And we are back. You heard that? This is going to be a crossover, everyone, since this, the movie we're going to be talking about horror and wrestling. You can't go wrong with that. So Brian is here with me, of course, because you know with the wrestling returns. But this was one that I didn't even know about it until today, actually, this morning when I was checking my emails. I got one from Netflix and oh, you might like this.

And I usually, I usually just erase them and not even read the emails from then. But I was like, all right, let's see. Maybe it's a new horror movie. And it was. And it was Escape the Undertaker. who's the undertaking you ask he's the phenome

he had one of the longest was it 24 and no or 24 and 1 or something like that WrestleMania I think it's like 24 and 2 now yeah

so oh man do you really think I mean I mean I know the story and Undertaker talking about it saying that he was pretty much

just not even there and don't even remember the match with Brock Lesnar I'm pretty sure he was supposed to win right? That's what I got from it. Everything was going the way it was supposed to and then he got

injured and then they had to switch it up which I don't agree with it I mean you could have you could have switched up the outcome but not to you know who was going to win but you know

it's fits this call yeah I mean because Taker was say like I don't I don't even know what was going on after I don't know he was taking those F5s and that was somebody probably don't have no idea what we're talking about

this is one of the matches at WrestleMania but yeah this one I was like what they made a movie I'm surprised they didn't throw it on peacock or whatever they're calling it now come on peacock you guys need to fix that man and do you get advertisements still no man they was killing me because I got it right before whatever the pay-per-view was and it was it was was just when it was live there was no

no interruptions no commercials but when I was watching the replay because I had missed the beginning I think it was a WrestleMania it was just commercial commercial commercial like right in the middle of the matches like it wasn't even a cut I was like no this this ain't working

so I upgraded I pay for premium and I still get commercials you do? Yeah I was watching a, I was watching a movie last night. And there was like four or five ads that popped up. Oh, hell no. I don't know. I've been,

I've just been watching the shows and I've never, I know I get one before the show starts, but I haven't had any. And then watching wrestling, nothing's ever. WWE on Peacock's trash. Yeah, I don't like it. I mean.

And the connection's bad on the paper views too. But yeah, we've got to talk wrestling, of course. But this one, of course, is 31 days or as well. So escape to Undertaker. The New Day wrestlers seek to survive the supernatural surprises at the Undertaker's spooky mansion in an interactive WWE-themed special. See, that was, I didn't. First of all, I didn't even know this movie was coming. and then watching it, I had no idea

it was going to be an interactive one, kind of like a choose your own adventure. There was a Black Mirror episode. I can't remember what it was called. I believe that was the first time. Bander snatch. Yeah, they had done that. So I was like, whoa, what the hell's happening?

And what is happening right now? because I click something and it's you're all kinds of stuff with the background all right clicked on the wrong thing

everyone I'm not going to IMDB I'm actually going the first synopsis I read was Google's now I'm going

to Netflix can the new day survive the surprises at the Undertaker Spooky Mansion it's up to

you to decide their fate in this interactive WWE themed special. All right. This stars, of course, The Undertaker and the New Day,

New Day, Big E. Power positivity. Yeah, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. All right, first of all, I mean, I love the New Day. I love all three of them in the ring, and I love Taker, of course. But these four gentlemen cannot act at all.

of course there's somewhat acting performing for us when they're after wrestling but I was kind of like I must never really pay attention to to Biggie when he talks but I don't know it just sounded where I know what Xavier was because I watch his YouTube channel

COVID Kingston we've been seeing him for years and all that so I was coming Yeah, they sound like they're like when you're watching these. They sound like promos, but yeah, like they're not trying. When they're doing the new day stick, yeah, it's cool. But when you were giving them dialogue, when things was going on in this, I was, I don't know, I wasn't buy. Biggie was the only one I wasn't buying it from.

I mean, Taker, he always does what he does and, you know, his all rest and peace and all that. And it was cool that they put in Paul Baer in this as well. He got some love in this episode. No, this, the movie's only 30 minutes long. It actually came out. We are recording this on October 5th or the last few minutes of October 5th. So it came out today. And are they going to do more?

Because right here it says first episode. If they do more, cool. But then, I know Vince, wants to get his money because I don't know if apparently they weren't making any money and all this and I thought they were making like record breaking money during this whole pandemic thing and now

that the WWE universe is back I don't know maybe I hear the networks are not pleased with their certain people getting released or the networks were quite upset

well there was never really no reasoning for letting some of them go i can understand maybe one or two but i don't know what's going on over there we've talked about this before on many other episodes i mean i i don't know what vint is doing i don't know uh who who's in charge of the storylines and i don't know just what they're i think they're they're just feeling the back or not the backlash, they're feeling the heat from AEW. Because AEW's got like the better product right now. They got the wrestlers that all have the talent and everyone's watching them. Someone goes, oh, kind of reminds me of the WCW thing.

Yeah, it does. And in a way it does. If you guys remember that, if you guys are old enough to remember the Monday Night Wars and everything. And I think also the AEW willing to cross promote with other promotions, like Impact and New Japan and Ring of Honor and all these NWA, all these other companies, I think that helps a lot. Yeah, so I don't know. I know Vince just wants to be the man in charge of everything and you can't go up against him

and his is the final say, but I think what's happening right now in the wrestling world. I mean, he's seen, I don't know if he's going to see the light. Will he do what he did with WCW and buy age? probably not. I don't think those guys are going to well in the cell. As much as money as they're making right now, but we'll see going forward with wrestling. But with this film, I thought it was cool.

The interactive thing was, I didn't know that was happening. I was just sitting there while I was watching this on my phone. And I was sitting there. And then at the bottom, who do you want to go with? Do you want to go with Biggie, Kofi, or Xavier? and I was like, wait, what? So I was like, cool. So I love Xavier Woods.

I've always liked him. So I kind of went with his storyline. Which story did you go with when they gave you that option, who would go with? I think it would. I think it was Woods. I think it was because there was one scene. I kind of felt like the selections weren't working because I had watched with my daughter and she knows

the new day but for some reason she thinks their name is Boudiots for some reason because that's the only thing she associates with them with but she wanted there was a scene like Xavier goes into the fog or stays with

the new day and she was like well of course don't go in the fog stay with the new day and we chose that one and then he walks into the fog and gets taken and so I think that's the storyline we were on but there was a couple times where I felt like the selections weren't working

okay because mine was I mean were you watching this on your TV yeah all right see I was mine work because I was watching it on my phone I was able just to touch the screen I guess I got to watch this a couple more times and then go with each other character yeah there's multiple endings the thing that I didn't like about this is it gives you like a time limit to what to decide which one you pick and if you don't pick one they just picked one for you but if you pick like right in the beginning that very first one I said who do you want to go with I picked Xavier Woods right in the middle of the scene it just cut and then went to his little I think

he went upstairs or went into the basement or something yeah and I was like okay and then when I was making my choices I remember I let the time out, time or run out. And then it just picked for me, a random one. And it went with Xavier. But that was just the picking thing. If you guys remember those old school books that choose your own adventure things, which I love. I don't know if they write those books anymore.

So it was pretty much like that. But the story to this was Undertaker was in his big mansion. And he had the special earn that had all kinds of power. Why did they want it? why were they why did they even go there it seemed like some of them wanted to be there but somebody was it Xavier that was like no we shouldn't be here and I didn't understand why they were there or

why they wanted to earn and if they get it what are they going to do with it that why they went there to I get the wolf It seems like they just wanted to just hang out with Undertaker and then they got sucked into all these adventures and then realized this urn

I was kind of I was a little confused on that story because this special earn that the Taker had for those for those you don't know wrestling Undertakers always held the urn and all that's and back in the day Paul Bear would come bringing it in.

And all that. If you guys remember all that. So he had, it was just the regular little gold earn that he was always associated with. But it had some purple lights around it. And he had this special little like lock

case that went around it. And they were figuring it out that they had to get these special keys to open it so they can, so they can get the earn. And again, I still don't understand why they needed this earn. And, oh, okay, now I'm remembering it just popped in my head. I don't know why they were there, but something happened to Big E and the urn took his soul.

And you had to unlock the earn. That's right. That's right. But why they were there, I have no idea. See, that was the thing that I was confused on Because I was going with Xavier I mean, because we were following him through his adventure But then when he got back to when the three of them got back together

That's when Big E was I don't feel good And he started throwing up like purple light or something And I was like I was in and I go Did I miss something? What happened? So that was I was thinking do I need to go back And pick all his activities? adventures because if you if you watch the trailer they show some crazy scenes in there and of course

you got it's you you choose your own adventure so I think I'm going to have to go back and watch it a couple times to pick each ones to see each one because there was um a flash that they showed in this but they showed a little bit longer version in the trailer of when uh I assume when you're picking a big E's character uh big E Lankson for those you don't know who he is just look up the new day. and it looked like he was like trapped and he had this thing over his head and there were spiders in it. And I was like, oh, hell no. I hate spiders.

So I was like, no, no, no. I mean, luckily it was just really quick, but then they showed it longer in the trailer. So now I'm like, all right, now I got to prepare myself to watch that. And then they were showing some Kofi stuff that wasn't in my adventure that I chose. So I'm like, man, you guys are kids. killing me. So now I got to go back and rewatch all those. And I want to say there was different endings

as well. Because it made it seem when you had that chance, you can pick the ending you want or pick another. I think there was either I want to say two, maybe three endings. I'm not sure,

but I'm pretty sure there was only two. They said it depends on your choices. the ending will be different. Yeah, so I was like, okay, because now I got to go back and rewatch it all and pick other adventures. If you're saying it didn't work good on the TV,

I'll probably just watch it again on my phone so I can. Yeah, I'm going to give it a try again on the TV. I don't know, maybe it wasn't, I just wasn't pushing fast enough because they really don't give you a lot of time because after you read both choices, you've got to pick one real quick. Yeah, because there's,

that little, I think it was a purple line under each choices or under however many choices there. And it goes hella quick. And I was like, because I was reading it all right, all right. And next thing, you know, it just went to another one. And I was like, fuck. And that's when I noticed I had that little time thing under it. So, but

again, each adventure is different. So, but so, yeah, so they were supposed to get the, the, the earn to get to stop whatever was happening to Big E. because there was an hourglass in there as well. And it was starting to lose all of sand or whatever.

It didn't look like sand. It looks like some kind of. It's busy. So. Yeah. So. Um, so I was like,

okay. I mean, this, it's all this. This story is all over the place only because you can choose your own adventure. And I liked it. I had a good time doing it.

And it just, and I was laughing at the, the comedy of the new day. I was hoping for an ending to where they were going to have to, like for some reason there's a ring in the basement of Taker's mansion and they were going to have to wrestle. I mean, they did fight. They were getting thrown around and Taker was choking him and everything, but he didn't do any of his tombstones or any of that type of stuff or the choke slams. None of that was going on. So I was, I was kind of. of hoping for something like that but you know who would have had a cool one of these if he was still

around uh the fiend didn't know that i'll say didn't they do i guess they did try they tried it with john sina i know yeah what i'm saying is if it was like interactive yeah i think that that would have been better because that's shit that they were doing and was that russomania when they did that i don't i don't call that russamania whatever that was him and john sina was terrible i didn't even like the taker and a j styles i like what they was doing in the the fain john sina but i would have preferred they had an actual match after

i know i mean i didn't know what was going on i mean it just seemed like a bad drug trip or i don't know But again, some of you probably, what the hell are they talking about? Wrestling. So, but I mean, this, again, hey, I'm not an actor either, but these guys, I don't know, mainly Big E. He wasn't selling it to me at all. Coffey and Xavier were.

And Taker, he does what he does. I did like the part when it was towards the end. and when they were going to get ready to fight him before Biggie he found this little it was like a little potion bottle and it said power because when they were looking for

clues and they were looking for the key he found this book and he opened it and they had it inside it so he just all right with that thing when you see that little violin in that book it gave you the choice does he take it or does he leave it I took it so he just put it in his pocket. So I assume somewhere down the line,

they give you another option to where he keeps it. Or I don't know. But so, yeah, because when they were all fighting, when Taker was just throwing them all over the place. And I did like how he levitated. It looked cheesy, but it was funny. It was fun to watch. I mean, you can clearly see he was like some kind of harness thing.

because he held his hands out like he does, and the electricity was coming out of his hands, and he started hovering, and they were like, oh, what the fuck? Well, they weren't saying F-bomb, but they were like,

what the fuck? And all this, because they were fighting each other. He had to be in the ocean, so he was able to get the, uh, the earn and save his soul and stop the undertaker from trying to take him. And then there was,

see when it got to the ending that I chose like I said earlier like as soon as you push the button it boom it goes right to that scene so with the scene that I was watching I didn't get to finish that scene it just cut the next thing you know they were outside and the sun was coming up

and I'm like how man we did it it's a new day and they go walking down the road and I was I was like man who designed this and I mean I don't know I wish they would at least let the scene play out before it would just cut and go

to the little adventure you chose. This is production company WWE Studios. All right. It wasn't Netflix. No Netflix. Just threw their name on it and put it out.

But again, this is there's probably, there's a couple different endings and there's totally different adventures for all of them. So that was just the adventure that I took. I mean, Brian might have took a different one with different turns. But I'm going to go back and rewatch this again and pick the ones I didn't pick. I mean, if you're going to do like I'm going to do, you might have to watch this a few times to pick and see every situation that's going on in this.

But, I mean, but for what it was, I mean, Escape the Undertaker, I thought it was cool. it was a good idea to to use Undertaker put some money in his pocket and the new day I think they picked three good guys to at least give you the adventure and give you the comedy

along with it because if you guys know the do they do the new day the power of positivity and it's cool I mean I thought they did what they did because I was sitting there thinking when I was watching this what if it wasn't the new day who else could have sold this.

The Miz and Johnny Drip, drip. That's what I was just about to say. Those two could have done it. I don't think he's Johnny Drip, drip, no more. No, but they could have sold it, mainly the Miz. I mean, he does what he does. Yeah, and throw Kane in there.

Yeah, where's he at? He's the governor of wherever he's from. Yeah, he can throw a mask back on. again, then they get in there. But if they do more of this, um, maybe another adventure of Undertaker, I don't know, but throw the boogeyman in there.

Yeah, because I'm trying to think who, if they don't use Undertaker and they try to make another one of these things who, who could they use? Well, they don't have the fiend anymore. Um, I would say, Alexa Bliss and then like one of the other female wrestlers but I think they're going to

change her character so yeah that's what I was about to say aren't they kind of yeah by this time next year I think she'll be back to her original so I don't probably sooner I won't like her anymore I mean I guess if you want a character wise I guess they could uh well I was to say a Nikki ASH. I don't know what you can do there. I'm trying to think of like character. Back to Hurricane. I guess you can use Ria Ripley and have her be the

the bad character or whatever. And I don't know. I just want to see her. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe this is just a one and done thing. But for what it was, I did enjoy it. And I think the younger WWE universe fans, I think if you'll watch this and you'll love it and you'll probably watch it again and again. And of course, all the other wrestling fans that are still a part of the WWE universe. I know a lot of guys. guys are like, ah, this is terrible. The products,

no good. I'm out of here. I'm going to AEW. Right and there back and forth. But yeah, WWE is, is kind of losing me. I'll still watch the pay-per-views,

and I have peacocks, and why not? I love going to the live events. They're always fun. I mean, just to go there and just hoot and hollering and act dumb for three or four hours. But,

again, this escaped the Undertaker, I enjoyed it. I liked what they did here. And using the Undertaker, especially for the month of October, with the horror vibe, I did like all the old footage they threw in of Undertaker. They didn't just use the 90s and today's stuff. They went all the way back to the beginning with the 80s Undertaker. That's weird.

Make up under his eyes. like he hadn't had any sleep. Yeah. Oh, they could use, I just thought of it, the, the demon, can use him. But isn't he a good demon?

You can write it to where he's like something, something happens and he turns into the demon and you got to get away from him or get out of, I don't know, I'm not a writer. Yeah, I mean,

the fiend would have been perfect for something like this. Who knows? They don't have these off-the-wall crazy characters like they used to. No. It's just gone with Bray. Because if it wasn't a fiend, you could have did like the Wyatt family. Yeah, they could have did all that.

I don't know, everyone. We're overthinking right now. But for this, it was what it was. I do like that idea, Alexa Bliss, but yeah, they're getting ready. She's ready to change back to her old self. I mean, they didn't really even. I liked what was going on with her and Bray and everything when all that was happening. And that's what made her all wacky and crazy.

But then they cut him so they had to stop that. And then. Was that wrestling? I don't know. I think so. That was garbage. I don't think everyone is buying what's going on now with her. So maybe that's why they're going to go away from her

and then she'll go back to her normal character. But I thought she was getting more of a push now on what she's doing with her character or the thing. Well, she got written off TV because I read she's having sinus surgery or something. So we won't see her for, I don't know how long it takes to recover from that, but whatever time it takes, that's how long she'll be

gone. Oh, man. I want some of the revenge match. She'll probably come back and they'll never explain why she was supposedly, I'm doing air quotes, foaming at the mouth and going crazy, they'll probably just never explain that.

She'll just come back to normal. Yeah. I don't like that. I like this new version, But I don't know. I'm not in charge of it all. All right, everyone. Yeah, if you got Netflix, definitely check out Escape the Undertaker. Little guys can watch it.

There's no bad language. There's really no blood or gore or anything in there. There's a lot of flashy and weird imagery. That's about it. Yeah, something to do with the family. Yeah, if you guys want to watch something. And yeah, and if everyone gets enjoying it, you can do the interactive stuff. But again, you got to be quick.

You can't just willy-nilly and then because it's going to pick for you. So I wonder if I just turn it on and watch it and let it just pick whatever, which direction it would go. Who knows?
