Today we're not going to answer any questions. Today we're going to bring something different. Hello and welcome to the Hope Hotline. Thank you for joining us today. I hope you guys are doing good. Today we're not going to answer any questions. Today we're going to bring
Starting point is 00:00:29 something different. As a group, we're going to talk about, you know, I was reading the scripture, which is 2 Peter 1, 5 through 11. I was reading the scripture last week and when I read it, I like, I've read that, I don't even know how many times, and that thing just pounced right off the page. It basically answers everything in a nutshell. If you do this, and then you do this, and then you do this. Like all these chains of actions have an enormous result as a Christian. And it basically is the how-to. So if you do these things, the ultimate result is solid,
Starting point is 00:01:19 successful Christian life with eternity guaranteed. And when I saw that, I was like, you know what? I'm gonna talk about that. Christian life with eternity guaranteed. And when I saw that, I was like, you know what? I'm gonna talk about that. Because a lot of times people are just, they're like, I don't know what to do. I don't even know how to do it. This takes care of it for you.
Starting point is 00:01:36 You'll not have to think a lick about what to do and how to do it. It's already gonna do it for you. So you wanna do our little opening and then we'll go straight into chit chatting about stuff. Yes, absolutely. All right, so if you guys are on Facebook, make sure you like and comment and share

So this is a great one to share and get out to your feed, whatever that looks like on Facebook. If you're on Rumble, please repost that.
Starting point is 00:02:14 It's right underneath what the caption is, or what the title is, says repost. And you can just quickly say watch with me or whatever. Give us a thumbs up. And then there's the comment option as well, but also you can give in the live chat, tell us where you are watching from and who you are. Most likely we can tell who you are,
Starting point is 00:02:32 but we usually get some new people on every once in a while and sometimes you guys are quiet and we'd love to know who you are. If you're on YouTube, same thing. You can also come over to Rumble and join us in the live chat. Black robe is on and later on today we will have the audio podcast available.
Starting point is 00:02:46 If you're watching the replay and you're getting a lot of ads, please come on over to any of the other options. If you just want to listen to audio podcasts or watch on Facebook or YouTube, that is totally fine. We want you guys to enjoy the episode today. Please send in your questions. Typically, I post a story with a link to watch the live too. So if you're having a hard time finding it or something, you know, it's just something's going on, Just check the stories. They're usually in there. We also have a TikTok and a very exciting news. I need to make a graphic, but Hope is officially on TikTok. And that is what we've been waiting to tell you guys about. We got some fun behind the scenes stuff. So she's not posting anywhere else. So you definitely want to join us. I'll get a graphic up soon with her information. Maybe we can close out with that today.
Starting point is 00:03:48 And also we've got our merch available, foundationchurchfl.com, click shop, and you can always get it available at church as well. And I think that's it for today. Coming back. I am so lost on TikTok. But you're doing it. And we were just talking because before the mics
Starting point is 00:04:11 were turned on, Taya and Norma are like telling me what I'm doing wrong. I'm like, well, if I'm doing it, I don't know I'm doing it. I hate learning new things. I think TikTok's the wild, wild west though. Like the typically things that go viral. The thing is with TikTok,
Starting point is 00:04:32 you just don't wanna go viral off one random thing that has nothing to do with you because then nobody's gonna follow you. Well, the point is, is to build, you know, this whole little- This empire. This whole little empire. This TikTok empire.
Starting point is 00:04:44 And people love looking into people's lives. So you're doing the thing, you keep on keeping on, you get better and better. Look at us now, look how good we are now. Look at this podcast. It's a hot mess. I need to pull from the beginning. That's true.
Starting point is 00:04:59 I need to pull a hundredth episode. Holy crap. I need to go back and watch that again. Oh my gosh, please don't. I'm gonna delete that. I'm deleting it as if it never existed. But that's the interesting thing I like about TikTok. And the thing is, is like for me,
Starting point is 00:05:14 one of the things I love is I, like there's people that you kind of know, but you don't know. And so just, for me, I like day-to-day activity. I mean, I don't want to hear about how you think you have the best relationship on the face of the earth and behind the scenes, it's a crap shoot, okay? But if you film like your day, I love that stuff.
Starting point is 00:05:45 If you film like your day, I love that stuff. Because I don't know, like I like what other people do. I just don't wanna hear the false- Yeah, you wanna genuine. Palaces, I guess. Of what people actually, and TikTok, I mean, I don't know. Like if you're filming yourself, I guess you could play that things are- Only for so long. Only for so long.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Only for so long. Yeah, that's what I think. And people know, you just know when somebody's being genuine and when somebody is like trying to do something. Trying too hard. Trying way too hard. Yeah, so yeah. So for me, it's like, I'm just getting started,
Starting point is 00:06:22 but there's a point to this. I have a big picture and there's a point to this. Yeah. There's a, I have a big picture and there's a point to it. So we're starting out slow only because it would make, it would not be good if I started out with how I want, how, where this thing is leading. It won't, it won't go well for me. But if I gain traction, which I'm believing that I will,
Starting point is 00:06:46 if I gain traction, then you can actually do bigger things with it, spiritually speaking, that's the goal. The goal is to spiritually do something with it versus it just be, I mean, for me, a day in the life of somebody is very interesting, but at the end of the day for me, where is it biblically founded? And so you can't always,
Starting point is 00:07:14 lots of people don't wanna see that side until you kind of lull them to sleep, and then you do. You show it to them. It's a form of like evangelism now, because back then you like pounded the pavement. Right? Yeah. Right?
Starting point is 00:07:28 For evangelism you went to the corner with your little like mic. With your snake. And my snake. Yeah. Literally. That's how Vanessa got them in, her and Jeff. Now you get on TikTok and you kind of share your life.
Starting point is 00:07:42 But also like when you're sharing your life, you're being authentic to yourself and a part of your life is But also like when you're sharing your life, you're being authentic to yourself and a part of your life is your faith. Right. And so when the two go together. Yep. And the thing is for me, like, I have, like life has changed,
Starting point is 00:07:58 life is always changing and evolving. So for me, like, like making better choices, me losing weight, it's all biblically founded and things like that. So I think too, I've literally had a couple women come to me and tell me from the Hope hotline because of me working out and me changing how I was eating
Starting point is 00:08:21 and stuff that encouraged them and that made them. And these were women in my age group. And they're like, you know what, if you did it and it ain't too late for you, then it ain't too late for me. And I just don't see you, I don't think that there's a lot of, when I go to the gym,
Starting point is 00:08:36 there are quite a few women that are like me. They're older actually. And it's a beautiful thing to see that women that are in my age group are desiring to take care of themselves. But I've even like changed my eating habits, which I think you just,
Starting point is 00:08:52 a lot of times we see younger people doing it, but we don't see older people doing it and the importance behind it. So I think that's good too. So I think it can be twofold that you can use it in a positive way. But for me, bottom line is really, it's all spiritual for me. So, but what I, but what Tracy said is true. What I put on TikTok is not the same thing as what I put on Instagram or Facebook, which I like both of
Starting point is 00:09:18 them, but I would not like, I wouldn't put like a day in a life of what I do, me going and doing different things throughout the day. I would never put that on Instagram or Facebook. I don't know why. Like literally just posted a day in the life of myself on Instagram and Facebook. But what was it? Have you seen my Instagram?
Starting point is 00:09:40 I mean, have you seen, okay, is it like what I posted on TikTok though? Kinda. Kinda? Yeah, but is yours okay, is it like what I posted on TikTok though? Kind of. Kind of. Yeah, but is yours more like health, like you're making things. There's a focus to it for sure. You're making things, right?
Starting point is 00:09:52 Some of it. Yeah, like normally. So that makes sense to me though, but that's not really like mine is. We'll say, we'll say. No, I am gonna do stuff like that, but hers is, that makes sense though, because that's your business. Do you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:10:06 You can cross post. Yes, definitely. Yeah, Instagram's a great place to post. We'll start with TikTok, we'll get you rolling. And then when you're like- I like to share my gadgets. Oh, well, no, that's true. No, listen, I'm making something on TikTok,
Starting point is 00:10:21 for TikTok, I'm making something tonight. I'm excited. Oh yeah. Cooking? No. My ninja creamy video. That one video of you making the milkshake. Do you remember that video?
Starting point is 00:10:34 Oh my gosh. The one where me and Heather, Heather is laughing. Oh my gosh, that would go. Yeah, we might need to add that. But we actually could post that. Do we still have that? We can post it on TikTok. We got it.
Starting point is 00:10:43 I'll find it. What are you making? She was using the on TikTok. Yeah, we got it. We got it. I'll find it. What were you making? She was using the blender that she blends her cat food in. Oh yeah, I did a respond video to that, I remember. Oh my gosh. Oh, you did? Yes.
Starting point is 00:10:54 You didn't have a lid for it, right? Yeah. I didn't have to use like a plate. Did I have a lid for it? Oh, it's my bullet. It's my bullet. I ended up using my bullet and I was actually at the time having to crush my cat food for my cat.
Starting point is 00:11:07 Cause she couldn't. I cleaned it. It doesn't matter. That little cat food never hurt nobody. That's true. More protein. Protein. We're always looking for protein.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Well, I mean, Talia ate my dog ice cream. So what are you saying? Ew. Talia. I was curious, Talia ate my dog ice cream. So what are you saying? Ew. Talia. I was curious as if it tasted like regular ice cream. So I was like, give me a scoop of it. Does it? She ate it.
Starting point is 00:11:31 No, it was awful. It was awful. She ate it. What's the difference? Me crushing up Cat Tree and her eating, and her actually eating the cat ice cream. Dog ice cream at least tastes normal, like closer to normal. That's dog, that's cat food.
Starting point is 00:11:48 It's gross. All of it. Well, yeah, that's probably true. And added to your protein goal for sure. That's probably true. But at the end of the day, it mixed well. Nobody knew. I cleaned that sucker good.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Heather, did I not clean that sucker good? Oh, good. Thank you. She's not even gonna give you that. Power to the people, thanks Norma. That's my baby. That's true, that's true. Norma's saying, listen, if we slaughter our own chickens, we can eat cat food, that's true.
Starting point is 00:12:20 You guys are something else. Oh my gosh. When we killed our chickens, please tell that. I might have pita after us. But you're doing it to eat it. It's fine. And honestly, TikTok is the wild, wild west. You can get away with basically anything.
Starting point is 00:12:36 There's no rules. There's no rules. You just do it. I mean, there's words you can't say. The things I've seen though. Yeah. Oh yeah. And then we'll bail you out. It's the peanut gallery.
Starting point is 00:12:50 And you can be like Paul in prison. Oh my gosh. In the waiting cell. No, I'll be like Peter. The angels let me out, knock it on the door and you guys don't let me in. I know, yeah exactly. You slammed the door in my face.
Starting point is 00:13:02 We'll be there waiting for you. That's how it'll be. Okay, so like Sarah, are you on TikTok? I don't post a lot on TikTok, only because I try to produce and not consume on social media and when I go on TikTok, I go down what they call the old scroll hole. Oh really?
Starting point is 00:13:20 And then I don't do anything of value for that time. Oh really? Yeah, I can see that. There's talk about reactivating what I do on TikTok, but I had to go and clean some stuff out of there just from my old posts. So we'll see. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Yeah. Linda says she doesn't have TikTok, but she would get it for you. Linda, Linda, Mark, oh right, I was about to say, aw. She was like, I don't have TikTok, but I get it for you. Linda, Linda, Mark, or I was about to say, aw. She was like, I don't have TikTok, but I get it for you, Miss Hope. I love you, girl. Norma's got a problem with TikTok.
Starting point is 00:13:53 I love you. Norma, I think, reactivated hers too for me. Thank you, Norma. I did. I love you, God bless. I saw that she posted a heart on my thing and I went, I'm getting the backing of my daughter. God bless.
Starting point is 00:14:07 And she had totally gotten rid of it because she was like, I got a problem. I got a problem. She has the problem again. You guys cannot hear her. Oh my gosh. That's flipping funny. Gotta love when people are honest.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Me, Norma and Kristen have a group chat and we just send TikToks to each other all the time. It's bad. Who is this? You, Kristen and Norma. Are you surprised? Or dance. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:14:40 It's so funny. Anyways. Oh my gosh. We'll let them deal with their problems. You don't have to get TikTok and get addicted and then follow Hope. Absolutely, yeah, just follow Hope. Just don't have self-control people.
Starting point is 00:14:53 I'm gonna ask you to follow me and share. That's what I'm gonna ask. Repost. Repost, thank you. See, I don't know the term. I know, it's okay. Like, comment, and repost. Yeah, like, comment, and repost.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Tell you, can you put her, just put it in the comments. We're gonna tell you who it is and then I'll make a graphic while we're doing this today so you guys can find her. Should be pretty easy to find her if you are on TikTok. Also- And if you like the video, I mean, I do my own videoing,
Starting point is 00:15:17 just so everybody knows. Even if you don't like it, please just repost it. I do all of it, that's part of the problem. I do my own videoing. You're a good supporter. I don't do my own editing. I have somebody for that. But that's what I'm getting complaints about
Starting point is 00:15:29 is the videoing. So I gotta learn. Yeah. It's a learning process. You're gonna do it. She's getting better. I don't understand the phone. That's part of that problem.
Starting point is 00:15:39 And then, oh, and then Heather. Heather, Heather has a TikTok and the kid, Kaya, that's right. Kaya the dog. Kaya has not Heather. Not Heather. She edits all of her videos. Yeah. And the dog edits her own videos.
Starting point is 00:15:53 The dog edits all of her videos. And does her own videoing. She's very good. And then your kittens, Tracy's on TikTok. Is everybody on TikTok over there? Yep. I have two accounts. Do you wanna know my handle?
Starting point is 00:16:04 Let's put all the handles on there? Yep. So, do you want to know my my handle? Let's put all the handles on there. Okay. Yeah, Vanessa needs to say it out loud. Okay, say it out loud. It's the Latina next door. Are you kidding me? Did you think it was cool when you did it? Yes. I did. Oh, okay. And then you were like, no. And now she's stuck with it. Wait, mom. That's flipping funny. So the first thing when Vanessa joined TikTok,
Starting point is 00:16:40 she sent me a video about some guy having a affair on his wife. And it was the most graphic Descriptive version of how she found out they were cheat. He was cheating for the record my butt my butt did it My butt but she watched every part of that What are we call episode? What was it like? Like the novella ones where it's like a story. It's like a 10 part story. She sent me part number seven,
Starting point is 00:17:14 and it was about how she found pictures of him in the shower with her doing some naughty things. Very descriptive. Her butt did that, not her. Not her. But she watched them. Your butt should be ashamed of yourself. It should be ashamed. I'm descriptive. I'm but did that not her Your watch should be ashamed of it should be ashamed I think it's because Vanessa watched all the parts series so that's why she was on board Well, for the record, whenever I get to that part, I usually just skip and then I go to the next part
Starting point is 00:17:37 Not knowing that my part would send that exact one to Norma That was the most graphic one out of every. Cause then I watched all the parts. Oh my God. Oh, then she watches it. Yeah, exactly. No self control. Gotta love Norma. And then Norma throws herself.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Thank you Norma for sharing that story. Right, yeah. And then Norma throws herself on there to Bessie. And then I watched it. I watched all of it. She didn't fast forward. Right. Like Vanessa does. Right. Like Vanessa does.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Right. Like a good girl. I know you have to know. Right, cause when you're like on part seven, you're like, how does this story end? Yeah, what did he do? Oh my gosh. And then whenever those parts came,
Starting point is 00:18:16 I just skipped over and I was like, all right, let's find out what happens. This is why we need second Peter one, five through 11. Okay, good. No, no, no, no, I'm just saying. We set the stage. Oh my gosh. No, no, no, I'm just saying. We set the stage. Oh my gosh. No, no, no, we don't need to change it.
Starting point is 00:18:28 Let's, I'm not saying we need to change it. I'm just saying this is the reason why. Right, you set the stage. Literally. Hey, can everybody give, are you reactivating yourself, Sarah? So people on. I've been.
Starting point is 00:18:40 Yeah, we're dropping all the, we'll drop them all. Okay. And you got, you got Heather's though? Yeah. Yeah, I have Heather's. Yeah, we're dropping all the, we'll drop them all. Okay. And you got, you got Heather's though? Yeah. Yeah, I have Heather's. Yeah, so we follow them all. Okay, so does, okay, we'll worry about this later. I'm gonna go somewhere.
Starting point is 00:18:59 I was gonna go somewhere with this, but what? Yeah, I might just do that. Okay. I'm too busy with my. It's ASMR. My cough drop. Even though I don't have a cough, I just love the taste of cough drops.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Really? I don't like them either. I love them. I'm trying to figure them climbing them out. 30 minutes. 30 minutes. Huh. Like two seconds. It's almost done.
Starting point is 00:19:32 Oh, a shot. Okay. I'm done. I wish I got that. I thought you spit it out. I did too. I did too. No, I just a bit down and chomped it.
Starting point is 00:19:40 Okay. Okay. I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. I did too. I did too. No, I just a bit down and chomped it. Okay. Okay. I made a list.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Okay. So in 2 Peter 1 5 through 11, it is very, I mean, I love like I'm, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a preparer, like maybe too much in some things and not enough in other areas of my life. I don't find that I'm that spontaneous and you guys can tell me if you disagree, but I'm not really that spontaneous of a person. So like when I do a project with somebody, I like have my list, but man do I fall in
Starting point is 00:20:30 love with them when I find out that they have their list. That's my love language. I love lists. I do. I think that it's like when I, I'm like Tom, when I do any kind of speaking or even like the podcast, I have bullet points. Like I have, what do they call that Sarah, like when you were doing a book report and the very first thing you were supposed to do when you were doing your book report is you were making it, is that timeline? Outline? Outline.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Is that still what it's called today? From the most part? Yeah. So I love outlines. Yes you do. I love outlines because once you get the outline, you know everything, you know the direction you're going and each item that is gonna be addressed.
Starting point is 00:21:30 But basically the bullet point is always the most important. And if you take 2 Peter 1, 5 through 11, and I asked the girls, I said, now I wanna talk about this, but what I want is like, Tracy's basically gonna put everybody on the screen and we're all gonna talk about this.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Sarah's the only one that did not get the email. My fault, in all honesty. Cause if I would have texted her and said, hey, I'm talking about this. So can you, you know, do your research and prep on it and stuff like that? She'll be fine. But if I would have done my timeline or my outline,
Starting point is 00:22:13 if I would have thought it through, I would have done that like I did with the other girls. Cause I think I'd sent you guys a text saying I just sent you an email. Yeah, he did. Yeah, Sarah didn't get it. So, but basically what I'm going to talk about is 2 Peter 1, 5 through 11 clearly says what a successful walk with God looks like.
Starting point is 00:22:36 And then it tells you what you have to do to get that successful walk. It tells you how to keep it. And I made a list how to grow in it, how to sustain it, and then how to keep it. It tells you, and I made a list, how to grow in it, how to sustain it, and then how to take it into eternity. And you sit there and you might say, well, it won't tell me like, after you do this, you do that. And after you, no, it does.
Starting point is 00:22:54 It literally tells you, in this, if you do that, then you'll get this. And then once you get that, then you go to this. It's super simple, super easy. And my gosh, why I never saw this like this before, I do not know. But it genuinely has helped me. I'm like, I now know the pathway to eternity.
Starting point is 00:23:17 And not only that, I'm like, if I just do these few little things, I'm gonna be successful because that's what it ends up saying. So let's read it. It says, For this very reason, adding your diligence to the... And I did the Amplified Classic, because if you do the Amplified Classic, then it breaks down some of the stuff for you, and literally you don't have to think.
Starting point is 00:23:41 God knows I don't. That's the part I love, not thinking. So, for this very reason, adding your diligence to the divine promises, and did you not know, like, the Word of God is a divine promise. So, and that's how you have to look at it. For this very reason, adding your diligence to the divine promises, employ every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue, which is excellence, resolution, and Christian energy, and in exercising virtue develop knowledge intelligence, which knowledge is intelligence, and in exercising knowledge develop self-control, and in exercising self-control develop steadfastness, which is patient and endurance, and in exercising steadfastness, develop godliness, piety, and in exercising godliness, develop brotherly affection, and
Starting point is 00:24:32 in exercising brotherly affection, develop Christian love. For as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, they will keep you from being idle or unfruitful unto the full personal knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah the Anointed One. For whoever lacks these qualities is blind, spiritually speaking, short-sighted, seeing only what is near to him, and has become oblivious to the fact that he has cleansed, he was cleansed from his old sins. Because of this, brethren, be all the more salacious and eager to make sure, which is to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast your calling and election.
Starting point is 00:25:12 For if you do this, you will never stumble or fall." It's amazing. So if you do that list, you're guaranteed not to lose your salvation. Like you will, yeah., thus there will be richly and abundantly provided for you entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Now, when you guys read that, were you like, holy moly? Like, did you ever see it like that before? Not that part where I was like, wait, you'll never stumble. You're guaranteed. Like pretty good. It's a pretty good promise. That's the one thing that stood out to me
Starting point is 00:25:55 when I was reading this, like never stumble. Like that's huge. And I've always compared this, maybe not this verse, but verses like this to a math equation. Like math equations are perfect, right? If you do one plus one, it's always going to equal two every single time. And so if you do all these things,
Starting point is 00:26:19 it will always equal two, never stumble. It's so good. And the word of God, if you, I just was listening to Kenneth Hagen, on the, shocker, but I was just listening to him on the way into church. And one of the things he was saying, cause he says the same thing and I have stolen it
Starting point is 00:26:46 because I agree with you, Vanessa, that he always says that people look at a math equation like two plus two equals four. And he says, when we look at a math equation that says two plus two equals four, we always know, and we always believe that the answer will always be four. And that no matter how you do it, the truth and the reality of the situation is that two plus two always equals four. So we
Starting point is 00:27:12 never question it, we never, we just believe it. He goes, but we don't do that with healing and why don't we? Because with salvation we do that if we ask for forgiveness of our sin and we repent, we know that salvation is ours. We look at it just like a math equation, but the purchase of salvation was also done at the same time by the stripes that Jesus bore on his back for our healing and we don't look at it as a guarantee like we do two plus two will be guaranteed always to be four we don't look at healing with the same guarantee and one of the things he said today which he said that math equation and one of his teachings and then today he said that, let me see, I literally kept it
Starting point is 00:28:06 because I was gonna play it for you guys because I was like, listen to this, this is crazy, this is just so good. What he said today is when people, when it comes to faith, you never heard like Peter and Paul or John, they didn't say when it came to faith, when people came to salvation, they didn't go and say, do you believe or they received him and they believed in him and they never questioned whether they believed. And he because he said, believers believe. And if you look at the Old Testament, you see, or if you look at,
Starting point is 00:28:49 not the way people look at the scriptures today, but back in biblical times when Jesus, when it was Paul and Peter and John, those people, because they were believers, believed in the Word of God as the truth. And he said, somewhere along the way, we've lost that. And we no longer look at the Word of God, the Bible, as the reality and the truth that it is and the facts that it carries. And I wish I could repeat it exactly the way he said it because the reason why they saw the results they saw
Starting point is 00:29:28 is because people, when they believed, they believed the whole word of God. Whereas today we've lost somewhere through life and through being busy about other things that the word didn't change. It is still real. It is still as powerful. And it is still as much truth as it was then as it is now. But we don't see it as such, because we believe that willy-nilly, if it be His will, which it's always His will,
Starting point is 00:29:58 because it says that in the Lord's Prayer. So for me, if you take the truth, which is the Word of God, and you apply it, the scriptures as it is, and we're going to break down the scriptures, then like you don't have to worry about salvation. You don't have to worry about anything. You're guaranteed. It's just like the math equation that you're talking about, Vanessa. It is going to come out just as two plus two or one plus one equals whatever number that it does, two or four. Does that make sense? So good. So let's break down this. I'm going to take down, I'm going to break down and then we're going to talk about it. I'm going to break down each thing that says, if you do this, then you'll get this, instead of like adding a whole bunch of stuff. So it says, employ every effort in exercising your faith to
Starting point is 00:30:55 develop virtue, and virtue is excellence, resolution, Christian energy. What does that look like? So our faith is the root of our Christian life, correct? So that your faith is who you are. You're going to have faith in something. But when we, our faith is in the word of God, then it is our Christian life. It is our Christian walk. It is everything. I mean, it should be everything. Correct? So when you look at that and you say, exercising faith to develop virtue, what does that look like to you guys? Do you have your notes?
Starting point is 00:31:36 Or do you not wanna use that? Or did you not do anything with that one? Cause it doesn't matter. Virtue means excellence and goodness. So when I read the verse, how I did it was like, what is the successful walk look like? How do you keep it? How do you grow in it?
Starting point is 00:31:51 So for me, like, it's like kind of like an overall thing. For me, it's pray, obey and check your fruit. That's what I do. So praying for me is like constantly in communication with the Lord. When you're constantly in communication with the Lord, as James 1.5 says, if you lack wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given to you. So when you're praying, if you're constantly talking
Starting point is 00:32:12 to God all day, you're asking Him for wisdom, you're asking Him for what you should do, eventually that becomes a real relationship. Eventually you start to understand like who He is and then you start obeying what you hear He's saying. And then when you obey, you check your fruit and you make sure that fruit aligns with exactly what's going on here. So that's kind of like how I saw it. And then I kind of broke it down into like different things that I've done to like, like, for example, when I left my last church, I had to pray about leaving it because it's hard to leave a church. Even if you know you're supposed to go it's really hard.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Because you have relationships. You have relationships and where are you gonna go? Like where am I going? Oh that's true. You know like I didn't know about this church and so all I knew was the river and I'm like I guess and then we're driving two hours then you start thinking logistics but I prayed and God told me that it was time to go and I'm like cool where? Like where are we going? And so and then that it was time to go. And I'm like, cool, where? Like, where are we going? And so, and then after that, I had to obey. My mom was like, go check out this church. And I'm like, I don't know, it's very little. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:12 And then I got there, I checked my fruit, and I was like, whoa, like, but it didn't make sense in my mind because it was too little. Like, it just like- And what you're used to. What I hadn't expected. And we were going to the river. Like, that was the plan. And so, Jared and I kind of like came to an agreement about expected. And we were going to the river, like that was the plan.
Starting point is 00:33:25 And so, Jer and I kind of like came to an agreement about it, like we're just gonna go, we'll just drive up, we'll make it a day in Tampa. Like we already made our decision, but we came to rule this out. And so if I went on my own understanding and I wasn't in conversation with the Lord and wasn't trusting him,
Starting point is 00:33:40 I don't know if I would end up here. Like Jer might've just trusted me and we might've just gone up to the river because he was like, yeah, why not? Let's just go. So I have like a whole list of different things that I've- In that wild, like what would things have been like? And what if your mother hadn't said, go and check?
Starting point is 00:33:54 I know, I don't think I ever would even thought to come. Cause there's like, God would always provide for us, but I look at what you guys bring to the table. And then biblically speaking, uh, what you guys have done and what, well what you've received, I should say. Right. Vice versa. Yeah, exactly. It's just crazy.
Starting point is 00:34:16 Vice versa. I love watching obedience work itself out. One person obeying and then how it affects the next person who obeys. And how it just keeps going down and how like everything falls perfectly in line. Which is so cool. It's really everything to see. It always makes me think of Mary and Joseph. When I think of obedience.
Starting point is 00:34:32 I know. I always think of them because what if, because Adam and Eve are a lack of, are a reaction to disobedience and what our lives look like because of their disobedience. Yeah, the ripple effect. Yeah. disobedience and what our lives look like because of their disobedience. The ripple effect. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:51 And then you look at the effects of obedience, which was Mary and Joseph. I'm sure that we would still have a Messiah because it was biblically written. I'm sure. But what. What their lives did of them forsaking themselves and being obedient, how it affected all of us. And you just sit there and go, like, am I doing that? Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Am I living that out myself? But obedience is a key, because I agree with you, Tia. It's amazing to see what obedience looks like for the lives around it when people do it. Yeah, exactly. And it says, John 14, 15 says, if you love me, obey my commandments.
Starting point is 00:35:31 So that's like, right. I mean, it's lit. And then so then you have to study it out. What are his commandments? Is it just the 10 commandments? Like, so this, the most important thing, and I know Vanessa is gonna say it cause it's her favorite thing in the world,
Starting point is 00:35:43 but the four essentials and part of that's Bible study. If you're not reading your Bible, you're not gonna know him. You can talk to him all you want, but like, are you? But then how do you evaluate your fruit based on what you feel like the Lord told you to do? Does it line up with the word? Because if it doesn't line up the word,
Starting point is 00:36:00 then your prayer is wrong. Whatever you're hearing, because we get it, we miss it. I mean, that's just the way it is. But if it aligns, because we get it, we miss it. I mean, that's the way it is. But if it aligns with the word, then you probably heard it correctly. If it doesn't align with the word, you're not hearing it.
Starting point is 00:36:12 And that's checking the fruit. It has to be biblical. It can't be just, it worked out for you. No, is it biblical? Does it glorify God? Is it honoring God? But yeah, so anyway, so when you gave us the assignment, like mine was more like over. I love how people think so differently though,
Starting point is 00:36:29 because you're always gonna bring something different. And I'd rather, even if I don't go off of what I was doing, it's always interesting. And it's meant that probably somebody needs to hear, it'll probably be a collaborative effort, but I'm just saying sometimes it's just good to hear other people's thoughts and opinions on things and going from there.
Starting point is 00:36:49 Because there's so much value in a different voice. Yeah. So, okay, did you want to add something, Vanessa? Tracy had mentioned, I was going to bring up the four essentials because as I was reading, make every effort in exercising your faith. Well, when you're exercising, right?
Starting point is 00:37:07 It's something that you have to do daily almost to build your muscles. And so we're in this to build our spiritual muscles. And so what are you doing every day? Evaluate what you do everything, what you fill your time. For me is less TikTok. Oh my gosh. But like it is the four essentials. And I, you know, I set up my Bible very specifically
Starting point is 00:37:31 where the, where I, my, my, you know, the first page of my Bible, it's a reminder of the four essentials. And then it's a list of things of who I am in Christ. And it's, I remind myself of that every single morning. And and it's a it's an exercise that I do every day so that I don't stumble you know yeah and so it's it's really it really is important on like examining your daily walk what are you doing every day what are you what are you filling your time with every day?
Starting point is 00:38:05 And if it's not bearing fruit, it's time to prune, right? Absolutely. And so then you kind of like do the work and do it with God and do it with the Holy Spirit and obey. Yeah, yeah. Because also something that I've learned with my walk with the Lord, favor always follows the obedient.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Always. Always, every single time. You cannot, you cannot miss it. You cannot, and even if your act of obedience is wrong, it's the heart behind which you are doing it, and you'll still be blessed even if you miss it because you're actually acting in what you thought was being obedient with the right heart.
Starting point is 00:38:50 A lot of times people will go, I didn't know, you knew. You knew, I mean, we've all done it. We've wanted what we wanted. And then we were like willing to suffer the consequences if we were missing it. You will get the consequences because you won't get the favor. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:07 Because God knows, he knows if you're manipulating. There's no trick in him. Absolutely not. If you're being deceptive, the whole nine, it doesn't work. What you got for me, Sarah? So I love that it starts this whole progression with virtue because if you look at the body of Christ, like that's the, you can go,
Starting point is 00:39:28 yeah, nope, it's not virtuous. On a whole, the body of Christ, not everybody. No, no, no, I know what you mean. In the New Testament, the Greek word is arete, which refers to moral excellence or virtue. It encompasses the idea of living in a way that reflects the highest moral standards and qualities. This term is often associated with the character and conduct that align with God's nature and commands. So for years, I thought I was saved,
Starting point is 00:40:00 but I was still getting drunk and cussing and doing all these things and not living a virtuous life. So this scripture right here, this whole passage, starts with virtue. Like, this is where, like you gotta get this. And then as you were reading through all of them, I could literally go, oh, that's where I am right now. Like I'm working on this, like in between this and that in certain areas of my life, right?
Starting point is 00:40:28 Like with my family, it's self-control right now. I was wondering which one. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my gosh. But yeah, I love that it starts with virtue. Yeah, that's really good. I know, when you said that, I was like,
Starting point is 00:40:43 I wonder which one she's on, but you're right. They kind of like build on top of each other and they keep doing it that way. Yeah, yeah, very good, Sarah. It is so true, Sarah, that's such a great point. I mean, it is such a stinking great point that if you look, you can go through that list and you can find out where you're at
Starting point is 00:41:07 and where you're being successful. Hopefully you're in all of them, but having more successful in success and other, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because- Yeah, in different areas of your life. Like you could be like in your relationships, you're here in your business or your ministry or whatever it is,
Starting point is 00:41:23 like maybe you're over here. And it's constantly changing and flowing and you should be growing, which is what it talks about in the verses before that. Like he's given us all things onto life and godliness. Like we already have all the things, but then Peter says like, but as you continue to mature and get those things that you already have.
Starting point is 00:41:43 Right, right. Exactly. It's so true. It's so true. Oh my gosh. And let's go to the next one. It says, in an exercising virtue, so if you are working in virtue, you'll develop knowledge, which is intelligence, which is wisdom. So you're guaranteed that faith, then virtue, then wisdom. And Lord knows, like that's one of the things I pray for all the time, because wisdom will save you from everything. Yeah, it really will. Wisdom is very helpful. You know what to do and when to do it too. Like the wisdom to know when to do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:26 Cause that's everything. So just simply acting and being a virtuous person takes you straight into developing your knowledge and wisdom. And I would say to people, my stomach's growling. Sorry if you heard that. I would say to people, my stomach's growling, sorry if you heard that, I would say to people that when we're talking to our children, one of the greatest tips someone told me, and it's not because I ever did, you know, not because, kids will, I mean, people will tell
Starting point is 00:43:00 their kids, and I would dare say it's hopefully not Christians, but a lot of times people will tell their children, you're not smart, you're stupid, or that was stupid, or but they're meaning like their decision was stupid, or it's not a, it's very derogatory in how you're speaking to your child about being an intellectual person. Like they'll call their kids dumb. I mean, you guys know what I'm talking about? Because like I've even heard Christians say it. They'll tell their kids they're dumb or they're stupid or whatever. If you're teasing and you're joking around, I'm not talking to you. I mean, because we've all said, well, that was stupid.
Starting point is 00:43:43 But that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about where you're making your child feel belittled and feel like they're inadequate in their level of intelligence. Yeah. That's not wise. Even if like, so I'll give you an example. When my kids were young and they would make a dumb decision,
Starting point is 00:44:04 they would do something very like stupid. What I would what I would almost always say to them was, is that wise? Or did you use wisdom in that decision? Because the thing is, is if you take an somebody that I didn't have a high level of respect for at all. But in this one case, that's why I always say, even if you don't really like somebody or respect them very much, you still can learn from pretty much anybody. True that.
Starting point is 00:44:34 So don't ever think that you're above anyone or anything because somebody could say something that has got some intelligence behind it and they can offer you something with your life. So one of the things that they said is, and they learned it from a Christian child-rearing book themselves, they said they never said that to their kids because Solomon used wisdom. And really that's what we're all supposed to be looking to have. You're not supposed to be intellectually intelligent or to be smart or above the pay grade of you know, you know a
Starting point is 00:45:14 Genius or whatever where to have wisdom and that's what we're told to have So but if you act in wisdom most of the time people are gonna think well that person's smart godlyly wisdom is huge so that's one of the things I would always say to my kids is did you use wisdom in that decision or was that wise? Take it back to the Bible and a lot of times that's way better than saying that was dumb. Yeah I agree. My kids thought the word stupid was a swear for a really long time. Not mine. I live in the house with Tom. So we always, like I always said foolish. And so that was something that we did earlier on because I don't like when people call people stupid.
Starting point is 00:45:54 Like now it's like we're all older and you can tell, but like, I guess like when you have like a child that has like a harder time learning than her twin sister, they always feel stupid, you know, they just don't feel as smart because they're literally comparing themselves to somebody that's identical to them, you know, not looks, but like same age, born the same day. So we just always said, well, I didn't.
Starting point is 00:46:16 I was like, was that wise or was that really foolish? Cause that looked really foolish to me. So they literally thought stupid was a swear word forever. And then one day they're like, stupid is swear word? I was like, not really. No, it's not. But no, I agree. Like, and you know, when you watch somebody's like demeanor and you say, like, that was really stupid. You can tell if it's like tearing them down. And then you maybe just like for a check, like, what, like, are you building influence over I'm all about building influence over people, not for any personal gain, but I like encouraging people. I like, and when you sow that seed, guess what happens?
Starting point is 00:46:50 It comes right back to you. So I'm all about building up people and then correcting people. And there's a right way to do it. There's a way to do it in love. And it might not feel like love to you, but you can tell again, when you say it to somebody, the way they respond, usually you can tell like,
Starting point is 00:47:05 I did the best I could, that's the nicest way I could have said it. And they respond however they respond. That's you, there's nothing you can do about that. You can't, you can't. But if you try and like, you're not just like flipping about it, you like, God honors that. You know.
Starting point is 00:47:20 Yeah, and you know, you do. You know. Yep. Go ahead, Vanessa, what are you gonna say? I was just gonna mention that when my kids were little, I would always ask them about the seed that they just planted. Was that a good seed?
Starting point is 00:47:30 What if they got caught in doing something or saying something? Was that good seed? What kind of fruit is that gonna produce right there? Is it gonna be good fruit that you wanna eat? Yeah. Because you're gonna eat the fruit of your words. Oh yeah. Is that good fruit or is that some sour fruit that you wanna eat? Yeah. Cause you're gonna eat the fruit of your words. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Is that good fruit or is that some sour fruit? So true. So that's how I kind of, I need to bring it back actually. Now that there's a danger. You're like, this is a really good idea. Yeah, I like it. I have to bring that back.
Starting point is 00:47:57 That can last forever. Oh yeah. That's so good. Cause whatever you put in the ground, whether it be words or actions or indeed, whatever you put in that ground is coming up. It's coming up. It's the way it is. Yep. And you may not like what comes up, but you planted. You did it. You're the one who planted it. You're the farmer. And there's consequences. There are. The seed that you sow. Yep. There are. 100%. Sarah? So, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Starting point is 00:48:27 And I think that it's important to note that when we have the fear of the Lord, we act in virtue because we don't want to step outside the boundaries of what He's set. So when we have that virtue, that's why the next thing that comes is knowledge because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Right. Yep. Which I mean, what great guarantee. I know.
Starting point is 00:48:53 I mean, who doesn't wanna have knowledge? Who doesn't wanna be wise? I mean, so if you're walking in these things, there's guarantees. I love guarantees. That's good. And Lord knows you can never be too smart. You can never have too much intelligence.
Starting point is 00:49:14 You never can because there's always something for me. I always say, well, you should always be trying to level up. Always going to that. I mean, if you've done sales, you should always be trying to level up, always going to that. I mean, if you've done sales, you know, you're always leveling up to the next goal, to the next whatever they've set as the standard. And so that means oftentimes, you can't do the thing that you did before,
Starting point is 00:49:44 cause that only got you to this level. You have to get to the next one. So what, how do I do that? Which requires wisdom, intelligence, knowledge, and that gets you to the next place. A lot of times people don't think about it. What were you gonna say? Self-control. That's the next one. Which is- The next one. If you develop knowledge, if you exercise, if you're exercise your knowledge,
Starting point is 00:50:13 you're gonna then have to develop your self-control. Yep. And that's- That's a hard one. That's a hard one, because that means like maybe you shouldn't say everything that pops into your head. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:26 And bridle your mouth. Yeah. You know, that's something that I, you know, the Lord is walking me through. Not every thought has to be shared. It's true. Really? Yeah, I know. Hope.
Starting point is 00:50:39 Wow. Sure about that? I know. I asked you at GPT. Oh, that's what I'm talking about. Here we go. Hope. Let's hear it. I asked chat GPT. Oh, that's what I'm talking about. Here we go. Let's hear it. Which I'm laughing about.
Starting point is 00:50:49 I was laughing. I asked chat GPT, what is self-control? Okay. It says self-control is the ability to manage one's impulses, emotions, and behaviors to achieve long-term goals. Wow. That's good.
Starting point is 00:51:05 That's like, dang, chat GPT. Never misses. I literally was shocked. I was like, that's really good. Yeah, it's true. Well, especially for what we're doing right now. Yeah, no, that's great. For sure.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Is Grook, is that Elon Musk's thing? Yeah. Okay, so whatever, it's Grok. I think it's rock. It's rock. So Aaron asked it if Jesus is the only way and if Christianity is the only true real religion. And it was like, yes, like it is the only way.
Starting point is 00:51:34 And he asked like, cause he didn't want it to be based on Aaron's like, how he stands. So he was- His algorithms? Yeah. So he asked it in a way that it would like wouldn't be based on his like page and it still said the exact same
Starting point is 00:51:52 answer that Jesus is the only way awesome grock kills all right all right we switch into grotten I know hey that is pretty crazy that That's wild. Yeah. But if you think about that, having to control your impulses on all things. All things. Yeah. Why do you look so bothered by it? Because I like my impulses sometimes and they're not always the nicest. But I've learned,
Starting point is 00:52:32 like self control is probably been one of the hardest things in all truth and all fact. Um, self control has probably been one of the hardest things that I've had to like learn to do. Yeah. It's not, I mean, because it literally is your tongue. It's how you feel. It's everything.
Starting point is 00:52:57 It is. Yep. Your face. It's carnal. It's yeah, I mean, seriously, you know, you cannot make, which I made so many faces and that I didn't even know I was doing them anymore. Yeah. I would literally make a face and people, you know,
Starting point is 00:53:18 later on people would be like, what did that facial expression mean? I'd be like, what are you talking about? I didn't make a face. And after a while, like at first they were like, oh, I thought you made a face. I'm like, I didn't make a face. But after a while, you hear it enough from people.
Starting point is 00:53:34 Exactly, check your throat. It's probably you making the face and you don't know you're making it anymore because you're so used to making it. Yeah, absolutely. The face comes from a thought. You know what I mean? Like there's definitely a thought happening
Starting point is 00:53:47 before the face comes out. Typically. Yeah, but a lot of times you're so, it's such a bad habit that the habit just happens and you're just like, that's what I normally do when somebody says something like that to me. That's my normal facial, that's my normal response, that's my normal response
Starting point is 00:54:05 to that whatever. Yeah. And my facial expressions obviously were not very nice. Otherwise, if they're nice, nobody's gonna say, oh, that's, what's that face for? Yeah, exactly. But what are you thinking of before the face happens? But a lot of times you no longer think,
Starting point is 00:54:23 a lot of times you no longer think about it because it's become a habit of when I feel this way or when somebody tells, gives me this response, this is my response to that response. You just, you don't even think like a lot of times people make statements that are, they'll say things like we become in a habit of like, when somebody says, hi, you say hi. You're not thinking about saying hi,
Starting point is 00:54:46 you just say hi, does that make sense? So there's not a lot of thought process before when somebody says hi, what should I say? Oh, I'll say hi back, you're not thinking of that, you're like, okay, that irritated me, so guess what? I guess I give that face, but you're not really like, when you're a person that's, let me say it like this.
Starting point is 00:55:09 Cause I do think when somebody says hi, I'm like, what am I going to say? Oh, I don't think about that at all. Okay. So, okay. So when you're a person like me, yeah, I'll phrase it like this. When you're a person like me, a lot of times if somebody makes a facial expression to you until you become sensitive about your facial expressions, okay, you don't think a lick about it because you're like, whatever, I don't care. That's the God's honest truth. Because when I grew up, I grew up in the DC area. People have something to say, people have something, a response to everything, whether it be verbally or through the facial expression.
Starting point is 00:55:52 You just begin to be like, I don't care. It doesn't bother me. And you tune that out. Thomas says I'm soulless. Well, in some ways he's probably right because I don't really care about a lot of things. And like a lot of people can say a lot depending on who it is and with the value that they have in my life that makes a huge difference for me if you
Starting point is 00:56:13 have no value to me in my life you could probably pretty much say whatever you want to say and do whatever you want to do and I don't give a fly-and-flip because you hold no value so you mean mean nothing to me. But when you start, when somebody that's a value to you start saying, what does that facial expression mean? And then you care about them. Then you realize, okay, I must be doing this. And before you didn't care. So it's just, it's just a natural reaction. And then you're like, now you're thinking about it because you're having to stop it. And then when somebody does it to you
Starting point is 00:56:50 that you have value to value with, you're like, I don't like that. But before then it's like, I don't care. So you don't care. Like you don't even think about it. I don't know if that makes sense to people, but if you're a person that doesn't have a lot of emotions and feelings about being offended or hurt,
Starting point is 00:57:11 it's not that I don't have emotions and feelings. Listen, I have emotions and I will give them to you if need be, but I mean, like I will, but on the whole- You're not easily triggered. I'm not. You're not, it's just, you're not easily triggered. I'm not. You're not. It's just, you're not. Unless you are certain people,
Starting point is 00:57:28 Right, right, right. And there's three of them, there's three of them that really can trigger me. Yeah. But outside of those three people, doesn't bother me that. Yeah. And Heather's laughing cause she's one of them.
Starting point is 00:57:39 Most people are triggered very easily. Like a little bad luck. You didn't say hi to me at church. It's like people are triggered because they're looking to be offended. You're not looking to be offended. And so you just don't get triggered as easily. You're just too busy doing whatever hope's doing in there.
Starting point is 00:57:55 Whatever is going on in there. Yeah, that's true. Sometimes I'm like, my head's so full. I'm like, I don't even pay attention to people. And it's not like I'm trying to be rude. It's just, you get in a zone and like, I'm thinking about things. So yeah, I might not even notice.
Starting point is 00:58:09 Some of it might not be that I'm not easily offended. It might be, I just don't notice to be offended. But on the whole, I think that's why you don't think about it, Sarah. Like for a person like me, like Heather's very similar to me, but Heather, sometimes like if you would make a facial expression to people, were you thinking, I'm processing this facial expression because it's based on what somebody said to me?
Starting point is 00:58:30 Or did it just, like, come out? I think for me, it's me. I'm in my head, I'm processing. She's in her head, she's processing. And her face, her face, when she makes a facial expression, it's not towards the person, it's the processing of what she's thinking. Right.
Starting point is 00:58:49 And it's just not coming out the way. But mine wasn't because I was processing. Right, it's different. Hers is always that she's processing. Vanessa, what about you? Because sometimes you give a stank look. I'm always processing. No, you're just like, you're blank. Norma's saying, my face is blank. Vanessa, what about you? Cause sometimes you give a stank look. I'm always processing.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Norma saying my face is blank and angry face and tone, which I don't realize. Well, I listen. Because. They're saying, which Norma and Heather trigger me but it's my son. Those are the three people that can send me right over the edge. Since we're out there. which Norma and Heather trigger me, it's my son, those are the three people that can send me right over the edge. Since we're out there, let's just throw it off.
Starting point is 00:59:30 But here's the thing, in all transparency, it's like I gave birth to two and I felt like I gave birth to the third. She's basically, yeah. Yeah, so literally they're like my birth children. Okay, so they easily trigger me, like my birth children. Okay, so they easily trigger me, but I have worked diligently hard to change it
Starting point is 00:59:50 because I want good relationship. But also fasting, I'm telling you, I've always fasted, but I have purposed in my fast, which I think when you purpose in your fast, specifically for certain things, then God's just going to bring them bring it to you. I mean Sarah knows because Sarah like you have fasted specific things. So I'm looking at her I'm like she will totally understand what I'm saying. Hopefully you do too, but
Starting point is 01:00:18 you guys who are watching. But when I knew I needed to weed certain things out of my life, those are the things that I was fasting over. You should never just fast to fast. I mean, I guess it's okay, but there should be purpose behind it. And God should be telling you, you're gonna fast and you're getting rid of this crap. Cause I mean, people will try and say, well, you've mellowed.
Starting point is 01:00:39 I have not mellowed, trust me. This girl does not mellow. What I have done is said that can't be in your life anymore. And also pulling things like doing too much sometimes makes you be a certain way. So I've pulled, I've been able to eliminate some things out of my life to make me a better person. But those things could never have stayed
Starting point is 01:01:02 and God would have never allowed it because that's not healthy either Yep, but we're gonna say Sarah and then we'll carry on look we're gonna close out and we'll carry on with this on Friday Because we still got a lot more of the chapter to go. Yeah, but verse to go go ahead I think that when it comes to taking thoughts captive, I specifically keep hearing that over and over like sometimes we don't even realize the sheer volume of thoughts that are happening in our mind and I agree given time and so to take those thoughts captive sometimes it's
Starting point is 01:01:35 like you need help yeah the Holy Spirit you can't you one comes by and then you're like oh I gotta that's not I gotta bring this in obedience to Christ and you're like wait that one over, I gotta, that's not, I gotta bring this in obedience to Christ. And then you're like, wait, that one over there, I gotta, that's not a good one. And so that's why we have to be still and we have to try and like meditate on the word and take those thoughts captive and bring them in obedience to Christ.
Starting point is 01:01:58 And it's also why it says remain in me. Yeah. It's so like, it's so important. Okay. Both of those things. So important to make sure you're applying and your everyday life minute by minute, second by second, if it's even that minuscule. This morning, I was meditating on some scriptures
Starting point is 01:02:23 and opposite of what I was meditating on, two thoughts came in to my head and I literally and I'd had to do it last night I literally said out loud no no I literally talked to that thought yeah yeah because it's not coming from a place of holiness. It's coming from a place of fear, which God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love and of a sound mind. And if that thought is not of a sound mind,
Starting point is 01:03:01 and it brings about fear or confusion, it is not from him. And you gotta like, you gotta get rid of it. And for me, I talk to it. Like you're gone, you out. Bye bye. Yeah, you bye bye. You have to go.
Starting point is 01:03:16 Cause if you're not from him, then it's anti-Christ. And I want nothing to do with that. And even more powerful than that too. Like I do, I'll say like I'll be like, nope. And people in my family will be like, what are you talking to? Nobody's even doing anything. I'm like, that's just for me.
Starting point is 01:03:36 Then if you can catch whatever the vein of that thought and attack it out loud with the scripture that goes against that, then that's spiritual warfare. Like whatever that thought is attack it out loud with the scripture that goes against that, then that's spiritual warfare. Like whatever that thought is that just came in. Okay, so I'm going to say, nope. But then I'm also going to tell you, this is what the truth is. This is what the word spirit is doing battle for you.
Starting point is 01:03:57 And then you'll find maybe a couple of times that that thought will try to rear its ugly head again. But if you keep coming at it with the word, then it's annihilated, like it's gone. 100%. Amen. 100% agree. Anybody wanna finish on that thought?
Starting point is 01:04:15 I would say the only thing, I've known some people that have struggled with invasive thoughts, and sometimes they're trying to figure out, where do they come from? Why am I having them? The Bible's clear, it says, we demolish arguments and every pretension
Starting point is 01:04:26 that sets itself up against the knowledge of God and we take their thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. It doesn't say you need to figure out where it's from, you don't need to figure out the root, you don't like you don't have to and especially if you're the type of person that like I have to know why this happens. You don't, you really don't have to know. You don't have to. That's when you just say nope nope, that's not biblical. That's not in the word. And so no, just know that that has to be good enough for you.
Starting point is 01:04:49 And eventually freedom comes from that. You don't have to be, cause it's kind of controlling. It's kind of like a control freak thing. You don't have to know. You can just say, nope, that's not for me. Analytical mindset in somebody who battles obsessive compulsive. who battles obsessive compulsive. I usually find people who are those two things,
Starting point is 01:05:10 always they never shut their mind off. They're always analyzing everything. But a lot of times they are analyzing everything because they're obsessive and compulsive about it. And that's not good. No. And Satan will have a field day with you. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:27 Cause you're a slave to those thoughts. You can't get them under control. So they just run wild. Yes. And you just make them obedient to Christ. I know what the scripture is. If you get something that's yucky and you're like, no, that's not biblical.
Starting point is 01:05:37 Find out what the Bible does say about it. Just like Sarah was saying, you just keep speaking it. You make it obedient to Christ, make it obedient to the word. And I love what Pastor Jonathan says. He says that the mind is a terrible master and it will. You'll be a slave to it or it will be a slave to you. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:57 And he didn't say that part. He just said that the mind is a terrible master. But at the end of the day, that's what he is saying. Cause you'll be a slave to it or it'll be a slave to you. Own your mind. Own your mind. Exactly. All right guys.
Starting point is 01:06:11 Oh, lookie here. Lastly, okay. So that's it. Hey, it's hope01. So make sure you go follow her. These are her newest TikToks. Go like share. If you work your way from the bottom up,
Starting point is 01:06:24 that actually is very helpful with algorithms. So if you repost it first and then you save it and then you comment and then you like it, that actually helps. So if you're like a true Hope Hotline fan, that's what you'll do for us. But yeah, go. Like start to follow all of us because I think that-
Starting point is 01:06:44 They're all in there. Yeah, they're all in the chat. But follow all of us because I think that... They're all in there. Yeah, they're all in the chat. But follow all of us, because I think one of the things it's fun to do is like, we love, I mean, I love when people tell me they watch the whole pot line. Yeah, me too. I absolutely love it.
Starting point is 01:06:57 And it blesses me, it blesses me. But it's a nice way to like, a lot of times it's nice getting to know one another, even though you can't live in my house and I can't live in your house, right? But I love, like I will love watching Sarah's Lives because I think they're funny as crap. They're just so freaking funny.
Starting point is 01:07:16 And Vanessa, Lord knows you never know what she is potentially going to do. True. Or say- I love a gadget. She does. Or say, or sponsor. And here's the thing, like, like Sarah sells Arbonne. Isn't it Arbonne? Okay. Well, here's the thing. You don't necessarily have to buy Arbonne, but what I will tell you is like, if you watch her stuff a lot of times, you don't know what you don't know. She shares a lot of good health information.
Starting point is 01:07:46 She shares great information about cooking or like for me, like the protein balls, that's what turned me on to protein balls is Sarah had a really good one. She brought it, but I used to watch her make them. And I was like, I love these. I can eat this all day long. It's a, actually it is a better alternative
Starting point is 01:08:10 to the junk that I eat. And it was one of the stepping stones that, and she doesn't even know that, but it was one of the stepping stones that actually made me go, maybe if I add this and take away this, then it's a better healthier choice. And it helped me get to macros, watching what I eat and doing macros.
Starting point is 01:08:27 So it's the little things that can lead to bigger things, but it's all of us kind of watching us instead of like following crap, follow things that add to your life. And that's one of the reasons why I'm doing this is because I think it's fun, but it's healthy and it's not watching a bunch of crap. Right.
Starting point is 01:08:46 Okay Sarah what were you gonna say? I try to add value and that's what I talk about being a producer on social media as opposed to just a consumer only. Adding value to people's lives. I gotta shout out my girl Eden because she said she's adding value because that's what we do. If someone's you know wanting to change something about their lifestyle I'll start with like, well, I think I did this to Talia. I was like, so how much water are you drinking? She's like, probably not a lot.
Starting point is 01:09:14 So here's a free app that you can use to track your water intake. Now I'm not making any money off of that, but I'm trying to add value to people. And that when you add value to people, it increases your platform and your ability to speak into others' life. And when they have a question or something is going on
Starting point is 01:09:33 and they don't know spiritually speaking, they'll reach back out to me and be like, hey, you helped me with this other thing. So what do you think about this? Which makes you have trust in somebody. And then when you are ready to invest in maybe what they have, you'll be like, I trust them.
Starting point is 01:09:51 I will go to them in whatever capacity that means. And for me, spiritually speaking, I would love to gain the trust so that when you're ready to either get saved or grow in your walk, that I'm a voice that you're willing to listen to. Because I think what we have to offer has got great value. And so for me, big picture.
Starting point is 01:10:14 And it's way bigger than like where it is right now. And it'll just multiply from there. And I will say that about every single girl that's on the peanut gallery and Norma and Heather, they all have businesses, but I can, and Natalie, who is our nurse practitioner, she's one too. Everybody is willing to give of themselves without having a dollar value put on it because that's being Christ-like. And that's putting people first before putting you first.
Starting point is 01:10:53 And those people are easy to believe in, trust in and invest in. And that's really what the big picture is all about. So, and letting us S investing in you guys and whatever capacity that looks like too. So, cause everybody has a value and to the degree their value is usable as a whole nother thing.
Starting point is 01:11:15 Right, true. So, I mean, you could have value, but it might be so small that it's negligible. Work on that. Yeah, absolutely. So that you can be used. Correct. Okay, sponsor time and then we are done.
