What the fuck did you do?
What did you do?
I ask you one thing to watch the white walls, yeah?
No, first of all, mate, you got me doing all the driving here,
driving you're driving you around like you miss fucking daisy,
just because you've had one too many shandies
and you look and you smell like shit.
Then you have me take point on a job I've never even done before,
and then, after dodging bullets,
I get attacked by a couple of the biggest bastards
I've ever seen before I'm alive,
and it's not even fucking noon yet.
So forgive me for not giving a shit
about the white walls on this fucking...
fucking boats. What's up everybody? Nes here. The action returns. Quick review. I want to start
doing some of these. Kind of fell down the Scott Adkins hole. I watched one movie of Brian
I are going to recover, so I won't bring that up. But then when that movie was over,
uh, if you like that one, you're like this. I went, oh, okay. Scott Atkins is, is raw.
is awesome.
So is he the greatest actor?
No, but he can kick ass.
And that's enough for me.
Especially if you like this.
He's got like a ton of shoot him up, kick ass, everybody in the room.
Save the Girl, Save the World type of movies.
But this one, I wasn't expecting a buddy comedy quotes.
I just thought it was going to be shoot him up and beat up everyone in the room.
room. I just figured it was going to be one of those
movies, but it was far from that.
Yeah, of course, all that
happens, but, I mean, this one
was, it was funny when
it meant to be funny.
Oh, I should tell you the movie,
the name of the movie. The film
is called the debt collector.
There's someone with big
balls in the fast fist. Well, lucky for you,
I got both of a moment. Oh, have you now?
Yeah. You ever driven a car like this before?
I haven't even ever seen a car like this before,
mate.
Do me fail.
Watch the white bolts.
$17,500.000.
We're here to see Oliver.
You have the wrong house.
Go after them.
Charming.
Were you hit?
No.
And go after him.
It's all we're supposed to be debt collectors, yeah?
We didn't collect anything.
I got this skinny, charming, Irish, mother.
But you cannot steal.
But both are fabulous.
The boys will fight.
You see my suit.
It's the cheapest suit I've ever seen.
I wouldn't mind too much about that.
Where I can find Connor Molligan.
That's the time to be sensible.
Come in, you.
What don't you do?
I ask you one thing to watch the white walls.
Yeah?
A classically trained martial art artist goes to work as a mob debt collector.
The job seems easy enough until a client drags him into a situation deeper than could ever,
deeper than could ever be anticipated.
This is written and directed by Jesse V. Johnson, also written by Stu Small and this stars.
Scott Atkins is French, Lewis, Mandelora, Sue, the great Michael Paray as Mad Alex,
David will know as Roger
Vladimir
Colich as Big Tommy
and the great
Tony Todd
Candyman is in this as well
and he plays
I don't know why he's not
like top build over some of these other
actors I never even heard of
I mean there's a
oh Tony Todd plays Barbosa
Oh, also Robert Rustler, Hook, from Thrashing.
He's in this as Tarva.
It was cool to see him pop in.
He's only in like one scene, but I mean, that was enough for me.
Robert Rustler, he's awesome.
But this film, I won't give away the end because it leads into a part two of this film called debt collectors, plural.
I'll talk about that one on another episode.
But this one, Scott Adkins, he, French, he is a, he owns a martial arts school.
I want to say jujitsu, but I don't remember.
And he is, well, hold on, let me read this other thing.
French is a martial arts artist that takes a job as a mob debt collector in order to make ends meet.
He does whatever it takes to chase down individuals that owe money to Tommy until he meets a
bartender that makes him question whether he should do the right thing.
French needs money to pay off his debts and enlist his partner's help.
French quickly finds out that they can't trust no one in this game.
So that's pretty much the film.
He is just trying to make ends meet and own his little martial arts school.
But some guys come and hey man, we need our money.
You need you need to pay your rent.
You haven't paid.
over long and if you don't give us the money man we're gonna have to break something so we get a cool
little martial arts fight scene in the beginning Michael Paray is in there he's one of his uh students
and he sees that uh french can kick ass so he kind of like hey man you know what um
i know you need money because if he was there Michael parre's character was there that that whole
time watching and listening to everything so he goes hey man it looks like you can need some money
I can help you.
You can make some,
do some little side hustle for me.
All you got to do is collect from all these deadbeats that my boss,
that owes my boss,
which is Candyman.
He's only Candyman in my eyes, Barbosa.
So he's kind of like,
I know who you are,
talking about Michael Peret's character,
Mad Alex.
And he's like,
but he's up against the ropes, man.
He needs money to,
keep his school going to pay the bills.
And hey, we all got to pay the bills.
So he's kind of like, all right.
He goes, you know what?
I'm going to bring my buddy into this, Louis Mandelor, Sue.
I loved Louis Mandelor in my big fat Greek wedding and whatever the second one was called.
I think, was it a third one?
There was even a TV show, which I enjoyed.
Didn't last long.
But anyway.
So this is when their adventure begins.
They go, say, okay, you got a couple days to get money from all these people.
So what they do is other than they just talk shit back and forth.
They're like, all right, well, are we going there?
Because Sue, he's an ex-boxer.
So he can kick ass as well.
So they're kind of like, all right, man, let's go.
So each person they go to try to collect money, they got to deal with the attitudes of people
don't want to give up the money.
Next thing you know,
they're fighting,
they're chasing people,
they're getting into shootouts
and everything.
The thing that was funny is,
though,
is when Scott Atkins' character,
French,
before he started it all,
they kind of told him like,
look, man, you've got to look apart.
I know you can kick ass and you look tough,
he goes, but you got to look apart.
So get a suit.
So he gets this nice little suit.
He doesn't really know exactly
what he's going to have to do,
but he kind of wears a suit the whole movie,
and it just gets beat up
and torn
and everything through the whole film.
I mean, he eventually gets rid of it.
But so that's pretty much what they're doing.
Every time they try to go collect money from somebody,
something happens.
Something goes sideways to where they got a fight to where,
just to get the money from the people they owe.
So it's that type of film.
Again, I won't give away the ending because what happens in this film leads into the second one.
I was kind of shocked because I was like the way this one ended you kind of like, whoa, it was kind of like a downending and
I thought that was it. I didn't know there was going to be another one and then course when the movie's over
Hey, if you like this one, you'll like this and then I see debt collectors and I'm like wait what?
So I immediately went to that one and I'll talk about that one next time. But if you are interested in watching this, it is on prime or if you have YouTube premium
I see both of the film.
Both of the movies are on Prime
and both of them are on,
if you have YouTube,
YouTube premium is both on there.
But this one,
I mean,
you get what you get with Scott Adkins.
I mean,
he's a good actor.
People are calling this a B movie,
but I wouldn't.
I like these type of thing.
It was something that went straight to VOD
or straight to Netflix or whatever,
one of those type of films.
But again,
I mean,
Scott Askins has got a,
he's got a huge,
huge following of fans that love his films and watch everything.
And I didn't realize how many movies this guy's got.
And he's got a ton of them.
Also,
the director has worked with him on multiple films.
So you just got to check out, fall down that Scott Adkins hole and see everything.
Again, there is still tons of movies that I have not seen of his.
So I'm probably going to watch those.
and and uh who know he and Brian and I maybe uh review some of them but there is one that we are
gonna review um I'll save that for when we get to it but yeah that movie's pretty awesome but yeah
the debt collector again if you like Scott Atkins films I mean it's not that big of a story
I mean you watch him for the for the ass kicking and you get plenty of that in this one but again
I didn't realize it was going to be like a buddy comedy type of thing because when those two
are talking and going back and forth
even some of the situations they get into
when they're beating everyone up and everything
I mean things are funny
in the film so but
I really enjoyed this film
I'd watch I'd watch both of them again
but yeah that was
2018's The Debt Collector
If I sold it to you
Definitely check it out again
If you have YouTube premium it's on there
As well as Amazon Prime
So definitely check those out
But all right everyone
That's gonna be it for this little quick little review
and I'm out of here. I'll probably find some more Scott acting films or whatever and
Let you guys know all right everyone. I'm out of here. So next time next time be safe out there and party on
