Starting point is 00:00:00 And he's laughing at us right on the radio. He's laughing at us. No, it's me laughing, Dick, kid. We won. All right, right. They won, too, ma'am. That's not what I heard. Well, we did. We got gesture. No, no. Below the hard deck does not count. Hard deck my ass. We nailed that son of a bitch. You guys really are, cowboys.
Starting point is 00:00:19 What's your problem, Kazansky? You're everyone's problem. That's because every time you go up in the air, you're unsafe. I don't like you because you're dangerous. That's right. Nice. Man. I am dangerous. I need some action tonight. Back with another episode of the Action Returns.
Starting point is 00:00:58 I'm your host Brian and with me. I've been waiting for this one for a long time. My brother Nets, if you guys know, if you guys heard his feelings on Top Gun, this should be an interesting one. What's up, man? Yeah. Well, I'll tell you guys
Starting point is 00:01:18 The story At the end of why If you've been listening to East Society and all that You already know the story But yeah Give them the rundown It's about getting the chance
Starting point is 00:01:39 I'm going to send you up against the best Yes sir You don't own that plan The taxpayers do Going the distance You need to be doing it better And cleaner than the other guy and being the best.
Starting point is 00:01:52 Make us proud. You are America's best. Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Top Gun, rated PG, special sneak preview Saturday, May 10th, check newspapers for showtimes and theaters. All right, let's go to Google, and of course, Google has a paragraph.
Starting point is 00:02:10 The Top Gun Naval Fighter Weapons School is where the best of the best trying to refine their elite flying skills. When hot shot fighter pilot, Maverick is sent to the school. His reckless attitude and cocky demeanor put him at odds with other pilots, especially the cool and collected Iceman. But Maverick isn't only competing to be the top fighter pilot. He's also fighting for the attention of his beautiful flight instructor, Charlotte Blackwood.
Starting point is 00:02:45 All right. IMDB. as students at the United States Navy, Navy's elite fighter weapons school compete to be the best in the class. One daring young pilot learns a few things from a civilian instructor that are not taught in the club. Did he? This, of course, stars Tom Cruise's Maverick. Kelly McGillis as, I don't know, I understand why she had a call sign. Her call sign was Charlie.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Val Kilmer is Iceman Anthony Edwards is Goose Tom Scarrett is Piper Michael Ironside is Jester John Stockwell It's Cougar Barry Tubb is Wolfman Rick Rossovich Not that Rick Ross
Starting point is 00:03:32 Not the rapper as slider Tim Robbins is Merlin And Meg Ryan This is directed by Tony Scott Rest in Peace Written by Jim Cash Jack Epps Jr. I had
Starting point is 00:03:48 Yanei fuck the name of Warren Shorin and this is produced by Don Simpson and Jerry
Starting point is 00:03:57 Bruchheimer Nez Why do you hate this movie so much All right everyone The year is
Starting point is 00:04:04 1986 When did this come out Was it June I believe I think I think this was a summer
Starting point is 00:04:14 movie Oh May Okay All right. So, yeah, pretty much summer was about to hit us coming down to the last few weeks of school. I think I was in junior high at the time. Anyway, top gun came out. The commercials, the trailers and all that were all over the place. Every channel, every way you looked, billboards, magazines, even the National Enquirer.
Starting point is 00:04:45 I mean, all the shit like that. Top Gun. Crazy. There was one TV spot that came on. Number one movie in the world or whatever the hell it said. I tried to find the trailer, but I couldn't find it. Or the TV spot. Oh, they're showing clips of the film, Danger's Zones, blasting in the background.
Starting point is 00:05:08 They're interviewing people as they're coming out of the theater. I assume it's one of the theaters in L.A. and they're like oh man it's like the best movie ever now this movie makes me want to join the navy right now and i'm like wow okay fuck this is what the 15 year old nez and i'm like i what shit i need to see this movie i know who um what's his nuts is anthony edwards i believe this was um was this after or before no i think it was after uh revenge of the nerds yeah um i think oh val kilmer of course he was in Top Secret and all that. And Michael Ironside, of course, from Scanners and that awesome TV show V.
Starting point is 00:05:53 So I'm like, okay. And Tom's Gary. We knew he was because of Alien and all that shit. Meg Ryan, she's popped up in a bunch of things. So I'm like, oh, man, it's got the cast. Tom Cruise is awesome. The trailer looks cool. Try to go.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Can't get in. Sold out. And next weekend. tried to go again sold out. Third weekend sold out. So I assume it was coming on right after the third weekend. I just went after school.
Starting point is 00:06:28 So it seems to be the only time I can get in to see this movie. So go to school, skate down in movie theater after school, go in and watch this movie. There might have been me and maybe a handful of other people in there. It might have been like a three or four o'clock show.
Starting point is 00:06:47 sit down, got my drink, got my popcorn. I'm ready to watch Top Gun to watch this most amazing film that everyone's talking about. Even my teachers at school, like, oh my God, you haven't seen that movie? It's this, it's that. Oh, cool. Nobody spoiled it, so I didn't know what the movie was about. So the soundtrack was already out, and it was hitting with every song on that thing. There was just multiple hits off of the soundtrack.
Starting point is 00:07:14 I think it did like five weeks at number one or something like that. And then movie starts. Cool, right on. Sit through this movie. Heard nothing but good things about it and how much action is in this film. Sit there watching. Waiting, waiting. All right.
Starting point is 00:07:36 Cool. Tom Cruise, all that. Da-da-da-da. Here comes Kelly McGillis. Here comes take my breath away. and then the movie's over. Well, a few more jet scenes and then it's over. So basically pretty much is one actual, like,
Starting point is 00:07:55 fight scene at the end. Movies over. I'm sitting there like trying to take all this movie in. I get up, I walk out, I'm going to skating over to the bus stop, and then I'm sitting there. And this movie is fucking bullshit. All the shit that everybody was hyped,
Starting point is 00:08:16 to hypen up to me on how awesome this movie was. And I'm not, I'm not bullshit, you know, I was excited. I was ready to see this movie. But all the shit they were saying on the TV and friends that saw it and my teacher and everybody else was like, this movie was fucking garbage. I was like, oh, it was nothing but a fucking love story. Oh, a little bit of jet action.
Starting point is 00:08:43 I know at the times Tom's crew, Tom Cruise was, is, the huge big star, the huge action stuntman star that he is now. Seeing all the Mission of Possible and everything else he's done after that. He pretty much does all his own stunts. And I was just like
Starting point is 00:09:00 oh man, I was like, what the fuck that everyone? Why was this shit so overhyped to me? I saw no, I think I saw like twice in a theater. I think the second time I saw it was just some friends. Come on, come on, come on. Let's go see it. I don't want to see it by myself.
Starting point is 00:09:15 and I'm like, uh, who they paid for it. So I went and saw it again. Same, same thing. He loved it. And his girlfriend was, oh, my God. I was, I don't know what the fuck you guys were watching, but all right. So as the years went by, I was just, uh, not just fucking everybody was spouting lines. Of course, it's got a bunch of lines.
Starting point is 00:09:37 Everyone spits out and this and then the references and then the hot shot movies come out. And those, those were funnier than this are better than this shit. shout out to Charlie Sheen or Charles Sheen or how was he Charles Estevez and one of those Charlos Estabez. But I was just like, oh man, there's, there's, there has been a lot of movies that were overhyped to me. And when I saw them, I was just like, this, this wasn't the only one. That Henry portrait of a serial killer, a cannibal Holocaust. lost.
Starting point is 00:10:15 This and there might be a few other ones that were like just over, oversold. And I just, I understand why everyone likes this. This is a true 80s classic. I love the soundtrack more than a movie. But I just,
Starting point is 00:10:34 I couldn't get behind it. I mean, I wanted it to be amazing. I wanted it to be awesome. everybody I mean nothing against anybody that was in the film everybody did their job Val Kilmer he was the best the best thing of this film he was awesome and yes he is Batman he's badass Tim Robbins he was only in it for like he's only in it for like a second but he's a Academy Award winner so he's like top four build on IMDB Tim
Starting point is 00:11:08 Robbins he's a Academy Award winner man got to put him up there. He shows up in the beginning and then the end. They needed the best firepower for the end. And he has a mask on most of the time so you don't even really see his face. Until they're like
Starting point is 00:11:26 when they're doing the whole thing's over and they're all cheering on the aircraft carrier. That's what I noticed to. Tim Robbins. Was this before Howard the Duck? Because I think that's what I remembered him from. I want to say this, this might be after. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Well, whatever it was. But anyway, I mean, that's, that's why every time someone brings up top gun, I like blew the Zisu's mind when we were talking about this and how much I hated this. And he was like,
Starting point is 00:12:01 well, he just couldn't believe it. Every time I bring this up to somebody or somebody brings it up to me and, oh, man, it's awesome. And then I'm just like, uh, and then we're getting this new one.
Starting point is 00:12:13 this week. I'm going Thursday night to see it. Of course, IMAX. I am excited for this one. Because that was first trailers and that shit that they showed us at Comic-Con in, what was that, 2019? I mean, that trailer did it.
Starting point is 00:12:31 I don't know. What Tom Cruise said is, that was the first time they ever showed it. But so I was ready. And I was like, oh, this looks like legit. I mean, because in this one, again, Tom Cruise isn't the stuntman that he is now
Starting point is 00:12:46 because all the jets and everything Of course those are real jets flying around But when they show them in the cockpit It's Hollywood And when that one jet Does a When their jet does that flat spin That then you can clearly see that's a model
Starting point is 00:13:02 But I just It was oversold to me It was just Because at this time This was probably the big movie of 86. I might be wrong, but
Starting point is 00:13:16 this is the one that was everybody was talking about. I don't even know what the movies were in 1986. Let me see. There was only one movie in 86. You got soul man. You got cobra.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Star Trek 4, The Voyage Home. We're not starting off. here. Howard the Duck. Okay, it came out the same year. Platoon, that one best picture that year. Dundee, the first one. Brighton Beach Memoirs, awesome film. The First Critters, Short Circuit, awesome film. Color of Money, another Tom Cruise film. That was good. Invaders from Mars. I love that movie. The remake. What else did we get? The Toby Hooper one? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:11 of the Raith. That movie is awesome. And Schwarzenegger's raw deal. Go back to the beginning when we started this. We got the fly with Jeff Goldblum. Dead Time Stories. Maximum Overdrive. Aliens.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Karate Kid 3. Charles Bronson above the law. Ferris Bieler's Day Off. Stand by me. Friday 13th part 6. Jason lives. I mean, the hitcher. Did we do that one yet?
Starting point is 00:14:41 Not yet. All right. Man Hunter. That was awesome. Delta Force, the first one. Psycho 3, Texas Chainsaw 2. Chopin Mall.
Starting point is 00:14:53 April Fool's Day. And there's a bunch of American tale. That first movie. I can't leave out to one of the greatest movies of 1986. And we're going to be talking about this one pretty soon. Iron Eagle. Big trouble in Little China.
Starting point is 00:15:08 I know it didn't do good in the box office. But, I mean, It's, I loved it when I first saw it. Transformers, the movie, Fly and the Navigator. So I think out of everything that I've read, other than Platoon, which one, dumb ass golden child, other than, hey, hey, platoon that won best picture. Top Gun was probably the biggest movie that year.
Starting point is 00:15:33 I mean, there was a lot of good movies that came out. I mean, I just read some of them, the ones that catch my eye and everything. but I mean I would have to say man I mean maybe someone can argue with me on what's what they thought was better I mean or what was bigger than Top Gunn I think this was one of those like
Starting point is 00:15:52 phenomenal movies that everyone just loves I don't remember seeing people going oh man I got Cobra makes me want to join the police force or or Howard the Duck makes me want to be a scientist or shit like I didn't see no commercials like that Everybody was all over top guns nuts. And I was like, all right, man.
Starting point is 00:16:15 I just didn't see what everyone was talking about. And I was just like, so. And that was 1986, but as a year, what are we coming on 30 years or over 30 years? I don't know. You guys do the math. But it's still as the movie got older and older and older. I mean, up to now, everyone loves it. I mean, I've come across so many people that love this film.
Starting point is 00:16:42 And, oh, man, I got every, I got the laser disc and all this. And I'm like, okay, whatever. I don't own it on VHS. I have, I have it on Blu-ray because a friend of mine bought it for me. You got that steel book. Yeah, she heard me bitch. We all know you do. Yeah, I got, I got the steel, but I think I got the second goal.
Starting point is 00:17:05 I don't got that 4K one. I think she heard me bitching and complaining about this movie. So she, hey man, I got him. I bought you something. I was all right on. And I was ready to throw it. But I'm like, all right. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:17:21 I did watch it. It's here in my collection. It's unwrapped. And I watched it once. And I watched, oh, it's on Netflix, I think. That's where I watched it this time. But yeah. When was the first time you see?
Starting point is 00:17:36 this I seen this when I was a kid close to when it came out and you could say that it took my breath away. Oh, fuck. I mean, I was too young to even really get into all the fucking love shit. But there was there was there was nez there was plenty of action. Tom Cruise was getting it in. We got that iconic volleyball scene. There's plenty of action in this movie. Goose
Starting point is 00:18:07 with only one with his shirt on Well You know why Well he could have buffed up man I mean Well he wasn't he wasn't comparing to What's what's the ice man's A co-product slider slider?
Starting point is 00:18:22 Yeah he does that little pose He would cut the most out of them I hate that fool Wiley I don't like him I mean not the actor as a per But He was the asshole in that movie with Steve Martin and
Starting point is 00:18:38 Darry Han Roxanne. He was the dumb guy. Yeah. He was a dumb guy. He always wears like a dumb guy. I've seen another, I can't think of what it was.
Starting point is 00:18:49 He plays a dumb guy. He's in an episode of Tales from the Crip with William, William Hickey, the old guy who wanted his body. And this slider was like a
Starting point is 00:19:05 buff dumb, broke guy. So he was okay with like trading it. He was the one that got beat up by Arnold and a Terminator. He was that guy Matt. Linda Hamilton. Yeah, Linda Hamilton's.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Oh, he got beat up in his underwear. Yeah, him. Don't make me bust you up, man. He got handled. But yeah, he was just the asshole and Roxanne and I didn't like him. But. I think I think this hits so big back then because I think it was a combination of who was in it and they kind of they kind of got you in thinking it was an action movie but it was really a romantic drama and I think they I think for for most people I think they gave them enough of a mix to satisfy them not not for you
Starting point is 00:20:04 you. Not enough for me because I do enjoy the film. I don't hold it up there with everybody else. It's like, if you don't like it, you don't like it. Yeah, I mean, I was into it when I was a kid. I even had that stupid-ass fucking video game on Nintendo that you can fucking never land the plane.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Yeah, I was going to say you could never land. You can never land a plane. You can barely refill in Sky. just fucking all NES games were hard as shit the only thing well the soundtrack I love the soundtrack I thought that was cool I loved all the music canny log in Berlin and everyone else that was on it
Starting point is 00:20:45 their version of Great Balls of Fire Did you ever go to Great America or I think it was called Paramounts Great America At the time I don't know I think I think it's still called Great American now. I don't know if that rides there anymore, but they had a top gun ride.
Starting point is 00:21:09 It was a roller coaster, but instead of sitting in a regular little roller coaster, your feet were dangling. It was a good, like, presentation, but by the time you got to the front of the line, you hated Danger Zone, because they played that song on a loop over. And we were standing in that line.
Starting point is 00:21:28 It was like, we rode the ride when it was, like, brand new. And we were like, oh, at this point, it's going to take 10 hours. So we were like, we wanted to ride it because it looked awesome. And the commercials for it, oh, man, and all these people, same thing. I mean, the ride was awesome. They was overhyped, but it was still an awesome ride because they were like, yeah, they got some test pilots, Navy test pilots to ride it.
Starting point is 00:21:52 And they're saying it's the closest thing than being in a F-14. I was like, oh, I mean, pay me a. enough and I'll tell you it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Yeah. Like a Paramount came to me. Hey, Nas, we're going to give you like $10 million to just fucking suck Tom Cruise's nuts and then just love this movie to death. I'm like, all right, everyone's got their price.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Sure. I ain't going to suck his nuts, but I love this movie to the end. But I was like, anyway, the ride, the top gun ride was awesome. I mean, again, like the presentation, when you're going. in you'll go into the little turn style walk thing. It looks like a big, huge aircraft carrier. It's like basically just would. It looks like an aircraft.
Starting point is 00:22:42 But when you go through that and you're walking through everything, it looks like you're inside of an aircraft carrier. I don't know if you guys have ever been inside one. I have. But I think it was the Midway where I went in. There was another one in Almeda. I can't remember the name of it. But anyway, it looks like you're walking through.
Starting point is 00:23:01 an aircraft carrier. I mean, only as much as you can, because you got to have room and everything. But then you finally get to the ride, you get in. I know I have my, my wife and I wrote it. That was the last time I wrote it. My oldest two kids, they were just little, but we
Starting point is 00:23:17 wrote it and we got our picture on it and everything. She's got it somewhere and all shit. But the ride was awesome. As far as it being, like riding in the F-14, I don't know. I've never been in one of those things. maybe in my younger years. I don't think I can handle it now.
Starting point is 00:23:33 Plus, I probably don't even fit. But the ride was awesome. But yeah, the commercial was overselling it, but it was still a fun ride. Awesome, goes upside down and all that shit. It was awesome.
Starting point is 00:23:47 But, yeah, one thing I will say, I think, like Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer, I think they really sold their characters. Because, I believed Tom Cruise, you know, the names fit them good.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Maverick, you know, that's what he was. You know, he didn't play by the rules. You know, he kind of did his own thing. He was a wild card. And then Val Kilmer is ice man. I mean, he was just cool as shit. And they try to make him be the bad guy, but you kind of understand what he's saying because he's like going up to Maverick.
Starting point is 00:24:23 He's, I don't fucking watch you fly next to me. You get us there. You get everybody killed. It's supposed to be my wingman. This was Val Kilmer's third movie because he had done top secret, did some after school special. He did real genius. That was awesome. We got to do real genius.
Starting point is 00:24:41 Yeah. And then he did Top Gun and then everything else. Real genius. He had Napoleon Dynamized uncle living in his closet. Uncle Rico. Yeah. I mean, yeah, the Val Kilmer, if you guys saw that, that documentary Val, oh, can't watch it. It's, it's, it was rough, but I mean, it's not his fault.
Starting point is 00:25:14 I mean, it's just, it's life and it happens to some people. I've seen that he's, he's gotten real spiritual lately. And he said it's really, like, helped in him dealing with his cancer and everything. I was listening to his one podcast man They were clowning him I mean I've never met the man But I've always loved Maybe not everything he's been in
Starting point is 00:25:36 But there's been a lot of films in it But they were saying after Thunderheart He did that movie We covered it We guys didn't listen to that one yet But they said he was He turned Indian He turned native
Starting point is 00:25:51 After Thunderheart I don't again I don't know the gentleman, but he has done a lot of good films since that. There was one movie. It was when it was later films. I can't remember where it was. There was one where he just didn't talk. Huh.
Starting point is 00:26:15 I guess I could see the poster. He's just standing there, like in a trench coat or something. I don't. Oh, the fuck is. not the landlord or the something. It was like a horror thriller.
Starting point is 00:26:33 I don't know. I mean, I just remember seeing the... I think I know what you're talking about. The poster for it. And... Oh, he was a blood man. And James Salamabob
Starting point is 00:26:46 reboot. He didn't say anything in that, but he was in that. But he was a man Mardigan and Willow. That was a long time ago. Yeah, he was, uh, looking at his, uh, RMDV, uh, played John Holmes in Wonderland. That was a good movie. He was Elvis or the mentor in, uh, true romance.
Starting point is 00:27:11 I remember that. I remember when true romance, true romance came out. Everyone was like, they, when there was shown all this cast that's in it and Val Kilmer. They show him clearly in the trailer, but in the movies. Yeah, you're in the movie. Where the hell is he? Yeah, you know his voice, so that that's about it. Did you see the Red Planet when he went to Mars?
Starting point is 00:27:34 I've seen part of it. I couldn't get into it. My wife loves that movie. She likes like Mission to Mars type movies for some reason. I didn't like that one, but Red Planet was pretty good. I have that one somewhere. He was good in the Kiss Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. I thought he was funny in that one.
Starting point is 00:27:51 Yeah. Oh, fuck. You can't forget Doc Holiday, Tombstone. Oh. Iconic. Or the island of Dr. Monroe, the remake. Iconic for a different reason. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:28:09 Yeah, top gun. Yeah, you take the reins on this one. I mean, there's just really nothing to the plot. I mean, we start out, we get introduced to Maverick and Goose. and they're out on, I guess, a mission, and his wingman is Cougar and, uh, is it Merlin, Tim Robbins? Yeah. And, uh, they're, they're about to, they're encountering some, uh, bogeys.
Starting point is 00:28:40 I think that's what they call them. I don't know, uh, Naval Air Force talk. Is this, the 80s, uh, Russian, the Russians were there. Is that what they're supposed to be? Because I noticed they never said. I thought that. were Russian jets. Yeah, I just noticed on the rewatch,
Starting point is 00:28:58 they never said who or where they were from. They just kept calling them hostiles or bogeys and Oh, I thought there were Russian jets. I mean, I always thought they were Russian, but I just noticed they clearly never say, like, I don't
Starting point is 00:29:14 know if that was just a choice. They didn't want to piss anybody off or well, in the 80s, I mean, the Russians were always the bad guys and everything. But, yeah we we we get introduced to them they're on a mission uh they got a couple they're pulling up on a couple bogies uh cougars starts to i guess freeze up at the wrong time because he's a mavericks wingman and then he's about to crash the plane and then uh was a maverick goes back for him
Starting point is 00:29:46 and helps him land the plane or he barely lands the plane on the ship well they were just kind of doing some flying around then then the the migs came out of nowhere and then they were um they were chasing cougar and when he he got the missile the the the the may got the missile lock on him he was just like flipping out because he had his he was looking at the picture no that was later when he was trying to fly it in but he he just like freaked out but before before a maverick and goose took off they were out there flying with him but then they were running low on fuel so they were heading back to the aircraft carrier. And this is something I didn't understand watching, doing this rewatch.
Starting point is 00:30:27 He was Maverick's wingman. But when they land and they're discussing who goes the top gun, they were saying Cougar was number one and Maverick was number two. I didn't understand that that was the case. Why was he Maverick's wingman? I don't know. I didn't stand around this movie. Wouldn't happen in Iron Eagle.
Starting point is 00:30:50 No, he didn't need a wingman. He did it on his own, Doug Masters. He'll get to that one later. Why didn't he go that that was, this is what I didn't get. I mean, because, hey man, we're running out of gas. We can go out of here. And if he's whoever is the wingman, you know, all right, man, well, I'll see you guys later. I'm just going to stay out here and fly around.
Starting point is 00:31:16 And then the Migs came out of nowhere. I was like, oh, already. Where are they supposed to be? I don't know. These Migs kept flying in that area like whenever they felt like it. There was a guy that I watched on YouTube. His name is Ward Carroll. 21 cringeworthy errors in the movie Top Gun.
Starting point is 00:31:45 This guy broke him down. Yeah, he would go, okay, 10 minutes into the film. this happened and stuff like that. And yeah, he was saying because when Cougar was the mig was on Cougar was was oh fuck man and didn't know what to do. We were just trying to get the hell out of there. And when Goose and Mav were flying in
Starting point is 00:32:08 and even the tower was like, all right, you guys are low on fuel. Get back here. So they were about to land, but then they're like, hey, where's Cougar? And then they fucking no, no, no. it was before all that. They were still together when they were dealing with the Migs.
Starting point is 00:32:24 It was that one was on Cougar and had the missile lock. That's when GOO or Maverick did that thing when they were flying over him and gave him the bird. Oh, the supposed aerial maneuver that was impossible to do what they say later on. Yeah. I mean, even this guy just mentioned on YouTube, he said, there's no way. he goes he goes you look he was showing a picture he goes look how close they are and he goes the tails would have been clipping each other but hey it's a movie and then uh then they because that when they saw that when that happened that's when they took off and that's when uh mavin those guys
Starting point is 00:33:08 were running out of gas so they were hurrying up and going back there so when they were coming in they thought cougar was like right behind him well he was behind them but he was like flipping out because his, his, um, I don't know, what, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:33:23 co-pilots or what are they? Rios. Yeah, they did it. Radar intercept officer. Yeah, the guy that was sitting behind him. Um,
Starting point is 00:33:34 he was like, come on. Uh, there's something wrong. Come on, dude, all right. And then that's when,
Starting point is 00:33:38 uh, maver, Hey, man, there's something wrong with Cougar. And then they were like, land that jet. And then he,
Starting point is 00:33:43 he took off and went back. And that's when he kind of was guiding, guiding him in. Come on, man. Just listen to me. We're all right. We're all right. And then this is when Cougar was like just flipping out. He had his picture of his wife and his like newborn kid. They had never seen yet. And the guy that did the 21 cringeworthy things,
Starting point is 00:34:05 he said where that picture was was right over something that you need to see all the time. He was like, there's no way you would cover that. you needed to fly or whatever. I don't know. I didn't make this movie. Oh, going to go ahead.
Starting point is 00:34:23 I was just going to say, what do you do in that situation if you're the co-pilot and the pilot's flipping out and he can't land the plane? You're SOL because you can't control nothing. Do you eject? Do you? I guess you would. I assume if it comes down to it.
Starting point is 00:34:42 I don't know. I assume because you can't control anything. much less see. You don't have, from what I understand what this one dude was saying, there's not a lot of control panels for you to see. I assume you just see maybe what you see. And then you see the back of this guy's head in the back of his seat. But I don't know.
Starting point is 00:35:03 But I assume you can eject either way. Because later when, because when that they do that flat spin, Maverick couldn't reach the ejection thing. and Goose reached up there and pulled him down. So yeah, they were coming in and he just kind of guided him in and then he landed. So Cougar landed first.
Starting point is 00:35:28 And this is where they had. They said there was an issue. Because when you land and that cable catches you, other than they were saying the way he was coming in, it would have been, I don't know, not impossible, but they should have been coming in that way. But then again, he was scared.
Starting point is 00:35:44 But anyway, so once they said he landed, You're supposed to, after they unhook you, you're supposed to taxi out of the way because you got Maverick coming in right behind you. They said it's close to however the scene looked. They said as close as he was when that plane landed. He should immediately just like taxi it out of the way because here come Maverick. Plus they're low on fuel. He goes, that thing just stopped and shut its engines off because you see both of the motors go up.
Starting point is 00:36:10 So you're trying to say that. He said he would have to be in. No, he said that this guy. this guy was watching a video. I assume he's a pilot. He goes, yeah, that plane, that jet, when it came in and crashed it to him. But, hey, again, I didn't make this movie. Watch that video, everyone.
Starting point is 00:36:27 They run through all the shit that was wrong with this movie. That made me appreciate why I hate this film. But then again, there's a lot of movies that I love that everybody hates. So, I mean, I get it. After this, after the whole situation. they have a meeting with Cougar. He basically says he can't handle it no more. He's got a wife and kid.
Starting point is 00:36:52 He turns in his whatever he turns in, quits. And wings. His wings. And that makes the guy that he was the wing man for makes him the number one guy, which I don't understand. That was effed up, man. No love for Merlin.
Starting point is 00:37:15 Sorry, man. you can come back later. Yeah, Merlin, you just got to stay here. Just hope you make it next time. Yeah, because Stinger was the one that was Reaming the Mountain. Principal Strickland from Back to the Future. He was a little, she was chewing about. Eat, lad, Slagher, like to be in part two.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Eat, lad, Slackers. We don't have to tackle those movies at some point. So Goose, Maverick, they get sent to Top Gun. And I think, what is they? Do they meet Viper and jester right away, or do they go to the club, go to the bar? No, they're at the bar and then they're. One of your favorite scene, I'm assuming, just singing the song, trying to try to pull him, pull him, what was their name?
Starting point is 00:38:16 name Charlotte Blackwood, a call sign. Charlie, why does she get a call sign? I don't know. I assume she was a pilot at some point. They said she was a civilian contractor. I don't know. Well, like she's got to know something about aviation if you're going to. That's,
Starting point is 00:38:36 that's one of my problems is in the synopsis it says that he learns things from her that that he didn't know. what the fuck did she teach him? I mean, other than they was banging each other and arguing What? What? I don't know. Maybe
Starting point is 00:38:56 she did stuff. He was much older than him. So maybe she Because they say it because they're like young boys or whatever else. She might have taught him some stuff in the bedroom, but I don't know about in the plane, in the jet. Well, she
Starting point is 00:39:14 the top gun is the best of the best, so I assume she's the best of the best who go there to teach them. What was she, an astrophysicist? Is that what they said she was? Yeah, so your best of the best is not even in the military or a pilot. Maybe she was in retired, but then maybe, I don't know. I can't.
Starting point is 00:39:39 See, it would have made sense if there was a scene where she jumped into jet and was like, look maverick this is this is how you fucking do it right here and there would have been and then maverick would have been like that's fucking hot right there and then they bang well i don't know my history of military was there female fighter pilots uh at this time according to this movie now uh yeah because in the new one there is but um It's different times. What was that movie supposed to come out?
Starting point is 00:40:18 What, in 2020? Then the world fell apart. Astrophysics, is that what this is? Is that what this is? Is a science that employs the methods of principles of physics and chemistry and the study of astronomical objects and phenomena? As one of the founders of discipline said, astrophysics seeks a certain nature and the heavenly bodily, heavenly. bodies rather than the positions or I don't know what I didn't get none of that yeah yeah that would probably be a better movie but I don't know this might be this might be another copycat where I say I like the movie but I'm gonna I'm gonna bash
Starting point is 00:41:03 it like here now I'm bashing this movie they hate this movie and she she's not basically she doesn't she doesn't date pilots He doesn't know who she is until the next day, where that's when she gets introduced by a jester, Michael Ironside's character, as the, like I said, a civilian contractor, the expert, and her call signs Charlie for some reason. And this is when they bring up the maneuver that is apparently not real, but in the movie they make it real. and they they she does not know that the guy that did it is sitting right there yeah and i don't know uh how good 80s polaroid cameras are but because when they were upside down to goose and do they still make polaroids oh yeah my my daughter's got one are they still giant like they were in 86 no they're more compact now okay well yeah i mean that those
Starting point is 00:42:14 Those things are huge. That's like a brick. And I don't know. And again, I am like smoking. I did like this part because when, when Maverick was explaining it to her, I just loved the ice, but I was like, oh, bullshit.
Starting point is 00:42:32 Ice man, Val, love you. Anyway, another thing, goose. They say everybody like goose. Did they really like goose? Because there's, there's points in a. movie where you can hear somebody in the background.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Goose, you pussy. I don't know. I think it was just the association of Maverick. Okay. Because Maverick was just like, he was the best, he was going to be the best. Because when they had that first, I don't know, meeting before Charlie showed up when they were talking and then someone said like, yeah, you guys. just you guys better be the best.
Starting point is 00:43:16 I don't know, whatever the hell that there was line, and Maverick was the only one that, yes, sir, or something like to wear, you guys probably know I'm talking about. Yeah, everyone else was quiet,
Starting point is 00:43:27 but he was like, he was like high on himself. Like, yeah, I know I'm going to be the best. And Biper's like, oh, what does he say?
Starting point is 00:43:35 You're, uh, fuck, I can't take it a word. Confident. Yeah. He's like, I like,
Starting point is 00:43:43 that. I like that. And Maverick's like, yeah, I know. You see, I see. The background just kind of like, fuck this guy. I mean, because after, after the meeting with her and then that's when they did their first, um, uh, test or whatever, training, uh, when they went up to, like the rules of engagement or whatever. And so they went up there in the air. Who was, um, was Maverick Goose and, Iceman Hollywood and Wolfman I think
Starting point is 00:44:19 Yeah because Iceman went up later And then they went up And then Yeah We didn't see Iceman and Slider We just heard that they That they did good Yeah because the Jester went up there
Starting point is 00:44:36 And they were chasing him But then Um He broke the what do they call it? Oh, he was going after Viper. Right? Not this time.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Oh, no, okay. Well, that was the second time. So, he's going after Jester and he's getting, Justin's getting away from him. They say, what he said? He broke the hard line, broke the hard. The hard deck.
Starting point is 00:45:03 The hard deck. Yeah, Jester, I get, yeah, I think it was like 5,000 feet was the, the, the hard deck. And hard deck is basically the ground, but I guess when you're training, you can, that 5,000 feet is basically,
Starting point is 00:45:18 if you go past that, you're hitting the ground. So that's what I got from all that. But when they were chasing Jester, they got him, but he went below the hard deck. Because then later, when they were yelling,
Starting point is 00:45:37 when he was yelling at him, other than Jester told him, you never leave your wingman. Because that one guy, whoever did Hollywood or those guys he was like, don't leave me, man, don't leave me and he went, he took off and went after Jess or was that in the next one
Starting point is 00:45:50 when they went after Viper? I think he did it in both. But whatever he did when he went below the hard deck when they were talking to him afterwards, he was telling and was like, look, I only went I saw no danger.
Starting point is 00:46:05 I was only below the hard deck for like a few seconds and then he took the shot. But I mean, in reality, from what I understand, don't, don't quote me on this. Again, the hard deck is supposed to be the simulated ground. And if he went below that, basically, he hit the ground. And if you go, if you hit the hard deck, if you're below the hard deck for a few seconds, you're dead. But I don't know.
Starting point is 00:46:29 Again, I didn't write this movie. So he, he gets him even though everybody's saying it doesn't count because he broke, he broke the rules. But, uh, jester still acknowledges him. He was like, I've never seen flying like that in my life. Yeah, because that's when he was sitting there with Viper. And then Viper was like, if we had to go into battle tomorrow, would you want him with you? I just don't know. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:03 But yeah, because they did it, but I guess it just didn't count. But Iceman ended up getting him. No problem. Because when they're having their damn fucking meeting in their towels. Yeah, when they're all sitting there. This is their fucking one shower. It's like they're waiting on one shower or something. Yeah, that's what I was saying.
Starting point is 00:47:24 What kind of school is this with one shower? Because one guy goes, look, man, 30 seconds. If you don't come out, I'm coming in there. I like the one guy when Iceman and Maverick start arguing and the shower opens up. He like, he like sneaks in there real quick. Well, I guess you got to. Everybody's arguing. Because, I mean,
Starting point is 00:47:43 This is when Iceman told him. He was like, look, man, he goes, he was yelling and he was like, you're dangerous. He goes, you're not following the rules and you're going to get everyone killed. So this is when he does the teeth thing? Yeah. Because the talk was our beverage guy, I am dangerous. And then he goes out.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Oh, wow, gosh, they hurt my teeth. My old 50-year-old teeth. Speaking of that, I need to go to Dennis. everything's getting bad in there. But anyway, uh, what happened after, after this?
Starting point is 00:48:22 Um, uh, more like he's after fucking Charlie. And then more training. Yeah, says right here in class, Charlie also objects to maverick's aggressive tactics, but privately admits to him that she admires his flying and is omitted it to,
Starting point is 00:48:40 to, in her, omitted it from her reports to hide her feelings for him. Yeah, this is one thing I didn't like about his character because she can't be biased towards you because you guys have a thing. You know, she has to do her job and then she's doing her job and you want to stomp away like a little kid. I didn't fucking like that. Yeah, because she was obviously falling for him. I don't know when the last time she had some, but here's some young hot shot pilot.
Starting point is 00:49:11 Because she did straight up, I don't date. the pilots here or anything, but she didn't meet Maverick. So, do you make up your own name, or do that someone have to give it to you? I don't know exactly, but I feel like it should be given to you based on, like I said, Iceman's, like, kind of cool and collected, and Maverick's kind of a rule breaker. I don't know what Goose means or slider, but. I mean, that's how it is.
Starting point is 00:49:46 I mean, everywhere I've been, I mean, my friends and everything, I mean, even at work, I mean, we, we, not all of us have nicknames, but, um, we got that rule. Look, don't come in with a nickname. We have to give it to you. Yeah. Even if you, even if you don't like it. Yeah, we're going to call you that. Nicknames are giving an earn not just come in there.
Starting point is 00:50:08 Like, I want to be called, I want to be called this. It's like, I don't, it doesn't work that way. because my friend Eric he came in and next thing you know we were calling him easy because of Easy E, but we just come Now that's for the past Shit, however long he's been in Reno
Starting point is 00:50:27 We just call him easy I've never ever called him Eric So I mean, but that's just He doesn't care He just goes right along with it He answers easy What's up So
Starting point is 00:50:39 But I mean, yeah You You, you I don't know Maybe it's different in the Navy if you're a pilot there, but I don't know. I know nothing of it. My name is my stage name. But anyway, yeah, because this is when the love stuff started happening.
Starting point is 00:50:58 We obviously see, because there was many encounters with them too. We see them. Oh, we get the volleyball scene. She was throwing it at him. We get the volleyball scene because it leads into him leaving goose. Because they got the score tied up and he just leaves Goose stranded because Goose wants to take them. And, you know, like, as you mentioned, Goose is the only one who's got his shirt on. And, but he leaves and this is where we get more love stuff because he's late for his date with Charlie.
Starting point is 00:51:32 And immediately when he gets there, he's, he's got something else on the mind because he was like, do you mind if I take a shower? Yeah. I mean, all right. She obviously didn't care. She probably wouldn't have cared. He was all sweaty. Well, he was all sweaty. And that was another thing.
Starting point is 00:51:55 This is where in San Diego area, where the actual school is. I can understand when they were on the aircraft carrier, wherever they were, it was hot and humid. Because even on the inside, there was fans blowing everywhere. And everybody was all swaying. So my buddy was on an aircraft carrier. and wherever they were, he goes, man, it was hot. I said, I believe it. And another friend of mine, he was saying, yeah, the thing that saved them was
Starting point is 00:52:21 Gold Bond. He said they just powder it all over themselves and powder the boys to stay cool. But yeah, shout out to all my buddies that were in the military and everyone else. Where if you're active or retired or whatever, if you guys are listening to this. Cornstar works too. I don't know nothing about that. Just just saying. Corn Star Twers.
Starting point is 00:52:46 It's first time I've heard that. Yeah, so yeah, that that whole bucket in there. Don't get me wrong. I love the take me away song, Berlin. I think they won Academy Award for,
Starting point is 00:52:59 I think I was nominated for Academy Award. Yeah, I think it said, you've seen it. Berlin, Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and Academy Award for Best original song. So yeah, I've got two awards.
Starting point is 00:53:20 Yep. So yeah, then there you, that that starts with a little romance thing. And they were, again, I love that song, but they were, I didn't realize how much they were. They weren't playing the actual, they were just like the music every time they were together. Because I was like, even when they were in the elevator talking. It's like three songs they played throughout the movie. Yeah, I mean, they play, if you go down the soundtrack, they play the songs, but maybe like a second of it.
Starting point is 00:53:52 Yeah, you get, take my breath away, you get danger zone. And then every time something sad happens, you get that sad music. Yeah, and then the, whatever that song, Kenny Loggins song was playing. I think it was Kenny Logan when they were playing volleyball. But anyway, yeah, after all that bullshit, this is when they do the next training. And this is when Viper comes into play. And I think it was Hollywood because it says during another training Hop, Maverick abandons his wingman Hollywood to chase Viper.
Starting point is 00:54:32 Yeah, that's right, because they're up there flying around. And then all of a sudden, Viper starts saying whatever he's saying to him. And everyone's like, holy shit, Viper's up here. And everyone's all scared because he's the best of the best. of the best and she was the fucking Goose's not Goose Maverie's like fuck that I mean
Starting point is 00:54:55 I want Viper but even because even Goose was like don't leave him man He goes like come on man what are you doing don't leave him And Hollywood also said don't leave me don't leave me And then he goes hey man you're all right And then he kind of spins off to the side to go chase Viper Um
Starting point is 00:55:13 Again I mean when it's act when we see the actual jets and everything flying around, that's all awesome. I love it. I mean, that was real. But when you see them in there, it's not them in the in,
Starting point is 00:55:24 in the plane's flying around. So that's not Tom scared. No. And that's another thing. He's, he can't, he can't catch Bifer, but he's fucking amazed on how good he is.
Starting point is 00:55:37 I mean, yeah, he's the first guy to win top gun. Because, yeah, they're chasing him. And Vibers. flying all over the
Starting point is 00:55:48 well I don't even know what kind of jet he was flying in but he was all over the place and then Jester comes up behind boom you're dead hot shot and get back to base or wherever and then Goose is like ah fuck and he goes ah we're regret to inform
Starting point is 00:56:03 you that your kids are dear your son is dead for being stupid or something like that and yeah that's when Vipa comes or Jester comes in and yell you yell down you never leave your wing man and all this shit but I don't know
Starting point is 00:56:19 exactly how long they were up there fighting or training but it seemed like they're up there for like a minute or two and then now you guys are dead and I go land because Viper did Viper get Iceman in them I think everyone I think he got them both because I think at this point they were tied
Starting point is 00:56:40 I think out of all the names Viper is the one that sounds badass I like ice man I think his Vipers just sound like he's fucking tough I mean ice man I know Val's been done a lot of movies but I mean when you
Starting point is 00:57:01 think of Val Kim you think Ice Man or you think of Doc Holiday Those are those are the first two ones That come into play But Goose is definitely the worst But that's all everyone calls him They call him Goose they don't call him
Starting point is 00:57:18 whatever his name was I think it was no was it Gilbert he name was Gilbert Gilbert I love that movie that was like good I think it is
Starting point is 00:57:33 make those movies today oh no you cannot yeah it's because it's Gilbert and Lewis yeah Lewis was Robert Carrity I'd actually met him Robert Carrotie
Starting point is 00:57:46 for at a new york comic con they were they did that tv show um king of the nerds yeah i seen the king it was him and uh booger uh they were there and uh one of the guys that was one of the contestants he was there but when robert caret he came up he walked up i was like hey man fuck i said you and your brothers were awesome and long riders and he like looked at me like hey man right on thanks because everyone was screaming ah revenge of the nerds lewis and all that and i just that's it I love the long writer. You guys haven't seen that. I think it's on Netflix.
Starting point is 00:58:20 Check it out if you guys haven't seen it. But yeah. So after all that, Maverick and Goose were just like, I mean, Goose was like, fuck. But Maverick's like, shit, man. I'm smarter than that. Why did I do that?
Starting point is 00:58:36 I mean, he did it because he wanted to prove himself to be, if I can get the best, I'll be the best. Yeah, he's totally disregarding that. that he has a teammate, a co-pilot and Goose keeps telling him, man, I can't, I can't fuck this up. I got a wife and kid. Yeah, because, I mean, Goose was mad,
Starting point is 00:58:57 but he, like, said nice, like you said, he said it nice to him. Like, hey, man, this, this is my bread and butter. Don't, don't fuck me, basically is what he told him. But he was like, all right, man. I think this is when, after this is when, this is when Meg Ryan shows up, yeah loud ass
Starting point is 00:59:18 Meg Ryan take me to bed or lose me forever whatever the hell she said but this is when Meg Ryan was hot
Starting point is 00:59:28 Meg Ryan I mean again I've said this before your body your choice do what you want to it I didn't I think I didn't like
Starting point is 00:59:38 the shit she pumped in her lips I think she's in the new one she has to be I think she cameos her and what's her name who's fucking
Starting point is 00:59:53 the hell of old now uh Kelly McGillis yeah she's old now the last thing I saw her in was walking dead she was in steakland that was the last thing I seen her in
Starting point is 01:00:09 she was that old nun oh that's right she was in that huh I just remember I'm pretty sure she was in walking dead because I remember she was one of those the ladies that was at that little community thing
Starting point is 01:00:26 the little beach beach tribe yeah that was her I think yeah okay yeah I think that's what last thing I saw her in she was in oh she was in C nation is that what I'm getting it confused with you really like that show don't you I love Z Nation
Starting point is 01:00:48 I thought it was hell of good I think that's what I'm getting confused with I don't see Walking Dead I think Z Nation is what She was in Yeah same thing
Starting point is 01:01:00 Zombie show But Yeah this is when Yeah goose His wife shows up And their son Before he was rooster What was his name
Starting point is 01:01:14 Bradley I think that's his name what's his name plays him um that kid's name uh oh my house was that in that yeah he was in that drum movie that movie was elegant we guys haven't seen that whiplash check that movie out so when when did at what point in his life did his hair color change i don't know i i've had some friends that were blonde when we were kids and as we got older their hair got darker so not as dark as my tellers but all right so yeah they meet them they had their
Starting point is 01:01:59 party in and singing great balls of fire and oh they're also partying with um charlie's there too and then because Meg Ryan and her are talking uh on all that um but it seemed like they were trying to keep their uh Charlie and Maverick trying to keep their relationship quiet but then they were just
Starting point is 01:02:22 out and about and making out on on Mavericks Ninja Yeah Is that same ninja in this new one? I think so Yeah I don't even know they're going to make motorcycles It's got to be against regulation for them to be together
Starting point is 01:02:41 But like you said they're just on his bike At restaurants in nightclubs and Riding down the other runways and making I don't know she's chasing him down in her car running red lights
Starting point is 01:03:00 I'm like you guys are not like being real quiet about this yeah no I think that was after after everything because yeah because it was after the Meg Ryan scene is when they do the next
Starting point is 01:03:14 um uh training thing uh and they're out there um and this is when goose dies. When they're chasing,
Starting point is 01:03:26 who are they chasing? I can't remember who they were chasing. They were chasing someone. I think it was, I think it was another training thing with Piper and Jester. And this is when I think, I think they get caught in somebody's jet stream.
Starting point is 01:03:41 Yeah, this is a Maverick and Iceman, now direct competitors for the Top Gun Trophy, K, chase an A4 in a later training arrangement. Since part of their scoring in every fight, of course, is the time taken for every dog fight to include
Starting point is 01:03:58 and after noticing Iceman is pulling time during his chase after the A4 so that his total score of course will remain. That's, I'm just da-da-da. They are both chasing it so he can shoot it down himself. Oh, yeah, this is when Ice was in front of Maverick. And then he was trying to get a ice man was trying to get a shot at him. Yeah. They kept telling him to get out the way.
Starting point is 01:04:29 If you don't know, how they get out the way. Yeah. And Iceman kept going, just a couple more seconds. I got it. I got it. And Maverick, he was like, dude, if you don't do it, I'm going to do it. So Ice is like, and that Maverick's like pretty much right, right on his ass. And he's like, fuck.
Starting point is 01:04:43 He's like, I can't do it. Fuck it. So he kind of gets out of the way. But I guess the jet wash from. Isis jet just I mean I can't I don't understand aeronautics or anything but it I guess it just It's kind of like a wave really like if you're the you another wave hit you out in the water You're gonna go crazy so Charlie can't you
Starting point is 01:05:05 Yeah so they hit that and that's when they had a flame out in both engines and that's when they started doing A flat spin because I just like oh man he's in a flat spain he's going out to sea all right right here the video that guy that I watched, he said, he goes, when you do a flat spin, you're not going to be going. It's like they say, you're not going to be going out in the sea. Once you hit that flat spin,
Starting point is 01:05:31 he said, you're going straight down. So again, a movie. So yeah, while they're spinning, awesome model that we see spinning on the screen, Maverick is like, I guess the,
Starting point is 01:05:46 the G forces of them spinning. He can't reach and grab the little ejection things. Why are they? Again, I don't know jets or anything. Why are they way up there? I thought there was something below them. What you know?
Starting point is 01:06:03 I guess it was an older movie. I can't remember. I remember them grabbing something. Oh, Die Hard 2. He got it. I don't know if they have ejector seats in those big planes, but Hollywood, everyone. Because he got it.
Starting point is 01:06:19 He grabbed it. He grabbed something and pulled those levers up and then he goes shooting up. I don't care what anyone says. If they don't have ejector seats, that was my favorite scene in Direc 2. Oh, man. Awesome. We did that one. Yeah, we did.
Starting point is 01:06:33 But anyway. So when, because Mavericks, like, I can't reach it. I can't reach it. Goose reaches up there, pulls it down. But right when he pulls it down, Mavericks, like, watch out for the canopy. But when the canopy is the window, the glass. When that goes up, I assume since it was going up and they were spinning,
Starting point is 01:06:54 he went straight up and somewhere in that span, it just that was fucking you can clearly see it was a dummy, but man, he probably didn't even know anything after that. Boom, probably snapped his neck immediately. And then they just,
Starting point is 01:07:09 ah, they both end up going to shoot now. But goose hit the canopy and then you just see him, his body is just dangling as he falls. into the water. It kind of looked like his shoot shouldn't have opened by the way he hit it.
Starting point is 01:07:26 I think it automatically does it anyway. I don't know. The way he was laying down because it kind of flipped when he hit it. I kind of felt like if it would open it would open it in the canopy and got caught up in it.
Starting point is 01:07:44 I don't know. I don't know how these were. I just assumed that once you, when you reject it did the my knowledge is movies and TV everyone um it shoots up and then it doesn't open until I assume it thinks you're clear I again I don't know but yeah they go this part was sad I mean it was sad the first time I saw it and sad of every other time I've watched it even this last time I admitted I teared up because it was sad because when he's uh you see his body just go into the water and then Mavs like,
Starting point is 01:08:20 oh no, no, and he's holding him up. I was like, oh. And then when you see when the, the, um, I guess so we're a coast guard, when they're out there and when they're pulling his body out because that one guy's, you got to let him go, sir, let him go. And Maverick is just holding on to him. I was like, oh.
Starting point is 01:08:40 And then when they're hauling him out of the water, he is just his body's just dangling. And then that's it. But then after that, he's in a an inquiry and they're talking to him but they they ruled it that
Starting point is 01:08:56 it was an accident it wasn't um maverick's fault I mean but even still man I mean your friend dies because of you were there and you're obviously gonna think it's my fault
Starting point is 01:09:12 because I'm sure that that's how he felt and he was sad but when he that part was sad when he was talking to Meg Ryan and then she was she was just telling him he loved you and he didn't want to fly out with anyone else and oh that part was rough so didn't did they show his funeral I don't remember they didn't have time okay but yeah he got to keep the volleyball scene
Starting point is 01:09:39 but they they yeah they ruled it it wasn't it wasn't his fault because during that you see Viper and Jester in the back. Viper kind of leans over to Jester and get him back in the air as soon as possible. So, Viper just did it to like, hey, you,
Starting point is 01:10:01 he knows because later, Maverick is still just like, I can't do this because he had done, they went up and they were doing another training thing. And he had, what's his name with him? The black gentleman. The only black guy.
Starting point is 01:10:21 Sundown. Yeah. I remember him from, was a karate kid too when they were, oh, he was the, the little tech dude,
Starting point is 01:10:32 Theo and diehardt. Was he a karate kid too? Was he, was he the guy in the bar with the ice cream? Yeah, he was, yeah. Oh shit.
Starting point is 01:10:42 I think that was him. I'm trying to look. yeah it was him he says GI number one he cried too when Daniel was telling me he goes yeah he goes they're doing it wrong
Starting point is 01:10:54 it's not it's not where this here he goes the way you're standing he goes oh you think you can do better big mouth yeah that was him oh shit sundown
Starting point is 01:11:04 yeah was he though he was the only he was the only brother in this movie right I don't remember anyone else I'm racking my brain I don't know
Starting point is 01:11:14 I don't take anybody else. But yeah, he was, sundown was Mavericks Rio or whatever that's called. And what was he, what were they doing? Was he? I think it was another
Starting point is 01:11:33 training session, but he just, he couldn't. Was he supposed to shoot someone? I assume we're supposed to shoot someone down, but. Yeah. And he said he couldn't take the shot. because it was it was no good yeah and then they got him his sundown get into it and he basically gets in his face and tell sunda i'll take the shot when i'm good and ready to yeah so but yeah everyone's noticing that maverick is not the best and he he does kind of go and uh
Starting point is 01:12:07 talk to the higher ups he didn't quit or anything so we get the ice man uh sorry about goose but i'm still than you kind of a little talk he gives them yeah well he he I don't know I just think iceman didn't know what to say I mean he wanted to say something everybody he didn't yeah he knows the rivals but he yeah he just wanted to at least give him his his his whatever is two cents I still don't want you flying next to me but sorry about sorry about our news yeah sorry about your boy man I liked this next thing Because the next scene is when
Starting point is 01:12:49 Maverick goes to Viper's house Why does this family know Maverick? I was just about to see Just because he Viper flew with his dad like 20, 30 years ago like Maverick shows up at the door
Starting point is 01:13:07 like hey Maverick what are you doing here? Yeah I was like I was thinking that too I was like how fuck did Because it kind of seemed like when he meets Biper earlier in the movie like it's his first time but then when he goes to his house and they make it seem like they've known Maverick
Starting point is 01:13:22 yeah because he because Viper told Jester he was look man I I used to fly with his old man in the war and I think that was when he asked him he asked Jester he said hey if we went into battle tomorrow
Starting point is 01:13:37 would you would you take him with you and he's like I just don't know Jester wanted to say nope yeah So yeah, because then this is when, because at this point in Maverick's life, he doesn't know what happened to his dad. His dad died in the war. But then this is when Viper tells him, what was fuck was Vipers name? His real name.
Starting point is 01:14:02 Not Tom's Garrett, but Mike, Mike Viper Metcalf. He was a commanding officer and instructor at Top Gun. a veteran Vietnam War who served with Duke Mitchell and I was Maverick's dad
Starting point is 01:14:17 yeah this is when he tells him the story on what happened to his dad because he did tell me like do you
Starting point is 01:14:24 go ahead I was going to say sorry I didn't mean to cut you all let's get that movie let's get the top gun prequel let's get
Starting point is 01:14:32 I wouldn't mind that Dutch Mitchell and Vietnam War yeah just call it Dutch but we you say Dutch, you're thinking of Arnold. Yeah, I like that.
Starting point is 01:14:44 Put Arnold in it too. Yeah. I don't know. Well, maybe Arnold now, but I, yeah. Put his one son in there. Yeah, he looks just like the illegitimate son or the other one? The one with the maid. Yeah, he looks just like him. Yeah, he looks like a con.
Starting point is 01:15:06 Yeah, he's a young cone in. and he was pushing that log. You've seen him now? No. He's easy. Arnold got him into bodybuilding. Like he's ripped now. Well, it's good that,
Starting point is 01:15:23 well, I guess there's no way he, because you ain't my son. You can't deny that. I don't even think they'll give him a blood test. It'll be like, come on Arnold. Really?
Starting point is 01:15:35 Okay. I think Joseph is the one. Yeah, that's him. Joseph. like Barrera or something. Damn, they didn't even take his dad's name. Oh, yeah, man, he's ripped too. I think he's acting too now.
Starting point is 01:15:52 You can do, uh, he looks just like his dad. So I mean, he can do, uh, he can be in, uh, the next Conan with his dad. Yeah. And he's too old to do anything. Have the other brother in it as, as like the villain. because that guy plays a smarmy asshole. Pretty good.
Starting point is 01:16:15 Is it Patrick Schwarzenegger? Yeah. Have we done those movies yet? I don't know. We've done some. I don't know. They're on the list. The list is long.
Starting point is 01:16:26 Even the new one or the last one? I kind of like the new one. I didn't love it. But there was a lot of good stuff in there. Yeah. Shout out to Jason Moore. But anyway, yeah, this is when when, oh, when Viper told Maverick what happened to his dad and.
Starting point is 01:16:47 Classified information. Yeah. And let me just break the law and tell you what happened. So, but basically his dad was a war hero. He saved all these people during the war when they were out fighting before he, the way he goes, yeah, your dad saved all this people before he bought it. I was like, damn, all right. Yeah, yeah, the story he told me, and he goes, I want to see that. I want to see that movie.
Starting point is 01:17:20 Yeah, so he told him, he was like, look, he was like, yeah, man, you basically, this is what happened to your dad and you, you do what you're going to do. So Maver was kind of like, all right. So he ended up, uh, I assume, testing good he ended up Maverick ended up graduating from Top Gun but I guess his scores weren't the highest and Iceman graduated but
Starting point is 01:17:51 didn't show up to the graduation showed it to the after party though no he showed up well I thought he was at the group oh I thought he was because when Iceman was to him Iceman and um slider when they were standing there well Iceman was holding that plaque
Starting point is 01:18:08 The after party Oh that's what that was all right When he was Iceman was showing The award that he won without slider Yeah Yeah So yeah they But they said yeah you
Starting point is 01:18:24 You're not first but uh You came in second That's when Ricky Bobby's dad's He ain't first you last Um You need to probably have to do that with at some point I love that movie But yeah
Starting point is 01:18:40 So They're at the The ceremony And everyone's a hooting and hollering And then was it jester? No, it was during the graduation party, Vipa Jester call in the newly graduated Aviators with their orders to deploy.
Starting point is 01:18:56 All right This is what the guy said in that video. He goes, There's no way They were to came with orders to the graduation To give it to all everybody that was in there. He was saying the way the orders are given,
Starting point is 01:19:10 I guess it takes forever. It's an emergency. That's what I figured. That guy was saying it. They need the best. Well, they guys like just graduated, man. They're still in their whites.
Starting point is 01:19:27 That's why he told him. That's why he stopped him before they got a little out of hand with the party. And he was like, hey, you guys got a mission. Put the drinks down. What I say? Okay. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:19:40 the orders to deploy. Iceman, Hollywood, and Maverick are ordered to, okay, ordered to immediately return to the enterprise to deal with a crisis situation, providing air support to a rescue,
Starting point is 01:19:52 for the rescue of the SS Layton, a disabled communication ship that was drift, that was drifted into, that has drifted into hostile waters. See, they never say where? I don't know. I,
Starting point is 01:20:07 I, I could have swore these were Russian jets, but I don't know. I could be wrong. I don't know. Because the same thing in this new one. They don't, some made-up enemy.
Starting point is 01:20:19 We don't know. They don't say who it is. I learned this by watching this video. The guy that was doing the 21, whatever, he got to see the movie already. So he got to go to the premiere. He couldn't give away spoilers, but he was,
Starting point is 01:20:36 I was like, well, you're not giving away spoilers, but he was, laying down what was going. I watched the whole thing. He was laying down on what happened. He just didn't give way the end. I was like, damn.
Starting point is 01:20:47 So yeah, he was the one that said the bad guys and the new one, they, they, just some made up bad guys. You don't know who they are. I mean, but don't want to offend anybody. Yeah. Different time. Well, I guess in the 80s
Starting point is 01:21:02 is probably when to start because they, I, again, I assume they were Russians. Maverick and Merlin Cougars Rio are assigned to backup and assigned his backup for F-14s to follow to be flown by Iceman in Hollywood Despite Iceman's reservations
Starting point is 01:21:30 Over Maverick's state of mine The subsequent hostile engagement with six migs. All right. We finally got some good like battle action. I was like, okay,
Starting point is 01:21:42 I'd sit through all this bullshit. Hour and a half before I got the last half hour of fighting. I had to sit through. An hour and a half of good, good cinema. That's what you said.
Starting point is 01:21:53 Oh, we didn't fucking love this and that. And we, we kind of mentioned when Charlie was chasing Maverick and she was, ah, wow, she was cussing a matter of whatever.
Starting point is 01:22:05 Just because I fall in, I fell for you. See, there's more action for you, her driving through the streets. He jumps. No, he jumped his bike or does she jump? I don't remember. But anyway, yeah. Berlin is blasting and then they start making out. And then he takes it home and beats it up.
Starting point is 01:22:30 And then with the blue lit background. Yeah. their tongues licking each other. I was like, really? They did show all that. Anyway. Yeah. And then, yeah, so, yeah, then great.
Starting point is 01:22:45 And that being, that was after Goosa died. So, yeah, we finally get some action after an hour and a half of bullshit. I did like, I liked this part. This is what I wanted. And this is what I was told the movie was fighting and everything. I was told lies. Fuck, everyone that told me that. Anyway, I did like this because when they were out there fighting and those other
Starting point is 01:23:15 migs were coming after them, especially, I mean, I don't know how these things work, but fucking Iceman and in Hollywood, man, they got gunned up like multiple times. It sucks. This end confirms because of the whole movie, I'm just like, how is he getting? this far. And he's like the first one he's the first one to get shot down in this movie. Because yeah, they they got gunned up
Starting point is 01:23:45 because the excuse me. Other than all the missile action, I thought that was cool. And they were blowing up miggs. Oh, did one of the American jets go down? I can't remember. Yeah, Hollywood. Oh, that's right. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:02 Hollywood and a wolf man. man that's right they blew up they didn't die they yeah they ejected they got I'm saying ice man in the slider they were getting shot up but they were still in there yeah man they got shot up on both sides
Starting point is 01:24:19 because they were just because that one the mig was on his tail I can't get them off me and then they were just they were just gunning them up because because they had the wrong wing man with him he had Hollywood
Starting point is 01:24:30 um What I loved about this, and I have seen in other jet videos when the Rio in the back, when every time somebody flew by, you see them spinning around in their seat looking, I can't see him, I can't see him. Or they're looking just to see, well, he's back there at whatever, 12 o'clock or whatever. I loved all that when they did that. Because if you're in the pilot, I mean, you're looking just straight ahead and maybe left or right and maybe up. But you can't see what your Rio can see.
Starting point is 01:25:01 but I assume all the the little radar things in there would detect it I don't know but yeah because I did like how they're seen
Starting point is 01:25:15 when one of those jets were I think it was Ice Man's when they were flying up and that Meg was behind them shooting at them how they were just spinning and just you see all those tracers just flying by but then they just guns up the gunned up
Starting point is 01:25:29 one side of them were hit and then they were trying to get at it and then that big got him got the other side we're hit again so I loved all that but then here comes a Maverick to save the day I did like this part though
Starting point is 01:25:44 when he was flying around like talk to me goose and just to help him feel the force I was like what the fuck am I in right now yeah but yeah Maverick ended up
Starting point is 01:26:00 saving the day because they gunned up a couple of them did the other ones take off because I don't think they should Yeah they they They they blew up like two or three And then the other ones are like fuck it We're out of here
Starting point is 01:26:12 Uh Let me see Upon finally Rejoining Iceman The two are still badly outnumbered But Maverick Vokely refused to leave Iceman without a wingman And managed to shoot down three makes
Starting point is 01:26:27 All right Iceman shifting to offense He also shoots one down with forces with other forces the other two to flee all right so Maverick took down three iceman took down one that's when the other guy said fuck it we're out of here and they all took off for his his his aircraft ice man's all shot the hell he made it and hung in there with everyone that's why he's a top gun yeah that's why he was number one he got damaged and he was still able to take one down and fly around.
Starting point is 01:27:03 Yeah, so they have one that they, those two, those other makes take off. They all land and there's a huge welcoming party out on the deck. Talked down the Enterprise. Yeah. Everyone's, oh yeah, hooting and hollering. Them jester and Viper weren't.
Starting point is 01:27:22 They weren't even there, huh? They were back. They didn't get an omission. Back in San Diego. They just gave these young guys the order. his name was there. Principal was his name. Mr. Strickland, he was there.
Starting point is 01:27:39 And okay, earlier in the film when Maverick and Goose do that flyby to the tower, I don't know what the leader of the tower, I don't know. But why was he on the boat? He's the best tower guy. Strickland's the best. Whatever he is
Starting point is 01:28:02 positioned, he's the best at what he does. They call them the best, Nez. They called for this mission. Because when the,
Starting point is 01:28:13 this is what the guy said in that video too. He goes, he goes, all right. He goes, Iceman's aircraft is all shot up. But it, it just has enough juice to do the flyby.
Starting point is 01:28:25 It was my break. And then they go, And why do they have this guy always drinking coffee? Because they would say, as hot as it is out there, I don't think you want to be drinking some warm or hot. But I don't know. Because he had that one time when they go flying by. And he got coffee dumped on him twice when he did the flyby. And then when he was in there cussing out the higher-ups and then he comes walking out.
Starting point is 01:29:00 I think they said it happened before because he had got in trouble before for doing a flyby. I don't think it was to that dude. I think it was something else. The way this movie was going, it probably was. Because I like what he was yelling at those dudes and he goes, I want some, I want some butter, kick some butter, whatever. He walks out. Shout out to the, I don't think that guy was an actor. I think he was real naval airman, just walking calmly, looking straight ahead with.
Starting point is 01:29:31 tray of coffee that he gets knocked and does not lose character he just keeps on walking so but yeah everyone's all partying yeah hooting and hollering everyone's and this is when
Starting point is 01:29:47 Iceman comes up to Maverick you're still dangerous but you can be my wingman anytime and Maverick no you can be mine and then now they're buddies and you know Iceman's like that that's not going to happen.
Starting point is 01:30:03 I'm top gun. Yeah, he's legit top gun. Maverick was just in the school. So, but I, okay, that's what I'm thinking about it now. I did like that thing. I mean,
Starting point is 01:30:17 you just assumed that Maverick was going to be the number one guy. But everything, his, his cockiness, and then losing his real and his buddy. and I think that just kind of knocked the matter of whack. But he was the hero
Starting point is 01:30:35 of this movie in the end because he did save Ice Man and everyone else. Taking out three jets by himself because later in this new film they're saying that he had the most kills in recent battles
Starting point is 01:30:51 and everything. But yeah, I did like, I like the ending to this film and actually show some fighting and some action and everything. And the big celebration, I don't the Enterprise at the end. And then I don't remember what song was playing at the end. I wasn't
Starting point is 01:31:07 dangerous on. I don't think so. Someone could be yelling at me, but all right, man. Are you ready for a Maverick? Yep, that is the next one we're doing. You said you're going Thursday. I am going Friday.
Starting point is 01:31:23 Well, I can tell you guys this. I won't spoil anything, but the first 45 minutes of Maverick is better than this whole fucking movie. and the shit that they show when they're in jets, it was them. It was Tom Cruise. It was all the actors and everything.
Starting point is 01:31:41 And the stuff that, the stuff I saw, it was awesome. And Jennifer Conley, so fine. Well, me and the listeners will be the judge of that. This movie is better than the original.
Starting point is 01:31:55 Dude, the, it's out there already. The first 45 minutes was, Awesome. So I got to see the rest. But I am going to go see it in IMAX. So, but Tom Cruise, man, you're getting old, buddy. How old is he anyway? He's got to be pushing 60. He is 59. Yeah. I was close. I didn't watch it yet, but the new Mission Impossible teaser drop. Oh, man, I was just about to bring that up.
Starting point is 01:32:30 okay I didn't watch it but uh what'd you think of it I'm ready I've loved it well I didn't love all the impossible movies go back and listen to all those we ran through all of them but I'm juiced and this is only part one yeah because they were doing they were filming seven and eight back to back oh okay and is eight it is that the the last movie he's gonna do if this movie makes hundreds of millions of dollars you know
Starting point is 01:33:00 it can't they'll never shut the door and unless tom don't want to do it no more um i think he's at that stage in his career man that since uh they're letting him do all his stunts um i'm looking at his i mdb we got uh dead reckoning part one uh next year and then isn't it done well i guess they're still filming some stuff because they had a lot of the COVID delays. Yeah, that was that big, uh, that audio of him screaming at everyone. But take people's careers and I understand that because especially at that time when that incident happened, he's, he's one of the executive producers and he's got his own hard earned
Starting point is 01:33:52 money in that shit. So I totally understand why he, he went off. Yeah. It came, it came off a lot better than Christian bail. when he did his thing. He just divot out and lost. Well, but then again, I kind of understand that one too. I mean, you're in the middle of film and the scene and a guy just walks through the
Starting point is 01:34:16 walks through the scene. There's a lot of movies like that throughout the movie history, especially a movie was, oh, it was Gladiator when you see that guy in the jeans during the battle in the beginning. Oh, did you see the new Thor trailer? that drop today. Oh, yeah. I guess they're going
Starting point is 01:34:37 more comedy again. I like the way Christian Bell looks in it. What is he? Gore, Gore the God butcher. Yeah, he looks evil. Yeah. I like what they're doing. And what's her name?
Starting point is 01:34:52 Natalie Portman. She looks like she got kind of big for this one, her arms. She had to unless it's CGI. Speaking of CGI, are you flipping out over the She-Hulk. I like it. I like what's going on.
Starting point is 01:35:07 But it was 8-9. I brought this up on the horror returns. I don't think the CGI is finished. That's what I was thinking. It does look a little weird, but I don't think. I think the story looks interesting. And I think the show will be good.
Starting point is 01:35:26 I think they still have time because I don't think it comes out until August to touch up the the excuse me the CGI and a lot of people are like but the Hulk and the Abomination don't look like that and it's because they've had time to work on the Hulk and the abomination for years that that's done
Starting point is 01:35:48 when did that come out that incredible Hulk I was like the second movie yeah that was the second movie in the MCU I mean come on take it take it easy and this is the first time they're ever doing a she Hulk so I didn't have necessarily a problem with it. If anything, the CGI, if it's bad,
Starting point is 01:36:11 the only thing I'll have a problem with is the CGI. I don't think I have a problem with the story or the show. I don't. I like the lady that they picked to do it. She was, she's awesome. You ever see Orphan Black? No, I have not. I recommend that show.
Starting point is 01:36:29 She's in Tatiana's Miss Miss. Miss Lani. she plays a bunch of clones and she's playing a whole bunch of different versions of herself I've been waiting for her to get kind of a like a bigger role since that show so I'm perfectly
Starting point is 01:36:43 fine with her casting was she in a comedy because that's where I'm I think I saw her in something else I think she's done like not big movies but she's done movies and TV shows since
Starting point is 01:37:03 then. I want to say it was something that I saw as a she was a comedy that she was in and the other thing I was trying to tell somebody like these Marvel shows they're not for everybody they're for different demographics like there's gonna
Starting point is 01:37:20 I already know there's people when the Miss Marvel comes out there's going to be people talking shit about that that's geared to younger women younger girls well I was like the runaways and I mean I tried but it was geared for a younger audience.
Starting point is 01:37:37 And I, I tapped out. So, but. But what Marvel is always good at. They're always bringing things together and then. Yeah. I mean, I'd like to see this. And it's cool that, uh,
Starting point is 01:37:51 smart Hulk or professor Hulk or whoever he is, is going to be in it. And it's good to see Mr. Yeah. It's good to see Mr. Orange coming back as abomination. Tim Roth. We'd see him in the trailer.
Starting point is 01:38:04 Yeah. Um, interested to see where that goes because last we saw him was in Shang-chi. Yeah, and he was fighting, was a Wong? Yeah. Yeah. But they were, they left together. So
Starting point is 01:38:16 I'm interested to see what the fuck he's been doing since the first Hulk movie. Is he good? Is he bad? Because I thought he was good in, uh, I think he was, I think he's working up to be good. I honestly, I think
Starting point is 01:38:34 they're going to do the thunderbolts sometime soon give me the power pack that's what I want the most the old 80s power pack not this new what's they'll probably do I like that one
Starting point is 01:38:50 if you guys are familiar with a power pack I thought that was a cool little comic before they changed it and everything but I'm ready for Thor I'm ready for she Hulk but I'm ready to watch a Maverick
Starting point is 01:39:05 in IMAX So real quick before I know we're kind of running a little long here But before we get out of here A little wrestling talk Your girl Suspended from WWE Oh Ria Or Sasha
Starting point is 01:39:23 The boss Is this just a work I heard two different stories One does not make her look good and they're saying she's been kind of flipping out because of how they've been booking Rhonda since she came back. Because I guess originally it was supposed to be her in Charlotte at WrestleMania. And then they said Rhonda would be able to make WrestleMania and they rebooked her. And basically it's like you can have the tag titles instead.
Starting point is 01:39:56 I understand that. Because Rhonda was, she was a new mom. Yeah, I mean, nothing, nothing against her. She's, hey, we, we need you. Come on. All right, cool. I'll do it. And I'll take that check. But I can see that, and I'm sure it wasn't Rhonda's decision to be in a main event, to win the Royal Rumble and then main event, WrestleMania.
Starting point is 01:40:26 But I can see, to me, I've always thought, I mean, they were pushing the hell out of Sasha in the beginning, when she came up when she was NXT and then when she finally came to the main roster and everything and then she did a good run
Starting point is 01:40:42 yeah she won that that belt of plenty of times but then it seems after she had come back from Mandalorian is when she they were just filling her in
Starting point is 01:40:55 and just not doing anything good I think they were so mad after the last time she walked out yeah I don't know I mean, Naomi, I love you, but you're not on that status
Starting point is 01:41:08 to where you can just walk out to. Yeah, I, that was the one I was like, really? That's when I thought it was a work. I wasn't sure. I could see Sasha doing it,
Starting point is 01:41:19 but Naomi, yeah, you're not at that level. Yeah, you won that belt like, what, for a night and then they gave it up, but they're,
Starting point is 01:41:26 I guess they're also saying, like, when it happened that night, I guess they were, they were there to discuss things. and then people got loud and started yelling. And that's when they were just like, fuck it, we're gone. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:41:44 I think Sasha fell, all right, yeah, you could come back. Because she's good in the ring and she knows what she's doing. If they don't, if she leaves WWE, shit, I'm sure AEW will take you. But I don't know. I mean, we'll see what happens. and um is vint still selling the company i thought he was doing i don't know there's just so much going on stephanie took a leave of absence because triple a age is gone he's back oh he's okay all right soon as soon as stephanie leaves like he he's back
Starting point is 01:42:22 but what is he back for because they didn't already tore apart what he did with nxtee so yeah it was like they just slapped him in the face. That's probably why I left. Then she said, you know what? Well, stuff if you don't need to work, man, that money is guaranteed. I think they were working to show that they can run the company.
Starting point is 01:42:49 But I kind of feel like when the news came out that Vince was possibly selling, I think that's when everybody was just like, oh, fuck it. Might as well just take a leave of absence for a while or maybe that's why Shane got all wacky
Starting point is 01:43:04 and started to book his own matches. and I assume that he was going to come back and I run the show him and Stephanie and Triple H but I don't know we don't know what WWE if you've been listening to us talk about it we don't know what the fuck they're doing they're cutting everyone left and right getting rid of good talent
Starting point is 01:43:29 but it's good to see that they're all back went to AEW and everything The thing that I love the most is Ria now. I love her run now. She's beautiful. I love it. Black hair tattoos and all that. I was watching a TikTok video and she's still staying in the park.
Starting point is 01:43:59 There were some little girls out in the front going, oh, yeah, Ria. And she goes, don't touch me. don't ever touch me or whatever. You can't touch me. And then she walks to the back. I got to send you this video of it's basically side by side of her doing her promo. And basically it's side by side with CM Punk doing the pipe bomb talking about the
Starting point is 01:44:21 they're getting the autographs and selling them on eBay thing. It's kind of similar. I'm sure it's what they hear, learn this. and she's she's not going to go what i didn't see him punk do this you just all right you guys sign my check and i'm gonna do what i gotta do we don't want a double or nothing when is that one i think this weekend oh shit why not um
Starting point is 01:44:57 i will talk about it off but um yeah everyone we're we don't go that's it everyone we're done with the movie but uh yeah come back when we talk about Maverick on something. Starting point is 01:46:07 Hopefully. Same thing with the E-Ssociety and McNaz. We got the old designs on there. I'm in the works of getting two new designs for each show. So not two E-society design.
Starting point is 01:46:22 Like when I say two, a new E-Society and a new MacNaz one. Not anytime soon, but it's coming. But yeah, we just dropped the latest episode for E-Society, episode 250, so go check that out. It was the Zisu show because I didn't watch anything.
Starting point is 01:46:40 He watched one movie and whatever TV shows he watches. But he did a lot of sports wrap up. We talked about Obi-1 some more with these new little TV spots. But with that, yeah, come back next week. What are we doing? Top Gun. Is that, oh, that's just a regular episode, not a bonus? No.
Starting point is 01:47:03 Oh, okay, yeah, yeah, come back next week. Yeah, we're doing. Top Gun Maverick and then the episode after that we're going to jump into Iron Eagle. Yeah, I don't know about the sequels, but the first one, yeah. But yeah, everyone, yeah, come back for all that. So until next time, be safe and party on. And make sure you're good to each other.
