Starting point is 00:00:00 Real Talk Real talk. Real talk. Hello and welcome to the Hope Hotline. Who was that? Hmm. No, that was Vanessa. Oh, jeez. I have a mic. I have a mic.
Starting point is 00:00:44 All by yourself. Sarah's not with us today. Oh, jeez. I have a mic. I have a mic. She has a mic. All by herself. Sarah's not with us today. Were you going, hmm? Because you were just thinking about the nostalgic things we were talking about. A little bit. Yeah. Before we came on, we were talking about rotary phones.
Starting point is 00:00:59 Talia was trying to tell us about phones that hang on the wall. As if we don't know about phones that hang on the wall as if we don't know about phones that hang on the wall like you know right you know that one you know that yeah very familiar yeah like we lived in that time towel okay you just want to go back to that time we lived in that time yep it's trying to say the rotary phone when you went, da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da- You know, for some reason, now this was before my era, but for some reason, my parents were like Talia or my dad specifically was like, Talia wants to have one of those phones that hang on the wall in her house when she gets a house. My dad wanted like an Andy Griffith phone, like you picked it up, spoken to it.
Starting point is 00:02:03 And then you had the thing that came to you. That's how, yeah, that's how I, we had a phone like that. And I would have to sit like this when I talk. Yeah, in the dining room. Yeah, like this to talk. Wow. That's like from the 1800s. Literally.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Well, I don't think so. Andy Griffith was in the 1960s. Feels like 1800s. So let's not throw back that far. But it was pretty bad. That's pretty bad. It was. I literally sat like this in a chair talking. No way.
Starting point is 00:02:37 Sean brings up a good point. Like if you screwed it up, you had to start all over. It was rough. And believe me. That's true. I was always in a hurry. So I was always screwing it up. You can bet on that.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Slow down, sister. It's like, remember back in the day, some of you won't, when you typed, you had the manual typing. And before they had whiteouts. Yeah. You wanted to literally go see Jesus. You're like you wanted to like literally kill somebody jesus you're like he's out kill somebody and i learned originally on emmanuel and then like the following year the school brought in the electric whoa my hands were all over the place your fingers are like zip bang whoo yeah because you went from like, your fingers got really strong.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Yeah, yeah. And then your fingers don't realize that electric typewriter is like, you can barely touch it, and that thing's like, ping! Yeah. Yeah. You don't know nothing about that, Tal. No. Touchscreen.
Starting point is 00:03:39 I hate touchscreen. I fought it tooth and nail before, you know, my smartphone. I kept my smartphone that had like the little typewriter I used to have one Fought tooth and nail the Blackberry Until I had to go to touch screen I still hate it They made it so you like
Starting point is 00:03:55 They forced your hand to buy a new phone Oh yeah Love of money That'll do it But those times were so sweet. It was. I know. Like, I think back a lot on just precious moments from growing up to even, like, when
Starting point is 00:04:12 my kids were very, very little and so much simpler. Yeah. It really was. It was a simple life. Tommy even talks about that. He's like, you know, it doesn't seem so bad. Yeah. To go back to that.
Starting point is 00:04:24 Mm-hmm. Yeah. A simple life. I'm like no plugs you didn't not every not everyone had like full access to you right which is a very healthy thing yeah very healthy and then like tell you was saying well what did how did you do get to your friend's house if you couldn't walk there you didn't yeah you didn't get to your friend's house and you didn't get to call your friend because in my house i was telling them like there was no call waiting for forever you had to pay to get call waiting when they finally became available right and so like no call waiting so in my house it was 10 minutes that you could
Starting point is 00:05:01 make a phone call after 10 minutes because it would ring busy right and who knows if somebody has something important so you had 10 minutes uh and then make a phone call. After 10 minutes, because it would ring busy, right? And who knows if somebody has something important. So you had 10 minutes, and then your family member could either make their call or whatever. So, you know, too bad, so sad. Like, that's life. Families were, we were saying, family was very important. It was integral. You ate dinner with your family, and you and you just like tell them what you were saying vanessa with tgif like yeah you waited every friday to gather around the tv to watch
Starting point is 00:05:31 family matters or like saved by the bell and there was no reruns like so if you missed it right that's it that's it yeah and you had to wait until the season was over and then they might run that or on like a saturday they might yeah replay remember after school specials oh my gosh i remember the brad pitt made his first debut in an after school special with ricky schroeder i was like who are you hello i that's how i learned the dangers of steroids oh Oh, my gosh. And taking drugs. From After School Special. Was the After School Special. And it's 10 o'clock.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Do you know where your children are? Yeah, yeah. Do you remember those reminders? Yep. Or Sunday night, Disney. Remember Sunday night, Disney would have their whatever. Their movie premieres. Yeah. Those were times. Oh, man. Their movie premieres. Yeah. Those were times.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Oh, man. Let's go back. And Disney wasn't woke. And they weren't trying to transgender our children and everything else. They were actually sweet and special. And just great time back then. I know. I wish our kids could experience the age of innocence.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Because, man, was it like super innocent in life but now that we're all on a downer i know it's disappointing i know gosh like okay okay see you on my own Wednesday guys make sure you come to church on Sunday who needs to be saved yeah i'll win the lost i mean we're all right now. All we need to know is we're lost. I mean, we're all like crying. There's no hope. Listen, the grid goes down. We'll just go back to better times.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Listen, it's not so bad. I know. It's not. And the only reason we got to this is because Talia told Vanessa she was doing something at 4. I mean, she has to leave at 4 o'clock Vanessa she was doing something at four I mean she has to leave at four o'clock and she's doing something and Vanessa's like what what are you doing and she's like I just told you just told you literally yes because our brains are in overload stimulated to the highest degree and then we were like thinking that's how we got she goes literally
Starting point is 00:07:44 I could remember phone numbers back in the day and I can't remember that you just told me something yeah it's because we over stimulate our minds 100% scrolling scrolling scrolling and everything so many things so many things so many things that aren't even worthwhile yeah well they don't matter yeah they just don't matter but why don't you get going on our thing? Yeah. Okay. So let's go see what's going on at Facebook.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Okay. We've got our few on there, as always. But if you are, if you want to let us know who is watching, and then if you want to jump over, Talia already dropped the Rumble link in there for you. So make it super easy. You can just click on that. Yes, you probably have to set up something to super easy. You can just click on that. Yes, you probably have to
Starting point is 00:08:25 set up something to log in. So keep us going on Facebook and then, you know, get that set up and then you're done. One and done. And then you can have jump in the live chat and just be able to be a part of the conversation and just, you know, support a better platform. Sorry, Facebook. And then we've got YouTube. You can subscribe over there. That will just help you with notifications. But again, hop over to Rumble. Link's right there. Super easy in the live chat. And if you're watching the replay, fine, stay, you know, do what you got to do. But if you're watching live today, we would love for you to be over on Rumble. You can like, there's a little button. If you could just go over there,
Starting point is 00:09:02 you got, we got five of us that have liked it. If you like that, and then feel free to, you know, join in with the live chat. If you have questions, you can put them in the comments. Or, as always, you can send them over to our questions at askhope at hopehotline.com. It can be anything from something biblical to something that's going on with your life. Something maybe a friend's going through, and you just want to kind of like, you're not sure if you're giving them the right advice or, you know, just what maybe hopes dealt with it in the past and something that she has a biblical spin on it. Anything, anything at all that you have a question. And on top of that, we are going
Starting point is 00:09:39 to have our Natalie in very, very soon. So if you can start sending in those questions, same place, ask Natalie, and you're going to send them right over. I'm going to show it again. Send your questions in to askhopeathopehotline.com. And as you know, if you've listened, if you're an OG for the Hope Hotline, Natalie is our in-house physician. Pretty much. So she has all the questions. Anything that's going on that's super popular right now that you want to know about? Anything that like maybe something's like changed? You've heard this was a good supplement and now it's not a good supplement and you want to kind of understand. Can you overtake a supplement?
Starting point is 00:10:18 You know, if you've like we've had we had somebody asking about removing breast implants and like, is that something I should do? Well, we've got Natalie here. So I know you want to know what we think about things. Parasite cleanse. I mean, like I know we're here for, you know, some interesting conversation. But she actually is very intelligent. So she's excited to come back. And we would love for you guys to be able to send those questions in.
Starting point is 00:10:43 She might get a spand, but it's worth it. Because it's the last time that happened. It's all right, though. But it is all right. And so we'll see. But hey, maybe we'll go down a different rabbit hole. And maybe not. But you never know.
Starting point is 00:10:55 It's okay. Whatever hole we go down, we'll be all right. Yeah, we will. We'll live through it. We sure will. Especially on Rumble. And we always have Black Rope. You know that.
Starting point is 00:11:03 And we've got our audio as well. So we've done well there, believe it or not. So we're not on their radar. Okay. And of course you can support us by going to foundationchurchfl.com. Click shop and you can get any of our merch that's available. We've got our shirt and our hat and our mug and our spoon.
Starting point is 00:11:21 And so if you're here on Sundays too, you can buy them in house right at Foundation Church. Next, we've got Crave a Night of Worship Friday. It says July 26th on that one. Oh, wrong one. Okay. No, no. Go away. Go away. We're going to go back to merch. That is not the correct one. Oh, good call. Where are you? Okay. Well, Crave a Night of Worship is coming back, and we would love for you to join us. So let me, I wonder if I can, I can't even zoom in. It's October 4th, if I remember right. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:55 Yeah. Okay. We'll touch on that later. Maybe we can close out with that. So buy our merch. Okay. Thanks for buying our merch. Also our spoon.
Starting point is 00:12:03 You can scan right there and get the spoon, and then you can smack me when you see me. Get this right back into place. But we do. I'm going to come back to us. So Crave will be coming back in October. So just be prepared. Start thinking about who you'd want to invite for a night of worship. It's going to look different than a Sunday morning.
Starting point is 00:12:19 And then when they get into the night of worship, being in the anointing, being in like our worship team is just like, ugh, like their hearts towards worship. Top notch. I have been in so many churches and it's always like, look at me, look at me. And it's set up that way. Like you have to like provide this, you know. It's a lot of ego. It's a lot of ego.
Starting point is 00:12:40 A lot of ego and a lot of worship teams. And like the leadership kind of like forces that on them. Like, you know, people are looking at you. Well, it's competing like who gets the next new song or who gets the lead when you're playing an instrument. Right, right. No, and that's like, and here they just want Jesus to be magnified. In that moment, they're giving it all. Most of them say they like black out because they're just like there for Jesus.
Starting point is 00:13:04 And they just want to give it their all. And I just, our worship team is so special. So when they come in on Friday for a night of worship, they are going to experience something they probably aren't experiencing at many other churches because it's not about us. It's about Him. And so then they'll be ready on Sunday and they'll be like, I like this church. I can come back. And then they're going to get a little like, then they'll be ready on Sunday. And they'll be like, I like this church. I can come back. And then they're going to get a little like, but it'll be worth it.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Their hearts will be tender. Their hearts will be tender. And then they'll be like, okay. And then they'll get a nice little spanking on their tender little heart. A little spanking. But then he'll reel them back in. And then he meets you at the door with these soft eyes. you're like wait this guy's so nice it's just like you're like i don't know what to do with all this yeah and then you come back next sunday and the next and
Starting point is 00:13:54 then you're here four years later yeah exactly right here you just had your anniversary i did and in august that we had our four years it It's crazy. I know. It goes by like this, though. It does. Oh, my gosh. It's insane. You know what I love about the worship team is, which a lot of people that watch this, that watch it live, they actually attend.
Starting point is 00:14:18 But a lot of people don't know this, but the worship team, they're actually friends with each other. Yeah. Mm-hmm. They actually enjoy each other. They laugh. They joke around. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:32 They hang out with each other. That's not common. No. With a lot. No. Just knocked my elbow off. That's not common with a lot of worship teams or a lot of people that are in that genre of things. They kind of just get together and then they go off and do their thing.
Starting point is 00:14:49 But that's not how they are. And I think that's what makes them, first of all, not be like that because they're actually like I'll speak for the girls because specifically yeah it's usually it's vocals that are usually contentious it can't I've seen it where it's instruments as well but um in this case like the girls oftentimes are um celebrating one another because they love one another right so I'm not saying celebrating because one gets a song, one doesn't get a song. No, that's not what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:15:28 They celebrate each other in their own personal lives. And even on the stage, when they see one of them pursuing and then the anointing so strong, or their walks with God getting like even taking steps forward they're so excited and so anxious for one another and they celebrate it instead of being like for my daughter with Vanessa Vanessa when she was on the worship team she carried such a strong anointing like Norma pursued that. Mm-hmm. That's good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:06 That's like, instead of being like, well, this and this and this and this, it was more like, I want what she has. And that's how they all are. Like,
Starting point is 00:16:15 they're always like, cheering each other on. They're, I can speak because I was on the team. Yeah. But it's, it's, it's such a beautiful team because we're all sharpening each other.
Starting point is 00:16:26 And we're all there for a purpose. Yeah. And it's like being the body. Yeah. Not everyone can be an arm. Not everyone can be a foot. And when we all get together and we're the body, like, it's a beautiful thing.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Yeah, and I think that's why there's so much power when they are playing and then when they were they are singing and there's such an annoying on them because there's no divisiveness no riff no division like there's just like not even a little bit they just love each other it's the sweetest thing it is it is the sweet and and I will say this about the girls because like literally every single one of them, and I include Vanessa because she just stepped down, but she's actually a filler for the team. She hasn't really been able to step down. She just fills in if somebody's gone.
Starting point is 00:17:13 But, like, there ain't an ugly one of them. They're beautiful. They're all hot. I know. Which works out really great. It does. For me. So convenient.
Starting point is 00:17:23 True. It really is. Yeah. Until people see rings on fingers and they're like dang they're taken true it's true dang they're taken but i'm just saying they're you know usually pretty people aren't pretty on the inside and every single one of those girls are as beautiful as you see on the exterior they're just such beautiful people on the inside oh my gosh more beautiful i agree with you they're just quality beautiful people on the inside oh my gosh more beautiful i agree with
Starting point is 00:17:45 you they're just quality quality quality so definitely come yeah definitely you'll be very happy and you never know listen you never know who might you know be a guest singer i mean there's a chance no you're not you're not doing it sister, Heather said, Tracy, when we join the worship team, it will be so anointed. That might be prophetic. I can promise you one thing. Aaron's never going to allow it. A choir. You can be in the choir, Tracy. The mics will be shut off.
Starting point is 00:18:17 Not going to happen. In a million years. I'm just saying. So come to Crave because you never know. Yeah, never know. But I will tell you, it's powerful. But it's a beautiful thing. Super powerful and a beautiful thing. I'm just saying. So come to Crave because you never know. Yeah, never know. But I will tell you, it's powerful. But it's a beautiful thing. Yeah. Super powerful and a beautiful thing.
Starting point is 00:18:29 I'll be a first timer. So I'm excited for that. So Crave, Friday, October 4th. It's right there. It was labeled wrong. And so now we've got it labeled. The other one's gone by July. You are done.
Starting point is 00:18:38 Unless it happens next year. But we'll refresh. So yeah, October 4th, 630 to 8 p.m. Be here and invite some friends.m. be here and and invite some friends like really oh yeah intentional about this and think about who you can invite just do it music sues the savage beast absolutely and if you like it's so funny because I you I've seen people whose walks with God were very weak
Starting point is 00:19:06 or nil and they come in and they hear the worship music and they become a puddle. They start crying. They become weak. They weep.
Starting point is 00:19:17 If you have somebody who is just either lost or just is searching because they used to have a good relationship with the Lord, but they seem to be like fluctuating in and out, kind of bring them because absolutely
Starting point is 00:19:33 got a goal drawn back through through the worship. And it's powerful, man. It's one of the ways he got me back is through music. Somehow I'll be flipping around and a worship song that I was very familiar with came on. And at first I just would be like, ick. But after a while I'd be like, oh, you know what? I did like that song. That's sweet.
Starting point is 00:19:57 And then eventually I would start crying if I heard worship songs while I was flipping around. Because back in the day, Talia, we had to flick around on the radio and it was a push button in the car. That's how you set your radio station to the ones. And then sometimes you had to just flick and flick and flick and turn or turn the knob.
Starting point is 00:20:18 My car has that. Not the same, honey. It was a knob that you had to turn. Not push a button. You still have a button you can push. This, no turn. And it just, it was like manual. I'll do some research.
Starting point is 00:20:34 She doesn't understand because even in the electric cars, I mean, even in the cars that we have, our stereo systems are so superior. Like you had to turn it and hope that you got it so the frequency was perfect. And there was a cassette player. If you were lucky. If you were lucky, there was a cassette. Or an 8-track.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Oh, wow. That was before me. Not me. So you literally had to tune it in. And if it wasn't right on the right spot, there was a lot of static. Yes. Yeah. Yes. You don't even know, was a lot of static. Yes. Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:05 You don't even know, girl. Well, now I do. Yeah. And you'll be glad. In some ways, today is really great. 100%. And in other ways, it's sweet. Right.
Starting point is 00:21:16 But you didn't have a lot of options. Yeah. That's just the way it went. It's true. It's kind of like radio was kind of like talk radio. Yeah. How talk radio is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:26 Jeffrey was telling me how back in the day he would call the radio station and like request songs for girls. This goes out to Tracy or like Talia. Yeah. Or Vanessa. 100%. Yeah. I know people. I mean, I used to call in and request but not for anybody
Starting point is 00:21:45 because I was a loner nobody wanted me you didn't care can you play the song for me and dedicate it to me please this is
Starting point is 00:21:53 from hope to hope that's how that went she really likes this song a lot I actually would call in and request songs
Starting point is 00:22:03 really yeah aww tell me I'm a little old soul you my mom I actually would call in and request songs. Really? Aw, tell me about your little old soul, you. My mom won so many prizes. She used to listen to, on the radio, it would be like Christian radio, right? And they would have these, like trivia, not trivia, but it would be kind of like trivia.
Starting point is 00:22:24 It'd be like, do you know the answer to, if you be the fifth caller,. It'd be like, do you know the answer to if you'd be the fifth caller? And she'd win every single time. All the time she won crap. I don't know if it was great crap, but it was crap. There was one time that we called for tickets to go to a concert and my cousin was so flustered
Starting point is 00:22:41 that she was the caller. She said the right answer, but it didn't sound like the right answer. You're wrong. And we're like, no. And they, they gave it the tickets to somebody else.
Starting point is 00:22:52 Oh, absolutely not. That's not, that's rough. Where's the manager? Yeah. Karen. That's rough.
Starting point is 00:23:02 Yeah. Was it on the joy FM? Probably. Yeah. I believe it. If it is. Sorry. I it on the Joy FM? Probably. Yeah, I believe it if it is. Sorry, I'm not a big Joy FM fan. That radio station triggers me. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Big time. Not a good radio station. I can't. I just can't. They're probably still playing the same songs from 15 years ago. Yes. Over and over. and they're so cheesy and so unbiblical
Starting point is 00:23:27 in many ways. What's that song that you love, Tracy? That you like, the lyrics. Beautiful, the mess we are. That one too,
Starting point is 00:23:35 that one. What's the other one that you mentioned? Yet. Oh, yeah. That one. God Hasn't Failed Me Yet. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:44 That one drives me crazy. There's a lot of songs that I'm just like. They're not biblical. No. No it's not. Oh my gosh. I will say this. This is funny. Erin there's been like a couple songs that Erin actually liked. He changes the lyrics. Yes. He changes the lyrics.
Starting point is 00:24:00 I've been a part of singing songs where he's like I don't like this. We're changing the lyrics. It has to be biblical. And I'm like, yeah. And I'm like, read it in a full gospel, or sing it in a full gospel church. I know. I love it. I'm like, oh my gosh, Erin, you are so flippin' funny.
Starting point is 00:24:15 It's true. Because the rest of the song is great. It's just one or two little parts. Why add that in? Why add God hasn't failed me yet? He will never fail me. It doesn't say it like 90% of the song, and then they throw it in failed me yet like he will never fail me it doesn't say it like 90 of the song and then they throw it in a couple times ever ever thank you take that yet you want to take that yet turn it sideways oh yeah it's just so frustrating like it is frustrating because then you sing it and then you're like, oh, yeah, yes. And if you don't think words matter. They matter.
Starting point is 00:24:45 Come on. They matter. They matter. Come on. And most of us that attend this church absolutely know words matter. Yes, we do. But people don't. They don't realize words matter.
Starting point is 00:24:56 So you really need to be careful about what you're singing and why you're singing it. Right. Right. Because whether you're not, it's just like lots of people listen to songs that they sang when they were younger. And then you realize, like I was listening to Do the Humpty Hump. I know. I was working out.
Starting point is 00:25:17 Right. Do the Humpty Hump came on. Right. And I'm listening to it like two weeks ago and I went, oh, oh my. That's inappropriate. That was a really bad song. And I used to rock out to it and didn't even I would be singing the songs. I wasn't paying attention.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Right. But just for the record, Humpty Hump is not a good song. No one should be listening to it and nobody should be singing it. For the record. For the record. As Camala says, let's be clear. Let's be clear.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Let's be clear on this. She could, I mean, just or just to be clear. I mean, that's what she says more times than not when she said. I think she's telling herself that. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:26:00 Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, I've never noticed that. Why did you tell me that? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, I've never noticed that. Why did you tell me that? Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:26:08 Good evening. The cackle. Oh, my gosh. I can't stand the cackle. Oh, my gosh. They put a kibosh on the cackle. They have. Well, they know.
Starting point is 00:26:18 They know. She must get like a poke in the side. Once again, she's nowhere to be seen or heard of. They're doing the same thing. They're going to keep them so nobody sees them and then they're going to pull out all the stops.
Starting point is 00:26:30 We need a miracle, so just be praying. Miracles. Miracles. Yep, absolutely. I texted Magalas and I said, because she was telling me
Starting point is 00:26:38 how she was trying not to cuss when she was doing the, her and Adalas were doing the, Check the news. Check the news, but it was for the um her and adalas were doing the um check the news check the news but it was for the debate yeah and uh she said it was everything i could do not to cuss and restrain myself i said i cannot imagine four years of that woman and i put freaking woman in front of it but i was like i can't and she's like yeah like she's such a poser
Starting point is 00:27:07 is what she's like she's horrible can you imagine that's so basically it's going to be a miracle we're going to we need to pray for a miracle because they're doing they're doing the same puppet yep yeah it's terrible oh terrible what question. Yeah. So what's cool about this is that like because we're not in like the old times, we can see now what you're going to do for these questions, which is so cool to be able to like quickly go online. Just click to do to do to do. See what you're about to talk about today. We would never really know. Oh, I see what you're saying. The theme of the questions for today, if we lived back in the old days yeah this would not be happening at all no okay that's true this whole thing when this whole thing like uh i remember when the first computer came out all it was is like a whole bunch of gobbledygook gobbledygook yeah there was no pictures i remember the first time i saw a
Starting point is 00:28:05 picture on the computer and i was like what what is this because it was all digital it'd be like cryptic coming out because all you could see the decoding along with days yeah you would type you would type something in and then there would be like a code first and then it would type i thought your stuff i mean it was like that's crazy it was it a code first and then it would type out your stuff. I mean, it was like. That's crazy. It was. It was crazy. Yeah. And then obviously, because that's my parents first computer was like that.
Starting point is 00:28:35 And then you go to work and they actually have ones that are functioning properly. Whatever you're typing in, you can see on the screen. I thought like I've arrived. Yeah, literally. And when they told you you could start buying stuff on the computer, I said, that's witchcraft. I'm not doing it. Yeah. That's wild.
Starting point is 00:28:49 Yeah, not doing that. Yeah, yeah. Not getting involved in any of that. Yeah. Back off. Yeah, exactly. And now I buy everything on the computer. Literally. From my groceries to everything.
Starting point is 00:28:59 As soon as it pops into my head, I just go on Amazon. I mean, I need to really like i just reel it back i mean public everything you can just order yeah easy it's so easy yeah it's a beautiful thing where was that when my kids were young yeah like grocery shopping with tommy are you kidding me that sounds terrible get out of the house. Without your child. That's Tommy. No. I was with my child.
Starting point is 00:29:27 I know. Because Tom was working. It sounds terrible. And Tommy was like, and he had this voice when he was little. It was always hoarse. It was the cutest thing ever. That is so cute. And he sounded hoarse all the time.
Starting point is 00:29:39 And he'd be like, I want that. I want that. I want that. Like, you don't even need that. He was a cave smoker as a child. And Norma's just looking at you with her doe eyes. Oh, and you just wanted to give her that. I wanted to give her whatever Tommy wanted.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Yeah, exactly. Like, he was, she was, but everything. Oh, yeah. He's a piece. He's so funny. He is so funny. But he had a hoarse throat. His voice was always hoarse.
Starting point is 00:30:07 I wish I could hear it. I'm sure I have it somewhere. Tom was great at videotaping. Super cute. That sounds so cute. Home videos. There's this company now that will take all your home videos and digitalize. My dad did it.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Is that a word? Yeah, that. My dad has all of them. Oh, my gosh. On a hard drive. And I just started looking through them and i'm like like it like it might need to do that you have to it's they all do like pictures videos everything and they put it into a digital form because i'm just my brother was doing that
Starting point is 00:30:37 but it's uh for christmas we around christmas time not on Christmas morning, but when Christmas starts coming, one of the things that we do is we pull out all of our old videos. Oh, that's the best. And we start, like, we have so many that we can't even watch. It would take 10 years to finally probably make sure we saw all of them. And Tom is always shooting the ground. He's the worst videographer ever. I'm nauseous.
Starting point is 00:31:04 I have my airplane bag sitting next to me while we're watching and Tom is always shooting the ground. He's the worst videographer ever. I'm nauseous. I have my airplane bag sitting next to me while we're watching because I'm so nauseous. Some of them are rough. Oh my gosh. But that's why when it's digitalized, you can literally like kind of scroll and then like start to rush. Oh, we fast forward.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Yeah, yeah, yeah. You have to. You have to because you're going to vomit otherwise. You will throw up. So true. Tom would put the camera on the table and just walk away. And I'm like, you're videoing nothing.
Starting point is 00:31:28 At least it was better than the ground while he was walking. I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm going to be sick. I forgot that I left it on. Okay. Let's go. So why does God allow suffering and evil? So what I decided to do is I have some questions. I have questions from you guys, but I was curious.
Starting point is 00:31:54 I was super curious. I was like, I wonder what, because sometimes people, I mean, they like the questions, but sometimes they want different questions. So I was wondering what is, because I've done this before, but it was kind of different than this. What is the seven? So I said, what is the most Googled questions, like the 10 top most Googled questions asked about God? Right. And the reason I did this is because for me, this helped me when I witnessed to somebody. Yeah, absolutely. Because I thought to myself, if people knew what the most asked questions were when they were witnessing or talking to somebody about God and one of these questions came up, we might be able to have the answer so ready that
Starting point is 00:32:46 it helps potentially either plant the seed to get them closer to being one to the Lord, or it might be the thing that pushes them right over and you can win the loss through it. So that was one of my thought processes behind it because it's really great to answer questions but if they can be used in a in a way that can help you win the loss absolutely i agree like that's really good so i've pushed some of your questions back but none of them are anything that would be um there some of them are personal questions like about us what we like. Those all can be pushed back. This stuff is way more important. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:33:29 So why does God allow suffering and evil? And I cannot tell you, and this is like number one question. This is something I think all of us have heard quite often, and it's one of the things that keep people from being saved. Because why would I serve a God that allows suffering? There's so much evil in the world. Why would God allow that? And my thing is, and that will keep them from, they'll use it as an excuse to not do the right thing. And if you can disarm them so they have nothing,
Starting point is 00:34:07 then that will make them reflect on, okay, I can't use that as an excuse anymore. What's the real reason I don't want to serve him? Or what is the real reason I don't want to be saved? That's what we want to get them to. So we all know that God doesn't do any of those things. He isn't allowing anybody to suffer. He doesn't allow evil either. What is the word John 10.10 says that Satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy? Everything that all the evil in the world and all the suffering in the world, it all starts with him or you.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Because we all have free will, and we all make good decisions, or we all make bad decisions. All of those things are not God's fault. Satan's not God's fault, and you making a bad decision is not God's fault. There's evil in the world because of sin like god if somebody gets murdered it wasn't because god uh said go ahead and murder that person no it says in john 10 10 satan comes to kill steal and destroy and then it goes on to say but i have come to give you this is jesus saying but i have come to give you life and more abundantly.
Starting point is 00:35:25 So Jesus was making it very clear. This is the devil's propaganda and what he's choosing to do. And this is what I'm promoting and what I'm trying to accomplish. And based on the decisions you make in life, if you choose his way, then you get life and life more abundantly. You choose Satan's way, there's ramifications for that. And if you cause someone harm and there's murder, then you've caused suffering in someone's home and family. But that's got nothing to do with God. God didn't do that. Sin did that. And sin stems from Satan. And that's free will of the individual doing those things.
Starting point is 00:36:07 But God has nothing to do with it. If it doesn't exist in heaven, then it doesn't come from God. If it's not in heaven, it's not from God. And he has nothing to do with those things. Sickness, illness, disease does not exist in heaven. So he doesn't propagate those things. First Peter 5.8 says, be sober, be vigilant because your adversary, the devil walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. So that's a warning. That's telling us where all of these things happen. And then if it warns you, it says to be sober, be vigilant because of these things. Because the devil walks around and he calls him your adversary because he walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Now, he's like a roaring lion. Not that he is one because he's not.
Starting point is 00:37:06 But if you believe he is, then you're subject to that. And you might fall prey to his, whatever he's trying to do. And I say this to people all the time, but when you're trying to explain God to people, because a lot of times, and you guys can chime in and do whatever you want if you have something you want explain God to people, because a lot of times, and you guys can chime in and do
Starting point is 00:37:26 whatever you want, if you have something you want to add to this, but when you're trying to explain to people good and bad, a lot of times people can't relate to it, but then you put it into the perspective of, okay, God is our father, and they'll be like, yeah, God's the father. Okay, well, if you're a mother or a father, and a lot of times people you're speaking to are one, but a lot of times if they're not one, they know what a good one looks like because maybe they had one or they have a friend that had one. All right?
Starting point is 00:37:56 So somehow people know of a good parent or they are a good parent, right? And then you sit there and you say, well, okay, if you're a good parent, then you, and you, you, you think God is all these things. You as a good parent, would you give your child sickness to teach them a lesson? They'll look at you like you're freaking nuts. Of course, I would never do that. Okay. Would you as a good parent like murder or cause like steal?
Starting point is 00:38:31 I mean, would you do any of these things to your children? Would you rob them of anything? And they will think you're nuts. If you even suggest that they would cause harm to their child in any way. But yet they'll believe that God, who is a way better father and loves far superior than they do, because these people would never send their own child to a cross to redeem people that they don't know, right?
Starting point is 00:39:03 But God himself did that for them and for us. And they feel superior to him when he's far superior than they are because he loves greater than they do. And if they wouldn't do it, how can they assume or how can they presume that God would, does that make sense? Ladies? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:39:24 I know. And yet it's all God's fault. Like he allows evil. He allows suffering. He allowed redemption. He brought love to this earth. Right. So for me, it makes no sense how, if you put it like that, though, a lot of people, like
Starting point is 00:39:42 if somebody's got a sick child or somebody is suffering in some way, either they're being mistreated by someone or a family member has mistreated them. Why would God allow that? Right. You know, and you sit there and go, would you as a father allow that? And they're like, of course not. Yeah. I think that's like a genius way to approach that question. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:06 Because it's so like practical. It's very practical. Like you can literally put yourself in those shoes. Right. I agree. Yeah. And as soon as somebody, you flip the script on them, they sit there and go, okay, this makes absolutely no sense.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Yeah. And then you bring it back to, okay, but Satan, why don't you ever blame anything on him? Why is God doing this to me? Why aren't you saying, why is the devil doing this to me? Exactly. Or you might want to look in the mirror and say, I made some really bad decisions. Like financially, if you put yourself
Starting point is 00:40:40 and make some really bad decisions financially, it ain't the devil. And it's definitely not God yeah it's you yeah you maybe you went on too many shopping sprees or maybe yeah whatever maybe you didn't watch what you should have been watching which is either you're spending or you're um just not wise yeah A lot of times people have financial problems. It's not for medical reasons. It's because they don't know how to handle their money.
Starting point is 00:41:13 And so that's not God's fault. And if somebody gets sick, tap into God's scriptures and his verses because you'll find out every single time he wants to make you well. Satan wants to kill you. That's what the scripture says. You should be, if you're laying in a hospital bed or somebody's laying in a hospital bed, they should be mad at Satan. It's his doing.
Starting point is 00:41:37 And you go, well, God could do something about it. Well, he's given you free will. So it's really up to you whether you do something about do something about it which is fight your adversary yeah yeah exactly and most people just don't um i mean truthfully in all honesty i think each and every single one of us on this in the peanut gallery to me like every single time i've gotten myself in a mess, I've not blamed God. I've blamed myself. And that may have taken me a while to get to that place. But at the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:42:13 I mean, it was my fault. Most of the time, the devil didn't do anything. It was me. I hardly ever can I say as somebody who was lost, definitely it was always me. Nobody, devil didn't have to do squat. I was doing fine by myself. The fact he was going, I would have never thought about that. That's a really good, that was a good one.
Starting point is 00:42:37 That was a good one. I could have never even thought that up myself. Oh my gosh. But when it's been, even as a Christian, I mean, poor decision-making at times on my part, or thinking I was doing it right, when I thought I would have just slowed down and listened to the Holy Spirit, I would have been like, don't say that. Don't do that. You know, that's probably not the wisest of things to do right now.
Starting point is 00:43:00 I mean, there's just a number of things. Made lots of mistakes. Said a lot of things I shouldn't say. But those were not God. Right. That was all me and my personal choice. And very rarely has the devil had anything that he has. He come against my family. Yeah, he has. But even that, if we would have been on top of things, spiritually speaking, probably never would have happened the way that it did but even that i look at like even with norma people will say uh stuff about norma like when she got um put in the hospital for those 10 days um with an icu when they first diagnosed her with
Starting point is 00:43:40 type one um which i you know they diagnosed with that, but they diagnosed her with a bunch of other things that she no longer has, which were things that they told us she'll live with for the rest of her life. And the Lord completely told us those, that's not true, even the type one. But I'll go back to this. When the Lord told me is you will, what Satan's come against you with, you will never financially deal with. You will not pay for one bill. He will not get you in the financial aspect of this, and we'll get the victory on the health side too. And I was like, how in the world is that possible? 10 days in ICU, and then you go out of all children's, and I mean, there was ambulance. I mean, it was the emergency room at Inglewood Hospital. I mean, it's the emergency room at Englewood Hospital.
Starting point is 00:44:25 I mean, it was the whole gamut. And I'm like, how in the world? But you know what, Lord? I'm taking you at your word. You told me I'm not paying one daggum bill. I don't know how that's going to be possible. But I'm going to stand on that. We never received one bill.
Starting point is 00:44:40 One bill. Wow. And there would have been tens of thousands of dollars. Yep. And not one bill came our way. How does that work? I don't know. I mean, it should have been almost $100,000.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Wow. That's insane. I'm just telling you. It's insanity. That is so good. He's so good. She was put in the hospital one time, and she had, I don't know, four surgeries in two days, three days. And even that, like miraculously, the stuff that happened with that, miraculous. And that shouldn't even have happened
Starting point is 00:45:15 except for, well, that's a whole nother story. But I'm just saying, like, even those things, I'm just telling you, you take God at his word. You believe for big things. Satan can't, can't come against you. He can try, but God will win on the other side. It all depends. And you claim those things, you stand on those things and you speak those things and you will get those results. I cannot tell you how many things, how many stories I could tell you personally where God's come through for us. It's insanity. But then you add into where you've ministered into people's lives. They've taken the truth that are in the word and seen how victories come their way. Yeah. And absolutely. Which goes into my next question,
Starting point is 00:46:01 but I'm going to do our sponsor time really quick. Perfect. Let's do Laura Keller. Laura Keller and Real Estate Appraisal Associates of Southwest Florida. She's been in business since 2005. She is a Florida State certified residence appraiser and has been for 24 years. So you can call her if you're listening to this at 941-743-3700 because you can't see the graphic that everybody else can. Again, her number is 941swflappraisals.com.
Starting point is 00:47:51 So it's Southwest Florida Appraisals dot com. So Southwest is abbreviated. Florida is abbreviated. Appraisals dot com. All right. Let's go to Hanson Automotive. Hanson Automotive. Hanson Automotive, you can reach him at 941-460-3962, located in Englund on Placida Road. Hanson Automotive Services has been in business since 2017 with 20 years experience.
Starting point is 00:48:16 How is that possible? I do not know because he looks pretty young, but 20 years doing that. They do everything from oil changes to tires to AC work to engine repair and replacement. They are not just motivated to do their best. They are auto-motivated. That's a little change of words. How do you call that? That's a little something along the words. How do you say that?
Starting point is 00:48:38 That's a little... When they changed it that they are not motivated, they're auto-motivated. Play on words? Play on words. Thank you, they're auto-motivated. That's a little... Play on words. Play on words. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:48:48 You're welcome. I love that. Their business lives by Proverbs 16.3, which is commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. And they do a phenomenal job. So again, number is 941-4609, excuse me, 3962. Nick Hanson, you will not be disappointed if62 Nick Hanson you will not be disappointed
Starting point is 00:49:06 if you call Hanson's Automotive there we go and $50 discount if she said 50% Heather might have
Starting point is 00:49:14 caught that we were looking we have our first supporter on Rumble gave $10 today so we were
Starting point is 00:49:21 trying to figure out that situation but Heather caught the 50%. God bless you, Heather. $50 discount. $50. Oh, my gosh. Sorry, Laura. You'll die. $50.
Starting point is 00:49:30 $50. $50. $50. Not 50%. $50. God bless. Okay, good. I'll die.
Starting point is 00:49:38 I'll end up paying the difference. I know, exactly. With that $10 that was just given. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. Our Rumble dollars would be the first thing to go. Our Rumble dollars are going up, and we'll have to put that out. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:49:52 Next question. The next question that is one of the seven Google questions is, does life have a purpose? Isn't that interesting? That's a good question. Does life have a purpose? Isn't that sad? Yes question does life have a purpose mm-hmm and that's sad yes it is yep but that's what everybody complex like you think like what's my purpose when you're not a believer you're like why am I even here like I'm working a dead-end job like okay I have kids but they're not even doing that good and my marriage isn't great like it's just like everyone's there's no hope everyone's asking what's the purpose of life right you hear that all the time yeah like movies and yeah as
Starting point is 00:50:29 you get older yeah you know when you're not living in your like moment to moment you're like okay 40 years went by yeah what was the point like that's i mean some people like literally have like uh what is it called midlife crisis where that's what they think they think like right why am I here what am i doing yeah yeah which I am like I don't even know like you know when I didn't when I wasn't a Christian I didn't really care what the purpose of life was I was all about partying I was so young but then you get to be older, and this question, I guess there's probably, like, my daughter never lived like that,
Starting point is 00:51:11 and neither did Tommy. So maybe they would have said, what's the purpose in life? So maybe there are young people. Older people I get this for, because if they feel like they've accomplished nothing, and, like, suicide's right around the corner. Seriously. Yeah, I know. Because a lot of people, people like if they feel like there's no hope that's
Starting point is 00:51:29 when they start contemplating things that they should not contemplate mm-hmm yep absolutely in today's world right now suicide is at an all-time high mm-hmm because of fear because you know and kovat was around people were like thinking they were going to die or I don't know COVID made people do some really crazy things and then financially it killed so many businesses that they didn't really have a purpose in life right does that make sense for me I'm like I've never felt like that, since I've become a believer again, which I was in my I was I think I was 25 when I got my life right with God again. I might have been 24.
Starting point is 00:52:10 But you sit there and go, that's a that's like that's a true thing. People really don't know what their purpose is. And I can't imagine what that would be like. Yeah, I can't either. Because with God, you have many purposes. Yeah. Yeah. So for me, I have many purposes. Yeah. Yeah. So for me, I absolutely do know what the purpose in life is.
Starting point is 00:52:29 Personally and spiritually, there are, I mean, everybody should like, everybody's got like, what's great about God is he gives you your spiritual purpose with your gifts and your callings. But then usually the gift that you have, I think of Mariana, right? Yeah. Who, you don't know what I think of Mariana, right? Yeah. Who you don't know what I'm talking about, people, but they do. Right now, she's an artist, right? So it just so happens her gift and her skill set,
Starting point is 00:52:59 she's using also spiritually speaking. Some people, a lot of times the gifts that God gives you, if you sing, he wants to use that for his worship. So whatever your gift and talent is, that's one of your purposes is to use that. But I made a list. Personal purposes could be family and friends, career, hobbies. And a lot of people go, well, my career is like a bottomless pit. I don't see any purpose in it.
Starting point is 00:53:30 But then I think of people like a Jeff Tomas or a Jer or a Lee Benz. Okay. Like I just talked to Lee Benz this week. And Lee was saying to me, he has climbed up the ladder so high in his company. But he was telling me that one of the things that he, before he got so big in the company, one of the things that he held dear to him was when he was making calls. And while he was making calls,
Starting point is 00:53:57 he would run into people that were sick or needed to be saved. I mean, he was winning people to the Lord. He was soul winning. He was winning people to the Lord. He was soul winning. He was laying hands on the sick. He was standing in prayer for people who were believing for a loved one that was either sick or was in some kind of trouble. Or he felt like that was his purpose. And that's one of the things that he misses.
Starting point is 00:54:22 Because not that his job is not fulfilling, but it's not fulfilling spiritually speaking for him. And in your job, you can go from feeling like your job is very purposeful to one that you're just like day in and day out, it's drudgery. And I'm not saying that's how Lee feels because I don't think it is, but there's a lot of people who do feel like that
Starting point is 00:54:43 because they don't think it is but there's a lot of people who do feel like that yeah because they don't see a uh spiritual purpose like a Jeff Tomas he's going into people's homes and he's spiritually giving them guidance and counsel or finances but also maritally sometimes oh absolutely there are times where, like a life event happens in one of his clients lives. And he's one of the first people that gets contacted and he's able to pray and speak life over the situation. Yeah. Yeah. So again, your job can be very fulfilling. Maybe you pick the wrong career. And if that's the case true do a shift true do a shift do it because then man you're unstoppable because you're doing things spiritually speaking that fulfill you and then carnally you're making money while you're
Starting point is 00:55:38 spiritually doing god's work there's hobbies yep And sometimes people allow their hobbies to get in the way of their spiritual walk, but perspective on things, right? So there's purposes. There's personal purposes that you can fulfill in your life. Find the hobby that you absolutely love and not necessarily you're good at. It's like sometimes you got to work really hard at a hobby to get really good at it. It's like, again, Magalas and Adalas, they suck at golf, but they're out there. They're trying to get it. Do you know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:12 Eventually, they'll either get it or they'll just have fun trying to. And how many of us can say that? The same thing. For me, like, I don't really have a hobby. Yeah. I don't. I'm thinking of a hobby that i might take up but oh yeah which you'll all be in the loop for i don't know if you're really wanting to do it but is it pickable no it's not a sport like that okay that's not a sport it's one that adalys told me that she's like she's like you do this. And I'm like, I don't really care.
Starting point is 00:56:47 I know what it is. What is it? You know what it is? Were you there when she told me you needed to do it? Is it guns? Yeah, it's guns. She told me. She's like, you got to create.
Starting point is 00:56:56 You got to get a girl's. Pew, pew. What? Pew, pew. Pew, pew. What's a pew, pew? A gun. Oh, well, we have plenty of guns.
Starting point is 00:57:06 Yeah. Like, no, she was saying, which I'm going to have to get Travis involved in this, but she's like, you've got to get a girl's gun group. But I'm like, well, okay, you don't have to have concealed weapons to carry here. But I'm like, I have my thing thingy me and Heather both went and took the class but we never go wait and got our permits but we don't have to have it anymore thank you Jesus but I'm like I've only shot like once or twice she's like you got to you got to you got to do it you got to become better and then you get a girl's group too I'm like I know so I'm
Starting point is 00:57:41 seriously contemplating that because the times, well, her, I think her thought processes into it. The times that we live in. Yeah, I agree. Everybody should know how to shoot a gun. I had a conversation with Logan. But be prepared for the worst.
Starting point is 00:57:53 Yes. There you go. So. I take excellent crotch shots. She does. I've heard. She does. My daughter.
Starting point is 00:58:00 I text, I text Logan about this probably before she had CJ. I'm like, I need you to just go with me and shoot my gun because i had an issue at my house it was really weird and i was like immediately thought like even if i have my gun on me i like what am i gonna do yeah which i would figure it out so don't come at me bro but also i would love to be yeah i would love tom tom's pretty much take the rifle and you'll never miss.
Starting point is 00:58:26 Absolutely. Yeah. True. Yeah. Which I'm all for. But also, I'd love to know how to shoot my gun. That too. My little one that I can carry.
Starting point is 00:58:34 And I'd love to aim. And I'd love to aim. Yeah. Like more of a. So I've seriously been contemplating that. I love that. Please do. Please contemplate it.
Starting point is 00:58:44 Seriously been contemplating it. I'll bring the snacks do. Please contemplate it. Seriously been contemplating it. I'll bring the snacks. I just got to get, oh my gosh. Which I got to recruit Travis. And that man's so busy. Yeah. I know. Trust me.
Starting point is 00:58:58 I know he is. A lot of people would need to take that class, which is probably me. I need to take that class over again. Nah, you're good. No, trust me. I don't know how good I am. Yeah. I probably need to take that class, which is probably me. I need to take that class over again. Nah, you're good. No, trust me. I don't know how good I am. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:07 I probably need to take a jam. He's very thorough. You don't know how to fix a jam? Huh? You don't know how to fix a jam. I'd figure it out. No. YouTube it right now.
Starting point is 00:59:14 Oh my gosh. You don't have time to YouTube it sometimes. What are you talking about? It's just practicing it. We already know all the rules. Now we just need to practice. Practice, practice, practice. Kayla's in. August Arum's in. Oh yeah, look practice practice oh yeah let's go i think we need to take i think listen i think we need to take a class i'll meet you on the course it will will and travis but travis it's really travis's class but will comes
Starting point is 00:59:37 and supports and helps him because okay cool it's a hot mess i'm seriously contemplating it, though. Yeah, let's do it. Please. A girl's gun group. Let's go. Girl's gun group. GGG. GGG. GGG. Look at that. We need shirts.
Starting point is 00:59:52 Girl, okay. I'll make one right now. GGG. With bling on Canva. Maybe like pink camo. Ooh. The Gs. That's what we'll be called.
Starting point is 01:00:00 The Gs. Ooh, I like it. I know. And then you put girl's gun group underneath it. The Gs. The Gs. The Gs. There we's. I like it. And then you put girls gun group underneath it. The G's. The G's. The G's. There we go.
Starting point is 01:00:07 I like it. Yeah. I literally, since she, I can't tell you how many times I've thought about it. So that I might be, because I stink at it. Same. But, so you, so another thing, hobbies. Find a hobby that you love and you become very good at, right? Because you never know
Starting point is 01:00:26 when you might need it. Then there's skills, art, music, writing. Like, okay, so a lot of times people have skill sets. Like maybe you're a great talker. Maybe you need to study the Bible because you'd be a great teacher. You speak, you know the word, then you end up teaching because you might be that might be one which we'll get into but you that might be one of the fourfold ministries that's god's calling you to but you don't do it because you don't feel like you have a purpose or you don't know your purpose and part of you not knowing your purpose is because you don't know the word there's so many things but through all if you know a purpose, it'll help you. I wrote this down.
Starting point is 01:01:07 It helps you overcome challenges and struggles. It helps others to overcome challenges and struggles. And your spiritual purposes might be fulfilling your calling. It might be using your gifts and talents for him. And if you don't know what they are, we're going to tell you right now. So you can maybe feel it out and see if one triggers you. And if you still don't know, then you maybe need to pray about it. So we're going to talk about the fivefold ministries. I said four, but it's five. Sorry, because I've got four
Starting point is 01:01:35 in my head. Fivefold ministries, and then we're going to move to gifts and callings, right? Or gifts of the Spirit. So let's look at Ephesians 4, 11 through 12, which is the Amplified Classic, which is so good for explaining this, right? So this is the five-fold ministries, knowing what God has called you to. Which one of these things has he potentially called you to? His gifts were varied.
Starting point is 01:02:03 He himself appointed and gave men to us, some to be apostles, which are special messengers, some prophets, inspired preachers and expounders, some evangelists, preachers of the gospel, traveling missionaries, some pastors, shepherds of his flock, and teachers. Now, you can be many of those things, just so you know. You can actually have all five of those things. You don't have to just be one, but how many of you are going after any of them? That's the question.
Starting point is 01:02:34 Okay? If God's called you to be it, then you need to operate in it. His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints are you a saint there you go his consecrated people that they should do the work of ministering toward building up christ's body the church which is exactly what you were talking about who was saying being the hands that was vanessa being the hands and feet and the body of Christ with the worship team.
Starting point is 01:03:06 Then there's the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Let's look at them. 1 Corinthians 12, 4 through 11. This is Amplified Classic. Now there are distinctive varieties and distributions of endowments. And endowments are gifts, extraordinary powers, distinguishing certain Christians due to the power of divine grace operating in their souls by the Holy Spirit. And they vary by the Holy Spirit remains the same. But the Spirit remains the same.
Starting point is 01:03:37 And there are distinctive varieties of service and ministrations, but it is the same Lord who is served. A lot of people forget that part. A lot of times when you're doing ministry, you forget you're serving the Lord in the ministry, not yourself or the people that you're serving for. It's the Lord. At the end of the day, and one of the things that Tom is big on, and on anybody who does any ministry, doing any kind of ministering here at the church, and he watches people like Hawks, and he knows exactly what people are doing, is are you operating in your ministry in excellence? If you are not, then he's going to pull you back. He's going to send someone into
Starting point is 01:04:29 counsel. If it's not him, it'll be somebody else to counsel and to bring you back up to the level that you should be operating in. Because we do things unto the Lord. Not halfway, not fly by the seat of your pants. You don't go into your Bible study and just wing it because you didn't take the time that you should have to study the Word of God. That's not how we operate at Foundation Church. But a lot of times, people forget who they're serving. Your gifts and your talents and your calling
Starting point is 01:05:02 are to serve the body of Christ, but they should be done in excellence unto him, unto the Lord, because you are serving him when you're doing it. People forget that. They don't do things in excellence. And it's very dangerous because that'll just flow into other parts of your life. Also dangerous. That's one of the reasons why I say if you have a dirty house,
Starting point is 01:05:25 maybe for a part of your ministry is as you invite people into your home, so you clean your dirty house. You start operating in excellence. Yeah, great idea. Operate in excellence in every part of your life. I've known people who complain about their husband who works outside all day long.
Starting point is 01:05:47 I've literally had to tell somebody whose husband works outside all day long, and they're complaining because they don't have the money to have an air condition. He works outside in the heat all day long, and they're complaining about having to cook him a meal in the heat for about an hour and a half when he's outside working in the heat to provide a home for you. Do things in excellence. Yeah. A hundred percent. Yeah. And maybe the air conditioner will get turned on. I don't know. Serve your husband. Honor your husband. Absolutely. It's all perspective. I mean, people and how they think and how they live, I don't know. I don't get it.
Starting point is 01:06:30 I really don't. But that's for another day. Operate in your gifts and callings and excellence. And I'm just telling you, it'll flow right over to the rest of your life. Your marriage will be a success. Your children will be a success. Your house will be clean and neat and tidy as it should be. It'll be in order, which flows from the church to the home. They're both the same. And there are distinctive varieties of operation of working to accomplish
Starting point is 01:06:59 things, but it is the same God who inspires and energizes them all in all. Isn't that beautiful? He energizes it. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Holy Spirit, the evidence, the spiritual illumination of the Spirit for good and profit. To one is given in and through the Holy Spirit the power to speak a message of wisdom, and to another the power to express a word of knowledge. Is this you do you have the ability and the gift to to give a message of wisdom a word of knowledge and understanding according to the same holy spirit those are two different um gifts to another
Starting point is 01:07:40 wonder working faith by the same holy spirit and this is like when we were doing our ladies Conference Remember someone asked What would be each one of our gifts If we could get one And Dallas said first Faith And the thing is
Starting point is 01:08:00 People would be like Why would you choose that one Because if you have the gift of faith, it encompasses all of these. Like for me, Andrew Womack is one of the first people who will tell you, I do not have the gift of healing, but he has the gift of faith. And through his gift of faith, he has seen many miracles, but he's also seen many healings. That's why, if you notice, all of us said the gift of faith because all of us
Starting point is 01:08:25 understand that one gift does them all. Understanding that is super powerful. Lots of like Kenneth Hagin had the gift of healing, but he had the gift of faith. He had both. So gift of faith, it will help you enormously because financially, when you have to believe for something, you'll use that gift and you'll see it come to pass. Very true. You know, so there's something very you will make you not move when you're not supposed to move. Right. Like example, again, Adalas believing for 20 plus years that they believe that the house was going to be given to them.
Starting point is 01:09:01 They never wavered on that. And I can say Tom and I have had to stand very similar things for very long periods of time. They never wavered on that. And there were opportunity, there were times of opportunity where they could have gotten a mortgage and bought a house. But that gift of faith or believing that what they heard would come to pass
Starting point is 01:09:25 allowed them to not waver in what they were supposed to do. So that's a big and powerful thing. We'll keep going. Another extraordinary powers of healing by the one spirit to another the working of miracles. And to another, prophetic insight. Which one of these are you guys? You can have more than one.
Starting point is 01:09:51 But that's the purpose in life. The purpose is operating in these gifts. Having a five-fold ministry. That's the purpose in life. You can have your personal, but you also have a spiritual. And when you put both of those together, your life is fulfilled. You'll never wonder, what's my purpose? To another, prophetic insight. The gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose. To another, the ability to discern and distinguish between the utterances of true spirits and false ones.
Starting point is 01:10:16 That's powerful. Yeah. To another, various kinds of unknown tongues. To another, the ability to interpret tongues all these gifts achievements achievements abilities are inspired and brought to pass by one and the same holy spirit who apportions to each person individually exactly as he chooses and you can have all of them you ask and it shall be given to you can you handle all of them that the question. Then you add in these last little things that I say. If you add in these last like one, two, three, four,
Starting point is 01:10:52 four things, you can't ask what my purpose in life is anymore. Winning the lost, discipling believers, bringing hope to people in situations, building and supporting the body of Christ. You add those four things to whatever else was mentioned beforehand, through your gifts and callings and the five-fold ministry, you add that in, you'll never ever have the chance to say, what's my purpose? Correct. Absolutely. ever have the chance to say what's my purpose correct absolutely you'll be too busy
Starting point is 01:11:26 fulfilling his purpose and then having your fun on your personal things absolutely yep but what a great i mean yes what a great question though and a lot of people have it but it's an easy answer yeah do you guys have anything you want to add? I would say on like the umbrella to that, like I think of and I have it pulled up here. First Corinthians 1031. So then whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of our great God. That's a good one. So when we operate in our gifts and our in our callings and we're operating in the fivefold ministry, like all of that, all of that, the, the, the umbrella over that is just to give, give God glory. So our purpose in life is to glorify God in everything that we do and everything that we,
Starting point is 01:12:20 you know, operate in. So it's really cool. Yeah. And that reminds me of Romans 12, the message version, of course. Place your life before God. So here's what I want you to do. God helping you take care of every day, ordinary life, you're sleeping, you're eating, going to work and walking around life and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing that you can do for him. Don't become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out, readily recognizing what he wants from
Starting point is 01:12:51 you and quick to respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings out the best of you, develops well-formed maturity inside of you. Oh, that's so good. Good job message. Yes. Actually, it's true. No, that's that's that. That was that was very well done. That is. And it is. It's just everything you do. And if you do that, like I have so much going on right now. But every
Starting point is 01:13:17 single thing I have in my life, I love like I couldn't. And God's not told me to like put this down or put that like he's just like, keep going. I'm going to give you the grace. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. But you know, it's so funny. Even in the things that are tough. Yep.
Starting point is 01:13:31 You know. Plenty of tough stuff. Yeah. There's plenty of tough stuff. Plenty of tough stuff. There's a lot. And sometimes there's tough pills to swallow. A hundred percent.
Starting point is 01:13:39 But you swallow that pill. Yeah. And then you see on the other side, you sit there and go, oh, wait a minute. Yeah. I see on the other side you sit there and go oh wait a minute yeah i'm on the other side now and although that pill was tough to swallow like now i see the winning yeah i'm on that i'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and victory is there yes of course always will be always will be always if you just swallow the tough pill swallow it yeah and sometimes it's a pellet versus a horse pill true depending on where you are with your walk with god it can be a really tough thing to swallow or it can be like
Starting point is 01:14:13 super easy because you're just like yeah i know the end result is i'm gonna win i don't know how i'm gonna win right i'm in that i'm in that that phase of life right now where there's a lot of tough things right now but i'm unfazed to be honest with you by them here you like every time something wants to rise up inside of me i'm like no no no no no no no no no because you win every time right every single time right i don't know how but but somehow something's going to shift. Amen. Yes. And then I'm going to win.
Starting point is 01:14:49 Yep. So I'm not worrying about this. I'm not thinking about this. Same. I'm falling asleep just like Jesus did in the ship. That is the blessed assurance that we have. Amen. Like Peter in the cell.
Starting point is 01:15:00 Yep. I know. I love that part of the story. You have to just peace be still. Yeah. Every time. Every time. And then you win. I know. I love that part of the story. You have to just peace be still. Yeah. Every time, every time. And then you win every time. If you don't know Jesus, do you have anything else you want to add to that? That was good. If you want to, if you don't know Jesus as your Lord and savior, or if you've walked away from him, let's just take the time. I mean, some people just don't know what they're, they should be doing. And maybe you just stumbled upon this like podcast and you're like, this is interesting, but it's not for me.
Starting point is 01:15:31 But it really is for you because you're lacking somewhere and you know you're lacking. God is the fixer and he can just like take whatever that void is because he's the only void that will ever fulfill. I mean, it's so crazy to me how God created us all. And there's a spot that's just meant for him. You know, you put a puzzle piece together, a puzzle together, and there's just that one piece missing that actually explains the whole picture of the puzzle. You know what I'm talking about? Yep. And that one piece, if you had that one piece, then the whole thing would make sense.
Starting point is 01:16:10 Yep. And he's that one piece. He made us each with a God-shaped void that only he can fulfill. And without that, you will never be satisfied, you will never be content, and your life will just not seem meaningful. But with him, all of that, he flips the script. So if you don't know him today, say this simple prayer with me and a new life begins for you if you so choose it. Because just
Starting point is 01:16:36 you can say this prayer, go back to your old way of life because you have free will. So you can say this prayer and nothing changes, or you can say this prayer and today can be a brand new day for you. And like everything new from this moment on is new in your life. Say this prayer. Heavenly Father, I come to you right now. I thank you for what you did on the cross. I thank you for dying for my sins. I ask you to forgive me of my sins. And from this day forward, I live for you. I will live with you for eternity in heaven. I will do what you tell me to do from this moment forward.
Starting point is 01:17:21 And I will not do what you tell me not to do. From this time on. In Jesus' mighty name we pray. Amen. So basically, whatever direction you were headed in, you are going to go in the opposite direction. And if it's a positive thing he tells you to do, then you do it. If it's a negative thing that he tells you to do, then you still do it. And if it's something that you've always done and no good result comes from it until he tells you not to do it, but you've always done it, today's the day you don't do it again.
Starting point is 01:17:56 And when you start making decisions based on what he tells you to do, based on that conviction in your heart, that's when new things begin in your life. And fresh starts and new beginnings happen. Yes, that's your village. That's my arc message right there. Find your tribe. Yeah. Oh my gosh. And love them well. Oh my gosh. But it will, what they're saying, we're making fun of it because that's what the Ark Church does. Yeah, you're home. But everything, you are home, but everything from this moment forward is fresh and new. That's it.
Starting point is 01:18:31 It is fresh and new for you, if you so choose. If you choose, yep. Because you have to go the opposite direction, which is what most people won't tell you. Correct. Yeah. Repentance is 180 degree turn. Yep. And you must do that.
Starting point is 01:18:45 Otherwise, you've made no change. It's the best thing you can do. Best thing you can ever do. Everything you think you're giving up, you're actually gaining. Amen. And you just don't know it. Total freedom. New friends.
Starting point is 01:18:58 Yep. New life. Yep. I sit there and think of some young people that I know that started this church, that they were saved, but man, they were like, they've even said, I don't even know if I was saved because all they've done is ever gone to lukewarm churches and had had, you know, lots of life's life has, has thrown them some tough curves and starting to come to this church and realizing like doing everything opposite
Starting point is 01:19:23 of what they've always done has been the most freeing thing they've ever experienced. And they literally cannot believe the life that they lead right now. I know. Just simply be doing the opposite of everything they've ever done. Yep. That's it. George Costanza principle from Seinfeld. Everything you've ever known to do, you do the opposite of it. And man, you'll live your best life. Amen. Thank you for joining us. We will see you on Sunday, either in person or on live stream.
Starting point is 01:19:57 Right? Yeah. 1005 is when we start. It is. Not my choice. I'd be starting at 10. We start at 1005. 1005, tune us in. become a part of Foundation Church.
Starting point is 01:20:09 You won't regret it. We will love you through whatever you need, whatever your situation is, we will help you. We will love you, not through it, we will get you out of it. You're not gonna stay in it. And then be back here on Wednesday. See ya.
Starting point is 01:20:25 Bye. Real talk. Real talk. Real talk.
