Regings victims, for those of you who delight and dread, who fantasize about fear, who glorify gore, welcome.
You have found the place where the horror returns.
Listeners beware.
This podcast contains major plot spoilers.
and the foulest of language.
Join us in celebrating the old and the new,
the best, and the worst in horror.
Welcome back.
Everybody, I'm wearing my headset.
Using my PC this time, I feel like Howard CoSell.
Welcome back to the horror returns.
I'm Lance.
As always,
I've got my co-host, Philip and Brian over here.
How's it going, guys?
It is going.
Good, good.
Not Howard and CoSell good, but pretty good.
Yeah, well, you know, he said some questionable things that might get him canceled today.
I'll lay off some of that talk.
But, oh, man, October, there's so many fucking horror movies.
Brian, I think the challenge you and I are facing, because I've been watching your list, too, of what you're,
you know, check it out on our 31 days.
It's an embarrassment of riches right now in 2024 horror movies, am I right?
Yeah, they did a good job with the release schedule this year
because I think 90% of my list is things that came out in the past few weeks.
Wow, wow.
And there's one that...
Popping up like flies on the streaming services.
You turn around and there's more horror movies up there.
Okay, so there's one that, there's one I saw, I saw the poster for it on Hulu and I'm like,
that looks like a stupid sitcom, some, you know, some kind of a dumb, this, this dude wearing like a bow tie,
like some, you know, TV, kids TV show host or something like that. Brian, you've got it on your list.
You're going to talk about it when we do our next roundup.
And then I started reading the reviews on it and I'm like, holy fucking shit, this movie sounds awesome.
So it's like even stuff that doesn't look like it's going to be very good people are loving.
So it's a good time to be a horror fan.
Brian, I know you know what I'm talking about.
Yeah, I have some stuff to say about that one because that one surprised me.
A lot of people.
It surprised a lot of people, dude.
I was looking on IMDB and the user scores on that one were like eight, nine, and ten for the most part.
So we'll talk about it in a bit.
but um and see i'm over here playing catch up right so a lot philip here's how here's how it's going
dude brian is like always one or two movies ahead of me on the 31 days because he's already seen a
lot of the shit i missed during the year so like i'm watching a lot of stuff he's already seen and so
you know we'll talk about it but bry bryan's kind of like our bleeding edge dude here at the network
no no doubt about it all all props to you brian you're you're on the you're on the bleeding edge brother
That's what I'm saying. You guys are the cinephiles, and I'm like on the edge.
That's what makes our chemistry so good here. So, all right. Well, let's, I guess we'll get, we'll get this party started. I know we all have a lot to talk about. I've got, I've definitely got a not so cool of the week. I'll go into that more. But who's diving into cool of the week this time?
I'll start
I've actually got a few of them this week and they don't all suck
and
it's always good
most of them are horror related
so I watched
the platform two
which was
nice all right
pretty good pretty good it was a lot like the first one
I like what they're doing with it they had some
pretty interesting characters
uh
they went a little further into some
of the lore it's actually a prequel uh because there's a couple of people that pop up in this one i don't
think that's really a spoiler but um but yeah it was in it was in the trailer so you know yeah i guess
that's true but yeah so it was it was pretty good and then i went back and watch platform one
uh just to refresh my memory and uh also awesome um i ran across one on hbo max i've been watching a
bunch of stuff on there because two of them one of them i clicked on i didn't know
cabin in the woods i was like cabin in the woods is a series what does that mean and so i clicked
a series yeah but it's some stupid crime drama i didn't even pay any attention to it so that's my
not old was that was on netflix or uh that was on uh max and uh okay so however was uh cat o lake
that one yeah that's
on max also yeah that one was actually pretty cool i like how it it's yeah it's like a sort of
sci-fi drama okay so it's not really a hard horror movie then no it's not really a horror movie
at all it's really more of a like yeah thriller with some sci-fi stuff going on i it's it's
it's pretty interesting though i like the story i don't want to give too much
a way, but I was surprised about this movie.
Another one I watched, this is going to take a second.
Another one I watched was Nicholas Cage, where he was the guy in everybody's dreams.
Is it called Dream Scenario?
Yeah, you saw that one, Brian?
That's a very quiet movie.
It is.
It's super, well, it's very quiet.
It's definitely not horror or really even that super weird.
But I like the vibe to it. Unless you count Nicholas Cage fucking an 18 year old girl weird.
Sort of.
Okay.
So the whole time I was like, dude, she's a baby. Get out of there.
I know.
But yeah, I actually enjoyed the movie.
I thought it was.
Did you?
Yeah, quirky and interesting.
I like Nicholas Cage.
I mean, it was very, it was very, it was.
sort of a pig type performance from Nicholas Cage, I think.
Not that he played that same character, but it sort of had that same sort of feel like he's actually shooting for something.
Yeah, it's like a being John Malkovich sort of thing, but with Nick Cage.
I can see that.
And I watched the one that you guys are probably going to talk about, the new VHS, beyond.
Oh, Brian.
Here we go, Brian.
We thought of you when we talked about it.
Yeah, super cool, super cool.
I loved, I think, all of the shorts, even the one with the dogs.
I don't want to give too much away.
The one that was kind of the offshoot from the rest of them.
Yeah, because it didn't really have anything to do with aliens.
But it was also a lot of fun.
Or did it?
Justin Long and his brother directed that.
that one. Oh, is that the one they did? Yeah, it was like a tusk a little bit. Except it was only like, you know, 15 minutes long. So can't complain about that. But yeah, I thought all the segments were pretty great. I liked all the alien stuff, especially the one with the parachutes. I thought that was really cool. That was a pretty interesting little segment there. I really enjoyed it. The best VHS movie I've probably seen. Nice. Nice. Nice.
All right, that's what I got.
Brian, did Philip leave any room for you on Cool of the Week?
Yes, because since, of course, saving the new movies for 31,
I checked out a couple episodes of two new series that came out.
The first one is Phil, is the James Bond produced series on Peacock called Teacup.
Oh, yeah, I saw like a trailer for that.
Yeah, interesting. I'm interested. It's got me. It's piqued my interest.
This family on a farm, it's not just a family. It's a collection of people that got there through certain reasons.
And this guy shows up, and he has spray painted a line around the entire farm, and you can't go past the line.
And it shows you what happens if you go past the line.
And it's pretty gruesome.
Okay.
And that's where it's piqued my interest.
Why?
Who is this guy?
Why is this happening?
Is specifically just this family and this, a couple of neighbors are there too.
Is it them specifically or are they just there randomly and it's got some supernatural elements it looks like?
Are they ghosts?
They can't leave the area?
No.
Okay.
Okay.
Confidently, even though two episodes in, I don't know what's going on, but I don't think it's ghost.
I like that.
I like the ones with the questions and you have like mysteries to the whole thing.
As long as they tie it all together at the end.
Lost, looking at you.
And the second series is a new one on Stars.
I think six-episode series.
I think they're all out now.
I only checked out the first episode to see if I wanted to watch it.
And it's called Sweet Pea.
And it stars Ella Pernell.
She was the main star of Fallout.
The one with the big eyes.
Yeah, yeah.
She does have big eyes, doesn't she?
Essentially, she plays a character that is a doormat.
Has been that way her entire life, kind of bullied through high.
school by a bunch of mean girls to the point where she had to wear she had to wear a wig
because she was like you know you know that hair pulling thing when people get anxiety and the
the doormat thing kind of carried on throughout life because when it shows her at work just kind of
people just bumping into her and just not giving the fuck that they bumped into her and she
randomly thinks about
killing each and every one
of these people.
I like the way this is going now.
Well, he doesn't.
Throughout the first episode,
you're just kind of wondering,
is she going to do it?
And it answers the question
by the end of the first episode.
Is she going to do it?
Sweet pee, huh?
I think I've heard of that.
I don't think I've heard of it.
So this also,
my interest. I loved her from Fallout, and she's pretty good in this one, from what I've seen off the first episode. And I don't know if I've killed some of these people, but a lot of these people need some ass-wop-ins.
Hmm. Always good to see people like that get their comeuppance, right?
That's how you're a good guy. That's all I got is a teacup and sweet peevee.
Okay.
My not so cool of the week, we talked about it, Philip, you mentioned a couple of things you saw on it, but I'm opening it up my credit card.
The credit card bill this month.
And I'm like, what is this one hundred and eighty two dollar charge from Time Warner M-A-X?
What the fuck did I buy from Time Warner?
That was 182 goddamn dollars.
Well, gentlemen, it's my annual max subsist.
description. So, Philip, we go back. You called this, what, three, four, five years ago with this CBS All-Axas nonsense.
Yeah, I knew it was going to happen. Now everybody's doing it. I mean, but they did it so, so gradually that nobody noticed.
I just saw what they were doing when they started it.
Brog and a beaker style. All right. Yeah. My cool of the week, let's let's get positive here.
So Hurricane Melton was definitely not a positive for.
most people who live through it. It was devastating and caused a lot of problems. So there is no way
I'm going to call that my cool of the week because I'll get booted out of town on a rail.
But I will say living on the East Coast, I'm going to throw some love to the East Coast in general.
Never thought I'd say that. Lived in Texas my entire life. But being on the East Coast of Florida
is pretty cool because during the regular season and during the summer, we get like some of the
biggest waves here. So you get lots of surfers out here. Like the area that we live in in Melbourne
is sort of like the surfing capital of the east side of the U.S. So you get a lot of Hawaii,
you know, a lot of Hawaiian culture here. You've got a lot of surf culture here. It's just a great
place to be, dude. It's so laid back here on the East Coast in Florida. It is just really nice down-to-earth
people. Like everybody we've met has just been incredible. And yes, we were in the eye of
Hurricane Melted, but of course it had to go over all that land to get to us. So the only thing I got
to worry about is building a new fence. And I got a buddy that's going to help me do that next week.
So we'll get a new fence up. And yeah, other than that, man, I'm throwing love to East Coast
of Florida because it's a wonderful place to live. You guys got to come visit. Very nice being close to
to Mickey and all that.
But even better, it's just really nice being close to the beach.
Great, great way to live, Philip.
Now I know why you and Rose have been living in Galveston as long as you have.
I totally get it.
Sorry, dogs going nuts.
Yeah, man.
It's not bad.
It's pretty laid back.
I like it.
Yep, yep.
Definitely like the culture.
So, all right.
My cool of the week is the East Coast.
Is that acceptable, Brian, or is that?
Because I really don't watch nothing.
I'll spend our 31-day stuff, so I don't want to spoil anything.
It takes up much of your time, so.
Okay.
All right, so moving on.
Now it is time for horror headlines, brought to you by Brian.
Take it away, man.
All right, start with some TV news.
Goose bumps.
Season 2 on Disney Plus gets a January 10th release.
state.
She pisses my daughter off.
Why is that?
We watch the series
together, yeah, and she
watches, sometimes I talk about
movie stuff with her, and
it always makes her mad that
you know, stuff's coming out 20,
5, 2025, 26.
Yes.
So.
Well, Philip, you had a lot to say about that
about a month ago. Remember, we were
doing all the trailers and you said,
2026, really?
We're watching the trailer now.
You said that Goosebump series is pretty good, huh?
Yeah, it's very young adult, but...
Yeah, yeah.
I got into it with my daughter.
I think that was probably what...
Just seeing her reaction,
because I remember the original show
when I was younger.
Back in the day, huh?
Yeah, more updated, where it's one story
throughout the entire season,
and there's a lot of references to...
older episodes from back in the day
and there.
But one thing we both
are not a fan of is
I guess every season
that they're going to do is going to be a different
story and we kind of felt like
there was more story to tell with the first
season.
Oh, they left you hang in a little bit, huh?
A little bit. I kind of felt like
when they were going to announce season two
it was just going to be a continuation, but it's a whole new
cast and the first season, the
the main actor was just long and this season it's uh he's everywhere david swimmer
oh all right i don't understand i'll hate that guy gets i'll totally watch it
it's probably the name swimmer swimmer brian did you ever did you ever read the books
uh when you were a kid uh when i was younger i didn't do a lot of reading
okay yeah because i know a lot of people that was smoking weed
doing things uh not gonna name one here okay that was a lot of people's gateway though right
into horror like the goosebumps books and then there was some i read a writer who was the
was there a writer named was it christopher pike just like the star trek character or something
like that that wrote like kids horror books i don't know but i i know it was mainly the goosebumps books
the closest to horror books i got as a as a young kid was the scary stories to tell in the dark
those were huge too yeah i had those when i was real little and uh or the first one at least when
i was real little and uh just the pictures in them are terrifying yeah it'll keep you awake at night
Yeah.
All right.
Lance, I have some questions about this next one.
Stephen King's Fairy Tale is getting a 10-episode series adaptation from A-24.
What is Fairy Tale?
Huh.
Okay, well, so that's a novel that he wrote about three years ago, and it's not really horror.
I mean, like everything he writes, it's got some horror elements in it,
but it's basically about, like, a modern-day person who,
kind of discovers this
they can open up
a doorway and go down
these stairs and they end up
like in a alternate
like a fantasy type it's more of a
fantasy book I would say like
so they end up in like a like a fantasy
land like beetlejutes
sounds like Narnia
like exactly more Narnia than
Beetlejuice I think because it's not really like
a afterworld or a death type
after death type thing but there is of course
a villain. There has to be a villain, right?
But you know what? It wasn't one of my favorite books, guys,
because the villain was dispatched
fairly easily in the book.
And I hope maybe the villains are more menacing if they're going to
stretch it out over 10 episodes or maybe they'll introduce
new villains. But,
you know, it was just kind of Stephen King
scratching his J.R. Tolkien
itch, I guess, you know?
Kind of like high fantasy, but
written by a horror writer, if you can imagine
that. So,
10 episodes
probably be a good series. I still want to see
the Dark Tower, though. That's
my bucket list thing before I
before I die. I want
to see somebody do a good Dark
Tower series and not that
shit movie that we got,
right? Yeah, that's pretty bad.
All right.
Neither, I think it was
last week. We talked about
Micah Monroe
starring in the Hand of Rocks the Cradle
remake. We did.
oh yeah mary elizabeth winstead will star alongside her so who's the villain out of those two
who's mary elizabeth winstead uh scott pilgrim i'm 99.9% sure because they announced mic and monroe
first and i'm not trying to make generalizations here but i'm saying that rebecca de morno was
definitely a very blonde blonde right
So if they go for lowest common denominator, they would pick the blonde to play the blonde, right?
So I'm thinking Mike is going to be the bad guy.
I may be wrong.
Maybe they'll twist it.
Is one of M. Knight's mini-offspring going to be directing or writing this?
I think, yeah, I think Michael Monroe is going to be the Des Moines part.
She's the hand.
Tiny, though.
Tiny person.
So was Rebecca DeMorne, you know?
I mean...
Yeah, but Rebecca DeMorne had this sinister sexiness to her.
Well, look, if long legs and, you know, say of it what you will,
because half our listeners loved it.
Half our listeners obviously hated it, right, from our comments we get.
But say what you will about long legs,
but she acted her ass off in that.
Yeah.
She can pull that role off?
Why can't she be a villain?
That was more of a kind of demure role for her.
Not somebody that's going to destroy a family and take their child for themselves.
I can see that in her face, though.
She can pull that off.
I think so.
I vote it's going to be her.
Philip votes it's going to be her.
What are you thinking, Brian?
I'll go Mary Elizabeth Winston
All right
Because she looks like she would be the mom
You know
Mary Elizabeth Wednesday
She's very momish
Yeah she's very momish
If that's a word
Well we have some time
Because
From what I understand
They're still doing casting
So
Okay
Maybe they'll do a real twist
And the baby
Will be like a demon baby
that's controlling all of them.
Never know.
All these demon babies.
The Conjuring Last Rights
has officially begun filming
and James Wan took to social media
to confirm this will be the last time
we get a conjuring movie.
He didn't say...
Until the next time.
No, he didn't say the Conjuring universe was done.
He said the Conjuring film series.
Dancing around his words, Philip.
as in he doesn't want to direct any more of them I think is what it's not directed this
oh he's not directing this one I don't know why is he even talking about it
it's uh through his company I got it's a deal through Warner
because he signed what is this company atomic monster he signed a production deal
through Warner if it's if it's if it's Warner I won't be watching it because I shall be
canceling my Mac subscription when this year's over.
Fuck you for your $182 bill.
I kind of feel like that's your fault because I get a, I get a, I get a notification
when they up the price.
Did I delete those?
I get notifications.
Your price is changing.
I delete it.
I delete it.
I guess that's funny.
That is on me, huh?
That is on me.
Okay.
Whoops.
But if you did, if you didn't have Max, you wouldn't have seen Salem's lot.
and you enjoyed that a whole bunch.
Oh, a whole lot.
Yeah, top 10 for sure.
Oh, okay.
Did you check it out on yet, Phil?
Yeah, yeah.
I actually really enjoyed the new one.
Yeah.
Me too, man.
Me too.
All right.
God damn it.
Get off my lawn, you kids.
You're going to go on my max again.
The film adaptation of the video game
until dawn gets.
It's April 25th, 2025 release date.
What is that one about?
Hit horror video game.
I've never played it.
My daughter just recently got a PS5.
So I think we're going to attempt to play it.
Yeah.
I think there's more than one game.
I didn't know if it was like monsters or?
Monsters, Inc.
the game. I think demons and stuff like that.
Demons. Okay, that makes sense.
I watched that.
It is directed by David F. Sandberg, who directed
lights out.
Yeah. Got some, got some cred.
All right.
Big news for us here at the horror returns,
because we are fans of Samarra Weaving,
officially returning for Ready or Not 2.
Okay.
But just as good, Radio Science.
who directed the first one is also officially returning.
Okay.
That's good news. That's good news.
We're all on board, I know.
I wonder where they're going to go with it.
You got to do a continuation.
Where do you go from that?
Well, because I kind of want to know a little more about the history of the family now.
Yeah, I mean, you could go off of, because she's seen, I forgot the name of the demon.
That pops up at the end for a quick.
second and kind of does like a little
hat tilt to her.
Oh, yeah. Right, right.
Is that passing something on to her or?
Oh.
I, that was the first thing I thought when you said there was going to be another movie.
I got to be honest with it.
It was the first thought that crossed my mind.
Is she going to be the villain this time?
Does she inherit the empire?
Because she technically is the last family member.
Oh.
Maybe.
This movie's all about the lawsuit trying to get the money.
Yeah.
Courtroom drama.
Oh, no.
Like the Joker.
Never saw it coming.
I heard that.
Is it going to be a musical, Brian?
Is it going to be a musical?
I hope not.
Which I heard the Joker 2 will be on digital by the end of the month.
I'm surprised it's not already on Tooby.
But you recommended it.
You and men's recommended it last week.
It was a fucking stinkaroo at the box office.
I heard stories about, like, people walking out of the theater and shit.
I saw a couple, I think, walked out, man.
They wanted to.
Man, there was some uncomfortable looks at the end of that movie.
Let me tell you.
I also heard stories about people walking out the Terrified Three, and we'll talk about that.
Okay.
Well, that I understand.
Man, that might be a good thing.
All right.
That's the news.
All right.
So it is now time to go on down to the trailer park.
And Brian is going to bring us the big to small and sometimes the very, very weird.
What's our first one tonight, man?
Shudders, new series, The Creek Tapes, continuation from the Creek film series starring
Martin Duplas
written and directed by
Patrick Bryce and Mark Duplas
you guys fan of the
the creep movies or creep
yeah I like
yep I'm very bad yeah I
my only worry is I hope it does not
overstay it's welcome Brian because
as as everyone would agree
the first one was like almost kind of like a little
mini masterpiece almost quasi
found footage type movie and
Everybody loved it.
And then a lot of the people, I don't know, were you hearing the same thing I was, Brian?
A lot of people didn't like the angle of the second one with the new character introduced and all that.
I mean, I heard some things, but not that bad.
I mean, it's...
Yeah, I mean, if it's done...
He killed the person in the first movie, so he's got to have a new day.
Well, look, if it's done well, it's going to be a fun watch.
And it looks like it's only going to be, what, six episodes?
So long as it doesn't overstay, it's welcome, right, Philip?
Well, yeah, but I was kind of thinking the whole episodic thing, you know, each episode is a tape.
We talked about that.
It seems like the perfect way to do it.
Yeah, he has a whole fucking shelf of tapes.
They could just keep on going with this thing.
With more to come.
If they succeeds.
Yeah.
I mean, I don't know.
Maybe it'll get old, but as long as they keep it kind of fresh and he's doing different things.
I think it relies all on Mark Duplas' performance.
Yeah, sure.
Is he going to draw us in every episode or by episode four or five,
are we going to be kind of tired of it?
Right.
That's what I was concerned about.
But I'm in.
It's the same director, same writer.
Same people that worked on the first two movies is doing the series.
Okay.
We're all in.
Yeah.
Definitely.
Yeah, I'm more excited about this than I am about a lot of the shows coming out.
No doubt.
No doubt.
And this one is not produced by James Wong.
That's okay.
This is coming to Shutter and AMC Plus November 15th, just in time for the holidays.
That seems like weird timing, but okay.
Okay, now I'm going to put in my quick little rant or rave or whatever for a streaming service, and that would be AMC Plus, because when you sign up for AMC Plus, not only is the prize still competitive, okay, but you get AMC Plus, you get Shudder, and you get the independent film channel. So there. So see, not all streaming services are evil to me right now.
I think they all are
because they just want our money.
They do.
Can you blame them?
Yeah.
All right.
Our final trailer.
But if I'm paying for it, I don't want to see commercials.
Sorry.
Continue.
Good point.
Stephen King's The Monkey.
New one from Neon.
This star is Theo James,
Elijah Wood.
She Hulk herself, Tatiana Mislani.
And I heard he's in most of his movies.
Osgood Perkins not only directs and writes this one, but he will star.
And Phil, this one is produced by James Wan.
Oh.
They want you.
So what do you guys think about this Stephen King, Osgood Perkins, James Wan team up?
It sounds like a shit show.
Uh-oh.
I thought it sounded like a match made it happen, like three great people.
But yeah, it may be too many cooks, right?
Where they all get in each other's way?
And, you know, somebody accidentally puts sugar in the in with the salt and the pepper.
And, uh-oh.
Well, I don't know.
I don't know how hands-on James Wan is in the production of things.
I know. He sure does love to stick his fucking name on it.
But I know, I don't know that he actually has anything to do with it.
I think he just gets pictures kind of green lid.
Yeah.
I don't think he's.
And I say Stephen King is part of this trio only because it's based off of something he wrote.
Yes, true enough.
True enough.
He's on set calling shots.
But I feel like the last version of this that we watched was not so, like, comicky.
right yeah the last trailer was more sinister this was kind of silly right yeah this was like
i don't know what are they doing here sitcom what's going on well speaking to speaking of too many cooks
brian you uh you're the resident stephen king guy did the book come off did the story come off like a
i i have not read this short story since probably three years after it was written which would have
in the 70s.
So all I remember is the cover of, I think it was night shift that the, that the monkey was
in and on the cover they had the, you know, the monkey holding there with the symbols.
And that creeps every kid out, right?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right.
Yeah, that goes back to like the clown doll under the bed and polter guys, right?
Like, you know, this sinister little creature in your room, like when your lights are barely
on and there's a little light coming through the slats in your windows.
and that's all you can see is this monkey holding symbols.
Of course, it's going to look evil, right?
Speaking of which, we've got a cat.
Anyway.
There you go, man.
You'll have fun with that.
Have fun cleaning in the litter box, dude.
That's why I told AJ, no cats.
We have all the dogs you want.
I am not cleaning a fucking litter box, man.
I've been there, done that.
I don't know.
I love cats.
I love cats.
No, I love cats.
I just don't, I can't do it.
man we did have one cat one time boots he would go out and like potty in the yard and i was like yes
awesome that was her favorite cat ever but anyway we're talking about a monkey we're talking about a monkey
not a cat i'm still looking forward to it with the names of the long you know why not
peak your interest more than this is their neon and what they've given us to the past couple years
yes because i i honestly i think they surpassed 824
in the past couple years.
Yeah, probably, because A-24 is coming out
with some off-the-wall shit.
Yeah, I know.
Lots of weird, like, comedies and Marcel
the Shell and that kind of weird shit, right?
You watched that?
You watched that?
Nope, didn't watch it.
Neither did I.
I'm not going to watch that.
Marcel the Shell, a little animated movie.
Oh, no, I don't know.
There's a few of them I haven't even.
I'm like, I don't even want to watch that.
That's the same thing I did.
a Joker. I was like, no.
I don't think I want to have that.
Part pass.
One thing we can
count on is there's going to be plenty of deaths
because the trailer and poster
does say everybody dies in this one.
Oh, I like
that. Okay.
Interesting.
And this one's a movie or a series?
Movie. Okay, cool.
Yeah, man. A neon movie?
Yeah, okay.
That actually makes a huge difference.
I think we're all in.
Yeah.
Yeah.
This one comes out, February 21st.
Which I'm calling it now.
I think those months are going to change because they're always labeled the dumb months.
Okay.
I think movies like in the past, the first couple of Deadpool movies got released in February.
Yeah.
And then one of them, I think they went for like a Valentine's Day thing for the first one.
Yeah.
And the new one, didn't it come out in, no, it came out during the summer, never mind.
But there's been a few movies, I think, have proved that those don't have to be dumb months.
Yes.
Yeah, come out with a good movie, and then you've got the whole box office to yourself.
Well, I think the two release states I remember the most were Nick Cage's Drive Angry.
That had to have been sometime right around March 6, because I remember AJ took me to see it for my birthday.
and then Cabin in the Woods.
She took me to see for my birthday.
So those must have both been like early March releases.
Oh, there you go.
Such a good movie.
I remember seeing that in the theater.
I went in, I didn't even, I've never even seen the trailer or anything.
I was just like, oh, cabin in the woods, this sounds fun.
Yeah.
Little did we know how good it was going to be, right?
I thought for years that Cabin in the Woods and Cabin Fever were the same thing.
And I'm like, I've already seen this movie.
And so I never watched it.
And then I finally did, and I was like, this is fucking awesome.
I love it.
All right, that is the trailer part.
All right.
On to listener feedback.
This week, we shine the podcast spotlight on Too Scary Didn't Watch,
a horror movie recap podcast for people who are too afraid to watch the movies themselves.
The podcast is hosted by Emily.
Gonzalez, Henley Cox, and Sammy Smart, and new episodes are released every Wednesday.
That doesn't sound like a terrible idea.
In regards to the Terrifire 3 poster, Adrian Reyes says, sweet, I'm stealing this.
Fair enough.
Can I address something real quick?
Yeah.
From somebody that commented named Larry Rogers.
He wrote, using.
AI is not being very creative.
Your page is a plagiarism paradise
and you should be held accountable
for the absolute shit that you post.
Have a nice day.
What does that even mean?
Every day
for the month of October,
I've been posting
different artists
poster artwork for
Halloween, the movie Halloween.
Yeah. Now,
if you have a problem with
that artist using AI to do their art. Take it up with them.
Also true. Don't post that shit on our page.
I'm not going double checking everybody. Do you use AI art to do your artwork? I'm not doing that.
Yeah. Also who cares? Is it a cool picture? Is really what we're going with? It's a horror podcast. Some of them got a lot of like. So I think the majority of people at school.
So you have a nice day, Larry.
In regards to the poster for the substance, Matt Wood says all about the asses in this film.
What movie is that?
I mean, so that I don't watch it.
Oh, you'll like seeing the asses in this movie.
I promise you that.
That's disgusting.
You remember we reviewed a rape revenge movie revenge?
We all loved it, I think.
There was a lot of blood.
You don't remember it was years ago.
Well, this is the directest new one starring Demi Moore.
Oh.
Got Demi Moore out of retirement.
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I got you.
All right.
Demi Moore and some asses.
I'll take it.
And body horror.
And body horror.
Nice.
They outprone and birds.
Hopefully not all at the same time.
Okay.
All right.
In regards to our new t-shirt designs,
David Barta says,
love all of them.
But if I was forced to pick,
Jasper Jenkins is my babe.
All right.
He's pretty awesome.
Have we gotten him his t-shirt yet?
David, have we sent you your t-shirt yet?
I can't recall.
I'm trying to keep up with getting the T-shirts and the coosies and the pop figure.
Let us, so, Dave, send me a message or something because you got to get your T-shirt.
Now I know which one you want.
This may be a conversation for another time, but how hard would it be to get some of those designs printed on a one-sided shirt so that we can use their tri-blend thing?
They have like a tri-blend t-shirt on T-Public, and it's awesome.
Do they?
Yeah, because that's what I got.
You know what that is?
It's like a really soft, like vintage style shirt.
It's what I've got with the one with my lettering.
It's super comfortable.
But they don't do it with the double-sided.
So just a thought.
Huh.
Okay.
Let's see.
In regards to Terror Fire 3, Tony Cooney says definitely a fun ride.
Mark Kamar Zinsky says, you can't make Lauren Laverna not
gorgeous.
Facts.
Think that they were trying.
In regards to the fog,
Carmel Gory says
Love it. Adam Rowe says awesome
movie. Now is that
John Carpenter's
the fog or the remake
that had the young Clark Kent
Superman in it? I'm going
to go out on the limb and say they're
talking about the original. Probably.
Because I've never heard anybody say
The Fog remake is an awesome movie.
Yeah, pretty bad, pretty bad.
Let's see, and Terra FIRE 2, Ron Sable says,
I need outtakes from these movies.
Are there any out there?
That would be fun.
That would be fun.
That would be a lot of fun.
Yeah.
In regards to Silver Bullet,
Philip Collier says watching it now, 80s awesomeness.
Yeah, that it is.
Good way to describe it.
Yeah, I always like talent.
In regards to Sting, Todd Copeland says good movie.
Okay.
Not Stuart Copeland, right?
If we're talking members of the police.
And I think so, I forgot it down.
Somebody said,
Steve, wow, what a funny way of doing him.
music biography or something?
Never mind. It was funny
at the time when I read it.
Go under our Facebook page, folks,
and you can see all the comments
that we forget to write down and
reread on the air.
There's always that one, Larry.
Let's see. In regards
to, he sees you when you're sleeping.
David Barta says, wow,
this could be good.
Yeah. Another Christmas horror movie.
I'm thinking.
Those could be fun. Even the bad ones could be
fun. I like the trend though because now they're coming out with some like kind of decent ones.
Yeah. Can't complain. I kind of liked a silent night from last. Yeah, that one was awesome. Not really horror, but more action.
Oh yeah, I guess so. But it still was awesome. All right. That's it for feedback. Uh, intro and logos come from Steve Carlton from the geeks.

All right.
On to our featured attractions.
This week, we watched the new Terrifire 3 and All Hallows Eve, where it all started with Art the Clown.
Babysitting on Halloween night, that's just asking for trouble.
Yeah, tell me about it.
It's already been quite an eventful evening.
Some creep slipped of videotaped into Timmy's candy bag while we were trick-or-tribing.
treating. A videotape?
You should see what's on it.
We'll start with All Hallows Eve from 2013.
While babysitting two children on Halloween,
a babysitter finds a VHS tape in one of their candy bags.
The tape contains three horror stories linked by a killer clown.
As the night progresses, strange things happen in this house.
Okay.
Director and writer is...
Get the description as any. I mean, that's not bad.
That's true.
That's true.
The script, actually.
Director and writer is Damien Leone, also known for all the terror fire movies.
The first feature film with the character Art the Clown, played by Mike Giannelli.
Art was created because director Damian Leone felt that the 2010s lacked a distinct horror icon, especially a clown.
Art was made to be the opposite of Pennywise the Clown, which is why he appears in all black and white.
uses weapons, has no hair, and does not speak.
Gianelli retired from acting after this film,
so the role of Art the Clown was recrassed with our friend David Howard Thorne.
All right.
Lance, would you think about All Hallows Eve?
So my first takeaway from this movie is no offense to the actor who played Art the Clown in this one,
and then the Terrifier's short.
But my God, the difference between David Howard Thornton and anybody else trying to tackle this character is just, it's like miles apart.
I mean, okay, I love these movies.
I love these, you know, cool little Halloween, you know, kids trick-or-treating.
That's why I love that movie Trick-or-Treats so much and watch it every single year, year-in and year out, because I just love Halloween.
I love Halloween movies.
I love everything about it.
I love being a kid at Halloween.
I love the creepiness.
I love the question about what's out there, what's really going on.
Could something happen?
You can tell this was his first, I mean, this was much smaller budget, right?
Than like even the first terrifier or by God, you know, for God's sake, the third one, right?
So, you know, you could kind of tell it was a super, super low budget movie.
but it was still fun
I mean it was
I wasn't taken out
by the fact that it was a different actor
that played Art the Clown
but I will say that the difference
was there
it wasn't the same level
of what were used to in the later movies at all
so that was quite evident
Philip they had an alien segment
that had to make you happy
right? That's true yeah
so yeah
I mean it's got pretty much everything
It's kind of right there for me.
It was a fun watch.
Nothing super special, though, for me in this one.
No great takeaways, no amazing kills, no fantastic gore,
like you get in the later movies.
But a good, creepy little fun Halloween movie.
I'm glad I saw it because I had actually never seen it before,
and now I have.
I liked the setup.
I thought the babysitter was believable.
I thought the kids were believable.
And I didn't hate it.
Didn't love it, but I didn't hate it.
That's my takeaway.
That's fair.
Brian, what do you think?
First of all, sorry about the noise in the background.
I got neighbors doing some repairs outside.
You will.
Who cares?
All right.
All right.
I'll just come out of straight.
Say straight up.
I did not like this movie.
I was pulled forward.
I thought none of the segments went.
anywhere.
Yeah, I guess
the main actress in the wrap around
was kind of believable
as a babysitter, but
nothing she did in the movie
was believable to me.
Okay. I can see that. I get
it. I get it.
I think we've done
ourselves a disservice by watching
Terrifier, the Terrifire
series before watching this, because
it just doesn't feel
right.
not trying to down talk the actor but
I think it was also a different
version of Art the Clown
not just the actor but like
it's like it was he was almost created as like a
cryptkeeper in this one
yes okay if we would have went off of this version
I don't think art would have been as iconic as he is
because oh for sure this version does not have the mannerisms
Okay.
I'm not sure how many people know that this movie exists.
And if they do, I found it on, I found it on Tobey.
Sorry, what just, I'm sorry, Brian.
I think people might think that this is David Howard Thornton.
I didn't realize it wasn't until I read the trivia.
Really?
I mean, if you didn't know, I wasn't very obvious to me.
I wasn't looking for it.
very obvious.
You can absolutely tell this is not David Howard Thornton.
He doesn't have the mannerisms, the facial expressions, just the way he moves, the comedic
timing, just all of it.
I'm really trying not to bash this movie, but just I was bored with every single segment.
I thought the alien one was the worst one.
I know they were going.
Okay.
What happened in the alien one?
I watched a lot of movies this week.
She ran into a house, right?
Yeah, she was in a house.
She heard something.
She ran out the house.
Couldn't get the car started.
For some reason, went back into the house where she thought she was in danger originally,
and an alien tried good.
Okay.
Yeah, I forgot about that one.
And that's pretty much it.
If Philip forgot about an alien segment, this is not a good...
a start to what his review is going to be.
Well, I feel
this is like the second time
I've tried to watch this movie because
when we first started doing the terrifier stuff,
I was like, oh, well, where did this character
start? And so I wanted to, I looked
it up and I went back and watched
this one and
like, got
distracted and didn't pay attention
to it at all the first time. And I was like, okay,
well, great. This is another opportunity to watch
it. And I did the exact same
thing. So, okay.
I don't know how much of it I actually even really watched.
It really only got interesting towards the end when Art's actually doing stuff.
Best part of the movie is when she became in the video,
when she all of a sudden was in the video.
And the way the screen changed and it looked like a VHS style recording.
And Art walked up to the screen and was touching the screen.
that stuff was cool give me more of that but all this other stuff where art makes little cameos
and the little short stories that have nothing to do with anything yeah i was i was just
completely bored and i'm glad damien leone is that how you say his name we're going to assume so
okay i'm glad to see he's grown from this yeah and i'm glad
And like I said, no offense to the actor, but I'm glad David Howard Thornton took that role because he's made that role iconic.
Well, this was, to put it in context, this was kind of like the $800 YouTube video that spawned a series of movies, right?
Yeah.
And it's a cool origin story.
Dude, like, if you, any of your favorite bands or whatever, if you go back and listen to their very first shit, it sounds awful.
It's usually bad.
yeah like genesis they were like hippy trippy like listen to the flower people
it's like it's a totally different style the production quality usually really sucks
because they don't have the money to pay for good equipment you know that yeah that's true that's
true i hear earth the clown chopping away back there now bro yeah he doesn't like he doesn't like
my review oh he's coming through your wall dude like behind
you but yeah i i i i don't hate it i still want to give it another chance because right right
fair enough but uh it's it's it's hard to give it a really me yeah it's hard to really even
give it a good review but it was it was sort of out there i mean art the clown is in it but that's really
all you need to know uh and it's not even the same actor so i don't know how important it actually is
it's kind of enough set on this one right yeah good ideas though
I'm glad it happened
so that we could lead to the next few movies.
True.
All right.
Scores for All Hallows Eve.
What do you think, Lance?
Probably less brutal than you guys are going to be.
I'll give it a four on ten.
I mean, it was almost half good.
It was super low budget.
But it had that vibe to it, man.
It had that little Halloween.
I don't know.
I'm just a sucker for that.
So it gets four points for me just for that.
you know, and the trick-or-treating and the fine memories of all that.
And then what if somebody did slip something like that into your, you know, I mean,
I got a VHS tape.
In real life, it would have been a porno, right?
It would have been the super pervert at the end of the street, the 80-year-old pervert,
watching the boy mow the yard with a shirt off, you know, but, uh, four-hunt.
Hey, come over here, you want a glass of water?
All right, four on ten.
Brian, what do you think?
I'll give it a two.
Ooh, out.
I give it one point because it gave us art to plan.
And I give us another point because I'll give it another point because it killed those kids because they were the shittiest kids, especially the boy.
See, that's what I like, the little boy that was like, he-he-he-he-he-he.
What's going to happen next?
His eyes just gleamed to the set.
think that's what gave it a four for me the little boy i thought his acting was great but anyway really
yeah i loved it man that was me that was me when i was a kid i wanted to see people die on screen
there may be something wrong with us but you know what are you going to do uh i'm gonna go
i don't know i think four is a fair score i think uh like i didn't hate it i just i just had a hard
time paying attention to it, which is not a good sign.
But I feel like if I was generous then.
If I was sitting in a theater and like had to watch this thing in front of me,
then I think I would have got a lot more out of it.
So it's all right.
Okay.
But I don't give scores a whole lot lower than fours unless it's a really shitty movie and I hate it.
Oh, yeah, like Black Christmas part.
or whatever it was.
All right.
Jennifer's body.
Not Jennifer's body.
What was that one we saw?
Two, Jennifer.
Oh, man.
See, and I hated being so fucking mean to that movie.
No, I didn't.
I didn't.
No problem with it at all, did you, Brian?
When is this piece of shit going to end?
Terrifier 3.
from
2024 brand new in the theaters
go see it folks
art the clown
is set to unleash
number one movie in the theaters
number one movie
over the Joker
that's right
that was one of the articles I read
yeah
which Joker
yeah which clown
range and cream
now we know
now we know
now we know
Art the clown is set to unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.
He's like the Grinch, kind of.
Oh, he played the Grinch, remember, in the mean one.
Oh, that's right.
Sorry, Universal.
Sorry, Universal, he played the Grinch.
Oh, the green one, that's right.
In the mean one, okay.
Director and writer is Damien Leone.
director Damien Leone says that several big studios showed interest in financing this movie based on the unexpected success of Terrifier 2
even without a full script but he turned them all down because he is certain they would never let him film the opening scene alone
which he describes is very controversial
Leon commented that the only reason that he can be so uncompromising in his depiction of horror and core
is because he finances his movies independently, creates all the special effects himself to keep cost down,
and has no big studio breathing down his neck to make the movie more mainstream.
Well, that's a point right there.
I think all three of us would agree, right?
whatever our scores end up being here.
Yeah, good for you.
Or as Philip would say, good for you.
It was a Christian bail thing.
Ah, good for you.
All right, yeah.
All right.
Lance, what did you think about Terrify a 3?
This is Art the Clown.
This is our, this is our Art the Clown.
Oh, man, I went into this really wanting to love it.
And I was like, okay, I was a little thrown off.
Why are we doing a Christmas movie in October?
But I get it.
You know, it's, it's Halloween season.
It's the right time of year or whatever.
And you got a lot of great cameos in here.
I'm sure we're going to get into some of those later,
including actors that have been in several other Christmas slasher movies,
which is kind of fun.
And Art the Clown, as always, finds incredibly creative ways to kill people,
which I love.
It is very, very creative art the way that you kill people.
I mean, my God, it's like, I felt like it was back in chemistry class where they were showing us how to use liquid nitrogen and what not to do and how not to accidentally get that liquid nitrogen on your finger and that type of thing.
So lots of fun kills.
I got to, I got to say that while I did love the first part of the movie, which is mostly where you're,
he was like going on to killing spree and stuff like that.
And as much as I do love the beautiful actress, you know,
that that's going to apparently continue to play his nemesis.
I did find the story a little bit disjointed.
No, that was in the trailer.
You said, never mind.
He said she's going to continue to play his nemesis.
Oh, okay, okay.
That may or may not continue to play his nemesis, right?
Well, she was his nemesis in the second one.
Can we say that?
Okay.
Yeah.
And she continues to be in this one.
Can we say that?
Sure.
Okay.
So, all right.
And then, of course, her geeky brother and all that, which, you know, you got people back that were in the others.
And you even got a character from the first movie, which was kind of weird.
But you didn't get the little girl.
I really wanted the little girl.
She was there.
And we'll get to that spoiler.
Okay.
All right.
I better be careful.
I got to dance around a lot here like art does, you know, killing somebody and then dancing around with glee.
So his facial features are amazing.
I mean, this is the guy to play his art forever, for sure.
I love some of the shoutouts to.
And, dude, guys, there were a lot of.
Christmas Easter eggs in here, right?
From other Christmas movies.
Like even bad Santa, right?
With the elves and the Santas and the mall and all that stuff, which was a lot of fun.
So, yeah, this movie for me was like a lot of fun to it, but the story to me is really
disjointed.
I hope one of you guys can explain to me either before or, you know, when we get into
spoilers or whatever, exactly what's going on here because maybe I'm just not smart enough
to get it all.
But I will say of the three terrifier movies, this is my least favorite.
Really?
Yeah.
Of the three, this is my least favorite because the first for me, number one,
had one of the most iconic kills in a horror movie history.
Number two, you had a lot of great kills and like just unrelenting blood and gore,
but it was a two and a half hour movie.
This movie at two hours and seven minutes was a little.
long in the tooth for me, which I kind of wish it had been a little shorter. But you had a lot of
great people show up. So I'm kind of torn on this. I really need to hear what you guys have to say.
I didn't hate it. I really enjoyed it. It was a fun time at the movies. It very refreshing,
fun to see, great creative kills, but definitely my least favorite of the three unless somebody
can change my mind. And that's it until I start spoiling, until I start crowing the hell out of
this movie.
All right. Brian, what do you think?
I enjoyed this one from start to beginning.
I did have a couple of hangups in there.
We'll talk about that in spoilers.
But, yeah, Art the Clown.
Such a fucking asshole with his kills.
And it's so much fun.
He is a mean-spirited human being.
He has so much gleeed.
Not even human being, yeah.
They brought back the actress from the first one.
Samantha
Safidy
who played the
his accomplice
Yep
Yep
Fucking great performance
Yes
That is a
Fucking terrifying mask
Yeah
Yeah and that bathtub
Same
nasty
Nasty nasty
The scene after that
With the shard of glass
Yeah
I was like
Oh my God
What is
This movie is
super fucking gross, by the way.
But if you're a Terrifire...
Which we love. If you're a Terrifire fan, you already
know. Yeah.
If you're watching Terrorfire 3 and you're
not a fan, I don't know
why you or how you got to 3.
Yeah. Because
the Gore just continued to
get up its game.
Well, the second...
The second one wasn't in the theater, was it?
Yeah.
Oh, it was? Oh, that's right. It was.
I think it was limited.
Oh, that's right. Release, maybe?
Yeah.
But this was a pretty wide release.
I mean, it sounds like it killed it, dude.
People are just looking for some Halloween stuff,
and I imagine quite a few of them had no idea what they were walking into.
Guys, let's face facts.
We will never get David Howard Thornton on this show again, ever.
Let's just drift down reality.
He got him when nobody was really talking about terror fire.
That's true.
We've seen the diamond in the rough back then.
just like
CPS all acts
the rough
fell up
and
playing the lottery
right
I know
I know
Lauren
Lavera
as Sienna
gorgeous
talented
actress
I think it's a travesty
that I have not
seen her
and more
after Terrorfire 2
we will
we will
I have no doubt
I think she's a
good actress
she also does her own stunts and as a martial artist
Yep, I do remember you talking about that before
So that's cool
In this movie, when you see near the end
When she's getting tossed around the living room
And throwing through tables and stuff
I believe that's actually her
That's awesome
I like the niece
I like the little girl I thought she did a good job
Actually she probably would have been better in all Hallows Eve
Right as one of those kids
more believable than the two that we got, right?
We're done talking about that movie.
Okay.
But I thought the kills were phenomenal.
I was worried because he was kind of handing it over to an effects company for this third movie.
Okay.
But once I found out he was kind of overseeing it with the effects company, it kind of
made it a little bit easier.
Okay.
And I thought they did a phenomenon.
job on the effects.
They were gory. They were brutal.
Yeah. They were fucking mean-spirited.
Yeah.
And I thought
trying to get into spoilers.
Yeah, I just had a great time
with this movie.
All right. Yeah, I kind of felt
the same way. This one might
be my favorite. I mean...
Oh, nice. I'm glad to hear that.
The first one's pretty raw. I don't
really remember a lot from it. I need to go back and
we watch that one, which I'm probably going to do after this show.
Dude, the scene in the pizza restaurant.
Like, where he's sitting down and watching her and staring at her and, ugh.
Oh, yeah.
That's my favorite.
The first is still my favorite of the three.
I mean, you're really not coming to these movies for a whole lot of story.
It's mostly about the super creative, really gory kills, and they deliver on that a lot.
And I think they do a great deal.
job of it i think one of the questions as soon as spoiler start is going to have to be favorite kill
you know and uh because because they do so many different things that are all so super fucking gross
like you said people were walking out of the theater in this one because of the opening scene
because of the opening scene which is supposed to be controversial oh i think because of the we'll get to it
Spoilers, I think, because of the children involved.
I know.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But that's what I'm saying.
That's that, if you,
because, you know, sometimes if you're watching the Halloween movies that are coming out or whatever,
and Michael Myers is staring over at the crib and you're like,
yep, they're not going to let him kill that little kid.
And they usually don't, right?
And they don't, they don't.
Of course, they're not going to let him kill the kid.
I can't.
Or, I killed a dog.
Fuck, he's killing everybody.
It doesn't matter if you do anything wrong or not.
I love it.
I love it.
He's the honey badger.
But yeah, man, I really enjoyed this one.
Arch Pound is great.
His little sidekick chick, which I have questions about.
I guess we'll get into that in spoilers.
Because I'm not, I can't really remember a lot of these movies, man,
especially these in particular
I had a hard time paying attention because it's
really just like
you know
gore porn
and
and and
and so I haven't always really
paid attention to the story but I think I want to
go back through and watch them all from the
beginning so that I can hang on to the story
with the exception of all Hallows Eve
because it doesn't matter
you're not going to watch it all Hallows Eve too
no it's not really a part
of this
there's not a
That's not a thing, is it?
It's not part of the artiverse, so.
I don't know.
Is Art the clown in all-house-Z-2?
I don't know.
I've never seen it.
I don't want to.
Don't need to.
Okay.
And I'll bet it's a different...
If arts in it, I'll watch it.
Because I think this is the beginning of a brand-new fucking Freddy Kruger, man.
Like, it's going to take hold, and he's just going to keep on going.
It already has.
Yeah, it's...
It's going to go down as, oh, man, you want to see the grossest horror movie, the one with the best kills and all the blood and the guts and everything.
Dude, I was all about that stuff when I was younger, you know?
We all were faces of death.
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah, exactly.
They got parachuting into the alligators.
Yeah.
And usually when they tell you, like, I remember when, like, Raw came out in the theaters or whatever.
And they were like, oh.
We watched that together, Phil.
Yeah, Philip, he hated it.
And people are so grossed out.
It's gonna, like, they were, they were running out of the theater or whatever because
it was so disgusting.
And I was like, what, dude?
There was nothing gross about that.
This one?
It was ridiculous.
This one is super fucking gross.
There's blood and guts everywhere.
So, yeah, I got to give it points on that, which is obviously what it was trying to accomplish.
And turned Art the clown into a legend.
The box
Mission accomplished
Box office record setting
legend, you know?
Who would have thought?
I know.
All right.
Lance scores?
Seven on ten.
Seven.
Brian.
Seven.
Eight and a half.
Nice.
I'm going to go seven and a half.
Okay.
But I reserve your right to change that later.
Okay.
All right.
Spoilers.
This is a motherfucking spoiler alert.
You've been fucking warned.
This is a motherfucking spoiler alert.
You've been fucking warned.
This is a motherfucking spoiler alert.
You've been fucking warned.
And I'm looking at the box office.
This movie came out on the 11th,
with a budget of $2 million and is already box office 26.3.
Jesus Christ.
This is the next criminal activity, huh?
Well, there's definitely going to make a bunch more.
But I'm okay with that.
Like, give me more Art the Clown.
They're doing exactly what they should be doing with him.
And to answer your question, Lance,
the little pale girl is what they call her from Terrifier 2.
Yeah.
She is Victoria, his accomplice.
She's the little girl is possessing her.
Okay.
I guess I see that now.
See, I also missed the clown cafe part.
That was the creepiest part of the second movie for me,
although they did play it over the loudspeaker in that one scene,
but they didn't like take you back to that setting,
which looked like an old Sesame Street show or something like that.
That's what made it extra creepy for me in the second movie
when they were doing the clown cafe sequence.
So I kind of missed that.
And then I really love that fucking kill,
with the chick upside down in the first move.
Well, you got to...
The girls were trying to eat pizza in peace, right?
On Halloween night, and he's over there just, you know, staring at him.
You know, and then giving her a flower.
It's just, that's classic art, man.
And he got a lot of that here, right?
A lot of the facial expressions and all that kind of stuff.
I was going to say, you didn't get the girl upside down,
but you got the guy from the shower
got the chainsaw up his ass
yeah like
yeah that's pretty rough way up there
that was not a great
way to go
I gotta say
fair enough
fair enough
that
I don't know which one made me spur
more it was either that one of the rats
alright
here's my dude if we're doing favorite kills
I got it I gotta give it
to the liquid nitrogen
the fucking little liquid
Nighter.
He's so playful with it.
And seeing Clint Howard,
holy shit, movie legend, right?
Yeah, and Daniel Robo was Santa Claus.
Is that who that was?
I knew I recognized him.
He's aged a little bit, but so have we, right?
Yeah.
So, yeah, that bar scene was probably my favorite.
I love the liquid nitrogen
if I'm in a vote.
The most
I keep hearing about how
controversial the opening scene
was that nobody's talking about he
fucking blew up a bunch of kids.
Yeah.
That's what I'm saying. It's not like those are the
only kids he killed in the movie. If you're
leaving during that one, hey, you left it a good time
I guess. Open the little box.
Yeah, because the opening
the opening scene
he chops up one kid off screen.
Yeah, exactly.
And then we don't see what he does to the second kid.
Yep.
But in the middle of the movie, a bunch of kids going to meet Santa Claus,
he fucking blows up at least 20 kids.
Yeah.
Not to mention elves, mall security,
everybody else that was in the way, right?
Collateral damage.
He's laughing about it.
But if I had to say something that was a little on the downside for me,
I think we didn't get to see Laura Lavera Sienna character do badass things enough.
Yeah, that's true.
I guess.
Because I guess it's been six years.
She's been in a mental institute.
She's having issues and stuff, but that was most of the movie.
And then she doesn't get badass until the last like 20 minutes.
Fair enough.
Yeah.
If that.
Well, she had, at least she had the scars, at least she had the, the, the, the, the
scars that the niece was so enamored with, you know?
But why did they even see?
I know, I know.
But why, why did they even bring the fucking nerdy brother back that was in college?
I mean, that was, that was kind of wasted, wasn't it?
I mean, so that they could kill him.
Was that really necessary?
He's a survivor of the original one.
Can't just not mention him.
True. True enough.
True enough.
They kill him.
That's what they're there.
Did they kill him?
There is that.
Well, I don't know.
I guess they never proved it except that I wouldn't.
They had to get the skull from somewhere, although I don't know, these motherfuckers,
they probably got skulls hanging out in the back of the trunk.
I don't think he's dead.
You don't think so?
I just think for somebody that's a family care.
I don't think that's somebody that was a problem.
I guarantee you we're going to find out.
I don't think that some
go ahead Lance
you go
I don't think that
somebody that was a prominent character
throughout the movie
is just going to get killed off screen
that's a good point
so maybe they do bring him back
maybe they got a plan
I mean
I was Brian I was going to kind of say they
sort of did it to Jamie Lee Curtis
and one of the Halloween movies,
even though that was kind of on screen,
but then they brought her back, right?
Good point.
In which timeline?
Exactly.
Oh, let's not, please, let's not get an art multiverse, please.
Can we keep one single storyline going at least?
They ended it with a cliffhanger
because the ground opened up
and the girl fell into some kind of void.
And she,
the Sienna character said,
I'm going to find you no matter what.
And then cut to art,
getting on the public bus.
That was pretty cool.
Yeah.
That was pretty cool.
Yeah, I like that.
I like that ending.
So it was already even?
Because, yeah, you guys are right.
That definitely leaves the door wide open for more movies, right?
I think he's some sort of entity.
Some sort of entity.
Just pure evil.
Yeah.
Pure evil.
He does have a lot of fun with it, though.
I got to give him credit.
Gotta love it, man.
Oh, we kind of glossed over it with the masturbation scene with the shard of glass.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, God.
I don't know if anybody's been really talking about that either.
Yeah, that was...
But there's another...
creative,
gory gross scene
because I,
like,
she picks that up
and I'm like,
what is,
what,
she's not going to do that.
Oh,
no.
Oh,
no.
Oh,
no.
Like,
it just kept going.
And she sounded like she,
she really sounded like she enjoyed it too.
Yeah.
That's true.
Great,
great sound editing on that one.
Yeah.
I've never,
I've never heard such a realistic,
orgasm in my life.
Oh,
Bada bim,
Bada boom.
So that was a great character, man.
Like, the makeup on that thing is amazing.
Like, that eyeball hanging out is, like,
super terrifying.
Yeah.
Just how she played the character,
just like the way she was, like,
at the end, kind of taunting Sienna.
Like, kill me.
Do it.
Do it.
You know, they don't want to.
You know.
know, just that whole, because it was almost like a variation of art.
Yeah.
The way she was enjoying everything.
Yeah.
Because, like, well, because art can't talk, so she kind of talks for him.
That works.
He did scream in this one, though.
That was a lot for that character at the end.
Oh, that was the first, huh?
Yeah.
All right.
I think that's enough for this one.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Here's to more art, right?
I think three thumbs up for a terror fire four.
New holiday classic.
New holiday classic.
He's going to be the next Jason.
All kinds of t-shirts.
I think he's the current Jason, right?
Yeah.
All right.

We're not going to find those lost episodes of Tales from the Crypt, are we, Brian?
Those are gone to the sands of time?
I wouldn't even know where to look.
Okay.
But we will begin again.
So we'll figure out which one we left off on.
Next week, Halloween month continues.
and we are going to the theater again for Smile 2.
And Brian picked a movie that is a bit controversial
because I've told a few people we're going to cover it,
and they both said, oh, it sucks,
but that was just a couple of people.
But do you guys even remember the Ring 2 at all?
I remember the CGI deer that was jumping over the car.
Well, we're going to relive it because we're going to do
the ring two along with smile too so uh brian until the whore returns again good night
