Sorry, I picked this movie. I picked it because I just recently watched the animated movie, which I thought was pretty funny. one. So I figured to tackle this one and it was a movie. Yes, it was. Let's see.

Go ahead. You know what? I don't think I've ever seen this all the way through. I think I just saw bits and pieces and just didn't care for it. I watched it once when I was younger and I was

extremely confused on what was going on. I just didn't understand what this had to do with the video game. Exactly. But let's jump into Google first. Brooklyn plumbers,

Mario and Luigi get the shock of their lives when they discover a parallel world populated by the intelligent descendants of dinosaurs. Pretty much the same thing. Two Brooklyn plumbers, Mario and Luigi must travel to another dimension to rescue princess from the evil dictator. Oh, he's a dictator in this one. King Cooper and stop him from taking over the world. This stars the late great Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo, late great Dennis Hopper, Samantha Mathis, Fisher Stevens, Richard Edson, Fiona Shaw, Dana Kaminsky, Mojo Nixon,

who IMDB just gives him a picture of the Goomba, I guess he played. He doesn't get his own picture. And this is directed from what I understand husband and wife team, Annabelle Jankel and Rocky Morton. So, Nez, since sounds like this might been your actual

first time watching this, what did you think? Well, first of all, this had nothing to do with the Super Mario Brothers game. What are you talking about?

There's Mario, Luigi, their plumbers. I don't know what the hell was going on in this movie. It was all over the place. It seems like

they just made this wrote this story and just added Mario and Luigi like they wrote this story and it said oh this sounds like a cool movie but it sounds it's all weird and crazy nobody's going to go see it

you know what let's add Mario and Luigi and just call Super Mario brothers and go with it so probably what happened because I was like first of all Bob Hoskins

awesome. I love them in mermaids as well as who framed Roger Rabbit. John Ligua Zamo he's good in just about everything. Even that movie The Pest that everybody hated. He's

Colombian. I couldn't buy him as Italian, but okay. Dennis Hopper, hey man, you give him the script, he's going to do it. And he did. And yeah, Was he Bowser or President Cooper, King Cooper?

I don't know what the hell is happening in this. They did try to throw in the little bits of the game in with the mushrooms and the little bomb and the gumbas and the characters. I was about it. The rest of it, I don't even. know what those gumbos were big giant guys with little bitty head little dinosaur lizard heads or something and yeah i think the best looking thing in this was probably yoshi it's like all their money went into that practical effect and they barely used it pretty much i mean there was there was

there was some cg i and i mean it wasn't too bad i mean they they did what they can do for um was this early 90s. Yeah. A little lawnmour man action going on in there with some of the CGI. Yeah, but I was just like, what's happening

in this movie? I mean, there was never really an explanation on why game-wise in the earlier games, everyone. I'm talking about Donkey Kong in that first Super Mario's brothers game, the arcade game,

not the Nintendo one. Some people always say that that's the first one man if you're true gamer and you love Mario do you history there was two games well actually three games before the Nintendo one at Donkey Kong at Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong Jr. But did they have anything to do with this movie? No. Actually Mario well I can know he was he was the good guy

and the first kid Donkey Kong and Doggy Gong Jr. He was the bad guy but I don't know. He didn't come into play. Donkey Kong. I was hoping he would pop up in it at some point. I haven't seen the new movie from what I heard he is in that. But this ain't got nothing to do with that movie.

Boys and girls. He ain't got nothing to do with anything. But let me just read the beginning of this. Following the impact of a meteorite into the earth, it's 65 million years ago. The universe is split into two parallel dimensions.

Surviving dinosaurs escape into a new dimension evolving into humanoid race and founding the city of Dino-Hatton. In 1973, a large egg and a rock are left on a Catholic orphanage and the egg hatches into a human baby girl. Now, mind you, this is, this whole intro is animated and narrated by some heavy Brooklyn-accented dinosaurs. Yeah. And I was like, what?

I don't remember Mario or anything being like this. But I mean, that's why I say that I think they wrote this story and just added, added it as they went along. I think they, if I got to compare it to something more recent, I think they Cloverfield it. Because, you know, those sequels were like other movies. And they were just like, let's let's make it Cloverfield movies. I think that's what they did with this. I think they, I think it's what you said. They had this whole other movie, couldn't sell it.

And it was like, what if we had Mario and Luigi in there? And the studio was like, sold. Because I think at this time, well, the Nintendo was the hit in the 80s. But kids were still still playing Nintendo. I don't even know if any of the newer Nintendo system 64 or any of that was out yet or Super Nintendo. but I think Genesis and all that was around by now but I don't know what I liked I just first of all the actors that were in it

everybody I love Fisher Stevens it was funny I didn't realize he was in it and Richard Edson he's funny every time I see him in something of course Dennis Hopper he's amazing Mojo Nixon that was the surprise for me for those of you that know who he is. He's a singer and songwriter.

So he popped up in this. And that's why I say I think I just saw bits and pieces of this. I didn't actually sit through the whole, the whole movie. Because I, I just remember the beginning. I think that's probably all I saw. But yeah,

this, it's split. The meteorite came, killed all the dinosaurs. dinosaurs, but it didn't kill all of all the dinosaurs. It kind of split it into this underground dimension where all the dinosaurs are that turn into humanoid or something. Sure. And then, yeah, one of them's got the dino egg that dropped it off at the orphanage and it becomes the girl Daisy.

in this one I mean Daisy was the girl that Mario was always trying to save but in this movie they made Luigi the love interest for uh yeah because

all due respects to Bob Hoskin he is kind of up there in age so look kind of weird that he's going after this young girl okay but I liked his girl better is um oh yeah she was definitely

his little Italian girlfriend. I liked her. I mean, but yeah, again, all the actors were cool. I mean, the CGI was what it was for early 90s. All the practical effects I loved. I don't know what this fungus thing they brought into it was supposed to be. Yeah, I had done it. I didn't like all that. It reminded me of

like Fifth Element Demolition Man and Road Warrior, or Beyond Thunderdome, all rolled into one and then throw in Mario on Luigi. And I guess you can, the fungus could be the last of us. I don't. But it's not really, though. It's not really fungus though.

It looks more like it's elastic rubber bands. Thanks not in that slime you buy for the kids. They, oh gosh, they try to stick in some other stuff in the game. like what was her name big bertha who was that i see i don't it was a character in the game clearly looked nothing like it in the i couldn't i think it was like one of the not not end level bosses but like one of the like little things you run into during the game they made her a black woman in this one and

Mario was pushing up on that. There was a couple scenes there. And then she had special boots that were powered by, uh, what, what are they called the b'bams, or no, bullet bills or whatever.

I don't know. Okay, I had to look up big birthday because I was, I don't remember this character being in the game. It was a fish. Yeah. Exactly what she looked like in the movie. So let's make it into a big black woman.

That's why I was like, what's happening? And another thing that they didn't explain either. What was the whole thing about plumbers? Like being a plumber was illegal in Dino, hadn't? I don't know. I don't know what was going on. There was a lot of things of like, what? But then they just never really got into it.

I mean, yeah, I didn't get why plumbers were bad in Dino Hatton. Did you read some like trivia on this? No, I didn't read anything. They, the directors wanted this to be a little bit more adult. So I guess they allegedly shot during the club scene. There was like strippers. Okay. And they had to cut all that out because somebody in the studio is like,

this is a Mario movie, not an adult stripper club movie or something. Yeah, I don't think that would have went over too good with parents. So somewhere there is a cut where there's strippers dancing. I don't know if they're nude or got their nipples covered or something. I don't know. But it does exist. Okay. So all right, we're going to flash forward 22 years later in Brooklyn, New York. They hit that biggie. Mario, Mario, all right, this is new to me and Luigi Mario.

Two plumbers and they're just doing the thing and their rival plumber gang or whatever. the the skepelleys yeah it's just a mob organization that uh runs another plumbing uh business they basically are like the mob because when they meet of daisy they basically say if she doesn't stop what she's doing you can go missing like i know you heard about some of these other girls in brooklyn coming up missing you could end up like one of them and i'm like jesus supposed to be like a plumbing company or something they were kind of like pointless i mean they they kind of served a purpose in the beginning of the movie but then once the movie gets going we don't they they don't really have anything to do

with the story well i guess it was thanks to them that they got uh the the other dimension uh but well you got you got you have an evil plumbing company in a maria movie you get one in the animated movie. An evil plumbing crew against Mario? They're not evil, but you get a rival. I'll put it down there. All right. So, yeah, the Mario brothers are doing that thing.

The Spanette, the Scapellies are run by Anthony Schapelli, his construction company. And we meet Dave. and she's a NYU archaeologist student that's trying to dig her up, dig up some bones, or they found some bones at this site

and they were trying to figure out just how old these bones are. That's what she's trying to do. But we find out later there's something else that she's doing. But the spekele Scapelli.

The Scapellees they're just the crime family. And in Brooklyn, well, in this part of Brooklyn, I mean, Brooklyn's pretty big. And I'm sure there's crime family's all over that place. But it's their site that they want to buy and they want to build whatever they wanted to build. I don't remember what they said. So they were trying to drive her route.

Like, hey, you need to get out of here and you're going to be swimming with the fishes. You're going to end up in the Hudson. Pretty much what they said. Yes. So you're going to disappear like all these other girls that are disappearing for whatever reason. a plumbing company as they're walking around with the fancy suits and slick back hair. Yeah. The typical Italian mobsters that you see in movies,

hey, forget about it and all that type of stuff. Yeah, the whole, the digging site is kind of close to the Brooklyn Bridge. So Mario and Luigi, their truck breaks down. they kind of meet up with Daisy and she's on the phone trying to get security at the dig at the dig site because the Schapelle's and those guys are trying to run her off and she's scared for her life and the rest of her crew. So then she meets Mario and meets Luigi, Luigi instantly falls in love with her and hey man, what are you doing?

Why don't you hang out with us and go have dinner and okay, just met you in Brooklyn, but all right. So she goes, has dinner with them, meets Mario and Mario's girlfriend, whatever. her name was Daniela, I think. They meet her and they go have Italian restaurant somewhere. So then Mario's like, hey, why don't you guys

go go do something and I'm going to go home and crush Daniela. So Luigi and Daisy are walking. She goes, hey, do you want to see the site where he's digging where they're digging for the bones? And he's like, yeah, sure. So she takes him down there.

and he's trying to there's like no security for this because he for all she knows he could be a scapelli yeah she just takes some strangers she met like a couple hours ago down into this this site

that's that she wants security for well there was a security go with a cop he was standing right there but I'm sure he's paid off by the scapelli and he could just easily turn his head but so she takes him downstairs or down into this tunnels and everything.

She shows them these bones. It looks like they're brand new dinosaur bones. And she's trying to tell them like, yeah, this is something that it was evolving into something else because you can see this one out here has a thumb. I was like, oh, okay. But then while they're in there,

they hear some noise. And then all of a sudden all those water is getting out of the way. Then you see three guys in white suits with the big giant scapelli's plumbing or whatever on the back of their jumpsuits. in there, he he is as they go running off and Luigi's in there, ah, trying to stop all these pipes with water coming out. And then what are we going to do? I know what I can do.

Next thing you know, here comes Mario to save the rescue, to the rescue, brings his tools. And then he kind of gets on Luigi, how come you didn't stop this? And I didn't have my tools. And a good plumber always has his tools and just that whole spiel. So they stop the water. and then shit, how it happened Oh,

earlier, I'm sorry. King Cooper, he's introduced Dennis Hopper, he's like, okay, there's this girl we need to find. She's got this crystal that I need. So he sends a part of a meteorite. Yeah, he goes up and sends Iggy and Spike.

Yeah, A couple cousins. Yeah, up. In the games, these are all crazy-looking creatures. And these are two nerdy-looking guys. That one guy from my science project, Richard Stevens and the other dude from... Ferris Bueller.

Do the right thing. You know, it was Ferris Bueller. I was props up in my head when he took the car for a joy ride. Oh, that's right. When they're jumping in that Corvette or Ferrari. but he's been in hell of movies he was in a cartoon and all kinds he's one of the one of those guys so iggy so cooper sends a iggy and spike up to go uh kidnap daisy instead they end up kidnapping uh mario's girl and they bring her back into the other dimension dino hatton

and uh dinoh hat yeah dino hatton is basically just a new manhattan uh they had the is before 9-11, so the Twin Towers were there. And then Dino hadn't this Twin Towers, but one of them's kind of all messed up. And, yeah, okay. They, yeah, Iggy and Spike kidnapped Daniela by mistake. And because when Cuba's, they're saying, Daisy, what are you guys doing? And then, so they go back and get her. So they go back while Mario and Luigi are trying to stop the water.

Iggy and Spike grab her. and then they go hauling ass down all these tunnels and she's screaming Luigi so they go running after her they get to this wall and they're not really sure because they kind of there's like where'd she go where'd she go and then we see her face emerging in this little wall a little rock wall or whatever and she's like Luigi help and they're like what is that what is that so they're not really sure but Luigi's like, F it, and he just goes and jumps into it and ends up going into the other dimension. He goes into the other dimension. Then Mario goes after him, and then here they are.

They end up in Dino Hatton, and they're just trying to figure out what the hell is. It's like, it reminds me of a demolition man. When they went underground into the, into the seedy parts of the sewers, of L.A. Or no, it's not L.A. What was it? San Angeles or whatever they called it. It just looked like that.

And some of the cops looked like those cops in a road warrior. And all the cars are all road roared up with spikes and cuddy things. And I don't know what the hell was going on. So they see Spike and Iggy, uh, cacked, uh,

holding Daisy. running through and they're trying to go run after her and help her and they're not sure what's happening so I think that they take her to to the Cooper's layer or whatever so they're still trying to nothing like the castle from the gang

yeah if case is there are the brothers pursue them through to interdimensional portal in Dino Haddon where they lose track of Daisy and the rock that little meteorite thing that was around her neck, which is stolen by Big Bertha, the bouncer of the boom boom bar. Okay. Yeah, that's probably why they wanted to have strippers in there.

That sounds like a cool name, boom, boom bar. Sounds like, what's his name? Eddie Murphy from life, raised boom boom, boom. So they, they go in there and this is when they change clothes because they're like, We can't go in there dressed the way we were dressed on. I don't know where they get all these snazzy pimpsuits or whatever the hell they were wearing. Is this where they meet Toad? Yeah.

And in the movie, Toad is a street peddler or musician on the street or something. Yeah, some guy with the guitar. Yeah. Mojo Nixon, he's just standing there singing. He's all friendly and everything. And yeah, they go into the bar and they're trying to get the, oh, no, no, no, no, no. When they're outside, Big Bertha steals the little meteorite necklace. And she's got these giant metal bouncing rocket shoes or.

Yeah, powered by bullet bills. Yeah. Just like the game. So they go fly. And she goes flying away and everything. Then they find out where she is. That's why they go. going to the boom boom room.

And by the time all this is going on, King Cooper and everything is aware that the Mario brothers are there. So they, he puts out this all points bulletin. We're looking for these two plumbers. So be on the lookout for them. So, oh, no, they got, yeah, when they got there,

they got taken to the police station and then they escaped. And then they ended up. Yeah, that's when they met Cuba. Yeah, and he was trying to show them everything. Yeah, that's when they turned a toad into one of the Gumbas stuck them in this little chair thing in his head. Yeah, they de-evolutionized him. Yeah, and he turned into, I don't know, a lizard or something. I don't know what those things were.

Well, there were some that looked like they had lizard heads and this one had a little roundhead. And those are the things that reminded me of like the fifth element with some of those things that were in that. But in the game, gumbas are little mushroom guys. Not in this dimension. So, yeah, they go trying to get the rock off of Big Bertha. And then there's this little dance number and Mario's trying to get it. He's, she's backing it up on him and he's rubbing her and trying to get the thing from around her neck. but he does successfully after all this dancing.

And that one stupid dinosaur song was on. Everybody do the dinosaur. Oh, yeah. I don't know who's saying that song, but it was a hit quote, air quotes back then. But oh, my God, I never liked that song.

I thought it was stupid. Now it's going to bug me until I know who that's every. Everyone. was it a dance it was a song I know what they said everybody do that dinosaur song by was not was

you're supposed to walk like walk like a dinosaur the song is called walk the dinosaur oh oh everybody walk that dinosaur okay yeah a one hit wonder so came out of 1988 I hope they've made a lot of money off of that.

Well, I'm sure they got some kind of chimp, a little change when they put it in this blockbuster movie. So they end up getting the stone away from her, but Daisy's still locked up in the big Gumba or the Kupa towers or whatever. but when they're she's all locked up they kind of explain her it says here Daisy learns that she is a descendant from dinosaurs

and the long lost princess of the other of the other dimension her father is overthrown as king by King Cooper and her mother the queen was the one who took her to Brooklyn

okay so in the beginning of the film that was Daisy's mom that dropped her off when she was an egg dinosaur egg dropped her off at the Did she play her mother?

Because that actress looked like her. I wasn't paying attention. What the hell's happening there? What are these big eggs? Dropped off an egg to an orphanage. What's this going to do with Mario? Yeah, so she finds out all of that and everything. So she's still locked up Mario and Luigi is still trying to find her.

they had to battle the the gumbas well they didn't really battle them they were they got into the the towers and they were she was on the top floor so they had to go all these levels to try to try to get to her

um Mario along the way finds his girlfriend and all the girls that were I don't know I guess they were just kidnapping girls left and right and bringing them to Dino Haddon. Well, the Cooper cousins were,

and I think they got to end up getting the right one because he evolutionized them. He put the machine in reverse and he made them smarter. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, because there was a scene of them when Mario and Luigi escaped from the police station, they jumped in this, no, when they escaped from the, It was a police station when they jumped in the garbage truck and for some reason they were way out in the desert somewhere and Iggy and Spike were chasing them.

Yeah, that level on the game. The desert level. I don't remember. So, Iggy and Spike realized that they lost Daisy's rock. The meteorite fragment, Cooper needs to merge the worlds. They believe only Daisy can do so because of her royal heritage. Mario Luigi escaped prison and go on to rescue Daisy, aided by Toad.

Yeah, so when they got, when they escaped from the jail, Toad was the one that kind of helped him get out of there. He, they weren't, they, their little gumbas couldn't, they couldn't talk. He was just making noises or whatever. And they gave him a little harmonica thing. So you know that he was toad. that he never even played.

Even though he got arrested for singing songs, they gave him a harmonica that he can carry all the time. It was okay. Yeah, they was a Ronnie Olegs. Prison Rescue Daisy by totally good natured guitarist who was devolved into a Gumba. A semi-humanoid dinosaur has punishment for a protest.

Daisy's own escape attempt was aided by Yoshi. Yoshi was a little dinosaur in this one. But, well, Yoshi's a little dinosaur in the game as well, but he didn't have shoes or anything. It looked like a little dinosaur. A little raptor. Yeah. It was a pet to the royal family. Iggy and Spike, who are mentally evolved to become intelligent and decide to turn on Cooper.

Yeah, because once they figured out that those two. They were being used by Cupa. They said, you know what? Let's see. He's bad. Let's help them all your brothers and Daisy on their quest or their rescue to get her. Cooper's jealous girlfriend, Lena, tries unsuccessfully to kill Daisy, then obtains the rock and plans to overthrow him.

But it is fossilized when she emerges from the worlds. Okay. All right. Yeah. So when Iggy and Spike turned on him, Um, uh, Cooper's girlfriend, Lena, she kept seeing because Cooper's, I need her. I need her. Um, but I think she kind of got it twisted.

Like she thought he meant that he wanted to crush it. And she was all jealous. So she was like, hell, no, I'm going to kill this bitch. She ain't, she taking my spot. So that's when she, uh, she kind of turned on him. And she went and she was trying to, she actually explained some stuff to Daisy when she was locked up, basically telling her who she was and that that crystal can bring the, uh, um, basically it was going to bring the world back together. So all the people in

this other dimension, the Dino-Hatton, Kumba, or Gumba Kupa world was going to merge with the real world. And then I don't remember exactly what that, what they were going to do. take over our world. So she goes, that's why he needs this thing. So, but since he doesn't have it, I have it, I'm going to do it. So she kind of takes it

over there. I guess it was the portal where they came through the walls and then there was that what was it that was on the ground? It just looked like a giant rock or something. Yeah, I guess that was another portal. I don't know.

The little necklace crystal thing, it was maybe about inch and a half, and it was kind of like a spike. And it was crystallized. And I think it was purple or blue. I can't remember. So what she did is she took it to that little portal room. It was in a cave. And she stuck it in the little rock hole or whatever. it was and instead of it like merging the world they threw her against the wall and she

fossilized into bones well there was some other shit that was going on but when Mario and Luigi and then we're all trying to when they were trying to get the the crystal from her because she falls when they were fighting her she falls onto this electric thing and her hair gets all giant like bride of Frankenstein even had that little white strip in it but and then that's when she goes a little portal room and basically gets killed so um what was like cooper attempts to do just a all right so yeah once they um well i think when she did that i'm i'm probably jumping all over the place everyone when she when uh lena did that um cupa and then the mario's uh Mario Mario Mario him was the

I think, was it Luigi, too? Yeah, I can't remember. When they, um, when she, uh, stuck that crystal into whatever that thing was, it, um, started to, uh, like an end game or was it Infinity War when they all turned to dust. They kind of like just disappeared. Well, uh, Cooper and Mario. And then they went over to, um, they were in Brooklyn, as well as some Gumbas, too. So I think it was Mario, Cooper was.

Cooper is Gumbas. A couple of them, Mario and Luigi, they all kind of disappeared and they ended up at the site in Brooklyn. And there's cops and all kinds of people there. And the Skapelleys are there for some reason. They were there.

Cupa has his like gun or I don't know what it was. But the evolutionary gun. It was basically that chair into turned into a And the leaders

Anthony Schopelli was standing there and Cooper shoots him and he devolves him into a chimpanzee. And then one of the other guys picks him, well, hey boss and okay.

So while they're doing that, Daisy was a one. No, Luigi was with was with Daisy. Because then when she stuck that thing back in there. That's when it brought Cooper and the Gumbas and

Mario back into the other dimension. Because they were only in Brooklyn for like maybe about a minute and then they got sucked back into it. So she did that. So Cooper and Mario were kind of having at it,

going at it. And how did do how did they be Cooper? Yeah. Did they shoot them or something? No, I think they pushed him into that chair and they de-evolutionized him. I think, is that what they did? I don't know.

Let me see. It turns into a chimpanzee, but Mario holds them off long enough for the worlds to separate again. When Luigi and Daisy removed the fragment from the meat, okay, it was a meteorite that they stuck that in. Mario and Luigi obtained the evolution guns and used it. them to defeat Cooper by devolving him into a primal slime, prime of all slime or something. Yeah, so once they brought, when they pulled the thing out of the crystal out of the meteorite,

it brought Mario and Cooper and all them back. They took those guns and both at the same time shot Cooper with them. And then he was turning, he turned into a dinosaur creature, like multiple different dinosaur creatures. I guess he was devolving. And then he devolved all the way down to some slime and then just fell on the floor and killed him.

And then the whole place, the whole dino had, and yeah, everybody was cheering. They started tearing down the Copa, vote for Cooper billboards. Oh, we didn't talk about the fungus. Oh, that's right. Was her father. the evolution

I think Oh Cooper told her I think Yeah Because that's right Because when they They kept going into this room This big white room

And this fungus that was all over the place That they were saying It was kind of deadly or whatever But it wasn't really doing anything But sprouting out little mushrooms Because there was a time When Luigi took one of the mushrooms And then

use it for a weapon or so I don't know some kind of ray or so I was like what's happening here it's just like the cave usually we eat the mushrooms to get big I was waiting for somebody to get big that would have been fucking cool like if they would have got some kind of superpower or something from eating mushroom

or been able to get that one that made you run super fast or is that the star that was the star or what was the one when you were able to shoot the fireballs It was like a little flower plant or something. Yes. Where was all that? I was waiting for that.

Or Mario to jump over some barrels or something. I don't know. Well, when everything gets back to normal, he gets the king, her father gets evolutionized, I guess, back to normal. And it turns out to be our second favorite Lance. Lance Hendrickson Bishop the malians

yeah he was on set for five minutes record his scene and then yeah it's just uh he turns back into human

and I don't even know remember what he said yeah like he says something and then he like coughs like some dust or fungus out and then walks off to he doesn't even film a scene

with anybody. No, he's in that room by himself, sitting in a chair and he gets up. It says, Daisy's father is restored as king and the citizens celebrate and immediately destroy anything with Cuba's likeness. Daisy decides to stay in Dino Hatton and kisses Luigi goodbye as she opens the portal for him and Mario to return to Brooklyn. All right. So they go back to that meteorite room where the, um, they go and Mario's feeling the wall.

It's not all crazy. how they came in. He's like, it's all hard. And she goes, so Daisy takes the little crystal again, and she does her magic, and it makes the wall turn into the portal. And Mario jumps in. It's like, come on, Luigi, let's go. And he's like, all right, come on. And Daisy's like, nah, I'm, I'm going to stay here. And it's like, why? We saved you. Come on. And Luigi confessing his love for her. And she's like, no, I'm going to stay here and get to know my dad. dad and all this. So Luigi's like,

he's all heartbroken. She goes, all right, we'll see you. So he jumps in. Why did he stay? He was a hero in Dino Haddon in Brooklyn. He's a horrible plumber that's not making any money.

No, because when they got back, it said three weeks later, when they got back to Brooklyn, or they were in Brooklyn then three weeks later after that, Luigi's sitting on the couch all bummed down. Mario goes, Come on, just turn that frown upside down.

We got stuff to do. And then they're watching the news. And the news is saying that the Mario brothers are the heroes of Brooklyn. They're like, yeah, all right, cool. We're heroes. Everyone loves us. And then someone comes knocking on the door. And it's, excuse me, it's Daisy.

And she comes busting in. She's got her little plumber gear on holding a gun. She goes, come on, I need you guys to help me on a new mission. And that's your movie. Sequo. Which we never got. What? Yeah, this movie was all over the place.

And they tried to sprinkle in some little things from the game and it just didn't work. In my opinion, I mean, no sense. Anything from the game that was in this movie made no sense. I mean, but shout out to everyone that was in the film that they did their parts. I mean, they read the script and spat out the lines, but the budget was between 42 to 48 million and a box office 38.9 million. It almost made its budget back. But not. Not by much.

Oh, man. Yeah, this one, it's, it is what it is, everyone. But I don't know. I mean, will I watch this again? Probably not. Will I buy the Blue Way? I don't think so. I think it needs, like, one of those one company's like Vinegar Syndrome or something to do, like a special edition with the slip cover and everything.

I'd pick it up then. I don't know This one was Get some of that Flesh for Frankestine love I don't know I don't think I would buy this But will I watch it again

Probably not It was It's worth watching everyone I mean just If you haven't seen it Check it out But it's I don't know man

It just didn't do it for me If, I mean, I, I played the games and everything, but I just, I don't know. I think it, I think if, if you, like, are into like so bad it's good movies, I think you'd have, get a kick out of this. Yeah, I think that would be it because it's. But if you're looking for a straight Super Mario video game adaptions, you're not, getting it in this movie. No, this ain't it.

So it'd be best to go see that new one. And I believe it's, you can get it streaming now or rent it. But this one was a little rough for me to get through, but I got through it. All right, this. All right. Okay. I wanted to start rewatching these anyway. because we got that new one coming out.

I'm going to go back to 2010 to the first film, and this is Insidious. It is streaming on Max or whatever it's called now. Family looks to prevent evil spirits from trapping their comatose child in the realm called The Further. I have not seen this in a while. How many movies is there three? Or the new one, well, the new one would be five.

What was it? Okay. What was the last key? Was that the third one or the fourth one? The fourth one. The third one has to do with a completely different family. I want to say the dad of the family's Dermont Maruni, I think. Maybe.

And then the fourth one has to do with Lynn Shea's character's, a backstory. I remember that one being sad. Yeah. The last key. But the new one is a direct sequel to the first two. I don't remember seeing. No,

it was the second one that was sad because I remember sitting in the theater by myself. Because I remember when I, well, you know what, we'll get into it. We get into it next episode. But yeah, check out the first one in city.

came out in 2010 and we'll run through it all preparing for Insidious, the red door, which is, when's that come out? Next month. July, July 7th. I don't know. I know you guys didn't care for the last key. I liked it. I remember the first one. I don't really remember any of the other ones.
