The Karate Kid!
Hey, Barney, it's Ralph.
Listen, it's always flag.
No!
I hate Ralph Machio!
I hate him, hate him, hate him!
He is not the Karate Kid!
The Karate Kid was William Zauka,
star pupil of the Kobriky Dojo,
whom this monster defeated with a cheap, illegal head kick
in the most tragically haunting film ending of all time.
And returns.
I'm your host, Brian, and with me is someone that always remembers to strike first, strike hard, definitely.
There's no mercy.
My co-host has.
What's up, man?
Oh, man, I'm good, man.
How you doing?
It's freezing down here.
What about up there?
It is ridiculously cold right now.
I think we're getting into the, it's going to be the coldest weeks out of the whole winter.
here the next week or two.
He has in the negatives.
Yeah, last time I checked
with negative 15.
Well, we're 23.
It's cold.
It's cold as you guys.
We get the negatives, but
maybe
every other year we break
the double digits, but it's usually
just maybe negative
five at the cold.
Been a...
Twenty-three.
I'm wearing shorts.
I'm ready to put my sweatshirt on.
I had the heater on in here for a minute, but then turned it off.
I'm ready to put my sweatshirt on.
Because I'm on the side of the house that gets the sun first thing in the morning.
So by the time it goes down, it's freezing on this side.
Oh, man.
But everyone, thank you so much for listening to the first two parts of this.
uh, karate kid retrospective. Um, uh, a friend of mine, he or she listened to the,
the last one we did because she is a fan of the next karate kid. And she goes,
why did you guys hate it so much? I'm like, did you watch the three movies before?
He was, well, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm like, uh, I was like, uh, what did you like about it?
I said they didn't even show anything.
I asked my daughter as well.
She was like,
I was good.
All right.
Two each is on, I guess.
My wife seen the posting of it and asked,
why did we even review that movie?
Well, we had to.
We didn't want to.
We had to.
Oh,
well,
we're here this episode to talk about
the awesomeness that is
Cobra Kai.
Fighting positions.
I just don't know why you'd ever want to bring
back Cobra Kai.
We're not trained to be merciful here.
Mercy is for the weak.
You may know the moves,
but none of that matters unless you have balance.
In the fist.
Yes, yes, sir.
Johnny.
And I this we aren't done.
Were you, when you first heard about the show, were you anticipating it or were you kind of like, uh, why they got to make show out of it?
No, not me, man.
I was hyped.
Uh, the first picture I saw, I don't even know what I was on.
I think we're just scrolling around and I saw it.
And I was like, wait, what?
I was like, what's this?
And then I clicked on it and then they showed some pictures.
The first picture I saw was Daniel and Johnny standing in a Cobra Kai Dojo looking at each other.
And I was like, oh, dude, I got goosebumps thinking about it.
And I was like, damn, I can't wait for this.
And then I was hyped.
Try to get the Zizi to watch it.
And he still hasn't seen any of you.
I'm like, dude, you watch all this other bullshit.
You can't watch this.
What?
So I think the next up to the challenge that the East Society does, I'm going to have to have him do this.
Because he's challenged me to numerous television shows, and I had to watch the whole season.
So I'm going to get him with this one.
I'm saying, no, you need to watch the whole thing.
And then we'll talk about it because he's just, I don't know why he can.
I mean, he watches a lot of good stuff and everything, but he's more into the reality shows later.
lately. That's the stuff I can't get into. But this, man, I was all on board. Um, just loving the
films, except for the last one. And just, I couldn't wait. I think it was just more of
growing up with these characters and just wanting to see if they can do it or if was it
going to be stupid. I mean, I wasn't sure. I was excited. And then when the trailer came out,
I was like, oh, man, this looks hell of good.
And then I was still like, I hope it's good and it stays good.
Because I still wasn't really sure the anticipation for the show.
And then when it finally came out, luckily my son had YouTube bread or YouTube premium, whatever they're calling it.
He had it.
So I was able to sit down and watch it.
My wife, she knows karate kids.
So I said, do you want to watch it?
this you can give it a shot that first episode we were hooked and I was glad that the whole season was dropped all at once not every week so we just zip through that whole first season and not we I was just oh my God I couldn't believe and then when I got to the end of season one and that blew my mind I was like oh my God I just couldn't believe that this half hour show
was going to be so awesome.
Ralph Machio and William Zabka always been acting still.
I mean, I think I've seen more Williams-Zabka pop up and things here and there.
And I think he was in that one show.
That last season, how I met your mother playing himself.
That's just what I heard.
I haven't really dove into that show.
But I was like, is it going to be about them?
But then when we see all these other little kids or teenagers, I was like,
okay. I mean, it's going to be like that. So then
watch the show and I was blown away. I just
could not believe how awesome the show is.
And much less, we got three seasons now.
Season four is greenlit and I
I can't wait. I can't. What did you think about it? I mean,
when you first heard about it.
I have to be honest, when I first heard about it,
I was kind of like, I don't know about this.
But then when I heard they were bringing Ralph Machio and Williams-Zalka back, I was like, okay, I'm a little bit more on board.
But when they then said it was going to be from the point of view of Johnny and Cobra Kai, I was like, okay, I'm on board.
And yeah, every season that has came out has not disappointed, in my opinion.
And every season was been watched, Ben's watched in the first day each season.
I love the characters.
I love the callbacks.
I mean, they, they brought characters back that I didn't even think they would even get.
Or if they were going to do those characters, I wasn't sure they were going to get the same actors.
And they did not disappoint.
And I liked progression of the story because they're not given.
too much. They're spacing it out. They're not hitting you with everything all at once.
And yeah, I love this show. This is like one of the best shows. I don't even know how long.
That that's just really struck a chord with me. It just speaks to my childhood. And I love the,
like I said, the progression of Johnny and also the progression of Daniel. Because we kind of see where they are after all this.
time and things are kind of switched.
And I just love the whole storytelling of it.
Yeah.
Quick little synopsis.
34 years after the events of the 1984 All-Valley Karate Tournament,
a down-and-out Johnny Lawrence seeks redemption by reopening the infamous
Coburkai Dojo, reigniting his rivalry with a now successful Daniel
LaRuso. That was pretty much the first season. I mean, dealing with them before we're introduced to Miguel and Sam and Hawk and Eli and all the rest of them. But with a new addition of all these teenagers, but they were all pretty much in their 20s. So, but I was like, okay. I mean, I did love the, like you said, how we're seeing it in Johnny's.
eyes now and how he saw the events that unfolded in the first film and I love that how they
kept showing all the flashbacks uh from the first film uh as as well as the music I mean the 80s
music was just blasting through this and I love that the Johnny is a kid of the 80s and he's still
stuck in the 80s like I am and I was just like no no you're you're not like him he's
Daniel kicked him so hard.
He is clueless on anything that is not from the 80s.
But his music tastes mainly, I mean, even in this last, in the third season,
bringing Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister in.
But the music he was listening to, I mean, the very beginning,
the first 80s song that they pump into this is poison.
Ain't nothing but a good time from Look with the Cat.
No, it wasn't Look with the Cat dragged in.
It was the second.
Open up and say I think.
But and then playing rat, lay it down and just the shit that he was listening to throughout the whole all three seasons.
And like we had mentioned in the first one, I mean, he was one of the little spoiled rich kids.
But we didn't know that side of the story.
We never saw his parents or anything.
And we find out that his, his upbringing was.
I think is, did his father die or did he just leave?
I believe he died and the mom wanted to.
Essentially, I don't know, they didn't really say, but it kind of seemed like the stepfather she married, she might not have loved him.
She just wanted to give her son a better life.
I think so.
I mean, me, me, he just did it for the money, but she, she passed and, uh, uh, what's his name?
the actor's name
everyone knows who he is
Ed Azne.
He promised to take care of Johnny
because she
I think she got cancer or something
and she passed.
So,
but Johnny was just
I don't think he
after the All Valley in 84
he pretty much said that his life
just went
down the tubes
and I don't even know
if he went to college
I don't think so.
But I think he just didn't think much of himself anymore because he was just really down.
And when we see him now, he's still got that, that, um, um, is a Camaro or a Firebird?
I can't remember what color.
I remember with Red, but he still mobbed.
He's still mobbing that around and still got the tape deck.
And, but he just kind of distanced himself away from his stepfather.
And he just turned into a handyman, basically.
But, I mean, it was good to see that.
He didn't grow up to be this rich asshole.
He was more of just a working man asshole.
He was still that bad assigne that we saw in the first film, just minus all the money.
But he didn't think like he really needed it.
He was still living his life and drinking the banquet beer.
All right, everyone.
That was my dad's choice of beer.
when I was growing up, but
I don't know, man.
Either I just grew up
and I can't drink that or Budweiser
or any of that stuff.
I'm like,
uh,
with all these new,
new,
new beers,
I mean,
there's,
come on.
No,
I can't drink those little stubbies that he was drinking
throughout every season,
but,
uh,
it was good that,
you mean,
he seemed like he was still,
mad about his life, but he was doing what he had to do to get by, man.
He was frying bologna.
I mean, that's low.
I don't even, I don't even need regular bologna, much less fry it.
But a good old Walmart.
I get the great value brand, Turkey or something.
But his life was not what we saw in the first film.
We only saw basically the first film and a little bit of the beginning of the second one.
but Daniel just obviously went off to college
and kept all the knowledge that he got from Miyagi
and just kind of put it over into his kids
because when we're introduced to his daughter Samantha,
I didn't like her at all, period, at all three seasons.
She is the true, she's the true villain of this series.
The first season, man, she's just a little hoe.
Man, she was, she hooked up with that Chinese guy.
And I hated that dude, too.
Then she hooked up with Miguel.
Kyler.
And then the Bobby or Robbie.
I was like, oh, man, what's going on?
I mean, yeah, she's cute and everything.
But I'm like, no.
I mean, I don't know.
She bugged me.
I mean, but the guy that really bugged me the most out of this whole three seasons was
Eli.
I'm sorry, man.
I did not like that guy.
He was just,
he was just an arrogant asshole.
He got his redemption in the second season,
but he,
he just bugged me the whole,
all three seasons.
Are you talking about Dimitri?
Oh, I'm sorry, Demetian.
Who's Eli?
Oh, Eli was Hawk.
Yeah, Hawk.
Eli Muscovitz.
Yeah.
No, yeah, Dimitri.
Gianni Des Senzo
Man, that kid bugged the shit out of me
I was like, oh, somebody beat him
Yeah, they did, but I didn't like him at all
But, I mean, I loved Miguel.
I'm not even going to try to pronounce his real name.
It's like X-O-L-O-O or something.
I don't know, but Miguel was cool.
I did like him.
Hawk, he was just badass.
I mean, I felt sorry for him in the beginning,
but then once he got his strength and his skills down,
he was badass.
Yeah, he was an asshole of third season and a little bit of the second,
but he was still fresh, man.
I don't care.
I'm team Hawk.
So, but I mean, the first season was good.
I mean, I loved how they laid the story down on who each character was.
And we find out that Johnny's got his son, Robbie and his mom's.
She's a little ho, too, just hoeing it at the bars.
And did, or was that the second season that, Tori.
Did she come in?
Yes, she came to the second season.
All right.
But the one girl, Nicole Brown, Aisha, I think that's her name.
I mean, what happened to her?
Why wasn't she in the third one?
I know something happened in real life to where they wouldn't let her do it or she didn't.
I don't know.
Do you know?
I can't necessarily find something.
I heard she was, I don't know if it was true or not because, you know, it's the internet and you can't believe everything.
But I heard she was doing some kind of go fund me for something.
And I don't know if she pissed some people off, but she kind of got rid of.
not of season three, but the producers have said that they're not shutting the door on her return for season four.
So she did something bad enough not to be on the season, but I guess the door is open.
And she has lost hell of wait, if you look at pictures of her now.
I'm trying to just find something to see what it says.
because she broke the news on Instagram.
She just said,
I'm not officially not in season three.
Unfortunate, but thank you for the opportunity
and time I had on the show.
So that was pretty much how everyone found out.
But not really sure on what she actually did.
So, but I mean,
I don't think it was anything like you'll never be on the show
I mean, if whatever the goal fund me, if that's what that was, I mean, I, I don't know.
I'd have to definitely look around for more.
I guess we should have before, but, I mean, I liked her character on who she was.
She showed a good, like a good, good, a good strong woman, young woman.
I liked her character that way because we see that, I mean, majority of the coach,
Cobra Kai guys were all the ones being bullied.
That's what I liked.
Other than Daniel, they got bullied pretty much through the whole first movie.
But everybody in Cobra Kai in this in the show, Miguel, Hawk,
Aisha, the little white guy, Bert.
I liked him and the other little Asian.
Oh, Bert, man, they did my guys so wrong in season three.
Yeah, they did.
But, I mean, I liked.
all of that how these they were the they were the underdogs and and by the end of the end of the
season I mean cobra the cobra kai guys they all got uh their redemption um and I loved that
we saw that the the transformation a hawk from just this shy little timid guy he had um uh
a cleft palate or whatever I think that's what it's called and uh he had the little surgery
to get his lip sewed back together and that was something.
that he was bullied on.
I mean,
all the bulliness
that was going on to this,
I mean,
Aisha for being,
for being a heavy girl,
I mean,
Hawk,
his,
his,
they kept calling him lip.
And I was like,
damn.
And I don't,
I think Miguel was just,
I mean,
they were just bullying him,
that older,
uh,
Asian guy.
I can't remember his name.
I,
I hated that kid,
period.
I mean,
uh,
Kyleer.
Yeah, that fool, man.
I don't even like seeing his face.
I mean, good on him, man.
Joe Cio, I think his name.
I mean, he, he did a good job.
He, I'm the asshole, and this is how I'm doing it.
I mean, good him as an actor, but as the character,
I just, I hated him because I knew guys like that.
and I was just like
Oh, like fuck man
I mean this
I was never bullied in school
Because I didn't play that shit
But I
I knew a lot of people that were bullied
And those were those were my friends
And I always stood up for them and all that
But these guys man
Especially I mean Kyler and his whole crew man
They were all fucking bullies
Glad they got what they deserved in the second season
Especially that one
Heavy white dude
That was his little sidekick
He got his ass beat.
I want to look like the kid from a bad Santa.
Yeah.
Man,
I wish they would have showed it.
I mean,
you seen Hawk just drilling on his face and nothing.
That was like weak.
Well.
But,
I mean,
the first season,
like I said,
they were just laying down who everybody was
and the story of Johnny and Daniel.
In the third film,
Daniel was pissing me off
because he was just so high.
strong and just a little whiny bitch this season he was wasn't as bad but he was still
a little whiny bitch so but i mean i just i don't know man i mean i was all for him in the
first film as well as a second but this i mean these three seasons he's still he's still
getting on my nerves i mean i'm all about johnny i'm team johnny
So, I just, I don't know, I mean, Ralph Macho, he used to be in my life forever with all the movies he did.
But this character, I just, I don't like Daniel LaRosa anymore.
And I hated his son, Anthony, a little, oh, my God.
Speaking of spoiled rich kids, I was like, oh, but, man, props that little guy, man.
He lost a lot of weight because I didn't even realize that was him.
Yeah.
In the third season.
I was like, is that the same kid?
And I had to look it up and it was.
So good for you, kid.
Griffin, Santo, Pipe.
I don't know.
I didn't try this last name, but he, they kind of did him dirty.
He was popped in every now and then the first season, the second season.
It was like maybe a couple times and third season once.
I was like, damn.
But they just, they just wanted to show him how much weight he lost.
and then he needed to get out of there.
I guess, man.
We didn't even get no love for Lucille, Daniel's mom, this third season.
I know she popped in in the second one.
But the second season, I know it was just because the first season was the lead-up to the All-Valley.
And the final match.
When we're introduced to Robbie Johnny's son, he's just.
another little asshole just running around out there doing dirt
I hated those two fucks that were with him
his little crew
oh Chris Brown and the other guy
that's who that was
no he looked like him
okay I mean that that's what I would get
he looked just like him
oh man those two do I don't even know who the other
the white guy that was hanging with it man
he had that porn stash and
he looked older than all that
the big foot those
those two fools, man.
I didn't like them at all.
So, but I mean,
they did their job in the show.
But,
I mean,
everything that was going on
the first season,
I mean,
I was,
I was all on board
with what was happening.
The other two dudes I didn't like
with those two assholes
that worked for Daniel.
One of them was his cousin,
uh,
Louis,
Louis Leruso Jr.
Oh,
that's,
uh,
Louiso?
I didn't know that.
And the other dude,
um,
Anush.
I don't even know.
I don't know.
I don't like those two guys.
Especially Louis, man.
I mean, that's just straight jersey right there.
I mean, he fucking got on my terms.
But I noticed they dropped the F bomb a few times.
I know they did it the third season and the first season.
Not sure about the second season.
But that was kind of surprising on that.
And as well as, I mean, of course it was on YouTube, so it was a paid service so they can get away with a little more.
But I know there were some parents that were like, why do they need to use those type of words?
I mean, they didn't go overboard with them.
But, I mean, that's how kids talk.
So, but I mean, I drop a F bomb here and there.
I mean, that was fine.
But it just didn't.
It didn't.
There was no need to write.
the press to try to get them to cancel the show because I mean because there's all kids are
looking up to these guys and now they all they want to do is fight and I'm like if anything
it made me want to fight not not just go out and fight somebody in the street but the I mean
watching these martial arts things I mean growing up watching all the old kung fu flicks and
everything and Bruce Lee yeah leave the theater juiced I mean after sitting there watching the show
I was juice I remember when we were done
We were making dinner.
I was in the kitchen throwing kicks and in chops.
And my wife was like, stop.
You go hurt yourself.
No, some other dude, the two chicks that, Sam's friends,
Moon and.
What was that?
Other boy.
Yasmin, Yasmin or what?
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
Moon was all right, but Yasmin, oh, my God.
Yeah, Moon, that's Miguel's girl in real life.
Oh, is it?
Okay.
Yeah.
Yasmin, Annalisa, something.
I don't know.
I can try her last name.
I knew girls like that in elementary, junior high, and high school.
And a couple of them I went to all three schools' stages.
they acted like that were a little
and they still act like that today
because I don't keep contact with them
but a lot of my friends do and I see
the things on Facebook and I'm like
why are you friends with her
oh my god that I mean again
I mean she's a good little actress
I mean she's she's selling her role
on being the bitch of the school
but oh man I just
hated that.
But,
she got her come up and so
got the front
wedgey.
What happened in the second season?
I get out of remember it was the end.
They said
she went to
Europe for the summer.
I think that's what they explained.
They never said what happened
to Kyler, which he
comes back in season three.
But as far as Yasmin,
she went to Europe, I believe.
I mean, but what happened, I mean, other than we're introduced to Tory,
I think Sam was kind of bouncing back and forth us between Miguel and Robbie.
And that was when they were learning more.
Because Daniel did, he took Robbie under his wing and trained him how to fight.
So we saw that.
He,
Daniel was taking his teachings from Miyagi and he was Miyagi this time.
Speaking of Miyagi, that first, the scene in the first season when he went to, to the graveyard.
And when he was talking to, I was like, oh, I mean, that, that got me because, I mean, it was sad.
I mean, if Pamarita was still alive, it would have been awesome for him to be in the show.
but I liked that
it was Daniel now
taking all his teachings
and passed he passed it on to
his daughter because she
trained at younger age
I don't know what happened to Anthony
he was too busy playing video games
and eating
waffle tacos or
know what they call him banana rammed
pancakes or something
I don't know whatever Daniel called him
but
I like that he did pass it on to her
All his teachings and he did have his own dojo
And his nice house
Um
And as far as Johnny and Miguel
I liked their connection
How they were just neighbors
And Johnny actually helped out Miguel
Because Kyler and his crew
Uh fucking assholes man
I mean did they
stole his uh
Peptobismol and then just kept
Started calling him
and all that.
I think he called him again
in the third season.
Yeah.
Oh, fuck.
I totally forgot.
He wasn't even in the second season.
So, but,
yeah, so the whole story,
the first season was just
Johnny was training Miguel
and Daniel was training Bobby as well
as trying to get his daughter in there.
And then it leads up to the,
to the All-Valley tournament
at the end.
Other than
Hawk kicking ass
and getting disqualified.
He,
um,
I guess he was not really the Bobby character.
I think he was,
he was kind of like Bobby and kind of like Tommy.
Because he,
he did,
he turned into that little asshole
at the end and,
and was cheating.
Uh,
because he was like,
yeah,
he was,
he was like Bobby,
except he didn't have the remorse that Bobby did.
Yeah, he, because all he was, he fought, um, uh, Robbie and then he fucked his shoulder up,
uh, and everything and Hog got disqualified.
I don't know about the, the tattoo on his back.
I don't know who would tattoo a little teenager.
And I loved it.
Every time he took his shirt off with his shoulder, you heard the little.
hawk cry.
I love that.
I thought that was badass.
His hair looked like it was,
I'm not sure if it was his hair the second
or third season. The first season, that was
it did look like that was his hair.
But this,
especially the third season, it looked
like, I don't know if it was his hair, okay,
but it looked, it didn't look good.
It just looked kind of stupid.
But I mean, that's his character.
but leading up to the All Valley tournament and Miguel finally coming down into the final with Robbie, I thought that was really good.
I mean, these kids, man, they must have trained a lot to do this.
Yes, their moves weren't the quickest and especially Sam Daniel's daughter.
I mean, she was out there fighting too, but she just seemed like her moves were slow.
I mean, because when Tori came into the pictures,
I don't know if she had actually any martial arts skills,
but she was selling her moves a lot better,
especially with that final fight at the end of the second season,
which was amazing.
So, but, I mean, I think they did an awesome job with each season finale.
I mean, the All Valley to seeing that,
the lead up to seeing John Crease come back,
and then the high school fight at the end of season two and shit,
how did season three end?
Season three ended with shit,
I just watched this.
The formation of Cobert Nwold, Miyagi Doe, and Eagle fan,
Chinese new dojo and Robbie.
and Robbie went
Roby went full heel and is at
Cobra Kai with Tori and uh that's right
the fuck is that kid's name
Kyler
and uh they're led by John crease
so I mean that's
that lead up to to what's coming
for the fourth season was
I mean what I loved about the third season
was we got more
uh,
story of John crease because we really didn't know much about him other than he was a
Vietnam veteran and or who actually trained him we didn't know any of that we get that
story finally in the third season with a lot of flashbacks to when he was younger when he was in
Vietnam and actually some war scenes that they showed I thought that was that was cool
yeah I think it was I think it was really necessary for you to
show that because if because your last memory of him was karate kid part three and he was getting
his ass kicked so i think you needed these flashbacks to to show the audience that he he is a badass
he he does know some shit i mean because he wasn't always the asshole that we've known since the first
film i mean he was just kind of like a normal guy but um they've said it even in the
in the first film
Miyagi told him he goes it's not there's no such thing
as a bad student
it's a bad teacher and we see
the guy who was who trained
John Crease on how
he was a hard ass asshole
we saw that so we see
where John Crease got that from
I mean watching that third season
that kind of made if
the way he was treated by
his sense
I mean, I think that would kind of make you not want to be that way, but he just went full on, full all into it.
I mean, but I mean, but again, that's how he was trained because even Johnny one, I mean, he, the way, that's how he was trained.
And even in the first season, he was training Miguel and when he got more students the way he was taught.
And I loved how Johnny was starting to see it,
especially at the end of the first season,
when Miguel was in that final fight.
And Miguel was like, okay, I know how to take him down.
He's got a hurt shoulder.
Let me do it.
But Johnny, we saw a different transformation of Johnny to wear.
Because that last episode was called Mercy, not no mercy.
And Johnny was telling Miguel, he was, look, man.
He goes, we want to win, and I want you to win.
and I want you to win.
He goes,
but you don't have to cheat to win.
He was trying to tell Miguel that.
Miguel was like,
well,
fuck that hell not,
man.
He goes,
I know what I'm going to do.
And I'm going to win.
So you see Johnny's like,
all right,
man,
what I'm,
what I taught these kids this whole time isn't,
isn't right.
So I liked how he did change towards the end.
I mean,
this Johnny,
again,
this Johnny was a different,
different Johnny than what we knew.
from the first film.
So I think that's why he was my favorite character in it.
That's why I'm Team Johnny because he saw the wrong on how he was trained.
I mean, you figured he wouldn't have done it because especially at the end of the or the beginning of the second film
when John Crease had him in that like headlock and everything was like,
I'm ready to choke him out.
He kept that same motto.
Strike first strike hard no mercy
But I
He just he started to see the wrong in in those training
So I thought that was really good and that was kind of a shocker that seeing him do that first when I first heard of this show
I thought he was still gonna be
That the asshole and I want to get revenge on Daniel Rousseau
That's not that that wasn't the case in this one
Yeah, Johnny is definitely my I'm also
team Johnny.
I feel like he
learns from his mistakes.
And I mean, at times it takes a little,
it takes a little while,
but he eventually sees,
you know,
his errors.
Daniel, it kind of seems like
he always needs Miyagi in
some way to figure out his problems.
Like he, I don't know.
He's, as you said,
he's still kind of fucking whiny.
And I'm like,
you got the fucking life right.
now you got the wife the family the business is a nice home and
constantly needing somebody else to fix your problems and
definitely not team uh team daniel and fucking sam like i said sam is the
fucking villain every season she's always caused some kind of problem
other than she's hooking up with every dude that says hi to her but
i don't know she was getting on my
She was, yeah, she was a little whiny bitch
Just like her dad
I mean, I was like, oh, she just got on my name.
And now, not once did I feel sorry for her ever in these three seasons?
No, and they did the fucking thing in
Season three that they did in Cobra,
or Karate Kid 3
Where Daniel just fought for his life in the second movie
And yet he's scared to fight, uh, Mike Barnes.
in this one
and uh cobra kai she
in that that fight at the high school
at the end of season two she she wins the fight
but yet she has PTSD in the season three
that's the only my only nitpick with that one i i didn't get it
yeah i mean
she was all thinking she was big and bad and everything
but then i mean yeah she won that fight
uh at the end of the of the second season in the high
go which was to me the fucking
an awesome fight
scene yes it wasn't them
when they were really doing the really
difficult moves but I liked
how they filmed that like
you see Sam and Tori
when you can see their faces kicking ass
but when they got thrown to
out of the shot
they hurry up and switch the character
or switch the actor with
a snuck double and everything I loved
how they did that
but yeah Samantha just got
on my fucking
man I was like us I mean
yeah she got some scars
to remind her of the fight
Tori just
she didn't give a fuck
um
okay really quick I mean jump into season
three I mean everybody got in trouble
that was fighting
um
Robbie just fucked himself up by running
from from the scene
uh
why did Tori get so
well I guess because she
pulled out, she had the little spiky bracelet and used that as a weapon.
So that's probably why she got probation.
Yeah, she also initiated everything because it sounded like she might have assaulted the person
that was doing the intercoms when she took the microphone.
So yeah, I think she started it from the beginning.
But, I mean, she wouldn't have done what she'd done if it wasn't for Samantha,
hooking up.
Because Samantha was hooking up with Miguel.
and then I remember she looked out the window or something at that party and saw Sam kissing Miguel.
She was drunk.
And Miguel, he wasn't expecting that.
Yeah, fucking Sam, how dare you use Miyagi dough to regain your focus in a drinking game?
Using it for the wrong purposes.
man I mean she just she's a flat out villain period in this whole thing
but oh my god I mean I felt so I felt sorry for Tori but again yeah she she did what she did
but um they in the season three they were more of just she would they were to
Corricay was trying to get revenge for what Robbie did to Miguel, kicking him off that balcony or that second floor and hitting his back on the handrail, which shout out to the actor played Miguel.
I mean, they rigged him up to the ropes and everything, and then he actually did that stunt, but I'm sure it was slow.
But yeah, because Miguel, he went into a coma for, I don't really remember how long, but he jacked up his back and everything.
and Robbie took off.
But everyone else, I don't think anyone got suspended.
Well, they probably did get suspended, but everyone was let back at school.
I mean, but Tori, she got, she got kicked out.
Robbie, well, I'm sure he got kicked out as well.
But I guess everyone just got slapped on the hand.
And I think, did they say Aisha?
They took her out of the school and took her somewhere else because of what happened.
Yeah, because of the violence that has taken place of the two dojoes.
Her parents sent her to boarding school.
Well, I hope she comes back the fourth season.
I mean, I liked her character.
I liked how she, when she was the shy little shy young girl in the first season to where she was like, no, fuck this.
I'm, I'm going to, I'm going to fight back, fight, defend myself, basically.
I mean, pretty much all the Cobra Chi's in the first season, they were defending themselves from what was happening to them.
So, yeah, Johnny trained him the way he was thought, but you can see that these weren't little kids that just wanted to learn how to fight and use it as weapons all the time.
And they were still kind of fighting the bullies and everything.
Hawk, man, he just went full
full on Cobra Kai,
everything. He bought into all of it.
But he's still badass.
I don't care what anyone says.
So,
so the first season was to get to know everyone
and the lead up to the thing.
Second season, what,
see, I don't remember how that one went
on what they were doing.
Other than Johnny was still dealing
with Daniel
and Samantha was trying to
didn't know who she wanted
Miguel or Robbie
and
what was
were they still
okay
John Crease was in
in this one
and he was kind of like
just the
the guy in the background
watching the students
watching Johnny
train all these guys
and then I think that's when he slowly
took over
because at the end of that season
we do see
that basically Johnny was
I don't think he was gonna
quit Cobra Kai until he got there
and realized that all the students
that were involved in that fight
were with John Crease now
because Johnny was kind of even trying to tell
look man don't listen to this guy
he's and fuck your life up like he did mine
but all those kids even Hawk man
they all they were ready to beat up Johnny
because he tried to
step to John Crease and they all got in the way.
I was like, whoa.
I mean, that was kind of a shocker.
And, but I think the biggest shocker to me as a fan of everything, except for that last
film, the lead up to Allie.
Because she's mentioned and they show her just flashbacks.
And we do find out she's married and she lives in Colorado.
And I think she's a doctor or something like that.
I can't remember.
but the lead up to that
and the
to where
Miguel kind of gets Johnny
into Facebook but he because he
Johnny's not tech savvy.
He doesn't know anything
about the internet or
social media or nothing.
I mean luckily these young kids came along
and helped him basically just trying
to promote Cobra Kai but when
I love
the stories that Johnny was telling
Miguel about his life on
on how he explained it to Daniel.
Like, yeah, man, I was just trying to get back with my girl.
And this fool came into my life and fucked everything up.
In a way, yes.
I mean, we've talked about this in the first.
We talked about the first film.
But it was good.
Like seeing it in Johnny's eyes on how he saw it all.
And again, I'm going to lead more with Johnny.
I like that.
The tease that, okay, yeah, Allie, and then the friend requested her.
No, he did he friend request or a messenger?
He a friend requested her, but I think it was by accident.
I think somebody had knocked into him and he hit the button.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
Because at the end of the second, after the big fight and after John Crease took over
Cobra Kai, his phone kept blowing up constantly.
and he was just kind of getting tired of it.
He just got mad and threw his phone.
But when the camera goes to the phone,
we see it and then it said,
Allie, whatever her last name, accepted.
Shwarmer.
Friend request.
And that blew my mind.
I was like, oh,
but then it was over.
I was like, shit.
And we had to wait a whole year.
Oh, man.
I just, I couldn't believe it.
Because then I was thinking,
I mean,
she um elizabeth shu she's i think out of the main three she's probably the biggest i mean with her
career i mean she still did movies and she still uh had hit tv shows and i know she was on the
boys and i wasn't sure if she was going to do it because i seen many interviews where people
are asking you have you watched cobra kai and are you going to be a part of that show and she said
she did she goes yeah i watch it i thought it was really good seeing my friends
continue the story but she kept saying no no i'm i'm too busy doing this and no no of course
that's what she had to say to to to the build up that she was going to come back so i mean i was
excited that when we finally saw her in season five that she was just a one epic throughout
the whole season because i figured that if she would have came in uh we we do found out that she
she was divorced or separated
and
seemed like she was getting ready to give it up to Johnny
again, but Johnny had already hooked up with
Miguel's mom, so
Yeah, we didn't even talk about that.
But, man,
Johnny could have did both, man.
I mean,
he wasn't married.
Yeah, but he can't
do a student like that.
That's me, everyone.
Don't tell him.
Sorry, ladies, but
I'm not like that.
It's just a character for the show.
But anyway, it was good.
I loved her.
I mean, I've said this before, man.
She just got hotter with age.
So I was all about it.
Oh, well, yeah.
In the third season, Robbie was, like you said, he was on the run.
And he turned into a little whiny asshole for PTSD, dealing with Tori and not who she wanted.
Does she want Robbie or does she want Miguel?
I don't know what her problem is.
I did like the, we got to see Chosen as well as Kumiko.
I think that was in the second.
I loved those two episodes.
I mean, those were the two.
When the trailer for the third season finally dropped
and they showed those two, I was, my mind blew.
I was like, what?
I couldn't wait.
I mean, because when this season three dropped at midnight, January 1st, I was right there.
I mean, I'll click.
I couldn't wait.
I had to see what was going on.
what the had to see
it was happening
I think
everybody was
I think everybody
binged us
that first day
of course
except for Lance
he didn't binge it
but I
could
I think
I mainly wanted
to see
Chosen
and Comico
come back
I mean she aged
beautifully
with age
she's still a
beautiful woman
chosen
I mean
he's losing
his hair
and like we all are
but he
he was badass
I liked what
what happened there
because I mean we said
I said in the second film
they filmed it all in Hawaii
they actually went to Japan
to film
uh this these scenes
so I liked all of that
as well as catching up
with Kumiko on
how her
um
what was her aunt's name
um
uh
Yukiya.
Yuki, yeah, how she got sick and she passed.
And I loved how that Yuki and Miyagi still kept in touch by writing letters.
That scene when Kumiko and Daniel were hanging out, because she asked Daniel, why did you come back?
And he was like, well, my business, because he was having issues with his business.
in the third season
because he was losing his sales
and he was getting ready to lose
his business partner
with the
doyona or whatever
that Japanese car company was
and it did have to do
with the whole blowout
at the high school
at the end of the second season
everybody was blaming karate
and they knew the Miyagi Doe
and the Cobur Kai were all involved
so I think
he was just trying to fix his business
so that was why he went
to Japan
and he actually saw
a commercial for come to Okinawa and see that.
So I think that's, he went there.
But when Kumiko asked him, why did you come here?
Oh, for my business.
She goes, no, why did you come here to Okinawa?
And that's when he said was to see if he can get some kind of,
I think mainly you get some balance with his life to go back to where he would,
go back to where his sense
and Mr. Yomiyagi was from.
I like that.
And he was,
I mean, I loved when they first saw each other.
He was walking.
He went to Tommy Village and we saw how it was in the second movie,
but in this one,
they turned it into a mall.
I was kind of like, oh, man.
But we find out,
Sato turned the village into this big mall.
we do find out that everybody that lived in the village,
other than it brought all kinds of jobs for everyone,
everyone did good.
Everybody was down for it,
and they all wanted it to make up their neighborhood or whatever better.
So I was like,
all right, cool.
I mean,
it wasn't like Sato turned into the asshole again and ran everybody out.
So I liked that.
The explanation was all from Kumiko.
But when Daniel was saying,
just kind of wanted to see Miyagi again.
And she goes, well, I can do that.
And that's when she was reading all the letters.
That part got me.
That last letter he wrote before he died when he was talking about Daniel, he was,
Daniel was, he treated him like his son.
And he loved that Samantha thought Miyagi thought of him as Miyagi as her grandfather.
I mean, I
watched that scene a few times
I mean, the first time I saw it,
I was,
tears were rolling down my eyes
and watching it again with my wife,
tears were pouring down my eyes.
I mean, but that was,
that was strong.
I mean,
for the character,
Miyagi was,
I mean,
especially if you're a fan of these films,
I mean,
it was,
it was touching and it was good because we did,
we did know that Miyagi
lost his wife.
and his child due to childbirth.
So he never had kids or ever married again.
And then Daniel came along.
So I really loved that bond that they had.
And it was good for Daniel to hear that.
And I think how I took that scene is Daniel was losing his balance.
He just didn't know he was arguing with his daughter and everything,
because of everything that happened.
His business was going down the shit.
Well, not really going down,
but just business wasn't good anymore.
But he went there to,
I think he mainly went there to get some balance with his life.
And it worked.
So I thought that was cool.
Yeah.
But bringing in Chosen.
When we see him in the trailer,
I was like, oh, my God.
he's he's gonna want revenge on Daniel
but we find out that he
him and Kumiko was they
hash things out
because when we see him at that
at the end of that episode when he goes to Okinawa
they're sitting there in that little restaurant
and then
you hear
did he did he say he's a Daniel son
and then we he
looks over and chosen
is standing and he'll be giving him like one of the
hardest looks
and I
immediately clicked for
the next episode
so but we
find out that
I mean other than Daniel
was like why is he here? And she goes
oh that's chosen isn't
who you were because he was
like he was going to kill you and he was going to kill me
why are you guys friends now
and he goes no he's different
that's not how he is. That's not how he
is. I mean, I loved how she just didn't.
I mean, I guess they obviously made up and we never saw that, but how she was just like, no, man, he's a good guy now, man.
You guys be friends. And Daniel was just totally in an awkward situation because Chosen was just still staring him down.
Like, I mean, that first time watching it, I didn't know what was happening or what was going to happen.
but I think
once we find out that Daniel and
Chosen
when they go
because she goes hey
Chosen is going to show you around
so he took him to
his dojo
the actual
Miyagi dough
I guess the original one
and we see that
I mean Daniel's still
kind of scared
and still kind of shocked
to end puzzle on what what's happening.
Why is he still,
why is he hanging out with Chosen?
And then he does,
I love that,
that whole scene with them because he was telling him
about some things.
And when it came to the sacred scrolls
of Miyagi Doe,
I thought that was really cool.
But when they,
when I guess chosen,
challenged him, but not, not really.
Because he wanted to, he said he wanted to know.
Chosen wanted to know why.
I want to know how much you know.
Because, I mean, Daniel did say he knew the whole story of how karate came to Okinawa
because we heard that story in the second film.
So I like that and how Daniel told Chosen and Chosen was like,
your sense they told you that?
And he goes, yeah.
And that's when he goes, all right, well,
I want to know everything that he showed you.
That's when they gied up and they were going into fights.
All right.
Here's a question.
Do you think Chosen could have killed him if he had that opportunity?
Or he did have the opportunity, but do you think if he was still mad and angry,
do you think he would have killed him?
At this point when they met, 100%.
Yes, he would have murdered Daniel and disposed of the body and nobody would ever know.
What, all right, this is, this is, this is how I took it.
Yes, Chosen could have killed him.
And, uh, he didn't, he didn't, he, he lost his balance in the second film, Chosen.
That's why he lost that fight.
I mean, Daniel was more centered and, I mean, other than Miyagi was right there.
He didn't have this hatred built it up into him.
Yeah, he was scared, but he was balanced.
Because, I mean, if you listen to this, I mean, Miyagi says it.
I mean, it's about balance.
You've got to have balance to live your life, to train and everything.
So Chosen was just full of hate on what his uncle, Sato, was pumping into him.
But Sato finally realized that they goes, look, man, hate is wrong.
What I'm doing, how I felt for Miyagi was wrong.
but Chosen was still so, so lost and full of hatred.
He had no balance.
That was the reason why he lost that, that first fight.
And this one, Daniel was losing his balance because he was his home life, his business and everything.
His balance was lost.
And I think that's why he just wasn't there.
Yeah, he still had the moves and everything.
And it was cool.
I did like that
Miyagi trained Daniel
had a fight with a staff or stick
because in the second film
Chosen As you goes, your sense a teacher
had a fight with a spear and he's like no
So when we see them actually
going at it with the sticks and everything
I thought that was awesome
I mean that whole montage of them fighting
I thought was good
because when Chosen was doing
other moves and Daniel
was like, that's, that's not me,
Aguio, it goes, that's, that's not defense.
And I love the story
that shows and told him, like,
well, it always isn't
just about defense. You've got to learn how to kill as
well, because they said when
the, uh, the enemies,
the Japanese enemies came in,
they, they had the fight. And
of course, they had to kill if they had to.
So, uh, I loved
how his, his explanation for
some of the moves he was doing. And that
that, that, not death.
touch, but that whatever he did,
I think he called the, the
Miyagi
pressure points or whatever.
I think so.
I thought that was awesome.
That was, that was sweet
because he, he did something
to Daniel's arm and it just went
numb.
Live or die, man.
I have waited a long
time for this.
Chosen.
No.
Hog.
And he was, he tried to swing with the other.
He did it to that arm and that's when he grabbed the back of his neck.
I had to wait for this for a long time.
I was like, oh, the first watch, dude, I was like, what's going to happen?
What's he doing?
I mean, because he, oh, he brought that fistbag.
And Daniel was like, nothing I can do.
He couldn't even move his arms.
Then he brought it down.
Honk.
I was like, ugh.
But, I mean, it was cool because Chosen just really.
started laughing, but I think that scene in the third season was my favorite other than he.
He found his way.
He found on, because he said he just, chosen said he just was lost after that fight and everything.
But it was good that he, that chosen hooked up again with his uncle and, and, and,
and Sato forgave him for what he did, for being dishonored.
He got his honor back with his uncle, with his sense.
So I thought that was really good.
And then he also kept training him some more.
So I thought that was really good.
I mean, yes, we lost both of the actors, Sato as well as Miyagi.
But it was cool that Chosen just found his way back.
Got his honor back.
and he got back on the right path
or a different path really
because he was full of hate
and then he realized it was wrong
and everything so I thought that was really good
that was a good explanation on
what happened to him because we didn't know
they never went back to Okinawa
and we never knew what happened to him
so I really loved it
they only gave him two episodes but
that was enough that was a good
a good story for them
for us to find out what happened to him.
I mean, that's what I like a lot about this
show. Yeah, that episodes are only a half hour,
but they pack as much as they can in it,
and it does have good points to us.
So, I mean, with these characters that popped in
because we did get the Cobra Kai.
I mean, no love for Lamar or Dutch,
because I guess Dutch was in prison.
But we did get Tommy.
We did get Bobby and what was the head of the class guy's name?
Jimmy
yeah Jimmy
it was good that they
they came in
that was the second season
wasn't it
or yeah
second you get Bobby
in third season three
that's right
he came back
I mean that was cool too
I mean it was good to see him
pop back up in there
Johnny still just messed up from everything
and he was all faded
and went into church
but
Yeah, but again, with those two episodes in Okinawa, I thought were amazing.
The backstory for John Crease was awesome.
And we did finally, we saw also backstory of Terry Silver from the third film.
Did you think the dude with the ponytail and slick hair was Terry Silver at first?
Yeah.
That guy looked like a young Terry Silver.
Yeah, I thought that was him
Until he got killed
And then I'm like, okay, well, that ain't him
I mean, we didn't mean the
The other dude that was budding around with Creece
When he was in Vietnam
They never said his name
They had a nickname for him
I think they call him like Slim or something like
I can't remember but
When there
Was he a captain
The one that was training him all?
Yeah, I think
He's the
one that said silver and then
he looked and then I went
I was like oh man
I mean and then because
in the third film
Terry
silver I mean why he was
friends with John he was like man you
you because
the crease was like yeah man I owe you
and he goes you don't owe me nothing
he goes you saved my ass hell of times
so obviously and we
got to see it in the flashbacks
from there Vietnam where
where Creeze did save Terry Silver.
So I thought that was good explanations on two,
other than the backstory of both of them when they were in the war.
Because when the third season ends up,
yeah, I'm Yagido and Eagle Fang Karate,
which Johnny started up because he,
Creeze took over Cobra Kai.
I mean, Chris isn't a dumb man.
He, he, he died of the eyes.
and crossed the lorke the tease and everything on his situation because of course yes
Daniel was still mad as well as his wife came into play because she went to John
crease and tried to tell him to back off and she slapped him so he got her strain in
order on her but they we see that they're going to team up for for the fourth season
eagle fang and Miyagi though which I think is awesome
Now, they did show flashbacks to season three.
They showed Mike Barnes.
We know we're getting Terry Silver in the next season.
Is it going to be the same actor?
I don't know.
I hope so.
I'm sure Netflix will throw a check in here, man.
Just come back for a couple episodes.
So I hope.
What was his name?
I can't remember the actor's name.
Valic.
Thomas Ian.
Griffith.
Because at the end of season three,
Crease is on the phone.
He calls him out, like, yeah, man,
I need you.
And I, he goes,
I just went, oh, my God.
I've said this before we saw season three.
I said, I wanted Terry Silver to come back.
And we're getting that.
I think we're going to get my,
Mike Barnes.
I think what,
go ahead.
How mad are you going to be when you find out
it was not Terry Silver on the phone,
but it was Snake.
That better not be.
But if he pops in,
I'll be mad,
but I'll be like,
all right.
You know it.
Snake.
We got too many assholes in the show.
I don't need another one.
But I think Mike Barnes is coming back because if,
yeah, because Miyagi-do and Eagle Fan karate are teaming up.
So they got at least 15 to 20 deep.
And Cobra Kai had, what, a handful plus the Kyler and his gang.
and he's bringing Terry,
they're bringing Terry Silver in.
I think they're going to need,
maybe they'll get more soldiers
or Terry can come in to help.
Because Terry Silver's mad still.
He's mad at Daniel.
Maybe they'll fight and Johnny will fight John Crease.
But I still think that they need more firepower.
So my fingers are crossed that Mike Barnes comes back.
Yeah, because I want to see Barnes and Johnny go at it.
Yeah, and I think there's still, I mean, okay, you got three fighters, the grownups.
You got Terry Silver, you got John Crease, and if Mike Barnes comes back, that's three.
This is just me thinking and what I want.
If those three are going to fight, it will still be not a fair mass.
those three can take probably Johnny and Daniel quick.
I have a feeling that Daniel's going to fly chosen in.
And if he does, oh my God, I'm just going to,
that's what I want.
You know who it's going to be, though.
A little movie that we didn't like in the series,
that person's going to come.
If she does, all right.
but she has no connection to
well other than Miyagi but I mean
Daniel doesn't know about her and she
we don't know that though Daniel
I'm going by what we saw in the movie
he mentioned Daniel yes
but I don't know man
she's how would Daniel know her
I'm gonna call it right here
she met him at Miyagi's funeral and they explained how they knew how they knew Miyagi, boom,
kept a relationship ever since.
She's coming in as she's the hired gun coming in.
It won't be chosen.
No, man.
If that happens, all right.
I can see that.
Yeah, they met at the funeral.
Okay.
I can, I can see that and I can accept it.
But as far as skill, unless she just kept on training, I mean, Miyagi went back to California and she stayed in Boston.
So, and I'm sure they kept in some contact.
But I don't know.
Did she keep training on what she learned or did she go back and see the monks?
I don't know.
Yes.
To all that, she's coming back and she's bringing, she bringing Angel the Hawk with her.
As long as she doesn't bring that dumbass dude that she ended up hooking up with,
Aaron or whatever.
He's coming to.
Whatever the,
I'd rather have those other dudes,
the alpha elite or whatever they were called.
I'd rather have them come in.
They're coming to.
No.
Michael.
Again, if she comes into this, all right, you better give me a damn,
Well, good explanation on why, but I want more chosen.
I mean, he can come in.
And I have a feeling that because at the end of their little,
their little battle when Daniel was like, what happened?
What did you do to me?
He goes, I couldn't move.
And he said, that's Miyagi's secret pressure points.
And then he goes, can you teach me?
And Chosen did see, gave him the nod like, yes, I will.
So I want to see Daniel.
that at some point maybe he does it to Terry
Silver maybe he does it to John
Crease but I don't know he's got to
do it the next season
so and I'm sure
Chosen showed him more stuff
because Daniel only knew
what Miyagi taught him
and Sato
we clearly saw taught
Chosen more
everything that Miyagi knew as well
as more so
I think if they bring Chosen in
man I'm
it's going to blow my mind.
And I'm all on board for that.
I want to see more of him.
And I want to see him fucking run through
whoever comes at him.
It'd be at John Creas and Terry Silver and hopefully Mike Barnes.
But I don't know.
I mean, are we getting it next year?
Or are we going to get it to the end of this year?
I don't know.
Did they film the third season during,
all this or was it done already?
Most of it was done.
And from what I understand, I think they just
started season four.
Okay.
So, they're obviously
working safely, so
but
I don't know.
I mean, I know that they're not
filming it in California. They're filming
it, um,
Atlanta or something. I can't remember where
they said they filmed it, but somewhere
over that direction.
I don't know, man.
I'm, uh, Kumag.
It's okay. I'm looking at the, the, the, the IMDB.
It says, uh, Tamilin, Tomita Kumiko says she was in four episodes.
I'm like, uh, they must, must be doing more because it says 2018 and 2021.
Okay.
So that's obviously this season, it's, uh, maybe.
If you said they're filming now,
is she gonna be in it?
Where's chosen at?
Is he,
what does his say?
It says three episodes.
He was only in two.
The end of that first one in Okinawa
and then him in the second.
Could be coming back.
I hope so.
I need him to come back at kick ass, so we'll see.
What was that one little Asian guy's name?
The one that was fighting Bert.
They never said his name.
They always said Bert's name, but they never said his name.
Yeah, they did that little Asian guy dirty, man,
because they were, all right, this part, even my wife said it.
In the third season, I mean, Miguel's still in the hospital,
and they were trying to raise money for his surgery.
And you got all these little high school girls out there in bikinis washing cars.
And I'm just like, my wife was like, did they really need to show that?
And I'm like, no, but.
And I was thinking, man, that's, these are little girls out there.
And you're going to get like every pervert in that area to come get their car wash.
I felt a little uncomfortable with all the match.
His name was Nathaniel.
All right.
What was his real name?
Nathaniel O.
Yeah, just uses his name.
All right, cool.
Him, man.
Yeah, at that car wash, he was, I don't know why they left him there by himself with all the money.
Because that's when a hawk and one of the,
fat guy that was rolling with them.
They beat up
Nathaniel and took all the money.
And when they
Nathaniel and the rest of them showed up
at Samantha's house, Daniel's house.
He came in and they said, man,
they stole all the money, who?
And then they were like the cobra kies.
And then Nathaniel came. Yeah, they came
in. They beat the fuck out of me.
I was like,
they did. He was all
roughed up, blood covered out of his mouth.
And I'm like, all right.
From that car wash to the house, you couldn't have took a napkin and wiped that shit off your face.
But, all right, whatever.
He's got to settle the injuries.
But everything in the third season was good.
Other than the Japan episodes, I mean, we see that Samantha's scared of Tori.
Robbie's still on the run, and then he ends up getting caught.
and he has to go to juvenile detention center.
What did you think of all that?
Of the three, the black guy in Mexican,
and I think it was a white dude,
bullying and Robbie around while he was locked up.
What did you think of all that?
I like the whole situation
because it kind of let Robbie know.
I think it kind of toughened him up
because right before he went in,
he was kind of whining and bitchy like Daniel.
And he went in and he was just kind of,
he was getting bullied and then the disappointment of his dad not showing up
when he was supposed to and then talking to Crease,
because this is when Crease was planting the seeds for him to join.
And I kind of respect Robbie because sometimes that's what you got to do.
You got to go after the biggest one,
the biggest baddest and jump kick him in the face.
he didn't he wasn't no rat either because after that big fight they had they uh obviously had them
uh interrogated or whatever you call it and then when they they left the black guy join
kover kai he said the black guy goes man he goes how come you didn't snitch and he goes and
no he goes how come you didn't say anything was i ain't no snitch anyone all right so um
If they join, cool.
It would be good to see them again.
Because that was a big dude, the black guy he was fighting with.
He wasn't known to.
No, man.
He was a man.
Isn't that?
So, yeah, Robbie was there, but then he got out.
And obviously, some, I know he wasn't in the juvenile hall or whatever that was for days.
because he ran from the crime scene
and they were looking for him.
So obviously I would say he was in there for a few months,
a month at the least.
But because when he got out, he was still,
he didn't want nothing to do with his dad.
He didn't want nothing to do with Daniel.
But he was still all about Samantha.
But then he comes in.
We see Miguel and Samantha starting to,
get close again
and then
you gotta get in the way
man these two dudes
and now they don't want to fight each other
I think that was probably the last thing
that did it to make him go
to
uh made made Robbie go to
to Cobra Kai
and John Crease
oh but
um we see the
we're starting to see the turning
to see the turning point in Hawk
on how
he's
seeing, I guess he's starting to get a
conscience to where he's not, he's still
badass, but he's not
seeing the way John Crease
wants him to
see. He's starting to see because he
ended up breaking
Dimitri's arm in this one.
Did he
just twist his arm
the other way or
did he end up socking him and
broke it?
He did the
the Shana Bay
where he set the arm up and then I think stomped it.
Oh, that's right.
Shane of Bazelor.
I don't care what anyone says.
I like her.
I see the Queen of Spades.
Is that what I say?
But I love everything that that that was going on.
And like I said, we see the turning of Hawk.
I think he, I don't know if he's going to join.
Most likely he'll join.
Eagle Fang. I don't know if he'll go
quite to Miyagi, but
Miyagi, though, but I mean,
this,
obviously they're getting
their, their crews together
for a final battle. I don't know
if the fourth season is going to be
it.
I'm hoping they go a few more seasons
because I think they're hitting out of the
park with this show. Now
they got Netflix money.
We'll see
on what's what's happening so um but uh other than um everybody in this i mean of course there's tons of
characters but i mean they're mainly focusing that this last season they were mainly mainly
focusing on miguel and sam um everyone else still pops in when they can
I think this
I mean other than
Johnny
helping Miguel
get his strength back in his legs
I thought all that was pretty cool
Oh
Oh, other than the, they had that big town hall meeting or whatever when they were saying that they didn't want, because of the incident that happened in the, at the high school, they didn't want them to have the all valley turner in anymore.
Because it was too violent and it's making all these kids violent and everything.
but that got turned around because they came in Johnny and Daniel and
Greece made them
or basically sold it to them to
they should have it.
I like the shit the parents were yelling
it from the back while they were talking.
I heard the girl was messing with both boys.
Yeah.
I heard when Daniel was saying,
yeah, this guy is
was bullying me around.
And then what's over?
I heard you were the bully.
So I thought that was cool.
I mean,
I loved all that.
But the,
the character building for all the young,
for all the young kids in this,
I mean,
I like what's going on.
Dimitri again,
he was still the same old way.
Yeah,
he kicked a hawk into that glass case and that fight.
I mean,
that fight at the end of the second season was
the choreography for that was awesome
especially for all these little young actors
that did it as well as
their stunt doubles I mean I thought they
they did a really good job
I mean they didn't just focus on Miguel
fighting Robbie they didn't just focus on
Samantha fighting with Tori
it went all over the place
everybody got their time
to shine during that fight
was Aisha
fighting
In that last episode?
Season two?
Yeah.
She pretty sure it was.
She got a punch in there.
That's right.
Oh, we forgot to bring out a, what's his name?
Richard Jewel.
Stingray.
We forgot to mention him.
He didn't come back in season three.
Apparently he.
Go ahead.
They mentioned him.
They mentioned him, but I don't.
remember why why he wasn't there he he he can only come a certain distance from the school
because he was involved in the fight he was even in there kicking ass beating up kids
stingray um i forgot he was in this i mean i after i saw richard jule which was an awesome film
you guys haven't seen it but and then re-watching
season two again. I was like, oh, fuck yeah, man. I mean, I forgot he was in this. So
good then he's still out there. If he comes back for season four, man, cool, right on.
But again, that whole fight scene in the high school was awesome. It was just
everybody going at it. And, well, I guess I was like, every time fights broke out of
school, I was like, well, teachers came out of nowhere. I mean, there was like,
was there no teachers working that day
but that one did come in
and he was basically what
I'm not getting paid to do that and he got the hell out of there
because they were fighting
and everything but
what did you think about the season
three fight
at Daniel's house
it was awesome
and they just trashed his house
I was like
man I mean
it's still bad blood between
Tori and Samantha
I kind of have a feeling they're going to end up being friends
as the season to go on
but I like
they
they just
fucking they the cobra Kai just showed up
and they just started kicking ass again
I mean they got into an earlier fight
when Demetri got his arm broken
when they were fighting in that
laser tag place
because yeah
cobra kies they would be hawking them
were being assholes from
Chris I believe his name
is the older or the
tall black guy that was part of
a cobra Kai
well excuse me
because they were coming in a hawking them were
messing with him at his job and he ended up calling Samantha
said yeah there's uh they're down here
causing some shit so Samantha was like
fuck that now it's time to get him
she thought she was badass
going down there
and want to take out hawking them but then
Tori showed up that's when she just froze and when it curled into a little ball
because she could have helped save Dimitri or at least stopped them
but she was she was too scared to move and uh that's when hawk broke demetri's on
but uh Tori I think she's just built up uh with anger for
Samantha other than she's still tried to steal her man
so we see that going on
but I do see them
being friends eventually
a shout out to me
I hated Dimitri but I'll give it
to him and ended up hooking up with
Yasmin
yeah he did
no
Moon hooked up with Hawk
didn't she?
Yeah no
yeah okay
and at first she was with Hawk
and then she broke up with him
and I guess was with a girl by the end of season two.
Oh, I don't remember that.
Yeah, it was at the party.
Oh, okay.
A hawk went to go talk to the one girl,
and then Moon came in and put her arm around her and was like,
oh, you haven't met my girlfriend yet, have you?
What?
Dimitri, all right, man.
He was already in love because they was making out Yasmin or whatever her name is.
I liked how Miguel and Sam rolled around the corner and just saw them staring at him.
It was a little fucked up.
He asked me.
He was like,
what are you doing?
Don't talk to me and walked away from him.
And I thought DiMicho was going to be all heartbroken.
He didn't give a fuck.
He was like, man, I think I'm in love.
I mean, good for him, man.
He was getting his.
Hopefully he gets more in the next season.
But, oh, man.
Yeah, we bounced all over the place, but these three seasons are amazing.
It's an amazing show.
Can't wait for season four.
Hopefully they finish filming and we get it at the end of this year.
I think we will.
If you listen to our East Society's episode,
when we're talking about our best top five or top five.
Yeah, top five TV shows.
2018 and 2019,
Cobra Kai was my number one show.
We didn't get it for 2020,
so obviously Mandalorian slipped right in there
in the number one spot.
But I made the announcement on the show
when we recorded it,
that Cobra Kai is going to be my number one show for 2021,
because I don't see anything topping this out.
I know we're getting the book of Bobaf,
that, of course that'll be on my list, but I don't know.
Yeah, Star Wars been in my life longer than Karate Kid, but I love this show, man.
I haven't been hyped for this type of show since,
hmm, lost, I would say.
I mean, there's been a ton of shows, but I was really deep in the lost.
Except for that last season, it just fell apart.
But, I mean, but for this show right now, for everything that I watch,
watch that's on. I mean, again, there's tons of good television shows, but for this one,
to basically come out of nowhere and just take over. I mean, I love that this, this series
brings a lot of new viewers and new fans to this, to this franchise. They watch this,
then they go back and watch the movies. So I love that. I mean, a lot of videos that I see when
they're talking to younger kids that are into this show.
I mean, they didn't even know that those four movies existed.
So now they said, yeah, we had to go back and watch those.
So we found out what was happening.
So, but I mean, this show is just amazing.
I know there's people that don't like it, but I...
Tell me their names.
I'm on board.
You just go on Facebook, when they used to, especially on the Cobra Kai,
when they were showing the first trailer for the third season.
You just go into the comments and see,
why are they still doing this show stupid?
I'm like, obviously they watch both seasons,
but I don't know, but that's just what the internet is for.
We're bitching and complaining.
I bitching and complain too,
if you guys listen to East Society and everything.
I'm the one that complains the most about shit.
But CobraC,
Codd, man. Season 4, I can't wait. It can't get here any
sooner, man. I'm just
looking at the clock, looking at the calendar. I got
I got to see it. I got to see
Terry Silver and
it's got to be him, man. Don't give us
someone else.
It won't
be the same. I know you said that he
retired from acting, but
Netflix has got that big money, that Netflix money.
here, man, just show up for a few
episodes. Here's
2,300,000
or whatever. I don't know
what they're paying these people, but
it's good to
see that Will Smith
because he was the
producer
for the remake.
Are we ever going to do that one?
Way, way, way
down the line. I don't
have a problem with the movie it just
it shouldn't have been called a karate kid
because they do kung fu
yeah
I mean but shout out to
all those little uh those little guys in that
little Asian guys because they
those guys were the real deal
in that one so
I did like the fighting as far as
chow dray
or what's what's that
kid's name
will smith son
um
uh
uh,
Jaden.
Yeah, him.
He's too old now.
Yeah.
I mean, he's tall now, but,
um,
I don't know.
I just
leave that,
leave that story alone and just continue
with this.
So,
but,
um,
hopefully he don't pop up in it.
Who knows?
Maybe Will Smith go,
hey man,
we should try to get him.
It won't fit.
I mean,
nobody knows him.
So it'd be pointed
It's not canon, so no.
No.
But we could be here all night, and we can turn this into a 10-hour show.
But you got anything else before we get out of you?
No, just each season gets phenomenally better, in my opinion,
they just give you exactly what you need.
I'm looking forward to season four.
Come on, Terry,
silver, Mike Barnes,
fucking bring Dennis and
fucking snake,
bring the whole gang
and let's,
let's do this.
What's her name?
Next Karate Kid.
I'm with you.
If she shows up,
okay,
I'm fine with it,
but do I want it?
Not really,
but if she does,
just make the reason good.
If they need more firepower,
okay.
but I think they can do it to me if they bring in chosen if he comes flying in to California and for the showdown cool I mean I think I think he's more than enough he doesn't need that I don't think they would need anyone else because I think fighting style as I mean fighting skill I think chosen is above Daniel and Johnny because he got trained more from Sato so
but I don't know
we'll see season four
but yeah I mean
we know Terry Silver's coming
Mike Barnes is the one that
we're not sure of
I want him to be there
they did show a flashback
of him
and at the beginning of the third season
so
I don't know my fingers across
hopefully he comes back I do follow that
actor on Instagram and he's
still out there doing it.
So hopefully he does come into this.
I don't see why they can't mean,
they're bringing in everyone else.
I mean,
if Elizabeth Shue came in as well as
Tamlin Tomita and
Chosen, I don't even want to try
to say his own name.
They brought the girl that was ringing the bell
in the storm in part two.
Was that the same actress?
I didn't even do it.
Oh, it was.
Oh, cool.
Right on.
Yeah, that was a shocker.
Because at that end of that episode,
when Daniel was getting ready to fly back home,
we do find out that Daniel's business is better because the little girl he saved in the second film during that storm.
She is the, I guess, she's in charge of American sales for Doyona.
or whatever that company is called over there.
And it was cool.
That was a good surprise for her to pop up because she goes,
you don't remember me?
And he was like, what?
Then they show the flashback.
I went, I was like, oh, wow.
I mean, I thought that was really good.
So, I mean, the writers for the show, they're really doing their job,
bringing in cameos and everything.
So that was a good, a good little shocker.
for this.
If, okay, I'm looking, I'm looking at the cast.
And like I said, if they needed more firepower for whatever reason, they could get Bobby and, what was the other kid?
They got other guy's name?
Jimmy.
Jimmy.
I mean, they could bring those two in.
I mean, Bobby still, he obviously still has it because he ended up sweeping the leg on, on Johnny when they were at the church.
Yeah.
Spring Dutch out of prison.
Yeah, but he's probably mad.
I'm sure he was kicking ass in jail somewhere,
but they could bring those two in again if they needed more muscle,
but I don't know.
Well, we'll see where it goes,
and hopefully it gets here as soon as it can.
This year, I know we're only,
into the second month, but
ah man,
I can't wait for season four.
I mean, we,
I know it's greenlit, but we
know nothing
of what's going on in it.
So, I mean, obviously
they're doing really good, keeping it under wraps.
But I don't know.
We'll see.
Because, I mean, I never even saw any
photos online
for season two or three.
I mean, because usually, I mean, they're out filming in the streets.
So it's not like someone can snap a shot really quick of something because, I don't know.
We'll see.
But Mike Barnes and Terry Silver, I mean, no Terry's coming, but Mike Barnes, my fingers are crossed that he comes back.
All right.
So this is part of the show when you let the listeners know what you got coming.
We're going to do our next episode for Wanda Vision.
We're going to be covering episodes four and five.
Speaking of that, five is up right now.
Should I watch it before I go to bed?
Maybe.
I don't know.
We'll see.
But that's coming as well as another regular episode of East Society.
I think we're going to.
Zizu's got more NBA stuff.
I know the NBA is not going right now,
but he really keeps up and all that.
As far as his other reality shows that he does with his daughter,
I'm not sure.
I think they got one more Big Brother show coming.
I can't get into that show.
He tried to get me into when I was at his house.
That's all we watched.
And I mean, I was like, okay, whatever.
But I'm good.
But yeah, E Society is coming.
Wanda Vision episode is coming.
And as far as that, I think that's all I know we got.
But go over to Skaterness Podcast Network.
You can search that on Apple Podcasts or Google or Podbean is our host.
Then shoot on over to Anchor and listen to everything we got on there.
Dealing with the East Society.
Just search either McNaz or E Society and it'll pop up.
out to Taylor. We did drop a
Blu-ray update talking
about movies that
new Blu-rays we picked up.
We usually wait until we got a
pile before we do episodes.
So I haven't
even started a new pile yet. So
I'm sure maybe end of the month
we'll probably do another one. But
as far as that, yeah, that's all we got coming.
What do we got coming on the horror
returns?
First
new movie
in shit, I think, since
Bill and Ted
faced the music, we are doing
Neil Marshall's The Reckoning,
which drops
February
the 5th. So by the time you hear this,
that movie should be out in
possibly that episode.
We still got stream fiends coming.
The Little Things from
HBO Max and
show announcement for the
action returns, we are scaling back
to one movie and episode.
because we like to really get into these movies.
And I know it might be a little long for listening.
I appreciate everybody that does listen.
But we're going to scale it back to one movie, a show.
And the next show will be class of 1984.
Oh, man.
I love that movie.
Introduced it to Zisu, and he never even heard of it.
Now he loves it.
so, but cool.
I'm all on board.
But everyone, thank you so much for listening to,
what episode is this?
I don't even know.
This is episode,
I want to say 27, maybe?
Yeah, something like that.
27.
Sounds good.
It's 27.
Yeah, episode 27, shit, 27 episodes.
Damn, Tim, felt like we just started doing this one.
But, yeah, everyone listening to it.
Thank you so much.
Friends of my eyes that listen to our shows over on Skaternez,
I always send them over to horror returns,
and they start listening to everything there.
So they love action as well as stream fiends.
Nice.
Even that show, man.
Episode 7, we're going to have eight pretty soon.
But, man, it's been a fun ride, everyone.
I mean, thank you for everybody that listens to everything that I'm a part of
as well as everything here on the horror returns.
But yeah, that's going to be it, everyone.
It's getting late.
So, but please, please be safe out there.
And thank you so much for listening.
Thank you so much for tuning in.
And spread the word on our shows.
Tell your mom, tell your dad, tell your friends to come over.
We can always use more listeners.
Dealing with stream themes,
if anyone wants us to watch a film,
let us know and we'll check it out.
Either we've seen it already or maybe we'll just talk about it again if we haven't covered it yet.
Absolutely.
So definitely give us or even action films.
It doesn't have to be anything popular.
It can be something that you love that we've never even heard of.
Yeah.
Because there's tons and tons of action movies out there.
Mike sent me a whole bunch of recommendations that I've never heard of.
All right.
one better not be
thou shan not be killed
because I hate that movie
let me
let me look to see
if that was one of them
I know there's fans of that
it is a cult classic
but I fucking hate that movie
no
okay good
we already covered it on
a McNaz
