Starting point is 00:00:00 What do you so scared of, bro? I see you turn off the screen every time I come in the room. Promise me that you won't ever say anything about this. Fine, I cross my heart, Henry, all right? These are my friends. What side is this? This is no sight. This is all life.
Starting point is 00:00:15 Do they know? Of course not. You've hacked into their web games. I'm like they're already an angel. What's a handle? No, promise me you'll leave them alone. They go up to her room and a guy never comes out. She cooks them and she serves them.
Starting point is 00:00:30 You can't be serious. One and a half devils. Two and a half. My dad was at least two. Fuck were you, huh? You're not a dismission. You're a little devil, aren't you? Yeah, he is.
Starting point is 00:00:49 I know you're watching me a fucking pervert. I'm going to find you, and I'm going to turn you into dog food. No. Are you okay? That's a nightmare. You're having a nightmare. I think I deserve to see him. I've been spying me.
Starting point is 00:01:11 I promise to be able. If I come back. Please. Henry? All right, everybody. Welcome back to another bonus episode. I'm your host Brian. With me, as always, my brother, Nez.
Starting point is 00:01:36 What's up, man? I'm good, man. Oh, excuse me. I'm sorry, everyone. Fire's still going. So, just trying to. get everything situated. So that's why everything's
Starting point is 00:01:50 coming late and everything. But we're here for 2021's eye without a face. Did not have anything pulled up unless you do. I got you. Let's
Starting point is 00:02:06 of course go with the Googles. An agoraphobic young man who is living with a YouTuber and struggling actor hacks the webcams of young women and suspects oh my god I can't talk
Starting point is 00:02:22 suspects that one of them is a serial killer okay let's go to IMDB which is same thing so let's go this stars Dakota
Starting point is 00:02:42 Shapiro Luke Cook Vladda Veravko Sorry everyone This is where I start to butcher names Rebecca Berg Ashley Elise Rogers Evangeline Newry
Starting point is 00:02:58 Patrick Zeller Was that there That many people in this movie That's it all I'm sorry Where did all these people come from Spencer Trinwith
Starting point is 00:03:08 Daniel Hope Auburn And so on This is directed And written by Ram Ramam ram and Yammy I hope I said your name right sir I believe you
Starting point is 00:03:28 liked and retweeted when we posted the trailer and the poster so if you're listening I apologize Nez what did you think well first of all shout out to Gravitus Ventures is that what it is I'm sorry
Starting point is 00:03:44 um just yeah thank you so much for sending us these screeners. This film doesn't come out until October. Sorry for my voice, everyone. I was at SummerSlam screaming, so it's still kind of hoarse. But I was out of face.
Starting point is 00:04:04 I didn't watch any trailers. I didn't read anything on this, so I just, you know what? Let me just click play and go. I like this movie. I mean, I thought it was cool. I really like the characters Eric Cook
Starting point is 00:04:22 or Luke Cook as Eric He was my favorite He was hell of buddy Every time he came on the screen I thought he was badass Yeah I didn't think at first I was gonna like him But he grew on me Yeah I thought he was just gonna be some
Starting point is 00:04:40 Some asshole I didn't even realize that He was his roommate Because Henry Dakota Shapiro was living in a house and what's a goreph, whatever. Goraphobic. It's, uh, I think, uh, you have a fear leaving your house. It's kind of like, uh, it's, uh, what's that movie, uh, copycat, the Sigourney Weaver.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Oh, that's what she had in the movie. Well, she didn't, that was only because of the, what happened to her is why she didn't want to leave, but all right. I, well, there is some backstory. to Henry's character on why the way he is. He was dealing with, I think, an abusive father. That part kind of bugged me. I mean, not in a bad way, more of like, I don't like seeing child abuse, especially in films.
Starting point is 00:05:37 I know it's a movie and everything, but growing up with the things that I've seen, it just bothers me. But I can always put it to the side and, okay, well, this is just a movie, so let me, let me get through it. But I felt for him in that, in that perspective. But, I mean, what was going on? At first, I was like, wait, what's happening here? Because Henry is watching these women, which I thought they were just like live streamers and just streamed everything that they do.
Starting point is 00:06:09 But then we find out that Henry is a hacker. and he hacked into these women's their cameras on their computers and then I'm like, oh, okay. So it kind of had that that rear window vibe, like, not the Superman one. The original, Alfred Hitchcock one.
Starting point is 00:06:34 How he was just looking out the window, watching everything that was going on, but he was, took it to like a creepy level to where he hacked these girls' computer cams and was watching them. But I would say that it wasn't as creepy because it was, I don't know, I mean, it's wrong hacking into it, but the way he was doing it, like, there was certain times when the ladies would get undressed and he felt like he couldn't look, he would have to look away.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Yeah, I mean, he would, I mean, it was creepy, but not like in a sick old sex pervert, creepy yeah because he actually felt like these were his friends even though he's never talked to him and he's hacking into their cameras watching him i think he was watching like three or four there was one girl that was like um a singer another one was an actual live cam girl pay me and i'll do whatever uh you tell me to do and the other one she seemed like more of a sophisticated um upskilled woman that just kind of lived on her own but lived live the highlight um I liked I think that out of the one the girls he was watching I like the one that was um that the singer one that was kind of going through some um I don't think she was
Starting point is 00:07:58 married but some relationship issues I like that oh bad for her yeah I did man I was like man oh her boyfriend or whatever motherfucker. I mean, was he married and we're just messing around with that? I think that's that without really give him too much away. I think maybe she was a side chick. And he was paying for stuff. Yeah. So, I mean, that that's pretty much the story of Henry just watching these, uh, these three women. And then Eric was his roommate that just kind of came in and just wanted to party and hang out with Henry. He always brought him coffee and breakfast. And breakfast.
Starting point is 00:08:43 And then this, the story can, I mean, the things we're going to talk about are, it's all in the trailer. He starts watching Laura, Alita, Vera Vico,
Starting point is 00:08:55 I think that's anything. Rev. Rev. Sure. Sorry, I'm butching everyone's name. That's what we do. So.
Starting point is 00:09:01 When he was watching her, it seemed like she was more, um, sinister character of, what she was doing, seeing different men, and then always giving them drinks. And, I mean, his mind was just going wild on what he was watching with her.
Starting point is 00:09:21 Again, this is what's in the trailer. So he's kind of thinking that she's up to no good. And then so he's like, hard. He can't stop watching her. So are you kidding? I think it was mainly her because he would like turn it off and then go back to it again to see. The thing that,
Starting point is 00:09:40 I learned from this movie is I would the way my computer is if someone's watching me right now there's two middle fingers for you but um my computer is facing a wall so it can't see anything else but
Starting point is 00:09:58 um I was like man I mean these women I know I understand the one woman that does things on cam uh for her customers um but I I don't know, man. That's what I was getting out of this.
Starting point is 00:10:13 I was like, man, it's just weird. Because I know when we first got a computer with a camera on it, webcam, my wife stuck like a post-it over it. And she was like, I don't know. I just feel like someone, someone's watching me. I'd do the same thing. So, seeing way too many movies. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:33 So, I mean, again, someone's watching me. You're just seeing a bunch of movies behind me and you can't see anything else. But yeah, I was like, man, that was creepy. And I don't know the whole tech side of hacking into webcams and everything, but I'm pretty sure if someone is on, I don't know if you can hack into it. I don't know. That's just my knowledge and movies and things I read. But this movie was good, man.
Starting point is 00:11:03 I didn't get bored at any time. I mean, I felt for him. Henry on the being being abused by his father and Eric was just funny every time he was on screen. He was the life of the party. And I felt, I think, Lena, I think that Rebecca Berg, I think that was the one that was going through the issues with her boyfriend. The singer. Yeah. I felt sorry for her.
Starting point is 00:11:32 And Laura, the upscaled one, she just seemed. It just seemed like a bitch. I mean, there was more to her character as a movie went along, but I don't want to get into it. But I think Tessa, the other one, I mean, the struggle is real. I mean, you got to get your side hustles on. And so, I mean, nothing against anyone that does that. I mean, cool, more power to you. And if you can get guys to pay you to do whatever, hey, man, go for it.
Starting point is 00:12:02 But, yeah, but other than that, I mean, I liked what was going on in this. It got creepy at times. It got really suspenseful once the situation in the film started going. And I know this was a, I think it was a low-budget film. I'm not really sure. But I like the setting of it. Mainly of it was just him in his room watching these women on his computer. I mean, every now and then he went outside, but nothing really.
Starting point is 00:12:34 but then there was a lot of the flashbacks of him dealing with his father and everything. And it seems like he had, um, not quite insomnia, but there was something going on inside of his head. So, but he took a lot of different things in this movie to cut asleep. Yeah. I mean,
Starting point is 00:12:55 but overall, I thought the film was good. Um, I really liked it. Um, I actually watched it twice. So, I mean,
Starting point is 00:13:02 because I was like, all right, once it was done, I let, let, Let it kind of sink in for a minute and then I'll let me watch it again to see if my If I was right on what I was doing, but that would lead into the spoiler territory and I don't want to I don't want to do that yet because I believe this is going to be released for streaming and everything sometime in October
Starting point is 00:13:25 So but I know some people have seen it already because I do see I've seen a review on YouTube about a guy that was talking about it and He actually liked it as well. So, but I mean, overall, I thought it was a really good film. I loved how they made it. I thought the cinematography was good. It wasn't, I mean, I've seen some indie movies that just weren't shot very good. But this one, I thought they did a really good job on what the directors, the director, well, he's the writer as well. I mean, his vision of what we want, he wanted us to see.
Starting point is 00:14:00 I liked how he did it. his camera positions, especially at the end when it was getting all exciting. I liked how he did his camera work there with the cinematographers and everything. And I thought it sounded good. I was listening to it with my headphones on.
Starting point is 00:14:16 So it sounded really good. I guess that's all I can say. But I really enjoyed this film. I thought it was awesome. Yeah, I agree with you. I enjoyed the cast in it. I like the setting for a lower budget movie.
Starting point is 00:14:37 They took what they had and they made it work with the whole agoraphobic thing and he couldn't leave the house. So you don't really need much for different settings. And of course, he's watching these women on through their webcams and stuff. So I like what they were doing there. There was just a lot of people that I just kind of felt for in this movie, including Henry. You know, I mean, he was doing something wrong, but at the same time, I just, I just kind of felt for him the fact that, you know, he, he has this condition. He can't leave and he's watching these women and he's looking at them like they're his friends, but, you know, realistically, they're not his friends and he's all alone. I mean, well, besides Eric, who kind of a kind of a good dude right there, you know, he's bringing him breakfast every morning and hooking him up with, you know, some stuff to help him.
Starting point is 00:15:33 calm his nerves, which I kind of appreciated that. My one issue, I agree with everything you said, Ness, but my one issue is I kind of saw one of the little twists that came at the end. I kind of saw it coming, and then when it happened, it kind of took it, took me out of it just a little bit. But overall, I thought this was a solid job as far as, directing and writing and yeah definitely check this out when when it comes out yeah I mean I liked I mean the the twist I also I mean I saw where it was going but there was something else that I was thinking I mean that was why I watched it again and I was
Starting point is 00:16:24 wrong but um I man I said spoiler territory but um Eric what I really liked about him other than he was funny and it was awesome. I liked that he was trying to help Henry in some degree of like, hey man, let's let's go out or whatever. He was just, he knew the situation on how Henry was and he was just trying to get Henry to come out of his show and everything. They did a great job because when you first meet him, you think he's just going to be somebody that's taken advantage of him.
Starting point is 00:17:01 But, you know, at the end of the day, you know, he wasn't really like that. He was trying to help him. Yeah. So I liked what was going on. There was some, some creepy stuff because there's a character. I mean, I think they show on the trailer. I don't remember, but there's someone, a hooded character with like a red devil mask. I thought that was really creepy on who this character was.
Starting point is 00:17:27 I was like, whoa, what's going on here? So, but then it kind of led into some. flashbacks and that's that I think that was what was bugging me of knowing people that went through issues with abusive parents and I mean my parents mean they raised us the best she could remember they didn't like beat us and and do mean things to us if we got spanked it was because we were fucking up so but um it just seemed like what happened to Henry with his father just really messed his head up to where he just didn't want to go outside and didn't,
Starting point is 00:18:06 didn't want to just socialize. I mean, um, you, I mean, he, he probably had some, a little bit of issue.
Starting point is 00:18:15 I mean, I mean, not, not issues, but, um, he was at least able to let Eric come in. I don't know if he knew him forever or he just needed to,
Starting point is 00:18:24 to rent a room, uh, in his house. So Eric, probably the one that came in, but, I think he still had that, little bit okay I know I'm gonna stay in the house but I at least need some kind of
Starting point is 00:18:36 reaction with the social reaction with somebody so that was probably the reasons why they didn't go in any of this this was just me thinking about it but I mean everyone in it I mean I felt further for for for them there wasn't anyone in it at the end of the main people that were a part that was moving the story along I'm like I hate this person I hate that person not because there's there's many times where we watch movies like I hate this dude or I hate that girl. But I mean, I liked everyone in it. I mean, I felt sorry for Lena or Lena, I think, however he say her name, Rebecca Burke's
Starting point is 00:19:12 character. I felt sorry for her on what she was going through because I was getting mad like, oh, man, like her boyfriend or whatever he was on how he was not really physically. I guess he was a little physical abuse to her, but mentally. I think he was messing with her head. So I felt sorry for her in that aspect. But overall, I thought Henry really sold his role Dakota Shapiro. I thought he really did a good job.
Starting point is 00:19:43 And I've never seen any of these actors and anything else. So I'm going to keep an eye on. And the Dakota Shapiro, I want to see what else he can do. So if anyone knows, I guess I can just look up to see what else he's been in and try to find it. But overall, again, I was out of face. I thought it was a really good movie. It moved pretty good. It wasn't, I mean, there wasn't any times where I was like, okay.
Starting point is 00:20:12 I mean, come on, pick up. But I liked what was going on. I mean, it didn't seem very long. I think it was only an hour and a half or something like that. Yeah, moved really good. Yeah. So, I mean, because sometimes these type of movies are like just slow burns. and then at the end there's no good payoff.
Starting point is 00:20:32 But, I mean, I thought it was good. I mean, yeah, I kind of saw what was coming, but I still liked how they all wrapped up the whole thing. So, but, I mean, it's only an hour and 38 minutes. So, yeah, I mean, once this film comes out, definitely, if you guys like these type of, they have it down as a horror thriller. I would add suspense to that as well, because they did get a little suspenseful towards the end.
Starting point is 00:20:57 Or even when the things were happening, with the webcams. I was like, oh, okay. But, I mean, overall, I really enjoyed this film. All right. This is, I'm seeing here, this is August 10th as a release date. I don't know if this was a wide release or. I thought it was coming out in October.
Starting point is 00:21:25 I don't know. I will double check and I would definitely let everybody know. once again, thank you, Gravitus Ventures, and everybody that sends us these screeners to check out. Really appreciate it. Definitely did not think we would get to this point where anybody would send us anything to watch. So it's definitely a good time.
Starting point is 00:21:53 I'm looking right. I'm on Amazon right now. It is out, everyone. Okay. You can rent it on Amazon for, $499 or you can buy the movie for $1299. But definitely check this just film out. I really enjoyed this one.
Starting point is 00:22:10 And shout out to Gravituz Ventures again for letting us watch this. But if this, you guys come across this film, definitely give it a chance and give it a watch. All right. Anything else? No, that's it. But yeah, watch this movie if you guys can find it or rent it. All right. Until next time, everybody stay safe.
