Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, welcome to another episode of the wrestling returns.
We are back with another episode of the wrestling returns.
I'm your host Brian.
With me as always is my brother Nez.
What's up, man?
Oh, man, I'm good.
This was better than backlash.
Way better than backlash.
It's looking like it's going to be better than SummerSlam.
or not SummerSlam
Hell in the cell
Yeah, but speaking of SummerSlam
It's gonna be going on
And I think in August in Vegas
At that uh
Bust ass
Las Vegas Raiders Stadium
Are they gonna stay the Raiders?
I don't know
I don't care
Oakland's not there
So I can give a fuck about that team
Go Seahawks
But I got my ticket
And I'm gonna be there
Nice
I don't know where
We're on the floor, but I don't know where.
I don't really know how they're doing the whole seat thing in there.
A friend of mine, shout out to wrestling guru, DJ.
God damn what the hell is his name?
DJ something.
DJ thrills.
Yeah, that's his day.
He's a huge wrestling fan.
so he hooked it all up so we're uh we're gonna be there in the house so
nice i'm ready it's good to uh get back to these wrestling events and uh nothing better than
to in the summer with uh w w e summer slam so i'm gonna hopefully do some recording there
and i'll just add it to the episode when uh when i get back
but I'm juiced and I'm ready and I want to go in early because I do want to walk around and check out that stadium.
I seen it from the outside the last time I was in Vegas for Days of the Dead.
But that was it.
It's really close to the airport.
So I don't know.
I guess we're going to figure out where we're staying and all that.
Shit, the last time I was in Vegas, it was just an empty lot right there.
Well, it's done and built.
I still, I didn't really look.
We just kind of went by it on the freeway.
I didn't really check it out because I know there was issues with parking.
They were saying, I guess they were saying they didn't want tailgating or any of that.
And they were saying parking was like a mile away.
So I don't know.
This is just what they were saying when they were building it.
I don't know exactly how the whole situation has worked.
But either way, man, we're either going to Uber it or hopefully one of the airport or one of the hotel shuttles will drop us off there.
We'll be faded.
But we'll see.
I'll be alive enough to remember what happened.
But anything can happen in Vegas.
Yes, sir.
in your house when was the last in your house
I assumed last year
yeah just last year
I've got a date on that one
because um
what's her name was still in NXT
uh real Ripley
yeah so it's good that
she's um
on the main roster
um I haven't been keeping up with Raw
Smackdown or anything she's still a champ
yeah
It's just fucking raw is boring.
Smackdown is not so bad,
but it's just because,
in my opinion,
it's because they got,
they got Bianca Belair
and they got the Roman Raines
and Uso storyline going.
And Raw is just like,
same thing like every week.
Yeah, but I don't know.
We got, um,
what is it?
Oh, hell on the cell next weekend.
Father's Day weekend.
I'll watch it, of course.
But this, man, this show, it was good to see that they had an audience in the crowd at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida.
So that was good.
It took place yesterday, June 13th.
And I wasn't really sure.
on how
the seating was
I mean it looked like everyone was like
as far as the rows
being kind of spaced out
but everyone was still pretty much
shoulder to shoulder sitting there
yeah so but I mean it was cool
it was better clearly better
than the live crowd sound
that they they've been doing
so it was always good when
you got a live audience in the crowd
and I'm sure it's good for
the wresters probably love it as well
because they usually get hyped up by everyone.
But, man, I was hyped through this whole thing.
So, I mean, I thought this was,
NXT always is the better brand because,
I mean, we've said this before.
These guys have to prove something,
prove their way to earn their spot up in the main roster.
But sometimes that isn't good.
If you get up there, then they do nothing with you
and the next thing you know, you're fired.
So, but good to hear bad news Barrett and the Glamazon.
She was there commenting.
Who was the other dude in the middle?
I didn't even really recognize him.
Yeah.
I mean, he's there, but I.
They keep like rotating.
Like with all the shows, they keep rotating.
Because there was a guy for Raw.
I guess he was only there for like two weeks.
And then he quit.
so but there's a rumor i guess they're and they're bringing samoa jo back to nxte
might as well i mean i think that he might be bringing him back as a commentator
good and bring him yeah if he's not in the ring that's all right but just uh bring him in
and uh at least we can hear him and see him but who knows i don't know do you think uh
Wade Barrett would ever wrestle again?
I mean,
you can't rule it out,
but it seemed like he was kind of
wanting to get out of it.
I know he did a couple movies when he had left wrestling
and then he got into commentating.
So he seems pretty set in what he's doing,
but you know,
never,
Either he maybe he does maybe he doesn't even want to maybe he's fine with just his position now
Still getting that WWE money so but I figure at maybe some point
Someone will bring him in in maybe even if he just jumped in the ring for a little bit and did his move and then
Then got out of the ring I mean that that'd be good enough for me
Because Beth Phoenix yeah, she's uh
She comes in every now and then really last time I think I want to say the last time was a royal rumble
yeah in 2020 when she busted her head open um stayed in there though yeah she did
i just felt bad for her man because that little red stain was just getting bigger and bigger and
bigger on the back of right yeah i didn't even realize it at first it was like why has her hair
only dyed red right there and then i was like oh she's because when they showed the replay i was like
oh she she's busted wide open yeah so it's good uh
to always see her in there.
But all right.
What was there?
Five matches in this one?
There was five, six matches.
And then there was a pre-show one, which I did not watch.
I didn't either.
Which, uh, it was, uh, Surrey, which is their new, uh, signy from Japan.
Teaming up with Zoe Stark and they defeated the Robert Stone brand, which is
Alia and Jesse
Camilla,
which I don't know them.
I know Robert Stone
because he used to be in TNA
and he had like a Jersey Shore
gimmick.
Oh,
his name was like Rob E
or something like that.
Oh, yeah.
I remember him.
He's the guy that
Shotsie Blackheart ran over
with the tank.
I know she made her appearance
tonight, but I was kind of like,
man, just give her a match.
I mean, obviously what was going on tonight's going to lead into something.
We'll see as well as Dakota Kai, man.
I love her.
I wanted to see her in there.
I mean, she was there, but yeah, yeah, it wasn't her night.
But the first match right now was my favorite out of everything.
This was the winners take all.
I don't even know how to pronounce this.
Legato del Fantasma.
Yep.
versus the nxte tag team champions msk and the nxte north american champion bronson reed for a big man
he was doing it i love bronson reed oh that uh the ending i was like ah i was screaming
because uh i mean at times i was kind of like all right man this six guys uh are
going to be wrestling sometimes it can be good sometimes it can be bad but this one was definitely
good man these guys were all over the place i mean especially the the luchador guys they were just
flying all over the place as well um they did have the mass on when they came in but then they took
them all off right uh when the um the match took place but yeah that was like their thing when they
because they were all mass wrestlers when they first were at nxte but when they like came together
to form their little uh little faction they uh took the mask off i don't know why but that was like
their thing yeah but i thought this this match man they they they brought the house down
and ronton reed um other than his finishing off the top of the rope i love when he dove across he was
Usually when guys that come off the top,
at least before they hit,
they kind of pretty much their knees
and maybe their arms or hands take most of the forces.
They hit the mat so they don't take full force
onto the guy that's laying there.
No, man.
Yeah, he came down on his knees and everything,
but it looked like he took the full force of Bronson Reed.
I was like, damn, and that guy's,
let's say if he's not 400 pounds he's pushing it and uh who says he is 3 30 oh yeah so but
that's just buffness and and just the chubbyness i always feel bad though because i know like
you know you got to take that big splash off the top rope yeah and you're just probably just
thinking about it and then when it comes
it's like fuck got to do it
gotta take it
he even crashed
through the the barricade and the
fence
I can't remember who the dude
he came running full speed at him
he like came out of nowhere
yeah it was a Santos Escobar
he's like the leader
of the yeah the group
because yeah they were on the
outside of the ring and
some of the
camera work was a day I caught a couple messups but um now I mean they were right
they had the good angle because when Bronson Reed came out of nowhere crashed
into Escobar man they just tore down the the black barrier the plexiglass and the
fence the gate the fence that they had up and they showed the first time they
showed it it was really quick but then when they started at the end of the
match that were showing the different multiple angles of that and man they just went crashing through
their hell of hard um so that was really cool but i mean i loved all these guys in there man they
there was no pussyfooting around no no dead air uh during the matchments when somebody was in
the ring or the two guys that were in the ring they just gave everybody's their money's worth
because I just thought this match.
They tore the house down.
And Bronson Reed coming off the top rope at the end to finish.
And these guys, there's their MSK and Bronson Reed are still the champs.
So everything is all good.
But yeah, man, I really enjoyed this match.
Yeah, one of the things I really liked, I like it was winner take all.
Because if this was on, let's say, the main roster.
These titles probably wouldn't even be defended.
No, but it was an awesome match.
I think I mentioned.
I had upgraded the Peacock to no commercials.
So I didn't watch this when it was live.
I watched the replay because when I first got Peacock with commercials
and I did one of the replays, oh, man, they threw the commercials in the worst spots.
When it's live, there's no commercials.
It's just what happens, but on the replay is when they add all the different ads and everything.
And I was like, it was killing me.
So I had that upgrade.
I still don't like an LP card.
I don't, I don't like the functions and the menus and I don't know.
It just seems, I know it's probably still in the early stages of it being on there,
but just right now, I don't, I don't like it.
Yeah.
I mean, when it was on the, the, the, when it had the own network.
when you were watching the replays,
you could see,
okay,
this is,
okay,
you can go to pretty much any match
that you want on that card.
On Peacock,
you'd have fast forward it
if you wanted to get,
if you just,
if you just wanted to see the main event.
So,
but I don't know.
I assume they're still just working on it
and maybe,
uh,
they'll change it.
But as of now,
yeah,
I don't,
I don't like how they do it.
And it,
to me,
it's kind of,
confusing trying to find older
older stuff
so but
again I only I pretty
pretty much watch it when there's pay-per-views
I haven't really
clicked around and watched anything else
when it was on the network I was watching everything
on there all the little docs and
the Stone Cold podcast and everything
yeah but
all right this next match
it seemed like a filler
I mean I love both of these
these gals but it was
it was okay
yeah
I'm sorry go ahead
no I go ahead
I was yeah
I was just saying that
I kind of felt like it was more
to showcase them
I mean the the storyline
is what it was
I mean
they're beefing
because somebody lost four years ago
it's kind of
kind of dumb but
I like that they were
they showcasing these two women
yeah um was it
a merse mercedes martinez uh taken on uh was it zia lee
zaya um
it was what it was i mean
they it seemed like this one this match was like really quick
like once it got going next you know it was over
yeah and i
the ending
I think it was a missed opportunity because
I didn't like the whole.
I like the whole mysteriousness of, what is it,
the May,
May Ying.
Yeah.
The one that sits in the chair.
But when she,
like,
grabbed Mercedes by her throat,
it just seemed like something that wouldn't happen,
especially from Mercedes-Martinez.
Yeah.
Getting grabbed.
I wouldn't,
maybe she threw,
like,
instead of grabbing her throat,
maybe, like,
popped her in her throat or something,
like did some kind of chop to her throat or something or punch or something.
Yeah,
but it was just,
eh.
And then the dude was, I think his name was Boa.
I think he was kind of mysterious for a while too.
And then he was just getting handled also.
And it kind of ruined the whole mystique of them for me a little bit.
I did like Ziley, though.
You know, she's a good martial artist and I like what she's doing.
I like that they're kind of reworking her because she was just kind of there before.
but doing the whole package with this with this little group here I like what they're doing and
I like we get to see Mercedes Martinez more because I think she's going to get called though
real soon yeah I mean the match started out cool but then next thing you know it was over so
I was kind of like uh but yeah this this rivalry started four years ago at the May on classic
Mercedes Martinez won that one and then I guess they were just I had to
build up to it.
But, I mean, again,
this match, it was good.
But then it just, at the very ending,
after Zai won, it just kind of like went,
eh.
Because of Mercedes, no,
Zai came back with a,
with a chair.
Mm-hmm.
And then Mercedes took from her.
I mean, they both got some few licks in,
and then,
what's or nuts in the chair?
May,
May,
Ying.
Yeah, she,
came walking towards and that's when
well they were fighting
and then they kind of fell out of the ring
and then when they were on the ramp that's when
Martinez saw
and then she came up
and making choking her
and I was like
really
do you think she's somebody we've seen before
or she like a new
new wrestler
I'm hoping
she's just new but I do
have that feeling it's
someone we've seen before.
And then that,
I don't know, maybe
if it is,
if it's just somebody new,
cool,
fine.
I mean,
I like the way she looks.
But if it's someone that we've seen already,
it's Molly Holly.
Oh,
it better get a big pop.
I don't know.
We'll see.
Yeah,
she won that one by Penfall.
It was,
yeah,
it was pretty much like you said.
It was a filler.
This next one,
the ladder match for the million dollar title
Ted DiBiopsis
Million dollar belt
I thought this was going to be a filler as well
Until then they broke out the ladders
So I was like I was good
I was all in
A couple of the things were a little goofy
But overall I thought it was an awesome match
And this was a L.A. night
Which I hate versus Cameron Grimes
Yeah
I fucking hate his name
he because I know him from impacts and I think he was also an NWA he was
Eli Drake and then for some reason he's LA night
which I fucking think is the dumbest name but he's a good heel he
will get on your nerves yeah man I mean the
the little the stuff they built up before the match started I thought that was
all good and everything Ted DBI
see the million dollar man he's
up there in age but he still looks
good looks like he
uh takes care of himself
um i take it a sunny wrestling
anymore is he no he runs like a
he works with uh outreach
is that how you sound said outreach kids
at risk kids sorry
oh good yeah he's like
super religious now and
works with kids
i found Jesus
yeah
nothing against that if you
guys uh if that's what you guys believe in what i don't want to believe but i've seen the thing i guess
they put on wrestling shows for the kids like so he he still gets in there but it's nothing like
professional or nothing but it's for the kids yeah sure it's uh g rated wrestling but um
Cameron grimes i could take him but he's funny and i liked him but man there was times i
thought they weren't going to get up because of and always well later on but when the
they but dealing with ladders man these guys took hard bumps and it's sometimes it
looks like they hit the ladder but they don't hit it the way they want to it's like parts
of them hit it and i'm like ooh and you mean they're you know you see what they're going for
when they're falling off these ladders and everything
or getting hit with them.
I think he got hurt though.
Yeah, there was a time where it looked like he hit a ladder wrong.
No, it was the one I'm talking about is when he jumped off that pillar
or that's when he was getting pushed off the ladder
and he jumped on that little, I don't know what you call it,
that little beam or whatever.
And then he jumped off out towards L.A. Knight
who was standing next to the ring.
And you could see, or yeah, you can see LA night talking to him when they were laying there.
Like he was checking on him as well as the ref.
So I think he didn't land that like he was supposed to.
Yeah, he didn't go up very high.
For some reason, I was hoping that he was going to climb that,
then climb across that the beam, the top beam that was holding up the belt above the ring.
Did you like that glass case that was in?
No.
I don't know.
I didn't like it how,
because when the LA night,
LA night won the match.
As he was holding it,
the belt was all flopping around in there.
Yeah.
I mean,
I guess for a presentation,
but I probably would have liked the,
I don't know if they added a key,
like you had to get the key first,
then get to the belt.
So.
Yeah,
that belt,
it was,
I don't think it's a belt you can wear.
Because it looked like it was just other than the dollar signs full of diamonds on the front, but the straps, it wasn't like leather straps.
It was painted gold, but I don't know.
It didn't look like there was a connector.
So it's probably something you can just sling over your shoulder or walk around with it.
The ending, man, I thought Cameron Grimes, he hit that.
He was climbing the, they had that a gold ladder.
with the dollar signs on it.
He was climbing up top because they had set some ladders up outside for,
for whatever move, but they never got to him.
So they were still set up.
But when L.A. 9 pushed the gold ladder because Cameron Grimes was almost to the top,
and then he felt backwards onto one of the other ladders that was set up.
Ooh, I mean, I don't care who you are, I mean, even if someone just hit you with it.
But when you fall from a high up high,
on to those things,
man,
I give it to him.
I mean,
that's why I love Jeff Hardy
because he always goes super high.
But this one,
this match was cool.
At first I was kind of like,
because I don't like L.A.
night,
so I was kind of like,
yeah,
okay, whatever.
But I thought these guys did,
they did an awesome job.
It was,
I like the outcome.
Now that he's a million dollar champ,
you really are going to hate him.
I guarantee.
Yeah.
And I guarantee, yeah, he's probably going to hold on to that title for a while.
I mean, until the next heel comes along and takes it.
Because if the face guys get it, I don't know.
I think to me the million dollar belt is usually good if a heel has it.
Because they can flaunt it and all that.
If you're one of the good guys, you're like, yeah, I won the belt.
Cool, right on.
That's it.
You'll at least get the heel.
heal guys to talk shit and everything.
So, uh, I don't know who else was coming next.
I assume he'll hold on to it for a while before he goes, uh, it goes to another match.
So.
Yeah.
I don't think this, this feud is over with yet.
No.
I mean, it's still kind of fresh.
I was getting that LA night was trying to get the belt.
And Cameron Grimes was trying to impress Ted DiBiase.
I kind of felt like that's how the story was going.
Yeah, because there was times when L.A. Night was on the outside of the ring and kind of leaning in whispering to Ted DiBiase. So I was kind of like, okay.
Yeah, I mean, the match was good. I mean, I thought it was going to be weak, but it turned, it turned out pretty awesome.
All right. This one I thought was going to be a filler, but I did enjoy it.
Um, when did Amber moon, Amber Moon go back to NXT?
Uh, it was, uh, last year.
Okay.
Because she, she was off for a while with the injury.
And then she came back and I, I totally agree that she should have been,
I thought it was too soon for her to go to the main roster because they did nothing with her.
And then she just ended up getting hurt.
So yeah, she, she came back last year and she's formed a friendship and the team with.
with a shot see yeah I love both of those ember moon okay this is the in the
nx t women's title match yeah ember moon taking on the current champ Raquel
Gonzalez I love Raquel she's awesome um she's the gal that's like six feet
tall right because yeah I was just like it that I'm looking at it out right now she is
He has six feet, one on almost 200 pounds.
Yeah, because Ember Moon is not a tall woman.
So, but I liked how wind.
I mean, obviously, Raquel Gonzalez was going to be kicking ass in the beginning.
And then Amber Moon came back.
There was some messups.
Some of the moves that Amber Moon was trying to do when she, they, they just didn't execute them.
Yeah, I felt like that ending was botched.
Yeah, it just.
When she came off for the eclipse on, I think it was the first time she tried.
She like completely missed.
But I give it to Raquel Gonzalez.
She just fell with it.
Yeah, Amber Moon is 5-2.
Yeah, I mean, so, I mean, again, I mean, it's good.
Emmer Moon, I mean, I love her.
She does what she does and everything.
I mean, I saw her live once.
at one of the live shows and she was badass.
This match was pretty good.
I wasn't expecting much,
but they both went pretty hard.
And minus the mistakes,
I mean,
which mistakes are going to happen.
But other than that,
I thought the whole match was good.
They do not mention codebreaker at all on here.
Because they have removed but a code breaker.
Gonzalez said they didn't even say what the move was.
They said, oh, oh, yeah, Y2J, Chris Jericho.
He says a lot.
And I don't ever think he'll come back.
But I don't know.
But I think he's got a good spot where he's at now with the AEW.
Yeah, they're building something really nice over there.
So he'll probably.
be back for like a Hall of Fame or something.
Yeah, but yeah,
Moon goes back. I'm reading this on wrestling inc.com.
Moon goes back to the top of the road.
This is at the end of the match.
It's a free eclipse,
but Gonzalez blocks it mid-move.
They tangle and Gonzalez nails snake eyes,
which was pretty sloppy.
Into the turnbuckle and the big arm power bomb.
uh for the pin and she's still the champ so yeah because i felt like when she caught amber moon
the first time and spun her around in the air yeah kind of felt like she was trying she was supposed
to spin her around into the the bait whatever whatever choke slam move she does but i felt like
they ended up having to improvise at the end yeah you you can clearly see it it looked like uh whoops
but the show must go on no matter what.
I mean, I like that they do that,
but sometimes it's when you know something bad happens
and they continue.
Because I just recently watched the match
when Eddie Guerrero had a heart attack in the room.
And JBL, you could see that.
You can see him looking at him.
kind of see him looking around like what's going on but then he just ran in really quick
and pinned him to to get the match over so uh but that was good but yeah this one i mean
you can clearly see they botched it towards towards the end but they but they kept going so
uh good for them um the next one was uh oh this was the the main event wasn't it yeah it was
the show went pretty quick for a show that was over three hours.
It went pretty fast.
Yeah.
This was the fatal five way for the NXT title of Johnny Gorgano, Adam Cole, Pete Dunn,
Kyle O'Reilly, and Carrying and Cross.
I love Johnny Gargano, so I was hoping for him to pull it out.
But Adam Cole's badass Pete Dunn, Kyle O'Reilly.
I like both of them.
But Carrying Cross.
He was the champ going in and he's still the champ now.
But with that being said, man, these guys tore the house down too.
I loved how it just went back and forth, back and forth.
And I'm glad that, I mean, there was times when all five of them were in the ring,
but I'm glad that it was like it did turn into a one-on-one battle when all the other guys that weren't in the ring were out laying on the side and everything.
I was really kind of worried because of times during this whole night,
pretty much any of the matches where the guys flew out were flying out of the ring
towards the announcer's table.
Man, these guys were getting close.
Yeah, that table's too close.
Yeah, they need to move that back.
But I'm a good five more feet because I was like, luckily these guys and gals were all on their feet.
to either put their hands on the desk to prevent them from hitting it.
But there was a few times they came within inches of hitting that thing when they came flying out of the ring.
Especially when to go back to the beginning when what's his name?
Bronson Reed, when he flew out out of the ring, when he landed on all of them, man,
those guys that were outside of the ring that caught him, they kind of.
you could see them kind of look back to make sure they knew that distance between themselves and the desk.
So, but yeah, I was, I was, ah, I was just hell of nervous every time somebody came flying around.
I was like, man, fly out another way.
That area was just, it was a little risky.
Yeah, because some of these guys can really fly because going up to the main roster, I can't think of his name right now.
the guy from uh
what is that tag team
oh shit
I'm spacing on
now we'll just forget about
I can't you remember the taxi
yeah but uh
I mean these guys were going
these guys
I
they were going full on
because some of the kicks
they were taking especially when a Pete done
took a kick
uh
I think it was Adam Cole
they got him towards the end of the match
and that looked like that there was no pull
back. That was just full force
to Pete Dunn's
face. I was like,
wow.
They go hard on that XC.
Yeah, man, they're going hell
hard. I mean,
like Adam Cole,
I'd rather have him
stay on NXT just so he can go
hard because I know, I mean, they do
this all the time when they pull
them to the main rosters and then
do nothing
with them. I mean, there's
They're still concentrating on, I'll use him for an example because he's been
concentrated on him for years now.
I mean, Roman Reigns.
I'm a Roman Reins guy, but they just, I don't want to say Casina's not there that all
they've been focusing on, but it is safe to say they do that.
So I'm scared that like if Adam Cole goes up.
The rumor is he might.
go up when money in the bank happens.
I mean,
Johnny Gorgano, if he goes up,
cool, but I kind of see him sticking around,
as well as Pete Dun and Kylo O'Reilly.
I kind of see them sticking around
NXC for a little bit longer,
but who knows, maybe I'm wrong.
But Canyon Cross, I have a feeling he's going to go.
He's the whole package,
as far as what I feel like,
guys like Vince want as a wrestler.
so I think he'll go soon.
Adam Cole's definitely going to go.
Out of the other three,
I would have to say Gargano,
but he has that thing now,
the little crew he has,
the way with his wife.
So I don't know.
Kyle O'Reilly,
I like him, but I think they need to build up
his character more.
And Pete Dunn,
I kind of feel like,
I like Pete Dunn, but I kind of feel like out of anybody, he'll be the one that gets lost if they bring him up.
Yeah.
They'll like bring him up.
He'll be singles for like maybe one week and then teaming him up with someone stupid.
Yeah.
He'll be the next regissue.
Yeah.
But I love the carrying cross and scarlet thing.
Scarlet's hot and everything.
But my daughter was so confused.
with her.
He's like, is she supposed to be some kind of witch or something?
I was like, I don't know.
Because she is, she, she didn't really watch it, but she came in during the
carrying cross is like entrance with the, with the fog and everything.
She was like, was she kind of witch because she like popped out of the fog.
Yeah.
And the way she was dressed and how it's like, that's just the way, which is
odd because I remember her from impact.
And she was kind of more flaunting her body than what she does now.
Yeah.
I mean, I
She also did a stink face too.
I think they're
Don't know what they got yet.
No.
Yeah, she does.
She does matches and everything,
but it's,
you know,
we're going to team up with this guy for a while
to we figure out what to do with you.
Well,
I think they're married or something in real life.
Oh,
okay.
They're neither married or to,
I know they're together.
But,
I mean,
this whole match,
these guys all went hard.
um little little men little miners nothing nothing too obvious uh for as far as mess
mess ups but um i thought it was a good match man when carrying cross was in there just destroying
everyone in the beginning and then uh i don't know if he got winded but he fell out and laid there
for a while before he came jumping back in but uh i loved um to me i think
out of out of these five guys i mean i thought when pete dunn
and Kyle O'Reilly were in there getting it, man.
They were fucking going hell of hard.
And I loved how every time somebody was getting pinned
and they'd come breaking it up,
I think it was Gorgano
when someone was getting pinned
and he just came flipping in.
Or when they, I think it was Adam Kool
and
it wasn't O'Radi.
was Gorgano when they double teamed
and kicked Super Kicked
Pete Dunn when he was in the air.
I was like, damn.
Because this match, when they were doing
those kicks, man, they were kicking
hella hard and they were connecting.
I mean, it's
different sometimes, but when you get
kicked in the face or in the
side of your face, I mean,
obviously maybe they didn't give
it like full force of the kick, but
that the way that they were connecting.
Oh man. I mean, there was
there was no way around that to say that they missed or pulled their kicks there was one uh carrying
through a kick of kind of a big boot type kick and uh i think it was i want to say uh pt done
and he caught him like flush yeah i was like ooh um the ending wasn't the greatest but i but i did
like how um who was it uh carl righty kyle
Kyle O'Reilly had Pete Dunn and the hell was that leg lock called.
Whatever it's called, whatever his moves called, but basically a leg lock.
Somebody just yelled it.
Yeah.
When Carrying Cross came in and grabbed Kyle O'Ready,
yeah, he probably wasn't squeezing them like super hard.
You just got to make that face and shake to make it look like they're doing it.
But I don't know, it looked like he had him good under the neck because I wish they would have sold it better because if you remember right before Pete Dunn had grabbed.
He did that finger thing he does.
Yeah.
And he did it to carrying.
I wish they would have did like a different finish than he normally does and sell the fact that he couldn't like clasp his hands together because of his fingers.
Yeah, because, um, yeah, it's just, it was a little sloppy.
but um i mean
Kyle o'reilly sold it
because once his eyes started rolling backwards
and that's when i was like
all right this is it
i know this is not gonna end
yeah i kind of felt like carrying was asking it
because it looked like carrying was talking shit but i felt like at the same
time he was like are you really out you okay
because he was just laying their limp
yeah but
it was what it was it was still a good match though i mean i i
I enjoyed it.
I was hoping that it was going to be more.
Because this match was the longest towards the end.
But when it was all said and done, yeah,
Carrie and Ross ended up pulling it out.
What was that thing with the Regal at the end?
I guess everything's just been kind of out of control
with everybody fighting because they'd like him before this match.
Gargano was walking to the rain.
You could see Shotsie and Amber
were fighting Raquel.
I guess stuff like that's been going on during the
regular NXT shows.
And I guess he feels like he's not
able to handle it no more.
And what did he say?
Maybe it's time for a change.
Yeah.
I don't know if he's stepping down and somebody else is
stepping up or what or he's bringing somebody in.
This could be the Samoa.
Joe thing I was talking about.
Yeah, I was kind of hoping that
he was going to bring somebody in from outside
because he walks out into the parking lot
at the end. So I was hoping that
after he said what he said, he was going to turn
and then whoever was going to be standing there
and then, ah, I was ready to flip out,
but nah, that's not the case.
If he leaves for a while, maybe he did take a break
or whatever and Joe comes in, man, cool, right on.
So, but yeah, we'll see what's happening.
But, yeah, that, that was pretty much it.
I mean, these NXT guys and gals, they go fucking hard, hard as fuck.
I mean, even just during the regular shows.
But when it comes to the takeovers, I mean, they pull out all the stops and just go for it.
So I really loved it, man.
Who, Shotsie, those ponytails.
I was like, ooh.
And Dakota Kai, I'm all right with the pink hair, but I liked it when she had the just regular dark brown hair.
But who is his own?
But yeah, Shati in that green hair, yes, please.
And she's from Almeda.
She ain't from Oakland, but it's all right.
I'll let it slack.
She's hot.
Yeah, what was that wrestling league she was in?
The, it was kind of like the hood slam.
Yeah, that one.
It's going to what's going on.
down there. My brother's
friend, he knows her, because
they always went to hood slam.
Well, I need to know
her. Yeah, dude, once that
gets going again,
I'm not sure they haven't had it
because California's got different rules
on these type of things.
But, dude, once,
hopefully when we get back into the swing of things
and they start those up, dude, you should
come down because those
hood slam shows, even the
glam shows when it's just the women wrestlers,
and they go off in there.
Yeah, shit.
I'm trying to see maybe if I can make,
because of WrestleMania is supposed to be,
what, Dallas next year?
Yeah.
Trying to see if I can make that happen.
Yeah, dude, man, because I'm going for sure.
Definitely.
You should come down.
We can do the wrestling returns live from the weak-ass Cowboys Stadium.
No offense, Phil.
No offense.
All right.
Ryan, we got anything else when we get out of here?
No, great show.
I think the next big NXT thing is,
I think they're doing Great American Bash.
I think I saw advertisement.
Yeah, I was in that.
So maybe we'll cover it.
I don't know.
We're doing a lot and we're going to be doing a lot more.
So we'll see.
But no, great show was fully satisfied with this.
Whoever runs the creative team in W.D.
needs to learn.
That's all I could say.
They need to go over there and show them a thing or two.
I mean, again, it's two totally different,
three totally different brands,
but you can't have the beginner guys showing up all the main roster guys,
but that seems to be the case ever since NXT started.
I don't know.
we'll see how it goes but um we'll be back uh next week for a hell and a cell and i am not
excited at all i i think we're going to see some a conclusion to this uh thing with the uso's in
roman i hope so and i and i think we're going to like it all it was brock lesnar better not
come back oh he'll come back i know it because now that bobby's the
the champ they're going to do the
everybody wanted to see them in an
mima fight but now you can see them in
a you know wrestling match
it's it's gonna happen
yeah for having the summer slam
cool just to make it exciting
they'll come back when the belt
yeah well
well all right everyone
that's gonna be at this episode
do come back next week for
more of the wrestling return
damn I don't know how these bugs are getting in here
um
I think there's a gap in my screen for my window,
because that's the only thing I could think of.
Anyway,
aside,
go veering off into something else.
But yeah,
we'll be back next week for the WWE's hell and a cell.
So,
yeah,
as far as East Society,
we just dropped a new episode,
episode 2,
22,
so definitely check that out.
And I think that's as far as,
as far as us.
Yeah, that's it for East Society.
Just go and listen to that new episode.
Until then, everyone, just be safe out there.
We'll see you guys next time.
So until then, party on.
Over at the horror returns,
you're going to get some more commentaries.
We're going to do one for Father's Day when we do
I believe 1987's The Stepfather.
Action returns.
The next few episodes,
if you're going to get new releases,
2,001 releases.
The first one's going to be.
in infinite.
I hope I'm saying that right
because I could have been saying it wrong
this whole time.
THR presents stream fiends,
house party,
and like I told Nez,
I can really see us
doing the whole franchise
and bonus episodes
and yeah,
got a lot coming.
So until next time,
everybody be good to each other.
