from Abraham through Isaac through Jacob.
Jacob being renamed Israel, correct?
And his sons represent each one of those jewels, correct?
So even the new heaven is built on the foundation
from what the Old Testament,
it's a foreshadowing of things, guys.
God, it's not like,
if people think the Old Testament doesn't matter,
it absolutely does.
It foreshadows the New Testament in so much,
it goes all the way to the new heaven and the new earth.
So everything that was built on the foundation of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
consists with the new heaven, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Right. It's amazing. It's so beautiful.
So the wall of the city had 12 foundation stones and on them were written the names of the 12 apostles of the Lamb.
So now this gets to be where the disciples come into play, which is amazing,
because they are also foundational to Christianity.
When Jesus left, they were the ones that took the good news, right?
They're the ones that were the straight way.
They're the ones that started the new, like, the 5,000 in the night of Pentecost, converting people from the Jewish faith to Christianity.
So it's all, like, so foundational.
It's just, God is amazing. The angel who talked to
me held in his hand a gold measuring stick to measure the city, its gates, and its walls. And
you can go back to the verses if you want. And when he measured it, get this, when he measured it,
he found it was a square. So the new heaven is a perfect square, as wide as it was long in fact its length and its width and its height
were each 1 400 miles listen good thing i hope we can transport we will be able to
that's a lot of walking and i know you have a little walking thing that you wear on your hip
now finessa to track track to track how much you step?
She does.
But I don't know if you want to be
walking 1,400 miles.
Then he measured the walls. Get this.
He measured the walls and found them to be
216 feet thick.
216 feet.
According to
the human standard used by the angel.
The wall was made of jasper,
and the city was pure gold,
as clear as glass.
Anybody who knows anything about gold,
when it's perfectly refined, it's clear.
A good gold is not a yellow.
Perfect gold is clear.
The wall, so everybody thinks they're going to be walking on streets of gold
that are like yellow, but really
you're walking on streets of gold that are
clear, transparent.
What is that?
It's even better.
And the wall of the city was built
on foundation stones
inlaid with 12 precious stones.
The first was jasper, the second sapphire,
the third, you can put up the picture of the different jewels if you want while I read it.
No.
Hold on.
You can't see what she's saying.
That's it right there.
Perfect.
So the wall of the city was built on the foundation stones inlaid with 12 precious stones.
The first was jasper, the second sapphire,, the third, agate, the fourth, emerald, the fifth, onyx, the sixth,
carnelian, the seventh, chrysolite, the eighth, burl, and the ninth, topaz, the tenth, chrysophras,
I don't know, and the 11th, jacinth, and the 12th, amethyst. I mean, how beautiful is that going to
be? So cool. If you're a a jeweler you're going to be in your
glory the 12 gates were made of pearls so the gates are not regular gates the gates are pearls
and I think I have a picture of that did I bring give that to you yes so this is just kind of like
ideas of like that's a lifted gate. But the gates are pearl.
That's just like I tried to find things that our imaginations might be able to picture.
And the main street was pure gold as clear as glass.
And a lot of again, a lot of people don't realize they think streets of gold.
They think they're going to be like the Wizard of Oz.
You know, you're not.
It's clear glass.
But it's gold. It's perfect gold. I saw
no temple in the city for the Lord God Almighty and the lamb are its temple. You can bring it
back to the other. And the city has no need of sun or moon for the glory of God illuminates the city.
So there's no light because God is the light and the lamb is its light. The nations will walk in Amazing, huh?
Yeah. So let's keep going.
Revelations 22, 1 through 6 says,
You can put that other one up.
Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life clear as crystal flowing from
the throne of god and of the land it flowed down the center of the main street so i don't know what
the main street looks like but this is and this obviously wouldn't be yellow it'd be clear
on each side of the river grew a tree of life. And this is super interesting.
Bearing 12 crops of fruit with a fresh crop each month.
So cool.
The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations,
not because we're sick.
If you look deeper into that,
it's not for medicinal purpose
because you have sickness, illness, and disease.
It's way beyond that, which is just, God is so good.
No longer will there be a curse upon anything.
And listen, he even talks about us eating from,
and if you look in other scriptures, which I think I might have put in there,
but just in case, those trees are meant for us to eat on.
People don't think you'll eat there.
Like you'll never be hungry.
You might not be hungry, but you're going to eat the best food possible.
Those trees, every month, new fruit.
It's amazing.
So that's for us to eat.
No longer will there be a curse upon anything
for the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there
and his servants will worship him.
And they will see.
And those of you who'd like to stand
like a bump on a log
during worship on Sundays, well, you better start worshiping because that's what you're going to do
in heaven. For the throne of God and of the lamb will be there and his servants will worship him.
You might as well learn to do it. Just stop watching everybody and being a spectator.
Be a participant. It's super important. And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads.
And there will be no night there, no need for lamps or sun,
for the Lord God will shine on them, and they will reign forever and ever.
And then the angel said to me,
Everything you have heard and seen is trustworthy and true.
The Lord God who inspires his prophets has sent his angel to tell his servants what will happen soon.
So let's look at what is said about hell.
And I thought I did talk about where it said we would eat.
But I guess I didn't.
Let's look at hell.
Oh, hold on.
Let me show you this.
Hold on. You know what? If I have time, because we only have 12 seconds,
let's go to hell. Let's go. Not literally. Figuratively. Let's read what hell is like.
Again, you wouldn't want your worst enemy to go there. So Jude only has one chapter, right?
So it's Jude 6.
Jude 1, only one chapter, verse 6.
And the angels who did not keep their proper domain but left their own abode,
he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of great day. So there's chains in hell, and there's nothing but darkness.
Matthew 13, 49 says, through 50,
So it will be at the end of the age the angels will come forth,
separate the wicked from among the just,
and cast them into the furnace of fire.
There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
So it'll be fire.
It's a furnace of fire.
I don't know if you guys have ever stood next to a furnace.
Okay, well, this is like none other. It's super hot. Wailing and gn furnace of fire. I don't know if you guys have ever stood next to a furnace.
Okay, well, this is like none other.
It's super hot.
Wailing and gnashing of teeth. I've heard people who have talked about where they experienced hell came back to life.
And the screaming.
Like when they went on a plane.
I've heard a story that somebody died, went to hell, was allowed to come back,
and then went on a plane many, many years later,
and something was happening on the plane, and it looked like it was going down,
and everybody was screaming, and he was like, it was very similar,
but even not as bad as what they had experienced when they were in hell.
Thank you.
The fear.
If you're screaming like that, there's torment, which is what it says.
So you're screaming out of fear and pain.
And then gnashing of teeth.
Why do you gnash your teeth?
From pain.
From unbelievable pain. Why would you be from unbelievable pain.
Why would you be in unbelievable pain?
Well, there's multiple reasons.
Your thirst is never quenched.
There's things that are frightening you.
You are by yourself.
It is completely dark.
You can't see anything.
I've also read, but I couldn't find it
because I couldn't find it.
I was looking where it says the shame that you feel and you experience.
You're in shame.
And one of the reasons is because they say you're naked.
You're wearing no clothes.
So you're humiliated.
But you are isolated.
So there's not where you can even get with a group of your friends that, you know, you're all in hell together.
You don't even get to be because that's solitary confinement is the worst thing you can do get with a group of your friends that, you know, you're all in hell together. You don't even get to be, because that's solitary confinement is the worst thing you can do to
somebody and to torment them and torture them, put them by themselves. Mark 9, 47 through 48 says,
and if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. That's how serious Jesus was about sin.
Take your eye out if it's going to cause you to sin, because it'd be better for you
to enter into heaven with one less eye than to go to hell. It is better for you to enter the kingdom
of God with one eye rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire, where their worm does
not die. So you're tormented and worms are there and the fire is not quenched.
Matthew 8, 12 says,
but the sons of the kingdom will cast out into outer darkness
and there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Completely dark.
I mean, everybody hates the dark.
That's why we run to the light, right?
Except for roaches.
They love the dark.
It's true.
Matthew 25, 41. And I should
tell you something. Anything evil and disgusting loves the darkness. And that's where you're going
to be stuck with a lot of evil and nasty stuff. Matthew 25, 41 says, then he will also say to
those on the left hand, depart from me, you cursed into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his
angels. Listen, if it's bad for the devil, it's going to be bad for you. Revelations 20, 10,
and 15 says, the devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the
beast and the false prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Tormented. That means you will.
And anyone not found in the written book of life
will was cast into the lake of fire.
And it says they are tormented.
Luke 16, 23 through 24 says,
And being in torment in Hades,
he lifted up his head and saw Abraham afar off
and Lazarus in his bosom.
This is the rich man that Jesus gave as a parable, but truth.
And then he cried and said,
Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus
that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue,
for I am tormented in this flame.
So your thirst is never quenched.
I hate being thirsty.
Same.
I hate being thirsty worse than life itself.
Matthew 10, 28 says,
And do not fear those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul.
But rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
And the him is capitalized, meaning Jesus himself.
So soul and body, you'll never die. You'll just be in
constant torment and wish you were dead. And for us in heaven, I think one of the reasons why,
I mean, if I think, and I say this all the time, but that parable about father Abraham
and Lazarus, let him dip his finger. Well, clearly the rich man could see Abraham and Lazarus,
and he could see Lazarus in his bosom
because he knew that they were together.
And things being like glass,
I think one of the biggest things that will torment people
is because they will see us.
We may not see them.
They will see us, though,
and they will see what we live like as believers in heaven
and the luxury that we have and the torment.
That will torment them even more.
So, ladies, what do you want to say?
Do you have anything to say?
Sarah's very quiet.
Hell's real, people.
People don't think it is.
I think you hit it on the head.
I think a lot of people think it's going to be like a big party and everybody's drinking
and drunk and smoking weed and doing all this stuff down there.
So, uh, and partly cause they don't believe in it, but also partly cause nobody reads
this book and everybody thinks it's beyond their understanding.
And it, we just read it together and it's definitely not beyond anybody's understanding and it's real and it's 100 real yeah yeah it's not good
what sorry i'm doing all the no comment vanessa do you have anything you want to add maybe something
you've heard no i don't have anything to add but Tracy, you bring up a good point. Like, no
one reads. And so they're
imagining hell to be this, like, one endless
party. Or just
not as good as heaven. That's what I think people
think. It's just not going to be as good as heaven.
And you're
reading this, and I know
people in my life that are not believers
and are going to hell if they
died today. And it just,
it puts some urgency within me to like, I mean, I know people who have passed and are not saved,
were not saved. And I went out and I've known these scriptures for such a long time.
And whenever I find out, that's why I said to you when what's his face died, it bothered me.
That bothered me because I know know what hell is like.
And there are more scriptures.
Those were just fast.
There are more scriptures that talk about it even more.
We don't want our worst enemy to go there.
Absolutely not.
So soul winning is this Saturday at the church.
Make sure you're there.
Go ahead, Sarah.
Last year, I read a book by John Bevere called Driven by Eternity,
and I highly recommend it
because another thing that we have a hard time grasping
is what eternity is, like forever.
Oh, yeah.
And a picture that he uses in the book is,
imagine falling into a deep hole
that literally never ends and it it just the book was like it kind of gives you a picture
i know i remember you reading it and you love that book yeah it's a great book well it's written
like an allegory so it's like a kind of like a parable but a little bit more in depth than that
but he uses scripture i'm sure oh it's all scriptural based it's just like jesus when he
used his parables right people will say well that's just a story but it's based on truths yeah
so you can say it's just a story but it's still true people that are unbelievers or people that
maybe are like shy away from the bible because they think it's hard to understand they might be open to reading a book like this that's more story-based
that you know can what's the name of it again just in case people didn't get that driven by
eternity by John Bevere okay yeah it's real there's an audio part of that book as well because
it's a play in the beginning and so you can listen to it and it was actually created by the same person that did like the harry potter stuff so it's like
got these really cool like sounds and stuff it's very like interesting to listen to very dramatic
yeah yeah um but it's yeah it's a really good book yeah i read a really good book oh gosh 20 years ago plus 20 plus it's called 24 minutes in hell that's scripturally
based too but the the thing was is he never like he was just a realtor went to bed at night and for
24 minutes um he experienced hell and then god allowed him to go to heaven and he wouldn't even
talk about it for a while because he was just like, this is like, but the Lord told him, I, you experienced that for a reason to win people
to me. So, um, great book. You can also watch him on YouTube because he tells the story
and for him, he didn't want to talk about it because he didn't want people to think he was a
freak, a nut, you know? And he was like like because he was like a type a person everything was always perfect and
it still is probably but when you're like that you just have a sense you have a kind of thing
where you want people to look at you a certain way and you never ever want to be labeled as
as something opposite than somebody who has everything together and so um but it's a
really that's a great whether you believe it or not it doesn't matter because what he describes
if you take scripture because in the back of the book has loads of scripture that he put down to
to back up what he saw whether you believe it or. It doesn't matter because if it's in Scripture, it's in Scripture.
And that's what helped him because he was like,
okay, I didn't even know these Scriptures were in the Bible.
So he's like, whether it was a vision, a dream, or real.
But when he came out of it, when he woke up,
there were marks on his body from what he experienced.
And they have pictures.
What was that called again?
24 Minutes in Hell.
Is it Bill Wise? wise okay that's it so um but there's like uh one of my favorite tom's favorite i know talia loves and i think
other people do is you need to go and listen to jesse plan duplantis talk about his experience
in heaven yeah it'll radically change you i mean, fear will change people and get them saved, right?
But I think if you listen to Jesse Duplan
and his experience in heaven,
that'll challenge you to want to be saved.
Because I think both of them work equally the same.
They're both emotions and eventually they'll run out
unless you grab hold of what they're saying
and then implement the truth, which is the word of God and make life decisions that'll make you go in that direction.
So before we leave, we're going to just win you to the Lord.
If you don't know, we don't want you to go to hell.
No.
We want you to go to heaven.
Amen.
So if you don't know him today, say this simple prayer with me,
or maybe you walked away.
I mean, like, Vanessa's never walked away.
Tracy walked away.
Talia's never walked away.
And me and Sarah did.
So you got three and two.
Three of us understand people who've walked away
and got their lives right.
And then there's some of you who've never even gotten saved.
You'll relate to Vanessa and Talia.
Never been saved, but you won't walk away
after you make this decision.
The great thing with God is he can fix it all
no matter where you're at.
So let's say this prayer together.
Heavenly Father, I come to you right now.
I thank you for what you did on the cross.
I thank you for dying for my sins.
I thank you that I can repent and ask for forgiveness. I thank you that your stripes
that you bore on the cross heal me. And I thank you that you became poor so that I might be rich.
I ask you to forgive me of my sins.
I live for you.
You're the Lord of my life.
Whatever you tell me to do, I will do.
And whatever you tell me not to do, I won't do.
From this moment on.
In Jesus' mighty name we pray, amen.
Simple as that. You are saved. Get into a good
church. I would suggest you watch Foundation Church because really, unless you live in an
area, you can reach out to us and we can tell you wherever you live, if there's a good church. We
know of some. But other than that, watch Foundation Church. Tune in. She's got it right up there.
And tune in and we will see you on Sunday if you live
in the area. And if you need a Bible, we'll get one out to you. But be encouraged. And maybe,
just maybe, we'll play some replays next week of some really great podcasts instead of being gone.
That's, I think, the ticket, depending on what it takes in order to make that happen.
True. I'm not promising nothing after
last uh after last podcast let your word be your word let your word be your mind i ain't promising
squat smart yeah smart we don't lose their trust no i don't have a great weekend and we will see weeks. Bye! you you
