Welcome back to the horror returns
I'm your host Brian
And again
No Lance
No Phil
But I got my brother Ness with me.
What's up, man?
I'm good, brother.
Just living life and trying to do what we got to do, man.
And these damn grandkids are killing me.
One of them got sick.
He's been sick for two days.
He was like hacking up his lungs and shitting his pants and everything out.
He brought something home.
And I have a feeling this can go through all.
of us like it always does.
Usually the way it works.
Yeah, man, these damn kids, man, everyone,
they're dirty at school. No one cares.
Man, I'm sure we were pretty dirty too
and we were going to school, but
we were back in our day, though, we were immune
to things. Yeah, I remember
being sick a few times, but not
not like these guys
that are sick like all the
time. I mean, he
plays ball and this is going to be the first game
he's going to miss and I know he's kind of bummed because I was talking to him earlier you can be
okay to play ball tomorrow and he was like I don't know because all this kid wants to do is practice
let's go practice let's go practice and he's this is his first year he's playing t-ball he plays
first base and he's he's not scared of the ball that's I told him I said you're why you I said
everybody gets hit with the ball I mean don't act like you're not going to get hit but so keep
your eye he almost got hit in the head the last
game he wasn't paying attention and I was yelling at him I was like watch the ball look
because he he turned just in time to see it coming and he ducked I was like oh man but I said
you got to watch the ball especially you're on first base you know watch up with those line
drives and so he's getting it though but I don't know he was he was kind of down and
out and he was just all night he did good last night but the night before
before he was just hacking everything up.
And he was fine. He was running around outside.
But when he came down to go to bed, he started coughing.
And I don't feel good.
I was like, oh.
Yeah, I'm still sick.
Just as the sunshine's coming out up here, I just happened to get sick.
It's all gray.
Sunshine got you sick.
Yeah.
Well, which,
you got for a cool of the week.
What was that shit called?
Punisher,
one last kill. Did you watch that?
Hell yeah. Oh, my God,
Ben, I wasn't expecting to cry.
Yeah, they hit you with the emotions
in the beginning and then
went into some raid redemption shit at the end.
Oh, hell yeah, it did. I mean, that was glorious, man.
It was like he just,
I get it. The beginning was rough.
And I felt, I felt his pain every minute of it to the talking to yourself and just not giving a fuck.
And all of that, I was just like, oh, man.
And sitting at the cemetery and talking to yourself and crying, I know that all too well.
So I was sitting there like, oh, man, I thought it was just thought it was going to get some kicking.
ass why you hitting me with the feelings so but man when he sprung into action spoiler
a lot you guys should have seen it by now but when he sprung into action it just started
fucking i'm fucking up everybody that was in his way and what started it all it was like it was
already a rough neighborhood but it just like i think that crime family he took out uh-huh made it
so there was no
body running the neighborhood, so it was just a free-for-all.
Because I assume they knew he was there
because they were calling his name.
And he just said, fuck it.
He started bringing it too.
And I was like, these people seem to know who he is,
but don't seem to know who he is.
Yeah.
Because if you know who he is,
you ain't running up on him with no fucking baseball bat.
I don't know.
When those fools charged him,
with the guns and he was just kicking.
He had no guns.
He was taking all his guns from everyone.
Yeah, I heard that stunt he did.
That was actually him with the legs caught on fire.
Uh-huh.
Oh, man.
Jumped through the door, beating people's ass with his feet on fire.
That was all him, all John Bernthaw.
He was born to play that role.
Oh, man.
It was, yeah, he was Shane and made you hate him.
But, I'm mad.
he's frank castle now but i mean i i loved the show every time he popped up here and there we're
going to get him a spider-man but the punisher is golf lunger i don't care what anyone said have
we done that yet no no we're going to have to fall down that punisher hole we ain't done naked frank
castle sitting in the sewer we need that one we need the the thomas jane one and um
what was the war zone guy
didn't he pass away
yeah
let me see
someone's he on it
he was in one of them Star Wars series too
yeah he was one of the
the um
uh ray stevenson
rest in peace
punisher war zone
I remember I mean I like the
Thomas Jane one I thought that was cool
Punisher Warzone
Violent. That was
That's the comic book
Punisher.
I mean
Thomas Jane was just the
good looking Punisher guy.
But yeah, Warzone was
the comic books. I mean, they brought
in comic book bad guys and
everything, man.
I was shocked at that one. I was kind of like,
man, where's Thomas Jane? But then
when that movie got going, I was like,
whoa, this was elegant.
good but this one are we gonna get another season of punisher or is he just gonna pop up in
doomsday like everyone else i don't know i just know this leads into what his character's
gonna be doing in spider-man so is he gonna be trying to kill spider-man because when when he first met
spider-man he was trying to kill him they might have a fight but i don't know i think he's
still after that lady
whatever
her name was Ma Nucci
or whatever
I don't remember
I have to go back
Was there one season or two?
This was it?
No
On Netflix?
Yeah
Two.
Okay
I don't even remember those
I just remember when he was in prison
killing everyone.
I remember all that.
Yeah.
Did you finish
Daredevil? Yeah, I finished
all that before this. Yeah, me
too. I had to binge it real quick.
Yeah, I didn't know if this was
going to tie into that.
Man, don't get
me wrong. I mean, Jessica Jones,
but I hate that lady.
I mean, I hate her because of the character
she played in Breaking Bad
when she turned Jesse
on Walt and tried
to get that money. I was like, good,
glad you died. But
I tried with the Jessica Jones show
And I just said this is boring
First season's good
I didn't like it
I was like ha
But I never seen the second season
I didn't even finish the first
But when the defenders came out
I was like man she was awesome in that one
But then I went let me give Jessica Jones another try
I was like I can't do it
but yeah that was cool um it was good to see uh what's his name pop up at the end luke cage
i wasn't a spoiler lane yeah where was uh fin jones he's coming he's coming hell yeah
are they gonna be in uh doomsday or secret wars or any of those uh i think they
because they're already filming season three or daredevil already yeah
And they all, like, took a picture together, like a behind-scenes picture.
Hmm.
Let me see.
Because I didn't even think we were going to get a cameo from Luke Cage because all the things were saying he was filming season three.
I had no idea.
I wasn't expecting him.
I didn't even realize that was his daughter.
Yeah, that's from the comics.
Yeah, when they showed her, I went, ah, okay.
It's Luke Cage's daughter.
Where is he?
and then he shows up
so how I was juiced
all right
wait what happened
trying to look at the cover
of uh
I like that
finale with Kingpin too
yeah
people stormed the building
and he was just like open the door
oh hell yeah
he was bringing it to those fools
they all thought they could have it
hell no he was lighting them up
bent that guy backwards
against the corner of that wall
that was kingpin
that was comic book stuff so I thought that was cool
I was like you definitely is not getting
reelected
I can't remember if
I don't think the defenders were in the secret wars
the real
secret wars not this whatever
we're getting
I'm talking about the comic book from 1984
that's the secret wars I don't know
what we're getting
movie wise but we shall see but yeah Punisher man that oh man that was so good
it's rough man bring your tissues they had me the beginning and the end
oh man but uh I was pumped I like anything else
uh trying to do so I watched uh two um I guess it was a
horror movie. We bury the
dead. Did you what? Did you guys do that one?
With, uh, with
Daisy, yeah, I'll sing that one.
It's more of a drama.
Yeah, it kind of reminded me
of, um, did you say that one with Arnold
and his daughter? Oh, Maggie?
Yeah. Yeah, it's like
drama with the side of
zombies. Yeah, I mean,
I assume these were zombies, but they
weren't like, uh,
eating you or anything i don't know remember that oh man that shit they were doing with their teeth
and they're grinding them so hard they were breaking i was like oh man but it was a good movie i liked
what was going on it was a different uh take on the whole zombie thing and it was all because of
america yeah i thought it was well made well acted it's just i think i said it on a previous episode
if you think you're coming in for a horror movie,
then you're going to be disappointed
because it's more of a drama piece.
I was like, okay, this is going to be different
because it's raising it.
I don't think it's going to be bloody off the wall type of thing.
But when it was all said and done,
it was over, I liked it.
I thought it was a good movie.
I'd watch it again.
I watched that.
And that one, I wrote it all down.
What did I watch?
I think other than the movie we're going to talk about.
What did I watch?
Oh, whistle.
That was the one.
That came out earlier this year.
That was cool.
I liked it for what it was.
There was some good death scenes in there.
Yeah.
It's like Final Destination.
Spoiler alert.
I just kind of automatically kind of skimmed through the credits and there was that one extra scene.
That sucked though.
I thought whoever blew the whistle would come and try to get you.
But it was like whoever heard it.
And spoiler alert, when that girl got up on stage in front of the whole school and blew the whistle and they were like, no!
Then it was over.
I was like, we, they got to go through all that again.
Like the whole school does.
but I thought it was cool
I liked it
and I watched that other one
The Rip
with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck
That was that was pretty decent
Oh hell yeah that was badass
It came out earlier this year
But I was meant to
To get to it
So I've been trying to
Let me watch some of this new shit
Because I wanted to see we buried the dead too
But that came and went
Good to see what's the name in a movie
Supergirls
she was in there she was the the one that stayed at the house that they were ripping
which one supergirl the flash supergirl oh oh i thought you met the one for the movie
oh no all right but yeah that's that's all i've been just watching stuff for the for the show
oh i watched um heather o'rork she was
here that documentary on her i heard that was sad oh my god i was like oh why am i watching this
shout out to uh nightmare christie she was the one she posted something about it going oh man this
was rough and i didn't i didn't know they they made this documentary so i watched it and oh man
i mean even just that little bit on cursed uh cursed films on shutter i felt for the director
Poltergey. I did too, man. That one was wrong. And I like Poltergeist
3, but... Yeah, because he didn't even want to finish filming it.
Uh-uh. But the studio was like, nope, you got to do it. You got to finish it. I was like,
you don't realize just what he went through because he had a little bond in a connection
with her while they were filming. It was one of the pallbearers and all that. And I was like,
man, and then he just won't finish a movie that my friend basically is,
This movie daughter just died.
And, oh, I knew that they,
they didn't diagnose her right,
but that's documentary,
they go into more on what it was.
And I was like, oh, man, I was like,
I had to finish it, so I got through,
but man, it was rough watching now.
I mean, I wouldn't,
I don't think I could watch that again.
It was just, it was just too sad.
if they were diagnosed her right she'd still be with us today
and i don't even think she would be um in front of the camera the way she was talking on that
is she wanted to to make movies and direct movies and write movies she wanted to be
behind the camera probably what made her have a bond with the polter guys three director she
was probably interested in what he was doing behind the camera that's what that's what they
was saying they were saying that he she would always sit there and and had a million questions how does
this work how does that how do you do this why do you do this this and that she wanted to do what he was
doing and i it was it was rough man i was like oh man i was just i said let me just leave these
tissues right here and now i was oh like i got through it but it was it was rough man i just
I didn't know the little girl
But man, it just
It just broke my heart on what was going on
And when they were talking to her mom too
I was like, oh man
That was rough
But yeah man
All the shit I've been watching lately
It's sad
But it was good man
I'm glad I watched all this stuff
What was that on?
I ended up renting it
It was on
Oh, okay
Prime but I'm sure it's out there
somewhere but um
i haven't made it out to mortal combat too yet hopefully uh
i heard it's good yeah theo saw it he said it was good
remember no giving i love my brother to death but sometimes i can't trust
i mean it's not like movie of the year but i heard it's like super fun
michael is the movie of the year so far you see that not yet i've been watching this
guys,
uh,
YouTube videos on all the things that they left out of the movie that they didn't talk about.
Yeah,
there was a lot.
I mean,
because people didn't sign off on it.
And I was telling somebody,
somebody was getting all mad about that they left certain things out.
And I was like,
his family made it.
They're not going to put all the controversial allegations and all that kind of stuff in
the movie.
All that's late.
Maybe that's in the next movie
Yeah
As much money is this thing
Go ahead
As much money as this movie made
There's definitely gonna be
Another one because that was just
Not even
Half of Michael's career
That was all just what they could jam
In two hours
It was like it was all over the place
I mean but it was good
And the way to see that movie
Was an IMAX
I saw it here in a little screen in my town
Well, it's one in one of the bigger theaters
But I was like, oh, that was good.
I liked it.
My buddy wanted to see it.
He's like, dude, let's go see it in IMAX.
I was like, man, I already seen it.
And he's like, come on, man, I don't want to go by myself.
So we went.
And I was tired, too.
It was right after work.
I'm like, man, I was scared that I was on fall asleep
watching it.
But man, I was juiced.
and it filled the whole screen the whole time.
It wasn't like some of the movies.
Oh, this certain scenes were filmed in IMAX,
and then the rest of it,
you can get like a letterbox format.
Like it goes back and forth.
I have a feeling Mandalorian and Grogrey is going to do that
because they showed the trailer for it.
And it was going back and forth.
It was like, fill the screen for a few seconds.
And then it would go.
I was like, oh, man.
Why are people counting that movie out already?
I don't know
I'm not
I'll let you guys know
next week
when I see it
Yeah
I mean I want to watch it
I just
It's just
People just hate Star Wars
Turned on it already
I'm like man
Just
Enjoy it
I don't know if there's any
You listeners
But I've been saying this
From the get go
All you young
Young listeners
Are young people out there
I've been
With Star Wars
from the beginning
from 1977
when it was just called
Star Wars
no episode 4
no a new hope
that didn't come out
into the 80s
I say it's all the time
on our show
a lot of you young guys
you're lucky
on how much Star Wars
you guys are getting
anything
yeah
Marvel DC
all of that
video game movies
yeah we didn't have
any of that shit
I mean
the only
comic book movies we had
was Superman in the 70s
and then the ones that came out in the 80s
and we didn't get Batman
well the Adam West Batman
was whenever that came out
70s 60s probably 60s
but we didn't get actual
Batman movie until 89
yeah
and then
a few years and then we got
the other ones
and then
ruling the 2000s late 90s
boom they were coming out left and
right. I mean,
the Spider-Man movies came out.
And then once Marvel Studios
hit, you got Iron Man
and Incredible Hulk and boom, boom, boom,
all these movies
that were coming. Just left and
right, man. MCU is probably
like almost in the 30s
of movies. And Star Wars, man,
we only had those three
movies and that was it. Yeah,
I just don't get it. Like, with
the MCU thing, everybody
wanted more, more, more.
Then they gave you more, and then everybody's like, it's too much.
Yeah, they turned on them.
Because I'm like, man.
It's like, y'all asked for it.
Everyone was like, Ah, Eternal is the worst movie ever made.
I don't hate that movie.
I didn't either.
I mean, I wasn't up to knowledge on the comic book lore of the Eternals,
because it wasn't like a story that I did interest me.
But, I mean, I'll go see the movie.
The movie was okay.
Didn't need to be as long as it was.
I liked it.
And then everybody,
I was complaining about it.
Like, man,
can't please no way.
Hey, I mean, I bitch about a lot of shit too.
But I appreciate all the comic book movies we got,
all the Star Wars movies we got,
and TV shows and everything.
But I always say this about you.
Even if you are complaining about something,
you'll watch it.
Oh, yeah.
And give your honest opinion.
complain about something and not watch it.
I got something I didn't see it.
Ah, it's crap and da-da-da-da-da.
Do you see it? No.
I ain't could do that.
I don't want to see it.
I know plenty of people that will complain about
something that they've never even seen.
I'm just like, how do you know
it's bad?
Yeah, I'll let you guys know.
I'm getting a double dose on the first
day.
Going to IMAX and then we're going to the
Almo Draft House to watch it in.
Some
crazy format
with with theo
yeah
um
I don't
it's what is it called
you guys got to do a straight out of the theater
review
yeah we're gonna do a in the truck
um
we're not gonna do it like
well we'll probably do some quick little videos on
Instagram and TikTok and stuff
and hey we just saw it why nah
this and that of course we're both gonna love it
uh it probably won't be my favorite
movie the year but um i know it's going to be deals i can tell you that right now yeah i've been
seeing them uncle pictures he's been posting oh yeah uh we're going to all moll draft house in san
rancash in the quote new mission uh the mission's getting gentrified that's what they have to call on new
But anyway, we're seeing it in HDR by Barco.
I do not know what that is.
You got to tell me about it because I just posted a Mandalorian Grogu poster that said that on it.
And I was like, what is this?
Is this some new shit I don't know about?
It says, enjoy a premium projection experience with richer color, deeper contrast, and an incredible detail.
HDR by
Barco
Braco
Brings
every scene
to life
Okay
We'll see
What it is
Well I'll compare it from
IMAX
To
HDR by Barco
I want to see
Shout out to Taylor
He saw
Some movie
And he
He saw it in some
Uh
The screen is like bigger than a regular screen,
but it's kind of like it's flat and then kind of the two on the left and the right.
It's kind of like three screens.
Oh, I know what you're talking about.
I don't know what that's called.
Where it's like it's kind of surrounding you kind of.
Yeah.
I can't remember what he saw.
He had sent me a picture.
Oh, I'm about to watch whatever, whatever.
And I was kind of thinking, all right, that screen looks kind of small.
and then I really looked at it
and I was like oh it's one of those screens
and damn I can't remember what he's seen
something recently in the last couple months
but
I'm okay man
just make the movie good
and whatever this
HDR thing is
I don't know
it's uh
in the
the biggest screen
um
at the Alamo Draft House.
I hope the seats are better.
Because the last time I was there, I saw the original OG Dawn of the Dead on the big screen.
I hadn't seen that since it came out.
Did you see the 3D version?
No, I saw just the regular version.
Mike saw the 3D one.
Yeah, I took my daughter to whatever anniversary it was and they were shown in 3D.
Was it worth it in 3D?
Not for me, but she thought it was cool.
that was cool for me.
I don't like those conversions.
Well, majority of these 3D movies are conversions,
but I don't like it.
When we saw Fantastic Four,
when we saw it at Comic Con,
we saw it in 3D,
and I was like, eh,
I wasn't impressed with it.
I need to rewatch that movie.
It was all right, but I didn't.
I liked it, but out of the,
what was it, Superman and Fantastic Four?
going against each other. I thought Superman was better.
I had my favorite parts of that. It was all right.
Thunderbolts was my favorite comic book movie last year.
But yeah, I'll let you guys know what this
HDR by Barco thing is. I mean, I assume
it's just going to look like it's going to jump out of the screen at us, so we'll
see. Theo said we had to pay extra.
Oh, like, damn.
He wants to go there because he's the biggest Star Wars collector I know.
Are they giving away something?
A pint glass.
We got a pint glass when we saw Rogue One.
I was like 10 years ago.
I don't even know what I did with it.
Maybe I just brought it home and just put it in the cabinet.
I don't even remember what was on it.
But this one, speaking of Star Wars or a Mandalorian,
Burger King with all their shit that came out, the Mando meal and all.
Yeah, I've seen the advertisement for that.
That burger did me wrong.
I don't know if it was the sauce or the fried pickle chips that were on it.
I don't know.
It was a lot.
Oh, man.
I was like, oh, cool.
I'll eat it.
And later at work, I was like, oh.
Or it could have been the, what the hell they call those?
The Mando something.
No, I think there were cheese tots, Grogu's cheese tots or something.
I think that's what it was.
Oh, man, they were kind of rugged.
I didn't like them.
Yeah.
On it right here.
I think it was the cheese.
tauts or whatever. Imperial cheddar
ranch tauts. Yeah.
Man, they show you all
these cool boxes
and everything. Well, I got the
big
the Mandalorian box. I got that, but
cheese tots. Can you get one of the cups?
No. Oh, I got one
of the cups. I guess there's
three more. Theo just said he went
in there and bought all of them. Said they were like two bucks.
I got
I don't know, some character.
I don't know. I said, man, I want the
Grogo one.
I have to go in our Burger King
see if they still have them.
Real question is, did Theo get one of the
Grogu crowns?
Oh, I did.
I got both of them. I got the Grogu one
and the Mando one.
They had them just sitting on the counter. I said,
I'll take two of these.
But yeah, I mean, that
that burger is just a whopper
with whatever
Mando sauce or something on it.
And then Grogu's
little pickled chips.
That sounds so wrong with
mandos sauce on it.
I wonder one of those shakes,
but I went to the doctor
and they told me you need to stop
eating sugar and you need to stop
having
lactose or milk
products or whatever.
Yeah, all the stuff you love
can't have it no more.
No, I mean, I wasn't that big of a
sweet guy. It's not like I have to have
bags of candy with me. It was
like if it was there
I eat it but I'm not running out of the store
running to the store to get it but
I love ice cream
and cheese
and she's like
well I'm sorry to tell you
but you can't eat cheese no more
you can't have sugar and stay away
from hot dogs
I get the hot dog thing
with all the stuff that's in it
the lips and assholes
but
I'm like
I can't eat hot dogs and cheese
You went, nope.
I pretty, I was the type of guy.
I had cheese every day.
That's how much I love cheese.
Put it on my eggs.
I'd get cheese sticks or just the little snack things of sharp cheddar,
bag of chips, and I would just sit there and eat that.
Like it was nothing.
Now I can't have it.
She said if you have cheese, just,
minimize it. If it's little
doses, that's okay, but don't
eat blocks of cheese like
you did. I'm like,
ah,
so
if one of the kids got this, a little
Grogoo shake, I'd at least take a sip,
but
I was like, man, you can't have nothing
no more, so
I guess it's just water and
plain iced tea.
So, I don't
know. But she goes, well, if you have to have something,
sweet and you have a soda, drink one of those
zero sugar sodas.
I said, oh, okay, I can do that.
I said, I could live
with that, but
she goes, just kind of
cut down on some of it.
Don't go overboard.
So,
so I don't know, maybe the
Mando Burger didn't,
uh, didn't agree with me.
Because I was like, oh,
I felt rough.
After that.
But, uh,
All right, that's enough of
the food returns and
Star Wars returns.
Let me see what I have watched.
I'm going to start with my
Not Cool the week.
What was that?
Blood Barn on
Screenbox.
Well, it's a screen box
original, but it's on
Prime now. This movie
is an hour and 17 minutes of
nothing.
It wishes it was a
People Dead movie.
It even has the
shot, you know, the
camera going through the
woods and stuff.
But it's just like these people
partying at this little country
farmhouse.
And then shit happens.
And then it gets all confusing.
And then next thing you know,
like random things are happening.
People are getting possessed for no reason.
and there was some decent practical effects in there.
It's super low budget.
But I was for a movie that's under an hour and 20 minutes,
I was fucking waiting for this thing to finish.
So I can't recommend Bloodbarn.
I'm looking at the cast.
I don't know any of these people.
Let's see.
On Tobey, I checked out this found footage movie called
what happened to Dorothy Bell
it's about this girl
she's making a documentary
because like some
creepy shit happened with her grandma
her grandma was starting to like talk to
somebody
and do weird shit
and she's trying to figure out what happened to her
and so she's making a documentary
and it kind of gets into
the usual found footage
tropes
creepy shit going on in the background
there's a book
that you're not supposed to read from
that she ends up reading from
typical found footage shit
but it's pretty decent
I have to check that
hey is that um
Sherman Fields
from Candyman
I think so
like the one
I think did they kill him
he was an older black gentleman that was
dressed like the candy man and he was handing out candy
and then they thought it was him
oh
I don't remember is it yeah it's him
I had to look it up because I was trying to see who else
trying to see what else I watched
oh I finally finally checked out faces of death
oh what did you think I liked it
wow that was awesome I liked the way they
they incorporated the original movie into it.
And I thought, what's his name?
Did a good job.
Billy.
Yeah, he was an all-star.
He was hell of good.
I mean, I had some issues with it, but it was good.
I was not expecting it to be as good as it was.
I think my one issue was the main girl from Foria.
Uh-huh.
She's kind of irritating.
I liked her.
I mean, I said it during our initial review that I was glad.
glad that most of the final girls are all these little beautiful in shape model chicks.
She was just a normal not saying that she's not beautiful.
She was a beautiful young woman.
Have you seen her now?
Yeah, she don't look like a shot.
She did that.
She lost too much weight.
But I liked it.
I thought it was a really, really good movie.
Yeah.
I thought the kills were good.
I almost bought it on Amazon.
just the
digital one
you gotta
you gotta wait for the
I know
I said I'll wait
Oh speaking of
Blu-rays
I picked up a couple things
I finally got the
The 4K HD
Ultra HD
Of the original
Trick-a-Treat
from the 80s
1986
I haven't watched it yet
This is the
This is the first
or the final
or the finally they uh an official release because the other one from severin yeah the other one i have
is um a little bootleg one i wanted that one from severin the steel book they put out they put out
but it was like super limited and now it's going for ridiculous amounts on ebay oh man you made me look
that up i didn't know there was a steel book yeah it was like because severan they'll double
put out steel books and they'll be like limited to a specific number or something.
Man, let me see.
What is this going for?
Not that one.
This is the trick art tree.
$149.
Man.
I don't like the cover, though.
Man, you guys are killing me.
Ooh.
Or is this an old?
alternate cover well I didn't even know they made this so
keep my eye out I thought I got the little box set one this is just a just the
regular 4k one but I'm going to creepycon flagstaff creepy con in October
and the ragman's gonna be there
Skippy
Mark Price
He's gonna be there
I met him before
I met him at
Mad Monster Party in Phoenix
And
He signed my
My bootleg
Trick or treat
Blu-ray
When I pulled it out
And showed him
He was like
I never seen this
Where'd you get this
I don't know
Somebody online
He went oh okay
I didn't know
They made him
Blu-ray
He was the one
He was the one of
He goes
Ah well
They're getting ready
To put out a 4K one
I was like
Oh they are
He went, yeah, so just keep a lookout.
And he goes, well, that's what I was told.
He goes, I don't know.
So the other thing I got was, um, uh, my buddy, Sean C Phillips, uh, director, his movie
Skate to Hell.
I haven't watched it yet.
I know it's on prime.
Um, it was like we need to do a review then.
Yeah, I got to, I had to support him.
So I bought, uh, the, uh, DVD.
I texted him.
I asked him, is this going to be in Blu-Rue?
He said, as of now, no.
Just this one.
So, well, all right, man.
I'll support.
When I was at Days of the Dead.
So Walmart, we go.
Yeah.
When I went to Days of the Dead, him and his crew were there,
and they had the actual skateboard from the movie.
This is the one that we, I haven't watched it,
but this is the board we needed.
I was like, man, dude, you should have told me, man.
I would have came to Vegas and because they,
I guess they filmed some of it at one of the skate parts.
in Vegas and they just had
background guys skating.
I said, shit, I could have been one of those dudes
and see some fat dude back there rolling around
on a skateboard. I could have done that.
But,
I don't know.
But I'm going to see him in San Diego
at Comic Con in July.
And then
hang out with him again. Because we hung out in Vegas,
man. It was a good time. I didn't see him in a long time.
Oh, his brother
also, he and his brother,
his brother, Ethan.
they wrote this film.
He said his brother writes a lot of movies.
I'm like, oh, cool.
Ethan's a good guy, too.
I haven't seen him in a while.
Last time I saw him was a few years ago at Comic-Con.
Yeah, if you haven't seen his brother,
you can definitely tell that they're related.
Oh, yeah, they just, it's like a little version of Sean.
So, cool guys, the Phillips brothers, man.
They're awesome.
As well as their mom.
Shout out to their mom, man.
She's an awesome lady.
I met her at Comic-Con one year.
but I ain't paying
150 bucks
for this
steel book
man why did they do that
why did they just
put it out
these limited
edition well
all right they'll get you
they'll all this limited edition
they'll put it out
make you go crazy
and then they'll drop it again
and then it'll be everywhere
yeah just like the
for that obsession movie
uh
you know the little
thing in the movie that they used to make the wish
yeah in the trailer i guess
they were selling like replicas of it
it sold out
and then they were going for like a hundred bucks a piece
on ebay and so the people that put them out
restocked and put them out again
huh
which they're already sold out it already
that's what they do
that's how they make their money
but
Oh, man.
We're all over the place, everyone.
Well, that's how we do it.
Yeah.
Real quick, wrestling talk.
Backlash?
No, we'll say backlash for that show.
Aska, is she done?
Because there's two different reports.
It made a backlash.
It made it seem like I didn't even know this was happening.
Apparently, the new report.
is that she's not retired,
but she's gone to deal
with some things in Japan, and it's going to be
gone for a while.
All right.
But that's not official.
Take care of what you need.
I thought Kyrie was going to come back.
That was a rumor.
And nope,
nothing happened.
But, I mean, it was
one of the best matches
on the card.
I thought it was awesome.
And then I wasn't expecting all that
at the end.
I was like, what's happening?
So if she's gone,
Kyrie's gone,
it's just Julia and Eo, right?
Yeah.
I don't even, I don't know what they're doing with Julia.
Yeah, I'm like, come on.
You could have threw her in the mix with all,
with all four of them.
But we said it before,
we're not running that place.
I don't know.
I ought to throw them all together.
Yeah.
Damage Control 2.0.
Mm-hmm.
They're going at.
kick ass all four of them but i don't know yeah we'll do a backlash we got we got that coming
everyone yeah backlash we got to get that out because this weekend is on saturday night's main
event and on the 31st of this month is clash at italy which i don't understand why they're
putting out all these events so close to each other in one month i don't know they need money i
guess.
Well,
all these
rumors,
they're asking
their wrestlers
to redo their
contracts.
Oh,
that was the other
thing,
the new day.
Word is,
they asked for
their release.
Well,
they were,
they were,
I heard that they,
um,
well,
oh,
since we don't
use you that much,
let's,
uh,
they want,
they were going to
give them a pay cut.
Yeah,
let's cut your
contract that you just
signed a few
months ago.
Yeah.
let's cut it in half oh hell no but i don't know what they want so we'll see but i heard these
the layoffs are not done yet there's some interesting names on the list
bailey well they're wasting i guess they asked her to take a pay cut and she said no
is the rumor
in L.A. night.
They're wasting him.
I kept seeing, I kept saying that.
So Saturday night's main event,
Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fartu.
Did you watch Smackdown tonight?
I caught some highlights.
At the end, when
Gunther whipped up
Royce Keys.
Yeah.
He was,
Gunther was in the ring
and then Cody jumped in and
crossroads him and threw him out of the ring.
Why do they have Royce Keys lose already?
I just...
You've been spending weeks building him up
to lose.
Yeah, I was like, really?
That's what we're doing here?
I was like, ah, this is one of my buddies.
Shout out to Eli.
He loves Gunther.
He goes, he's the new phase of the WW.
I'm like, shut up.
He goes out of his nuts the whole time.
Surprise they didn't have Gunther, retire Oscar.
Oh, and this is the one.
Oh, Ria Ripley, Eo, and against your girl, Liv, and Roxanne Perez.
I'm calling it now.
Roxanne's turning on Liv.
Yeah, it's going that way.
I think it's time to break that group up.
It's, it's coming.
Keep living, Dom together.
Yeah, that's going good.
Raquel and Roxanne, they need to do their own thing.
And we got the Randy Orton, Trick Williams, Damian Priest, and Sammy Zane.
What is this?
No, wait, what is this?
This is different.
This is the last one.
Randy's heard.
Yeah, this is, that's what it says here.
Let me see if I can pull it up.
Because I said, this supposed to be wrong.
Because then it says AJ Styles and Schittske Nakamura.
I think this was the last one.
Hmm.
Let's see.
What's tomorrow?
17.
Sorry, everybody.
We need to figure this out.
The World Tag Team titles, The Vision, Logan Paul, and dumbass, awesome theory.
He got street profits.
Then the Intercontinental, Penta.
versus Ethan Page
Then the six woman tag
Rea Ripley Charlotte
Alexa Jade
B-Fab and Meachin
Yeah
Yeah
Because
Uh
Jade was out there talking shit in the ring
Saying I'm the bad
She could take the mic away from her
You know I was telling my daughter that
That she's improved
In the ring
but when she gets on the mic
like it loses me
she was terrible on the mic
she needs a manager
I was like hand the mic to one of your girls
and then Ria can not Ria
then Charlotte came out talking shit
and Alexa Bliss as well both of them had mics
and they were going in on her
and then they got in the ring
and then they said yeah tomorrow night
Saturday night's main event
I was like what?
I didn't know there was what
so but
mommy
it looks like she's
beefed up a little
she's not as skinny as she was
at backlash
so good I mean
we're all battling something
but
I'm I'm there for it
what's the main event
I assume
I would say the ladies
would be the main event
I don't know because I don't think the
division
is or Penta
is the main event
Penta's dropping that belt to Ethan
Paige
It's all ego Ethan page
Get it right
So
So
Zaneran's main event
Is just strictly peacock
Yeah
They're all over the place now
I'm just like
Oh my God
You guys are killing me
Just bring the network back again
That was nothing wrong
wrong with it.
And it was only $9.99.
Yeah. And it had everything.
Now you got ESPN, Netflix,
Peacock,
Tooby and at least Toobie's free.
And wherever else,
everything, I'm just like, oh, my God,
it's WWE. You guys are everywhere.
Man, it's, uh,
but yeah, we'll be back with more wrestling.
Everybody.
But,
let's take a trip to the trailer park
looks like we only got one
oh let's do horror headlines
first oh go for it
let's see if we even got anything
oh
the Blair Witch Project
creators are back with a newfound footage
horror called the Influencer Project
which follows real life
stalker story in the age of
social media
what
This will star real-life influencer Chiar King and will be based off her experiences with her.
I guess she had a stalker experience.
Damn.
And the creators of the Blair Witch Project and her bringing this story to the screen.
Says details of the film's plot haven't been released,
but were told the project was shot in Copenhagen.
Hagen and is based on true events surrounding King's real-life stalker.
King, for those you, I don't even know who this person is.
King is a beauty and fashion influencer with over one million followers on Instagram and 4.2 million on TikTok.
The influencer project will be her first film project.
We understand producers are aiming a Leverge King's social popularity to launch a theatrical release.
The producers have noted Mark Pillar, Pailor.
Paylor's rollout of Iron Lung is a blueprint that had locked with an agreement with Varus and released the film.
Did you see Iron Long?
Yeah, I thought it was cool.
I didn't know what it was.
My son was like, oh, we got to go see this movie.
He played the game.
Yeah.
He goes, we got to go see it.
So it'll take Knock Maloney's documentary out of the, the,
number one spotter. I don't know, some shit.
I watched that. I talked about it on
East Society.
That was a waste of time. I'd have been mad if I saw that in the theater.
I thought it was going to be about
her life.
It was like, hey,
come follow me for
however long, 24 hours
or whatever. A day, a day in the life of.
Yeah, that's all it was. I was like,
I didn't learn nothing about her other than she does fashion and she's the first lady and
that was it probably already knew.
Yeah.
They didn't show where this is how it was and I grew up.
These are my parents and their parents were in it.
But I didn't learn nothing about her what you can't just turn on the TV and see her do whatever she does.
I was like, man, this was weak.
And all you fools selling,
maybe not in you listeners,
but there are those fools that are selling her popcorn bucket.
Because movie theaters are just going crazy with these popcorn tins.
Selling that thing for crazy prices?
I hope you guys just sit on that thing.
But yeah,
I didn't learn nothing about our first lady.
That documentary was,
I think it was almost two hours.
Just wasted my time.
I think so.
It just wasted my time watching that thing.
I didn't learn anything.
I was like, I had to watch it.
I mean, we're paying for Prime.
Might as well.
Let me just talk about it on the show.
And yeah, like I said, I didn't learn nothing about it.
I mean, just give me a documentary about your life, not what you're doing.
terrible
but this
influencer project
all right
I'll check it out
speaking of the Blair
Witch last week we talked about
I'm sure have you been
keeping up with the Blair Witch Project News
the new one
there's another one
yeah it's
directed by
Dylan Clark and
a lot of the people
that made the original one
like the directors
and some of the actors are on board
as part of the creative team for the new one.
I didn't even know.
They're making another one.
Yeah, it's for Blumhouse.
Well, last week they,
I can't remember which actor, Michael.
C. Williams?
Yeah.
He came out and said the new one is not a remake.
It is his own story.
And this week,
the details have come out saying it's a fresh story set in the same mythology
and centers around a family on a camping ship that spirals into terror
so it's in the same mythology but it's not a remake they're not rehashing the same one over again
uh well just be better than that last one because that last one pissed me off oh with the alien
I was like,
wait,
what's happening here?
I mean,
I know everyone hated Book of Shadows,
but I like that one a little more than...
I like that one a little more every time I watch it.
Yeah.
It was,
I liked it when I saw it in the theater.
But that last Blair Witch movie,
I was like,
I was excited.
I was like, cool, right on.
But I was like,
what was this?
made me mad.
I'm all with the theory
it was aliens.
I don't care what anyone says.
Let's see here.
You've seen the
Magic star in Anthony Hopkins, right?
Yeah, back in the day.
Yeah, Sam Ramey is
rebooting it.
It's fine.
Leave it alone.
Of course, I'll watch it.
Why?
Why?
Sam Ramey,
is directing a remake of the
1978 Cold Horror Classic Magic
for Lionsgate. Originally attached
only as a producer, he stepped
up to direct his modern
adaptation of William Goldman's novel.
The script is being written by Mark
Swift and Damien Shannon.
Isn't he
directing one of the new Marvel movies?
I don't think so.
I was just reading
something. I heard he was coming back to direct
another
Marvel movie?
I mean, he might.
I don't remember which one it was.
The original film,
1978 original directed by Richard Attenborough
starred Anthony Hopkins Academy Award winner
Anthony Hopkins and Charles Corky
Withers, a mentally
unstable ventriloquist
whose foul-mouth dummy
fats seemingly
makes a murderous life of its own.
I like that movie.
I thought it was going to be some creepy horror movie.
It was more of a slow drama type of thing with a little spookiness.
And it was nothing like, ah, it made you jump and scream.
It was a really slow burn.
It was more psychological.
Yeah.
I get it.
I mean, we had seen a young Anthony Hopkins with hair.
Have you ever seen the original trailer?
for that movie. Yes.
That scared me. I can remember
when I was a little kid.
When you just see Fats
talking, looking at the camera.
And I just
can't remember exactly what you go on YouTube
and watch it. But I remember seeing that for the
first time watching TV one night
and that came on and it scared
me. And then
when the movie was coming out, I was at the drive-in
and I remember seeing the poster and it's just a
picture of Fats.
And then I was just scared of it.
I didn't
see it until it came out on
no when he came on TV
it was all cut up and then
I saw the full version
when VHS came out
and I sat there and watched it
I was still pretty young though at that time
and I kind of like okay I don't really get this movie
but it was all right
but I recently watched it again
I enjoy it more now that I'm an old man
but at the time
but yeah if that little
teaser TV spots
scared the hell out of me.
I don't like
dummies.
Like, uh, sloppy
from, uh, goosebumps.
Goose bumps.
That thing's scary.
My grandsons have one.
But, uh, they're scared of them, too.
They just keep them in his box.
And, uh,
he's facing the wall.
Why'd you want it then?
So I'll eventually take that from him and bring it in here.
I don't think.
think i'll have him facing the wall i don't at least have him somewhere in there makes a room for him but
yeah i like this movie do they need to remake it they remake everything so why not
let's see uh casting news for ryan cougler's x files reboot
joining the cast is oscar winning actress amy madigan steve bushemie bouchemy
Ben Foster all have joined Ryan Coogler's X-Files reboot.
Also, Laura Dannen from Reservation Dogs.
Oh, she's on the cast?
She's in it and some other Native actors.
She's the only one that I remember.
Think of us all going to be a specific episode or something?
Probably.
I mean, they did it in the regular show.
they were um
they were out on
uh my res uh in Arizona
I can't remember it was Arizona
New Mexico the Navajo Nation
they filmed some stuff because they found some aliens
in a buried
train car
and uh
Floyd Red Crow
Westerman he was in one of the episodes
rest in peace
um
I can't remember what the episodes were called
those were like the only
ex-file episodes that
watched just because it was dealing with the natives i didn't i never got into the series i always
wanted to yeah i watched the movies but i never really dole head into it i've only seen the
second movie and i hated that movie those two were weird they were at wonder con
hyping up that second movie and i don't know what was going on with them they were all fidgety
and uh what's her name scully is that her name
Billy anderson.
Yeah, she was being all weird.
I get it.
The lights were bright.
She kept covering her eyes trying to talk to people.
Not, or not covering.
She kind of like had the...
I think I read somewhere she has anxiety.
Well, that might have been it.
Because whatever new slasher movie she's filming,
I guess I read a story that there was a scene that she was filming.
That was like super bloody and she had a panic attack.
I don't know.
We'll see.
But is X-Files streaming
anywhere?
It should be on Hulu,
because that was a fox
on Fox, wasn't it?
Yeah, it's on Hulu.
Hmm.
Let me see.
Maybe we should do something for Patreon.
Yeah.
I don't know those
those episodes.
Because I'm talking about it.
there was two
episodes dealing with the natives
I don't remember
those of you that have been asking
our tales from the crib Patreon episodes
are coming back
I know we took a
year two or three
break
but they've been
releasing each season weekly
on shutters so we have no
excuse to not do them now
damn there was 11 seasons
of X-Files?
Yeah.
Yeah, because remember a few years ago
they came back for a couple more seasons.
Oh.
I knew they were coming,
but I guess I have to fall down that hole.
Yeah, this Ryan Coogler thing is a all new thing.
All right.
Is this what he's doing next?
I think they're filming it now.
Is he doing the next Black Panther?
Yeah.
All right.
good.
Because there was that story
Denzel slipped.
Because I guess
nobody knew he was going to be in the third one
and I guess he was giving an interview
saying Ryan Coogler wrote his role
specifically for him and they were like,
oh, so you're in the new Black Panther
and then Denzel was kind of like, oh, shit.
Oops.
All right.
I mean, I'll
have to brush up on my ex-laws.
I don't know if I'll watch all 11 seasons,
but.
I don't know. We'll see.
And finally, we're going to end with this.
And, as you're the perfect person to be here for this, Crystal Lake,
officially arriving this October on October 15th.
Are you going to see anything from it?
Or are they waiting for, like, Comic-Con or something?
I'm going to say Comic-Con.
Because they've only released pictures,
and they release a behind-the-scenes picture of young Jason sitting.
You only see the back of his head
In the makeup chair
I know some people are already bitching and complaining
And ain't even out yet we ain't even seen anything
They're like ah
Why
Doing a
Friday 13 show and no Jason
I'm like
This is a prequel
Hold your horses
He is going to be in the first season
Yeah I mean but they want
They've already
They already cast older Jason
I mean I'll watch it
I'm that big of a friend of the 13th fan.
Those of you that you should all know that.
But I'm like, do we really need this?
No.
I'm saying yes, because it's the closest thing we're going to get.
Oh, just give me more fan films.
Well, those are always going to be there.
I'm sure as we're recording this, one's being released right now somewhere.
I'm just like, I'm down for it.
I mean, who knows?
I'll probably love it to be my favorite TV show of the year,
but I'm just kind of like, uh,
we'll see.
I mean,
obviously we're going to see the,
the death of Jason drowning and his mom,
uh,
going crazy.
And we'll see all the stuff that they said in the original film.
The fire,
the water going bad and the this and the that,
everything that was going on to try to shut that camp down.
so we'll see exactly how do you think linda cardalini's going to do oh she'll be doing good i love her
she can do no wrong in my eyes so we'll see we'll see we'll see what they're doing i mean just
don't expect jason running around on a hockey mask i mean don't get me wrong i'd love to see that
but i mean this is more focusing on her we'll get sackhead jason at the end of the season
that's fine
well
just entertain me
and don't make me like
but we don't know much about her
just the little they said
in the first film
that I mean they didn't really talk about her
they just kind of talked about
the when the truck driver
was saying that the camp
is jinxed and start
talking about what happened
so
I don't know. We'll see. It'll all be new to us. I mean, there's other lore out there and everything, but I'm basing my knowledge off the movies, not the books, not the comics, and all that. This is movie, movie knowledge that I know. And I'm all for it, man. If you can give me another Jason movie, cool. That's what I want. I want part 11 with Jason on Earth 2, but fat chance we ever get that. Because I don't care what anyone says.
Jason Axe was fucking awesome.
Yeah, I loved it.
Uber Jason, he was amazing.
He was regenerated and new body had both his eyes.
And he just burned.
Burned.
Oh, I need to find that.
Somebody made a fan film of Uber Jason surviving that fall to Earth 2.
Put it on the list.
I got to look I got to find it
I mean I saw clips of it
and they were yeah watch the full movie here
or wherever I need to find it again
I meant to save it and send it to you but I forgot
but yeah we need to watch that
because if that's the closest
I'm getting to part 11 I mean
I'm good
so I don't know everyone doesn't count
just the
the 10 movies they throw in
Freddy versus Jason and they throw in
the, was it 2009? That one.
Because they're saying, if they make another movie be the 13th movie,
13 movies dealing with the series and the franchise,
but not 13 in the 10 films that we got.
That's, I'll count that 13 when we get to it.
Right now, we're only at 10.
So, but that's me.
As I look at my Uber Jason right now,
on my desk and all my other variations.
That's a big of a fan I got.
I got so many Jason's in front of me right now.
Funko pops,
3D generated ones,
tunny tears,
a bobblehead,
a big Jason piggy bank,
Uber Jason.
I got them all.
That's how much I love them.
We shall see in October.
Hopefully they hype it up at Comic-Con
because I'm gonna.
might have to fight people to get into that panel.
You know, Crystal Leg, October 15th on Peacock.
Do you remember when that guy got stabbed in the eye at Comic Con with a pencil?
Yeah.
Theo was in there when it happened.
What?
He was in there when it was, like, way behind him.
He was in there and they closed, the whole place was the crime scene.
So they locked it all off.
one good leave. I mean, they already had the guy, but
I don't know, man, people are crazy. Comic Con gets wild
but those of you that have never been there.
All the years that I've gone, been going since 2005.
I almost got into a fight in Hall H one time. I don't know if I told the story
here. I don't remember what panel it was. We were kind of close
and everybody, when the panels were over, when they're all
standing on stage waving and everybody and the mother jumps up and
everybody's taking pictures. I was
like the thousands of other people that were in there.
I was taking picture as well.
And then everyone's got their cameras up and they're going all over the place.
And you're trying to get your camera in a space where no one's in front of you.
Because I've got plenty of pictures of me snapping pictures.
And all I see is somebody's camera right in front of my lens.
So I was doing that.
And the dude behind me was doing the same thing trying to get a picture.
But his dumb ass touched me.
and said, stop moving.
I just put my camera around.
I turned around.
I said,
don't you ever put your fucking hands on me again?
And I just stared at him straight in his eyes.
And he looked at me and then looked down and then walked away.
I was like,
motherfucker,
everybody's in here trying to get a shot.
And you fucking have to touch somebody?
I wasn't playing that shit.
I said,
fuck that.
I was hella mad.
I had, like,
ruined the rest of my day.
I was stewing about it as I was sitting there.
I don't even remember what the panel was or what panel came after that.
But I was hot.
And fights were getting to break out during the whole twilight craze
because there was people just trying to get into that in the Hall H.
Shout to the little mom or grandma or whatever with her two little girls.
I was walking into Hall H.
And there was people that I saw these two little girls.
I don't know if it was a mom or the grandma.
and they wanted to get in there.
And I saw them right before I walked in the door.
And I went, Mom, here you guys are.
And the lady looked at me that was watch.
I said, they took my nieces to the bathroom.
And she was like, oh, come on.
So she lifted up the thing.
And I was like, come on, come on.
And those little girls were so high, they just walked in right with me.
And I said, have a good time.
Never saw them again.
But those two little girls, I know they wanted to be in there for that.
So I got him in.
And once we got in, the lady was like, thank you, thank you.
All right, have a good time.
And then walked out of my life.
But I wasn't one of those people that, oh, Twilight killed Comic-Con.
No, they didn't.
If anything, it made more money for them.
But that's another story.
Maybe we'll fall out on that hole.
But, yeah.
When's this heck, well, it's horror quotes,
deals with vampires and werewolves.
I've only seen
the first two
New Moon is my favorite
I was the one dealing with the
the native werewolves
with the wolf pack with Shark Boy
and the rest of the gang
that was the one I liked the most
because they had a like I said dealing with all
the natives and then
that last movie
that pissed me off
is he native? No I don't
tell what's his name?
Taylor Lauder.
Shark boy.
Yeah, I don't think he is.
Let me see.
I just remember how awful his hair looked.
Oh, that first year of Twilight when he came in,
his hair was all crazy.
I didn't even know what Twilight was.
Welcome to Twilight Returns.
My daughter was like, are you in the panel?
I was like, yeah, what is this?
She was going off.
Oh, my God.
And she was all,
give me a poster, take pictures.
I didn't even know what the fuck Twilight was.
The little bit they showed us,
I was like,
okay,
I'll check this out.
When it came out,
took my daughter to see it,
sold out,
packed in there.
I don't think he is.
It doesn't say he's
Dutch,
French,
and German ancestry.
So he's white.
Wait.
And it stated that he has
distant Native American ancestry,
especially Ottawa and
ooh,
I'm not even try these tribes, I'm a butcher him.
I don't know about that.
I mean,
if he comes out with,
everybody wants proof nowadays,
then okay, but I don't know.
I didn't think he was native,
but everyone's native
after you make a play a native character but i i don't know
did you see that movie that movie from creep show
oh um what the hell was his name
with his gorgeous hair yeah
that is uh
or stephen lang
chief wooden wooden head was that his name or stephen lang
and uh was a band of the hand
yeah
Holt McConee, is that his name?
He was Sam White Moon.
Yeah.
He gets a pass because that character was awesome.
Some people, one of my friends' dad, he was hella mad.
Ah, why he gets a white guy playing natives?
I was like, come on, take it easy.
But I like, I like Hulk.
He's a character.
Yeah, he's a, that's, hey, it was somewhat of native representation.
I was all right with it.
and Chief Woodenhead, he was awesome.
Oh, man,
Creep Show 2.
The Raft was my favorite story in that one.
But I liked it.
If someone made a Chief Woodenhead figure,
I don't know why they haven't, I'd buy it.
Sam White Moon.
Have we done that movie?
I don't know.
We might just have to do Chief Woodenhead.
I know Mike and I.
you guys did that we did a commentary for it we did that we did the raft think i was supposed to be on that
episode but i wasn't oh yeah we did uh we didn't do the whole movie we just did that that segment
of it ah i'm to dig that movie that leather coat no shirt on yeah
oh man all right love this hair
I wish my hair was that long.
Shail the Park.
What is this movie called?
Colony.
New Korean zombie
horror action adventure
from
okay, forgive me.
Yon
Sangho,
I believe he did train to Busan.
Is this
just a separate story
or is it
dealing with that outbreak.
I'm not sure.
Yes, he directed Train to Busan and the sequel Peninsula.
It looks creepy.
I mean, I like the Korean zombie movies.
They're a different take, and they're real bloody and scary.
And fast.
Maybe this is the prequel to Train's Luzon.
Yeah.
Because they never gave you an explanation.
Well, they kind of did.
And did you see Soul Station?
The animated one?
Yeah.
Yeah.
They kind of, it was whatever was going on in that factory.
I assumed is what caused it.
Synopsis for this one is Professor C.
Jiang attends a biotech conference on to witness
at Sparone to catastrophe when it rapidly mutes.
virus is unleashed as the outbreak spreads and the infected begin to transform authorities seal
out the entire facility maybe this is where the virus happened at this biotech conference
i'm all for it looks good i mean we don't see much in this trailer but uh on story wise we
just see zombies going crazy chasing everyone yeah they're all bending and
Being weird and standing up at attention for some reason.
Oh, man, crazy.
Well, speaking to train to Busan, well, Colony, when does this come out?
May?
May 21st in theaters.
Here or is that in Korea?
R&B just says May 21st.
Well, we'll see it.
And of course, we'll talk about it.
I hope it comes here this month.
Well, shit, that's what next week.
week.
Yeah, let me double check.
Usually they let you know
May 21st, South
Korea.
I ain't flying all the way out without I to see it.
We shall see.
Well, uh, check it out once it
uh,
hits our shores.
I hope it's in a theater.
Because, uh, I would love to see this on the
big screen.
August 28th.
August?
Yeah, limited theaters.
maybe I'll get it in my area.
Well, not, definitely not in this town I'm living in,
but maybe in the Reno Sparks area.
Hopefully.
Well, she'll see.
But I'm juiced.
I want to see this.
I like this.
Yeah.
It was like all the J-horror was hitting for a minute,
and then Korea took over.
Yeah.
So.
All right.
That is it.
All right.
I got something really quick.
It was something.
I don't know who put this list together, but it says C, top C, the letter C, and then it says top 10.
Scariest horror movies of the last 10 years.
All right, I'll start with number 10.
2023's Evil Dead Rise.
Good movie.
Yes, there was some creepy scenes, and the main girl scared me.
And I'm glad, well, from what I see in the trailer, it looks like they're connecting.
the new movie to this movie.
All right. I need to watch this one again.
I just saw it the one time
in the theater, but
she creeped me out.
And then when I met her, beautiful
young woman, but she still
kind of creep me out.
He's from that one series
Vikings.
Never saw that.
Neither have I.
All right. Number nine,
2022's Terror Fire 2.
I wouldn't go as far as saying,
scary but it was my favorite one out of the three yeah it's gory yeah scary no yeah uh number eight
222s talk to me i was kind of creeped out with some of this stuff and i'm one of those
ones fake or not i would not touch that hand i was creeped out because this seemed like what the
younger generation would do yeah like they had a limited edition
buy the movie and get the hand
Nope, I'm good
I mean, I'm a collector, but I don't think I need that in my house
Fake or not
24's website was selling it
No, no, I'm good
I'm not scared at this movie at all.
2017 is coming in number 7, get out.
This is a good movie, but I wasn't scared anytime.
But I like what my son said.
I can't remember how old he was when we saw this.
We walked out of a movie.
I said, what did you learn from this movie?
White people would be crazy.
Well, they definitely were in this movie.
Number six, 2016, train to Busan.
Fast-running zombies are scary.
Because like Zombie Land said, the fatties went first.
I definitely would go first.
But I'm taking a bunch of them with me before I go out.
Yeah, once you get bit in this movie, you don't have long before you change.
Uh-uh.
That's why I was like, man, like any lot of these newer ones, you got bit, one, boom, but you instantly turned.
Because what I just recently rewatch?
World War Z.
Yeah, you instant.
He has that scene where he's counting down because he's watching, he watched someone get bid, and he kind of, I think it was like 12 seconds.
Yeah.
Or even when that one soldier, that chick, she got bit.
And then he chopped her hand off.
Yeah.
And they started counting.
But I liked it.
When he got it past the 12, he turned her.
You're not going to turn.
You're not going to turn.
But she wasn't worried about that.
She just lost her hand.
And then they survived a plane crash.
Yeah.
I love that movie.
That was like, yeah, okay.
They're finally making the sequel.
Finally?
Yeah.
Brad Pitt in it?
He has to be.
He better be.
All right.
Number five, this one was scary to me.
This is a 2024's Long Lakes.
Yeah.
Nicholas Cage, the Academy Award winner, Nicholas Cage, he was creepy in that movie.
How do you feel about because they announced they're doing a movie with Nick Cage,
but it's not a sequel to,
Long Lakes, too. It's just in the universe.
So what is it? A prequel?
Could be. They didn't say. They just said
Nicholas Cage's back.
Is it going to be focused on him?
They didn't say.
I thought his
presence in this film was enough. It wasn't a lot.
It was dealing with the other detectives trying to solve
the case. But if it's going to be about
him, I don't
know, I mean, looking at him in small little shots was creepy.
But watching a whole movie of him, I don't know.
I mean, I'll see it.
The only thing they said was Neon's not doing it.
It's moved over to Paramount because I guess the scope and budget were bigger than what neon usually does.
I have faith in Neon.
They haven't let me down yet.
I mean, I don't ride and die with A24.
There's been some A24 movies I've seen that were my opinion, no good.
But we'll see.
But I'll watch it, but long legs, I remember texting you because I didn't see it in the theater.
I remember it was, I bought it and I text you, is this worth buying?
And you said, yeah.
So I'm like, all right, I trust you.
Because, like, I agree with you.
Like him and little doses throughout that movie was creepy.
Yeah.
And what's her name?
Micah Monroe.
I thought she killed it in that role.
And the background shit you'd see when you kept seeing the devil or spirit or whatever that was.
That was creepy.
And what's her name as Michael Monroe's mom?
Yeah.
Urban legend.
Oof.
Yeah, that movie was creepy.
I remember, like, when it was over, I went and made you and locked all the doors and windows.
That's like after I watched that documentary on the Nightstalker.
I was on Netflix.
Oh, yeah.
I made sure everything was locked tight and grabbed my piece.
Because I was hell of scared after all that.
But real life stuff was more scary than what we see in the movies.
But Long Lades was creepy.
This one, number four, 2016's, The Autopsy of Jane Doe.
Good movie.
I need to watch it again.
I was tired watching it.
And I was like, okay.
We didn't do that one for 31?
No, uh, well, I put it on the list.
Yeah.
I watched that one and what was that other one with the old lady?
The taking of...
Deborah Logan.
And that was creepy, but I...
Well, I'll have to do both of those because I...
The only part I really remember was when they were in that, like, cave or whatever.
And he came around the corner...
mouth over the guy
as the chick's head.
I was like,
what the fuck?
I had to rewind it a little.
I was like,
what's happening here?
That part was creepy.
But anyway,
that's not on this list.
Number three,
that this one kind of creeped me out,
but it was a thinker.
2018's hereditary.
I had to this.
The one the Oscar.
Yeah.
I had to,
they snubbed,
what's her name?
Tony Collette.
She should do.
Tony Collette.
You think that movie would have been,
made today she would have been nominated because she wasn't even nominated no i mean the way they're
looking at horror now i mean i i i would definitely would have thought she would have been because i
remember i'm watching the movie i love tony collette and everything she's done but after this was over
i was like man she did such a good job in that movie and that one part did make me jump
when uh her her son was walking through the house and it was all dark and she just came
fucking just running top speed out of the darkness.
I didn't even see her there.
Watching it now,
I know she's there,
but I wasn't paying.
I was just watching him,
and I was sitting in the theater with my buddy,
but when she came running at her full speed,
I went, holy shit, I like jumped in my seat.
I about when she was crawling on the ceiling.
Oh, when she was banging her head?
Yeah, that shit was eerie.
That was a good movie, though.
I mean,
I've watched all kinds of videos and them explaining,
exactly what was happening but
I didn't like his last movie
I liked hereditary
and Midsamar but that
the one
with the Joaquin Phoenix
what was that one
damn are you going to make me look it out
yeah I'll say what
Beau is afraid
Bo is afraid
yeah
I
watch it
okay
It's weird.
He made this movie?
Yeah.
I didn't even know that.
All right.
I'll check this out.
Seriously, I did not know.
Is it just a movie movie or is it a horror movie?
I think they got it listed under horror, but it's not really horror.
It says dark comedy, psychological drama, psychological horror, psychological thriller.
Quest, what is that?
Raunchy comedy, tragedy, comedy, drama.
drama horror.
Yeah, a little bit of everything is in there.
Okay.
Well, I did not like it.
It's on all the free channels, Plex, Pluto, and Tubi.
It's where it should be.
For free.
It'll make me watch it with ads.
Damn you.
Ariaster hasn't done me dirty.
Let's see what he does with this one.
Oh, he was a producer.
I was like, he did Eddington or whatever.
He's just a producer.
No, he directed that one.
Oh, he did?
I think so.
Because he was one of the producers of Bologna.
Did you see that?
I love that one.
That was awesome.
That was hella good.
I told my wife to watch this year and it was okay.
I'm like, you're boring.
I said, that was hell of good.
Hereditary was my favorite movie.
He did that.
That shit grew up.
Yeah, that's the best one.
that was number three
2015 this is number two
2015 this one scared me
it follows
that was creepy
and I loved
every second of this film
it was one of those movies
that
when it first came out
it was like a limited run
before it was everywhere
because I remember seeing
people talking about it
and I watched the trailer
and then
I was searching
was not playing
in this town I'm at
or in Reno
know or sparks i was like shit it was playing in one theater in the bay area at that time at the
limited release so one one one weekend i said i'm going to the bay area for what i said i got to go
watch this movie you're going all the bay area for a movie i went yes well i've gone on a movie
in the bay area a few times the ray two i saw that in the theater and it was only playing
down there in this small little art house theater but this one i had to see it and it was another
little art house theater i had to see it it was just me
and like two other dudes in there watching it.
And it was like in the biggest theater too.
I was like, man, but I don't care.
It follows was awesome.
I loved what was happening in it.
Are you looking forward to the sequel?
Huh?
Are you going to ruin it now?
I'll pick up.
I'll see it.
But I mean, if it's just the same little thing that's following it around,
I thought this should have been a one and done.
I mean, don't explain.
to me now where it's coming from and what started it but i don't know we shall see all right number
one it's going came out in 2023 i it was streaming i can't remember where i watched it but um
when evil lurks oh my gosh that scene with the little girl and the dog oh i mean i wasn't
like scared but it was it was pretty gruesome well that scene with the dog made me just
Oh, hell yeah.
I was like they fucking went there with this little girl.
And then you see the dog drag her off.
Yeah.
But then when she called on the phone,
that was like,
what the fuck is happening?
Oh, man.
And that whole ending,
I was like,
I had to rewatch it again.
I was like,
wait,
what?
Did I miss something?
What's going on at this school?
But that was a good movie.
I loved it.
I thought it was awesome.
It made my best of a horror list.
And I liked it,
man.
They really went for it.
It was bloody.
So, but as...
You've seen the director's other one terrified?
No.
Who keeps telling me to watch that?
Mike.
Yeah.
I haven't watched it yet.
I haven't watched that or Audity yet.
Those are two good ones.
Yeah, that's what everyone keeps telling me.
I haven't sat down the one.
You saw Hocom, right?
No, not yet.
Okay, watch Oddity first because he's the same director.
Okay, because Mike went and seen Hocom and he said it was good, but I haven't seen it.
Yeah, it's good.
What's his name?
a fucking asshole in it.
Who?
Adam Scott.
I only see him as his character,
Ben, and Parks and Rec.
Or,
what's his name's brother
and stepbrothers?
He's kind of an asshole like that,
but not in a funny way.
Does he got the ripped
stomach like he did in
stepbrothers?
That movie's hell, buddy.
But all right, from the top.
10. Evil dead rise. Number 9.
Terror fire 2. Number 8. Talk to me.
Number 7. Get out. 6. Train to
Busan. 5. Long
legs. 4. The autopsy
of Jane Doe. 3. Hereditary.
2. It follows. And 1.
Evil lurks.
Out of this list, I would that one
be my number 1.
Probably hereditary.
I was scared.
Hereditary would be first and long
legs would be 2. Because I was really scared
with that one.
talk to me as well and
it follows.
I train to Buzon, awesome movie.
I wasn't scared, but
oh man, I didn't expect to cry at the end of that
movie. That ended.
No, I think that was the first
thing we ever recorded together.
What, Train to Besson? Yeah, because
we did Territrain with that one.
Oh, we did? I'm sure I don't remember.
We've done so many shows, I can't remember
half the shit we did.
Other than Tom Cough, we're
trying to explain.
three hour time cop show
trying to explain time travel
but yeah this was just something
I found everyone and I wanted to talk about
it I couldn't talk about it
on East Society. Theo, he don't watch
these movies
but
all right we are
skipping listener feedback but this
week's podcast spotlight
shines its light on
broomsticks and bloodshed
a witchy horror movie podcast
hosted by Corey and
Rasa.
Sorry if I mispronounced the name.
Offering in-depth humorous
and sometimes conflicted reviews on films
featuring witchcraft, the occult, and the macab.
Hmm.
All right.
Never listen to that show.
I'll have to give him a shot.
And listener feedback will be back next week.
And of course, you know
where to get our t-shirts,
T-public from our boy, Steve.
and Natsulani.
And let's get into this week's featured attraction.
We are not doing the watcher retrospective.
That has been rescheduled because we couldn't get everybody on there.
And we have to have Steve because he picked those fucking movies.
We are here to do 2025, which I count this as a 26 release.
Yep.
Dolly.
A couple's hiking trip turns fatal when they stumble onto the sacred ground of Dolly,
a mass deranged figure who captures the girlfriend and forces her to live as her baby.
This is directed by Rod Blackhurst, and I think I've seen something else he's done.
Rod Blackhurst, what have he done?
Oh, shit, he wrote Night Swim.
Oh, isn't that Lance's favorite?
Top five movie of Lancers.
What was it?
Last year or the year before?
A year before.
That's not all he.
That was mad.
I went to the theater and saw that movie.
I was hell mad.
I was like, what the hell is this shit?
Night's swim.
Oh, man.
This star is.
Fabian, Teresa, Russ Tyler, Tiller.
You know how to say that name.
Oh, and who played Dolly?
Max the Impaler.
Yeah, your girl stole her whole gimmick.
Who, Sarah Logan?
Bahala.
That's who, that's who they say is she stole the gimmick from.
I didn't even know that was a woman.
I was like, who the hell is this?
And when I looked it up, I went,
Oh man.
For those you don't know who Max the Impaler is,
just type that name in and watch all the glory that is Max the Impaler.
She's a wrestler and she's all brutal, fucking Viking warrior princess or something.
And she's a big gal.
Because I'm glad I didn't really, like, I just watched the movie first before I started.
I thought it was a dude.
I was like before I
dig into this thing.
Even when she pulled the titty out?
I thought it was fake.
Oh.
So, but
I mean,
the way it started,
I was like,
what,
you got stiffling in this?
I'm like,
all right,
cool.
I'm with this.
Got Ethan Supply in it.
I didn't realize that was him
until he started talking.
Because I know he's lost away and stuff,
but just the way they had him in this movie.
Like,
you,
you see him and you kind of,
like he looks familiar but i don't know who he is yeah because he had long hair but once he started
talking i was like oh shit so but he's a good actor i liked him but
stiffler was the one i was kind of like whoa i mean was you like friends with somebody and
they wanted a big name in this so uh i kept seeing the thumbnail but i just figured it was just some
a little low budget
two-beat movie
so I didn't I didn't always just go right over it
and I never heard nothing about it
I didn't know who was in it
and uh until you're like
let's watch this one I'm all right cool
so I didn't read into it
I had no idea what it was
I just clicked on it and started watching it
but when Stifler popped on the screen
he's only Stifler in my eyes
I was like oh sweet
yeah but he's not Stifler in this movie
no he's
a regular guy
yeah
I watched that one show
um
I knew Tim Allen show
him and
cat Dennings or whatever
her name is
it's his daughter
and Stiffle was in it
and Jenna Elfman is in it
and
oh I know what you're talking about
it's like a sitcom
yeah that one guy from house party
uh I can't
the one that kept bump
the
the DJ table
in the first movie
he's with the hat
when Martin goes
he goes
stop bumping the table
I'm trying to mix
you call that mixing
I just helped you out
what the hell's that guy's name
maybe look that up
he's in a wheelchair
now
and I thought he was just in a wheelchair
in the character
but
he got into a
motorcycle accident
what is this gentleman's name
darrell mitchell he's uh in that show
but dolly this movie was awesome
i loved it i was like did they film this with film and
it looks like they did i had to do some research on it
um because it was all grainy and had the little
spots and it was all grind house
type of style.
So I was like, all right, cool,
I'm with this.
I like what they're doing.
At first I thought they just added.
There's filters you can add to make it look like an old film,
but it was really shot with film.
Yeah, even like the color grading made it film like,
made it feel like it was filmed back then.
Yeah, it had that Texas chainsaw mask,
the first one, vibe.
Oh, there was some straight shoutouts to that movie.
Yeah.
But
I guess it was
kind of in a little explanation,
but not really.
But I liked what was happening.
It was just a couple
that went on hiking.
At first I thought they were
like just trying to
fix their relationship
because something seemed like
they were getting ready
to break up.
I don't know.
But they kind of go into it
but then it goes sidetracked
once Dolly comes on the scene.
and once
Dolly came onto the scene
and everything and all hell started to break loose
I was like, whoa!
What's going on here?
Shout out to all the practical effects,
which I love.
And it got pretty bloody.
And it got like, yeah,
the boob part.
I was like, oh, what's happening here?
And I don't know what was in that bottle.
This movie was like,
Texas chainsaw massacre mixed with barbarian.
Yeah, I kind of had that feeling.
But, I mean, overall, I enjoyed it.
I thought it was a really good movie.
I never even heard of this Rod Blackhurst guy.
He wrote Night Swam.
Is he directed?
He always says he's got 36 things he's directed.
I was looking through his stuff.
Have you seen the short film that this came from?
No. What is that?
It's called Baby Girl.
Oh.
It's like under five minutes, and it's not really a whole lot happening.
Is Max the Impaler in it?
Dolly's in it. I don't know. She played.
I want to see a cast or anything.
Hmm, I haven't really seen any of this stuff on here.
Well, I guess I see.
seen uh...
night swim
that and uh john
way gasey devil in disguise
i've seen some of that
oh the series
yeah
how this it was based off a short
I bet the shorts better than the movie
shorts are usually better than the
stretched out
yeah that's why I put the damn movie on the schedule
because I've seen the short
and I was like this has potential
uh huh
then I was wrong
but this movie was
good. I liked what was happening.
The main girl. I don't...
Have I seen her anything else?
I didn't recognize her.
Let me see.
Oh, she was in Southbound?
And John dies at the end?
I did...
I'm about to rewatch those and I don't remember her
unless she was just in it for seconds.
Southbound.
Anyway, I mean, I thought she did a good job.
and I guess when we get it as spoilers, we'll talk about Stifler, but I had an issue with that.
But anyway, we'll get to that later.
But I liked what was happening in this.
I loved what was going on and the little backstory that later that we got into it.
It wasn't just some weirdo out in the woods.
This isn't really a spoiler, but I had an issue.
with this.
This house is way out in the middle of nowhere
in any town, USA
or any Woods USA.
And you got some,
there's no spoiler.
It's Dolly, we see here in the poster,
some creepy one with a,
like a dollhead.
What's ceramic
or whatever?
Dollhead face?
Those are scary in general,
even if it wasn't a horror movie.
I was like,
okay, you're way out of,
the middle of nowhere, at least in Texas
Chainsaw, there was an explanation on why they had
power. There was generators running.
I was like, who's paying
the electricity bill
in his house? Because
there was lights everywhere.
There's just nothing to do
with the story. It was just something to me.
Who knows? Maybe she just mails it
in. You got an app on her
phone. Yeah.
But I was, I was happy
with this film. I was glad they
they didn't they didn't uh skimp on the blood and the gore because there was a lot of it in it and there's
only a handful of people in this movie but it was creepy um don't watch the trailer because i'm
watching it right now and they're showing way too much see i'm glad i didn't look i didn't read
into this i didn't watch anything i knew nothing are you watching the the movie trailer or
the original trailer or the trailer for the shutter release
uh whatever they're showing on i'm on imdb and whatever they're showing right now oh man i think i think
the shutter the one saying is going to be on shutter show too much well this whatever this one is
they're showing way too much and it they're showing like the whole movie see the show on the
ending oh my god don't watch the trailer boys girls if you haven't seen this movie just
just find i too when i was done with this i texted mike uh i was
like dude check out dolly on shutter and what's it about just watch it and let me know he liked it he was
like dude this is real gritty i like i like how they filmed it he's a filmmaker for those you know
uh mike j merent um but i enjoyed the film i mean like i said i've seen the thumbnail but it's
just like i said just thought it was some there's a lot of just crap on shutter and i just figured
there was just some another run-of-the-mill slasher movie.
I wasn't expecting known stars in it,
much less what was going on.
And to find out that Dolly was Max the Impaler,
I was like, oh, hell yeah.
I'm watching her wrestle right now,
and she's a big gal, and she's throwing this Missa Kate,
throwing her all over the ring.
I mean, Max the Impaler can,
have a movie.
The way she's dressed up and how her hair is and everything.
I mean,
she can just make a bloody Viking movie or something.
But I was really satisfied and pleased with this movie.
Because like I said,
I was not expecting much,
much less what we got in this film.
Because I was like, whoa,
I'm going to watch this movie again.
I only watched the one time so we could talk about it.
But I want to watch.
I want to watch it again.
I really enjoyed it.
And I seen a post that the director made on Instagram,
I guess apparently a big studio tried to purchase the rights to franchise it,
but he turned him down.
Good.
Because if they get a hold of it, it's,
you're not going to get what we got.
I think basically said,
he said if there's going to be another one,
it's going to be made how he wants it to be made.
Yeah, don't sell out to the man.
Make it your film.
Any of you independent filmmakers out there.
I mean, if you want that check, I mean, go for it.
But if you want to keep whatever you're creating the way you want it.
Yeah, look at Terrifier.
It's best to do it on your own.
But, spoilers?
Yeah, I'll give my quick two cents.
since I already
talked about this film on Cool
the Week when it originally came out.
But yeah, I agree with you.
It's a good slasher movie.
It's fun.
I like the greeniness, the retro look,
because it really does feel like it was
filmed back in the 80s,
maybe 70s.
Yeah.
I like the, what is her name?
Fabian,
Therese.
She was a good final girl.
And then Maxine
Pailer was badass. I like the
that they had known stars
in it but they weren't the main
stars of the movie.
They were just like cameos.
And I like the callbacks
to Texas Chainsaw Masker. You can tell the director
was a big fan of that movie
and wanted to pay homage
and respects to that movie by including
some things in this movie.
So
what is your score?
I will give
this
huge
I'll give it
an 8.5
I mean, I enjoyed the film
but there was
some stuff.
I'm like,
okay.
But I mean,
again,
I'm not saying it
a bad movie.
Definitely watch this
film, though.
It was awesome.
Yeah, 8.
I will give it a 7.75.
Not quite an 8,
but almost an 8.
Spoilers.
Yeah.
I mean, I was, like I said, I enjoyed it.
I was entertained.
All right.
Spoilers.
Did you stick around for that extra scene at the end?
Remind me what it was.
Well, if you listen to the song that was playing during the credits,
they even said the very end of the song,
and Dolly will be back in part two.
I was like, wait, what?
I had to rewind it.
I was like, did he just say what I thought he said?
And at the end, the very end of the film,
I think it was the cops and someone else showed up.
And they were reporting, yeah, this is what happened.
We found this out there at this house.
And we found this person with a doll face out there still alive.
And I was like, wow, this is going to be more.
Real quick question.
When the mask gets broken.
Was that another mask underneath or was that her?
her face. I think it was her face.
I had
a thing though with the dolly
mask. Was it like cutting her neck?
Because there was a scene when her head was
back and it was all
jagged. Wasn't sure
if it was... Could have been.
I was like, well, I mean, that would fucking hurt.
And
there's nothing really much to spoil
other than the ending part, but
because
there was kind of an explanation
on what was going on.
And then the person that was locked in the basement, Toby.
Yeah, his character, I thought it was like, I was kind of had that feeling of like tourist trap to where Chuck Conner was able to throw his voice here and there.
I thought
Dolly was doing that
because we didn't we couldn't see or maybe it was in
Macy's head
because she was all scared and everything
but you kept hearing this voice
don't forget me I'm in the basement
or wherever you're saying it was that
who was Toby to Dolly
her brother
okay because when he got loose
and he was like yeah I'm your brother
and ah, this and that.
So it seemed like some crazy Yahoo family.
So I was like, I don't want an explanation,
but they probably give us one in the next movie.
But I was sitting, I was curious.
Like, why is Dolly this way?
What happened to her?
If they don't give us a part two and we never get an explanation,
I'll be, I'm fine with it.
I'll just be always wonder, but usually when they try to explain things, it loses me.
Usually when they explain things, it's in part two or part three.
That's why I'm kind of like about the Crystal Lake thing.
I'm like, do we really need all this?
I mean, but okay.
Well, a lot of people said that we didn't need the It series.
Oh, don't know.
We definitely needed that.
I can't we ever see this dude because that was awesome.
Welcome to Derek.
How did you feel about the
the callbacks to
Texas Chainsaw Masker?
Her jumping through the window, her laughing
in the truck getting away.
I mean, yeah. I mean, I liked that they did.
I mean, the director obviously
seen that movie front to back and was paying
homage to it.
So I liked it.
I mean, and it had that
that leather face
feel
big monstrous
character
and that's why I thought it was a dude
I didn't realize
when the movie was over
is when I looked to see
who Dolly was
I was like who is this person
I was expecting a big dude
and then it was Max the Impaler
I thought I went
so I was like
hell yeah
then I found some videos on YouTube
about them
her talking about this movie
but
I loved how they shot it, how gritty
and grindhouse looking
it did it made and
the practical effects.
I had an issue, but
I mean, it's a movie.
Stiffler?
Yeah.
I don't
not think he would have survived that.
He would have bled out, if anything.
But
Dolly took him out.
Dude, that was
brutal. How was he talking?
I don't know.
That's what I was like,
dude, that thing pretty much pulled your jaw off.
And I'm sure it affected your vocal cord somehow.
Because there's that scene at the end where he finally makes it
somehow to the house.
And then he yells out for Macy.
Yeah, I was like, no.
But that was brutal when,
when Dolly got him.
kind of knocked him down
and then got that shovel
she was carrying and
he was like, other than
fucking jump up
don't just lay there and wait for this person
to hurt you.
I mean, fight, throw dirt,
anything.
That's a movie.
She got the, it was just a regular shovel.
She didn't run around the axe or
a machete or any of that.
It was just a regular
the whole digging shovel.
She got that shovel, stuck it on his shin.
And just like you were digging a hole, stepped on the shovel.
It would crack the bone and everything.
He went, ah, I felt that right there.
I was like, oh, shit.
And then he was like, ah, then she got the shovel, stuck it in his mouth and did the same thing.
And basically, that would have killed him.
I mean, other than he was just choked on all the blood or bled out.
but oh sorry it's a movie
but the practical effects that they had
I don't know how long you had to sit in that chair
for them to put that hole but his jaw
was broken in half
hanging I'm surprised his tongue wasn't just hanging out
but that looked pretty cool
I liked it there was that one
wonky CGI moment
with Ethan Suppley
when she punched
through him
oh yeah
I mean the
what can you do
I liked it
yeah when she punched through him
and then
I like how she looked through the hall
Yeah
I don't think that's how anatomy works
But uh all right
I mean I'm looking at a picture right now
uh
Macy's standing there outside
I don't know what she's looking at
I assume Stifler laying there
and Dolly's right behind her
how tall is Max the Impaler?
I would, if not six feet,
unless this woman,
Macy's hella short.
But I liked what was going on.
And it was brutal.
I mean,
Dolly was a good character.
I mean,
because I was kind of first,
I was like,
is this just another slasher movie
and it's not going to make any sense?
but I mean it was it was far from that
I mean I liked what was going on
I mean there's a story as like we said
we'll probably get that in the second one
explanation of it
max is only 510
that's it
that's like an inch taller than me
I don't know
unless this other gal is short
510 240
build from the waste land
She's a big gal
I mean
I'm telling you guys watch her wrestling
She'd be beating up dudes
So
And she's just like the big old brick house
Yeah I'm watching another match
Her and Carson Drake
For NWA wrestling
Where's NWA at from
Not the Compton
guys the wrestling
it doesn't what's his
name running it
smash him Hopkins is that him
the
the national wrestling alliance
yeah corgan yeah
oh this is him
yeah it's his
well I guess he's not touring anymore
I'll have to watch some of these matches
yeah they were on
Roku
but I think they got a new deal
somewhere else
but I
I think you can catch their stuff on YouTube.
Is there a Max the Impaler shirt?
I don't see one in their merch.
You gotta go to wrestling teams.
Yeah, but overall, man,
if you guys haven't seen this movie, man,
definitely check it out.
You got AMC Plus or shuttered.
Yeah.
I was pleased, man.
I thought it was a really good movie.
I mean,
uh,
as far as,
uh,
cinematography,
I liked it. There was out in the woods
and all the
the creepy dolls. That was probably the scariest thing
to me. These type of dolls,
the ceramic doll with the
old school ceramic faces.
Those are creepy, especially if their eyes
opened. Those always scared me.
And just the whole
dolly character.
If they make an action figure,
definitely I'll buy it.
Although you'll find one somewhere at one of these conventions.
Come on, Tuny Tears. Make one. Make one a dolly.
But it was good. I liked what they did. And the whole baby thing was creepy.
She gave her that bottle.
And then walked out the boob and shoved it. That reminded me a barbarian right there.
Yeah, it got weird in some scenes. Like when she pissed herself.
Yeah.
And she picked her.
up and then later on the kitchen table
and had her legs up in the air
it was changing her.
Oh, man.
But yeah, when we finally found
what's his name?
Toby, even supple.
He wasn't in the basement.
He was like in the next room.
Chained up in the corner.
When,
because she went into that room and it was all dark
and he was like, I'm over here.
There's a flashlight on the ground
somewhere.
I was expecting some.
hideous monster or something
in there, but it was just
some hillbilly
chained. Yeah, I was kind of disappointed
because I thought
he was going to be tortured
or disfigured or something.
Yeah, it was
weird. It was weird.
Chained out.
And who was when Dolly was sitting
on the bed and there was somebody
laying in the bed? Was that her?
Like the mother.
Did they cut the mom's head off and
put it on, they put it on
something, I can't remember. Because remember
when that girl was walking around looking and there
was an old lady head
on something? Yeah, that
was the mother. Yeah, okay.
Because yeah, when we first see
Dahlie, she's sitting in a
room on a bed and you hear flies
and the camera pulls back into the dead
body lane there.
So I was like, man, that house must stink.
Dolly ain't worried about it.
And then they showed all the
the bodies
that this
came in Dolly's
wilderness
and she took care of them
so but
yeah I say watch this movie
I thought it was awesome
I think that's what each
doll represented
the people she killed
yeah that's what I thought
I like that I'm with that
people just been going missing in his woods
for years
and there was a lot of dolls
out there too
they were like oh this must be some kind of art thing hell no if i'd have saw those kind of dolls
out of the root turned around that's weird she wanted to keep one oh hell no this one looks like me
and this one looks like you i want to keep him and he had the right answer he was like put those
down and leave those here yep if you come across crazy creepy things out in the wilderness either
turn around don't touch it and get the hell out of there because shit's about to go down
but
it says on the poster
in theaters
so I assume this was
a limited run
somewhere
yeah
it got the limited run
before
it shot a release
I would like to see this
in the theater
if one of these
theaters
that plays everything
in it
I would definitely go see
this
some of these characters
I don't even remember
other people in it
this aunt
Sadie was that like in a flashback
I think that was when they dropped the daughter
off in the beginning
oh yeah okay all right
because I was like
I can only picture the
the four
the four of course there was
the
Toby's dead brother chained up
I'm sure he got a credit
yeah
and then the deputy at the end
then there was two other people
at the end
because I don't know who they were talking to.
Because somebody opened the door and then they were like, yeah, we found this and that out in the woods.
So, and then they said, yeah, we found a person with a dollhead on him.
And then that was it.
It ended.
I went, ah!
So if he gets the funding to do it, then we're going to get another one.
So.
Let's see what the budget for it.
the budget was
doesn't save
but it made almost
$800,000
in the theater
well good
man I'll
make the next one
I don't know how much movies cost
but I know I see these
indie movies some people are spending a million dollars
yeah
fucking watch McCall's getting the damn sequel
the inner violent
nature I don't see why not
this one.
But that was better than this.
And violent nature was awesome.
If you like nature walks.
That would be cool. What was his name? Jimmy or
Johnny? I think it was Johnny.
Johnny. Yeah.
I don't need an explanation.
I'm sure that's what we're getting.
I mean, just, they should just leave it alone.
Take that money and go make something else.
Don't ruin what you made.
So, but...
I know if it ends like that first one, I'm...
Give that movie a zero.
But this one, yeah, I mean, I'm all for it, man.
Give me another one.
And, of course, they're going to give us an explanation on who this person is
and who did this to Dolly to make her be Dolly.
So, I don't know.
And why her brother was chained up in the next room and her other
other dead.
So, I don't know, man.
Well, once
he got loose, man, he was
putting a hurt on to her.
Toby?
Yeah. He was doing it.
Macy was killing me with that little
fucking pocket knife,
that little small
kind of knife
you just clean your nails with.
She stabbed Dolly with it
and then stabbed Toby.
He's just like,
and then,
the camera pulled around, we see that little bitty.
Blade might have been
maybe an inch, if that.
inch and a half.
Yeah, I thought
this movie was awesome. Everyone
check out Dolly.
MC Plus or
shutter.
All right. On next
week's episode, we are back
in the theaters for the new
Curry Barker movie
Obsession.
And I paired that with
1987's Fatal Attraction.
Ooh.
Should have did swim fan.
We already did swim fan.
You did?
Yeah, with night swim.
Isn't that really have to tie into that?
We wasted it on night swim.
Ah.
Well, we're going to have, is that streaming anywhere?
Swim fan?
Yeah.
I don't know.
I think I might have had to.
I have this.
DVD. I might have
had to search for it.
I don't see it.
You can rent it on YouTube.
Somebody brought
this to work and hey let's watch this.
And I was like, oh, hell yeah.
It was awesome.
Yeah, it's only rental
or buy.
But
I'll have to dig out my
Blu-ray or my
DVD. I don't even think this is on
Blu-ray, is it? It's going to make me
fall down that hole.
Ah, it is.
Now I got to order it.
Amazon.
Yep.
All right, boys and girls.
That is it.
So what you got coming on E-society?
If you're listening to our Survivor stuff, we got that.
A new episode coming.
We didn't do last week's episode because I didn't see Mortal of Combat.
The Zis, you saw it.
So I'm going to go see that tomorrow.
and then that'll probably be our big movie.
And then plus the movies that I had mentioned on this,
We Burry the Dead.
Dolly, of course, I'm going to mention that.
And The Rip.
We're going to talk about that as well.
I don't think he's seen that,
but that movie was awesome.
You guys haven't seen it yet.
So, okay, Mortal Kombat and Obsession.
Two hours.
God damn.
What's up?
they need to drag these movies out for two hours.
I can understand World of Combat,
but obsession, really?
I don't know.
You're hearing a lot of good things about it,
especially the main actress.
Who's in this?
I don't know.
I don't recognize anybody,
but I know the movie was good enough for them to give him.
He's doing the Texas Translaw Masker movie,
the new one.
What?
Is it going to be a continuation from the
Netflix one?
No, he's doing his own thing.
God damn.
He said he's going to feature the family more.
Which family?
That was like a bunch of family in the
Well, from what I've read,
he seems to be a big fan of the original movie.
All right.
We will see about that one.
What's that called?
Just text a chainsaw mask?
or is there going to be
the next next next generation
right now that's just what it's called
all right
well shall see but
that is it boys and girls
for everything dealing with the network
go to
the horror returns
dot com
links everything
Brian and I will be back
with
stream vines
is that what our
one is other than wrestling
stream fiends
with the lords of dog town
and then uh wrestling will be backlash
and then
backlash and then
Saturday night's main event
and then
clash in Italy
yeah
and we have something planned
for
uh what's the other show
we do
private for reflections
yeah
yeah
something something in time for the summer yep we'll just leave it at that yep and i will be meeting
that actor uh next month in sacramento again for those you're going to be at sinister creature con
just go uh to that website and see who's going to be there so oh uh the tommy lee wallis is that
his name, the director of
Halloween 3?
Yeah. He's going to be there.
And
I'm going to have to clear off.
I got a brick
from Silver Shamrock.
They're tearing it down.
And I got a brick.
So I want to
break that to him.
And hey, can you sign this?
This is from Silver Sherbrock
novelties building.
I met at the guy who took the
For those of you that have been to
Whatever that little town is where the silver shamrock factory is
There was a little
Plate
Plaque
Like mounted on one of the corners saying
Oh this is a
Site of Halloween 3
This and that on it
I guess when the news came
That they were going to tear the building down
Somebody went and took it
I don't know who took it.
I don't know if it was a fan or just...
He's listening right now.
Yeah, so...
Nez is talking to you.
Yeah, man.
Hopefully someone just took it
and maybe they'll auction it off or something
and I won't buy it and I got that kind of money.
But, uh,
I got a piece of history.
And, uh, they're having a screening for it in October,
uh, from, I think a Lolita is the town.
Um,
I assume right there.
I don't know where.
I think it's outside somewhere,
but Lizizu and I are going to be there.
So we're going to go and watch Halloween 3 on the big screen outside
and look at Silver Shamrock before they tear it down.
But I got a piece of that history.
Record his review for 31 days.
I got to get him to watch some stuff.
He wasn't on the last couple of years.
I do just you, me, and Mike and...
What's her name that does all the seven?
