Guard states to note to engage in many civilians. Use your goddamn head. Back to another bonus episode. This is a THR ESP bonus episode. Going to get into another screener that we got sent. Which one is it? A necropath. I believe this is from Gravitous Adventures.

But first, I'm your host Brian. With me. It's my brother, Naz. My co-host, Nez. What's up, man? I'm good, man. Just, yeah, this was a little movie. Yes, it was.

Man, it says 2021, and then I'm on IMDB. It says 2018, so did they sit on it for a while? You know what? I've been trying to find that out. I did read something that this was, I don't know, of this was three short films put together or if it was remade from the three short films that were put together. I'm not quite sure. So I get into a quick synopsis, really quick, because this is kind of lengthy on here.

Encompassing many elements relating to the issues happening in today's world, the grindhouse style piece tells of a mysterious virus play. and pharmaceutical drug conspiracy, that erupts over a city causing a pandemic in the midst. There's so many pandemic movies. In the midst of the chaos, a mentally deranged maniac seeks to fulfill

continuous addiction and vengeful murdered despite the imminent demise of society happening around him. The story leads to a family being destroyed, leaving an event, abandoned little girl to save her baby sister. Necropath is directed by Joshua Reale. Apologize.

Ness. All right. What did you think? Before we dive in, This is what IMDB says. The mentally deranged maniac stalks victims to fulfill his drug addiction and sedate psychosis until he becomes the victim of an unexpected invasion of the undead. This is a prototype film to be used to present for future larger production.

Okay. You know what? We kind of talked off Mike about it, but we're going to hit that spoiler warning now. because I don't think there's any other way to really get into it. Yeah, that synopsis really kind of, it does give you the gist of it, but I just, I don't know, maybe it was because I didn't know if there was a virus or plague going on. I thought the undead was coming back to life or the dead coming back to life and coming after people. I think the one thing that really threw me off was the main I guess what are they calling him the maniac murderer

I didn't know what was going on with his character because he's essentially is just chaos going on this basically it's basically it's the apocalypse going on and this guy is robbing people I okay I'm going to know according to this he's he's trying to get high so i i don't know how high you're trying to get when all this is going on and yeah i i just i was so lost and confused in this one was the main guy mo isa i would say so because on i mdb he's listed as scagg yeah i love these the names they got for uh the cast um zombie crawler mother lost girl crack hag father of business uh main zombie skag and christian boy okay um i like the crack hag one i assume that was that one that was going give me the baby

yeah that was i didn't like i didn't like her i didn't that that wouldn't creep me out but um all right if this is supposed to be something to help them, I assume get funding for their next project. All right. I think, okay, if people pay to see this. All right. I probably would have if I watched the trailer.

And I'll go see this because I just like weird movies. This movie was weird. It's labeled horror thriller. Yeah, the horror element with the undead and everything. and it's more of a drug trip yeah maybe that's what they were going for since this guy they said he's trying to fund his addiction maybe this is through his eyes

or something I don't know maybe I'm trying to get too deep into it yeah yeah I mean I thought the special effects were good the gore and the blood and gore I thought that was cool um the main guy, Skagg, he just looked creepy. He was all super skinny and cracked out looking and just drug scars all over him. He was a heroin addict because they show him shooting up.

And I, yeah, I don't really know what was happening other than, I guess if you listen to the, radio broadcast that was coming over the the radio. I was kind of like, okay. I mean, I had to rewind it and listen to it because I was about a half hour in. I was like, what the fuck is going on in this movie? I mean, so I had to restart it and watch it because I was watching it at work. And as I was working and just listening, there isn't very much. much dialogue in this.

No. It's, when there is times, there is talking, but there's no explanation on what's going on because what comes over with the radio is like,

I think it was like National Guard service and stay away from these people that are acting weird or whatever. But I was like, okay, that's kind of explaining, but there was no explanation

on what was causing the, the undead. I didn't know if they were dead or just, I don't know, because they, they were, these zombies, or I guess they were, they were talking and they, like, they didn't like, like, if you, regular zombies, Romero zombies, walking dead type of zombies, where they're just mindless and don't know what's going. And these ones could think. So. Yeah. It almost kind of, what is that David Cronenberg movie? it almost kind of reminded me of them.

Was it shivers? I don't remember. I've seen that. Or is a rabbit. Rabbit or shrived? Yeah. Yeah. Kind of reminded me like that.

Yeah. These people, I mean, it looks like they put most of the special of the makeup effects are makeup on Skagg, because he looked really creepy. Did he, did they just put some? something over his front teeth, his top front teeth?

Or was he really just all gums? I don't know because this is, he, he went all out for his look. I don't know. Yeah, I was lost. I don't know how high he was getting, but there was at times when people were coming up biting him and all kinds of stuff and he's, he's just going. He is looking for the next person to rob so he can get high.

Yeah, I didn't know. was he one of the undead or what? Because he got shot hell at times and fell down and then got up and then just kept on moving. And I like I said, these undead were thinking. Again, I don't

know if he died and he was still just keep coming back to life because he was talking and loading guns and I was like, okay, what's happening here? But I mean, just to run through it really quick, the beginning we see this scad guy

he's just I love the way they shot it especially when the camera was all over the place and we don't really know what's happening other than he just needs his fix and he shoots up and then he

kind of just goes nuts and then ah and then goes outside and then we see this guy and this girl in a car she's about to get down and go down on him and then this is when you hear

the the radio broadcasts. You kind of hear just like a warning and okay, this is going on. And then the guy turns the radio off. But off in the distance, you see Skagg walking around and coming towards them. While that girl is downstairs doing what she's doing, the guy has his head back and Skag comes up and like just stabs him in the throat. It doesn't really make much noise.

And either that girl is just deaf or. I don't know. She kind of comes up for air. And then she's that guy. And he's bloods gushing out of his neck. And Skagg just reaches in and grabs that lady's purse. And then he didn't kill her, did he? I don't think so.

I think he got what he needed. Yeah, he grabbed a person, took off. And then we're next. We're introduced to a lady and her son. This seems like they were like in the industrial. warehouse area of whatever city this is and anywhere USA. Yeah, they

look like they totally shouldn't have even been in that area of town. Yeah, I was like, why are you guys here? Because there's like homeless living dead walking around. So I'm assuming this would be mother and Christian boy.

I guess. They, Skag runs up on them and tries to rob him and then she her and her son run off somehow they get into a warehouse

an abandoned warehouse and then there's a I know there's one crawler zombie on the ground or they kind of battled it out a little with some zombies outside

one of them bits gag and he just kind of shoved them off and the mom and the boy are running around in this warehouse trying to just hide and then they come across a police officer I didn't

Is that what he was? I thought he was a security guard or something Oh well I don't know if he was either a cop or security guard But whatever he was I mean he had a gun But then again I'm like why are you trying to secure this old warehouse To have a crack den So I don't know I thought he was a cop I mean I don't know

I mean, he didn't say much at all. Yeah, it's just so hard to pinpoint things in this movie. Is this like going on everywhere or they just happen to be in a very, very bad part of town? I don't know. I assume it was going on everywhere. And again, we don't know what caused it. So that lady is running around there with a son. They meet up the security guard, cop.

whatever he is. The lady gets bit by one of the zombies in there. And she's, I think she kind of realizes, all right, I'm infected or I'm done. I don't know. There wasn't much dialogue.

And she goes upstairs and then gets attacked by more zombies and I think Skag came running in because he, I don't know why he was chasing them because he just kind of just appears. Well, he gets to the warehouse and then gets in. And I don't know why he was chasing them, because I know she went upstairs to see. I don't know why she went upstairs, really.

And then you hear her screaming, ah, scag gets her, the zombies get her. And then she comes back downstairs. and she's hugging her son and her son's like, oh, well, he's not talking. I mean, I'm surprised he's not going, Mommy, something. But she starts hugging him, and then she kind of just keels over and dies.

And he's crying. And this is when the security guard that never says anything walks up on her. And then she, like, comes back to life. She's about to bite her son. And he blasts her in the head. And then that little boy gets mad and grabs a knife and stabs the security.

security guard in the leg and he goes down and then some zombies come walking in and here comes Skag And I was like What the fuck is going on here? Skag attacks that security guard Or police, whatever he is And then

The security guard just starts Letting off rounds And one of them hit that boy Because he doshy He drops Um And Skag gets At least shot four times

And then he gets up and keeps coming. So he's the security guard cop, whatever, he's laying there. He crawls to the wall. He's looking around. See the zombies coming. There's one crawling on the ground. And then I assume that's the main zombie, the guy that was walking. And Skag is kind of all crazy looking.

And that guy just like can't, I assume he just can't deal with it. So he blows his brains out. So the mom, the boy's dead. The police officer, security guard, whatever, he's dead. Skag's still kind of walking around. Then we go to a father of business. I assume it was that dude. And his wife, his daughter, and their little baby.

And again, I guess they said they were on the way to some stadium or something. I assume that was supposed to be the safe area to meet. Oh, this is the shitty guy. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I'm trying to remember who this character was. He was an asshole.

Oh, yeah. I was like, again, I was like, why didn't you get, don't you guys have a car? Maybe they ran out of gas or I don't know. There was no explanation. And well, I guess they were going to that stadium. They kept saying, we've got to go this way. This is the way. Come on, come on.

But he was just talking hell of shit. And the mom and the daughter were scared. and I don't know. Then he stopped and pulled a gun out of his briefcase. And then he was like, this is going to help us get there and this and that. And the wife was like, put that away. You don't need that.

And then he kind of turns on her, I'm sick of you. I know I shouldn't have got married or something to that, to that nature. And the daughter was just sitting there. And the baby's kind of making some noise, crying around. But then here come some zombies.

They're walking. out of the darkness and oh that's when that uh um crack hag that that that fat chick him walking up and give me the baby and i was like what the fuck is going on and this guy's got a gun but doesn't doesn't use it he's just pointing and pointing and more zombies come and that guy just kind of know the daughter and the mom and they kind of ran off because that father business dude was trying to push the zombies away and then he ends up running after them where are you guys going and they goes we're supposed to go this way and then here comes skag and I don't know what was happening here they ran down this alley for some reason

there's a lot of poor decisions a lot so the crack hag grabs the mom and was just trying to get her. The dad is dealing with Skag. He, no, no, no. Skag didn't show up here. He was dealing with some zombies. And then he started shooting just random shots. He hits the mom.

She dies. And then some zombies jump on her and then start biting her. The daughter goes and hides behind the garbage cans. The baby's laying right there. And you hear that other crack hack, give me the baby. And she kind of gets up and walks away with the baby. scag comes and starts dealing with father business and then he's got a knife and he ends up stabbing the dad

and then he falls over and then he's looking around he takes his gun and then he opens up his briefcase and it's like full of money but and that's what he was doing he was looking for money to buy more drugs I don't know why he didn't take all that money because it was like just tons of cash in there but he takes the gun and then there's some random bullets laying around there and he puts him in his pocket and that. And that's something else, too.

Like, he's constantly robbing people to get high, but you never see him go buy any drugs. Yeah. So, so after that dude, guys, and he kind of just, Skag just kind of walks off. The girl comes out of hiding, and she's like, Dad, Dad, she's trying to wake him up and sees that he's dead.

she pulls the knife out of his chest and then she kind of walks off and she's here comes Skagg he's coming and I think he went at the girl because she was standing there and then when she looked back her dad sat up and Skagg shot him in the head that he fell back down

and I don't know why he kept putting in like one bullet at a time he didn't just load the gun up. And I was like, wait, and what's going on? And I don't know if there was a problem. I'm trying to extend that runtime. I guess. And I didn't know if there was a problem with the gun because he kept going acting like it wouldn't fire.

And then it would just, it would go off. And I was like, okay, what's, I still didn't get what was happening. So the rest of the movie from here on, he's scagg is chasing that girl because he wants his knife back. Give me the knife. Give me a knife. And what do you need a knife for? You got a gun.

So she runs back in. She gets into the warehouse where I don't know if it was the first warehouse they went in because wherever they were. She went in one. She was following the crack hag because she was holding the baby. So she kind of followed her. Goes into a room to the room. She finds her. She's sitting on the ground.

The baby's laying there. and there's like syringe needles all over the place. And that girl kind of creeps in, grabs the, was it a boy or girl? I don't know. I think it was a girl. But you could clearly see it was a doll. They didn't even try to hide it.

So she grabs her little sister or whatever. And then that crackag lady kind of comes to and she stabs her with a knife, and then she still jumps up and comes after her. So that girl's running around. Then there's a few more zombies running around in this warehouse. She's trying to hide from the crack hag, because she's still walking around.

Look for that. I'm giving you a baby. And then here comes Skagg. And I was like, I guess he was after that girl because he wanted his knife back. And I was like, all right. So the girls running, trying to hide, battling with the zombies,

trying to hide from Skag, trying to hide from the crack hag. And then there's a big showdown at the end. Skag comes in. He cuts or he shoots the crack hag. She kind of goes down and he ends up cutting her head off. Here comes the other main zombie guy and he attacks Skag. Skag is shooting.

I think he killed that zombie. But during all this fighting, Skag got bit in the ankle. And so he wasn't even limping around or anything. He was still running around. And then he... Yeah, he's been shot multiple times, bit multiple times, and he's just going.

Yeah. And he got stabbed by the girl because she stabbed them in the back or kind of off to the side. Yeah, that's right. I jumped to him. head. When Skag was walking around looking for, I assume that girl, he goes into that room where

the crack hag was. And there's all kinds of those needles are still laying on the floor. So he just kind of lays down. He starts just picking up random needles sticking him in his arms and trying to get high but there's nothing in it. I'm like, I'm surprised he didn't die because it looked

like he was pumping in air into his veins. Because he did it. Go ahead. Okay. I'm reading something here maybe the reason why he's so invested, well, he's a drug addict, but the reason why I think he needs the drug so much, I guess he's supposed to be infected like everyone else.

Maybe this is what's keeping him somewhat, I don't want to say normal, but not fully turned. I guess maybe the heroin was... I'm trying to make sense out of it. Yeah, I... Because he... got bit a few times.

So he was already infected. He finally found one that was, I assume it was fully loaded still, syringe, and he juices himself up. He gets his fix, but then he kind of gets up and runs out of the room looking for that girl in his knife, and that's when it gets to the big showdown. So I cut that crack head off, fights that other zombie. The girl is trying to hide still. She ended up putting her sister in a box and just kind of set it to the side.

So she was running around with just a blanket. And so the crack hag would think that she had the baby. So little girl's hiding behind all these boxes. Skag is dealing with the main zombie. And as he's shooting at the girl trying to get her because he wants his knife back. No, he got his knife back because he pulled it out of his side. after the girl stabbed him with it but I guess he just wanted to kill

that girl so he's just firing shots at her she's ducking and bobbing and weaving behind things the other zombies coming at Skag and he ends up shooting him and killed that zombie

because he just he falls over onto the box that was holding the baby during this time when Skag was just firing rounds, he hit the girl because the camera kind of goes around and you see the one zombie laying on the box. You hear the baby crying, scags laying there on the ground.

The girl, like the camera goes over to the girl. She's leaning against. She's sitting down leaning against the wall that she just falls over. So she got shot. let me go back a little bit during all this craziness that's happening every now and then

there's a loud like an air raid sound and they would mess with scagg he'd be screaming and falling over trying to hold his ears

at one time he was trying to stab the knife in his ears I just so he couldn't hear anything and at the end battle he like cut his ear off

so he wouldn't hear anything because I think he just didn't like the high-pitched noise because when the baby started crying, he did the same thing. Yeah, he fell on the ground. Scary had a lot going on. Yeah. And I was like, what's happening? And then he just, after the girl, the little girl's dead,

the crack hag, the main zombie's dead. And the sirens going off, he just can't take it anymore. And he just sticks the gun to his head. blows his brains out. Camera kind of fades to black. It comes to, we see everyone dead. Then we hear the baby crying, and that's your movie.

Give me the baby. I don't understand what was happening. I mean, I mean, Skag was tough. I mean, getting shot, I don't know how many times, stabbed bit. and

I don't know this movie was confusing so yeah because read that first synopsis maybe they were

gone with too much because it says mysterious virus plague in pharmaceutical drug conspiracy I don't know where that came

like which one which one was happening I don't know I mean it was to me it was just some deranged

drug addict of trying to rob get more money for drugs and during a zombie apocalypse and these people were just casualties of war that happened to be and then the wrong place at the wrong time. Yeah, I will say the director, what was his name, Joshua Real Realia,

I apologize again. I will say he did show us visually. This was a bleak, dark, grimy apocalyptic world that this was story was happening or stories so he he I will say

if anything he really that really came through the story was confusing but I did it sure felt like the end of days going on yeah I mean it was whatever was causing at all. Something was happening and it was just

winding down. I thought they were going to do something like a return of the living dead and draw bombs and blow up the whole city. Because they were all racing to the stadium. Again, I just assumed it was some kind of safe zone where there was

armed forces and everything there. I mean, this Joshua record in the movies, that's never good. Yeah. This Joshua Real guy, he You saw Death House, didn't you? Yeah. Yeah.

I guess he's a set director for that. He's only directed two things. Something called Empire, State of the Dead. It just says segment, necropath. So is this an anthology? I'm not to find this. Unless this was part of it because I'm clicking. I clicked on it and Skag, Mo Isaac, Skagg is in this.

So, all right, everyone. Or, um, the, if you guys have that movie, send it to us. We'll watch it. Um, uh, this, I guess this was a full movie. And then I guess he did a segment. I think there's, there's necropaths with an S. Um, that was an empire state of, state of, of the dead. because that was a short from 2016

and that's when that one came out and this film was from 2018 so um yeah I don't I don't know what what was really going on other than just weird guy

killing people and zombies and people in the wrong part of town I mean that's as much as I can make out of the film um yeah mother and Christian boy did not belong on that side of town. Yeah, I don't know what they were doing down there. Visuals I thought were cool.

I mean, the zombie makeup wasn't the greatest, but I thought how Skag looked. He really sold it. He's on the poster. He's in the trailers and the teaser trailer. But... Good tagline. Even a pandemic can't kill an addiction.

yeah I mean that that was true because he was he was just trying to get his fix um but yeah um this must have been right in the beginning of it because when that guy and a girl were in a car I mean I don't think they were to to get down during all this trying to I don't know and this was all in one night so I assume just those two people in the car didn't know what was happened and everyone else must have knew because that's except for the mom and the Christian boy because they didn't seem like they were trying to rush to get anywhere. It was just a father business and the girl and his wife and the baby that were trying to get to the stadium.

So, but would you watch this again? I, after talking about it with you, I think I will because maybe it's just, Maybe it's something we're not seeing, or maybe the point of it was to be so chaotic and not make sense. I don't know. This is one of those situations where you kind of want to talk to the director and like what was happening. But yeah, I would check it out. I thought the visuals were cool. Definitely Skag and was a crack hag.

I think they were the standout characters. because they were just creepy and I just kind of felt like the actor and actress was was kind of going for it, especially with, like, give me the baby, you know, and scagg was just unstoppable. Yeah, I mean, the crack had scared me the most. I mean, there was a scene when that girl was trying to hide from her and then she just like jumps out of nowhere. I did. I jumped during that scene. Yeah, because it's in the camera.

Yeah. It, it was, I think the suspense and thriller part kind of got when that girl was running from Skag and the crack hag. So, I mean, that one crawler zombie, it was outside first. How the hell did it get inside? I don't know what was happening here, but if you guys want to check it out, go for it. I mean, feel free to watch it. And if you can come make some sense of it, I mean, let us know. But overall, film-wise, I thought it was shot good. The special effects were good. The only problem I had was some of the special effects was the gun didn't sound like a gun.

It just sounded like caps or something. I mean, I don't know. That was just me. And there was no. gun flash or anything from from the from the barrel um that's about it i mean that visually i mean story i don't know what the story was in this other than this guy just trying to get money for drugs and just going crazy i guess i mean that what is a necropath I don't know.

Yeah, I agree with you. The visuals, some of the effects look pretty cool. I mean, if you want to see drug addiction, zombie-like people, and a lot of bad decisions, then by all means, search this out. I believe it was made in 2018, but it is officially getting it, its release this year, so I believe it is currently out on VOD.

Okay. I had to look up necropath. All I find is necropathy. And the condition or disease process principally characterized by tissue death or gangrene. I don't think that's what was happening. Yeah. But he he looked fucked up looking and it was all skinny and no teeth. Just on his top gums.

I look like all his teeth were gone. But yeah, this movie was, it was a movie. Yeah. I mean, thinking about it, it would have been an interesting take if they would have let you know that maybe him turning into a zombie, maybe because of his drug addiction, he didn't crave, like, beating. on people, his only craving was drugs and he just couldn't stop and he couldn't be killed and he just was never going to stop. I think that would have been kind of cool if that was, I don't know if that was the point or not, but I think there just should have been a little bit more explanation.

Like I said earlier, you just kind of got dropped into this world. Yeah, I was like it was already, whatever was happening in this, it was already going. And this guy just happened to one roundside to look for more money. I don't know. Yeah, again, if you guys want to see it, definitely check it out. I want to see this empire, state of the dead. Yeah, I might have to search this one out too. Yeah, I'm trying to see if it's on YouTube.

hmm let's see well there's a trailer and then I'm just getting Jay Z's empire state of mind shout out to we're recording this on April Fool's Day shout out to Jay Z for fool and everybody yeah put out a track list of an album that is not happening or coming out and everybody got excited Jay Z's a billionaire he ain't thinking about making music No. The only thing on YouTube is a trailer. So let me just watch it. All right.

Some zombies. Some guys with guns. Oh, shit. They just showed a scagg. Is he still looking the same? Yeah. There's a lot happening in this trailer. A lot of guns look like there's more dialogue in this than there is.

It looks like they just either they reshot stuff from this film. Because Skagg doesn't look as jacked up as he did in the movie. So I don't know. We're going to have to find this one. Or you guys, the guys have made this if you're listening, let us watch this one. So this one looks like more, A little more exciting.

It's totally low budget. But way more zombies in it. And makeup. Yeah, they're going for it with the blood and the gore too. Yeah. We're going to, we're going to find that one.

Maybe this will be 31 days. Yeah, we're going to have to definitely. cover that one but yeah everyone that's necropath it's an hour and 34 minutes horror thriller it came out September 28th of 2018 um if you guys watch it definitely let us know what your take on it is um I wouldn't say it was bad and it was a waste of time but I I have more questions than answer
