Starting point is 00:00:00 Real talk. Real talk. Real talk. Real talk. Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Hope Hotline. It is Wednesday. We have less than two weeks till Christmas. I'm the official countdown on Instagram and I forgot to post on Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:00:32 But I'll just say it right now and then I'll post later. It is officially less than two weeks. Oh my gosh. I know. I need to get shopping. I virtually have nothing. No. I am so unprepared.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Yeah, it's bad. Yeah, it's bad. I'm, like, racking my brain, and I am coming up with nothing. Tommy's completely done. Oh, good. But he already got all his, opened it up, and. No. Yes, he did.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Oh, my gosh. Yes, he did. Tommy. And his birthday. He's already got his birthday and his thing. So I'm like, what are you going to open up Christmas? He's like, I don't care. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:01:10 I love mine. It's okay. I love mine. There you go. There you go. Otherwise, nothing. Yeah. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:01:19 It's okay. So one less down. One down. About 100 to go. Wow. No, not literally. I don't deal with a lot of people. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:28 If I did that, I would be, if I bought for so many people, I would never not buy. I know. You have to start now for next year. So I knew a pastor's wife who bought for everybody. But what you ended up getting from her was like the thought did not count. Oh, yeah. I rather like by the time it was all done, I was just like, just don't even bother. But no, thank you.
Starting point is 00:01:55 Yeah. I'm like, it's you're buying just to buy. Why don't you just say something like how much that person you value that person? I'd rather get a card. Yeah. You know what I did one year? I think it was last year. something like how much that person you you value that person i'd rather get a card yeah yeah you know what i did one year i think it was last year i sent out a text and told the person that i was sending out the text to why i appreciate them so much and everything i love about them i don't get it either i didn't get one of these heather yeah trish got one i didn't get i didn't get one of these. Wow. Heather, yeah. I did not get one. Trish got one. I didn't get one.
Starting point is 00:02:25 I didn't get any one. No, I don't think so. You didn't give me one. I did. I'm going to scroll back. Hope, I did. I said, you have... There we go.
Starting point is 00:02:33 Wait, let me pull it up. You can search it. You know what you typed? Now she feels guilty. Now she's worried. She shouldn't, guys. She shouldn't. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:02:44 No, no, no. No, no, no. You got things to do. We got things to do because we have something to talk about. We do have something to talk about. Yeah. We got to clear some stuff up. There's some rumors. Some rumors going on.
Starting point is 00:02:55 Oh. Yeah. Yeah. Let's clear it up, Vanessa. Don't worry about that you ignored me last year. Hold on. Which I didn't. I did not ignore.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Me too. It's all right. She got a text message from you guys. I know how much you love me last year which i didn't i did not ignore me too it's all right she got a text message for me i know how much you love me i don't you might not have thought about it in the moment right truthfully oh man listen i'm right here there always and forever always listen listen you have to love me to stick with me right like like you do you'd have to love me 10 years now hope but i'm still around i know that's right you just keep getting closer and closer okay so there is a video out there okay can you should we show them let's show the video let's show the video and then we need to close whatever you want to do let's not watch the whole
Starting point is 00:03:41 idea okay let's just watch a little bit because i think it's four minutes long and we might get taken off of facebook which we're really pretty much off of facebook yeah yeah pretty much so what's what's it matter what's it matter okay i've lost weight since then i have heather's in the room and Heather says apparently she has to Hope you have a beautiful singing voice Thank you Thank you so much
Starting point is 00:04:15 My hair is much longer less damaged by the bleaching that I've done. Okay, we're good over here. Just two more seconds until... Can you fast forward and see my favorite part? Okay, fine. Let's do the fifth.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Let's remember this scene. Remember Norma's face. Let's remember this scene. Yeah, that's face. Let's remember this scene. Yeah. That's a lot of acting going on right now. Okay. All right. Go do it.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Fast forward to Vanessa, one of my favorite parts. Oh, here we go. Here we go. Painstaking. Yep. It's nice. It's nice. I love street. Yep, exactly. The night. Her mother's home.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Dancing with, she should be on rock. She should. Okay, okay. Go ahead, Vanessa. Listen. Listen. Just for the record, this video is from 2021. Correct.
Starting point is 00:05:21 And not. So many people. This year. A lot of people thought that this was from this year. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Correct. And not so many people. This year. A lot of people thought that this was from this year. They didn't read the post. Yeah, they did not. Like they don't read directions. Correct.
Starting point is 00:05:32 I'm famous for this too. So I'm not busting chops. And also, we're not singing. Yeah, we're not singing. Cannot tell you how many people have thought that we were actually singing this song. God bless. I wish. I know. That's so sweet. That's Glee. That's Glee. That's Glee singing. tell you how many people have thought that we were actually singing this song god bless i wish i know i know that's so sweet that's glee singing not us yeah and i ain't good like that you're not even close i wish there was a blooper reel because so much happened i don't know if we could show it
Starting point is 00:05:59 though during the filming of that video i think that that's a secret. I think the blooper reel would have been far better than the actual reel. Maybe. To a certain extent. Maybe for certain people. Minus the violence. Minus the violence. The violence?
Starting point is 00:06:13 Minus the violence. And the cat pee. And the cat pee. What you don't know is that entire house smelled like cat urine. I laid in it. That's the worst. I laid in it.
Starting point is 00:06:24 So my whole front. I laid in it. That's the worst. I laid in it. So my whole front. I laid in it pretty much from the beginning of the video. Right. She did. And I didn't lay on it in my back. No. I laid. Why?
Starting point is 00:06:39 Why I laid in that bed like that. I can't remember at the time. Nobody knows. Probably from exhaustion. I don't know why I was exhausted because, oh, that, no, it wasn't because, I don't know why I was exhausted
Starting point is 00:06:49 because we pretty much had just got there and took family pictures. Which, was I on my phone? Oh, I was on my phone. I leaned forward, probably texting. Thank you, Heather.
Starting point is 00:06:59 And I smelled urine. Fresh, wet urine. Which proceeded to get all over the front of my outfit. And we bought those outfits specifically for the video so it
Starting point is 00:07:18 looked like the house. Vintage. And I did that whole entire thing smelling like cat pee. I stank so bad. People kept trying to give me perfume. Listen, we all know. Cat pee?
Starting point is 00:07:34 Uh-uh. There ain't nothing getting through that force field. Nope. There is nothing. Nope. It was rough. Which sent me right over the edge. True.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Because then, Norma is all happy in front of that tree. That's all I know. 100%. She was mad. She was mad. She was mad at me at that.
Starting point is 00:07:56 She was. She was making me mad. So I made her mad. I can so see that. She needs an Oscar for that performance. Oh yeah. She does.
Starting point is 00:08:05 100%. She does. 100%. She does. Because she was peeped. Play that. Can you play that part right there? She is. In that very specific scene. Madder than a flipping hornet.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Because I ticked her off. Because I was like, she was not performing. And I was like, what are you doing? That's true. That's what it was. She was just like, I'm like, what are you doing? That's what it was. She was just like, I'm like, you have to like, you know, anything you do, you got to do bigger. Because on the camera, it looks like you're barely doing anything. Very true.
Starting point is 00:08:34 You're exaggerating everything. And so when we were practicing it out, she was barely doing anything. You got Vanessa over there just rocking the house. And you got Norma like barely moving yeah and normally norma performs but i'm like but she was grouchy yeah when she walked into the whole entire thing which led to her being a little not so good for this little thing but play this one part so it'd be okay that's where the he was too she's trying she's trying and then here she's happy again and she no no but then i took her into another room and i said this is how it's gonna go down
Starting point is 00:09:19 okay and so either this hat changes or changes, but something's changing. And then she like, Norma's very, very good at like, and this is one thing, she is very much like her father. I wish I was like this. And I love this about both of them. I'm learning to be more like this. Like as soon as she knows, like she is wrong. She immediately like just, but if she doesn't think she's wrong she's not doing it to do it but as soon as she knows she's wrong she immediately just fixes everything yeah whereas me i might know that i'm wrong but i have to get over being
Starting point is 00:10:01 irritated yeah and then compliant. But I'm getting better. I'm getting way better at just letting it go and just moving past it and then becoming compliant pretty quick. I also found the text message from December 25th 2023. You did send me one? Don't tell
Starting point is 00:10:22 people it. Don't tell people what you wrote. But just say, wait, let me show it to Talia. You can show it. Can you confirm? Yeah, let me see. It was probably so sweet. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:10:32 Can you check and see if you sent me one? Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh, yeah. Yeah. It's there. It's there. It's great. Forgive me for what I have sent.
Starting point is 00:10:41 I'm no longer mad at you. What a perfect opportunity to be wrong. See, I'm learning really quick. Right. Please forgive me Please forgive me I was wrong I forgive you And now I'm no longer mad at you Or feel neglected by you See the thing is
Starting point is 00:10:55 For me that's far better Than any gift that you can give Even though I can't remember a dag of more that she said I'm sure she'll send it to me You were very moved I was very moved Yes she did Even though I can't remember a dag of more than she said. I'm sure she'll send it to me. But for me, like. You were very moved. I was very moved. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Yes. Yes, she did. Oh, good. She did. Oh, good. It was like a paragraph, right? Yeah. Oh, see.
Starting point is 00:11:14 I was wrong. It's just been a long time. It's been a whole year. Yeah. How do I remember that? I can't remember like 45 minutes ago. Me either. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Same. But I will say like for me don't buy me a lot of little soaps which is what I used to get. A pair of socks and little soaps.
Starting point is 00:11:32 I'm like Why is it always socks? Always socks. Always socks. And listen like my sock drawer is full. But for me I'm like just don't even bother.
Starting point is 00:11:43 What you should do is don't worry about buying a lot of little things for people that you like, but it's not significant enough for you to spend a substantial amount of money, so it's significant. Scrap all those people, and then save up your money for the people that you really should buy for. And then the rest of them, you do like you do say how you value them or you do it in a different way. But it doesn't have to be gifts. And that's for me, like a lot of times.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Not that I'm saying to do this because, oh, my gosh, like my house looks like a bakery every Christmasmas because oh my gosh i get so many baked goods which people are so sweet and so dear to do that like i literally i'd be mrs claus if i ate every single one of those thanks but to me it's like make something for somebody for when people give us baked goods, which please don't, because I get a lot of them. I'm not suggesting that. I'm just saying when people do something like that, they didn't really spend very much money.
Starting point is 00:12:53 But there was time and thought behind what you gave. So for me, it's like there's a lot more value, which, by the way, Caleb Goodwin came to my house today because my shower hand broke off in the shower. Caleb Goodwin, titanium plumbing. Fantastic. But Sarah just did a bunch of cookies. I didn't even wait for him to leave pretty much.
Starting point is 00:13:16 It's a little box. It had about three cookies and about three, what are those things called? Buckeyes. And that's perfect. If everybody gave that amount of Christmas, like Vanessa always gives Christmas cookies out, but what you do is you give two to three of the different ones that you made, which usually aren't that many.
Starting point is 00:13:45 Do you know what I mean? So normally I get like maybe seven cookies. Yeah. Yeah. I've never received cookies from you either. Oh, my goodness. Okay. Well, I do.
Starting point is 00:13:55 Crazy. I do either. I feel better. We're friends. So like your chocolate. There's ones that you like. What's the ones that Aaron loves that you do? Oh, the ginger snaps.
Starting point is 00:14:03 The ginger snaps. Oh, yeah. They rock the house. Yeah. He's got some coming to him. And your chocolate chip cookies over the top. Yeah. Snickerdoodles are really good, too.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Over the top. Yeah, snickerdoodles are good, too. I want to know. I've only had one because I stole somebody's. Exactly. You know who else makes killer? Like, yes. Travis and Heather
Starting point is 00:14:25 pay. So have I. I have too. Chris. Chris. She makes great lemon bars. Nobody in lemon bars like that one then. That's why we have her make so many different things. And Sarah Goodwin makes a lot of our desserts too because their stuff is so stinking good.
Starting point is 00:14:41 But I'm just telling you that peppermint bark. It's crack. She doesn't even, it's crack. Exactly. She doesn't make it and give it away. Or not because she's just busy. But we pay her to make it because we want it that bad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:58 15 pounds the Dexter's got last year. It's no joke. That's how good it is. Wow. Have you put an order in yet? Oh, gosh. Get on that. I know.
Starting point is 00:15:11 We have two weeks. Can you order two for me? And I'll pay you. Put the order in. I'm just saying, guys. Like, that's significant. I shouldn't say substantial. But those kinds of things are significant.
Starting point is 00:15:25 They really are. You don't have to spend a lot of money. Nope. Or spend no money. Giving me hand sanitizer and socks. You said socks and soap. It's nice. I'm not saying that it wasn't I'm like, I mean, it's nice. I'm not saying that it wasn't nice of her, but she's on a budget.
Starting point is 00:15:50 And by the time it's all said and done, what are you going to do with all that? Yeah. True. True. I'm not big on just buying the generic gift. I'm big in think about the person and buy the gift for that specific person. That's what I'm into. Because generic gifts, it's like
Starting point is 00:16:09 you know you're having to fill a slot. You're checking off a name. I don't want to check off a name. Because you're not getting something from me. Which doesn't mean I don't like you, but it just means that Tracy's not getting anything from you. Exactly. I know what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:16:26 I don't really buy for anybody. I don't even buy for the Dexters. Well, I do buy for the kids. I do for the kids. Yeah. But, I mean, we don't even exchange. Yeah. I mean, at the end of the day, you end up just swapping cash.
Starting point is 00:16:40 Think about that. Yeah. Yeah. Or what? Or shoes. I mean, some people, all you're doing is exchanging money with them. True that. So for me, I usually don't buy for people like that
Starting point is 00:16:55 where I'm going to exchange money with them. I buy for people that I feel like I need to buy for them for whatever personal reason I have. Yeah. I mean, did you get it? I mean, you guys are the same reason I have. Yeah. I mean, did you get it? Do you, I mean, are you, you guys are the same? I agree. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:07 I agree. So there's some significance behind it. The gift. Yep. Because it's the thought that matters. No, it's not. The thought that counts. No, it's not.
Starting point is 00:17:17 No, it's not. It's not. Hope, it's our opinion. And it's wrong. It's archy. I it's wrong. It's archy. I'm trying to get that out of you. It's true.
Starting point is 00:17:31 They've been in the arch church for well, almost, well, Vanessa's been No, that's not true. You've still been in the arch far longer. Not your old church. Your Pentecostal holiness where you couldn't wear makeup and your dress was down to your ankles. That of bad doctrine I had to. But that's not arc.
Starting point is 00:17:47 No, no, no, no. That was not. Not at all. Now, Tracy, on the other hand, arc all the way. Well, it's only five years, and I was still listening to Jonathan at that time, so I'm okay. I've unlearned a lot of things. There's just certain things that it's a thought that counts. Yeah, apparently haven't learned enough.
Starting point is 00:18:05 And you be you. You're not okay. And you be you. You be you. So it's just certain things that it's a thought that counts. Yeah. Apparently haven't learned enough. And you'll be you. You're not okay. You'll be you. Find your tribe. Oh my gosh. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:18:18 So before we get into the first question and I kill all of the peanut gallery over there. Talia's been such a good girl. She's a good girl. She's a good girl. She knows. She'll get razzle dazzled later. Okay, so let's do the thing really fast and then we'll get to the three questions. It's going to be really fast because Facebook is being silly. I don't know what is going on. Our foundation church page, there's no content right now at all. Um, but on certain
Starting point is 00:18:47 things you can see it and then Facebook for the Hope Hotline and it's, it's there, but it's not really loaded. So if you're struggling to see it, but you're, it's kind of, I don't know what's going on. So if it's going in and out, this is a perfect opportunity to come over to Rumble. Um, just go to search, just write the Hope Hotline. It will pop up. You'll see our logo. You'll know it's us. And then when you come over, follow, like, and then comment where you're watching from. And then YouTube's been fine too, but Blackrobe we're having an issue with as well. So it's just Rumble and YouTube today are the best options, but Rumble is the best best. So come on over and later on you can find the audio podcast as always. We need you guys to send in your questions.
Starting point is 00:19:25 So if you have any specific holiday, Christmas, New Year's Eve, those kind of questions, those would be great to send in now before it's too late. And then if you just have other random questions, send them in and we'll have those ready for the new year and or after Christmas. And we've got our Instagram that you can always go and follow us at we've got stuff going on there updates and all kinds of stuff so reshares Instagram stories and we're also on TikTok so you can go over to TikTok and find us there as the year continues to go on we're going to be pumping out a lot of stuff on there again if you are on TikTok you know the deal you're liking commenting saving and then if you repost it, that would be really helpful and to get it onto your for you page. And then it'll just,
Starting point is 00:20:09 it'll help the algorithm for people to find us. There is so many people on TikTok. And there's a lot of people probably that don't know any of this stuff and are just looking for answers to questions that maybe they, they think they know the answer and it doesn't have a biblical backing, and so maybe they'll fall on our page and learn something new. So that would be really cool to add to our tribe. Next is the Hope Hotline merch. We've got UVU. I'm going to get that spoon right there.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Talia's going to get the spoon from me, on me. And then you've got the Hope Hotline mug and the hat. So this, just in case it's been a while and you haven't seen it, that is our spoon. It is multi-purposed. I'll be using that later. Yeah, I will be using that later. We'll have a couple of marks. And then of course our hat and Talia. So, and then very soon, like Hope just said, it is right around the corner, guys. So start liking and sharing our posts on Facebook as you see them pop out on Instagram. Share them in your stories and then personally invite people like it's great. Thank you so much for sharing all these posts that we're putting out so that like your, you know, news feed can see it or your for you page and stuff can see it.
Starting point is 00:21:23 But actually personally invite somebody this year or like a lot of people. You have neighbors as they're walking. If you walk past anybody and you say Merry Christmas, just ask them if they have any plans for Christmas Eve. And most people will want to do something on Christmas Eve. A lot of people don't have either family in town and they're looking for opportunities. Everybody's always wanting to go somewhere to do something for Christmas, whether it's like a festival or whatever. So people are more open this time of year
Starting point is 00:21:50 to be invited into church and actually come. And then after that, it's the Holy Spirit's job and we'll do our best to make it a great service for everybody. And I think that's it for today. I think that's all I got. All right. Come back to you. I'm so excited about that. Me too. Oh my gosh. It's going to be so much fun. Yeah, me too. So we're going to continue on with the Christmas. Yes. The Christmas questions. Yep. What month was Jesus born in? And you know,
Starting point is 00:22:20 this is like a controversial question because we all know that Jesus wasn't born on December 25th and it's kind of like no one knows about the day or hour for his return well nobody knows specifically about the day the day that he was born but there are a lot of things in scripture that give us an idea, actually, when he was born. Not the date, but the time frame of what he was born. like to listen to are historians reliable to historical events and things like that. They believe that he was born in early fall. And I'm going to read to you a couple of interesting points to that. It says, in JW.org, Jesus was born in the early fall of 2 BC by counting backward from the death on Passover in 34 CE, which is before Christ, you know, after Christ or whatever. But nobody, we don't know. We know that he entered into ministry approximately at 30, and he only ministered for three years.
Starting point is 00:23:50 So that's not an exact. But then you go on to, according to BibleTools.org, Jesus was born in the autumn of 4 BC, possibly on the Feast of Trumpets. And there's a reason why they believe it's the Feast of Trumpets, which we'll get into. Now, I don't follow these three, but there's other ones that I'm going to mention. According to PSEPHIZO, Jesus was born in September because Mary conceived shortly after Gabriel's visit to Nazareth. And then you add into the six months between John the Baptist, which is his cousin, a lot of people don't know that, but Elizabeth was cousins with Mary. So that made Jesus and
Starting point is 00:24:40 John the Baptist cousins. And a lot of times, a lot of people don't realize that the Bible, if you ever study it out, you'll find out that a lot of things took place in small areas. A lot of people were family or close to one another. So it makes a lot of sense. All these people weren't just somehow coming coming together. Wasn't like that. When you look at scripture, you look at, that's why the Bible has geography in it. It has you, it has the maps and things like that. They're significant. There's reasons why they're not just in there to be in there.
Starting point is 00:25:22 They're in there for significant purposes for you to study out what was going on, what transpired, who was where, what was where, so that you can have a clear understanding of what was happening in that time frame and the whereabouts that was happening. So John the Baptist and Jesus were born six months from each other. The Word tells us that. And it says, and then nine months of Mary's gestation brings us to around the middle of September. So everybody's believing it's early, early fall. Now, I'm going to read to you a Perry Stone, and you know, everybody knows I'm a lover of the Perry Stone Bible. Do you have the Perry Stone?
Starting point is 00:25:57 Okay, that's what I thought. Everybody knows that he's my go-to for a lot of things, but the reason he's my go-to is a lot of things. But the reason he's my go-to is because he isn't just the source. He started going over to Israel in the 1980s or something like that. And he not only went over there for tours, but he has spent a large amount of time
Starting point is 00:26:23 with historians over there, with the Jewish people who know what took place, when it took place, archaeologists, things of that nature. So he's dug deep into the Middle Eastern Jewish culture to help better understand for himself, but as well as for teaching it to others. And he goes to Josephus a lot, who was a historian, as well as other great historians who were living at that time that were able to explain certain things. So his take on this is super good. I'm going to read it to you. It says, some scholars assume that this event occurred in the early fall months angels were seen rejoicing over christ's birth and announced to the shepherds the birth of of
Starting point is 00:27:12 the christ child we are uncertain how many shepherds were there were christ was likely born during the festival of tabernacles in sukkot an outdoor booth translated as stable in the New King James. This is interesting since many of the sacrificial animals would have been born either outdoors or in a stable-like setting. So what he's doing is he's paralleling Jesus, who is the Lamb of God, versus the shepherds who were tending and watching over the sheep and the lambs that were being born at that time. Thus, Christ, the ultimate sacrifice for our redemption, was born, not in an inn, but in the same manner that the temple sacrifices would have been born. The lambs used for the daily temple offerings were also raised in Bethlehem.
Starting point is 00:28:06 And Jesus was born in Bethlehem. And the shepherds that were watching and tending those sheep were Levitical priests, which is significant because Jesus also, I mean, we'll just keep going. Here, local shepherds came to see the final sacrifice the Lamb of God so the very people who were tending sheep and watching over the lambs that would be sacrificially given as offerings also came and they watched over and they saw the true Lamb of God which is is not by accident that shepherds were the ones that came to see him people think that that that, it's weird. But if you also look at shepherds of that day, they were the lowest of the low.
Starting point is 00:28:48 To be a shepherd and tend sheep was like equivalent to like a job that nobody wants to do. Like I used to be, I used to have a house cleaning business. When my kids were in school, just getting to have a house cleaning business when my kids were, um, in school, uh, just getting to the place where I could leave them for a little bit of time and then come back and finish the school that they couldn't do. Or it may be, it gave me a great, uh, flexible, flexible schedule. So I owned my own company. And, um, so what would happen is, is I would go and clean these houses and these people would think like I was a drug addict or like I was kind of like a low life.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Because a lot of times people who clean homes don't have an education and they kind of are drug addicts. They get caught for stealing people's stuff out of medicine cabinets all the time. So it would be equivalent to like somebody who was a housekeeper, which is a job nobody wants to do. Lots of people don't want to clean other people's toilets. I will tell you though, it pays really well because nobody wants to do it. So that's one of the reasons I did it. Cause I could, you know, you could go work at Walmart, Publix or whatever. You're not going to say make the same amount of money. So I was like, my time was very limited.
Starting point is 00:30:08 So I'm like, how can I make the most money, work smarter, not harder? Because I had to still teach my kids. But that being a shepherd was equivalent to doing a job like that. Nobody wants to do it. It's like garbage men. Nobody wants to pick up people's garbage. But what they don't realize is garbage men make a lot of money. They do very well. There's a reason they do it. It's like garbage men. Nobody wants to pick up people's garbage, but what they don't realize is garbage men make a lot of money. They do very well. There's a reason they do it. Nobody wants to do that job. Okay. They're willing to do it, but they're getting paid. Yeah. And that's the
Starting point is 00:30:35 facts. So there was, it was significant that, you know, God chooses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. He allowed shepherds, the lowest of the low, or considered the lowest of the low. Like how many people did God rise up? Like David was a shepherd boy, tending sheep. A lot of people that were significant in the Bible came from a very humble beginning and were used in a mighty, mighty way.
Starting point is 00:31:05 So don't ever look at what career you're in or your education or things of that nature and think I'm limited. Not with God. You're never limited with God because you are somebody he can use because in and of yourself, you know you can't do it. But with him, all things are possible. And he can use because in and of yourself, you know, you can't do it. But with him, all things are possible. Yeah. And he can use you mightily.
Starting point is 00:31:27 So never look at, you know, where you come from and think that I can't do anything. Oh, you're probably more valuable and more usable than the person who thinks that they can with the highest education there is, doctorate or whatever. Sometimes those people think, look at me, look at me. God could really use me. And God's like, no, because you will think you've done it versus me doing it. Then let's keep going. Joe Amaral. I love this author. He is so good. He is a great Jewish historian. I mean, I love his stuff. He says he actually names the date and if he is right
Starting point is 00:32:06 this is mind-boggling but he says that based on based on i don't want to hear at peanut gallery from like nasa and the things that they've recorded it he believes it was september 11th wow that'd be wild what september 11 11th. Yeah. Which is crazy. That is crazy. Which, if that's the truth, the significance in the history of all that. Right. Because everything's numeric.
Starting point is 00:32:36 And people, like, if you've ever studied out what people believe, why that happened on September 11th with the Twin Towers, that's very significant. Especially since it was Middle Eastern people who actually did it. It's very wild, the numerology of September 11th. I believe it. It's very crazy.
Starting point is 00:33:00 And God works in the numbers. Yeah. He does. So, too deep to go into why he believes that for right now. But, I will say that the most common belief
Starting point is 00:33:17 as to reason why that we chose, like for me, I'm like, why December 25th? Like of all days, why did we pick that day and who picked it they well i found out and i'm like this is super interesting it says the real reason for the selection of december 25th seems to have been that it is actually nine months after
Starting point is 00:33:40 march 25th the traditional date of of Jesus' crucifixion. As Christians developed the theological idea that Jesus was conceived and crucified on the same date, they set the date of his birth nine months later. So really, it has nothing to do with, again, it goes back to like, what is that, epiphany? The epiphany, which isiphany which is uh uh king's day three kings day yeah the reason we pick three kings day is because of 12 days from christmas right right which all of that's weird but i don't buy into the world's numbers, but I do buy into the biblical numbers. And I just think, again, it's numbers, but if you've never studied out numbers, though, like not numbers in the Bible, I'm just talking about what numbers are significant for,
Starting point is 00:34:42 it will flip and blow your mind, and it will prove the Bible even more to you. It's significant. I've never studied out the numbers, so maybe that's the next one. It's great. It's actually so... All it does is solidify more and more of the word to me. Right. Right. It just makes you more grounded and more firm on your foundation.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Right. It's so satisfying to like when everything reconciles with each other. Yeah. Like everything connects. And when you make those connections, you're like, yeah. Yeah. Because then for the naysayers, you're those connections you're like yeah yeah because
Starting point is 00:35:25 then for the naysayers you're like you're just you just don't know what you're talking about it isn't just a book it isn't with a bunch of characters that doesn't just happen you know whenever I read in Isaiah about the crucifixion I always get goosebumps
Starting point is 00:35:41 because that was written so long before the crucifixion happened. And I just got done with Isaiah today and it's full. I, you know, it's so funny you say that because the last chapter in the book of Isaiah, I'm going to pull it up really quick. The last verse, hold on, let me do this.
Starting point is 00:36:09 I think it's 22. It's amazing. It's 66, I believe. 22. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, says the Lord, so shall your descendants and your name remain. Now get this, because it talks about revelation. If you go before that, get this.
Starting point is 00:36:46 Hold on. No, the 24th was. I was wrong. This is good. So get this. This is where, remember we did the one where is hell? Will people be able to see people in hell and stuff like that? When I read this, I was like, this is,
Starting point is 00:37:13 and this is one of the reasons why, which I will end up doing a teaching on this, but this is one of the reasons why some people, everything is in Israel. Everything will go right back to israel and one of the reasons why they believe it's the dead sea but if because the dead sea is actually a lake okay right and around the edges of the lake at different times people can see fire it's like hell is like a volcano if you think of hell like a volcano that makes sense
Starting point is 00:37:42 right with the things bursting up and things like that. But get this, 24 closes out with, and they shall go forth. And this is Isaiah saying this. Like the word of the Lord. Every promise in there is for you. If this is true, if you need healing in your body, if this is in here, like what I'm about to read to you, then you can believe in the promises of God. Amen.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Yes. Because how would, and Isaiah talks about the promises. By his stripes, we are healed. By his iniquities, which is sin, we have salvation. Yeah. So it says, and they shall go forth and look upon the corpses. And this is believers, because this is talking about the new heaven, right? Or the millennial reign, which will also be when the new heaven is being created.
Starting point is 00:38:31 And they shall go forth and look upon the corpses of the men who have transgressed against me. For their worm does not die and their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh. You'll be able to see into hell.. You'll be able to see into hell. Believers will be able to see into hell. Now, whether or not they'll be able to see us, I don't know. But that scripture right there says we'll be able to see. It's super clear.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Very clear. Very clear because 22 starts about how the new heaven and the earth will be. And if you look at that, it's like the last, the reign and indignation of God is what that is at 14 it talks about. It's just, it's like mind boggling. Yeah. Read your Bible every day, people. Every single day. Read your Bible every day.
Starting point is 00:39:21 It'll open up your eyes. But to just truth. But yeah, when I read that this morning, I was like, holy mackerel, because that's another scripture that definitively tells us that we can see. But then when you add in and you study out the Dead Sea, which I'm studying out the Dead Sea, it's like the Dead Sea is in the lowest, it's like 1,377 or 70 feet. So it's located at 1,370, right? I will just say 1,370 below sea level. Then if you go to the deepest part of where they say the Dead Sea is,
Starting point is 00:40:00 it's at 1,236 or something like that. So it gets even lower. Right. it's at 1236 or something like that. So it gets even lower. And they say that there are parts where the water is so hot, the deeper you go. Hmm. Interesting. And then where the salt structures are,
Starting point is 00:40:19 because the Dead Sea goes all the way from, I think it's Ethiopia. I might be wrong. No. It's Africa to I don't remember the other country. It's huge, but it's not a sea. They call it the Dead Sea, but it's actually a lake.
Starting point is 00:40:38 It's like Lake Michigan has all the different lakes, but it makes up, like freighters go through there. It's like a go through there it's like a sea but it's not a sea it's actually a lake like it's crazy yeah like if you just the bible you can never completely get done with it to how many places you can go with it oh yeah literally it's crazy let's do sponsors okay laura keller and Real Estate Appraisal Associates of Southwest Florida has been in business since 2005. Starting point is 00:42:24 washes the other. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying to you is if you can find somebody you know and trust, when I found people that were reliable, that I could trust, and I knew they did a good job, I always held on to them. Their business lives by Proverbs 16, 3, which says, commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. And it just so happens I have his hot little wife

If you need them, for the ones that can't see the screen because you're listening, which most people are, they're not watching because you're listening, which most people are. They're not watching. They are listening.
Starting point is 00:43:46 It's 941-460-3962. 941-460-3962. You will not go wrong if you give him a call. Does pretty much everything. And if he doesn't do it, he'll help figure it out for you. Because I can't tell you how many times I've called the man and been like, I'm in trouble. True. Me too. I don't know. And he's like, we'll figure it out. True. Thank you, Lord. Everybody needs a Nick. Yep. That's all I'm gonna say. Yeah. Everybody needs a Nick Hanson. His wife might disagree with that. But we we feel differently. Just kidding.
Starting point is 00:44:22 All right, next question. Now the next two questions, one of them is mine because I found it. And the next one, or I found something that I thought was interesting. So it's not really a question. It's more like what the what.
Starting point is 00:44:40 And this one is a strange question but because it's not questions, strange question. But the Christmas song talks about a Yule log and Deck the Halls has has see the blazing Yule before us. What is that a type of tree? So strange question. But the Christmas song talks about a Yule log and Deckca Halls has seen the blazing Yule before us. What is that a type of tree?
Starting point is 00:45:09 I didn't know what a Yule log was. Do you guys know what a Yule log was? Do you know what a Yule is? I don't know. I literally wrote in this, I had no idea, and you people teach me stuff as much as I teach you. Yes. I had no idea what a daggum mule is.
Starting point is 00:45:28 No. Not mule. Mule. Mule. I mean, Y-U-L-E. Yeah. The Christmas song, Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire. Isn't that the Christmas song?
Starting point is 00:45:39 Yes. Yeah. Oh, mule log. I thought it was a dessert. Is it a dessert? No, it's not a dessert. I thought it was a piece of wood. I thought it was a dessert. Is it a dessert? No, it's not a dessert. I thought it was a piece of wood. I thought it was a log.
Starting point is 00:45:49 I did too. What is it? That's what I thought. It's both. It's got something. No, it is not a dessert, girls. Okay. That's all that comes up when you search it.
Starting point is 00:45:58 No, it's not. That's maybe because that's not what it is. I'm going to tell you. Yeah, tell us. So, the German lunar calendar in December and January, there's a Yule festival. It's pagan, guys. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Me too. Which we've changed this up to make it, the Yule festival has been changed to make it Christian related. But it's not. It's pagan. So it's like trunk or treat? Well, it's like a fall festival. Fall festival.
Starting point is 00:46:30 Yes. Okay. It's like a fall festival. Okay. Instead of taking your kids and dressing them up and going door to door, you're just going to the church. Yes, this is exactly another way we've transitioned something.
Starting point is 00:46:41 Love that for us. Never mind. I'm going to leave it alone. Okay, go ahead. The Yule Festival celebrates the birth of Jesus with a 12-day feast. Can I be there? I would gain so much weight. That's like going on a 12-day cruise. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:47:02 I'm all in. All you can eat. Yeah. It's called Epiphany or the Feast of the Nativity. Okay. Okay. So the Feast of Nativity was planned to correspond with the pagan holiday the Feast of
Starting point is 00:47:16 Sol Invictus, which celebrated the winter solstice and the gradually lengthening days of increased sunlight. So over time, these feasts merged to become the holiday we now know as Christmas. Wow. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:34 In today's language, Yule is simply the feast celebrating the birth of Christ. Yuletide is the Christmas season. Okay. Which, you know what? After I read that, I'm like, I have heard Yuletide. Yeah, I have either. That makes sense to me. Make the Yuletide gay.
Starting point is 00:47:53 Right. That's like the lyric. That's the lyric, yeah. It's true. Make it happy. It's literally the first thing that came to my mind was that song. Not me. I had to look up what songs have Yule in them. That was not one of them.
Starting point is 00:48:07 I did not have it. I literally had this conversation recently with my daughter because she was like, wait, did he just say gay? Not the same way you think it. Gay means happy. Back in the day,
Starting point is 00:48:18 it used to mean happy. It was a long time ago. So it says, while many aspects of the story of Jesus' birth are celebrated at the Yule season, remnants of the original feasts and celebrations also show up in many Christmas carols and traditions. But it's also a log. Because get this. The Yule log was a huge log. This is pagan too.
Starting point is 00:48:44 That was part of European Christmas celebrations for centuries. The Yule log was lit on Christmas Day and burned for the following 12 days of Christmas. Wow. A remainder of the Yule log was kept to light the next year's log.
Starting point is 00:49:00 So you would keep that log all year long to light the next log next Christmas. So you'll light the next Yule log with last year's Yule log. Interesting. Okay. So the Yule log was thought to have the power to ward off misfortune. So it was kept in the home year long. Absolutely not. Wow. That's witchcraft. Stinky. Plus it smells. I know because I left logs in my fire from last year all the way until
Starting point is 00:49:29 I think September or October. Your logs are now often symbolized by a cake shaped like a log. So that's what you're talking about, but it's not. It's not what it is. Does that make sense? Is that what you saw?
Starting point is 00:49:45 Yeah. A cake-shaped, like a log? Yeah, yeah. Interesting, because I didn't see that. Yeah, it's all interesting. You go under images, and it's all in. Literally, it's just cake. It does talk about it, but it for sure is all cake.
Starting point is 00:50:00 So I'm going to just say to you guys, listen. Oh, look at that. Pull that up, girl. I'd eat that all day. That Yule log right there? It almost looks like that dessert you like. Yeah. That Longhorn.
Starting point is 00:50:12 Yeah. Oh, yeah. But that's got too much cream in it. That's not like the Stampede. No, not all these. The Stampede is all chocolate all the time. You know what the first one looks like to me? The first one looks like one of those devil dog cakes.
Starting point is 00:50:26 Oh, yeah. I love those devil dog cakes. The ding-dongs. But it has the word devil in it. Am I allowed to eat those anymore? No, absolutely not. Heather says yes. I say yes.
Starting point is 00:50:35 Tracy says no. I say yes. I'm going with Heather. I would never. The devil is going to get you. The devil is going to get you. Is that the lyrics? No, the rhythm.
Starting point is 00:50:47 I was like, wait, was I singing that song wrong? Wow. Is that the lyrics? That got us. I was so confused. That was pretty good to switch that out so fast. Well done. Well done.
Starting point is 00:51:08 That's good. You did good, girl. That does look good. So let me just say this to you. Okay. Now, since we've been learning about Christmas, you're learning that a lot of things about Christmas are pagan. And Christmas Eve is going to destroy you even worse.
Starting point is 00:51:26 No, I'm just kidding. It's not. It's not going to do that. Really, the podcast is showing you, like, seriously, a lot of what Christmas stems from had a lot of pagan stuff to it. But it's like anything else. Like, for me, what are you celebrating? I know no Christian that celebrates Christmas
Starting point is 00:51:47 and it's not about the birth of Jesus. Every single person that I know of, that is their central focus. Now, some people get off balance and it becomes very commercialized for them. Okay, but at the end of the day, truly what is significant for them. Okay. But at the end of the day, truly what it's significant for them is Jesus. So what's the, what's the phrase you're so spiritually
Starting point is 00:52:15 minded that you're no earthly good. Have you ever heard that term? Have you ever met people that are so spiritually minded that they're no earthly good? All the time. I meet them somewhat regularly. Like Paul said, when in Rome, be a Roman. Okay. Like you're in this world. Okay. We're in this world, but not of it. Okay. I understand all that. But at the same time, if you want it to be pagan, it's going to be pagan. But if you want to celebrate Jesus, then it's going to be about Jesus. So don't let, if you are a person that has a tough time with balance,
Starting point is 00:52:55 don't worry about this. Because I think a lot of times people will be like, I can't do it anymore. I can't do these because they feel convicted. Don't let the world or what other people think convict you. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. If it's not pagan and if you are loving and celebrating Jesus, I know people, Tracy is one of them, that every year they bake a birthday cake. Correct. And they celebrate and they actually
Starting point is 00:53:23 sing happy birthday. And people will think that's crazy. I don't think it's crazy because whose birthday is it? Jesus's, whether he's here in the flesh or he's here in the spirit. He hears that. He loves it. I truly believe Jesus loves the fact that people are celebrating him and actually singing happy birthday to him. Thank God he came to this earth.
Starting point is 00:53:48 For me, there's no better celebration. Without him coming to this earth, we would have absolutely nothing. So why not celebrate it and get rid of the rest of the crap? Because it's crap. Don't put on yourself things that are not meant to be put on. Ladies. Absolutely. No, it's true. It was a tradition that my mom started a long time ago because she did. She wanted to be focused about Jesus, but still do all the fun stuff. But at the end of the day, the most important thing is Jesus. And it was never about December 25th. It was about celebrating
Starting point is 00:54:21 that Jesus was born and he came here so that we could live the life we were living. Otherwise it would be terrible without him. So yeah, there's no hope without him. Zero hope. So yeah. And if you've lived a day in the world without him, like, you know how terrible it could be if you lived any longer. So for some people, it should be so easy to celebrate him. I think sometimes you get so far removed from the world and you're in your church setting all the time and you're with your church people all the time. But like you step outside for a second and go talk to somebody in the world. Like it's rough out there.
Starting point is 00:54:53 Like people are barely making it right now. And so, and like, even if you're struggling as a Christian, like they're out there with no hope. You at least have the hope of, you know, if you tithe, if you do this, that it's going to come. Like you were saying earlier about the promises of the Bible, those are in there for you. And so your job is to start working through those and claiming them for yourself. So yeah, take a risk, jump off a cliff and say, you know what? I'm going to believe it. Yeah. Wholeheartedly. 100%. If you fail, which you will, sometimes you're going to fail. That's how you build
Starting point is 00:55:27 bigger and stronger faith. Everybody has a measure. Everybody's measure is the same to the measure and the degree you're using it. And the more you use it, the bigger the amount and the measure grows that you're not using. So, Vanessa?
Starting point is 00:55:44 No, I love that idea, actually. It's from Bobski. Yeah. I've heard lots of people do that. I think we're going to do a birthday cake this year. Yeah, it's so fun. Lots of people do it. But like you said, at the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:55:56 it's the condition of the heart. Right. That's all that matters, and that's all that God looks at. That's it. And you have to remember that the only thing that you're judged by is your heart. And a lot of people, because the outer shell looks so pristine and it looks so good, and they have everybody fooled, the only person they don't is God himself.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Jesus knows how dirty and gross and black that heart is. So the world can see one thing, but a lot of times people think that because they don't look a certain way that they don't fit the bill. I bet you you fit the bill better than the person that puts on the nice shell. Believe me, I know. Again, I could write a book.
Starting point is 00:56:44 I was telling Norma this morning, some of the best, some of the people that I have seen that worship the most are some of the meanest people I've ever met in my life. They look great, and they worship great. But the way they behave after they're done worshiping on the car ride to church, on the car ride home, and just their daily life during the middle of the week, that worship smells. It's not a wonderful aroma to the Lord. And we've got to be really careful about what we want people to have a perception of
Starting point is 00:57:18 because God doesn't care how you're trying to put the facade on. He cares about the reality. Yes, absolutely. care how you're trying to put the facade on he cares about the reality yes absolutely so make sure whatever's in here is actually what this looks like because the rest of it stinks if it's not true it's just the way it is true so 100 anybody else anything else okay let's do this one because this one i put here's a hope question Have you guys ever heard about the Krampus? Have you ever heard about the Krampus? Oh my goodness.
Starting point is 00:57:50 You have? I've never heard about the Krampus. I learned about it last Christmas on TikTok. Oh, see, I've heard about it, but I don't remember what it's about. Do you remember what it is? It's celebrated in Europe, right? And it's when the town gathers and there's these like demon looking things. It's one.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Or yes, that comes to terrorize the town. Oh, yes. It's the children. Yes. He's terrorizing the children. Okay, get this. What month is that? Stay away. Here's the Kramp children. Okay, get this. What month is that? Stay away.
Starting point is 00:58:25 Here's the Krampus. Okay. So Krampus, parents use the Krampus to make sure their kids behave. You know like how parents who make their, parents who allow their kids
Starting point is 00:58:37 to believe in Santa will literally say, you're going to get coals in your stocking if you don't behave, you're not going to get gifts. So it's a means to an ends for people but the krampus ain't like santa just so you know let me tell you about him
Starting point is 00:58:53 you can put him on i i took i got a picture of the krampus okay he's a he's a demonic goat monster. He's, obviously, he's pagan. A mythological pagan demon. It has long, curved horns, fangs, a long tongue, dark hair all over, and he's like a devil. He's supposed to kinda look like the devil. And in German, the word krampen means claw. And that's significant.
