What'd you work for?
Suck my fucking dick.
What did you say?
I said, suck my fucking dick.
Suck you're on, dick.
Back everybody to another episode of the action returns.
I'm your host Brian.
With me as always is my brother Nez.
What's up, man?
I'm good, man.
Just, oh, late, everybody.
We tried and tried, but this whole.
old man can't keep his eyes open.
I'm awake for you guys a night.
Oh, man. Tell them what
they're in for this episode.
2021's Rath of Man
starring Jason Statham.
I need to know who killed
my son. It's got to be an inside
job. Not good enough.
As requested, a brand new
you. The boss is
going undercover. There's an arm and truck
driver. Get in
the truck.
Sorry, pal.
He's not a cop.
It's very important that you take my inquiry seriously.
Wrath of Man, rated R.
In theaters May 7th.
Let's see.
Google.
Mysterious and wide-eyed,
it's already starting out weird.
Mysterious and wild-eyed,
a new security guard for a cash truck surprises his coworkers when he
unleases,
unleash his precision skills during a heist the crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from soon the marksman's ultimate motive becomes clear when he takes dramatic and a
rebelical i don't know i can't read it's like steps to settle a score that was kind of lengthy for google come on i mdb the plot follows h a cold and mysterious
character working a cash
cash truck company responsible
for moving hundreds of millions
of dollars around Los Angeles
for each week.
I can go with that one.
This stars Jason
Stathen.
Holt McColony.
That's the guy from
Creepshaw, right? Yeah.
Whatever the Indian guy's name was.
He was always talking about his
hair. He's going to make it
Hollywood.
Josh Hartnett, who had the weirdest name in this movie.
Was it a boy sweat Dave?
Everybody had crazy names in this one.
Let's see.
Rochi Williams, Jeffrey Donovan, Scott Eastwood, Andy Garcia for a minute.
Giobe, Oprah, Operai, Laslan.
So, Mother's Milk from the boys, a bunch of other people.
This is, of course, directed by Guy Ritchie.
Nez, what did you think of wrath of man?
All right.
I had to watch this one twice because this movie was fucking awesome.
I loved it.
I didn't know what to expect.
I'm kicking myself like, why didn't I go to the theater and see this?
Well, when this came out, I was scared to go to the theater.
But I'm back in action.
I went three times so far.
But, oh, man, I wish I would have saw this on the screen.
I mean, when I heard it was Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham,
I wasn't sure, was it going to be a comedy like The Gentleman?
So I wasn't really sure.
I was like, all right, well, Guy Ritchie, man, he hits it out of the park.
Not every time, but the gentleman was awesome movie.
And then I was like, okay, he's teaming up with the Turkish again.
So let's check this out.
The Turkish is from a snatch, everyone.
You guys haven't seen that one.
How come you ain't bringing up Aladdin?
All right.
I tried on that one, and I couldn't do it.
I mean, Will Smith, brother, I love you, but no.
You ain't no Robin Williams.
and I don't even know what they were trying to do with that film.
But anyway, oh, man, this movie was awesome.
And when we do these reviews, I try to go into these, to these films cold,
like not knowing anything about them, just hitting play and going for it.
And I was blown away on how awesome this movie was.
It was like, as soon as I was done, I was like, I got to watch this again.
end.
And if you're familiar with Guy Ritchie's films, I mean, they're never straightforward movies.
They always jump all over the place.
But it fits in how he's laying out the story.
And he did that with this one as well.
And it made you like, you had a lot of questions before you actually get to the end on what's going on in the story.
And why is he doing it this?
why is Guy Ritchie putting in his film together like this?
Because it jumps all over the place.
But once you sit there, that's why I had to watch it twice because I was like,
oh, okay, I had to put piece it all together as it was going along.
But man, this movie, I would say right now out of everything that I've seen him,
Snatch being my favorite film of Guy Ritchie.
I had this, what was that, lockstock and two smoking barrels or whatever?
That was my second favorite.
it but this Rathamand bumping that one out of the number two spot because this this movie was
awesome I loved it uh jason statham is just badass period I mean and everything he's doing
is he in the Meg 2 yes I'm gonna have to do a rewind on that first one
I saw it once the guy that did directed free fires is doing that one
Okay, I did I enjoyed that film, but I know, we'll see.
But this movie was, was awesome, man.
I mean, what was going on in it, the action, the shoot-em-up action that was going on in this.
And it was, it was tough, man.
I couldn't believe what I was watching.
I wasn't expecting, it's expecting this.
Has Guy Ritchie done?
I mean, any action films, really?
I
I can tell you
I don't think
off of memory
I don't think straight up action
I think action S
because I mean he did
the Sherlock Holmes movies
there's some action in there
and
I think he has elements of action
I don't think he
I think this is from what I can think
of the first straight up action movie
he's directing Aladdin too
got to get that money
I guess the gentleman's got a TV series.
I'm looking down his.
He did the man from uncle.
I didn't like that at all.
Yeah, I guess he really hasn't done any like straight action ones.
I mean, like Sherlock Holmes, those were good movies,
but they were kind of actiony comedies, I would say.
But this one was just straight.
King Arthur?
I didn't like that one at all
That was the one with the jacks right
Yeah, it was a fucking stupid-ass movie
I tapped out when he started shadowboxing
I was like you're in medieval times
What are you doing shadow boxing like you getting ready for the big fight
It's weird
But I mean this this movie was tough man
I mean everything about it all the
characters that was in it
um what was happening
why um what was
his oh h why he was
doing what he was doing
and it just
it all just made sense and it was a
really good movie um
Scott Eastwood
man he was he was hardcore
in this movie
um
I can take him or leave him
in movies I mean
yeah he looks just like his dad and
you got the
Eastwood name.
But I mean, I think he's starting to come,
come around to where he,
I don't know as far as him being a lead actor.
Yeah.
I know he's done one of those cowboy movies.
I haven't seen it,
but I saw that he was the lead in it.
I want to watch it mainly because I like all his
dad's little spaghetti westerns.
But every time he's in films,
I mean, he plays the roles he's supposed to play.
So I think it's cool.
If you guys have seen,
um,
was it Texas chainsaw?
I was shocked that he was in that.
I had to go rewatch that one recently,
but he was in that
and he had a small role in Grand Torino
and then whatever that cowboy movie was.
I was cracking up.
When I realized that was him.
Yeah, I didn't notice
that was him the very first time.
A long neighborhood.
They will kick your ass.
The little bit he had in
Suicide Squad and all the
movies he had done but um i think he can play a good he can play a good bad guy i know there's
rumors of them wanting to do a remake of dirty harry and having him be harry callahan yeah i don't
think so you're not your dad i mean yeah you got your dad's blood pumping through your heart but
nah i mean your dad is is harry callahan no no one else can do it but but
you guys know Hollywood and I'm sure they're listening to me so they're gonna do it it's just a rumor right now I don't know if there's any truth to it but if they did do it I'd go watch it just to just because but if he was more like this plain dirty Harry than I can I can kind of get with it yeah Jeffrey Donovan um
first movie I'd seen him in was
a, was that Bluer Witch Book of
Shadows? Yeah. I was
the first movie. I see, every time I
see him in something, I,
that's the movie I go to.
Oh, it's like a burn notice and I've
never seen that show.
And he had a part in
Sicario, I remember that.
And a bunch of
little TV shows and everything else
he's done. But he does his part. He can
be a good action
dude. He can be a good bad guy.
or just a wise guy in this.
Andy Garcia, it was good to see him pop up in this.
I hadn't seen him in a while.
I mean, he was, he's in it, but he's not very much.
Like that paycheck.
Yeah.
But I think out of the regulars of Guy Ritchie other than Jason Statham,
Eddie Marsan, I want to say he's been in other movies.
I could be wrong, but he just, I know he's got to act.
accent from whatever country he's from but yeah he was in the gentleman yeah um and josh hardin it
i like him in just about everything when he's doing serious roles i mean was that one when he
couldn't get laid for uh 40 days and 40 nights yeah man one of my friends took me she loves him
come let's go see let's go see it all i was like uh but uh we did uh my son and i we just watched um
hollow uh Halloween or h two uh
he wanted to watch all the Halloween movies so we went through all the
pick up the 4Ks right now Halloween 3 is the only one that I really want
but since I've joined this Scream Factory group on on Facebook
I've been on like a mad rampage buying nothing but though I mean the last
20 to 30 movies have been Scream Factory or
shell factory. I mean, I just
been
during the prime days
and during
Target's two for one,
I was buying movies left
and right and yes.
I love Halloween. I love Halloween.
The original John Carpenter and I love Halloween
I love Halloween three.
I think that's the only one
I might get, but I'm sure
I'll maybe
just the first
three. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't need really need
more Halloween one movies because I got, I don't know how many different steel books. And then the
4K1 came out and I just got the regular go around. I don't know. But we'll see. But definitely
I'm getting Halloween three. But anyway, back to Ratham. Yeah, man. I just thought this was
an awesome film on what was going on and how ruthless these guys were.
Everybody in it was pretty much ruthless that were bad guys in everything.
I was a little lost in the first time I watched it because when we're not going to spoil it because this is a new movie a new film.
I don't think it's out for sale yet.
I know you can buy it like digitally, but it's not a,
blue I'm hoping there's a steel book but probably there's not there's not I'm just gonna get the 4k one um but
I mean Jason Statham Deshaar H he just shows up at this armored company and he won the very
beginning of the film this is all stuff that's in the trailer there's a these guys in a armored truck
they're just talking about whatever and then they get held up by these construction workers and
And then you really don't see anything.
You just hear it.
You hear gunshots.
You hear a guy screaming outside of the truck.
And that's how the movie begins.
And then this is when we're introduced to H.
Jason Statham's character where he goes, applies for a job at this armored truck company.
And he's just the mysterious man that walks off the street and gets the job.
Bullet, Holmick-Calney or whatever.
he
gonna kill me until I remember his name
and creep show
but anyway he
he kind of
white moon
I love that
I love creep show too
and I love that story
if I ever met him I would
that's the only thing I would talk about
like come on
but he didn't write any of that
he
yeah it was
it was the time
different times
yeah because we
We didn't, between this and stream fiends, we didn't talk about plenty of questionable casting.
Different times in the 80, late 80s, everyone.
So, a bullet kind of just shows him the ropes on what he's doing.
First, he had to take some tests, driving the truck, shooting a gun, because these are armed,
secure, armed truck drivers.
And then he just had some more introduced to the rest of the gang.
all the guys at work for this armor truck company
what was that young the young chick's name
Dana
Neumah
Algar I think that's how you say your name
That was about right
For some reason I can only remember boy sweat
Because I was like that's your nickname
Test what you're going with
It was like everyone just got a nickname
That worked at this truck
company and they think i mean of course when you when you knew on the job everyone kind of gives
the little hazing thing everyone was kind of just giving him shit and everything but uh he goes
goes out for a couple jobs and then one of them yeah he gets held up by uh what's his name
uh post malone and his crew uh musically all right man you do your thing but acting uh i don't know
He's kind of let me down and everything I've seen him.
I'm going to say it again.
You got to get that paycheck.
Yeah.
I'm sure he doesn't need it.
And really quick, if you're a person that has tattoos all over your face, hey, man, do you.
But for me personally, I'm like, I don't see it.
I don't see why people do it.
But that's my opinion.
Again, if you do it, cool.
I can see one.
Maybe one little, you know, but all over your face, yeah, I'm not with that either.
So when these guys, these mask guys just pull up to this truck and they pretty much block them in.
And then H is like he just, because what do you call it?
the
I can't think of the words late everyone
but when you get in this situation
the truck driver or the company says
just other than don't get out of the truck
but if there's reason
if there's any reasons that you're out of the truck
just let them let them take it
don't try to be a hero
but H was like fuck that
and he just
well I'll spoil this part
This is in the very beginning of the film.
But man, he just lights those fools up.
Man, we're just a pistol.
And just boom, boom, boom, boom.
First, they're unloading the truck because I think they were going to kill one of the drivers that they had.
So he's unloading the, he's throwing the bags in the back of a pickup truck.
And then he kind of throws one on the ground.
And then they go, hey, man, it's fucking with us.
And then they go, hey, man, you do that again, man.
We're going to kill this dude.
So he's like, all right.
Sorry about that.
As he throws another one into the truck, he's got his pistol and just whap,
wept, starts lighting up those fools, man.
Just head shots all around.
Yeah, which, mind you, he, when he got the job, he, everything was, uh,
the minimum, uh, to, to get the job, like passing all the tests.
So it's kind of surprising, I mean, not for me because it's Jason Statham, but I
If you're not Jason Statham fan and seeing how he came into getting this job,
it was surprising that, you know, he's just doing headshots, you know, one shot per person, you know.
Yeah, because it wasn't, it was, it was precise.
It wasn't like he was just, he wasn't just pulling the trigger and bullets going anywhere.
No, he was checking his fire and boom, boom, hitting everyone that he pointed the gun at.
post Malone goes running away he just kind of walks after him
and then he kind of likes him that was at the clip I played at the very
beginning because he pulled he rolls up on him
and oh he asked him like well who do you work for and he's like
suck my dick you know what I said suck my fucking dig
and then he just shoots up suck your owner whatever he said
oh and then once they get back to work is when
That's when the story goes and the guys that were with him.
I think Bullitt was with him.
Let's them everybody know what he saw.
White Moon.
What he saw and what H did.
And then everyone's just like, what, what, him?
And at this point in the film, we see that he is, he is there for a reason.
Because there's a scene where he's trying to, he's getting.
getting ready to punch out and he's like eyeing everybody's little punch cards that they got.
And then he's really, he's looking for something.
I'm sure the trailer spoiled, spoiled what was going on in the film, but we're not going to.
But we find out that he's on a mission and why he is there at this armor truck company.
So, but then that's what's where the, where the story goes.
goes from there. And again,
this is a film that jumps all over the
place because it'll be
like the present time, then
it'll go back a month or two.
And then it'll jump forward again and all over
the place. But when it
does that, when the movie said and done,
you do see
why he's doing
all this. I mean, there was some, there was some
scenes in it that were pretty ruthless.
When they rolled into that
that warehouse, when they were,
where those dudes who were kidnapped those teenagers and were making videos.
I was like, damn.
But I mean, this is the deal with organized crime in L.A.
And it just goes from there.
I mean, that's why I thought this story was, was awesome on what was going on and
what his mission was that he needed to be accomplished.
Because, I mean, when the movie was said and done, when it was over, I was like,
Yeah.
I had to clap because I was like, man, this was fucking awesome.
And then I just hit rewind and watched it again.
Yeah, I can't wait until this comes up, man.
I'm buying this movie.
This movie was awesome.
Yeah, I agree with you.
I think with this and the gentleman, I think Guy Ritchie is kind of, I mean, he never left,
but I think he's kind of back because he's putting out great films.
And, yeah, I enjoyed the casting this.
The action was great.
Jason State, I mean, you know, he's trying to play the part.
Like, you know, he's, he's like a regular guy trying to try to get this job in an armored truck.
But he's just, he's too cool.
And he's too badass.
And it kind of just, kind of just outweighs that whole persona he's trying to push.
But, I mean, it works for the movie because nobody knows who he is.
and um yeah the josh hartnett and this fucking boy sweatsh shit you remember when he was like starring in movies
yeah he's just he's just showing that guy so he's just there i mean yeah i mean i mean i've liked him
in the movies he's done i mean my favorite of josh hardin it is um 30 days night i love that movie
but when he when he popped on the screen i was like oh cool i don't
was thinking he would have had a much bigger part in this.
I mean, but all these actors that are in it, I mean, you've seen them in other films,
but they all have pretty much the same screen time other than Jason Statham.
You know, he's the main guy.
Of course, he's going to be throughout the whole film.
But everyone else that's in it, that you recognize in it, they all have the right amount
of screen time and everything.
They didn't just focus on one guy other than the main character.
So, I mean, I loved what was going on.
And the story just, it played out.
It had a beginning and middle and an end.
And yes, it jumped all over the place, but it's still, it made a lot of good sense when the film was over.
I mean, he, did he write this too?
He was one of the co-writers.
Okay.
But one thing I would like to see.
we're not going to like you said we're not going to spoil it but the the kind of reveal of who h was or is and what he does in real life i kind of want a prequel movie of that yeah i was
i mean i'm okay here's another scene when some guys try to rob the the truck again and he just steps out of the back
and the robbers see him
and then they're like
fuck and then everyone did they just
get out of here everyone jumped in the cars
and takes off no
not messing with that man
and there's like I said when you find
out what he does
I'm like I'm
really because he's he's
also with
that what he does in his real life
he's cold blooded with that too
and I would
definitely be there for a prequel
yeah i i would like to see what what he does uh i mean if yeah if they did a prequel to uh how he became
who he was uh in l a in the l a crime world because i just i just thought that that whole crew he
had was was tough i mean they were ruthless guys i mean were they good guys or bad guys i don't
know i mean there wasn't really any good good good
guys in this. It seemed like everybody
was a bad guy, but
I don't know, except for boy
sweat. I mean, the guys
that were just honestly trying to just work
but they got caught in the cross
fire of what was going on
in this. Yeah,
this movie was good. Yeah.
This movie is good.
There's a lot of
gunfire in this movie
and it was really cool. I
really love this film.
but yeah I can't
we can spoil it but I don't know
this movie is too new I think if you guys have not seen it yet
I'm sure it'll be out for rental
I'm surprised why it's not for rental
because you can buy it for 1999
on any of these
things that the seller movies
iTunes or Prime or whatever
I think by the time
listeners hear this
it'll be for purchase digital and blue ray 4k all that stuff
when does it come out do you know uh next week oh okay
and everybody don't forget to get your uh mortal combat steel book too
that come out too yeah next week oh man i better pre-order that
i'm gonna be stuck yeah last time with um
I didn't even know when Kong and Godzilla was coming out.
Nice thing you know sold out.
I didn't really care for that movie anyway, but,
uh,
I don't know.
But, um,
yeah,
man,
we,
we don't,
we don't want to spoil it.
So,
uh,
anything else for you that here?
No,
uh,
everybody check it out.
It's,
uh,
great Jason State,
the movie,
great guy,
Ritchie movie,
lots of action,
uh,
a lot of like we mentioned a lot of the you might not know the actor's name but you definitely recognize
them and uh yeah great movie i hope he gets a sequel prequel anything anything from from that comes
out of this movie i think would be fantastic yep i hope that he continues this story and don't go
overboard give us one more movie and then that's it don't keep making more because then that's when
he turns into the hero
But, all right.
Next up on the actual returns, we are going to talk about another new release,
trying to get all the new releases out because it is finally getting them.
Pandemic's not over, but we finally get new releases.
So we're going to talk about nobody.
I always want to call it Mr. Nobody, but it's not Kurt Russell.
It's Bob Oden Kirk.
So anything you guys got coming over there?
We'll have a new episode out.
We did drop two new East societies like back to back over the week.
So because we we had to cut it down to break it up in the two episodes because they would have been four hours long if we just did what we did.
because we had a lot to talk about.
And I didn't even really watch anything in the TV section,
but we had this huge two-hour conversation about everything that he had watched.
So that's all.
I don't think we can go two more hours with the movies.
Plus, we had a ton of movies.
So we got a TV episode and then we got a movie episode.
Definitely check those all out.
Also, another, the third video in my East Society or Skate Society videos on our YouTube channel.
that third video was up hopefully next couple days i'll work on another one i just been watching
a lot of old skate videos and trying to pick what i want to talk about um so thanks that's uh there
and oh uh the zisu just dropped a his big brother show that he does for on our anchor feed
and I'm not the one for these reality shows,
but he's deep into it.
I am going to be on one episode.
He wants me to watch the first episode.
I'll give you guys a brief sneak peek.
I don't want to fall down this hole with these reality shows.
Big Brother is a show.
But yeah, I guess it's Big Brother 23.
season 23 so
gosh yeah I didn't even know
there was that many but
his first episode is up on
our East Society anchor feed
so definitely go over there and check it out
and yeah as far as that
that's it
I should also say something else I don't remember
I don't know it's late everyone but yeah
go over there and check out all that stuff
uh horror returns
we got our part two
of 1986 with
shit, what is it?
Man Hunter and
Henry Portrait of a Serial
Killer. We might have a couple
guests. We might not.
It's probably be a game time decision on
that one, so I won't say who.
Of course
we said we got nobody coming next
for action returns and
stream fiends. We got House
Party three. We're going to see
if I missed Jamal Johnson or not
if he was needed.
part three and of course we we got them bonus episodes uh life life's been happening so that's
why we ain't been pumping out the episodes as usual but uh we'll get them we'll get them to you
eventually we ain't going nowhere no but um yeah yeah we got to do those bonus ones i i forgot
what was was the watch but but uh anyway everyone thank you so much for listening do check out
everything here on the horror returns network um
We got another wrestling returns episode coming for, what was it, NXT one?
A great American bash.
Yeah.
Yeah, we gave you a little half-assed one of hell in the cell, but if you saw it, you know why.
Yeah, and for wrestling returns, I'll speak on a couple things from Raw and, is it, AEW?
because there was some people that showed up on both shows that I was pretty happy with.
So we'll talk about that when we get to it.
Yep.
So everyone, just thank you so much for listening and come back next week for more.
So until then, just be safe out there and party on.
And everybody, make sure you guys stay good to each other.
And like Nets says, be safe.
