Regings victims, for those of you who delight and dread, who fantasize about fear, who glorify gore, welcome.
You have found the place where the horror returns.
Listeners beware.
This podcast contains major plot spoilers.
and the foulest of language.
Join us in celebrating the old and the new,
the best, and the worst in horror.
The horror returns.
I am not Lance.
I'm Philip.
Lance is on vacation this week.
But Brian's here with me.
How you doing, Brian?
What's up, man?
Yeah, we're just two of us.
Lance's business.
in Florida man.
He's going to be Florida man.
I guarantee you
you will read a headline about him.
And
Nez may join us in a little bit
because I'm sure these movies are hella good to him.
Just one of them I'm
dying to hear if it was hell of good.
You too, man. I'm
curious.
Well,
let's jump right into it. You got any
cools of the week?
I think I got two movies and two series.
I'll start with the movies.
The first one stars the little girl from the Black Phone,
Melissa McGrath.
I'm trying to figure out was this.
It's called The Harbinger.
It's basically like making deals with the devil and having to do a job for him.
And, of course, you know, the character's not wanting to do the job.
it's pretty self-explanatory it's like nothing nothing you haven't seen before the movie was okay at best but
i was more so interested in the seeing her because i liked her so much in the black phone yeah
but it looks like this movie may have been filmed a few years before the black phone because she
looks super young younger than she is in a black phone so and she doesn't really say much she's
spoiler she's kind of like possessed or something so she spends most of the movie just
not saying anything or saying something real ominous and yeah goes back to not saying anything
hey what's up nez oh yeah what's going on man you guys started already yeah sir i'm in the middle
of my cool of the week oh my bad sorry that's all right hey shh
The other movie I checked out was on epics.
It's called Unhuman.
Nothing really much to tell about this movie.
A bunch of kids on a bus.
Yeah, a bunch of kids on a bus.
Like some kind of incident happens, and there's like zombies,
and you could probably figure out the rest of yourself.
There's nothing.
Young people fighting zombies, so.
Horror fun ensues.
Jeepers 2?
They were on a bus.
Yeah, but stuff was happening.
As for
series, I checked out,
I think we talked about this one
coming on, or we had comments about it,
the 101 scariest
horror movie moments of all
time on Shutter.
Which I thought they were going to
just do like a whole documentary,
but I guess it's a series and
they're only putting out
the specific number at a time.
I think this was 101 to like 85 or something like that.
So I think weekly it's going to be coming out.
I got you.
Like those damn NFL lists.
Yeah, not bad.
I mean, some of them, there's a couple I've never heard of,
and a couple of I probably wouldn't have put on the list as the scariest horror movie moments,
but I can't really judge.
the list until I see the whole thing.
Anything notable?
At this point in the list,
uh,
no.
All right.
I can only remember a couple
movies that were on this part of the list.
It follows and
Salem's lot was in there.
So, yeah.
And but my cool of the week, I
binged it the moment it came out.
as I'm pretty sure you're done with it
and that's uh cobra kai
season five. Oh, you know it.
Uh, yeah. See, I only knew, I only realized it
came out yesterday. I had no chance to watch it yet.
Yeah, with my work schedule, I was just like,
fuck it, just stay up, binge it before you have to go to work.
And I, it just keeps entertaining.
Yeah? Yeah. Um, I don't know
there's going to be a season six. I don't know where they go from here, really,
how they're going to spin off this
last scene
in the episode
or final episode of the season
but I'm all for
it. I'm with it.
The only problem I felt like
the episodes were a little bit shorter than
usual, because it
just seemed to like breeze by, because
usually the episodes are almost an hour.
There was some that was
around like 40 minutes, so.
Well, that's
not necessarily a bad thing. I mean,
sometimes things are good and they just fly by.
Yeah.
So that is my cool of the week.
All right.
Niz, what you got?
I got that banging in the background.
My grandson's in there pounding on a pot or something.
Can you hear it?
He's just making background music.
Yeah.
Hey, man.
It's a future drummer.
Yeah, other than Cobra Kai, that was awesome.
Um, no, uh, spoilers or anything, but, uh, what happened?
Wait until who gets home and she'll fix it.
Sorry.
Um, but, uh, yeah, it was, it was awesome.
I mean, it was already out there that, um, Mike Barnes from, uh, Karate Kid 3 was coming back.
Um, it's not what I wanted, but it was still awesome to see them, uh, especially in action.
I wish we were to go.
more of him.
Yeah. So hopefully
well I guess he doesn't really need to come back
for season six because
yeah, no spoilers. But anyway,
but I was all in.
I totally forgot about it that it dropped.
The next morning I got an email and I saw it
and I ran in there, got everyone to school
and went home and started watching it and then I finished
the rest when I was at work.
So, but it was an awesome
show. I just loved
what was going on and the episodes
45 minutes they should have been
because that last episode was
almost 45 I would say
but got a
karate kid another karate kid three cameo in there
I wasn't expecting
did she need to be in there
no it was like she could just shoot in there
yeah but I like how they connected
yeah how
how Daniel met somebody so
yeah but then I was like
I don't know
know.
My wife.
My wife would have went,
oh, hell no.
I was,
the way they were shoehorning
people in, I was like,
ah, don't do it, don't do it.
Theo's been like,
they need to bring in Jaden.
He would not fit in this timeline.
They already said it's not in the same
universe, so
it would make no sense.
They were in China, not Japan.
So it would make no sense
for him to come in.
I'm still dreading if they bring in, Julie.
You know they are.
There's no need to bring her in.
But other than that, I mean, the whole season was awesome.
I'm going to definitely watch it again because my wife wants to watch it.
But yeah, that was awesome.
The trailer for, oh, I don't know if I guess you're talking about it later, so never mind.
Oh, I watched.
the Harbinger
Yeah,
just,
yeah,
just talking about that.
What did you?
It was all right.
I mean,
it didn't need to be that long.
It was almost two hours,
but yeah,
I think that's what took me out of it.
It was long.
The plot was pretty basic.
And I was,
I was telling Phil,
I basically watched a movie
because I liked a little girl
from the black phone.
I didn't realize that was her until it was over.
Yeah,
you can obviously tell this movie.
was filmed years before the Black Phone
because she was super young and she
didn't really say or do
much in a movie, so.
Yeah, she didn't say nothing really until the end.
But she had like,
it was a decent little indie movie.
Yeah, my only issue was it was too long.
It didn't need to be almost two
hours. They could have wrapped that up an hour and a half.
But shout out to Irene
Bedard. It was good to see her in it. That was the only reason I
watched it because her face was right on the poster.
So I was like,
right, cool. I just met her
at, I met her a few times, actually,
but I just recently saw her
at Stockton Comic-Con, so it was cool to talk
to her. I didn't even know this movie
was out there. I was just kind of clicking around, and I
found it. Okay, let me check this out.
At first I was like, I'll give it
a few minutes, but then I was
kind of sucked into it with the whole
the Reds is cursed and all
that, and it was just
what they thought about the Native was back in
that time, and the Reds wasn't cursed. It was
just it was new to them and they didn't understand what it was so i was like all right cool so
i like that whole aspect of it so but in the end i enjoyed it um i'll go into a little more on the
exe society so go listen to that but um i went out and saw barbarian did you guys see that
no is is it living up to these commercials i've seen where they show the audience all freaking
out in the theater oh dude it was awesome yeah i i had no idea what it was
going to be. I didn't really watch any trailers.
I knew Justin Long was in it and that was it.
I didn't know who else was in the film.
I think we reviewed the trailer, but even
watching the trailer, I think we didn't even know what
we were watching really or what to expect.
Yeah, the trailer does, does,
it does the film justice because it doesn't explain
what's happening.
Because I've listened.
and watched a lot of guys review it,
a lot of non-spoiler reviews,
and nobody could really go into their review
without spoiling it.
So, but,
I think the most I'll do without giving it away.
Yeah, the most I'll do is probably just read the synopsis
if it doesn't give too much away.
And that was it,
because I thought it was awesome.
I had no idea.
I was just expecting another run-of-the-mill basic horror,
end-of-the-year horror film.
but oh man
I was totally surprised on
what was going on
who was in it
because all I knew
Justin Long was in it
I didn't know all these other people
popped up into it
because I like I said I didn't really
pay attention to the trailer
I think I saw a TV spot
but they those are only like
20 30 seconds so
but it was amazing
on on
cinematography
the setting of it
all the score was awesome it got you really into it when it was really intense in a lot of the
scenes and then the third act it kind of like went yeah but it it build up to the ending and stick
around during the credits you don't need to stay all the way to the end i was the only one in
the theater by the time they end credits there was nothing at the end there's they show some
stuff in the beginning of the credits and then that's it but um but overall this is
the film you need to see
on the big screen. It's
to get that feel of the
claustrophobic stuff
that's going on and
to feel how
the main girl is and
Justin Long on how their characters
are feeling throughout the
film. I definitely want to go see this again. I told
my wife and my son, you guys need to see this.
And they're like, well, what is it? I can't tell you.
Just go see it.
Because I know what kind of horror films they like.
I wasn't expecting
I thought it was just going to be like a thriller
because I guess
some of the reviews that came out earlier
they were just like, it's good, go see it.
That was it.
That was pretty much all they could say.
Like the big people.
Because I looked on Rotten Tomatoes first.
I usually don't look at there,
but there was no audience score yet
because I don't think they had a,
I don't think, don't quote me,
I don't think they had like a public screening for it.
It might have just been reviewers,
but they probably told,
them don't nobody say anything until this is out um i remember when i bought my ticket there was only like me
and two other people so i was like oh man it's it's not gonna be good no one's in there but by the time
the movie started there was probably about maybe about 10 of us sitting in there and like one of the
biggest theaters they have so i wasn't expecting much but once the film got going i was like i was
all in i was like man i sat in the very very very
back and I mean just to be away from everyone and again empty theater 10 people in there and these two ladies came up and sat
maybe six seven feet away from me I'm like really out of this whole huge theater you're gonna come sit
next to me I was just like oh me I was like all right whatever but at least they were quiet they didn't
they were older ladies they didn't get on their phones or anything so um
usually someone I'll see a screen pop up but I didn't see any screens everybody was quiet
I think I was the only one that was laughing during some parts that were funny to me but
nobody else must have got them but again it was it was intense it was really really
intense again see this on the big screen if I'm selling it to you because there's some
stuff you're like you're watching it in a dark theater and there's stuff happening in the
dark, but you're like, whoa.
I mean, like I said, the cinematography,
the way they filmed it,
it was just awesome.
That's all I could say without diving into it.
I figured you guys were going to do it,
but I think you should.
You guys should all go see it and then do it.
Yeah. I was waiting to hear somebody that I
knew review on it,
because once I started seeing those advertisements
when they were showing like crowd reactions in the theater,
It reminded me like when Paranoma activity first came out.
It was like the most scariest movie of the year.
This year's surprise hit.
And I was just, okay, let me hear somebody that I know give their opinion on it.
This is definitely on my top 10 of good horror films.
I love the sadness.
I don't know if you guys saw that.
It didn't beat that.
It didn't beat that.
but it's right there with on how I mean as far as I have to go through and I already have like my top 10 movies of the year, but we still got more movies coming.
So slowly things are getting knocked out.
But this movie definitely knocked a couple of movies out because I was so surprised on how good it was.
I don't know if Brother Lance is going to like it, but it was good.
It was a lot of, like, really?
I mean, not a lot of it, but there was a couple of times you were kind of like,
but you get over it.
I mean, it was just, it was a good movie.
It was a really, really, it was a good popcorn movie to watch in a movie theater.
If you have a crowd that will scream and yell, there was a couple screams and jumps.
There was a few younger girls up in the front that, like, threw their hands in the air.
But I think that's what scared me because they screamed like,
loudest.
But other than that, it was an
amazing, amazing film. Definitely
go see this in the theater, if you
can.
And the last thing I saw, did you see fall?
Not yet, but I see
it's available now.
Yeah, that's
that one,
if you can see it in the theater, if it's still
playing in your area, go
see it. If you
afraid of heights like me,
I wish I would have saw this on a theater.
I just saw it on my phone.
On my screen on my phone.
But even though I was still, I was watching it at work.
And I was sitting in between the bag carts watching it.
And there was times where I was grabbing onto the carts.
I have an iPhone, the biggest one they have.
And I was all, I was getting dizzy.
The trailer didn't sell it to me.
I thought it was going to be like, eh, just two stupid.
but girls climbing this tower and getting stuck up there.
It was actually pretty good.
I was surprised on what they did within the film.
The CGI was pretty good.
Obviously, they had built part of the tower so they can stand on it.
Maybe it was green screens.
Or maybe they just, the way they were angling the camera.
Because it did look like it was there was real sky.
But when they were really up top and the camera was spinning around and everything,
I was, oh, I was getting dizzy watching it.
But it was pretty good.
I was shocked.
I was shocked on how much I liked it.
The trailer, it looked dumb.
I remember when we reviewed it, I was kind of like, really?
This is going.
I didn't expect I thought of that.
All right.
But that's, those are the only things that I watched lately.
Yeah, Cobra Chi took up all my TV time.
But that's it.
You okay?
Well, I'm still trudging through Supernatural.
I'm on like season 12, I think, though, so I'm almost there.
You're moving back kind of fast, though.
Yeah, I've got to finish it, but it's like all I've watched.
I did try to watch something on HBO Max.
It was a movie that I ran across.
It looked, it had a cool cover, and it looked like my cover.
kind of movie. It was called, uh, we're, we're all going to the world's fair or something along those
lines. Yeah, I've seen it. Did you watch it? Yeah. Yeah, man, talk about slow.
Slow. I mean, there was, there was a couple of unsettling moments in there. Yeah. But they were like
few and far between each other. So it took a whole lot longer to get there than I, than I,
then I hoped. Although I, I mean, that's definitely an indie movie. It was really small time production.
It looks like it was, you know, made by some girl on her iPhone or something.
But, yeah, I fell asleep towards the end and didn't bother to go back and watch it.
So I guess I can't give it a glowing review.
But it was interesting-ish.
It just took a while to get going.
I like what they were trying to do.
It's just, I don't, maybe it should have been maybe a short film or something instead of
feature length.
Yeah, definitely.
I think as a short film, it probably would have worked really well.
But yeah, this girl, she decides to do this horror internet challenge, and then it changes her.
Or does it?
Or does it?
And so they just kind of log through that.
So maybe not pushing that one.
Although I am really still loving Supernatural, man.
That's a good fucking show.
I know the prequel series is about to come out here soon.
You're going to jump into that after?
Oh, no.
Is there another?
It's called the What is it called?
The Winchesters.
Maybe.
Does it have any of the same people in it?
I have no idea.
I've never seen the series, so I wouldn't know.
Oh, I got you.
I think it's about to start here shortly.
The main characters are pretty fucking cool, man.
Sam and Dean, I like those guys.
and the way that they play off each other, it works.
It's like a buddy cop comedy horror thing.
All right.
Well, that's all we got for Cool of the Week.
We got any horror headlines, Brian?
Not really.
I mean, we got some cancellations and some renewals on TV.
That original sin, whatever series.
on HBO Max.
That got renewed for a second season.
That's the series I was hate watching.
Oh, I got you.
Everybody was ridiculously annoying in it and doing stupid shit.
So that's renewed for a second season,
but Paper Girls on Amazon has been canceled after one season,
which was kind of strange because last time I had checked,
I thought it got pretty high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.
Really?
So, but, you know, I guess people would rather see high school girls doing stupid shit on HBO Max.
Over off, over on the Skater Nest podcast network on ESP shorts, I did the short film Slut, directed by Chloe Okuno.
She was supposed to direct the serial killer true crime thriller.
I don't know if I even said all that right.
It sounded like a mish-mosh words.
But she was directing this true crime, serial killer movie called Dating Game.
She is out.
And Anna Kendrick is going to make her directorial debut directing it.
And I think she's also in the movie, too.
So I'm not sure.
The Anna Kendrick.
The Anna Kendrick.
All right.
Director Anna Kendrick.
Yes.
we'll see how that was
Kevin Smith has confirmed
the sequel to Tusk is happening
what it is
speaking of Justin Long
even though I got it wrong last week
I'll watch it but
I wasn't
I was sold until they showed it
and then I was kind of like
huh
oh on the first one
yeah I was
I was all in
because I like that crazy doctor guy.
Yeah.
Because he was good in,
what was that other Kevin Smith movie?
Red State.
He was awesome in that.
So I really liked.
And his long dialogue he had in Tusk was good.
It was just when we finally got to see it.
I was kind of like,
uh,
it was better than that follow-up that's in the Tusk universe
that yoga hosers out.
Oh my gosh. Oh, I never
watched that one. Kevin Smith, I love
you, but man, that movie was garbage.
I kind of think you should watch it
because it's so bad.
It might
be his worst movie.
Ouch.
It's Johnny Depp's worst movie. I'll tell you that.
Johnny Debs been
some stinkers too, man.
I don't know.
He, I guess they were just buddies
and the only way to get his daughter to do her acting and she didn't do a good job.
I see she's, I can't remember exactly, but I think she got cast in some pretty big movies here coming out, his daughter.
Really?
Yeah.
Because of who her dad is, that's probably why.
Hopefully, she doesn't have the same agent as his because whoever's getting him these movie roles is.
fucking
well i think i think he's just doing the i'm gonna be weird because everyone thinks i am and i'm
gonna do all these crazy movies i don't think he's being weird i think he just is weird
yeah he's he's got that uh oh god damn i can i'm blanking on the writer's name
the one he played in uh fear and loathing oh god goddeme i hunter hunter hs tons
Yeah, he's, he's got, I think because he hung around that guy so much, he's got that mentality.
Yeah, he hung around him and then he did Pirates of the Caribbean and thought he was a pirate after that.
Yeah.
I'll give it to him, though, man.
I mean, Johnny, I mean, I love him.
I did, speaking of pirates when he went to the Children's Hospital and did it as Jack Sparrow for, I guess, there was some big fans of his in there.
I thought that was really cool of him to do to get into character and everything to go in there and help
The kids that are going through other medical issues and even a star lord and um
What does nuts kept in America they did it too yeah, I like star lord showed up in the outfit he stole from the set
that's cool i like when they do that i mean shout out to john sina as well oh speaking to
wrestling everyone um we had some issues dude my internet didn't come on until the next day like
i know we were we were just about getting to the main event and technical issues oh no but
wrestling return it'll be out uh later late late this evening early morning well we'll finish it
brian all right uh let's see uh sorority babes and
slime ball ballerama
two is now filming
Is that another trauma movie?
Yes.
No, not trauma.
No.
Oh, moon.
Yeah.
This one will be directed
by Brinky Stevens.
She was in it, right?
I don't remember.
I saw it once.
Shout out to my brother,
sweet Rob.
Love you, brother.
Rest and peace.
He made me watch that bullshit.
You didn't like the,
He wasn't a genie.
He was, an imp?
I don't know.
I was just sitting there mad.
I couldn't believe I was watching it.
I didn't realize how big of a cult classic it was.
Because I'd never heard of it at the time.
And he was like, no, no, you got to watch it.
We've got to watch it.
So I was like, all right.
And I was like, uh.
I've never seen it.
When was that first one?
That one was a long time ago, wasn't it?
Late 80s.
Yeah.
That's a long time.
I'm gonna go, boys and girls.
Let's see. Scream 6 has finished
filming is on track for its
2023 release.
Scream 6.
Fuck a name, man. Why not?
And I guess
Cidda...
That's not her name. Her name's not Sidney
Prescott.
Neb Campbell?
Yeah, I guess she's not in it,
as it seems.
Hey.
Oh, man. I saw her Texas
Frightmare.
Who! Hot damn.
oh there's not really no
news to talk about
uh i guess we'd talk about
texas frightmare
john carpenter
is going to be a texas frightmare
how long is that line going to be
no shit yeah i thought about this
that was the first thing because i was like i need
i need my thing steel book signed by john carpenter
but then i was like how long is the fucking line going to be but then i
remember bigger
place now so maybe
well yeah it's at a convention center so that's cool and they won't uh cap the line because
the hotel it was so small because they capped it the last year when i was the last the last time
for um what's his nuts chucky brad durf yeah his line uh if you were you guys there when dario
or gentr was there i don't remember no i don't think so um i just remember
remember we were in the, I was there when we were in the Bruce Campbell line and I think Phil
got one of the last tickets. Yeah, they kept that one. Yeah. No, where he was, that was, it's,
it's in that room, but right where you walk through the doors off to the left, because, uh,
they were there and then his line went down, down the hallway. And that's where they had
Darya Argento and, uh, meatloaf that one year. So, yeah. Oh, yeah. And, uh, what's his name?
Tim Curry.
I think it was Tim Curry.
I can't remember.
Whoever was right there.
That line went down that hallway and they capped it.
So, again, I don't know how big this place is.
I assume it's huge if it's a convention center.
So I just really want more guests and more awesome vendors because it seemed like it was really not that many vendors as there was last year.
like the one room off to the left
was pretty packed
but the other one
it was
it seemed like empty
but they had
all the other guests in there
so we'll see how it goes
but I couldn't get a room
in the hotel that's across the street
so I don't know
what's going to happen
if anything I got to go
sleep with my friend's house but I don't know
we'll see
Are you guys going?
Yeah, I'm going.
I will be booking my room
here sometime next week.
All right. Well, dude, I'll go in on it with you.
All right, cool.
Cool.
Well, you got to go, Ness, because your girl's going to be there
to celebrate the 40th anniversary of sleepaway camp.
Oh, I'll be there.
Melissa Rose.
I'm going to see her next month in Vegas at Nightmare Toys.
Everyone go over there.
Awesome toy star. Been there before.
It's Felissa Rose, Christopher, Colette, and just announced a few hours ago, Karen Fields, and Catherine Cam High, probably pronounced some of those names wrong.
So it's like they're doing a whole panel for the 40th anniversary of Sleepaway Camp.
Yeah, that one bitchy-ass counselor that was hooking up with the old man that was running the camp.
She's the one that got the curling iron in a special place?
No, that was the other one.
That was a little mean girl that was mean to Angela.
No, she was the camp counselor.
And she was, she liked old rugged men.
Oh, she was supposed to go on the date with the...
Oh, yeah, three balls.
But she got killed in the shower.
All right, we're going to have to commentary that one before Texas Frightman.
Are they going to have the one kid?
I forgot his name.
The one kid the guy's head cut off is going to be there.
No, the one,
somebody told him to eat,
eat shit and die.
He was like,
no,
eat shit and live.
Oh,
no,
he's not,
her brother,
no,
he's her cousin,
he's not there.
Unless they,
they're trying to get him,
but I don't know,
we'll see.
That kid was awesome in that movie.
That whole movie was awesome.
I mean,
my son Eric,
watched it for the first. Well, we actually, we went to Days of the Dead in Vegas, and we met
Felissa Rose, and he, he'd never seen the movie, so he didn't know who she was. And shout out
to her. She remembered me from Texas. So I was like, ah, I put that big of an impressor,
impression on her. So she goes, I remember you? And I was like, all right, cool, right on.
That was cool. It made me just, ah, made me love her more because out of billions of people she'd
Sieger goes, yeah, I remember you.
I mean, unless she just says that to everyone, but I don't know.
We went home and watched that movie that night.
We just went down there for the day and then flew back home.
We watched the movie, and he was like, I said, son, this was in the early 80s, so times were different, especially with the fashion.
Because he was like, what's up with these high-ass shorts and these cut-off shirts and these guys are wearing?
I'm like, yeah, the belly shirts, man.
that was a weird time.
I said, I didn't wear any of that stuff, but
I said different times.
But he liked it. He wants
to see the rest of them. I said, well,
you could have to do that on your own because I
two and three
and however, the last one
was good. Return to Sleepaway Camp.
Was that with the
bigger kid?
Trying to be,
trying to be
the fat kid. I wasn't trying to say
fat kid.
Oh, I'm
I don't remember.
The only thing I remember this.
The guy with the cam counselor, the big buff dude with the tight shorts and balls hanging out,
he came back in that last one.
Yeah, okay.
That is it.
That is the movie.
He came back.
And I think Isaac Hayes was in it, too.
As chef.
Yeah.
Other people from the original one came back.
or um angela's cousin i think he was a can i can't remember i just remember the one counselor was there
he was still all big and buff and with his short shorts and everything but uh yeah
i'm ready man i texas right from here
luck that's gonna be awesome
uh before we get out of news uh nes since you hear is this friday thirteenth movie happening
I don't know
I mean
I don't want to get too excited
until I know
and see pictures of them
filming it
but I got into it
with some idiot online
he was like oh man
they were like
oh this is gonna be the
this is part 13
I said this ain't part 13
it's the 13th movie
but it ain't part 13
so whoever said that
and you were listening
come on eat a dick
but anyway
I don't know
if this is going to be
a continuation of the
the reboot or
is it just going to be
another adventure
of Jason Borhees? I want
to see what I
want as a Friday 13th fan, as
an old man that was there from the beginning,
I want a part 11.
I want to see
the Uber Jason on Earth 2
because we don't know if we died.
He just came burning out of the sky. I want to
see that. I know some guys will read
the comic books. I would love
too, but I ain't paying the prices that these fools are selling those Jason X comic books for.
As even the books, the novels that they wrote, hell no, it's, I remember seeing them all,
going, I'll get them later, I'll get them later.
I'm just kicking myself for that I didn't, I didn't buy them when I saw them, because the comic
books are going for a pretty penny.
It was a limited run, so whatever is out there is out there.
but um if it's a continuation from the the reboot one all right i mean i'll watch it
friday 13th but uh there is rumors oh they're just going to start it over again i'm like don't
start it over again just can give us to just another movie of jason killing that's all we want to
see and then there's also rumors over like oh it might be in the 80s again oh i'm all for it but
I'll watch it, but I'm more looking forward for the next
never hike alone or whatever they're calling the next one.
That's what I'm excited for.
Because if you guys, listeners, if you guys have seen those first two,
never hike alone and never hike in the snow, oh man,
those were awesome.
So we'll see.
Get that guy to direct the next one.
I know, man. He did a good job. And he was Jason in those films.
but um right now it's just rumors i know sam cunningham came out and said something but it wasn't like
yeah i'm starting production i'm i'm just gonna wait until we see i know a lot of guys went to work
already on trailers say it oh this is the next one if you're a diehard super duper fan like i am
you can pick out all the parts that they got from all the other movies just to make it's cool
I like that they do this, but
when they try to sell it off,
as, oh, this is the next
Friday of 13, man.
Come on.
But.
Fan trailers.
I don't know.
I'm just waiting to see what's to come.
And I'll,
good or bad, I'll see it.
I guess this latest thing I'm looking at right here
is says,
New Line Cinema teases that
the new film is moving forward.
Okay.
Is this still a part of,
because that last one,
it was New Line and Paramount.
I don't know. I don't know who owns it.
There's so many people coming out saying the movies moving forward, but I'm just like,
do you own it? Are you a part of it? Are you just hearing something?
As long as the mention doesn't get his hands on it.
Yeah. So I don't know. We'll see.
And I guess we should end news right there.
All right.
on down to the trailer park.
I don't have the same energy as Lance,
but we're going to bring you the big,
the small,
and sometimes the very,
very weird.
What is our trailers this week?
Brian,
what are our trailers this week?
Well,
since we have,
you guys are bigger Star Wars fans than me,
I'm a fan,
but not as big as you guys.
So I guess we'll start with the Mandalorian season three.
Okay.
What you guys think?
So he's not a Mandalorian?
anymore. Apparently not.
How did they know he took the mask off?
I don't know, maybe one of those other ones.
Grogoo Tell him.
Grosha Banks. I sold him out unless Luke went
and sold him out. I don't know.
The Mandalorian always know.
Unless there was video,
video feeds in that ship
there were when he took his helmet off.
Well, he took it off. He took it off when he went
to...
When him and Bill Burr, shout-up to Chokin-G, when they went into that Imperial thing,
and he dressed up like a, he took it off then.
Or, like, didn't he take it off at the end of the first season with that droid?
Yeah, but there wasn't anybody.
He wasn't human.
He wasn't human.
Well, maybe they got some kind of video feed off of repairing the droid or something.
No, he's dead.
Remember he went into the lava and sunk?
Oh, that's right.
I was waiting for the thumbs up to come up like the terminator.
That would have been awesome.
You know, somebody suggested it.
They were like, no, we can't do that.
Yeah, I don't.
Somebody told, I don't know who.
I don't know if little Grogu still has his little shark suit,
that little steel cage that he had on.
I don't know if he still has.
had that or not.
Here.
Hey, little buddy, how you doing?
They wave.
This is the youngest.
This is a buster.
Are you going to be saying anything?
Or you got to go in there.
You want to be part of the horror returns?
You got to say something.
Guess not.
Can't go on there.
Yeah, I don't know.
I wasn't like super impressed with the last season.
So we'll see if they can
totally redeem themselves.
I mean, the trailer looks good.
We'll see how it goes.
I'm curious to see how it works if he's not a part of the Mandalorian clan and he's just on his own,
which sort of makes sense because he's kind of the, you know, Clint Eastwood Western loner guy.
And he has been the whole series.
So, I mean, I know he had his clan back in him, but it may be good that he's back on his
own with everybody against him.
Well, he can go with
Starbucks and the boss,
Sasha Banks.
Oh.
He can go hang out with them.
Because they took their helmets off.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, their helmets off the whole goddamn time.
That's good one.
Yeah.
So, I don't know.
Or Boba Fett.
I mean, he ran around with no helmet through
his whole series.
Well,
they technically wasn't.
They're a little hypocritical about their rules.
I think
Din Jarn was like the last of the ones that was really keeping it real
Yeah
Like the armorer she she kept it real
But for some reason I have a feeling
She's gonna take her helmet off for whatever reason
But I just want more Grogu
And you can bring me Luke again
Because oh
That just that was amazing
I thought he looked better the second time we saw him
Compared to when we first
saw him because the
morphine of his face that they
tried to make him look young.
It didn't look too good. But the second time
when he came, or when he came back, or when
they went to go see Grogu, I
thought he looked really good.
So, yeah, but
I'm in. I know we've got to wait
until next year, but
I'm all in.
This came out for Disney Plus
day or was just the D23 thing?
D23? This
came out today.
as we're recording.
So I thought we would have got some Asoka stuff.
I know there was some casting finally for the Acolytes.
Good to see.
That's the show I'm waiting for the Acolytes.
I want to see what's up with the other side, the dark side.
Yeah, I hadn't really been keeping up with it a whole lot lately.
I don't know.
I'm sort of wait and see on pretty much anything Star Wars at this point.
I mean, the Mandalorian has got a good track record, so hopefully it'll be good.
Did you see that OV-1, the making of the season, the series?
I didn't even finish the series.
Oh, it was only an hour, but man, it was good.
I mean, just to see how they made it and all that that room that they're
they filmed everything in. It was like just basically
a big round movie screen.
I thought that was awesome
on how they did it all.
And then showing
when they brought back Hayden Christensen,
when they brought back Liam Neeson.
Spoiler alert, we guys didn't see the last
episode of Obi-1.
But it was good.
It was a good little series.
And Mandalorian, I wasn't
let down with
the seasons we got before.
Boba Fett was the one. I was
kind of like,
okay.
Well, that's kind of what I meant.
The Mandalorian stuff was all pretty cool.
The crazy lady that fixes his ship is a little much.
She needs her own show.
I don't want to watch that.
I like her in Little Spurt.
She's a good comic relief.
But, man, I don't eat her like through a whole episode.
I like her.
This one.
So.
And what, I don't know if it's a girl or a female or male.
Uh, I think it was a female.
Um, the Babu Frick from solo.
Was it solo?
Or no.
Uh, Rise of Skywalker.
That little alien that, uh, help fix, uh, somebody.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
There's, there's, there's, yeah, I remember.
And they popped that popped up in the trailer.
Yeah.
Is that what that was?
That little thing.
Yeah.
They showed it really quick.
That would be a fun device to sell more toys.
All right, the Mandalorian no release date, but it will be coming next year.
Okay, 2023.
Also part of D23 today, of course, they had to announce some Marvel stuff.
I'm not going to go through.
all the news, but we'll talk about the couple trails they dropped.
The first one was Armor Wars, which they teased was going to be like their espionage spy
thriller series, which I definitely got that feel from it.
It's going to be a lot of, I think this, of course, is going to set up secret wars.
Is this the secret invasion one?
Yeah.
Yeah.
That is not happy.
Um, I just, I just assume it's in this multiverse.
Um, oh, I didn't even think about that.
Because it's, it's not the real secret wars.
Go read the comic books if you guys want to know what the real story was.
Um, because in this secret wars or whatever they're doing, uh, Captain America is not going to be there.
Iron Man is not going to be there.
Or are they?
Well, whoever's going to be, well, what's his name?
Falcon will, or he's Captain American now.
And whoever's going to take over that Iron Man.
They officially said, I forgot the actor's name.
He was in the Falcon Winter Soldier, the Hispanic guy, the younger dude that was helping him out.
I don't remember.
Yeah.
Basically, there's a scene where his broken wings are there.
and he's trying to give him to Sam,
and he's like, what do you want me to do with these?
And he tells him, well, you keep them.
They officially now say that actor is going to be Falcon.
Oh, okay.
So.
I vaguely remember that.
Yeah, it was like a quick little scene.
The guy that was in it was,
he's probably in, like, a handful of scenes throughout the series.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I was actually kind of excited about this one,
the Samuel Jackson's coming back, right?
Yeah, is his, is his eye better?
I don't know.
It looks like he's got scratches and shit.
Maybe he's just not wearing his patch.
They could have fixed it.
Yeah.
He's in his face.
Or is it Sam Jackson?
Oh, good point.
They could fix him.
If it's Sam Jackson in the movie, I'm happy.
I love that guy.
Captain Marvel can fix him.
Bring her back.
Yay!
It looked like it had a more like serious tone to it.
Like this is the Marvel shit I want to get back to, right?
They've had a whole lot of just silly slap sticky kind of movies and shows and stuff lately.
And I'm watching She-Hulk.
No, I haven't seen it at all.
I'm not interested at all.
I don't care.
Yeah, but in defense of She-Hawk, they told you it was going to be slap-sticky comedy.
Well, I knew it was.
That's why I'm not watching.
it. I'm like, all right.
You got Megan the
stallion in it. I didn't even know who
that was. I knew the song
once I heard it, but I thought
that was somebody they just made up.
It's one of the biggest artists
out there coming out of Houston.
I don't.
I remember Megan when
she was, I would see her freestyles
online back
before anybody knew
who the hell she was.
yeah I still didn't know who she was
until I heard the song
I went oh okay it's this one
hey I wasn't mad that she hulked twerking
she hoax I wasn't either
she's looking bright
in this last
very pretty
this last episode the CGI did not look good
yeah I was gonna say I'm not awesome
though and it didn't look good in the previews
and to
I still haven't watched it though
and to be honest that guy she took home with her
she probably should have killed him
with what they were getting into.
Yeah.
I was seeing she
brings a guy home from the bar
and you know what takes place
after that.
In my mind
with her power
and she's banging somebody
as she hog, that guy probably should have died.
Yeah, that muscle
down there with a
might be worth the risk.
But
there's no cast list.
on IMDB. I know Don Cheadle's
back as War Machine.
I saw in there
Ben Mendelsso is back
as his character from Captain Marvel.
And
also, I don't know what
Nobody knows where her character is, but
Amelia
Clark from Game of Thrones
Denarius.
She's in there. Connor?
Yeah, no, I guess they're keeping her secret
or her character is secret right now.
Yeah, because she didn't
show up in the preview, huh?
I think once.
Did she?
Star Wars to the MCU?
I just
got to make that money.
Yeah, and then they had that girl
that was from the
that
series that they did.
The
God damn it, the agents of shield or whatever.
Oh.
She pops up.
The one that's always with
Nick Fury.
Yeah.
Oh, like it on her name.
Not that it's a big bring back, because nobody fucking watched that show.
I always think, I know her real name is Colby Smolders.
And for some reason, I always think that's her character's name because that sounds like a character's name.
Yeah, it sounds totally made up. It probably is.
Maria Hill.
That's her name.
Maria Hill.
I don't know why I can't ever remember Maria Hill, but.
Because Colby Smother.
coldly smolders
smolders that's hard to say
did you guys watch miss marvel
yes no
that was awesome
I wasn't it
I didn't hear anything
that was good
Marvel either it was something again that I just wasn't
interested at all and definitely
parts of it was of course
geared to her younger crowd
but yeah
I like her edition
in the emcees
it was better than Moon Night
because Moon Night was garbage
Well, I only saw one episode, but
The first episode
I guess, and then it got weird.
Theo was like, oh, it's like,
I tried, I fell asleep,
but I'm going to have to
go and finish
or go back and watch it.
Because I started that first episode
and I just really couldn't get into it.
So I knew Miss Marvel was out.
I said, you know what?
Let me just give this shot and I'll go back to Moon Night.
But man, I was all in
after that first episode of Miss Marvel.
Moon Night, I kind of had to
cut coming back, you know, I'd watch a couple
episodes and take a break
with Miss Marvel. I thought it was fun.
I just, I think I ended up
binging. I waited until it finished, and I
binged it in like a couple days.
But Moon night.
Last couple episodes of Moon Night,
they get real silly.
Yeah.
I was never really a fan of that
character. That was probably why I didn't really get
to know. I thought it was cool, but I mean, I've never read the
comics or anything. It was just the
cool.
looking character. I liked his abilities
and all that shit. I used to collect the cards.
Since we're talking
about Moon Night, we're going to segue
into the next
Marvel trailer, and that's Werewolf
by Night.
What is this?
I don't know
if this, it's a
special presentation that clearly
wanted you to know that by the opening.
I think this is just going to be a
one-off to introduce
this character.
you if you in the comics you would see this character with like moon night blade you know
those kind of characters but i don't necessarily know for getting the the little
i don't know if it's a short movie or whatever
what it is but i don't know if we're going to get it how the trailer is i thought the trailer was
cool it was kind of like an old school universal monster flick
yeah that's what they're going for i know it's for i know they're
just for Halloween so
I'm
the character's all right but
we'll see
what they're going to do I mean I'm I already
I'm now I'm like I'm just
all this stuff we're getting isn't like the
comic books but I'm still going to gripe and bitch you complain
about it but I'll still watch them no matter what but
um it looks good
I like the whole black and white thing and yeah like you said
the universal monster
type
presentation. I think that's
really cool. I've noticed that
Disney Plus is
depending on what part of the world you're in.
They have the real
hard stuff on there
and everything.
Because they did put out that
like the dare doubles and the Punisher
and all that.
Because right when all that
before that dropped there was a big
disclaimer.
now there's these more edgy shows in the Marvel universe
yeah you have to you have to watch the yeah you have to set your settings now
to watch yeah so and some like my friends in Canada
their FX is on Disney Plus yeah I guess it's not on Hulu
so um because a lot of parents were like oh my guy why are you putting all this stuff on
there and I'm going to cancel my
subscription. I'm like
it just take a couple clicks
of your remote.
Yeah, set your settings. Put a password on there.
Yeah, that's all it is.
There's always
one or two Yahoo's that are going to complain about
something and then they just make a big stink on the internet.
That's how it works.
All mine are just open for whatever.
There's little guys.
They only watch Disney
or
the YouTube,
Ryan's World Kid.
shout out to him.
The kid that according to his videos never ages.
Oh, he does.
And his voice is deeper.
And from what I was reading, that kid's worth like a billion dollars.
And there he is.
Good for you, kid.
I see his toys at Walmart.
Good for you, man.
I hope you saving your money for college.
Probably not.
You better go to college.
Well, I did some work for a lady whose daughter was,
got signed on for some Disney thing
because they had like a YouTube channel or something
and she made enough for college
just doing YouTube shit for Disney
and then she kind of aged out of it and quit
and hey, free college.
Like the
little girl that played Leah
and Obi-1.
I know her parents.
Yeah. I didn't even know
that that was their daughter.
This is back in my musical career.
They were in a band that we used to play with all the time.
And my buddies were in that band as well.
One of my friends, shout out to Robbie.
He's the one that said, hey, man, did you know this is Liz and Andrews' daughter?
I was like, what?
I had to do some research.
And yeah, I found pictures of her with their mom and dad.
I was like, wow.
Good for them.
Because I think that little girl stole the show in that sense.
series.
Yeah, I found out my best friend's cousin did like bubble guppies.
Like, what the hell?
You don't know.
Your kids ain't on bubble guppies?
I don't even know what that is.
Never heard of it.
Unless I see a picture of it.
It's weird little fish things.
When you hear the little song, it gets stuck in your head.
Yeah.
But like one of the main characters is voiced by my best friend's cousin.
Oh, shit.
Never seen these kids before.
All right.
Let's get on to the last trailer because we're talking about bubble guffies now.
Yeah, that took a weird turn.
We're going to be on Disney Plus.
Didn't give a release day, but it's supposed to be on Disney Plus this October for Halloween.
Oh, speaking of Werewolf by Night, that's going to be an episode for ESPs 31 Days of Horror.
It's the only way I can get the O.
It's the only way I can get the O.
on it.
Is that one like a series or is just like a little two hour special or something?
I don't even think it'll be two hours.
I think it'll be an hour at most, a little one-off.
Just a little one-off episode?
Yeah.
Okay.
Brian, yeah, we'll do that with us.
Yeah, we'll see that character in the MCU, but as far as this, I think it's just like
a little hour one-off special for Halloween.
Let's introduce them the easy way.
Yeah.
I know a lot of people are saying the way they're going.
going to introduce it is kind of like gateway
horror for kids. So I don't
know if this is how they're pushing their more
adult content
on Disney Plus.
So,
I don't know.
Looks fine.
Yeah, I'll take it.
And finally, to close
out the year is
the sequel to
Knives Out, and that's Glass Onion,
a Knives Out mystery.
A stupid fucking name.
Will you guys all
Were you all over that first one?
I liked the first one.
Yeah, I liked it.
I saw it after the fact.
It was all right.
The way everyone was like,
oh my guy's like the greatest movie ever.
So Theo, too, man.
I love him to death, come on.
But that's his boy,
Ryan Johnson.
He surprised the shit out of me for Ryan Johnson.
He ruins dogs.
I always say Ryan Johnson
is good when he's doing
like
Correction
Kathleen Kennedy
ruined Star Wars
Yeah
Ryan Johnson
That was his story
That was his story
That was his story that he ruined
JJ handed him the story
And he said all right
And then
threw it out the window
And
Let's see
What we saw
Why would they hand him
The story
Without having some sort of
Conclusion to it
Well that's what I'm saying
Reduction
Because J.J.
Abrams had laid the story out here
Here it is
And
do what you guys want
Hey.
Who the fuck?
It's the second movie to somebody else.
Well, that's what I'm saying.
That's why I think Ryan Johnson's better when he does movies like this,
because this is something he comes up with.
If you give him, like if Marvel, if we read tomorrow,
Marvel hired him to do the next fucking Spider-Man movie.
It might suck because he's going to try to change it to make it his own thing
and not follow the.
So, I mean, the couple of things I seen when he did it,
there were like original stories
that had no ties to anything were good
but I think when you give him something
that's part of a bigger franchise
he's gonna
I like that one movie
I want Bruce Willis
and um yeah that was
good yeah
I didn't like how
I didn't like how what's his name
look when they put that fake nose on him
you didn't think he looked just like Bruce Willis
no
he should have just been himself
but that
was a good movie. I liked it.
I didn't even realize they did a fake
nose on him. Yeah,
they tried to make him like young
who was it, Joseph Gordon Levis.
They tried to make him like young Bruce Willis.
Yeah, and I like that guy.
Didn't work out.
All right, let's go.
It was a good movie though.
Synapses. Fame Southern
Detective Benoit Blanc travels
to Greece for his latest
case.
And this stars of course
Daniel Craig Edward Norton, who has
fucking some weird eyes near the end of this trailer
uh...
Kate he's a weird dude
Kate Hudson
Dave Batista
Jessica Hanwick
Ethan Hawke
Catherine Hahn
Madeline Klein
Janelle Monet
Leslie Odom Jr
and of course you guys
mentioned
this is written and directed by Ryan Johnson
I like the first one
this kind of got me
and my daughter
it got my daughter into like
murder mysteries
Yeah.
So I think this is coming out of the right time, you know, end of the year.
Netflix, good murder mystery.
I'm into it.
Oh, it's going to Netflix?
Yeah, he signed a deal with Netflix.
I think this is going to be a franchise continuing on Netflix.
Are your movie theaters going out of business?
I was reading something that.
Oh, Regal?
Some, I guess.
Yeah, whatever kind.
I don't know if they're going out of business.
Because I never understand bankruptcy because it seems like when people file bankruptcy, they're still doing business.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's just a get rid of debt situation, usually.
Just like when we talked about weeks ago, the whole HBO or Warner, Shelvin, Batgirl for tax purposes, even though the movie cost them $90 million and they're saving money now.
Like, how did that happen?
I don't understand taxes.
Yeah.
They're out 90 million, but I still want to see it.
That's by design, man.
They fucking make it complicated so that normal people can't do it.
Somebody will leak it and then somebody will approach you with an old school thing called a DVD.
Yeah.
Ask if you want to buy it.
I'll buy it.
I want to see it.
If it's done, I want to see it.
I want to, I mean,
they finished it.
Is it done and put together or is it just done in pieces?
I heard it was finished.
Like edited and everything?
Finished.
Had a release date.
The new Warner Brothers people looked at it.
I know we're way off of Glass Onion right now,
but the new Warner Brother people looked at it and it was like,
it's not good enough for the theaters.
It's not good enough for HBO Max.
It's never coming out.
Or they're saving it until people are asking for it.
Except I'm not sure if anybody's ever going to ask for Beck.
I read that because they're,
They're shelving it for tax purposes.
They are not allowed to release it.
Yeah, until it gets leaked one day.
So, yeah, it needs to be late.
Sell it to somebody else and let them release.
Sell it to Netflix.
I mean, they bought the monsters.
When's that come out?
I don't know.
I'll watch it.
This month?
September 27th, I think.
I'm going to watch it.
Just waiting for Indoor.
Oh, yeah.
That new trailer came out today.
I didn't watch it.
I saw the first trailer.
That's all I need to watch.
I don't need to...
I think they're putting out too many trailers.
Yeah, just wait until it comes out.
But what's this one?
Glass onion or...
Glass onion.
Glass onion, a Knives Out Mystery.
I'm pretty sure.
At least I hope...
I hope they reference why it's called Glass Onion.
Because that'd be kind of weird if they'd never reference
Glass Onion in the movie.
Call it a glass parpe.
everybody likes parfay
I like the first
one I like murder mysteries
and I think the cast looks phenomenal
so
I'm in
it's like barbarian
you have to think about it to get it
but
I was like where's the barbarian
I was like for the barbarian brothers
to come in
oh we gotta do that
yeah
I was just about the side
did you pick up the Blu-ray
no
but uh
I've seen it. I haven't seen it. I haven't seen it. I saw in a theater.
I got the Blu-ray sitting over here, still in the plastic.
I was going to tell you, we need to do the Barbarian brothers.
I like them in DC Cab. That one was hell of funny. Shout out to Joel SchuMarker. Rest and peace.
All right. Knives out.
December 23rd on Netflix and I think in select theaters.
All right, on to listener feedback.
This week, the podcast spotlight shines on the spooky roundtable.
I'm your host, T.
Well, not me, but you know what I mean.
While you might know me as the ghoul behind my goolish adventures,
I also wanted to create a spooky coffee talk, if you will.
You know, like a spooky round table.
From horror to pop culture, this is a place to let your freak flag fly.
So sit a spell and join the circle.
And I got a chance to listen to their black phone review,
and I think they will highly disagree with Lance's review on the black phone.
Lance has gone off the rails lately.
I never can't really tell what he's going to like and not like at this point.
He probably liked the movie that you and me questioned in the beginning of this.
The one we questioned what we did mention which one.
I'm pretty sure you and me are on the same page.
Yeah.
I don't know with Lance sometimes.
I don't know what he's going to say about certain movies.
Yeah.
Well, hey, always a wild card.
Yeah.
But an interesting podcast.
It's the one host, and I think she, like the name suggests,
roundtable, she brings on other guests.
And the episode I got a chance to listen to was Black Phone.
and people do reviews a lot more,
I'll say, smarter than we do our reviews
because they were kind of tapping into some stuff.
I was just kind of like, huh,
didn't even really think about that,
but very interesting one.
And she said thank you for putting us in our podcast spotlight.
Oh, absolutely.
Yeah, spooky roundtable.
Check that one out.
Regarding the new poster for the black phone
Colton Art says this is great, well done.
It was a pretty cool picture, huh?
Yeah.
Black phone with a face coming out of it.
Yeah, on Sundays I like to post different people's poster arts they do for movies.
So on Sunday, if you follow us on any social media,
I post every Sunday new poster art.
Yeah, here's one for listener feedback.
Go check out the horror returns group, man.
We post some pretty cool shit.
Well, Brian, you know.
Regarding Pipe Down, Super Main Production says,
I played the slasher villain in a short horror movie and video called Pipe Down.
Brian, maybe you should cover that one for your short film series, huh?
Yeah, I was thinking about it.
I think I, when I, going back to the poster arts, I posted, I think I did one for, I posted one for the thing.
No, I'm looking at that one right now.
Okay.
So I think that's where he commented on.
Okay.
Yeah, I'll check it out.
Where's this black phone one?
I think we're sitting in the Hort Turns group.
I think we'll sit here.
Regarding the Halloween is Forever podcast, the Hounds of Hors says off to check it out now.
Halloween is forever.
Is that one good?
You guys seen now?
Halloween Forever is a great podcast.
I have not got a chance to hear the Hounds of Horror, but that's why we post other podcasts.
I like to think we all take care of each other, introduce each other.
Horror movies are a horror podcast.
It's a pretty cool group of people, man.
Everybody's interesting and unique.
I like it.
I just been listening to the horror virgin.
Horror virgin.
That shows a hell funny.
Yeah, we talked about that.
Shout out to Peach.
I like a pod morton.
It's a brother and sister and then the sister.
and then the sister's husband.
I like their dynamic,
and they're back and forth,
and they're out of Texas, too.
They go to Texas Frightmane.
I think they've been in the last few years.
We got to hook up with everybody
when we're up there, man.
All right.
Horror movie crew says, thank you.
We hope everyone is enjoying the videos on YouTube.
There's another one, horror movie crew.
Check those guys out.
And some more love for Los Espookis.
I love the name.
Al Ram Suris says
Losa Spookies is a great show.
Actually, he said
Los Spookis.
He's great show, but you know it.
Dark Night of the podcast says
Thank you for sharing.
Of course. No problem.
Check out Dark Night of the podcast.
Regarding the fly.
Zim Vader.
I was wondering where he was there.
No shit, right?
We can't go a week without him.
I'd be disappointed.
We'd have to call him up.
Says,
Goldblum's most perfect performance.
I'm not mad at that.
Yeah.
I'm trying to think.
I mean, Jurassic Park, but...
Dude, the fly?
He was great.
Yeah, this was a different level
that his performance in Jurassic Park, so...
Yeah.
I can't argue with it.
See that last one?
Dress?
Dominion?
Yeah.
I picked up the steel book.
I didn't open it.
I liked it.
I got to watch this extended version or whatever on Peacock.
On the cock.
Yeah, I liked it.
You got to watch the extended version on the cock.
All right.
Sorry.
How drunk was he?
in the last episode
I think it was
I think it was a good movie
I'm not like jumping to go watch it again
so there's that
yeah I just
I haven't gotten to it yet
I know the family
the family's seen all the movies
so I think I'm just more so waiting
for when everybody gets a chance to
watched together, so.
It was better than the last one.
Oh, for sure.
Well, that's not hard to do.
Regarding the new Hellraiser,
Jeff Hernandez says,
what does everybody think about this one?
Lance says it's going to be hard to beat the original,
but Scott Crawford says
that's the great thing, though. This doesn't
need to beat the original. It just needs to stand
on its own as a unique take on a character
in film.
for one and pumped to see it.
Well, said Scott, I don't think
that they're going out to beat the original
because I don't think you can.
Yeah.
Just make...
It's got the classic status.
It, just from the pictures
I've seen, because they're slow,
they haven't released a trailer
and the movie comes out
in early October,
so it's just been kind of slowly
giving you a little bit at a time,
pictures,
set photos.
I know they released a video,
playing the score to the music.
I think what I've seen so far,
I think it's definitely a step up
from the 15 sequels
that they released.
I think it'll stand out on his own.
And if it sucks, I mean,
it's on Hulu.
We didn't have to go to the theater to watch it.
Well, worth watching then.
We will be reviewing it.
It is on the schedule.
Awesome.
regarding terrifier two
Jonathan Dyer says
Is this good? Honestly, I'm still recovering
from the first movie. It was so intense.
It's not out yet. It comes out October 6th.
I was going to put it on a schedule, but it's in select
theaters and it is not in my theaters up here.
I bet you it's going to be good.
I'm sure I won't get it either.
Yeah.
May I have to wait till
VOD on that one.
Or maybe they'll do it at the same time.
I don't know.
Well, I know they signed a deal with that app I've been talking about
Screenbox.
So when it goes streaming, it'll go
It'll go.
It'll be everywhere.
Yeah, that too.
Yeah.
All right.
We'll see how that goes.
Let's see.
That's the end of listener feedback.
Our show, intro, and all of our new
awesome t-shirt
designs how fucking metal is that
oh I was wondering what that was I thought it was a Dallas stars
horror returns man
comes from Steve Carlton of the geeks
with the backup again let me let me see how it looks
model it do a little spin
oh okay I wasn't sure on how
how clear it would all right that
that very slick and then I
on the charcoal gray way
I got the premium t-shirt, though, because...
Ah, fancy.
That's a big giant. He didn't even shrink it.
That's the big giant size.
Like this one.
This is the classic East Society.
This big, huge one, the new ones you get now are...
It's smaller.
Oh.
I didn't know you can resize these.
I just put it out there, and then I got one.
I was like, why is it so big?
And then shout out to Mike.
He goes, you've got to size it and make it smaller.
Oh, okay.
So whoever can...
got these big ones. You got the classics.
Back in the day, though, man, I used to have
a maiden shirt that had, like,
the whole front of it was graphics.
But, yeah, Steve Carlton, from the
geeks, man. Awesome fucking design.
And go check out the horror returns to find it.
You can buy whatever you want there. They got
all kinds of cool, well, we have all kinds of cool
artwork and stuff on there.
And be on the lookout for more great stuff.
Um, our artwork for the logo comes from, uh, Natsulani.
Uh, and stickers.
Oh, we do need stickers. That'd be cool. Good idea.
Bime for Frightmarron. Yes.
Allegedly play some certain places.
Mine are. Nice.
My, my shout out to NWO. There you go.
Shout out to, uh, we got some coosies coming to.
You designed that one for us.
It's going to be on a shirt, too, so hopefully before Frightmare.
We're going to be handing out, boosies, at Texas Frightmare.
So come see us.
We don't have a booth or anything, but we're just going to be walking around and handing out shit.
I still got mine.
I got mine.
That's awesome.
There it is.

One of my movies isn't streaming anymore,
but I don't know if you guys watched it yet.
Little darlings.
It was on Paramount Plus. Now it's not on
there anymore. Oh, no.
But
the coolest and mean girls on Netflix.
I was on my mom's account for Paramount Plus, and she
canceled that shit so fine
it's not on there anymore so you guys might have to
rent it it's probably only like three bucks
uh all right well let's move on to our
featured attractions this week we're visiting
Tromaville with class of
Newcomb High and chopper chicks
in zombie town
Nez I know you were excited for this show
I didn't see that last one but I saw
the class of
Newcomb High oh no this is the first one
This is the first one, right?
Yeah, we're going to start out with class of Newcomb High.
1986.
The pupils at a high school next to a nuclear power plant
start acting and looking strange after buying contaminated drugs from a plant worker.
Or nuclear, if you're Homer or the leader of this particular nuclear power plant.
Director and writer are a rich.
Richard W. Haynes and Lloyd Kaufman.
Trauma, of course.
The monster is never seen in a full shot
as the entire costume was never finished.
They only had bits and pieces that were used to
stuff, but hands, face, legs, etc.
The original title for the film was simply
Newcomb High, and it was later changed in the hopes
of people mistaking it for Class of 1984.
That's marketing, ladies and gentlemen.
All right, Nez, you want to start us out?
Class of Newcomb High.
I saw this at the drive-in.
It's a perfect movie for a drive-in.
Yeah, I didn't see it.
I saw it a video the first time.
But one of those cult things, right around the time, the VHS,
somebody, it was at a drive-in.
And one of my buddies and I went and seen it.
because he's all about trauma and about this one.
But this movie was awesome.
I mean, I liked what was going on.
I was introduced to trauma through Toxic Avenger,
and I just wanted to see everything trauma in the 80s.
The stuff now, there's some, I didn't watch everything they've put now.
But all the 80s stuff, I was all about it.
But this one was awesome.
I didn't see the return, return.
to Newcomb High or whatever that last one they put out was but this one was good man for the for the year it came out and the goofiness of of just trauma uncle Lloyd amazing guy if you ever get to meet him he'll talk your ears off and I love what I love about trauma was they weren't afraid to just go overboard with their their blood and gory and the effects this is in the all or nothing days where everything was practical
and this movie is just goofy.
I mean, it's,
you've got to be,
um,
not a serious movie watcher.
Don't sit down and go,
oh,
this movie's lame because of this,
this and that.
Of course it is.
That's why trauma makes these films.
And you're just supposed to enjoy it.
Just,
yeah,
just sit there,
watch it,
fucking open a crack,
open a few,
and just enjoy Newcomb high.
This movie's goofy as hell.
And,
uh,
do you watch?
it for just the sex and violence, of course,
especially in the 80s.
The only way we got to see boobies was watching
trauma movies and late night Skinner Max.
Big beautiful.
They're plate nipples.
I loved everything about it.
Everybody in it, I mean, a lot of these actors,
they might have popped up in other trauma films
or other things, but these weren't like
actors that went on to be in
giant movies
that I remember
but I just
this one
what I love
the
yeah what I love
about trauma is
um
is the acting
on how they tell them to just
overact
yeah boy every scene
yeah
so the movie's goofy
and it's cool man and I still
want to know what high school let them do
this this movie and
but I love
it it's just it's just a classic
film I mean I'm just looking at
stills right now and
it's an amazing film
for what it is I mean don't
don't expect
Romeo well
you watch Tromio in Juliet
but
it is it's
Tromville I mean it's it's an awesome
film again
I never made it to
thinking about class of
1984 because that movie was awesome.
Go back.
Was it action?
We did that?
Yeah, early, early days of action returns.
Yeah.
Was it action returns?
I thought we did it on horror returns at one point.
Oh, we did a full breakdown of the movie.
Yeah.
And the other one.
That class of 99 or...
Lance loves it.
Go listen to the latest action returns.
episode 60.
I didn't realize we were that high.
We were 40 away from 100.
But yeah, Class of Nucum High.
I love this film. It's awesome.
Peacock, if you guys have it.
All right.
Is it on Peacock?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Pluto also. I think that's where I watched it.
Or one of those.
I think it was Pluto.
It might be on YouTube as well, on the trauma page.
Chopper Chicks is on YouTube.
Yeah, that's where I watch that.
one. Brian, what do you think about class of Newcomb High?
Oh, this is like, trauma is like part of my childhood.
This was like, when you watch these as a younger kid, like,
you kind of feel like you're getting away with something.
Yeah.
Something that you're not supposed to be watching.
I mean, if you're someone that's easily offended,
don't watch this movie because there's a lot of shit that wouldn't fly today.
but, you know, different time, different place, you know.
And I don't think this one was too bad.
Well, I guess they did have the weird, like if Madonna and Hitler had a baby, this is what it was.
I thought the practical effects were awesome for what they were.
I like the creature.
The way, I mean, we didn't get to see the whole thing because, you know, trivia.
They didn't have money to finish it.
But for what we got, I thought it was.
cool yeah yeah it was pretty cool
it's trauma you were supposed to be
grossed out and see boobs and sex
and drugs and
just a lot of stuff that's offensive
and I had to say
I fucking enjoyed all of it
and it just kind of brought me back
and that that's kind of why
we're going to do more of this
trauma retrospective you know we're going to turn
this into a series and we're going to
go through most of the
early stuff. I have not seen none of the newer
stuff. Nothing's really
caught my eye like I needed to watch
it or anything, but
a lot of the oldest stuff, toxic
Avenger,
Sergeant Kabuki man,
uh,
Ness said, Tromio and Juliet,
trauma war, you know, all those kind of
things, you know, we're going to get into, but
as far as this, uh,
what was that?
Terra firmer. That's a lot.
I haven't seen that one and
that one was awesome um i all the 80s trauma i love um i didn't really get into the some of the 90s and
the 2000s i just i didn't know they were still doing stuff oh yeah there's it's still going
i mean they've done other things i think one of the last last ones i watched was um trailer town
uh does not sound just that just that just
Giuseppe, whatever.
He was in Independence Day.
He was in Detroit Rock City, and he was in the first cabin fever.
He was the deputy that was partying with everybody.
Him.
He directed that.
Oh, the party guy.
Yeah, him.
He got the 40s.
Don't ruin the party, man.
He directed that one.
It was, I don't think I could watch it again.
It was just stupid, but there was one scene.
I mean, again, trauma isn't for everyone.
If you're easily offended, don't watch trauma, especially the 80s trauma.
They went for it in those days.
But the scene was not to get too graphic and gross, but a dude went on a date with a plate of shit.
no and i won't tell you anymore because it got it got graphic was it a third date
and it was i was like what the hell am i watching here and it was a part of trauma
but yeah the toxic avenger films all those are awesome and i i still want to see the return
to nukemaire or whatever the hell that one's called they're like four of them
I don't know.
Yeah, I don't know if I'd sit through the whole series of them.
But this one in particular was really fucking fun, man.
I was impressed with this one.
Granted, I watched the other one first.
Spoiler alert.
But I had a really fucking good time with a class of Nuckema.
I mean, it was trauma with what it's supposed to be, right?
really gross special effects, which were fantastic, some boobs, some like over-the-top acting
shit, you know, and it was, it's, it's just, it's just irreverent fun. And I like that. That's kind of what it
was meant to be. Oh, correction. There's five of them. The first one came out in 2017.
Yeah.
Yeah, I don't know if I'm going to watch all that, but this one was a lot of fun.
All the 80s trauma definitely watch.
Yeah, and I haven't seen.
I'm not a huge trauma person.
I mean, Toxic Avenger obviously was a classic.
This one, I think, is a trauma classic.
But aside from like these two movies, I don't know that I can name you a bunch of others without just other people telling me what they are what they're called.
Yeah, that's why I kind of picked these here because I didn't want to go with the obvious ones.
And plus, I want to save Toxic Avenger, pair that up with the new one coming out with Peter Dinklage as the Toxic Avenger.
How much are they paying him to do it?
I don't know.
They got some money because Kevin Bacon's the villain and Elijah Woods in the movie, too.
They must be producers.
I hope it does in my head.
They must be producers, friends of Lloyd, and just love trauma.
All of the above.
If I was a billionaire, I would totally fund anything trauma.
I mean, again, if you guys get a chance to meet Lloyd Kaufman, he is an amazing man.
Yeah, he's a really interesting person.
He's really friendly.
He'll tell you anything.
Because the last time I talked to him
It was about all the stuff when he was one of the producers for Saturday Night Fever
I'd ask him about all the
The mob stuff that was going on
Because I guess they didn't want him to film in whatever neighborhood they were
And that club
All the dance stuff was going on
He goes, yeah, that was a lot going on in the background
He didn't really go into it
But that's what
Oh my God
Algae season, everyone
I tell you.
But yeah, I mean, he's a cool guy, man.
Again, who will talk your ears off about anything you ask him about trauma.
Yeah, this new toxic Avengers, it's in conjunction with trauma, but it's being made by legendary pictures, which they do the King Kong and Godzilla movies.
So there's some money behind this one.
Well, and I, you know, I remember in high school, the only people that were into trauma were like the either like super hardcore horror nerds or the like real fespians, you know?
And I'm sure he's got some pull in Hollywood.
Like even big mainstream actors probably love trauma shit.
What was the first trauma movies you guys saw if you can remember?
Toxic Avenger is the big one.
That's what got me into it.
Of course, it was the 80s.
I was still a kid.
That was the first one I saw.
It was a toxic event.
I didn't even know what trauma was.
And I didn't even know there was more after I saw that.
It might have been toxic or Sergeant Kabuki man.
Because I was just like, the fuck is this.
This is a great name.
Well, they had like toxic adventure toys and shit
Yeah, toxic
Cuciders
Yeah, Saturday morning cartoons
I forgot about that
That was weird to
I remember
Seeing pictures
I was like
This is a
I thought it was like
It was like gonna be an adult cartoon
On whatever VHS at the times
And there were no it's gonna be on Saturday morning
I was like what?
I watched it
I thought it was cool
Toxie and
and all his stuff.
But he had the toys.
My age frame, though.
I was watching Saturday morning cartoons.
The toys they came out with, which I couldn't believe.
Because one of my friends,
Dad,
because have you guys seen the,
I said, I've seen it.
And I said,
I was shocked that they made it into a kids theme
because they kids cannot watch the real toxic adventure.
And I probably saw the cartoon first
and then went and watched the movie.
movie.
If I had it, yes.
That first one was brutal.
I saw
I was babysitting
and of course
they had showtime
in the late night
Friday night Nasty's.
I was like, okay
and there's a toxic adventure.
I was like, well, what's this?
I didn't know what it was.
I just sat there and watched it and of course,
man, starts off with boobs and everything.
And then this guy,
this little nerd guy, Melvin, falls into a
canister of toxic waste and becomes
the toxic avenger and beats up pimps and
street tuffs and
bangs blind women
I couldn't believe what I was
watching and how goofy and dumb the acting was
and then I was like, what's trauma?
And then I went to the video store
and watched, saw trauma on a lot of other things.
And yeah, that's when I saw Sergeant Kabuki Man and Tromio and Juliet and all that.
So I was on board.
And as the Toxic Avenger film started coming out, I was just watching all.
I think I need one more.
I think I need Citizen Toxy.
I think that was the last one.
I have all the other ones.
I always get them when I go to the Troma booth at Comic Con because Lloyd's always there.
But, yeah, trauma isn't for everyone.
And whatever they're doing with this new Toxic Avenger,
I hope it's in the theater, because I would love to see that on the screen.
Oh, hell yeah.
And I hope they put Melvin, the mop boy, the original guy.
I think he's still alive.
Have him make a cameo in it.
That'd be cool to see him.
But Newcomb High, it's definitely a classic.
I mean, I haven't seen any of the other one.
I didn't realize it was five, but all right.
I mean, I might have seen bits and pieces of the later ones, but this one is just a true 80s classic for what it is.
It's goofy and stupid, but sit down with your buddies and just laugh and talk shit about it.
I mean, this is one of those movies.
And I love the picture at the end, man.
I thought it was super cool.
I like the death scenes.
Like, everything was really good in this movie, man.
Like for
For what it was
It's pretty awesome
Because I love
When the gore effects
They go for it
Yeah
I'm not afraid to
Throw
Over the gallons
Of gallons of blood
And the splatter of
It always look like
Hamburger meat
Every time something
So
That's what I loved about it
So
But yeah
This is definitely one
That's a true 80s
Is it
horror? I don't know.
I didn't think so, but it
it's an awesome film. Comedy horror.
Yeah, comedy horror.
Gross out.
Yeah. Offend everybody
movie. It's a fucking trauma
movie.
All right. Scores.
Nez, what do you think?
Uh,
all right, toxic avengers
is a 10.
I will give this one
and 8. I mean, I
I enjoy it.
I haven't seen it in a while,
but I love this film.
He'll look pretty good.
Yep.
Brian, what do you think?
It was offensive.
It was disgusting.
It was overacted,
and I loved every minute of it,
so I'm going to give it an eight also.
Yeah, I'm right there with you.
I was going to say eight.
This was just a fun time.
That's not an awesome movie.
But it's a lot of fucking fun, man.
And as far as trauma goes, you're not going to get a whole lot better.
So I'll take it.
All right.
Let's move on to chopper chicks in Zombie Town from 1989.
A gang of tough women bikers are the only thing that stands between a crowd of zombies,
which have been accidentally let out of their secure caves.
those still alive in the town.
Director and writer is Dan Hoskins,
also known for Pretty Smart.
I don't know what that is.
Neither do I have.
Sharon Farrell wrote in her book,
Hollywood Princess from Sioux City, Iowa,
that she was fired from this film
after they discovered how truly dangerous
I could be on a motorcycle,
especially when I had to wear an eye patch
and carry a whip.
Well, I mean.
It was the eye patch which really did me in.
I started getting dizzy wearing the damn thing and just kept thinking about leading my gang of chopper chicks, roaring up and down the road on our motorcycles made me queasy.
So.
You got no death perception.
I patch, probably not real familiar with a motorcycle, swinging a whip.
Yeah.
That sounds like something trauma would do, definitely.
Yeah.
The revelation for road rash.
All right.
Nez, did you see Chopper Chicks in Sombie Town?
I did see this.
Did you?
The name didn't pop to my...
I'm just looking at...
Normally known as Chrome Hearts.
Chrome Hearts?
Yeah, which is...
Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town is a way better name.
All right.
Yeah, I did see this.
I saw it a long time of a hole.
I assumed back when it came out.
You got steel trap memory, man.
You remember anything about it?
No, the only thing I remember is what's his name from Return of the Living Dead was in it?
The, um, the, the mortician guy.
Oh, the mortician guy.
guy. He was in it.
That's about as much
as I remember. Oh, the guy that killed Bernie?
Yeah, him.
He was in it.
You don't remember
Billy Bob?
Yeah, I saw this once.
I'm just looking at pictures of it
and I couldn't tell you
what it was about.
I'll have to re-watch it. I found the whole thing on YouTube,
so. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's where I was.
watched it. I was looking it up, trying to figure out where it was streaming, and then, hey, I had the whole goddamn things on YouTube.
Brian, was it worth watching on YouTube?
The quality was horrible, whatever copy there is on YouTube, but was it worth watching, period?
No, this movie was horrible. This movie was not what you think of trauma.
Yeah. The acting was, I kind of felt like they were trying to be a little bit more serious than this.
one at times with their acting
trying to play it more
serious and
the practical effects
were garbage I'm trying
Lloyd don't come after me
I know we know people that know you
and don't come at us but
this was not trauma
this was not trauma in the slightest
some of the zombies
there was okay make-up
effects on some of the zombies
but then others
yeah then others I don't know if they ran out of money
or if they just forgot to put makeup on people
and just told them we don't have time
just get out there and walk like a zombie
they were just dudes
the biker chicks
were not badass at all
they tried to
yeah
80's hotness
isish
some of them were a little
too much for me
and
they were just not badass to me
and I just from memory
re-watching the movie I'm just like at no
no point in the movie was there a reason given
while they should as the synopsis say
stand between zombies and the few people
living in this town because
this town like fucking was trying to lynch
them and called them fucking sluts and horrors
and I'm like so why are you saving these people
well and all they did was come in there and act like assholes
to the town I don't know I'm like any of anything
that happened in this movie
like why are you in this town
and it just
I don't know that I thought the story was weak
I think them trying to play it serious
I think just hurt the movie even more
the lack of effects
the practical effects makeup
was just fucking I don't know
this did not feel like trauma
at all I thought I was picking a winner
chopper chicks in zombie town
sounds like a winner
than me? Right.
No. I expected more.
They sung and they missed
badly on this one.
Yeah. I don't
I could be wrong. I don't think it was
an official
Tromaville movie.
Maybe
Tromis, maybe whoever
made it and trauma will put it
out for you. Yeah, I'm looking here.
That's what happened.
Okay. Well, Lloyd
was not a director or writer.
so Lloyd was like probably keep my name off of this movie
and by and by the way
Chromehart James wand it
Chrome Hearts is stupid change the name
that's probably shit that's probably what Lloyd did
yeah he threw in the name and made it sound good
but I mean
other than the guy that killed Bernie
the psychiatrist from Terminator
was in it yeah Billy Bob Thornton pops up
does he really
Yeah, he's like, he's the horny guy that keeps trying to, like, sleep with the one chick.
And she's like, no, how about, why don't you go sleep with Lou Ann?
And she was like, she died.
Why don't you go sleep with Sally?
She's like, she died in a car wreck.
Oh, man.
I was watching my phone and it didn't click.
This is a long time ago.
Yeah, he just keeps up.
He just keeps popping up.
He was like, so are you back?
And she just like, no, I'm not back.
I don't want to be with you.
And then he'll disappear and then show up again.
named all these women that died in the town that he
can't get with no more.
Oh, what's her name was in this too?
MTV VJ, Martha Quinn.
She was in this.
It's all coming to me now.
I'm looking at the cast.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I do remember,
I think when I watched it, it might have been on,
Ronda's up
all night or whatever.
Oh, Rhonda Shear.
Yeah, because
trauma has
that
it's kind of hard.
Trauma has a look
on how they film their stuff
as well as you got
to go overboard with the acting.
This one...
And special effects.
Yeah. And this one,
it seemed like they were trying to
be serious.
yeah we're making a stupid movie
but still
put in 100%
110% in your acting
skills on to the film
I think that's what
it's coming back to me now
I think what
they were trying to make
a movie
they weren't trying to make
something funny and gross
they were serious
about what they were doing
so yeah
it did
didn't work out.
Well, the only thing funny about it was every time they showed this pack of zombies,
I'm going to throw air quotes up there because they were just people.
It was the stupid fucking song they played in the background.
It was like a circus sing-song thing with zombies walking in.
And I'm like, this is dumb.
And they spent like, if you go through every little cut scene of that,
it's probably 10 minutes worth of just people walking.
in this stupid song play.
They're not even...
Out in the desert.
They're not even zombies.
It's like they...
Yeah.
It's like people showed up to audition.
They were like, show us how you would walk as a zombie.
And they secretly filmed them.
Right.
And then use that for the movie.
Exactly.
That's exactly what it looked like.
And yeah, there was no cool growth, special effects, you know,
which is what you really look for in a trauma movie.
you know, toxic Avenger, class of nuke them high, right?
Like that, that had some cool special effects, right?
When somebody was going to die in that shit, it was going to be awesome.
And this one, it was not at all.
There was one scene I did laugh at, and that was when they saved the baby,
and they were throwing the baby around like a hot potato.
Yeah.
And then they throw the baby out the window, assuming somebody's out there to catch the baby.
And, of course, there was.
Yeah, and then, like, I don't...
It seemed like it was just a bunch of different scenes that were just stuck together.
Like, the story didn't really make any sense.
Nothing really made any sense in this movie.
Yeah, and then they introduced the younger teenage kids,
and I'm like, you didn't even need them in this movie.
Yeah.
Like, maybe I just wasn't paying attention enough
because I was watching it on my phone on YouTube,
whatever. Oh, you were paying attention enough, trust me. Yeah, it just-
You need to pay attention. Man, this one did not catch me. Well, and I watched Class of Newcomb
High expecting it to, because I, I'm pretty sure I had seen that one before, but I just sort of
expected it to suck as much as this one. And then as soon as Class of Newcomb High came on,
it caught my attention, and I was in it. And I paid attention to the whole thing, right? And
My wife was, and she was mad, da, da, da, nah, nah, and she was mad at me because I wasn't making attention to her.
I was painting it gets to move.
But chopper chicks in Zombie Town was really fucking bad, man.
I'm sorry.
That was not a movie that I ever want to watch again.
It was like a really long bad movie.
Yeah.
Did you lose you guys?
No, that was me.
I hit a button.
It was like a really bad what?
It was like a really bad music video.
There you go.
Yeah.
Really long, really bad music video.
And so, like, when she kicks the jukebox and starts singing on her own, she's all like offbeat and shit.
It's awful.
But I'm sure when she was filming that scene, she thought she was killing it.
Oh, I'm sure.
And this is going to make me a movie star and give me a record content.
The stunts were, I can't even say there was stunts.
It's like, I guess the bike, the motorcycle is going to hit the ground and slide,
but they don't show it hit the ground and slide.
They just cut to the bike already on the ground.
Yeah, they didn't have the budget to destroy the bikes.
Well, I guess.
Except the one they accidentally knocked down at one point.
Yeah.
Which was like obviously an accident.
I was like, what are they just going to leave that bike there?
I guess so.
It's like you never like if someone's going to, because there was a couple times for some reason,
somebody had a grenade in this movie out of nowhere.
And there was a couple times when they're jumping out of the way.
You never see them really jump.
You just see them laying on the ground after.
Yeah.
What was it with the blind kids?
What did they have any?
How did they even fit into the story?
They didn't.
Somebody was like, let's put these blind kids in this movie.
This will be funny.
This will be funny and offend somebody.
Let's put these blind kids in.
Let's do something trauma would do.
Yeah.
But ended up doing it bad.
Yeah.
I don't know.
This is definitely not my favorite trauma movie.
Yeah, I've never seen this.
This was the first time.
I always heard about it because this was an early Billy Bob Thornton movie.
So I thought he.
was going to play a bigger part, but
if you put all his scenes together, it was probably
about five or ten minutes worth of scenes.
He's just
trying to get laid.
He's just playing Billy Popper Gordon.
Probably got laid on the set, but
not in the movie. Oh, I'm sure it did. Many
times. That guy
for such a weird-looking dude,
man, has pulled some serious tail.
It's got the game.
He does.
He's a, he's a, he's a weird hillbilly mystical master.
Yeah, Angelina's blood around his neck.
She used to cut him with knives.
All right.
Scores for chopper chicks in Zombie Town.
Nez, can you give a score on this one?
I know you had to.
Yeah.
From what I remember and not liking it.
I give it a
I'll be generous with a two.
Just because trauma
trauma's on there and
all that.
Yeah, whatever.
You can go rest of your lives without watching this.
Yeah.
Doesn't make any sense.
Brian.
I'll be fair, and I'll also give it a two.
Like, I bagged on it for them
trying to play it serious,
but for all we know,
that that's what they thought they
was doing a more serious trauma movie.
But the makeup effects was bad.
The story was horrible.
The lack of stunt work.
Yeah.
More Billy Bob could have probably did something.
But even that storyline went nowhere of him
constantly popping up with the one girl.
He's like, are we going to be together?
I mean, he didn't even pop up as a zombie
from all I remember.
He may have been a zombie
you wouldn't be able to tell.
Yeah, because there was times when,
like there was a scene when one of the teenagers
came home and I guess his dad's the sheriff
and his dad was supposed to be a zombie,
but he's not attacking him.
And he's just kind of like,
oh,
yeah, their version of zombie is
like me right here going,
yeah.
That's it.
And he tells his,
his dad, don't eat anybody.
I'll be back. I'm a locked the door. Dinner's in the
refrigerator. Find something to watch on TV.
And that's what we're doing with zombies in this movie.
Yeah, they were the worst zombies in any movie I've ever seen.
Yeah, so I'm about to go with it, too, which is very generous.
Yeah, I'm going to say two is pretty generous also.
Lance probably loved it.
No, he didn't.
He texted me at one point during the week, and he was like, dude, have you watched this Chopper Chicks movie?
I was like, no, not yet.
And he's like, oh, man.
It was a bad, and he's like, oh, man.
Was Pet Cemetery remake bad?
Yeah.
They tried to be serious in that hunk of shit.
All right.
So don't watch chopper chicks in Zombie Town.
Do watch Class from Newcomb High.
It's amazing.
Yep.
All right.
That'll end the show for today.

Bruiser, the barber, and creep.
I don't know that I've ever heard of any of those.
I've seen Bruiser once.
Never heard of the barber.
And I've seen Creep many times.
Oh, creep.
I've seen Creep.
I've never seen Brewer or the Barber.
I think Bruises a George Romero film.
Oh, okay.
Cool.
Hey.
That sounds familiar.
The guy with the white mask is just like a white,
ask
nothing special about it
maybe it'll bring some bells when I see it
yeah I think if I watch
I've probably seen it
what was the other one
the barber I think that one I know there's like two
movies called the barber that one he picked
has a Malcolm McDowell
oh
the barber of Seville
oh no I was thinking the Dennis that's not it
all right
it's a fun movie too
That is fun of me.
So until the horror returns again, Kevin.
Good night.
