Hello and welcome to the Hope Hotline. Real Talk. was it Friday, Thursday, Wednesday, Friday? Which one was it? Yeah, Friday. Yeah. Let's catch up on
that. Okay. Well, so the models for our little friend out there, which we obviously doesn't
have a name yet because it's not doing, it's literally just hanging out. They're saying 40%
chance it'll do something, but these are the models. So we have, um, the one on the left side going to the left and then we have the right side kind of a mess so
all I've heard so far is it seems messy and it probably won't do a whole lot
I do have my little like climb thing which I showed you guys last week this is what it looks
like right now I'm gonna kind of just scroll through pretty quickly. So this is Wednesday and we're watching towards the bottom. I'll end up. Wednesday meaning today? Wednesday meaning today.
And yes, so this is Thursday. This is Friday. And then I'm going to move the thing a little bit so
you can kind of see we're watching that bottom corn right above where it says Saturday. So we're
kind of watching that. Again, this is just the forecast. This is a wind forecast from the climb
app. And this is where they're thinking it might do something right around there and then they
don't know where it's going to go so the climb um wind forecast is kind of showing this is november
4th this is november 5th so that would be election day so pretty far away so that's so even though so
the election day thing is out the window it looks like. It looks like it's not doing a whole lot.
100%.
So it looks pretty wild after this.
Like if that really is what it does.
I mean, it's like this is November 10th, November 11th, but not towards Florida.
Again, this is just a forecast.
So we don't know really what will pan out.
But that's why I think both models that I showed earlier, I'll cut real quick.
That's why they're kind of chaotic. showed earlier I'll cut real quick that's why
they're kind of chaotic um it really depends on what the winds do like we talked about so we just
but that's exciting so the good wind blowing right below that sucker like on out yeah exactly and it
totally could it could just go Atlantic right out the Euro is usually the most accurate. Yes, correct. And it has it Northwest. Yes. Yep.
So would Northwest be Texas, Houston? It could be, yeah. Or it could just disintegrate if it
doesn't pick up, but they are like, their concern is that the waters are very, very warm right now.
And we haven't really had a ton of like cold snaps. Um, but it still has to go over land again,
right? It could. I mean, but if we go back and look real quick, if the one on the right, really had a ton of like cold snaps um but it still has to go over land again right it could
i mean but if we go back and look real quick if the one on the right if it follows this and goes
out towards this blue it kind of gets complicated like towards the top um where it gets dark blue
where it's near like the different islands like above like um dominican republic and stuff like
that so and then it looks like it curls back. But again, it's so far out.
It's not been created at all yet.
Well, they haven't worked on it just yet
to make it be something.
You sound like a conspiracy theorist over there.
I've done my job.
They have to do a little.
Well, they admit it.
I know they do.
They admit all this stuff,
but nobody wants to believe it
because the government's for us. It's like Bill Gates
going to the TED Talk
and talk about if we do a real good job
with vaccines
and we can
control the population
and decrease it. Yep.
I mean, in plain sight.
I know. And then there
are those that go,
the vaccine's good for ya. That's a lie. I know. Believe then there are those that go, the vaccine's good for you.
That's a lie.
I know.
Believe the science.
Yeah.
When they're having like pandemic talks.
It's not coincidence, people.
Nope.
And now I'm going to be Facebook unfriendly again.
That's it.
I know.
It just makes it fitting flag.
I know.
There it goes.
Always. Probably YouTube too. Oh, yeah. I don't care about them. I know. I'm friendly again. That's it. I know. This just makes it fitting flag. I know. There it goes. Always.
Probably YouTube too.
Oh, yeah.
I don't care about them.
I know.
Same thing.
I'm here for who I'm here for.
Exactly.
And everybody else can pounce and.
Absolutely.
So.
Absolutely.
Whatever.
What did you do all day today?
You know what I did all day, don't you?
Do you know what I did all day?
No.
Who sent that to you?
You know who sent that to me.
Oh, a little angel from heaven. Eight o'clock eight. It was at eight or eight 30. I don't,
I think I got this at eight 30 this morning from her. Can I share it? Can we share it? Yeah. Okay.
Look at this girl. She's such a hard worker. I got it in the text and I was like, you are an angel.
And she's like, she's just a hard worker.
Look how hard she works.
As you hear Heather's rooster.
Look at that.
Like a professional.
Oh my gosh. That was so funny.
I've been asking for a video.
Like,
I want to see her in action.
You've never seen me on a tractor?
No,
I've seen like pictures of you,
but not like,
not like this.
Not like this.
Taya has,
Taya has me
pulling out
crap from
Bill's place.
Bill's place.
Okay.
But this was, this was special because this wall that special because this wall that you're building is something.
Yeah.
I'm building the, okay, so I'm going to, he's going to remain nameless.
Okay, good.
But Travis helped me build the ramp going into that thing.
Okay.
Okay. I filled the dirt thing. Okay. Okay.
I filled the dirt inside.
Yeah.
I don't even know how many loads.
It's astronomical.
It looks like it.
That's, I mean, it's astronomical.
I believe you.
So, because that thing was only supposed to not even be half that size.
Right.
It's high.
Right.
It's very tall.
But the county is evil.
And so I'll have the Tower of Babel now on my property.
It's going to be like, kid you not.
It's going to be, Heather's house is on stilts.
Okay.
Pilings.
Right.
My garage is going to be higher than her house i think
if not it'll be the same height and i'm not exaggerating and i listen it looks tall it's
the tower of babel so i feel like so okay travis when we went to on saturday yeah i'm in a rush to
get all these millings and stuff in there,
which kudos to some other people that I can't name, but they watch the podcast.
Gotta love you.
I'm waiting to send you pictures of the work that you helped me out with.
Like this, this, this is where I say all the time, like you got to have faith in what God,
like if you're doing things right.
And even if you screw up a little bit, like we didn't screw up.
Just rules change.
So what this thing should have cost and what it was supposed to be are two different things.
So this is one of the reasons I said to Bill, like I keep seeing cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching every time I blink my eyes.
Cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching every time I like my blink, my eyes, cha-ching, right? But I'm not worried about it because I know God continually just, he knew the road before us
and he knows like what we got and what we need and everything else. So
the crazy thing is, is we needed now with that inside of that thing we were going to need a total of we had already had
15 loads of dirt to deliver to our house yeah now that was astronomical because dirt's about 425 to
450 dollars a load so crazy it's insane so we needed the pad yeah and uh we got that for the best prices we possibly could and to save money
uh because it's 90 a load for the tractor to build the pad so i said to bill i'm like bill
because he had he's all gonna bring my tractor over i'll build the pad i'm like bill but he's
so busy i'm like um can i build the pad and he's like i don't know i'm like teach Bill, but he's so busy. I'm like, can I build a pad?
And he's like, I don't know.
I'm like, teach me how to run the tractor.
Like, I mean, I'm not the brightest light bulb in the box, but I mean, how hard can it be? It's a task.
Yeah.
It's not that hard.
I mean, you got to figure things out, but it's, you know, moving dirt.
Yeah.
I mean, they train monkeys to do different things.
I mean, hello.
I can move dirt.
No.
But you have to have a method.
Oh, my gosh.
And if you have somebody who knows the method that you can ask, like, I would send him pictures.
I'm not.
He trained the monkey, but the monkey still doesn't know how to actually do the pad.
Okay.
So I would just send a
picture so okay what is does this look right because i think this is what you said right and
you're like okay yeah that's right but now you need to do this this and this okay that's where
god comes in yeah because god set us up so bill bill that helped bill because bill didn't have
time to do that right and i wrote on the side I was telling the guy that's out there right now,
which I'm not going to tell anybody his name,
because then people will be bugging the crap out of him to help them.
But I sat on the side of the tractor for like 45 minutes
while Bill showed me how to move the tractor,
run the back, how you make things smooth.
And then he just left.
And built the pad. And then the tower of Babel was created
and we thought it was only gonna be like three cores a block and it's six cores a block yeah
wow yeah it's really high yeah it's really high it's the tower of Babel uh-huh well the thing is
is all of that has to be filled with dirt right Right. We were told that it's probably going to take about 15 loads of dirt in there at $450 a pop.
So I was talking to Travis.
I'm telling Travis, I'm like, yeah, I got to get dirt for that thing.
I got to find a deal because this thing keeps just getting bigger and more expensive.
And so far, God's been really good and set everything up for us.
We've saved here and saved there.
Like the tractor, each load,
each pile would have been $90.
And that was, when I got that thing,
it was 12, that's $1,200 we saved
because I did it.
Like sweat equity, me and Tom are not afraid of it.
And we've never been afraid of it.
You gotta, like people think that everybody's like,
I've seen Pastor Rodney.
People think that he doesn't do anything.
His hands are off and he doesn't get involved.
That man is heavily involved in everything.
And so you got to be willing to like do a little bit of work.
Absolutely.
And so I was telling Travis and Travis was like, hey, this guy who's actually at my house right now.
He's like, hey, he has somebody who he knows that does
uh that has a guy that's trucking those millings on 41 for all the road debris he's like I wonder
if you could put that road debris in there it's like 150 a load and I'm like what so I call Bill
Bill's like heck yeah you can do the mill do the millings and he goes but I know this guy
and I mean I haven't talked to him really in a while
but I know this guy and he used to work for them he's high up and he actually could probably help
you out he tells me the name I talk to these people they used to come to the church like
they still like this is still their church yeah you know who you are and I called him up and I'm
like you know what's the deal he's like his wife is in the
background I'm gonna pray you get it for free and I'm like free yeah holy moly like I'm willing to
pay right right we ended up getting this stuff for less than he he has set everything up these
people for the road debris you're not nobody, nobody gets this stuff. Like it's
like it's a miracle that I'm
getting this stuff. Yeah. So funny.
For what I'm getting it. Right. Right.
God is
I'm just telling you the lengths
and the depths and how far he'll go
for you and the people
that he'll put in your path and then the favor
that they have. Right. You never
have to worry about a daggum thing.
And I still see dollar signs with this place, but I just know, I'm like, it's fun to see
how it all plays out.
It's because I, like I literally told you, the guy that Tom used to work for doing concrete,
he came to us and he said, I'm not going to, I'm only going to charge you for the material.
I'm not charging you for labor.
I'm not charging you for nothing.
We're just going to, I'm like, what?
I would have never asked for that. Right. Let alone expected that. That's hard work. Right. Very hard work. But that's when I like people pay your tithe.
Don't worry about like we were, we were talking about people right now are not, they're giving,
they're not paying their tithe. And the reason they're, they're giving versus paying their tithe,
they're hoping that that they'll still
find favor with the Lord and be able to pay their bills because things are getting tight.
Finances are getting stretched. And so what they'll do is they'll give instead of pay the
tithe. That's not what the word says.
And you won't, I mean, God will still help you,
but to get the same results,
the covenant promise that he has,
it's not gonna work.
That's not how it works.
You gotta follow the guidelines.
And then he pours out.
And for me and Tom, even when things get tight,
I mean, I won't move forward on this building. I'd pay my tithe before i move forward on this building yes that's how it is yeah yeah and and i'm just telling you
the favor so this guy and his wife i think watches this podcast does his wife watch this podcast do
you know who i'm talking about i don't know i feel like i've hold on on, I'll mute it. Okay, you're muted. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I think she probably knows.
Okay, yeah, okay.
She knows.
Okay.
Yeah, she does.
So he's over at the house, right?
And he is like skid steering the crap out of the inside of that stem wall.
Like that machine, he is like, he's a surgeon.
It's unbelievable like you got to get everything flat and he's up on
this thing that Travis built for me this ramp because it's scary and Travis is a beast on that
trailer but I mean on that tractor but um he gets up and over and he's like I'm scared yeah but he's
in there he's willing to do and me and Tom are standing up at the top he's like, I'm scared. Yeah. But he's in there. He's willing to do it.
And me and Tom are standing up at the top of the thing.
And I said to Tom, I'm like, that's if his wife was here.
I mean, he's a stud right now.
Like a stud muffin.
And I said, if his wife was right here, he'd be getting lucky tonight.
He was a beast in there.
I said, that's like you in the cop car for me chasing a bad guy.
Oh, my goodness.
Like, there's nothing hotter than a man who knows how to handle a.
Big equipment.
Her crock pot will turn into an air fryer.
She will be like, she should have been at my house.
Tom's like, it's okay if you say he's a stud.
I said, I just did say he's a stud.
The problem is, is he ain't my stud.
Right.
But if you were in there, dude, I said, you'd be lucky tonight.
So funny.
She should have been there.
He doesn't know I was saying all this stuff to Tom.
That is so funny.
Oh, my gosh.
So she might tell him.
But I'm just saying, oh, my gosh, he's a beast.
Yeah.
And that right there, God blessed us with that because just so happened, Tom was talking
to Bill.
He came up, which he and Tom, they love each other.
He came up and he was like, oh, I got one of those.
Oh, I can do that.
He runs that machine like it's his left arm.
It's a body part.
Tom's like, where in the world did you learn to drive this?
He's like eight.
I was eight years old.
Oh, my gosh.
When we, you know, we were out on the farm. You had to had to do that yeah but that's how god like sets you up guys absolutely
all the time all the time don't ever worry about anything yep absolutely never worry about anything
and listen my this project ain't done we still got a ways to go but yeah i'm not i said i taught
i think i told tracy or heather ribbon cutting when it's
all done can we do that can i plan it oh please no yes please no i will bring a meat tray
no comment i will bring no comment tinfoil we have many them. I make a killer charcuterie board.
I bet you do.
That's the meat tray that I was talking about.
Yeah, I hope.
I don't know if that's true.
Good diverting.
Oh, man.
I'm so excited.
If you keep first things first first it all just works out yeah
it does you're good exactly so uh talia did you send that to her yes i did you did the video view
on the thing so we were when we were um here's the crazy part this is i was telling tom this when that hurricane came
through milton came and bill's house bill lives bill has a house that across the street is the
intercoaster waterway and all those houses on the intercoaster waterway were demolished water
receded in and when they did like all of their furniture,
and he had like a pod, like a legitimate storage pod in his backyard up a tree.
You probably saw Talia, if any of you are on social media, saw Talia, Norma and Kristen,
because we all went over there. My son, there was a huge amount of us we all went over there um that's like funny because a whole
bunch of people went with tracy and her crew yeah and they were helping people left and right we had
a crew that went out and were helping people and then i know other people were out helping other
people like that dexter's like there was a whole bunch of us just killing y'all went everywhere
where we found out people needed help there was a bunch
of us and you probably saw them uh trying pretending like they were holding the pod
the storage pot up the tray you know like holding it up dorks um but what's this well show me the
show the pictures this is the video oh this is the video okay what's in the background it could
be me laughing you know that okay i'll turn it down i mean you can have the audio just don't want to
be too loud okay i'm gonna turn it down okay so we're working okay you ready and this is yeah go
ahead and this is where him teaching me how to use this tractor really paid off he never thought
it would it would happen to help him look Look at you. What a gangster. Backwards.
I can drive backwards.
That's impressive.
I said always coming.
Always.
For moments like this.
Yes, because in that backyard, what I was going back there to get was Dennis had come.
Okay.
And my son was back there.
And they're like Tom, Tom, the painter and his wife.
I don't want to name names because they might not want their names to be shared.
But I'll just say Tom and Trish were there.
And then there was Paul and Wesley.
There's a whole bunch of us, man.
Our church is like, I know they really are so good.
But things were so there was a dock back there.
There was a dock in his backyard there was
fences but in the backyard there was somebody's refrigerator and freezer in his backyard oh yeah
it was he had everything from everybody's homes when they got destroyed heather um when they got
destroyed everything came into his yard oh man along with everybody else's yards that are on the opposite.
It was a sight to behold.
Now, that's where him teaching me how to use the tractor.
Right.
Because this stuff was so flipping heavy, nobody could lift it.
Right.
Of course.
But that tractor could.
Easy.
It was easy breezy.
Easy peasy.
So I got to sit on the tractor while they stuck chains around stuff.
And I thought I was a beast.
You were. You went backwards. Beast mode right there. I went thought I was a beast. You were.
You went backwards.
Beast mode right there.
I went backwards.
That's impressive.
Was Tom there?
Did he see you do that?
I know.
Because that would have been it for him.
I know.
No.
He saw me on the tractor today.
He saw you on the tractor today?
No.
He saw me on the tractor today.
But he did thank me.
Yeah.
He was like, thank you.
You saved us lots of money.
This wouldn't have happened if you
didn't do all this yeah he's a good man i know but no it didn't do a daggum thing
doesn't work that way not at all gosh it's so funny all right now on to the serious stuff

have to be spiritual or about the Bible. They can just be any questions that you're dealing with
personally or with friends or with a husband or with kids or anything at all. and you just kind of want to get the conversation going, Hope will give her input
on what she thinks. And then obviously it'll always have some type of biblical backing,
which is the best way to make decisions and to move forward in something is to know what does
the Bible say about it. We have our merch available at foundationchurchfl.com. You just
click shop, or if you're here on sunday you can come over to our merch
store and buy any of those things and i think that's pretty much it for today um we do have

working on something else i think we could do a baseball cap and
then it's the logo but like what would
be like what could we do that would be different
and fun but also the
whole pot line. I don't
know. Okay.
Alright something to think about and
that is it for today.
So coming back to you Hope. Okay
I just sent you a thing. Okay. I just
emailed you or texted you something that I forgot I wanted to say.
You see that?
Oh, yes.
So this Saturday, and we're not talking about this very much because, you know,
there's good days and bad days.
There's wins and there's losses.
But every now and then when you get a win,
and if you're the mother of the winner it helps yeah so this
Saturday we're not like we purposely with Tommy because listen he was amateur he went amateur in
his first five fights like he killed it his first fights. Like he wasn't even in the cage for five minutes
for all five. Yep. So that's a good and bad thing. As a mother, that's a great thing because like you
don't want to see your baby in the ring. You're in the cage, right? It's hard. But when your kid
is in the cage and he's not in there for five minutes for all five times, you really don't know
what you don't know. You don't know that you're fighting at the wrong weight class you don't know that
you have no stamina you have no game when it comes to striking you don't know that you don't
have the greatest coaches and you don't know that you're cutting weight and you're like gaining the weight back incorrectly. But when you lose, you find that out quick.
And we did.
Fast.
Fast.
It's amazing.
Like the first two fights that Tommy, when he did amateur,
he did so great amateur.
And most people don't go out when they go amateur.
They don't fight just five.
They fight for a really long time. Some of them go eight plus fights amateur. But Tommy was like,
I'm starting this so late. I'm 25, doing my first pro. No, 20. Yeah, 25. He was was 25 he did his second pro I think 24 but just shy of 24 so he's like I I
gotta get out there but we didn't know what we didn't know you good you got it um we're a little
frozen um one of the screen recordings isn't I can't like do anything right now so I can't click
on anything oh gosh I know we're like Vimex is being weird right now.
Oh, that's okay.
You're still fine, but it's just the computer is frozen.
Oh, that's okay.
I just heard you talking, so I'm like.
We're back, we're back, we're back.
So the thing was is, so we had to figure out, okay, we're doing something wrong,
because now you went in, you killed it in this, but now you're fighting pro,
and you're not killing it. You're
not killing it at all. That's where pride has to like, you can't have pride when you're doing
things wrong. You have to go back to the drawing board and say, something's not right. And it hurts
to you. It's a humbling experience, but it's a necessary experience. And so we said we're not doing things correctly.
And what's great is his last fight, God, again, set you up
because there was a pro fight out of Michigan, I believe it was.
This gentleman came and he actually watched Tommy's fight his last fight and he does
he does pro fighting he is the guy that runs pro fighting a a I don't it's not a club but it's like
when you go and you watch fights a recruiter no he actually is the one that runs the whole and he brings the fighters in.
He sells the tickets.
He has the arena.
He is the guy that runs the whole end event.
You know, not a promoter.
He runs the whole event, but I don't know what that is.
And it's not an event director or whatever, but this guy knows pro fighting.
So he actually watched Tommy fight and he was like, okay, he's good.
He's a good fighter.
Here's what he's missing. Here's what he's missing.
Here's what he's lacking.
Here's what you need to fix.
And he's like, and the last thing he said to us, and he actually came to church and
talked to us before he left outside.
Like God will set you up.
You just got to trust him.
It was amazing that this guy even took the time to talk to us about it.
Right.
I know.
He didn't have to. He didn't have to.
He did not have to.
And so he said to the last thing he said to Tom and I before he left was don't let him
quit.
Do not let him quit.
He's good.
He's got what it takes to go all the way.
He just has to fix some things.
And so all of the things that he told us to do, we actually did.
And he is with a phenomenal gym,
a phenomenal coach who's a UFC fighter.
And he just fought his first real true fight at the weight class that he was supposed
to originally be doing it.
Cut weight properly.
And boom, here.
He's still got things to work on.
He's still got to work.
But he won his first fight.
He won his first pro fight on Saturday.
And he'll keep getting better and better.
I'm believing he'll keep getting better and better and better
because of the coaching that he's under.
But that was a sweet win after two tough losses.
And I was super proud of Tommy because never once did Tommy say,
I'm going to quit.
Not once.
Good for him.
Ever.
And he literally said to me after the second one, he goes,
I'm not quitting.
I'm not quitting.
I will figure this out.
I'm not quitting, though.
And I'm like, God bless you, child.
You know that's important to me because I am not. though And I'm like God bless you child I just You know that's
Important to me
Because I am not
I hate quitting
I'm like
You gotta
When you quit
It's because you know
You have gone
The distance
And you've done
Everything you possibly can
And you just
Don't have what it takes
To get the win
And that's
Anything in life
Even if it's
It's a job
And you try to Pursue a job and you try and pursue a job
that you just don't have
what it takes to make that job.
You don't have the skill set,
but you like really want to try it.
I say try it.
Maybe you'll learn something
and through that learning,
you'll become what you desire to be.
But you might find out,
okay, like my daughter,
she faints at blood.
Nursing's not in her future. Okay. Yeah.
Same. So, okay. You're not going to be a nurse. Yeah. But there's another way. If you like caring
for people, then you find the venue that does not have blood involved. Right. So you're not
fainting while you're taking care of them. Like, that's my thing. Yeah. Like just go for it and if you fail at least you fail trying to succeed instead of
quitting right and for us that was a sweet little win for tommy on saturday and this mama could
barely take it so i actually have evidence of that yes does speaking of speaking of oh my gosh i've
got a i've got a we're going to do a little rotating.
Are you kidding me?
I'm going to do a little,
oh wait,
I can do this.
Reset.
Okay,
so hope is like
a little bit stressed out.
A little is not even.
A little stressed out.
So we know what happens
when hope just needs to like
take it down a notch.
I was muck banging.
No.
Yeah,
I was.
I was watching
one of my girls eat.
Yes, you were. Oh my goodness.
I could not take it.
She doesn't stress eat.
I let somebody else do it for me.
She watches people stress eat.
That's what she does.
My sister-in-law is on the opposite end.
She's a hot mess too.
After Tommy wins,
because I don't cry, her and norma are crying like babies they're whole i like my sister-in-law comes crying to me i'm like let me get norma
because norma's over there with talia norma come over here okay both of you cry together
oh my gosh and they just like clutched each other and balled
in each other's arms i'm like that's a way better fit i'm not i'm not the one for you yeah i'm not
gonna like give you any like you hope you be you i literally was like hold on a second yeah
she needs you and norah was walking over and I was like yeah me too oh my gosh
that is so funny
I was a mess I even like
he's winning and I didn't know he's winning
and I was like I can't take it anymore
I got up and I'm like I can't watch anymore
I gotta go and then I'm like
walking out the door and I get close to the
doors to like leave and I'm like
gather yourself together woman
you're watching
this get back in there for your boy i literally was like get back in there for your boy yeah
yeah i turned around and i was like oh dear god i know i couldn't watch on online jare couldn't
either jare's like just tell me when he wins exactly i was waiting for everyone's text message
because i just i couldn't i had to but it was like this like i was watching like this oh yeah
so i could like close my see if i had seen i was so, but it was like this. Like I was watching like this. Oh yeah. So I could like close my eyes.
See, if I had seen, I was so far back.
I was like in the second to last row.
Right.
And if I had seen how he had him,
how he was on top of him,
but I couldn't see who was really on top of who
and who was in control.
So this guy's a wrestler.
So Tommy has some wrestling um and he knows he he
specifically fights wrestlers so he can learn their game right but wrestling's a whole different
technique too so yeah um so I just I was like I don't know who's in control right here if I had
seen what I what like from the top like what what I saw afterwards, I would have been like,
oh, you're okay.
And I never would have walked out.
Right.
Right.
But I didn't see that.
And then when I turned around,
I could see in the camera,
they had a camera with a big screen.
I literally saw him,
the guy give himself to Tommy.
He's a wrestler,
so he doesn't know what he's doing. He literally gave himself to Tommy. He's a wrestler, so he doesn't know what he's doing.
He literally gave himself to Tommy.
And Tommy's biggest, like his niche is the guillotine.
And he literally gave him the guillotine.
Tommy has guillotine people, they're standing.
They are standing and Tommy is on them like an orangutan.
And guillotining them while they're standing
right I don't know what a guillotine
is but doesn't sound good
it's not
you know how guillotine where they used to put you
in the guillotine
and it would choke you out well your body
your body is the guillotine
you are choking them out you've got
their neck down
yeah yeah your body is the guillotine you are choking them out you've got their neck down yeah and it's yeah
yeah i would tap out he would tap out he did okay are you showing a picture yeah yeah that's that's
pretty intense yeah so when i saw i saw the guy give himself to tommy and the guillotine you're
like it's over i was like it's done it's over. I was like, it's done. It's a done deal.
Because like Tommy's fighting in his weight class.
The last time Tommy threw the other guy in a guillotine,
that guy was way bigger.
And I don't know how he got,
well, I kind of do because they told us
like he did some things that he shouldn't have
after the fight.
But that, I mean, before the fight.
So that helped him be able to have a strength
that Tommy didn't have. But, um, regardless, like it's tough to get out of one of those things.
I know. So I was watching and I was like, is this good or is this bad? You have to watch
because Jarrah's sitting next to me. I'm like, is this good? Is it good that he's on top like
this? Cause they're not moving. And Jarrah's like, no, this is good. This is a specialty.
He's good.
Oh, my God.
Yeah, that's Tommy's specialty.
Yeah, he knows.
I was waiting for the text message.
I saw Tommy on Sunday.
He was like, did you watch?
I was like, absolutely not.
I was waiting for the text message.
Oh, yeah.
It's so hard.
And Sarah.
Sarah Goodwin.
Sarah.
Sorry, Sarah.
I didn't mean to say your last name.
Sarah is like texting me. Sarah. Sorry, Sarah. I didn't mean to say your last name. Sarah is like texting me.
I can't take it anymore.
Like sister, I get it.
I know.
So she texted with me the whole entire time.
But it's a rough deal, man.
I know.
It is.
I mean, friends, mother.
I know.
Friends.
When I see Tommy, I met Tommy and Norma when they were like babies.
I mean, not babies, but they were like teens, like early teens. And so when I see them. I met Tommy and Norma when they were like babies.
I mean, not babies, but they were like teens, like early teens.
And so when I see them. I think 10 and 12.
Yeah.
So when I see them, that's what I see.
They can be what?
25 and 26.
About to be 26 and 27.
In my head, they're still 10 and 12.
I mean, 26 and 24.
Yeah, 26 and.
You know what I mean?
Norma's 24.
Tommy's 20.
No, Norma's 23. Norma's going to be 24. They're barely two years apart. That's right. Yeah, 26. You know what I mean? Norma's 24. Tommy's 20. No, Norma's 23.
Norma's going to be 24.
They're barely two years apart.
That's right.
So yeah, 24 and 26.
She will be, yeah.
Yes.
It's crazy.
I can only imagine being their mama.
I know.
Children, they're like your heart living outside of your body.
I told, it is.
Tommy's fighting is like when I do the Beloved Conference or I do the Christmas thing.
I'm like, this is how I feel just before the Christmas thing.
Like I'm like.
Adrenaline.
I feel sick.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because there's a lot of pressure for that and you want to make it.
I mean, people come.
People that come to these things, they want to see excellence.
They want to see that you've like,
you're not wasting their time to come out on Christmas Eve or whatever it is.
Like they want to see something really nice and something done in excellence
unto the Lord.
And so that's a lot of pressure for the person that has orchestrated it to
everyone that's had to participate to make that happen.
And I like, I, Norma is one of the people,
and then I have close friends,
which was one of them was Vanessa.
This year she's not,
but I want to vomit for you guys.
Did you see me take a really deep breath after I did my song last year?
Yes.
You were like,
so relieved.
But I felt sick for you.
I felt sick for me.
I felt sick for you
because I put a lot of pressure on you guys
because I had a lot of pressure on me for the big guy.
That's funny.
Is that the Lord or is that Pastor Tom?
The Lord
would take it a lot easier on me than my husband.
So yeah, the pressure
is from Tom. God has grace.
Tom has none.
Zero.
Oh my gosh.
Why did you put that in there?
Like in my past?
Like that was bad.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thank you very much.
Won't be doing that one.
Yeah.
Lesson learned.
When you don't see an act come back.
Yeah.
There's a reason for it.
Yep.
All right.
Okay.
Okay.
So kudos to my son. Yeah job tommy so proud of you
thank you for not getting hurt hard man he works his butt off he takes work yes he takes a beating
every he work goes to tampa six days a week six days a week and um what's what's awesome is he has
pro fighters come to his because now he's teach now he's so good that they're letting him teach classes.
And he has pro fighters come to his class.
That's so cool.
That's a big deal.
That's a big deal.
And he's on pro fighters camps.
Like before they go to fight, they have these camps.
And you have to be like the upper tier to be on this camp.
Because you have to be the caliber of individual they're fighting.
And this is how God was so sweet to him because when he lost,
two weeks later he had a fractured face,
but two weeks later he had to start finding a new gym.
And when he went to this place and stuff, he knew nobody.
And he was in with, like, to get to be in the group that he's fighting with,
like those are secret like secret
it's like a fight club that would be a pretty accurate right there nobody talks about fight
they're not allowed to these are like secret trainings nobody knows what time they are where
they are nothing and so like he knew like in order to get in there, he had to prove himself. What was so great is God was so sweet to him because like the UFC, the guy that owns the place, he's a UFC fighter.
He's actually fighting next month in Tampa for UFC.
He's so good.
And he said he saw Tommy in like within two weeks.
He was personally reaching out to Tommy,
personally asking him to train with him.
And I was like,
God,
you're so sweet because that reassured Tommy.
Okay.
I don't suck.
Right.
Right.
Cause it's hard to lose.
A hundred percent.
It's hard to lose.
And the pressure is all,
it's just you.
Like,
it's not like a team sport where it's like,
all right,
we all went down together.
Like it's all on you.
It is.
And when you're, that's how sweet God is though. To kind of reinsure you, all right, we all went down together. Like, it's all on you. It is.
And that's how sweet God is, though,
to kind of reinsure you, to make you feel like.
And he does that for all of us.
Absolutely.
To every single one of us, whatever position it is. But that was a really good deal.
I love that.
Got to give a little shout out.
Everybody always sees Norma.
Yeah.
They always see my my girl like
doing her thing doing her thing but very rarely to people because tommy is always in the back he's in
the shadows he's in the shadows yep only the shadow knows remember that movie you know you
don't know that show no i don't only the shadow knows do you guys have you ever heard of that
before no no it just sounded good i just said it did sound good it's a show okay
it was a show not even in my era but i'm old enough to know that it was a show okay black
and white sean if he's on he knows oh sean i think me and sean are like basically the same age okay
or pretty close so okay let's go okay now that i've done a whole bunch of personal
listen and poured the crap out of
people.
Yeah.
They're all there.
They're all there.
All right.
Here's the first question.
I once heard a hero of faith and they put in question in quotes,
hero of faith.
Say that if you're called to be in ministry,
you know,
if you're,
I'd never said that.
Only Tracy caught that
mom joke
did you get that now Vanessa
I'm the hero
well she's like yeah I know you are
you did say that
she took her few minutes to get it
we were talking about Vanessa here
hey hey hey hey
you're quick on
some things and not so quick on others.
Same.
She should be blonde.
I'm above average.
I'm above average.
Okay.
Maybe.
Depending on the day.
Being a dingbat?
You're above average on being a dingbat?
Is that what you're trying to tell me?
No.
On being a blonde?
The opposite.
What's a dingbat?
I don't know.
What is that?
Can we get a definition?
A dingbat is I don't know. What is that? Can we get a definition? A dingbat is a dummy.
Does that mean both of us are a dingbat? A dingbat is not a dummy. Oh, okay. It'll be a dingbat.
I know. I know. I've heard the phrase, but I'm just wondering like, what does that mean? Flighty, flaky, like not catching things. Oh, okay. A dingbat. Okay. I can be very dingy. Me too.
Oh my gosh.
I can be so dingy.
So can Tom.
So can Tom.
I'm like right over you.
Oh, I mean, the last interaction I had with Tom was a little dingy.
Oh, yeah.
I think everybody is dingy.
It's just to the caliber of which they are.
It was the perfect storm.
It was like the perfect interaction.
I was right after Sunday.
I had just led worship and counted the offering.
And we had like something going on.
And you were tired.
Yeah, I think we-
You were telling me you were very tired.
We did the, it was wedding.
Mariana's wedding that weekend.
Oh my gosh.
It was the perfect storm.
And he's trying to have a conversation with me.
No, he's not having a conversation with her.
No, no, no.
He was asking her one question. One he's trying to have a conversation with me. No, he's not having a conversation with her. No, no, no. He was asking her one question.
One question.
That's not a conversation.
It was.
It was one question.
It was, are those new tires?
Or something like that.
I thought he said, those are nice tires.
And I'm like, yeah, they are.
Yeah, they are.
And he's like, no, no, no.
Look at me in the eyeballs.
After the third or fourth time asking her the same question.
Yeah.
It's like, oh, I don't know.
I have no idea where my tires were from.
These are things that she doesn't do.
These are the things her husband does.
Right.
She would not know if she wasn't doing a wedding and the end of service.
Even if it wasn't the perfect storm, I still would have not known the answer.
100% no.
But you would have answered right away.
Yeah, I would agree.
Dingy.
Yeah, I can be dingy.
Everybody can be.
So you're right.
You're absolutely right.
There ain't one person alive that can't be dingy.
It's not.
I don't care who they are.
Everybody has dingy moments.
You're just like, okay, ding that.
And then you just smile and nod.
I embrace it. I just say okay. I just embrace it. I'm like, whatever. I can't be perfect just smile and nod. I embrace it.
Just say okay.
I just embrace it.
I'm like, whatever.
I can't be perfect all of the time.
I know, exactly.
Come on, people.
It's so, so tiring being so perfect all the time.
It'll wear you down.
It does.
I have to make it appear as though I'm as human as possible.
Right.
I know.
I hear you.
Me too.
True.
Otherwise, I mean, people will feel like you're down here and I'm up here.
We don't need that happening.
That's why I don't sing.
Like, I don't want anybody to feel a certain way.
Or dance.
Or dance.
Yes.
Although.
Although.
Although.
Gosh.
Anyways, back to the question.
We will see about that.
Exactly.
I once heard a hero of faith say that if you are called to be in ministry, you know.
If you're not called to ministry, then don't attempt to force your way in.
I don't know if I've ever felt the call into full-time ministry, but I am very actively involved in ministry.
What is your thought?
Should I avoid full-time ministry or just continue to serve?
Well, I think, okay, so I'm full-time.
Tracy's part-time.
Vanessa isn't part-time, but she's involved in ministry.
Talia's part-time.
But I wasn't full-time until,
I did not do ministry full-time until two years ago.
I did not work for the church.
I mean, I would say I lived like I was full-time.
I did two jobs.
I would have a job where I was bringing in an income,
and then I was working for the church for free.
I didn't start earning anything from the church until just like two years ago.
And God honors that, just so you know.
Like people feel like they should be paid,
but I would say you'll get paid in bigger dividends
if you just serve him and do it unto the Lord.
Like the blessings that I've received
because I didn't get paid were like off the charts.
It's crazy.
But I will tell you this,
like Tom and I didn't even know.
We were told that by my mom before we got married or just before we got married that in our seventh year we would enter into ministry.
Okay, we didn't before that.
And even that we didn't do full time.
Let's see.
Before that, Tom was in the choir.
I was in the choir.
I did the nursery.
I didn't have kids.
I did like so many of you that don't have children or have your kids are all grown up.
I served in the nursery.
And I helped out in anywhere.
I was a youth leader.
I didn't have a kid, but I was a youth leader.
I gave of my time.
I did a girls group separate from the
youth group. I did, Tom did head usher, youth leader, choir like me, was on the church board.
Then he started, then he became, he got on the worship team. Then he was worship leader.
Then he became youth pastor.
None of this was paid positions.
And all of this we gave of our own money.
And we invested in the, we paid our tithe.
And then we invested in the ministries that God had opened the doors for us to be in.
You have to be willing to do that.
You have to be willing to invest your own money.
It's like Tracy and I always defer to people that I know,
but like Tracy and Vanessa with their group,
a lot of times it's all of you guys' own finances
that support that group.
It's not the church supporting that group really a lot.
Like you guys paid for a lot of the food that is eaten there
and things like that.
Why?
Because they believe in what they're doing.
Yeah.
They want to invest in the ministry that God's given them.
I look at Sarah.
Sarah directs a lot.
Sarah directs a lot for our church.
Directing is not the easiest because you're in a room by yourself but with with nas but you
guys are they're not in the she's not in the sanctuary she misses out on being in there but
she doesn't get paid for that right and god's going to bless her socks off because she's willing
to do something and she has a skill set um that most don have. Like there's a lot of people who do a lot of things in this church
on a regular basis that don't get paid,
but God sees it and God will make sure they're getting paid.
And they know this.
If you're doing ministry, like if you're doing ministry
and you're doing it and you're like doing like a Tracy and a Vanessa, maybe you're doing, I don't know who this is, so I don't really want to speak doing it, and you're doing a Tracy and a Vanessa.
Maybe you're doing, I don't know who this is,
so I don't really want to speak about it,
but it wasn't until 2017 that Tom went into full-time ministry
where he got paid from the church,
and before that, he did the cop thing for 25 years.
So he worked a full-time job just like Paul did,
Paul the apostle. he was a tent
maker, but then he also did the Lord's work. You can be like them. Like Vanessa has been in full-time
ministry. Like she has done that with Jeff. They've been pastors before. That doesn't mean
that because they're not doing it now that they won't go back to it, because she is kind of pastoring right now.
Her and Tracy, they do pastor their group.
Jer is what would be called like the youth pastor.
She helps him with that.
So just because you're maybe leading a Bible study or in your home or whatever,
or you're doing some kind of ministry,
and you're only doing it, but it's not full-time.
It's not even part, excuse me, it's not part-time.
That doesn't mean that this is where God's going to keep you.
Tom didn't go into full-time ministry until a very, very long time,
but he was still ministering and pastoring.
So don't think because this is
where you're at right now, that this is where you'll stay. Because I think it's like an elephant.
God only, you can't eat a whole elephant in one sitting, but you take one bite at a time.
And eventually you're there, right? It's like putting a puzzle together. That puzzle,
depending on how big it is, you don't get to see the full picture.
It's one piece at a time. God doesn't reveal everything to us a lot of times because we
couldn't handle it. Sometimes it's because financially, like if we would have had this
building when Tom and I first started, it would have been way too much for us because our faith
incrementally grew to where we're like oh the mortgage for this
thing god's got it not gonna worry about it this is this is nothing um the repairs like hurricane
ian and stuff like that when it came in and demolished the thing if we would have gotten
this building when we first started we would have crumbled and we would have been like we quit um
because we wanted to quit well not me Tom wanted to quit over far lesser things.
Okay.
So God knows what you can handle.
And he's not, you may not be ready for it, but you will be.
So just because it's not now, if you're doing ministry,
just because it's not full time now doesn't mean it won't be full time later.
Ladies speak to this because if anybody
knows, it's you guys too. Yeah. I think that's such a great piece of advice because I know a
lot of people will get a word spoken over them. Like, you know, they're, they're called to be a
prophet to, you know, preach to the highest level. And like, so all they can think about is like,
how do I get to the highest level? You know? And so you're not ready. Right. And so it almost like you were saying, it's almost overwhelming, like the process to get
there, because maybe that's true.
Maybe you will.
But like, if you just start with where you're at and what's been entrusted in you, like
that's when God opens up every single door.
And so we, you know, when we came in in 2020, like Jarrett loves taking photos and he just wanted to take photos.
And so he had to go and talk to Heather about it.
And we didn't say like,
hey, we'll take photos if you pay us.
We were just like, hey, we love taking photos.
Can we do photos for you guys?
And then it just went from there.
And it wasn't, but there was no ulterior motive for us.
It wasn't like, we're like,
maybe we'll get our name out there
and we'll be like the next photographers
and Trump will find us one day.
You guys were very. But remember,
like, remember how you just doing photography for us at that one event that we went to and you ended up like doing big time stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Like, I know. Exactly. Well, and then the funny thing is
when we came in, like, I didn't even tell anybody that I did photography either. Like nobody knew I
did video. Nobody knew I did photos. And Jared just kind of had his moment to shine for a little bit.
And then all of a sudden they were like, Oh, something about videos. I don't know who said
it. And I was like, Oh, I can do that. And they're like, what? Like nobody knew. And it wasn't like,
I was like trying to be like mysterious and sneaky or anything. Like I just, there was,
there was no open opportunity to even say it without it being like, I don't know, like,
look at me kind of thing. And so, um, I of people just, there's such a rush to get to where they think
that they want to be. And it's so impatient. And so exactly what you said is I think exactly what
it is. I think we're all called to the ministry on some level because we're all called to preach
the gospel. And then you're a unique, you be you, you're your own person and there'll be a special way to do it.
And I love that God has like granted Vanessa and I
this opportunity to lead these women
and I don't have to do it alone.
Like I'm so thankful for that
because I don't know.
I just, it's not something that I would want to do.
It's not.
And there's time and place to do things
like if you persevere.
Jesus sent the disciples two by two.
Absolutely.
A hundred percent.
And it makes sense to me because, and we, although we have a similar personality where
we're like, we're laid back, we do things very differently and it's such an easy way
to play off each other.
And I don't know, it just makes ministry so fun.
So finding the people too, to do ministry with, this is a form of ministry.
And I love doing this, like answering questions and like asking questions is like always been my favorite
thing in the entire world. Something Jesus always did. And, um, and so I like, I just,
God just puts you in the right places and you just honor and, and it's, and you do your,
do the work. Cause when you get put in a place, especially in ministry, there's hard work attached
to it and people, they romanticize
it and there's days where it's work and you do it, but it's most days it's work. Yeah, exactly.
Yeah. But it's work when you, when you like 2% is glamorized. Yes. Yes. But when you've worked
a corporate job and, and you like sit there and you're like, what am I even doing? Like I'm check,
like when I worked, I worked at a fashion, um, and a headquarters and I was monitoring social media and I sat there for
eight hours a day and I'm like, what am I doing? Like, what is the point of this? Making sure
somebody doesn't get mad at their shirt, like unraveled. Like you, it's almost like, it's like
a revelation that you have that, like, if I'm going to put this much work in, there has to be some kind of eternal benefit.
There's got to be some kingdom business that it involves to a certain extent.
There's got to be some kingdom return.
There has to be.
And then it makes it worth it.
So when there are hard days or there's hard moments or people are people
and they say things, you're like, okay, but at least I've planted seeds.
At least I've done the work.
And God knows my heart and all of these things.
And it was for him anyway.
So however it pans out is how it pans out.
So I don't know.
I just, I love what you said about
just kind of take it one bite at a time.
Oh yeah.
Totally.
I think is people become impatient.
They know that God has something for them
and they bulldoze.
I've seen it a lot.
People go into groups and then they bulldoze. I've seen it a lot. People go into groups and then they bulldoze.
And it's not good.
I mean, their hearts are good.
Their hearts are pure.
But the problem is, it's not that they create enemies.
They create a, like, it's too soon for them.
And so it's not going to be received like it should be received
because it's out of order. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. A hundred percent.
I was just thinking like, I've, I've been in some form of ministry since I was a teenager
and never once did someone speak over me and give me a word that, you know, I'm going to, you know,
be in ministry and I'm going to, you know, do the things that I'm doing now. Um, but that didn't
stop me. I just, from the very beginning I've, I've prayed and God's answer has remained the
same for me. He has always just told me be available. And I just kept showing up. If you do that,
I just kept showing up. Okay. And a lot of times as believers, we're looking to do,
we're looking for a title we're looking to do. And God just wants us to abide.
Just abide. And he will open the doors and he will, the steps of the righteous are ordered, period.
And so if we allow him to take the lead, he is going to open the doors and he is going to use you as a vessel, period.
It's so true.
And I sit there and I think of, you say you just showed up.
It's like Lena and Yulia.
Yeah.
Right.
And I said that right.
Yeah.
I think about both of them when you're saying that.
I think about both of them,
um,
for the beloved conference.
Um,
no positions except for position as far as helping.
Right.
If people took on the heart of both of those girls
for that beloved conference you know what i'm talking about right yes okay so these two girls
uh teamed up they're they're friends anyway and they're they're just beautiful people i mean i
they're strong women i love that but they're beautiful people inside and out.
And the thing is, is neither one of them had a stake
in the game. Not one of them. But they
acted as if when
they were
setting those tables,
those chairs, I can't tell you
how many times they fixed the chairs
at the dining table that people were
sitting at. If people took the
care that those
two girls did that had no stake in the game and neither one of them were wanting a voice or
wanting to be able to speak or wanting attention onto themselves or saying, I have something to
say or God is good. I have the gifting of this or whatever. Neither, neither one of them. They just
wanted, they had the opportunity to serve.
They did it in excellence.
And if somebody went behind them and screwed up something, they went back and fixed it and just kept going.
Did it irritate them?
It did.
Okay.
It did.
But only because they cared.
And they didn't care about their name being promoted.
They only cared about how it was unto the Lord.
And for me, I just sit there and go,
I'll take those two girls all day long
because God will promote them in due time.
Instead of people who God's called you
and you keep trying to push you and promote you.
Okay, God will do that.
You don't have to.
I never did that.
I never was like trying to force my way in to do things
or be something.
I asked.
I feel like the Lord's told me.
And then I was said yes or no.
And when it was no, I was like, okay, it's just not the season.
Whatever.
But you have to wait.
You just have to be patient.
And people, patience is, they feel like time's a wasting.
Time's only a wasting if you let it be wasted.
Just because you're not holding a title or a position doesn't mean time is being wasted
because there's plenty of things to do.
Absolutely.
I agree.
Just show up.
People don't have to know you. And they don't have to know what you're doing. Absolutely. I agree. Just show up. People don't have to know you
and they don't have to know what you're doing.
Yeah, I know.
Right.
I know.
And when you work in like the lowlier spots,
doing like the harder work
and doing things that like really nobody else will do,
like it's, first of all, it's a good character building
and it humbles yourself.
Like you're called to humble yourself.
And so when you do those things, all of a sudden when you are taking, replacing yourself,
you can say to that person, yeah, I did that.
Like I had to do that.
And so you never like appear to be above anything, even though it doesn't necessarily matter.
It does for a lot of people.
And they'll respect you and then they'll want to replace themselves.
And then we just keep our ministry growing because you're constantly trying to replace yourself.
But, you know, too, God is looking at how do you respond?
And that too.
When you're in, when you're just, when you're just doing what Galena and Yulia did, how did, like, what was their attitude the whole entire time?
Right.
And they laughed and joked around and had the greatest time as well as like
Kelly and people like that. I'm just saying. Yeah. But I think of those two girls because
the attitude was beautiful. And the only thing they cared about was making sure that when people
walked into the room, excellence was seen. Yep. And so I think God really looks at that because
it's unto the Lord. I do too. Right. And I think he looks at that because it's unto the Lord.
I do too.
And I think he looks at that and says,
man, I wish I had a whole bunch of them
because most people are not satisfied doing that.
Most people want to be on the stage talking.
Yeah, exactly.
You have to do that before you can do that.
I did plenty of that.
And my heart had to be fixed a lot
because I didn't have always the greatest attitude
like those two girls did.
Sometimes I was a little snotty.
You know what?
And the Lord's like, who are you doing this for?
Me or you? I can't tell you how many times the Lord
said to me, who are you doing this for?
Me or you? Because he can see motive, right?
We can't see motive.
Well, I would get very irritated and angry.
They got irritated because people moved
their chairs. I got irritated because I'm like, I'm going to kill somebody.
Right.
Because I wasn't doing it for myself in all actuality.
I would just would be irritated that I was like, why isn't this person doing this?
Why isn't it?
Why am they tell me they're going to do this, but they don't.
So now I'm having to do it.
And the Lord literally would have to say to me who you done this for yeah good check and
and as shamefully I have to say a lot of times I would have to be fixed corrected
and say I I'm going to have to do a major course correction on my heart yeah
and it makes you love people more when you have those two girls' attitudes versus my attitude.
Absolutely.
You love people a lot more, which I'm way different now.
I'm way different now, but it took a long time to get there.
And if you're more like me, the longer it'll take to getting to where you really want to go.
That's the truth.
Yeah.
Because if you can't fix that, you're not fit for more.
Yeah, you'll be miserable. And for more. You'll be miserable.
And everybody else around you will be miserable.
Because nobody wants to be around that.
They just don't.
And there were times, listen, when I first started ministry,
I would probably, it would probably be true that there were people like,
she's going to do that by herself because I just don't want to deal with her.
Which that's not good.
That's not good if people feel like that about you.
And I can tell you, I made people be like that, not want to work with me.
And it's not like that.
There should be no pride whatsoever.
It's not because I did things so great and so much better than everybody else.
It's because I was like, I'm the only one that can do it the way
that I want it done so I'm going to do it myself how dare me mm-hmm that's not
right there are plenty of people who will do things in excellence and as good
as you it's just your control freak mm-hmm and if they can't then go behind
them and fix it and teach them how to do it
correctly. And there's nothing wrong with that. But just have a, yeah, be, there's a way to correct
people where you're not like tearing them down. And so you, like you said, like you just go behind
them and be a good teacher. Yeah, exactly. But immaturity and snottiness and rudeness
does not work. Let me put it up. It does not work let me put it up it does not work and i
learned that yeah first five years of ministry i learned that that's a tough pill to swallow thank
god there weren't that many people that got to experience it because we were very small for quite
some time probably because me bob it's true i mean i mean everybody learns and everybody's got to
grow some people are weak and they're passive.
They need to have a backbone and be stronger.
Me,
that wasn't my problem.
Right,
right,
right.
I had a lot of other things I had to correct.
So everybody's got somewhere they need to go,
but be going there instead of just making excuses and saying,
well,
this is just how I am.
Right.
Preach.
No,
it's not.
Yeah. Slow your roleach. No, it's not.
Slow your roll, player.
You can fix some things and don't be so quick on getting to
a place that you have no business being
until you're ready.
Let's do sponsors. Let's do it.

And he will, like, he'll do you right.
He's great.
And so are the the other
mechanic that works for him it's like you know it's crazy it's not like it's a
mom-and-pop so you're not like going to a huge garage where a lot of there's a
lot of overhead so there's a lot of chance for yeah who knows what right
it's him and another mechanic and he knows everything that's going on all the time.
Mm-hmm.
So he'll make sure that you are taken care of and it is done right.
I think I'm going to do just a really quick question to finish off on that.
Okay.
And then we are going to close out.
We're seven minutes over.
But I didn't read this question really, so I don't even know my answer right now.
Okay.
This is going to be fun.
And then you guys can answer too.
Okay.
All right.
Sounds good.
It says, what's something you've always wanted to try but haven't yet?
Oh, man.
Ooh.
Ooh, I have one.
You do?
Because I don't.
So what is yours?
Like, mine isn't food, but it's like bungee jumping off a bridge.
Yeah.
You know, I was thinking skydiving, but I don't want to do that.
One of those.
I want to do it so bad.
What is something you haven't wanted, you've always wanted to try, but haven't yet?
I don't know if I have one.
Okay. I'm not sure I really have one. Okay, I'm not
sure I really want to try this, but
I think I might.
Because I'm
a little cringed by it.
But I feel like I want to
do it, too.
But I know this sounds funny because I keep saying
let's do it, but a cruise.
Oh, a cruise, yeah.
Okay, but I've never done one and it's kind of cringy to me. I don't know why. Okay, we need to do it but a cruise a cruise okay but I've never done when it's kind
of cringy to me I don't know why okay we need to do like yeah or we need to do an
elite one like I'm very very high and like I don't know I've seen one it's
like mg something and it is like the most bougie. It's a butler.
Oh my God. You have your own side
of the cruise ship
that you can go on.
You're talking my language.
I know.
And they like,
you wear your robe
and like it's so bougie.
If I was going to do a cruise,
that's your way.
That's what I would do.
I know.
Or we can go carnival.
Stop.
Stop it.
Have you seen the carnival TikToks
or reels?
I mean,
the thing is, it can be kind of nasty with the throw up in the hallways.
So that's what I mean.
That's carnival.
That's carnival.
Yeah.
I mean, I'm just like, that's why I'm kind of like.
I know.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But it's an experience.
Listen, I leave hotel rooms.
I know you do.
I mean, I leave hotels.
I like a good resort.
Without hesitation.
Yeah.
But you can't do that on a cruise.
I'm screwed if I get on a cruise and the place is nasty.
What am I going to do?
You bring cleaning supplies.
She does.
And she cleans like a mad woman.
I mean, it is like.
I already do that.
No, I roll the dice.
Me too.
Not me, man.
Always.
I can't do it.
Well, you taught her well.
I'm not a germaphobe either.
No, you're not.
I know.
But I'm just saying, I'm not touching nothing
like the remote when something
could have been happening previously.
No, no, no, no, no. Before I got there.
No, no, no. Not happening.
No, no. People scratching their
keisters and then they're touching the remote.
Not happening, guys.
People picking their nose, picking up the remote.
Not happening, guys.
That's why I clean everything from light switches to phone.
She does.
I'm not afraid of sickness and disease.
I don't want snot and fluids on these precious little babies right here.
Listen, last time we were at the hotel, Talia looked for bed bugs.
So you're wearing off on her.
She like lifted the mattress.
That was the first thing.
Oh, okay.
No, no.
The first thing she had me do was take my flashlight.
Her mother is like.
Oh, yeah.
She's another level.
Psycho level.
I'm like fluids level.
Yeah.
What's on the other side of that?
Because that's what I am.
Me too.
I'm like snuggling up with a comforter.
Me too. You're like give a crap. I'm like snuggling up with a comforter. Me too.
Me too.
You're like this in the pillow.
Yes.
I'm like, oh, so soft.
My immune system is so strong because of it.
I have a strong immune system.
I don't know.
I don't even like the comforter and stuff like that.
You guys are rolling around.
Oh, yeah.
I'm like snuggled up in it.
Not me.
Nobody sleeps with their comforter. Not me. Get me a sheet. I'm putting theuggled up in it. Not me. Nobody sleeps with their comforter.
Not me.
Get me a sheet.
I'm putting the sheet on top of the comforter.
That is so funny.
Do you not understand what goes on on those comforters?
They don't wash them.
I just don't think about it.
Yeah, me either.
You should.
You should be.
I should take a black light in there.
I don't know.
No, thank you.
I like ignorance.
I know.
It's like those movies or those shows that everybody would watch.
Like when McDonald's,
like they do like all these like series on them and they show how like the
chicken nuggets are made.
I still like,
I was like,
Ooh,
I kind of want some chicken nuggets.
Like nothing changes my mind.
It's not just not,
I don't know.
I'm like,
I see it literally,
my goo come out and I'm like,
and then it forms and then it looks delicious. And then you're like, and I'm like, no, literally my goo come out and I'm like and then it forms and then it looks delicious
and I'm like
I was like tell you want some McDonald's
I'm like I don't even want to see how the hot dog's made
I know
just give me the hot dog
that's me and the comforter
that's the reason
that's the only reason why
it's mandated
every item of food that is brought back in for fellowship area reason why it's mandated. Like every item of food that is,
that is brought back in for fellowship area.
Oh yeah.
It's,
it's serious.
I'm,
I,
even that I have control over.
Yeah.
And Terry is wonderful because she's really good about she,
well,
she doesn't do it anymore.
Norma is now the one that orders.
Yeah.
Which she is,
she knows you're not like, you're not buying the Turkey, like all the, Yeah. Which she is. She knows.
You're not like,
you're not buying the turkey,
like all the meat,
the ones that have compressed meat that nobody knows what it,
we're doing kosher.
Right.
We're doing like a Hebrew national or we're doing a Nathan's,
something that is all beef.
And we,
we know what's in that thing.
Right.
Even the hot dogs. I'm like, I'm really picky. That's what's in that thing. Even the hot dogs.
I'm really picky.
That's the way to do it.
It is fair.
If people are going to be eating our food,
they're going to know it ain't cheap and it ain't nasty.
It's done with excellence.
Even that's done with excellence. Because everything is.
So the cruise.
Let's do that.
That's the one thing that i want to try but i
haven't but i'm a little scared maybe we'll do like a royal caribbean i feel like that's that's
what sharon said one royal caribbean isn't bad she probably wouldn't know she's very nice i feel
like we should do caribbean it's it's decent i did norwegian and it was pretty wild oh i've not
done that one yeah i'm not I'm not doing nothing wild.
Royal Caribbean, we played Family Feud.
You know, there was a lot of family-friendly stuff.
I don't care about when I'm family.
I don't care about the games.
I care about the cleanliness.
I don't care about the germs.
I'll put my hands on the railings.
I didn't get the stomach flu, so.
Okay.
It's the drinking.
It's like people drinking in excess. So I didn't see that on the railings. I didn't get the stomach flu. Okay. It's the drinking. It's like people drinking in excess.
I didn't see that on the Royal Caribbean.
People throwing up in the hallways.
There were people drinking, but there wasn't sloppiness.
Did you go to bed at 8.30?
I probably did.
I don't want any of that.
I don't want nastiness in the hallways.
Listen, I go to nice hotels
for a reason.
They don't have toiness in the hallways. Because listen, I go to nice hotels for a reason. Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
They don't have to be the most expensive.
But I go to certain ones that have a certain standard.
Right.
That they live by.
So you're not doing the Days Inn.
No.
Holidays Inn.
No, Days Inn is like even lower than Holiday in okay okay i found it it's called the
msc cruise and it's a yacht club and it is like i just watched it on youtube this girl went on
and she had like the most luxurious time ever they have their own hot tubs they have their own pools
like it like the butler comes comes they unpack your suitcase for you
I don't even need that
I know but I'm just saying
that's how bougie it is
you know it's clean
so what's one step below that?
I think we should do that though
you gotta go high
then you're gonna ruin yourself
this is it
this will be one and done
one and done
I'm not ruining myself
Vanessa you can
it's like traveling first class.
Once you travel first class, you can never go coach again.
I know.
Jer hates it now.
I've never done it.
Yeah.
He's done it once.
It's hard, man.
It is.
I know.
I'm telling you.
Yeah.
So.
I mean, I'll do it.
I'll go.
I mean, I'll go coach.
I mean, I will.
But you're not happy about it.
Yeah.
No, I'm not. No, mean, I will. But you're not happy about it. Yeah. No, I'm not.
No, no, I'm not.
Okay.
I'm lying if I tell you otherwise.
Are we doing like three days?
Is that what we're planning for?
She's in our limited time offer.
We don't have to do drinks included either.
So we're going to get a super cheap one.
Cool.
What is it talking about as far as dollars go?
Well, this one says cruise only $390.
But I feel like this is like $390 for a three-day.
But I don't think this is like...
Sign me up.
Okay, but I don't know if this is like the all-inclusive
like yacht club.
Okay.
Butler level?
I can't believe that.
I can't believe we're going to get that.
We don't need a special ocean view, do we?
We need the best.
Yes, I do.
I require it, actually.
Yes, yes, I do.
Then you're paying for it.
I know I'm paying for it.
That's why,
what's something you've always wanted to try
but haven't yet?
Probably going to be in the bottom of the list.
That would be that right there, Tal.
Exactly.
All right, I'm going to do some research,
but that's what MC,
oh, Yacht Club.
MSC.
Yeah, MSC.
So what was the question again?
What's something you've always wanted to try but haven't yet?
So what's yours, Vanessa?
I don't know.
I feel like I've tried a lot of things.
I will never skydive.
Really?
I want to so bad.
I wouldn't want to do that.
I don't want to, but if somebody was like, I'll give you a million dollars, I'd do it.
No.
I'd probably do it for.
Oh, I'd do it for a million. I'd probably do it for like
10,000. I mean, I'm not doing
it by myself. I'm going to
being attached. I'm attached.
You have to be. That's the rules.
That's the rules.
If I'm
required to pull
at the right time, I'm
not getting the million dollars.
Exactly.
Because I'm not pulling at the right time absolutely not i'm not getting the million dollars exactly okay because i'm not pulling you'll be in heaven streets of gold baby streets of gold sounds like a win-win
because i gotta be attached i mean i might jump but i might not be getting the million dollars
okay i'll be i mean i don't know that's where dingbatness comes right on in
I think there's like rules when you have to pull it
there is rules when you have to pull it
because here's the thing
you can't pull too early
I don't think you can pull too early
but my thing is I'll pull right when the plane's
like right above me
hooked up inside the blade
I'm out of here
I'm hitting
my thingy's
hitting the top or the bottom of the plane.
Or it gets sucked into the propeller.
And she'd survive because
then it would land. Or I got pulled
back into the plane.
She'd crawl her way.
You just left.
100%.
If it can happen.
It might happen.
I could literally see that.
I'd be too scared to wait too long.
So I'd be like, I'm far.
I'm only gone like three feet.
Oh my gosh.
But to me, it's like a hundred.
I would be the one to pass out.
And then I won't be able to.
She'd wake up on the ground.
I'd wake up in heaven, in glory.
Okay, that's where I'll wake up.
We'll be right next to it.
I'll be on the blade. you'll be on the ground.
Dual funeral.
Dual funeral.
Oh my gosh.
Speaking of, I can't.
I don't know if I can pull this off.
I'm thinking about it.
A funeral.
The one that you sent me yesterday.
I wanted to send you this one.
I just screen recorded, but I dropped it.
There was a meme
and it was,
it was a coffin
going down the road.
Yes,
I probably should.
And it says,
on my way
to bury myself
at my funeral
because I can only,
I'm the best one
that does it by myself.
And I was like,
that's why.
It is a coffin.
And it's just a coffin
like on a,
like on a little platform
and it's just rolling itself
down the road.
I literally wanted to send it to you the other day.
I was like, why didn't you send that to Heather?
That fits Heather better than it fits me.
But you were just talking about how you're like, you could do everything like first years in ministry and you.
Well, pretty much I was the only one.
We didn't have that many people to help.
So it's pretty much me anyway.
But then when you do get the help and they're kind of like their,
their, their attitude is, is this is good enough.
Right.
Right.
And I'm like, uh, this ain't going to work.
Which would happen at your funeral.
You'd be like, this is not good enough.
Let me do it myself. There good enough. Let me do it myself.
There you go.
Let me do it.
So
flipping funny. Are you fine in this thing?
We're 20 minutes over.
Who cares?
Even if it's just us watching.
It's okay.
Oh my gosh.
Are you ready for this? Oh yeah yeah i'm ready okay i don't
think there'll be any so me on my way to bury myself because my toxic treat is i can do it myself
that's you and vanessa
after skydiving
when we're dead and we couldn't do it by ourselves.
Apparently we needed help.
She's gone splat on the ground and I'm in the propeller.
Pass out though.
I'm passed out.
Oh man.
I don't know why that was so funny to me, but okay.
Interesting.
Okay.
I'm still booking our cruise.
Still booking our cruise.
We'll leave merch for that.
Yes, we will.
Yes, we will.
We'll let everybody know for those who want to come.
Yeah.
When it happens.
If it happens.
It has to because now this is what you want to do.
You can join us.
You just talk about it enough.
Eventually, it just happens.
Somebody gets impulsive and just books it.
That's how it works.
Right?
I don't know.
Okay.
Just do it at the first of the year because, oh my gosh, my schedule is off the charts.
The first of the year.
Right after Christmas, that week after Christmas where time does not exist.
Time does not exist.
During that week.
So we might as well be on a cruise with all the people that are doing what they're doing.
I just like literally, I am overwhelmed from this time to the end of the year.
I'm overwhelmed.
That's why the cruise would be perfect to end.
Like right after Christmas. I could do that. Ment why the cruise would be perfect to end. Like right after Christmas.
I could do that.
Mentally, I would enjoy myself.
Because right now, I literally feel a little stretched then.
I think that's the plan.
So next year, this time next year.
Oh, how about this year?
Well, no.
That's like a month away.
I'm just thinking.
Like a three-day cruise.
Can we just do it real quick
i mean sure thank you for talking for me okay you're welcome i'm just along for the ride
and we'll let you know yeah i'm actively working on my my um swimsuit body so right absolutely see
we're ready we're ready okay i'm just thinking we'll do the test run this time and then we can do one more for like the whole pot line.
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
Or not.
It's fine.
I don't know what that means, but okay.
Like inviting everybody in the next like six weeks, eight weeks, 10 weeks.
Oh, because that would be too fast.
I guess.
Would it?
It's only three days.
Okay.
I'll look into it.
Figure it out.
Figure it out.
I will.
And then we'll go from there. Listen, I don't think it'd be hard for a lot of people. I'll look into it. Figure it out. Figure it out. I will. And then we'll go from there.
Listen, I don't think it'd be hard for a lot of people.
I don't either.
I think there'll be lots of people who'd be like, I'm in.
Sign me up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think so too.
Okay.
All right.
Interesting.
Well, who knows people?
We'll get back to you on that one.
We're 23 minutes late.
Okay.
Do we get everybody?
Yours is what?
I would like to ride my horse.
I've yet to do that.
You have a horse?
I do.
I thought that was your daughter's horse.
I mean, technically, it's mine because I pay for it.
Oh, that is true.
You can do that today if you want.
I don't know if I trust her yet.
You trust the horse or your daughter?
The horse. Okay. Doesn't your daughter ride the the horse uh yes but she's like a horse girl like
she falls off and it's not a bit like you fall off that's what happens if i fall off
like why do you fall off because she's she's a thoroughbred i don't know they do weird stuff
she runs a little hot is that what you're telling me she's a little hot-headed she's a little she's
not and then she is so i would like for her to get to a place where i could ride her one day that would
be fun interesting okay okay that's the only thing i can think of back with me for the next podcast
okay i'll do that okay peppermintppermint Patty. Oh, man.
Okay, you've gone from arc to Democrat.
I know.
I like to keep everybody on their toes.
That's true.
That is true.
That is true.
You can't put me in a box.
Don't put me in a box.
There's no box for Vanessa.
Don't put baby in a corner. No.
Mm-mm.
Oh, my gosh.
Okay, Talia, you did yours.
