What's up everybody?
Welcome back to a brand new episode of THR Quick Reviews.
I'm your host Brian.
With me, as always, this is my brother, Nez.
What's up, man?
Yo, what's up, everybody?
We're back with a quick one.
Well, they just...
he colony?
Yeah, I saw
colony. Let's do both
of them. We'll give you guys
a two first. But let them know
what we're doing, what the first one's going to be.
We're doing the brand
new, what would
you categorize as mascot horror?
Children's show horror?
I guess. It's just
labeled horror here, but it was
a, what is
Wikipedia calls it
black comedy supernatural horror
okay
we're here to talk about
2026 as buddy
dressed as a unicorn a beloved children's
TV host reveals the true self
reviews his true self as a dark and violent
force of nature
that is Google
let's see what IMTV
has to say
A brave girl and her friends must escape a kids television show.
But it doesn't really tell you anything.
This is directed by Casper Kelly, which I know him from.
That little short he did for Cartoon Network,
too many cooks.
And he did a segment in VHS.
Was it VHS Halloween?
was that the
yeah
yeah I don't remember
which one but
everyone's saying yeah
he directed one of those
I was like I don't even remember
that movie at all
this stars
Kristen
Melotti Delaney Quinn
Tofer Grace
Caleb Williams
Benny Taylor
Eric Baza
Patton Oswald
Keegan Michael Key
Michael Shannon
and a bunch of other people
Nez what did you think
of Buddy
they could have shaved off maybe
15 10 minutes of this
absolutely
because
I mean I get they were trying to set up
what this was
who buddy
was I mean I mean kind of basically a a Barney rip-off that's what I got if you guys were
I'm sure some of you watched Barney I mean I watched it only because of my kids and
that's what they wanted to watch and I was kind of curious on what it was but it was kind of
that type of type of show of who buddy was the buddy the unicorn I kept hearing
everybody talking about it. I just seen pictures. I didn't watch any trailers, so I really didn't know
what this movie was going to be about other than, oh yeah, some Barney looking guy. He's going to
be killing kids in a TV show. And I was like, all right, that sounds cool. Let me check it out.
Because one of my buddies, he saw it, but he said he fell asleep. So he went with me the other
night and we saw it again or he saw it again um but overall did he fall asleep because he was
tired or because he thought the movie was boring he fell asleep because he was tired he fell asleep when
we were watching again and i was sitting there watching i heard going snow and i just said dude wake up
i said don't recline you recline and that's it so that's why i don't recline because i know i'll fall
asleep but I mean I was tired but but I got through it so again I really didn't know
much about who who buddy was or what the premise was for this for this movie other than him
killing kids and everything but I mean sitting there watching it I mean the beginning
kind of just stretches out on okay this is this is the setting for buddy and the kids
like a like a Barney type show kind of had that vibes of a peewey's playhouse as well and so I was like
okay I mean I like what's going on here and then once it took its turn into what it was going to
be like the the horror the rated arness of the film I was like all right I mean but the way
everyone was selling it to me like yeah he's killing all these kids so I was like all right
I'm with it
I mean
Have you guys seen an ice tree man
On how much death and blood
And guts and that was
But this one was kind of tame
I was like
Okay but I mean I liked what was going on
I had to watch something
To for someone to explain the ending
Because it kind of just ended
And that was it
I mean but overall
I mean it was okay
I didn't like
Leave the theater like
Oh man
That was awesome
I want to go see it again
and all this.
If I watch it again,
it'll be streaming somewhere.
But I wouldn't,
I don't think I'd go back to the theater
to sit through this again.
But,
I mean, the all-star of the film
is Freddie,
Delaney Quinn.
I really liked her character
on what she,
who she was,
what she was doing.
And as the horror started to kick in.
So, but,
I mean,
we're not going to spoil this.
But at the end, when everything was going haywire,
and you were kind of figure out what was going on,
I was like, ah, okay.
I mean, I see that.
I mean, I enjoyed it.
Again, I had to watch something for the ending to be explaining me.
But, I mean, I did like that.
But, yeah, like I said, they could have shaved a few minutes off of this,
and it wasn't what everyone was saying.
Everyone was like, ah, it's one of the greatest movies ever.
And the theater was packed.
My buddy's going again tonight to see it.
He took his daughter to see it a few days ago,
and she loved it, and she wanted to go see it again.
So he goes, hey, man, you want to come see it?
And I'm like, I'm too tired.
So, but again, I mean, I thought, I liked the movie.
I thought it was good.
Good to see on the big TV screen,
because I love the aspect ratio of,
how it looked when it was like the the the the the TV set for you old schoolers with the square
in the middle and then when it kind of goes into the real world I mean that all that stuff's in
the trailers whole was nothing uh like spoiling it so but I mean then then the it kind of
fanned out and it used up the whole screen but every time I went back to the TV show setting
it went it got into a square but but again overall I liked the production
of the film, the effects and the blood and all that when that started.
But it was just okay.
I mean, like I said, I don't think I'm going to go see this again in the theater.
But what did you think of it?
Well, I've been hearing about this for the past year,
because if everybody don't know, I do the news,
post the news and stuff on our social media.
So I've been hearing this about it for,
probably a year maybe a little over a year
and it's just been getting hyped and height and height
and then I seen
this YouTuber
Stoney the Great which
if you guys haven't watched his stuff go check it out
he does really great stuff
he did a review on Buddy
and sold me on it
said that this movie
doesn't give a fuck it kills kids so i'm like okay i'm gonna check it out because uh if anybody
didn't hear our ice cream man episode i did not like it as much as nez did so i checked this out and
it started pretty slow and then when it got into the story i was i was starting to get into it
but then when the kills happened i was just kind of like this is not
what I was sold on.
Yeah.
It's not ruthless.
It's not R-rated.
Very safe, very tame.
But with that being said, I did like where the story was going.
I do agree with you.
It could have about 15, 20 minutes shaved off would have probably been nice.
I did like the aspect ratio changes.
All these voice actors,
did not know they were in a patent of Oswald
Michael Shannon
the only one I knew was
Keegan Michael Key was the voice of buddy
I didn't even know Tofer Grace
and Clinton Howard were in this
so it was cool to see them show up
but
I was still entertained but I was
left a little disappointed
by the end of the movie
yeah I was too
I mean I mean I
didn't know all these big stars were going to be in this movie i mean patten oswald once uh he
played uh the voice of strappy it was um freddie's backpack and like you said keegan michael
key was buddy tofer grace was uh i don't know what's count well he was a dad i'll say that
so when he popped up on the screen i was like whoa okay and then
I didn't know Kristen Melotti was in it.
I've seen her in a few things.
She was in that.
She was a main character in that show,
The Penguin on HBO Max.
Yeah.
So I knew she was in it from like pictures and stuff.
I didn't know Clinton Howard was in it.
When he popped up on the screen,
I take it nobody in that my screen,
he knew who he was because I was the only one.
They went, whoa, yeah.
We're not spoiling it,
but his character is a little.
questionable.
Yeah, there was
I'd say I'd be spoiling. There was
something with his character and his little
puppet too as well.
Buffy, uh, buddy.
He does some questionable things too.
Yeah, he did.
I was like, you know what scene I'm talking about.
I was like, whoa, where are we going
with this? I know. I was like,
damn.
And Michael Shannon, I did not know that was him until the credits were rolling.
He was the voice of Willie, the little puppet.
Cowboy puppet.
Yeah, that was with Glenn Howard.
I was like, whoa, what's going on here?
In that one scene with them two, I was like, whoa, what's happening?
Yeah.
Oh, man, but yeah, I mean, it's worth a watch.
We're not saying don't go see it.
If you want to go see in the theater,
you'll probably have a good movie theater experience
because this is the flavor of the month.
Every showing that I would click on,
it was like pretty much full.
I mean, my whole role I was in was full.
And I was just like, wow.
I was like, why?
I mean, I guess maybe it's just word of mouth and people are curious and want to see it.
Well, it's kind of also besides like backrooms and analog, creepypasta stuff,
this is kind of like the flavor right now with the, you see Mr. Crockett?
Came out on Hulu a couple years ago.
Let me see.
Mr. Crockett.
Oh, yeah, I did see it.
There's another one on screen box called, I think I get in the name right,
Monkees' magical merry-go-round.
It's pretty much buddy.
Okay.
Mr. Crocker.
I know what it is.
I haven't seen it.
And, of course, you got, like, five nights at Freddy's,
and going back a few years ago, the Banana Splits movie.
So this has been kind of a thing the past few years.
especially with all these
Winnie the Pooh and
Mickey or the mouse
Have you seen Pinocchio on strong?
No, is that out?
Yeah, it's available to rent.
Oh, because people are,
one of my friends at work,
he's like, I want to go see that,
it looks good.
I liked it.
And I'm like, okay,
I guess it didn't come to our area
in the theater, so.
Pinocchio doesn't,
Pinocchio doesn't give a fuck.
and buddy didn't either in this
I mean for a way he was acting
um
there's more to the story
because once
it gets to the end when we're kind of revealed on what
what's going on what's
what buddy is doing
and I was kind of like
okay I like I mean
the guy I wrote this man he actually
sat there and thought about it
so I don't know if there's going to be a sequel
I assume this is doing really good in the box office
because like I said I mean especially in Reno
every screening had just a ton of people in there
and when did this come out
this came out on the 28th of last week
yeah yeah okay see well shit we're only on the fourth
all right so
A week and some change or two weeks now.
But everybody is still rushing out to see this movie.
I think it's getting good word of mouth.
And there's these videos going around
about parents taking their kids to this movie
because they didn't know it was a rated R movie
and all this.
And I was like, man, it's just, that's bullshit.
I mean, it was just.
Well, that guy, Stoney the Great, I was talking about.
I guess he got some hate for people saying that he was glorifying children getting killed.
And he had to make a video just basically saying it's a fucking movie.
Oh.
He's not glorifying children actually being killed.
It was actually kind of tame, and we don't really...
We don't really see any of the kids killed.
A lot of off-screen stuff.
Yeah.
I mean, the first kid that gets it, we'll give you this one.
It was like, we didn't even know.
He just kind of disappeared.
We knew what was happening.
He was kind of smarting off to Buddy.
And then Buddy took him off to the side.
And that was pretty much all we seen.
And then we found out later that that kid is dead.
So I was like, okay.
I mean, I was like, I wish I could have seen that.
In movies, when, in movies,
when kids get killed, especially
with something like this? I mean,
yeah, you want to see it.
But, oh, man.
Yeah, we're not
glorifying it. We just
it's a movie.
It's make believe. Yeah, I mean,
if you're doing it, let's see it.
I mean, like,
like ice cream man, all those kids that were
murdering and disemboweling people,
I was like, whoa.
I mean, I gave a shout out to
those parents that let them be,
in that movie. And this one
as well, but it didn't seem, it wasn't
as brutal as
ice cream in. Or something
as recent as it, Welcome to Derry.
Yeah. Those are kids, those kids were getting it left and right.
Yeah, this one was just like, if
we'd see the buildup to it and it was kind of like an
off-screen thing. So, but I mean, I mean, there's more stuff
at the end. I don't, I don't want to spoil it. And I really did
like that.
when we find out kind of how these kids got to the buddy world.
So I was like, when, uh, what's her name, uh, Freddie, the main girl,
when she gets the part at the end, I kind of wanted more of that.
Yeah, I was, I figured that there would be more, but I don't know.
I mean, is there a sequel coming or?
Well, it's made 9 million, but I'm not seeing what the budget was.
Budget couldn't have been too hard for this.
I mean, it got 89% on the tomato meter and 76 for the popcorn meter.
I mean, you take rotten tomatoes for what it's worth.
I mean, everyone is other than everyone is talking about it and everybody's rushing out to go see this movie.
I mean, I did too.
I was intrigued on what was going on.
So, but I still like,
eh, it was okay.
I didn't leave the theater like some people were like,
oh, man, that was awesome.
And because it was like during the violence and everything,
they were kind of going, ooh, ooh, and then when you're laughing,
when you're supposed to laugh, they laughed.
But I don't know.
I was looking at it more for the acting.
I mean, like I said, what's her name?
She was the All-Star.
Delaney Quinn is Freddie.
She really did a good job.
Or even Caleb Williams.
He played Wade or CJ.
I liked him.
One kid was funny with the glasses.
Oh, man, that kid pissed me off.
I mean, he just did something that pissed me off.
I was like, man.
Yeah, I know what you're talking about.
But he was funny to me during their little journey.
yeah I did like that I mean because if you watch a trailer or Barney and everything you know what's all shot on a little sound stage and the way they draw things in the back because they were the one of the kids got hurt and they were saying buddy was telling him yeah he went off to was it Crystal City or Diamond City yeah Diamond City to see the doctors there's better doctors there
because I guess that kid
who got hurt,
he went to see the nurse.
There was a nurse in Buddy World.
I liked how when they got out of the yard.
And it was like,
soon as you get out of the yard,
it turns into a scary forest.
And they were trying to get the Diamond City or whatever.
And they kind of show it,
but it just, you know,
it looks like it's painting on the wall
or something like that.
And the way the kids are looking at,
like,
got to get over there and then
when they get there and they find it
and they're like, hey, wait a minute.
I think that was a part that really
made me laugh.
But then again,
if you're curious
and you don't mind sitting
in the theater watching this,
because it was the beginning
to me was the part that drug.
I mean, I get it.
I mean, they were trying to set it up for you
for what to come, but I was just like,
they were trying to give you that
Barney TV show feel. Yeah.
The only thing I could find was the budget seems to be around under 3 million.
Yeah.
So so far, let's say it is three, even three,
that's made three times its budget already.
Well, if anything, I mean, the sets, they had to build.
I don't know how much that costs, but I'm sure it costs a lot.
Yeah, and I'm sure.
Keegan Michael Key, Pat and Oswald, Michael Shannon
they probably didn't come cheap
or maybe for all we know
they knew the director. This was a favor.
I guess maybe. I mean, that's the only way I can think.
I'm sure they didn't get
millions to be in this.
So I don't know.
They're showing way too much in the trailer.
Geez, they just showed kind of almost the ending.
I won't tell you what it was, but when you see it, you'll know.
So, but there's a phone number that you can call that's in on the, the trailer.
They show it really quick.
I was kind of like, wait, what is this?
I didn't.
Because a buddy of mine said,
called it and then I guess he started getting text messages from from buddy and I'm like
what wait what so um effort I'm gonna call it everyone and we're gonna see what uh buddy
has to say so if you want to call them too I'll tell you the number it's 5 71
uh,
642,
uh,
8339.
8339.
I wasn't supposed to press a 1,
was I?
Oh, we'll see.
Why don't we don't get ding for this?
Yeah, I better stop.
I don't know if we're going to get ding for it.
Well, that's what it is.
So, but,
um, I don't know, but my buddy,
I guess he texted
it too and he started getting text messages
from buddy. I don't
want all that but
kind of reminds me
of uh, did you see
wrinkles the clown?
I've never seen that one. That's like
a little documentary. Yeah.
And there's a number you could call.
And, uh, we
talked about it on the East Society a few years
ago and I called it.
Isn't wrinkles like if you want to scare your kids?
Yeah, if you got bad kids that are
acting up and you want to put
some fear in them, you call up wrinkles
and he comes over and
scares the hell out of your kids or does
something.
Oh man.
But yeah, again, buddy,
I mean, if you're curious and you want to see
it on the big screen, I say go for
it. But
again, I mean, I'll watch it again
once it starts streaming somewhere.
But, I mean, I liked
when we
kind of revealed on what
what's going on and why you kind of like i mean there really isn't a why on what buddy's doing but
you can see how how the the characters in buddy world got to to buddy world the kids the other actors
that are there's a mailman there's a nurse and and all that so i liked that on how how how
how they did that but we don't get all that to the
end.
So, but
if you got to rate it,
what are you going to give it?
Um, just off of the first
watch, I think,
uh,
seven,
seven and a half.
Um,
I'd be right in the middle.
I probably just give it a five.
So,
but,
um,
I give production,
uh,
10 because,
I mean,
they had to build all this,
the,
the sets of everything.
So,
and I really liked all that.
If there was CGI in it,
I didn't catch it.
Do you think that was there any?
I'm trying to think back.
I don't think there was.
If there was,
it was minor.
Yeah.
And I don't know about AI.
I didn't see anything in that.
Usually the internet is blown up when we,
when they figure out something's AI.
Yeah.
So,
I mean,
because they were going for it for ice cream, man.
And the kills for what I'm
remember all practical yeah well the kills that they show yeah so I mean I liked I
liked what was happening in this but all right boys and girls that's buddy
The next one
The next one is
Colony
It's a rated hour
It was two hours and three minutes
Uh
Professor
C. Jung
attends a biotech conference only to
witness a spiral into
is it catastrophic
or whatever.
When a rapidly mutating virus is unleashed
as the outbreak spreads
and the infected begin to transform
authorities seal off the entire
facility. All right. This is directed
by Yon San
from what I understand is the guy that directed a train to Busan
Peninsula yeah Peninsula and some other things
written by Choi Q. Siok I think that's like you saying and
Jan Sangho I'm a butcher all these names but I'll give him a shot
Junji
Hewn hewn
Ko Kyo
Hawan or Wan
I don't know
I can't pronounce it
G Chang Wu
Kim Shin Rock
Go Seoul
Angus
Angus
Angung
Bangus
and some other people
but
Good job
Brian
what did you think
of a colony
I liked it
I didn't like it as much as a train to Busan.
And when I heard it was from the same guy,
I was hoping that we get a little more train to Busan,
but this was a little more peninsula.
Yeah.
Because this was a little more action horror.
And Train to Busan had a little bit more emotion,
a little bit more heart to it.
And I was wondering if this was going to be set in the world of Train to Busan.
but we get
kind of different acting
zombies in this one which I thought
was cool
and I like the setting
I missed a lot of the dialogue
because when you're watching the action
you're not really reading the subtitles
so this is definitely
it needs a rewatch but
for the most part I liked it
yeah
this this movie was awesome
they could have shaved a few minutes off
I don't think it needed to rebe
quite two hours, but...
You think 90 minutes is the sweet spot?
Yeah, I mean, you can get your point across and everything.
With the Korean zombies, I mean, I've noticed that there's similarities from train to
Busan to peninsula to what was that show?
Kingdom, hashtag alive and stuff like that.
I mean, like our Walking Dead and Romero stuff,
and everyone was just,
excuse me,
kind of just trotting along.
I mean,
these ones,
they really did a,
um,
a different take on how the zombies or the infected were.
I liked how they kind of like worked in stages on,
from when you first turned,
and then,
these ones were kind of like
Bub, they can learn
as they were going along.
I mean, they couldn't talk or, well,
I don't know that one scene,
but I mean, but overall,
I enjoyed it, man, but once
it got going, I mean, once it kicks in,
you can watch like the first 20 minutes
on YouTube.
Somebody, somebody threw it up.
But when
we see what's going on and we see
why this is happening,
It was basically a disgruntled employee or something,
trying to get his attention to the main guy that runs this building
where all the science stuff is going on.
And I liked how he just, he called like the cops and told them like,
hey, this is going to happen here.
So I'm letting you guys know all hell's about to break loose.
And then when it did, it did.
But also, like I said, I'm watching the trailer.
These infected, of course, they're going to run after you and bite you and eat you and all that.
But there was some other things on what was going on in this, which I won't spoil.
Yeah, that was a big surprise.
Yeah.
I was acting.
Uh-huh.
I was like, oh, okay.
Because if you guys remember in train to Busan, when the lights went out, it's like they couldn't see.
And we kind of had that in this.
a little.
But there were some other things that this director decided to change with the lore of the Korean zombies and everything.
So I liked what was happening in here and what was going on.
I mean, the acting, I thought everybody did get, did a good job.
I was expecting it to be, they kind of went into the whole human factor on the characters on what was going on and them trying to survive.
Yeah, but not as much as trained
to Busan. Oh, no, man, that movie had me
in tears. I mean, I just saw that
recently a couple weeks ago when they brought
it back to the theater and I was
sitting there crying, especially at the end.
Oh, my God.
That destroyed me
the very, very first time I watched,
the first time I saw that, I was at work
and I was watching it on my phone
and I was sitting there crying my eyes out at
the end. I was like, why am I crying?
But she wouldn't sing the song too
To her father
But she sang the song for her father
Yeah I was like
Oh man
But yeah
But with this one was going on
I want to see it again
Will I buy it?
Hell yeah
I'm gonna buy this when it comes out
I mean this is definitely in my
In my top 10
Of horror films of the year
Because I was really juiced for this
Because when I went and seen it man
That was a hell of people in there
Um
I thought this was that
that other one
hope
yeah that one
I think that was next week
yeah I think on the ninth
I think that's
I don't want to say dinosaurs
but is it like big monsters or something
I think it's like aliens or something
okay I mean that one it looks good
I know it's supposed to have Michael
Fastbender in it
what
I think
I don't know
but I mean with this one man
this this movie was awesome
I love
I loved it. I wanted to go see it in the theater again, but it's only playing like one time now.
But it's still in the theater, but it only gets one showing.
So, but yeah, again, once it comes out in the physical media or whatever, I'm buying this one because I really did love it.
I thought every character, especially the main girl.
I assume this Sejong, I think that was her.
but she was
the
no that was a guy
that started at all
I can't remember
there's a character in it
that's that
I'm about the final girl
yeah her and that other guy
was like her ex-husband
but they still
worked together
yeah
and shout out to that guy
that character's wife man
she was still like
I mean she knew
that her husband
was working with
his ex and she she didn't care.
Some people are like, hell no, but I mean, I don't know.
I will say, without spoiling it, I will say people work together more easily than they
do in other zombie movies.
Yeah.
I mean, again, they're showing way too much in this trailer.
But, I mean, for those you to have seen it, you know on how these, these weren't
your traditional zombies running after you trying to eat you.
There was other stuff going on.
I liked how it had that, that Demons 2 vibe because everyone was stuck in this high-rise building.
And the police were outside, quarantine and keeping everybody in there.
So it kind of had that, that feeling of it and what was going on.
Have we done Demons 2?
I think we only did the first one.
put it on the list.
But again, I mean, this one, this movie was awesome.
I really loved it.
What rating will you give it?
Oh, this one's an easy eight and a half for me.
I'm going to go nine.
I'd give it a 10, but it was just,
they could have shaved off a few minutes.
It was a little long.
But it flew by because when the action kicks in,
it goes full throttle to the end.
And what happened?
At the very end, I was like, oh, cool.
So I don't know if there's going to be more or anything, but I don't mind it if they just ended it here.
I mean, the world's going crazy and this is how we're going to leave it.
I'm like, I'm okay with it.
So, but Coney definitely gets a thumbs up from both of us.
And the other one, buddy, see it if you want.
I mean, if you're curious.
I mean.
Yeah, stay away from fairly.
Yeah, stay away from trailers for both of these films.
So.
Matter of fact, stay away from trailers regardless.
Unless it's a teaser, like a little minute teaser.
Yeah, like the, the Doomsday.
I mean, they're showing a lot, but.
They kind of have to.
Yeah.
Because there was no real build, build up the Doom.
Yeah, so we'll, we'll see what happens there.
But yeah, Buddy in theaters now.
Connie, it's still in the theaters
around here.
And if it is, and you guys haven't made it out
to see it yet, definitely
go see that. It was cool.
And you got to read quick so you can at least
see what was going on
on the screen.
Doing pretty good. It looks like
off a $12 million
budget, it's made $51 million
so far.
That's good. Oh, shout out to
that one character.
It's not really a spoiler.
on it in the trailer.
The guy that was carrying his sister around.
The handicab lady?
Yeah, she was in a wheelchair, but then...
I'm sorry, man.
That guy's better than me.
I was thinking, damn, what she weighed?
Like a buck 10, maybe?
Because he was just running around.
Yeah.
Because she was in a wheelchair.
And, I mean, it was his sister.
So he was like, well,
I'm not just going to leave you here.
So he had this little rigging that he rigged up.
It was basically like a backpack with kind of a seat on it.
And she was sitting there strapped to him by he's running for a,
where everybody's running for their lives.
And he's holding on to her and running and running with her back.
Yeah, because the way she's positioned,
it looks like she's riding him.
Yeah.
He was like riding him like a taunton.
I was like,
damn man again she didn't look that heavy but even still i mean 100 pounds is 100 pounds
or even if she's 90 pounds and i guess you can say you probably had all that adrenaline
gone yeah because when these these are the fast-moving ones and when they start moving and once
they get infected it's it's on and you better just haul ass i mean i in this world i'm i'm sure
the fatties would go first
for you zombie land
lovers but
man this movie was really good
I loved it
it was just like oh man
so I was glad that I got to go see this
in the theater but
again buddy colony
buddies in the theater everywhere
it's going strong colony
it's dwindling down to one show
well in my area
so yeah my area is like
showing like one time a day
yeah so but
buddy's getting multiple
start times all day
and late at night too
as well but
all right everyone that's going to be it
go to the horror returns
com for everything dealing with the network
and we have more
we still have wrestling to do
but just a lot of stuff
has been going on in my life
so we
we got this one in for you
Yeah, so expect Summer Slam review soon.
And then after that, we got, what is it this time?
Sunday night's main event.
That's when it's happening?
Yeah, they got the poster with the Saturday crossed out on Sunday.
Well, we'll see.
They're stacking a card this Sunday night's main event because there's no pay-per-view in September.
All right.
We'll see.
But,
yeah, we got stream fiends
with thrashing,
and we have
action returned with
sudden death.
Yeah, I almost said sudden impact.
Have we ever
done any of those dirty hair movies?
I think we did one.
The one where he's trying to stop the
assassin
or whatever, the shooter.
Oh, the Scorpio or whatever his name is?
Yeah, I think we did that one.
Okay.
But yeah, we got, we got some more.
And get ready for East Society's 31 Days of Horror.
I had a list.
I got to find it.
I don't know what I did with it.
So, but I'm still throwing some of them.
A lot of short films, the little short films,
the little short horror films that we always find on YouTube.
So, frightful reflections.
I'm going to do one of those again really soon.
Yeah, I got an idea for one.
All right, cool.
Again, everyone, go to thehorroriturns.com for everything.
And there's links to all.
the shows there. So definitely
check all that out.
As well as the latest of the regular show,
what you guys do?
The Year in Horror, 1993.
We did Needful Things and the Dark Half.
Okay.
I haven't seen those on a while.
Definitely have to...
And you have been requested to be on next week's episode,
which is Onslaught,
the new movie Onslaught,
and Universal Soldier.
the first one
Yeah
Okay
Um
Is the Hunslai playing?
I know it's not playing in my town
Should be
It came out in theaters today
So
Let me check my
Theaters I go to in Reno
I know I got it here
But it's
Only a couple of showings a day
Okay
It's here
It's only hour and a half
yeah rewatch the guest okay because the director said it's in the same universe
did he direct yeah okay well all right yeah I'll have to go check it out I didn't
know I was playing are you guys doing Resident Evil yeah all right speaking of Resident Evil
when I was getting popcorn last night you guys know the the popcorn buckets and
everything. I've seen the one for Resident Evil. Yeah, I was looking at it. They had it on the day. I was like,
and why? Why is this? This is basically one of those little lunchbox type of things. Yeah,
basically he said the movie, he's not redoing the first game as a movie. It's set in the universe as
the first game. Okay. But you're going to see a lot of stuff you would see in the game.
All right, good. So I'm assuming.
in that is in the game
in the movie.
I noticed
because I was wondering
about the popcorn thing
why is this
when I saw the trailer
before a buddy
um
this guy's
running around
delivering
I don't know
if it was a heart
or something
medical something
they has to keep cool
so it's in that little
cooler
and I went
oh okay that's why
the popcorn thing
is what it is
I mean I wouldn't
put popcorn in it.
I kind of want it.
A lot of them things I wouldn't put popcorn in.
I mean, some of them, like, we've talked about before,
you only put, like, maybe a handful of popcorn in it.
They, uh, on subject of popcorn things,
for those of you that collect them, cool.
They had, I guess,
there's some new Harry Potter show coming out, right?
Yeah, in December.
Yeah, and then they're bringing the movies back to the,
theater so that train
they were riding on that took him to Hogwarts
they had that and I was looking
at it and that thing was like 60 bucks
I was like damn for this
yeah they're becoming more collector's
items yeah
and there was
like
books of spells
with that talking
witch hat
on it doesn't talk
but and then there was something else I can't
remember
you see the
for, you know, they're bringing back
Infinity War to the theaters.
Yeah, the Iron Man ones?
Yeah, and the Gaunt, the lights up.
Oh, it does?
Yeah, the gems light up, the stones.
I just saw a picture of it
because there was pictures on the...
I think the Iron Man lights up too.
All right.
Watch it out.
I don't think I'll go see in the theater,
but I like to see.
Yeah, there's supposed to be like extra.
four or five minutes that
connected to doomsday
extra four or five minutes
yeah
because they say doomsday takes
place
close to
end game
so they're supposed to be like
extra footage
all right
well I don't know we'll see
I'm sure they'll throw it on
Disney Plus
yeah
trying to get that money.
Yep.
I'm going to be talking about this film on the next E-society.
Did you watch that movie, Itch?
No.
Check it out.
I think it's on Prime.
Oh, or in Deep Water.
Did you watch that?
You didn't make it sound too great, so I kind of put it on the back burner.
Yeah, I mean, if you could just, I just need something to throw in there.
Just check it out.
I was, I'm glad I would have been mad if I saw it in the theater.
But, and I was thinking, why is this in the movie theater?
But, okay.
So, but yeah, the next East Society, it's going to be mainly movies because I, we didn't record an episode last week.
So I was just watching movie after movie after movie.
I was fine.
I went to the movie a few times and then, uh,
started finding all these other ones that were streaming.
So definitely give that.
Listen when we put it out.
But again, go to thehorrorit returns.com for everything dealing with the network.
And that is going to be it for the night, boys and girls.
So come back for more.
So until next time, be safe out there and party on.
And be good to each other.
