It is Wednesday and welcome to the Hope Hotline.
We are raring to go in this room.
We still have no Tracy, but I do have Sarah and I do have Tal.
And of course, Heather is at the wheel, which is kind of scary for me.
Don't have Vanessa because Vanessa is a taxi right now for another family.
So she's gone this week, which might make some of you not watch because you might watch just strictly for Vanessa.
That could be a problem.
I might should have kept that under my hat along with my bruise.
It's getting better, people.
But I'm still wearing a hat.
Tell them why it's getting better.
I just started that.
I'm rubbing it out, people.
Heather doesn't put them on as much as tracy does she doesn't know that you actually
want to see both sides and she's not taking my cue because she's not putting you on
is this what you want okay yeah there's the crew
just for just know it's really her only third time and really friday doesn't count because
natalie was here it's not that i just don't like being on camera but it but if i say something
that's a cue i you can't rebel i knew it was a cue i know and you you know rebellion is the
sin of witchcraft so don't be a witch. Got it.
So it's going to just be,
and sometimes Sarah, for some reason,
decides that Friday's her day off.
I don't know.
So we'll see if Sarah's here on Friday.
I like to make it a surprise.
Keeping it, switching it up, keeping it fresh. I'll be here Friday for sure,
because I get an actual
seat and a microphone of my own
and this is exciting.
Oh, because I told you Vanessa's not going to be here?
Well, Vanessa told me that she wasn't going to be here.
So everything you just said, your volume was off.
My bad.
You're on now.
Testing, one, two, three.
Can you re-say what you said?
I mean, I could be loud enough to be heard in other people's
microphones.
I could hear you through towels, yeah.
Just not enough.
Yeah.
So I don't always come on Fridays because I have things going on.
But now I have a microphone to myself and I don't have Vanessa.
When she turns like this, she whacks my knee every time.
And then she's, oh, sorry.
You know she hides your face.
Yeah, you can't see you at all.
Sometimes she hides your face, too.
I wasn't going to say that, but since you brought it up.
Yeah, I'm bringing it up.
I don't think she realizes, though.
No, heck no, she doesn't realize.
She leans in.
Yeah.
And God forbid she's wearing one of these hats.
Yeah, then you really can't see me at all.
Because, you know, she's got like a moon face.
Not a crescent moon, but like a full moon face.
So then you add the hair. Is that face. So then you add the hair.
Is that a compliment?
Then you add the hair.
Okay.
Well, she's gorgeous.
Yeah.
You can have a full moon face and be gorgeous.
And then you add her hair.
And then Sarah's really blocked.
It ain't going to happen.
What we probably should do is switcheroo.
But I don't think that's going to work because she talks like this.
She talks like she should be in a
jazz club whereas
Sarah you can hear her like
if she was sitting in those brown chairs
over there then you guys can see
I think we're going to have to keep the stations
seated that's the positions
of everybody the same it's just
maybe we need to pop your seat up
a bit Sarah above her head
or do the second row like we did before with the It's just maybe we need to pop your seat up a bit, Sarah, above her head.
Or do the second row like we did before with the, what do you call them?
The stools.
Yeah.
What's going on over there?
She can't hear through her headphones.
Enough.
Cool.
Check, check, check.
Check one, two. Can people hear us?
I fixed it.
I got it now.
Okay.
We're a little bit of a hot mess with Tracy gone, but we'll figure it out, people. We'll figure it out. It's not on my checklist.
Yeah. Heather's learning what's not on the checklist that she's going to figure out.
That's all right. That's good. Okay. So Heather, you want to run down some things and then we'll
get going on other things and the questions. Sure. Cool. Okay. We're going to start off with
social media. If you are watching on Facebook, you know what to do.
But just in case you would like a reminder, we want you to like, share, and comment.
We are not up on YouTube today.
So if you have gone there and you weren't able to find us, it's because we got a lovely strike.
So we're not available there right now.
That's why you can't be on those places.
You should be going to Rumble, which is our next one that we're going to talk about.
So if you are on Facebook, even watching now, we are going to ask you to go to Rumble.
We also have Black Robe TV that you can watch on.
And we have audio podcasts where you can listen live or you can download for later.
Any other things for that?
Girls? Comments?
You want comments? We are on Instagram
also. Talia wants comments.
Talia wants comments. We're on Instagram?
We're not on Instagram live.
No, we're live.
You can listen back. You want to follow us on Instagram
for sure. Oh yeah.
Follow us. That's true.
Next we want you to send us questions.
Ask hope at hope hotline.com.
And then we have this Friday dare to be with miss hope.
Lively.
Pastor hope.
Lively.
I'm going to get everybody saved.
So make sure you're there.
And even if you think you're saved,
you probably need to be there.
Cause you're probably not, but go just kidding true i'll be there you need
more help than anyone if you're thinking that i i probably need to get saved while i'm there too
well you know at the conference we were really questioning it last year if you were saved or not
remember on the podcast no you don't remember that what did i do You said we were delirious because we hadn't slept.
You're like, oh yeah, that's true. Well, if I'm going to heaven or something, I'm like, wait,
do we have to need to have a conversation? Yeah. Are you saved? I remember that now.
That was a question. That was questionable. That's true. Okay. So anyways, dare to be
this Friday night, 630 to seven, we will be having snacks in the cafe. Seven o'clock,
we will be meeting in the sanctuary.
And then another big event coming is the Beloved Conference. This year, it is victorious.
It is August 22nd through the 24th.
Make plans and be here.
That's it.
It's going to be fun.
Seriously, I've been praying.
Last Dare to Be was really good.
And I'm moving it out of the cafe because it's too,
I don't like the cafe for stuff like that.
It's not intimate enough for me, and it's too, I don't like it.
So that's why I'm moving it to the sanctuary um
to just make it closer but also a growth you know that room is it's big don't get me wrong it can
seat a hundred people in there but i want bigger so yeah and we've only done this is only our
second one so listen i'm pretty i'm pretty happy but happy. But it's really great if all of us ladies can come together.
And I know that there's many that don't go to Monday night hubs that come to things like this.
And that's great.
And I want you to come to this, but I also want you to start coming to the ladies hubs to make some friends.
Because a lot of the people that come to Friday night, a lot of them do.
There's many that don't, but there are a lot that do attend these hubs. And I'm just saying,
Iron Sharpens Iron, they have a great time at these hubs. There's a lot of learning. Some,
they're all so very different, but all of them, you're going to learn so much and then take away.
And then like Heather's is you spend a little bit of time teaching, but then the rest is worship.
And that's powerful, too.
So it's not seriously, if you go to Sarah's, it looks nothing like Teresa's.
Teresa is like me.
She's a teacher.
Sarah's a teacher, but she's a slash comedian.
So it's like you're going to be it's like comedic relief along with learning the word.
And Teresa is a lot like me where she's, we're very much teachers. Like, I mean, both of us
have a funny side, but we are more on that realm, you know? So everything is very different and it'll it'll touch you in a different way
it'll capture your attention and hit some of the senses that you might not have gotten at
somebody else's does that make sense it does okay so i had to tell you this guys i was telling heather
so my dog which everybody knows about my dog my My dog, when he was six months old, he gets, he eats, he goes out into the woods and he eats whatever the heck he wants.
He's not out there eating like pig poo and armadillo crap and raccoon, you know, feces.
No, he's eating plant life, vegetation of all sorts. And so at six months old, he eats some kind of plant that has a flower on the end, gets
it lodged in his gums, goes through, and it makes this huge like...
Abscess.
Abscess.
But it was just not an abscess.
It was something else.
So they go in, they do surgery, and they find the flower-like material that's in there along with other stuff.
But it is an abscess.
She's absolutely correct.
They said something else, but it's irrelevant because mostly it was an abscess.
So they said, we might not have gotten it all.
And we were like, okay, but it looks pretty good.
Nothing came back for a while.
Well, just last week, that sucker came back.
And lo and behold, we go to the vet, and they tell us that they can do the same thing again,
and it might come back, or we can go to a surgeon.
Now, our vet, now, Heather, put your guys on.
Now, me and Heather are blessed because in our neighborhood, our neighbor is a retired vet.
So before he scurries off to the Virgin Islands, I run my little self over there, and I'm like, listen, the dog.
And he's like, this is the deal.
Everything he said is exactly what our vet said which is Lemon Bay Animal Hospital I love them they're very good to
us they're very good to my dog so we go there they said if you want to guarantee that it doesn't come
back go to the surgeon and and so there's a surgeon in Engglid now. Did you guys know that?
I do not highly recommend.
We go there. We spend an hour and a half waiting for horrible bedside manner to find out, like, $2,500 just for them to look at him, to do all this stuff.
Not the surgeon.
Not the surgery.
The workup.
Yeah.
Thank you, Heatherather the workup because
she knows all this terminology from the dental office working in and so all the workup which
is amounts to nothing right uh two twenty five hundred dollars right and then does the does uh
wants to do the surgery to the tune of it could'll be right around, it ain't going to be less, $6,000.
Can you believe this?
This is why people have insurance on their animals now.
Because this is insane.
This is insane.
$6,000, offer them to say, and we might not get it all.
It might come back.
I am, I told Tommy
I looked at them and I was like yeah I'm not gonna happen
I'm like I don't have stupid
on my forehead and like do you know how many people
probably do this because
I mean listen
if you did would you rub it out
I might and listen I don't know if you'd
see it right now because of the black and blue
mark but I'm just saying
I'm just telling you right now because of the black and blue mark but i'm just saying i'm just telling you
right now people pay that and i feel bad like you wouldn't believe how many people were in that
in that office they're their babies a lot of people's pets are their babies heather you know
our animals yeah you know how bad we are i do i do and even i can't do that i walked out i told
tommy i was like oh my tommy goes that didn't feel right and i'm like yeah because i would love to be
able to say where i want to go with that but i'm like yeah you ain't i ain't the one but he's like
man oh man people i am so like first of all, first of all, he wasn't even nice.
I was like, I don't even think I want you touching my dog, but let alone.
He wasn't even nice.
I don't know.
I'm very bothered by this, people.
Very bothered by this.
Now I know why people have insurance on their animals.
$10,000 to get.
And that is not even like guarantee not a guarantee right
and then on top of that it's not even like he's it's it's a like a life-threatening issue can
you imagine what a life-threatening issue would be for that for them they would like literally
take advantage i worked in the funeral business. I didn't know that.
Oh, I've done many things.
That's very interesting.
Oh, it is very interesting.
Let me tell you.
Shut up, Heather.
So for a brief period of time, I worked in that.
And listen, I did sales.
I've done sales.
I can sell you.
I can.
Caskets, windows.
Casket, windows, training material for your mobile device like i
literally can i've dug ditches i've done it all done you know cleaned out horse stalls
i've done it all not and not even as a youth all those jobs were in my 20 or in my 30s i was gonna
say 30 30s plus you were ripped when you dug ditches though i was and then i ate a lot in my 20s, or in my 30s. I was going to say 30s. 30s plus. You were ripped when you dug ditches, though.
I was.
And then I ate a lot in my...
And whatever
was here, went
here.
Whatever was here, went there.
But, you know, it reminded
me when I left there, it reminded me
of the people that would take advantage of people when they lost a loved one.
Because there's really good people in the funeral business that really are there for the people that lost somebody.
And they really love to care for people that need help in a time of need, you know? And their hearts are in that part
of helping somebody work
through a very difficult time in their life.
And then you got the ones that are the shysters
and they're selling everything left and right at you
because they know in that moment,
you are so vulnerable
because you just lost something of value to you, right?
And that's what I literally thought of when I walked out of that surgeon's office. I was like,
you're a shyster, man, because you're like, you know, people are vulnerable right now because
it's their animal, especially around here. They're older, right? They're older people.
And that's something sometimes that's all they got because they've lost their spouse or whatever.
That animal's it for them.
I'm like, I don't like that.
It literally has bothered me.
I've told Tom, I can't tell you how many times.
I'm like, that's not right.
It's not right.
It's like OJ Simpson bothered me.
I've gotten past OJ Simpson, people.
I'm good now.
But now I'm on to this.
God's going to have to work it out for me.
Do you know what I'm saying?
What happened to OJ Simpson?
He's dead, girl.
Oh.
I didn't know that.
Yeah, he's dead.
How'd he die?
Cancer.
Gone.
Prostate.
That was very abrupt.
Prostate cancer.
Oh, yeah, I'm past it now i was gonna say you were upset
about it i was very bad because heather i was bothered because of if he didn't get his life
right he's not in heaven right that bothered that bothered me it doesn't bother me anymore i have to
i have to work through some things sometimes like it bothers me yeah i'll do just because like it's
life it's people. It's people.
And people think, and it is true, me and Heather are very, we're not cold, but we're just very matter of fact in a lot of things.
But I still feel for people.
Yeah, absolutely.
There's something to be said for righteousness, for principles, for being honorable, like of good character and integrity.
And when people don't, when they go so far to the other side, that bothers me.
Because I feel bad for people who are walking into that place.
But we went to Blue Pearl and it was a whole different experience with our other dog
like they genuinely loved and cared and it was totally different so I'm just saying
I don't like that because you take advantage of people and I don't especially older people I don't
like older people being taken advantage of I just don't because a lot of them are on fixed incomes
or whatever the case may be I don't like like it. So thank you for being my therapist.
Girls, what do you say?
Are you in agreement, Heather?
I am in agreement.
I know you would be because you don't like it either.
I don't.
Listen, we do have souls.
I want to go with you next time.
I'm not going back to that guy.
I'm just saying.
I'm along for the adventure.
Yeah.
I was nice, but I was.
We could do an expose on this place.
Whole pot line on the road and we go and expose him.
The lady at the desk, super, hey, the office staff, cream of the crop.
He's got some phenomenal office staff, even his vet tech, phenomenal.
Kudos to them.
But when I walked out, she could tell my countenance went from being,
she's like, is everything okay?
I'm like, totally fine.
She's like, you're not going to do this?
Absolutely not.
Well, why wouldn't you?
I'm like, are you kidding me?
You're going to charge $2,500.
You ask, I'm going to attack.
You're going to charge $2,500
and you're doing absolutely nothing
to even pretty much get there
and you can't guarantee you're going to solve the problem.
And sometimes they'll do like,
if you pay that, then if you go ahead and go forward with the surgery,
they'll apply that money to the final bill. No, if I showed you it, you would see that there is.
No, I'm not saying this case. I'm saying some do that. Yeah. Yeah. Because the emergency care
vets do do that. They actually show that on the on the bill, how this could if we don't have to
do this, we'll take it off of the
bill. They're very much like, I know exactly what you're saying. Cause that's exactly how they do
it. And they will apply if it has to go to a different place. I totally, that's not this,
which is, thank you for being my therapy. Thank you, Heather, for concurring with me
because I knew you would. You always do on
these things. We do have souls.
We do love and we do care.
It's just not that often.
Sarah,
do you understand?
You want to do the expose.
I'm totally in
on this. I'm figuring out how
we can do this. How can we go mobile?
Don't give her the address. I'm not telling
her. That's boring.
And Talia could care less.
Yeah. I see it
all over her face. Although you do love
my dog. You just don't care about this.
The dog's okay though.
That's ridiculous. The dog looks like
he has mumps. That's it. I just say we do it
ourselves.
Also another live opportunity. Sterumps. That's it. I would say we do it ourselves. Ourselves, yeah. Oh.
Also another live opportunity.
Sterile needle to drain it and rinse it and flush it.
Sorry.
It's kind of gross for people that can't say that. No, because I think they have to cut him, don't they?
You'd have to like anesthetize him somehow.
I don't think that he would just let you do it.
Well, they did get 20 milliliters out of him by just sticking a needle in.
Yeah.
She is right to a certain extent.
With no pain?
No pain, no nothing.
Yeah, because it's just like a shot.
Yeah.
You just go in and then draw it out.
Isn't he gigantic, though?
Yeah, but he's as sweet as pumpkin pie.
And tough, tough, tough.
Okay.
Yeah, he is tough.
She's right about that.
He doesn't have a lot of pain.
He doesn't feel a lot of pain. I've never met the dog, so. Yeah, he's tough. She's right about that. He doesn't have a lot of pain. He doesn't feel a lot of pain.
I've never met the dog, so.
Yeah, he's sweet as pumpkin pie.
I mean, he could kill anything that he don't like, but seriously,
but that has to be another animal.
But people, he's going to love you to death.
All right, we got Jer in the room today.
So he's taking pictures when he should be working but i don't know he's here with us today
just kidding he's lonely he's girl time yeah he misses his wife he needs his girl time
he's missing his woman so we got jare thank you jare for being here and capturing um every moment
of the whole pot line huh he's actually if you can see him right now, he's taking pictures.
See him to the right?
Lean in more, Jer.
Okay.
Oh, do you want to hear mine?
Why am I not surprised?
All righty.
So listen, we've gotten some really great questions.
And I'm saying some really great questions.
Somebody sent in like a hundred.
I'm kidding.
It wasn't a hundred. They sent like. That person needs to read their Bible. I'm sorry. It wasn't a hundred that they sent like.
That person needs to read their Bible.
I'm sorry.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
It wasn't even like that.
They're not, they're not, they're all over the place, Sarah.
Okay.
They're not.
I retract that.
Yeah.
Like they were really good.
Like some people do listen.
Some people do send in a whole bunch of ones like that.
And I'm okay with that.
Maybe it'll inspire them to get into their word.
But, no, these were all over.
They're really good.
They were.
Really good ones.
So I have a bunch that I haven't even answered.
But do send them in because we need them.
Otherwise, we'll make them up.
And they aren't going to be that good.
All right, let's go to the first one.
What do you consider a sin versus just something that God doesn't really like?
Having grown up Catholic, for me, sin was defined by Ten Commandments.
Is that true, Sarah?
Is the ten commandments you grew up Catholic,
the Catholic faith just basically concentrates on the Ten Commandments?
I don't ever remember hearing anything about sin when I was a Catholic.
How old were you until you left the faith?
I think I was like 12.
Oh, okay.
I think a little older than that.
But if this person is an adult that was a Catholic,
it would be, yeah, they probably did hear more than you did.
Yeah, that's true.
Okay. Yeah. Okay, but 14? 12 12 or 14 you never heard the word sin oh and you went through ccd
right not in the catholic church but i got saved when i was 12 a friend invited me to a lutheran
church and that's where i got saved. And did you hear the word sin there?
Is that why? That's a good question.
I just knew.
I was like, whatever they got, I want it.
Interesting.
I don't remember if it was like, oh, I'm a sinner and I need to.
That's a good question.
I'm going to have to.
Ponder that.
I'm going to circle back on that one.
Yeah, get back with me.
It doesn't have to be today. Let's go back to the question. I'm going to have to ponder that. I'm going to circle back on that one. Yeah, get back with me. It doesn't have to be today. Let's go back to the question. Now it would seem to be more that I'm wondering if it is clearly to find somewhere. My friend, it is. I'm going to
help you. I think you've gone over this a little before. I have. But since our Bible study group
and many people we talk to continues to bring it up, I'm going
to ask you if you can clarify it
all. Clarify it
at all. So I wonder what
Bible study. Me too. Very
interesting. Very curious.
None of the ones going on at the church.
What? How would you
know? Because I go to all of them.
How do you know who this person is?
Because I get the all of them. How do you know who this person is? Because I get the emails.
You remember who this is? Because they were great questions. It was just last week. No,
this one wasn't last week. Okay. This one was a long time ago. Okay, just kidding. It's taking
me forever to get to this one. Okay. Okay. The Old Testament has all sorts of rules and a few covenants.
We learn a lot about what God doesn't like.
That's the connection to the first question, and he is very specific at times.
As examples, he didn't want his people to eat pork, and he clearly disliked sodomy.
That is true.
Unless, since we learned from Aaron, husbands and wives can do it.
This husband and wife don't.
And we're back to this again.
I'm just saying.
Minus the fart noises, though, this time.
Thank you, Jesus.
Along comes Jesus and the new covenant.
What rules went away and what stayed?
It seems that we pick and choose based on how we want to live our lives. Now we might turn to these old rules and state that the Bible says no sodomy all while
eating a ham sandwich. I don't think anyone disagrees that the Ten Commandments continue
to apply, but after that it seems a bit gray for at least for someone who is relatively new
to it all. So this person's newly saved. What a great question for somebody who's newly saved,
because obviously don't want to make sure that they stay on the straight and narrow. Yeah.
Which a lot of people don't know. Like, I'm going to tell you right now, there are a lot of people
who aren't newbies in their walks, and they absolutely have no idea what the word of God says
is sin and what's not sin. And they walk around and they sin all day long, and they absolutely have no idea what the word of God says is sin and what's not sin.
And they walk around and they sin all day long and they think they're going to heaven.
And you are accountable.
Okay, you cannot live in sin and think you're going to heaven.
So let's look at this.
So the first, okay, so first of all, the Ten Commandments, you are correct.
It never died.
It is still going strong. Know what we did is we took the Ten Commandments and we are correct. It never died. It is still going strong.
Know what we did is we took the Ten Commandments and we add to it, right? But we don't follow the Levitical law. And the Levitical law was like new moons. It was no
shellfish, like no pork, certain hooved animals you could eat, certain hooved animals you couldn't
eat. And the reason people think that God was like trying to keep people from being able to
eat certain things, because like I love shellfish and some people, you don't just don't want me to
eat it and it tastes good. Well, the reason why you didn't want people to eat shellfish was for
their benefit because they did not have refrigeration.
They didn't have the proper ways of keeping it clean.
You can easily get sick from eating something
that's not either cleaned properly
or has not been stored properly.
So it was a boundary set for you
to protect you from getting sick and ill.
Does that make sense, ladies?
Yes.
Okay. A lot
of people don't know that. But like new moons, we don't observe new moons. Some people will stick to
Levitical laws and they pick and choose the Levitical law they're going to follow.
Like if you're going to do that, you got to follow them all. It's like people who want to be
Christians and they pick and choose the things that they're going to do and they're not going
to do in the list of things that the Lord says,
if you do these things, you'll not inherit the kingdom of heaven.
I'm not going to cheat.
I'm not going to steal, but I am going to fornicate.
Okay, it don't work like that.
You follow all of them or nothing.
And the Levitical law, we do not follow
because we don't sacrifice to animals anymore either.
Okay, so the Ten Commandments still apply
because if you look at the 10 commandments
and you look at the new Testament, the things that the Lord says, if you do these things,
you'll not inherit the kingdom of heaven. They're part of the 10 commandments. So it's super easy,
right? Let's see. I'll go keep going. Soesus redeemed us from that but we but but we have
the new testament and the new testament is very clear on what is sin and what is not sin and i'm
going to give you several um several places in scripture that clearly tell you i mean you're
not going to question whether or not i mean it's easy it's simple it's mean, you're not going to question whether or not,
I mean, it's easy.
It's simple.
It's laid out.
You're not going to sit there and go, after I'm done,
well, is that a sin or is that not a sin?
No, if it's not in these lists, you're fine.
Okay, it's that simple.
So now the works of Galatians 5, 19 through 21.
Now the works of the flesh are evident,
which are adultery, fornication, uncleanness,
lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred.
And people hate all the time.
That's what kills me.
It makes me, I'm like, you know, you're not allowed to hate.
No one. you're not allowed to hate no one you're not you're not
um the word the bible even says if you hate somebody it's as if you want them dead it's like
it's equal to murder okay so it's just like the eyes of the flesh and people are always women are
so quick on uh my husband lusted my husband looked at porn i can he's committed adultery i can leave
him well i would love to say well then you've committed murder because i can promise you
there's somebody you've hated or still do hate i mean do you want that it could be your husband
i'm just saying equal to equal you know what i'm saying yeah is it the same to a certain extent? Yeah. But, but I would dare say you'd rather,
would you rather him send looking at porn or doing the actual act? Which one do you think
is worse? Cause for me, I'm pretty sure the actual act is what is, is called true adultery. And so that one by me, for me by far is the one I'm out,
you know?
So,
so if we're gonna,
if we're gonna,
let's just make sure we're all on the equal playing level.
Okay.
So yes,
lusting is a sin and,
and it is the lust of the flesh is the same as love.
How does that go? Lust of the flesh is the same as, how does that go?
Lust of the flesh is the same as?
It just basically is saying it's equal to adultery.
But I don't know.
I would be hard pressed.
And I even think I read and did some study on this.
And there is, in the Bible, it's the breakdown of different Greek and Hebrew words. And it doesn't mean that just because someone,
a man or a woman, looked at someone lustfully that the opposite sex or the spouse can just
leave because of that. It's not equal to that. It's just saying it's like adultery, but it's not.
Does that make sense, ladies? It does. Okay. I just want to make, because I don't want people
thinking they can run out and now get a divorce over porn.
Or if a guy is on the beach and a woman, the wife sees him staring down a girl in a bikini.
Okay.
You can't leave him.
Sorry.
You can smack him.
Yes.
Yes.
I agree.
I'm all for violence.
But I am not going to allow you to get a divorce.
Throw sand in his eyes.
No divorce.
Help him out.
Just your wrath is fine.
But then it says outbursts of wrath or sin.
So maybe you can't.
So idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies.
People don't even realize that jealousy is a sin and it'll send
you straight to hell jealousy leads to like jealousy will lead to people being violent
jealousy will lead people to kill jealousy will lead people to um like if you're working in a job
to cause you to gossip or to betray jealousy is bad it leads other sin. So outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions,
all of these things are not allowed.
And a lot of people live in them.
Selfish ambitions.
I mean, how many of us do we know?
I do.
How many people do we know that that's all people care about
is how far they can go either in their job or in something like,
if they're in a sport, they're very ambitious
in getting to a certain level in that sport,
and it takes a backseat to the Lord.
And sometimes people will step over people
to get to the next level because they're that ambitious.
Even the ones closest to them.
Oh, yeah, 100%.
And people don't realize all these things,
they're just like gossip, they're just like lying,
they're just like adultery, they're just like fornicating.
All of these things are equal sins in the eyes of the Lord.
And people walk around and they think they're not.
They are.
People do not take their walks seriously. They don't. Dissensions, heresies, envy. People are so envious. I can guarantee you
this. Okay, so Pastor Jonathan and Adalys just got given an $800 and something thousand dollar house,
right? So exciting. Yeah, it's so freaking exciting.
And then she got a new car and new furniture
because they wanted to top it off
and make it a million dollars, right?
You can bet your bottom dollar
that there are other pastors
or other people in ministry
that are so envious right now
and that they don't have a nice word to say
or they have something kind of like snarky.
Do you know what I'm saying?
Or they're waiting to one-up them.
They're envious.
Envy will send you straight to hell.
We are, like, that's our brother and sister in Christ.
We should be excited that the righteous
just won over the wicked.
But we're not.
We think, like, we should get it instead of them.
If you were supposed to get it, you would have.
Believe me, God would have made sure of it.
But you didn't.
And maybe it's because of the attitude that you have right there behind it.
It's not good.
Murderers and everybody's like, yeah, of course a murderer.
We got that one.
But a murderer is We got that one.
But a murderer is no different than somebody who's envious.
You need to remember that.
They're all equal in the eyes of God.
Some of them have different repercussions that you'll suffer based on the sin that you commit.
But they're all sin in the eyes of God.
Drunkenness, revelries, and the like, of which
I tell you beforehand, just as I told you in the time past, that those who practice
such things will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.
I think that's pretty self-explanatory.
Yeah, for sure.
Let's go to 1 Corinthians 6, 9 through 10, because people will say, I just didn't know.
How can you not know?
Not you who asked this question.
You're newly saved. I get it.
There are people that have been saved as long as me and Heather and Sarah and even Talia. Talia
should know this. She's been in church since she was like, I held her as a baby. There's no reason
that Talia should not know this information. It's ridiculous. New believers, I get it. But a seasoned
believer not knowing this stuff, shame on you.
And you'll still be held accountable whether or not you do know it or not.
Because God's not going to let you off the hook.
That's why it says to study to show yourself approved, right?
2 Timothy.
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
So the unrighteous.
So if you're not, if you are practicing these things, you are unrighteous.
Even though you may have said a sinner's prayer.
If you practice these things, you are unrighteous.
You are not righteous.
Do not be deceived.
Neither fornicators nor idolaters.
You know, like God hates being in second place.
Just so you know, whatever you have in front of him,
may it be your kids, your husband, your job, a hobby like golf or boating
or whatever the case may be, whatever it is,
if he is second, he no like.
It's not going to work.
Do not be deceived, nor fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards.
And the thing is, is nor homosexuals.
So I think the reason why, because people will still say,
well, he said sodomites, and he already mentioned homosexuals.
Well, because women aren't sodomites.
Okay?
So that's the reason why he went a little bit more.
If you've ever looked at the Levitical laws, how precise the Lord was,
and even how he built the temple, how the ark was made,
he's down to the details.
He makes sure that we know what his expectation is.
So he's just taking it to the next level to make sure everybody understands.
Okay, I know women, two women together aren't going to be a sodomite.
Okay, but men will.
So he clarifies, nor sodomites, nor thieves,
like the people that go to work and they steal you know like it doesn't matter it's
just a tape dispenser or it's just paper clips or um what do other people people go to work and
they steal crap all the time or you go to the grocery store and you walk through the the food
aisle and you eat the grapes or they have the bulk and you're taking stuff. You're a thief.
You're a thief. You need to know that. It's not yours. You didn't pay for it. You're a thief.
And people are like, it's not that big of a deal. It is that big of a deal. It is. People need to
microscopically look at how they live. And if they they did the church would look a whole different way and we'd be having people on fire for god revival would start in each and every man and woman's
heart and we would be we would be what people want but we don't because we look like everybody
else and people like when tom preaches holiness in the and in in the pulpit, it's too harsh for them.
Why is it too harsh for them?
It shouldn't be.
It's too harsh because their lifestyles are opposite of what I'm teaching you right now.
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners.
People even forget about that.
We'll inherit the kingdom of God.
Let's go on.
Mark 7, 21 through 23.
From within, out of the heart of men, because our hearts are desperately wicked.
Isn't that what it says in the Bible?
Above all things.
Above all things.
So this just is like making it even more clear.
From within, out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts,
adulteries, fornication.
So everything that you start,
like a man doesn't just go out and commit adultery.
It started in his heart.
It starts with an idea.
It starts with the mind that penetrates the heart.
Like a lot of times, it starts with a flirt.
It just doesn't happen overnight, guys.
It all starts somewhere.
And it usually, it's a thought that somebody thinks about.
You have to be taking captive of every single thought
and making sure that it goes along with the word of God.
And if it doesn't, you take that thought
and you get rid of it.
Because if you let that thing fester, it's gonna go straight here. And as soon as it goes here, it's going to
be active in your life. You got to be careful. You guard your mind and you protect your heart.
From within, out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit,
lewdness, an evil eye, even an evil eye.
Hmm.
Isn't that interesting?
Blasphemy, like rolling your eyes or giving somebody a look.
We all know because we've all done it.
We shouldn't be doing it anymore, look we all know because we've all done it we shouldn't be doing it anymore
but we all know blasphemy pride no people don't understand how big pride is in their lives
it's big that's a lot of things that's a lot of times people do not want to examine pride
because they want to excuse it away and listen coming from somebody who has battled pride get rid of it and i battle pride every day
most people do they're just not honest most people uh
i will say this the more win, the less you battle.
From personal experience, I know this.
The more I win, the less I battle.
But the battle is not fun in the beginning.
But it is necessary.
Foolishness, all these evil things come from within and defile a man.
So that right there, 2 Timothy 3, 1-5.
Perilous times and perilous men.
But know this, that in the last days of perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves. And that's not saying like, you should love yourself. Because like Tom preached on Sunday,
how can you love your neighbor if you don't love yourself? You have to love yourself. But that's not where you're conceited. The love of yourself isn't to a place that is harmful
to you and to others, okay? That's what this is talking about, where you love yourself so much,
you'll make sure that you get to the place, you climb the ladder, you get to the place that you
want to go no matter who you have to walk on to get there.
Lovers of money.
We're seeing all these things right now.
If you look at the globalists, they're lovers of themselves.
They call themselves the elite, and we're like the peasants.
It's not good.
Lovers of money.
Boasters.
Proud.
Blasphemers., disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.
And most people unthankful.
Make sure that you are not unthankful. And we are living in a world, in a society, that people are not grateful for squat.
They are an unthankful people.
It's an expectation.
It's an entitlement mentality. That's an unthankful people. It's an expectation. It's an entitlement
mentality. That's very dangerous. Very dangerous. Unholy, unloving, unforgiving, and so much you
forgive, you are forgiven. Remember that. Slanderers, without self-control, brutal,
despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty,
lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
loving a form of godliness but denying its power.
That's the church today.
Big time.
And from such people turn away.
So if you're supposed to be like them,
if they were going in the right direction,
Paul would have said to Timothy, be like them.
But he's telling you, don't even hang out with them.
They're not good.
Revelation 21.8.
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable murderers, sexually immoral,
sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, and all liars, I'm going to hit on two right now.
Well, I should hit on three, really.
Cowardly.
Let's look at when you're afraid to stand up and speak the truth to somebody about maybe something that,
for example, a few days ago, I was with a friend,
and we saw another friend.
And one is living in a lifestyle that is not conducive with Christianity.
Although, I won't say that this person believes they're saved but I believe at
one time they believed they were saved and they were hoping they could live both dual lifestyles
and in that conversation I was propelled to speak the truth that was received well
but most people would have never said what I said. They wouldn't because they would consider it to be harsh
or they would consider it to be too strong of a word
or they'd be too afraid
because they wouldn't want to hurt the person's feelings
or they would lose that friendship.
There's a lot of reasons why people are afraid.
Afraid to stand up, afraid to do what is right. COVID taught us that. People wore the mask
not because they were afraid of getting sick. And I remember telling this to Tom because Tom,
when we were, when it first started going on, he and I were just driving down the road and he was
like, I can't believe all these people are afraid to be, to get sick. That's why they're wearing the
mask. So they thought, Tom, they're not afraid of being sick.
They wear those masks because he wasn't going
out into the stores. He didn't know
the numbers of people until we were
telling him. He's like, I can't
believe all these people aren't doing the research. And I'm like,
they're not afraid of being sick. They are afraid
of what others will say and do to them.
That's the reason why they wear the
mask. That's why they're compliant.
That's what all of these people in the in the political realm and and in a
part of the agenda that's what they knew they knew that society is weak and it
will fall into line and do whatever they're told because they don't want to
face the repercussions of everybody else that is falling in line and what they'll say and
do to them. So out of fear and being a coward, they put the mask on. That's the real reason why.
And that is why Tom is so diligent about telling people and reminding people to either not follow
somebody that didn't stand up against COVID, people who didn't say they were wrong, don't follow them because they will fall prey, which may cause you to fall prey.
But if you say I was wrong, I should have like that was me.
I wore the mask.
I did get vaccinated.
I did do the six feet apart.
I didn't get to see my grandparents
because I wouldn't do this and that or whatever. If you, you, you're already susceptible. The,
the only way to make yourself incapable of doing that again is when you look at yourself in the
mirror and go, I was wrong.
Like I have to take responsibility for that.
I will never do that again.
That keeps you from repeating a pattern.
Okay.
That's what makes you change.
And people will not go to heaven that are cowards.
If you can't stand up against, you know, COVID and not wearing a mask and being afraid of what other people will say to
you, you're not going to make it. It's not possible. How can you even share the gospel if
you're like, how do you, how do you, I question whether or not you truly share the gospel with
people, honestly, because you were willing to put the mask on. Does that make sense, ladies? Yeah, 100%. Like, it makes no sense. Unbelieving. This is, when it says unbelieving right here,
it goes cowardly and unbelieving. People think that they believe, and I'm gonna, I'm gonna,
actually, I, in my heart of hearts, I know Sarah has something good to say about this.
So just listen to what the Holy Spirit has for you, okay? Unbelieving. When people
are unbelieving, that is unbelieving about the Lord Jesus Christ himself. They say they believe,
and they say that they are Christians, but they don't. They're unbelieving because they don't
believe in any of the gifts. They don't practice any of the gifts. And then on top of them, on top of that, they badmouth the gifts.
Or they say they were for days of old.
Unbelieving.
That pertains to believers that claim that they believe, but they really are unbelieving.
Do you know what I'm saying?
Do you feel like you have something to say about that?
I have a lot to say about all of this. I'm studying fruit of the spirit,
which is the opposite of everything that we're talking about.
Right.
So I think the main thing is whatever you're focused on,
you're going to get more of.
So that keeps coming to me is like,
if you're always like looking at all of the bad things and all of that, then you're going to be gravitated toward that.
That's why you have to magnify the Lord and what Jesus did, because Jesus became sin so that we would be the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.
Right. condemnation and there is there you know there are no condemnation for those in christ jesus who
walk not according to the flesh right but according to the spirit right so condemnation will say you
lied you're a liar that's it you're worthless but you're worthless right he comes like a light
so he'll make you believe right the lie because he he sounds good while he's saying it
where even though it's a lie conviction will say don't you remember who you are and you don't you
don't do that anymore and it's an empowering place where you don't want to do those things anymore
because you know in whom you have believed and you are persuaded that he is able to keep that
which you've committed to him until that day.
So it's about magnifying the Lord
and then you don't even think about those things.
And if you do mess up or you do make a mistake,
then it's like course correction, keep going.
Not, oh, I did that again.
What am I going to do?
But I want to go back to something you said,
because truthfully, it is condemnation or it is conviction,
and you need to know where they're coming from.
That's why I said that.
Satan always is coming at you to make you believe you're condemned,
meaning worthless, useless.
What do you do to a building that is no longer useless?
You condemn it. So that's what he wants to do with you. Whose word or who are you going to believe?
Are you going to be the lies of the enemy who make you, because we have people who leave this church
and go, he made me feel condemned. Was it really him making you feel condemned? Or was it the Holy
Spirit trying to convict you and you bought the lie that Satan was telling you
that you're condemned?
Probably because they were walking in the flesh.
Because when you're in the flesh,
then you condemn yourself.
Yeah.
When you hear the word.
You can believe a lie.
Right.
When you're hearing the word and you're not doing the word,
you literally deceive yourself.
And that's where when you're like,
oh, well, now I'm condemned.
Well, that's your fault.
But the Holy Spirit brings conviction.
Right.
So it's one or the other.
It's either you're being carnal or you're listening to the lies of the enemy.
And listen, I mean, if you study anything about Satan, he doesn't sound like that.
He sounds sweet.
He doesn't come to you like this ferocious, vicious beast that he is.
But I mean, he really isn't because he's like a roaring lion. He's not a roaring lion. He
pretends to be something he's not. He's been put in his place. We have authority over that,
but a lot of people don't walk in that they don't realize that and so you'll
listen to that sweet sound that is a spirit of confusion that is alive from the pit of hell
or you'll listen to the holy spirit who sweetly convicts you both of them are sweet you just got
to learn to hear the voice and hear it correctly conviction is powerful it won't it will propel
you to change uh satan comes to convict or condemn excuse me
and then he'll make you feel like you're there's there's no way out there's you it's this is your
life this is your destiny you're you're never going to be more than this yeah you can't change
you're never going to change you're always going to be this way exactly which is a lie
from the pit of hell and that the holy spirit always has an answer he always has an
answer he has always got a plan for you and to to be better to come out from where from where you
are it's just you just have to be able to decipher the voices and the closer you get to him like
she's saying the more you magnify the lord the more easily you hear those voices and you can distinguish who's talking to you.
The other one that I was going to talk about is, I can't remember.
We're going to keep going.
Liars is what I was going to talk about.
Lots of people believe that white lies are okay.
They are not okay.
Just tell the truth.
And that's being a coward again when you refuse to tell the truth
and you would rather do a white lie.
You're a coward, okay,
because you're too afraid to tell somebody the truth.
There is a nice way and a mean way.
Figure out the nice way to tell somebody
God's honest truth.
But don't be a coward.
You're not going to, if you can't even,
literally, it blows my mind
that people are so afraid to even tell the truth.
You'll go straight to hell for being a coward.
That's what it says.
Clearly says, all liars, excuse me,
but the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable murderers,
sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters,
and all liars shall have their part in the lake
which burns with fire and brimstone,
which is the second death.
Quit being a daggum coward.
It's going to get you nowhere.
And people who lie,
they lie because they're afraid to tell the truth.
That's the truth.
What were you going to say?
Yeah.
So yesterday or Tuesday, yeah, we were at Vanessa's and Galena didn't have any makeup on.
And Tara says to her, oh, you don't have any makeup on.
You're glowing.
You look so pretty.
I was like, girl, I think you look a little rough.
And you know that Galena
said to me, thank you for like being honest. And when we are that way, then people know that they
can trust us too. 100%. But Tara's not a makeup girl. No, no. And her, she probably thought she
really thought she did. I told Tara, I said, you have a deeper revelation of God's love than I do at this point right now.
Because I'm just looking at her like, girl, you're a fucking ratchet.
Tara never wears makeup.
So to her, she probably prefers nobody in makeup.
And that to her is probably more beautiful than all of us that have our makeup on.
But I got to have it, Tara.
I'm sorry.
Especially this right here.
This girl's got to be wearing makeup on. But if somebody asks you, especially. I'm sorry especially this right here this girl's gotta be wearing makeup but if
somebody asks you especially I'm telling the truth they're getting the truth I hate I mean
sometimes I'm like oh gosh please don't ask me right I'm not the one go to somebody else
not Heather don't go to Heather don't go to heather don't go to heather no yep don't go to heather don't go to me i always
say go to sarah i always say are you sure you want me to tell you the truth yeah because you
can take your question back if you'd like and we just won't answer it yeah but i'm coming yeah i
try and be nice yeah for sure but there's really like how do you let somebody down easily especially if they're
like how do i look thin in this dress no god bless no i don't even know how you can ask me that
question and also i see ripples and dimples if i see ripples and dimples what are you why are you
asking me that but people will and it's like and when you know the truth it's just you're hoping somebody will
set you free from that tight dress that you're wearing listen i don't know this like and then
they get offended because you told them the truth what's their problem because i tell you the truth
you do not believe me as jesus said yeah believe me. I'm telling you the truth.
Matthew 5, 28.
But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her
has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
So you committed it in your heart, but you didn't do the physical act.
That's the scripture.
I believe that's the scripture if you study it out.
That doesn't mean that you can get a divorce because it's not as equal to the physical adultery.
Romans 1, 29 through 31 says,
Being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness.
People are malicious.
Malicious. maliciousness people are malicious malicious and they think like people like when they want to like
cut somebody hard they'll be malicious and what they say to their face or behind their back okay
first of all if you're saying it behind their back you're gossip so that's one sin and then
you're being malicious about them that's number two sin How you think you're going to heaven? I just don't know. I don't
know. Maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife. People love to cause strife. It says in the
scripture that God hates a man who causes division. And people do it all the time. People are so divisive, so divisive.
Just so you know, God hates you.
He does not like that.
That is powerful.
Evil mindedness.
They are whisperers.
Gotta love the whisperers.
They're precious.
Backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters,
inventors of evil things, disobedient boasters, inventors of evil things,
disobedient to parents, inventors of evil things like vaccinations.
Guys, I'm not kidding you.
This is like God knew.
God knew.
Disobedient to parents.
Kids who are not obedient to their parents, okay, just so you know,
that's a sin.
You can't be.
You don't get to make that decision.
Undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, and unmerciful.
Okay, there's so many more.
I'm going to stop right there because I think pretty much,
like, if you don't know what it is now, I don't know how i'm gonna help you right like this is like
Broken down pretty clear. Some of them are even repetitive
You can look up more but if you stuck to these things you'd be safe
And everybody is going well, there's a lot
Yeah, there is a lot and a lot of us live like this on a daily basis
and think nothing of it.
Nothing of it.
They expect they're going to heaven.
That's why the road, it says there's a broad road
and a narrow gate
because most people are walking that broad road.
Hebrews 10, 26 through 27 says,
For if we sin willfully, pay attention to this, guys,
because this goes against a few denominations' doctrines.
But we don't follow a doctrine.
We follow the word of God.
It says, For if we sin willfully,
after we have received the knowledge of the truth.
So if you continue to sin sin after you have become saved,
there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.
You're basically throwing everything that Jesus did on the cross right in his face,
is what it's saying.
But a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation,
which will devour the adversaries.
So don't think you're going to heaven.
But the Amplified for Romans 6, 1 through 7 is amazing.
It says, what shall we say to all this?
Should we continue to sin and practice sin as a habit
so that God's gift of grace may increase and overflow?
That's a question mark.
Certainly not.
How can we?
The very ones who died to sin continue to live in it any longer?
Or are you ignorant of the fact that all of us
who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
We have therefore been buried with him through baptism into death
so that just as Christ was raised from the dead
through the glory and power of the Father,
we too might walk habitually in newness of life,
abandoning our old ways.
That's why I say every single time when we do the salvation call,
you're not going in the same direction anymore.
You can't. It's not possible.
You're going now opposite. Your old ways are gone. You got to put on the new ways. You are a new
creation in Christ. All things have passed away. All things become new. Continues,
for if we have become one with him, permanently united in the likeness of his death,
we also certainly be one with him and share fully in the likeness of his resurrection.
We know that our old self, our human nature without the Holy Spirit,
was nailed to the cross with him.
How can you live like that, a sinful life,
and be put on the cross with him, like this says, when no sin is in him,
but you're okay, you're allowed to do sin. No, because it says now you're like him,
in order that our body of sin might be done away with so that we no longer be slaves to sin.
For the person who has died with Christ has been freed from the power of sin. So you can't sin. Now, are you going
to make mistakes here and there? Struggle with it here and there? Yes, probably. But when you concede
and you live like that and you say, this is just, this is just me. This is how it's going to be.
You don't get drunk every night, but on the weekends, party time, sorry, you're not going to heaven.
Because you've made a decision that on the weekdays, you're not going to get drunk.
But on the weekend when it comes, game on.
You have made a decision to live a certain way.
That doesn't flow.
It's not going to work.
Matthew 5, 48,
Amplified says,
you therefore will be perfect,
growing into spiritual maturity,
both in mind and character,
actively integrating godly values
into your daily life
as your heavenly father is perfect.
So are we supposed to be perfect
as he is perfect?
Yes, we are.
And people go,
well, I can't be perfect.
That's not what that just perfect. That's not what that
just said. That's not what that just said. You absolutely can because he's given you the ability.
He's given you the power and the authority to be perfect just as he is. You certainly can.
But you know how it doesn't happen? Is when you don't pay attention to the word of God.
You don't read it. It's not number one.
The way you want to live is still number one.
And you treat your Christianity like it's a hobby.
That's what most people do.
Most people treat their Christian walk as it's a hobby of theirs.
Guess what?
It's not.
It's your primary job. Your Christianity, your walk with. It's your primary job.
Your Christianity, your walk with God is your primary job.
In your, you know, like, like Jer has his own business.
Jer's primary job is to be a Christian.
His business is number two.
That's how that works.
When I say his, I know his wife is number two. That's how that works. When I say his,
I know his wife is number two, okay?
And his kids are number three.
I'm just saying, in general,
we're talking about primary jobs.
The primary job is God.
Then your secondary is your profession, okay?
Not the profession over your Christian walk.
That's not how people treat it, though.
You'll never miss a day at work, but you'll
certainly miss Sunday church.
Go ahead, what were you going to say?
Yeah, or they just
go to God when they are in trouble
and they need something. Then it's like,
oh, now I need to read my Bible and pray
because things in my life
are... Suck. Yeah.
They suck.
I hear it all the time. I see it all the time i see it all the time that's when they buckle down
is when things are rough and then things go back to normal and they're like back to their old tricks
back to their old ways it don't work like that god is not going to be something you put on the
shelf okay he's not and you're going to find that out the hard way or the easy way. But I made a list of things that are second.
Your kids, your spouse, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your hobby, your sports.
They all take a back seat.
Every single last one of them.
Nobody, no thing takes his spot ever.
And either he's the Lord of your life or he's not.
And how you treat him, where his placement is,
shows whether he is the Lord of your life.
And I'm just saying to you,
there's going to be a lot of people who are shocked on the day of judgment
or the day that they pass because they are so disillusioned
in how they really live their lives as Christians.
People should really question whether they're a Christian or not. You really need to evaluate
whether you really are a believer or not. Matthew 7, 13 through 14 says,
Enter through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate, and broad and easy to travel
is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss.
And there are many who enter through it.
But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to
everlasting life.
And there are few who find it like cowards.
Okay, it just said, but small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the
path.
It might be a little bit difficult for you to travel down that little path that makes you not be able to lie and tell people
things that they need to hear, that you're afraid to tell them because you're a coward, or to stand
up to things that you need to stand up to. It's difficult. That road is difficult because you have
to have an integrity and character. You can't just be like everybody else.
But I promise you this.
Most people are walking, and I said this last week,
most people are walking the broad road thinking they're entering through the narrow gate.
And they are going to be shocked when they either, you know, Christ returns or they pass.
Because they've made their own choices and they're going to want to blame somebody.
And all you're going to be able to do is look at yourself in the mirror and see that you wasted a lot of time making you the Lord of your life versus him and allowing sin to run rampant in your life because you chose to not pay attention to what the word of God says about having sin active in your life.
Amen?
Does anybody want to add anything to that?
I think you hit it right on the head there.
What you got?
I know.
And that's good.
That's fine.
I don't care if you have something to say for the last one.
It doesn't bother me.
It's Romans 14, 23 says that anything that is not faith is sin.
So that's why we have to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness.
And then all these things will be added.
So if it's not faith, it's's sin and how do we get faith by hearing and hearing from the word of god so if you're not like seeking after him
and digging in your word to like know him more and know the power of his resurrection
then you're gonna be walking in sin.
You can't have it both ways.
You can't have it both ways.
It doesn't work like that.
And people want to live as close to the line as they possibly can
so that they can have that lifestyle of compromise
because they feel like that's living life. The reason you feel like that
is because you're devoid of God for the most part, and you've never really given him a full chance.
You never have. And it goes along with some of the questions that we have. Um, and also what
I'm going to talk about, um, on Friday night, but those who like are seeking first the kingdom of heaven,
those people, those of us that are going after it,
I can't imagine living a life of compromise because it's putrid to me.
There's nothing appealing to it.
There is so much richness, so much goodness.
And the blessings do not stop when you are seeking him first. Like you don't
want to get caught up into the distractions of, of the nonsense and the minutia that people thrive
on the whisperings of others, the divisiveness that people thrive on. The reason they thrive
on those things is because they have no power. They have no power.
And that's their entertainment.
But the power,
you want to talk about entertainment.
You want to talk about life.
It's like none other.
To see God work in your life like that
and to feel his presence so strongly like that,
there is no liquor, no drug, no like, you know how anxiety, people get addicted to anxiety
because it creates, what is it called, endorphins or something? Is that correct?
Adrenaline.
Adrenaline, yeah. Oh, dopamine. It creates this thing in them that they grow accustomed to it. But once you've experienced the Holy Spirit to a certain level,
you're just like, I got to have more of that.
And then you're like, I got to have more of that.
It's unstoppable.
The rest of it's crap.
That's what it is.
It's just a whole bunch of crap.
But people don't want to walk in the power because they don't want to do what it takes.
And so the other is easy. But people don't want to walk in the power because they don't want to do what it takes.
And so the other is easy. But it's miserable. You just don't know it because you're used to it.
It's the way it is. So all right, I'm going to pray for the people. Listen, I'm sure there are people that are either watching this live or will watch it later. And you're like looking at yourself
going, I'm, I'm one of those things on that that list or I'm a couple of those things on the list.
And some of you might be, I'm all of those things on that list.
But the great thing about God is that's all fixable.
It's easy peasy.
Like it's as easy as saying the sinner's prayer, getting your life right,
going the opposite direction, making him Lord of all.
And then like a new life begins for
you. You don't have a care in the world after this. So say this prayer with me really quickly.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for what you did on that cross for me. I thank you for dying for my
sins. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. I live for you. I make my life yours. You tell me to do something, I'm doing it.
You tell me not to do something, I'm not doing it. I will study the word. I'll become the person
that you have called me to be. And I will actively work for you from this moment forward.
In Jesus' mighty name we pray. Amen. You are saved.
You are ready to go.
Listen, seriously, get in the word.
Become strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.
And then start walking out your calling that he has for you.
You think being saved is great.
Walk in his calling.
And oh my gosh, there's nothing like it.
There's nothing like it.
We will see you Friday.
Thank you for tuning in and be blessed. Thanks for watching!
