Well this seat feels really good to be back in to.
Been a long, was it three weeks, two and a half weeks?
Three weeks, I think it is.
It's not really been that long.
It actually went by just like that.
So fast.
Got a lot of stuff done.
Then I didn't get the stuff that I wanted to get done.
I didn't get that done.
I got everything done that I didn't want to get done.
Don't you hate when that happens?
Put everybody on, Heather.
Heather's in Tracy's seat, so that means
that I'm going to have to tell Heather
when to put them on because Heather doesn't like being on.
Very true.
So she dictates when she comes on,
whereas Tracy doesn't dictate anything.
She just knows whether she wants to or not.
They're on.
Truth.
Yeah.
You've given me that power.
No, you have no power.
This is my podcast.
You wish.
So ladies,
did you miss being on the podcast? I missed it.
Yeah, 100%. Totally. Sarah? Sarah's a ham. did you miss being on the podcast i missed it yeah a hundred percent yeah totally yeah sarah
sarah's a ham this will be really whether or not it's true or not sarah like you love like you love
the spotlight you don't mind the spotlight did you miss the did you miss the podcast it ruined
my life for the last three weeks i'm not not joking. Like, it really messed with my, I have like a schedule.
Oh, yeah.
And so.
If you're a schedule person.
I like to be like, okay, I'm done working at 2 o'clock so I can leave.
And it was like, no, you can, guess what?
You can keep working.
And I was, I didn't want to.
Because you wanted to come here.
Right.
I'd rather be here with you.
I love you, girl. I'd rather you be with come here right i'd rather be here with you i love you girl i'd rather
you be with me here too so i don't know if we'll i you know the only time we'll be taking off
like that and i don't know if it'll be like that again but it's because tracy and then all of them
were you guys were all gone like so how it worked is the first week, every single last one of them Yehus over there,
except for Sarah.
Not me.
Me and Sarah were here, but all of them are gone.
They went to the Rivers Youth and Fire Week for kids, too.
Next year, they're doing it adult, youth, and kids all together.
Pastor Rodney's figuring that out.
So it's all going to be one at the same week instead of two weeks,
which is fantastic.
Yeah, like it's going to be.
That's exciting.
That is exciting.
I had a feeling he was doing that because he was like,
parents will be super excited when he was talking before he officially announced it.
I was like, I think that's what he's doing.
Listen, that was a wise decision.
Because people, and this is what he didn't like.
And I totally understand his.
He had pastors who couldn't come to his minister's conference
the following week because they brought their youth.
Because some churches are small, so they had to pick youth or them.
So they picked going and supporting their youth.
So he's like, oh, we'll just do it so everybody gets to come at the same time
and nobody's got to pick, which is really great.
And then for the parents, it's great for them because they're not stuck like people who have kids and kids ministry.
They have nowhere to go.
They're like having to sit around and wait on their kids to come out.
Now that you guys have somewhere to go.
You can go on the balcony.
Yeah, you can go on the balcony, but you really like don't have anything to do.
Do you know what I'm saying?
You're just, some people drop their kids off and have to come back.
But you can, but this now, they can go be ministered to while their kids are being ministered.
Fantastic. It's fantastic. Yeah. But the thing is, is I think the kids get the sanctuary and
the adults are getting in tent outside while the youth get the, she's excited. I'm not excited
about that. No Brinley. No Brinley is? Yeah, Brinley is.
So that's really good.
So that was the first week.
The second week, Vanessa was gone to Hawaii, correct?
How was that trip?
Amazing.
I'm requesting when we go to Glory, right, when that day comes,
that I am reloc Stop at Hawaii first.
That I am relocated to Hawaii.
You obviously haven't read
what the new heaven in the earth looks like.
I did that while you were gone.
No, I didn't.
I think you were here.
She doesn't know her Bible, people.
It's okay.
Yeah, that, your pictures look great.
No, yeah. It was beautiful. Yeah, your pictures look great.
Oh, yeah.
It was beautiful.
Tracy was still going to Mass.
She's on her way back right now. Okay, so then the following week, we could have been back together,
but Vanessa and Talia decided to go up and be with Tracy in Massachusetts.
So we still couldn't have been back together.
Sorry. So even if I't have been back together.
So even if I wanted two people be here for you,
people weren't here for me.
Okay?
And that's really what it's all about.
Being here for one another.
But when somebody's not there for you,
right, Sarah?
Yes.
Yeah.
I don't know where I'm going with this, but we're all back.
Okay, so let's do this thing.
So, Heather, okay, listen.
I'm just going to tell you.
The ladies' conference.
Heather's going to talk about this.
You got to sign up.
Heather.
Yes, ma'am.
Honey, I'm going to make a prize for,
let's do a prize, a nice prize.
What number are we at, Heather, right now?
Give me a second.
We're going to get the real live number. Yeah, I'm looking at the live number currently.
Actually, don't tell what the number is.
Oh.
Give it to me with your fingers so I know.
Do you want the conference or the breakfast?
The conference?
No, I just want the conference.
Okay, ready?
Yeah.
Hold on.
Say that one more time.
I knew this was going to be a what?
Yeah, that's what I thought it was.
Okay.
Just want to make sure.
I'm like, I'm pretty sure I saw that.
But then I was like, did she throw up a different finger?
It was the second one.
Gotcha.
Maybe.
Okay.
So.
Where are you going with this?
I'm going to give a prize.
I'm going to give a prize. I'm going to give prizes out.
I'm going to give out to the closest, a number that's close.
So people start signing up because people are not signing up.
I mean, they are.
We have a good number registered.
I'm just saying.
I'm going to do a number that's close to this so people can potentially win.
So we're ahead of where we
were at last year. By a lot. By a lot. But 250th person, the 250th person to sign up
wins a prize the first night. They have to be there the first night. Yeah, they have to be there, though, to win, right?
You have to be here.
I mean, come on.
Yes.
Absolutely.
Or it goes to 251.
Right.
Yeah, I'll keep going until the right person.
But we'll announce who that is.
And then we're going to jack it up.
And we're not, listen, just so you know,
I didn't raise the number up far from where we're at.
So literally.
You might want to sign up.
Sign up today, guys.
You don't know.
I mean, I'm not telling you that I'm not at 249.
And I said it at 250.
Just so you know.
I'm not saying that.
I'm just saying it's not far from that.
So it's an easy win for somebody.
Yeah, for sure.
So start registering.
If you plan to come start registering so then i'm gonna raise it to the next highest number i mean next close number
and they have to register separately for the breakfast too they should know that like yeah
you put it put them on you want me to go when people are talking that that's your cue, Heather. Got it. No, that's not what I want.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, no.
Normally she reads my mind.
Sorry, I didn't understand that.
Enter into this brain.
Like Satan entered into Judas.
Enter into my brain.
She's so gracious. Very graphic.
Okay.
Go ahead.
What were you saying, Sarah?
I don't know now.
I scared you.
It's right in Judas. Register for the breakfast. I scared you. Register for the breakfast.
You have to register separately for the breakfast.
Yes.
And I have a question about this.
Yes.
Will it be served to people this year so that we don't have a repeat of the chicken and waffle situation from last year?
Yeah, people actually don't get to serve themselves this year.
You know, it's always, yeah, I know.
I cannot tell you how many people,
like when I told the caterer that we ran out of food,
he's like, that's not possible.
And I'm like, oh, it'd be possible.
And he's like, did people serve themselves?
Yeah.
They did.
He goes, okay, that helps.
That explains it.
Because we ordered more than the
people that actually attended we ordered more and listen now that they've tried it
they're gonna want more than one yeah so we will be serving it always it's just a few bad apples
that spoil it it's sad to say but whatevs but yeah people will be served food this
year so everybody gets something so you'll want to be there for those who didn't get food last year
there'll be food for you i was disappointing i think logan was pregnant and like dying
because she didn't get anything like Like she was at the end.
Yeah.
And she's like,
I almost left
to go get McDonald's.
And I'm like,
that is,
that takes me off.
That people are that.
And like.
The people were throwing stuff away.
I know.
She wanted to go into the trash.
Tara almost went into the trash
because she got nothing.
I thought she did.
She might have.
She told me she wanted to
and maybe she didn't.
She was picking off of other people's. Oh, going to people. Yeah. I thought she said, I thought she me she wanted to, and maybe she didn't. She was picking off of other people's plate.
Oh, going to people.
Yeah, I thought she said she wanted to, but she didn't.
But, I mean, pretty sad when people threw away food, perfectly good food,
and others got nothing, and they were, like, starving.
Not cool.
But that was funny when Magalas and Adalas were like, we did that, too.
We learned you don't do that.
People.
When you know better, you do better.
That's right.
Yep.
Well, really, I mean, we shouldn't have to know better to do better.
Actually, people should be socially like.
It's etiquette.
Aware.
Yeah.
Socially aware.
Some of us eat more than others, though.
I mean, listen.
Not when you're throwing it in the trash.
So you get some, and then if there's...
Yeah, if there's...
After everyone is served, like, I don't know.
Go back for seconds.
Maybe we should teach an etiquette class.
Mm.
Hey, Sarum's got her school.
Her virtuous school.
On Thursdays.
She should do etiquette one night.
I think she's going to like how to do table settings and stuff. Maybe she needs to
teach social skills.
That's what I was thinking.
They're called social skills or
training.
Social training.
I used to be, back in the day,
I used to be like, when you look at
a kid, they weren't trained well.
They ain't trained up well.
It's true.
You know?
It's being proper.
That's all.
Just being proper.
Eye contact.
A firm handshake.
Very important.
Yeah.
All things.
All things.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
So, yes.
250th person.
I wrote it down.
We will, as soon as you sign up, and we will let you know, hopefully on Friday.
And then Friday, well, it should be pretty easy.
That one should be pretty dang easy for people to get.
Like, pretty easy.
So we'll announce the winner, and then they can get their prize on Thursday night. I think you should pick a low
number of someone who didn't procrastinate
and signed up early. What a great idea!
So that all of us who do what we're told
without having to be prodded into it
can also get a prize.
Let's get them to sign up and give them a prize.
How about for the
people that we haven't had to tell over and over? Let's get them to sign up and give them a prize. We are going to do that. But like, how about for the people that we haven't had to tell over and over?
So let's do three right now.
I'll do three numbers of people.
Are we doing this live?
We're going to do it right now.
I'll pick three numbers.
Or I'll pick a number.
What an exciting podcast today.
No, I'll let this.
We'll let Sarah pick a number, Vanessa pick a number, and Taya pick a number.
That's a lot of pressure.
Hey, Heather.
I'm writing it down.
You guys saw her number that she
gave right okay so you're gonna do let's do Sarah let's do you from zero to well
I'm gonna go lower than what actually much lower than the numbers because we'll
reward the ones that so you do
zero to 75 perfect you do 75 to 125 and you do 125 to 200 because we still have way over that
but those people that did over 200 all those over 200
they still didn't do it as early as the ones we just said but i will tell you that our first
people started back in june people registered in june i love june 23rd thank you because it's
going to be a great like it's going to be so like over like, it's going to be so, like, over the top.
Vanessa's on the decorating team, and, like, it's amazing.
It's amazing, and just it's going to be a good time, guys.
And Heather and I went shopping on Monday.
Door prizes are pa-pow.
Yeah.
They're, like like ones you want.
And even if you volunteer, I told Heather, I mean, they're so dang good this year.
They're always good.
I said to Heather, I'm like, your name, you're picking the raffle ticket.
So anybody that does anything is getting, because a lot of people that work it, they're
like, no, no, or whatever.
I'm like, uh-uh. These are good.
These are sweet door prizes.
And like Saturday, we do extra on the door prizes.
So it's going to be good.
So what's your number?
Zero to 75.
I already had it picked out before you told me my range.
Confirmation.
74.
Woo!
Wow.
I can't see who that is
right now, but I will get the names. No, no, no. We'll do it on
Friday. You'll give me the names. Okay.
So what's yours, Vanessa?
98. Oh.
I love it.
And what's yours?
143.
Okay, I wrote them down.
Okay, so Friday, tune in because we'll tell who those people are.
They'll get their prize on Thursday night, along with the person who gets $250.
Let me write all this down so we do it.
You got this, Heather?
Thursday night, opening night.
Got it.
Yep, so you'll need to be there on opening night to get your prize.
And if you're not, that's okay.
Because what we'll do is we'll give it to the person that is.
Yeah.
Next.
Next.
That's okay.
Well, on Thursday night, people should be here.
Like, I can see them maybe not being able to come on Friday because of work.
But, I mean, you should make it to the two evening ones for sure.
And Saturday is going to be awesome.
Also, I have an idea for a door prize,
but I'm going to talk to you about it.
And then if you like it, we can share it on Friday.
Because it wouldn't cost us anything,
and I think people would love it.
I already know what you're going to say.
Will people love it?
Yeah.
I think so, yeah.
You all know about this, and I know.
No, I mean, she didn't tell me.
But she told us.
But I'm pretty sure that I know what you're talking about.
I'm the last to know.
Can I?
You're the last to know.
I'm always the last to know.
People are always afraid to tell me.
Okay, can I hear?
I can't hear you.
Crap, Ola.
Behind the scenes.
Okay, so now all the girls are taller, just so you know. I was right, for the scenes. Okay, so now all the girls are taller.
Just so you know.
I was right for the record.
This chair doesn't go taller.
That chair won't go taller.
Yes, it does.
I've tried.
It's broken.
It's broken.
We'll have to get you a seat.
Well, go roll.
It's okay.
Erin's over there.
I like my feet to be able to touch the floor.
This is not your podcast, Sarah.
This is Hope's podcast.
Oh, I'm sorry.
That's what Heather's like.
Heather was like, I'm not raising my chair.
I'm like, Heather, this is not your podcast.
This is my podcast, and I want to see your face.
But you can see my face.
I can.
True.
Otherwise, you'd be rolling that chair of Erin's over.
I would raise my chair.
I need to see faces.
I can see expressions.
Yeah.
From eyeballs up?
Well, when you smile, I can tell.
Okay.
But then I can see.
She's smiling right now.
I mean, it does help I can see you on the camera.
But when the camera's not on, then I can't.
I need to see it.
All right.
What are you guys laughing at?
We were trying. I said, can you smile without your eyes? And then when I need to see it. All right. What are you guys laughing at? We were trying.
I said,
can you smile
without your eyes?
And then when I did it,
it looks creepy.
But then she said,
can you smile
without your cheeks?
And that was even weirder.
So.
Oh, no.
You can always tell
when somebody's smiling
from their eyes.
Always.
Oh, my gosh.
Sarah, you are weird looking.
That is weird looking.
Don't do it.
Okay, Heather.
Yeah. When you do your thing, do you know what to do? We'll looking. Don't do it. Okay, Heather. You do your thing.
Do you know what to do?
We'll see.
Let's give it a whirl.
All righty.
All right.
So we want you to, I don't know if this is where we start, but this is where I'm starting.
That's where we always start.
You got it right.
If you are watching on Facebook, we want you to like and share and comment.
If you are watching on YouTube, you can comment.
Listen, I'm not a social media girl. So if I'm ladies let me know i'll let you know okay um and then black robe tv you can watch
on there we also have the apple audio podcast and then our number one that we prefer though is rumble
so if you're not on rumble don't be Give it a try. I actually signed up the other night when I was watching Tom's podcast at home.
I was like, let me just make a thing.
So next level for me.
Yeah.
I'm pretty impressed.
Yeah.
So if I can do it, you guys can absolutely do it.
Okay.
So that's pretty much that.
You want me to announce the conference again?
Yeah. Okie dokie.
We just talked about it so much.
Okay, Victoria's conference
is coming up October,
August 22nd through the
24th.
Thursday night
we are having Pastor Hope speak.
Doors open at 6
and it will start with worship at 7.
Friday morning it begins at nine
hey since you're in charge of food you want to tell them what what they might get as food what
they're eating yeah do you want to do that heather's in charge of all like of the on not
entrees the hors d'oeuvres i can't beforehand yeah I can so doors open at six but you can start you will be
able to get food if you come in at six do you get food right away you do as soon as the doors are
open we'll have food available to snack so the only day that it's actually a full meal will be
Friday morning yeah but the other, there will be something every night
that you can have or every morning, but don't come prepared to have like a full course meal
because it's just snacks. Yeah. Those nights. I was trying to look to see what I have because
I can't remember off the top of my head. I know one of them. What's nights? What's night? Thursday
night. Let me see if I can remember. I just did this yesterday.
Is it Sarah and Chris?
Oh, yeah.
Do you want me to, like, tell details?
Yeah, you can tell people what they can plan on.
So we're having Sarah, who attends our church, not the Sarah in the peanut gallery, but a different one.
She is doing homemade, hand-dipped Rice Krispie treats and chocolate.
To the theme.
To the theme.
So everything will be very beautiful.
And then we're doing chocolate-dipped Oreo cookies, chocolate-dipped pretzels.
And there was one other thing.
She's probably, if she's watching this.
Is it cake pops?
Yes, it's cake pops.
Yes, cake pops.
So that's night one.
And then Friday morning is our big breakfast.
Are we talking about what that is again?
Yeah, we can tell.
We can say we can do it.
Why not?
Next level.
We are bringing back chicken and waffles and lots of others that we had last year.
Sorry, laughing at Brindley.
She's very excited. Brindley. She's very excited about the chicken waffles.
Brindley's very happy about that.
Chicken waffles, everything we had last year as well.
So that will be the one where it's a full meal.
Come hungry.
I mean, first of all, he goes out of his way because he doesn't serve breakfast for us.
The restaurant that we get it from, which is Daryl's.
But then Logan, because Logan didn't get it.
You kind of like Tara and Logan. You kind of just got to bring it back for them because
they were dying.
They really wanted, I mean, Logan really wanted it.
I thought everyone, I was going to say whoever didn't get any last year, they get to go first
this year.
Actually, we should do that.
Just to bless them.
Who didn't get chicken and waffles?
Okay, you're first.
Yeah, we should try and do that. Don't bless them who didn't get chicken and waffles okay you're first yeah yeah yeah we should try and do that don't you dare lie jesus is watching um yeah for some reason i can't
find it but yeah so the next night friday night we're having pretzels yeah um from a local company
so we're shopping local and they are a great company.
Went and tried it out.
They're super yummy.
We'll have a couple different flavors of that.
And then Saturday morning.
And dips.
And dips.
So you get your pretzel,
a variety of pretzels with,
I mean,
like it's like not,
they're not anti-ans.
They're like.
But they're hand rolled.
They're going to be baked here fresh in our kitchen.
And they're gourmet. Yeah. Yeah. They're gourmet. Small're hand rolled. They're going to be baked here fresh in our kitchen. And they're gourmet.
Yeah, they're gourmet.
Small batch gourmet.
Yeah.
And we're doing like a basic salted with mustard and then a cinnamon sugar with a glaze and a garlic parmesan, which was really yummy.
So super healthy.
Oh, yeah.
Right up everyone's alley for their diet.
We're not.
Is that Friday night?
Listen, there's no calories when it comes to Jesus.
On Jesus conferences, there's no calories.
Jesus conferences are calorie free.
Calorie free.
And then what else?
Saturday morning, we're doing little mini cheesecakes for breakfast.
Chris Zook.
Because we can.
And then we're going to do some danishes
and some fruit and granola,
another fruit and granola
bar, and then possibly
some avocado and toast
and make your own little snackies
in the morning.
That's that.
I don't think I covered all the dates and times,
but they're here on the screen. Oh, I guess if you're listening
online, you can't see the screen.
So Friday morning, 9 a.m., doors open at 8.30.
Friday, that says Friday a.m. twice.
That's not correct.
Yeah, because the breakfast is at 9 a.m.
It is correct.
Just kidding.
If you're not registered for the breakfast, please do because you won't be able to attend unless you register.
Because it's limited seating.
Limited seating.
If you're not going to make it to that, then it will start at 1030.
Doors will open at 10.
And then Friday night, doors open at 6, starting at 7.
And then Saturday, 10 a.m., which we're bringing back the family fluid.
The family fluid is coming back.
It's coming back.
That's right and then next on the list here is
if you have any questions please send them in to ask hope at hope hotline.com
and then we have merch which you've seen before um shirts hats cups spoons
it's quite a collection that's going on there tommy says my logo my son tommy he's like
mom you got the best one i think tom's is pretty great tom's logo yeah i know he's like mom that's
like like that's the best so creative i'm like son. I appreciate that. I didn't create it.
It's like, who did?
I want them.
Tell me.
I need them.
But yeah, I think Tom's is best.
Like that face thingy.
But he could literally never get rid of,
like the goatee is now like he has to have that
for the rest of his life.
Well, you know what?
Like he went and our neighbor had,
were you home for that? No, you haven't been home, Heather. I was on
my way here. Today?
Yeah, I went and got him his lunch
and when I was bringing his lunch
to him, he was in
the F-250
backing into our neighbors, which
he looked...
He looked good. He was backing
in to help out.
Ew.
No, you don't ew.
Wait, the neighbor said that?
No, he was backing in to help the neighbor.
The neighbor had their tree person get stuck.
Oh, gotcha.
Yeah.
And my husband came to save the day.
And he looked pretty bad, like in that F-250 with that.
I don't think he'll ever get rid
of it he looks bad travis looks like a different person when he shaves his face he looks like he's
18 yeah he looks like a little boy where'd you come from it's like a little boy like my child
or some facial hair heather heather is there a way that you can show i listen I'm we're we haven't been listen guys I'm really
sorry there may be no questions
today praise the lord
we haven't really been together
we haven't really all been together
since we all got back like
in the same room Heather can
you find that picture which one
the one of you that you just
sent me of you
and Travis where you look like Brinley and Travis looks like Creighton.
Maybe.
Okay, Heather, all you got to do, you don't need to download it.
You can put it up to the camera.
I will allow that.
Normally, I don't let Tracy do that.
I don't allow it.
I might be able to do it.
Let me see if I have it here.
I'll pull it up because you just sent it to me and Tom.
And I was like
that's the Heather
and Travis I remember. Little babies.
Oh yeah. I have it.
Oh my gosh. Just hold it up to the camera.
Just hold it up to the camera.
I'll do it.
Careful.
Oh my gosh.
I was trying to think how old we were.
I want to say we were 19 and 20.
I think.
Where are you going?
Talia's having issues.
She's stuck.
Oh my gosh.
Poor thing.
Hold on.
You got to get it so it's not blurry.
I'll hide the camera.
Look at them.
There it is.
Is that like crazy? Yeah, it's crazy. Aw. There it is. Is that, like, crazy?
Yeah, it's crazy.
They're babies.
Babies.
Yeah, you're good.
Babies.
Isn't that amazing?
When I saw that, I'm like, I told Norma, I showed Norma, I'm like, that's, that's, well, you remember Sarah.
You remember, because they're all from the same town,
but we're all from the, well, I'm not from this town,
but we're all been here for so long.
But oh my gosh, that's crazy.
Sarah, you got to pull up a picture of you.
Because Sarah, you sent that to her, right?
No, Sarah Goodwin.
Oh, Sarah Goodwin did.
That's wild to me.
I'm just saying.
The other Sarah.
The other Sarah.
That's just, that like took'm just saying. The other Sarah. That's
just, that like took me
back. To your backyard?
Yeah, to my backyard when they got
married in my backyard. Secretly.
No one knew.
Nobody knew.
The house we live in now and then they end up being
my neighbors. God is good.
So good.
Alright, are we ready for question?
Sure.
Alright. Nobody wants to do questions.
We all want to be together, but we don't really
want to answer your questions.
That's not the point of the podcast, ladies.
I think it's just these questions, maybe.
You only know about one.
It's because I answered
this question before. Oh, do you know about the others? Yeah. Which I haven's because I answered this question before.
Oh, do you know about the others?
Yeah.
Which I haven't, I've only had two.
I've only been able to answer two
because this one is going to take a while.
And this one did take a while
because I had to break it down to the Hebrew
to answer the main questions.
So let's read it.
It says, Hi Hope and Peanut Gallery.
I have listened since the first podcast, which is pretty amazing. the main questions. So let's read it. It says, High Hope and Peanut Gallery.
I have listened since the first podcast,
which is pretty amazing.
That's legit.
And they don't even live in town. That was pre-live and pre-Peanut Gallery,
by the way.
Truth.
I didn't even think about that.
When you were anti-live.
Yeah, I was very anti-live.
But again,
Tom is right every now and then. i give him props for that he was right in this he i do prefer live oh yeah way better
than pre-recording but um and you know something as you do something it always develops into its
own thing and you just have to be willing and that's one of
the things Tom told me he's like like when you do because Tom's evolved his has evolved right
you don't know how you kind of have an idea of what it'll look like but you know it
the odds are it's not going to stay like that you just don't know how it'll kind of morph and um
so I love how it is how it's evolved because it's kind of been like how i
wanted to be somewhat to be to begin with it just didn't go exactly the way i thought which i'm
really happy with the way that this thought has gone but thank you um i don't know exactly who
this is but thank you for being a consistent watcher for two years now, like going on two years.
That's pretty awesome.
And watching all of them, I love you for that.
Due to work, I have to listen to the recordings,
but I enjoy listening.
I am in the state Tom says everyone wants to move to,
which is Tennessee.
I mean, I would love a place in Tennessee.
I don't want to live in Tennessee.
But to go and visit, I'm there.
I wish I were closer and could come to church there.
We did visit when Jonathan was there.
So that was November of two years ago.
In November of two years.
My question is about the firmament mentioned in Genesis 1, 6 through 8.
It says God separated the waters about the firmament mentioned in Genesis 1, 6 through 8. It says,
God separated the waters with the firmament. From what I've researched, firmament means dome. And that's mainly what I'm going to focus on today about what, that's why it took me so long.
Because your main question, as we go, you're going to hear her, this is a her, I think.
I don't know. I don I think. I don't know.
I don't know.
I shouldn't.
How do I know it's a her?
I don't think it refers like that.
So it could be a him.
Sorry.
I might be thinking of another question where it kind of tells me.
But whatever.
So I mainly focused on answering the word firmament.
But it says, if God separated the low waters from the upper waters with a dome,
does that mean space is really water?
Also, the Bible says man was starting to build the Tower of Babel to reach the heavens.
If we are in a dome and we take the Bible literally, isn't it possible that a man was building a tower to heaven?
Genesis 11.4 is also referenced.
She or he is saying, we don't know what technology they had,
which is, I guess, the Tower of Babel is Genesis 11-4.
Then example, Coral Castle
and how he was able to move stones
that weighed tons with no machinery and no help.
I don't know who Coral Castle is,
but from what I understand,
it may be wrong,
the dome separated the lower heaven from
where God lives. We are in a dome and God hung the moon, stars, and sun. And the Bible says the stars
will fall from heaven to earth. Could mean that it isn't an ever-expanding space that we've been
told, but hung in the dome. Genesis, I'm going to touch on these three verses. Then we're going to
also talk about the one where the scripture talks about the
sun, moon, and stars. But in Genesis 1.16, Revelation 6.13, Matthew 24.29, from my research,
this isn't necessarily provable, but the universe is expanding. I've also read that
they can't prove gravity is real. I'm not getting into gravity. I'm like, how do we know the earth is actually
spinning or maybe the dome circles around us? How could science know how far away the sun really is?
I guess what I'm saying is, and this is what I'm going to answer for you because you're not,
you're not really, the gravity and everything, what I'm going to talk to you about is your last
question and the one that I mentioned at the beginning. I guess what I'm going to talk to you about is your last question
and the one that I mentioned at the beginning.
I guess what I'm really saying is that I don't feel like what we are told about the universe
lines up with the Bible if I understand it correctly.
So we're going to study out the word firmament because you're saying that in those scriptures,
firmament means dome.
Okay?
So that's what we're going to talk about so that we can prove whether or not what you feel like we are being told about the universe lining up with the Bible.
And if you understand it correctly.
So let's look at scripture.
You referenced Genesis 1, 6 through 8, and let's
read that. Then God said, let there be a firmament, remember that word, in the midst of the waters,
and let it divide the waters from the waters. Thus God made the firmament and divided the waters,
which were under the firmament from the waters, which were above, firmament, that I said to remember,
and when you're studying out your scriptures, that word firmament there,
it is referenced as the word expanse.
Okay?
Not right there.
Wait.
Not right there yet.
Hold on one second, Heather.
You said when I say the word, do it.
No.
No.
I said the word berkia.
Okay.
That's what I was referring to.
Gotcha.
We're on the same page now.
We didn't practice before we started.
No.
We never practiced before we started.
It's all good.
That word expands.
Now, let me go back to what your question was.
Remember, you said, let me go find it
you said right up here
if God separated
waters with the firmament from what I've
researched firmament means dome
okay and what that
scripture you quoted to
me to use
it when it talks about that I'm going to show you in the hebrew that
actually doesn't mean dome that means expanse which would go back to what you mentioned
a little bit further in where you were talking about about Genesis 1.16, Revelation 6.13, Matthew 24.29 from my research,
this isn't necessarily provable that the universe is expanding.
Just that one word in Genesis 1.6, what does that word mean?
Expanse.
What does expanse mean?
Expanding.
Okay?
So let's keep going.
So, Heather, I messed up, Heather.
I mean, I got my thingy all jacked up.
Now, berkia, if you go to that word expanse in Genesis 1-6 for firmament,
it means berkia in Hebrew.
Okay?
Now, I'm going to look at what you guys are looking at
instead of my computer.
And it shows you,
now this is where studying the Hebrew and the Greek
is extremely important
when you're going to, like,
try and prove why you believe what you believe.
And I'm talking about,
I'm not even talking about a flat earth gravity.
I'm talking about as simple as healing.
Because people take the word sozo and they screw it all up.
But if you look at the word healing in the Bible, it actually is the word sozo.
Sozo not only means like salvation, it also means healing.
And people will tell you that healing is gone and has passed,
that that was for back in the day.
There are many doctrines that preach that we don't know if he will,
if God will, but if he does, he does.
If he doesn't, he doesn't. Well, if you take the word salvation or
healing and things like that, or repentance, there are certain words in the scripture that
so-so represents, and that word so-so will also be healing and salvation together. So if you provide salvation today, salvation is still today
for today. Everybody believes that. All doctrines believe that. And then they'll tell you healing's
not for today. It could be, but we don't know. Well, that sozo word totally changes what they
believe. It means that if salvation is for today,
and that word healing goes with it, that means that healing's for today. Does that make sense,
ladies? Yes. So it does away with people's theologies. That's their theology. That's
not the word of God. And that's where people get very messed up in what they believe. We don't believe what we believe. We
believe what the word says. And that's why you have to study to show yourself approved. You have
to know the word. You might like this took me studying this out because you wanted to know
what firmament meant. Okay. This took me probably two hours. It doesn't go fast guys, but like I
wanted to know, like before I told you yes or no, what it
meant. And you gave me scriptures that you wanted me to go for and study out for you. Like I have
to know. And it took me a couple hours. But guess what? I learned. And people will too if you take
it and break things down in the word. Super important. So if you take that word,
because this is Genesis 1.6, firmament,
and then you see other scriptures that you also reference,
which is Genesis 1.14,
they also, when you see those words, firmament,
they also are the same in the Hebrew, brokia.
They all mean the same thing.
It's expanse in the new
American standard. Let there be lights
in the expanse of the heavens.
The King James refers
to it as let there be
lights in the firmament of
the heaven. And then
in the
what is
that one called?
Interlinear?
Interlinear.
Thank you.
I'm like, oh my gosh, I cannot remember.
Interlinear Bible.
It refers to that same word as expanse. So when you see firmament in those, when you see firmament in Genesis 1-6,
it's the word berkia in Hebrew,
and it means expanse or firmament,
but at the end of the day, it means expanse.
It does not mean dome.
Okay?
I just closed myself out.
Let's keep going.
Matthew Henry commentary.
Now this, I'm telling you, you may not like commentaries,
but it would do you well to look at commentaries
of theologians that know Greek and Hebrew,
that understand what was going on in the times
of all of particular scriptures and things like that so they take a
lot of time to read and to break down and they might take you from one place to the next place
to the next place i mean let me ask let's put sarah on and all of you guys i know sarah's like
a like a digger how many of you you guys dig when you go into the word,
you're digging and you're going all over the place?
Heather, I thought Heather was too.
I mean, I know you study out the word,
but I didn't know how much of the Greek and Hebrew
you do the trails and stuff like.
None of that takes any, like that takes time.
Like a one verse can take you,
I'm not exaggerating.
Some people spend days on one verse. Like Andrew Womack can spend
one day on one verse. Like I did one verse and it took me two hours. That led me on a trail.
Right? It's easy. And it goes by like that. Yes. You're like, I've been sitting here for an hour
and 15 minutes. Yes. Nothing. Like when you did your righteousness, which I
think you're still on righteousness. Yeah. Yeah. But when you did the righteousness,
that took you to the fruits of the spirit, correct? Correct.
Like that's how much everything is intertwined and interconnected. And a lot of people have no
idea until they start, but it's, it's fascinating. And it really shows you how God is, like, he's not that complicated.
It is actually that simple, but it's very deep.
Yeah, it's infinite.
Like, you can study one verse forever.
Like, there's no end to the depth of what you can get from the word of God.
It's so true.
And you get different revelation every time.
All the time.
It's never the same.
I agree.
You think it is and then you're like, wait,
how come I don't remember this like this?
And whatever you knew before,
that revelation takes you to a new revelation because you have a deeper
understanding.
It's just like as you're learning from a child, you know,
just in general about life.
I used to watch cartoons like Bugs Bunny, and I was like, oh, that's funny.
And then as an adult, you watch Bugs Bunny, and you're like, well,
that's funny because you understand the adult humor that was behind it
instead of watching it as a child and understanding it.
Or my kids aren't watching that. Yeah. I'm just saying, you know, that's how the word is.
The deeper and the more mature you become, you see the layers and it's super important. But
let's go to Matthew Henry's commentary on verses six through eight. It says,
we have an account of the second day's work, the creation of the firmament in which, in which observe the first thing, which
is what he's going to address. And I eliminated some of what he addresses because it didn't
pertain and I didn't want to keep everybody here. I mean, I didn't want to waste people's time being
bored. So the first thing that was observed is the command of God concerning it.
Let there be a firmament, which is an expansion, because he took the Greek word of what firmament
meant for that particular verse. So the Hebrew word significance signifies like a sheet spread
or a curtain drawn out, meaning it's opened up, okay? When the light, when the firmament was opened up.
Does that make sense?
Yes.
The lights are on.
Everything is, this includes all that is visible above the earth,
between it and the third heavens.
The air, it's higher, middle, and lower regions,
and all the spheres and orbs of light above, which are planets, okay?
And stars. It reaches as high as the place of above, which are planets, okay, and stars.
It reaches as high as the place of where the stars are fixed,
for that is called here the firmament of heaven.
Genesis 1, 14, and 15 refer to this, which we'll address.
And as low as the place of where the birds fly,
for that also is called the firmament of heaven.
So when you think about the firmament, which is in Genesis 1.20,
Genesis 1.20 talks about the firmament, and that is where, that's the sky,
where birds are flying.
So firmament is the sky, and firmament is the heavens, both of them.
Okay?
When God made the light, he appointed the air to be the receptacle and vehicle of its
beams and to be as a medium of communication between the invisible and visible world. For
though between heaven and earth, there is an inconceivable distance, yet there is not an
impassable gulf as there is between heaven and hell. So remember, there's a gulf between hell and heaven. And even like when we see this,
when Lazarus is sitting at Abraham's bosom
and the rich man that would never help out Lazarus,
who was a poor man who sat out in front of his,
because Lazarus was very rich.
So let's just say he lived in a mansion.
He would never help Lazarus.
Lazarus sat outside, hungered and thirst,
while the rich man had more than enough and never even looked to help him.
When the rich man could see Lazarus at the bosom of Abraham,
he was begging for just the tip of Lazarus' finger to be touched in water and to put on his lips.
And Abraham said, I can't.
There's a gulf that's between us.
There's nothing that we can't come to you and you can't come to us, which is different than this.
Okay.
And that's what he's trying to say.
The third thing, we're going to skip to the third, the use and design of it to divide the waters from the waters.
So the verse that says to divide the waters from the waters,
that is to distinguish between the waters that are wrapped up in the clouds.
And that's what people don't remember.
In Genesis, it did not rain until Noah, when the flood came.
Before then, there was a mist, but there was no rain. And a
lot of people don't realize that. The clouds, what do they hold? Water. Well, what kinds of water?
There's snow and hail and sleet and rain. So there's water from the top to the bottom I mean this isn't complicated
it's just like processing right it's like a processing thing because a lot of
times we forget that there is water up in the sky we don't think about it what
happens I don't understand that I don't remember the science part of this so I
remember with my kids but I don't maybe you guys can because
you're teaching your kids still but the dew from the ground rises up to this precipitation
precipitation but but you're talking about the water cycle there's like condensation and
because it's always going like this yeah and runoff and all of that is part of the water cycle.
But precipitation is probably what I would.
No, I think it's condensation.
Yeah, that's when it falls.
It's condensation I'm thinking of.
Condensation is on the ground, the dew that rises, correct?
Evaporation first.
It evaporates from a liquid.
Yeah.
Like the rivers and the oceans,
they heat up and they evaporate.
And then condensation is what forms the clouds.
Yeah.
And then the clouds get to a point
where they release it.
Can no longer hold it.
And that's precipitation.
Okay.
Thank you, teacher.
She is actually a teacher.
I knew somebody over there would be able to explain that to me.
But so it's, I mean, that's like people,
like God and how he even set that up.
Nobody could have figured that out.
Like that's why the Big bang theory just doesn't work.
Like to think that it all just evolved,
like it's not going to happen.
Let's see.
So distinguish between the waters and are wrapped in the clouds and those
that cover the sea and the waters in the air and those in the earth.
See the difference between these two carefully observed Deuteronomy 11, 10,
11, 10, Deuteronomy 11, 10, verse 10,
and then verse 11, where Canaan is upon this account preferred to Egypt,
that Egypt was moistened and made fruitful with the waters that are under the
firmament, but Canaan with waters from above out of the firmament,
even the dew of heaven,
which tarrieth not for the sons of men, which is Micah 5, 7.
I'm going to keep going as fast as I can because that's boring.
God has in the firmament of his power chambers, store chambers,
whence he watereth the earth, which we see in Psalms 104, 13,
Psalms 65, 9, and 10.
And he also treasures or magazines of snow and hail,
which he hath reserved against the day of battle and war,
which we see that's verses in Job 38, 22, and 23.
Oh, what a great God is he who has thus provided
for the comfort of all that serve him
and the confusion of all that hate him.
It is good having him our friend
and bad having him our enemy.
That is Matthew Henry saying that.
The naming of it, and this is a verse, he called the firmament heaven.
It is the visible heaven, the pavement of the holy city above the firmament God has
said to have his throne, which is Ezekiel 126, for he has prepared it in the heavens
and the heavens therefore are said to rule. Daniel 4.26.
I'm going to keep going.
Okay.
Keep moving.
The height of the heavens should remind us of God's supremacy and the infinite distance that is between us and him.
The brightness of the heavens and their purity should remind us of his glory and the majesty and the perfect holiness and the vastness of heavens. So Genesis 1.14, which he mentions in Matthew,
I mean, and Matthew Henry mentions it.
You mentioned it, I believe.
Or it's mentioned in Genesis 1-6.
Genesis 1-14 says,
Then God said,
Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens
to divide the day from the night,
and let them be for signs and seasons and for days and years.
And that was mentioned also in Genesis 1-6
when we looked at the Hebrew word, which was berkeah.
But this one is rakeah.
Same thing, though.
It means let there be an expanse in the new living standard in the midst.
It's a firmament and expanse all the time.
It's no different.
It means expanse.
It doesn't mean dome there.
The Hebrew word for firmament there.
And I'll be honest with you.
I couldn't find anywhere where the firmament, and I did not look extensively, but in what I did look, I found nothing where the firmament meant dome in the Bible, in Hebrew.
I did not.
I didn't. Again, I didn't do it where I looked at all the
words, but every single thing in Genesis where I kept going, and even Ezekiel, everything meant
expanse. It did not mean dome. And I know you said you saw it, but I don't know where you saw it.
So, and you gave me these verses to trail on. So that's the reason why I'm like, I don't know where you saw it. So, and you gave me these verses to trail on. So that's
the reason why I'm like, I don't know where you saw dome. Maybe you read a book that a book told
you that that's what it meant. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know where you found it in
the Bible that it said that though. That's, that's what I'm trying to get at. Genesis 1 20, again,
was something that either is referenced from where we were already talking,
or it's one that you gave me.
I can't remember.
Then God said,
Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures,
and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.
And if you look at the footnotes of that word firmament, which is B,
the footnote B, it means expanse.
Okay?
That word means rakia.
Again, meaning expanse of the word firmament.
Ezekiel 1, 26.
And above the firmament over their heads with the likeness of a throne and an appearance like a sapphire stone on the likeness of the throne was a likeness with the appearance of a man
high above it.
Okay?
If you look at,
and above the firmament over their heads
was like the likeness of a throne.
That right there is the word laurachia.
And it goes back and it means expanse,
infirmament.
And then you'll see it in other places in Genesis where it means the same thing when you see that word.
That's why I'm saying everywhere that I see that word firmament,
because it gives me, if you can see what we have right there,
the word firmament used in other locations in the Bible,
where that word firmament, it means larakia,
but it means expanse or firmament.
And none of them are showing anything different.
That's what I'm saying to you.
Everything trails to the same word, meaning the same thing,
which is expanse.
What you were saying, an expanding universe,
you're not seeing that.
What I'm saying to you,
well, I know you've been told that it means an expanding universe
and you started doubting it for I don't know why.
And it doesn't matter to me, really, to be honest with you.
But it does mean expanding.
It means expanse.
That's exactly what it means. So
the first thing that you were told is actually, or first thing you believed is actually correct.
So we're going to go back to your question, which is if we are in a dome and God hung the moon,
stars, and sun, and the Bible says the stars will fall from heaven to earth, could that mean it isn't an ever-expanding space,
like we've been told, but hung in the dome?
Well, nothing we've seen so far says dome.
Everything says expanse.
I'll interrupt that question right there.
But Genesis 1.16, Revelation 6.13, Matthew 24.29,
from my research, this isn't necessarily approvable
that the universe is expanding. So we're going to go to Revelation 6.13. Matthew 24, 29, from my research, this isn't necessarily approvable that the universe is
expanding. So we're going to go to Revelation 613. And that says, and the stars of heaven fell to the
earth as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. The word stars in Revelation 6, 13 is also the same as the one in Matthew 24, 29,
which is the other verse you refer to, okay?
And that, I, Heather, like, can you, or somebody over there, pull that one up, Heather.
I can't even pronounce that word for you to bring it up.
Sarah?
I don't know what you're...
In Hebrew, how would you say that?
Otepec?
Otepeg?
I can't see.
That is definitely...
I don't know. There's usually a
pronunciation
somewhere. Well, it doesn't have a
long value. That's Greek.
Because it's in the New Testament.
Is it next to the five occurrences?
Right under Englishman's Concordance?
And that's Greek, not Hebrew.
Oh, that is. It's asterisk. Thank you, Heather.
I didn't see that. It is Greek.
Because if you look at it under the word
Matthew 24-29, the word
Matthew, it says G-R-K.
That's Greek.
Which is what the Bible's written in.
Okay, Greek or Hebrew.
So if you look at the New American Standard,
Matthew 24, 29, and then Mark 13, 25, Jude 1, 13,
you'll see all of the other ones,
the reference, the same word, okay?
And that is, it lights and the stars will fall.
The stars, stars.
It just means stars.
That's it.
It doesn't mean a dome.
Let's keep going.
And the word heaven is also in Revelation 6.13.
And it is the same as Matthew 24.29.
Which if you look at that one,
I cut that one off where I can't read what that actually means.
It means from the sky, heaven, sky.
It doesn't mean dome.
Again, I'm not going to talk about gravity
because I don't even know if the word gravity is in the Bible.
Have you guys ever read the word gravity in the Bible?
Neither have I.
So I'm not going to address that because I pretty much
have answered the question, I feel like.
I'm going to go to your last question,
and then I'll finish up because I've got one minute.
Your last question is,
I guess what I am saying is I don't feel like
what we are told about the universe lines up with the Bible
if I understand it correctly.
What I can tell you is, breaking everything down in the Greek and the Hebrew,
it does basically say it's pretty simple. It means expanse. Firmament means expanse.
Unless there is some other word, some other verse in the Bible that we can find where the word firmament means
something else. Firmament means expanse. It doesn't mean dome in any of the verses that you gave me.
And then the ones on top of that, that I found through doing my research. So I would go,
I'm not telling you not to believe in flat earth. I don't really care.
I'm going to be honest with you.
For me, I don't care if people are lovers of sphere or lovers of flat with affirmament being the dome.
Okay, I don't see where firmament means dome.
I never have.
But that doesn't mean that I'm not wrong. But that doesn't mean that I'm not wrong
and that doesn't mean that I need to study it out more.
I probably am not though.
And the reason why is until I'm healing the sick,
I'm winning the lost.
Amen.
And living in victory where I'm paying people's mortgages
and medical bills and until I have that,
and I'm not saying you don't have that going on, okay?
You might have that going on.
But what I'm saying to you is like,
I know people who are flat earthers, okay?
And they're as lost as last year's Easter egg.
And they're not doing much for the kingdom,
but they're studying out flat earth.
And then I know flat earthers, they're doing mighty things for the kingdom of God.
And they are laying hands on the sick.
And they are doing, like, they are winning the lost.
And they are discipling believers.
Okay, well, okay, believe in flat earth.
Because you've got a balance in what you're doing.
Do you know what I'm saying?
You're
about something. Just like me, who is a sphere earth person who could give a rip one way or the
other. What am I about? I'm about learning more about what the word of God says so that I can go
out and accomplish more of what the word of God tells me I got to accomplish. That's what I would strongly advise people to do instead of getting
off on things that don't matter. It says we're to win the lost and disciple believers. It doesn't
say or to prove that there's a dome or that the earth is flat and has four corners or because
there's things that say there's four corners and then it says that he sits on the sphere, right, in Isaiah.
I mean, some things I don't think we need to know.
We need to be about kingdom business.
That's it.
And until we are, we don't need to be worried about anything else but that.
And then you can add all in the other things that interest you that
matter but that doesn't really matter in the big scheme of things because you're doing other things
right so ladies you want to add something to it because i'm going to get to our sponsor if do you
have anything you want to add i'm good do you have you ever read where it says the firmament when you've researched Greek and Hebrew that the firmament means dome?
I have not searched it out in Greek and Hebrew.
Vanessa?
I haven't really studied it out for myself anyway.
I never, listen, I was never into it.
I've never been a big one on this, to be honest with you,
because I've not cared.
I never studied rafia and what it meant in the Hebrew or Greek.
This was the first time I looked it up.
Yeah.
Well, okay, and there's probably reasons for that.
But have you ever said what the word firmament means?
Don't.
Can you show me?
Or can you just to help her out so maybe she knows?
Because she might be right, and I'm wrong yeah so I would say this you need to have the holy spirit help you whatever you're
doing because just asking questions willy-nilly and like a lot of what she sent was she or he was not really a question it was like her trying to
work things out as she's you know writing it out so you need the holy spirit um in regards to the
dome since this isn't the sarah hotline we've already established that today yeah yeah your
feet are allowed to touch the thing only because your chair doesn't go up. But go ahead.
I have done a lot of studying on not necessarily the word dome,
but other things in regards to the firmament.
I have studied them out. In Greek and Hebrew?
Mm-hmm.
And is there anything that says anything about a dome?
There are things about a tent.
No.
That it's a.
I'm talking about a dome.
No, but.
Because that's what she's asking about.
So no, dome.
No.
No dome.
No dome.
I don't want to hear about a tent because I ain't going off on another whole freaking
tangent on tents because even Matthew Henry talks about about that it's like a drape.
Right.
Okay?
Where the drape is opened.
So there's nothing, if the drape is open, there's nothing there anymore.
Okay?
But I'm just saying, no drapes, no tents.
There's just no dome.
Now, is there symbolic symbolism, which is what she's referring
to? Maybe, but
if we're going to say
that the universe is not
expanding, that we've been
told that it expands, but
that it's
that the word firmament means dome,
then that's not accurate.
Because the word firmament does not mean dome.
I don't see how that's related.
Everybody listen.
Is it expanding?
No, no, listen.
There's two different questions.
It is to a certain extent, but Sarah, I know what you're saying,
but I'm just telling you, I cannot tell you.
I have been told that firmament means dome.
And I've never looked into it,
and I never researched it in Hebrew and Greek. But listen,
and even if you look at research online, which we know is always accurate, but they say that
firmament proves that there's a dome. Okay, no it doesn't, because it's not what the real word
means. And we go by what the word means in the Greek and the Hebrew.
What did the Bible say in the Greek and the Hebrew? And we don't change a word to fit our theology. And I'm just telling you, I've had flat earthers flat out tell me firmament means dome.
I'm sorry, but it's true. So it doesn't though. And that's probably, she read something or I don't know,
or somebody talked to her or him.
I shouldn't keep saying her cause I don't know.
But,
and it's very confusing cause we can lead people astray.
If we don't,
if we take our theologies and we get them from books or conspiracy theories
and listen,
I used to not believe in conspiracies
but they're all coming true they're all coming true I don't know but the Bible
is never conspiracy theory and you can always figure it out if you do it dig
deep and the thing is is like the word tent like she said we're not gonna get
into that but for example look up that word tent and Like she said, we're not going to get into that. But for example, look up that word tent
and what that means in the Hebrew and the Greek, right?
If you see, if you want to look and dig deeper,
then that's what you do.
You look and you take the words
and you break them down in the Greek and the Hebrew.
And that's how you're going to find out what's going down.
There's also things that get lost in translation.
You cannot word for word translate Hebrew and Greek
into English, and so you have
to really know your
stuff and know about verb conjugations
and parts of speech.
To just say,
this word means this in Hebrew, or it means
this in Greek,
things get lost in translation, like from Spanish
to English, even. You can say
something in Spanish, and if you translate it into English,
word for word, it doesn't make sense anymore.
So there's more of a full language.
Yeah, that's true.
But when they took the Dead Sea Scrolls and they broke them down
and they compared them to the King James Version,
they said they proved that the King James Version written in English,
when it was written out, it was so concise and so perfect.
I don't know anything about the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Yeah, 100%.
The Dead Sea Scrolls, when they were found,
which are basically the original Bible.
In Hebrew.
Right.
But when they broke it down, and people have tried to disprove that the King James Bible,
because it was translated, so it could be inaccurate, is what they were trying to do.
When they took the Dead Sea Scrolls and they opened up the King James Bible,
and they did them word for word, they basically said, it is perfect.
It is actually written just perfectly to what the Hebrew word and the Hebrew Bible is saying.
100%.
And it disproves and it takes out all of the question marks that people have tried to say that the Bible that we read is not accurate
or it's a fable. And so they've been able to say it's not, it's actually word for word the same
as the Dead Sea Scrolls. That's how you can stand on it. So for me, I'm like, you can,
I understand what you're saying to a certain extent, but not when, not
when people who know the, who literally know one and they compare it to the other and they say
they're, they're duplicates of each other. And there is no translation issue here. There is a,
I don't know what kind of issue it is, but whatever. Again, conspiracy theories are great.
A lot of them are coming true.
And that's the facts.
But don't believe everything you hear either.
Like study it out for yourself
because you will go down doctrines of devils if you do.
Ones that say that tongues were for then and not for now. And that if you
speak in tongues, then you're filled with the devil. Or that healing's not for today. Like,
there's a lot of bad doctrine out there. And just because somebody tells you it does not
mean you believe it. You don't. You stay away from it. People through tongues have been healed.
Through getting their gift of tongue, their prayer language tongue, not for the body.
They've been legitimately healed in their body through that.
That's not demonic.
I mean, and it's not true that it was for then.
It is for today.
And the Bible says that throughout.
The reason people want to believe that is because they're afraid, in my opinion. It makes them vulnerable. And the unknown makes people afraid. But for me,
it's like, again, study out the scriptures, study out the book of Acts, and find in there where it
says that it's not for today. It never says that it ended with the disciples. Nowhere in scripture did it ever say it would end with them. Study out the scriptures.
Let's go to our sponsor. Yay. So happy to have Laura Keller back. So glad to have that question
done. And I thank you for sending in that question because if I don't get questions,
we don't have a podcast. But Laura Keller and the real estate,
she is with Real Estate Appraisal Associates of Southwest Florida.
