Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello and welcome to the Hope Hotline. Thank you for joining us today. It is Friday. It's gonna be a great weekend, except for the fact that we lose one hour. Whatever, this is the best time ever. It's gonna be later, out, longer. We have differing opinions on this. Very different. They're happy to get more sunlight.
Starting point is 00:00:40 I'm happy to be losing the hour. I'm unhappy to be losing the hour. It's like the worst day of the year. It's my favorite day of the year. Even with losing an hour of sleep. Yes. Knowing that it's gonna be dark, I mean, brighter out longer.
Starting point is 00:00:53 I know that really makes me in a good mood. It does. Like, even though I'm tired, I'm like, but it's gonna be bright out till like almost eight o'clock. Just the thought of that. Beautiful. No. I mean, post in the comments. I would love to know people's opinions. It's almost eight o'clock. Just the thought of that. Beautiful. No.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Post in the comments. I would love to know people's opinions. I know me and Heather's opinion is we don't like it, but that's a shocker. Oh, she's my clone. That's my spitting image right there. Is it because you lose an hour of sleep? We both like it dark earlier. Why?
Starting point is 00:01:23 Poor Tal's got the hiccups. Yeah, why? Because we, first of all, everything's calms down. I do like it dark earlier. Why? Yeah. Poor Tal's got the hiccups. Yeah, why? Why? Because we, first of all, everything calms down. People's lives start chilling out. We do like it light earlier in the day. Do you chill out?
Starting point is 00:01:36 Well, okay. Okay. But everybody comes in. Okay, you're to get closer in proximity. Yeah. Okay. Like I just prefer it. I just prefer a darker early.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Kristen's with you too. Yep. I love you. Go figure. I love you. No offense. I just like, I- Where does sunshine people? I know. That's maybe that's what it is.
Starting point is 00:01:57 The sunshine people like more sunshine. Tell you, what about you? She doesn't know. I don't know. Oh my God. I really don't. I don't think. Oh my God. I really don't. I don't think I care. The neutral.
Starting point is 00:02:07 Shocker. She's saying winding down is easier. I'm a warning person. So does that make a difference? That's where it's crazy that you like, you prefer because it gets lighter earlier. Right now. Now.
Starting point is 00:02:23 Right. Right. You're gonna be in the dark when you get up. It's gonna be a problem. Cause you go to bed in at eight. So what does it matter to you? Yes. You don't even know that the lights are on at nine o'clock. I like what I like.
Starting point is 00:02:38 I mean, it's daylight outside at nine o'clock. You're asleep in your bed with your mask on. At least I'm tucking. I'm not asleep, but I'm tucked in for sure. Right, yeah. So, okay, what difference does it make to you then? I don't know. I just, the thought of it being light outside
Starting point is 00:02:51 just makes me like so happy inside. I agree. It should be a problem because that means that you can't. I'm very complex. Oh my gosh. I just think you're twinsy and so. Yeah, I don't know. Oh my gosh. I just think you're twinsy. And so, yeah, I don't know. I've always been that way.
Starting point is 00:03:10 You've liked it getting darker later. Yeah. Always. Yeah. Have you always gone to bed super early? But I've always wanted a longer day. You're not awake for a longer day. Honestly, I think I go to bed earlier when there's no sun out. So it I think I go to bed earlier when there's no sun out.
Starting point is 00:03:26 So it forces me to go into bed earlier. So when there's daylight outside, I'm like more productive in the evenings. I think that's what it is. Yeah. Okay. Because you're not gonna go to bed as early. Right, I go down with the sun. I go down with the sun.
Starting point is 00:03:42 This is all making sense now, I get it. I had to work through it. You did, you just had a process. And listen, get this. So what's gonna happen is when we're in the dead of summer, it doesn't get dark until 9.30. I'm calling her. Do it.
Starting point is 00:03:58 I'm gonna call her. And I'm gonna pick up. Not at 9.30, you're not. We'll find out. That'll be a TikTok. Stay tuned. Not at 9.30 you're not. We'll find out. That'll be a TikTok. Stay tuned. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:04:12 Stay tuned. That's the one that's gonna go viral. I'm doing the marketing on that. Exactly. That's the one. I don't know what I was gonna say. Outside of that, so make sure Saturday night, I was telling them my little trick. Yeah, I was gonna say outside of that. So make sure Saturday night, I was telling them my little trick.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Yeah, I was gonna say, you wanna tell them? My little trick is around noon o'clock. Noon o'clock. Noon o'clock. I turn the clocks forward, well in this, I'm gonna spring forward on this. I move everything forward. So I know I've lost the hour already. So at noon o'clock, it's really one o'clock. So mentally, I've lost the hour already. So at noon
Starting point is 00:04:45 o'clock, it's really one o'clock. So mentally, I'm already there. Yeah. And then you told us the news that about daylight savings time in the future. Oh, yeah, Trump's not doing nothing he threatened to. He's not doing it anymore. He's, he's laying that to rest. Because he said that 50% of people wanted to stay and 50% of people wanted to go. So when it's 50-50, he does nothing.
Starting point is 00:05:14 That's smart. So nothing's happening. Yeah. Just gonna keep on. I'm kind of happy about that. I mean, I guess everybody who likes it day their days longer. Yeah. Mm-hmm. They were winning and I was losing. So as long as I win half the time
Starting point is 00:05:31 and I lose half the time, I'm okay with that. I'm not okay with losing all the time now. Oh my gosh. That would have been a problem. I feel that. I love you too much. It's cold outside. What in the world?
Starting point is 00:05:44 I was so cold this morning. Same. What is that? I don't know. I thought we turned a corner. I know, but March is unreliable. No, I'm glad. I'm glad.
Starting point is 00:05:55 I really wanted, I don't want it to be hot just yet. It doesn't be hot, but can't we just have our normal like 75 degrees? High of 80. Yeah, like just around there. Is it 60 today? It was 46 this morning. Oh, it was so cold.
Starting point is 00:06:09 I know. I felt how many firm chicken's. No, it's 77, it's 76 right now, but it was 45 for low this morning. Yeah, that was cold. It was a little too much. It was cold. I was shivering.
Starting point is 00:06:19 This isn't New England, absolutely not. It's so cold. It's like snowing up there. It probably is. What the heck? Is it snowing somewhere? Probably. I thought I saw Kaylee's story the other day and it was snowing outside.
Starting point is 00:06:32 Kaylee. Then it was like 55 the next day. Kaylee. Yeah. Oh, yeah Kaylee. Oh, gotcha. In Massachusetts. Oh my.
Starting point is 00:06:42 I know. I saw snow on her, and I't know, I on her TikTok. I saw snow. Yeah. In the background. Yeah. She's doing a really good TikTok for women that are like in a certain stage in life. Yeah. Yep. It's really good. She's got good content on that TikTok. She's inviting God in her meals, right? Right. And taking that approach. Yeah, but you know what the thing is, is I think like, what is she, what, 32?
Starting point is 00:07:16 31, 32? Yeah, probably something like that. She's a youngin'. She's 20, 30, 31. But if you listen to what she says, like a lot of people her age group and her age bracket aren't as wise with some of their thought processes. True.
Starting point is 00:07:33 And so if you're a young mom, she's really speaking good stuff to you, like to contemplate on and to think through, which in that stage of life, usually you're just so busy being a mom that you don't focus on yourself. And what does that look like in being the best you, you can be through the Lord
Starting point is 00:07:54 and also taking care of yourself, spiritually speaking and physically speaking. And she's really hitting on that. And I love that. She's like 20 weeks along, right? Yeah. I mean, she's even like fourth baby, looks fantastic. I know.
Starting point is 00:08:11 And just so full of grace and like, that girl. You know, I don't mean this in a derogatory way, okay? But usually people that are as pretty as she is and as sweet as she is, usually when they're that pretty, they're not that nice. Do you know what I'm saying? I do, yeah, I do.
Starting point is 00:08:32 She better hold that baby in. But she's like, I know. I told her, I told her. She's got a lot going on for her. She does, she really is. She's so, I'm so blessed to have her as a sister-in-law. She is, and she's always growing in her as a person. Yeah, and so, yeah, so of course with her walk with God,
Starting point is 00:08:51 but like she knew she had things that she had to work on. And so that's kind of what she's talking about here. Yeah, I remember you talking to me about it. And she, I think when she came down for the twins graduation, she was talking to me about that. So, you know, it's beautiful when somebody looks at themselves so honestly. And the thing is, I say this often,
Starting point is 00:09:10 it's one thing to know that there are things in your life that you must change. And it's another thing to be honest about those things, recognize them and progress in changing versus people who are very honest about themselves and do nothing. Do nothing, I know. And make excuses like, well, that's just the way that I am. That's just who I am.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Like, ugh, I hate that. Cause like, yeah, we all have stuff that we're, that's just the way we are, but like, don't. Do something about it. Do you like that? Like, I don't know. Yeah. And she had to overcome, she had to overcome some stuff
Starting point is 00:09:43 because finding out she was pregnant was not high on the list for her. Very low. But the thing is, is when you, the Lord must've thought it was. Right. Oh yeah, no. This is gonna be a special little baby.
Starting point is 00:10:00 So processing that and accepting it, not because you have to accept it, but accepting it because it's what the Lord wants, then that's what you do. Yep, it's true. It's a beautiful thing. And make the best of it like she is right now. Yeah, and doing something awesome too on this.
Starting point is 00:10:19 I mean, I don't know, she's like a little Proverbs 31 woman. She really is. Yes, that's exactly like pops in my brain. Cause she has a side gig where she works, but she's still mom first. She honors her husband. She's a beautiful wife.
Starting point is 00:10:33 And then- I know her hair. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Her hair is fantastic. Takes great care of herself, but also her family. Yeah. It's a great thing, man. It's a great thing.
Starting point is 00:10:44 So yeah. Hey, can you put in the. It's a great thing. So yeah. Hey, can you put in the comments? I did. You did? Okay. Cause I'm telling you for mamas, I enjoy watching it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:53 I enjoy watching it. And I'm past all of that. But again, you can never stop learning. It's true. Yeah. It's in case you're not in the comments or you're missing it. It's just Kaylee, K-Y-L-K-A-Y-L-E-I-G-H.Johnson8
Starting point is 00:11:10 and she's on TikTok. So if you look in the comments or in the live stream, it's in there, but yeah, she's doing a great job and follow her, follow her. Follow us all. It's a great chance to like, if you feel like, most people don't have a pulpit to preach in, but social media is a great,
Starting point is 00:11:27 we were just talking about this on the, we were in Tampa this morning, but on the way back, we were talking about how social media is a great opportunity to share your faith. Really is. Social media usually is such crap, but it can be a fantastic outlet as well for biblical things, spiritually speaking,
Starting point is 00:11:52 sharing your faith, discipling people, helping people to recognize that there is a higher calling. They don't know maybe it's God, but you can, you know, a lot of people think that there's a higher calling, they don't understand what any of that means, but then you can reveal who Jesus Christ is through the whole entire thing. there's a higher calling, they don't understand what any of that means, but then you can reveal who Jesus Christ is through the whole entire thing. And then they're like, oh, that's what that is. I mean, it's just like, people are delusioned. And you have access to so many people.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Right. Through. You will never meet them. Exactly. It's modern day evangelism. Yep. Through the ease of just. Right, and like you were saying to us,
Starting point is 00:12:24 is like it really, how much time does it take up for you to just sit and do a video? And if it's spirit led, like, what if it changes one person's whole walk, whole day? Like they're looking for a sign and they just need like a little bit of encouragement. And they're just scrolling. They're just scrolling and then they come across the video.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Like, I just, I don't know. Well, if you think about it, like I've heard great men of God that spent money on airtime for TV, right? True, yeah. And in the middle, like they're on in the middle of the night when it doesn't cost maybe as much for their broadcast to be done.
Starting point is 00:13:00 And in the middle of the night, somebody who is contemplating suicide, seriously contemplating it, your show comes on or your program comes on, and the Holy Spirit speaks directly to them through that. That's what this is. It's no different. This is what social media is. A one-minute or two-minute video can transform somebody. I mean, it happens, you hear stories about that from men of God who spent the money, you just ain't even costing it. Right, right, exactly.
Starting point is 00:13:33 That's powerful to know that you might have that much of an effect on somebody's life, where they went to the Lord and they were not living for him or they were contemplating things that you hope no one does. Right, and we talk about it all the time. We complain about everybody on their phones. So do something about it, get on the phone. And while they're scrolling at night, miserable,
Starting point is 00:13:56 be the one that pops up, be prayerful about it, pray. You never know. Yeah, because you might just have the right message. So, and the thing is this too, for me, like, the scripture says laughter is, a merry heart is good medicine. Laughter is like, if you can be funny and you can bring joy instead of people moaning, groaning, complaining or whatever, it can be very, very good. One of the things I love is me and Tom love watching the comedians that come on social
Starting point is 00:14:26 media. We just sit there and laugh and laugh and laugh. So bring laughter to somebody. Absolutely. Bring joy. Yes. You want to do your thing? I do. All righty. So if you are on Facebook on any of the pages, we have it going live on the whole
Starting point is 00:14:42 pot line, but also on Foundation Church. Please like and share and then comment. We want to know what you guys are who's there where you're watching from. I see Millie on right now, Long Island, New York, aka Hampton, North Fork. Okay. Also, she wants to know, Hope, did you borrow those hoops from Adalice? No, I've had these for a really long time. Like, they're like DC hoops from a dollas. No, I've had these for a really long time. Like they're like DC hoops. Yeah. Well, I didn't get them in DC, but I've had hoops. I mean, yeah, you're a hoop girl.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Well, this is the city coming out in me every, every mile. Got the hoops. Vanessa too. All right. So yeah, we're on Facebook, both ones over there. We're on Foundation Church as well. So if you're watching, just say hello. If you want to share it, go for it.
Starting point is 00:15:33 Share it. And listen, if you're particular about your Facebook page and you like it organized and you have OCD and you haven't been healed of that yet, what you can do is you can share the feed, and then afterwards, you can just archive it. If you don't want it to live on your page forever, but you want to have it show up in the news feed,
Starting point is 00:15:50 just share it. And then after we're done, you can just go and archive it. And it doesn't delete or anything. It just goes hidden off of your page. So if you are one of those people that likes their feed nice and organized on Facebook, I get it. So just try that.
Starting point is 00:16:03 See if that works out for you guys. And then if you are on Rumble, say hello. If you're watching, there's a bunch of you watching. So make sure you say hello. We've been able to kind of catch up with everybody else, saying hi to them there. No snow in New York, but it is very cold. What else we got over there?
Starting point is 00:16:21 Staying light longer is amazing. Needs more pool time. I agree, Sharon. Exactly. See, they just don't understand us. That's OK. If you're on YouTube, say hello. And then let us know where you're watching from as well.
Starting point is 00:16:34 If you want to jump over to the Rumble chat, very simple. Just go to Rumble, the whole pot line, and then you will find us very easily. And of course, Black Rope's always available. And then of course, later on today, the audio podcast is available. Spotify, Apple Podcasts, all of the things, whatever Android is.
Starting point is 00:16:51 I don't do Android, but whatever that one is, you can go there as well. And then moving right along to questions, of course, please send your questions in. We are looking forward to hearing what you guys are talking about in your small groups, even with your families, maybe some issues maybe you're having with family that you're not really sure We are looking forward to hearing what you guys are talking about in your small groups, even with your families, maybe some issues

And we're on TikTok, the whole pot line, and also share, repost, anything you see, you know, just keep it scrolling or keep it moving along for us on the feed. You can from bottom up, if you go first, it is the option to repost. And there's no reason for you not to repost it because it wouldn't pop up in your feed. So if you like us, please repost. And there's no reason for you not to repost it because it wouldn't pop up in your feed. So if you like us, please repost. And then after that is the save, you can save it for us and then you can comment and then you can like it. And if you're not following us, please do. And then our newest edition is Hey, it's Hope01. You want to go follow Hope for some new videos that she's got going. You'll want to kind of pay attention because there's some, you never know. You never know what Hope's going to be up to. So make sure you're watching those, following along, all the good stuff too.
Starting point is 00:18:13 And then we've got our merch, foundationchurchfl.com. Click shop. You can get all those four things. We got to kind of finalize what color we want for the zip up. And if we want to stick with gray or if we're going to do teal and blue and then hope you got to decide if you like the colors that are available before we do that. So Heather and I are in conversation about that and I think gray and blue, gray and blue
Starting point is 00:18:39 or teal and blue. Excuse me. Teal and blue. So we'll have to make sure the teal that they have is what you like. That's kind of the yeah, that's where yeah, that's where we're at right now. And then tomorrow, this Saturday, seven to 9.30 PM, we have Crave, a night of worship. I'm gonna play this little clip for you guys
Starting point is 00:18:56 to kind of see what you can expect, where it's going. I mean, it is two and a half hours of worshiping. So it is gonna be so good. So please come prepared and here's a little preview. It is the well Oh, with my soul It is the way, the way with my soul. It is well, it is well with my soul.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Alright, so yeah, be there with us. We'll be there. We'll be singing our little hearts out. And please invite friends. And I don't know, just just listen, if you've had somebody on your heart and you're like, I wish I would have invited them to dare to be, I wish I would have invited them to church. I just don't know. I don't know. Just invite them. This is the easiest one that you can invite them to. It's worship music. Like, even if you're not sure if they love you, they're going to be like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. just don't know, I don't know. Just invite them. This is the easiest one that you can invite them to. It's worship music. Even if you're not sure if they like worship music, this is where the Holy Spirit is just gonna do its thing and his thing. And I really do think that there's gonna be some amazing things that happen tomorrow. I mean, we've got two and a half hours. It's gonna be great.
Starting point is 00:20:43 And why not end the night with a less of an hour? Then basically we get three hours of worship tomorrow, three and a half hours. Yeah, truth. Kind of. But you cannot substitute, crave. Yes. Or church on Sunday.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Yeah, we're still going to church on Sunday, people. Don't even think about it. Right. Bring that same excitement for a worship night to Sunday morning. Crave is not a substitute for church. This is a Saturday night church. Does that count for a Sunday service?
Starting point is 00:21:18 And we're not in our church where we have Saturday night. It's just an extra. Yeah, extra. It's like the sprinkles on top. Yeah. Cherry on top. Sunday's the cherry. Saturday's the sprinkles.
Starting point is 00:21:30 Sprinkles. Sprinkles. Sprinkles, like Tom would say. Yeah. Okay. Are we, so when we're missing Sarah, no bless, we love you Sarah. I don't know where you're at. She's probably working.
Starting point is 00:21:41 She's a busy girl. Busy girl. Always. We can, I think we only get her like once a week. Yeah, I think that's right. If we're lucky. Cause the girl is on a mission. Busy.
Starting point is 00:21:52 Yep. Busy between personal or her own business and then her husband's. So we'll miss her today, but she has good stuff on Wednesday. But we're going to go briefly over if you missed Wednesday, we are specifically talking about secondnd Peter 1 5 through 11 and 2nd Peter 1 5 through 11 basically is a roadmap to having a successful walk with
Starting point is 00:22:22 the Lord and then it is a sure thing if you do these things that you'll inherit the kingdom of heaven, which we were all talking about, and like none of us, when we've read the scripture, none of us even saw it like this. So I'm gonna go through to the place that we left off, the scriptures where we left off, or I'm gonna read to where we left off, and then where we left off, or I'm going to read to where we left off,
Starting point is 00:22:46 and then we'll go back into greater detail on those things, because we're not going to go and re-emphasize the topics or the scripture, parts of the scripture that we've already done. You can go back and watch that. What was that, 159? I think it's 159. or hold on, let me look. It's 195. I am dyslexic right there.
Starting point is 00:23:12 I mean, yours is- What is mine? Mine is wrong, right? Kind of, because we start season three all over again. So we are on episode 17 now of season three. That was episode 16. So. Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Yeah. Yeah. So episode seven, it's literally yesterday's. So, I mean Wednesday. So the last one. So go to the last one. Last one, yeah. If you wanna catch up.
Starting point is 00:23:36 Yeah. If you missed it. And it's actually titled, What Does a Successful Walk Look Like with the Lord, or with God? And it says part two. So that's today. And the other one was part one.
Starting point is 00:23:45 That's perfect. Yeah. That's perfect. Let's like, we're gonna start with the scripture and then we'll, I'm gonna scroll to where we left off. But it says, for this very reason, adding your diligence to the divine promises. I did amplify classic because it's perfect.
Starting point is 00:24:02 It breaks it down to where you can't, it thumbs it down. You're like, you don't even have to think. It's doing all the thinking for you, Amplified Classic. I love, do you guys use the Amplified Classic a lot? I do the Amplified. Oh, okay. Which is similar to the Classic. Less words.
Starting point is 00:24:19 It's less words. Yeah. I like the Amplified Classic. I've used the Amplified, but then when I got this one, I was like, to me, it does get wordy. I do understand why you don't do the Classic, but it just breaks down the Greek and everything. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:24:35 It does. Yeah, sometimes it's really appropriate. I need clarity on scripture. I always go to the Amplified Classic. You dig deeper. Yes, because it gives me a little bit more information. True. Perfect. Yeah. So we like chat. GPC. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:24:54 I mean the stuff they're killing me with that. You know, we learned a lot today. All we've done today is chat. GPT. If you don't know what that is, it's AI. And let me just tell you, it's way better than Google. It is, it's more concise, it's more efficient. I'm sorry guys. It is demonic, but we're gonna use it to the best of.
Starting point is 00:25:13 It's kind of like Amazon and Walmart and everything else that's demonic. Well, that's true. What's the diff? What's the diff? Gosh, so like when you're studying things out, like I use Bible gateway a lot when I'm doing, when I do Bible study or I'm trying to prepare something
Starting point is 00:25:33 because what I'll do is I'll have my NIV, then I'll have my Perrystone, which is King James. Then I have usually my computer open, which is Bible Gateway, which I go to New Living Translation to amplify classic. I'm just, if you don't know how to study, if you do it that way, you don't have to have so many Bibles out, but you're going to get all of the translations and all of everything broken down.
Starting point is 00:26:02 Like New Living Translation is great because it's just like, Tracy loves the message, isn't it? That you love the message. But you do love the message, right? No, I do, I do. I do love the message. I love the New Living Translation because it breaks down the King James into my error. And I mean, E-R-A, error.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Where the message brings it even more broken down. It's a paraphrase, right? Is that how you say it? It's a rendering. Rendering, it's a rendering, thank you. Sarah usually reminds me. I like New King James, I like NLT, and then when I need more words, I like Amplify Classic,
Starting point is 00:26:43 and then when I wanna read it like poetry, like what if we were just talking? Yeah. It's really basically like you're reading a story. It is, it is. So I don't study from it and I don't, I just have certain verses that they just hit right. Like conforming to the patterns of this world,
Starting point is 00:26:59 like the way they write that's really good. Isaiah 43 is really good. Well, for me, like when I say it's like a story, it's like if you broke open a novel and you started reading a novel, that's the message. And it's not even broken down into verses. Right, they're like grouped together. It's read like a novel.
Starting point is 00:27:17 Yes. You don't know which one's like verse six or seven. It just is all together. Which to me, the NLT is very similar to that. Yeah. As far as an easy read. Easy read for sure. The message is even more.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Yeah, and it's not a translation. Right. But it's not bad. I mean, I've looked at the message and I'm like, oh, I love how they write that. I don't necessarily think it's as accurate as it should be. It's not. But if you're a newbie and you're trying to figure things out,
Starting point is 00:27:49 the message might be the way you wanna go. Yeah, it might be better than reading a normal book. And trying to say that you don't understand. True, yeah. Okay, yeah. Until you get out of that novice phase. Don't start with King James. Oh dear Lord.
Starting point is 00:28:06 I know so many people that do. They give up. Right. They throw up their hands and they're like, no. Like there's a better way. There is a better way. Oh yeah. There's a better way.
Starting point is 00:28:16 Even new King James is so much, like I read new King James. Me too. Yeah. Cause I just can't get with the vows. Me either. But the new King James is the too. Yeah. Cause I just can't get with the vows. Me either. But the new King James is the best. I agree. That's what we tend to lean on a lot.
Starting point is 00:28:34 But if you get Bible Gateway and there's other ones that are, they have, it has a lot to offer. I do the blue letter Bible. I think you said that before. I know Sarah does too. Yeah. Maybe you heard Sarah say it. I know Sarah does too. Yeah. Maybe you heard Sarah say it.
Starting point is 00:28:46 I use them a lot cause it also breaks it down into the Greek. So does I have to pay for it. Blue letter does not. Yeah. That's free. I pay for Bible gateway and it breaks it all down. Which once you get even further into study,
Starting point is 00:29:01 you definitely want it broken down. Yeah. Cause it's a deeper study, you definitely want it broken down. Yeah. Because it's a deeper study, deeper understanding, and it is more profound. But they also teach. And when you're teaching, you want to have that because it's a deeper understanding. And then when you're speaking about something,
Starting point is 00:29:18 you're using it in the right context. Super important. Like the word love, there is agape, there is so many other- And it means all different things. And right, when you're reading a verse, like what, which one is it? Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:34 That they're referring to. Cause they all, there are different, this is boring. I'm sorry. So really fast, but no, no, The word love has different, there's numbers. And those numbers are the definitions of what that word means in the context in which it's meant. And you have to understand that. Cause it not all the time does love mean the same way
Starting point is 00:29:57 as another love. Right, exactly. You just gotta make sure it stays right. That's why people get confused. And that's why people think that they know what they're talking about when they're preaching things and they're completely wrong about them. Right, yep.
Starting point is 00:30:08 So, okay, for this reason, adding your diligence to the divine promises, employ every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue, excellence, resolution, Christian energy is what virtue means. In an exercising virtue, develop knowledge, which is intelligence. And an exercising virtue, develop knowledge, which is intelligence. And in exercising knowledge, and if I'm doing the Amplified Classic, so if you were
Starting point is 00:30:32 reading this in another version, it wouldn't have the word exercising in it. It would say, and in knowledge, self-control. And in self-control, steadfastness. And you wouldn't have any of the rest of this, but that's why the Amplified Classic is so great because it says, in exercising knowledge, which means exercising, meaning working it out, doing something, doing performing knowledge, that might not be the right way to say it, performing, using knowledge. In an exercising knowledge, develop self-control. What better way to say, I mean develop is such a great addition to this verse, because
Starting point is 00:31:14 you don't start out with self-control, you develop self-control. And in exercising self-control, develop steadfastness, which is patience, endurance. And in exercising steadfastness, develop steadfastness, which is patience endurance. In an exercising steadfastness, develop godliness, which is piety. In an exercising godliness, develop brotherly affection. In an exercising brotherly affection, develop Christian love. If you do all of those things, which we just listed, this is what it says, for as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, so as you activate them and they start being signs
Starting point is 00:31:52 of who you are, characters of who you are, they will keep you from being idle or unfruitful unto the full personal knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the anointed one. For whoever lacks these qualities is blind, spiritually speaking, short-sighted, seeing only what is near to him, and has become oblivious to the fact that he was cleansed from his old sins. Because of this, brethren,
Starting point is 00:32:21 be all the more salacious and eager to make sure." And that word sure is to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast your calling and election. And if you do this, you will never stumble or fall. That's your promise. The Word of God tells you that if you do something, you'll get this. That's a promise. That's basically a covenant that he's saying, I promise you, if you do these things, this is what will happen for you. There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. It's a guarantee. Thus, there will be richly and abundantly provided for you entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now, we went and we went all the way down. We went through faith,
Starting point is 00:33:06 exercising your faith to develop virtue. Then we went exercising virtue to develop knowledge, which is intelligence, exercising knowledge to develop self-control, which self-control, I'm gonna talk about this. Self-control is super important because when you have self-control, it's the ability to manage one's impulses, emotions, and behaviors to achieve long-term goals.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Which is super important. Like I was teasing uh I was teasing Vanessa. Vanessa, I'm not an impulsive person at all. I mean very rarely am I impulsive. Vanessa on the other hand an impulsive person at all. I mean, very rarely am I impulsive. Vanessa, on the other hand, extremely impulsive. You could walk in any day now and she'll be bald. True. Because she gets a wild hair and she's like, I wonder what I would look like bald. Just this morning.
Starting point is 00:34:00 Just this morning, I'm like, I think I'm gonna chop my hair off. I'll kill her. But because in her mind, she's like, I think I'm gonna chop my hair off. I'll kill her. But because in her mind, she's like, oh, it'll grow back. Now see some people that you can be impulsive like that. That's not an eternal situation right there. Like if you shave your head, it has no eternal ramifications. Jesus still loves me.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Yes. Now you will not see her be impulsive with her Christian walk. There and here's the thing, if you're a spontaneous person, I'm not really that spontaneous. If you're a spontaneous person, what you got to do is reign that spontaneity or that impulsiveness, gain self-control when it comes to your Christian walk. Process and think that through. You should never change those things because that's what makes you who you are.
Starting point is 00:34:51 That's what makes her fun. That's like, what are we gonna see now? Literally she could walk in blonde and she has. Shock the tar out of all of us. She went from being like bougie to walking in and being in cowboy boots. And cowgirl attire. Like you never know what you're gonna get with her.
Starting point is 00:35:12 That's what makes her her. Are you really, you're not that spontaneous. You're consistent. You're consistent. Tracy's not like, she's kind of like with me. Like I don't, I have my things that I have to make sure stay in line. So that in life, they're not bad.
Starting point is 00:35:36 But if I let them cross over into my Christian walk, eternally, they could be, there could be some ramifications for it. We all have it. We all have things that we need to learn self-control on. Mine's my mouth, my tongue, my impatience, things like that. That is not Tracy, by no means.
Starting point is 00:35:58 Her mouth, her tongue. Well, maybe like being, like you've always said, like being a godly wife, because you've had to, like you've always said, like being a godly wife, because you've had to, like you've had to go from being a wife to dealing with not being a wife, to now being a godly wife. And so like when you have to do, handle things on your own
Starting point is 00:36:18 and then have to give it back, that's a tough thing. Yeah. Yeah. That's a tough thing. So learning to be a Christ-like wife, taming the tongue, taming everything else, that's maybe your thing. So we all have our things that we have to, within the measure of whatever it is,
Starting point is 00:36:36 and the degree it is, we have to have self-control. Self-control, I'm sorry, is very hard for people. A lot of these things that we mentioned already, they're not gonna be a problem for people. Self-control, I think sorry, is very hard for people. Yeah, yeah. A lot of these things that we mentioned already, they're not gonna be a problem for people. Self-control, I think, is a problem for most, though. I think so. Yeah, I do.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Whether it's anger, like, I mean, I get irritated, but like some people like have tantrums, they fly off the handle, they're punching things, they're like yelling at everybody, like that's a whole other thing of self-control. That's what people most of the time think of when they think of self-control, flying off the handle. But being impulsive is also one of those things.
Starting point is 00:37:17 Like knowing when to do things and when not to do things. And does it fall in line scripturally with the word of God? Because you can be impulsive, like finding somebody that you think you really love and thinking that you can save them, like mission dating. Okay, sorry, that's being impulsive and being stupid. And there's people who do it.
Starting point is 00:37:43 Right. Yep. It's not wise cause it could be eternally bad for you because people who tend to get involved with people who are not saved, either their walk with God suffers or it's nil by the time it's done. Don't mission date. That's fair to say. I don't hardly the time it's done. Don't mission date, huh? That's fair to say, yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:06 I don't hardly ever see it work out. Yeah. So, but that's being impulsive or that's you not having a wise, making wise decision. Right. It's many things. So self-control. It's also a fruit of the spirit.
Starting point is 00:38:21 Oh, yes. Self-control. 100%. It reminds me of the verse, I think it's in Matthew. It's my home screen and it's abiding me and I in you as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine. Neither can you unless you abide in me. So if we're connected to him, If we're connected to him, then we will bear the fruit, all the fruit, which includes self-control. Which I would say you'll bear much fruit. Because anything healthy bears much fruit.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Anything that is not has thorns, thistles, and does not. It may have some fruit, but not much fruit. And is the fruit good? Right. Usually it's not good fruit. You may be able to pull it off of the branch, but when you taste it, it will not be the same as something that came off of something healthy.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Very different. Two different things. So a lot of people go, well, I have fruit. Is it good fruit? Like, does it taste good to people? Right. Right. Is it something that people are longing to come back
Starting point is 00:39:34 and take off from you? No. True. I mean, people should be like growing off of you. Like, it's like, you know how things that are really healthy, like people are always like, can I, can you snip some of that off so I can take a part of that? That's how you should be.
Starting point is 00:39:57 Right. People should be wanting something off of you that they can grow and be healthier off of. Yep. I agree. So that's your little seeds. That's your little Christians that you're mass producing. You win them, you disciple them, they win, they disciple. That's your fruit, that's your seeds.
Starting point is 00:40:23 So let's go to the next one. So, we go from self control, it says, exercising self control. So, when you exercise self control, and this is so profound, when you exercise self control, you develop steadfastness. What is steadfastness?
Starting point is 00:40:43 It's patience, it's endurance. Everybody wants to pray for patience. And patience is also a fruit of the Spirit. You don't need to pray for patience. It's a fruit of the Spirit. It dwells inside of you. Start using it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:00 It's already there. You just have to start operating in it. And it says, those who endure to the end shall be saved. So when you, I mean it's as simple as not allowing your emotions, your impulses, and your behaviors to control you. So when you control yourself and you bring under submission your attitude, your tongue, your behaviors, when you do that, it says automatically you start developing steadfastness.
Starting point is 00:41:44 It means you learn how to endure tough things, good things, whatever it is, you become someone who endures, which is clear that you must have that in order to get to the end of the race. On top of that, you get patience. Lord knows I need that. I need to continue to grow in that.
Starting point is 00:42:04 I've become way better, a much more patient person, but being a self-controlled person, more self-controlled earns that for me. And I never noticed, I never noticed like, patience came from or steadfastness came from becoming a self-controlled individual. But if you look at people who have no self-control, you'll notice that they don't have much endurance
Starting point is 00:42:30 and they definitely are not steadfast or patient. Very true. That's not a quality that they carry around with them. Isn't that amazing though? I mean, it's a spiritual principle. And it doesn a spiritual principle. Uh-huh. And it doesn't like change. Like for me, like I've never seen somebody who has self-control that is patient, that is not patient.
Starting point is 00:42:58 But I've never seen somebody who's not got self-control be patient. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's, I don't know if I'm explaining it correctly. No, you're right. No, you did. It's like, it's like, again, it's like a math equation. Two plus two equals four. That's it. And it will always equal four. It's a measure that never changes. I don't know. So if you control your emotions and your attitude, then you'll be patient because you'll have self control. Super simple.
Starting point is 00:43:34 Steadfastness develops godliness. So if you're steadfast, then you become godly. Yep. Who doesn't want that? Who does not want that? If you're steadfast, then you become godly. Yep. Who doesn't want that? Who does not want that? Who does not want to be more godly, more Christ-like? You have to be crazy. I mean, everybody should write these things down.
Starting point is 00:43:58 And did I operate in this today? Did I do these things today? Cause if you do them, you know, you're one step closer to being able to endure, be steadfast and make it to heaven. That's the ultimate like destination. And if you do it every day, you're guaranteed, you're going. It's a guarantee. Yep.
Starting point is 00:44:26 I like guarantees. I do too, man. Me too. Like if it's literally like, so you're telling me all I gotta do is this right here. Right. If I do this right here, I'm going to heaven. I can do A, B, C, D, and E.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Yes. It's a formula. And here's the thing. If that's all I gotta do, I'll do that. If you're not reading your word, you don't know that this gem is in here. You know, like a formula. This is literally a formula right here.
Starting point is 00:44:57 It is so simple. I'm not saying it's so simple to do, but I'm just saying it's so simple. It's easy. Yep. Yeah, I think it's easy,'s so simple. It's easy. Yep. Yeah, I think it's easy, but not simple. Cause it requires follow through. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:11 But it's easy, but it's, yeah. It requires forward motion. Yeah. And being diligent every day. 100%. People struggle with that. Yeah. Consistency. Consistency is key.
Starting point is 00:45:25 But it goes back to the four essentials. You do those four essentials. Every day. You're golden. Literally. Golden. That's it. So if you exercise godliness, you develop brotherly affection. Let's look at 1 John 4, 8.
Starting point is 00:45:43 It says, whoever does not love does not know God. I love this scripture because God is love. Whoever does not love does not know God. And there are a lot of people out there who are, they are like rotten to the core. They are mean. They'll come to church on, they come to church on Sunday.
Starting point is 00:46:07 They fight, moan, groan, complain. Nasties can be to their family. As they drive to the church, get inside the building, act like a fraud. Glory to God, hallelujah. We love you, this and that and everything else. Pretend and play and get right back in the car and act nasty, mean and unkind to their family.
Starting point is 00:46:28 100%. Whoever does not love, does not know God. So you can pretend and play and think you're fooling a whole lot of people. You're not. You're not fooling the most important, which is Him. He sees all things. And that means you don't know God because He is love.
Starting point is 00:46:51 And good luck. Good luck. Cause it happens a lot. Unfortunately. Unfortunately. Unfortunately. Yeah. It's not.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Yeah. I wish it was uncommon. Yeah. It's just not. It's not. It's not, yeah. I wish it was uncommon. Yeah. It's just not. It's not. It's not uncommon. Or they're nasty in their houses. You're yelling at, yelling and screaming, ranting and raving with no apology, no remorse, no humbleness, no contriteness.
Starting point is 00:47:24 Whoever does not love does not know God. You cannot act like that and think that you know God. You don't know him. Yeah, I don't understand how people justify that. And like, how do you justify that's love when you act like that? Or how do you not know, like at some point, if you're doing that to your kids,
Starting point is 00:47:44 like they're probably telling people, like, isn't it? I just feel like- I don't know if they're just doing it to their kids. I think they do it to each other, their spouses. Yeah, yeah, but at some point, like somebody is gonna tell somebody, like people know, like I know people that don't know that I know that they act like that.
Starting point is 00:48:00 And I'm just like, the shoe's gonna fall at some point, but like, I don't know, it's just so weird to me. Eventually it comes out, unless God really gets a hold of these people and there's radical change. Yeah, I mean, I don't know, it's just so weird to me. Nobody's fooling anybody, cause you're right, normally, like kids talk.
Starting point is 00:48:23 They do. I mean, some of the things that I found out when I did children's ministry, stinking funny. Yeah, because kids are honest. They are honest as the day is long. And then the parents, and you're just like, Right. Yeah, you're not. I'm buying what you're selling.
Starting point is 00:48:38 You're not tricking anybody. I'm not buying what you're selling. You're not tricking anybody. And it's just, yeah, it's unfortunate, but it'll come out. So just stop. Like if you're doing that, just don't, just, just, and it doesn't feel good.
Starting point is 00:48:51 That's where self-control comes in. Vows can start there. It's revealing of like their walk with the Lord. Right. Because if you're walking with the Lord, he's not gonna let you, like the Holy Spirit's convict, like it will, the Holy Spirit will convict you. That's where that scripture comes in though.
Starting point is 00:49:04 You do not know him. Right. Right. You think you do, you're playing. You're playing. You're playing church, playing Christian. It is. Yeah, it's a game. It's just a game. It's like you're a great thespian.
Starting point is 00:49:18 You're a great actor. Right. But it's a role. And for what? You're playing, not life. No, yeah, for what? Why know all the scripture? And not live it out. And then not live it out.
Starting point is 00:49:31 Because it's hard to, like, guys, it's hard to, like, discipline yourself. A lot of people want to talk the talk. That's why it says to not only be a hearer of the word, but be a doer. Because here's the thing, most people are hearers. Yeah, no, absolutely. That's why that instruction's there though. But being fake is hard for me. It's so exhausting to be like,
Starting point is 00:49:57 to say one thing and then do something else. That's exhausting to me. I would just rather just be genuine and just if I mess up, I say it. If I don't like the people that are playing games. That's because you have no agenda. Okay, a lot of people have an agenda. That's true.
Starting point is 00:50:17 Okay. Yes. And so. But imagine going to hell because you lived a double life. Is it worth it? Well, to some people it's worth it because they can't control their flesh. So if they feel an emotion
Starting point is 00:50:31 and they'll be labeled as bipolar or whatever it is. No, what you've done is from a very young age, your parents let you control the emotions and the movements in the home. And when you didn't get what you want, you threw yourself to the ground and you started throwing a temper tantrum and you said what you wanted to say and you behaved a certain way with no consequences or repercussions. And as you grew up, your behavior kept getting worse and worse and worse and worse. That's not bipolar. That's you behaving poorly. You're allowing your carnal nature to take over
Starting point is 00:51:05 and you've grown up like that and it's been allowed. So now as an adult, that's how you behave and they've labeled you something because one minute you feel happy and you're treating everybody nicely and the next moment you get a wild hair and you're gonna act however you want to. That's you behaving poorly,
Starting point is 00:51:26 but you've been allowed to do it all your life. That's why parenting is very important. When your kid gets on the ground or starts crying or pitching a fit because they don't get what they want, that's not when you appease them, you comfort them and go, come here Johnny, or distract them from poor behavior. That's when you address the poor behavior. We're not acting like this. And if we want to act like this, then I will, there'll be consequences for it.
Starting point is 00:51:52 I will show you the consequences. But that's not what we do anymore. We don't wanna spank, we don't wanna discipline. We'd rather distract them and try and appease them that way. When they're acting poorly, you address the poor behavior. You nip it in the bud. That's not what parents do anymore. And some parents let their kids get on the ground.
Starting point is 00:52:14 I've seen it. Literally lay on the ground, start kicking and screaming, and they laugh. I'm like, that's not funny. It says that fits of rage will keep you out of the kingdom of heaven. That's a fit of rage on the floor, kicking and screaming. Or when they come to you and you tell them it's time to go and they start crying and pitching a fit
Starting point is 00:52:35 and you try and distract them, well, when we get home, little Johnny, we'll have a bowl of ice cream. That's not good. You've now distracted their poor behavior to stop the poor behavior with a reward. That's not life. And as they get older, they're gonna think that when they act poorly,
Starting point is 00:52:53 if they act poor enough, then maybe they'll get a reward. Doesn't work like that. That's not real world. And then they're labeled bipolar. Right. Yep. We're not, I mean, then they're labeled bipolar. Right. Yep. We're not, I mean, parenting is important guys. It is.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Mm-hmm. It really is. So you just don't like laugh things off. And then when your kid smarts off to you or they say they hate you or they give you lip, you're like, there's a consequence for that. And when there's not, when they get older, there will be. And it could be eternal.
Starting point is 00:53:28 And I always think to myself, because I'm always thinking into the future, what does this decision do for me in the future? What kind of consequence will I have, good or bad? I'm always forward thinking for the most part. People should be, as parents, you should be forward thinking. If I allow this behavior to happen, will this behavior keep my kid out of heaven?
Starting point is 00:53:54 Am I embracing, enabling, and accepting something that will cost them something? You should think that. It's that big of a deal. Right, absolutely. Or what if does this behavior, it's not heaven and hell right now, but will this lead to heaven and hell later?
Starting point is 00:54:11 Right. Like crying, pretend crying, like so that they get attention and it's negative. You're allowing them to lie. Pretend crying when they're not really hurt or they want their own way and you give them their way because lie, pretend crying when they're not really hurt or they want their own way and you give them their way because they're pretend crying. You're embracing and enabling a lie.
Starting point is 00:54:32 They're not, they are not hurt. There's no tears and you're pretending along with them that something's really wrong. In that moment, is that heaven and hell? No, but will it lead to heaven and hell? Potentially you let it go on long enough. Nobody thinks of those things though. And when they, and I see it all the time,
Starting point is 00:54:50 kids pretend cry and pretend like something's wrong and parents are like, oh, little Johnny or whatever the little girl's name is. I'm like, I think to myself, that's bad. Don't do that. That's gonna have a consequence, whether you realize it or not. That's gonna have a consequence. That's bad. Don't do that. That's gonna have a consequence, whether you realize it or not. That's gonna have a consequence.
Starting point is 00:55:08 That's not good. And it grows from there. It does, yeah. A little leaven. It's not good. People need to really think, especially with parenting to a certain extent, because you got a little life in your hands.
Starting point is 00:55:24 And that's your only investment you can take to heaven. There's nothing else. You can take you to heaven, but that's really the only thing that's like, you have a job to do and that's to make sure that life that you brought into this world gets to heaven. Take it seriously. And most people don't.
Starting point is 00:55:43 They are more about making sure that they're entertained. Yep. Or there's an agenda. Like you said, that was really good. Like the agenda thing. Like they're trying to get on stage. They're trying to get a hub. They're trying to get, like that was,
Starting point is 00:55:58 that's a pretty big deal. That kind of nailed it. That did. Cause I really didn't understand why spend so much time understanding scripture and learning it and then speaking it and then be a terrible person. Well, like pastors. But I know, and so, but it is, there's no giant side.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Yeah, right. And so the pride, but like why? Like, yeah, it's pride, but like why? But if there's an agenda and there's a purpose and there's money behind it or fame or pride control, like that totally makes sense. A lot of people love people praising them, control, to have a following, throw up, that makes me sick.
Starting point is 00:56:38 I know, well, it's funny, like Vanessa and I always talk, like people don't think like us. So sometimes, usually I can kind of like see, but like this one I've always struggled with, like why no scripture, memorize it, and then use it for like bad, you know, throw it in people's face. Cause I see it like, I do see the parents
Starting point is 00:56:56 that don't correct, and then I see the parents that over correct, and they're just constantly on their kids and constantly on them and on them and on them. And there's no love at all. And I'm like, there, guys, there's a better way. You can do both. You can love your kids like crazy and nip it in the butt right away.
Starting point is 00:57:10 Cause that is love. But it's like, and I think it all stems from how they grew up in their household. And so if they were really punished crazy, they do the total opposite and then they don't punish. Or if they were allowed to do whatever they want, like it's always the opposite. Like there's a middle ground. There's the word. it's always the opposite. There's a middle ground.
Starting point is 00:57:26 There's the word. There's a better way. There's a better way. A happy medium is what we call that. Maritaling with the Holy Spirit is so much better. It's so much better. Oh my gosh. Really, it is.
Starting point is 00:57:34 And he knows, I mean, listen. And he knows, he knows your kid. He's in rooms that we're not in. True. He's in conversations that we're not in. And so if we allow the Holy Spirit to like guide us in our parenting, He will, He will let us know. There have been, I think of, you know, my own experience, like the Lord has revealed
Starting point is 00:57:53 things very early on where I was able to nip it in the butt and then it was done. Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. And it didn't take, I don't know, but I assume it didn't take screaming and yelling. No, not at all. No, like that's not how God would do it. Right. But then you get to, cause you didn't take care of it right away.
Starting point is 00:58:10 And then, so you do get annoyed and then you are screaming and yelling because you're kind of mad at yourself for not doing it earlier. That was me. For knowing earlier. Yeah. Tommy, I was so mad at myself for letting things
Starting point is 00:58:20 get to the place that they were. And then while I'm mad at myself, you take it all on that child. It's your fault. Oh yeah, me too. I've totally been there. Absolutely. Like I, and I used to say that to Tom.
Starting point is 00:58:32 I'd be like, when I would get really frustrated, I would get so frustrated with things sometimes. And I go, you know what? I'm so mad, but I'm not so mad at them. I'm so mad at me. It's my fault. And I would say you know what? I'm so mad, but I'm not so mad at them. I'm so mad at me. It's my fault. And I would say that to them. It's, this is my fault
Starting point is 00:58:49 because I let things get to this place. And I really can only be mad at me, but through the process, I ended up taking it out on them sometimes. And it was like, that's why I said that love dare book. I did it for my kids cause I dared to love them. You know? I said that love dare book. I did it for my kids cause I dared to love them. You know, I mean, I have such great moments with my kids and we have such fond memories,
Starting point is 00:59:15 but to think there could have been more, you know? I know. If people, there are some people that would say, yeah, you're probably too hard sometimes and things like that. But if they were in my home and they were around, they would say like, you weren't horrible. Like this wasn't, I mean, there were moments that were like,
Starting point is 00:59:35 but I'm just saying on the whole, they probably say, well, you might be being too hard on yourself. And I would say probably not because it should have been perfect. It could have been better. And to like accept that, well, it should have been perfect. It could have been better. And to like accept that, well, it wasn't that bad. No, if it could be better, then it should have been better, you know?
Starting point is 00:59:52 And you don't get better by just saying, well, it wasn't- Well, whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. At least it wasn't like this. Yeah, I know. That's why you don't compare yourself among yourselves. True. It wasn't like this. Yeah. I know. Okay. That's why you don't compare yourself among yourselves. True.
Starting point is 01:00:06 Because then you never, you never grow and you never excel and you're always like rationalizing poor behavior. Yep. Yeah. Not a good, not a good trait. Not a good at all. So let's keep going. Cause I wanted to get to this one thing. But we'll
Starting point is 01:00:27 just keep going. Let's do it. So in exercising brotherly affection, develop Christian love. So when you exercise brotherly affection, you actually are developing within yourself Christian love. And, and for me, me, it's really that simple. This is such a great guidebook to having a successful walk with God. It says for, let's finish this up with it. It says, for as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, they will keep you from being idle and fruitful
Starting point is 01:01:03 until the full personal knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Messiah and the Anointed One. For whoever lacks these qualities is blind." So when you don't exude these things, when you don't have them living active in your life, you're blind, it says. Spiritually speaking, you're blind. I would never, I don't want anybody to think that spiritually I'm blind. You're short-sighted. Ouch! Seeing only what is near to Him and has become oblivious to the fact that He has cleaned us from our old sins. That's dangerous. It's so dangerous. And because of this, brethren,
Starting point is 01:01:48 be all the more salacious and eager to make sure or to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast your calling and election. For if you do this, you will never stumble or fall. That's huge, right there. You're guaranteed. You do these things, you're guaranteed. Thus there will be rich richly and abundantly, and I love that,
Starting point is 01:02:11 abundantly, provided for you entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So there will be richly and abundantly provided for you entry. What does that mean? Like, can you be less than that? I don't know. God bless, that's so good. I'm gonna skip. Peter knew what he was talking about.
Starting point is 01:02:36 Peter knew what he was talking about. So good. I'm gonna skip. I'm gonna do something that I normally wouldn't do, but I'm gonna skip sponsors really quick. Cause this is super important. And I really feel like, and I'm past do something that I normally wouldn't do, but I'm just gonna get sponsors really quick. Because this is super important. And I really feel like, and I'm past my time, and I hope people will stay on for this,
Starting point is 01:02:51 because I have been meditating on the word, specifically on healing scriptures. Meditating on healing scriptures, and there's personal reasons for that, multiple personal reasons that the Lord is having me do this. But I want to bring hope and I want to bring hope to somebody or people today. And I want to enlighten you and I want to bring revelation to you. And I want you to see a guarantee. And this is so amazing that the Lord, like, when you meditate on the Word, it's different than just studying the Word. We're to meditate on it as much as we're to study it. And the Word is very clear on that. And I think most of the Word, where to meditate on it as much as where to study it.
Starting point is 01:03:45 And the Word is very clear on that. I think most of the time people just read it. They don't even get to the study part. And then once you get to the study part, lots of people don't even meditate on it. And that's one of the things that the Lord is really showing me right now is the importance on meditating in His Word. Because I love studying it, but I will be honest with you, I'm not great at meditating on it because it's way different than studying it. There's a slow movement to it.
Starting point is 01:04:16 Yeah. And I have read these, like the Lord has had me reading these scriptures over and over and over again and meditating on them. And it wasn't today. It was, I think it was yesterday or I think it was yesterday. It just flew off the page to me. Again, flying off the page to me, which is why we just did the scripture in 1 Peter. But look at this scripture, Matthew 6, 9 through 10, and I didn't give this to Tracy because I want you to literally close your
Starting point is 01:04:49 eyes and listen to what I'm telling you. And this is a scripture that we all know, but some people you're gonna say, I already know this, and you do know this, and some of you are like, I've never seen it like this before. Matthew 6, 9 through 10 says, In this manner, therefore pray, Our Father in heaven, how would be your name, your kingdom come, and this is where it gets important, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. So whatever is in heaven is God's will. And that's the Lord's Prayer. Jesus said in Matthew 6, 9 through 10, and actually the Lord's Prayer is longer than this, right? He
Starting point is 01:05:41 talks about asking forgiveness and then forgiving others. But Jesus said that we're to pray like this. And Jesus said that it's His will that whatever is in heaven is also on earth. You guys, you both know what I'm talking about. You understand the scripture thoroughly. Did I just explain that so that it's understood to somebody who's never heard this before? I think so. Okay, so whatever is in heaven, you can expect on earth because that is his will.
Starting point is 01:06:21 Right. Okay. because that is His will. Right. Now I'm gonna take you to 1 John 5, 14 through 15. Okay, I'm gonna read it first in the New King James Version, or I think it's the NIV, and then I'm gonna take you to the Amplified Classic. Says, now this, now, if you are sick in your body,
Starting point is 01:06:43 if you are believing, because whatever's in earth, I mean whatever's in heaven is also on earth. So if you are financially needing provision, there's lots of provision in heaven, correct? Yeah, streets of gold, cattle on a thousand hills. I mean, we never want. Mansions, there's no want in heaven. If you're paying your tithe, there is no want for you. Do you believe that provision is provided for you? It is His will that you be provided for abundantly. If you're sick in your body,
Starting point is 01:07:23 He bore stripes on His back so that you would be healed. It is His will because there's no sickness, illness, or disease in heaven. So it is His will that you be well with no sickness. If you need forgiveness, there is no sin in heaven. So if you ask Him to be your Lord and Savior, and you've done that, you are saved. 1 John 5, 14 through 15 says, Now this is the confidence that we have in him,
Starting point is 01:07:59 that if we ask anything according to his will, what is his will? That you be provided for, that you be saved, that you be there would be no sickness, illness, or disease in your body. Divine health. That is what He wants for you. Divine health. That is His will. Okay? If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. So His will is for those three things. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. Okay, let's look at it in an Amplified Classic. What I want
Starting point is 01:08:40 you to understand is, eliminate the question mark. Eliminate, I know he'll do it for this person, but will he do it for me? Am I worthy? There's so many doubts, there's so many reasons people question whether or not you will be healed. You will have provision. Like people doubt whether they're saved all the time. They question what I said the sinners prayers, but I did this. So am I really saved? Okay, stop. Stop.
Starting point is 01:09:17 Listen to this. We're gonna do it in the Amplified Classic because it takes it to a whole nother level. When we are done with this podcast, you need to be rest assured and whatever you're standing on, the doubt and the question mark is gone because you meditate and you understand what the scripture actually means for you. It is a guarantee. Two plus two equals four. Always. This formula is no different than that. And this is the confidence. And when we hear
Starting point is 01:09:57 this word confidence, it means assurance. Get this, the privilege of boldness. You can be bold before the Lord. You can be bold before the Lord. You can be bold in saying, I am healed in the name of Jesus. Because that's what he said, on earth as it is in heaven. So you have a boldness, you have a privilege,
Starting point is 01:10:17 cause you're his. You have a privilege of boldness, a confidence in knowing whatever you're asking for shall come to pass. And this is the confidence, the assurance, the privilege of boldness, which we have in Him. And it all comes through Him. We are sure that if we ask, get that, we are sure. You need to be sure.
Starting point is 01:10:42 You need to know, no doubt, no question mark. We are sure that if we ask anything, we make any request is what that means. According to His will, is health in His will? Yes. Is provision in His will? Yes. Salvation in His will?
Starting point is 01:11:00 Yes. We are sure. Yes. We are confident. Yes. That if we ask anything according to His will, and it says, and this, and this says in His will, it means in agreement with His own plan. Yep. His plan was to provide on that cross salvation, healing, and provision for you. Those three things are a guarantee. Those three things are in His plan for you. That is a covenant. That is a promise. That is a
Starting point is 01:11:31 guarantee. That is two plus two equals four. That's simple. He listens to and hears us. And then it says, and if since we positively know that he listens to us and whatever we ask, we also know, and then the word no means with settled and absolute knowledge. Mm hmm. Nobody walks around thinking like this when they ask for something of the Lord. Right. But you need to, that we have, meaning we have, it means granted us our present possessions.
Starting point is 01:12:13 Praise the Lord. Yes. The request made of Him. Meditate on the Lord. Meditate on His word. That's such a good word. Oh my gosh. It's so freaking powerful.
Starting point is 01:12:27 Now, every time you have illness, sickness, whatever in your body, you go and you go, I know that there is no sickness, illness, and disease in heaven. So there shall be none on earth. I live in this earth. I am as if I'm a heavenly body. My spirit man, as if I am a heavenly being in heaven,
Starting point is 01:12:49 I will have no sickness, illness, and disease. That is his will. And then I run to, if I ask anything in his name, I boldly proclaim it. I boldly possess it. It's your privilege. And you know that you know that you know that whatever you ask in his name, it shall be done and then you do not waver on it and you start thanking him for it because you're going
Starting point is 01:13:14 to get it. Yep. That's a fact. Get rid of the doubt and belief because you have a guarantee. First John 5, 14 through 15. Get the Amplified Classic, write it down, stand on it, speak to yourself about it. The money will come in, the sickness will leave your body
Starting point is 01:13:34 and you are saved. Amen. Praise the Lord. Amen. See you on Sunday. Oh, no, see you on Saturday. See you tomorrow. Just for the record, my whole body has goosebumps. I feel the Lord so strongly right now.
Starting point is 01:13:48 So good. It's such a good word. And man, if someone just can just hang on to that, yes, man, and change your life. Somebody who has needs hope, that's your hope right there. And you stand in it and you know that you know that you know it's a finished work. Do not waver in it. And the next thing you do that you know that you know it's a finished work. Do not waver in it.
Starting point is 01:14:05 And the next thing you do is you start thanking him for it. You start thanking him for it because it is done. We'll see you on Saturday. Thanks for tuning in. Bye. Real talk. Real talk. Real talk.
Starting point is 01:14:20 Real talk. Real talk. Real talk. Real talk. Real talk. Real talk. Real talk. Real talk. Real talk Real talk Real talk
