Yo, yo, what's up everybody?
The horror returns bonus episode.
Tonight, we're going to come at you with the 15 most anticipated horror movies of 2026.
Yeah, we're already a few months into the year, but I should have did this sooner than later.
But anyway, but before we go on, we got, of course, myself, and as usual, we got Brother Brian.
What's up, man?
What's up, man?
oh man we've got we're behind everyone well Ryan and I
we still we got things we're doing and uh but we're gonna give you some bonus
content but yeah uh distro dot com the 15 most anticipated horror movies of all
time or of 2026 we've had a few uh already this year that uh they're probably going to speak
on this list and uh we'll we'll talk
about it but let's roll with number 15 this is a movie I've never even heard of you probably
have but this is buddy what's it about a girl and her friends have to escape from a dark
twisted version of a kids TV show have you heard of this I've seen like pictures online
it looks it looks kind of cool yeah I'll see it's directed by Casper Kelly and looking at
cast I
other than Michael
Shattenham and Patton
Oswald oh Keegan Michael
Key
Tofer Grace and
Kristen
Malatai
I think that is the last thing
or he or she I don't know
Casper Kelly
did he do
too many cooks
Let me see
Yes
This is going to be weird
Then
Too many cooks.
That came out in 2014.
You ever seen too many cooks?
I have not.
Is there streaming anywhere?
It's on YouTube.
Okay, it's a TV short.
All right.
Let's check it out.
But I'll check this out.
I mean, as well as too many cooks.
I'll watch that one as well.
And we'll see how this one goes.
I'm not sure if it's getting a
theatrical release
maybe in some areas
I mean
I'm out of the sticks
I'm in the sticks
so probably not
so
I'm in my area
what
I think he did
the segment
in the last VHS
also
was that the Halloween one
yeah
you're going to make me
look that up
which one did
the
oh he did the
the
on the wait
the one with the guy
the baby
no
the weird creature thing
that was turning people
into candy
I don't remember
let me see
he directed
fun size
yeah
was that the one they got sucked into the bowl
yeah
okay
that's that's his kind of
humor and
style.
Yeah, that one, that one was weird.
The one that scared me was that baby man or whatever when they were in,
those girls were in the house.
Oh, with the thing with the six titties?
Yeah, that was weird.
Oh, man.
How many VHS movies is in there, like six?
Six, seven.
Yeah, there's, two is my favorite.
Viral, I'm starting to come around on that one.
that was kind of like my least favorite.
I don't know.
I'll sit down and re-watch those again.
But,
buddy,
we'll see how that one comes when it comes out.
It says it is going to come out.
I guess it's already out.
This is January 22nd.
I think it's doing the festival ride.
Oh, okay.
Well,
no festivals come to my area,
so I have to wait.
This one,
I've seen all the other ones.
I didn't realize it was that many,
but this is Insidious 6.
Directed by Jacob Chase.
Blumhouse is keeping the plot
for the six Insidious movie underwraps for now,
including the title.
Is it a prequel or what?
Because they bring in Shay back.
Yeah, I assume.
Is
Are the regular people in it or is it just her in an earlier adventure?
I just know Lynn Shea's in it and the, what's his name, Patrick Wilson, that whole storyline they finish.
They're done with them.
Hmm.
When IMDB doesn't say much.
So, all right.
Well, we'll see when it comes.
out. What was the last one? I don't even remember.
Red Door.
What was the one?
Would his son grow now?
The key. What was that one?
Oh, the last key. Yeah, that one.
I've enjoyed all of them. The first one still being my favorite.
Okay, so. Yeah, all right. The red door, I don't.
Reddo was not good.
I don't even remember that one.
I mean, I've seen them all in the theater, but...
That's how good it was.
Yeah, I don't.
I don't remember.
If this is a prequel, cool.
I'm all for it.
But, I mean, I did like how they all did kind of tie into one another and everything.
So, but we'll see where it goes.
That's why I'm wondering if it's a prequel, because Lee Wannell and the other guy that was, like, her sidekicks.
I don't think they're...
I don't think they're in a movie.
Oh, they're not? The two Ghostbusters?
Yeah.
Hmm.
Helly one now.
Man.
You did good with the invisible man.
Then you gave us Wolfman or whatever the hell that was.
I wasn't a fan of that one,
but I don't know.
Who am I?
We'll see where it goes.
Of course, we're all going to see it.
We've seen the first five.
Why not?
We sat through all the screen movies.
So, yeah.
All right, this one, that's why I'm saying that this list probably came out months ago.
But return to Silent Hill.
I did see that it is now on physical media, so I'm sure you can rent it somewhere.
You guys did this one, didn't you?
Yeah, this is not to spoil my review for no one's listen to it, but this is a definite bottom-tent movie.
So this one ties into the original, the first one.
one? That's what
they say.
See, I don't even remember the first. I just remember
it being boring.
And I never even seen the second one.
Well, you thought
that was boring.
Wait until you watch the new one.
I have
the second one that still shrink-wrapped.
I guess I'll just
buy this one. I'm that
completest.
Speaking of physical
media, I was in Walmart the other day.
And I missed that scream steelbook of the first film, West Craven's scream.
I saw that they had it.
I saw it.
I was like, ooh, I need to go back and get that one.
And they had the steel book for Dead Silence, James Wan.
That one was helly good.
Yeah.
They were pricey, though, man.
$30.
You guys are killing me.
So, but I already have that screen movie, but not the steel books.
I'm going to go back and grab that one.
But this one,
the return to Silent Hill,
for those of you that haven't seen it,
is based on the critically acclaimed Silent Hill 2
and follows James Sunderland
back into the terrifying town
in search of his wife, Mary.
See, maybe that's why I'm not into the movies
because I never played the game,
so I don't have that nostalgic love for it.
I've only played the first game
And damn, that shit was scary
For those of you, they were a few old school
Is it remember PS1
That's when the first game came out
Actually
A friend of mine goes
Here, dude, he gave me a demo
It was some PlayStation that had like
Four or five games on it
But it was like just the demo versions
And he goes, dude, play Silent Hill
I was like, what is it?
He goes, dude, just play it.
All right.
And they only gave you so much of the game.
And I was, dude, just that little demo was scary.
So when it came out, I bought it.
And I had to buy one of those books that kind of gives you the walkthrough to tell you where to go and everything.
Because I tried to play it without a book, but it got to a point where you had to play this piano.
You had to play.
They gave you the notes to play.
and I can't read sheet music
I'm much less on a piano
on the keys so
I was like okay
so that's when I just bought one of those books
but it'll make those books anymore
because we got the internet
you can just go on there and
go on YouTube and watch somebody
I think these books are worth money to know
I know I have
Resident Evil
one the director's cut book
and Resident Evil 2
Silent Hill
the thing
and that was another one I had
I can't remember
but oh one of the
20 lock games
but return to Silent Hill
I'm sure once it starts
streaming somewhere I'll just
I'll just pick it up I'm not gonna
rush out and pay
30 bucks for it now I can
I can wait
until it drops
in price so we'll see
but number 13
return to Silent Hill
all right this movie
not out yet. It's coming out in June, June 12th.
And there's already controversy for it just because of the trailer. And this is
Scary Movie 6. I thought this was directed by Marlon Wainz. Or is he just
one of the producers? He's, uh, him and his brothers are producing and writing.
Uh, Michael Tidd Tiddies or Tids or whatever. I don't think his name is Michael Titties.
Yeah. Tidies. I don't know. Whatever.
Sorry if you listen.
Honor Ferris comes back, Regina Hall,
Marvin Wayne, Sean Wains,
Lachland.
Everybody.
Yeah, everybody that was in the first
and some of the, what's his name,
David Sheridan from the second one.
He's coming back,
just from what I've seen in the trailer.
Paramount Scary Movie 6 brings the horror spoof series
back to theaters for the first time
in over a decade, although we don't know
much of the plot.
But it's time around the tease when did this article come out so I'm sure there's a plot somewhere
The the trail looked funny I'm all about it
Let me see does this okay here it is two friends find themselves caught in a mayhem involving killers monsters and supernatural creatures
This doesn't give you much
But uh it's got every
everyone, ooh, a friend of the show, Felissa Rose.
She's also in it. All right, cool. I'm with that.
Anthony Anderson, good to see him. I know he was in, was it the third one?
I know he popped up in one of them.
Yeah, when they did that, him and Kevin did the Brokeback Mountain scene.
Yeah.
Damon Wayne Jr., he's in it. I like that kid. He's been in a lot of funny TV shows.
Dave Sheridan, he's coming back.
as a doofy
Gilmore
I was like
I thought he ran off
hiding him and
Gail Hale Hale Storm
Sherry O'Terry
from what I remember
of the first film
they did the
Kaiser Soze
usual suspects
Andy
which I mean
out of all
of the scary movies
the first one
was the best one
that was when they like
really went forward
second one was okay
and then
I think the
The Wayne's guys didn't really have much to do with the last few.
So I'm kind of like, all right, whatever.
I think they were done after three.
This one, I get it.
And the way the world has changed,
the way Marlon Wayne said, it goes,
come on, we're ready to laugh.
We need to laugh again.
Let's put our feelings aside.
But from what people are saying, I get it.
but for the old man than I am,
I grew up in a different time where everything,
nothing was off limits,
everything went in the all or nothing days.
So I get it though.
I don't get it.
Because they're coming after everybody.
They're not specifically coming after certain things.
Yeah.
So, I mean, there is movies that I grew up with.
they cannot make today.
Oh, they're not making blazing saddles.
Yeah, they leave that alone.
They could never touch that.
I don't think they could do porkies again.
I just recently watched them.
How was that movie?
We did it.
I still need to put it out.
Sorry, everyone.
Better off tit.
Oh, no, not doing that.
I don't even think they can do breakfast club if they try to reboot that.
I don't think they can do it
If they did
They will just change it
Change the story
Same thing with weird science
Two teen boys
And an older 20 something
Lady
And from what I remember
Kelly LeBrock
Was obviously over
In her 20s
And she was kissing
Wyatt Donnelly
I don't know
No his real name
I don't even think he was
Of age at the time
and she was making out with him
and
all kinds of got two teen
boys standing in the shower
with a naked woman
in their underwear
they wear in their sweat pads
and they had their shoes on
80s were a different time
boys and girls but
yeah I'm coming number 12
scary movie six
uh I'll see it
I mean my favorite part in the first one
still is when
uh
Smokey's
sitting there
and then the killer
calls him
and he's all lit up
and he's like
hey
Smokey
or not Smokey
what the hell is his name
Shorty
What are you doing
Nothing
watching the game
Smokin's a bud
watching the game
Then they do that whole
Hey, enter the phone
Watch up all that
That shit was hell of
It's stupid.
A lot of people don't get that.
It was a commercial back in the
I only room. It was for a phone.
I assume Pacific Bell
or something. I don't remember. But that part to me
that just makes me laugh every time I see it.
Marlon Wayne's, he's the All-Star.
A lot of them are like,
I don't know about him, everyone. I mean, I know
get it. People do like that movie? I
didn't. But as far
as his comedic roles, he was awesome
in this. He was awesome in
Don't Be a Menace. He was also been
White Chicks.
You know what? He was not too bad at
recently. Which one?
Bel Air.
I kind of, I watched it.
I just couldn't. It was too serious.
Well, he played
Will's dad and
he kind of
brought it with the acting.
Well, if he can do it, I mean,
if you guys saw him, he did an amazing
job. I just, the movie just wasn't
for me. So, but
Requiem for a dream.
Oh, that was the movie that
I realized that this guy can act.
He's a good actor. He could
because we just saw Living Color
and the other movies he had done.
And then this, I mean, that movie,
Recreed for a Dream was, I think it was before
scary movie and everything.
So, yeah.
That movie, oh, that movie's depressing
too. That was
all crazy. I haven't seen that in a while.
But man, if you guys haven't seen that one, check that one out.
It is scary.
That's like real life scary stuff.
But anyway, number 12, scary movie six.
This one, it already came and went in January.
I liked it, but I just didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else was.
But this is coming to number 11.
This is Send Help.
Directed by Sam Ramey, stars Rachel McAdams and Dailen O'Brien.
Rachel McAdams plays Linda Little Little
Littleie or Lindle or whatever
An office worker who gets stranded on a desert island
With her cold-hearted boss Bradley Preston
And the pair are forced to work together to stay alive
I like both of those actors
I love Sam Ramey
But the way they were talking about this movie
It's like one of the greatest movies ever
It's good
I enjoyed it
Yeah it was
way overhyped for me.
So, but I mean, I think people were just,
I think people were just happy to have Sam Ramey back in horror.
I didn't even really think it was a horror movie.
But that's me, everyone.
The last movie for me that hit it out of the park was,
Drag Me to Hell, the Sam Ramey did.
That was more...
2012?
Yeah, that was Evil Dead style.
I loved all that.
so we'll see we gotta do that one
which one drag me to hell
yeah
I know I have the
scream factory one
I'll have to dig it out
but yeah I haven't seen that movie in a long time I saw that one
three times in a theater I thought that was
hella good I love that film
but this one
I'll watch it again once it starts streaming again
I went and saw the movie
movie mainly for
Rachel McAdams
I liked her
they did give
what was her name
Mean Girls
Regina George
Yeah she
They gave some love to Mean Girls
One of the songs she was listening to in the beginning
Was on the Mean Girls soundtrack so
Yeah my problem was there was too many
Moments where they were just talking
Yeah there was a lot of that
So that's what I was watching
I thought I was watching a survival horror thriller
Not like
let's talk about our issues and then
have stuff happen and then talk about our issues some more.
And eat
berries and fish and whatever else they had.
I did like the little twist at the end though.
I thought that was cool.
All right. Number 10, this movie is still in the theaters.
This is Scream 7.
We already did it. We did a show on it.
It was, it was all right.
It was not as bad as Lance's score.
Oh, no.
I think I gave it like a five or six or something.
I was in the middle.
I enjoyed it.
Will I buy it?
Of course I do.
I will.
I got all the other ones.
So I might as well fill up the set with this.
I'm not sure how it didn't, in the box office.
It is the highest grossing movie in the franchise as of today.
So I'm guarantee we'll get an eight.
at some point.
Yeah, but
the one good thing
about getting an eighth
is Kevin Williamson said he will
not be directing.
Wow.
And I think
that's good because
he's
written some
iconic stuff
but he's only directed one
thing, one other thing
before Scream 7.
What was that?
I couldn't even tell you.
I don't remember.
But,
He's not a director.
Let me see what this guy's done.
I mean,
Neff Campbell, Courtney Cox,
that was,
that got me in the door.
I mean,
and again,
I've seen all the other ones,
but.
One of the cameos
should have been the killer.
Yeah.
He wrote Scream,
the original one?
Yeah.
That was the whole big deal about him directing because he wrote the original one.
He wrote the original, he wrote the second one and this one?
Yeah.
Okay.
I don't know what happened with this one, but...
Sick.
Hmm.
Did we do that one?
We might have did it for 31.
It was something that was on Peacock.
Yeah, the pandemic slasher.
Yeah.
I think we did that for 31.
yeah I think we did
What I remember I did like it
It was good
Yeah
Okay he did some of the screen TV series
Or he looks like he wrote 29 episodes
All right no
The first season was good
It was based off of Scream
That's probably why his name is
The first season was pretty good
That last season was garbage
Yeah I liked the one when it was the original cast
In the movie
or in the TV series.
But yeah, when they came back with that last season,
I was like, what the hell is this trash?
Yeah, it was like the whole new story in cast.
I was like, what the fuck is going on?
Yeah, I didn't like that one.
I was like, man, this is weak.
But they left it alone after that.
Well, I was when MTV was kind of bringing me back
with that scream show, but then it just fell apart.
All right.
Number nine, this is not out yet.
It's coming out next.
month, April 17th, and this is
the Cronin's The Mummy.
This new version of the
mummy follows the father
whose daughter returns eight years after
gone missing, but she's possessed by the spirit of an
ancient Egyptian mummy.
When the spirit starts going after
his other child, he's forced to perform a ritual
to save the family.
Why don't we kind of make all these monsters all
sexy and
this is a little kid
no I mean
they did it with the
I liked it I know everyone hated
the one with them
Tom Cruise
I got a rewatch that
I haven't seen that since
the soft of the theater
I liked it
the Zesu as well
on East Society we both enjoyed it
I mean it was what it was
but this one
I'm into
it's a twist on the mummy and
Lee Cronin, I believe, did
Evil Dead Rise, so
he knows how to do horror. I like that
one. I was shocked on
what they did in that one. They went
for it with the blood and killing kids and
everything. Yeah,
so
I'm a little bit
confident in this one
with him doing it.
Yeah, I'm on board. I'll
check it out.
Jack,
was it Rainer?
Leah Costa, Veronica Falcon, and May column away.
I think that's what you're saying.
Jack Raynor was the guy from Midsamar, the guy in the bear suit.
Oh, okay.
I need to rewatch that again.
I know I saw it twice in the theater.
I did enjoy it, but I haven't seen it since.
I guess that was Florence Pug.
I love her now, but at that time, I don't think I really knew who she was.
It makes me sad
In that movie
It was from what I understood
It was about a breakup
Yeah
The director, the writer went through
And he just turned to do a movie
It's just when she cries
And that movie
It's sad
Yeah
Let me see
Oh
2017
Is that streaming anywhere
Uh
Disney Plus,
HBO Max,
Cinemax.
Hmm.
I have to knock that one out.
Are they really making another
one with
Brandon Fraser and
all of them?
I heard they were done.
Did Ready or Not
in the previous screen
movies.
And they said
they're going mostly practice.
well I hope so
I must be thinking of a different
mummy this isn't I'm watching the trailer
this isn't the movie I was thinking of
hmm
man it's gonna be
depressing
I can already see it
in this
little kid
yeah oh my gosh
uh
of course we'll see it
um
there's
it's kind of looks like Jason
little
boy Jason
geez that's crazy
yeah I'm trying to see
what else was all in this
other than Jack Rainer
I don't even
I'm sure I've seen these
other people on other things
but he's the only one that really
comes to me
so I don't know
we'll see
but what I say comes out
April next month
April 17th
yeah
all right
My daughter's birthday.
All right.
This one I heard about it.
I didn't, I don't know if there's anything out yet unless you know.
But coming at number eight, they're giving us another one.
I enjoyed all of them.
I even enjoyed Welcome to Raccoon City, but this is Resident Evil.
Zach Krieger, Austin Abrams, Paul Walter.
Paul Walter Hauser, Zach Cherry, and Callie Ray.
What's about? Austin Avery plays Brian, a medical carrier who accidentally hits a woman while driving through a snowstorm which sets off an outbreak of monstrous proportions.
Is there anything out on this yet?
Like, is trailer or?
I think they just, I think they just started filming.
Oh, okay.
2026.
And we all know Zach
Craigor from Barbarian
and Weapons.
I love both of those movies.
Shout out to
What's her name?
Aunt Gladys.
Amy Madigan.
Yeah. She won
Academy Award winner.
Aunt Gladys.
Amy Madigan.
Shout out to Michael B. Jordan.
As well.
I wanted sinners to win.
Don't get me wrong.
One battle after another was an awesome film,
but I thought sinners was better.
But that was a good moment when Michael B. Jordan won
because all the other nominees legitimately
looked like they were happy for him.
Yeah.
And plus he got a standing ovation when he went up on stage.
Yeah.
And they showed him some love at In and Out afterwards.
man let that man eat his burger
yeah
did he go in there but other than
with his little film crew that was with him
did he go in by himself because he just sat there
and ate his burger and
everyone was ah trying to get
he did give pictures to everyone
I thought that was cool but yeah man let me eat
first
and he took pictures I love that picture he took
with the work crew
when he was standing at the counter
I thought that was pretty cool
but
Resident Evil
Did you
Like Welcome to Rackham City
Yeah I mean there was a
Couple of CGI moments
I didn't care for
But overall I thought it was entertaining
I did too
I mean I've said it before
It was a combo of the first
And the second game
And I loved it
The previous ones with Mila and all that
I think it was just
Resident Title
And the GD
G virus or whatever the hell was called
and Nemesis and
a couple other things that was about
it because it
totally went a totally different direction
but we'll see
all right
number seven evil dead burn
I'm waiting for this
I am too but I am not even
we get we get another
we get another one next year too
I'm not going to try
with this director's name
something something they got little things over the seas and
he did that movie i know you're talking about i'm not going to try to pronounce his name either
he did uh that infested spider movie on shutter the french one which one
infested oh i still haven't seen that one i was the one that um i knew you hadn't
seen it yet michael keeps telling michael yeah mike keeps telling me to watch he's like
watch it, watch it.
It's good.
All right.
But I know you've got a thing with spiders.
But they're not real.
Is it real spiders or CGI spiders?
Both.
Oh.
Because eight-legged freak,
it was majority CGI spiders
when they got bigger, but
I can handle it.
I like that movie.
Anaconda, Anaconda.
Araknafobia?
I know the big
Giant Spider was fake, but the little ones weren't.
It's a combination of both.
All right.
I'll see.
But evil dead burn.
I just know the director said this one's going to hurt.
Oh, man.
I don't know if this is a picture from the movie,
because I don't remember this in the other one, but who knows I could be wrong.
It says here there is little about it.
So not really said that.
Even on IMDB, there's nothing.
What I like about it is Sam Ramey wrote a Bible for all these movies to go off of.
So people aren't just making up shit as they go.
So they're all going to be connected.
Well, they kind of connected it with the last film, with all of them.
Because I thought.
Yeah, because they said there was multiple Necronomicon.
Yeah.
So I'm like, ah, okay, I get it.
now so I'm all with it
so at some point we could get
ash
so
yeah
but then it'll just turn into a comedy he's producing
this one he's involved
okay
because if if ash comes back in
it'll it'll just turn into
comedy
because
yeah
these last two were like
super serious.
So I don't know.
I mean, we'll see.
But there's,
yeah, there's,
there's different,
there's books of the dead,
the Necronomicon.
So I'm like,
all right,
cool,
I get it now.
So I'm all for it.
Because the book in the last one,
that one looked cool.
Had the teeth or everything.
Yeah.
The one coming out next year,
the one coming out next year,
evil dead wrath.
It's still,
it's going to be a serious one, too.
Well, this one is slated to come out this summer, July 24th.
All right, this one, I've heard a little about it.
I assume it's, is it a remake of the great Clint Howard?
Or is this just a complete different story from director Eli Roth?
Coming in number six, Ice Cream Man.
Ice cream man follows what happens during the summer when an ice cream man serves kids sweet delights with horrifying results, which plagues a town into chaos.
New story.
So it's got nothing to do with Clint Howard's ice cream man, right?
No, but they are making a sequel to that one also.
And Clint Howard's coming back.
Well, he better.
He's the ice cream man.
We'll have to do the first one.
I haven't seen that movie.
I think I only seen it once.
And that was during the VHS days.
You know, got the Vinegar Syndrome edition?
I do not.
And I'm going to have to.
When did that come out?
95?
Yeah.
So why didn't I think it was in the 80s?
Has the 80s feel to it.
It was still during the VHS era.
Hmm. Don't look like it's streaming anywhere.
But this new one, I'm into it. I like Eli Roth, even though Land thinks he's a complete hack.
I like Thanksgiving. It wasn't the grind house version, but it was still entertaining.
It gave us a new killer, the Pilgrim or whatever he was called.
but ice cream man
yeah I mean Eli Roth he's
he's hitting this with me
I was all about him in the beginning
and then
what was that one
The Green Inferno
I was kind of like
I mean is he ever going to go back to that
Because the way he ended
That dude that led him all out into the Amazon
was still alive because there was a little
a little mid-credit scene.
I don't think nobody liked it, so I don't think
he is going to go back to it.
I mean, I enjoyed it enough to buy it,
but I was kind of let down.
Like, this is just basically
cannibal Holocaust
with a bigger budget, I thought, but
who am I?
I'll see this.
I mean, Eli brought me back with
Thanksgiving, so I'll check it out.
This is in the theaters right now. I'm hearing bad things about it, but I still want to see it.
This is Maggie Jillinghalls, The Bride.
It's got Jesse Buckley, Batman, Christian Bale, Peter Scarsagard, Annette Benning, and Bubble Boy, Jake Jalenhaald, and Penelope Cruz.
Did you see this one yet?
No, I'm hearing mixed things.
neither you're going to really love it or you're going to hate it.
Yeah.
I can't really, the bigger reviewer guys on YouTube,
I don't know if people pay them,
hey, just give us a good review and we'll give you a couple hundred bucks.
We'll do that too if you want to give us some money.
Scream 7 was 10 out of 10.
Yep, we'll take that check.
We'll cash it.
but I still want to see it
I meant to go out this weekend and see it
but I wouldn't seen something else
but somebody had posted on Facebook
that their review kind of made sense
he said it's not a horror movie
it's a crime
thriller with horror elements
I didn't think it was a horror movie
I just thought it was a love story
type of thing
an old-time
gangster movie
with Frankenstein
and the bride of Frankenstein.
I like the way Christian Bale looks.
I mean, that's kind of
the big reason I want to see it.
The
Guillermo del Toro one, that
Frankenstein, that won a few
Oscars last night.
The
first half to me was boring.
The Dr. Frankenstein's story.
The monster, his story at the end, that last half.
That was good.
What was that?
You liked his version.
Who, Germos?
You liked his version of the story?
No, the Frankenstein.
The monster?
I did.
I liked that part.
It was more interesting.
Dr. Frankenstein was just like,
I mean, I like the whole set and everything.
I think it won for that.
And I think it won to special effects or something.
I can't remember exactly what I won,
but they won a few things.
But I liked how the monster looked.
There's another.
Why do they keep getting pretty guys to be Frankenstein or the monster?
This one is well, the bride.
I'll see it.
I remember I wasn't really like,
what is this and then I mean I like Maggie
Jillen Hall so I'm like all right I'll
she's directing this let me
I'll give it a shot if I don't see
it in the theater I'm sure I'll see it eventually
at some point before the year is up
so
number five the bride
all right this one
coming at number four
this is Clayface
based off of DC Comics
character
who is in this
this is
James Watkins is directing it
written by Mike Flanagan
and Ha-Hsan
Amini, I think so I think that's what you say it
Max
Minghella
What is this gentleman?
He looks familiar
Oh, he's been in a ton of things
He's been in some things
I liked Spiral
I wanted the end he was
The spoiler alert
He was the bad guy
in that one.
Social network, I
didn't care for that film.
But what is this?
You're not going to watch the sequel?
To what? Social network?
Social network.
What is that one? MySpace? I don't know.
I don't know. We'll see.
Again, I didn't care for it, everyone.
I know everyone's like,
oh my god, it's like one of the greatest movies ever made.
I'm like, I don't know what you guys are watching, but all right.
Anyway, Clayface, a shape-shifting creature made of magical clay haunts Gotham City.
Alternating between villain and ally of Batman, multiple tragic figures have taken on the Clayface mantle over the years.
It's just the DC-EU or whatever they call it, their expansion universe.
I mean, they're trying to bring in
It seems like
They're just trying to bring in characters
That don't really
Have that big of
A following
This is not a part of the main
Not a part of the main universe
This is not a part of
James Gunn's deal, right?
No
All right, see, I don't
Is this, well, let me see what it says
Why is this excited DC is
flutter with moments of horror movies like the dark night and the batman
horror movies but a complete body horror movie set in the james gun
okay i guess it is it's set in the james gun new dc universe is a fascinating
it's he's ahead of all of it but like this clay face will not show up in superman
I think it would probably be better in that because there was a lot of wackiness in that last Superman movie.
I can't see this popping up in the Batman or whatever Batman movie James Gunn is going to bring us.
But I don't know.
I think in James Guns' DC universe, this could fit into it because he did, like I said,
Superman. They did have moments of wackiness so I could see Clayface rolling in there.
But I don't know. We'll see it. And I know that's what they've been writing on when this first was announced.
It's a DC horror movie, comic horror movie. And I'm like, hmm, I'll see it. I see every comic book movie made.
I mean, we, East Society, we do our favorite comic book movies of the year.
each year
because we get
we get a handful
of comic book movies
I know
Marvel Studios
has kind of eased up a little
on all their stuff
because they were putting out stuff
boom boom boom left and right
so but
and of course we're getting
doomsday
that that's coming
I'm excited for it
but I
know there's going to be more of the Avengers and everything so we'll see but shout out to um
robert downy junior junior last night he rolled up with his uh his green tuxedo i thought that
was pretty sweet but clay face this is a character that i didn't really care for reading in the books
so i mean i liked them when he popped up on the super friends and everything when i was a kid but
it wasn't something that really like oh clay face is awesome but we have
different technology to make
make him look good
so we'll see
what they do this is not coming out until
September so
we'll see and as far
I haven't seen anything yet so I don't know if they
have anything ready to release maybe around
Comic Con in July
we'll get something so we'll see
or whatever that
no that's Disney
that thing so I don't know Comic Con maybe they'll
probably pump something out there but
Are you familiar with this character?
A little bit from the animated series, but I think they revamped the character in the comic books.
So it's probably going to be more closer to the horror aspect they're trying to go for.
All right.
We'll see.
Brian and I will talk about it, so we'll see once it comes out.
Yeah.
Expect more during Comic-Con.
All right.
This next one comes about it.
number three, Robert Eggers.
Is it a werewolf?
With
kickass, Aaron Taylor, Johnson,
Lily Rose, Depp, William Defoe,
and Ralph Inson.
This is coming out on Christmas, December 25th.
A British village in the 13th century
becomes a haunting ground for a terrifying monster.
Okay, I haven't really seen anything.
I don't even know if there isn't anything out for this yet, is there?
As far as I know, this is just basically Nisphiratu, but with the Werewolf.
Well, they're showing, the picture they're showing of Lily Rose Depp at this.
Yeah, this is from Nostphirau, too.
But did you like that one?
No.
It was different.
It was okay.
It was a little.
they could have cut some of it out because it just kind of drug and parts.
As far as visually, I thought it looked cool.
Yeah, visually, it was amazing.
The guy knows how to shoot a movie, but I was bored to tears throughout most of it.
What's his name?
I didn't even know that was him, Pennywise.
Yeah, Bill.
Yeah, Bill Scars.
I didn't realize that was him until the credits were rolling.
I didn't really look into it on who was in.
I knew that Johnny Depp's daughter was in it.
That was about it.
But I don't, I didn't like it enough to why I'm going to buy it.
But it was all right.
I was glad that I saw in the theater.
But this one, I know what to expect.
Just be better.
So we'll see.
We'll see what happens.
I won't go see it on Christmas.
Maybe the day after.
But we'll see.
No, watching Doom.
Day on Christmas.
Yeah, I have to go
see that because I don't want nothing spoiled.
Oh, I forgot Dunes Day.
What was that?
Dunes Day.
The Marvel one or that
Crazy one?
Dunn Part 3 and Doomsday.
Oh.
The same day.
Dune?
Dune's fucking badass.
I'd like the second one more
than the first part.
But what's his name is
Under Fire for some comments.
teammate.
Marty Supreme,
Timothy
Chalamee.
What did he say?
I guess he said something about the opera
or something like that and
everybody was ready to lynching because they
were going off on him last night
on the Oscars.
I don't know exactly what
he said, but
yeah, they didn't
that movie was up for all kinds of awards.
went anything.
All right.
In March of 2026,
Timothy Shalame faced
backlash
for suggesting
that no one
cares about ballet and
opera.
Oh, my God.
Arguing he
wouldn't want to work
in fields requiring
efforts to keep this thing alive.
His remark was...
I thought you were going to say he said
something controversial.
show.
His comment didn't bother me.
It's not going to make me loosely,
but I get
why people are upset.
And this young gentleman
has a platform
to whatever you, anybody
that has some kind of a platform
in Hollywood, you say something.
They're going to come after me.
People probably come after me with all the shit
that I say. But
who am I?
I'm just an old grandpa
The grumpy old grandpa talking shit
But yeah
I mean
I can I get it
I mean the opera and the ballet isn't for me
I've sat through enough of it in my lifetime
To appreciate what it is
But
I wouldn't I wouldn't I couldn't go
What do you say?
No one cares
I couldn't say anything like that
I mean I just say it's not for me
But I mean I'm not bashing anyone
That does it
the dancers or the performers and the singers and opera.
It's just, it's not for me, but.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say, I think he'll be okay.
I think he'll get through this controversy.
Of course he will.
I mean, it's not like he was kicking puppies or anything, but...
That's what I thought you were about to tell me.
No, I mean, it was just some things that he said.
I don't know if it was in an interview or what, but...
Everybody, man, they were, they were talking shit, making jokes about it last night on the Oscars.
I don't know if it was true or not.
I guess Steven Spielberg threw his hat into it.
There was going, look, look, somebody was filming.
Look, Timothy Shalmay is going to walk by Steven Spielberg.
Stephen Spielberg is not even going to say anything to him.
He probably didn't even know that kid was behind him.
He was talking to other people and do Steven Spielberg and doing this thing.
I mean, he didn't have time for all this.
So, but I don't know.
You guys read into it on whatever.
I mean, but we'll see.
Uh, I'll do in three.
Of course I'll see it.
I've seen the other ones.
Ready or not two.
Here I come.
Coming in at number two.
Directed by Matt Battelli.
Betanelli
Radio Silence
Let's just go with that
Old Pin and Tyler Gillette
Uh
Stars Samara Weaving
Catherine Newton
Uh
Sarah Michelle Geller
She's not Buffy the Vampire Slayer
I don't care what anyone says
Christy Swanson's
Buffy
But I do love
Sarah Michelle Geller
That's Kendall
From all my children
Anyway
Nestor
Carbano
And Kevin Duran
And
Olivia
Chang and a bunch of other thing
David Cronenberg and
Elijah Wood
don't stare into his eyes
we'll always have
Comic Conn
what did I say?
I said is it me
or did he have the prettiest eyes
oh man
Elijah Wood
shout out to him if you're around
you're listening
but this comes out later this month
and every movie I've seen
recently this trailer is
attached to it
I don't even remember the first one again.
I'm going to have to go back and rewatch the first before I go see this one
because this one, it looks like it continues
right after the first movie,
because she's still all beat up and bloody.
So we'll see.
In the aftermath of her deadly game
with the Lodomis family in the first film,
Grace Lodomas has to fight to survive again
after other wealthy families
are given the chance to take over their games.
gaming empire if they managed to kill her.
Twisting this one, they bring her sister in to it and they're on the run trying to get away
from all these rich people that are trying to kill them.
I was shocked at the first movie.
I didn't know what to expect and I thought that movie was awesome.
So I assume this one is just going to be as awesome.
Maybe not as much as the first one, but I think it's going to be a good thrill ride of
senseless violence and
bloody explosions and all that
because they show a little bit in the trailer
and blood splatters everywhere.
So I'm all about it.
I'm ready for this one.
Did you like the first one?
Yeah, I love the first one.
You know, at the horror returns,
we're big fans of Samarrow Weaving,
and I like they bringing in Catherine Newton,
Sarah Michelle Geller,
Elijah Wood, you know, a whole bunch of people
into this one.
I like the whole idea that it's multiple families
coming after her now.
yeah we'll see
how this one is ready or not
is that streaming anywhere
I know I have it on it's on Hulu
or Disney Plus whatever
do you got
I know I have it somewhere but my movies are so
just piles of movies here
in this one
um
this is uh what I say
what's coming out this later this month
so where are we
March 16
that was that was number
number two.
No, I'm seeing.
Oh.
Next week.
Next Friday.
This will be Thursday, 26.
We go to the earlier showings, but it's coming out really soon.
All right. This one already came and went.
And this is the number one.
This was right in the beginning of the year, January 14th.
And this is 28 years later, the Bone Temple.
This fucking better get a sequel.
Because they're saying it might not get a sequel now.
Just did it not?
I thought this one was better than the first one or the first part.
Critically,
this new trilogy.
Critically,
this one was way better.
But financially,
it did worse than the previous one.
Why?
I mean,
I thought it was good.
I loved it.
It was good.
I was not expecting much because the first part was like,
eh,
okay.
It was okay.
Um
It did
Take rotten tomatoes for what it is
It was certified fresh
It was 92 and the audience score
Popcorn meter gave in 88
But
But
I get it
It was senseless violence
Uh dealing with the jimmies
I know that kind of rub people
Uh the wrong way
But
I don't know what they wanted
I know some reviewers are like
It's not like the original film.
Well, of course not.
It's not going to nothing.
This is 28 years later from the first one.
I mean, the world is changed in 28 years.
I mean, yeah, the world's completely changed from when that first one came out.
Real world from that first movie to this one.
But I wasn't expecting much for this one.
I only seen it because I had seen the last few movies.
So I'm like, okay, I invested all my time into those other ones.
Let me see this one.
And I was curious on who the jimmies were because the way that first part ended.
I was the hell of these guys.
And then the movie ended.
And then we got this one, the further adventure of the jimmies.
And the first 28 years later, if you guys remember, I just recently watched it.
At the end, when the jimmy show up, man, there was a ton of them.
Now, in this one, there was only what, seven or eight of them?
and I don't know, maybe they lost them or maybe some went on different adventures, but
I was curious on who this character was, who Jimmy was, and why everyone else was
was following in his footsteps and being a part of his little Jimmy Colt.
The fingers is what he called him.
I thought it was good, and Ray Fines, as,
As the doctor coming back and we're seeing a little more of him,
I like that whole story of him in Samson.
It was like kind of a heartwarming story.
And it did take a different turn from what we got of the infected,
just running while trying to infect you and everything.
It's like the whole thing changed.
There's mutations in the virus and the rage virus and everything.
But I thought this movie was hell of good.
Right now, it's like on one of my best.
best of the year.
I really love this film.
So, but
I don't, I get why
people didn't care for it.
I mean, a lot of the people, some of my friends
they were like, oh, it was, it was
too crazy. I didn't like the jimmies.
They were too violent. Why were they killing?
I was just...
Well, I don't think people didn't care for this movie and think
they just didn't watch it because they didn't
care for the first one.
see i had to i just i would it just left me off of like who the hell are these guys i need to see
i mean i would have seen it anyway but when it when it came out i saw like the early showing the
the thursday showings it's like i needed to see what was going on and and ray finds he's an
amazing actor so i was all about him and i wanted to see more of uh what's his name
story, Spike
on how he happened. And the way this one
ended,
they better make a third one because I
want to see what happened.
Spoiler alert. Jim
comes back from the original
film. Yeah,
he said he's
whatever happens. He's down
to do the next one. Yeah, Academy
Award winner.
Killian Murphy.
I mean, is that a name?
Killian.
Sillion. I don't know.
I think it's Killion. Sillian, I don't know,
whatever. Him.
Scarecrow. I just recently watched
the turn night again.
But
I don't know what everyone
wants. I thought this movie was awesome.
Like I said, this is definitely on my
one of the movies on my best of list.
Because I was like, man, this movie
movie was crazy and I loved it.
And not just because Iron Maiden and
Durand, Duran and the soundtrack that they popped into it.
But, man, this movie was hell of good.
And Jack O'Connell, I mean, he did an awesome job in Cinners,
but every time they kept, the camera was on him last night on the Oscars,
I kept going, Jimmy, and my wife was like,
what are you talking about?
I said, you need to watch 28 years later.
But, all right, boys and girls.
That is 15.
some of these are already out most of them already out but there's some that are coming
the 15 most anticipated horror movies of 2026 from the top 15 buddy
number 14 insidious 6 13 return to silent hill 12 scary movie 6 11 send help

the mummy
number 8 resident evil number 6
number seven, evil dead burn
number six, ice cream man,
number five, the bride, number four,
Clayface, three,
werewolf, number two,
ready or not two, here I come,
and number one, 20 years later,
the Bone Temple.
And again, this is Destro.com's,
the 15 most anticipated horror movies of 2026.
When did this article come out?
January 9th.
So, I mean, I just found it not too long.
We're a few months late on this one.
But some are already out.
Some are already in physical media and summer streaming.
And we got some new ones.
So new, there isn't even any information on them.
So, but we'll see those when they come out.
But all right, boys and girls, that is it, this episode.
Go to thehorror returns.com for everything.
I believe the March Madness episode is up.
Yep.
All right.
I was there for a second.
I don't even think I said anything,
but I was at work,
and it's a damn airplanes kept coming and going,
so I didn't really get to join in on the fun.
So I'm going to listen to the episode,
like the rest of you.
The long one.
Stream Feeds is coming.
Again, I'm lazy.
I haven't put it together yet.
I have it.
And we're coming with action returns and wrestling.
Wrestling.
We've got to do elimination chamber.
Lots happening.
We're leading up.
We're almost to WrestleMania in a few weeks.
Right now I'm saying I'm going to go, but my wife goes, let's go to Arizona and visit your mom.
I'm like, ah, that's WrestleMania weekend.
But that won a couple years ago.
we watched
WrestleMania at my mom and dad's house
and my mom was a soldier. She sat through both nights
and watched it with
my sons and I. So I thought that was really cool.
So if I don't get to make it to
Vegas for WrestleMania, we can
sit at my mom's house and
watch it again. She enjoyed it,
which I was shocked.
